- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on? It's Romeo, and it is Thursday.
- 0:02Speaker 1: We made it.
- 0:03Speaker 2: We're almost there to the weekend, so let's see what
- 0:05Speaker 2: we talked about. A little bit about the Dodgers, and
- 0:08Speaker 2: they're not doing so well.
- 0:09Speaker 1: What else are we going to do?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Oh, some of the regular listeners wanted to fight with
- 0:12Speaker 2: each other, so we'll talk a little bit about that
- 0:14Speaker 2: as well. Let's talk about being in the doghouse. When's
- 0:17Speaker 2: the last time you got in trouble with your wife?
- 0:19Speaker 2: Siak Lu got in trouble last night because he bet
- 0:21Speaker 2: $ 20 on the Dodgers, and they lost, so apparently he's
- 0:25Speaker 2: in the doghouse. But I want to read this to you.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It says, hey, Rome, hey, let me ask you a question.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I just got put in the doghouse last night. My wife,
- 0:39Speaker 2: she told me she was making something for dinner that
- 0:42Speaker 2: I didn't really want. And she said, well, that's all
- 0:46Speaker 2: she's making. So you either eat it or not. So
- 0:50Speaker 2: instead of eating it, I went out and got me
- 0:53Speaker 2: something that I wanted, came back home, and she got
- 0:55Speaker 2: pissed that I didn't buy dinner for everybody. Now, she
- 0:59Speaker 2: wouldn't have cooked dinner had she known I was going
- 1:05Speaker 2: to go out and get something.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:10Speaker 2: But you didn't go out and get it, right? She
- 1:14Speaker 2: started the chain of events, right? She's the one that
- 1:17Speaker 2: started the chain of events by saying, hey, This is
- 1:20Speaker 2: what's for dinner.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I'm making it.
- 1:23Speaker 2: If you don't want it, she didn't care that you
- 1:26Speaker 2: didn't want what she was making for dinner, right? Obviously,
- 1:28Speaker 2: it was something that she was okay with eating. And,
- 1:32Speaker 2: you know, at that point, you had to make a choice.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And she made something. Had she made something you liked,
- 1:39Speaker 2: you wouldn't have gone out, right? Is that what I'm understanding?
- 1:44Speaker 2: You wouldn't have gone out and gotten dinner? So it's
- 1:47Speaker 2: kind of on her.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Why are you in the doghouse?
- 1:50Speaker 2: I mean, right?
- 1:54Speaker 1: R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Yeah, I don't know. I don't think it's on you, bro.
- 2:03Speaker 2: If you told her you didn't want that for dinner,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and she said, well, if you don't want it, then
- 2:09Speaker 2: don't eat it, and so you went and got yourself
- 2:11Speaker 2: something for dinner. We're all adults. We're not children. And
- 2:16Speaker 2: now it's your fault that you went and got something
- 2:18Speaker 2: that Well, yeah, I think you need to reevaluate. What
- 2:22Speaker 2: are you in the doghouse for? She should be in
- 2:25Speaker 2: the doghouse. So this guy sent me a text message
- 2:27Speaker 2: talking about he's in the doghouse with his wife because
- 2:29Speaker 2: last night she.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Was cooking dinner.
- 2:33Speaker 2: She started cooking dinner. He asked what she was making.
- 2:36Speaker 2: And he said he didn't want that. So she laid
- 2:39Speaker 2: down an ultimatum. It's either this or nothing. And so
- 2:43Speaker 2: he said, okay. And then he went and got himself
- 2:45Speaker 2: something to eat.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Now she's pissed.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Why she wouldn't have had cooked dinner had she known
- 2:54Speaker 2: that he was going to go out and get something. Well,
- 2:56Speaker 2: he didn't know he was going to go out and
- 2:57Speaker 2: get something until she said you either eat this or nothing.
- 3:01Speaker 2: So she started the chain of events that caused this
- 3:03Speaker 2: whole commotion.
- 3:05Speaker 1: But he's in the doghouse.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 3:07Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 3:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:32Speaker 1: That's what it sounds like, yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Nah, I think she got her memos messed up because
- 3:39Speaker 4: that rule only applies when you haven't cooked and nobody
- 3:44Speaker 4: better come up in the house with no food.
- 3:45Speaker 5: If ain't nobody else ate.
- 3:47Speaker 2: It's like everybody's got to eat.
- 3:50Speaker 1: If the meal is not made?
- 3:53Speaker 4: Already made.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Oh, if it's already made.
- 3:57Speaker 4: No, if I haven't, like, if I haven't cooked anything
- 4:00Speaker 4: or nobody, like the kids, nobody has ate and one.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Person comes in with food, that's rude.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Okay, but.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Like, you're supposed to make sure everybody, or at least ask, like, hey,
- 4:08Speaker 4: do you want something? Do you want me to bring
- 4:11Speaker 4: you something back or bring something back for everybody?
- 4:13Speaker 5: Well, what it sounds.
- 4:14Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 4:16Speaker 2: No, what it sounds like is she was making something
- 4:19Speaker 2: for dinner and he was already home and he said, well,
- 4:22Speaker 2: I don't really want that. So she told him you're
- 4:24Speaker 2: going to eat this or not or nothing.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And so that's when he went out.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I got that, and there's nothing wrong with that.
- 4:32Speaker 4: The only time it's wrong is if she didn't cook
- 4:35Speaker 4: and you came back with a meal for yourself and
- 4:38Speaker 4: your kids and everybody didn't have food.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Okay, I get what you're saying.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Stop making nasty stuff that your husband or kids are
- 4:46Speaker 4: not going to.
- 4:49Speaker 6: Eat.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Exactly. That's great. Thanks for calling.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Bye.
- 4:57Speaker 1: She ain't lying, though, man.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I mean, if you're going to make something that your
- 5:01Speaker 2: husband don't want, or like she said, the kids don't want,
- 5:05Speaker 2: and you're the only one that wants it, then you
- 5:07Speaker 2: can't get mad because they're going to order a pizza.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So this guy sent me a text message talking about
- 5:14Speaker 2: he's in the doghouse with his wife because last night
- 5:17Speaker 2: she was cooking dinner.
- 5:19Speaker 1: She started cooking dinner.
- 5:20Speaker 2: He asked what she was making, and he said he
- 5:23Speaker 2: didn't want that. So she laid down an ultimatum. It's
- 5:26Speaker 2: either this or nothing. And so He said, okay, and
- 5:30Speaker 2: then he went and got himself something to eat.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Now she's pissed.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Why she wouldn't have had cooked dinner had she known
- 5:40Speaker 2: that he was going to go out and get something.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Well, he didn't know he was going to go out and.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Get something until she said you either eat this or nothing.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So she started the.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Chain of events that caused this whole commotion, but he's
- 5:51Speaker 2: in the doghouse?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Good morning, what's going on?
- 5:54Speaker 5: What's up, Rome?
- 5:55Speaker 6: This is Seahawk Lou, man.
- 5:56Speaker 1: What up, Lou? What's up, man?
- 6:01Speaker 5: That's kind of messed up man That lady put that
- 6:04Speaker 5: man in the.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Doghouse For a dumb reason I think.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Well I mean Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 2: It's about as dumb as being in the doghouse for
- 6:17Speaker 2: betting 20 bucks on a baseball game.
- 6:20Speaker 5: His is worse. His is worse. That's gas money. You
- 6:28Speaker 5: know what I mean?
- 6:29Speaker 2: First of all, first of all, first of all, we'll
- 6:31Speaker 2: get back to it. $ 20 ain't getting you nowhere. In
- 6:34Speaker 2: Moscow it will.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I got to walk everywhere now. You know what I mean?
- 6:38Speaker 5: All right.
- 6:43Speaker 6: But I think what the guy should have done was, hey, kids, hey, wife,
- 6:49Speaker 6: I'm going to go get some burgers.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Does anybody want any? You know what I mean? Just
- 6:55Speaker 5: offer them. Don't just come back with fast food.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I don't think there was kids involved. It doesn't sound
- 7:00Speaker 2: like it. The wife told me she was making something
- 7:03Speaker 2: for dinner. And that if I didn't want it, that's
- 7:07Speaker 2: all there was going to be.
- 7:08Speaker 1: So he went out and got him something. So I
- 7:10Speaker 1: think it was just the two of them. Then she got.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Mad at him. Well, if she wanted to eat what
- 7:16Speaker 6: she made, I would have been like, you want a burger?
- 7:18Speaker 5: I'm going to go get it. You know what I mean?
- 7:22Speaker 3: There ain't nothing wrong with that.
- 7:25Speaker 6: You know, I think she's tripping.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Oh, I don't think anybody's going to agree with her,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but okay.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Get out of here.
- 7:31Speaker 1: 34, 25, 47, a seven. Yo Rome.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's not the fact that, uh, he bought himself food.
- 7:40Speaker 2: It's that whenever we say we don't want to eat something,
- 7:44Speaker 2: but that's all there is. Uh, they start complaining saying, Oh,
- 7:48Speaker 2: there's a food in the food in the fridge. Let's
- 7:51Speaker 2: just eat what there is. Um, who's, who's they men
- 7:54Speaker 2: start complaining. The problem is, um, and you may be
- 8:00Speaker 2: right about that. I, uh, I'm not totally sure what
- 8:03Speaker 2: you're saying there.
- 8:04Speaker 1: But we're adults. We're not children.
- 8:08Speaker 2: And that's the problem with a lot of you people
- 8:10Speaker 2: that are in relationships or marriages.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You think that you treat each other like children. I
- 8:17Speaker 1: am not a child.
- 8:19Speaker 2: If I don't want to eat what you're going to
- 8:21Speaker 2: make and you're going to lay the law down, I
- 8:22Speaker 2: don't have to eat your food.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I can go get my own or make my own.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But you... She's upset. She mad at dude because he
- 8:33Speaker 1: didn't want to eat what she made.
- 8:35Speaker 6: Okay.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Why is that a problem?
- 8:39Speaker 2: You should have, once he said, once he goes, I
- 8:43Speaker 2: don't want what you're making. And she tells him, well,
- 8:46Speaker 2: then you ain't going to eat nothing. It's either this
- 8:48Speaker 2: or nothing.
- 8:49Speaker 1: No, it's not. I'm a grown adult. I can go
- 8:52Speaker 1: get my own food. That's the point.
- 8:56Speaker 2: So this guy sent me a text message talking about
- 8:58Speaker 2: he's in the doghouse with his wife because last night
- 9:00Speaker 2: She was cooking dinner. She started cooking dinner. He asked
- 9:04Speaker 2: what she was making. And he said he didn't want that.
- 9:09Speaker 2: So she laid down an ultimatum. It's either this or nothing.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And so he said, okay. And then he went and
- 9:14Speaker 2: got himself something to eat.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Now she's pissed.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Why she wouldn't have had cooked dinner had she known
- 9:24Speaker 2: that he was going to go out and get something. Well,
- 9:25Speaker 2: he didn't know he was going to go out and
- 9:27Speaker 2: get something until she said, you either eat.
- 9:29Speaker 1: This or nothing.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So she started the chain of events that caused this
- 9:33Speaker 2: whole commotion, but he's in the doghouse.
- 9:36Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 9:37Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 9:38Speaker 5: What's up, Romeo? Raider Rob here.
- 9:39Speaker 1: What up, Rob?
- 9:41Speaker 5: What's up, man?
- 9:42Speaker 7: Hey, like most men, myself, when I get that phone call,
- 9:47Speaker 7: I already know.
- 9:48Speaker 4: When I stop to give me something to eat, I
- 9:50Speaker 4: always grab something for her, because if not, I won't
- 9:53Speaker 4: hear the end of it till the next day.
- 9:56Speaker 2: But first of all, this wasn't a phone call. They
- 9:58Speaker 2: were sitting at home. He, she started to make dinner.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Okay.
- 10:03Speaker 2: So it wasn't like he called and said, what's for dinner.
- 10:06Speaker 2: According to at least the way I read it as
- 10:07Speaker 2: they were at home, she started to make dinner. He said,
- 10:11Speaker 2: what are you making? She said this, he didn't want this.
- 10:14Speaker 2: And she said, well, that's all I'm making. So it's
- 10:16Speaker 2: either this or nothing. So he went and got himself something.
- 10:21Speaker 7: Oh, okay, okay, yeah. That's understandable then, too.
- 10:23Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying.
- 10:28Speaker 6: Yeah, and I also learned, too, when I hear that,
- 10:31Speaker 6: I don't say nothing no more because if not, I'll
- 10:33Speaker 6: be cooking for the next week.
- 10:35Speaker 5: I'm not trying to do that.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Well, that's why he's in the doghouse. He's got no
- 10:42Speaker 2: business being in the doghouse. Because look, man, sometimes we adults,
- 10:46Speaker 2: that's the problem, Rob.
- 10:47Speaker 1: We're not kids. We're adults. We can do whatever the
- 10:50Speaker 1: hell we want, whether we're in a relationship or not.
- 10:53Speaker 8: Apparently, not all of us.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Oh, that's hilarious.
- 11:01Speaker 9: Maybe, maybe.
- 11:03Speaker 1: All right, Rob, get out of here.
- 11:04Speaker 6: All right, brother.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Have a good one.
- 11:05Speaker 6: Later.
- 11:06Speaker 1: All righty, four, two, five, four, seven, seven.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Yo, Rome, I'm going to tell you right now, if
- 11:12Speaker 2: that was me and I started making dinner and my
- 11:14Speaker 2: husband didn't want it, the minute he said he's going
- 11:17Speaker 2: to grab something, I'd have threw that dinner in the
- 11:20Speaker 2: trash and said, yes, grab me something too. That sounds
- 11:27Speaker 2: kind of petty, doesn't it? Why do you women get
- 11:32Speaker 2: so offended if your husband does not want to eat
- 11:37Speaker 2: what you want to eat? Why does that offend you
- 11:40Speaker 2: so much? Why is that a problem? If you're making
- 11:43Speaker 2: dinner for something for you and you tell your husband, hey,
- 11:47Speaker 2: this is all I'm making.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And he goes, well, I don't want that.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Why does he have to eat that if that's what
- 11:55Speaker 2: you want? Why can't both of you have what you want?
- 11:59Speaker 2: Why do you get so offended? Why would you do
- 12:02Speaker 2: that to him? Like I said, man, we are not children.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It's just insane the way you act with each other.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Hey, Romeo.
- 12:18Speaker 2: He should have asked his wife at least if she
- 12:21Speaker 2: wanted something. Well, she just ate or she's making food
- 12:25Speaker 2: for herself.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 12:29Speaker 2: It's just petty and childish. And maybe that's why you've
- 12:32Speaker 2: got so many problems in your relationship.
- 12:34Speaker 1: This is kind of funny. A guy said he's in
- 12:36Speaker 1: the doghouse, right?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Apparently what happened was his wife was making dinner and
- 12:42Speaker 2: he did not want to eat.
- 12:43Speaker 1: What she was making.
- 12:45Speaker 2: So he said he didn't want that. She told him, well,
- 12:50Speaker 2: that's all I'm making. So you either eat that or nothing.
- 12:55Speaker 2: At that point, he went and got himself something to eat.
- 13:00Speaker 2: And now he's in the doghouse because she said, had
- 13:05Speaker 2: she known he was going to go get something to eat,
- 13:07Speaker 2: she wouldn't have cooked. Well, had you made something he wanted,
- 13:12Speaker 2: he wouldn't have gotten something to eat. And I'm not
- 13:14Speaker 2: saying she had to make something he wanted. That's not
- 13:17Speaker 2: at all what I'm saying.
- 13:19Speaker 1: If she wants to make something that she wants for dinner.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And he decides that's not what he wants for dinner. Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 2: he should go get something else to eat. But you
- 13:28Speaker 2: can't complain because you threw an ultimatum at him that
- 13:32Speaker 2: you either eat what I'm making or don't eat at all.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Because we're adults. We just, we can make our own food.
- 13:40Speaker 2: We can go get something to eat. She started the problem.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Not him. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7, but he's in trouble for it.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Sounds like some kids under 35 situation.
- 13:58Speaker 1: It sounds a little ridiculous, does it not? All right, 8-4-2, 5-4, 7-7. Rome,
- 14:02Speaker 1: a weekly food calendar is the resolution. You mean like
- 14:13Speaker 1: you've ever like when we were.
- 14:15Speaker 2: In elementary school and you got every month, you got
- 14:18Speaker 2: the lunch calendar. So you knew what you when you
- 14:20Speaker 2: was going to eat at school and when you was
- 14:22Speaker 2: going to bring your own lunch.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That one like that. I don't know.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I mean, dinner, for some reason, seems to be such
- 14:31Speaker 2: a contentious part of. of families, whether it be husbands
- 14:37Speaker 2: and wives or whether it.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Be husbands, wives, and kids.
- 14:40Speaker 2: It is amazing how many fights dinner causes.
- 14:46Speaker 1: What do you want to eat?
- 14:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:47Speaker 1: What do you want to eat? I don't know.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I want this. Well, I want that. Well, then now
- 14:51Speaker 2: we're fighting about it. Or I don't know what I
- 14:53Speaker 2: want to eat, so I'm going to go get this.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And then you don't want that. I mean, it's so stupid.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Everybody can have whatever they want. She had every she
- 15:04Speaker 2: was in every right to make whatever she wanted. But
- 15:08Speaker 2: once you tell him, no, I'm not making anything else.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And if you don't want this, I can't help you.
- 15:17Speaker 2: So you're going to get mad at him because he
- 15:19Speaker 2: did what an adult should do. He went and got
- 15:22Speaker 2: himself some to eat because he didn't want what she
- 15:25Speaker 2: was making.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Ridiculous.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I mean, how many times have you and your spouse
- 15:32Speaker 2: gotten a disagreement, argument, fight, whatever you want.
- 15:35Speaker 1: To call it, over dinner?
- 15:37Speaker 2: My boy got mad because his wife put mayonnaise on
- 15:41Speaker 2: a hot dog.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It was a three-day fight. Discussion, heavily discussion.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Ask everybody in your life who's right and who's wrong discussion.
- 15:53Speaker 1: I mean, is it that serious?
- 15:56Speaker 2: Rome, I've been separated from my ex for five years now,
- 15:58Speaker 2: and I still can't see them performing at school events
- 16:02Speaker 2: or birthdays.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'm still in the doghouse. Forget that chick.
- 16:07Speaker 6: Nice.
- 16:09Speaker 1: At Rome, dude's a jackass.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I bet his mommy cut the crust off his sandwiches
- 16:14Speaker 2: growing up.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Man, man up, sissy.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Hey, Rome. I'm a nudist, right?
- 16:21Speaker 2: But it's so cold and actually wearing clothes this morning. Okay.
- 16:27Speaker 1: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. Hey, Rome. Are you giving out tickets today, too?
- 16:33Speaker 1: Fuerza Régida. Yeah, I got tickets for that. We'll get
- 16:36Speaker 1: those out a little bit later. A little bit later on.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Hey, Rome.
- 16:40Speaker 2: What the hell was that voice for? I'm giving out tickets,
- 16:45Speaker 2: you know, too.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Fuerza Régida. And I want to make sure I say
- 16:49Speaker 1: the name right.
- 16:51Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 1: That's all.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Good morning, y'all.
- 16:53Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 16:55Speaker 8: Hi, good morning.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Hi, you're calling number 29. Congratulations. Are you serious?
- 16:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Stop playing with me.
- 17:01Speaker 1: What's your name?
- 17:02Speaker 5: Raiderette.
- 17:03Speaker 4: You remember me.
- 17:04Speaker 11: I used to call all the time.
- 17:05Speaker 5: Selena.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Wait, ever since the Raiders suck.
- 17:10Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Don't start. All right, so you got a pair of tickets,
- 17:14Speaker 2: six flags, Magic Mountain Fight Fest, okay?
- 17:17Speaker 1: Hold on a second.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 17:19Speaker 1: More Magic Mountain tickets, and, of course, I got those.
- 17:24Speaker 1: For you. The Dodgers lost again.
- 17:27Speaker 2: It's going to be a sad day in Bakersfield today.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And then they got, what, one more game tomorrow when
- 17:35Speaker 1: they lose tomorrow? No, today.
- 17:36Speaker 2: They play again today, right? So if they lose today,
- 17:39Speaker 2: it's over with. Have you guys heard the conspiracy going around?
- 17:45Speaker 2: There's this conspiracy that the Dodgers are losing on purpose.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Two people have sent me this conspiracy.
- 17:53Speaker 2: The reason they're losing on purpose is because the Major
- 17:55Speaker 2: League Baseball wants to have a salary cap, apparently. And
- 18:00Speaker 2: one of the reasons they think a salary cap is
- 18:02Speaker 2: needed is because it's harder for the smaller market teams
- 18:05Speaker 2: to win the championship because they don't have the same
- 18:08Speaker 2: amount of money to buy players like the major market teams,
- 18:10Speaker 2: like your Dodgers or your Yankees. So, The conspiracy is
- 18:17Speaker 2: that the Dodgers are losing on purpose so that a
- 18:22Speaker 2: smaller market team can win the major league championship can
- 18:28Speaker 2: win the championship this year. And that way there's the
- 18:32Speaker 2: justification for no salary cap. See the small market teams
- 18:36Speaker 2: can still win. They're still just as competitive. It looked,
- 18:39Speaker 2: they just won the world series. So that is the
- 18:42Speaker 2: conspiracy going around. Um, I always knew Dodger fans were dumbasses,
- 18:50Speaker 2: but I didn't know they were that dumbass. I didn't
- 18:53Speaker 2: know they were. I didn't know they were they.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Were like that.
- 19:00Speaker 2: But so, yeah, there you go. So the Dodgers are
- 19:02Speaker 2: losing on purpose. If it makes you feel better, you know,
- 19:05Speaker 2: unfortunately for Dodger fans, their life revolves around baseball and
- 19:09Speaker 2: their team. So they're going to be miserable for the
- 19:11Speaker 2: next day or two. Oh, well, at least, yeah, well,
- 19:14Speaker 2: two days now because they lost last night. They'll probably
- 19:16Speaker 2: lose today. At least it'll end quickly for you. You
- 19:20Speaker 2: can move on to whatever's next.
- 19:23Speaker 1: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Oh, the other thing I got yesterday. I don't think
- 19:28Speaker 2: it happened yesterday, but somebody sent me it yesterday about
- 19:32Speaker 2: Kirk Cousins and the Raiders. How Kirk Cousins has passed
- 19:36Speaker 2: John Elway. on some sort of all-times list, like all-time touchdowns,
- 19:42Speaker 2: career touchdowns, I think. That just proves the stupidity of stats.
- 19:50Speaker 2: That shows you how stupid statistics are. John Elway is
- 19:56Speaker 2: one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play football.
- 20:00Speaker 1: He won two Super Bowl titles.
- 20:03Speaker 2: John Elway and Kirk Cousins should never be in the
- 20:06Speaker 2: same sentence. Unless you say John Elway is the greatest
- 20:10Speaker 2: and Kirk Cousins is a fraud. They are nowhere even
- 20:15Speaker 2: close to the same caliber or quality of quarterback. But
- 20:20Speaker 2: you can use statistics to go, look, Kirk Cousins got
- 20:25Speaker 2: some more touchdowns than John Elway. I think that's what
- 20:28Speaker 2: it was. I can't remember what it was, what he
- 20:29Speaker 2: sent me. But that's how stupid statistics are. You and
- 20:34Speaker 2: I both know there, Kirk Cousins is nowhere close to
- 20:38Speaker 2: the quality of quarterback that John Elway was. But yet,
- 20:42Speaker 2: some moron, well, some dumbass Raider fan, can go, look,
- 20:46Speaker 2: my quarterback threw three touchdowns.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Now he's better than John Elway. No, he's not. Not
- 20:51Speaker 1: even close. Not even in the same category. Not even close.
- 20:56Speaker 2: That's why I say statistics are stupid. And for those
- 20:59Speaker 2: of you that live on statistics, you're just a bunch
- 21:01Speaker 2: of losers who never won anything. That's the only way
- 21:05Speaker 2: to justify. It's a consolation prize.
- 21:10Speaker 1: All right, 8-4, 2-5, 4-7. What else? Oh, who plays
- 21:14Speaker 1: football tonight? I was going to look at that. Who
- 21:16Speaker 1: plays tonight? Who plays tonight? Isn't there a game? Is
- 21:21Speaker 1: there not a game tonight for Thursday night football? Hold on.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Let me see.
- 21:29Speaker 1: There's got to be a Thursday night game. Today's Thursday, right? Yeah,
- 21:33Speaker 1: today's Thursday.
- 21:35Speaker 10: Oh, Seattle and Denver. Ooh, Seattle and Denver. Seattle's coming
- 21:42Speaker 10: off a loss. They got to go to Denver.
- 21:46Speaker 1: And that actually might be a decent game, to be
- 21:48Speaker 1: honest with you. Yeah, that might be a good game.
- 21:52Speaker 5: Yo, bro, I made a joke.
- 21:53Speaker 2: What up, Joe?
- 21:55Speaker 3: Hey, man, you know who started that conspiracy about the
- 21:59Speaker 3: Dodgers giving it up? A lot of these teams that
- 22:03Speaker 3: are small, and they're saying that we're throwing it on
- 22:07Speaker 3: purpose because we don't want the— You've got a limit,
- 22:15Speaker 3: you know?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Oh, the salary cap, yeah. They don't want salary cap.
- 22:18Speaker 3: And then there's going to be a lockout next year,
- 22:22Speaker 3: and that's why the Dodgers are doing it and all this.
- 22:25Speaker 5: They were doing it because we're tired. We won two
- 22:27Speaker 5: championships in a row. Everybody's trying their best to knock
- 22:31Speaker 5: off the champs. You know what I mean? Yeah. They're tired.
- 22:35Speaker 5: You can tell. They're exhausted.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And they're the.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Oldest team, too, on top of that. You know, so
- 22:40Speaker 5: people are just, we're going to get swept, I think, tonight.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I mean, you can just see, the ones that are
- 22:46Speaker 3: really up, they've got them on the bench. You know,
- 22:50Speaker 3: so I don't know.
- 22:51Speaker 5: What's going on. And then Cousins sucks, babe.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I heard it was half full last night.
- 22:56Speaker 7: No, it was all the way full.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Yeah, no, it was packed.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, no, and actually people stood until after the seventh.
- 23:03Speaker 5: I was shocked.
- 23:05Speaker 7: All right.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Yeah, Cousins sucks.
- 23:08Speaker 6: Cousins sucks.
- 23:09Speaker 1: All right, Joe. Later, man.
- 23:14Speaker 9: 34254727.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Now, Rome, that theory is ridiculous.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Dodgers just suck, and the Brewers are just that damn good.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Hey, Big Rome, I'm a.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Big-ass Dodger fan. I had to call off work today.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I don't feel so good.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Of course you don't.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Like I said, man, Dodger fans take it personal when
- 23:34Speaker 2: they lose, man. Like the Dodgers did it to personally
- 23:37Speaker 2: hurt your feelings. Hey, Romeo, play a Fuerza Régida song
- 23:43Speaker 2: for Caller 29. Oh, I can't do that. We'll give
- 23:45Speaker 2: those tickets out, though, in a little bit.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Hey, Romeo, are you giving out Fuerza Régida tickets?
- 23:49Speaker 1: Am I what?
- 23:51Speaker 5: Giving out Fuerza Régida tickets.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to give out some of those tickets, yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 5: Okay, real quick, bro. Dodgers are going to lose.
- 23:58Speaker 7: Because we're playing subpar baseball and the Brewers are the
- 24:01Speaker 7: superior team.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Okay, not the conspiracy?
- 24:05Speaker 5: No, the conspiracy is BS.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Because I'm going to tell you this much.
- 24:08Speaker 5: Shohei Ohtani has been playing hurt.
- 24:11Speaker 3: They don't know he's playing hurt, but they're only keeping
- 24:13Speaker 3: him in the lineup because he sells tickets and investors.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Anybody who thinks otherwise is delusional.
- 24:20Speaker 1: All right, man. Thanks for calling.
- 24:22Speaker 5: And this is Seahawk Lose Homie. Have a blessed day.
- 24:24Speaker 1: All right, man. Seahawk Lose Homie, huh? All right.
- 24:31Speaker 3: 842-547-7Rome.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Hey, that conspiracy makes no sense. The Mets have almost
- 24:35Speaker 2: the same salary expense, and they were one of the
- 24:38Speaker 2: worst teams in the league.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Can't win them all.
- 24:41Speaker 2: That's why this is a professional's league. The Dodgers are
- 24:46Speaker 2: losing to teams that's playing better simple as that. Dodgers
- 24:50Speaker 2: won three of the last six. Enjoy that one. Enjoy
- 24:53Speaker 2: that and quit being a delusional fan.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Exactly. Hey, good morning, Romeo.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Dodgers will lose because Milwaukee is the better team. From
- 25:02Speaker 2: pitching to coaching, to their bats, we are outmatched. Anybody
- 25:11Speaker 2: thinking that conspiracy is true is a delusional Dodger. In fact,
- 25:14Speaker 2: you have to be realistic. They outplayed us. If we
- 25:17Speaker 2: do come back, the last team to do it was
- 25:20Speaker 2: the 2024 Boston Red Sox, which Dave Roberts was part
- 25:25Speaker 2: of as a player.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Ah, the Dodgers will probably lose tonight.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Just get it over with. Why win one just to
- 25:32Speaker 2: go lose, you know? Hey, Rome, did you watch the
- 25:35Speaker 2: Dodger game? At one point in the game, they showed
- 25:38Speaker 2: the sad faces of the fans like when they show
- 25:41Speaker 2: the Cowboy fans when they're losing at home, crying. When
- 25:46Speaker 2: I think of Dodger fans, when the Dodger fans lose,
- 25:51Speaker 2: What I think about is, remember that Sally Fields commercial
- 25:54Speaker 2: with the dogs? Where that long, they play the sad
- 25:57Speaker 2: music and all the dogs got the droopy, you know.
- 26:01Speaker 1: The dogs, you guys know what I'm talking about, right?
- 26:03Speaker 1: I don't know what, I don't know who it's for.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Maybe the SPCA or whatever.
- 26:07Speaker 2: But that's what I think about when I see the
- 26:10Speaker 2: Dodger fans.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Because that's how they act. Just like that.
- 26:13Speaker 10: Hey, what's up, Rome?
- 26:14Speaker 12: This is Seahawks Lou.
- 26:16Speaker 9: What up, Lou? Rome, I.
- 26:19Speaker 2: It's hard.
- 26:20Speaker 6: It's hard, man, to see my Dodgers lose like that.
- 26:25Speaker 6: The guy I just called, man, you ever have one
- 26:27Speaker 6: of those smart friends that are just blunt with you?
- 26:30Speaker 1: Yeah, they're usually jackasses, but okay.
- 26:35Speaker 6: Hey, that guy's smart, man. He's like, this is going
- 26:40Speaker 6: to happen, watch. And it happens, man, and it's sad
- 26:44Speaker 6: to say, but he's right.
- 26:45Speaker 5: Yeah. It's a sad situation, man.
- 26:49Speaker 6: I hate it when my homie tells me, we're going
- 26:53Speaker 6: to lose, and we lose.
- 26:55Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 26:58Speaker 5: What can I do to change it, Rome?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 27:04Speaker 5: My Dodgers. Not tonight, my Seahawks, maybe.
- 27:07Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 27:09Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Lou, just stay away from bridges and buildings, okay?
- 27:15Speaker 6: You know what?
- 27:16Speaker 5: You know what I need, bro?
- 27:17Speaker 1: I need those Fuerza Regida tickets so bad. Don't make
- 27:21Speaker 1: me hang up on you. Get out of here. Don't worry.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I got those tickets for you. I'll take care of those.
- 27:29Speaker 1: We'll give them away.
- 27:30Speaker 13: Fuerza Regida.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Tickets a little bit later on this morning, so just
- 27:34Speaker 1: hold on. All right. What else we got?
- 27:36Speaker 2: Hey, bro.
- 27:37Speaker 1: There's no conspiracy. The Brewers are just a better team.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Remember, they beat the Dodgers 24-9 earlier this season. Some
- 27:44Speaker 2: years it doesn't matter how much money you spend.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Fair enough. Yeah, I don't believe the conspiracy. I just
- 27:50Speaker 1: think it's stupid.
- 27:51Speaker 2: I think it's stupid that people come up with these things,
- 27:53Speaker 2: with these ideas to make themselves feel better about why
- 27:55Speaker 2: their team's losing. Hey, Rome, a really reliable MLB source
- 28:02Speaker 2: is saying the Brewers are cheating, stealing signs.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Look it up. Okay, so now the Brewers are cheating.
- 28:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 28:10Speaker 2: And to be honest with you, I don't look up anything.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I just listen to what you guys tell me. And
- 28:17Speaker 2: if it has any weight to it, then.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'll look it up.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Until then, I don't care if the Brewers are cheating.
- 28:22Speaker 2: I don't care if there's this conspiracy in baseball. Hey,
- 28:26Speaker 2: you have a cheese fan. I went to Raider Dave's
- 28:29Speaker 2: work today, and I don't know if he's missing because
- 28:32Speaker 2: his Raiders are doing bad or the Doyers.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Send an Amber Alert for him, please. Thanks. Hey, Rome,
- 28:41Speaker 1: I want to hear you pronounce the name. Okay, there
- 28:45Speaker 1: you go.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, I can't stand these people that get all
- 28:51Speaker 2: butthurt because the team loses. They act like they're employed
- 28:55Speaker 2: by the team. At the end of the day, the
- 28:57Speaker 2: doctors go home, millionaires.
- 29:01Speaker 1: At the end of the day, doctors go home, millionaires.
- 29:05Speaker 1: We go home poor. Poor Dodgers. Yeah. Oh, Dodgers. At
- 29:09Speaker 1: the end of the day, Dodgers go home millionaires. We
- 29:12Speaker 1: go home poor. Oh, I get it there. Yeah, I mean, anybody, if.
- 29:18Speaker 2: You really want to be honest about it, anybody who
- 29:21Speaker 2: lets a team control their mood and controls the way
- 29:27Speaker 2: that they affect their mood in such a manner that
- 29:31Speaker 2: they treat people around them poorly, it's okay if you–
- 29:35Speaker 2: I mean– You can't do much If it affects your mood,
- 29:38Speaker 2: it affects your mood, right? There's not much you can
- 29:41Speaker 2: do about it, right? But you have nothing to do
- 29:44Speaker 2: with that team. You really have, you have, you have
- 29:48Speaker 2: an emotional investment, maybe a little bit of a financial
- 29:51Speaker 2: investment because you bought a jersey or you bought a
- 29:53Speaker 2: hat or you bought.
- 29:54Speaker 1: But, or tickets, but really it's entertainment.
- 29:58Speaker 2: And if you're going to let that affect you to
- 30:01Speaker 2: the extent that you're going to just, you know, be
- 30:05Speaker 2: a sour dude all day and just let it ruin
- 30:11Speaker 2: your life, even if it's for the day, that's just sad.
- 30:14Speaker 2: That's pretty pathetic, to be honest with you. Because, you know,
- 30:20Speaker 2: there's a lot of things out there that could affect
- 30:22Speaker 2: your mood, but you can't take it out on other people.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And that's what most of these fans do.
- 30:28Speaker 2: They take it out on other people because they're miserable
- 30:30Speaker 2: because their team lost. So everybody else should be miserable
- 30:33Speaker 2: as well. Well, we're not as insecure as you are.
- 30:40Speaker 2: So why do you take it out on us? It's
- 30:45Speaker 2: a sad life. It is.
- 30:47Speaker 7: I just want to hit on that conspiracy and people
- 30:49Speaker 7: think that you're cheating. You know, I relate everything to
- 30:52Speaker 7: football because I played through college, high-level coach college.
- 30:55Speaker 5: So if I'm a.
- 30:57Speaker 7: Defense, every time we come up to the line, we
- 30:59Speaker 7: hear the quarterback yell and say, we're at 91, and
- 31:03Speaker 7: they run a sweep to their right. Would we be
- 31:05Speaker 7: stupid not to call a play to our left to
- 31:07Speaker 7: stop the sweep? You know what I mean? Or in baseball,
- 31:14Speaker 7: if we go up there and we see– Man, every
- 31:16Speaker 7: time the pitching coach touches left arm, he's telling the
- 31:20Speaker 7: batter to swing because he's stealing or sending the player
- 31:24Speaker 7: from first base. We're going to throw it to second.
- 31:26Speaker 5: Come on, man.
- 31:26Speaker 7: There ain't no conspiracy.
- 31:27Speaker 5: It's a smart game.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I know. They're not. It's just dummy.
- 31:31Speaker 2: You know, with the Internet nowadays, everybody wants to get clicks.
- 31:35Speaker 2: So they'll say whatever they want without accountability and come
- 31:37Speaker 2: up with the most idiotic justifications to.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Make them wonder about whatever that is, you know? Exactly.
- 31:46Speaker 2: The stupidest thing people can do is be so wound
- 31:49Speaker 2: up in sports because we know there's too much money involved.
- 31:52Speaker 1: You know there's too many variables. And to let it.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Control you in a way that you come up with
- 31:57Speaker 2: some of the stupidest ways to justify your life is ridiculous.
- 32:01Speaker 7: And like you said, too, I'm going to let that
- 32:03Speaker 7: ruin my whole day because the Raiders lost.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I mean, serious.
- 32:06Speaker 2: You don't know what you're going to miss out on
- 32:09Speaker 2: because you're mad about some guys that don't give a
- 32:11Speaker 2: damn about you.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I guarantee the Raiders could care less about you, James.
- 32:14Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 32:15Speaker 7: They out there, they going to dinner with Pat Mahomes.
- 32:19Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 32:19Speaker 2: They over here going to get a steak.
- 32:21Speaker 1: They don't care about Raider James. They ruined Raider.
- 32:25Speaker 2: James' whole day while they out at the Wynn having dinner.
- 32:29Speaker 7: And I'm scared of what our win-loss is going to
- 32:33Speaker 7: look like after the next five games. We got the
- 32:35Speaker 7: Bills coming up. We got the Eagles. Man, it's bad.
- 32:38Speaker 1: You guys will beat the Jets. Don't worry.
- 32:40Speaker 7: All right.
- 32:41Speaker 5: All right.
- 32:42Speaker 7: Well, you have a blessing, man.
- 32:43Speaker 5: Nice talking to you.
- 32:49Speaker 1: All right, James. All right.
- 32:51Speaker 7: Take care, bro.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Well, that's what makes it so stupid. These people don't
- 32:55Speaker 2: care about you. You think the Dodgers actually care about you?
- 32:59Speaker 1: They don't. They don't care. They don't even know your name.
- 33:03Speaker 1: They could give a damn.
- 33:05Speaker 2: So why are you going to let them ruin your
- 33:06Speaker 2: day and then affect your whole family's day or your
- 33:10Speaker 2: friend's day because you're in a bad mood because you
- 33:12Speaker 2: ain't emotionally stable?
- 33:13Speaker 1: Hey, Romeo, the relievers for the Brewers are lights out.
- 33:17Speaker 2: The Dodgers, unfortunately, have no one.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Ace as no ace as the reliever. It's a wrap.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but usually, now look, I am not the biggest
- 33:29Speaker 2: baseball fan, okay?
- 33:31Speaker 1: I'm just going to tell you.
- 33:32Speaker 2: What I see as I casually watch the game of baseball.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Seems like the Dodgers got bats, though. It seems like
- 33:39Speaker 2: every time I watch a Dodger game in the last
- 33:42Speaker 2: few years, that they'll be down. 2-0, but about the
- 33:49Speaker 2: fifth inning, sixth inning, they start lightening up, and then
- 33:51Speaker 2: they end up winning by a couple of runs. It
- 33:54Speaker 2: seems like the Dodgers have bats that always come to life.
- 33:57Speaker 1: And maybe that's not happening right now.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Maybe Shohei is hurt, and they just can't pull him
- 34:04Speaker 2: out of the lineup because it's cheaper to keep him
- 34:07Speaker 2: in and lose than it is to take him out.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I just don't know. Hey, Rome, it's time to bring
- 34:13Speaker 1: out the brooms. The Dodgers are getting swept tonight.
- 34:17Speaker 2: It's going to be a Brewers-Rays World Series.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Well, who won last night? The Tampa Bay? The Rays
- 34:23Speaker 1: won last night? Who's even following the other series, you know?
- 34:27Speaker 1: Good morning, y'all. What's going on?
- 34:29Speaker 5: Hello, Romeo.
- 34:32Speaker 7: Yes.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Mi Beto.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Oh, hey, Beto. What's going on?
- 34:37Speaker 5: What team you think I'm playing? in the NFL. I'm
- 34:41Speaker 5: tired of switching. I'm tired of buying jerseys from the
- 34:47Speaker 5: yard sale. I need a real... What team? What happened?
- 34:54Speaker 1: Oh, we lost his phone. Good morning, Tom. What's going on?
- 34:57Speaker 5: Hey, what's up, brother? I just heard a call right
- 34:59Speaker 5: now and.
- 35:00Speaker 7: I don't know what it was for.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Oh, you must be listening to a different radio station.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I wasn't telling nobody to call for anything.
- 35:06Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 35:07Speaker 7: It was you.
- 35:07Speaker 5: But it's all good, brother.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Have a good day.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Oh, all right, man.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I don't know what I said to call for. I
- 35:12Speaker 1: just said to call it.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I don't know. You can call whenever you want. What's
- 35:16Speaker 1: going on?
- 35:18Speaker 11: Hello, Romeo.
- 35:18Speaker 5: I lost you. I know.
- 35:19Speaker 1: What happened to your phone?
- 35:21Speaker 7: I have a mama phone.
- 35:24Speaker 3: I would go.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 35:27Speaker 5: Right now, I have a Steve DeBerg with a cheese.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I would go Jaguars. They're the up and... No, not Jaguars.
- 35:38Speaker 5: No, I'm going to stay with the Chiefs. Okay. I
- 35:42Speaker 5: was looking through my hamper, and I found the wrong cherry, too.
- 35:49Speaker 5: You answer my question. I just needed to search my hamper.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 35:53Speaker 1: All right.
- 35:57Speaker 2: You know, the only quarterback I have, I was looking
- 35:59Speaker 2: through my jerseys the other day, and I own.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I own one.
- 36:04Speaker 2: How many jerseys do I think I own? Five chief jerseys.
- 36:08Speaker 2: My boy, Rudy, got me two of them that are
- 36:14Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes jerseys. But that was before. But before Rudy
- 36:17Speaker 2: gave me those jerseys, my quarterback jersey for the Chiefs
- 36:22Speaker 2: was Castle Castle.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it was Castle.
- 36:27Speaker 2: And I think I own a I don't know. Chili
- 36:30Speaker 2: Gilly gave me a jersey. Can't remember which one that is.
- 36:34Speaker 2: And I don't know what the other one is. I
- 36:36Speaker 2: can't think right now.
- 36:36Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 36:39Speaker 2: But that was my quarterback jersey for the Chiefs' castle.
- 36:44Speaker 1: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7-8. Good morning, Rome.
- 36:46Speaker 13: Hey, are you giving out Fuerza Régida tickets?
- 36:49Speaker 2: I'd love to take my wife out to that concert.
- 36:52Speaker 2: After all, this is a stressful month.
- 36:57Speaker 13: Yeah, I'll be giving out tickets.
- 37:00Speaker 1: In a little while.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Yo, Rum, you're going to see less Dodger fans next year.
- 37:05Speaker 2: All the bandwagon fans are going to switch teams since
- 37:07Speaker 2: they're losing this year. Do the Dodgers have a lot
- 37:10Speaker 2: of bandwagon fans?
- 37:12Speaker 1: As much as as many as the Niners?
- 37:14Speaker 2: Is it really like half the fan base, if not more,
- 37:17Speaker 2: is bandwagon here in Bakersfield?
- 37:20Speaker 1: There's too many people involved to rig sports in this manner.
- 37:22Speaker 6: Okay?
- 37:49Speaker 2: Football and baseball are a little bit harder to rig
- 37:53Speaker 2: from a– the only people that can rig the game
- 37:56Speaker 2: is if the referees are told to do something that
- 38:00Speaker 2: benefits one team.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Over the other in any sport.
- 38:04Speaker 2: It's a little– it's easier to do in– it's easiest
- 38:06Speaker 2: to do in basketball because referees, you know, the fouls
- 38:10Speaker 2: in basketball are just so weird.
- 38:12Speaker 1: It could be anything.
- 38:15Speaker 2: It's a little harder to do in baseball and football. So,
- 38:18Speaker 2: I mean, you could– It would be too obvious if
- 38:23Speaker 2: it was football and baseball for them to actually rig
- 38:27Speaker 2: the games, okay? And football makes so much damn money,
- 38:30Speaker 2: they don't have to rig anything. I'm guessing baseball does
- 38:33Speaker 2: as well. The NBA is the one that makes the
- 38:37Speaker 2: least amount of money, I believe. So, yeah, I don't
- 38:40Speaker 2: think that's real either.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Hey, what's up, Rome?
- 38:43Speaker 2: Seahawks, Lou.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Lou, what is up, my man?
- 38:47Speaker 6: Very important question for you, sir.
- 38:50Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 6: I have my Seahawks playing the Broncos and my Dodgers
- 38:56Speaker 6: playing tonight.
- 38:58Speaker 5: What game do you think I should concentrate on?
- 39:00Speaker 6: And, you know, it'll just be devastating to see my
- 39:05Speaker 6: two teams lose.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Well, first of all, Lou, What kind of broke-ass fool
- 39:11Speaker 2: are you that you don't have picture in picture?
- 39:14Speaker 5: Well, yeah, but I mean, I don't really like it.
- 39:18Speaker 6: Because you're trying to concentrate on one thing and then
- 39:21Speaker 6: you just, the other thing and like, oh, what's going
- 39:24Speaker 6: on here?
- 39:25Speaker 2: Well, I know you're a simple-minded idiot from Moscow, but
- 39:28Speaker 2: you can't follow two games at the same time.
- 39:30Speaker 5: No, no.
- 39:32Speaker 6: We got to sink our concentration to one, man.
- 39:36Speaker 2: First of all, concentration on a baseball game versus a
- 39:41Speaker 2: football game are two totally different things. One is so
- 39:45Speaker 2: much slower paced and you can't follow a ball game
- 39:49Speaker 2: and a football game at the same time. One's like
- 39:52Speaker 2: watching paint dry. The other is like watching your kids
- 39:55Speaker 2: in traffic. What are you telling me?
- 39:57Speaker 1: You can't do both.
- 39:59Speaker 6: I shouldn't be doing both. I shouldn't.
- 40:03Speaker 5: I should only be doing one at a time. I
- 40:07Speaker 5: hear you. I hear you. You said watch the football game.
- 40:11Speaker 6: It's going to be a lot less heartbreaking if we
- 40:15Speaker 6: lose that one than if I watch them lose.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Why do you think the Seahawks are going to lose tonight?
- 40:21Speaker 1: Have you lost faith?
- 40:23Speaker 2: No, it's just like, you know, all of my bad
- 40:26Speaker 2: luck is like, Ever since Sunday, you know, it's just
- 40:29Speaker 2: been bad, Rome.
- 40:31Speaker 5: I didn't win tickets.
- 40:34Speaker 6: My Hawks lost.
- 40:35Speaker 5: You know, Dodgers kept losing that following.
- 40:38Speaker 6: Like, come on, man. Okay. It's been a tough.
- 40:41Speaker 5: Week for me.
- 40:42Speaker 9: All right.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Well, how about you don't watch? I'll tell you what.
- 40:45Speaker 2: This is what you do, Lou. You don't watch either
- 40:47Speaker 2: one of them. Go spend time with your family.
- 40:50Speaker 5: What?
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, go do that. That's what you should really do.
- 40:52Speaker 6: You know what? I think I'll do that.
- 40:58Speaker 13: At the Fuerza Régida concert on Saturday.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Fuerza Régida. All right.
- 41:04Speaker 5: 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7.
- 41:05Speaker 1: What did you send me here?
- 41:09Speaker 2: The Brewers just came to win, Rome, and they're not
- 41:11Speaker 2: swinging on any pitches just like when the Dodgers did
- 41:14Speaker 2: when they were in the World Series. The Brewers are
- 41:16Speaker 2: a very, very young, talented team. Okay.
- 41:20Speaker 13: Hey, Rome, you still got those Fuerza Régida tickets?
- 41:24Speaker 1: I'd love to take out my lady for our anniversary.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Help me out, Rome.
- 41:28Speaker 10: Nah.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Can't do that.
- 41:31Speaker 5: Hey, what's up, Rome?
- 41:32Speaker 1: Hey, Rome, what up, man?
- 41:33Speaker 5: Bro, come on. You know he got that antenna skill, bro.
- 41:37Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 41:38Speaker 5: He has to have the kid out there holding on
- 41:40Speaker 5: to it, and then the kid walks away, and then
- 41:41Speaker 5: it gets all fuzzy on him. He can't watch two
- 41:44Speaker 5: things at once.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Maybe he does.
- 41:48Speaker 5: But he could probably try to go old school. You
- 41:50Speaker 5: know what I mean? He got all them kids, put
- 41:51Speaker 5: one kid on the antenna on the radio so he
- 41:53Speaker 5: could listen to the baseball game and the other kid
- 41:56Speaker 5: on the antenna for the football game.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I love you to death, but your joke is just old.
- 42:03Speaker 1: That's dated.
- 42:06Speaker 2: I love you to death, brother, but my God, you've
- 42:08Speaker 2: got to come up with a better joke than that one.
- 42:10Speaker 5: Quit it, Rome. Don't tell me you joined the hater crew.
- 42:14Speaker 2: You've got to come up with a better joke than that.
- 42:19Speaker 5: I know you joined the hater crew, but please don't
- 42:21Speaker 5: join the sucker.
- 42:22Speaker 7: Crew, okay?
- 42:22Speaker 5: I don't want to have to say, man, Rome's a sucker.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Come on, Rome.
- 42:26Speaker 5: I'm going to call you a hater for the week today.
- 42:31Speaker 5: Don't go next weekend, man. No, that was just bad.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Just come up with a better joke, Ruben. It's all right.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 42:36Speaker 5: There we go.
- 42:37Speaker 7: Hating.
- 42:37Speaker 1: They don't all work. They don't all work, Ruben. Okay.
- 42:42Speaker 6: It's okay.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Hey, Roman.
- 42:44Speaker 5: It's okay to join the haters for you. It's all right.
- 42:46Speaker 5: We'll let you do it this week.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Oh, get out of here. Oh, my God.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Rome, who do you think in town will have the
- 42:53Speaker 2: Dodger game and the Bronco game on tonight?
- 42:58Speaker 1: Every place. Every place will have it on. You want food?
- 43:01Speaker 1: You want just drinks? I mean, it depends on what.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Every place will have it on.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Just Wing it will have it on. Dave and Buster's.
- 43:14Speaker 2: The social house will have it on, although just their
- 43:17Speaker 2: bar is open right now because they're remodeling their kitchen.
- 43:19Speaker 1: But they'll have it on. Yeah, I mean, any place.
- 43:23Speaker 1: It just depends on what you're looking for.
- 43:25Speaker 12: Hey, Rome.
- 43:26Speaker 10: Hey, Rome.
- 43:27Speaker 1: I've got a random food question for you.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Since you're up early, do you ever stop by and
- 43:33Speaker 2: pick up a burrito or tamale from the people that
- 43:35Speaker 2: sell them on the street? If you do, do you
- 43:39Speaker 2: have a spot? What do you mean sell them on
- 43:41Speaker 2: the street? Like from a person who just sets up
- 43:43Speaker 2: their booth? Sets up a table and a cooker on
- 43:47Speaker 2: the sidewalk? Or are you talking about a food truck?
- 43:51Speaker 2: Because I don't... And what do you consider early? Would
- 43:54Speaker 2: be my other question. Because... There are a couple of
- 43:58Speaker 2: food trucks that I will eat out of. I will
- 44:01Speaker 2: not eat out of somewhere that just puts up a
- 44:03Speaker 2: pop-up tent and starts cooking on a, like they would,
- 44:07Speaker 2: you know, like they're cooking on a, you know, like
- 44:10Speaker 2: they're cooking in the park or something like that.
- 44:12Speaker 1: No, I won't, or whatever. You know what I'm talking about.
- 44:16Speaker 2: No, I don't ever do that, but I'll order out
- 44:18Speaker 2: of a taco truck. So it just depends on what
- 44:20Speaker 2: you're talking about and what's early to you. Morning, how,
- 44:23Speaker 2: what's going on?
- 44:24Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 44:24Speaker 11: Do you still have the Fuerza Rígida tickets?
- 44:27Speaker 13: I do still have the Fuerza Rígida tickets, but.
- 44:30Speaker 1: I haven't given them out yet.
- 44:33Speaker 4: What do we have to do to get them?
- 44:34Speaker 1: You have to listen to me to tell you when
- 44:36Speaker 1: to call in.
- 44:39Speaker 9: All right.
- 44:39Speaker 4: All right. Thanks.
- 44:41Speaker 13: I mean, I would love to give you the tickets
- 44:44Speaker 13: to Fuerza Rígida, but I got I got other things
- 44:49Speaker 13: to do, too.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Not just give out tickets.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Hey, Big Room, tell that cowboy sash-wearing sucka to go
- 44:56Speaker 2: plant some seed on somebody's grass because nobody cares about
- 44:59Speaker 2: his story. I don't know what's more entertaining, your Raiders
- 45:02Speaker 2: songs or your dumbass callers like Ruben and Seahawk Lou
- 45:07Speaker 2: that keeps everyone listening. Rome, Siaglu has a better chance
- 45:13Speaker 2: of not burning the sun than both of his teams
- 45:15Speaker 2: winning tonight.
- 45:17Speaker 1: I think he believes both.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Of his teams are going to lose tonight, actually. Rome,
- 45:23Speaker 2: give the fuerza regida. Take my daughter. We have our
- 45:27Speaker 2: shirts ready. Oh, and then he sent me a photo. Five, four, seven, seven.
- 45:33Speaker 1: What do we got here?
- 45:35Speaker 2: Where are we at? Yo, Rome, you broke Ruben's little heart.
- 45:38Speaker 2: He's so bad, wants to be on the show. Rename
- 45:42Speaker 2: it Romeo and Ruben in the morning.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Poor guy is a narcissist. Three, two, one, he's calling
- 45:47Speaker 1: you now.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Well, Ruben's got to accept, all of you guys got
- 45:54Speaker 2: to accept the fact that sometimes your jokes aren't funny, okay? Now,
- 45:58Speaker 2: sometimes your jokes are funny. Sometimes they're not. Somebody's got
- 46:03Speaker 2: to tell you you're not always funny. Rome, I think
- 46:06Speaker 2: that dude was referring to buying food from people, like,
- 46:09Speaker 2: outside of Walmart.
- 46:10Speaker 1: That's selling tamales. Oh, yeah, no, I don't buy food
- 46:14Speaker 1: like that.
- 46:14Speaker 2: The guy texted and asked if I, since I'm up
- 46:16Speaker 2: early to the streets, I don't know if I would
- 46:20Speaker 2: be able to help you.
- 46:20Speaker 9: 34254-7702.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Fuerza Régida. Call right now, 847-7. What's going on? Hey,
- 46:26Speaker 1: what's up, Rome? What color am I? Hey, you're calling
- 46:29Speaker 1: number 29. Congratulations.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 46:36Speaker 7: Yes, sir.
- 46:37Speaker 1: What's your name, man?
- 46:38Speaker 2: George.
- 46:38Speaker 13: All right, George, he's got tickets.
- 46:43Speaker 2: I don't know when the show is, the 25th, 26th?
- 46:44Speaker 2: I don't know, something like that, but you got your tickets, okay?
- 46:48Speaker 5: All right, thank you, Rome.
- 46:50Speaker 1: All right, so I got more tickets on the way.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Don't worry about it. Already 4, 2, 5, 4, 7, 7. Rome,
- 46:57Speaker 1: who's Ruben? And what's the T? Oh, I don't know.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Ruben told a bad joke. Hey, Rome, I have something
- 47:05Speaker 1: to ask.
- 47:06Speaker 2: My old lady cousin has a wedding this Saturday in L.A.,
- 47:10Speaker 2: so I was told if I go, I can have
- 47:13Speaker 2: a free weekend.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Does that sound like a setup or what? Yeah, that
- 47:20Speaker 1: sounds like a setup.
- 47:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Let me get to your text messages right now here.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Let's see here.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Rome, have you let Raider Dave back in since you
- 47:29Speaker 2: hung up on his ass?
- 47:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Raider Dave was never banned from the show.
- 47:33Speaker 2: He just.
- 47:34Speaker 1: He needs to step up. If you're going to talk,
- 47:36Speaker 1: if you're.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Going to run your mouth and be accountable and be
- 47:38Speaker 2: part of the show, then be accountable. You can't just,
- 47:40Speaker 2: you know, pick and choose when you're going to decide.
- 47:43Speaker 2: But no, he's never banned from the show. Rome, what
- 47:46Speaker 2: was the joke, Romeo? You're not spilling the tea. Oh,
- 47:49Speaker 2: what Ruben said? Oh, Ruben's dumb joke? Yeah, he was
- 47:53Speaker 2: talking about Seahawk Lou. Seahawk Lou didn't know which game
- 47:56Speaker 2: to watch, the Seahawk game or the Dodger game tonight.
- 47:59Speaker 2: And I said, well, you got picture in picture. Uh,
- 48:02Speaker 2: Ruben's joke was, uh, well, you know, Seahawk Lou ain't
- 48:05Speaker 2: got a TV with picture in picture. He still got
- 48:07Speaker 2: the antenna that his kids got to hold, you know?
- 48:09Speaker 2: I mean, that joke is about 50 years old. When's
- 48:12Speaker 2: the last time they had a, When's the last time
- 48:16Speaker 2: they had a TV like that?
- 48:17Speaker 1: So, yeah. All right. What else you got? Hey, Rome.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Ruben reminds me of that one uncle that tries to
- 48:24Speaker 2: be so cool with all the up-to-date slang words and
- 48:28Speaker 2: what's in style and all the nieces and nephews just
- 48:31Speaker 2: keep making fun of him because he's trying hard to
- 48:34Speaker 2: make himself sound and look dumb.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Poor Feta Fries Ruben. Oh, my God. Well, you know
- 48:43Speaker 1: where I see that a lot? Is that high school?
- 48:47Speaker 1: I see a lot of parents act like that at
- 48:48Speaker 1: high school. They try to be cool with the kids
- 48:51Speaker 1: and act like they're all, you know, still in high school. Yeah,
- 48:54Speaker 1: you should go check out a high school football game.
- 48:57Speaker 1: You'll see that.
- 48:58Speaker 5: Hey, what's up, Ruben?
- 48:59Speaker 1: What up, Ruben?
- 49:00Speaker 5: Hey, you know on that question they had about the
- 49:02Speaker 5: buying food and stuff on the side of the road
- 49:04Speaker 5: or something like that?
- 49:05Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 49:06Speaker 5: I think they're talking about these ladies that pull up
- 49:09Speaker 5: over there by a 7 standard and a 58 going
- 49:12Speaker 5: towards a 5. There's some ladies that pull up in
- 49:14Speaker 5: the morning early. out there like at four in the
- 49:15Speaker 5: morning okay and they're serving like champorado tamales and stuff
- 49:19Speaker 5: like that oh but but i never stopped and bought
- 49:22Speaker 5: from them but you know i met a guy at
- 49:24Speaker 5: walmart rome like 13 years ago you know tamales i
- 49:27Speaker 5: bring during the holidays yeah dude for 13 years i've
- 49:30Speaker 5: been buying from this guy and you know what he
- 49:32Speaker 5: makes them better than my grandma dude Okay. You see
- 49:36Speaker 5: the ones that bring you the big, they're fat, full
- 49:37Speaker 5: of meat, juicy, everything, you know?
- 49:40Speaker 1: I know what you're talking about, but okay, yeah.
- 49:43Speaker 5: But yeah, so, but hey, on those other people texting
- 49:45Speaker 5: you wrong, like I said, wrong, they never take accountability.
- 49:48Speaker 5: They always want to talk to their papa, but they
- 49:50Speaker 5: never could call or put their name on it or
- 49:52Speaker 5: their voice on it or anything. And that exactly is
- 49:55Speaker 5: what I call a sucker type. You know what I mean?
- 49:58Speaker 8: All right, Ruben.
- 49:59Speaker 1: All right.
- 49:59Speaker 5: But, you know, hey, hey, you got a lot of
- 50:01Speaker 5: them fools listening, right? Like the one that even texted
- 50:03Speaker 5: you earlier and said, oh, nobody wants to hear a
- 50:05Speaker 5: little bit of this and that, but we're still listening. Yeah,
- 50:08Speaker 5: they can't just change the tone. They got to hear
- 50:10Speaker 5: what you're doing.
- 50:11Speaker 1: All right, Ruben. Later.
- 50:12Speaker 7: Later, bro.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. This is too much. All right, 8-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 50:18Speaker 1: I got to tell.
- 50:22Speaker 2: You something funny about my neighbor's.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Hey, come on, Rome. Leave Cowboy Reuben alone. He's special.
- 50:28Speaker 2: You know all those pesticides he uses are getting to him.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Raider Roth. Cowboy Reuben. Look, man.
- 50:37Speaker 2: He told a bad joke. That's all it was, okay?
- 50:40Speaker 2: Everybody calm down. Reuben's a big boy. But my God, Reuben,
- 50:45Speaker 2: you know, you can't tell.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Not all your jokes are good.
- 50:49Speaker 3: You know, hey, Rome.
- 50:51Speaker 2: It's Headbutt Raider, top of the morning to you and
- 50:53Speaker 2: your listeners.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Headbutt Raider. Where are we at here? Okay. Hey, we
- 50:59Speaker 1: love Ruben. Oh, that must be Ruben's daughters checking in.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Oh, Ruben.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:09Speaker 2: They can't all be hitters. They can't all be hitters, Ruben.
- 51:12Speaker 2: All your jokes can't be good.
- 51:14Speaker 1: That's all. All righty, 4-2-5-4, 7-7-7.
- 51:19Speaker 9: Hey, good morning, Romeo.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on?
- 51:21Speaker 11: I need your opinion.
- 51:24Speaker 4: I need your help.
- 51:25Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 51:26Speaker 5: What do you got?
- 51:26Speaker 10: What's wrong?
- 51:27Speaker 5: Okay.
- 51:29Speaker 9: So, my grandma, can you speak about Tamales a little
- 51:32Speaker 9: bit earlier?
- 51:33Speaker 1: About the what?
- 51:34Speaker 6: Tamales.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Somebody was. What's up?
- 51:39Speaker 9: Okay, so I've been telling my grandma for years that,
- 51:42Speaker 9: you know, to teach me the actual recipe.
- 51:44Speaker 12: Like, I've always been her helper. I know exactly, like,
- 51:48Speaker 12: I have to go to Le Mans to get the, like,
- 51:50Speaker 12: you know, some of the ingredients. Like, I have to
- 51:52Speaker 12: go everywhere to her spots to get them. She says
- 51:57Speaker 12: that these certain stores give out the best ingredients.
- 52:00Speaker 9: I'm like, okay.
- 52:01Speaker 12: So I've always gotten the ingredients. I just don't know
- 52:04Speaker 12: how much of the seasoning to put.
- 52:07Speaker 9: That's my issue. You know, I can prepare everything else.
- 52:11Speaker 9: I just don't know the seasoning, you know, because I've
- 52:13Speaker 9: always been her helper. But I feel like whenever I
- 52:16Speaker 9: ask her for the recipe, instead of giving me the
- 52:18Speaker 9: recipe or telling me, hey, you know, like, hey, come Saturday,
- 52:21Speaker 9: we'll do it together.
- 52:22Speaker 12: And, like, I'll either write it down or videotape it
- 52:24Speaker 12: or whatever. She goes and she makes them by herself
- 52:28Speaker 12: or she makes them with my mom. And then she
- 52:31Speaker 12: uses excuses of, oh, you know, you have your kids,
- 52:33Speaker 12: you have the boys. Like, you know, kind of like saying, like,
- 52:36Speaker 12: you can't.
- 52:37Speaker 5: Do the food.
- 52:38Speaker 1: So does your mom know the recipe?
- 52:40Speaker 12: Yeah, she does, but she's too lazy to teach it.
- 52:42Speaker 9: You know, like, I feel like all these Mexican.
- 52:46Speaker 12: Parents, like, unless you, like, are right next to them,
- 52:51Speaker 12: you know, learning the recipe.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Okay, well, hold on. First of all, listen to me,
- 52:55Speaker 1: first of all.
- 52:56Speaker 2: If your mom knows it, get it from your mom.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Okay, well, then this is what you do. Do you
- 53:02Speaker 1: know what seasonings to use?
- 53:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Then all you got to do is practice on your
- 53:07Speaker 2: own to get it to taste. That's what cooking is.
- 53:13Speaker 4: Practice.
- 53:13Speaker 1: You practice.
- 53:14Speaker 2: If you know all the ingredients, you practice until it
- 53:16Speaker 2: gets the way that either you like it or the
- 53:19Speaker 2: way that they make it.
- 53:20Speaker 1: It's that simple. There is not a problem. There's no problem.
- 53:27Speaker 1: You're making excuses. You're making excuses. You just don't want
- 53:31Speaker 1: to put in the time and effort to practice.
- 53:33Speaker 12: Well, then there's your answer.
- 53:34Speaker 2: All right?
- 53:35Speaker 6: All right.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Bye.
- 53:46Speaker 2: But she ain't lying. Those moms and grandmas do not
- 53:48Speaker 2: want to give up their recipes. You ever seen two
- 53:51Speaker 2: tias fight over the recipe over the same dish?
- 53:53Speaker 6: Hey, Romeo.
- 53:54Speaker 12: Good morning.
- 53:54Speaker 5: Good morning. What's up?
- 53:56Speaker 11: Lady that calls about the tamales recipe and the seasonings
- 53:59Speaker 11: and all of that, just some advice for her. You
- 54:02Speaker 11: just got to, like, know. The ancestors tell you when
- 54:04Speaker 11: to stop with the salt. Like, you just got to,
- 54:07Speaker 11: you know, put your seasonings in, and you'll just know
- 54:09Speaker 11: when to stop.
- 54:10Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 54:10Speaker 11: And it's just trial and error.
- 54:12Speaker 6: That's it.
- 54:12Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 1: She's just being lazy. She wants it all done for her.
- 54:15Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 54:17Speaker 11: Like, you ain't wrong about the, you know, she ain't
- 54:19Speaker 11: wrong about they don't want to share the recipe and stuff.
- 54:21Speaker 12: But, like, yeah, you got to be right there.
- 54:23Speaker 5: You just kind of.
- 54:24Speaker 4: Have to eyeball it.
- 54:25Speaker 11: And season to taste, you just keep tasting it. You say, okay,
- 54:29Speaker 11: you'll figure it out.
- 54:31Speaker 1: You're totally right. Totally right. Hopefully she figures it out.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Hopefully by you saying the same thing I said, she'll listen.
- 54:39Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, my mom taught me how to cook, but, like, not, like, okay,
- 54:44Speaker 11: here's my recipe. I don't got one damn recipe written down.
- 54:47Speaker 11: It's all in the head.
- 54:50Speaker 2: I got to tell all you guys a funny story, though.
- 54:52Speaker 2: I have these two tias, and they fight over this
- 54:56Speaker 2: one dish, right? And they swear, one swears they took
- 55:01Speaker 2: it from me. And the one that says, I did
- 55:04Speaker 2: not take it from you, she says she got it
- 55:06Speaker 2: out of, like, a Betty Crocker cookbook 50 years ago.
- 55:11Speaker 1: And they're fighting over a dish.
- 55:13Speaker 11: Well, they took it from Betty Crocker, is what happened.
- 55:18Speaker 5: Hey, good morning, Romeo.
- 55:20Speaker 12: Hey, what up, man?
- 55:21Speaker 6: I've been my mom's hand mixer for tamales for the
- 55:24Speaker 6: past over 20 years.
- 55:27Speaker 9: And, man, all you have to do is just pay attention.
- 55:30Speaker 1: But, of course.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Just like driving, these women never pay attention.
- 55:38Speaker 1: All right. All right. My man must have had an
- 55:42Speaker 1: experience this morning. He had to roll that over. Hey, Rome,
- 55:47Speaker 1: that is so funny.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Rome, Ruben trying to rebuttal you because you clowned him
- 55:51Speaker 2: earlier and make it right. But to be real, some
- 55:53Speaker 2: of us don't have reception over here in the oil
- 55:55Speaker 2: patch and don't have time to take a call. We
- 55:58Speaker 2: all keep listening because it's big Rome in the morning.
- 56:01Speaker 1: And it's funny. It's not Feta Frye sachet wearing Ruben show.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Have a good day, Rome.
- 56:09Speaker 2: Rome, you know damn right that wasn't my daughter texting you.
- 56:12Speaker 1: You know I got fans. Yeah, Ruben's a celebrity.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Thanks to you. Yeah, Ruben's a celebrity. These guys, I
- 56:19Speaker 2: don't know why all these guys don't get their own show.
- 56:21Speaker 1: They should.
- 56:22Speaker 2: They should just start their own podcasts and be millionaires.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Far more successful than I ever was.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Hey, good morning, Rome.
- 56:29Speaker 2: I just want to say thank you for having a
- 56:31Speaker 2: great show and a shout out to Big Reuben, Raider Rob,
- 56:35Speaker 2: Seahawk Lou, Big Boy, Raider Dave, and Gilly. Hey, Rome,
- 56:41Speaker 2: why does Reuben want people who text to put their
- 56:44Speaker 2: name on it? This ain't developing breaking news or an
- 56:48Speaker 2: inside report. We're just piggybacking off each other because he
- 56:53Speaker 2: gets all butthurt when it doesn't go his way or
- 56:56Speaker 2: you don't agree with him.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Fair enough.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, tell that woman calling to tell that woman,
- 57:06Speaker 2: tell her mom she's a bad mom. A mother supposed
- 57:09Speaker 2: to teach her daughters how to cook.
- 57:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 57:15Speaker 1: But the thing about cooking is this is and you
- 57:18Speaker 1: guys cooking is practice. Cooking is to taste. Cooking is
- 57:24Speaker 1: trial and error.
- 57:25Speaker 2: So you can teach somebody fundamentally how to cook without
- 57:29Speaker 2: giving them your recipes.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Like I don't.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Make, like my fry bread, my mom won't make fry
- 57:37Speaker 2: bread because I make it better than her. But that
- 57:40Speaker 2: was because of me practicing what she taught me how
- 57:43Speaker 2: to do. I make better chili than my mom. I
- 57:45Speaker 2: make better different things. My mom taught me how to
- 57:48Speaker 2: do certain things, and I make them better than her.
- 57:50Speaker 2: But she makes things better than I do. So it's
- 57:54Speaker 2: practice and error. You might figure out something, an ingredient
- 57:57Speaker 2: that makes something that your mom taught you how to cook.
- 58:01Speaker 2: So when I say about cooking, it's learning fundamentally how.
- 58:05Speaker 1: To do it.
- 58:07Speaker 2: And then you practice and make everything your own. That's
- 58:10Speaker 2: really what cooking is.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Did you listen to that other lady that called?
- 58:13Speaker 9: Yes.
- 58:14Speaker 5: No, I know. You guys are motivating me to try
- 58:17Speaker 5: out this weekend.
- 58:19Speaker 9: You know, to try it at least with the salsa.
- 58:22Speaker 5: Because that one's really hard to go ahead and get
- 58:24Speaker 5: the taste for. Because that gives everything the flavor. Because
- 58:27Speaker 5: these are not the corn tamales. These are the banana
- 58:29Speaker 5: beef ones.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Okay.
- 58:31Speaker 12: But I forgot to mention is, oh, they won't give
- 58:34Speaker 12: me the recipe, but they gave my.
- 58:37Speaker 9: Cousin the recipe who's never helped make them before.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Well, that's because.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Don't take that as a sign that they don't like you.
- 58:49Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 58:50Speaker 1: It's not. No, it's not.
- 58:52Speaker 12: No, it doesn't matter.
- 58:56Speaker 2: You know who Mexican moms and grandmas take care of
- 58:59Speaker 2: the most? The ones that are the least successful in
- 59:03Speaker 2: the family. So don't take that as a sign of disrespect, okay?
- 59:07Speaker 1: That just means they know you'll figure it out. and
- 59:10Speaker 1: you're good, and they know she's a loser.
- 59:14Speaker 9: And the other one, too, is after I got the
- 59:19Speaker 9: Tacano de Rez recipe, I beat my mom and I
- 59:22Speaker 9: beat my dad and I beat my grandma. Yeah, no.
- 59:26Speaker 9: They didn't want to go ahead and cook around me anymore.
- 59:28Speaker 1: All right. Well, don't be a hater.
- 59:30Speaker 7: Get out of here.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Yeah, what's going on?
- 59:33Speaker 9: What's up, Lou?
- 59:35Speaker 6: Hey, a little bit of advice for you guys. I
- 59:39Speaker 6: think you said the right thing when it comes to cooking.
- 59:43Speaker 6: It's trial and error, man.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Wait, you're calling with cooking advice?
- 59:50Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Oh, hell no. Ain't nobody want no burnt carne asada, Lou.
- 59:53Speaker 1: You better slow down.
- 59:55Speaker 2: All right, Rome, it's Niner Nick. All these damn bandwagon
- 59:59Speaker 2: Niner fans, I'm a real fan, Rome. I got a
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: satin jacket from the 80s, but above all else, you
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: know us Niner fans never pay our damn bets. Anyways, brother,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: number one radio show in the morning all day, every day.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate that. Thank you.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: Hey, I think I lost signal out here in Wasco, Rome.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Yeah, your phone. I know it's kind of shoddy service
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: out there. What's going on?
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I was giving you guys a little bit of
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: advice on the cooking thing. It's trial and error.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, nobody wants burnt carne asada, Lou. I don't
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: think you lost signal. What's going on?
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: The number one Niner fan of all time. 49 excuses.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: At least he used to call every Sunday. I mean,
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: every Monday.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I wonder what happened to him.
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: I think the last time we talked to him, he
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: moved to Arizona. Oh, okay. Yeah, he was all sad.
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: He goes, you know, I'm not going to.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: Be a part of the show no more.
- 1:00:54Speaker 10: Oh, okay.
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: He moved to Arizona.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I wonder.
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Well, maybe he'll come back and get a visit. We'll
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: talk to him.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Hopefully.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Hopefully. All right.
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: And Bobby Boucher, I mean, Louis Boucher, don't be giving
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: out advice on cookies.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Later.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Nobody wants your burnt carne asada, Lou. Nobody. Hey, Rome,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: what I do is I add a little bit. I
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: add a little bit, let.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: It cook for about five minutes, taste, and if it's
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: not to my liking good, my liking, I add a
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: little more. That's how I perfect my recipes all in time.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: You got this, girl.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Raider Rob. Yeah, she'll figure it out. She's just being impatient.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: That's all she's doing is being impatient. All right? You
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: got to practice. Cooking is just practicing. Trial and error.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: You know? For Seahawk Lou, it's more error than trial.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: But, hey. Hey, Rome.
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: We know cooking is practice. But before a woman needs out,
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: she needs to be in there, be in the kitchen
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: with her mom practicing and stuff.
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: Well.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Some women don't have to cook.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: They go make a lot of money, or they make
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: their own money, and then they can eat out, or
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: they get a rich husband.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You know how that goes. Not everybody has to cook.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Good morning, Hollis. What's going on?
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: What's up, Rome?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: What up, man?
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Hey, man.
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: I just want to tell you, man, I appreciate you
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: for the tickets. I'm going for Fuerza Regula.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Well, congratulations. Have a good time.
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: Hey, but one of my good friends is Seahawk Lou.
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: So I told her, if the Seahawks lose, I'm taking them.
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: I swear I'm taking them.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: If the Seahawks lose tonight, you're going to take him?
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: Yes, I'm going to take him because I'm nobody. So
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: I'm going to take him.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Seahawk Lou's an expensive date. That fool ain't got no money.
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: No, he's going to buy me the drinks, though.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: That's a good one. He told me. He told you?
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: Yeah, he told me. Hey, man, I'll buy the drinks.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Hey, take a couple dollars just in case, okay? All right, Romeo.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: I mean, take at least $ 40 or $ 60 just in case, okay?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Yeah, all right.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: Have a good one, Romeo.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Romeo in the morning. Every morning.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: On Hot 94.1.
