- 4:14while now. As I look back over my social media page, look back
- 4:18over mine different things. I see that now. I have been really going
- 4:24hard for a little over a year, and I just thank God for just

- 4:50Of course, y'all know that these individuals are incarcerated, so we know
- 4:55that anytime anything may happen. Y'all know that they are constantly doing counts,
- 5:00shift change and all that stuff. And every time they do that they have
- 5:03to do account so sometime they it can take them a minute because guess what,
- 5:08until they get that count correct, they got to be still. They
- 5:12cannot have any movement. So be patient, be patient, as my guests
- 5:17has come on. But I want to thank you guys to have been sharing
- 5:23these reels. They have been sharing these youtubes, all of this information.
- 5:28If you're not following the free Texts campaign, I want you guys to follow

- 6:48and direct, So I'm gonna turn it over to mister Robert if you would
- 6:53please introduce yourself, sir, Yes, ma'am, and I want to thank
- 7:00you for allow me to come on here. My name is because them.
- 7:04I'm over here, Jameson and be Texas and uh, I'm just to be
- 7:12on the platform. Thank you, awesome, awesome, awesome wealth. I
- 7:17utilize this platform to give those that are incarcerated within the td CJ an opportunity
- 7:24to share and reflect on their journey through the td c J and the things
- 7:31that they would like to share. Because from the outside of looking in,
- 7:35I see that there are a lot of things that need to be corrected,
- 7:41things that need to be brought to attention. So I am trying to be
- 7:44the outlet in that force to allow those things to come forth. So if
- 7:49you would tonight share from your perspective those things that you want to share on
- 7:55tonight, mister Roberts, all right, thank you. I've got a few
- 8:00things to touch on. Uh. First of all, I want to let
- 8:03the listeners love it. Uh. I'm related to to James Legate, which
- 8:09is a person that would I guess you had on your podcast October thirtieth,
- 8:15and uh, you know that's a whole story in itself, you know,
- 8:18kind of proof of how how things have for a reason. And I'll elaborate
- 8:24on that here in a second. But you got me. You gotta me
- 8:28cued in, uh, you know, because you need a very sensitive spot.
- 8:33You know, the thing's going on over here and just baby text and
- 8:37it's just frus Basically, it's couldn't drive conflict of interests, you know,
- 8:41basically how we're being exploited for our you know, free labor. They called
- 8:46out everything one. I like to call it what it is, uh modern
- 8:52day slavery. You know, it ain't sound shocking to a lot of people
- 8:56out there listening, especially if they don't live here. It's incruscerated in the
- 9:01TVCJ system. But just rest assure it's a living well. Okay. So
- 9:07one of the things that I wanted to hit on, I said, you
- 9:09know, I'm like going to sit here. First of all, I'm gonna
- 9:13be real with y'all. I wanna let y'all know that this is not my
- 9:16first time I crucerated. I am a criminal, which I wanted to be
- 9:20recondited, and I have changed my weights, but I do have a passion
- 9:26and the first time I come down, you know, I wanted to I
- 9:31wanted to change the world, you know, I wanted to feel myself up.
- 9:35I wanted to make a buzz and change. So I you know,
- 9:37I got enrolled in a quot a bunch of programs, and you know,
- 9:41I took every trade I could and at that time, I became a master
- 9:45mechanic, you know, through a lot of art work and you know,
- 9:48training and just getting myself ready to come home and be different. I'm from
- 9:52my family. Well that was my first experience with the reality and TVCJ and
- 9:58how exploit us. You know, they have these programs, you know they
- 10:01uh they call it the old JAP program and then they've got special projects still
- 10:07you know where they actually they paid for you to get certified and if they
- 10:13for you to get on the job training, but as soon as you complete
- 10:18the six month course or whatever it is they needed to me put you into
- 10:22the industry. You know, they got all kinds of stuff. Let me
- 10:24tell you, They've got every special trade, every skilled labor job that there
- 10:28is out there in the world to pay good money. Blue collar work says,
- 10:33good money, good benefits, all that. Okay. They have listen
- 10:35in here doing it for free. Okay, So that's cool, and it's
- 10:41you know, in the way I'm myself at the personal round, I'd always
- 10:43like, well, you know, I get to get my hands dirty,
- 10:48I get to get the hands on training that I need and I just had
- 10:50to book page. So it's a positive thing, right. Well, the
- 10:58first time I caught up the pro by why I had a six year sentence.
- 11:01The first time I come down, right, first time I see parole,
- 11:03I get a set which is a denial of prow right, Okay,
- 11:09no problem, She's give me more time to studying, making me you ain't
- 11:11going to the next level, you know. And I get doing my certifications
- 11:15and stuff, you know, over achieving. And so the next pro day
- 11:20comes, now I get a set off again. So my family is to
- 11:26her, like, what are you doing in there? I mean, are
- 11:28you are you getting trouble? I mean, what's going on with Why are
- 11:31you not making your corole? You know, because they automatically think that when
- 11:35your pro day comes up, you're being good, you go home, And
- 11:37that's just not the case. It's you know, especially if they if you
- 11:43become an accent to them, you know, So just see just too fast
- 11:50forward a live bit on that it was already four and a half years to
- 11:54buy a six year sentence, And I see paroles again, and they deny
- 12:00me. So it took my family having to contact the commissioner and all this,
- 12:05you know one and the know how was this man? How was my
- 12:09son a truth Steve with no disciplinary case oncesoever? Why is he getting set
- 12:16off after self? And this is his third one? Why is he that
- 12:20he's got all these it's why is he not going home? So you know,
- 12:24they acanded me that that. You know, I talked to the commissioner
- 12:26and he come out there and he told me, because thank you, you
- 12:30know what, off the record, mand you are an asset TC dame,
- 12:35and that is why you you have been getting me set off. He goes,
- 12:39now, I'm gonna change that. I'm gonna give you for all the
- 12:41day. But it's us the truth. You know, you you become an
- 12:46asset to the system. And for that reason, it's I think that's interesting
- 12:50to let you go. And I couldn't believe that. Yeah, I couldn't
- 12:54believe that team And unfortunately I got out, had my chance to be right
- 12:58out there and and and I'll just try a high percentage of people here,
- 13:03you know Texas, you know recidivism race, it's crazy. So I was
- 13:09a statistic I come back and go through the whole processes again. For the
- 13:15second time. I went to truck driving school and I got a CEL and
- 13:20I'm driving trucks, you know, for the state. I'm out here on
- 13:24the road every single day, driving the rounds in the pality, delivering,
- 13:28commissary delivering you know, just different goods going on a turnership factory, just
- 13:33all the different industries that GCJ has inmates going all the day, and I'm
- 13:39going and picking up all this product and taking it and delivering it, basically
- 13:43helping them generate millions and millions of dollars that they make every year. Right.
- 13:50Did I get any money out of it? No? Did they have
- 13:54to pay a farewell person to come transport their free No. So that's when
- 14:01I started paying attention to things a little bit more, and I said,
- 14:03you know what, what does this really cost to me to have this good
- 14:07job where I get to drive out on the road and be trusted and all
- 14:11that. How is that gonna wait for me going home? You know?
- 14:13Do I want to stay here and be a be ah, you know,
- 14:18be a good boy and get and have a good job and all that stuff,
- 14:22and spend way more time than I was supposed to or do I go
- 14:26ahead and just take the janitor job and go home. And that's what I
- 14:30had to do. That's exactly what I had to do. And as soon
- 14:33as I got that janitor job, I come home. I get for miraculously.
- 14:39So you're telling me that that you got to go out and drive a
- 14:46truck out on the pre world streets and deliver and the free world. Yes,
- 14:54and then you did not get paid, not a dime. I did
- 14:58not get paid. So if a person in the free world had have been
- 15:03driving that truck, they would have got paid, and then probably would have
- 15:09made some bonuses too, depending on how much, because man truck driving is
- 15:16something different. The pay is it's crazy, but you would have made some
- 15:20money. And I have an issue with that because a lot of people,
- 15:28they have child support, they have children on the outside world that they can
- 15:33be getting. They can pay for their own medical y'all could take care of
- 15:37a lot of things if they allowed y'all to make money, if they allowed
- 15:41y'all to act, And not only that, y'all could have better conditions,
- 15:46because I hear that the living conditions are horrible, Like you would be able
- 15:50to afford a pillow. You could buy a pillow, you could have you
- 15:54can have a blanket. You probably could get a blanket. But I understand
- 15:58that making it may not pay you what they would pay a freewell or person.
- 16:03But to pay you something for your for your services, that that it
- 16:07just it don't I don't get it, But then I do get it because
- 16:12somebody is getting kickbacks off of it because from my understanding, a lot of
- 16:18things that y'all do, y'all have to sign a little like it's like little
- 16:21timesheets or something to to document that y'all we were actually there. And then
- 16:26y'all have to put like work hours down Like I never got that, even
- 16:30going to the law library, I never got that. Why you have to
- 16:34put down work hours and if your work hours ain't correct, you can get
- 16:37disciplm their actions. I just never got that. But it's sad that they
- 16:42do that to y'all. Yeah, it is, and it's very frustrating because
- 16:48you know, you come in, we're coming in on the street and you
- 16:52know, a lot of us, a lot of us, you know,
- 16:56we recognize that we messed up a lot of way and all the wed minus
- 17:00to make it up. If you guys change ourselves and doing so, you
- 17:03want to be positive coming in right, That's that's that's what's so so bad
- 17:07about it because you strive to go learn, and you strive to go and
- 17:11do these things. And as soon as you will obtain that certification, whatever
- 17:15it is, whether it be well deed or pet drive, whatever it is,
- 17:19they automatically as soon as you graduate, the very next day you see
- 17:23classifications, you're going to be a side of a job and you're gonna be
- 17:27working that job. And if you don't go to that job, if you
- 17:30decide, hey, you know what, I don't want to work. I
- 17:33feel like you're exploiting me. Well, there's disciplinary action for you. They
- 17:37will lower your custody level. They will put a major case on you then
- 17:42which you're going to hinder your parole when you come up. Okay, you
- 17:45got this guy. You know, he doesn't have a good disciplinary record.
- 17:49All that, you know, take away your privileges to go buy a commissary,
- 17:52to go to recreation. Just they make your life a living hell.
- 17:59If you don't do it, we don't do what they want you to do.
- 18:03So, I mean, the prison system has been operating. I can
- 18:06spare you know, and as I got as I got an older, and
- 18:11I started learning more dangs and just talking to different people that have been locked
- 18:14up twenty thirty years, you know, hearn their stories. It just blows
- 18:18my mind that nothing has been done about it. You know, I stop.
- 18:22You know, I just barely started learning about the constitutional law and you
- 18:30know, the thirteenth Amendment and involuntary service to all those kinds of things.
- 18:34Right, and so that brings me to my next The next thing, you
- 18:40know is this about two about abut about three weeks ago, we started hearing
- 18:45this rumor about you know, about this power joint House joint resilation by resolution
- 18:49sixty three and fifty three. Right, Well, sixty three was dealing with
- 18:55you know, it was a proposition to abolish slavery and involuntary service. So
- 19:00you know, you hear all kinds of women when you're in prison. So
- 19:03the first thing I want to do is I want to verify. So I
- 19:06got on my tablet. We got next to selections on the law library.
- 19:10Yet, so I got out there, looted up man there is And then
- 19:14in the working of this resolution, it said that it's going to be giving
- 19:18up to the voter for November seventh of this year. So immediately got on
- 19:23the phone, I said, Mama, sister, I call my mom,
- 19:26my sister. They do everything for me, you know, I love them
- 19:29with it. So I'm like, look, I'm not coming with no little
- 19:33more. I've seen it on the tablet google it. So they google it.
- 19:36There there it is. It's it. So every voting started October twenty
- 19:42third, right, So my mom and my sister they put it on their
- 19:45schedule to go down the Middle Library and vote. Well, she goes down
- 19:51there and get the copy of the ballot and there's nothing on there but no
- 19:56House Resolution sixty three sixty three anything what TGD. So he does the little
- 20:03peaper, We does the little peoper. We found out that they got hung
- 20:06up in the State Affairs Committee and to judging by the track record or what
- 20:12all the other deals that they proposed, it's gonna die there. And that
- 20:18through my mind, how these people getting away. We're operating all these industries
- 20:25at this day and age making millions and millions of dollars from our vapor and
- 20:30we ain't getting the dime out of it, and we're a burden on our
- 20:33families and they're having, they raise the prices of the inflation that y'all have
- 20:38out there. We're on the Late Show, but it's trickling trickling down and
- 20:45we're feeling it over there. So not only does our family have the burden
- 20:48of inflection and all these things going on out there in the world, they
- 20:52are being you know, and put in a position to where they got to
- 20:56spend this commissary money to pay we don't have the ability to earn our own
- 21:03money and be productive. So it's just frustrating. And then I don't think
- 21:10it's fair. You know, Wow, that's sad. I mean, it
- 21:15really is. And we talk about them trying to give us Juneteenth to recognize
- 21:26the fact that celebrity ended, and it really didn't because it just went from
- 21:33a public form to them trying to hide it in the form of prisons.
- 21:38And people got to wake up and realize that. I mean, you look
- 21:42at the amount of prisons that's going up, the amount of incarceration, and
- 21:48then you look at the area instead of being incarcerated, you know, how
- 21:52they've done stuff and what is going on in the state of Texas, and
- 21:56this is not something that's just started happening, y'all. This has been going
- 22:00on for three to four decades, and they have purposely said that. You
- 22:06know, every time there's been a issue where there's been low levels of beds
- 22:11being filled, they you noticed the increase in crimes, and they falsify warrants,
- 22:21They falsified indictments. You heard if he was tuned in last night,
- 22:26you heard the case where they have charged this man with a body the whole
- 22:30time, and it was supposed to been with he was supposed to have been
- 22:34charged with something to do with some cocaine, but they charged him with his
- 22:40stuff. Read as if he killed somebody and was charged with the dead body.
- 22:45And it's sad because they contacted him and told them that they messed up
- 22:49his records and they were supposed to correct the records and they were supposed to
- 22:53correct his sentences and all that, and it's yet to happen. So just
- 23:00as ya all of the thousand of you guys, you know, I'm dealing
- 23:03with forty five of y'all that y'all stories are similar with how you was railroaded
- 23:10in the court by these these these underhanded lawyers. These these lawyers are taking
- 23:18brides that's what they're doing. They're taking bribes to get these cases. Because
- 23:22I hear cases where one lawyer have four or five capital murder cases. How
- 23:29can you properly defend for capital murder cases at one time? You can't.
- 23:34You can't in defend these people, and honestly, so it's all about the
- 23:40dollar for them. And this not just happening in the state of Texas.
- 23:44For those that are tuned in and those that will hear this as a replay,
- 23:47you know, it's very important that we are voting in these local elections
- 23:52so that we know who we have in office, so that we know who's
- 23:56gonna speak up, because there's a lot of people that are sitting in these
- 23:59positions and making these quarter billion dollar salaries a year and doing absolutely nothing,
- 24:04and they are elected. Every single time election come up, they get back
- 24:08in, They get back in, they get back in because nobody is talking.
- 24:12Y'all, we got to do better. When you know better, you
- 24:15do better. And this is a season where we got to do better because
- 24:18there's too many stories like this being told. You know, he began off
- 24:22talking about his uncle. This man is and we're not gonna get into his
- 24:27story. I want you tonight. I want you to tell the people what
- 24:33it is that they can do to assist you in what you are trying to
- 24:38do. So please tell us how can we help mister Robert Castido. Well,
- 24:48the first thing was is to bring awareness, you know, get out
- 24:52there and educate yourself and stuff and teaming about the bills. Like there's just
- 24:56one house builds and sixte were right. That was the one that was sponsored
- 25:03by Sherman. I don't know his full name of it, just as culture
- 25:06question exactly. Okay, this this this house build proposal was you know,
- 25:14it was for a good conduct time which is gonna affect us our duration and
- 25:18let us go home, you know, and let us get credit for all
- 25:21the work hours that we we'd accumulated were locked up. You know, there's
- 25:25bills like that. There's a like I said, the House Jowing Resolution sixty
- 25:30three. There's a whole list of them to come out every single year,
- 25:33you know, and both and the public never even get to see him.
- 25:37Because I guarantee you if the public looked up and seeing House Joint Resolution sixty
- 25:41three and all the title of it, I mean, it would be a
- 25:45no brainer. Who who who would not support a composition abolishing slavery and involuntary
- 25:53service. You, I mean, that's got and dry. I want to
- 25:56know, you know, I want to know who supports it. Why who's
- 26:03on this state affair a committee here in Texas. It's allowing this just to
- 26:08stay out of the public's eye so they can't vote Hunting. My family was
- 26:12very disappointed when they went down there and saw that they wasn't even on there.
- 26:15They flewd their mind, and I was the one that had to preak
- 26:18them of these guys in here and say, look, man, it's not
- 26:22even on the ballot. They couldn't do it? Yeah, is it?
- 26:23Says? I heard a tepid So what I'm asking everybody to do is educate
- 26:30yourself. Look at these bills, pay attention to them, Contact the sponsors
- 26:36of these bills and ask them, hey, why is this? How do
- 26:40we what do we gotta do to get it on the ballot because we want
- 26:42to vote it. We want it. Somebody proposed it, so they must
- 26:45want it. How do how can we help you out to get this task?
- 26:51Who do we need to do, who do we need to contact?
- 26:52And we need to go to the capital. What do we need to do.
- 26:56There's organizations out there doing that. You got TIFA and ain't know many
- 27:00other organization profits and stuff. Educate yourself, take action, especially if we
- 27:07have a loved one that's incarcelated. You know, we limited to what we
- 27:14can do and we need you out there. Thank you very much. Well,
- 27:22I definitely want to thank you for stopping by and shedding some lights on
- 27:27some of these things. I tell you, I have an issue right now
- 27:30with the parole Board. You mentioned the parole Board earlier, and I have
- 27:36a serious issue with them blocking out that number because it definitely speaks for the
- 27:41transparency. How do these people know what is going on if you're blocking out
- 27:48the number? And why is it not being public record when it should be
- 27:51public record. See, it's a lot of stuff that's being done behind closed
- 27:55doors and being kept in and silent and then moving in silence and then cover
- 28:00up. See what has happened over these last three to four decades is these
- 28:03district attorneys have done all of this fraudulent and all of this falsification. So
- 28:11every time you get a new district attorney, they got to come in and
- 28:14cover up. So it's it's just cover up out the cover up, out
- 28:17the cover up. And I'm gonna keep telling people that they need to call
- 28:21for the Department of Justice to come into the in Texas and do a clean
- 28:23suite. And they need to start with the governor because there's a lot of
- 28:26corruption. Anytime you can google corruption in the state and your governor pop up.
- 28:33See there's a joke going on in an app. It says the GOP.
- 28:37There's an app for that, and then the A stands for Abbott who
- 28:41is the governor? You got Patrick's and then you got the attorney general who's
- 28:45who is what his name? Patrick? Paxton? Paxton Patrick and and and
- 28:53an albat So, like I say, it's a lot going on. But
- 29:00the people of Texas, the citizens of Texas, I'm just calling for you
- 29:03to stand up. You know, this is your state, and what better
- 29:08voice to be heard than the voice of the people that live there, the
- 29:14voice of the people that pay taxes, the voice of the people that vote.
- 29:18If these people are not doing what need to be done to make sure
- 29:22that the citizens are are okay, because just because someone is incarcerated does not
- 29:27mean that they don't have rights. You know, they are constantly I mean
- 29:33disregarding their rights the lot of A prime example was this latest lockdown. The
- 29:42quality of food they are providing. I mean, you got grown men and
- 29:48women and you're feeding them slop. You're feeding them like they're animals, and
- 29:55it's sad, you know. I often time compare the jail system with the
- 30:00school system. As far as food, USDA controls a lot of this stuff.
- 30:06And if they can get food from the USDA, that they can get
- 30:08the right foods, that's gonna be guideline that will provide the nutrition that is
- 30:15needed. It's time for these people to be held accountable for all that they
- 30:21have done over decade over decade over decade. Again, the Department of Justice
- 30:26need to come in and do a clean sweet because these people have said that
- 30:30they've done investigations. Yeah, how can you investigate yourself? You are the
- 30:36problem, So how can you investigate yourself. There's no way that you can
- 30:40investigate yourself. Time after time, you are constantly hearing these people telling these
- 30:48people that they that they should be free, that this is what's wrong,
- 30:52this was done wrong. So why won't you give them an F one immediate
- 30:56release release these people? Carl Sherman he listens to he He listens and he
- 31:03follows the Free Texas campaign, so he knows the concerns that we are making
- 31:11aware. He's probably gonna hear this because he follows. I have a stream
- 31:17shot of him sitting up there in the followers because they put pictures of your
- 31:23followers on your page. So he's sitting up there. And I looked at
- 31:26a comment that he and I screenshot it. If you can follow the page
- 31:30and you can see what we're doing, then why can't you you take action
- 31:36on some of these things that we are making public knowledge that is going on.
- 31:41He's not the only one. You got Ron Reynolds, you got Monica
- 31:45Delacruz, you got Sheila Jackson Lee. It's a whole slew of them,
- 31:49Governor Abbot, all of them are on the Free Texas campaign page. So
- 31:55it's not like they don't know, because they know. But I'm not going
- 31:59anywhere. God God has commissioned me to this. It is a mandate,
- 32:05and until until he tells me to stop, I'm not stopping. So it
- 32:09is what it is. I definitely I thank you, I thank you for
- 32:14coming on and being a voice tonight. We definitely will have to get you
- 32:17back on again to share. But definitely please, I apply, I applore
- 32:24you to get your family involved, because I'm telling you, I'm coming to
- 32:30Texas in January. I'm coming to Texas. We're gonna be ralling down at
- 32:34that state House. We're gonna be on that Capitol. We're gonna be knocking
- 32:37on some doors. So we're gonna be getting some stuff together. We man,
- 32:39I'm sick of these people and that's what it's gonna take. So I'm
- 32:45telling you it's time for a change. And over here at the Crew Podcast,
- 32:50we believe that in order for change to come, we have to be
- 32:53the change that we desired to see in this world. We can't sit and
- 32:57be quiet. God has given us a war us, He's given us an
- 33:00outlet. He's given us the means. So we have to move. We
- 33:04can't be still. We can't be still. This has been happening far too
- 33:07long. See if if you are a believer, I'm a believer, and
- 33:12I believe that the first should be last and the last should be first.
- 33:15See they've been they've been leading up the front for a long time. And
- 33:20they've been leading up the front and the wrong way that it's time for the
- 33:22tail to come to the head and I ain't ain't. I ain't having it.
- 33:28So again, thank you for stopping by. Is there something anything that
- 33:31you want to say? I think we got by the minute. Anything you
- 33:36want to say before we in? I want to thank you again, Angelus
- 33:43and I want to ask courage her. Everybody out there, I hope you
- 33:46got fired up by what you have to say. And uh, you're absolutely
- 33:51right. And depending on y'all out there, we're not hitting, still gonna
- 33:53be in the fight. We're gonna be doing everything that we need to do
- 33:57to bring awareness to our love wants. And I want y'all know we got
- 34:01a little slogan in here, and it's called free labor, equal slave labor.
- 34:07Don't get it twisted. I thank y'all very much for for listening to
- 34:13everything I had today and I'll be back on too much. Well, thank
- 34:16you and enjoy what you can of your night. You all right, Well,
- 34:27I definitely thank you, Thank you, Thank you, y'all. I
- 34:30thank him for coming on and being a voice. We have another gentleman that's
- 34:37going to be coming on and sharing, so I'm gonna give him a chance
- 34:42to call in I tell y'all, I don't take this lightly. I don't
- 34:45take the opportunity that God has given me because I just look back up with
- 34:50my life and I could have went in so many other directions, and God
- 34:54just so fit for this direction because a lot of us don't realize how blessed
- 34:58we are that we don't have to endure these things. And then some of
- 35:02us, you know, we have messed up and we could have been on
- 35:07that end of the rope. But God saw fit, He saw fit that
- 35:13we didn't have to go through that. But I think that those that have
- 35:16to endure this, there are some special people, because I know that God
- 35:21will never put more on us than we can bear. But the fact that
- 35:24people play God and think that they have the power to do things, but
- 35:30see, He knew who would be able to handle if they had to endure
- 35:36it, that they would be the ones that could endure it. So I
- 35:39don't think it's a mistake for those that are in there. And it's always
- 35:44a learning experience. And through this, everything that is done in the dark,
- 35:49it shall come to the light. It's not gonna go unvindicated. So
- 35:53everything that people think that they're getting away with they're not getting away with it.
- 36:00All this stuff that people do behind your back, and they think think
- 36:04that, oh they got over on they got over on Angela, I got
- 36:07over on Black Diamond, I got over on Keisha. No, they didn't
- 36:10get over Because a lot of times we move into spirit and we move in
- 36:16the things that God places in our heart. So when people think that they
- 36:21are using us, they're not. They're not. But I tell you,
- 36:27I'm thankful for being in a position to where I can use my voice because
- 36:31there was a time when I didn't think I had a voice. There was
- 36:35a time when I didn't think that I was capable of doing any of the
- 36:38things that I'm doing. But God's sow fit. God's sow fit to allow
- 36:44me to be able to influence others and to bring others together. Because whoever
- 36:51spoke Queen of Collaboration over my life, they did me a favor. They
- 36:54helped me to push me into that that God had already called and purposed me
- 37:00to be. If they had not been obedient and speak that over my life,
- 37:04I wouldn't be here today. I wouldn't be here doing a lot of
- 37:07the collaboration projects and bringing people together. But because God sow fit to lay
- 37:13that on somebody's heart that day. And they spoke that thing over my life,
- 37:16and they kept speaking and they kept speaking in and it just began to
- 37:21become life to me. Y'all. I would hear people say it, and
- 37:24I was like, clean up class, I said, people who think.
- 37:28And then it just became natural. It just I heard people say it so
- 37:31long, I just began to say it, and y'all didn't. It became
- 37:35It wasn't just something that I said. It became a business. Queen of
- 37:40collaboration, life coaching and consultant. It became a business. In twenty twenty,
- 37:47it came to life. God gave me an opportunity to allow my voice
- 37:53to speak, gave me the opportunity to get artified as a life coach,
- 38:01gave me an opportunity to learn how to publish books, and not only learn
- 38:08how to to publish books, but to be able to help other people that
- 38:14that needed to learn how to publish books. So I'm able to coach people
- 38:16on this journey out. So y'all, I'm just you know, I get
- 38:22excited because y'all, the enemy wanted to take me out. So my second
- 38:27guess is in the building, y'all. He's in the building. He's in
- 38:29the building. He's in the building. If you would, y'all, y'all,
- 38:32And I tell you, I thank God for this platform. I thank
- 38:36Him for every opportunity that I have. And y'all have to be sometimes ya.
- 38:42I know I can go there, but I get passionate about those things
- 38:45that God has called me to and doing just what I'm doing now. It's
- 38:49one of those things that He's called me to is to be an outlet,
- 38:52to be a platform that allow people to be able to to be able to
- 38:58share. So we have another individual that is going to be sharing. I
- 39:04want you to introduce yourself, if you would please. Yes, my name
- 39:08is Rome Rummost and I want to thank you for anwing me this opportunity to
- 39:15share my short version of the story of my story of what happened and uh,
- 39:22well, so, uh what happened was is I was charged with aggravated
- 39:29sectional assault. I was accused by my ex wife and uh I was charged
- 39:38and with the trial and style guilty. Uh the charge Uh the district attorney
- 39:45the days was uh trustcut in the cage will tell eating DNA evidence in which
- 39:54I follow my chapter sixty four DNA motions, uh and June of twenty nineteen,
- 40:02and I just got my reports back that clarity exonerate me. And yet
- 40:09I'm still sitting in prison for a crime that I never committed. Okay,
- 40:16And so I've been here for twenty four years and DNA evidence says this chapter
- 40:27sixty four I followed has taken me a long time. The court have denied
- 40:35my rids and everything that I have filed as the past, and the attorneys
- 40:40that I've had were all, i mean, their quarter pointed attorney, so
- 40:45pretty much their ineffectiveness. And yeah, i still have this exonerating DNA evidence
- 40:54and I'm still sitting in prison, and the courts refused to do any thing
- 41:00about it, or at least at this time, they haven't done anything yet.
- 41:05And so that's where I'm sitting at right now. Wow. So there
- 41:14was Okay, first of all, how did they convict you? They convicted
- 41:21me on testalonial, So they convicted you pretty much heap hearsay because it was
- 41:27her word against your word. That's right, that's that's that's true. So
- 41:34they had no concrete evidence, so they had no I had no physical evidence
- 41:40whatsoever. The expert out of there. There was nothing wrong with her all.
- 41:49Everything was long and there was nothing there at all. That's uh,
- 41:54I plan, but there was no DNA because they fails that evidence as the
- 42:00file, but in the file because the future with hild it and he told
- 42:07the jury said the reason why he did that was because the jury was sid
- 42:15uhh. There's not a work side said that. They weren't stupid. They
- 42:21take you my d they will keep out there because with my wife on the
- 42:27same day and my kids cancer at all, and so we told the sy
- 42:35But according to the DNA before, that's not true. That's not about there's
- 42:42no physical evidence, there's no medical evidence. There's no DNA evidence here to
- 42:46support because that allegation have all. I'm still h that's pretty much what's what
- 42:59happened. I mean, I don't believe from here. I don't know what
- 43:07else to do to prove an I mean, what else do I need?
- 43:10You know? Wow? Uh, But it's true. I'm living it,
- 43:20and it's been very difficult for we need to talk about that. But I'm
- 43:24opening up and I feel complex and everything that I have and everything that I'm
- 43:29saying doctor, everything that I say that I and so that's why that Wow,
- 43:44that is sad. I mean, I don't know what else, what
- 43:47else they need besides DNA evidence to prove that you are innocent? But I
- 43:54don't. I just did the whole system that someone says the whole system needs
- 44:00recall, this is definitely ridiculous, and you are It is a pattern.
- 44:06This is a pattern that we are hearing as we listen to the various cases.
- 44:10Because again, I want to remind people as they listen to these different
- 44:16these different cases and these different things, that all of these inmates are not
- 44:21in the same location, so they're in different parts of Texas, They're in
- 44:24different facilities, So some of these people have never met each other, that
- 44:29have no contact with each other. So these stories that you are hearing and
- 44:35the similarities that you are hearing, it just speaks for the corruption that is
- 44:40going on within the judicial system there in the state of Texas and the TDC
- 44:45and definitely the Parole Board. You know, they're doing a lot of underhanded
- 44:51things that need to be corrected, and there are a lot of representative elected
- 44:58officials that are where of these things. You know, I have come to
- 45:04a point where I will not be quiet. I will not sit down.
- 45:08I will not be silent. Every time there's something that is brought to my
- 45:12attention, I bring it to the at tension of those that I support have
- 45:16told me to bring it to their attention. So I am constantly and I
- 45:21am constantly emailing caul o' Sherman, Ron Reynolds, Sheila Jackson, Lee Monica
- 45:28Dela Cruz, Greg Abbott who is the governor. None of them will respond.
- 45:36Cornell X, who is a activist in the Houston, Dallas par of
- 45:42view all those areas. He's fluently on social media. I see them on
- 45:46Instagram. I see them doing these different things. Where are these people to
- 45:51stand up for the rights of these people that have clearly been violated. Civil
- 45:55rights after civil rights after civil rights have been viol late, and yet the
- 46:05courts do not stand up and make rulings when they have the authority to do
- 46:08that. Like we elect these people into office. Well, I'm not in
- 46:13the state of Texas, so I didn't elect nobody in the state of Texas.
- 46:16But those that are in the state of Texas. You elected these officials,
- 46:22and they have failed you. They have failed you as citizens. They
- 46:28are corrupt and this corruption. When corruption happens, y'all, it hurts a
- 46:32lot of people. When these people think that they're getting over there making all
- 46:37this underhanded money. You got to keep doing wrong to cover up for those
- 46:40things that you're doing, so you're it's always gonna be something going on,
- 46:45and all these people that are affected. You got individuals that have been wrongfully
- 46:50and overly incarcerated for twenty twenty five, thirty thirty five, forty years.
- 46:55Y'all. We ain't talking about five years. We ain't talking about two year.
- 47:00Ye were talking about decades. We're talking about people not see they're not
- 47:04even seeing their kids get born and grow up because some of them when they
- 47:08when they went away, their kids was babies, their kids was young,
- 47:14so they don't get an opportunity to see this. I see all these elected
- 47:17officials posting on social media and join their lives, drain a quarter of a
- 47:24million dollar salaries, they're nice homes, these these lavish events, when y'all
- 47:30are part of the problem because y'all will not make sure that these people are
- 47:36doing what they're supposed to do. Even the laws that you have in place
- 47:38that could help some of these people, y'all don't enforce them, y'all,
- 47:43do not enforce them like you tell me. How can you allow a public
- 47:51defender to become assist to district attorney, then to become district attorney and then
- 47:55get on the House of Appeals? How how can you let them get on
- 48:00the Court of Appeals when they clearly have helped put these people in prison,
- 48:07and then now they're getting on a court system that these people are coming up
- 48:12before to appeal these cases, they're coming up for parole, and then y'all
- 48:15are denying in parole. Y'all are giving them set off after set off after
- 48:20set off, after they have done everything that you've asked them to do,
- 48:24and then not only that, you are taking away a lot of other programs
- 48:28that will help them get out and be productive citizens. And then we talk
- 48:34about this latest lockdown where they say drugs are a problem and all of this.
- 48:37How are their drugs getting in there? Because these are principals, these
- 48:40people are locked down, they can't do nothing. So it goes back to
- 48:45the corruption and how y'all have affected these people. Y'all is sad, and
- 48:53we need to wake up. What is your plea to the people on today?
- 49:01What is your plea to the people on today? How can they help
- 49:05you? How? How? How? How can how if there's someone listening,
- 49:08they have the authority, have the power, have the resources that that
- 49:13could help with your situation, that could help with any situation that that has
- 49:19caused someone to be wrongfully or overly incarcerated. How can reach how can you
- 49:22reach them today? What would you say to them that that would touch their
- 49:27hearts, that they would want to do something? What I would what I
- 49:30would have to say is that I would respect, would that they would they
- 49:37would be mindful and about things being done here and there all she would just
- 50:00want to look at this and that has to do with what the laws that's
- 50:07supposed to do. What I can do. But the thing is, I
- 50:12mean, uh, it's it's a bus I mean, you know, when
- 50:17you have a fortune, prove the case. And if they're saying just staying
- 50:24its time, uh don't you know? And so what I'm asking is that
- 50:31if there's some disturbs out there that that here in these cakes, that to
- 50:37to help us, you know what I'm saying, to try to get be
- 50:40you know tasici that and you know, help us to bring these cakes to
- 50:49the point and be heard and kind of that's that's what a problem you know
- 50:58technique? Right, Okay, that's all. That's all that well. I
- 51:15definitely again, I thank you for coming on and sharing with us and allowing
- 51:22me to share your story. If you are out there and you can assist
- 51:27in any way, you may be a paralegalor you may be a lawyer,
- 51:30you may know of an organization or anything that could help these individuals. I
- 51:37tell you, if one case can be overturned, they're gonna have to look
- 51:42at some more of these cases. So I won't stop until there's justice and
- 51:47and and in this unjustice system, because that's exactly what is happening. You
- 51:52know, we are we are taught at a young age that we are to
- 51:58put our trust into the justice system that it works. And over and over
- 52:02again, we have seen case at the case after case across these US across
- 52:08the US where it is not it is not, it is not true.
- 52:13These people trust in the judicial system, trust that you're gonna do right,
- 52:17that the laws are gonna be up hell, and that they're they're gonna do
- 52:22right. And they're not. But now it's time for people to be held
- 52:25accountable, and if that means outside forces need to come in in a fresh
- 52:32eye, a fresh ear, someone that has known they have known, no
- 52:37for or against, they have nothing to do with the situation, so there's
- 52:43a a openness to their eyes and their ears, so they're not they're not
- 52:49biased. They they don't win or lose. So that's that's what it's gonna
- 52:53take. And I'm I'm begging the citizens of Texas to stand up and allow
- 53:00your voice to be heard. If you won't change, you have to be
- 53:04that change. So I'll plead with you on tonight, y'all stand up for
- 53:07those that don't have anyone on the outside standing up for them. Because if
- 53:14y'all have heard on this show that there's a lot of people that are incarcerated
- 53:17that are not even from the state of Texas. So they're in this fight
- 53:22alone because they don't have anyone they're in Texas fighting for them, and y'all,
- 53:28it's hard. It's hard when you have no one on the outside that
- 53:34will go to back for you. So I want to encourage the citizens of
- 53:37Texas, y'all go vote in these local elections and make sure that y'all have
- 53:42the right people in place, the people that care about the citizens, the
- 53:45people that care about your well in, the people that are gonna protect your
- 53:49rights. That's gonna protect your rights. Now that's the most important thing.
- 53:54But I want to thank you for stopping by and sharing with us on tonight.
- 53:58I want to thank those listeners that are tuned in. I tell you,
- 54:00if you have been blessed by anything that you have heard on the show
- 54:04tonight, I want you to share it across your circle of influence, shared
- 54:08with a friend, invite someone to tune in. But most importantly, make

- 54:36and what we have going on with these inmates and TDCJ. So again,
- 54:40mister Rowland, I want to thank you for stopping by. You know that
