- 1:16Speaker 1: through his philmography.
- 1:17Speaker 2: No video.
- 1:18Speaker 1: So although he killed in Mulan and Iconic, he might
- 1:24Speaker 1: be the greatest comedic voice actor ever. Yeah, movie wise,
- 1:28Speaker 1: but I mean like a person who not like made
- 1:31Speaker 1: a career voice acting. I mean like movie star who
- 1:33Speaker 1: did who did him? And Robin Williams mhm mm hmm.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Genie he was Uh was he Flubber Daddy and Fri
- 1:45Speaker 1: and Gully? Oh he was?
- 1:48Speaker 2: He did voice working something else too. It wasn't just
- 1:51Speaker 2: the genie, I don't know. It was best Robin.
- 1:53Speaker 1: We could do so too. He dipped out of comedy too,
- 1:57Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 1:58Speaker 2: All right, his first movie movie forty eight hours. God,
- 2:02Speaker 2: that's the.
- 2:07Speaker 3: God.
- 2:08Speaker 1: And it wasn't messing around this movie ever. Everybody else's
- 2:12Speaker 1: beginning was just like this saw Once Magin.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You look at you look at Jim Carrey's mimography Once Midden,
- 2:20Speaker 2: The Deadpool, Earth Girls are easy.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Forty eight hours out the gate.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Forty eight hours out the gate. So it's in the
- 2:28Speaker 2: conversation Jesus conversation.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Oh for sure. All right, just watch that we was
- 2:33Speaker 1: talking about we was researching Buddy Cop. I had forgotten
- 2:36Speaker 1: how good it was.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Man, it's a good time.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Branda loved him in that.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he called that story. He told he got the
- 2:44Speaker 2: best stories. Man. You need to go on the stories.
- 2:46Speaker 2: If you don't want to do stand up doing one
- 2:48Speaker 2: man show us, just tell us the stories. Eddie so funny, man, God.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 2:55Speaker 2: A trading places. This top five gonna be tough.
- 3:02Speaker 1: To I love trading places. It's Billy Ray Vallen Ray Valentine.
- 3:09Speaker 1: He had the no legs thing't going They're in Mortimer
- 3:13Speaker 1: and Randolph aren't coming.
- 3:14Speaker 2: To Randolf Randall.
- 3:16Speaker 1: They're coming to America.
- 3:17Speaker 2: We're bad.
- 3:18Speaker 1: He kicked it off, kicked it off.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Second movie, dang, best defense is the movie They just
- 3:24Speaker 2: threw him in because the movie sucked, and they was like, yo, Anie,
- 3:28Speaker 2: Murphy's hot. Can you just be in this movie? He's
- 3:31Speaker 2: in it after the fact.
- 3:32Speaker 1: What do you mean after the fact.
- 3:33Speaker 2: They shot his scenes after the movie done, just to
- 3:37Speaker 2: save the shitty movie. They don't know. I didn't They
- 3:43Speaker 2: paid him one million dollars just to be in this movie.
- 3:46Speaker 2: That already yeah, it was with Dudley Moore, So that
- 3:51Speaker 2: doesn't really count But this out of here, Beverly Hills.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Cop Man, this he here for the first five movies,
- 3:59Speaker 1: who even can compete with this? Axe?
- 4:06Speaker 2: Fully, that's the third movie for real?
- 4:09Speaker 1: In the conversation for sure.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Okay, the Golden Child.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, we're not even out of the eighties.
- 4:19Speaker 1: No we still we ain't got the nutty Professor.
- 4:22Speaker 2: No, we're just getting started.
- 4:24Speaker 1: The Child was a girl, by the way.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yes, I remember saying I know, Old Child. I don't
- 4:35Speaker 2: think it's making the top five though.
- 4:38Speaker 1: No, it's probably gonna get top five. I gotta be
- 4:39Speaker 1: a conversation though actually maybe not.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It's not getting in there just because.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Two step Sorry Golden Child.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Gold Child's out. Okay, Beverly Hills cop too.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Also good.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I think it's better than the first.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I agree with you, and I watched them back to
- 4:55Speaker 1: back on the same day.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It's in the conversation. Yeah, all right, we including Eddie
- 5:00Speaker 2: Murphy Raw even though it was a concert film, So
- 5:02Speaker 2: all right.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Raw, we will be here all day if we got
- 5:05Speaker 1: to include Ron Delirious.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Well Delirious wasn't released theatrically, that was it? Nah,
- 5:11Speaker 2: that was a HBO.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Joint ah, Heart couldn't catch that even without inflation. That's
- 5:17Speaker 1: no disrespect to Kevin Hart.
- 5:19Speaker 2: It made fifty million dollars in eighty seven.
- 5:21Speaker 1: That's just like, man, what are you talking about?
- 5:24Speaker 2: The stand up?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Do you understand?
- 5:25Speaker 2: Like and Richard Pryme's Live on the Sunset, Stripp did
- 5:30Speaker 2: thirty something back in the super early eighties. Anyway, let's
- 5:35Speaker 2: neither hit the right Harlem Knights in the conversation. My god,
- 5:41Speaker 2: So we didn't coming to America before this and then
- 5:43Speaker 2: followed the level of Harlem Knights. Okay, another forty eight
- 5:48Speaker 2: hours now now it's out.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I like it another, I like it too. But we
- 5:55Speaker 1: got too much going We got.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Too much going on Boomerang, Oh my god, what can't
- 6:00Speaker 2: do this?
- 6:01Speaker 1: What are we gonna do?
- 6:02Speaker 2: We gotta we gotta do this. We gotta structure it
- 6:06Speaker 2: of real nice Oh my god, we gotta structure of
- 6:09Speaker 2: real noise. So Boomerang is in the county.
- 6:11Speaker 1: We already have two. We are saying coming to America
- 6:14Speaker 1: in life are for sure? So all we were talking
- 6:17Speaker 1: about all these.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Movies three yeah, we only got three left, because there's
- 6:20Speaker 2: no way coming to America. Might not even make it
- 6:25Speaker 2: if we're being real. You want to be like the
- 6:27Speaker 2: kids say, keep real, I'm real. Life life is back in,
- 6:34Speaker 2: but the competition is still because.
- 6:37Speaker 1: We ain't even got none of his dramatic stuff for real.
- 6:39Speaker 2: So Boomerang is right there in the conversation. Now, now
- 6:44Speaker 2: we got we got about seven years of Oh he
- 6:47Speaker 2: got mad stinkers as easy. The stinguish gentleman is out.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Get it, okay, Beverly Hills three is big out the
- 6:54Speaker 2: hell and the Netflix or Amazon Prime one out. Uh
- 7:00Speaker 2: that fleets. Vampire and Brooklyn is out. I don't care
- 7:04Speaker 2: what y'all say. I don't want to look over here
- 7:06Speaker 2: and see it. Vampire and Brooklyn is out, lover, it's
- 7:11Speaker 2: not even in the conversation Vampire movies.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You don't even want to hear it.
- 7:16Speaker 2: It's not top ten. Eddie Murphy, stop bringing this ship up.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Wait till we get the technical difficulties back on track.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I'm waiting. Oh my god, now we're back. Vampire and
- 7:42Speaker 2: Brooklyn is not making it. There's too many flaws in
- 7:47Speaker 2: that movie. I'm tired of y'all bringing it to the table.
- 7:50Speaker 2: It's a guilty pleasure. I'm not trying to hear none
- 7:54Speaker 2: of it. Vampire and Brooklyn is not making the.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Cut feelings about Vampire and Brooklyn.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Hey, man, sick of y'all this gay moments. That's it.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It was just cool to see black people with vampire.
- 8:07Speaker 1: It was cool.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, blacks vampires. All right, Now we got a
- 8:10Speaker 2: new black vampire movie and get this ship out of there.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Once Wesley Snipe showed up as Blade, should have just
- 8:17Speaker 2: thrown Vampire and Brooklyn out the window. Sick of y'all, man,
- 8:23Speaker 2: the nutty professors in the conversation man, dang man, nutty
- 8:29Speaker 2: professors in the in there. Okay, Metro is out. I
- 8:34Speaker 2: like Metro, but it's out. Doctor Doolittle is out. It's
- 8:38Speaker 2: not as funny as another professor. No, no, he was
- 8:41Speaker 2: like the animals. Y'all watch y'at Doctor Doulittle's out. Holy
- 8:46Speaker 2: man is big out.
- 8:47Speaker 1: That's one of the worst.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but now he came back with life. Okay, we
- 8:53Speaker 2: already discussed, like both fingers slept on. I like both
- 8:57Speaker 2: both fingers slept on.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I wouldn't argue this weren't Betty right.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Now, it's a Steve Martin.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Oh you know what I'm thinking of.
- 9:05Speaker 3: What you're thinking?
- 9:06Speaker 1: What with Maya Man the song Mayan did.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Take me there? I want to go there.
- 9:15Speaker 1: No, No, Ghetto Superstar, Ghetto Superstar. What movie is that?
- 9:22Speaker 2: Oh? That's all bullworst work. Okay, got you all right,
- 9:26Speaker 2: So both fingers end the discussion.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Man, Okay, it ain't gonna be three movies.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Ain't gonna be gonna squeeze it. Not the Professor too
- 9:38Speaker 2: out of here, dirty waterer.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I hated that part of that movie.

- 9:46Speaker 1: Doolittle too. No, man, shut up, animals.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Showtime out of here.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I don't know what that is.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Let's move with him and Robert de Niro. He was
- 9:55Speaker 2: a colleagues filming like a reality show cop type of
- 9:58Speaker 2: Bobby Showtime. Time is out, Pluto is out.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Now we're finna be in this time. Yeah, because I know, uh,
- 10:07Speaker 1: meet Davis on the way coming up, and Daddy Daycare
- 10:11Speaker 1: on the way there you go, stinking spies out, Daddy Daycare,
- 10:17Speaker 1: hate kids, the Haunted Mansion. Eddie was getting paid. But man,
- 10:22Speaker 1: we understood dream Girls. Now dream Girls is? I still
- 10:27Speaker 1: believe I have not forgiven Alan Arkins for winning the Oscar.
- 10:30Speaker 1: He got Eddie Murphy's Oscar in his house right now, Yes,
- 10:35Speaker 1: then go get it. Respect Alan, no disrespect, And I
- 10:42Speaker 1: felt like that for me, gotta be in the conversation.
- 10:50Speaker 1: He dream girls and dream girls and he was singing.
- 10:53Speaker 2: He was when when when he was about to shoot up,
- 10:57Speaker 2: and they was like, come on man, he was like.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It was like, all right, he's like, all these drugs

- 14:35Speaker 4: end of my God, Hungry for the Thirsty for the Distant.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Okay, mister Church was good, but it's out. Dolomite is
- 14:53Speaker 2: my name.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I like that movie.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I like it.
- 14:57Speaker 1: It's not gonna be top five. No, it's not in it,
- 14:59Speaker 1: but he was.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I enjoyed it. Coming to America. Oh, come on, man
- 15:04Speaker 2: absolutely out hated it. You people, Candy Can Lane.
- 15:12Speaker 1: It wasn't that bad for a Christmas movie. Christmas movies
- 15:15Speaker 1: are ready at a different scale than regular movies. But
- 15:17Speaker 1: it's not so far.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Beverly Hills Cop Axual f Out, The Pickup Out, Okay.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Pick Up is the new Amazon movie.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I watched it when I went to visit my fan.
- 15:30Speaker 3: It was cool, it was cool.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I fell asleep on the very end. I was on
- 15:33Speaker 2: that couch, that was on that cach What we got.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Leah got forty eight hours trading places, Beverly Hills Cop,
- 15:42Speaker 5: Beverly Hills Cop two, Harlem Knights, Boomerang, The Nutty Professor,
- 15:47Speaker 5: and Dreamgirls.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So what do you want to just get to the
- 15:50Speaker 1: argument first? What are you going slip up and say
- 15:54Speaker 1: dream Girls is out? Come?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Dream Girls is out? Man, It's just too much hot
- 16:05Speaker 2: ship left. Man, it's just too much hot ship left.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Oh my god, you you it's like you going my
- 16:13Speaker 1: mind to be like what Cam is gonna go for?
- 16:14Speaker 1: I'm dream Girls is an Oscar nom We both agree
- 16:20Speaker 1: that he should have won the Oscar for sure shows
- 16:23Speaker 1: his range, supporting role, supporting role. You you would be
- 16:26Speaker 1: good for a supporting.
- 16:28Speaker 2: This is fine a support and he was big supporting
- 16:31Speaker 2: role in that.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it was what so you mean Bill, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce,
- 16:38Speaker 1: Jamie Ben, probably Eddie.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Then you're gonna put on even Nika Rose before him
- 16:45Speaker 2: in terms of screen time, not even like promotional wise.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Oh well yeah, they got it, like and Eddie Murphy.
- 16:51Speaker 2: He was like and Eddie Murphy.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I don't think Nonie Rose was even big at that time.
- 16:57Speaker 1: He was Jennifer. I mean, Jennifer Hudson had American.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Uh, American, but that's what got her big.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that.
- 17:04Speaker 2: But it is just too much heat, man, that's still
- 17:06Speaker 2: left on the table for for dream Girls to beat
- 17:09Speaker 2: any any of these joints.
- 17:10Speaker 1: The building is Jamie Fox, Beyonce Knows, and Eddie Murphy
- 17:13Speaker 1: introducing Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson. So this is the
- 17:17Speaker 1: old flying that's like, Yeah, they threw into the bottle.
- 17:22Speaker 1: That's not they went through. They had heard of everything
- 17:27Speaker 1: on the damn. This is what happens about the Internet.
- 17:29Speaker 1: You can't see the you can't see.
- 17:30Speaker 2: The real time. I can't see the real but in
- 17:32Speaker 2: real time I remember in real time. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 17:35Speaker 2: Jennifer Hudson, she wasn't the name. It was Jamie beyond Eddie. Yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 2: for su dream Girls ain't out, man, dream Girls out
- 17:43Speaker 2: all right? Will will well? All right? So can you
- 17:46Speaker 2: put dream Girls ahead of the nutty professor? Can you
- 17:49Speaker 2: put it ahead of Harlem Knights? Can you put it
- 17:52Speaker 2: ahead of Trading places for forty eight hours? Can you
- 17:55Speaker 2: put it ahead of Beverly Hills coup one of two? No,
- 17:58Speaker 2: none of it whatsoever? And all these movies I just named.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Eddie is the face.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I kid him. You don't like when people it ain't
- 18:17Speaker 1: just their movie.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Man, you're gonna sit there and say dream Girls is
- 18:20Speaker 2: better than Boomerang. You're gonna sit there and say it
- 18:25Speaker 2: with a straight face.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Fuck. Boomerang is on top of too.
- 18:32Speaker 2: But Eddie is the main piece, Eddie in every scene
- 18:36Speaker 2: in that mud.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Let's just put it on the side.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Dream Girls is out from the side.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Why can't it be side for what? For?
- 18:43Speaker 3: Just?
- 18:44Speaker 1: I can think dream Girls is not making Put it
- 18:47Speaker 1: on the side for now. Let me think of an argument.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Oh man, nothing, Professor's going in the top five. It's
- 19:01Speaker 2: got to be it. Nutting professor, nuhting, Professor's got to.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Be right now if if we say that we have
- 19:06Speaker 1: life coming to America, a nutting professor.
- 19:09Speaker 2: And life hanging on by a three, life is hanging
- 19:12Speaker 2: on by a thread.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Why so now what you're talking crazy? Hold on, hold on,
- 19:18Speaker 1: let me get a mid man my breakfast. You don't
- 19:21Speaker 1: be eating your breath.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Don't be like I got gum, I stay with something
- 19:25Speaker 2: in my mouth. Yeah, it's a right here, you having
- 19:29Speaker 2: be eating Nah, I just I just like for my
- 19:31Speaker 2: breath to be fresh, even if it's just me home alone.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Man, this is now, oh not.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Now, y'all. What I'm saying here, here's why I got
- 19:50Speaker 2: life hanging on by a thread. I think I want
- 19:53Speaker 2: life in there. But it's just going up against it's
- 19:58Speaker 2: going up against Boomerang, It's going up against the Beverly Hills.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Cap one and two is going against the nutty professors,
- 20:03Speaker 2: going against So we got a lot of stuff to
- 20:05Speaker 2: fill in. But I feel like I'm a fight for
- 20:09Speaker 2: life though life is in. I'm a fight for life. Okay,
- 20:14Speaker 2: So what was we saying?
- 20:18Speaker 1: You was arguing why dream Girls is out because you
- 20:20Speaker 1: don't love black women. You're saying like something because so
- 20:23Speaker 1: many black black women are in.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Oh, the nutting professor. The nutting Professor is in because
- 20:29Speaker 2: of what Eddie was able to do as an actor
- 20:32Speaker 2: and as a comedic actor.
- 20:33Speaker 1: You got to have enough the sheer weight of like
- 20:36Speaker 1: if you think he is the ensemble, he is the
- 20:41Speaker 1: nsengb He I sat there and thought, how how how
- 20:47Speaker 1: could he just time wise alone? That is not obviously
- 20:55Speaker 1: Eddie Murphy. That is Eddie Murphy as Sherman clumb right.
- 20:59Speaker 1: That it's his mom who is different than him, his
- 21:03Speaker 1: dad who's different from him, and different from his mom,
- 21:06Speaker 1: his grandma. Yes, like that, those are people. Those are
- 21:11Speaker 1: different people, all distinct people with their own points of
- 21:15Speaker 1: view on tics. And then he's buddy as well.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Also somebody that is just drastically different. And that's just
- 21:23Speaker 2: like all in one piece, one piece. They're sitting at
- 21:27Speaker 2: the table together, distinct personalities and I'm fully believing, like
- 21:33Speaker 2: these are different.
- 21:34Speaker 1: People having relations.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Hercules, hercules, you forget, you forget, that's him you he did,
- 21:42Speaker 2: he did so good. I fully believe that that was
- 21:45Speaker 2: Sherman's mama, that was his dad.
- 21:49Speaker 1: His mom was proud of him. The ground was nasty.
- 21:51Speaker 2: She was just so supportive of every family member.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Oh look at him.
- 21:56Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. That type of energy, the
- 21:59Speaker 2: creepy old yes, and Sherman's just Sherman's energy, the way
- 22:04Speaker 2: he was fully realized. God, nice guy.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Just you've known the Sherman Clinton for sure. He's a
- 22:12Speaker 1: professor in.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Your root for him. You want him to get the.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Girl and Jana thinking, boy, who.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Man, you gotta I ain't gonna argue with you.
- 22:25Speaker 1: That might be number one.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I wouldn't even argue that.
- 22:28Speaker 1: If you're just based on the if you watch all
- 22:31Speaker 1: the episodes up, based on the criteria we set up,
- 22:33Speaker 1: if you got to say this is you know, he
- 22:36Speaker 1: did a lot of that. In Coming to America not
- 22:38Speaker 1: as much, but.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I got I gotta get coming Coming to America the
- 22:41Speaker 2: edge because the ensemble and Coming to America was stronger
- 22:44Speaker 2: than another professor ensemble.
- 22:46Speaker 1: The problem is Coming to America for me, the last
- 22:49Speaker 1: fifteen twenty it kind of falls off the cliff. Comedically,
- 22:54Speaker 1: they keep the story going, which a lot of comedies
- 22:57Speaker 1: fumble the They just be like, man, all right, y'all,
- 23:01Speaker 1: but they seem like they just stopped telling jokes for
- 23:03Speaker 1: the last fifteen minutes. That was the last joke the
- 23:08Speaker 1: trade really a prince, I marry you. But yeah, it
- 23:14Speaker 1: didn't fall off so bad that it's just like this
- 23:16Speaker 1: movie's not good. Okay, So that means we got three
- 23:19Speaker 1: you got three in.
- 23:22Speaker 2: So we got we got room for two more on
- 23:24Speaker 2: the ship.
- 23:27Speaker 1: See, I feel like you're gonna come for trading places,
- 23:31Speaker 1: and Trading Place is a dark horse, lovely movie. And
- 23:35Speaker 1: you're gonna go action Beverly. He is forty eight hours,
- 23:38Speaker 1: Guns and God Chases Tony Baker. This is what I like.
- 23:41Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what keV likes. And I'm gona come
- 23:43Speaker 1: with good arguments and make camp questions himself as.
- 23:45Speaker 2: An arguler fight for trading places.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I just love it. Man, you we got okay, so
- 23:52Speaker 1: you got I love It's Fish out of Water, which
- 23:56Speaker 1: I tend to like those movies from where Billy Ray
- 23:59Speaker 1: Valentine's darts and where he ends. Great movie funny Through
- 24:04Speaker 1: taught you about the stock market, the oranges they buying orange,
- 24:08Speaker 1: future pork bellies and oranges. Now what I will say.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Is this age will in terms of tone, Yeah yeah,
- 24:21Speaker 2: come on, and neither did Rush Hour talking about I'm
- 24:25Speaker 2: just saying I went back and watching Rush who hey, gee,
- 24:31Speaker 2: we was We thought this was hilarious.
- 24:33Speaker 1: And it was hilarious at the time, but man, y'all,
- 24:36Speaker 1: they got to put a thing in front of it.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Now it's tough.
- 24:38Speaker 1: They'd be like, hey, y'all, hey man, we we kind
- 24:41Speaker 1: of don't do this.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It was a good time when we was doing it, but.
- 24:44Speaker 1: It's kind of like blatantly racist. Even at the time,
- 24:47Speaker 1: we was like, y'all racist and funny, y'all. Uh put
- 24:54Speaker 1: trading places over there in the in the in the mix.
- 24:59Speaker 2: It's still a lie.
- 25:00Speaker 1: It's still alive because if you try to come for life,
- 25:03Speaker 1: I'll take yours. That's what I'm telling you. Now, there's
- 25:08Speaker 1: nothing you can say you try to come for I've
- 25:10Speaker 1: taken yours away, all right, I'm taking yours. I'm gonna
- 25:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna take yours away. So I'm gonna choose my battle.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I'm not I love trying places, but I'm not gonna.
- 25:22Speaker 1: All right, and I dream girls. The only concession I'll
- 25:24Speaker 1: make is it is his performance was great and Oscar worthy,
- 25:30Speaker 1: but it is not a like he has so much
- 25:33Speaker 1: more Eddie Murphy forward for sure, like he got eight
- 25:37Speaker 1: He's eight people.
- 25:37Speaker 2: And that's why I have to get it out of it. Yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying.
- 25:41Speaker 1: So we got coming to America. Uh life, Life, we
- 25:46Speaker 1: still got Harlem Knights. Ensembles was just not gonna ever
- 25:50Speaker 1: be in because Private Ryan's ensemble and that was in
- 25:55Speaker 1: for the White Man.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Life is technically an ensemble, I'm but not really, but no,
- 26:00Speaker 2: it's about them too.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It's about these two guys. The middle is big ensemble,
- 26:06Speaker 1: but the beginning is them too.
- 26:08Speaker 2: But Hall Them Nights ain't an ensemble either because it's
- 26:10Speaker 2: really about Quick and uh, Sugar Ray.
- 26:14Speaker 1: There's hell of niggas in there though.
- 26:15Speaker 2: But then it's hell of the niggas in life.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I feel like it's more in hard them Knights.
- 26:21Speaker 2: It's just Red Fox, Dela Reese, just the regular side people.
- 26:26Speaker 2: No Richard pryor Richard Price. It's about Sugar Ray.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Oh you said that character.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you're quick and they're trying to get shook down.
- 26:34Speaker 1: He's just not in there that much. He's just that
- 26:37Speaker 1: saying was so funny.
- 26:38Speaker 2: But in life you got Rick James. You gotta know
- 26:41Speaker 2: that was Rick James at the time lifting.
- 26:46Speaker 1: But uh, I'm way higher on life than I am
- 26:50Speaker 1: on the other movies.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I love, I love like. I want to keep life
- 26:53Speaker 2: in there. And I'm just you know, Beverly Hills. Oh ship.
- 27:02Speaker 3: H m Hma.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Just three or four, it's four, moving and groove as usual.
- 27:17Speaker 2: So here's the thing. So life is staying.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Life is staying.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Life is staying.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Life gotta stay.
- 27:24Speaker 2: But we gotta get these other two slots. Field. I
- 27:29Speaker 2: want a campaign. He was just a regular law enforcement supporter. No,
- 27:35Speaker 2: it's not blue line, Blue line, Blue Lives Matter.
- 27:38Speaker 1: McGee over here. I know you got a Blue Lives
- 27:40Speaker 1: Matter flag on the back of your truck.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I want a campaign for one of the Beverly Hills
- 27:46Speaker 2: cop movies because.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Of how big it was in Eddie Murphy at the
- 27:50Speaker 1: time in the box office. Is in big big Titanic
- 27:52Speaker 1: gets your Titanic argument.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Axel Foley was just an iconic character. When you think
- 27:59Speaker 2: about a character just in film, Axel Foley's name is
- 28:02Speaker 2: gonna come up.
- 28:06Speaker 1: How much the milloy did they make the movie?
- 28:09Speaker 2: The first one?
- 28:10Speaker 1: Both of them?
- 28:11Speaker 2: Oh, the first one did over two hundred something mill
- 28:14Speaker 2: in nineteen eighty four, eighty five, two hundred million, over
- 28:19Speaker 2: two hundred mill two thirty something. Hold on, I get
- 28:22Speaker 2: I'll give you the exact day. Beverly Hills Cop was
- 28:25Speaker 2: a phenomenon. Beverly Hills Cop did Oh.
- 28:38Speaker 3: B P b pep you.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Be peep?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Do you do? You beep?
- 28:54Speaker 5: You?
- 28:57Speaker 3: Oh?
- 28:57Speaker 2: ESPN messed it up?
- 28:59Speaker 1: Is that what's happening?
- 29:00Speaker 5: Well, yeah, we were trying to do a podcast while
- 29:02Speaker 5: they were here, and it was this was Mell and
- 29:04Speaker 5: Gregg's podcast and a cap screwing up.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Oh, but they were on stream Yard, so I wonder
- 29:11Speaker 2: stream Yard.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Doo doo doo doo doo doo doom doom doom doom
- 29:20Speaker 3: doom doom do doom doom doom doom boo doom doom
- 29:23Speaker 3: doom doo doo do doo doo doo doo doo boot
- 29:26Speaker 3: doo do doo do doo doo doo doo doo doo
- 29:29Speaker 3: doo doo do do do.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Do get an iconic soundtrack? All right? So, Beverly Hills
- 29:33Speaker 2: Cop made two hundred and thirty four million domestically, so
- 29:38Speaker 2: it's at three sixteen worldwide. God Lee and then Beverly
- 29:46Speaker 2: Hills Cop two made two ninety nine worldwide and eighty
- 29:54Speaker 2: seven money, so Axle Foley is six.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Hundred million dollars almost. Yeah, First of all, just two.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Movies without the inflation. So AXL Foley is like iconic
- 30:09Speaker 2: and that's Eddie.
- 30:12Speaker 1: What a checking places make?
- 30:13Speaker 2: Trading Places did like ninety ninety million domestically, so he's.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Well over a billion. Oh yeah, for sure he might
- 30:21Speaker 1: be over.
- 30:22Speaker 2: The multi billions if you add up to total and
- 30:24Speaker 2: animation animation. Yeah, he's like three four five six billion
- 30:28Speaker 2: something like that. It's crazy.
- 30:31Speaker 1: All right, back me up? Where we at?
- 30:32Speaker 5: Leah, So are you adding Beverly Hill?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Not yet?
- 30:36Speaker 5: Okay, forty eight hours, Trading Places, Beverly Hills, Cop one
- 30:40Speaker 5: and two, Harlem Knights, Boomerang and dream Girls is up?
- 30:51Speaker 1: We got life coming to America and not a professor, and.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Yes, we just need two more. What you want to
- 30:57Speaker 2: put in, man, what you want to campaign?
- 31:01Speaker 1: If it were me and you weren't a part of
- 31:03Speaker 1: my life, you weren't a part of my life, it
- 31:07Speaker 1: would be dream Girls and trading Places for just my
- 31:11Speaker 1: personal rewatch. But I'm not going into America. That guy's
- 31:14Speaker 1: box office. I'm just talking about man. I'm sitting down
- 31:17Speaker 1: on pressing play his His dream Girls performance is one
- 31:20Speaker 1: of the best performances first of all, I like when
- 31:23Speaker 1: comedians played dramatic, he was able to do both. It's
- 31:27Speaker 1: not his movie, but it is he's amazing in it.
- 31:32Speaker 1: But what I'm struggling with is when we came into
- 31:36Speaker 1: this my my my points were based off of like
- 31:42Speaker 1: the movies I enjoyed versus Like, I don't necessarily think
- 31:48Speaker 1: dream Girls is his movie or ain't his movie. I'm
- 31:51Speaker 1: just like he was great in dream Girls and he's
- 31:54Speaker 1: great in it, Versus I also.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Enjoyed Very Hills with Cop one of two forty eight hours,
- 32:01Speaker 2: And that's movies that he's the leading, you.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Know point, But as far as rewatching how many times
- 32:09Speaker 1: I've seen them? Also, if I'm being honest, I didn't
- 32:11Speaker 1: watch Beverly Hills Cop one or two or forty eight
- 32:13Speaker 1: hours in real time. Okay, I went back and but
- 32:16Speaker 1: I watched Trading Places in real time, so I was
- 32:19Speaker 1: watching that. I was like, hey, really come in to
- 32:20Speaker 1: American trading places there. He was like, this is crazy.
- 32:23Speaker 1: So those ranked higher on mine because I watched them
- 32:27Speaker 1: way more often. But I was when I saw those,
- 32:30Speaker 1: I was like, saw the Beverly Hills cop in forty
- 32:33Speaker 1: eight hours, I was like, these are and they also
- 32:35Speaker 1: hold up really well for movies that are like in
- 32:37Speaker 1: the eighties, then you're like, man, you gotta watch it.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I was like, man, this movie gonna be and I
- 32:41Speaker 1: was like, dang it. I mean it looks old, but
- 32:42Speaker 1: like everything else is good, it's just like looks old.
- 32:46Speaker 1: And Boomerang also I watched in real time, and I
- 32:50Speaker 1: remember like what that did for black culture. I remember
- 32:52Speaker 1: him going on I think it was maybe Jay Leno
- 32:56Speaker 1: and he was talking about and they were pitching and
- 32:57Speaker 1: it was like, but where's the like, you know what
- 32:59Speaker 1: I'm saying struggle. He was like, there's nothing. It was like, yeah,
- 33:02Speaker 1: but you know what I'm saying, they're black. They was like,
- 33:05Speaker 1: so black people have money. It's like, yeah, come on, man.
- 33:10Speaker 1: So the cultural relevance of that is high.
- 33:13Speaker 3: I want in there.
- 33:15Speaker 1: And that's what I said, and it should be and
- 33:18Speaker 1: therefore I'm right. And I made the case as well,
- 33:20Speaker 1: and I made something to say that was like I
- 33:25Speaker 1: won't boom for movies like you hadn't seen black people.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Everybody was gorgeous. He had a little texturizer going.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:33Speaker 1: John Wederspoon very funny.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Ensemble was amazing in Boomerang.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Ensemble great, but Eddie lead, Yeah, you know, wait, so
- 33:42Speaker 1: that'd before if we did that.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I think Boomerang should be in there.
- 33:48Speaker 3: So we just need one more.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Dream Girls trading places forty eight hours. Dream Girls is
- 33:56Speaker 1: not in, Bennie Murphy said, Eddie Murphy wanted to Girls.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Ain't making the cut.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Man, What is your thing about dream Girls?
- 34:06Speaker 2: It's just that it was as a movie as a whole,
- 34:09Speaker 2: because we gotta we gotta come down to the movie
- 34:11Speaker 2: as a whole. Yeah, it was good. You don't like musicals,
- 34:15Speaker 2: I'm not. I don't mind musicals like that because they
- 34:21Speaker 2: were performative in terms of they're actually giving shows.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Within the movie, like talking to Like all musical right,
- 34:31Speaker 1: I love to like step into the Badside where we
- 34:33Speaker 1: gotta find a way.
- 34:34Speaker 2: If they talking, they having an argument, then they walking
- 34:36Speaker 2: into the street and then it's just ran the homeless
- 34:38Speaker 2: people and they dancing in the newspaper. Man is going
- 34:41Speaker 2: into the choreography, and then it's a person walking their dogs.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Like those type of musicals. I'll be like, Man.
- 34:49Speaker 1: To the Bad Side.
- 34:53Speaker 2: You got a musical about a music group and then
- 34:56Speaker 2: they're doing the shows. I don't mind those at all,
- 34:59Speaker 2: Like records. Yeah, I love ca Yeah, yeah, yeah. And
- 35:01Speaker 2: I'm like, there's some musicals I really love Blues Brothers,
- 35:04Speaker 2: the Wiz. Yeah. Dream Girls is actually one of the
- 35:07Speaker 2: musicals that I did enjoy, but it's stacked up against
- 35:11Speaker 2: greatness and I don't. I don't think dream Girls is great.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I never thought that black women.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Again, I never thought dream Girls was great.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Black women leave, that's what it is. So now black
- 35:21Speaker 1: women can't be great. I never thought it was right
- 35:23Speaker 1: wing Baker conservative Tony Wild baking up some conspiracy theories.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I ever thought it was great, of course because it
- 35:31Speaker 1: was lad by black women. Had to say black women,
- 35:35Speaker 1: I love y'all. Okay, so what would you what would
- 35:38Speaker 1: be your case of for the fifth spot?
- 35:41Speaker 2: Then? Uh, all right, So we got forty eight hours,
- 35:49Speaker 2: we had trading places, we got Beverly Hills, Cap One
- 35:51Speaker 2: and two. That's all. Oh All the Nights.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Hall ofm Nights?
- 35:57Speaker 3: To me?
- 35:59Speaker 2: Is it tad over rated? As a whole?
- 36:02Speaker 1: Clip it out? Okay, let's start a dialogue. How so?
- 36:07Speaker 2: Because I feel like Harlem Knights has fantastic moments, but
- 36:16Speaker 2: overall the film is good. But it's not like that,
- 36:21Speaker 2: Like I feel like life is funnier all the way
- 36:25Speaker 2: throughout this. Oh I agree with that, you know what
- 36:27Speaker 2: I'm saying. Also, you could argue Life it's a tragedy.
- 36:31Speaker 2: It's super sad, it's very sad. It's horrible what happens
- 36:34Speaker 2: to them. But that's that's why I give Life extra
- 36:37Speaker 2: points because in the midst of all the horrible thing
- 36:40Speaker 2: that happened to them, it's still hilarious. And they got
- 36:45Speaker 2: funnier with every time I watched it. Harlem Knights. I
- 36:48Speaker 2: came in with the super high expectation of just like, oh,
- 36:52Speaker 2: this is Eddie and Richard Pryor and Red Fox together,
- 36:55Speaker 2: It's gonna be the funniest shit I've ever seen. And
- 36:57Speaker 2: I saw it. I was like, Yo, they had some
- 36:58Speaker 2: good pockets in there, like the gambling in the beginning,
- 37:02Speaker 2: the fighting the alley, the fighting the alley, you know
- 37:06Speaker 2: what I'm saying, the shootout Quig the crime man, and
- 37:12Speaker 2: it was just a cool not coming home here you Mom,
- 37:15Speaker 2: not the sunshine, you know what I'm saying. Great moments
- 37:18Speaker 2: within the film, but uh tell you see your mom
- 37:23Speaker 2: not come home. But at the end, Hallom Nice is dope.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Hallom Nice as good as hell. But it's there's several
- 37:34Speaker 2: Eddie Murphy movies I would put ahead of it me personally, like,
- 37:42Speaker 2: like Eddie Murphy, the way he was in forty eight
- 37:46Speaker 2: Hours was just hilarious to me. He was hilarious in
- 37:50Speaker 2: forty eight Hours. He was funny and Hall of Knights,
- 37:52Speaker 2: but man, he was he was almost straight. He was
- 37:56Speaker 2: he was cool.
- 37:57Speaker 1: He was like a cool dude, and he was cool
- 37:59Speaker 1: though he was he was cool shit, yeah, because everybody
- 38:01Speaker 1: can't even pull off cool.
- 38:02Speaker 2: He was. I believe, I believed h It was just
- 38:06Speaker 2: the coolest cat this side of the Prohibition. But when
- 38:11Speaker 2: I think about how he was in forty eight Hours,
- 38:14Speaker 2: and I think of how he was and trading places,
- 38:16Speaker 2: It's like yeah, yeah, yeah. And then even even Axl Foley,
- 38:21Speaker 2: the stuff Axle Foley was doing and getting away with
- 38:24Speaker 2: it was just like, Yo, how is he gonna get
- 38:26Speaker 2: out of this? How is he gonna lie his way
- 38:27Speaker 2: into this?
- 38:29Speaker 3: How is he?
- 38:29Speaker 2: Because he was lying, He was hustling everybody in the movie.
- 38:32Speaker 2: He hustled his lieutenant back in Detroit, he was hustling
- 38:35Speaker 2: the cops in Beverly Hills, he was hustling the people
- 38:38Speaker 2: that worked at the hotel he hustled his way into
- 38:40Speaker 2: a hotel stay at a top notch hotel. He went
- 38:44Speaker 2: in there and lied his way into a room in
- 38:47Speaker 2: the five star hotel. He lies to get into the
- 38:50Speaker 2: offices of mister Maitland, who he thinks killed killed his friend. Yea,
- 38:54Speaker 2: every everything Axel Foley was doing was a big hustle,
- 38:57Speaker 2: and so you just like, man, yeah, balcon, you know
- 39:04Speaker 2: what I'm saying. So it was just like, yo, Eddie
- 39:07Speaker 2: Murphy is carrying the ship out of this film.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Somebody said, Beverly Hills cops are die hard. Oh that's
- 39:16Speaker 1: a good point. I'm not mad at it.
- 39:19Speaker 2: And not only that, it was just my dog is
- 39:27Speaker 2: a great so so I would have like a Beverly
- 39:33Speaker 2: Hills cop in front of Harlem Nights or Trading Places.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Was just funny as hell done places.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Man, that whole dynamic between Roy and just like everything
- 39:47Speaker 2: and then it was just it was gritty. It was
- 39:49Speaker 2: just like rough around the edges, offensive on so many levels.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Man, this is really hard.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:03Speaker 1: So we got four left. We got one, I mean
- 40:05Speaker 1: one spot left forty eight hours Beverly Hills cop won
- 40:08Speaker 1: and two Trading Places and Harlem Knights. You're saying Harlem
- 40:11Speaker 1: Knights is out, so down to two Beverly Hill Cops. Oh,
- 40:15Speaker 1: Boom Rings in Boom Ring is in, So two Beverly
- 40:18Speaker 1: Hills Cop forty eight hours and trading places for Eddie
- 40:20Speaker 1: Murphy's fifth film.
- 40:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna takema even though I think Beverly Hills Cop
- 40:23Speaker 2: two is better. I'm gonna take out two and leave.
- 40:25Speaker 1: One because you got the origination of one.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 40:30Speaker 1: So now I got Beverly Hills Cop forty eight hours
- 40:32Speaker 1: in trading places.
- 40:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna take forty Excuse me, I'm gonna take forty
- 40:37Speaker 2: eight hours out because he doesn't show up in that
- 40:41Speaker 2: movie till like forty five minutes.
- 40:43Speaker 1: And this is what Nicky Yeah, Nignalty is the quintessential
- 40:47Speaker 1: off the books bad Cop God. I mean that like
- 40:51Speaker 1: that trope he was he was he was that.
- 40:54Speaker 2: He just didn't give a damn. He's just like I'm
- 40:55Speaker 2: just trying to solve the case. He was racist too.
- 40:58Speaker 1: It was just like he always looks disheveled, keep playing.
- 41:03Speaker 1: It looks like he could have quit that job and
- 41:05Speaker 1: went to the Blue Chips College and coached them. And
- 41:08Speaker 1: that is the same person.
- 41:11Speaker 2: I love that look too.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Yeah, he's just always like he's the guys like alcoholics coffee.
- 41:19Speaker 1: It's my coffee. You don't worry about.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Leave me in the hell along.
- 41:23Speaker 1: See, you're making your own arguments that I should be making.
- 41:27Speaker 1: So now we're down to.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Uh trading place hill cop Man.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Trading place is tone that s okay? First of all?
- 41:42Speaker 1: To me, trading places is funnier than Beverly Hills cop.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not mad at that.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I'm partial to fish out of water movies. So from
- 41:51Speaker 1: where Billy Ray Valentine starts, how funny he is.
- 41:54Speaker 2: As swimming pools right here? What you pulshed the fish
- 41:57Speaker 2: out of water movies? Yeah, you're gonna sit up here
- 42:01Speaker 2: and say Sistag two is better than Sistag one. When
- 42:04Speaker 2: we lose the fish out, I'm gonna do it. You
- 42:07Speaker 2: said we were working to bring it up. You said
- 42:11Speaker 2: we lose the fish out of an element on the
- 42:14Speaker 2: second one, and you like, I'm pushing the fish out
- 42:16Speaker 2: of water. All right, but continue, continue, Continue.
- 42:21Speaker 1: For the record, I've always maintained Sister Act one is
- 42:24Speaker 1: a great film. This better.
- 42:26Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about.
- 42:29Speaker 1: One A one B. Sister Act two is just one
- 42:31Speaker 1: beeh funny for funny. Trading Place is a funnier film.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I agree with the Beverly Hills cop Billy Ray Valentine
- 42:42Speaker 1: in every step poor when they find him, he's hustling,
- 42:45Speaker 1: also hustling. He got the racket when jail.
- 42:50Speaker 2: See when he was in jail talking, yeah.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Did not tell this man the no legs on the
- 42:57Speaker 1: skateboard thing. So then he and then they clean him up,
- 43:01Speaker 1: they take them in and how they're rich. You got
- 43:03Speaker 1: dan Aykroyd going that whole buddy cop man.
- 43:09Speaker 2: He said, y'all ain't cozy, and nobody, you know what
- 43:11Speaker 2: I mean, said, hey, man, I knew he dropped the
- 43:14Speaker 2: F bomb. That was offensive, but he was just like, man, man,
- 43:17Speaker 2: I knew.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Y'all in the eighties tough in his early standard.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I'd be like, oh yeah, tough.
- 43:24Speaker 1: But on top of that, Trading Places lands the plane
- 43:28Speaker 1: as well. Oh yeah, funny is so satisfying, And it's
- 43:33Speaker 1: so satisfying, and it's funny through and through. There was
- 43:38Speaker 1: a time when I was going back and forth. Coming
- 43:39Speaker 1: to America is just funny, and the quotables and the
- 43:41Speaker 1: character and all that suff But it's like rooting in
- 43:43Speaker 1: a real world comedy. Trading Places is up there. If
- 43:47Speaker 1: you asked me if I'm gonna watch a movie or another, like, man,
- 43:49Speaker 1: what' I finna watch Trading Places of Beverly Hills, Cop, Man,
- 43:52Speaker 1: I'm turning Trading Places on time. You sold me.
- 43:56Speaker 2: You sold me on the trade.
- 43:59Speaker 1: I finally got Tony on my side.
- 44:02Speaker 2: You sold me on that one. Yeah, all right, so
- 44:06Speaker 2: we gotta.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Order now, we got ordered up. We gotta come into America.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Life Trading Places Boomerang and Nutty Professor, Yes, like coming
- 44:17Speaker 1: to America probably is that's his magnim opis. Personally, I
- 44:26Speaker 1: would say Life, but I could be sold on Nutting
- 44:28Speaker 1: Professor just because of like the feet that he does
- 44:34Speaker 1: is like you gotta put hardly anybody would even ever
- 44:37Speaker 1: try that. You got a video much less of hour
- 44:40Speaker 1: and a half film, like the acting work to pull
- 44:42Speaker 1: off that different that many different characters. Well, I would say.
- 44:46Speaker 2: That I really sat there and forgot.
- 44:49Speaker 1: It was like Michael B. Jordan's They're Twins like they
- 44:53Speaker 1: could have been. It was that time six plus You
- 44:56Speaker 1: still did it. You didn't lose the comedic timing on it.
- 44:59Speaker 1: That dinner Alone, the Dinner City, you know, I'm like,
- 45:02Speaker 1: this is all him, all him delivering eye line, timing,
- 45:12Speaker 1: love me some creative I don't care. Okay. So third,
- 45:19Speaker 1: we got Boomerang, trading places, and.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Life.
- 45:24Speaker 1: I would say Life.
- 45:27Speaker 2: I'm not mad at I love.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Just a great film. I love life all right. Life
- 45:31Speaker 1: is third.
- 45:31Speaker 2: I love life in real life too. I just won't
- 45:34Speaker 2: say that life is third. So we got trading places
- 45:38Speaker 2: and Boom they can go four. Five to me, I
- 45:43Speaker 2: would go, I would say trading places, Boomerang, Boom fifth, Yeah,
- 45:48Speaker 2: Boomerang fifth, trading places fourth. I wouldn't argue with it
- 45:52Speaker 2: because I laugh harder at trading places than Boomerang. Overall.
- 45:55Speaker 1: For sure, Booming is just a great film, but also
- 46:01Speaker 1: what it represented is what matters a lot to.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Them.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Jokes and boom ring gets us to like our love jones,
- 46:11Speaker 1: our you know what I'm saying.
- 46:13Speaker 2: It changed the vibe of black cinema on the romantic tip,
- 46:17Speaker 2: because you can get different after.
- 46:19Speaker 1: That loving basketball like. It doesn't have to be always like, we.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Ain't always have to be a new hood. You saw
- 46:25Speaker 2: all these movies where black folks were doing well. Let's
- 46:27Speaker 2: focus on the romance.
- 46:28Speaker 1: We can go romance.
- 46:29Speaker 2: You're in exec at.
- 46:30Speaker 1: This play, and it makes sense because you don't see
- 46:33Speaker 1: that you do it all right, God, bless y'all, will
- 46:36Speaker 1: see you next week for Willer, Carol Smith the Second.
- 46:41Speaker 1: It's not Junior,
