- 4:25Speaker 2: of God. We thank you. We give you glory and
- 4:29Speaker 2: praise in Jesus' name. Our quote for today is when
- 4:37Speaker 2: the storm has passed, you won't remember how you survive.
- 4:44Speaker 2: But one thing is certain, when you come out of
- 4:48Speaker 2: a storm, you won't be the same person who walk in.
- 4:54Speaker 2: By Hiraki Moronikan. And today we're going to be coming
- 5:02Speaker 2: from the book of Mark, the fourth chapter, the thirty
- 5:08Speaker 2: seven through the forty one verse, and we will be
- 5:11Speaker 2: coming from Acts. And when you have the word of God,
- 5:16Speaker 2: it reads as thus. And the same day, when the
- 5:21Speaker 2: eve was calm, he said, unto them, let us pass
- 5:27Speaker 2: over onto the other side. And when they had sent
- 5:31Speaker 2: away the multitude, they took him, even as he was
- 5:37Speaker 2: in the ship, and they were also with him other
- 5:43Speaker 2: little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and the waves beat into the ship, so that it
- 5:54Speaker 2: was now full. And he was in the hinder part
- 5:59Speaker 2: of the sheet other ship, asleep on a pillow. And
- 6:04Speaker 2: they awakened him and said, unto him, master carriest thou
- 6:11Speaker 2: not that we perish. And he arose, and he rebuked
- 6:16Speaker 2: the wind and said, unto the sea, peace be still.
- 6:22Speaker 2: And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm,
- 6:26Speaker 2: and he said unto them, why are ye so fearful?
- 6:31Speaker 2: And how is it that ye have no faith? And
- 6:37Speaker 2: they feared exceedingly and said one to another, what men
- 6:42Speaker 2: of man is this that even the winds and the
- 6:46Speaker 2: sea Obeyham and Mark? I mean Acts? And the same day,
- 6:55Speaker 2: when the eve was calm, I read that already. And
- 7:08Speaker 2: then the next is from Acts when we know that
- 7:13Speaker 2: Paul was being taken to the Romans. They'll have trial.
- 7:19Speaker 2: And he said to the sailor, is that it's not
- 7:23Speaker 2: safe to sail now, because this is not sailed in season?
- 7:28Speaker 2: And they didn't listen to him. They said, oh, he's
- 7:31Speaker 2: just a prisoner. We don't have to listen to him.
- 7:34Speaker 2: How many people know that? You don't know who God
- 7:36Speaker 2: might use to send you a message. So they decided
- 7:41Speaker 2: to sail anyway, and they got on the season. The
- 7:44Speaker 2: seeds got rough and a storm came and they were afraid,
- 7:50Speaker 2: and they were about to jump out the boat, and
- 7:54Speaker 2: Paul said, unto them, do not get out the ship.
- 8:01Speaker 2: You have to abide in the ship. If no God
- 8:06Speaker 2: has already told me that no lives will be lost,
- 8:10Speaker 2: but the ship is gonna be messed up. And it
- 8:16Speaker 2: was as Paul said they got shipwrecked and the boat
- 8:21Speaker 2: was in pieces, and some of them made it on
- 8:24Speaker 2: broken pieces. But on tonight, my topic is surviving the
- 8:31Speaker 2: storm if you stay in the boat. Storms are inedible.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Some storms are physical, some storms are emotional, some storms
- 8:44Speaker 2: are financial, and some are spiritual.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 8:52Speaker 2: The truth is that storms don't send an invitation that
- 8:59Speaker 2: I'm on my way. They just arrived. There are some
- 9:04Speaker 2: suns storms that knocked the wind out of you. There's
- 9:08Speaker 2: some storms that you say, why am I going through
- 9:12Speaker 2: this storm? I'm going through storm after the storm, after
- 9:16Speaker 2: the storm after the storm. As soon as I get
- 9:19Speaker 2: out of one storm, there comes another. Huh. The and
- 9:23Speaker 2: mark for the Disciples faced the literal storm, but within
- 9:28Speaker 2: that story is a spiritual blue friend for surviving every
- 9:33Speaker 2: storm we encounter. Storms can happen in the will of God.
- 9:41Speaker 2: The storm came after Jesus gave direction. The Disciples were
- 9:48Speaker 2: not in rebellion, they were not out of order, they
- 9:51Speaker 2: were not outside the will of God. They were exactly
- 9:56Speaker 2: where God told that Jesus told her to be. So
- 10:00Speaker 2: sometimes in life, we're gonna go through some storms and
- 10:03Speaker 2: we're doing exactly what God has told us.
- 10:06Speaker 1: To do.
- 10:07Speaker 2: But yet we find ourself in a storm. Being in
- 10:11Speaker 2: the willow. God does not exempt you from storms. You obey,
- 10:18Speaker 2: and a storm rise you serve, and winds in Greece
- 10:25Speaker 2: you pray and the waves still crash. Storms are not
- 10:30Speaker 2: always punishment. Sometimes they are preparation. Storms will reveal what
- 10:39Speaker 2: is in you. I've been through so many storms in
- 10:43Speaker 2: my life that I stood to still be standing for
- 10:47Speaker 2: Glory be to God. The water did not overtake me.
- 10:51Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus. I did not drown, even
- 10:55Speaker 2: when I had to hold on now to the pieces,
- 10:59Speaker 2: up to little pieces. I held on now because I
- 11:03Speaker 2: knew that my change was about to come. And I
- 11:08Speaker 2: looked to the hills from which cometh my help. All
- 11:13Speaker 2: my help comes from God, and He hides me in
- 11:17Speaker 2: his secret place. Hot Lujah, Glory be to God. The
- 11:22Speaker 2: storm did not create fear. It reveals free fear. Pressure
- 11:28Speaker 2: exposes what comfort conceved. When the water filled the boat,
- 11:34Speaker 2: the disciples cried. The storm revealed their fear, their doubts,
- 11:40Speaker 2: their limited understanding of who was in the boat. Storms
- 11:46Speaker 2: text your theology. Storms test your faith, Storms test your trust.
- 11:53Speaker 2: You don't truly know what you believe until the winds
- 12:00Speaker 2: start blowing. What we be the God. When you in
- 12:04Speaker 2: the midst of a storm, I'm reminded of the children
- 12:09Speaker 2: of Israel. Huh. When they were going across the Red Sea.
- 12:13Speaker 2: When they looked behind them, they saw the army of
- 12:18Speaker 2: the Egyptians. When they looked in front of them, they
- 12:22Speaker 2: saw a sea. God had promised them that he would
- 12:27Speaker 2: deliver them. But they began to be afraid. Now Hollerlujah.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And how Moses said, look behind you, those Egyptians you
- 12:40Speaker 2: see today, you won't see them no more. Sometimes, when
- 12:46Speaker 2: things happen in our life, when all we could do
- 12:50Speaker 2: is stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Now,
- 12:55Speaker 2: when you pride and you prayed, and it's nothing else
- 12:59Speaker 2: that you can do. When the doctors that's giving up
- 13:03Speaker 2: on you in the midst of the storm, the doctor said,
- 13:09Speaker 2: excuse me. The doctor said, you won't get well. It's
- 13:14Speaker 2: nothing else I can do for you. Huh. When the
- 13:17Speaker 2: banker says I can't lend you any money again, When
- 13:22Speaker 2: you fixed in a viction from your house and you
- 13:26Speaker 2: don't know how you're gonna feel, you feed your kids
- 13:31Speaker 2: and then fear her comes upon you. When you try
- 13:35Speaker 2: to figure it out all on your own. The storms
- 13:40Speaker 2: of life. There's some storms that we know her. I
- 13:44Speaker 2: live in New York and this has been a stormy season.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Some storms missed us. They said we're gonna have a
- 13:53Speaker 2: bad storm, but it missed us. But we still went
- 13:57Speaker 2: out and prepared. I don't know why people buy bread
- 14:00Speaker 2: and milk and all this stuff when it's supposed to snow,
- 14:03Speaker 2: but that's what they do. In New York. You can't
- 14:05Speaker 2: find no bread, no milk, no nothing. So we get
- 14:08Speaker 2: prepared for the physical snow. But sometimes we have a
- 14:14Speaker 2: storm that's supposed to be mild. I recall Superstorm Sandy.
- 14:21Speaker 2: While we was in the midst of the storm, it
- 14:24Speaker 2: seemed like the storm was calm, But when we went
- 14:29Speaker 2: outside and looked around, Superstorm Sandy had knocked the wind
- 14:37Speaker 2: out of us. There was no lights in Amityville for
- 14:42Speaker 2: more than seven days. Your food went bad, all restaurants
- 14:48Speaker 2: was closed. We was in a severe storm. We had
- 14:53Speaker 2: to lean and depend on Jesus. Glory be to God
- 15:01Speaker 2: when Jesus is present, even when he's solid. Now, don't
- 15:06Speaker 2: sometimes when you go in through a storm, you can't
- 15:11Speaker 2: hear Jesus. You think that he has forgotten about you.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Worried be to God, halled lujah. Worried be to God.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I feel, I feel hallelujah, like giving God the praise.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Holled lujah. Sometimes the songwriter says, even when we can't
- 15:35Speaker 2: feel him, he's working. He's working it out on our behalf.
- 15:40Speaker 2: If we just give it to Jesus, say and don't
- 15:44Speaker 2: take it back. The storm wasn't meant to kill you,
- 15:50Speaker 2: but the storm was meant to prepare your glory be
- 15:54Speaker 2: to God. Holled luijah. Hallelujah, hallelujah, Yes God, Yes God,
- 16:04Speaker 2: Oh hallelujah. This is powerful. The storm was raging, the
- 16:10Speaker 2: water was entering, the disciples was petnakan, and Jesus was asleep.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Glory be to God. Silence does not equal absence. Just
- 16:22Speaker 2: because you don't hear God talking, he promising his words
- 16:27Speaker 2: that he would never leave us or forsaken. So even
- 16:31Speaker 2: when we don't feel God presence, God is always there,
- 16:37Speaker 2: uh huh. And just because Heaven is quiet does not
- 16:43Speaker 2: mean Heaven is unconcerned. Jesus was in the boat the
- 16:48Speaker 2: entire time. Their seasons. Yes, we go through seasons when
- 16:54Speaker 2: God feels distant, when prayers feel unanswered. Help fills delayed.
- 17:02Speaker 2: But if Jesus is in your boat, you can stay
- 17:07Speaker 2: in the boat, don't get out of the boat. Hallelujah.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Sometimes when we go through storms in life, we want
- 17:17Speaker 2: the storm to hurry up and be over. Glory be
- 17:22Speaker 2: to God. We don't want to go through nothing, hallelujah.
- 17:27Speaker 2: But like the three Hebrew boys, hallelujah. I'm sure they
- 17:32Speaker 2: would have loved it if God had to showed up
- 17:37Speaker 2: before they got to the furthest. But God needed to
- 17:41Speaker 2: show who he was. Glory be to God. Sometimes things
- 17:46Speaker 2: happening to us in life because it's not all about you.
- 17:51Speaker 2: You not a bag of chips, hallelujah. You ain't all that, hallelujah.
- 17:58Speaker 2: But you'll find yourself being the crumbs in the bottom
- 18:02Speaker 2: of the bag. Glory be to God. Don't think too
- 18:06Speaker 2: holly of yourself, don't exhort yourself well anyway. Sometimes God
- 18:12Speaker 2: has to put us through the situation and circumstances where
- 18:17Speaker 2: He can show his power. Glory be to God. I
- 18:22Speaker 2: remember her when I was in the nursing home. Hallelujah.
- 18:26Speaker 2: And for those of you who don't know the story,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and you wonder how why I'm laying down, Glory be
- 18:34Speaker 2: to God. I'm laying down because I was a casualty
- 18:39Speaker 2: of a storm in my life. I can't walk, but
- 18:44Speaker 2: I can still give God the praise. Ah, So of
- 18:48Speaker 2: you bothering her by looking at me laying down, Glory
- 18:54Speaker 2: be to God, then you should be bothering by you
- 18:57Speaker 2: not doing what God told you you to do. That's
- 19:01Speaker 2: why some of your are in the midst of a storm. Ma,
- 19:05Speaker 2: because you're hard headed, you won't be obedient. And the
- 19:09Speaker 2: Word says that obedience is better than secondfice A Glory
- 19:14Speaker 2: be to God. Hollan Louiah, Hey, hey God, huh. So
- 19:20Speaker 2: sometimes you go through something so that Jesus can show
- 19:25Speaker 2: who he is. And as I was saying that, when
- 19:29Speaker 2: I was in the nursing home and my family was
- 19:35Speaker 2: so far away from me, and I got a visitor
- 19:40Speaker 2: once a week, that my daughter you came every week.
- 19:44Speaker 2: So I got a visitor once a week, and one
- 19:48Speaker 2: night hour, in the midnight hour, I was crying out
- 19:52Speaker 2: to God. I said, God, what did I do? Why
- 19:57Speaker 2: is this storm? And God said, you needed to go
- 20:04Speaker 2: through this storm to prepare you for what I got
- 20:08Speaker 2: for you. Eyes have not seen and ears have not heard.
- 20:13Speaker 2: He said, after this, if you thought you was anointing
- 20:18Speaker 2: Ah before this, after this, I'm gonna use you for
- 20:23Speaker 2: my glory. If you just stay in the boat. You
- 20:28Speaker 2: don't try to get out the boat. But if you
- 20:31Speaker 2: just stay in the boat, I will save you. Glory
- 20:35Speaker 2: be to God, hallelujah. I don't know who I'm talking
- 20:40Speaker 2: to on tonight, but God wants somebody to stay in
- 20:45Speaker 2: the boat. I know the rain is hard, I know
- 20:51Speaker 2: the rain is cold, and it is beating down on you.
- 20:55Speaker 2: And you think this storm will never end. But I
- 21:01Speaker 2: stopped by tonight on my way to glory to let
- 21:07Speaker 2: you know that all storms have an exploration date. That
- 21:13Speaker 2: storm has to end now. If it's a financial storm,
- 21:18Speaker 2: God's getting ready, huh, to touch your finances. If it's
- 21:22Speaker 2: a spiritual storm, hold on, God's getting ready to touch you.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Glory be to God. If it's a physical storm, now
- 21:33Speaker 2: in your body, God is getting ready to touch you. Yeah,
- 21:39Speaker 2: the doctors say I have cancer, Glory be to God.
- 21:44Speaker 2: But God is getting ready to take me out this storm.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Glory be to God so that he can get the glory.
- 21:53Speaker 2: No doctor will get the glory. No person will get
- 21:57Speaker 2: the glory. But God has to have his glory. You
- 22:02Speaker 2: gonna go through some things for God to get the glory.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Glory be to God. On tonight, I feel like thanking him.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Thank you Jesus, Thank you for the storm, Thank you
- 22:18Speaker 2: for the rain. Hollerlujah. There are seasons when God feels distant,
- 22:26Speaker 2: prayers feel an incid, and help feel delayed. Oh what
- 22:31Speaker 2: if Jesus in your boat, survival is already guaranteed. Speak
- 22:37Speaker 2: to your storm, hallelujah. Anybody remember that song from a
- 22:44Speaker 2: few years ago. I told my storm. I stood right
- 22:50Speaker 2: in front of my storm, and I told my storm
- 22:54Speaker 2: that death can't shake me. A glory be to God.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Hollered lujah. Yeah, God, I shall live and not die
- 23:05Speaker 2: to see the glory of God. With long life. Will
- 23:10Speaker 2: God satisfy me? I let loujah her. All everything works
- 23:16Speaker 2: together for the good of them that love the Lord.
- 23:22Speaker 2: And I love God more than anything. The songwriter says,
- 23:28Speaker 2: I just want to tell you I love you, huh.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I love you more than anything. I love you more
- 23:35Speaker 2: than my kids. I love you more than my mama.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I love you God in the name of Jesus. And
- 23:43Speaker 2: like job, I'm saying in the midst of my storm.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I'm saying, though you slay me, yet, will I trust you?
- 23:56Speaker 2: Like the three who be Hebrew boys, I was talking
- 24:00Speaker 2: about them earlier, and I said, I'm sure they would
- 24:04Speaker 2: have liked her, uh huh, for God to deliver them
- 24:08Speaker 2: before they made it her to that hot furnace. Ah.
- 24:13Speaker 2: But they said, on their way to the furnace, in
- 24:17Speaker 2: the middle of the furnace, just like some of us
- 24:21Speaker 2: are in the middle of our storm. We gotta tell
- 24:25Speaker 2: the devil that old slew footed enemy that even if
- 24:31Speaker 2: God don't do it, he's still able. He's able, He's able.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Ha Hallelujah, Glory be to God. I survived my storm
- 24:46Speaker 2: by staying in the boat. A lot of times. I
- 24:50Speaker 2: wanted to jump ship. For a lot of times I
- 24:54Speaker 2: wanted to say to swim to show how, for God said,
- 25:00Speaker 2: stay in the boat. I'm not finished with you yet.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I'm reminded of a story. Uh huh. There was a teacup,
- 25:10Speaker 2: and the teacup was in a shop, and the shopkeeper
- 25:18Speaker 2: molded the cup, and the cup said, oh, this is
- 25:24Speaker 2: too much. Are you finished? And then the shopkeeper took
- 25:29Speaker 2: him and put him in the oven, and the he
- 25:33Speaker 2: got hot and he said, it's hot in here, Sir halluji.
- 25:37Speaker 2: He said, you not finished it, hallelujah. And then he
- 25:41Speaker 2: took her some smelly painter and he painted him. And
- 25:46Speaker 2: then he put him in the kill and it was
- 25:48Speaker 2: even hotter than the furness. And he said, I can't
- 25:52Speaker 2: take it no more. And he said, I'm preparing you
- 25:58Speaker 2: and win. The cup looked at itself. Fuck. He was
- 26:02Speaker 2: a beautiful masterpiece. So when you get out of this storm, huh,
- 26:10Speaker 2: you gonna be a beautiful masterpiece. I survived this storm,
- 26:17Speaker 2: and I don't look like what I've been through. And
- 26:21Speaker 2: if God, he's no respective person. If he did it
- 26:26Speaker 2: for me, he can do it for you. But you
- 26:29Speaker 2: gotta stay in the boat no matter what comes, no
- 26:34Speaker 2: matter how high the winds get, no matter how hard
- 26:40Speaker 2: the rain is beating against you, no matter how the
- 26:44Speaker 2: trees are swaying, no matter. You gotta reach when your
- 26:52Speaker 2: rope is almost broke. You gotta reach beyond the bread
- 27:00Speaker 2: and hold on. You can survive any storm in your
- 27:05Speaker 2: life if you stay in the boat. Dear Heavenly Father,
- 27:15Speaker 2: once again, we thank you for your visitation on tonight.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I thank you for the ring, and I thank you
- 27:24Speaker 2: for the storms because they prepared me to do what
- 27:30Speaker 2: you want me to do. I'll say what you want
- 27:33Speaker 2: me to say. I'll go where you want me to go.
- 27:38Speaker 2: In Jesus' name, God, we thank you for Queen Angela
- 27:45Speaker 2: and her visious. God continue to use her, continue to
- 27:51Speaker 2: touch the crew podcast and God, if it's anybody that
- 27:57Speaker 2: don't know you, they don't know if as long as
- 28:01Speaker 2: you're in the boat that they already won. It's like
- 28:05Speaker 2: you're paying a game of chess. You make a move,
