Sitka gaining jobs as resident workforce shrinks
Jobs and wages in Sitka are up this year. That’s according to an economic report presented by the Sitka Economic Development Association last week (9-16-26). While the numbers reflect a booming business economy, other data point to a shrinking workforce, with roughly 40 percent being non-residents.
