That's hospitable.com forward slash town dash halls. Enjoy today's episode. Speaker 4: Hello everyone, Emily here from Hospitables Product Team. I am really excited to welcome you all to today's town hall. We are going to be starting with company and product updates before moving on to a QA from the audience. All right, we'll now bring up our brief Here it is, and we'll toss the mic to PC. ⁓ Speaker 1: Hello everyone, thank you so very much for joining us. Finally it's happening. Welcome to the Verbo Town Hall. This town hall was the better part of a decade in the making, and a lot of people have poured an enormous amount of energy into it. And we've been keeping you updated along the way. Now, today it goes live. We're going to take our time and walk you through the whole integration, what it is, what it changes, and what it means for you. And if you have to drop off at some point, because this is a massive channel, this is gonna be recorded and available on our YouTube channel. And in any case, this is not the last time we'll talk about it. Now, this was a massive endeavor for Hospitable. So massive we needed a new unit. On Friday, we reported that six babies of Hospitable's team were born during the development of this integration. And you can trust Hospitable to be moving fast. That number shared on Friday is already out of date. So today it took seven babies, because June 10th is now also the birthday of a brand new Lennon Zane, 2.6 kilos with excellent timing. So all our congratulations to Paula for the newest addition to her family. That's the best measure of how long we've been at the development of this integration and how much we cared about getting it right while getting it as fast as possible. Now, today we are launching our verbo partner connection, the best way to integrate with verbo for all short term rental operators. We have a packed agenda. This channel is going to be special and we're gonna go through everything we can and we'll take your questions. We'll answer what's happening with Verbo, what's staying the same, what's gonna be different, what is hospitable payments that we've been talking about before, what can you do today, and also in true hospitable fashion, what comes next? But before any of that, there is something happening today. This is a new comprehensive partnership with Verbo. And we're proud of it because we earned it. There are two things in particular that make this integration unlike anything else in the industry. One, we have built this on top of Verbo's newest set of APIs, which most of the industry has not touched yet. That's what allows Hospitable to do a fully self serve onboarding, which simply does not exist anywhere else in this space. That means a faster connection to Verbo with a higher integration quality for our customers. Second, and you've already talked about this before, we are the only company in this industry with its own in-house merchant of record product, not just payments. And we've been running it for direct since 2021. That experience is exactly what Verbo Trusted does with this new integration, and we built all of this experience to one standard. We want to be the best software connected experience on Verbo, period. So we're raising the bar with what it means to be integrated with Verbo for everyone in this industry. Now, to open this new chapter properly, we want to introduce you with someone. Now, Verbo is not an abstraction, ⁓ and behind it are people, and one of them fought to get this over the line for you. Gavin Gray is the global head of connectivity account management at Expedia, which is Verbo's parent company. He's been in this industry for quite some time, and he's been a strong advocate of hospitable for hospitable behind the scenes for years. We're not in the habit of inviting people to those tunnels. Nobody from corporate asked for this. We invited Gavin because we could not do this presentation without him. This integration took years of work from the team at Hospitable, but it also took years of work from the team at Verbo, and Gavin was a tip of the spare. So before anything else, this is a moment, on behalf of all of Hospitable, to thank you, Gavin, and to thank you for to thank your team for advocating for all hospitable hosts. Gavin, the floor is yours. Speaker 8: Yes. Well thanks, Pierre Camille. Can you see me? Perfect. Well, what an entrance and and ⁓ and what a welcome. ⁓ thanks for the kind words. I did fight hard for you guys, as did a number of people here internally. congratulations to all those new parents. ⁓ I can honestly say none of them were my responsibility. Speaker 1: Perfectly, all good. Speaker 4: Yeah. Speaker 8: ⁓ just the connectivity piece, yeah. ⁓ but ⁓ great to be here today and ⁓ thank you to all of your team and ⁓ and wow ⁓ clearly a huge number of your customers ⁓ and great to see all the ⁓ all the different locations ⁓ where you're coming from. So ⁓ I'm coming to you from sunny London this afternoon. ⁓ not quite sunny but ⁓ but from London anyway. And as Pierre Camille said I head up our connectivity account management team. ⁓ we have about a hundred commercial partners that we work with software companies across the industry ⁓ and it's really great to ⁓ to have you as ⁓ as our most recent but ⁓ very special partner. ⁓ I really wanted to be part of today's town hall, ⁓ officially welcoming ⁓ Hospitable to our Verbo ecosystem ⁓ a little bit more formally. Speaker 4: You went. Speaker 8: Before I I I want to ⁓ give a little bit of a reminder about Virgo and what we bring to the vacation rental marketplace. first and foremost, we're just really pleased to be finally fully integrated with Hospitable. ⁓ and I can honestly say that Hospitable, you've been a fantastic partner through the integration process. ⁓ and at all stages you've really met our very stringent technical partner requirements. ⁓ so I think All of you ⁓ out there listening as hospitable customers, you can be really very confident ⁓ about the technical quality ⁓ and the stability of the software that you're using. ⁓ and I know over time ⁓ that will be the same with our new connection. ⁓ and ⁓ you know, soon with this full integration with Verbo, you're gonna you're gonna be able to, you know, fully manage your listings on our site through your Hospitable software, get access to great functionality, ⁓ you know, managing your content and rates, ⁓ availability, messaging, ⁓ etc. through your software. Great bonus. ⁓ next slide, please. ⁓ so ⁓ so I'm sure nearly all of you, and I'm seeing some of the messages ⁓ popping up, are really very aware of the Verbo brand, you know. ⁓ but you can see here on the screen just some quick stats about perhaps the the size and the scale of Verbo. ⁓ and as Pierre Camille mentioned, we come with a lot of benefits about being part of the wider Expedia group, ⁓ huge company in our industry. ⁓ and I think specifically for Virgo. A lot of our customers, our integrated partners, they tell us that the travelers that we bring tend to book earlier, they stay longer, and they spend more than the travelers that they get from most other channels. So we really should be a vital partner as part of your marketing mix. ⁓ I'll touch on the next slide a couple of reasons why we think pursuing Speaker 4: Two Speaker 8: The full integration with Verbo is going to bring a lot of benefits to you all. And I know that you're going to hear more throughout this session. You know, we really think, and we see this with our fully integrated partners, it just really reduces the double booking risk. You know, it enables the availability to be kept in sync really robustly. So travelers are less likely to book dates that are no longer truly open. And we see that our Connected partners through property management systems like Hospitable, they have much lower cancellation rates. Much less than our non integrated properties. And the ability to work within one system, manage your rates of availability, as I was saying, the reservations, all of your operations through Hospitable, your property management system, and spit instead of splitting work across multiple tools. You can manage your content at scale. You can update the listings and content much more efficiently. You know, you're no longer repl relying on on some manual ⁓ processes, perhaps listing by listing maintenance, etcetera. You and your listings are going to go live faster. This modern integration that Pierre Camille mentioned, our most modern ⁓ APIs, those flows really simplify the setup within our ecosystem and they've reduced the effort required to get these live and bookable. And I guess one of the key things is that this enables this integration will enable you to be unlocking all of the verbo features. Speaker 4: ⁓ Speaker 8: That we are constantly bringing out. So this official connectivity, it creates a pathway to adopt additional verbo capabilities over time, like additional promotion types that we have planned to bring out. Product enhancements that we bring out along the way. So I guess I'll finish on my last slide before you get into a little bit more of the detail. I really wanted to say a big thanks to some people at the Hisperable End. Not just Pierre Camille, but Andrew and Sam especially, who have been great advocates for you and all of your businesses to ⁓ to get us to have have us here today and to be able to make at least an introduction for today and to say hello. You know, we really appreciate your partnership and how we're going to take it to the next level. Town halls like this, to me, show just how much Hospitable does for you. And how much it supports you its users and you know very valued customers. And that was one thing that we really loved at Virbo as we were working through our partnership. So now I think I want to hand over to Marina to help take through, take you through some of more of the details. But ⁓ this is just the start from the next part. We're really excited. So thanks for having me here today. Speaker 7: Thank you, Gavin. So if you've been attending our town halls this year, you've been hearing quick updates from me every two weeks. Well, today is the big day. Our verbal partner connection is finally live today. We will shortly be getting into all the little ins and outs about the integration, but before I begin, I want to say something about how we got here. We've been working on this integration for months and months, and it doesn't happen without a real partner on the side. The Verbo team backed us, gave us access to their latest capabilities, and worked together with us to get this right. And honestly, I am super excited. I want to point out that launching Verbo is a huge cross-team effort on our side. So today, you'll be hearing from all the teams that we're working together to make verbal a reality. You'll be hearing from me on the connectivity team. You'll also be hearing from Abby on the Trust Tech team about the amazing payment solution we have. And from Emily on the Mogu team about how verbal works for property managers. So let me guide you through our verbal partner connection. If you're watching this, you're in one of three groups. And here's the exciting part. There's something in this for every single one of you today. Many of you aren't on verbal yet. For you, this is a whole new channel opening up. A chance to get in front of a huge audience of travelers that you're not reaching right now and start earning from it. All of it managed right here in Hospitable. A lot of you are on what we call now the legacy connection. For you, the new integration we will present today is a serious upgrade, faster, more reliable, and with capabilities that you've been asking us for over and over again. Today I'll be guiding you about why making the switch is the right choice for you. And a not so small group of you already upgraded. You joined us for the pilot, the wait list. Thank you. You helped us build this. And even for you, there's a little surprise, something completely new that you haven't seen yet. So, whatever you are, stick with me because today changes things for all of you. Let's talk about the verbal legacy connection. In our conversations with hosts who are using verbal unhospitable, there was a confusion about why are we making a big deal launching verbal? And I understand ⁓ because some of you think you're already on verbal, like why is this a big deal, right? And I understand the confusion, but let me get into details about why what we're launching today is completely different. From the experience that you are used to. Let me name some things you do in a normal week, and I think a few of you are going to go, ⁓ that's me. So a guest's message is you. It will actually take a couple minutes for you to receive the message. Once you hit send, it can take another couple minutes for the message to reach the guest. If that's the case, you're still in the legacy connection today. Then there is the connection itself. You're always a little bit worried about the connection. Is it still connected? Are your messages still flowing? Sometimes it's slow, sometimes it disconnects, and then you have to run to your computer to reconnect it. If that worries part of your day today, then you are in the legacy connection today. And if you were one of the ones writing to us asking, hey, why does my my listing stay partially managed? Why can't I manage my photos, descriptions for verbal? That is also a pretty good indicator that you are in the legacy connection. So if any of this sounds like your week, good news, you're on the legacy connection and today you're getting an upgrade. The Verbal Partner Connection is the brand new integration that we are launching today, and it's not like that at all. In fact, it is not even just a patch or a minor improvement in performance to the legacy connection. This is an integration where our team partnered with Verbo for months to rebuild everything from the ground up. This is built on Verbal's newest technology, and we're one of the Only once a handful of partners in the world who got access to all of it. That's a big deal, and it is very different than anything you've heard before about verbal integrations out there. Everything you can do with Airbnb Booking.com from Hospitable, you can now do with verbal. Setting it up is something that you can do by yourself in a couple minutes, and the flow is really simple. Stick with me that I'll be showing. a little bit later today for those of you who are curious. But first, let me tell you about the users that we have live. So we have more than 500 hosts that are live on this connection today. And I want to take a moment here because these hosts deserve it. Back in January, this number was 15. 15 hosts who said yes before anyone else, who connected the real listings, the real guests, and helped us shape this into what it is today. As the connection proved itself, more hosts joined and Most of them, the big majority of them, just in the last few weeks. And the range of hosts, it's what I really love. We now have hosts who are brand new to hosting, who love that they don't have to learn a whole new platform to run their listings. And we have hosts with over 75 properties who trust this connection to keep growing their business. New hosts, big operators, and everyone in between. And those hosts had so far over 900 reservations. And just keep in mind that most of these hosts, like I think 300 of them, joined in the last few weeks, right? So together, they have taken over 900 reservations for this connection. And let me make this number real for you. One of our earliest hosts. Who has been with us since the beginning of the pilot, he has received over a hundred bookings through it. One host, a hundred bookings. And on the other end, ⁓ a host who joined just three weeks ago with five listings has already 16 bookings in. So whether you've been on it for months or you connected last week, the bookings are coming. And I just checked and we actually reached 1000 right now. I w I thought we were gonna reach by the end of the town hall, but no, we just hit one thousand right now. And all of that adds up to over a million dollars in booking value already flowing through this connection. But here's my favorite part. Inside the million, that our hosts were getting really big bookings. One of them reached out to tell us that she lented a $40,000 booking. One booking, $40,000. That's insane. And One more host I want to mention. ⁓ he's been in the connection for a while now. And today 30% of his bookings come from verbal. Three out of ten bookings. That's not a side channel anymore. That's a pillar of his business. And that's really what this is about. Not just a better connection, but verbal becoming a real serious part of how you earn. And that's what's moving for verbal right now. And honestly, we're just getting started. So now you might be asking, and I also got this question in the chat, who can integrate today? And this is the part that I'm also really excited about because look at this map. We're launching the integration across 44 countries on day one: the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, which I'm personally really happy about because I'm Brazilian. 32 countries across Europe. If you're in Europe, just a little heads up, the Verbo might ask for a VAT registration when you're going through it. But we also have Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and more in the Asia Pacific, and the UAE. We didn't want this to be a US only launch where the rest of the world awaits. So if your properties are in any of those countries, this is for you today. And if your country isn't on the map yet, two things. Nothing changes for you. Your connection keeps working exactly as it does today. And the map is only going to get more pink. When we reach your region, you'll be the first to know. One more note, and this one is for our veterans. If you joined Verbal before 2020, back when it was still called Homeway, your listings are a bit of a special case. They're built on older foundations and moving them over needs extra care. We want to do it right, not fast. So for now, we're going to ask you to just wait a little bit longer. If that's you, here's what you need to know. You don't have to do anything. Your connection keeps working exactly as it does today. And when we're ready for you, and we'll be soon, we reach out for you to join directly. You've been hosting longer than almost anyone, and we're not going to rush your move. We're not also not going to leave you behind. So that's the fine print. And I promise it was worth getting through because the vast majority of you, for you, this is available today. Whether that's upgrading your connection or putting your properties on verbal for the first time. So let's get to the good part. What does this connection actually does for you? And before we build anything, we talk to hosts. We ask what was getting in your way, what are the things that you never want to lose in the integration. And three things came up again and again. So the next few minutes are built around those three things. The things you told us mattered the most. The first one, you told us, it has to be fast, it has to be reliable. And here's what that actually means. In your life. It means you connect once and then you stop thinking about it. No checking if it's still up before you go to bed or before you leave your house. No finding out from a guest that they did not get their check-in instructions because the connection dropped. It also means when you close a date or change your price, that's what verbo shows right away. Not after a really big delay where someone could still book the night, you just blocked. And it also means that when a guest messages you at lunch, your reply is there before they put their phone down. We've sent messages that used to take long to send now arrive in about a second. And we know speed is not everything. Here's what speed actually means. So Meet Will, this is what he told us about the connection. I connected and the speed amazed me. I guess messages and my reply is there a second later that shows up in your reviews, in your whole in how your whole listing looks to guests. And I really love this because it shows the speed is not everything. It's just how the speed like translates into your business. The second thing. You told us, and honestly, this is the one I've been waiting to show you. You told us you want everything in one place. So first, listing creation. You can create now your verbal listings right here in Hospitable and put them live without ever leaving. And I'll let a host tell you what that actually feels like in a second because their version is actually better than mine. Your listing content leaves here too, your photos, your amenities, your descriptions. You add a new photo once and it goes everywhere. Your verbal listings stay as complete and polished as other platform listings because they're being updated at the same time, managed from one place. And your reservations as guests asks you to change your dates, you do it here. If you need to cancel, you can also do it from hospitable. You never have to leave while you're doing to do things. outside of hospitable. So verbal stops being the channel you manage on the side and becomes fully integrated into how you already work. As I told you, let me now show you what that looks like come from a host. So meet Katy. She told me, I've been meaning to put three more places on verbal for ages, but every time I went to do it, I look at how long creating a listing takes and I just never got to do it. Then I connected, did them straight from hospitable. They were live in two minutes. Also meet Tamra. She told me every time I had a change to do a change for a reservation I had to do it in verbal and come back. And it was not even that it was hard, it's just that it kept pulling me out of whatever I was doing. Now I do it directly in hospitable. Next, you told us to respect the way you've built your business and we listened. So we don't limit you. You can connect as many channels as you want. There is no cap. Your money goes where you want it. Each property's payouts can go to its own bank account. However, your structured things for whatever reason, we root around your setup, not the other way around. The point is simple, you've built a business a certain way for good reasons. Your our job is to fit around how you work, not make you change to fit us. And if you're already on direct, basic or premium, here's a nice one. You don't need to set anything up twice. Your verbal payouts work seamlessly with the payout settings that you've already configured in hospitable. It didn't work once and it carries over. So meet Tony. He told me the way I'm set up, every owner's got their own accounts and their own payouts. And that's just non-negotiable for me. That's just how I keep each owner's money separate. I half expected I have to change all that to fit in, but no, it just worked the way I already work. That was a relief, honestly. Now, this is where I've got a little surprise, and I'm so excited because this is a surprise for our pilot hosts. They don't know that we are launching this today. So remember at the start, I said even those of you who already upgraded will get something new today. This is it. You've been asking us for this, and today is the day you're getting them. And the great part is this isn't just for the pilot group. This new functionality. is for everyone who joins the partner connection. So the first one is payment terms. You can now let your guests pay on installments instead of all at once. You set it up here in hospitable and you decide how much is due at booking and when the rest gets collected. And then we handle the rest. This is a major quality of life improvements over our legacy connection where multiple payments that are hard to track ⁓ and it's easy to miss when a guest fails to pay. So we now send reminders for you, we collect the payments automatically, and you can see exactly what's happening the whole time. This isn't just a nice to have. Guests are about 20% more likely to book when they can pay installments. So this can mean a lot more bookings for you. Another thing that I'm really excited about is that you can now set your verbal discounts and promote promotions straight from hospitable. Early booking, last minute, with weekend and monthly coming soon. New listing discount, mobile, and even one key. You just turn them on, you set your numbers, save, and you're done. Like if you can see the early booking one here. Like the rewards guess who book ahead. You just set the percentage and how far ahead you want it to be and save. one thing to know once you're in the partner connection, this is where you manage your discounts now. And we're not stopping a verbal, so the same experience is coming to Airbnb, booking and direct really, really soon. So, discounts and payment terms, they don't carry over when you integrate. So, after integrating, you need to take some time to set them back up. However, the good news is that most things do stay the same for your listings. So the reservations, your messages, you can see them all from Hospitable after integrating. Your photos, your descriptions don't change, all your listing content is going to be kept intact. All of those carry over exactly how you left them before. But some things do change as well. And I see them as great changes. One of them is that we become your source of truth. So editing your listings, your calendar, everything needs to happen completely from hospitable now. You're not going to verbal anymore for editing any of that. And there's another big change. and I'm really excited about it. That is regarding payments because I think we have a really, really, really exciting payment solution. And to talk about that, I'm going to be bringing Abby, who is our product manager who worked on the payment solution, to tell you all about that. Thank you, Marina. So as Marina shared, the way that payments work on the Virgo Partner Connection is a little bit unique from other channels like Airbnb. So let's break that, break that down. ⁓ Starting with how payments work today without the partner connection. So today, Virgo collects payments from your guests as a merchant of record, which means they handle remitting some. Maybe all of your taxes, depending on where you are in the world. And they also handle chargebacks or credit card disputes that come in from your guests. In return, they collect an 8% service fee or commission and deduct that from the payout amount that they sent you. This should all sound very familiar. Now let's talk about how that changes with the partner connection. With the partner connection, the guest experience stays the same, but payments are handled differently. Your guest still books on Virgo, but the partner, which is your property management system, collects the guest credit card information from Virbo and processes the payment via your payment processor. And with any other property management system, that means that you become the merchant of record. So you are responsible for remitting your taxes and handling chargebacks. Since Virbo no longer handles payments, they also collect a smaller commission. So for the majority of you, that will be 5%. But the commission can vary by region, and there are exceptions for legacy Virgo users who are on annual plans. So I'll let Emily cover Verbo commission in more detail later. But that commission will be billed to your credit card. and you will receive your payout from your payment processor net of any payment processing fees. So that's how it works for any other property management system on the partner connection. But as PC shared earlier, hospitable is different. And that's because we are quite experienced as a merchant of record ourselves. ⁓ just this year so far, we've processed over $35 million as a merchant of record for direct premium and guest portal payments like upsells and security deposits. So in order to make this transition as easy as possible for you, if you are in the US, UK, or Australia, you have two options for verbo payment processing. You can choose to use hospitable payments and hospitable will be your merchant of record. Or you can choose to use Stripe. For those of you in the rest of the world, you will use Stripe for Virbo. So for those of you who have a choice, let's understand how both will work. With hospitable payments, as Marina mentioned, you'll connect a bank account. And if you already have a bank account connected today for direct, you'll be able to use that account. We'll then process your guest payments and pay you out one day after check-in. Another distinction is that we'll charge your service fee at payout, not at booking. And that matters if you offer a fully refundable cancellation period. That's because with most processors, you pay payment processing fees even if a payment is refunded. And that adds up. So for example, if a guest cancels a $1,000 booking during a refundable period, you're still going to pay about $30 in processing fees on that reservation, even if they get a full refund. With hospitable payments, if a guest cancels and receives a refund, a full refund, you pay nothing. Hospitable payments also includes chargeback protection. So that means for every chargeback or credit card dispute from a guest, we are going to defend that automatically on your behalf. For fraud-related chargebacks, if we lose the dispute, we'll also cover the costs and we will not pull those funds from you. Hospitable also handles tax collection. And for US hosts, we actually remit sales and lodging taxes on your behalf. We're now registered to remit at least some taxes in all 50 states, and we're working to reach parity with all the places verbo remits for you today. Our account in residence, Brandon, is continuing to add local jurisdiction each month and each week. You'll be able to see the taxes that Hospitable collects for you. along with which of those taxes are remitted for you versus passed through to you in your property pricing. For those of you who use Stripe, you'll also manage your taxes in the same place. Finally, hospitable payments unlocks one more advantage, and that is frictionless upsells. Because we process the verbo reservation payment, ⁓ we actually securely store that payment method on file, which means that verbo guests can purchase upsells seamlessly in the guest portal without re-entering their credit card details. Less friction means better conversion, means you sell and earn more. So that's how hospitable payments works. Let's compare that now to Stripe. With Stripe, you will connect a Stripe account. You can have different Stripe accounts per property just like you can with bank accounts. If you are already on DirectBasic, you'll connect that account. Funds are made are available immediately to you at booking with Stripe, and payouts are sent to you by Stripe. This means You will pay payment processing fees for each payment, and those fees won't be refunded if the guest receives a full refund. You'll also be your own merchant of record, so you'll handle taxes and chargebacks yourself. So how much does this cost? For hospitable payments, you will pay hospitable 3.9%. And this fee will be deducted automatically from your payout before you receive it from hospital. For Stripe, you will pay a fee to Hospitable and we'll pay Stripe's payment processing fees as well. So Stripe fees are typically around 2.9%, which makes the total that you pay for Stripe. 3.9% as well. So the total service fee for both options is effectively the same. Okay, now regardless of the process survey that you choose, we are going to help you get paid and help you manage your verbo guest payments. So we'll do this by automatically sending receipts and payment notifications to your guests. And your guests will be able to access their reservation payment history and download PDF receipts, which are branded with your logo from the guest portal. Finally, I want to briefly touch on what's next for hospitable payments. ⁓ Another unique privilege that we have as the Merchant of Record is that we're able to split payouts between two or more parties. So, for those of you who are on our MOGL plan, who manage or co host properties for others, we're actively working to allow you to actually split your verbo and direct premium reservation payouts. to your owners. So the Mogul team is cur is working to revamp the current commission agreement to become a management agreement where you'll define who receives the payout for each channel and actually split portions of that payout between you and your owner. Your owners will then be able to see their verbo and direct reservations from the owner, reservation payouts from the owner portal. So for those of you who list maybe only on Airbnb today because you rely on Airbnb co-host payouts, this should actually this might actually open Virbo and Direct as new channels for you. And for those of you who manage, ⁓ use our operations product to manage cleaning and maintenance tasks, you'll also be able to split your reservation payouts to your teammates. So that means if you want to send all or a portion of your cleaning fee directly to your cleaner, for example, you'll be able to do that. Now we're going to share more on these features soon. I know there was someone asking for a timeline. We can't share an exact date yet, but this is something that we're actively working on. Hopefully, if you know hospitable, when we say soon, we mean it. ⁓ and we wanted to share now in case that influences the decision that you make when it comes to choosing your payment processor for Virgo. All right, and that's it for Virbo payments. ⁓ for those of you who still feel like you have a ton of questions, like ⁓ how will I get paid? How do I connect to bank accounts? How do I manage my taxes, etc.? ⁓ our support team has a ton of documentation for you in the help center. ⁓ so you can head over there and we'll answer your questions for you. ⁓ and now I'm handing it back over to Marina to talk about how to get started. Hello, thank you Abby. So this is the part you guys have been waiting for. let me just figure out here how to share my screen so that I can actually guide you through getting setup on the new connection. Okay, can you all see my screen? Yes. Okay. So to get started, you're going to come to the channel connection section. You usually find that on the bottom left of your hospitable menu and you're going to click going to click on it and you're going to land here. So there's two ways to start a connection. If you're connecting a brand new account, ⁓ you can click to connect verbal, but if you're on the legacy connection, You're going to see here, I don't have it because I already upgraded, but you're going to see a button here for you to upgrade the connection. So let's get started. So once you click on it, ⁓ let me just do something before I do that. Just one second, sorry. Yes, there you go. Okay, so once you click on it, I'm going to skip a little bit fast because all the benefits here is something that we've been talking about during this presentation, how your payments will work. ⁓ so let me talk you tell you about how the connection works. ⁓ first in the next screens, you're going to go to verbal and ⁓ there's going to be a button for you to click. We're going to redirect you to a place where You can authorize Hospitable to manage your listings. This doesn't mean the integration is complete yet. After that, you're going to return to Hospitable. And then we're going to be importing your listings so that we have all the information. We're going to be reviewing them so that we can recommend you either Hospitable is a merchant record or Stripe, whatever has the best benefit for you. After you accept, Then that's the time where you're fully connected and we really start managing your listings for you. So let's start. First, this is an alert here, just so that you remember that if you have many other accounts under a same verbal account, you need to use the primary account email. So secondary or team member emails won't work for the connection. So you give us the email of the account. If you are just starting to verbal, you can enter the email that you would like to use to log in on verbal. And you give us an account holder name. I'm just going to put my email here. Before you continue, we ask you, are you connecting an existing verbal account? And if so, we ask you to be already logged in to that account, just to make sure that we are connecting to the right. Then this is a time where we give you a link so that you can go to Burble To Do It. And if you're setting this up on behalf of an owner, we also give you a link that you can copy and send to them so that they can set up. So once you click this, what is going to happen on verbal is that first they're going to review a little bit of your information, your address, your phone number, make sure your contact information is up to date. Then they're going to ask you which ⁓ channel manager you're using to manage your listings, and that's when you put hospitable in there. And then they're going to ask you for the credit card we talked about so that they can charge the commissions to. So I'm not going to go through this right now, but once you come back from verbal, then we're going to be importing your properties, your reservations, everything. So this will take like if your account is like only a couple listings, it should take like a minute. Otherwise, it can take like maybe five minutes, shouldn't take long. After that, you're gonna have a screen where you can review all the properties we imported. And if you're already on the legacy connection, then we'll be automatically merging them into the correct property for you. So you don't have to do that. After that, we tell you that your guest messages, ⁓ you can still like use hospitable to send them ⁓ for existing reservations and for new reservations. and we also explain how you manage payouts, cancellations ⁓ for reservations that happen before you connect it to hospitable. So this is where there's a little bit of difference. ⁓ for most of you, that means that you You have to go to verbal to cancel and do alterations for reservations that happen before connecting. If you are on another PMS, then you have to reach out to your previous payment processor, usually Stripe, just to refund the guest in case of a cancellation. But all new reservations, they'll be fully managed by hospitable. The messages, the payments, everything. After that, then we're going to show you all the things we talked about with ABI just now. So this is where you see where we recommend for you. So for me in this account, it's recommending me hospitable as a merchant of record so that I can get the chargeback protection, tax remission, and if you prefer Stripe, you can also click here and switch. And then this is going to set you up with Stripe. I prefer hospitable, so I'm going to set myself like that. And before you proceed, we're going to tell you that your payment terms and discounts start fresh. So make sure you leave time to set them back up. Also, after you accept here, that's when we actually start managing your account. So you can click to accept. And then verbal takes like a couple minutes to process the integration and your listings. But we'll automatically bring all your listings live. Unless there's a certain listing that for some reason you don't want live, you can also let us know. I'm going to bring all my listings live. And then once I click continue, that's it. So this is how you're set up. If you don't have a payout method yet, you can click here and we'll guide you through adding one. If you're already on direct, that works with the setup that you currently have. ⁓ I'm not going to talk about the Yesing Commission is 5% because Emily is gonna come soon, she's gonna talk everything about commission. So let me show you now what you can do. You can go to your properties and let's get a property here that has purple. So here you'll be able to come to your details. And if you want to manage your photos, you see that verbal appears there as one of the channels. So you can manage it the same way you do for RbnB, for booking.com. You can add photos here and we will go to all channels. That's the same for also for your property name, your descriptions, everything. ⁓ will be synced from hospitable to verbal. You can edit everything from hospitable. Discounts is what I was showing you that I was really excited about. This is where you find it. ⁓ I'm showing you because you have to set it up after you connect. So you can come here and you can set them up. We can also see here how it appears. So how the merchandising is on verbal and how it is combined with other discounts. So if it adds with a discount, it means that if you have 15% early booking, it adds with mobile. So if you have 10% on mobile, Means the guest can get 25% discount. Or if its biggest discount wins, then you know that the biggest one is the one that has going to be set. So if you have ⁓ one key that is 20% and a 15% early booking, then that means that the one that is going to be shown to the guest is the 20% on one key. Let me show you where you can set your payment terms. So here you can see your cancellation policy, and I know a lot of you want to align. your cancellation policy with payment terms. So you see them close together. So you can click here and you can set them up. So you can add an installment and say the first one will be 50% and 50% will be collected 30 days ⁓ before check-in. We can also select how much grace period you can give to the guest and that's all configured full from hospitable. There's another thing that I'm really excited about and HS, let me find another property here that doesn't have verbal yet. This one. So if you're creating ⁓ new properties on verbal, you already have them on Airbnb and Booking.com. Creating them on verbal is really just a button. You can click here and we will move over all the information we already have so that you don't have to be pasting it over and over again. You can really get started in a couple minutes. So that's it from me. And with that. I will be handing over to Emily to talk about the commissions that I was talking about. Speaker 4: Cool. Thanks, Marina. Okay, so some of you have been asking for more detailed information on VerboCommission. How exactly is Hospitable reporting that in the reservation financials and further down the line on owner statements? As Marina and Abby have touched on, VerboCommission is handled differently from other channels. So Hospitable needs to treat it differently as well, and we're prepared to do that. Before we really dive in, I want to assure you we'll be sharing help articles along the way. I'm gonna do my very best to be clear and concise, but this is meaty stuff. So if any of it doesn't stick right away, that's okay. You can watch the recording again later on YouTube or scan the QR codes, which will direct you to the relevant help articles if you want to dig deeper at any point. Okay, here's the kind of thing that we're hearing from our community of hosts. Well, my credit card is charged for Virgo Commission, but I normally have my owner's cover host service fees. Or I was in a hurry, so I used my credit card on my owner's verbo account, but they're gonna add theirs soon. Or my owner has their own verbo account, so they put their own credit card on file, but I agreed to cover half of the fees. Or I'm on Virbo's annual fee plan, so I don't pay five percent per booking. The short version is we have got you covered, but you're here for the long version. So first I want to talk about the Verbo Commission. We report this in the host fees category in the reservation financials. So on every single verbo reservation in that right sidebar in the inbox, you'll see two line items under host fees: the hospitable service fee and the verbo commission. Hospitable controls the hospitable service fee and it's deducted from the reservation payout. So we know with absolute certainty how much that is. The Virbo commission, however, is a little different. It's not deducted from the reservation payout. Instead, it's charged by Virgo monthly to the credit card on file for that particular Virgo account. You might have used your own credit card during the self-service onboarding, or you, if you manage for an owner, you might have had them use their own. Or you might have still used your own because you were in a hurry. The commission model can also vary. Most hosts will be on the paper booking model, which is usually 5%. A lucky few are still on their annual fee model, and some jurisdictions pay a different percentage altogether. Now, all of this is fine. We know how to handle any of these scenarios. The challenge is we don't have visibility into which of those scenarios you actually fall under. So what do we do? For everything that we don't know with absolute certainty, we're gonna set some really smart defaults based on the scenarios of the majority of our customers. We're gonna be assuming the following: that you're on a paper booking commission model and are charged 5%. And then we'll ask you to confirm whose credit card is on file with Virgo. If you're on Mogul and are using owner statements, we already know with certainty who's ultimately responsible for the verbo commission because that's defined in your commission agreement on our side, which is what drives owner statements calculations. Now we think these defaults will be accurate most of the time, but if your situation is unique, it is very important that we know about it so that we can keep your reservation financials accurate and if you're on Mogul, continue generating accurate owner statements to pay out your owners. So we will give you the controls to change it and seek your input when we need it. First, we'll talk about how to update Hospitable so that we know what your Virbo commission model and rate are. If you are not paying Virbo 5% per booking, it's time to tune in. This slide is important for you. You can update Hospitable to reflect what your Virgo commission agreement actually is. Now, I want to pause here to make sure one thing is super clear. This is not unfortunately actually changing what Virbo charges you. That's between you and Virgo. We are just giving you the ability to update us so that Hospitable can accurately reflect what's already happening with your Virgo Commission in the financials. You can update us under your properties, select the property in question, go to payments, and select the Virbo Commission tab. There you can update your commission model and rate so that it reflects in Hospitable ⁓ realistically. Okay, next, let's talk about the credit card on file with Virgo. This one is particularly important for our mogul customers. If you're on Mogul or if you want to be on Mogul because you manage on behalf of owners, it's time for you to tune in. This slide is important for you. The next time you navigate to the statements tab under your business, we are going to meet you there. We're going to be listing all of the Virgo partner channels that have been connected since the last time you visited that page so that you can let us know who owns the credit card on file for each Virgo account. You or your owner. Okay, let's recap so far. So we've set some smart defaults, you've been given the opportunity to confirm so that we know with certainty your commission model and rate and who pays it. All that's left is to check who's ultimately responsible for paying that commission and handle any reimbursements that might need to take place. We're going to take care of this part automatically. If you're on our mogul plan and are using owner statements, you've already told us who's responsible for paying the host service fee. Some of you deduct it from your commissionable base, some of you pay it all, some of you have your owner absorb the cost, and some of you split it some other way. Whatever your situation, we've got you covered. If the person who initially paid the verbal commission is not the same as the person that's ultimately responsible, A reimbursement is in order and we'll handle that automatically for you. No action is required from you to make this happen. We'll be creating a transaction to compensate for the verbo commission so that whoever front of the bill is paid back if they're not ultimately responsible for the verbo commission in full. All of this respects your existing reservation commission agreements. Okay. ⁓ that section, like I said, was kind of. Heavy and detailed, so I'm gonna be dropping the relevant harp help articles in the chat. next we'll pass it off to Andrew. Andrew. Speaker 2: Thank you. And I'm gonna I'm gonna basically wrap us up here. ⁓ I think what we hope that you take away from today is that we believe our new partner connection is the best verbal integration for any property management software on the market. Marina shared that we are among only a handful of providers that have integrated Virgo's latest capabilities that unlock an entirely self-service connection experience. For host in the US, UK, Australia, perhaps uniquely among property management software providers. We want to be your merchant of record and take that responsibility off your hands. And I can say even more confidently that uniquely among property management software providers, we remit taxes across the US for many of you. As Abby shared, with a credit card on file, we're going to do an amazing job seamlessly managing your payment terms, upsells, and more. We defend you from chargebacks, we cover the payment processing costs on any refundable cancellations. These are all features that have been developed over years as part of direct premium. A suite of capabilities that are uniquely hospitable. And as Abby teased our next project that will really take this to the next level, split payouts for property managers and owners. We want you to leave this town hall excited. For the 75% of you that are using Virgo through our legacy connection, we're excited for you for you to upgrade to a dramatically better experience. For the nearly 25% of you that are aren't on Virbo yet, now is a great time. If you need any further commencing, I'll leave you with a couple exciting numbers that we ran. As Gavin hinted at the start, Verbo has the highest average booking value of any channel on Hospitable, including Direct. These are the numbers from the last 12 months of bookings across Hospitable. This includes over 500,000 Verbo reservations. We're not new to Virbo. Today's connection is new. So Verbo is two-thirds higher than Airbnb on the average booking value. three times higher, almost three times higher, than booking.com. I was surprised by the next stat how broad the reach of Virbo's impact is for many of you that are already using it. Over 5,000 of you on hospitable already get 20% or more of your business from Virgo. A bunch of people in the chat, I think you're not quite there yet. I want to share the success story is that this is meaningful for a lot of our hosts. And when we looked at hosts that are getting even more than 20%. If we up the the line to 50% of their bookings, I was very surprised to see that over a thousand hosts on Hospitable derive more than 50% of their business from Verbo. So if you're not on Verbo yet, there's no better time than today. We believe it is now trivial for a hospitable host to get listed on Verbo. Marina shared how to do this. You can go into your hospitable properties today and you can easily create new verbo listings. Get them set up, get a new listing discount added, help you get noticed, get booked, and get your first five-star reviews flowing. If you need more help on what was covered today, you can go to YouTube after this and you can rewatch everything we've talked about today. You can go to our hospitable help center, help.hospitable.com, and search for verbo overview or any other topic that you're interested in, and we'll walk you through each step of the way. If you're a property manager with more than 10 listings, You can also reach out to Virbo directly via the email on the screen, and they will help you get onboarded. And if you have more questions and you want to get more help from Hospitable, then tune in same time next week, and we will be doing a verbo, verbo, sorry, power-up workshop. We will have our connectivity product managers and engineers, as well as people from the verbo implementation specialist team in attendance there to dig deep into whatever questions you have. And make sure that we help you get set up. And with that, we end the major content of our town hall. Thank you for staying with us. And we have a couple more events to announce. Speaker 7: Try to be fast so we can jump in with questions. So tomorrow our customer success team is having another workshop for you. The Hidden Revenue Playbook, make more from every guest. ⁓ follow the QR code. I'm gonna also ⁓ add the link in the chat and join. ⁓ this is also happening every Thursday, so keep this on your mind. And next town hall, two weeks from now, same time, same place. ⁓ Join us to hear new product updates. And just one more update on the community. So our first bilaton was very successful, so we decided to open another one. So if you head to bilaton.hospitable.com, you're gonna see it's open. So connect your agents, ⁓ test our hospitable MCP, come up with creative ideas, use cases. and use agents to help you with your business. Submit your stuff and you might win ⁓ up to five hundred dollars in hospitable credits. And we're looking forward to see what you're coming with. Thank you. Speaker 4: Excellent. Okay, we are gonna move on to our QA portion. I know we're a couple minutes over our usual end time, so we might be able to take a couple of questions. We've got one hand raiser already. If you have questions, please raise your hand and I will call on you in the order that your hands are raised. First, we have Speaker 1: Sorry, Emily, j just just before we do that, I I just wanted to say about one thing that I believe we missed to sh to show in ⁓ in the slides, ⁓ about basically tax remittance. So we've achieved a very meaningful milestone, ⁓ which is that we are now registered in all fifty states, ⁓ including DC, ⁓ very recently. So that's all brand new. The the thing I wanted to say is that basically so far, so Brandon, our county's resident, is on our target to basically remit as much taxes as possible. And so 72% today of taxes that are being collected by hospitable can be remitted directly. So you there may be conversation in the chat that may give the impression that it doesn't work for you, asking you to check directly on the documentation because there may be very meaningful coverage. There is a very meaningful coverage already, and that is again on today, June 10th. There are some times where to be eligible with more jurisdictions. ⁓ but basically we are committed on doing the work for a lot more remitted. and yeah there will be plenty of other questions, I'm sure. Thank you very much. Emily, let's go. On Speaker 4: right. First we'll call up Roger to the stage. Roger, please unmute yourself and ask your question. Speaker 1: Hello. Speaker 4: I think we're doing this right when I had a lot to talk. Next we have Caleb. Caleb, please unmute yourself and ask your question. Speaker 1: ⁓ can we help you today? ⁓ Speaker 2: Thank you. ⁓ I think this is all really great. ⁓ one thing I've been trying to figure out while I'm on here is that ⁓ you guys are talking about the five percent Virgo commission being charged to a credit card on file and being billed separately. ⁓ and so I'm trying to I I was like, Well, what credit card is being charged? Cause I didn't know that. I pulled up my ⁓ Speaker 1: I Speaker 2: Statements and reports. First I went to my account settings in Virgo. I don't even have a credit card. Speaker 1: So yeah, Caleb. This is the this is the credit card that you will add as you onboard to ver to to Verbo. So when you connect your account, Verbo will ask will be asking you for a credit card and that is the card ⁓ that you will ⁓ that will be used for for processing. Speaker 2: Saying that currently they charge those commissions separately. You're saying that they own they have to be charged separately once you're on hospitable? Speaker 1: I mean they are taking the money. They just as they process the payments. Yeah, they're they're keeping it from your payout. Yeah, they they are taking it from your payout. ⁓ and basically since we you will ⁓ verbo will no longer be the payment processor, they will be charging that card ⁓ instead to to to to yeah to to put Speaker 2: Is there any opportunity to make those specific to the properties since many of us have our properties in different LLCs and need to pay those commissions from the appropriate property or LLC account? Speaker 4: So today Virbo supports one credit card for the entire account. So if you have one Virgo account that contains listings belonging to multiple owners, we would recommend that you put your own credit card and then owner statements will handle any necessary reimbursements automatically. If you're not on Mogul using owner statements, then I don't know. Speaker 2: Yeah. So I what I would say since hopefully the the verbo guy's still on here is that that needs to change because I'm not doing it for other owners, but you know, part of a good asset protection strategy is maintaining different properties and different LLCs and that protection falls apart if you start commingling funds or doing things out of your own account for the business. And so being able to keep that clean would be very helpful. Speaker 5: Thank you. Speaker 4: Thanks, Caleb. All right. Next we will bring India up on the stage. India, what's your question? Please unmute yourself. Hi. my question is around the verbal financials. So I'm nuanced. I had a different PMS that was connected and I moved fully to hospitable a couple of months ago. all of my past verbal financials in hospitable are not accurate. And then ⁓ my current, even as of the last couple of days, a new verbal. ⁓ booking came in and the financials and hospitable is not accurate. So if I move to the full verbal integration, does that retroactively fix everything? Speaker 1: I wish that would be so great. But no, your your property manual software was organized basically the payment processing and that's not data that basically has been carried over. ⁓ but yeah, Marina will be able to answer in a bit more detail. Speaker 9: Okay. Speaker 7: I was going to say that the for past bookings, we cannot really change it because that happened in your ⁓ previous BMS. But for any booking that comes in, then you should have the correct financials coming through. Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess my point is even as of within the last few days, I've been on PMS solely for the last several months, but even my new verbal bookings, financials, you look at verbal, you look at hospitable, it is not the same. Speaker 1: Who is the payment processor? Speaker 4: ⁓ Barbara. Speaker 1: Okay, so that means you are relying on the legacy integration. And so there is we're doing a best effort on this on this Chrome extension to retrieve as much data as possible, but there are there is definitely data inconsistency that is good that is happening. ⁓ the fact the opportunity with being the one processing the payments is that actually we know how much money or we know about the transactions that are happening, and we can provide reliable financials. ⁓ the the connection that you have right now, relying on a Chrome extension, is basically backdoors to try to get the the as as appropriate a number as possible. So this is the the great opportunity of our new variable partner connection is that it is a state of the art. We know how much money is ⁓ transiting through, we know as much as possible in terms of the line items between those reservations, ⁓ because ultimately whether that's on Stripe or whether that's hospitable payment. We are tr we we are the one liable for the processing of the credit card. ⁓ so we are still somehow in the loop of those transactions. Speaker 4: Got it. Okay. Then I I'll make one ask. I think we need the ability to have a manual update of previous transactions because Hospital is also feeding my price labs and it's feeding everything else. Speaker 8: Yeah. Speaker 1: I I think Emily has been working on this behind behind the scenes already. Thank you. Thank you for that feedback, India. Just a few things before we we add the next person, just ⁓ some some comments on the chat. ⁓ one person saying I won't be moving over until hospitable get the credit card limitation resolved. Unfortunately, this is on verbal screen. We would love to have you add as many ⁓ credit cards as possible. Speaker 4: Thanks indeed. Speaker 1: ⁓ this is well outside our of our scope. ⁓ we're doing as much as we can. For example, as Emily shared with you, ⁓ to basically if you have a complex setup ⁓ with different owners. ⁓ another question from Joel ⁓ is the Chrome extension still needed with a new connection? Well, no. ⁓ we actually have a lot a lot more data and a lot b a better quality of integration ⁓ by working with a partner connection. ⁓ so when you integrate with the partner connection. We automatically sunset the previous legacy connection as well. Great. Next would be Rebecca. Hello, Rebecca. How can we help you today? Can you hear me? Yes, perfectly. Speaker 9: Excellent. I've been using Hospitable for, I don't know, maybe a month. And I've been waiting to try to get on VRBO. And I keep trying and trying. And this morning during the call is the first time it's let me advance at all. But it keeps stopping. First, it doesn't show pesos or Mexican pesos as a viable option for showing things. So I chose US dollar. And now it's stuck on the authentication screen and it just hangs and doesn't proceed past that. Also, Speaker 1: Yes. Speaker 9: I don't have properties already set up in VRBO. I have everything set up on Airbnb, on booking.com, on a direct site through you guys, inhospitable, everything working well on those two sites. But I don't, but I'm trying to get things onto VRBO. Do is there a way to to delete the user account in VRBO or to what do I do to proceed? Speaker 1: Okay, Marina? Seems like you're a new user. Speaker 7: Yes. ⁓ so for when you're setting up an account on verbal ⁓ I I assume that you're going through the sign and flow and you're being presented with a currency that you have to pick, right? So verbal Speaker 9: Through I started in Hospitable, but what I didn't realize is that I already had a username and password on VRBO just to go and rent places, but I didn't have any info in there and I don't have any properties in VRBO. So I from Hospitable, I start the process to connect with VRBO through the channel connections and it get and it starts asking me questions. And then it gets to go to the self-service through VRBO. And I click that button and then it hangs. Speaker 1: ⁓ I think you need to set up an owner account on Verbo in the in the first place so that then we can we can integrate with it. Right now, unfortunately it seems like the you are integrating with a traveler ⁓ applic a traveler account. So it it will not work ⁓ because there is like i the the system will crash on verbo side. Because I think you're referring to the I don't think you need to delete it. I don't think you need to delete it. I I just think you need to set up your account as an owner. ⁓ Speaker 9: Just delete that so that because But does that mean I have to add all the properties in VRBO? You don't need to do one? Speaker 1: No, Rebecca, you you want to need to connect it. I I think there are some questions in the onboarding as an owner that you're gonna need to set up in in the first place that that you so far have not completed. So what you need to do is go to your verbal dashboard and complete steps to basically go to listing your property. You don't have to be creating your listings, we'll be able to do that from hospitable as soon as your account is connected. ⁓ and then you we are already familiar with some restrictions when it comes to currencies. ⁓ those are again on on verbal side. ⁓ to be clear. Speaker 9: What's the best what's the best way to handle those those currency issues? Is the fact that I have everything in hospitable and Airbnb and booking in Mexican pesos gonna mess up the R VRBO? Or can we leave VRBO in dollars and the others in Mexican pesos? Speaker 1: That's that's unavoidable. Yeah, Marina. Speaker 7: Yeah, I was gonna say that that's the recommended setting. You just keep it in USD, even though Airbnb and Booking might be in Mexican business. Speaker 9: Okay, but it won't mess up the integration. It won't put in that it's a thousand dollars a night. Speaker 7: No. Speaker 1: Okay. So but no, the the the we we are familiar with some ⁓ some cases, okay. When when we this is this is ⁓ something that we have to do as well for booking.com ⁓ a long time ago. So it's ⁓ it's something that we ⁓ we we have solved already. So you can have listings from different channels that do not match exactly with the properties on the other side. And so we oper behind the scenes there is a currency conversion exchange when we push it to the right currency. Speaker 9: So it'll show dollars for the VRBO listings and it'll keep the rest of them the rest of them will stay in pesos. Speaker 1: It it it will depend on the specific settings of your account, what you what's your your lead channel. I I would not be prepared to answer in detail about this, but just it will it may show it will show something consistent. So basically if you're being re seeing prices in pesos and you update the price in pesos, then it will push to the all other platform in dollars. Okay. Speaker 9: Wonderful. Speaker 1: Good luck. It's exciting. You're getting listed on another channel by the end of the day. ⁓ I hope so. That's probably. Thank you, Rebecca. Okay, and next one is gonna be Jory. Speaker 3: Yes, hello, can you hear me? Speaker 1: Yes, perfectly. Or can we help you today? Speaker 3: Okay, so my question is I have one ⁓ owner that owns the Virbo account and I took over for her. ⁓ so in my current connection, I just had her get connected ⁓ with her Viral and then obviously I have my own for my listings. For this new connection, does that kind of seamlessly transfer over or there's is there additional steps I gotta do to get her listings connected through this new ⁓ integration? Speaker 1: So you will be able to share a link to that other person so that they can connect their ⁓ verbal account to your hospitable account and complete the setup. That may mean, for example, adding their credit cards ⁓ so that they are they're gonna be charged. So I think it's a great setup for for everyone. You will be able to connect your verbal account, ⁓ add your verbal credit card, I rec add your credit card. I recommend you do that yourself first before briefing briefing that ⁓ that that client. ⁓ and then you can share a link so that they connect their verbo account to your account on hospitable. Speaker 3: Okay, great. So it works kinda like how Airbnb does now if I'm a co host on Airbnb. I invite them as the co host essentially and they could connect it in that fashion. Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't don't even need to go as far as basically costing. So the ⁓ the the the thing is that you can share with them a link so that they can they can connect their verbal account to your hospitable account without touching basically the the setup on the on their site. So they can still you they still are gonna need to, for example, set up payout methods on hospitable so that it's ⁓ integrated with their their payment ⁓ with their bank account, for example. Speaker 3: Sure. And even though I'm on the mogul account, like and their accounts verified for like the direct booking, that won't that Okay. Okay. Good enough. Speaker 1: That's great. We use we use the same, so we're not reinventing the wheel. Speaker 3: Excellent. Okay. Thank you for answering. Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you, Jerry. Hello. And we and now have the Cabin Ferry. Is it the Cabin Ferry, the mythical one? Hello guys, how are you doing? Speaker 6: Hey PC, how are you been? Speaker 1: Fantastic. How are you? Speaker 8: ⁓ Speaker 6: ⁓ Great. So ⁓ how do we go about changing credit cards or if these credit cards expire? And also Speaker 1: Also if ⁓ Speaker 6: ⁓ we fire a client and we get rid of them. Speaker 1: ⁓ can you could you give a lesson? I I think some property managers would love to know to do that. There there are some some of your competitors or people that are in the same space that would love to know more. ⁓ that's that's an aside, but ⁓ I trust you on this. so the very good question. I think so I I don't I'm not sure if we have a full body of experience on this, Marina, but I think you can share that with the credit card can change. Speaker 7: Right. Yes. So to change your credit card, this is one of the things that you should do directly on verbal. So you have to go to your owner dashboard in there and then you're gonna have like payment settings and then you can you can s like change credit card. Also, some users do this because they get set up with their own credit card and then they ask the owner to go in there and change it for their own credit card afterwards. So Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. And so firing a customer a genuine question though that needs to be answered. So I think the main problem that I see is that there will be a reservation that are still processed under your payment, your payment processor. in any case. So there will be dec that's where we get into a proper possible decommissioning process ⁓ on verbal side. ⁓ but basically if there are reservations with ⁓ that have been booked on the on the payment processor. then basically they are still ⁓ managed under your property management company. Speaker 6: Okay. Yeah, because that's one of those that's then all that's one of those touchy subjects because I'm this close to firing one here at the end of the season, at the end of of ⁓ September not September, ⁓ August. And they're they don't know it yet, but they're gonna be. and so but we're gonna end up putting, you know, our credit card system in there and the way that we do business. But I want to know, okay, so how do I go in there and remove that or just disconnect it from hospitable so that credit card isn't processed anymore? Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: Just to be clear in the setup, obviously that listing is under your variable account. Yeah. So it's under its own variable account specifically for my client. Speaker 6: That's correct. And ⁓ I think you and I kind of discussed this, you know, way back when, you know, probably a couple of years ago, say we integrate this ⁓ differently than anybody else in the in the industry. Speaker 1: You'll be surprised. But that that would be your credit card that you're adding. Yeah. What about about not doing that? I'm sorry to be giving this kind of advice. It's probably terrible. But in the terms of consequences, but there there is this link where you can have the owner basically connecting the account their way and so therefore they will have the prompt for the credit card. Speaker 6: Okay. Do you know if if if Virgo is gonna end up like maybe ⁓ changing this instead of a credit card, a bank account, like they kinda have it right now for charge for charge? Speaker 1: So there are yeah, there are plans on verbo. ⁓ we I'm not the best person to make representation about those plans. ⁓ but it it's not in the it's not in the the in ⁓ in a meaningful short term. ⁓ yeah, so there ⁓ for for you and other people in the chat that are asking for a change, like we don't contemplate that's happening this year or the next. Speaker 6: Integration's great. I mean, that whole portion of a PC is great. You know, the the w the way it's being processed. It is, I think it's every single every single client, you know, is gonna have their little nuances. And that's that's the only place where we are, you know, worried when we release these properties back or these listings back to the owners after firing them or they fire us, you know, you never know. But ⁓ and then saying, hey, you know Now we gotta put their stuff in, which is not a big deal. I mean we can, you know, we can put that in our you know firing, you know, process. But yeah. Appreciate it though. Everybody at Hospitable is doing great. We had a great time in Gatlinburg. Speaker 1: ⁓ we can't. ⁓ yes, you are there. Fantastic. Great, great to hear that that went well. That's a feedback I've heard as well. But thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much. ⁓ And yeah, we're gonna make a note on basically terminating the connection because now it's actually something that's gonna happen. And so making sure you guys have the best option ⁓ possible. Okay. ⁓ we're gonna take a last one. And obviously this has been well over time. Thank you, Emily, for your patience. ⁓ we're gonna take the last one, E S-E. ⁓ I think. Here you go. ⁓ how can we help you? We cannot hear you. Unfortunately, you are unmuted, but the mic might not be connected. Going on once. Twice. Okay, that might not work. ⁓ okay, we're gonna try with the last one. I don't want to end on on this note. ⁓ Stephanie. If we can have Stephanie, you can unmute yourself. How can we help you? Speaker 4: There. You may have answered this with Rebecca's question, but I just wanted to confirm. ⁓ I have a couple of properties that I've been waiting for this Virgo integration to come out. So they've never been on Virgo before. I can set up new owner accounts for them. And so you're saying, go ahead, set up the owner account in Virgo, answer whatever questions I need to, but don't really proceed with setting up the listing in verbo. Just come to Hospitable, connect it, and it will kind of set the listing up for me. Is that correct? Speaker 1: Yeah, Marina? Speaker 7: Yes, that's correct. In fact, ⁓ you don't even need to go to Verbo to set up an account. You can do that from Hospitable as well. You just need to tell us which email you want and we can ⁓ help you create the account. Verbal is going to open in the window and you're going to select that you don't have an account that you were using ⁓ property management software and then they'll guide you through process of creating a net new account for you. ⁓ and then after you're done, then you can go back to hospitable. And you'll be able to create all the listings from all the other platforms, and they'll go to verbal in a couple minutes. Speaker 4: Okay, perfect. Thank you. Speaker 1: I was talking to myself again. ⁓ we have we have EAC that posted in the QA. And thank you so very much for everyone that contributed to the QA. I know it's actually open. There are some of you users and customers that have been ⁓ providing their own opinion on the QA. I think it's a record. We have one hundred and thirty four now ⁓ questions that have been answered. ⁓ not sure wasn't up muted, but I'm on a legacy connection, I'm a legacy connection user. I also use price labs. Is there anything I need to do regarding that connection when switching? Well, no. Actually it will work so much better. ⁓ so because of being ⁓ having the state of the art partner integration, we are able to push rates and availabilities ⁓ basically very well. So you will need to be able to ⁓ to go connect. The question might be on all price labs is basically figuring that out. ⁓ so that's not something that maybe we have tested enough at scale, but that's that's something that you will be able to address on on price lab side side directly. Obviously for users that are using hospitable ⁓ dynamic pricing, we can reconcile which properties are which. ⁓ so yeah, just make sure you merge ⁓ those ⁓ variable listings. But that that's that would be fine. I'm actually trying to look for for a reason why it would not work, but really it it's I'm sure it is gonna be working fine. Okay, ⁓ so we're gonna wrap up there. ⁓ thank you so very much ⁓ for your feedback and your attention for this extremely valuable channel. ⁓ we wanted to take a bit of time to go back to basics because this is actually a very meaningful event ⁓ for hospitable, because it means it's the end of having to support unofficial integrations. So we have Airbnb since 2021, we have booking.com since much earlier, I think twenty nineteen already. ⁓ and we now have verbal with the partner level integration that is basically we we are seeing it, but we we are industry people. Now it's basically up to you to see it for yourself. We believe it's the best integration with Verbo that exists in the market because it does it provides you with a self-service onboarding and it gives you options on the payment processing, including one that is aiming to match Verbo when it comes to tax compliance, defense for chargebacks, and of course payment processing fees not being charged in the case of cancellations. Thank you. Thank you so very much. We'll have the next and all that's going to be probably provide plenty of feedback and updates on the verbal connection as well. ⁓ If you are raise your hands, you are always welcome to send me an email to pc at hospitable.com and I'd be happy to answer, or some of my agents will, ⁓ and get you ⁓ get you on a good track or get you intro with the right person in the company. Thank you so very much, and good luck, and see you. In two weeks, same time, same place.
