Indiana is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with new “Freedom 250” highway signs going up along I-70 and U.S. 30, part of a nationwide initiative led by the White House and DOT to honor the Declaration of Independence. Governor Mike Braun unveiled the first sign near Plainfield, highlighting Indiana’s role as the “Crossroads of America” while tying the milestone to the 70-year legacy of the Eisenhower Interstate System and the 100-year history of the Lincoln Highway.
