- 0:00Her attempt to try to defend bisexuals.
- 0:03I'm like queen or king Princess I.
- 0:17Hi guys. Welcome back to GAS the Pod, the
- 0:21podcast for the girls, the gays, and especially the gay girls.
- 0:25We have some gay girls on the podcast today, but I'm a
- 0:29lesbian. The podcast is here.
- 0:34We are talking about the debate that is taking over sapphic
- 0:39Internet because this happens like every three months and it's
- 0:43the infamous bisexual slash lesbian Internet discourse.
- 0:48It's been reignited by one of the very few sophic celebrities
- 0:52we even have. And I say sophic because at this
- 0:54point, do we even know king princesses sexuality?
- 0:58And this is what we'll be discussing today.
- 1:00I've talked about JoJo, Siwa and Fletcher already on this podcast
- 1:04and like, it just keeps happening.
- 1:07It's not our fault that it keeps happening.
- 1:09So with the bisexuals and the lesbians at each other's throats
- 1:13with the latest scandal, the Internet is again wondering what
- 1:16makes you a lesbian? And to answer this question, of
- 1:19course, I'm bringing on lesbians from but I'm a lesbian.
- 1:23I just feel like it works out so perfectly.
- 1:25I'm so excited to not fight, you know what I mean?
- 1:28Like how often are are bisexuals and lesbians agreeing on this
- 1:34subject? So before we get into the meat
- 1:36of the episode and before I introduce, but I'm a lesbian
- 1:39podcast. Just a few updates for people
- 1:42that are new to this podcast or returning.
- 1:45This is a pop culture sapphic theory podcast if you're
- 1:49wondering. So I talk about pop culture
- 1:52topics specifically like getting into one of them.
- 1:55Also, I have bonus episodes if you're looking for more
- 1:58episodes. I do a bi weekly podcast so you
- 2:01can check out bonus episodes on my Patreon or Spotify.
- 2:04What else? Please subscribe especially on
- 2:07Spotify or YouTube. If you've not subscribed on
- 2:09Spotify, but you are following on TikTok love that for you but
- 2:14would love if you subscribed on Spotify.
- 2:15That would be amazing. So before we discuss King
- 2:19Princess and just everything that's happening, I wanted to
- 2:25introduce But I'm a Lesbian podcast because we've been
- 2:27mutuals and I've been seeing from afar how much we align.
- 2:32So I'm so happy that we're collaborating and maybe we'll do
- 2:36a podcast on y'all's podcast in the future.
- 2:40But Caitlin and Angelina, thank you so much for joining.
- 2:44Can you guys like introduce yourselves and tell the
- 2:47listeners like how you started a podcast, what your podcast is
- 2:50about, etcetera? OK, so I'm Caitlin.
- 2:54I'm Angelina. Well, where to start?
- 2:57We met actually only like less than three years ago yeah on
- 3:04Bumble BFF. So I'd love that.
- 3:07I swear they should sponsor us because they I have seen so many
- 3:11people talk bad about Bumble BFF like, oh, everyone on there is
- 3:15weird and you know what maybe you'll find people that are the
- 3:18right kind of weird they get along with exactly.
- 3:21I never. Got to participate in Bumble BFF
- 3:23because I was banned for life because I because I put my Venmo
- 3:29in my bio and then I turned my age on 50 plus and then I got
- 3:33banned for soliciting money. Oh my God.
- 3:36Well it's creepy. 55 year olds are willing to do that.
- 3:41You didn't. Say give me money.
- 3:43But it was a suggestion. What?
- 3:45Can you do about that for you guys?
- 3:47Though, yes, so we met and funny story, I almost didn't swipe on
- 3:55her because because I was 34 at the time and she was 24 and I
- 3:59was like, how am I going to be friends with a 24 year old?
- 4:01And I was like, but she's a lesbian.
- 4:03I was like, no, maybe we will be friends even though there is an
- 4:06age. Yeah, we did end up being best
- 4:09friends. Like we text every day, which is
- 4:12really special. And that developed really
- 4:14quickly. And then I have always wanted to
- 4:17have a podcast. I just never thought that I
- 4:19could do it. And so I'm like, would you want
- 4:21to do a lesbian podcast with me? I was like.
- 4:24Yeah, of course I wanted. I think what kind of sets us
- 4:27apart from a lot of the lesbian podcasts that I have seen are
- 4:33like Niche is talking about sapphic movies.
- 4:38Every episode we talk a little bit, have like a yap session
- 4:42just about like. Then we recap and review a movie
- 4:47and then we do a special third segment which alternates.
- 4:52So sometimes it's WLW history, sometimes it's what's up with
- 4:56the heteros where we read like an am I the actual about
- 4:59strength? So and we're like low and so we
- 5:02and then we do deer dykes, which is like an advice thing where
- 5:05people can write in. It's really fun.
- 5:07It's become this whole thing and we have, we're like more than
- 5:11halfway through Season 3, yeah, which is pretty crazy.
- 5:16Yeah. Also what's really cool is that
- 5:17like when we had first, Caitlin had asked me if I wanted to do a
- 5:21lesbian podcast with her. I was like, Oh my God, yes.
- 5:23So then we started saying like, what movies?
- 5:25Literally like the first what, like 2-3 seasons?
- 5:29We were just like naming movies. And someone had said to you
- 5:33like, oh, shouldn't you include like straight movies?
- 5:36You're gonna run out of content. And I'm like, no, so many
- 5:40movies. And that's not even including
- 5:42the TV shows that we could do. Yeah, true.
- 5:45TV shows, so a lot of the podcasts that I have heard of
- 5:50either, they don't exist anymore, which I fucking.
- 5:55Real. Yes, like I would book 1 Apple
- 5:58podcast on Spotify for lesbian podcast and I would find a
- 6:01podcast and be so excited. And then I'm like, oh, they
- 6:03stopped releasing episodes a year ago.
- 6:05So I only have old episodes and a lot of times.
- 6:08And I think it's because they were a couple and maybe they got
- 6:11something. I don't know.
- 6:13That's the Bumble. BFF for you guys.
- 6:15That's yeah. We have gotten, I'm sure you
- 6:19have to the emails from people being like, oh, this person
- 6:23wrote a book. Do you want to have them on your
- 6:25podcast? And I'm like, I don't think this
- 6:28really fits our bod. I can tell you put it into
- 6:31ChatGPT absolutely. So I don't want to be like
- 6:34accidentally backing somebody that I don't agree with.
- 6:38And that's what I see happen on things like the podcast episode
- 6:44that we're going to talk about the celebrity book club.
- 6:47One really great segue. This is why I had podcasters on
- 6:51my podcast, like podcast is talking about a podcast.
- 6:54Let's get into it because I also want to play the audio out loud
- 6:58because I feel like the way she says it is like it gives me
- 7:03shivers down my spine. People that are unaware of the
- 7:06Princess controversy. I'm just going to quickly run
- 7:10through how this spawned because usually when discourses happen
- 7:14on the Internet, it is definitely something that is
- 7:16like dug up or something that never really blew up initially.
- 7:20And I think sometimes people like validly, you know, critique
- 7:25that because they're like, OK, this is like something that like
- 7:28was dug up in order to cancel them.
- 7:30And I think that that's like fair, because I'm not going to
- 7:33discredit the fact that I'm sure right wing media is trying to
- 7:35discredit a lot of gay people. However, at the same time, you
- 7:39said this in a public platform like, and if this didn't blow up
- 7:43at first, that's like many people just didn't see this at
- 7:46first. The T is that King Princess
- 7:49famously identified as a lesbian.
- 7:51This is not a Fletcher situation where Fletcher said, oh, I never
- 7:56said I was a lesbian. I always just said I was like
- 7:59gay or queer or whatever, which someone fact checked that.
- 8:03I don't have a producer in the room, but.
- 8:04I am pretty sure you're correct because yeah, I said something
- 8:08about it on TikTok and someone tried to correct me and said she
- 8:11did say she was a lesbian. But there their receipts were
- 8:16comments from other people saying yeah, she said she was a
- 8:19lesbian. And I feel like she could say
- 8:21like. I'm I'm queer.
- 8:23I'm not specifically. A lesbian.
- 8:26And I feel like that the critique of Fletcher is less of
- 8:28like, so how dare you be bisexual and more like, why are
- 8:33you marketing your music with a boy T-shirt and like, being
- 8:36like, oh, everyone's so mad at me before anyone was.
- 8:39Here to tell you guys this, but it's like.
- 8:43Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And like, maybe we can get into
- 8:45that. Maybe we don't.
- 8:46I don't know. But also, I do have an episode
- 8:48on Fletcher if anyone feels the huge desire to listen to that.
- 8:55But so. King Princess has identified and
- 8:58still identifies to my knowledge, as a lesbian.
- 9:01I'm not sure if any of this discourse has made her reflect.
- 9:05She is genderqueer and singer-songwriter.
- 9:08I've loved her music. The T originally happened.
- 9:12The discourse that we're talking about on the Internet happened
- 9:15in 2024 and this re blew up very recently in the last like week
- 9:22or so in the last two weeks. And this was a bonus episode on
- 9:27a podcast called Celebrity Book Club with Steven and Lily.
- 9:30This episode resurfaced. And it's ironic because the
- 9:35video of her calling out Fletcher also resurfaced at the
- 9:39same time that this clip resurfaced and people were
- 9:42calling her super hypocritical. She said in the deleted video
- 9:45about Fletcher because everything she pretty much
- 9:47posted has been deleted. But don't worry, we have have
- 9:50that. Of course, the Internet is
- 9:53forever, and this I agree with. So she said that artists pretty
- 9:58much aren't victims of the queer community's disappointment when
- 10:02they use the LGBTQ community for marketing their music and then
- 10:06pivot into heteronormative privilege.
- 10:08I don't know. What do you guys think about
- 10:09that? I agree with her, yeah, but it's
- 10:13hard to look at it now because I feel like someone wrote that for
- 10:17her. Yeah.
- 10:19Because I it seems like when she talks for herself, it's not.
- 10:22Or maybe she just feels like it really does exclude her.
- 10:26So like, she genuinely probably thinks that, but it's like, I'm
- 10:30the exception because I'm not dating.
- 10:32I mean, yeah, you know, I'm just fucking maybe there.
- 10:35Was something that was pulling at her insecurity.
- 10:38Some kind of project? Projection, that's the word
- 10:41yeah, yeah, cuz like I agree with that.
- 10:43Like I think Fletcher's allowed to be by as a by person come out
- 10:46as by. But people feeling like they
- 10:49lost representation does not mean that they're biphobic to
- 10:53you with you having a boyfriend. Like there are such few, I
- 10:58looked it up, I cannot find because I know there's like
- 11:01famous lesbians we have, but there are very, very few
- 11:05bisexual famous women that are dating or married to a woman.
- 11:10And I don't think that's because there's not bisexual women
- 11:13dating women. But I think that like, and we
- 11:16can get into this, but like the lack of that representation I
- 11:19think means that a lot of people that are actually bi won't say
- 11:24that thereby. And then it only leads to people
- 11:27calling themselves a lot lesbians when they're not
- 11:29lesbians, and then ultimately setting up their own audiences
- 11:32for disappointment when they actually are bisexual at the end
- 11:36of the day. Yeah, we've got Kristen Stewart,
- 11:39but I think Kristen. Oh my God.
- 11:40That's so true. Yeah.
- 11:43Oh my God, she's so hot. But.
- 11:44I mean it's. Kristen Stewart, Yeah, but no, I
- 11:48think you're right. Because when I think of bisexual
- 11:52celebrities that I know of, I'm thinking old school.
- 11:55Like I'm thinking Madonna, but I don't know that Madonna has ever
- 11:58specifically said she's bi. But she's not straight, I'm
- 12:03pretty sure. No tea on them.
- 12:06Like you're still bi, but like, there's just a lack of this
- 12:10public knowledge that like bi women can have girlfriends.
- 12:13So let's get into what King Princess said.
- 12:16This podcast of celebrity book club with Steven and Lily.
- 12:20Lily asks if King Princess has ever had a quote by moment and
- 12:25I'm just going to play this on my phone is deleted.
- 12:29But of course it's on Reddit. Did you ever have a?
- 12:32Vibe, just to jump in here, did you have a bye moment ever?
- 12:35I've taken a lot of Dick, okay? So yeah.
- 12:38And not just microphones. And not just this giant
- 12:40microphone that's. I mean, yeah, of course
- 12:44sometimes you get bored and you're just like, I'm just gonna
- 12:47ride a cock. I don't know, people get really
- 12:50like shook when I say that and I'm like why would I?
- 12:52Why would I? I'm not bi but I why would?
- 12:55People get people get upset because of, I'll say it,
- 12:58misogyny. You you could take a Dick then
- 13:01why couldn't a straight man take a Dick?
- 13:02And that's what they were afraid of.
- 13:04These are. Also, just like lesbians are
- 13:05like what? I feel like you as a lesbian.
- 13:08That are like, but you're like in a hoodie.
- 13:10But I was like I. OK, so there's so much to
- 13:16unpack. OK, Here's her quote.
- 13:18I've taken a lot of Dick. Yeah, of course.
- 13:22I think is also crazy where it's like, of course me as a lesbian
- 13:25has taken a lot of Dick. And I feel like she says it with
- 13:28such, like, pride in a way that, like, high school girls are
- 13:32like, yeah. Yeah, I know.
- 13:36Neither of us or our partners would ever say, oh, I get bored
- 13:42and I'm going to ride on cock. But what a what a statement.
- 13:45Specifically says I'm not bi but I do that or whatever and I'm
- 13:50like why is she afraid of being bi?
- 13:54Like it feels like she said this in front of other lesbians
- 13:58before and they told her then you're not a lesbian because
- 14:02it's like she's almost kind of like defensive about it
- 14:05immediate. It wouldn't be a sin if if you
- 14:08were when she says like, I'm not bi, but why would I exclude
- 14:13myself? And it's like, well, because if
- 14:15you are having to force yourself to not hook up with guys, then
- 14:19you're probably not a lesbian. Like if you're feeling like I
- 14:22have to exclude myself from hooking up with men, I don't
- 14:25think. I mean, you guys tell me no.
- 14:28Desire to help with men. Zero desire.
- 14:31So I did write some notes about it, but why would I exclude the
- 14:37idea of sex with men because I'm a lesbian is literally
- 14:40ridiculous. Because that's exactly why you
- 14:43would exclude them. Because lesbians are not
- 14:48unattracted to men romantically or sexually.
- 14:52You wouldn't feel like you're saying, like you're excluding
- 14:55someone or like you're abstaining from something,
- 14:59right? It shouldn't be hard.
- 15:01It's not hard to not hook up with men.
- 15:06And I think the idea that it is hard to give up men.
- 15:10First of all, as someone who is bisexual, it is not like
- 15:14something I'm abstaining from. Almost.
- 15:18Like like she seems like men more than I do and she says
- 15:23she's a lesbian. Yeah.
- 15:25I'm confused about that. But like, it just like
- 15:28perpetuates the idea that like, lesbians hate men.
- 15:31And that's the reason why lesbians aren't with men because
- 15:35like, oh, if they didn't hate men as much, then they would be
- 15:37with men. Yeah, and that we all secretly
- 15:42want a dude to like, fuck the gay out of us or something.
- 15:46Yeah, you know, like it's just gross and weird.
- 15:49And there's a part, I don't know if you're gonna play it, the
- 15:53part where she talks about her body.
- 15:55It's really, it's easier to be like, if you're single and
- 15:59you're like, especially like in a foreign country, you're like,
- 16:02like foreign guys are more into. I feel like if I was when I was
- 16:05straight in middle school, men fucking love me.
- 16:07I think they're super confused about what's going on.
- 16:09And I'm like a gateway drug to Weiner, you know?
- 16:12You know what I mean? It's like I look like a dude,
- 16:14but then underneath the garb I hire, I have tiny little pussy
- 16:18and tits. So it's like.
- 16:20Oh my God, it's a keyhole. Yeah.
- 16:22Yeah, a keyhole. Like it's, you can't even, you
- 16:24can't even see it. And you're like, oh.
- 16:28Was that the part? Yes, because though when you
- 16:31were saying like the way she talks about like, yeah, I've
- 16:34taken a lot of Dick, but yeah, when she says guys love me
- 16:39because they like that under my hoodie that I have a tiny little
- 16:44pussy and tits, it's giving like you are seeking male validation
- 16:50constantly and you want to brag about like guys like my boobies
- 16:55and they like my tiny tight pussy.
- 16:57Like it's so weird and. Her thing that she's a gateway
- 17:02to Wiener. Like what?
- 17:04That's also like, first of all, I think she's a.
- 17:08She thinks she's a lot more mask looking than she is.
- 17:11Like wearing a hoodie doesn't make you look like an.
- 17:14Itch. Exactly.
- 17:14I was just gonna say, if a man's attracted to and you're wearing
- 17:17a hoodie, that doesn't mean he's gay.
- 17:20Yes. And so that's what I'm like.
- 17:21This is like a really weird like way of thinking about like
- 17:26gender. And I feel like saying because
- 17:29of dressing in a more masculine way, the men that are into her
- 17:33might secretly be by and like they want Weiner, like she's
- 17:37helping them out like she's doing.
- 17:39Such a service for them. So that makes her really.
- 17:42Good lesbian helpful. Oh my God, you're so right.
- 17:46Two major points there. I think there's a lot of people
- 17:49that are wanting to take what King Princess said and
- 17:53extrapolate it to mean like This is why barriers are unnecessary
- 17:58and they're using it in a very like pro gender queer type of
- 18:02like argument. Which is exactly the opposite of
- 18:05what King Princess is literally saying is that those equal
- 18:09gender and that like if a man is interested in you and you're not
- 18:14giving super high femme, it means he's gay.
- 18:17But also she has such male validation.
- 18:23The people that have been like defending her, it's so funny
- 18:26because they're obviously way smarter than her because they're
- 18:29like intellectualizing the stupid thing she said and trying
- 18:32to make it make sense. And I'm like, but there is there
- 18:36are people that have fetishes for like turning lesbians or
- 18:41it's called like dike breaking. And so many men have that that I
- 18:47have like literally encountered when I say I'm a lesbian.
- 18:51You, I'm sure you've experience this.
- 18:53If you say you have a girlfriend.
- 18:54It's like you don't even want to tell straight guys you have a
- 18:57girlfriend because their responses are usually like, can
- 19:00I watch? Do you need a third?
- 19:03I am sure that my Dick will be the one that you'll you'll want.
- 19:09Or they completely disregard it and then still try to hit on
- 19:12yeah. And they, they, no, I'm not into
- 19:15guys that they say, well, I've had sex with lesbians.
- 19:18That is always the thing. And I'm like, no, you didn't
- 19:21have sex with lesbians because if they had sex with you
- 19:24willingly and they are not a lesbian, they're like Thai or
- 19:29pan or queer or something. Yeah, I think I've gotten a lot
- 19:32of people being like, how are you going to blame women for men
- 19:36being creepy? And I'm not blaming women for
- 19:39men being creepy because men are gross and creepy a lot of the
- 19:43time. I would never blame a woman for
- 19:47being sexually assaulted or sexually harassed.
- 19:51But I don't think it helps men that already have this idea that
- 19:56they can turn lesbians to be like, oh, I'm a lesbian.
- 20:00But I fucked you because it's it just goes to back what they
- 20:05already believed. A complete difference too.
- 20:08It's like in the past, you don't have to be a Gold Star to be a
- 20:12lesbian. I look waiting, not being the
- 20:14same thing. It's like that is not the same
- 20:16thing. If all she said was yeah, I've
- 20:18taken a lot of Dick, but then I realized I'm a lesbian exactly,
- 20:22that would have been fine. Nobody cared.
- 20:24How many do you hooked up with before you realized you were a
- 20:28lesbian? I don't know how many people
- 20:29that are gold stars. I was just going to say sing.
- 20:32And the equating of that being Gold Star is just like not the
- 20:36same thing. Like I think there's also a
- 20:38difference between someone who's not famous doing that on their
- 20:42own. Then like talking about this on
- 20:44a public platform. Like there are very few famous
- 20:48lesbians. You are one of the very few,
- 20:50like famous lesbian singers and you on a public platform is
- 20:55bragging about how you take a lot of Dick and like, that has
- 20:59consequences. And like, it does doesn't matter
- 21:01what you're saying as a public person.
- 21:03And like, there are a lot of men that will see that and be like,
- 21:06that's what I fucking thought. And like, especially amidst the
- 21:10political climate that we are in right now, we're like, you have
- 21:14a privilege. And then people flamed me on the
- 21:16Internet for saying this. As someone who's dated like men
- 21:19and women, the difference in how people treat me is so
- 21:23staggering. And I don't understand when
- 21:24people say like, oh, it's the same, like it's the same amount
- 21:28of discrimination. Discrimination comes in many
- 21:31different forms, sexual violence, like societal
- 21:34discrimination, political discrimination, etcetera,
- 21:36etcetera. But like we are in a time where
- 21:38like we almost lost gay marriage.
- 21:41Like so lesbians are under attack when you are in a
- 21:45homosexual relationship. Like you are under attack right
- 21:48now and it's just not the time to be bragging about riding cock
- 21:52even if this was. A.
- 21:54No, for sure. I think, and it's wild that,
- 21:57yeah, she had made that statement about Fletcher.
- 22:01So she understands that as a celebrity you have a
- 22:04responsibility, but then she doesn't think it applies to her
- 22:08also. I wonder back to the part where
- 22:11she said it's easier when you're in a foreign country because
- 22:14it's also giving privilege in that, oh, if you were actually
- 22:19gay, you'd be shit out of luck in a foreign country where being
- 22:23gay is illegal. But since you like to fuck
- 22:25dudes, yeah, you can just hop on an app and find a dude to fuck.
- 22:29Like that's what it's giving to me.
- 22:31So. Yeah.
- 22:32Thing too I was going to say about the guy on the podcast
- 22:36saying oh misogyny why are you using that word that's.
- 22:40Just gonna be awesome. For this people online saying
- 22:44I'm being misogynistic by saying that lesbians don't have sex
- 22:50with men. Always been sensitive about
- 22:52this. And I came out in 2009.
- 22:58It was like still very much the era of like, that's so gay.
- 23:04Yeah, you know, it was still that era.
- 23:06Or like, I remember I had a friend in 2009 when I came out
- 23:11and had my first girlfriend and she and her best friend were
- 23:15doing that whole like faking it scenario for like attention,
- 23:19pretending they were in a relationship.
- 23:21And. And I remember she posted did
- 23:24you know? Because it said in a
- 23:25relationship with blah blah blah on Facebook.
- 23:28But then her bio said Alyssa wants me to tell you we don't
- 23:31actually do dyke shit. And I'm like, are you fucking
- 23:35kidding me? And I remember I told her that
- 23:36was offensive. And she was like, why?
- 23:38I'm just saying like, we can be in a relationship, but we are
- 23:42just really best friends. And I'm like, no, you're taking
- 23:45the meaning of something that is really important.
- 23:49And people, like gay marriage wasn't legal yet at that time.
- 23:51And you're like, making like a, like a joke out of it.
- 23:54And they're totally doing it to appeal to men, Right?
- 23:58Yeah. But yeah, I just, I don't get
- 24:01where the misogyny comes in. I think that people just throw
- 24:04around words and they don't know what they mean, but they think
- 24:07they sound. Smart.
- 24:08They think that they're sounding like, so like progressive.
- 24:11They're like, yes, misogynistic. You think otherwise?
- 24:14Yeah. No, do what you want to do, but
- 24:18like people are going to call you out when you say something
- 24:21on a public platform that reinforces A homophobic idea.
- 24:25And like the whole misogyny thing.
- 24:28I've seen this. I'm sure you guys have seen this
- 24:30like kind of pop up on the Internet when talking about
- 24:32bisexuals. And I think that like, the
- 24:35concept that they're saying is that like, OK, when when we're
- 24:39criticizing women for like sleeping with men, that's
- 24:42actually misogynistic. Now, like there's a difference
- 24:45between like slut shaming someone and then not liking men.
- 24:50Like, for example, is it is it misogynistic that I don't like
- 24:54your boyfriend? I don't think so.
- 24:57Like me liking if you had a girlfriend more because I could
- 25:01probably get along with that girl more than I'm going to get
- 25:03along with your boyfriend is not misogynistic to you.
- 25:07Because I feel like only at misogyny, I feel like only
- 25:10reinforces the idea that, like, you are the men you sleep with.
- 25:14Like you are not men. Like earned identity as a woman
- 25:17is not tied to men, whether or not you have a boyfriend or not.
- 25:20Yeah. Why are women even viewing
- 25:23themselves? I feel like it's like self
- 25:25misogyny to think that it's misogynistic when we're
- 25:28criticizing your boyfriend. You are not your boyfriend.
- 25:31Like yes, why you? Yourself so connected to men
- 25:35like I didn't even know that way.
- 25:37No, it is so interesting. It's OK.
- 25:39I'm thinking about how people love to throw around misogyny,
- 25:44patriarchy, and the word turf and they don't know what it
- 25:48means because turf means trans exclusionary, radical feminist.
- 25:54And people just learned that word or that acronym and they
- 25:57start calling everybody turfs. And I'm like you guys, I'm
- 26:00saying lesbians don't have sex with sis men.
- 26:06Yes, I, our podcast is super supportive of trans people and
- 26:12trans women can obviously be lesbians.
- 26:15And I've gotten into many fights with people in the comments who
- 26:17are actual turfs that are saying no, you would never date a trans
- 26:21woman if you are a lesbian. And I'm like, no, they're women.
- 26:24They identify as women, yes. But I think people don't know
- 26:27what it means. Think.
- 26:28That there is something that's happening with language so much,
- 26:30especially amidst the literacy crisis and the fact that, like,
- 26:35truth doesn't really matter because Trump is in office.
- 26:38So like. Yeah.
- 26:39There's already a deconstruction of like what words mean.
- 26:42And so then we're like throwing around misogyny turf,
- 26:46transphobic, but then like, what does lesbian mean?
- 26:49And what does whatever mean? And like, it seems like within
- 26:52the queer community, it's like, OK, don't know, it doesn't
- 26:55matter. And like I'm never going to like
- 26:56force someone to to label themselves a certain way.
- 27:00Like especially as like a bisexual.
- 27:02But like, I do think when we fully lose the meaning of what
- 27:06words are, then we lose communities.
- 27:08And then there's no one to, like, stand with you.
- 27:12Yeah, no, for sure. And I think that is something I
- 27:17have seen and I have felt myself, I think to us like we
- 27:21put lesbian in the name of our podcast because it is a really
- 27:26special, empowering word to us. And so I don't think it's wrong
- 27:31to have like a lesbian event. Well, we don't like hate people
- 27:36that aren't lesbians. And I think that people jump to
- 27:39this thing if you defend the word lesbian and its meaning,
- 27:44but people think that means that you hate by people or something.
- 27:49It's like, no, Oh my God, we don't.
- 27:51We love by people. Exactly.
- 27:55We know someone that's by my friend.
- 27:59Well, like, for example, like me engaging with your lesbian
- 28:03podcast. I never was like, oh, I hope
- 28:07they'll want to work with me. And I think that there is an
- 28:10element of like, you do have to deconstruct some internalization
- 28:15you have. And like, obviously I do think
- 28:18biphobia exists, but not every lesbian hates you.
- 28:21And there's allowed to be certain spaces that like, aren't
- 28:24even necessarily not inclusive just because the word lesbian,
- 28:29isn't it? No one ever comes for gay men
- 28:31and the way that they come for like, lesbians and lesbian
- 28:35spaces. There's like a handful of
- 28:37lesbian bars across the United States.
- 28:39There's I can see a gay bar from my apartment and like, that's
- 28:43amazing. I can't see a lesbian bar from
- 28:45my apartment. And then like, I'm sure there's
- 28:47a lot of lesbian bars that are feeling pressured into then
- 28:49saying like, oh, like queer bar. Yeah.
- 28:53Did their clientele even change or do they just feel like they
- 28:56can't say the word lesbian without people coming for them?
- 29:00Yeah, Yeah, we have. Girls never been to a lesbian
- 29:03bar? I know, and that is that I've
- 29:07been to a gay bar, but not a lesbian bar.
- 29:11I've heard that there is some sort of issue.
- 29:14There's a new lesbian bar that opened in What's Hollywood
- 29:18called Sweetwater, but people hate it.
- 29:20I guess the I know the lady was a cop.
- 29:22I did. I was just there remember my
- 29:26friends were like I was drunk and they were telling me
- 29:29something about a cop, like a masked cop or a Butch cop.
- 29:32So now I need to look this up. West Hollywood lesbian bar.
- 29:35Sweetwater cancels ex Hillary Clinton organizer.
- 29:39Her political views were not what a lot of people were.
- 29:42I don't know what are. Right.
- 29:45Yeah. Tanya Sikonovsky, this was a
- 29:49meet and greet. He's a Republican and a Zionist
- 29:53and lesbian. And then her appearance was
- 29:56pulled when everyone was like, why the hell is she there?
- 30:01Yeah, why the? Fuck, was she there?
- 30:04I Well, that makes me nervous about the Sweetwater place,
- 30:07because the word. Owned by Bernadette Bernie
- 30:10Gambino, who was a retired Los Angeles County Sheriff's
- 30:13Department Sergeant. OK, I knew she was a cop in some
- 30:16way, OK? And she is kind of Butch.
- 30:19Sergeant. Thing else that I've been
- 30:21getting a lot in comments when I'm trying to protect the word
- 30:25lesbian and the label of lesbians is people being like,
- 30:29well, what about the split attraction model?
- 30:33I hadn't heard that much about it, but apparently it started by
- 30:38like a sociologist studying asexual people, people on the A
- 30:42spectrum. And it basically kind of like
- 30:46explains like that you can be romantically attracted to
- 30:50someone but not sexually attracted or vice versa.
- 30:54It can be used and has been used for people that aren't on the
- 30:59aid spectrum. Now, I still don't think it
- 31:02should be used for lesbians. So what people are saying is
- 31:04like, they're like, yeah, she is a lesbian because she's homo
- 31:08romantic, but she's bisexual. Like, she wants to have sex with
- 31:12men, but she only wants to date women.
- 31:14And I'm like, OK, you can get into the week of it.
- 31:16Yeah. But let's just separate the word
- 31:18lesbian from that. Yeah.
- 31:20You. Can be like wanting to date
- 31:22women more but still wanting to sleep with men, which means that
- 31:25you're bisexual. Yeah, I think that that all
- 31:28falls. Under like something else that's
- 31:30not lesbian and like Princess has an issue with calling
- 31:35herself bisexual. I'm never going to be like, you
- 31:38have to be bisexual. But guess what?
- 31:40There's so many other identities you can pull from.
- 31:43You could be queer, you could be man, you could be just gay.
- 31:48Like yeah, you. Could be you could honestly come
- 31:50up with your own new label like. I just think it's also
- 31:55interesting as a lesbian who's like, I been in our relationship
- 32:02with my wife. Oh my God, almost 15 years.
- 32:05But like, I also didn't identify as a lesbian for a long time
- 32:09because I, I wasn't sure, even though, you know, I was like,
- 32:14I'm going to be with her forever, but do I really not
- 32:17have an attraction to men? And it did take me like kind of
- 32:21years to really deconstruct that.
- 32:23And I did realize that my only attraction to men was seeking
- 32:29the validation. Like I, when I drank, I wanted
- 32:32to go out. And I wanted men to think that I
- 32:33was hot, like, you know, But it wasn't that I would ever have a
- 32:37relationship with them or that I would even want to have sex with
- 32:40them. Like when I was a teenager, I
- 32:41used to tell guys that like me, that I was going to grow up to
- 32:44be a nun because I wanted them to leave me alone about having
- 32:47sex. I didn't really be anywhere near
- 32:49the penis. And so, like, really thinking
- 32:53those things through and like, back, I realized that I was a
- 32:57lesbian. And it felt really empowering to
- 32:59me. And so it is kind of hard for me
- 33:02when I see people, especially celebrities, seeming to like,
- 33:06yeah, seek out sis men and that stuff, yeah.
- 33:11There's like a very big chance like King Princess has trauma
- 33:16with this and is like projecting and like wanting male validation
- 33:19and doesn't enjoy it to in the extent that maybe she's
- 33:22pretending like she enjoys it. Like there's a huge chance.
- 33:26But like when you're a public person, you need to acknowledge.
- 33:29I know people don't like the idea like that.
- 33:31You have to be careful what you say about your sexuality
- 33:33publicly. Like if you're a famous person,
- 33:35like when JoJo Siwa said sexuality is fluid when she came
- 33:39out as bisexual, It's like you do have to think about the
- 33:41language you use. It's unfortunate that it falls
- 33:44on us because then Republicans and straight people like use it
- 33:47against us. But like JoJo Siwa, sexuality is
- 33:51fluid for you. Awesome.
- 33:54But don't just say it is fluid. And like King Princess, you can
- 33:58say I still seek male validation and I hook up with men like you.
- 34:03Do have to think about what you say?
- 34:05We feel the effects of that. Yeah, for sure.
- 34:09People really think that they are just being the most
- 34:12progressive and the most woke by saying sexuality is fluid and
- 34:18I'll hold space for this person if they want to be with a man
- 34:21like that is like they really think they did something by that
- 34:25with that and that they're being so welcoming and opening.
- 34:30But you're actually doing the opposite because you are still
- 34:33being homophobic because you're saying that my identity is not
- 34:38valid because I'm saying mine is not fluid.
- 34:41I have no desire or attraction for men and you're invalidating
- 34:46that so far on on one side that now you're spouting conversion
- 34:50therapy idea. So he went back around.
- 34:53Right. Yeah, sexuality is not better
- 34:56because it's more fluid. And I think because we are in
- 34:58like a woke literacy crisis, like this idea that like, you
- 35:02almost are open to all people seems Woker.
- 35:05Yeah. It's not about having a better
- 35:08identity. I think there's a lot of people
- 35:09that are saying, oh, I think just everyone's bisexual.
- 35:12It's like you're. Bisexual.
- 35:14Yeah, you. Are and I love that for you, but
- 35:17not everyone. Is Oh my God, since my mind is
- 35:22by. Everyone is by.
- 35:23Everyone, everyone else, yeah, yeah.
- 35:25I have asked people that have been defending this situation
- 35:29and the topics that came up from it, which are really just can we
- 35:34include sex or relationships with men in the definition of
- 35:38lesbianism? And I'm like, no.
- 35:41And then people are fighting so, so hard to include them.
- 35:46And I'm like, I've asked them, why do you want fifth men
- 35:51included so bad? And they're like, you're being a
- 35:55turf, you're being misogynistic. And I'm like, but I'm only
- 35:58excluding fifth men. And that is, that is what they
- 36:02think for sure. What are you talking about?
- 36:04And I think also. Like the people complaining
- 36:06about being like included or not like it's not about being
- 36:09included. Like it's your sexuality.
- 36:12Like it's not about like a space.
- 36:14Like it's not about like, oh, you don't you hate them?
- 36:16Like then I think we're moving farther away from the idea of
- 36:19what sexuality is. Not wanting to sleep with
- 36:21someone, not wanting to date someone doesn't mean you hate
- 36:24them. It doesn't mean that.
- 36:26It just means that that's your sexuality.
- 36:28Yeah, it's so weird. I mind if I read King Princess's
- 36:34responses. No, that would be great.
- 36:37OK, cool. So after this backlash happened
- 36:41and the clips resurfaced, King Princess responded with at least
- 36:46one TikTok. I think there were two.
- 36:48They were all deleted. But we have her quotes.
- 36:51And she said, quote, you're pissed that I've slept with a
- 36:54guy. By this logic, it's the same
- 36:56thing that Republicans say when a guy explores their sexuality
- 37:00with another guy and they're like, you're gay.
- 37:03That's what you're saying. I have to be bisexual because
- 37:06I've slept with men. That's insane.
- 37:08My response to that is if you are wanting to sleep with
- 37:12another man and you are a man, you are probably queer.
- 37:16Yeah. Yeah, I think that that doesn't
- 37:21mean that that you're gay like you're not 100% gay.
- 37:25You like she's trying to rewrite the narrative and make it that
- 37:30we care that she's had sex with men in the past exactly because
- 37:33she said, you're saying I have to be bisexual because I've
- 37:37slept with men. And it's like, no, we're saying,
- 37:39because you said you actively get out, get out, and you're not
- 37:42defending it. So yeah, that was two years ago.
- 37:45You came on and made this video defending it and trying to
- 37:47rewrite it to something else. Yeah, and like that whole thing
- 37:50where she was like, I've never dated a man.
- 37:53I've never been in love with the man.
- 37:55And it's like, girl, that. Doesn't matter like yeah, she
- 38:00says quote, it's kind of low key disrespectful to bisexuals to
- 38:04say that what I've done and was doing in the past is an
- 38:07identity. I would say I was literally just
- 38:10being a slut and attention whore and wanting someone to want me.
- 38:14I don't think that's fair to the bisexual community to even
- 38:17equate me with that. Like and I think that like maybe
- 38:20she's not defending herself well or maybe not explaining, but
- 38:24like if she's saying that she's expensing compact and like then
- 38:27say that girl, But then also what you're saying, it sounds
- 38:30like you're and then slut shaming bisexuals that then
- 38:34sleep with men like her attempt to try to defend bisexuals.
- 38:38I'm like queen or king Princess. I you're saying it's
- 38:44disrespectful to bisexuals to say that you're bisexual.
- 38:47It's disrespectful to say that it's disrespectful to say that
- 38:50you're bisexual because how she is explaining her sexuality is
- 38:54like the same percentage or not percentage, but the amount that
- 38:58like I am attracted to men, like I don't want to be with a man.
- 39:02She doesn't want to be with a man but like I'm bisexual and
- 39:05it's like her feeling like she needs to be 5050 to be bisexual
- 39:10is. Yes, yes.
- 39:12And also it's making it, yeah, it is giving a little bit slut
- 39:15shammy, which is weird. And I think is I think maybe she
- 39:20has some internalized stuff with thinking that bisexuality means
- 39:26promiscuous or something. Yeah, I've heard that like, as
- 39:29you know, a fucked up stereotype that I literally see on TV all
- 39:33the time because I watch all those stupid reality shows like,
- 39:37oh, like if they're bisexual, they always get to buy they
- 39:42assume that they're also Polly and or they will cheat on you
- 39:46with someone, someone, whoever, like, yeah, just because someone
- 39:49is bisexual doesn't mean that. And if they are Polly, that's
- 39:53fine. And if they do cheat on you, but
- 39:56that's not because they're bisexual.
- 39:58I feel like she's just really confused on both what being a
- 40:02lesbian and being bisexual me. Maybe free yourself from either
- 40:06term. Like maybe just be like, I'm
- 40:08queer, you know what I mean? You can also be on labels like,
- 40:11yeah, because then then she says, quote, I'm a lesbian.
- 40:14The amount that I actually care about men romantically or
- 40:17sexuality or sexually is so small that like it would be
- 40:21inappropriate to call myself bisexual.
- 40:24I'm, I'm a lesbian, I've been a lesbian.
- 40:26I will continue to be a lesbian because it doesn't change.
- 40:28And I just think this quote is so crazy because she's
- 40:30acknowledging that she does view men romantically and sexually,
- 40:34just like a very small amount. And like that means like that's,
- 40:39that's bisexual or that's queer, but like lesbians don't view men
- 40:43romantically and sexually. I don't.
- 40:46Like it is like old misconception that people have
- 40:50where they're like by means I'm 50% into men and 50% into women.
- 40:56And it's like, no, like what I have seen is like I'm 100%
- 41:01bisexual. I made a video saying so many of
- 41:03the different terms that she could use besides lesbian.
- 41:06I'm like, you could say something.
- 41:08You could say queer, you could say fluid.
- 41:10They're like you should she should be allowed to use the
- 41:13lesbian label because that's how she what she feels that she is.
- 41:17But it's like, that's not what it actually is, no.
- 41:21I can see what people are saying about don't police other
- 41:23people's identities, but at the same time, when you're in the
- 41:25public eye, people, the masses view what you say as like
- 41:31gospel. And so they're like, well, King
- 41:34Princess said that this is what a lesbian is and people don't
- 41:39take lesbians seriously, like, and so it just adds to it.
- 41:43And I've experienced it like my mom like setting me up or trying
- 41:47to set me up on a date with a fireman when I was already
- 41:49dating my wife. And like, like he didn't take it
- 41:52as like as it was serious or something.
- 41:55And that's the thing I think people have that idea of like,
- 41:59oh, it's like lesbians, it's just a phase, and then they're
- 42:01going to be with a dude. So when people identify as
- 42:05lesbian on public platforms and then go and say that they do
- 42:09like to be with dudes, it just adds to the idea that people
- 42:14already have that. Like, no woman actually doesn't
- 42:17want a man. Yeah, you're going to find the
- 42:19right man eventually. And like.
- 42:21Like the one that will the 1% that will kill you in terms of
- 42:26labeling, like label yourself. Like I don't want to be so
- 42:31strict. We're like, we obviously tell
- 42:33people how to label themselves. But I do think like, people need
- 42:36to at least talk more personally about their own sexuality
- 42:40instead of making it like this broad stroke.
- 42:43Because I just don't like how she's like, of course I've slept
- 42:47with Matt. Oh my God.
- 42:49I love to go catch a Dick. Like maybe she could be like I
- 42:52don't know. I'm honestly trying to figure
- 42:54out if I'm even attracted to men or if I just use them for fun.
- 42:57Like if you want to be personal, be personal.
- 42:59But like you're making broad strokes for a community that's
- 43:03already under attack. Like you have to think about
- 43:05what you're saying. Yeah.
- 43:07Yeah, exactly. And then the final thing she
- 43:09says is like. Pretty crazy, he.
- 43:12Goes quote. Go find someone else who's
- 43:15actually lying. Like who's really fucking lying.
- 43:18There are a bunch of them. You guys might want to check on
- 43:21the pop Divas who are actively lying about being gay and fully
- 43:24committed relationships with men on the DL.
- 43:27Literally like take the flame off me and then it's like going
- 43:29to throw other what 3 famous lesbian pop Divas like Renee
- 43:35Wrapped Chabarone? Like who else?
- 43:36I was like, that's it. Yeah.
- 43:40And say that they're in relationships with men like
- 43:42Also, no one thought you were lying.
- 43:44We believe you, we just don't understand why you think you're
- 43:46a lesbian like. Yeah, and that's what makes me
- 43:48think that she actually is. And she's just projecting.
- 43:50She's like, oh, like I wouldn't date a man.
- 43:53Like I'm in a relationship with a man.
- 43:54Yeah, I just fucked them. That's it.
- 43:58I did think that was weird and you know, I don't know.
- 44:01I think it's kind of sad. I always worry that anyone that
- 44:04is a celebrity that comes out of the lesbian is going to start
- 44:07dating a guy. Disappointed because I feel like
- 44:10it's happened before. And so I was really nervous when
- 44:15Chapel came out and when Renee came out.
- 44:19Both eminent and people like as a whole seem to not believe that
- 44:27feminine presenting women can be lesbian.
- 44:29Yeah, they believe more masculine ones can or.
- 44:33Like you're too pretty to be gay.
- 44:34Like you're too pretty to be a lesbian.
- 44:36It just also like makes me think about the misogyny thing we were
- 44:38talking about before because it's like, what is actually
- 44:40misogynistic thinking that every woman has been made to have a
- 44:44penis inside them? Like sorry for the crude
- 44:47language, but like from the beginning of time, like it's
- 44:50lesbophobia, but like lesbophobia is also so
- 44:52misogynistic because like you inherently view women as like
- 44:56made for men. And you can't fucking imagine
- 44:59that like a woman that you'd be attracted to wouldn't be
- 45:02interested in you. And like, everyone's talking
- 45:05about misogyny for like bisexuals.
- 45:07Like we're not thinking about the misogyny and like men
- 45:10literally thinking that like, oh, you're pretty, you have to
- 45:13be made for a man. Like that's so.
- 45:15Disgusting. Yeah.
- 45:16So weird. That reminds me of how like the
- 45:19word vagina came from thief for a sword.
- 45:24Yeah. No.
- 45:27This is what I I read and then I was like, I love the word vagina
- 45:31but now I don't want to use it. I want to use a different word.
- 45:34We don't ruin my day. No, no.
- 45:40I remember when you were telling me that I was like, excuse.
- 45:43Me men and their language. No, like actually who's next
- 45:47though? Because is King Princess pulling
- 45:50out these names because she's just trying to like put the
- 45:52flame somewhere else or? Yeah, I don't know, but I it
- 45:56would be really upset if Renee Ref didn't.
- 45:59Come out. I know.
- 46:00After that whole Betty Who thing being like I'm holding space for
- 46:04her, if in 10 years she falls in love with the man and she was
- 46:08like the fuck what is Betty? Who is right?
- 46:12Yeah. Then we all need to move to an
- 46:16island or something. Absolutely.
- 46:19The. Island Lesbos.
- 46:20The Lesbos. Yeah.
- 46:22So I guess like any final thoughts on the King Princess
- 46:25discourse? I.
- 46:28Disappointed but not surprised because unfortunately, like you
- 46:34said, when you're a celebrity, there is always that
- 46:37possibility. Not saying for us, but it's just
- 46:40like the entire world is watching you and they're waiting
- 46:43for you to like fuck up. And then that reflects on us
- 46:47because we already experienced that in our everyday lives.
- 46:50Like there's men that constantly trying to like get with you,
- 46:54even if you say like, I have a wife, I have this to the point
- 46:58where like you don't feel comfortable telling them that
- 47:01because then it turns into like a, oh, how can I change that?
- 47:05Not let me respect that, you know?
- 47:08And it just continues when celebrities do that.
- 47:10Yeah, I mean, I think it also feeds into this.
- 47:14I mean, it feeds into so many things, but I think about how
- 47:18when men are hitting on you, you have to the only way to get them
- 47:22to respect that the answer is no is to say you have a husband or
- 47:27a boyfriend because they only respect you as another man's
- 47:30property. It just ties into that in that
- 47:33it's like men don't believe that there are women that don't want
- 47:39them. And I don't think it's helpful
- 47:42for celebrities to go around and make people feel like that or
- 47:47like that and convince people of that.
- 47:49I really want to say that I was probably King Princess's like #8
- 47:55fan. I don't know.
- 47:57Music is really good. Is it always in my?
- 48:00Top on my Spotify people were like what the fuck?
- 48:02King Princess isn't even relevant anymore and I was like
- 48:04shut up pussy as God is like one of my favorite songs like the
- 48:07music is. So good.
- 48:09And I'm gonna continue to listen.
- 48:11Yeah. Yeah, definitely the.
- 48:14Art from the artist. Yeah, I feel like I defended her
- 48:17a lot when anybody talked about her.
- 48:20Not irrelevant or like for new music not being good.
- 48:24I was like leave her alone. And I'm like, Oh no.
- 48:27We can be critical of them because.
- 48:29Oh, yes, OK. This is the other thing that I
- 48:32think is important to mention, and this applies to so many
- 48:36different things, but it does apply to this.
- 48:38Some of the comments I've gotten are really, in a time like this,
- 48:42you're going to comment negatively on other queer
- 48:47people. And I get what they're saying,
- 48:51but also, yes, I am because I feel like what they're spreading
- 48:55is wrong. And I see this with when I talk
- 48:59about gay representation on TV shows or movies.
- 49:03That's not good. People are like, oh, so you're
- 49:06being homophobic. You don't want there to be
- 49:08representation. It's like condescending because
- 49:11it's like, oh, we should just be happy with whatever we have.
- 49:14And we don't. Need high standards and we
- 49:16should just be happy that there's even a lesbian singer.
- 49:19Like exactly. Totally agree, like I think
- 49:21you're allowed to critique and or even just like not even
- 49:25critique but be like hey what? I don't think she should be
- 49:29cancelled off the Internet. I hope she like explores why she
- 49:32feels like she needs to sleep with men and like if she's
- 49:35genuinely attracted to men, like maybe think about maybe what
- 49:39your identity is then. Still going to listen to her
- 49:43music your. Spotify rapped is going to be
- 49:45like King Princess at the top. So much for coming on the pod.
- 49:51This was so fun. I feel like we had such a
- 49:53fruitful conversation. Yes, a fruity, fruitful.
- 49:58Yes. We'll have to figure out an
- 50:01episode in season 4 that you will want to be on.
- 50:06Yeah. Excited.
- 50:07There are so many gay movies and literally, you know, content.
- 50:11Yeah. Thank you so much for having us.
- 50:14Yeah. Of course.
- 50:14Do you guys want to tell listeners where they can find
- 50:17you on socials and then also to listen to your podcast?

- 51:30Thinking exclusive but then I'm like.
- 51:33Only fans, yes, and I. Was like, wait, wait, it's not.
- 51:36We're talking about lesbian things.
- 51:38But the way it was like coming up is, yes, it's exclusive, but
