- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's time for Bachelornation headlines.
- 0:07Speaker 3: We're here this week.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I'm almostening to this podcast breaking down everything good, bad,
- 0:11Speaker 2: ugly anddifferent happening within Bachelor Nation.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Ashley, we have.
- 0:16Speaker 2: The first big headline of the week. The Bachelor alum
- 0:21Speaker 2: Daisy can't reveal she and boyfriend Thor. What an incredible
- 0:26Speaker 2: can you believe? No, just I have a picture in
- 0:30Speaker 2: my mind of him right now. I think I've seen
- 0:32Speaker 2: him a few times, but like in my mind, I'm thinking,
- 0:34Speaker 2: like hot guy.
- 0:35Speaker 4: He doesn't look like Thor whatsoever. Like he's not attractive,
- 0:39Speaker 4: but he's not like this big burly Thor. He does
- 0:43Speaker 4: not go along with his name.
- 0:46Speaker 2: They're now roommates, Ashley. What's happening here? Like I'm assuming
- 0:50Speaker 2: they're living together is the headline?
- 0:52Speaker 5: Their roommates.
- 0:54Speaker 4: In the way that they are now the roommates, it's
- 0:57Speaker 4: a funny way of saying she's living with her boyfriend out.
- 1:01Speaker 4: She met him in San Diego at school San Diego
- 1:04Speaker 4: State University, and when he told her initially, hey, I'm
- 1:08Speaker 4: from Las Vegas, she was like, Wow, people live in Vegas,
- 1:12Speaker 4: Like as a real thing, and he was like, yeah,
- 1:14Speaker 4: and now here she is. They just moved to Vegas,
- 1:17Speaker 4: they built the house, and right now they're moving all
- 1:21Speaker 4: her stuff. They're going back and forth on road trips
- 1:24Speaker 4: because it's four hours from la which is where she
- 1:26Speaker 4: was living, moving all the stuff over.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It feels like this would be different if they just
- 1:33Speaker 2: from Vegas. No, building the house together feels like we're
- 1:38Speaker 2: looking I'm just gonna assume we're looking at this step
- 1:41Speaker 2: now to engagement, Like you don't build a house with
- 1:43Speaker 2: somebody without seriously thinking that your future.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Is with them.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Yeah, totally agree.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Okay, well, speaking of building houses with people, Caitlin Bristow,
- 1:56Speaker 2: she suddenly defends herself a mid rumors she's dating Adams
- 2:01Speaker 2: ex Zach Clark. Wait, I thought these rumors started two
- 2:04Speaker 2: years ago.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Well they have. It's not been two years. Let's not
- 2:08Speaker 5: push it.
- 2:08Speaker 4: But it has been over a year since Caitlin and
- 2:12Speaker 4: Zach were first spotted at that New Year's Eve party
- 2:16Speaker 4: on Instagram and people saw them, but they haven't really
- 2:20Speaker 4: been seen very much since then. Maybe a dinner or
- 2:23Speaker 4: two in New York City based on a good rosy camera.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Yeah, right, Well, anyway, Tasha had.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Something to do with Bumble's TikTok account, like a takeover
- 2:34Speaker 4: or something like that, and somebody asked whether dating a
- 2:39Speaker 4: best friend's ex was a pro or a con, and
- 2:44Speaker 4: of course she said no, who dates a best friend's ex?
- 2:48Speaker 4: And then a fan taed Caitlin and said something along
- 2:52Speaker 4: the line of take notes like, hey, Caitlin, you shouldn't
- 2:56Speaker 4: date your best friend's X, to which Caitlin responded with
- 3:01Speaker 4: they said best friend And to Schae, Caitlyn and Tasha
- 3:07Speaker 4: weren't never best friends, nothing even close to it. Apparently
- 3:11Speaker 4: they had tension throughout them co hosting the show. So, guys,
- 3:16Speaker 4: even though on TV they appear to be very close friends,
- 3:20Speaker 4: this is not what it was.
- 3:22Speaker 3: So they're good at their jobs, is what we're saying.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, it's very good at their jobs. Well, you
- 3:28Speaker 4: have the further thoughts on this, Benjamin, you're laughing.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I just I think this.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I think at some point people have to realize to
- 3:36Speaker 2: not poke the bear of Caitlyn Bristow, Like she has
- 3:42Speaker 2: no boundaries and she's so witty and she's so unapologetic
- 3:48Speaker 2: that like Caitlyn is a very honest, truthful person. We
- 3:52Speaker 2: know that about her. We're friends with her, she will
- 3:55Speaker 2: say what's on her mind, which gets her into trouble
- 3:58Speaker 2: and also is what we love about Kaitlin Bristow. Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 2: but as a result, at some point, let's say a
- 4:06Speaker 2: scenario exists where her and Zach Clark have been dating
- 4:10Speaker 2: for the last year, since they've been seen at a
- 4:12Speaker 2: New Year's party together and then seeing consistently over the
- 4:15Speaker 2: last year together off and on at dinners and whatever, like,
- 4:20Speaker 2: at some point Tasha, who I also think is great,
- 4:24Speaker 2: would just say, this isn't a topic I want to
- 4:27Speaker 2: broach any longer, because when I say something, Caitlin comes
- 4:31Speaker 2: in a thousand times harder.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Well, it was a generic question to day the best
- 4:38Speaker 4: friend zact. But I guess she took the question because
- 4:42Speaker 4: you know, and also, who the hell is ever going
- 4:46Speaker 4: to say yes to that? Like, I think that person,
- 4:48Speaker 4: whoever was the person asking the question, was obviously just
- 4:51Speaker 4: trying to get a fun reaction.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Sure, sure, it's still a story until it's not. But
- 4:58Speaker 2: the longer this day, his story I think is is
- 5:01Speaker 2: Tasia still with her boyfriend?
- 5:04Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 5:04Speaker 4: We haven't seen them a bit for a bit, but
- 5:06Speaker 4: they were always very private.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Okay, So really, who knows?
- 5:11Speaker 3: It?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Just want to be fun to talk about your ex
- 5:13Speaker 2: of so many years ago consistently. I cannot imagine it's
- 5:16Speaker 2: good for your personal dating life. So and I just wouldn't.
- 5:20Speaker 2: I just wouldn't get into a public battle with Caitlin, like,
- 5:24Speaker 2: I just wouldn't.
- 5:25Speaker 4: It's scary, but you know, this isn't really a huge
- 5:28Speaker 4: public battle of It's just little. It's just a little
- 5:31Speaker 4: social media chatter. Nobody said it's a big interview.
- 5:35Speaker 3: That's a good point. That's a good point a few.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Months ago to just take a little something and.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Run with it.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, a few months ago, maybe it would have been
- 5:43Speaker 2: a bigger story. When Caitlyn, I think said something like
- 5:48Speaker 2: I should have sent her a picture of something.
- 5:51Speaker 3: You remember that?
- 5:53Speaker 5: Oh my god, that was a moment.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I don't know that was a moment.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Rachel Lindsay has a new dating partner, Willie Jones, country star.
- 6:20Speaker 2: You've probably heard of Willy Jones because he has a
- 6:24Speaker 2: ton of followers for a country artist, especially on social media.
- 6:29Speaker 2: He's best known for really two songs, but he has
- 6:35Speaker 2: a lot of great hits out there. The two songs
- 6:38Speaker 2: he's best known for are American Dream and down for
- 6:42Speaker 2: He worked with Beyonce on her massive Cowboy Carter album. Now,
- 6:48Speaker 2: Rachel Lindsay and Willie Jones were rumored to be together. Oh,
- 6:53Speaker 2: it's been quite a while now. Honestly, I think they
- 6:57Speaker 2: were initially kind of rumored to be together about a
- 7:01Speaker 2: year ago, kind of following the divorce from Brian, but
- 7:07Speaker 2: nothing really came out except for this weekend. The two
- 7:12Speaker 2: stepped out together at the Celebrities and Artists Unite at
- 7:16Speaker 2: Project Angel Foods event Angel Art so they were seen together,
- 7:21Speaker 2: confirming that there is something going on. A source says
- 7:25Speaker 2: that he's a really cool guy. They're super happy for
- 7:29Speaker 2: Rachel and they're really happy about the situation.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:33Speaker 2: To clarify, they're initially linked late last year, so it
- 7:36Speaker 2: hasn't been a full year. So late last year, somewhere
- 7:40Speaker 2: in the November to December timeframe, people started to rumor
- 7:43Speaker 2: that maybe the two were dating. Her legal paperwork to
- 7:49Speaker 2: end their marriage with Brian was started in January twenty
- 7:55Speaker 2: twenty four. Rachel didn't give any comment on the status
- 7:59Speaker 2: of that this time. So, Rachel Lindsay and Willie Jones
- 8:03Speaker 2: are officially we could say, like a pair something's going
- 8:06Speaker 2: on there. He's a cool guy, cording sources. She's really happy.
- 8:10Speaker 2: We're really happy for her. All Right, We're going to
- 8:12Speaker 2: completely switch gears to talking about something that we've been
- 8:18Speaker 2: covering and also an interview that we had. We had
- 8:22Speaker 2: an interview with Kevin, who is Ali Fittatowski's husband, Kevin Mano.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Right before he had surgery, he was having his thyroid
- 8:33Speaker 2: remove due to having.
- 8:34Speaker 3: A cancer diagnosis.
- 8:36Speaker 2: So we are switching gears to talk about cancer here
- 8:39Speaker 2: with two Bachelor contestants that we love very dearly.
- 8:43Speaker 3: And here's the headline.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Ali Fittatowski shares update about her husband Kevin's thyroid cancer.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Here is the update. He is officially cancer free.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Yes, we are so happy for him.
- 8:56Speaker 4: She said. The surgery one great. They only took half
- 8:58Speaker 4: the thyroide out. When they wait into the surgery, they
- 9:00Speaker 4: weren't sure if they were gonna to take the whole thing.
- 9:02Speaker 4: I happening and they're still determining, like if he's gonna
- 9:04Speaker 4: have to be on meds for life. But he is
- 9:08Speaker 4: just recovering well and the pathology report came back negative
- 9:13Speaker 4: and we are we're really happy that they can rest
- 9:15Speaker 4: easy now.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's we did. If you haven't listened to that interview.
- 9:20Speaker 2: We did have an interview with Kevin right before he
- 9:22Speaker 2: went into surgery, and the dynamic within the family was
- 9:27Speaker 2: supportive and encouraging and also had a little nerves. Yeah, positive,
- 9:32Speaker 2: but nerves to it because if I remember, Kevin hadn't
- 9:35Speaker 2: really had many surgeries in his life and this is
- 9:38Speaker 2: obviously a big one. So for him to be officially
- 9:41Speaker 2: cancer free is such a big deal. We hope he
- 9:43Speaker 2: gets back to his job, which is as a radio host,
- 9:48Speaker 2: very quickly, because I know that was a concern.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Also, well, we talked about this quite a bit.
- 9:56Speaker 2: And here is the next update within this dynas Katie
- 10:00Speaker 2: Thurston reveals she's moving to New York, which is a
- 10:04Speaker 2: big deal. I don't think that was necessarily talked about
- 10:08Speaker 2: at the beginning, and she gives an update on her
- 10:11Speaker 2: breast cancer diagnosis. Her statement is Ashley, at this point,
- 10:15Speaker 2: it's likely stage three.
- 10:18Speaker 6: Yes, which would mean that it's spread to lymph notes.
- 10:22Speaker 6: I believe, even though I thought that last week she
- 10:25Speaker 6: said that she that they it wasn't found in the
- 10:27Speaker 6: lymph notes when they did.
- 10:28Speaker 4: When they did it also to ructionally in there so
- 10:31Speaker 4: I'm interested to know. I not pretend to be a
- 10:36Speaker 4: doctor right now. I would think that if it wasn't
- 10:38Speaker 4: in the lymph notes, that it wouldn't be stage three.
- 10:39Speaker 4: But I'm just gonna say exactly what Katie has said
- 10:42Speaker 4: right now. She said that it's triple positive invasive ductyl
- 10:47Speaker 4: karsonoma to be determined on the stage, likely stage three.
- 10:52Speaker 4: And she found the lump herself. She said it was.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Just how it.
- 11:00Speaker 4: She was like, it just felt like a lump. Answer
- 11:03Speaker 4: does discriminate. I probably first felt the lump in August.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Don't do what I did and delay. So yes, that
- 11:12Speaker 4: is a teaching lesson here. And then she also said
- 11:16Speaker 4: that people were asking her on Instagram different questions and
- 11:19Speaker 4: she's answering a few of them, and somebody asked what
- 11:22Speaker 4: did it feel like? And she said, it kind of
- 11:24Speaker 4: feel like a not, sort of like when your body's
- 11:26Speaker 4: sore and you have someone massage on a not on
- 11:28Speaker 4: your back. She goes, like, sometimes you get like a
- 11:31Speaker 4: weird bump after a bruise. It was kind of like that,
- 11:35Speaker 4: And she said, funny enough, my old doctor always checked
- 11:38Speaker 4: me for lumps when I would go do my annual PAP.
- 11:41Speaker 4: But my current provider didn't, So it's really up to
- 11:45Speaker 4: you to do these self checks.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Ashley, how I mean this might be a personal question.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Just tell me to shut up. How often do you
- 11:51Speaker 2: check yourself?
- 11:52Speaker 4: Well? See, I talked about this on the The Doctor
- 11:56Speaker 4: conversation I had about breast cancer that like, I have
- 11:59Speaker 4: had two bread biopsies, and right, this is like so
- 12:05Speaker 4: tam I I mentioned just about like the feel of
- 12:09Speaker 4: my boobs are different now after having kids than it
- 12:12Speaker 4: was prior.
- 12:14Speaker 5: They used to be like a lot.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Okay, okay, well, yes that is common, but I I
- 12:20Speaker 4: didn't breastfeed, so I wasn't I wouldn't expect there to
- 12:24Speaker 4: be as much of a difference in the field, and
- 12:26Speaker 4: there was, and now there's so much easier to feel
- 12:30Speaker 4: through than they were before. I guess, you know, to
- 12:36Speaker 4: answer your question quite bluntly, I really don't do any
- 12:41Speaker 4: self checks, but I do sometimes.
- 12:44Speaker 5: This is the weirdest thing I ever kinna say.
- 12:48Speaker 4: But I do like play with my boobs enough that
- 12:50Speaker 4: I would I kind of would feel them, you know,
- 12:53Speaker 4: like sometimes you just.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Grab on chest.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like you're doing it now, which is not necessary.
- 12:59Speaker 3: No, but.
- 13:03Speaker 5: I know this doesn't seem like a laughing matter.
- 13:05Speaker 4: But you know, sometimes you guys as men would just like,
- 13:08Speaker 4: you know, rub your chest, rub your shoulders somehow, it
- 13:11Speaker 4: just like kind of like put my fingers through.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Boobs, and I think I would note it.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I think I would notice because of that sort of habit,
- 13:19Speaker 4: and especially now with the texture that they're at, and
- 13:22Speaker 4: texture might be a weird worst. The consistency, I would
- 13:26Speaker 4: absolutely doesn't listen to this, dude, it's like your texture,
- 13:32Speaker 4: your consistency, like cow wife. I would certainly feel it
- 13:37Speaker 4: just by like feeling around myself that. But I should
- 13:41Speaker 4: have more intentional moments of check.
- 13:44Speaker 2: What is the recommended Like if you once a month in.
- 13:47Speaker 5: The soapy fingers smoothing.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Over, okay, you should like intentionally check once a month. Well,
- 13:56Speaker 2: what is recommended at this point is because I know
- 14:00Speaker 2: a lot of people way young of age and we've
- 14:04Speaker 2: I mean, this Katie Thurston story is one that I've
- 14:07Speaker 2: been following very closely. Her her fiance has been incredibly
- 14:13Speaker 2: supportive and also bringing humor to a really difficult situation,
- 14:16Speaker 2: like in the.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Most beautiful of ways.
- 14:19Speaker 2: But the recommended is once a month, Ashley, you should
- 14:22Speaker 2: be checking yourself intentionally for any lumps, bumps, not anything, yes, okay.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Sure, arm up in the air, elbow over all over.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah, checking around. Okay, So anybody listening if they're wondering,
- 14:39Speaker 2: that is the recommended amount. That is what we ask
- 14:42Speaker 2: everybody to do, because this is becoming like this isn't
- 14:45Speaker 2: this has always been a thing, but it's not. It's
- 14:48Speaker 2: becoming more of a prevalent thing with people of younger
- 14:50Speaker 2: age here as of the last few years.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Right, Yes, and same with colon cancer, which is so scary.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's uh, it's something to talk about. Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Thinking about Katie Goodness, gracious, her life has taken such
- 15:05Speaker 2: a turn. I think I saw today that she was
- 15:07Speaker 2: even in help, like getting her eggs frozen or thinking
- 15:11Speaker 2: about that.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Guys, we should definitely talk about that for a second. Okay.
- 15:14Speaker 4: So she has been super open on her Instagram stories,
- 15:18Speaker 4: and she's got a great she's always kind of has
- 15:21Speaker 4: a great attitude, and she is still presenting herself a
- 15:24Speaker 4: pretty upbeat on her stories. And somebody asked her, why
- 15:29Speaker 4: are you doing the egg freezing before doing chemo? And
- 15:32Speaker 4: that's because chemo can oftentimes just you know.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Make your egg situation a little less fruitful. And then even.
- 15:45Speaker 4: If the chemo didn't have an effect on her eggs,
- 15:48Speaker 4: they still recommend to not have to not have children
- 15:52Speaker 4: within two years of wrapping up chemo and radiation.
- 15:56Speaker 2: This is a lot. It feels like a lot for
- 15:58Speaker 2: her to process right now. So again our thoughts with
- 16:02Speaker 2: her and her fiance.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I'm really glad that she has him, Like, it's really
- 16:06Speaker 4: nice to see their relationship and like and because he's
- 16:09Speaker 4: a comedian, it just seems like he's always keeping her
- 16:11Speaker 4: in a fun mood.
- 16:13Speaker 2: And I think that's so I said, he's like bringing
- 16:16Speaker 2: a humor, not that he's making light of a situation
- 16:18Speaker 2: that is really hard on her, but he continues to
- 16:22Speaker 2: make her laugh in the midst of something very difficult,
- 16:24Speaker 2: which is is such a beautiful thing to witness from
- 16:28Speaker 2: social media, and I think such an like an incredible
- 16:31Speaker 2: role for him to play. It's it's absolutely spectacular. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 2: but it's also a situation where we're here thinking about
- 16:40Speaker 2: her lifting her up in prayer, lifting her up in
- 16:44Speaker 2: like support because it is it's extremely difficult. And I
- 16:49Speaker 2: saw her Instagram story today of you know, going through
- 16:52Speaker 2: the process of freezing.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Her eggs, which is demanding emotionally and physically as well.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, goodness like that. I mean we've talked to
- 17:00Speaker 2: people have done that before. It's very difficult. So Katie,
- 17:04Speaker 2: you're with us if you listen to this, or if
- 17:06Speaker 2: you see a headline that pops up, and then please,
- 17:09Speaker 2: if you're out there and you're somebody really I think
- 17:13Speaker 2: they say a man or woman, but especially women, but
- 17:16Speaker 2: a man or a woman, like check yourself for these
- 17:18Speaker 2: lumps that pop up in your body. And if you
- 17:20Speaker 2: have one, don't ignore it.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Check it.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Know your body, and don't just be like Ashley where
- 17:26Speaker 2: you're sitting here on a podcast all of a sudden
- 17:28Speaker 2: feeling yourself up and not thinking about why you're doing it.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Actually do it intentionally.
- 17:36Speaker 5: Oh that was a good moment. It was a good,
- 17:38Speaker 5: funny moment for us.
- 17:39Speaker 4: All right, guys, Well until next time, we love you.
- 17:44Speaker 5: I'm weird and I've been actually.
- 17:47Speaker 3: And I've been Ben, We'll talk to you soony.
