- 1:43Speaker 6: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 1:45Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 1:47Speaker 4: basket job, bust it out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 1:50Speaker 6: I just really needed to win, you know, sure your
- 1:52Speaker 6: little victories with us at seven oh one two and
- 1:56Speaker 6: one ninety eight seven.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And a big shout out this morning to Rebecca Angie.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Rebecca let us know this was yesterday, so I think
- 2:02Speaker 1: she texted it after the show, but she said, I
- 2:05Speaker 1: regularly go to the gym, but lately, like the past
- 2:08Speaker 1: two weeks, I've struggled a bit to go due to
- 2:11Speaker 1: school and my period. Today I finished having lunch a
- 2:14Speaker 1: bit later than usual. It was like three point thirty,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and I was afraid of going to the gym alone
- 2:19Speaker 1: because at four it gets so crowded and I don't
- 2:21Speaker 1: like crowded places like that. I was also thinking I'll
- 2:24Speaker 1: just go tomorrow, but then I went. I got my
- 2:28Speaker 1: little workout in and now I feel so good.
- 2:31Speaker 4: So congratulations, wow, and well Aunt Flow was in town.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I'm impressed, Rebecca.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Way to go, Rebecca, Angie. Do you have a little
- 2:39Speaker 2: victory today?
- 2:41Speaker 4: Yesterday I went to Costco and got the Kirkland signature baget,
- 2:49Speaker 4: the Coming Tooth, and I made myself the most incredible sandwich.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can't wait to tell you my
- 2:58Speaker 1: little victory today.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I made an incredible sandwich. That bread.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I'm a bread ho. I live for a good piece
- 3:07Speaker 4: of bread, and that Costco bag get it was calling
- 3:11Speaker 4: my name, and you, well, I'm not gonna lie. I
- 3:14Speaker 4: ate the entire bag get. Yeah, half of it, just
- 3:17Speaker 4: as is. I got my Aladdin and a boo on
- 3:20Speaker 4: and just ate half the bag get as a piece
- 3:23Speaker 4: of bread. And in the other half I made into
- 3:25Speaker 4: a sandwich. And I feel so good about it. It's
- 3:30Speaker 4: satisfied a craving.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I don't even know. I necessarily had it.
- 3:34Speaker 4: As bad as I had it, So that was like
- 3:36Speaker 4: the best thing that ever happened to me.
- 3:38Speaker 1: This has never happened before on Little Victories. Angie and
- 3:41Speaker 1: I never talked about him before. We never really share
- 3:45Speaker 1: what our ideas. I swear to God to you, my
- 3:47Speaker 1: little Victory is also about a sandwich that I made.
- 3:52Speaker 1: We got the bread, you know, the good kind where
- 3:54Speaker 1: you have to like cut it open. Yes, not just
- 3:57Speaker 1: regular sandwich rist bread exactly. This was the bread that
- 4:01Speaker 1: you have to cut and I kind of peel open yesterday.
- 4:05Speaker 1: For whatever reason, I was craving a tuna sandwich, like
- 4:09Speaker 1: the ones I used to have to make at Herbs
- 4:11Speaker 1: and Gerbs when I was a nineteen year old Herbert
- 4:13Speaker 1: and Gerbert's worker. Oh that's that thing, had lettuce it.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I put bacon on it, and it is so good.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I mean, it's incredible, and obviously you have the tune
- 4:25Speaker 1: on there.
- 4:25Speaker 2: For whatever reason, that's just what I was craving.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I don't know why, and I'll be damned if that
- 4:29Speaker 1: was not the best in which I've ever had in
- 4:31Speaker 1: my life.
- 4:32Speaker 4: I think this is a clear case of why we
- 4:34Speaker 4: call it little.
- 4:36Speaker 7: Fixt in the world of rules in Gray Areas, one
- 4:41Speaker 7: morning show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 4:44Speaker 8: We both know you're guilty, He's guilty is it legal,
- 4:48Speaker 8: You're guilty of the worst crime of all. On Big
- 4:51Speaker 8: ninety eight point seven.
- 4:55Speaker 1: This past Tuesday, Angie and I talked a little bit
- 4:59Speaker 1: about e by as the Fargo Police Department officer Maurice Schlack,
- 5:04Speaker 1: he came out and said there's a lot of confusion
- 5:06Speaker 1: over e bikes as they've received a lot of complaints
- 5:09Speaker 1: just about potentially like reckless riding or dangerous riding. So
- 5:14Speaker 1: normally here for is it legal, we make some jokes
- 5:16Speaker 1: about some goofy obscure law, or even if it's a
- 5:19Speaker 1: rather serious law, we still try to have a little
- 5:21Speaker 1: fun with it. We're right now just getting down to
- 5:23Speaker 1: the brass tax, Angie. There are three types of e bikes,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and yes, they are all treated a little bit differently.
- 5:30Speaker 1: So that's why you might see one e bike riding
- 5:33Speaker 1: around operating under one certain set of rules, yeah, and
- 5:36Speaker 1: another one riding around that has a completely different set
- 5:39Speaker 1: of rules. And this is great for parents if you
- 5:41Speaker 1: have grabbed an e bike for you and or your kid.
- 5:44Speaker 2: All right, I have two nephews who are.
- 5:46Speaker 1: They're like in they're like teenagers, they're a little bit
- 5:48Speaker 1: older who have and ride around on e bikes right,
- 5:51Speaker 1: Class one E bikes they only help you when you pedal,
- 5:56Speaker 1: and they top out at about twenty miles an hour.
- 5:59Speaker 1: And these are usually gonna be fine on your regular
- 6:01Speaker 1: bike paths and trails and sidewalks.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Okay. Class two E bikes.
- 6:07Speaker 1: These ones have a throttle so you can cruise without pedaling.
- 6:11Speaker 1: They still cap out at about twenty miles an hour.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You know, they got a little bit of a governor
- 6:15Speaker 1: on there. Now, these might be a little bit more restricted,
- 6:19Speaker 1: and it can be different depending on where you live.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I don't want to tell you what's right and wrong
- 6:22Speaker 1: because Minnesota, Fargo, Moorhead, it can be a little bit different. Okay,
- 6:27Speaker 1: Now these are a little bit more restricted, especially on
- 6:29Speaker 1: certain trails. Now, these are the speed demons. These are
- 6:33Speaker 1: the ones you see and you go, wow, that thing's fast.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Class three E bikes are these speed demons. Okay, their
- 6:41Speaker 1: pedal assists only, but they can go up to twenty
- 6:44Speaker 1: eight miles an hour, so almost as fast as you
- 6:47Speaker 1: can when you're driving down I'll pick a street. Yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 1: twenty eight that's thirty thirty five miles an hour. Now,
- 6:54Speaker 1: because these are so fast, they are often limited to
- 6:58Speaker 1: roads or bike Clanes, and if you have a Class
- 7:02Speaker 1: three e bike you will need to wear a helmet.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Now Here in Fargo you have to be fourteen or
- 7:07Speaker 1: older to ride any kind of e bike.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, interesting because I feel like I've seen either
- 7:15Speaker 4: they're just very small for their age, or I see some.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Love breakers love breakers in this building. Yeah.
- 7:22Speaker 1: So you know Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Maybe you've talked about, Hey, what if we get some
- 7:26Speaker 1: e bikes for Mother's Day. Maybe we'll just rent them,
- 7:28Speaker 1: or maybe we'll buy some and it'll just be a
- 7:30Speaker 1: fun thing.
- 7:31Speaker 2: We all do this up with the family.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Yeah, So if.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You do go into the e bike community, you'll have
- 7:37Speaker 1: to just make sure you know what class of.
- 7:39Speaker 2: E bike you have. Yeah, and or the restrictions on
- 7:43Speaker 2: can this go on the sidewalk? Can this not?
- 7:45Speaker 5: Now?
- 7:46Speaker 2: In Fargo.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I can't say the same for Morehead, But in Fargo,
- 7:49Speaker 1: as far as I know, e bikes are perfectly fine
- 7:52Speaker 1: on the sidewalk. It's more of just do you need
- 7:54Speaker 1: a helmet or not with Oh, so, if you go
- 7:57Speaker 1: into the e bike world, just make sure you know
- 7:59Speaker 1: exactly what class you have and the rules that go
- 8:01Speaker 1: with it. Hopefully that helped you out just a little bit.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It is clean up week in the FM area. I
- 8:08Speaker 1: will be having something picked up from the end of
- 8:09Speaker 1: my driveway today.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Oh really, I couldn't look I.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Couldn't be looking more forward. I couldn't look forward. I'm
- 8:15Speaker 1: just glad the thing's gonna be gone. Okay, that's what
- 8:17Speaker 1: I'm happy about. And we wanted to know what's the
- 8:20Speaker 1: strangest thing you have seen at the end of someone's driveway.
- 8:24Speaker 2: This is up on Facebook.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You can text us or call us at seven oh
- 8:26Speaker 1: one two eight to zero one nine eight seven.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Angie, I got a little game I want to play
- 8:30Speaker 2: with you.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Oh what I saw something and it's like, I don't know,
- 8:35Speaker 1: three four blocks down from my house. I saw this
- 8:38Speaker 1: on the way home from work yesterday, Okay, And I
- 8:41Speaker 1: want you to try to guess what it is that
- 8:43Speaker 1: I saw. Give you a couple questions, and if you
- 8:46Speaker 1: are in your car listening and you're like, oh, I
- 8:49Speaker 1: want to figure out what this is, you can also
- 8:51Speaker 1: ask some questions and I'll try to answer them and
- 8:53Speaker 1: we'll see if we can figure this out together.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Yes, please do Okay? So are they yes or no? Questions?
- 8:58Speaker 2: Sure? Yeah, that probably be awesome.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Okay, is it something that you wear?
- 9:06Speaker 2: No, you would not wear this item.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Is it heavy?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Ooh, that'd be hard to answer.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Okay, so I would say I would guess like I
- 9:22Speaker 1: could lift it probably. Okay, So it's not crazy heavy,
- 9:26Speaker 1: but I don't know what is in it.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Well, okay, Gabe thinks he's a big strong man. That's right.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I did twenty push ups yesterday.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Right, you can't. You don't wear it.
- 9:36Speaker 4: It has some heft to it, is it?
- 9:43Speaker 2: Oh?
- 9:44Speaker 3: Is it bigger than a toddler?
- 9:49Speaker 8: Oh?
- 9:52Speaker 1: No, I now if I've walked right up to it
- 9:54Speaker 1: and maybe measured it, maybe, but i'd I.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Regret my questions.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, yeah, do you want three more?
- 10:01Speaker 6: No?
- 10:02Speaker 3: I think all right.
- 10:03Speaker 4: So the three criteria we have to work with right
- 10:06Speaker 4: now is that you don't wear it.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Not massive. I'll give you one hint.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know what's in it, but you'd probably
- 10:12Speaker 1: put something in it.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Oh, okay, you don't wear it. It could be heavy
- 10:18Speaker 4: and you probably put something in it.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Do I have time to like? Do I need to
- 10:23Speaker 3: guess right now?
- 10:24Speaker 8: Can you help me?
- 10:25Speaker 4: Seven oh one two eight o one nine eight seven
- 10:27Speaker 4: with these clues. Can you call or text what you think.
- 10:30Speaker 3: This could be?
- 10:31Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe help Angie out with some questions and we'll
- 10:33Speaker 1: have those coming up for you next year on Big
- 10:35Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Will narrow this down. I've never seen anything like this,
- 10:38Speaker 2: and I can't tell if it's a prank or not,
- 10:40Speaker 2: but it's kind of funny.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so many things to think about now.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll have that next on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I saw I don't even really know how to explain
- 10:52Speaker 1: what it was, but the strangest thing I've ever seen
- 10:54Speaker 1: put out for clean up week here in Fargo, and
- 10:57Speaker 1: I want Angie to try to guess what it is.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Now you've asked a couple questions. Is it like the
- 11:01Speaker 2: size of a toddler?
- 11:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 11:04Speaker 4: Where what we've established is that it's not something that
- 11:07Speaker 4: you wear. It has some weight to it and you
- 11:12Speaker 4: can put something in it.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Can I ask one question that isn't yes or no?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Sure, I think that'd be fair.
- 11:20Speaker 3: What color is it?
- 11:21Speaker 2: I's say tan, like a brown.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gonna guess that it's an urn, like an
- 11:30Speaker 4: urn where you put ashes.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Of a loved one.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's not a bad guess that'd be a wild thing
- 11:34Speaker 2: to put out for cycle.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Right, you said it was kind of strange. You seem
- 11:38Speaker 3: nothing like.
- 11:39Speaker 1: So it's not an urn, No, it is not. I
- 11:41Speaker 1: can't tell you. This was a prank. And this is
- 11:43Speaker 1: kind of a trick question a little bit angie because
- 11:45Speaker 1: what I saw was a box. Okay, just a cardboard box.
- 11:49Speaker 1: But it's not the box that was that was weird
- 11:52Speaker 1: about it. On the box it said in bold letters,
- 11:57Speaker 1: do not open. Hey, how did the clean up people
- 12:03Speaker 1: know what to do with this thing?
- 12:06Speaker 3: What it wouldn't say do not open?
- 12:08Speaker 2: It's just a mystery box, I guess.
- 12:11Speaker 4: So it's a box back to close and it says
- 12:15Speaker 4: do not open, and it's put at the sir, that's
- 12:18Speaker 4: dead body.
- 12:19Speaker 1: We've got your trenders in six or in three minutes
- 12:22Speaker 1: here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Whoever did that?
- 12:24Speaker 1: I don't know if it's a prank or if they're
- 12:26Speaker 1: going to pick it up at some point, but I hope.
- 12:28Speaker 3: The clean I mean, I want to open that now.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I want to know what's in it.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:33Speaker 1: We have got the Boots and Booze pub crawl this weekend,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and we're looking forward to Saturday it's gonna be a
- 12:39Speaker 1: lot of fun in downtown Fargo.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Yeah, big thanks to surf Side, because without them, this
- 12:43Speaker 4: pub crawl wouldn't be happening. Also, the Bridge's apartments, they've
- 12:47Speaker 4: got us hooked up with the passports because you want
- 12:50Speaker 4: to get your pub crawl passport stamped all the way
- 12:53Speaker 4: through for your chance to win concert tickets which include
- 12:57Speaker 4: we Best Tickets. And then of course brimm by Meg
- 13:00Speaker 4: is gonna have her custom hat bar at the Old
- 13:03Speaker 4: Broadway at two pm.
- 13:04Speaker 3: So it's gonna be a whole time downtown this Saturday.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And a big reminder, the event is free, so you
- 13:10Speaker 1: don't have to pay for anything other than obviously what
- 13:13Speaker 1: you may eat or drink. And do you have to
- 13:16Speaker 1: dress up in you know, your Nashville best?
- 13:19Speaker 2: Absolutely not, No, you can. It's gonna be fun.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I mean, who doesn't love a theme.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I know that I will be dressed as much in
- 13:26Speaker 4: theme as humanly possible.
- 13:28Speaker 3: But the whole point is to just have a good time.
- 13:30Speaker 1: That's right now, Angie, We're gonna have a little would
- 13:32Speaker 1: you rather Boots and booze pub crawl editions. Okay, we're
- 13:36Speaker 1: gonna learn a lot about Angie here in the next
- 13:38Speaker 1: two minutes.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I'm scared.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Would you rather two step with a stranger who thinks
- 13:43Speaker 1: they're amazing at dancing? Or you have to take a
- 13:47Speaker 1: surprise turn singing karaoke and singing this song but there's
- 13:51Speaker 1: no lyrics on the screen. Okay, so dancing with someone
- 13:55Speaker 1: who thinks they're good at dancing or singing a little
- 13:56Speaker 1: Darth Brooks.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Oh this is friends in Low Places, but there's no
- 14:01Speaker 4: words on the screen.
- 14:02Speaker 2: No words on the screen.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Oh man, you know what I think.
- 14:06Speaker 4: I'm gonna choose the two step because I can't dance
- 14:09Speaker 4: at all. But if my partner also can't dance, who
- 14:12Speaker 4: doesn't like to have company and being a fool, you
- 14:16Speaker 4: know what I mean, Like, it won't just be me.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Hopefully they'll be worse than I am and they'll take
- 14:21Speaker 4: some of.
- 14:21Speaker 3: The heat off me.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you have a nice bonding moment. Yeah, all right, Angie.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Would you rather ride the mechanical bull for a full
- 14:27Speaker 1: eight seconds and post the video online forever or have
- 14:30Speaker 1: to wear a giant rhinestone cowboy hat all weekend?
- 14:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with the bull riding.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Really, Yes, I have a small head and I don't
- 14:42Speaker 4: wear hats for this reason. I feel hats bring attention
- 14:45Speaker 4: to the fact that my head is tiny, but then
- 14:47Speaker 4: my shoulders are really broad.
- 14:49Speaker 3: So I kind of look like a hen.
- 14:50Speaker 4: It's a whole complex I've had for a long time,
- 14:53Speaker 4: so I can't have a big rhymestone hat on.
- 14:57Speaker 3: And I've written a mechanical bull before.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I'm pretty good, Gabe, I'm I'm going both at the
- 15:03Speaker 1: same time.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Give me the hat and the bowl, all right? Two
- 15:06Speaker 2: more for you, Angie.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Would you rather accidentally at the end of the Boots
- 15:10Speaker 1: and Booze Pub Crawl.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I probably know the answer to this already.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Would you rather accidentally text your ex you up while
- 15:16Speaker 1: you meant to text your boss?
- 15:19Speaker 2: Or loudly call.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Every server on the Boots and Booze Pub Crawl darlin
- 15:25Speaker 1: at every single restaurant you go to, and you gotta
- 15:28Speaker 1: do it for the rest of the week.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I'm calling everybody darling.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And then, finally, would you rather be forced to line
- 15:35Speaker 1: dance in front of a packed bar until you get
- 15:37Speaker 1: it right, which you have kind of sort of done
- 15:40Speaker 1: something along those lines before, or you have to clap
- 15:44Speaker 1: enthusiastically to a ten minute ban Joe solo with no
- 15:48Speaker 1: break in front of a very quiet.
- 15:50Speaker 8: Bar starting off the day. It's something good.
- 16:01Speaker 7: This is Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Every time I hear that, I laugh.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I always think of when we joke around about I
- 16:09Speaker 1: need some good news, Gaby. Well, Yeah, there's a Fargo
- 16:14Speaker 1: organization built on kindness that is celebrating a major milestone.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Heart and Soul Community Cafe is marking ten years of
- 16:22Speaker 1: serving fresh, locally sourced meals to the community through its
- 16:25Speaker 1: pay what you can food truck.
- 16:28Speaker 2: This was founded by Leola Doll.
- 16:30Speaker 1: The nonprofit has served more than thirty five thousand meals
- 16:34Speaker 1: and fifty five thousand sack lunches over the past decade,

- 16:54Speaker 9: together to serve others in the community, and that's that's
- 16:57Speaker 9: one reason I knew a community cafe would work, is
- 17:00Speaker 9: because I know Fargo's a very generous and giving community,
- 17:04Speaker 9: as you know, and but then there's also people that
- 17:08Speaker 9: need help, and you don't always know who that is.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Organizers say the mission has always been simple, make sure
- 17:15Speaker 1: everyone has access to a healthy meal and maybe even
- 17:18Speaker 1: introduce a few kids to salads along the way.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I love this.
- 17:22Speaker 4: I grew up with food insecurity in my home and
- 17:26Speaker 4: it's terrible, and so to see coming together, a whole
- 17:31Speaker 4: community coming together to help end that is beautiful.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Ten you'res strong. Here's to another ten years once again.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Heart and Soul Community Cafe, Broken Crans. They still color
