- 0:00One of the arguments against faith is the story of creation
- 0:04is inconsistent with science. Science says they can prove that
- 0:08evolution exists, but religionists argue that the
- 0:12story of Adam is merely stating that God is a grand designer and
- 0:17the story of creation is but an abbreviated narrative that
- 0:20covers a long stretch of time. OK, so how do we reconcile
- 0:25creation with modern science and why is it important?
- 0:30It's important because people who believe we are endowed or
- 0:34designed by our creator are in fact marginalized by the secular
- 0:39view of creation, which of course is accidental causation.
- 0:44Hence we have The Big Bang theory, which has been the
- 0:47dominant theory in education in the West for at least 100 years,
- 0:52which most non religious people believe is that life arose
- 0:56spontaneously without any help from any kind of guiding hand or
- 1:01as Bill Gates would say. I mean, you believe in science,
- 1:04don't you? I mean, what are we talking
- 1:06about here? Do you believe in science or
- 1:08not? And that's the attitude of most
- 1:10scientists today. OK, so let's take on the
- 1:13challenge. Let's say that scientists are
- 1:16right and that all the universe did come from an instantaneous
- 1:20Big Bang that would, from a single energy system, contain
- 1:23all of the potentials of life. Would this hypothesis negate the
- 1:28need of a divine or enormously advanced being of enormous
- 1:33intelligence? What proof would there need to
- 1:36be to prove intelligent design? Now, if this is a question upon
- 1:40which your faith depends, then you'll want to stick around
- 1:44because that's exactly what we're going to talk about on
- 1:46this episode of the Rancher Radio Podcast.
- 1:50Now to my friends who enjoy this program, thank you.
- 1:53Our audience has grown 22% from last year.
- 1:56People from 42 countries are now listening to this podcast on a
- 2:01regular basis, which means people are interested in knowing
- 2:04more about the Urantia book Revelation.
- 2:06And that's why we're here. Hang on, if you travel and you
- 2:10want to save money, keep things simple, then I highly recommend
- 2:14you use the sponsor of this program, Low Cost Air.
- 2:17It's not a website, it's a phone call and a real human who books
- 2:21your flight looking for the lowest price.
- 2:24Here's the number and you may want to write it down.
- 2:27It's 800-654-0759. Again, 800-654-0759.
- 2:54I thought we could have some fun with science in the Urantia
- 2:57book. You know, one of the criticisms
- 2:59of the Urantia book is that it doesn't appear altogether
- 3:02scientific. And I was listening and scanning
- 3:06some information. I'll play a little bit later.
- 3:08There's a scientist, obviously an astronomer has a lot of
- 3:11knowledge about the way the the Galaxy works and functions.
- 3:15He's going to come along and, and, and I'll play a clip for
- 3:18you where he describes how black holes are evidence of God's
- 3:23creation. And the way that he explains it
- 3:25is, is very interesting. And it also substantiates what I
- 3:28was reading today in, in the opening of where it talks about
- 3:31the beginnings of life on our world.
- 3:33And one of the, one of the comments that it makes, and I
- 3:36wanted to address it real quickly here.
- 3:39I, I ran across this statement where it talks about how the
- 3:41life carriers had to introduce a life form that could be
- 3:45sustained on our world based on the design of, of our
- 3:48environment. And there was a, a statement
- 3:51that said all ancestral life, vegetable and animal evolved in
- 3:56a salt solution habitat. And even the more highly
- 3:59organized land animals could not continue to live did not the
- 4:03same essential salt solution circulate throughout their
- 4:07bodies in the bloodstreams which freely bathed literally
- 4:11submerses every tiny living cell in this briny deep?
- 4:16So that's the quote from the Urantia book talking about how
- 4:19we have the salt in our bodies and that all life on Earth
- 4:23originated from a salt solution habitat.
- 4:27Sodium chloride was introduced and projected to be the chemical
- 4:31substance that the life carriers would use when they introduced
- 4:35life on our planet. Again, God, God's design.
- 4:40I was curious about that quote and I wanted to, I wanted to get
- 4:45confirmation if that statement is true.
- 4:48The statement that says that all ancestral life, vegetable and
- 4:51animal evolved in a salt solution habitat.
- 4:55And so I, I did a Google search on this and I, I was confirmed.
- 5:01The statement is actually factual.
- 5:03In fact, AI says the statement is broadly factual with a few
- 5:08scientific clarifications. The response says why it's
- 5:12essentially true. That statement that all our
- 5:14early life involved evolved in a salt water environment.
- 5:20It states the earliest light life forms we know arose in
- 5:23Earth's ocean, which are salt water.
- 5:25This is supported by geology, biology, and evolutionary
- 5:28science. The oceans provided the chemical
- 5:32stability required for early biochemistry, so the claim that
- 5:36all ancestral life evolved in a salt solution habitat is
- 5:42factually correct. Number 2, The eternal fluids of
- 5:45land animals are chemically similar to ancient seawater.
- 5:50Vertebrate blood plasma and interstitial fluid contain
- 5:54sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, magnesium,
- 5:59biocarbonate. These electrolyte concentrations
- 6:04mirror the chemistry of early oceans.
- 6:08Scientists often say mammals carry the ocean within them.
- 6:12Life moved on to land but retained an internal an internal
- 6:16ocean like salt environment for its cells #3 All complex land
- 6:22animals require a salt based internal medium.
- 6:26Every cell in a vertebrate body is immersed in interstitial
- 6:30fluid which is a salt solution. Muscles, nerves and metabolism
- 6:35all depend on electrolyte gradients.
- 6:38Without salt solution, nerves cannot fire, muscles cannot
- 6:41contract, cells cannot regulate water, blood cannot transport
- 6:46nutrients. So the statement that land
- 6:49animals could not continue to live without this salt solution
- 6:52circulating throughout their bodies is also biologically
- 6:57correct. So in essence, the statement in
- 7:02the Oranja book is absolutely true.
- 7:06And the paper that I'm referring to, paper 58 section one, goes
- 7:10on to say that your primitive ancestors freely circulated
- 7:14about in the salty ocean. Today the same ocean like salty
- 7:18solution freely circulates about in your bodies, bathing each
- 7:22individual cell with a chemical liquid in all essentials
- 7:27comparable to the salt water which stimulated the first
- 7:30protoplasmic reactions of the first living cells to function
- 7:35on the planet. And that's the explanation of
- 7:40early life forms and what they projected as what they call the
- 7:46life carriers projected a sodium chloride pattern of life.
- 7:50But it also adds that the life carriers had to patiently wait
- 7:53until the the oceans became sufficiently briny.
- 7:58And that took a long, long time, hundreds of millions of years,
- 8:02in fact. Another interesting thing that
- 8:05leads to this sound bite that I'll play is the this idea of of
- 8:11how the universe is constructed. Now, the Urantia book says that
- 8:15these dark islands of space, which is how it refers to it in
- 8:20the 30s when the Urantia book was written, we call them black
- 8:24holes, dark islands of space and black holes are essentially the
- 8:28same thing. They're they're they're dark,
- 8:30you can't see them and they have immense gravity.
- 8:34And in part because many of these dark islands or or black
- 8:38holes have different origins. Some are of former sons that
- 8:43have condensed and becomes so heavy with iron that they, they,
- 8:47the gravitational pull actually pulls in mass from the
- 8:51surrounding area in that cosmic neighborhood.
- 8:55And I'm not sure who this man is, but the Urantia book states
- 8:59everything that this man is saying here in the year 2025,
- 9:03thanks to our telescopes and all of our survey equipment.
- 9:07And it corroborates what the Urantia book was writing about
- 9:10in 1934. So I want you to take a listen
- 9:13to this. It's, it's a little bit long,
- 9:15but it's it's really a scientist saying that there's no way, no,
- 9:20absolutely no way that all of the universe is accidental
- 9:24causation. Take a take a listen to this.
- 9:28Black holes is evidence of God's care making the point that we're
- 9:32living in a Galaxy. You have to be living in a big
- 9:35spiral Galaxy for advanced light to be possible.
- 9:39But the bigger the Galaxy, the bigger the black hole at its
- 9:42core and the more dangerous it is.
- 9:45But for a variety of reasons, our Milky Way Galaxy has a black
- 9:49hole that's 40 times smaller than it should be.
- 9:53It's the only big Galaxy. It's got such a tiny central
- 9:56black hole. And it's because we've had no
- 9:59major merger event or the dwarf Galaxy in the last 11 billion
- 10:03years. And we have such a tiny black
- 10:06hole. And what's interesting too is
- 10:08you go back a million, 2,000,000 years ago it was consuming big
- 10:13asteroid and comet like bodies. Today it's consuming tiny ones.
- 10:18And so during the human era, we have a very quiet small black
- 10:23hole in its core. And likewise, the Andromeda
- 10:27Galaxy, which is another big spiral Galaxy, It's super
- 10:31massive black hole is the right size, 40 times bigger than one
- 10:34in our Milky Way Galaxy. But currently it's in the
- 10:38quietest space it's ever been. And if it wasn't, we wouldn't be
- 10:42able to have this podcast really.
- 10:44And likewise, you look at all the other super massive black
- 10:47holes in the vicinity of our Milky Way Galaxy.
- 10:51It's all designed in such a way that we can safely exist here on
- 10:56planet Earth. And yet many of the elements in
- 11:00your body that are essential for you to live, they're only
- 11:04constructed when neutron stars merge together to become black
- 11:08holes. So if you don't get adequately
- 11:10exposed our solar system to black holes when it's forming,
- 11:15we won't have the heavy elements you need to have human beings.
- 11:19And so everywhere we look with black holes, we see it's all
- 11:23amazingly designed so that we can thrive at this moment in
- 11:27cosmic history here on planet Earth.
- 11:30And yet many of the elements in your body that are essential for
- 11:34you to live, they're only constructed when neutron stars
- 11:38merge together to become black holes.
- 11:41So if you don't get adequately exposed our solar system to
- 11:45black holes when it's forming, we won't have the heavy elements
- 11:49you need to have human beings. And so everywhere we look with
- 11:53black holes, we see it's all amazingly designed so that we
- 11:57can thrive at this moment in cosmic history here on planet
- 12:01Earth. And that also speaks to not just
- 12:04our life, but the life of of hundreds, if not thousands of
- 12:07other worlds that are enjoying the same propitious environment
- 12:11that allows life to exist. And, and it is a delicate
- 12:15process indeed. Let me read to you just a couple
- 12:18more paragraphs from paper 58 on the life establishment of our
- 12:22world. They write the Earth's
- 12:24atmosphere is all but opaque to much of your solar radiation.
- 12:28At the extreme ultraviolet end of the spectrum.
- 12:31Most of these short wavelengths are absorbed by a layer of ozone
- 12:35which exists through throughout a level about 10 miles above the
- 12:38surface of the Earth and which extends space work for another
- 12:4210 miles. The ozone permeating this region
- 12:46at condition prevailing on the Earth's surface would make a
- 12:49layer only 110th of an inch thick.
- 12:53Nevertheless, this relatively small and apparently
- 12:56insignificant amount of ozone protects Urantia inhabitants
- 13:00from the excess of these dangerous and destructive
- 13:03ultraviolet radiations present in sunlight.
- 13:07But were this ozone layer just A trifle thicker, you would be
- 13:11deprived of all the highly important and health giving
- 13:14ultraviolet rays which now reach the Earth's surface, and which
- 13:19are ancestral to one of the most essential of your vitamins.
- 13:24And yet some of the less imaginative of your mortal
- 13:27mechanists insist on viewing material creation and human
- 13:32evolution as an accident. The Uranch Midwayers have
- 13:37assembled over 50,000 facts of physics and chemistry which they
- 13:42deemed to be incompatible with the laws of accidental chance,
- 13:46and which they contend unmistakably demonstrate the
- 13:50presence of intelligence, purpose or intelligent purpose
- 13:54in the material creation. Your Son pours forth a veritable
- 14:00flood of death dealing rays, and your pleasant life on your
- 14:04rancher is due to the fortuitous influence of more than two
- 14:09score, apparently accidental protective operations similar to
- 14:13the actions of this unique ozone layer.
- 14:17Were it not for the blanketing effect of the atmosphere at
- 14:20night, heat would be lost by radiation so rapidly that life
- 14:24would be impossible of maintenance except by artificial
- 14:28provision, Essentially all corroborating one another that
- 14:34this is a grand design. It's not accidental.
- 14:37And I hope that that's convincing to you to consider
- 14:41that what that scientist says with your rancher book puts out
- 14:46tells us that we live in a in a carefully orchestrated
- 14:49existence, certainly not one that is a result of accidental
- 14:53causation. So we have a little bit of fun
