- 0:00Speaker 1: Bells across the snows, Oh Christmas, Merry Christmas, Is it
- 0:06Speaker 1: really come again? With its memories and greetings, with its
- 0:10Speaker 1: joy and with its pain. There's a miner in the carol,
- 0:15Speaker 1: and a shadow in the light, and a spray of
- 0:18Speaker 1: cypress twining with the holly wreath tonight, and the hush
- 0:23Speaker 1: is never broken by laughter, light and low as we
- 0:27Speaker 1: listen in the starlight to the bells across the snow,
- 0:32Speaker 1: Oh Christmas, Merry Christmas. Tis not so very long since
- 0:37Speaker 1: other voices blended with the carol and the song. If
- 0:41Speaker 1: we could but hear them singing as they are singing now,
- 0:44Speaker 1: if we could but see the radiance of the crown
- 0:47Speaker 1: on each dear brow, there would be no sigh to smother,
- 0:52Speaker 1: no hidden tear to flow as we listen in the
- 0:56Speaker 1: starlight to the bells across the snow, Oh Christmas, Merry Christmas.
- 1:03Speaker 1: This never more can be. We cannot bring again the
- 1:07Speaker 1: days of our unshadowed glee. But Christmas, Happy Christmas, sweet
- 1:13Speaker 1: Herald of good Will, with holy songs of glory, brings
- 1:18Speaker 1: holy gladness still, for peace and hope may brighten, and
- 1:23Speaker 1: patient love may glow. As we listen in the starlight
- 1:28Speaker 1: to the bells across the snow.
