- 0:00[SPEAKER_05]: How many times would you say you've broken a hundred K in the various businesses you've been a part of?
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Several times.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_05]: Welcome to the department, Joy, serial entrepreneur, multiple seven figure entrepreneur.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_05]: I just want to tap into your insight, your genius around breaking that hundred K mark.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: I had to pay my rent.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: I went through a divorce.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: My husband took everything, locked me out of my businesses.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: I got to do something.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: People don't want the flood.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want the cute graphics.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: And this is, you know, it's like, your business is going to be right.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: They want the real.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: And the more authentic and real you can be in unique, the quicker it is to get it applied or when they're over here.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_05]: A lot of people do struggle with imposter syndrome or even the concept of like, why would anybody want to learn from me?
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: Your target audience is going to be you five years ago.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: If you could just break down in a simple format, how you got from ABC and D, millions of people just want to get to where you are.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_05]: A lot of people who start just making money on the side, maybe they're not entrepreneurs.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_05]: Should everyone try starting their own business?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my use may differ a little.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Entrepreneurs.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: I, and every business I've done.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_05]: Welcome to the department, Joy.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_05]: Welcome to Las Vegas.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_05]: So, guys, the fit is heavenly.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_05]: Like, actually, it's a vibe.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_05]: So excited, Jaron.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_05]: You're a very interesting person in the sense of all you've been able to accomplish and
- 1:34[SPEAKER_05]: you know, serial entrepreneur, multiple seven figure entrepreneur, and you're even, you've taken a lot of in-person business stuff, and now you're starting your online business.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_05]: And I just want to tap into your insight, your genius around breaking that hundred K mark.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_05]: And like how many times would you say you've broken a hundred K in the various businesses you've been a part of?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Several times.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, several times.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_05]: So there's probably a pattern of things people are experiencing because that is a goal.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_05]: Whether it's a hundred K in revenue a year or it's like ten thousand dollar months.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like that's a very, you know, new business owner kind of desire.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, what would you say?
- 2:15[SPEAKER_05]: Some keys in regards to like the things you've discovered on a pattern wise to break through that hundred K. Consistency.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: So really all you're doing is the same thing you started with just on a larger scale.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: So if you can make ten dollars whatever you do to make ten dollars do that same thing just ten more times and now you can make a hundred it's this the same thing and we're just scaling it.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_05]: And then so let's just say I'm a photographer and I charge a hundred bucks for a photo shoot.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_05]: Like, well, how would you encourage that person to get to ten K a month if like for that person to get to ten K, the thought in their mind is like, I'll have to do a hundred of these.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_05]: Is that right, math?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_05]: Is that right, ma?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_05]: Let's go, ma.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not the math girl, but think of your business as having multiple buckets.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: So how can I fill up multiple buckets doing the same or ancillary things?
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm a photographer, I can only make so much money, excluding time for money, but how many other people out here would like to be a photographer?
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: I can teach someone how to become a photographer.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: What's the equipment?
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: What do I charge?
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: Now that could be a course that can teach new entrepreneurs how to start the business.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: Then you may have some photographers that don't, you know, expand their business and you have.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: So that could be a higher tiered course.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: So all you're doing is doing the getting one thing and then just trying to duplicate that multiple times.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_05]: in the in the info space.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_05]: So somebody who is like you giving the permission like you could teach somebody how to do the thing you know how to do a lot of people's do struggle with like.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_05]: Like in posture syndrome or even the concept of like why would anybody want to learn from me.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: So your target audience is going to be you five years ago.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: So you don't have to be the experience with the number one person doing it, top to the person who was five years ago.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: The person five years ago is probably struggling with believing that they could start the business, had no idea where to go, got on YouTube, university and was just
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: everywhere because you know you can get from one video to one thing you don't know where to go.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: So if you could just break down in a simple format how you got from A, B, C, and D millions of people just want to get to where you are.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_05]: That's good.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_05]: I have found five years when you're when you're building your business like this.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_05]: looking back could be difficult because it's so far ago and you most people when they're building their thing.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_05]: They are they aren't as self aware of what they are building because they're just going with the flow correct.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, what are some things that you could do to like.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_05]: kind of get your memory back on like oh yeah I remember that was a hurdle you know because you get sometimes you get good and we forget that it was it was more than just time it was it was experience it was going back and forth with clients like all those things it because that is that is true like you could sell something to someone
- 5:29[SPEAKER_05]: who was five years behind you, but if I were to do that now, that would be like a tough little situation to try to unpack.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_05]: How can I get very clear on those five years ago?
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: I would say bring up three to five pain points or three to five common questions that you're currently getting.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_02]: So people keep saying, if you keep getting, how do I start a YouTube age?
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: How do I know what equipment to do?
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: People will tell you what it is that they're needing and you just answer those questions.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: But if you take the time and think back,
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: The nice that you were crying, the nice that you were stressed out, the nice that you was like, I don't know how about to make this.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's what you want to speak to those pain points.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: When you almost gave up,
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: What was it that you needed to resolve this?
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: Go back, you have to go back to that person and that's what you sell.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: And they're going to buy it over and over and over again, because it's real.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's authentic.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: People don't want the fluff, right?
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want the cute graphics.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: And this is, you know, start your business.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: They want the real and the more authentic and real you can be in unique and speak to that pain point, the quicker it is to get a client over and over again.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_05]: Well, what have you found out are the biggest pain points of newer entrepreneurs?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest pain point is number one, everything has to be perfect.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I can't start until I have the website, the website, the logo, the lies, the equipment, like just make money by Monday.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: Just do so today.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_05]: The launch, the word launch.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_05]: has messed up people's stuff because people don't realize that someone's going to find you a year from now and forgot that you no one even know that you actually exactly it's irrelevant like somebody's watching this podcast and I've been around for two years just doing the podcast.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_05]: But when I like but if I if I made it all about the launch, I might not be here right because you face out, but that's where okay, a perfectionism.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: Perfectionism, another thing would be, what do I say?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what do I do?
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they want someone to give them step-by-step-by-step-by-step-by-step-by-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step-step
- 7:59[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, the revelation comes in the activity.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, which, um, yeah, it's, it's crazy how, because now you're causing me to think back to when I was, you know, getting started and stuff and it, and it's okay to know that you're getting started because it's making you who you're going to be for example, you're called to serve.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_05]: Like most people when they start, they usually charge low because they feel like that's what they have to.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_05]: Where's that when it comes to like positioning yourself in the market as a low ticket person or cheaper option versus a premium option?
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my use may differ a little.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_05]: No, I want your views.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I, in every business I've done, my car dealerships, Harris Lons, here boutiques, uh, tax, everything I've done has been in that affordable, low entry, low bearer, barrier fruit model.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I do the volume game.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: I also believe in tiered pricing.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I have some low hanging fruit, something in the middle and then something for someone who's like ready to go.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I think if you do tiered, you know, you can kind of get someone everywhere in that in those prices.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: But that's where my expertise is.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because because when you go lower ticket, it does, I mean, for sustainability, you have to do volume.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_05]: And then how do you create those next levels of tears?
- 9:31[SPEAKER_05]: Because then what tends to happen is people go, you know, how do you reserve the information you share in this group as opposed to sharing what you share in the next group?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_05]: Like, how you determine the information, because that's what people think or the experience or what have you.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's the information because I believe in over-delivering, right?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I over give value.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: I believe the tears will be either more access to you or helping them implement what it is that you're teaching them.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: So people are going to pay more to help me actually incorporate what you're saying to do, not just giving me the information.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_05]: What are some similarities and differences you've seen between a lot of your brick and mortar type businesses and things for people building an online business?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: I believe in gorilla market marketing.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to be in your face.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like how fast I was going to text you email you to know white love to your house.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like I believe in in your face marketing get your get your brand up their post multiple times a day beyond the stories beyond Instagram live.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: When I was in my brick and more to be up street team.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be on the radio.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're going to hear you're going to be tired of hearing about my I believe in gorilla marketing.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: marketing to me is the same being consistent.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's all the same principles, it's just different vehicles.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: So a brick and mortar, I'm concerned with this area making it hot where online is like, well, shoot, it's like the whole world.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's funnels and it's all this news.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: So I had no idea what it was to get someone to be able to buy for me versus just coming into my brick and mortar store.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: So that would be, I could think a difference.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, I see you show up a lot and you post a lot on stories and stuff.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_05]: How did you get over that initially?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_05]: I think sometimes people get in their own heads when it comes to showing up consistently.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: I had to pay my rent.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: I went through a divorce, my husband took everything, locked me out of my businesses, and February of year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year, year,
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: They say you can make money online.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, hey, I'm about to go online and start talking about LLCs and how to run a business and make something shake.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I said no one knew about me.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: I had like ten thousand Instagram followers.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I have to now go and make some noise.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_02]: I said every single day, I'm going to post three times on Instagram.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go live every single day.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: Now, live was hard because I didn't have a lot of followers.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I used to put a posting on the top right part of the camera.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I would not know how many people were wrong.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I would have like a little posted, like a little flash car.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to talk about these three contracts with these three things.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I was just going on live.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: And basically, I was like doing a presentation.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: on these to, I didn't answer any comments.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't even looking on the comments.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: I was scared.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's someone going to come.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's someone now.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: I just give information.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just, you know, every single night of this give information, give information, give information.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_05]: That's a good muscle to work on because even when nobody's watching, you're training your ability to create without having it to be edited, which I think when people when most people who step into creating content entrepreneurs or creators, the idea that this can be edited,
- 13:05[SPEAKER_05]: kind of messes with the delivery.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_05]: Because then you're like, shoot, I have to start over.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_05]: But when you're alive, you're like, let's roll.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_05]: And in a world where, especially educators, especially people who are teaching online, nobody wants a polished learning experience.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: We want a human who's gone through the reps and done the things that just show us the way.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_05]: And so I think that's a really good.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_05]: You just gave a, I would imagine if people just did that for a year.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just show up.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: Don't worry about anything else.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: Just show up and give and give value.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then post the live on your pain.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I think what helped me grow so fast was when you came to my page, I had so much content.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: So you could just binge on my content.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: And that's you getting to know me like, Oh,
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: She's this, she's that she teaches out this.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of like watching a whole Netflix series.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like you watched the entire series.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm so when is the next season, right?
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: So the more content you have on your page, the more someone can know like and trust you and get that by now, but yeah.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_05]: And most of the time when people start their business, which by the way, this is actually something I wrote down was the passion thing.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_05]: Like, with you having been involved with various different things, because most of us start businesses from within, and then we get very emotional.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_05]: And that's why we do everything and that's why we, that's why we're either stuck under a hundred K or right there because we're doing it all.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, what's your philosophy on like building a business?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_05]: You're passionate about building a business with your passion versus like, no, just build a business and forget the emotional side of it.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what's your take on that.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: Passion.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: Build a business that you can make some money for.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: What's your talent?
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: What's your gift?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Your talent in your gift may not be your passion.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_02]: So, build a business that you can go sell something, make something.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: What do people ask you for?
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: It may not be what you want to do.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: If you build a business to make the money, then you can fund your passion.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: But a business is structure.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's showing up.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's delivering.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: And you have to be able to separate your passion from your business.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's two different things.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to be passionate every single day.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: But you have to show up for your business every single day.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_05]: Hmm.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_05]: What is a great first hire to make?
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever is the thing that is taking more of your time that doesn't need you.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: You need to reserve your time for, wherever you are, being creative, if you're talking to the clients, whatever is your
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: You need to do that all day every day.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: So if that means someone needs to answer the emails, if someone needs to post on Instagram for you, like whatever is the thing that's taking up most of your time that doesn't need you higher that first.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_05]: Where do you find people to hire?
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: You can go to I like to ask people if there's there's a whole bunch of science you can go to but in I'm used to I'm used to managing employees is hard to find people that work good it's hard to find a good employee so I like to ask someone do you have a referral do you have like someone
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: or I like to hire off of character.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't only need to know what you're doing, the character of a person.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: For example, I had a girl in one of my challenges, and she was, you know, answering like, see, I think these great questions I liked her vibe.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: And so afterwards, I was like,
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, are you, are you working right now?
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like, can you, could you use like some some part-time work?
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because I was needing like an assistant that was here in the US, not just a virtual assistant.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_01]: She was like,
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I go, hey, I'm, because I liked her vibe.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: I liked her mindset.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: I hire off of who the person that I can train you to do anything, right?
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like hire a person off of their care.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: So you can go to different style.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: I like to ask referrals.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: Other people like, hey, where do you get your VA from?
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: Do they know someone?
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get with the company.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Does your VA who produces?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Do they know someone?
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: They have a sister, a cousin, a friend, because like, like kind people hang out.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: So if you have a great VA who's on time,
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: can multitask and get the work done.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: Her friend, her someone in her circle with the same kind of person.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_05]: That's good insight.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because I found that like just even being involved in church and stuff, it's like talent.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_05]: Like people who are Uber talented, there's a pattern and just a general observation, but there's a pattern that
- 17:59[SPEAKER_05]: they're usually entitled.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_05]: And I would take attitude over talent.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: You can train them to do what you need them to do.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_02]: But those fundamentals that work ethic, that loyalty, that consistency, that can't be trained.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's in someone.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_05]: That's good.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_05]: So you believe in investing in yourself to go to the next level.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Of course.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_05]: What was the scariest first opportunity that you had where it was like, whoa, this feels beyond me, but this, you know, I got to make that investment in myself.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: From my brick and mortar business, my first investment was going on the radio.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: I thought I was going to spend thirty thousand dollars for about six months to get on the radio and they want it thirty to fifty thousand dollars a month.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: And so I literally emptied out my savings and I only had enough for one month, signed a three month contract like this has to work because if not, I'm on the hook and it worked.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: We hit big, big, big.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_05]: your radio ad like worked.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_05]: That's crazy.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: What was the ad like first along just in just advertising our salon.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: But we were the first along to be on the radio and you have to have so many spins.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: You have to gorilla marketing.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to be in someone's face all day every day for them to come.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: And that was a thing that took us from six figures to a lot of figures.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: The first thing.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: But you have to go all in.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: If you are scared, if the number is crazy, if their heart starts beating, if you can't sleep at night, do it.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: If you're comfortable, because once you put that money out, oh, you're working.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: You're working because you have to make it bad.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: This thing has to work.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like this mentorship has to work.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: This course has to work.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: This business has to work because you're all in.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: For my online business, my first investment was going on a podcast.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: where I pay a lot of money.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: I had done no advertising for about two years.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I just grew, grew, grew, grew, grew, grew, grew.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: But then I was like, okay, I'm growing.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm growing.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm making great money.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have any structure.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: I know there is some kind of pattern.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_02]: I need to be doing something.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: I need to be happening.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: Some kind of system, some something.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I wouldn't got a mentor.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: And they're like, you need to do these podcasts and these street interviews.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm about to go pay what to go talk to someone.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh, that is a making it because that the whole online world didn't make sense of you.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: But I was like, if you want to grow joy, you got to do it.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I just didn't.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: And the crazy thing is when I went on the podcast, my Instagram page got taken by hacker.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: So for six months, I'm going back and forth and, you know, they're saying, I'm pretending to be joined, huh?
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, Instagram, I am joined, huh?
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what is this?
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: So I invest in like a four podcast.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_02]: Two street interviews and nothing could run.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: So I did all that money up front in nothing random because I didn't have my pay.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like, hey, can you just wait?
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: Can you wait?
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: And for six months, it was just nothing.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's the self.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: That comes in like, you know, it's been all this.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, God, I know you didn't tell me to do all of this for it not to work, right?
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: And so, finally got my page back.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: I had everything just kind of hit back to back to back.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: And my business just blew crazy numbers.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: So sometimes the crazy things happen for your good.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: You just don't know it in that season.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_05]: I was really, I mean, I love that because actually, I got my last year twice, two times in the year, same thing happened where the, and I had met a verification and all that stuff.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_05]: And then, yeah, I was like, they held my account ransom and I knew that, I mean, the me and the guy was going back and forth, but it was like a,
- 22:07[SPEAKER_05]: very interesting thing and it happened during very key things going on in my business.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, shoot, because I love showing what I'm doing.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_05]: And we do that really well.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_05]: And when anytime you're doing anything in your business, my philosophy is like, make sure people see it.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_05]: Because then people say, oh, that's what they do.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_04]: Cool.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_05]: I couldn't do that.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_05]: And so everyone coming to my workshop, they were posting, but they couldn't tag me.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_05]: And it is those moments that's like, like, you almost have to think to yourself, like,
- 22:38[SPEAKER_05]: And my bigger than it's just this one thing, like many times, especially if you're building a good thing and in my opinion, a God thing, nothing could stop it.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_05]: And that's where my removing the emotions with the things going on in my business has been key because I'm like, if anything happens is what we're doing a really good thing and we are helping a lot of people, why would it stop?
- 23:05[SPEAKER_05]: It would.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_05]: It's almost like the force is just greater than just a little hiccup, you know.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_05]: But I love that you're you value marketing.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yes.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_05]: And a lot of people think that like that money is coming from and this is where we can get into the structure stuff because I realize that you can use the money you make in your business to make more money.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_05]: So even though it's maybe a large number to join a mentorship or get in front of people paid ads or whatever, whatever that may be for people.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_05]: But when you pay for marketing in your business, that is tax deductible.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_05]: You are incentivized to do those things if it makes sense for your business.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_05]: the proper time to really, when I say structure your business, I know what that means, but maybe some people don't stop taking money into your personal bank account.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_05]: Like, because that's how most people start.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_05]: One should they make that move doing those things, like, and, you know, whether that's the EIN, people don't even know what EIN is, like, I know that stuff.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: So the second the thought says, I want to start a business, that's when you start.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_05]: What do people have that thought like every day or every week?
- 24:15[SPEAKER_05]: And it's a different business than when I start.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: Which one are you really going to start?
- 24:19[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_05]: So what's the one?
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: Once you're going to start a business, then start it.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: If you have ten businesses and you can afford to get ten LLCs, then get the ten LLCs.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to at least reserve your business name in the state that you phone your LLC in.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I will get my LLC.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: I will get my domain name.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_05]: Where do you get the LLC?
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to go to the secretary of your state.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: The phone your LLC or you can kind of come to the firm.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: And you want to get your LLC, you want to reserve your web domain.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: Go to Adity.com.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: Get your branded email info at yourbusysname.com.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to use Gmail or Yahoo or none of those things.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead and reserve your social media.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: So go ahead and let's reserve a protect the name.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I know I'm going to start joys, joys lashes.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to all my things for joys lashes.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: Then for your business structure, you want to get your EIE and that's going to be your tax ID for your business like your social for your business.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: That's free on the IRS website.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_02]: You then want to get a business bank account.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: And you want to start putting the money from your personal account and depositing it into your business bank account to use your business expenses.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: You want to make sure, though, that you notate the money you're putting into your business on either a capital contribution agreement or an LLC loan agreement.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: The money that you're putting into your business is not going to pay additional tax on that.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_05]: And that that could be a lot for somebody.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm taking personal which most people use your own personal money to start businesses.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_05]: Let's say we're making shirts.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to front the five thousand dollars to buy and print the shirts.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_05]: Don't pay for that out of your personal.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_05]: You're saying move five thousand dollars into that business account and then swipe.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_05]: But how do you document that?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: Document on a form either was called a capital contribution agreement or an LLC loan agreement.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: A capital contribution agreement says I'm putting money into my business.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need a business to pay me back on that investment.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_02]: In LLC loan agreement is saying I'm putting money in, but once the business starts making money, I want to get paid back.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: Either or, it doesn't matter.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to take those forms and keep them with your corporate documents.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: At the end of the year, you're going to give them to your accountant or your CPA.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: So if your business account had ten thousand dollars in it for the whole year, but five of it was from you on your capital contribution agreement or LLC loan agreement, your CPA knows, okay, although there's ten grand in here, only five is income, and only five taxes should be assessed on, not the full of it.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_05]: That's really, I've never heard the documentation part of it.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_05]: What would you say for somebody who's like, it's a mess?
- 27:08[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, they've been doing it for a year out of their personal account.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're doing it for your personal account, you can still write it off on a schedule, see, like, as if you wreck a soul prior, you can still get the tax deduction.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: You want to just start running what I call it running your business like this Walmart, just running it for real, because how you do anything is how you do everything.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: So you want to get accustomed to business expenses, come out the business account, leave your personal alone so that when your business starts growing, now we're growing with some structure and now we can scale.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: If we're everywhere, maybe you have all of, maybe you have the clients, but if you don't have the structure, we can't scale and we can't take it from zero to a hundred because we're everywhere.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: We got cash out there.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: We don't have our colleges everywhere.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, no, it's really good because it's it's like sometimes people and act I'd actually like your definition of is but a lot of people who start just making money on the side, maybe they're not entrepreneurs, they're just making money on the side, like what is your definition of
- 28:18[SPEAKER_05]: an entrepreneur or a entrepreneur should everyone try starting their own business I worry no world where like I literally go online for me it's just like everyone build a business everyone build a business yeah and and I don't I personally have come to the realization that like not everyone's an entrepreneur but how do you know you are like
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: I would say this, everyone is in a full-time entrepreneur.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: It takes a lot of grit to go out here and chop down this tree full-time.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: But I think everyone wants to make some money outside of their nine to five.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: So that is still an entrepreneur.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to be a full-time entrepreneur.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to quit your job to be entrepreneur.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to make money on the side selling T-shirts, selling piece cover, you're still an entrepreneur.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: You still have a business.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: And depending on how the business grows, you may have the next Facebook, the next Netflix.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: So in the beginning, start off like you're a real business.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: LLC, EI, and business bank account, branded email address.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: Just do that.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: Reserve your name.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: Go Daddy.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: And you can work your side business however you want.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: But eventually that side business makes start making more money than you're nine to five.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then you'll want to leave that.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_05]: Up on over.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_05]: What's your advice on that?
- 29:42[SPEAKER_02]: It depends on the person I want.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: Now me.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm all in.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: If me and the bear fighting helped the bear, I'm all in.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: So when my backs against the wall, that's when I fight the best.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: So some people are in all in risk.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm quitting my job.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: I got no work from my law firm.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: I quit.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_02]: I had six months of saving, left a saved up.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: I said, I got make seven shake in six months.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: So I made my own law practice degree, right?
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Other people may not be able to take that jump in that is fine.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: I want to kind of this whole myth.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: You got to quit your job.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to quit your job, right?
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: But just you can start your business.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: You work your job nine to five and you work your side business five to nine or you wake up two hours early and you, you know, you can sell digital products.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: You can, you can just do a course on teaching makeup and just have an online, there are so many other ways to get money that you don't have to just quit your job to do.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, my thing is what most people don't realize is everything they're seeing that is working is working with a minimum amount of focus.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_05]: And so if it's doing this at maybe thirty percent focus, what would happen if you had a hundred and twenty percent focus, you know, which is, and I found it like personally in my business and my journey being an entrepreneur,
- 31:09[SPEAKER_05]: is that there's different seasons where you have to put your back against the wall.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_05]: It's like good for, I found it, it's good for you.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_05]: Like even getting this space, it wasn't a need.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't have to do this, but it created a void that I got to fill and then my creativity, my imagination, so they start, it starts going out once you
- 31:30[SPEAKER_05]: put yourself in that position.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: And it's frustrating.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: And now you're probably a whole other person with bigger ideas because you, you invested in this.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like, well, I do something with this big all-place.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_05]: And even sometimes when you make a move, I find there are moves you can make in your business and any stage that could legitimize you from a perception standpoint.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_05]: So when I first got my studio, I got text messages from dads that knew me.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_05]: from like my last church was like, oh, my, I'm really proud of you.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, bro, I've been building online for a minute.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I get, I sign a three year lease and now you're proud of, you know, right.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_05]: But it was a, it was a perception of legitimacy.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_05]: And so even moving in this space, which I haven't really like put out there yet and I will.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, somebody came down and a friend local was like, hey, I want to do a virtual event.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_05]: Can I do it at your spot?
- 32:16[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, yeah, sure.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_05]: And in my mind, I thought I was going to charge ten grand to rent out the big space with, you know, if you had a in person event.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_05]: But I was like, ten grand to do a virtual event one day and he's like, deal, let's do it.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, let's go, you know, that wouldn't have happened if you if I didn't put myself in that position right and now.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't have that offer.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_05]: No, I haven't offer.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know what that is for you.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_05]: You're listening.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe you're working at W two or you're like ready to go to the next level and you're in your business.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_05]: Just know that like will this move legit a my zoo from a perception standpoint?
- 32:53[SPEAKER_05]: And I think it usually works like
- 32:56[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know for me it's worked every time.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_05]: Because not that's where the one percent is made.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_05]: It's all from the people that are making moves that everybody else are unwilling to make.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_05]: Hey department fam question for you based on you listening to this podcast you probably are either looking to grow your personal brand this year.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_05]: Build your audience online and just stop chasing business and start to have business chasing you.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_05]: If that's you, I want to invite you to the content to cash challenge.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_05]: This is a five day coaching experience, a live coaching experience with myself that's done all on Zoom and you get access to a private community and it really is unlike any other experience that I offer.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_05]: By the end of the challenge, you'll have unreal clarity on what you're supposed to do online and you'll have the insight on how you can make an extra six or even seven figures.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I said seven figures in your business this year.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_05]: And if any of those things sound great to you, I want you to join the next content to cast challenge.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_05]: Scan the QR code if you're watching on a television or click the link in the description.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_05]: Once you go through it, go ahead and upgrade to VIP because you'll get an extra hour of bonus VIP Q&A with me every single day of the challenge.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_05]: And so looking forward to seeing you there.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_05]: Let's get back into the combo.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_05]: scariest.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, do you ever sign a lease on something like a building or something?
- 34:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I believe in the concept first, though, get proof of concept that the business works, then go and put your money behind that.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: So go make money by Monday, go do something today to go make a sale, however your business is.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: So don't wait until you have the packaging and
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: Just go make a sale today.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: Does somebody want your product?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: Which product are service?
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: Do they really want?
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: Because you may be coming out with one thing, but they really want something else.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: So a couple of weeks, a couple of months, maybe a couple of years figuring that out.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: Once you have, okay, this is my bread and butter.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: This is working.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_02]: Now I go to next that.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: So when I first started my hair extension company years ago, two thousand and eight, I was selling my hair extensions on my law office conference room.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't going to go buy commercial property.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: I want to make sure that you wanted this, right?
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: So when you got a flyer, you're like, the hallowed law group.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: This is a little boolean, but I put my money in my product and my packaging.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: And it mirrored what the big boy here, extension coming look like.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: As my business took off, okay, they really want this, then I would invest it in expensive, you know, prime location, commercial property.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: And that just makes you legitimate.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: But I did that after I knew exactly what I was selling, this is what works.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: When I started my online business, I thought I was gonna be the queen of LLCs.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about LLCs, LLCs.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: I did one video talking about a business grant and it just went viral.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: My deans went crazy like, y'all know about this grant?
- 35:50[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: I was up for two weeks, making a, you know, a digital product.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: This is Grant Bundle, boom, boom, boom, changed my life.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: One digital product that looked bootleg.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: I was on YouTube trying to figure out how to make this ebook that, you know, the colors was crazy, but I had to get it out to sell it.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so once you have proof of concept that this is what it is, go put your money behind that and just go run with it.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_05]: I love that business grant.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_05]: What's a business grant?
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: This is grant is going to be free money debt free money that you can get for your business to start or grow your business.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: They have businesses, organizations that are just giving money away for businesses.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to want an LLC, EITN, business bank account and then of course, why do you need the money?
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I have a business grant bundle that breaks the Gisha thousand business grant.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: How to apply for them.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: You can Google this is grants.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: They have websites, skip.com, helloallest.com, grantwash.gov.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: Of organization businesses giving way, ten, fifteen, twenty thousand dollar sugar business.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_02]: that you don't have to pay back.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't believe in just going into debt in the beginning.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't believe in just maxing out the credit cards.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_02]: Like first figure out on a small scale, what it is that you're doing and what get this thing working.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: And then you can go to next that with a loan line of credit or a credit cards apply for business grants.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: The online application is simple.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: I have a course that breaks it down, but you're literally just answering questions that they're asking you.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: But I think the game changer is don't make your business sound poor.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on my last leg and don't have any clients.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_02]: You want to ask for what do you need your business to make more money in thirty days?
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: Do you need equipment?
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: Do you need more inventory?
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: Do you need marketing?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: Do you need to be at a certain conference?
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what do you need right now to make more money in thirty days?
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: And then you ask for that and you explain how this thing or these three things are going to catapult me and help me get more contracts, more clients.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: And once you make your grant like that, you'll be running more grants.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_05]: Is it the same as a business loan?
- 38:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, you don't have to pay this back.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, oh, my free money.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: Free money.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_05]: Free money.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: F-R-E-E.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_05]: Dang.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: Free.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because like the word that stood out to me was like if you need it and my my thing is like what if you don't need it you just would like money and you don't want to pay for things yourself.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_05]: Because then that would be alone.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_02]: So how we're going to work at Omar is, you know, I have this great equipment, but if I had another camera guy, or if I had another blouse, a blouse, I could have a larger event, I can take on more people, and that would make me more money.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: So do you need it as far as I can't make money without this one thing?
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, but this way we scale your business, get to that next level.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of times you can't scale because depending on your industry, like if you are a, if you do any kind of commercial cleaning or you're a truck driver, you work any kind of job that you're paid on a net third.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you have to go do the, do the service upfront the money and then get paid three days later.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: You can't scale without money because you got to have that upfront money to doing those jobs.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: So, hey, if I had this money, I could,
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: have the supplies to clean more.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm having a turn down office based opportunities because I don't have the money to scale thing.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_05]: What's the success rate on that?
- 39:23[SPEAKER_05]: Like people getting granted.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_02]: So what will improve your success rate is I say apply for five to send business grants every single month.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get more confident in applying for them.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: And then number two, you're going to kind of, you're going to be putting more applications out there.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: I have, I have clients, I have customers, I have my grab out of that win grants all the time in their business, multiple grants.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: If you have to first apply, apply, make sure that you're entering the question, make sure that your business looks like Walmart.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: LLC, EIN, this is bank account, website, branded email, business social media.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: Everything needs to be branded.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: If my brand colors are blue and red, I shouldn't have green, purple and orange on there, right?
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then make sure
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: for marketing purposes that when someone jumps on your social media or your website, they know exactly how you help them.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of times, you're going to talk about ourselves, how smart we are, they don't care about that.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: How do you solve the problem that they have and how do they know immediately how you help them?
- 40:32[SPEAKER_04]: It's good.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: In simple terms, I know you read the third grace, Bell and B champ, but lead those industries, specific words, those long sound, top to a fifth grader, so that everyone understands exactly what it is that you're talking about because it confused by your doesn't buy.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of times, we want to sound smart or look like where this big thing is not about you.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's about your customer understanding how you help them.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: They can come purchase your product and our service.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_05]: And that's that's really cool.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I'm thinking about everybody who has like a business and they're doing all right, but it'd be really cool if they had the equipment.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: That would help that would take you to that next level.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_05]: Why have I never heard that?
- 41:10[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: You're welcome.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_05]: Did you get that information being a business attorney?
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: I got that information being a business owner.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: So when I had my son back in two thousand in twelve, I actually stopped practicing law and I went full time on my visit.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: At the time I had a hair boutique and at my law practice, people always tell me what bills they had.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's the why they needed a payment plan.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: But at my hair boutique, they're telling me what bills are not going to pay because they want these hair extensions.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I need to be in the business of the walls, not the knees, right?
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: And so when I got pregnant, I was sick as a dog.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: My hair boutique didn't need me.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's making money without me being there.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I have to go put on makeup as soon heels, go walk to court to go make.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll say, I need to do a business.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not exchanging time for money.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: So I actually said, I'm gonna go all in on my hair extension business.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: And my mother almost had a heart attack.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: You are a lawyer.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: You went up to do a little bit of a spell sale.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, her.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone I can go sell?
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, her.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like mom.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think I can make more money.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I was, I'm making like twenty grand a month being like, I'm a, I think I can make more money.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be here.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_05]: I'm as if you paid to become a lawyer.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_05]: Like what was that?
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, six figures.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's four years.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I did fires on the grant three years a law school.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: I then went and got a master's and tax law from SMU.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I am having six figures in student loans.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: heavy.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: But when when when God gives you a vision, I never wore hair extensions a day in my life.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: My soon to be ex-husband showed to me on watch this movie called Good Hair from Chris Rock.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I saw the opportunity here extensions.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: He had just started.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, Hey, I think I wanted this business.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: We kind of part them together.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: And God just said, Go all in.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: At the time of having the hair tension business, I also up up a hair salon, suit with express, small little salon that I was like, if I can make this the forever twenty one of hair services, I'll be rich because this is right around the recession.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: People are looking for affordability.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: This is all my, all my businesses are affordable low in, because there's going to be more Honda's DC Rose Royces, right?
- 43:36[SPEAKER_02]: And so I said, I'm not going to go back to practicing law.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to do a hundred percent in my hair extended and hair salon.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: And one year we grew that once last like three locations, we had to it literally just grew overnight.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_05]: what was that's there's a lot there but like what was the like profit from after all expenses paid like how much was it doing because that's probably the in my opinion that's that would be the number that would get me excited because it's like I didn't have to be there and and it's it had to be there to run this along yeah oversee
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: I had to be there to keep my foot on the neck to make sure everything was running correctly.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: But this is going to be okay.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: So time frame were around two thousand in eleven twelve.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: So before the big influx of being able to buy hair on Instagram, you couldn't just go anywhere US and just get here like that.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: You had to import it from overseas.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: So the profit margin back then was four to one.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_02]: So if I paid ten dollars for a bundle, I'm getting forty four.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: It was printing money.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: And so my helping is this, once you know what's working, ten exit.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: Ten exits.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: So every time I made money, we were spending sixty-eight hundred thousand dollars a month just in buying the hair, but I'm forexing it.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's, it was a game changer.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: No one air back then, every moment was doing like a two hundred dollars sewing.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm advertising fifty-hour soons.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: Now the gag is once you get in, I'm an upsell you, but to get you in, I'm, I'm advertising fifty-dollar soon, affordability,
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: that has some luxury onto itself, fashion over.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: People get you a kid.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't scream cheap, right?
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's not team moving.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_02]: You walk in.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: You look like something, but it's affordable.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: So once you find what's working, go all in.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like all in.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_02]: And when you go all in, it's going in.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_05]: You still have that now?
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_05]: So you sold them?
- 45:52[SPEAKER_02]: So they've closed them down and we went and I went into the auto industry started a car dealership.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_05]: Why did you change industries?
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I wasn't able to remove myself from the business.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: I had to be there to manage.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_02]: We had like a hundred employees, a hundred women in different locations.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: I never found someone that could duplicate me.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: So for you to scale, you have to be able to duplicate yourself and I couldn't.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm having to manage all these and like, yeah, this is not scalable.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: So we need to find something else because I can't be, you put that flat iron down, come to work on time.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: I can't do all this for the rest of my life.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: So my son's father, my son's father was really into cars.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: We had just taken a huge loss on buying an all these cars.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: He caught himself being like a little car trader, right?
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: Made all these mistakes, but is the mistakes in business that are necessary?
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I said, well, now we know everything of what not to do.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: Why not just order cars?
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: Because I know now we know everything that we're not able to do.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: So we started a car dealership switched from being bank financing team in house financing.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: And that's where the money was when you are the bank.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_02]: When you sell one car to one person and then pick it up in six months, it's up the same car to another person and then repo it in six months and then say that sell that same car to another person, you're printing money.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_05]: So it's a profitable, very profitable.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_05]: Because I watched this guy, what's his name, George?
- 47:33[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, there's this like our mini-and-do or maybe Egyptian guy on social media, I don't know if you've seen him, but bald head guy and he's always buying cars and trait.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_05]: It sounds like the profit margins are like not there, but you're saying if you're able to be the bank, so you're just letting people take the car and then just taking payment.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_05]: It's almost like they're renting it.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: No, they're buying, okay, so in-house financing, the in-house financing is that buy here a pay-year, where it's like the bad, creative people, so this, your, our target audience, I know they're not going to keep their car for more than nine months.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to default on their payment.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: So if I buy a,
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: if I buy a Dodge charger, right?
- 48:17[SPEAKER_02]: I paid ten thousand dollars for it.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: And you give me three thousand dollars down and you pay me six and dollars a month.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_02]: And then you only keep that car for six months.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_02]: And then I have to go pick it up.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_02]: Then I sell it again for four thousand dollars down.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_02]: And then I pick that up in less than a year at the car's paid for.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: Now every time I sell that car, I'm gonna payment is all profit.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: But more cars you have on the road,
- 48:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's just, you're, you're literally just once you get, once you own that car outright, you're just printing money.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_02]: The, the key is buying the right car at the right price.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: So that you're in the car for not that much.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: So once you got to understand what your target audience wants.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: So my target audience doesn't care about a car being in a car accident, doesn't care about mileage, they want leather seats, they want both speakers, they want a nice body style.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_02]: So we figured out what are the exact cars that our customers like and we only have those cars.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: So we have only Nissan Maximus, only Nissan Maximus, Buick Regals,
- 49:29[SPEAKER_02]: Cadillac CTS, Dodge Chargers, Dodge Challengers, Chrysler, three hundredths.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's another one.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_02]: But we have just those.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: And they just come in or repeat repeat.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_05]: Hello, that the principal applies to everything.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: Everything.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_05]: You just found a, you just found a, an, a target audience, a need that they have correct and found the leverage in something being the middle man correct.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_05]: You know, that's really good.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_05]: And do you still have that now or do you still have it?
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: I still have it.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's the visit I said my husband locking out of which I had to start my on that.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_02]: So we're still fighting over that business.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_05]: How important is it?
- 50:12[SPEAKER_05]: If it's okay for me asking like,
- 50:16[SPEAKER_05]: Was it because you and your ex husband?
- 50:19[SPEAKER_05]: You guys were doing business together?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, how do you, yeah, like knowing what you know now, what is the wisdom around married couples and building together or like no babe, don't worry about it.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_05]: I'll lock in.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, because I mean, I love that Amanda is she gives me insight.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_05]: She, she helps with the money stuff.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I mean, I know every couple is different, but I mean, you have some insight I would.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: So I would say there's no family in business, okay?
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: Run it like it's a real business.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: Have the contracts you need, whoever is running it, make sure that everyone's name is on the contract with every other green is going to be your split.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: All of that's going to be in writing.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_02]: So if you and your wife are in business together,
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: Still act like it is a business partner.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_02]: If you and your best friend or a business together, say a lot of times we bypass their formalities of business because that's my best friend.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's my father-in-law.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's my, and no, it's treated like a real business because when something goes left,
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's the person that's closest to you sometimes that has that knife and just going to rip it into you.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: So making sure that you are running it like it's the person you're in business with is a stranger.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care if it's your mama.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: Paper is going to be like she's a person off the street and we're going to map out everything in this contract and we're going to run it like it is Walmart.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: Your mom afterwards, but in this office, we're running it like it's Walmart.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: that's the mistake on me.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, I have a friend who it's a mess, like, and they built together.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_05]: And even just like the wisdom of like, fifty one forty nine, even just helps a lot.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_05]: Because somebody needs to make the final decision.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's good.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's tough.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_05]: It's tough to not back to the passion thing.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_05]: You create a business from a, from within.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_05]: And like I'm so emotionally attached and
- 52:28[SPEAKER_05]: And then, yeah, you end up making emotional decisions like partnering with somebody that you enjoy.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_05]: But, yeah, I found that the more I took, you know, things less personal in the business.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, it's just protects everybody, you know, and by protect, I mean, so that we don't have a falling out.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: everything is already a lot of four and then when something does happen just know it's business like you can't you can't take it personal right your favorite employee quit and left and started the same business can't take it personal is just business
- 53:04[SPEAKER_05]: Good.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_05]: Those types of thoughts, a lot of times come from a limited mindset or mentality that I'm the only one that could exist.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_05]: My thing is if somebody comes through my doors, works for me and really was present and did a good job and they felt
- 53:23[SPEAKER_05]: Because one day I felt correct.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_05]: They felt like under my watch that they can do something.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe it's similar.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe it's the left field.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_05]: But the fact that like I could have been a part of that.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_05]: Dude, I'm like, go spread your wings.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, it was actually a clip from Gary Vee that you mentioned that like no one's going to care about your business more than you.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_05]: So it's uptracking trying to make your people.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: love it as much as you it's impossible correct you know they're just an employee meaning they're coming here for the check you're the person who invest at your life savings you're the person that's all in they're like I'm I'm here nine to five like I
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: When you work in a job, you didn't care about the job, how the owner did.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: So why would you expect another person to?
- 54:11[SPEAKER_02]: And then if you are that person in the industry, I don't care who leaves and starts up.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still that person in the industry.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: You can go do what you want to do.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: You can't do it like me.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_02]: So you have to be okay with letting people go and do them and not taking it personal.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_05]: Another question that is just from an observation, you know, with women starting businesses and being CEOs and just crushing it, you know, in whatever capacity that may look like, what is your maybe philosophy on how a woman kind of
- 54:51[SPEAKER_05]: I think the where I'm trying to get that is like not tap into something that they weren't like designed for.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_05]: And when I say that, I mean, well, I'm not saying that from any other way that like the mom and you got, you got husband doing this thing and then there's kids at home, but the wife has a dream in her heart or a business she wants to build.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_05]: How do you navigate that situation?
- 55:18[SPEAKER_02]: So the question is, how does a woman build a business if she also has responsibility being a model?
- 55:25[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_05]: I guess a mom, yeah.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_02]: So she would need to have number one a supportive and understanding spouse.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: to understand that this is a passion or dream of mine.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I wanted to fulfill this too.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_02]: She would need to be creative.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe we get up two hours before the kids get up.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: And those two hours, you're creating your content, you're working your business plan, you're working your business from four to six A.M.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: And then at six you wake up and you're getting the kids responsible.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: Especially if there's a large income disparity like if if if if if huff is bringing all the money knocking out the mortgage Well, no mom you talk about making these cupcakes is not going to move him.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: But what you can do with these cupcakes is you wake up at six o'clock every morning or four o'clock every morning.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: You work your business
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then you stay up two hours later, and on the weekends, maybe you may have to not do as many fun things that you want to do for your personal.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: You just kind of keep the family together, and then spend an extra working of business.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: And when them cupcakes start making money, see money is going to move the husband.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_02]: Once you start bringing some money in, now you got his ear.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_02]: And the beginning, he's like, girl, what you want to do?
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: Because to him, he hasn't to the vision.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: But once you can get him dialed in to the vision or once you can say, hey, this is working.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_02]: I think a supportive spouse will support you.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_05]: That's good.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, Amanda got her like real estate license and it's not like something she's like all in building and she doesn't really have it.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_05]: It was kind of like a tag team move is like you get the real estate license.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_05]: I know there's plays that we can do together together.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_05]: It's a really offset some stuff.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_05]: But I've just seen, I've seen a lot of friends and there's patterns, a lot of a single mum entrepreneurs.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_05]: And I get a sense that it's kind of like, they made a choice.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_05]: Or they made a hard decision that this thing was taking away from the thing.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_05]: And if you're going to stop me, then I'm out.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_05]: I know it's kind of like, this is what comes to mind with.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_02]: Now.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_02]: The analogy I did was with the support of spouse.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_02]: Now there's going to be a spouse that's not supportive because I was kind of in there, right?
- 57:44[SPEAKER_02]: You need to do what I said.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_02]: You need to do anything else.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_02]: When you're in with someone that's not supportive, that doesn't see your dream, that doesn't see they doesn't see who you, doesn't see you for who you want to be or who you are.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like
- 57:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm a mom.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm just, I'm more.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to achieve these things.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_02]: And if you can't support me, then you're basically stifling me.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of times, women get a bad rap when they go make a decision that's best for them, because we are raised that we're supposed to make.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's, we're supposed to be that sacrificial lamb.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: And you're a good mom if you give up what you want for your kids.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: You're a good mom.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: If you put your drink on hold for your hug, you're a good mom, you're a good wife.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: If everyone around you is happy and fulfilled and they have baseball and crafts and this and direct cleaning, and it's okay for you not to get anything because your job is to fulfill everyone else's dreams.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: And when a woman does that, because I'm speaking from experience, not from what I googled, the woman is tired, they're drained, and they are no longer themselves.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like a life or death move.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't see me for who I am, if you don't allow me to actually go and spread my wings and be the person I'm designed to be, I'm leaving for me.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: It looks like I'm tearing the family apart, and how could she do that?
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: On the playing, they tell you, put your mask on first, and then you put your kids mask on.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: She put her mask on first.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: And if the interim is all this went to hell, it all went to hell, but it's not because she put her mask on first, it's because she was forced to put her mask on first.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_02]: She didn't get the support at home that she asked for, because a woman is not going to just leave.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_02]: A woman doesn't just say, she's going to try a thousand or one times.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: She's going to say it.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: Fifteen times.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: We're going, how are we going to cry?
- 59:42[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do it.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_02]: You did hear me.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm walking away because I'm fighting for me.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_02]: If I don't fight for me, I'm going to die.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_02]: And if I die, nothing gets accomplished.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_02]: So for there's a woman who is no one I'm struggling walking away will be saving you because it saves me.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: And you should be deal, you can be grow, you can teach your kids about how the mommy works.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_02]: Do she want these robots?
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_02]: You want to go to Disneyland and have this fast pass and not wait in line.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_02]: You want to have these sneakers.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_02]: You want to do all these things.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_02]: Mommy has to work.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: So mommy's on the Zoom.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_02]: So he knows, mommy's on the Zoom.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_02]: Mommy's making money.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm on a phone call, mommy's making money.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_02]: You're your kids will understand.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_02]: You can also make your life work around your kids.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of, if you go to my social media page, I'm alive at nine, ten, eleven at night because I'm a mom in that afternoon evening time.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm working my business around my kids.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_02]: But sometimes you're going to have to do this, do it yourself.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_02]: Digital products to me will be a great way of getting another swimming income that doesn't take your time away.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_02]: But if God tells you something in your spouse is not being supportive, I'm not trying to, you know, have women just file for divorce.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I think there needs to be some grace to a woman.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_02]: That you know stands up for herself because a man can always do can I make a decision?
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, whatever the man says for his best and everyone goes with the flow, but never one makes a stand.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's always like she's supposed to dumb herself down or our job with everyone's needs above ours and we come last and that's that's not the case
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_05]: Thanks for sharing that.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_05]: It's so good.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_05]: I was, I was convicted like years ago when I went to a friends event who she puts on these masterminds and it's amazing.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_05]: And the way I saw her, the way her husband supports her in doing this.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_05]: And the question was like, how do you, you know, maybe the question is like lead or like do your thing and his thing is my thing is to support her thing.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_05]: And I think, I don't, we're glad that that's husband or wife.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, husband, your thing is to support her.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_05]: And then wife, your thing is to support his career.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_05]: And it, and that's one like the, it just becomes beautiful.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_05]: And then you do have the, the supportive roles on each other.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_05]: And it's team sport, man.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's the young and young.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like, um, I think it is a great, a great, well, I don't know if I'm person but I don't know who I think it is a great job of this will be Grant Cardone and you land a Cardone like, you know, for, for, for, I, I felt in Grant since he had a minimal social media following and then he found like this blitz and I was like, oh, he's doing something.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_02]: But you never really saw his wife.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_02]: It was just him, just him, just him, just him.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_02]: And then
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_02]: after he made it, you know, she pops up with her brand and it's like, and she talks about being in that supportive role, like a marriage or a partner, it's never fifty-fifty, right?
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's, it may be eighty-twenty, seventy-thirty, like whatever you have, whatever's missing, I'm coming up with it, but knowing how to lead and then be submissive or knowing that yinging, having that balance,
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_02]: is priceless in any kind of partnership or marriage.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_02]: And if you find someone that like, they're able to support you, you support them.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_02]: You guys can kind of just have that nice mix hold on to that one for your life.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_02]: So hold on to a man on our hold on.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like a good one.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_05]: So good.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_05]: Well, thank you so much for being on how can people connect with you?
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_05]: And you got like an online event coming up or
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_02]: I do.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_02]: I have a five day business challenge.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_02]: I also have a master class.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you want to go to see you at the bank dot com and all the information will be there.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_05]: What can you, what can people expect to learn in that challenge?
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, in my five day, this is tough.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to get your vices to the bank.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_05]: Guys, you're a little marketing happening right now.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_05]: Ready, get ready.

- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to go over a business structure.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_02]: How do you structure a business?
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_02]: How do you form your business?
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_02]: How do you run your business?
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to go over how do you protect your assets with holding companies, trust, parent, coming with something is going to go wrong in your business when it goes wrong.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_02]: We don't want to lose everything.

- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: How do you make a digital product to an additional thousand five thousand dollars a month of income into your household?

- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_05]: I made my mortgage for six months from my digital product all from one YouTube video doing the marketing.
- 1:05:22[SPEAKER_05]: That's when my brain broke.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_05]: It was like YouTube video digital product, which digital, you don't fulfill it.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_05]: You don't have to go to it.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_03]: Correct.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_05]: And usually there's no returns because they got what they knew before buying.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_05]: Correct.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_05]: And so good stuff.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_05]: I'm excited for people's mortgages to be paid off.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_05]: We'll post links down to everything in the comments and show notes.
