- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Plays get broken down, then science gets denied to.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Come off the bitch.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Caines Studio.
- 0:32Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in our number two ot B.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Here live from the Raising Canes Studio. Jake Flynn, Elandre Tata,
- 0:40Speaker 3: all here with you.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Matthew.
- 0:43Speaker 3: You mentioned you're going skiing coming up in a couple
- 0:46Speaker 3: of days. Thankfully you've gone to reduce me medical because
- 0:52Speaker 3: that's going to make you feel like your youthful self.
- 0:54Speaker 3: And well before that, if you did that, you'd probably
- 0:57Speaker 3: fall right down the mountain. So reduce me medical, keep
- 1:00Speaker 3: you upright, keeping you feeling like your youthful self. There's
- 1:03Speaker 3: a lot of locations across Louisiana, some would say multiple.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Oh thirteen. Really yeah, I think a lot.
- 1:10Speaker 3: So if you're listening to us in Louisiana, the chances
- 1:12Speaker 3: are there's location that is convenient.
- 1:14Speaker 5: For you, very convenient, okay, so that you can just
- 1:17Speaker 5: kind of walk right in, take some bloodwork, and then
- 1:20Speaker 5: you know, very soon after that you're feeling great, feeling
- 1:23Speaker 5: like your younger self, like you said, I'm going to skin.
- 1:25Speaker 5: I'm not gonna feel forty. Find down that mountain. I'm
- 1:29Speaker 5: gonna fill twenty twenty three tops and.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Don't let a football get in your hands. Nobody in Breckenridge,
- 1:34Speaker 3: not one person.
- 1:35Speaker 5: No doubt. I'll be throwing passes. The people riding up
- 1:40Speaker 5: the ski lifts. Go check out what you with me
- 1:43Speaker 5: medical dot Com.
- 1:45Speaker 4: The best part about that is that sounds like something
- 1:47Speaker 4: you would love. That'd be great, wouldn't It would be
- 1:50Speaker 4: so fun?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Hey you yeah, you you're ready to catch his bullet.
- 1:57Speaker 5: That'd be so good. Just film it if you do it,
- 2:01Speaker 5: don't it. People don't passes. Some people going down the mountain, Yeah,
- 2:06Speaker 5: them right in between trees.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:10Speaker 4: That's thanks to producing me medical dot Com. Yeah all right.
- 2:14Speaker 3: So one of the biggest stories certainly in college athletics
- 2:18Speaker 3: college football over the last couple of weeks and really
- 2:21Speaker 3: months following if old miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was going
- 2:25Speaker 3: to get an extra year. The NCAA denied him six
- 2:29Speaker 3: times six but we we knew going to a court
- 2:36Speaker 3: in Mississippi, unless he just fell into a state fan,
- 2:40Speaker 3: he was gonna have a good chance. You go to
- 2:42Speaker 3: small town, Mississippi. There's a reason why they went to
- 2:44Speaker 3: small town, Mississippi, and so Old miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss,
- 2:49Speaker 3: after getting denied six times, was granted an extra you
- 2:52Speaker 3: have eligibility by a state court judge who issued an
- 2:56Speaker 3: injection that paves the way for Chamberliss to be eligible
- 3:00Speaker 3: in twenty twenty six.
- 3:01Speaker 4: This was yesterday.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Judge Robert Whitwell rolled at Chambliss clearly met the criteria
- 3:07Speaker 3: to receive a medical red shirt for a sixth season. Now,
- 3:11Speaker 3: to me, it was puzzling how much he was fighting
- 3:15Speaker 3: this because he kept getting told no.
- 3:20Speaker 4: I think he's a pro quarterback.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I think he could have gone into this draft and
- 3:24Speaker 3: actually done really well because everybody's trying to wonder who
- 3:27Speaker 3: the third quarterback is going to be. If it is
- 3:30Speaker 3: going to be Mendoza and it's going to be Ty Simpson,
- 3:32Speaker 3: and I thought Chamblass had a great shot at that.
- 3:35Speaker 3: He had an invite waiting on him for the Senior Bowl.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Obviously he didn't go. He did not get invited into
- 3:40Speaker 3: the Combine, and so for him, I was like, hey,
- 3:45Speaker 3: my guy, the clock's ticking like you got deuced night
- 3:48Speaker 3: at Old missus. Well, you're about to start spring practice,
- 3:51Speaker 3: you're going through the fourth quarter program, and if you
- 3:54Speaker 3: don't get that extra year, you didn't do all the
- 3:58Speaker 3: things that you got to do to get ready for
- 4:00Speaker 3: the NFL draft. But he does get the extra year,
- 4:04Speaker 3: So I'm glad there is something that now is definitive
- 4:08Speaker 3: for him. Once you kind of found out where it
- 4:10Speaker 3: was going in which court it was going to, you
- 4:12Speaker 3: felt pretty good about it, But you just kept getting
- 4:15Speaker 3: denying in the back of your mind, like, are they
- 4:16Speaker 3: trying to make an example of this guy? You got
- 4:19Speaker 3: Joe Judge out there on the stand trying to fight
- 4:21Speaker 3: the offensive coordinator. You get Trinidad Chambers had some interesting
- 4:25Speaker 3: comments that maybe we play a little bit to later on.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I think that feels very OTB like. But at the
- 4:31Speaker 3: end of the day, Trinidad Chamblis gets another year. He
- 4:34Speaker 3: is going to be the quarterback for the old miss Rebels.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 5: I've never seen anybody in the world, any football player,
- 4:42Speaker 5: want to go to the NFL less than Trinidad Chamblas
- 4:45Speaker 5: agree you have you can't finish off the season, you
- 4:49Speaker 5: know better better than he did playing his position. Of course,
- 4:52Speaker 5: they didn't get to the ultimate goal as a team,
- 4:54Speaker 5: but as an individual player was playing fantastic and certainly
- 4:59Speaker 5: looked the part to be the NFL ready, And that's
- 5:01Speaker 5: hard to you know, it's hard to say that because
- 5:04Speaker 5: he made such huge improvement so fast. Right now, I
- 5:08Speaker 5: don't want to compare him to the actual person, but
- 5:10Speaker 5: he made him like Jade Daniels type improvements. So from
- 5:12Speaker 5: where he started playing early on, you kind of saw
- 5:15Speaker 5: some flashes, but wasn't playing the quarterback position the best,
- 5:19Speaker 5: from everything from doing everything from the presnuparade to the
- 5:22Speaker 5: postnup recognition of coverages to to hit and check down
- 5:25Speaker 5: to getting through your progressions to be inaccurate on your
- 5:28Speaker 5: third and fourth progression when there's pressure in the pocket,
- 5:30Speaker 5: to make a smart decision outside of the pocket, Like
- 5:32Speaker 5: he wasn't doing all those things, to the point where
- 5:35Speaker 5: even when we were getting ready to play them Unels.
- 5:37Speaker 5: She didn't have the strongest team, of course, but I
- 5:39Speaker 5: was like, there's no way we're gonna lose this guy.
- 5:40Speaker 5: So defense is good and he's just not a good quarterback. Well,
- 5:43Speaker 5: he started making those improvements that week and he just
- 5:46Speaker 5: kept going and he made huge strides throughout the year
- 5:49Speaker 5: to the point where you come from fair state, you come,
- 5:53Speaker 5: you're up, don't play great as soon as you get
- 5:54Speaker 5: thrown in, but by the end of it, you're like,
- 5:56Speaker 5: is this the best quarterback in the country. It's not
- 5:59Speaker 5: for Anwydz like just playing like an alien towards the
- 6:02Speaker 5: end of the year, Like, yeah, he would have been
- 6:04Speaker 5: the best quarterback in the country. Right now, there's a
- 6:08Speaker 5: lot of question marks, certainly because of the lack of
- 6:10Speaker 5: playing time and how fast that rise was. But the
- 6:15Speaker 5: kid was ready to go to the NFL. So yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 5: like I said, I've never seen anybody want to go
- 6:21Speaker 5: to the NFL less than this guy. Six times they've
- 6:24Speaker 5: appealed to sing in. I mean, you got to give
- 6:26Speaker 5: him credit for being stubborn, hard headed, and certainly, I mean,
- 6:30Speaker 5: is this I've read about it some now you have
- 6:34Speaker 5: to be like an absolute sicko to know all the
- 6:36Speaker 5: details and how the inner workings of everything that have
- 6:40Speaker 5: to do with this legal battle and this fight. But
- 6:43Speaker 5: is this like a done deal or is this just
- 6:48Speaker 5: a step in the right direction for him to come back?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Do we know?
- 6:54Speaker 6: So?
- 6:55Speaker 4: The hearing for Chamblis followed his.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Request for sixture of eligibility, which was denied by the
- 7:02Speaker 3: NCAA on January of the ninth, and then his appeal
- 7:04Speaker 3: was denied on February the fifth. Ole miss filed a
- 7:08Speaker 3: request for reconsideration from the NCAA claiming new evidence, and
- 7:12Speaker 3: so that was filed, I believe on Monday, and then
- 7:16Speaker 3: that got denied.
- 7:17Speaker 4: So the NCUBLA.
- 7:20Speaker 3: They tried everything they could, obviously to deny this and
- 7:25Speaker 3: to not allow this. But now after this they got
- 7:29Speaker 3: to be wondering, like what can we do, Like is
- 7:32Speaker 3: there anything that we can do? So here is what
- 7:34Speaker 3: the NCAA had to say after that. This decision in
- 7:36Speaker 3: a state court illustrates the impossible situation created by differing
- 7:40Speaker 3: court decisions that serve to undermine rules agreed to buy
- 7:44Speaker 3: the same NCAA members who later challenged them in court.
- 7:48Speaker 3: We will continue to defend the NCAA's eligibility rules against
- 7:52Speaker 3: repeated attempts to rob future generations of the opportunity to
- 7:56Speaker 3: compete in college and experience the life changing opportunities only
- 8:00Speaker 3: college sports can create. They going to say, the NCAA
- 8:04Speaker 3: and its member of schools are making changes to deliver
- 8:07Speaker 3: more benefits to student athletes, but the paper or sorry,
- 8:10Speaker 3: but the patchwork of state laws and inconsistent, conflicting court decisions,
- 8:14Speaker 3: making partnering with Congress essential to provide stability for current
- 8:19Speaker 3: and future college athletes.
- 8:21Speaker 4: So when I read that, I read.
- 8:23Speaker 3: It as the NCAA lost again, the NCAA saying, Hey,
- 8:27Speaker 3: every time we tried, we try to do something, y'all
- 8:29Speaker 3: tell us we can't by going to these small town
- 8:33Speaker 3: courtrooms that we know we're not going to have.
- 8:36Speaker 4: The NCAA hasn't won a court case in forever.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Well now when they're in MISSISSIPI in Mississippi fighting, so.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Say like, when's the last time how you go in
- 8:46Speaker 3: that back, when's the last time that they've won a
- 8:47Speaker 3: court decision? They just continue to lose and lose and lose.
- 8:50Speaker 3: They denied him six times and it didn't.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Even denied him in Mississippi before then finally it was
- 8:57Speaker 5: probably Joe Judge.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, I'm not even trying to be funny,
- 8:59Speaker 3: like the judge was choked up reading that he was
- 9:02Speaker 3: going to be eligible. Like if you play the video,
- 9:06Speaker 3: so if you at the n c double A, you
- 9:08Speaker 3: continue to lose until they get something, like they said, until.
- 9:14Speaker 5: NCAA losing like they're just they're they're fighting unfair fight
- 9:19Speaker 5: right there. Like if you can gain eligibility in college
- 9:24Speaker 5: football just from a local court decision and the NCAA
- 9:28Speaker 5: cannot stop that from happening, then that's not even a fight.
- 9:32Speaker 2: That's just you can have no power.
- 9:35Speaker 7: I know this one's a crazy situation, but I guess,
- 9:37Speaker 7: like to answer your question, the Bettioco situation, they won
- 9:41Speaker 7: that one, I guess because he's ineligible.
- 9:44Speaker 4: And I think that that's a that's a.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a great point that Elandra makes because in
- 9:50Speaker 3: college basketball they did lose that one. But also remember
- 9:53Speaker 3: Greg Sanki, the commission to SEC backed the n c
- 9:56Speaker 3: Double A in that one. Yeah, so like having the
- 9:58Speaker 3: commissioner's power we're Insae and Sway I think actually helped
- 10:02Speaker 3: that for the nc DOUBLEA. Yeah, because commissioners haven't like
- 10:06Speaker 3: I didn't hear commissioners thinking on this Trinidad Chamblers stuff
- 10:08Speaker 3: at all.
- 10:09Speaker 4: It's a different situation.
- 10:10Speaker 8: The n Cuba can still appeal it.
- 10:12Speaker 7: I don't know if they will because obviously, like y'all's
- 10:15Speaker 7: just said, it's.
- 10:17Speaker 8: Like a losing fight, but they can still appeal it.
- 10:21Speaker 5: But it's also a core case for Trinidad Chamblas, who
- 10:26Speaker 5: will be like the Heisman favorite next year. The tusc
- 10:28Speaker 5: listic thing was like a failed pro basketball player.
- 10:32Speaker 3: It's it is a different situation too with that guy,
- 10:35Speaker 3: like he was a pro a. Trinidad Chambliss was coming
- 10:38Speaker 3: from Division two. He was trying to get another year.
- 10:41Speaker 3: The other one's obvious situation. This one's like does he
- 10:44Speaker 3: have a case? Should he have a case?
- 10:45Speaker 9: Like we don't really know this in DDE because everybody
- 10:47Speaker 9: compared him to Diego Pavia. No Diego Pavia went Juco
- 10:51Speaker 9: and the NCAA. It wasn't under the NCAA umbrella. Like
- 10:54Speaker 9: I think Joey Aguilar is a shoe win to get
- 10:57Speaker 9: another year because he is in the exact same situation
- 11:00Speaker 9: as Pavia was last year. Trend Oad's a little bit different,
- 11:03Speaker 9: but I mean apparently not. It's college athletics and there's
- 11:06Speaker 9: really not any.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Rules, so.
- 11:09Speaker 8: I mean they there are, they're just not being enforced.
- 11:13Speaker 4: They can't.
- 11:13Speaker 5: I think they're trying to get enforced. But they're like,
- 11:15Speaker 5: now we'll just see, Yeah, we'll see. Let'll just keep
- 11:18Speaker 5: doing it.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Should we see the n c double A.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Yeah, they didn't let us make money back in two
- 11:23Speaker 3: thousand and four. I think we'll win. We should just
- 11:27Speaker 3: say we should just go Capital City. We'll go to
- 11:29Speaker 3: a courtroom right down the road here.
- 11:32Speaker 4: We should just go play football at LSU. Who just
- 11:35Speaker 4: say we can't? I mean I didn't rich airt I
- 11:37Speaker 4: gotta I got a year.
- 11:39Speaker 9: I've only played four years. Yeah, there's a guy. I'll
- 11:42Speaker 9: have to look up the school. Uh ninth year coming up?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Mm hmm, So that's right, Jake.
- 11:50Speaker 10: Got five more years.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Only started one, and see he guarantees me four.
- 11:57Speaker 10: That's not fair. You should get to go back another year.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Well, and technically we looked this up in the real book.
- 12:03Speaker 3: If you were just a holder, that is not an
- 12:06Speaker 3: official play we therefore you technically only played one year,
- 12:11Speaker 3: so you got hell, you might have four.
- 12:15Speaker 4: We did because well because COVID.
- 12:21Speaker 9: Yeah you red shirted one year, yep, but then the
- 12:30Speaker 9: second year, how many games did you get in?
- 12:33Speaker 10: I mean I was a holder, because now if.
- 12:35Speaker 9: You play in four or less, true, you could file.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I'll tell you, Jake, Paul didn't hold itself. Would be
- 12:48Speaker 5: a highly skilled human down there.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I only found this out because one of our former
- 12:53Speaker 3: employees here blame Besh was also the holder in two
- 12:57Speaker 3: thousand and three.
- 13:00Speaker 4: He was a holder. Yeah, and we found that out because.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Of his experience, maybe the second best holder of all time.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Me.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right.
- 13:13Speaker 3: So I mean it's okay, like I'm actually I'm fighting
- 13:15Speaker 3: for you. So I don't know why you're trying to
- 13:17Speaker 3: fight back. I'm here for you.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Don't patronize me not. I don't even remember what that
- 13:25Speaker 5: stat was, but you know I fought it in one.
- 13:29Speaker 3: It's not an official play and so therefore, I think
- 13:32Speaker 3: you need to give your letterman jacket back.
- 13:35Speaker 5: It's not while I player performance bonus Jack in the
- 13:37Speaker 5: NFL told me, we're.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Not talking about the NFL, we're talking about college football.
- 13:44Speaker 3: I just don't think that's true. Look, you know, we'll
- 13:47Speaker 3: look it up again. It's not what my letter blanket says.
- 13:50Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. You gotta give that back. My watch,
- 13:55Speaker 3: I never got my plaque.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Turn it out. Chandelists just like go to the NFL. Yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 2: so I ever that he wants to go there.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Like this, man, people are.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Man, you don't want to come play at the NFL level, Well,
- 14:10Speaker 3: I wanted to go make He's giving major B energy.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I mean, he could end up being really really good again,
- 14:17Speaker 3: and maybe maybe he's the first quarterback. The quarterback class
- 14:20Speaker 3: is much better next year than it is this year.
- 14:23Speaker 3: But y'all, he doesn't have Charlie Weis junior or Lane Kiffin.
- 14:27Speaker 9: We Me and Matt talked about this before the show started.
- 14:29Speaker 9: I don't think he will. But what if Trinidad sucks
- 14:31Speaker 9: next year?
- 14:33Speaker 10: Look not as good in general? A lot of it,
- 14:36Speaker 10: A lot of.
- 14:36Speaker 9: It wasn't Smart's fault, but a lot of people thought
- 14:39Speaker 9: Smart's the first round pick. If he leaves last year,
- 14:41Speaker 9: he comes back, his offensive lines bad, he battles through
- 14:43Speaker 9: an injury. We're talking round right now. Yeah, Like, what
- 14:46Speaker 9: what happens if Trinidad is not? If I'm a GM
- 14:49Speaker 9: next year and I'm sitting down with him pre drafted reviews,
- 14:51Speaker 9: I'm saying.
- 14:52Speaker 10: What's the deal? Do you want to be here or not?
- 14:54Speaker 10: Do you not want to?
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah? Is it?
- 14:59Speaker 5: Is it the OTB stance that triniette Chandlis is a
- 15:02Speaker 5: beta male?
- 15:04Speaker 8: That was I will take that stance.
- 15:07Speaker 10: That was my stance before.
- 15:09Speaker 2: But every you can't say everybody at.
- 15:11Speaker 8: All, miss what I can't because you have.
- 15:16Speaker 10: He's not currently on the team.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I'm not saying that about him.
- 15:18Speaker 10: He's not currently on the team. Patrick bra Chad definitely.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Actually anybody had all missed, but Patrick Willis probably see
- 15:27Speaker 3: coach let me think, I don't know, you know, coach
- 15:30Speaker 3: O was there for a time too, Son, He's always ready.
- 15:35Speaker 9: Speaking of did y'all see bow Wallace? Did y'all see
- 15:40Speaker 9: popping off on Twitter.
- 15:41Speaker 2: The other day?
- 15:43Speaker 10: Bo freaking Wallace? Yes, it's good.
- 15:47Speaker 4: He was the original good Bo bad Bo before bow Nick.
- 15:50Speaker 10: Somebody had put up a thing of like Sam Levitt.
- 15:53Speaker 9: They're like, you guys are there's so many people out there,
- 15:55Speaker 9: Dalton sam Levitt, y'all are acting like he's Bo Wallace.
- 15:58Speaker 9: He put up sam Levitt's stats, the one from this
- 16:01Speaker 9: year where he only played seven games.
- 16:02Speaker 10: Bo left that boardant information out. He goes, don't ever
- 16:05Speaker 10: compare a beat to sale eleven. I did this, this,
- 16:07Speaker 10: and this.
- 16:07Speaker 2: It is number, but even.
- 16:09Speaker 9: People looked at it across the board, like per game stats.
- 16:13Speaker 10: Let it's better across the board.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Shocker.
- 16:16Speaker 2: I know, I never even heard of this guy.
- 16:18Speaker 10: But like Bo, Bo Wallace is popping off.
- 16:20Speaker 4: You don't remember Bo Wallace.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Twenty fourteen when LSU beat Ole Miss here they were
- 16:25Speaker 3: a top five team in the country. It was seven
- 16:28Speaker 3: to nothing, seven three ten three. I think was in
- 16:32Speaker 3: three Logan Stokes called the only touchdown of the game.
- 16:35Speaker 10: No he Bo hadn't. They hadn't turn a pick.
- 16:37Speaker 4: At the end of your NFF, I didn't. If you're paying, but.
- 16:40Speaker 10: Hadn't turn a pick?
- 16:41Speaker 4: Ye out.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like when I was in I didn't, I
- 16:44Speaker 2: really did. I try to lock into LSU stuff as
- 16:46Speaker 2: much as I could, but.
- 16:47Speaker 9: Believe Lsu forced him into two. Ten to seven ten
- 16:51Speaker 9: seven was a final score.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Was a barn burner.
- 16:54Speaker 9: No, he had one interception, but we dropped the second one,
- 16:56Speaker 9: is what it was. Yeah, he had he didn't turn
- 16:57Speaker 9: a pick or something in like six weeks or something
- 17:01Speaker 9: like eternity.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Oh, Bill Wallace, he was.
- 17:07Speaker 9: A fourteen to thirty three that game. Kind of what
- 17:10Speaker 9: Bo Wallace did against good defenses.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Learned something new every day.
- 17:16Speaker 3: So Trinidad Chambliss coming back for a sixth seasonal move
- 17:19Speaker 3: but as the old Miss quarterback again deny six times,
- 17:23Speaker 3: but goes to a courtroom in Mississippi and gets to play. Look,
- 17:28Speaker 3: and I'm not like rooting against the guy like I'll
- 17:31Speaker 3: be honest, even as an LSU guy, like I wanted
- 17:33Speaker 3: him to be able to play somewhere, and I felt
- 17:36Speaker 3: like it was so late in the NFL process because
- 17:38Speaker 3: he was trying to get this waiver.
- 17:39Speaker 4: I didn't understand it. I would have done something different.
- 17:42Speaker 3: But good young man, great opportunity, cool story, best of
- 17:48Speaker 3: luck to him.
- 17:49Speaker 5: He must be getting except for one week the brink
- 17:53Speaker 5: strip backed up to stay at Ole Miss.
- 17:55Speaker 2: That's the only reason.
- 17:56Speaker 5: I mean, like, I'm not even talking about like seven,
- 17:59Speaker 5: I'm not even talking about that.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I'm talking about more than it's got to.
- 18:02Speaker 8: Be more than that, which is just stupid.
- 18:06Speaker 5: Like things guaranteed outside of I'm sure there's some boosters
- 18:10Speaker 5: mad about still. You know, they were so but heard
- 18:12Speaker 5: about Lane that they're like, if we can get him
- 18:16Speaker 5: to stay for one not go to LSU, I'm.
- 18:20Speaker 2: We can guarantee you fifteen million dollars.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Just an emotional knee jerk reaction to everything, because at
- 18:28Speaker 5: one point it was like that was the hot news.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Is Laine going to bring Trinidad over here once he
- 18:31Speaker 5: gets his eligibility that was everybody was saying. So I'm
- 18:35Speaker 5: sure he was getting some promises, so he's like, oh, okay,
- 18:40Speaker 5: ten million dollars. Yeah, I'll stay.
- 18:44Speaker 4: You sure fault for it like it was ten million dollars.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Huh.
- 18:47Speaker 4: He felt like it was.
- 18:48Speaker 5: That's why I'm saying it has to be like the
- 18:50Speaker 5: top quarterbacks in the transfer portal?
- 18:52Speaker 2: What got five this year? Five or six million dollars? Yeah?
- 18:54Speaker 5: Like his is such a situation because he would have
- 18:57Speaker 5: been the top guy right in the if he was
- 19:00Speaker 5: in the transfer portal, he would have been the top
- 19:02Speaker 5: guy in the transfer portal.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Can we all agree on that?
- 19:05Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 19:05Speaker 5: And then the knee jerk emotional reaction from ole Miss boosters.
- 19:09Speaker 5: So if the top guys getting six and even Tyz
- 19:11Speaker 5: Simpson got reportedly offered seven, I talking this out. I'm
- 19:18Speaker 5: gonna say he got up upwards a ten million guaranteed.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Toward him.
- 19:23Speaker 3: And we'll never know, no, but just shocking, right. All right,
- 19:27Speaker 3: we are long for a break. Let's go ahead and
- 19:30Speaker 3: take that break, and when we come back, we'll dive
- 19:32Speaker 3: back into some LSU things going on around campus this weekend.
- 19:36Speaker 3: You've got baseball, you got softball down in Florida. You
- 19:40Speaker 3: also have women's basketball with a huge matchup coming up

- 21:19Speaker 1: It's off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 21:30Speaker 11: Well maybe I'm just too sure, or maybe I'm just
- 21:36Speaker 11: too right by the.
- 21:38Speaker 6: Sound of pieces of No fall down, but that is said.
- 21:57Speaker 2: You got Valentine this weekend tomorrow.
- 22:02Speaker 5: The the Hester boys, they have us a big Valentine's
- 22:05Speaker 5: parties at school.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Uh yeah, they.
- 22:09Speaker 3: You know how you do the deal, Like you get
- 22:11Speaker 3: the cards and you bring one for everybody in class
- 22:13Speaker 3: and you get a little something to it. Memphis, we're
- 22:17Speaker 3: printing his off last night and he gave everybody like
- 22:20Speaker 3: a rubber cross bracelet with their Valentine card.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Uh.
- 22:25Speaker 3: You know the older boys, you know, Joe cool like again,
- 22:28Speaker 3: they can't do anything. They don't have a Valentine anything.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Now now, you know, not to give away too many secrets,
- 22:33Speaker 3: but a twelve year old had me get a Valentine
- 22:41Speaker 3: gift for you know, just one certain someone.
- 22:44Speaker 4: So just the one.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Okaya, love, he's my one. You off heard me tell stories.
- 22:53Speaker 3: He's my one. So yeah, yeah, he's given out like
- 22:59Speaker 3: a real.
- 22:59Speaker 8: Valid Say what did you get him?
- 23:02Speaker 4: Some stuffed animals? He said?
- 23:03Speaker 3: He's like, hey, like this is what I want to give.
- 23:05Speaker 3: All right, all right, okay, I see.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Yeah, now the fourteen sixteen year old, Now Dad, I'm good.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Oh Dad, ain't telling you so Memphis.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Did he draw like you have they got to give
- 23:18Speaker 5: like it that I got to give the same thing
- 23:20Speaker 5: to everybody. But did he draw the heart little a
- 23:23Speaker 5: little bigger to one?
- 23:23Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 23:25Speaker 3: And like I'm trying to see, I'm trying to look
- 23:27Speaker 3: up what his Valentine's cards. Sexy had to print them off.
- 23:30Speaker 3: I mean they were okay, And then like he did
- 23:35Speaker 3: this on purpose? You've got that six seven riz uh,
- 23:40Speaker 3: you're my six seven for real? No, you're the six
- 23:44Speaker 3: to my seven. No cap own purpose, like you're so
- 23:50Speaker 3: sigma six seven. So like trying to, I guess, make
- 23:54Speaker 3: fun of all the whatever kids say these days.
- 23:58Speaker 2: He making fun of it.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we were all laughing as we were putting together.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I'm twenty twenty five, what about you? Yeah, the kid
- 24:13Speaker 3: has been pumped.
- 24:13Speaker 5: They had all their so my two older kids, they
- 24:18Speaker 5: had their valentin had stuff yesterday because I had like
- 24:20Speaker 5: a little play today at school.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Do y'all have more plays and productions at that school?
- 24:25Speaker 3: Absolutely daffle baby free time.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I feel like we talk.
- 24:28Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, absolutely recital a play right performance.
- 24:33Speaker 5: But after this, after the show, I get to go
- 24:36Speaker 5: to my youngest little anyway at five at Montessori school,
- 24:40Speaker 5: We're going to little tea party. Little Valentine's Tea party
- 24:44Speaker 5: fired up.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Too, So you get to sit in that little bitty chair.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Sitting in a little chair.
- 24:48Speaker 5: She's like they've been practicing on how to like hold
- 24:51Speaker 5: her hand and bring us to the chair and push
- 24:53Speaker 5: her chair in. So it's gonna be a good deal.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I'm excited. More importantly, she's excited.
- 25:02Speaker 3: What else are you gonna do? I mean you got
- 25:03Speaker 3: two other Like did the olders bring Valentine?
- 25:06Speaker 5: They did all this stuff yesterday. I think that I
- 25:09Speaker 5: can't remember what Huck brought for everybody too. That did
- 25:12Speaker 5: fruit roll ups.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Not a big deal.
- 25:15Speaker 5: They had their little little Valentine's party yesterday because like
- 25:18Speaker 5: I said, they have their chapel performance today.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Big deal.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Does huck have a sola. He does a little.
- 25:31Speaker 12: That.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Actually, I'd go see that. I would go see that.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Uh.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Do y'all remember Valentine's and passing out and like what
- 25:40Speaker 3: you gave, because I definitely remember, like I was the jock,
- 25:44Speaker 3: like I was the meatthead. So like I would get
- 25:45Speaker 3: like NFL Valentine's cards, and that's what I was passing out,
- 25:49Speaker 3: John Elway, Damn Reno, Joe Montana, kind of that day
- 25:53Speaker 3: and age of quarterback Randall Cunningham. I remember passing it
- 25:57Speaker 3: out and we'd have like my mom would buy like,
- 25:59Speaker 3: you know, a football sucker to pair with it, you
- 26:03Speaker 3: know it kind of go through the card there, And
- 26:05Speaker 3: so I kept mind real meat headish. Do you remember
- 26:07Speaker 3: what you passed out in Tyler, Texas?
- 26:11Speaker 2: Man, I don't remember.
- 26:12Speaker 5: I just remember getting those little cardboard boxes of those
- 26:15Speaker 5: the hearts with messages on them that were made of
- 26:17Speaker 5: chalk tasted a little bit like something also chalk. Yeah
- 26:23Speaker 5: they're not great, No, they're not great, but we love them.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Be mine.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Like and you saved that special one, that special one
- 26:30Speaker 5: that had the yellow one that had the pink riding
- 26:32Speaker 5: on it.
- 26:32Speaker 2: It was like.
- 26:34Speaker 5: That was the of the chalk options. That was the
- 26:37Speaker 5: best one. I thought that was my favorite one. It
- 26:39Speaker 5: always meant a little bit more. The golden heart.
- 26:44Speaker 3: What about y'all back there behind the glass, the use
- 26:48Speaker 3: of the show, y'all remember it, y'are closer to it?
- 26:51Speaker 4: They still do that.
- 26:53Speaker 8: I think they do. I mean, I don't know.
- 26:54Speaker 7: I haven't been in school forever, but I don't. I mean,
- 26:57Speaker 7: just probably just got whatever generic volun Times cards they had.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Did you ever shoot your shot, Taylor?
- 27:05Speaker 9: I mean, how subtle we talking? I did the I
- 27:09Speaker 9: did the bigger heart like Matt's like.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Matt, maybe a three dimensional arrow through it.
- 27:16Speaker 9: We've been there. Yeah, yeah, no, I was. I was
- 27:19Speaker 9: similar to you on like the cards that gave out.
- 27:21Speaker 9: But I used to be excited the cards everybody else
- 27:23Speaker 9: would give, like I remember, you get like a Scooby
- 27:25Speaker 9: Doo one. Or there was actually a girl in my class.
- 27:28Speaker 9: I remember this one vividly for some reason. She's a
- 27:31Speaker 9: big Backstreet Boys fans. You would have a she would
- 27:35Speaker 9: have like, you know, a bunch of cards with all
- 27:36Speaker 9: the different Backs Boys.
- 27:37Speaker 10: You pass it out.
- 27:38Speaker 9: It's like you're him, you're him, you're him. So it's
- 27:41Speaker 9: like everybody was trying to see who got who.
- 27:44Speaker 4: That's pretty cool.
- 27:45Speaker 3: So you're saying, if you got Howie, you had no
- 27:47Speaker 3: chance of actually getting a day, I got you.
- 27:52Speaker 4: You're him. You wanted to be Nick Carter in that situation.
- 27:55Speaker 10: I think I think I probably Nick for the obvious reason.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I do remember those old little Valentine's letters. You
- 28:02Speaker 5: would you would like fold up and it was like
- 28:04Speaker 5: you had the Batman one, you have the X Men
- 28:06Speaker 5: one or whatever like, Yeah, they were awesome, simple, straight
- 28:11Speaker 5: to the point till a little piece of candy on there,
- 28:14Speaker 5: sod on top of a chalk heart box.
- 28:22Speaker 3: So shout out to everybody out there passing out the
- 28:24Speaker 3: love letters today.
- 28:26Speaker 2: There's somebody sweaty palms.
- 28:28Speaker 3: There's somebody out there that palms are sweaty, knees weak,
- 28:31Speaker 3: arms are heavy, don't vomit when you're sweater. Just pass
- 28:36Speaker 3: out the Valentines and just know she can check yes.
- 28:41Speaker 3: It's not only going to be a no, sometimes it
- 28:43Speaker 3: can't actually be yes.
- 28:45Speaker 5: And definitely just protect yourself, protect your heart. Always put
- 28:49Speaker 5: a maybe box.
- 28:52Speaker 3: What you can't put a maybe box kind of loser
- 28:55Speaker 3: mentality is that it's complicated.
- 28:59Speaker 9: You get the maybe and you're fired up about that,
- 29:02Speaker 9: Maybe maybe all right, doors not shut?
- 29:05Speaker 5: Got a chance I can sit by you and not
- 29:08Speaker 5: talk to you at lunch some more?
- 29:10Speaker 3: God, do you all remember having to write like actual,
- 29:13Speaker 3: actual notes? Like I was never good, I never really
- 29:15Speaker 3: had it, but like people passing notes in high school?
- 29:19Speaker 4: So like, what's going on?
- 29:20Speaker 2: Man?
- 29:20Speaker 3: What you got going on this weekend? Not much over here?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Just maybe hanging out with some friends.
- 29:26Speaker 10: Did they still do that when you were notes in school?
- 29:30Speaker 3: I mean I could tax like we couldn't there was
- 29:31Speaker 3: no high school, but like, yeah, right, so high school
- 29:34Speaker 3: we didn't like not til what probably are what junior
- 29:37Speaker 3: senior year and you had to pay ten You had
- 29:39Speaker 3: to pay ten since per text even then you had
- 29:41Speaker 3: to really get there was no unlimited plan you.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Had really like you had to really because you were
- 29:46Speaker 4: going to get.
- 29:46Speaker 2: In trouble for how many texts can I get per month?
- 29:49Speaker 4: Right?
- 29:50Speaker 3: Can I go by that print card and pre pay
- 29:53Speaker 3: everything and load it into the phone.
- 29:55Speaker 9: Early on, I mean I was probably sixth grade, it goes,
- 29:58Speaker 9: let's probably my first like cell phone, cell phone. I
- 30:01Speaker 9: mean you know, I had like a basic call one
- 30:03Speaker 9: for football when I was younger, But first, like cell
- 30:06Speaker 9: phone was sixth grade, and yeah, I mean I remember
- 30:08Speaker 9: like texting people. They're like, sorry to text you back
- 30:10Speaker 9: whatever my limits early this month? Oh yeah, like my
- 30:13Speaker 9: minutes are gone. I'll get back with you on the first, sure,
- 30:19Speaker 9: first of the most the kids still call it like
- 30:21Speaker 9: going out these days when you decide to be.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Boyfriend girl, I have no idea.
- 30:25Speaker 10: I remember, we just call it going Are you going
- 30:26Speaker 10: out with her?
- 30:29Speaker 2: Yeah? Going out? That's right, we're boyfriend girls.
- 30:31Speaker 5: But like we're not going out anywhere because sixth grade
- 30:36Speaker 5: we hang out lunch a sixth grade we don't say
- 30:37Speaker 5: anything to each other.
- 30:38Speaker 2: It's kind of awkward. I remember, like.
- 30:41Speaker 3: One of I had I got our parents are gonna
- 30:42Speaker 3: drop us off at Tinseltown movie.
- 30:44Speaker 5: Theater fifth grade girlfriend or something, and we're sitting there
- 30:47Speaker 5: at lunch. I think my French fries, mind of my
- 30:50Speaker 5: own business friends. I thought you were going out. You
- 30:53Speaker 5: aren't even talking, Like we don't talk when we're eating.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Food. Is fuel?
- 31:05Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I feel like a lawn just being quiet.
- 31:09Speaker 3: She would she would have the best knowledge of what
- 31:12Speaker 3: we're saying here, and I think she's judging how bad
- 31:14Speaker 3: we were at it.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Yeah, probably, So it was just us.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know.
- 31:18Speaker 8: It's different now.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it feels like it's much different.
- 31:22Speaker 8: It's rough out here.
- 31:23Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's probably not quite as innocent as.
- 31:27Speaker 2: It once was.
- 31:28Speaker 12: I know.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I even try to ask my older boys about it,
- 31:30Speaker 3: and they like nothing. I get nothing, Like Katie was
- 31:36Speaker 3: Jackson's age that he is now when we started dating.
- 31:40Speaker 8: That's actually wild.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Yeah right, brother, Sorry, dude.
- 31:49Speaker 3: He's just like, I'm good man, nothing better to be
- 31:52Speaker 3: a junior in high school.
- 31:53Speaker 4: My guy, the guy got time for weird, all right,
- 31:56Speaker 4: cool man, And I was not like that.
- 32:00Speaker 2: That's kind of you.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Guys are definitely dumb, so dumb. Okay, that's aggressive.
- 32:08Speaker 10: So it's a fund.
- 32:12Speaker 8: Dumb af y'all don't get it.
- 32:17Speaker 2: In fairness, girls can be dumb too.
- 32:25Speaker 10: Everybody's allowed to be dumb here.
- 32:28Speaker 8: Girls can be dumb.
- 32:29Speaker 3: But y'all are are for sure dumb, like dumb, dumb
- 32:32Speaker 3: like fast stuff.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Yeah, that's very true. That's a great point.
- 32:40Speaker 8: For sure dumb. I'm not gonna say we're not, but
- 32:42Speaker 8: like when it comes.
- 32:43Speaker 3: To this, yeah, before we dive any deeper, we got
- 32:46Speaker 3: to know thyself. And so I'm gonna pivot here and
- 32:48Speaker 3: tell you about PALLA something that's not done in Louisiana.

- 35:01Speaker 4: They hadn't had a pitch yet. They're gonna have a
- 35:03Speaker 4: highlight video.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Oh they had practice. They have clips from last year. Bruh.
- 35:08Speaker 4: You can't be putting practice tape out there for the
- 35:10Speaker 4: hype video.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I mean a lot of people do it.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Remind me, never put you in charge hype videos.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I don't. I wouldn't be very good at it.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Why.
- 35:26Speaker 5: I don't know how to, like, you know, put videos
- 35:28Speaker 5: together and make a hype video.
- 35:29Speaker 3: I've never done it before. I probably YouTube though, chat
- 35:33Speaker 3: GBT before we get to the video. Nice job there,
- 35:38Speaker 3: toyay already got it ready to go? A landra Friday,
- 35:42Speaker 3: Saturday Sunday we know the opening weekend rotation. Right after
- 35:46Speaker 3: Jay Johnson got off with us, he announced it to
- 35:49Speaker 3: the media, and yes, sometimes like we'll ask Jay about
- 35:55Speaker 3: sometimes he slipped, like one time I think he told us,
- 35:58Speaker 3: but also like, look, he's got a press conference, he's
- 36:01Speaker 3: got his moment, like we want to allow him.
- 36:02Speaker 4: To do that.
- 36:04Speaker 7: Also at the press conference, he said he was like,
- 36:06Speaker 7: y'all all work really hard. I didn't want to tell
- 36:08Speaker 7: one of you, and so I wanted to tell all
- 36:11Speaker 7: of you at the same time what the rotation was
- 36:13Speaker 7: going to be.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Now, he probably also would say if I was going
- 36:15Speaker 4: to tell anybody, y'all.
- 36:16Speaker 7: Know, if I'm going to tell anybody who the starter is,
- 36:23Speaker 7: no doubt because of Matt Flynn.
- 36:25Speaker 8: Yeah, because he's the biggest baseball fan.
- 36:27Speaker 4: No question about it.
- 36:29Speaker 3: But he did announce it right after and uh, Alandra,
- 36:32Speaker 3: who is going to be on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- 36:34Speaker 3: this week.
- 36:35Speaker 7: So today we get to see Cason Evans to the
- 36:37Speaker 7: surprise of absolutely nobody.
- 36:39Speaker 4: That's pretty good.
- 36:40Speaker 7: I'm so excited about this. And then Saturday we got
- 36:43Speaker 7: a new one.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Cooper Moore.
- 36:47Speaker 7: Sunday Sunday, Willie Schmidt.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 36:58Speaker 7: So so Evans your ace to start off season. Now,
- 37:03Speaker 7: we all know that the bullpen and the rotation and
- 37:05Speaker 7: everything can is always subject to chest, but for right now,
- 37:10Speaker 7: Cason Evans your ace on Friday night.
- 37:12Speaker 8: I'm just so excited to see him.
- 37:14Speaker 7: I'm so excited to see because obviously he was really
- 37:17Speaker 7: good last season, incredible, but he's fully the starter now
- 37:22Speaker 7: and we get to see some new stuff from him, probably,
- 37:26Speaker 7: like I'm sure he's developed some stuff in the off season.
- 37:28Speaker 3: So it feels more confident too, knowing what he did
- 37:31Speaker 3: last year and being older.
- 37:34Speaker 4: That's a great opening weekend rotation.
- 37:36Speaker 7: Excited to see Cooper Moore for the first time in
- 37:38Speaker 7: a Tiger uniform.
- 37:40Speaker 4: And then for Schmid, I.
- 37:42Speaker 7: Mean again, we were talking about it the other day.
- 37:44Speaker 8: Very high ceiling.
- 37:46Speaker 7: He has a very high ceiling, So excited to see
- 37:50Speaker 7: what it is because you know, he had a little
- 37:53Speaker 7: bit of control issues last season. He was the midweek
- 37:57Speaker 7: starter for a little bit, then he had that really
- 37:59Speaker 7: good game, Jay moved him to a Sunday roll.
- 38:03Speaker 8: Didn't end up going as well as he wanted it to.
- 38:05Speaker 8: But if Nate.
- 38:07Speaker 7: Yeski was working with him in the off season, which
- 38:09Speaker 7: I'm sure he was, I'm sure we'll see a lot
- 38:11Speaker 7: better stuff from William Schmidt on Sunday than we did
- 38:14Speaker 7: last season.
- 38:14Speaker 8: So there's your starting rotation.
- 38:17Speaker 4: Definitely rooting for him.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Played high school baseball literally down the street.
- 38:22Speaker 9: We have anybody here that went to CATHOLICI in the station,
- 38:28Speaker 9: Moose went to St.
