- 1:47new home for funny in Dallas Fort Worth, but it's also the safe corner
- 1:52of dep ellum, that's another slogan they can start using. Yeah, it's
- 1:57addition to the shows. It's a great patio, great bar, a good
- 2:00stuff. So go hang out at the Dallas Comedy Club and tell him you
- 2:04heard about them right here inside the treehouse. Now we need to dig deep
- 2:09into what I thought was a trap by Traying, and I still think it
- 2:15is Trey. You sent Trey. You sent me a text I don't know,
- 2:20like a week or so ago, and I purposely avoided it like the
- 2:25plague, because I felt like it was a trap. I felt like Admiral
- 2:30Backbar and you know in Star Wars was like, it's a trap because the
- 2:34text pops up, it's a video link from Trey that says naked bowling.
- 2:42Oh yeah, I got the same time, Yeah yeah yeah, and then
- 2:45to uh add the cherry on top. It was a feature that was done
- 2:51appropriately by hard copy. So that really is kind of like the planets aligning
- 3:00naked Bowling being covered by hard copy, which, sadly, I guess we
- 3:06need to explain for our younger viewers. Hard Copy was a magazine show kind
- 3:12of like Inside Edition that was on nineties, two thousands. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:17and hard copy I don't. It might have, it might have dipped
- 3:21into the eighties. But so before Inside Edition, there was hard copy.
- 3:27Before hard copy, there was a Current Affair, Yes, hosted if I
- 3:31remember correctly, by one Mary Povich. That's right before he started telling everyone
- 3:38whether or not they're the father. He had a semi respectable journalism career,
- 3:44and Inside Edition was also hosted by one Bill O'Reilly do it live? That's
- 3:51right? I know that well, which is interesting, like if Inside Edition
- 3:55and hard Copy ever actually merged, they would have been hard Inside. I
- 4:02think that right there would get people to watch, wouldn't, kind of like
- 4:06Naked Bowling did. So I finally bit the bullet. I clicked on Tray's
- 4:14text link, and like many things that happen inside the Treehouse, I'm both
- 4:19happy and sad that I did. Okay, I saw it and I went,
- 4:23oh, white people. Yeah. I'd love to refute that, Raj,
- 4:30but I simply can't, because it's absolutely correct. There is not one
- 4:35person of color in this entire story done by hard copy right now. And
- 4:41this was even before they started really getting into having other nationalities and ethnicities anchoring,
- 4:49because hard copy is as you'll see here, it's hosted by Classic White
- 4:56anchor Barry Nolan. And is it Deborah Norvil that's next to U? Right?
- 5:01Yeah, that is? Can I ask a question? And this will
- 5:04just show my American ignorance, Roger is bowling a predominantly American thing? Yes?
- 5:16I remember, in almost fifty years on this earth, I had never
- 5:19really pondered whether bowling was a global sport or just kind of an American thing.
- 5:25I'm just kind of an American thing. You never hear like you never
- 5:27hear about the Chinese team coming over the bowl, like you know, like
- 5:30now, the what is it? The the AMF is the Bowling League ABA.
- 5:38Yeah, the PBA is the Professional Bowling Association am F is the I
- 5:44don't know. Those are the people that run the lanes. That's maybe those
- 5:48letters you always see on the little arm that comes down and sweeps all the
- 5:51pins, well that you didn't knock down. I've been bowling I think twice.
- 5:57Really growing up in Mesquite, I figured that would have been at least
- 6:00a weekly thing. No no, no, no no, that's that was
- 6:02a showtime lanes or in Mesuit and uh I went. We went once after
- 6:08prom and I think we will the next morning after prom, and then we
- 6:12went to I think I went there once after that, but no, it
- 6:16was just it's just not a it's just not an our people thing like this.
- 6:20Too many people in those shoes, like that's gross. Maybe maybe it's
- 6:25because you didn't have the proper lure to get you to the bowling alley and
- 6:31by and in this case, maybe what you were truly craving to get you
- 6:36inside of a bowling alley is naked old people. Yes, that's what That's
- 6:43what I know I was missing. Well you're not going to be missing it
- 6:46anymore because circa ninety circa nineteen ninety, here is Hard Copies feature about naked
- 6:55bowling in a small town. Mmmm. Oh wait, I have to unmute
- 7:02it one moment. Yeah, now we're talking static. No one in Lake
- 7:14Elson or California expected the eyeful they got on family bowling night, folks and
- 7:18bowling shoes and nothing else. Old bowling footage, black and white. It's
- 7:27the all American sport, family time, grilled cheese, team spirit. But
- 7:31bowling has changed the bits since Ralph Cramden and Laverne and Chirley rolled their strikes
- 7:36in Lake Elson, r California bowling will never be the same again. That's
- 7:41worth to Then in color, meet the sun Bunch Sunday Bowling League, fifty
- 7:47ladies and gentlemen who prefer bowling at the Brookstone Lanes in nothing but their bowling
- 7:53shoes and socks. What's going to be next is now this if we allow
- 7:58to have nude bowling, okay, but then what's next? So we say,
- 8:03well, since we have nude bawling, now we can have uh,
- 8:05nude shuffle board, you know, and then it's nude golfing and nude swimming,
- 8:13and before you know it, nude fucking. We can't have that.
- 8:18The Sun Bunch has found themselves under fire from home and above. They've been
- 8:24ordered to grin and barrett and keep their pants on. All we do is
- 8:28have a grand o time and holler and laugh and sheer and just have a
- 8:35good time. And all we do is Bold Lake Elsinore is a quiet little
- 8:41retirement villain talking. It is also home to thousands of nudists for more than
- 8:48half a century. Snug up in the mountains. Enjoy the privacy and the
- 8:52fresh air. There's nothing in the Bible that says you have have to wear
- 8:56your clothes. This is flowing owns McConville, the oldest naked resort in the
- 9:03nation, a couple of the early founders of nudism in America, where both
- 9:07the UH ministers. What a man came to town, one of the more
- 9:13unusual men of the ministry because he rides a motorcyat brought his congregation to this
- 9:18peaceful valley four years ago. We say, okay, Lord, would you
- 9:24join a nudist colony? And I'm telling you straight up, God is saying
- 9:28no, I wouldn't. But still everyone got along until the nudist took over
- 9:33the bowling alley. Jig Tel founded the Sun Bunch League. Last September with
- 9:43their naked bowlers, the Brookstone Alley finally had enough revenue to stay open on
- 9:46the weekend. Yeah that I told it is the newdest bowling league. They
- 9:50have to check with the fire department, the health department, all the different
- 9:56you know departments, the department ass department. The Sun Bunch blocking the windows
- 10:01and shaded the doors and went about their bowling. And for most of the
- 10:05season the sun Bunch was rolling along. They even bolstered Lake Elsinor's employment by
- 10:11hiring Kenny at the snack Barny Longing and guard the door. They're not hurting
- 10:16anyone, you know, they're having a good time for themselves and it's bringing
- 10:20money for us. Real quick, How was this not an eighty sitcom?
- 10:24How is Penny who's renting the shoes lining the security guy and all the all
- 10:28the naked people bowling at the bowling alley? It sounds like a nineteen forties
- 10:31propaganda ad. It's like, and don't forget to buy war bonds, like
- 10:35that's like the guy who's talking like this Barry Nolan guy, like and this
- 10:39is how our boys felt when they saw the nudists. Titties for America down
- 10:46with hit brought to you by Johnson and Jams. The folks up a Pastor
- 10:50Rich's Christian fellowship didn't cottonto the idea of naked people in the bowling alley.
- 10:56They called the State Alcohol Control Board those best. It's kind of like,
- 11:01hey, buddy, you know, if you want the Christians the bowl there,
- 11:03you're gonna have to tell these people to put clothes on. Just last
- 11:07week the state alcohol folks came around. The inspector said there are rules about
- 11:11serving alcohol around naked people. What's a bully alley without the beer. We
- 11:16pointed out to him that it had nothing to do with us, and that
- 11:22we were fully clothed as servers and that we were just serving nudists. He
- 11:28said that that didn't make any difference. He was going to use that regulation
- 11:31to take away our license. The Sun Bunch offered to forget the beer if
- 11:35they could finish up the season in the buff, but it was too late.
- 11:41We came here if we want to see naked people, good Lord,
- 11:46we see them all day long, so we didn't come here for that.
- 11:50We want to finish our league. In the end, the nudists put their
- 11:52shorts back on and simply bowl Topman to keep the bowling alley out of trouble.
- 11:58But they're hoping that its own temporary. We're not coming back as the
- 12:03Sun Punch League too bowl if we can't bowl in the way we contracted to
- 12:07be bud Watch out, folks. Pastor rich Is watching God was saying,
- 12:13hey, you guys need to be covered up now. What do you think
- 12:18you can bet that if the Reverend is right and they started things like nude
- 12:20golf will be there. Thank you, Barry Nolan for that, and thank
- 12:26you, thank you hard Copy, and thank you Trey for finding that little
- 12:31butt nugget of the Internet and sending it into the Treehouse games. Until Bob
- 12:37did his strike celebration. It probably did get a shaky start though, because
- 12:45Sue was too busy looking for the four finger bowl. I screwed that up.
- 12:50The four hole ball. That's what I want. I don't want anybody
- 12:54bowling the turkey there, did it? There's too much waddling. Oh God,
- 13:05love, I just love Barry Nolan. He's my new favorite. And
- 13:07that guy was reporting like he was from the forties, like and the nudists
- 13:11will be back. And I also remember stay away from the Germans, you
- 13:16know who bowls with the clothes on. Jerry. Oh, that was great,
- 13:24Thank you so much for it. I didn't watch it because I knew
- 13:28what it was going to do, which is white people. And once again
- 13:33it seems true because I grew up like during my adolescence whenever I go to
- 13:39my dad's house because he had HBO, and that meant if I stayed up
- 13:41late enough, I could then see the real sex show. And that was
- 13:46when I realized that most of the people that were naked on real sex.
- 13:48Were the people you didn't want to see naked, that kind of like that
- 13:52kind of like it nudist places. It's not exactly Victoria's secret models and playboy
- 13:56bunnies running around at the nudist colonies. No, no, no, these
- 14:01are the people. That's why they're in the mountains, like they just want
- 14:03to just gotta just go away, like we don't want to be able to
- 14:05look up and see it, so just go up into a mountain somewhere.
- 14:09But I do admire their their stance and wanting to finish their league to the
- 14:13point where they agreed to put pants on. You know, that's just that's
- 14:18dedicating. But the ladies, it's the ladies are still are still swinging,
- 14:24and if we're being honest, most of the men are not exactly in great
- 14:28shape, so they're swinging to let me And I think that's the most offensive
- 14:35part. I think Bob having to cover up his droopy balls there's a big
- 14:43bonus there. Yeah, especially when after he's done with his celebration, after
- 14:50after you know, throwing a strike is when he is when he airs his
- 14:54balls off over that little a big old smile and still it gets caught in
- 15:01between two balls coming in over the now that I think Pastor Jeff would have
- 15:11been. That was a sign from the Lord exactly. You're listening to the

- 16:57hard copy. Apparently nothing ruins a good time faster than a motorcycle riding evangelical,
- 17:07yes, I agree, or just evangelicals just in general to a certain
- 17:14extent. Yeah, but I wanted to be really specific here for Pastor Richard,
- 17:17who is very appropriately named. Yes, oh, Pastor dick Way to
- 17:23live up to the name, which, by the way, I really hate
- 17:27it when when people claim to speak for God. He's like, no,
- 17:30I talked to God. I asked him, and he said put your clothes
- 17:33on, and then I got on my motorcycle and ran away. It's like,
- 17:36well, I bet Pastor Richard felt really weird the first time he rolled
- 17:40into Sturgis. Yeah, that's as I don't. I don't think they well
- 17:45they let him in. I don't know, I mean not with that attitude.
- 17:49Yeah, I got invited to a buddy mine was a vice president over
- 17:53at a triumph and he's like, you gotta come to Sturges with me.
- 17:56And I'm like, I'm good, I'll fast. It's like, no,
- 18:00you got to man, come on. I'm like, I'll Is there a
- 18:03stop before I'll go all the way to that part? Is there? Is
- 18:08there south Sturges? Yeah? Is there a non murdery part of it?
- 18:14I'll go to that spot. Uh, you guys go have fun over there.
- 18:17I'll be over here. So yeah, that that the history of the
- 18:21Dakota's is steeped to murder. So you know, you sound like a really
- 18:26dejected tour guide of the Dakota's, the tour guide on his last day.
- 18:30It's all murder here, folks. I watched Deadwood. I know so speak
- 18:40speaking of of nudists and meaning that those are typically the people I don't want
- 18:45to see naked. I feel I feel like it's a natural segue to bring
- 18:51up someone else that I would not ever want to see naked at a newdist
- 18:53camp. Nor do I want to see him on the sidelines again as head
- 18:57coach of the Cowboys. And that is of Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones.
- 19:04Released a statement the other day. I'm going I read the whole statement,
- 19:11and I almost said where he pointed out and stated his confidence in Mike McCarthy
- 19:18to lead this team to the Promised Land. But as I go back and
- 19:22think about what he actually said in the statement, he really didn't say that
- 19:27this guy's great. He just said this is our He thinks it's their best
- 19:33shot, and which tells me it's kind of a lack of options because I
- 19:37feel like Jerry Jones is making this decision based on his age. He thinks,
- 19:41this is my last window to see a super Bowl before I die,
- 19:48and the best way to do that is to let McCarthy finish this out,
- 19:51because if he brings in somebody else or hires somebody else, then there's gonna
- 19:56be some rebuild and Jerry might die before he gets to hoist the trophy one
- 20:00last time. Trey, I am curious to know your your thoughts on McCarthy
- 20:06sticking around. I want to I would love to say I am shocked and
- 20:11surprised, but it's so typical of Jerry, and that's I mean. I
- 20:18think this pressure, the pressure he feels because of his age. I mean,
- 20:26I think that's been part of what's been guiding the team for probably the
- 20:29last ten years. And I just don't I don't know how you watched that
- 20:36game and watched Green Bay just dismantle you and go no, But we're on
- 20:42the right path because it's the same thing. I mean, great regular season
- 20:48in the playoffs and that's the other thing too. It's not like this was
- 20:51just one game under the tutelage of Mike McCarthy where we're all, as I
- 20:57said in the Football podcast last week, where we're all left a gape,
- 21:04because you had it previously this season with the Buffalo game where it looked like
- 21:08the Cowboys didn't even bother to show up, They didn't even bother to try
- 21:11them out to come back, at least at least in this game against the
- 21:15Packers. They got some garbage time touchdowns to make it seem a little bit
- 21:18better, but they were still terrible. Before that, they get rolled by
- 21:22San Francisco, they had, you know, the losses that they had this
- 21:26year were either they got their ass kicked or like the example in Philadelphia,
- 21:30they were so stupid they couldn't win. And then there's the previous beating by
- 21:36the forty nine ers in the playoffs where they don't have any clear strategy at
- 21:38the end of the game. In other words, there's multiple instances of McCarthy
- 21:42basically pulling on McCarthy, so it's not like this is an exception. Raj.
- 21:52My theory is what he threw the whatever was in his hand down and
- 21:56said that game, they started calling other coaches and yeah, uh, the
- 22:03his kids and him started calling other coaches and offering out the job. And
- 22:08I'm pretty sure the are you going to give up the general manager's position so
- 22:12that we can have more control came up and they and Jerry said nope.
- 22:17And the only person that would agree to it was Mike McCarthy and everybody else
- 22:19said no. So he had to save face because apparently there was a call
- 22:23put out to Belichick, so he had to save face from being told by
- 22:27being told no by every other coach that's available, and go, no,
- 22:32no, that's my guy. I believe in him. So it's at all
- 22:36if they would have If Belichick would have been like, you know what,
- 22:37you keep all the control and just let me do this and I'll do this
- 22:41and I'll get this, he would have immediately taken and I'm not. I'm
- 22:45not so convinced that even if Belichick had if that was if all that be
- 22:51let's if all that was true, and let's say if Belichick's like, yeah,
- 22:55you can keep this and I'll just coach, you can get your GM
- 22:56stuff, I still would not actually be in love with that hire because,
- 23:03for being honest, how did Belichick look after Brady? Right? So there
- 23:11was the concern I'm sure on Brady's part and thinking's like, hey, if
- 23:14I leave and I don't and if I don't succeed with Belichick, then he's
- 23:17going to get all the credit. But Brady obviously knew the deal. He's
- 23:19like, no, I'm I'm the badass. I'm gonna go to Tampa win
- 23:23one, and Belichick's gonna languish in New England. That's what happened. So
- 23:27I wouldn't have been one hundred percent on board with a Belichick higher anyway.
- 23:32But there's rumors that other people would have leapt at the job, like a
- 23:37Harbaugh Jim not John Jim Harbaugh Michigan. Rumors were he wanted. I think
- 23:42there's a couple other names mentioned that they would have been, Yeah, give
- 23:45me that job. But we don't know if those calls were made to those
- 23:48individuals or not, right, I just at the end of it, I
- 23:53just I feel, I understand that death is a hell of a motivator,
- 23:59and the fear of it is what seems to be motivating Jerry in the franchise.
- 24:06And also keeping in mind, yeah, Jerry has the GM title,
- 24:10but I mean in a big chunk of that has been handed off to Steven
- 24:12as it is, and Will McLay, who's you know, over the operations
- 24:18and is in charge basically of the draft, who's drafted his ass off in
- 24:21the years that he's been working with the Cowboys, specifically before that he was
- 24:26in the organization ish as the head coach of the Desperadoes. I just I'm
- 24:33sorry if I'm if I'm an NFL coach and they say, hey, you
- 24:34want to coach the Cowboys, You're going to say yes. Whether or not
- 24:37it's the GM thing, unless you're a Belichick type, I don't know.
- 24:41And it's also you know, admitting, you know, Jerry admitting that he
- 24:45was wrong, like, hey, you know this was the wrong I made
- 24:48the wrong call by keeping him over Kellen Moore because I think, regardless of
- 24:52what Kellen Moore. You can say that he's done, you know, terrible
- 24:56over over in Los Angeles, but he's brand new with the brand new team.
- 25:02He was doing very well with this team and had I think they let
- 25:06go of McCarthy and moved Kellen Moore. I think it would have been a
- 25:10more successful team. I don't know if they would have gone to the super
- 25:12Bowl, and I think it would have been a much more successful team.
- 25:15You're getting the vulcan eyebrow from the trade. Yes, yeah, there was
- 25:21nothing about Kellen Moore's offensive play calling that I there was. There were fresh
- 25:26plays to be a head coach, No, no, but I think I
- 25:29think there was a young He brought a young, energetic style to coaching,
- 25:33and I think he had some new ideas. He had some plays that were
- 25:36not your traditional NFL football plays. I liked that. I liked you know,
- 25:41we need to get it's the same thing, man, It's it's it's
- 25:45like it's you stop having old old dudes coaching because they have an old mentality.
- 25:52Well, I will say this though, about McCarthy. His play calling
- 25:55on the offensive side, it was better than Kellen Moore's. There was more.
- 26:00There's actually more creativity with what McCarthy was doing versus Kellen Moore, because
- 26:03one of the big gripes we all had while watching games called by Kellen Moore
- 26:07was after the game opposing defense is that one said, yeah, we knew
- 26:12what they were running. There was also like a complete lack of motion.
- 26:17We were getting two X and O on it. But I mean, at
- 26:21least McCarthy would move ceedee lamb around the field to make you find him,
- 26:25whereas you know, Kellen mar' is like, oh, I get there he
- 26:26is, there's eighty eight. We got him. Anyway, My whole thing
- 26:30is then he goes back to the coach sets sort of the standard for the
- 26:33culture, sets the attitude for the team, and a blah looking McCarthy on
- 26:38the sideline transitioned into a blah looking team, especially when they get their ass
- 26:45kicked, because they all look like kind of like, well what happened?
- 26:48And next thing you know, McCarthy's thinking more about his Sonic Drive home order.
- 26:55Maybe just the waitetime on his order was so long. He's like,
- 26:59oh, I can't I can't coach this team. It's gonna take fifty five
- 27:03minutes for it to get here. That is under now. I don't know.
- 27:07Uh, I just think keeping McCarthy here for I mean, what is
- 27:11in what's the contract extension another year? There's not an extension. He's just
- 27:15he's got one year left, one left, and that's what's gonna He's just
- 27:19basically whether or not he sees the end of the contract. I don't know,
- 27:22because if they start the season, if they start the season like crap,
- 27:26then Jerry will bounce him. I think the big question is gonna be
- 27:29is whether or not we retain dan Quinn because in my mind, you could
- 27:32have very easily jettisoned McCarthy and upped dan Quinn would be great and not had
- 27:37a huge loss other than figuring something out on the offensive side. Yeah,
- 27:45I think that would have been I would have preferred that. I think that
- 27:47would have been great. Yeah, that's a that's a but again it is
- 27:52you know, the the fans calling for McCarthy's head and Jerry going no,
- 27:55I'm not wrong. I think I think then that what we're left with is
- 28:02that clearly McCarthy has video of Jerry Jones naked bowling, and that's that's the
- 28:07only thing keeping him on the sidelines. Although let's be honest, if a
- 28:12video of Jerry Jones surfaced of him naked bowling, especially circa nineteen ninety and
- 28:18being caught on camera by hard copy, would any of us have been surprised?
- 28:22No, grossed out, but not surprised. Uh, you can't unsee
- 28:30that now, man, You know what it really was. It really was
- 28:33as Jerry said then that those glory whole days, because I mean that was'ts
- 28:40that's pre salary kept partying right there at the bowling alley, naked, cocaine
- 28:48snorting and in the corner Michael Irvin going, is there any other kind?
- 29:00You're in the tree House? Visit us online at Treehouseonair dot com. Let's
- 29:11get Carrie Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration into the Treehouse for your free
- 29:15roof inspection eight three three cook DFW the website cookdfw dot com. I have
- 29:19a very serious question for you today, Carrie, and I want you to
- 29:22pay very close attention to it, Okay, because it's very important. I
- 29:26got a all. Right, here we go. So Applebe's the very famous
- 29:30chain restaurant. They are selling a date night pass costs two hundred bucks.
- 29:34And this means you would get thirty dollars off your next fifty two visits over
- 29:38the next year, and if you use it properly, you could save thirteen
- 29:44hundred dollars in the year. So my question to you is, if you
- 29:48had to choose one chain restaurant to eat at for an entire year, where
- 29:52are you taking Daniel or where has he taken you? So national chain,
- 29:56well wouldn't be apple Bee's. I can promise you that one. Ooh,
- 29:59okay, I would do it for writy. So I would say maybe Texas
- 30:02Roadhouse. Oh, I hadn't thought about that one. That's a good one.
- 30:04That's a really good one. What do you think, Well, I
- 30:07hadn't thought of Texas Roadhouse. But the added benefit of Texas Roadhouse is maybe
- 30:11you're an into their kick ass manager Don Swayzee, and right there exactly,
- 30:19that's exactly what's gonna happen. That might be worth fifty two visits for the
- 30:22year. My answer, though, my answer was Chili's for two reasons.
- 30:29Number One, Tara and I and our last couple of visits uh To uh
- 30:33To, Texas have not been able to stop in it. Chilis to get
- 30:36the chips in salsa with the ranch. Have you done that? No,
- 30:41Yeah, it's not. It's not like a like a super secret menu hack.
- 30:44It's something you know what you do as you get the chips and salsa,
- 30:45you also ask for a side of ranch, and then you combine.
- 30:48You combine the ranch and it is good. And those chips are paper thin
- 30:55and I can eat of them. And the menu have some decent variety as
- 31:00well. But I could. I could probably live on chips. I like,
- 31:03I like yours. I like the Texas Roadhouse. That's good because you
- 31:04can people can live on the rolls alone. In case you've had too much
- 31:10butter and rolls and you've been running around your roof, you probably have some
- 31:12holes that you've put in it, So you need to call COOKDFW Roofing and
- 31:17Restoration right now for that free roof inspection eight three to three cook DFW or
- 31:21the website cookdfw dot com. Business online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 31:26Very excited. How to talk to Jacqueline inside the Treehouse. She is of
- 31:30course from Brooks Plumbing for all your plumbing once and needs, especially if you've

- 31:37three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. I asked this off Kerrie Cook from
- 31:41COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration, and I'm curious to get your thoughts as well.
- 31:45Applebee's has made available their date Night Pass that means you can eat at Applebees
- 31:51every week of the year or one price two hundred bucks, and if you
- 31:53use it properly, you could save thirteen hundred dollars over the year. So
- 31:57my question to you is this, if you had to choose one chain restaurant
- 32:01to eat at for an entire year, where are you going? I want
- 32:06to cheat. I want to give a two part answer. Local chain will
- 32:08always be Campeses. I need the pizza, I answer right there. Yeah,
- 32:15but a boom, you know, but a ban But if I have
- 32:19to choose a national chaines, It's gonna be texted at the Roadhouse. I
- 32:22have nothing against Applebee's nothing, no, And it not that that's the most
- 32:27fantastic chain restaurant by any means, but I feel like, I mean,
- 32:31it's steak, It's Texas Roadhouse. Do you not miss the the buns living
- 32:36where you live? The rolls? Oh? I do? I do?
- 32:38And it's and it's fantastic because Kerrie Cook said the same thing. She also
- 32:43said Texas Roadhouse. The rolls in the butter were mentioned steak. Certainly.
- 32:47Yeah, if they opened up a Texas Roadhouse here on Saint John, I'd
- 32:51probably be doing sawdust angels in the middle of the floor. Well, clearly,
- 32:53this segment of the treehouse brought to you by Texas Roadhouse, not Cook
- 32:59Roofing and not Brooks Plumbing. It was Texas Roadhouse. You know what,

- 33:14go out together. Okay the next road trip we can have at a Texas
- 33:17Roadhouse when you come back to town next and they can sponsor it. And
- 33:22not only that, but we can have Don Swaysey run security for us.
- 33:25I'd be perfect. Yes. I bought Colby, my husband fiance whatever.
- 33:31He is, a double deuced Staff T shirt for Christmas. So he's got
- 33:37a roadhouse and say Staff on the back over the moon. He better be
- 33:44that's awesome. I haven't even seen that. Send me the link to that.
- 33:46I't want to see what that looks like. So not only great at
- 33:50plumbing, but very cool and big fans of Texas Roadhouse, It is Jacqueline
- 33:54from Brooks Plumbing. Give them a call for those plumbing once and needs two
- 33:57one four, three six eight thirty eight thirty eight and Brooks Plumbing Texas dot

- 34:22eight thirty eight thirty eight. Two one four, three six eight thirty eight
- 34:25thirty eight. Or that website is Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com. Just a real
- 34:34quick yes or no? Uh? Are you guys fans of the Applebee's your
- 34:37neighborhood restaurant or is it your neighborhood bistrom? I don't know if I've ever
- 34:43been, oh an Applebee's Virgin. You're from Mesquite and you've never been to
- 34:47Applebee's. That's a that's a serious accomplishment. I've been to Chili. Is
- 34:52enough time? To count on one hand, I don't. Isn't that kind
- 35:00of the same place? No, no, no, no, Chilis has
- 35:01chicken crispers. No, they don't anymore. They've they've taken I know they
- 35:07got rid of the skillet case though, and that's I think where they kind
- 35:08of. But but the the Jay mcclintok, the GM over at uh,
- 35:15the Jamilclinton, the GM Jay McClintock at the Addison improv refuses to ever eat
- 35:21at Chilies again because they removed the crispers. You know what, I understand
- 35:25the boycott. I understand the position and I respect it. I don't I
- 35:31maybe have been inside the bar to have a beer. Maybe. I don't
- 35:37think I've ever been to an Applebee's. I can are you a big foam
- 35:40finger number one of the Applebee's. I've been to Applebee's. I uh,
- 35:47it's it's been a minute and there there there are none around me. Uh.
- 35:52Applebee's is like a mall suburbs type thing in my mind more than anything.
- 35:58Yeah, you're closer to the heart of Dallas, and it's not a
- 36:00whole lot of Applebee's action. There isn't the one where then were you used
- 36:04to living where I currently live now. Isn't the one allcross from now Walmart?
- 36:07Isn't there on Marsh in that in that Carleton areas the water Burger and
- 36:15the the Starbucks. Isn't it? Isn't that an apple Bee's right there?
- 36:20I believe it is there is There is an Applebee's there. And the entire
- 36:22time that Tara and I lived in that general vicinity of Frankfurt and Marsh,
- 36:28we went to that Applebee's once. Oh okay, it's not It's not a
- 36:30good Applebee's. I don't know the difference is there? Does that exist?
- 36:35I mean, I don't know. It's like all I know is I'm asking
- 36:38you guys this because Applebee's just in time for Valentine's Day. Uh So,
- 36:43Raj, if you're looking for something to get your lady for Valentine's Day,
- 36:47I've got you. Applebee's is has announced their date Night Pass for two hundred
- 36:53dollars. You can get the Applebee's Date Night Pass, which is good for
- 37:00thirty percent off fifty two dinners for an entire year, which if used properly,
- 37:07you could save thirteen hundred dollars in that year. So there you go.
- 37:15There's the big there's the Wow Valentine's Gift. You can get your Lady
- 37:19Raj. It's the Applebe's Date Night Pass. And I have the TV on
- 37:22in front of me and there's a commercial. Does that include the Applebee's fourteen
- 37:28ninety nine All you Can Eat is that? Oh? I don't know,
- 37:32but typically that's where you want to read that fine print at the bottom of
- 37:36the screen, and a lot of times that fine print will say cannot combine
- 37:38offers got you, but I don't know got you? Okay, because this
- 37:44is apparently but it's just the commercials over. But apparently it was some sort
- 37:49of buffalo bite and maybe some sort of shrimp and ribs of some sort were
- 37:55on this all you can Eat apple Apple Bee. Man, if I took
- 38:01my girl with that Applebee's, that's where I go so so so I'm dying
- 38:07and this is all the money I have left for this place. Please just
- 38:10get the all you can eat that's or if she takes me to Applebee's,
- 38:15I'm waiting to come back home and all my ship is packed. So then
- 38:20let me ask you, guys, if and it's fine to say Applebe's if
- 38:23that's your answer, If you had to eat at any chain restaurant for an
- 38:27entire year. Where are you gonna go? What's your choice? An entire
- 38:32year? I would have to eat once a week. You said, once
- 38:37a week chain restaurant for an entire year. Where are you going? I
- 38:42could go? I could. I could do outback. I'm with you.
- 38:47That's a good answer. I like out back there they're harder to find.
- 38:51Yeah. Is the one in Addison still there off the belt line? Yeah?
- 38:53Yeah, okay, good because that that that was that was our go
- 38:57to outback for a while. I out back is always pleased to me.
- 39:00Uh in Texas, land and cattle were still around, I might have gone
- 39:04that route. Yeah, but I think for me it might actually I think
- 39:08it might be Chili's because at least at least there's a variety there and and
- 39:14tar, and I can get to chips and salsa and ranch. Could you
- 39:17get now that they're making a comeback my number one spot, I'd have to
- 39:22go with Steak and Ale. Oh yeah, they are making a comeback.
- 39:25I forgot about that. Okay when they opened back up Trey. You need
- 39:29to go and then come back and be the true and be the Treehouse food
- 39:31critic and let us know how the new Steak and Ale is. Absolutely aren't
- 39:36they opening just in the in the Midwest right now, there's like seven Steak
- 39:38and eles opening in the Midwest. They have plans to relaunch it. But
- 39:42I know the other one that's making a comeback, and I would go there
- 39:45because I enjoyed the monte Cristo. I would have I would have gone to
- 39:47a Bennigans. Bring on the Bennigans baby. Maybe that's maybe that's the answer.
- 39:52Maybe that's the question I should be asking, which is, if you
- 39:53could bring back a dead national restaurant chain, what would it be? And
- 39:59the O'Malley house old is firmly in support of bringing back Benniganster and I were
- 40:02just talking about it yesterday about how we could really go for some Bennegan's honey
- 40:07mustard, the turkey o tool. Oh yeah, oh yeah. I went
- 40:09to uh, there's some I can't remember the name of the bar and on
- 40:13the bar restaurant Legacy West, and they had a monte Cristo that was pretty
- 40:16pretty good, but it wasn't wasn't anywhere near the old Bennigans trey where you're
- 40:22going for a year. I'd have to say, if Chili still had the
- 40:30Terlingua Burger, which was the Chili Burger, I probably would say Chili's.
- 40:35Uh. TGI Fridays, Oh, tatuskins never go wrong, Okay, okay,
- 40:42Yeah, the the appetizer menu at TGI Fridays was was was pretty solid.
- 40:46I get that, Okay, they do. They still have to wear
- 40:50the flair and they have to have a certain number of flare on them.
- 40:54I haven't been to a Fridays and so long. I couldn't tell you if
- 40:58they still if that's evening. That is one thing that that the movie Office
- 41:04Space probably really changed the the HR issues with TGI Fridays. It's like,
- 41:09now, if we can really keep this up after the movie. Yeah,
- 41:13but that's the oldest thing that you said in a while. Trade like,
- 41:16I haven't been doing applebee TGI Fridays in so long. It could be TG
- 41:20on Mondays by now. Maybe bring it back and make it, make it
- 41:27TGI three day weekends, TGI Bank Holiday. Look, all I know is
- 41:36this, you got Applebee's with the date Night pass for two hundred bucks,
- 41:39and I'm left with a single thought of if you're having date night at Applebee's,
- 41:45you need a divorce pass. Having date night at Applebee's, you're cheating
- 41:52on your wife. If you're using date night at Applebee's, you spent over
- 42:01thirty five dollars at Applebee's. Hey, question all your decisions Applebee's. Who
- 42:10know hookers like to eat here? Oh? Come on, you knew,
- 42:20you knew the dollar marks get him every time? All right, thanks for
- 42:28hanging out with us Inside the Treehouse, episode seventy one. We'll see you
- 42:30later on this week back inside the Treehouse for now, have a great week.
- 42:35Raj's good luck at physical therapy. Thank you, Trey. If you
- 42:38roll past the TGI Fridays hop in just'm I'm gonna stop buying the Ritz.
- 42:45And that's one of the hookers. I'm like, I know you know you're
- 42:47slumming it here here? How about it go to apple Bees? Why don't
- 42:53you ditch this this this place? Yeah? Or she's just looking at you
- 42:58know, great, I have a date pass. Chee cheeze I
