- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Greatest of all time Love songs three four eight
- 2:11Speaker 2: three if you've got any suggestions, flick us a text,
- 2:13Speaker 2: every single text in the draw for fifty dollars worth
- 2:15Speaker 2: of Reburger. We'll be ripping into that next For now though,
- 2:19Speaker 2: bit a sound garden best of the Big Show.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Up next The Hiarchy Big Show weekdays from four on
- 2:25Speaker 1: Radio Hot Cold Play.
- 2:26Speaker 2: On The Hidarcky Big Show, it was Wednesday afternoon with
- 2:29Speaker 2: Keezy and pugs Caezy.
- 2:30Speaker 3: This time two years ago, Hoody j was looking at
- 2:33Speaker 3: doing a bit of house maintenance and he saw it
- 2:35Speaker 3: as a really really wholesome Big Show team bonding opportunity.
- 2:40Speaker 7: I actually I wanted Pugsund to come in for this
- 2:44Speaker 7: particular voice break because I wanted to talk to the
- 2:47Speaker 7: whole team. But he's he's so paranoid about Connie Chet
- 2:51Speaker 7: that he won't come in.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Well, because every time he comes in, you play the
- 2:54Speaker 6: Connie Chet sting, and that is a case of.
- 2:57Speaker 7: Crying wolf once bitten to our Yeah, okay, point, we
- 3:02Speaker 7: weren't going to do Connie chat, but I'll have to
- 3:05Speaker 7: go on without him.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Now, Fellows got a favor to ask? How big a favor?
- 3:10Speaker 5: Because your favors tend to be messive. Well, it's not
- 3:12Speaker 5: that big a favor.
- 3:13Speaker 7: But I say a favor, it's also could be a
- 3:16Speaker 7: really fun time and a good team building exercise for us,
- 3:20Speaker 7: you know what I mean.
- 3:20Speaker 5: So don't look upon it as a favor.
- 3:23Speaker 7: Look upon it as us spending time together having fun
- 3:26Speaker 7: and doing something with a purpose.
- 3:28Speaker 5: If I can phrase it that way, sounds good.
- 3:31Speaker 6: I love team building exercises.
- 3:34Speaker 5: And also doingustic exercises. Stuff with a good for a
- 3:37Speaker 5: good purpose. Totally is a charity or something. No, it's
- 3:41Speaker 5: not a charity. Well, I guess in a way, it
- 3:43Speaker 5: kind of is.
- 3:44Speaker 7: But my backyard is just blown out, fellas. But there's
- 3:51Speaker 7: been a lot going on. There's been a lot going
- 3:54Speaker 7: on in my life the last month or two, and
- 3:57Speaker 7: my backyard is just completely out of control black and
- 4:03Speaker 7: I really and my wife and I are sort of
- 4:05Speaker 7: thinking maybe of selling up and stuff like that. So
- 4:07Speaker 7: we just want to sort of tidy up the whole property.
- 4:09Speaker 7: And I was thinking, this is too big a job
- 4:11Speaker 7: for hoodie j. I mean, I'm a hard worker, don't
- 4:14Speaker 7: you worry about it, But it's too big for me,
- 4:16Speaker 7: you know. And I want to break up some pavements
- 4:18Speaker 7: and stuff as well, and get rid of that and
- 4:20Speaker 7: I thought, well, hang on, why don't I get the
- 4:23Speaker 7: feels around and we all work on it over the weekend,
- 4:28Speaker 7: we all chipping.
- 4:29Speaker 5: You could bring your trucky, your little trucky, kids, and
- 4:31Speaker 5: we could load.
- 4:33Speaker 7: The slabs on that, the concrete slabs, and you can
- 4:35Speaker 7: take it to the tip and just tidy the place up.
- 4:38Speaker 5: You know. I'll make some snacks and stuff like that.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Keysy can bring a few beersies pugs and can make
- 4:44Speaker 7: his sticky beef. It'll be fun, a bit of a
- 4:48Speaker 7: bit of a slumber party. My wife can go and
- 4:50Speaker 7: stay at her mates. Has came my daughter. Just be
- 4:52Speaker 7: a boy's weekend.
- 4:55Speaker 5: So sweet Runner, I know you'll be massively involved. You'd
- 4:59Speaker 5: be telling us what to do. Oh you're yeah. I
- 5:02Speaker 5: wouldn't want to put you under any kind of because
- 5:07Speaker 5: sore backs. I wanted to talk to a back sound
- 5:09Speaker 5: about his shagger's back.
- 5:10Speaker 2: But all right, can I just say, from what I've
- 5:14Speaker 2: heard so far, it doesn't sound very team building. It
- 5:17Speaker 2: sounds very renovate Hoidy J's property completely through him, which
- 5:20Speaker 2: I know is a shambles well and like a massive,
- 5:23Speaker 2: massive job.
- 5:23Speaker 6: Oh look, it's a massive job. But I just feel
- 5:25Speaker 6: that Cray Senior house. You said as an absolute style.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Did I?
- 5:30Speaker 7: The thing is, I think the sense of achievement at
- 5:34Speaker 7: the end of it, you know where we've all worked together.
- 5:36Speaker 7: We've knitted together as a team, and Hoidy Jay's property
- 5:39Speaker 7: looks prem Yeah. We've had a few laughs along the way,
- 5:43Speaker 7: a few beersies, maybe a couple of BUCkies, you know,
- 5:47Speaker 7: a bit of sticky beef, are you keen?
- 5:50Speaker 5: Well, how about this?
- 5:51Speaker 2: We'll do that and then after that we do my
- 5:53Speaker 2: place because my backyard needs tining up as well.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I'm not going there easy.
- 5:58Speaker 7: It's a horror of the mess around you on mcmogie
- 6:02Speaker 7: was telling me he's seen its is in an absolute
- 6:04Speaker 7: bloody sty.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Did you say that?
- 6:06Speaker 6: Oh me?
- 6:07Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, Yeah, it's a shocker.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Also, you said loading blocks and concrete onto my truck
- 6:15Speaker 2: instead of loading what's that about?
- 6:20Speaker 8: You guys started it?
- 6:24Speaker 2: Geez, all of us there were on a mispronouncing words
- 6:27Speaker 2: bloody spree, won't we.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Yeah, but at least you stay on track with the
- 6:30Speaker 4: yarn man.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Yeah, we gave it a crack there.
- 6:32Speaker 2: It's funny watching Jason constantly get sidetracked by other yards
- 6:35Speaker 2: and they go, oh no, no, anyway, what was I saying?
- 6:37Speaker 2: Of course, the Big Show every single episode we've ever

- 8:14Speaker 2: comes from Edward an absolute cracker from Pearl Jam Last Kiss, so.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Sad it is. It's a lovely song.
- 8:26Speaker 2: We also had Neil texting and he suggested nine inch
- 8:29Speaker 2: Nails closer.
- 8:31Speaker 4: I love the song, it's a little less romantic.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It's not very romantic, is it. I suppose it depends
- 8:39Speaker 2: who you're you're playing it too. That's one A great
- 8:41Speaker 2: suggestion from Justin Robin Hood. Of course everything I do.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Brian Adams, you know that's that is an all time
- 8:47Speaker 2: great love song. Can't play Brian Adams on Hodaki though.

- 9:21Speaker 4: or sad man, man, it.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Stayed together regards. This is one of my all time
- 9:25Speaker 2: favorite songs. I Don't blame you, so love you.
- 9:30Speaker 4: That's my greatest of all time love songs it is.
- 9:32Speaker 2: And I'm gonna be honest that was top two for

- 9:37Speaker 6: Man?
- 9:37Speaker 5: And Pugs fied off.
- 9:40Speaker 2: This is love right here we're talking Barry very White.

- 10:02Speaker 5: Baby, that's right.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I just called it my smush song.
- 10:06Speaker 5: No, I don't.
- 10:06Speaker 2: That's which one would you like to vote for New Zealand?
- 10:09Speaker 2: You can text us three four eight three or go
- 10:11Speaker 2: to the Darky Big Show Instagram story.
- 10:12Speaker 1: The hold Achy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 10:15Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio hold Ik.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Radio head on the Hodarky Big Show. Reminder to keep
- 10:21Speaker 2: an ear out for the cu to call and you
- 10:22Speaker 2: could be joining Pugs myself, Hoiity j and Margie flying
- 10:25Speaker 2: down to Willington, free flights, free accommodation for beer Barna.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Another best of the Big Show moment from August past Keezy.
- 10:33Speaker 4: This time last year we were down.
- 10:35Speaker 5: Two people of the Big Show.
- 10:36Speaker 3: The joke the people yearned to get the Fellers back,
- 10:40Speaker 3: but instead, out of that trouble one of the greatest
- 10:43Speaker 3: radio duos of all time was born.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Oh god, hey, it says here that Pugs has got
- 10:51Speaker 2: some amazing stings.
- 10:52Speaker 7: Yeah, well, while you were away, obviously, Fellers, it was
- 10:55Speaker 7: just a two of us here battling away with two
- 10:57Speaker 7: thirds of the show away.
- 10:58Speaker 5: And can I just say once again, amazing I was
- 11:01Speaker 5: listening to the podcast while I was in Europe. God, yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 5: you know.
- 11:05Speaker 7: And the reality is one of the big things we
- 11:08Speaker 7: had to decide our name. We were running with the
- 11:10Speaker 7: Hodaki Big chode for a long time.
- 11:13Speaker 5: It's a good name. Let's talk us through it. Wow,
- 11:16Speaker 5: just the radio Hodaki big Chode. But why is it?
- 11:20Speaker 5: Because you're sure it speaks for itself? Geezy, you know
- 11:23Speaker 5: what I mean? Yeah, right, okay. But we put it to.
- 11:27Speaker 7: The people, and the one that got the most overwhelming response,
- 11:31Speaker 7: which we were both a little bit unsure of at first,
- 11:35Speaker 7: was sperm Boy and the Jezz. Now, I've got to say,
- 11:40Speaker 7: after my initial thought, it grew on me. Yeah right,
- 11:44Speaker 7: And so we went with sperm Boy and the Jazz,
- 11:47Speaker 7: and then dra and then of course pugsun made all
- 11:49Speaker 7: these incredible stings for sperm.
- 11:51Speaker 5: Boy and the going to Save Yeah we can far away. Okay,
- 11:58Speaker 5: all right, here's the first one, Pugs more like Scowboy
- 12:03Speaker 5: of the Jez. So good. How good? So that's what
- 12:10Speaker 5: you guys were playing while we were, well, no, I'll
- 12:12Speaker 5: get to I'll get to the drama. Keep playing the
- 12:14Speaker 5: other one. There's more than one. Screwboy so good, so good,
- 12:23Speaker 5: kick go and the Jews.
- 12:29Speaker 8: That's my favorite one, the Jews.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Yeah right right, there's one more. You want to hear
- 12:34Speaker 5: that one?
- 12:34Speaker 8: Yes, spurb Boy, that's pretty good as well. Yeah, they're
- 12:44Speaker 8: pretty good. Yeah, then drama fellas.
- 12:46Speaker 7: Then drama management got involved and said, you can't call
- 12:50Speaker 7: yourself spun Boy.
- 12:52Speaker 5: And the JEZ.
- 12:53Speaker 7: Yeah, why you know, and Pugs had made all these
- 12:56Speaker 7: four sensational things which we couldn't be play right because
- 13:01Speaker 7: management bogs he up in his eye, fory tie, We're
- 13:04Speaker 7: not having it, So we kind of had to run
- 13:06Speaker 7: with the Hodecki Big chowd for the rest of the time.
- 13:10Speaker 7: But we got sperm Boy and the jis in there sometimes.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Right, okay?
- 13:14Speaker 2: And why why were you called Spoonboy and the JS
- 13:17Speaker 2: because I can see where Bogs is coming from.
- 13:19Speaker 7: Well, it's just that's what the people when they yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 7: they voted when they visualized the two of us working together,
- 13:26Speaker 7: it was Spumboy and obvious. Obvious reasons for old Pugs
- 13:29Speaker 7: are the stallion that he is. You know how many
- 13:31Speaker 7: condoms he goes through, man, And of course I know
- 13:35Speaker 7: I'm the Jezz. It is it makes sense.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Actually, Pugs, how you finding It've been back in
- 13:42Speaker 2: the producers both mate.
- 13:43Speaker 4: It feels really good, man. I'm just happy to have
- 13:45Speaker 4: the full show back.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, honestly, Spumboy and the JS will stick with me.
- 13:49Speaker 5: That forever. I'll say that, same here, Pugs, Thanks, Hey,
- 13:53Speaker 5: same here.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Man.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I was listening to me, yeah, yeah, ever run in
- 13:56Speaker 2: Europe was talking about it all.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Sperm boy and the was on everybody's lips.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Do you know what that was saying?
- 14:04Speaker 5: You simply must listen to it.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Tell you what, when you're on holiday and you work
- 14:08Speaker 2: in radio, you're always thinking, oh, I wonder how the
- 14:10Speaker 2: radio shows go.
- 14:11Speaker 3: So many people thought that Hoody Jeers, well the ers
- 14:16Speaker 3: in this case, and I spind Boy would be merely
- 14:19Speaker 3: surviving Keyzy, but we were thriving.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Man, I don't think you were pugs.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I think I think it was the same as someone
- 14:26Speaker 2: last in the middle of the ocean, desperately trying to
- 14:27Speaker 2: keep their head above water.
- 14:28Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 14:29Speaker 2: And then Kezy and Mogi get home from Europe, you
- 14:32Speaker 2: simply muster.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Have you seen the lifeboats? Those four stings that just
- 14:35Speaker 3: played me, those are the lifeboats.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Super So whenever you start sinking quick far off a sting,
- 14:40Speaker 2: that's it.
- 14:40Speaker 4: That's pretty much exactly what we did.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, And when we're struggling, pugs, you know what we do.
- 14:44Speaker 1: We played mus The Hodarchy Big show was Jason, Mike
- 14:49Speaker 1: and kezy tune.
- 14:50Speaker 5: In on radio. Can I get me Buddy of Beer
- 14:54Speaker 5: is a big show Bavana support brew crew.
- 15:00Speaker 2: A beer that's right, your chance to win flights, accommodation
- 15:04Speaker 2: tickets to be Vanna and also join the Hodarcky team
- 15:07Speaker 2: down at Bethel Woods, which is a great bar in
- 15:10Speaker 2: the center of Wellington. There we are broadcasting on Thursday,
- 15:13Speaker 2: the twentieth of August, eight days away.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Actually, yeah, it's come up pretty quick.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Certainly has doing a live show four or seven pm.
- 15:20Speaker 2: So you'll be part of the crew for that. And
- 15:22Speaker 2: by part of the crew, I mean Pugs might attempt
- 15:24Speaker 2: to give you some jobs to do, but mostly you'll
- 15:25Speaker 2: just be wearing just be wearing a backbone shirt and
- 15:29Speaker 2: drinking beers and stuff like that responsibly. Of course, all
- 15:31Speaker 2: you have to do is listen out for the Q
- 15:32Speaker 2: to call, then ring our weight one hundred Hodarchy. Let's
- 15:34Speaker 2: go to the lines. Now, get a Paul. How are
- 15:37Speaker 2: you going?
- 15:39Speaker 5: I'm good? Yeah, good mate. What have you been doing today?
- 15:41Speaker 2: Man?
- 15:43Speaker 5: Just working on a compliance officer? Aha? What are you complying? Paul?
- 15:49Speaker 5: We're chicking resource and sent top of them. Yeah cool, yeah, nice,
- 15:56Speaker 5: that sounds like fun.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Paul. Do you think, Paul, that you could check the
- 15:59Speaker 3: compliance that everybody's having beers and a good time at
- 16:01Speaker 3: Beervana at the Support crew show next week?
- 16:05Speaker 5: Nice Pugs, Absolutely.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Good stuff, absolutely of it.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Whats what Pugs was doing there, Paul? Is a good test?
- 16:17Speaker 2: Is he was showing you what someone steamed looks like.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So if you see that and you're part of the crew,
- 16:22Speaker 2: you need to basically kick them out of the pub.
- 16:24Speaker 5: Is that all good?
- 16:25Speaker 6: That sounds good to me?
- 16:26Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 16:26Speaker 2: You're good on you, mate, if you if you win, mate,
- 16:29Speaker 2: who will you bring with you?
- 16:31Speaker 5: I think I'll bring my wife? Actually, it would be
- 16:34Speaker 5: nice anniversary outing.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah, she'll be stoked, man, She'll be like, oh, what
- 16:38Speaker 2: do we doing for our anniversary? You're going to go
- 16:40Speaker 2: to the big show at a pub. That's great and
- 16:43Speaker 2: Pugs will be steamed. Paul, you're in the draw, mate.
- 16:46Speaker 5: You hold the line, all right.
- 16:47Speaker 4: You don't have to hold the line. Ball, I've got
- 16:48Speaker 4: you in here.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Brother.
- 16:49Speaker 2: You hold the line, brother, Love, you hold the line.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Okay? Who are we going to the next Pucks?
- 16:54Speaker 4: Let's go to Martin? What's up? Martin? And christ Church?
- 16:56Speaker 6: Man?
- 16:57Speaker 5: Oh, what's up? I'm good to boys.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Nice Martyre, what do you do for a Chruss brother?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, get on your back barone had a good day, man,
- 17:07Speaker 2: I had a good day.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Help my pumer put a fire, and help my Sparky
- 17:11Speaker 5: put off the bathroom.
- 17:12Speaker 7: And now I'm just.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Playing with the dog.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:15Speaker 2: What kind of dog you got, man, Unaunngle. Oh nice,
- 17:21Speaker 2: pretty active dog man. You have to take it for
- 17:22Speaker 2: lots of runs and stuff.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Right, yep, she's got a lot of Yeah. Good on
- 17:26Speaker 5: your mate.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You're a good team member, Martin, You bloody wrapper mate.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Well I'll tell you what. We'll put you in the
- 17:32Speaker 5: drawer for that trip down to Wellington. All right, thank
- 17:35Speaker 5: you so much. You hold the line there.
- 17:38Speaker 4: You have to hold hold the line already, And.
- 17:41Speaker 5: I said, if you don't hold the line, you're not okay.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Good stuff, pugs. A reminder this is happening next week
- 17:49Speaker 2: Thursday the twentieth. We are at Beith the Woods down
- 17:51Speaker 2: in Wellington. Beer Varner happens the Friday and the Saturday.
- 17:54Speaker 2: If you are keen for Wellington's ultimate celebration of good beer,
- 17:58Speaker 2: then here to be a Vanner dot co dot z
- 18:00Speaker 2: and get yourself some tickets.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Wheezer the Hidichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodichy.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Wheezer On The Hidarky Big Show. Wednesday afternoon with Keezy
- 18:14Speaker 2: and Pugs, it is almost five o'clock, which means it's
- 18:16Speaker 2: time to talk Telly. What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue?
- 18:25Speaker 2: Yeah you, Mike Minogue's not here, but they won't stop
- 18:28Speaker 2: us from chatting TV.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Pugs all that you rip in.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Mate, I watched one of my favorite things I've watched
- 18:34Speaker 3: this entire year.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Wow, and the top of my list so far for television.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Gave me two halves, thanks mate, I appreciate that feedback.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I was actually talked back.
- 18:44Speaker 3: No, it was Hecks. It's a comedy series, that is.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I think it's got like five seasons. It's just finished
- 18:51Speaker 3: its final season, got about twenty six Emmys to its name.
- 18:54Speaker 4: It is not the usual show that I would come
- 18:57Speaker 4: on here and recommend to the Hodiky listeners.
- 18:59Speaker 3: But if you feel like you're listening and you've heard
- 19:01Speaker 3: me before and you think, oh, you know, I feel
- 19:03Speaker 3: like my sense of humor.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Aligns with pugsun, maybe get around it. Give it a go.
- 19:06Speaker 5: What is it.
- 19:07Speaker 3: It's basically about a aging comedian with a residency in
- 19:11Speaker 3: Las Vegas who gets assigned by her agent a young
- 19:14Speaker 3: writer who's just been canceled online. And yes, this is
- 19:18Speaker 3: on tvings It isn't it is this? Yeah, I'm pretty
- 19:20Speaker 3: sure it is two of the seasons, like two and three.
- 19:23Speaker 3: But I watched it on High U, which is like
- 19:26Speaker 3: the thing on Prime which has Below Deck and Real
- 19:28Speaker 3: Housewives on ice Man. But I was like, I want
- 19:30Speaker 3: to give this a go, and it was. It was
- 19:32Speaker 3: genuinely the funniest thing I've watched all yet.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Wow.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I loved it.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Some people won't agree, but what I like about it
- 19:39Speaker 3: is that whether you have like a more old school
- 19:41Speaker 3: sense of humor or you're very much like part of
- 19:43Speaker 3: the new school, and there's something.
- 19:45Speaker 4: For you there as well.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Yeah, Noice, I like it.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Hecks Hecks on IU, which is an extension on Prime.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Such a hard or just go.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Tvings in Yeah, it's such a hard place.
- 19:54Speaker 5: To go and get it from.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a but to be feir.
- 19:57Speaker 3: My partner's a big Real Housewives fan, so we've got
- 19:59Speaker 3: two for one, right Yeah, oh no, Real Housewives.
- 20:02Speaker 2: She does like blow Dick, No, Okay, I watched another
- 20:06Speaker 2: episode of Outrageous Fortune. Because the way my wife works
- 20:09Speaker 2: TV wise pugs and people that are regulous. As might realize,
- 20:13Speaker 2: my wife likes watching low steaks reality stuff like Grand Designs, Location, location, Location,
- 20:19Speaker 2: and usually because we are making our way through the
- 20:21Speaker 2: first season of Outrageous Fortune. I've never seen it before.
- 20:24Speaker 2: It's really really good. It's all on TV and Z plus.
- 20:26Speaker 2: We'll go an episode about Rageous Fortune in the next night.
- 20:29Speaker 2: She'll go, oh, maybe just something chill tonight aka Grand Designs,
- 20:33Speaker 2: you know, low touch.
- 20:34Speaker 5: That's right.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Last night I went to put on Grand Designs. Kevin
- 20:38Speaker 2: McLeod was literally on the screen ready to go, and
- 20:41Speaker 2: she was like, oh, watching Outrageous Fortune.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Kevin McLeod, the ball guy.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, the British guy. Wow, crush the pugs. She has
- 20:51Speaker 2: a crush on the New Zealand not every balldrip ball guy.
- 20:56Speaker 2: She doesn't just like balled guys. She she has a
- 20:59Speaker 2: crush on the New Zealand hosts of the New Zealand version.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Although to me here I have a crush on Kevin McLeod.
- 21:04Speaker 2: He's an absolutely legend. Okay, but yeah, so just it's
- 21:07Speaker 2: a testament to the quality of Outrageous Fortune. We're up
- 21:10Speaker 2: to episode nine now of the first season. The characters
- 21:13Speaker 2: are great. I love them and then I hate them,
- 21:15Speaker 2: and that I love them. Shere A West so great, incredible.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Robin Malcolm is just such a great actress, and like,
- 21:21Speaker 2: obviously allegid people know this, but I love her character.
- 21:25Speaker 2: She friggin' rules. And the best part is heaps of
- 21:27Speaker 2: the scenes. Like at one point, Pascal, who's one of
- 21:31Speaker 2: the daughters, she was sitting in a park which is
- 21:33Speaker 2: around the corner from my house and I hate.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Oh my god, that's the park. Yeah, the park, I
- 21:38Speaker 4: remember the part.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right.
- 21:39Speaker 2: And then there's a moment where she gets invited to
- 21:41Speaker 2: her boss's house for a drink and I'm like, I
- 21:42Speaker 2: don know where that house is. I know the outlook
- 21:44Speaker 2: that's on the peninsula. It stuff so much fun to
- 21:47Speaker 2: film Outyeah, it would have. And the great thing is Jace,
- 21:50Speaker 2: who's on the show, was part of filming and he
- 21:52Speaker 2: can't remember anything fantastic because I'm pretty sure he was
- 21:55Speaker 2: steemed coming up after five o'clock. More best of the
- 21:58Speaker 2: Big Show moments plus Pugs. You've got some career advice
- 22:02Speaker 2: you need man.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Is that right?
- 22:03Speaker 4: Yeah, from a great actor like yourself.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Oh, Keeezy, I'm not an actor, Pugs, I do it
- 22:07Speaker 5: on radio DJ.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Your acting as a radio DJ.
- 22:10Speaker 1: WHOA The Hdichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 22:17Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio hod Iic.
- 22:19Speaker 5: That's right.
- 22:20Speaker 2: It is the Hurdarcky Big Show for Wednesday, the twelfth
- 22:22Speaker 2: of August twenty twenty.
- 22:23Speaker 5: Sex.
- 22:24Speaker 2: You've got Keyzy, You've got Pugs and Hoidy, j and
- 22:26Speaker 2: Mogi off on holiday. The full show back Monday. The
- 22:29Speaker 2: Goat Countdown kicks off Monday morning. It is all happening
- 22:32Speaker 2: here on Hurdarky folks. And of course it doesn't matter
- 22:34Speaker 2: who was on the Big Show. It was always brought
- 22:35Speaker 2: to you by Reburger.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Hancrafted Burgers, loaded fries and Gormet eats.
- 22:39Speaker 5: That will change the game. Rebig good. Yeah, I know
- 22:46Speaker 5: you go.
- 22:46Speaker 3: No. I was gonna say you remember yesterday when I
- 22:48Speaker 3: was talking about that person that called me a sea
- 22:49Speaker 3: bomb at that party last Friday over a bag of
- 22:53Speaker 3: stolen popcorn. Yeah, onerecent So I saw her mate last
- 22:57Speaker 3: night when I was out for a beer with my
- 22:58Speaker 3: other mate, right, and she goes, hey, popcorn stealer, and
- 23:02Speaker 3: I was like, ah, yeah, as you made okay, and
- 23:04Speaker 3: she's like.
- 23:05Speaker 5: I don't know what her problem was. Yeah, great, so
- 23:07Speaker 5: she was.
- 23:08Speaker 4: She was on a real serious vibe that night.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Yea. And it doesn't it doesn't like the fact that
- 23:13Speaker 2: we're dedicating this much chat about it just.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Didn't line up.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Yeah, but it was validating. Yeah, okay, well that's good both.
- 23:18Speaker 4: So these your update on the pugs being a sea bomb.
- 23:21Speaker 2: What I was going to update the audience on is
- 23:23Speaker 2: the fact that there is a severe thunderstorm warning issued
- 23:25Speaker 2: for the far North potential flooding. Yeah, and the audience went,
- 23:29Speaker 2: know this, But Hoidy J. Today he booked up north
- 23:33Speaker 2: and he's he's literally on his way there right now
- 23:35Speaker 2: to go up north for a few days.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm house sitting for him.
- 23:38Speaker 5: You are house sitting for him, that's right.
- 23:39Speaker 2: So look, obviously we don't want anything bad to happen
- 23:42Speaker 2: up there up north. But it's just it's a wee
- 23:44Speaker 2: bit funny that the moment Haughty J finally gets a
- 23:47Speaker 2: week off and books a place up north and goes
- 23:48Speaker 2: on holiday, Boom heavy weather issued obvious classic jas. It
- 23:53Speaker 2: is classic Jase stay safe up there? Of course? Oh
- 24:00Speaker 2: is the Actic Monkeys.
- 24:01Speaker 5: I've heard of these guys, the Monkeys.
- 24:04Speaker 1: What the Hierarchy Big Show week days from four on
- 24:08Speaker 1: Radio hod Achs.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Specially Pumpkins on The Hidarchy Big Show Wednesday afternoon with
- 24:12Speaker 2: Kezy and Pugs.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Now this time last year, Mike Minogue took us first
- 24:15Speaker 3: ever trip over to Europe. We lost him for a
- 24:17Speaker 3: couple of weeks there, but one of the biggest parts
- 24:19Speaker 3: of him going overseas was seeing one of the biggest
- 24:22Speaker 3: bands in the world with one of the biggest revivals
- 24:24Speaker 3: in the world Oasis. Oh yeah, one of the biggest
- 24:27Speaker 3: gigs ever, right, like that whole tour. But not only
- 24:30Speaker 3: wasn't it an incredible gig, he witnessed an absolute shocker.
- 24:34Speaker 5: In the most previously that song.
- 24:36Speaker 7: Of course, we played Oasis and our man himself, Old
- 24:39Speaker 7: Morgie got to see them live in the flesh at
- 24:43Speaker 7: Wembley Stadium, took us through at Moggie.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Sure, dude, man, I mean where do you start?
- 24:49Speaker 2: I guess, well, can you start by saying ninety thousand?
- 24:53Speaker 6: Yes?
- 24:53Speaker 2: I think it was the largest concert on their entire tour.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Yeah, they did three there.
- 24:57Speaker 6: They did three there, so it was I was at
- 24:59Speaker 6: the last night of the Wembley run, so yeah, ninety
- 25:03Speaker 6: thousand people. I decided that I wasn't going to get
- 25:06Speaker 6: on it number one, number one because I had sign
- 25:09Speaker 6: a sideus and I had done since I got off
- 25:10Speaker 6: the long haul flight, so I was feeling pretty tip top,
- 25:14Speaker 6: but also because I thought the vibe looks like it's
- 25:16Speaker 6: so good from what I'm saying on Instagram, I'm not
- 25:18Speaker 6: sure you need to. So got there and I had
- 25:22Speaker 6: about maybe ten pints, so just cruise.
- 25:26Speaker 5: So sort of you know, a couple here and there.
- 25:29Speaker 6: There's a band called Cast that opened you heard them,
- 25:32Speaker 6: Nah garbage open Cast. Yeah, don't bother with them really,
- 25:36Speaker 6: But then Richard Ashcroft came on. We play a few
- 25:38Speaker 6: of his songs here bit a sweet Symphony from the
- 25:41Speaker 6: ver Yeah, a lucky Man, the drags don't work, all
- 25:45Speaker 6: of that great, great warm up stuff. And then Oasis
- 25:48Speaker 6: came on for I think they played for about two hours.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Wow.
- 25:51Speaker 6: And the reason why I wanted to go over there
- 25:53Speaker 6: was because I wanted to see them in front of
- 25:56Speaker 6: their people. You know, they are working class heroes over there.
- 25:59Speaker 6: They you know, the mother, she was a single mother
- 26:02Speaker 6: raised three sons from the estates over the absolute bones
- 26:07Speaker 6: and there are sort of styles. And then to go
- 26:08Speaker 6: from there to being the biggest band in the world.
- 26:10Speaker 6: Great story. And they're more popular over there than they
- 26:13Speaker 6: are anywhere else. And that was what it was like. Generally,
- 26:15Speaker 6: you go to any kind of a concert, there's always
- 26:17Speaker 6: a portion of the crowd, even if you're down here
- 26:19Speaker 6: at Vector or wherever where everyone's just sitting down or
- 26:22Speaker 6: you know, they'll just be like, you know, kind of
- 26:24Speaker 6: into this band, but not really into this band. For this,
- 26:28Speaker 6: every single person was on their feet for the entirety
- 26:31Speaker 6: of the concert, and every single person was singing every
- 26:34Speaker 6: single lyric of all of it right. And it was
- 26:37Speaker 6: ninety thousand people and it was at Wembley. It was,
- 26:41Speaker 6: without a doubt, the best concert that I've ever been to.
- 26:45Speaker 6: And it was one hundred percent worth the trip and
- 26:48Speaker 6: every single penny that I spent on it. Keeping in
- 26:51Speaker 6: mind that I had pretty high expectations of what it
- 26:54Speaker 6: was going to be, and it lived up to and
- 26:56Speaker 6: exceeded every single one of those expectations on every single level.
- 27:00Speaker 7: Holy cow, how good man, because you sent through some
- 27:03Speaker 7: of you, you know, you had a few quiets now,
- 27:06Speaker 7: just to settle the nerves. Some pretty phenomenal drinking stats.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Oh yeah from the concert. Yeah, you know, ninety thousand
- 27:15Speaker 7: people there are collipsing all the drinking records previous to
- 27:18Speaker 7: that because I'm pecking and it was unsurprising that the
- 27:21Speaker 7: Oasis fan likes a pint.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Well, yeah, that's true. But there was no one that
- 27:25Speaker 5: was maggoted right now. You could see ninety well.
- 27:28Speaker 6: Well yeah, I mean there was everybody around us was
- 27:31Speaker 6: all good, like you always see steamed people at every
- 27:33Speaker 6: single concept, but this was people did It was like
- 27:36Speaker 6: they didn't want to bug it up. There was one
- 27:38Speaker 6: guy that got dragged out who was behind us. That
- 27:41Speaker 6: took about fifteen or twenty security guards to drag him out. Wow,
- 27:44Speaker 6: because it was about halfway through and he was simply
- 27:46Speaker 6: not going to miss that concert. He wasn't trying punches,
- 27:49Speaker 6: but he was not leaving. So anytime a metal pole
- 27:52Speaker 6: came near him, he was clinging on to them with life.
- 27:56Speaker 5: It took them a long time to get him out.
- 27:58Speaker 6: One of the great travesty moments of the whole thing was,
- 28:02Speaker 6: and I carry a little bit of gilt around. This
- 28:04Speaker 6: was while we were there a guy who was probably
- 28:07Speaker 6: about forty ish or so proposed, well, while Oasis was playing,
- 28:13Speaker 6: proposed to his girlfriend right right.
- 28:16Speaker 5: In front of us.
- 28:16Speaker 6: So we're sort of standing up on a balcony sort
- 28:18Speaker 6: of thing and it was sort of down there, and
- 28:21Speaker 6: he proposed to her. She said no, She said no, no,
- 28:27Speaker 6: and then they started arguing. They were arguing then and
- 28:31Speaker 6: now they're at this Oasis CONTs are arguing for about
- 28:34Speaker 6: ten minutes. He's trying to talk her into it, she's
- 28:37Speaker 6: not having it. And I was shouting out of them,
- 28:40Speaker 6: is another time another planet Oasis is on? You're going
- 28:45Speaker 6: to ruin a bleagon. I just put it away, exists,
- 28:48Speaker 6: get on with it. But they couldn't hear me. They
- 28:50Speaker 6: couldn't hear me. So to get their attention, I put
- 28:54Speaker 6: together a few of the pints, the plastic pints that
- 28:58Speaker 6: I've been collecting at my feet empty now, yeah, and
- 29:00Speaker 6: I bounced them off the guy's head.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Right just to try and get his attention.
- 29:04Speaker 6: Yeah right, But he took that as a final humiliation
- 29:08Speaker 6: and he's stormed out of the concert.
- 29:10Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 29:11Speaker 6: And then his fried to be or not chased it
- 29:15Speaker 6: chased him out. So I don't know if they got
- 29:17Speaker 6: to see the rest.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Of the gig. What a way to ruin Just an
- 29:21Speaker 5: all time amazing gig. I know, Beggar esque huge risk.
- 29:26Speaker 5: If you think you absolutely.
- 29:27Speaker 6: Getting the years, yeah, yeah, she was more of a
- 29:29Speaker 6: definitely maybe. Anyway, if you get a change, Jase to
- 29:37Speaker 6: see Oasis at Wembley in front of ninety thousand people, use.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Where where's Wembley againners and the UK? Oh UK? Next
- 29:47Speaker 5: You're to Buckingham Palace. Okay, and UK is not part
- 29:50Speaker 5: of Europe anymore? Oasis Wembley.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Whenever you hear Hoidy j pretending to write something down,
- 29:57Speaker 2: he just writes it on the piece of paper Pugs
- 29:59Speaker 2: that you print out for us before each show the
- 30:01Speaker 2: show planner does he actually write, Yeah, he writes it
- 30:03Speaker 2: and really scrawled handwriting, and then at the end of
- 30:06Speaker 2: the show screws it up and throws it in the bin,
- 30:08Speaker 2: throws a metis, throws it at you, throws it around
- 30:11Speaker 2: the studio in general. The Big Show back in full
- 30:13Speaker 2: this coming Monday, along with the Goat Countdown which kicks
- 30:16Speaker 2: off as well. It's all happening here on Radio Hodarchy.
- 30:18Speaker 5: What tune do we got? Ah?
- 30:20Speaker 2: Is this screen day speaking of Yes, this goes out
- 30:23Speaker 2: to Jas who's in a thunder storm up north right now.
- 30:26Speaker 1: The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Pill Jam on the Hdarchy Big Shirt is Wednesday evening
- 30:33Speaker 2: with Kezy and Pugs on full Show back Monday.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Keezy, I think I need some advice from you man.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Okay.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Obviously, I've been working behind the scenes at the Big
- 30:41Speaker 3: Show for about four years now, and I'm looking to
- 30:43Speaker 3: maybe brunch out a little bit, try something new, and
- 30:46Speaker 3: so I'm looking at signing on to an ad.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Agency, an ad agency. Okay, So for the listeners, what
- 30:52Speaker 2: is an aired agency going to do?
- 30:53Speaker 3: So, as far as I'm aware, an ad agency is
- 30:55Speaker 3: somewhat agency is someone that represents you and tries to
- 30:59Speaker 3: get you gigs and stuff in that sort of world.
- 31:02Speaker 3: So this one would be along the lines of TV
- 31:05Speaker 3: commercials or maybe even dramatic acting, okay acting and stuff
- 31:08Speaker 3: like that, and so they would represent me in those
- 31:11Speaker 3: scenarios and try and.
- 31:12Speaker 4: Find me jobs.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Yeah while I still do sorry, excuse me, while I
- 31:15Speaker 3: still do my day to day here at the Hot
- 31:17Speaker 3: Achuy Picture.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Yeah right, Okay, So because you've got a look about you.
- 31:21Speaker 2: You know what I mean, You've got you've got a
- 31:24Speaker 2: look about you.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Well, yes, you've got one too whole.
- 31:30Speaker 2: No, but I'm serious, Like you've got a pretty like
- 31:32Speaker 2: you've got a unique look.
- 31:34Speaker 5: Pugs, thank you.
- 31:35Speaker 2: And in my experience, and like, you can take this
- 31:37Speaker 2: as a negative if you want to, I would encourage
- 31:39Speaker 2: you to take it as a positive in my experience,
- 31:41Speaker 2: because I've done a bit of a few auditions and stuff,
- 31:44Speaker 2: and every single time I have lost out. Well I've
- 31:47Speaker 2: never begged a single one, to be honest, but every
- 31:50Speaker 2: single time I've lost out to someone who has an
- 31:52Speaker 2: interesting look.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Right, So you think that gets you along the way
- 31:57Speaker 4: a lot.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Of the time.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I think that will make up a lot of your
- 32:00Speaker 2: shortcomings in the acting department. Is like oh if that guy,
- 32:05Speaker 2: oh that goes a little bit wooden or whatever, but
- 32:07Speaker 2: far out the mullet and the mustache, memorable.
- 32:11Speaker 4: Man, so good. I think.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just curious as to I guess how best
- 32:15Speaker 3: to conduct myself. I mean, you've you've had representation before.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you know you know how that kind of goes,
- 32:21Speaker 3: because you know you're inviting someone else to basically have
- 32:24Speaker 3: influence over potentially over your career and the moves that
- 32:27Speaker 3: you make.
- 32:28Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right.
- 32:28Speaker 2: So I would say very important if you have representation
- 32:32Speaker 2: that you know, if they are putting you forward for auditions,
- 32:35Speaker 2: you are open and respond and like you will even
- 32:38Speaker 2: say yes to some just to give it a crack,
- 32:40Speaker 2: just to show that you're keen, especially early doors. So
- 32:42Speaker 2: if they send you one and it's like, hey, Parks,
- 32:44Speaker 2: we want you to do this really punishing sounding one.
- 32:47Speaker 5: What do you think like early doors?
- 32:49Speaker 2: Just give it a go, just have a crack, because honestly,
- 32:52Speaker 2: the first and I've only done five auditions for ADS
- 32:55Speaker 2: and then I actually thought, you know what, I don't
- 32:57Speaker 2: even want to be in ads? Really good, yeah, one
- 32:59Speaker 2: hundred percent. I was like, this is not what I
- 33:00Speaker 2: want to do.
- 33:01Speaker 4: I might get there too. I'm just I'm curious.
- 33:02Speaker 2: But you'd be better than I am, I think, to
- 33:04Speaker 2: be honest, you would be appreciate that. But one thing
- 33:08Speaker 2: you're gonna have to get used to is, and I
- 33:10Speaker 2: don't think ever will is walking into that audition room
- 33:12Speaker 2: seeing six other dudes that look vaguely like you, like
- 33:15Speaker 2: you know what I mean, and then having to go
- 33:17Speaker 2: and do a make believe scene to a camera or
- 33:21Speaker 2: a person holding a camera and then then being like, Okay.
- 33:24Speaker 2: The other thing too is they make you to do
- 33:25Speaker 2: a self tape where you film yourself.
- 33:27Speaker 3: I think I'd rather do that at home. Nah, I
- 33:29Speaker 3: think I would rather do that at home. Just and
- 33:32Speaker 3: this is without doing it yet. Yeah, you know, than
- 33:34Speaker 3: be in a room with six other pug souns. But
- 33:37Speaker 3: you get separated from Yeah, tell me about it. You
- 33:39Speaker 3: get separated from the other pug Stuns, so they are
- 33:42Speaker 3: left in the pug Sun pen over there, and they
- 33:44Speaker 3: sort of shepherd you one at a time, shepherd you out. Yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 3: sort of like when the sheep are getting you know.
- 33:48Speaker 4: A little tap on your barm, that's right.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like carving, and you get separated off and
- 33:52Speaker 2: then you get you get moved into the we'll call
- 33:55Speaker 2: this other era the slaughter house. Oh, perfectly, no, but
- 33:59Speaker 2: it should be good, would be great.
- 34:01Speaker 1: The Hierarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hurdich Bush.
- 34:05Speaker 2: On The Hurdarchy Big Show, it was Wednesday Evening with
- 34:08Speaker 2: Kezy and pog Sun. Full showback Monday.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Kevin, You're Fab with Moggi and Hoody ja Away. Another
- 34:13Speaker 3: best of the Big Show moment from a couple of
- 34:15Speaker 3: years ago. You just can't keep those fellers from talking
- 34:18Speaker 3: about film and TV. That's their bread and butter, and
- 34:21Speaker 3: they were actually doving into one of their favorite childhood films.
- 34:25Speaker 7: I was talking the other day Mogi Keezy on What's
- 34:29Speaker 7: on the TV with Mikemanog how I watched one of
- 34:31Speaker 7: the old Planet of the Eight movies and how coy
- 34:35Speaker 7: it was seeing how you know, technology was back then
- 34:38Speaker 7: and the costumes and special effects, and it got me
- 34:41Speaker 7: thinking about that great show back in the day, Charlie's
- 34:44Speaker 7: Angels that you remember Charlie's.
- 34:46Speaker 5: Angels, Yeah, man, didn't. It was hot. It was really hot.
- 34:52Speaker 5: Captured the world that series.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Because that was that was like a series what in
- 34:56Speaker 2: the eighties or something, or.
- 35:00Speaker 5: I think it's a little bit of cross over.
- 35:01Speaker 2: The since remade it or even I remember, so I
- 35:04Speaker 2: think so yeah, I.
- 35:06Speaker 5: Think they've really made it a couple of times, to
- 35:07Speaker 5: be honest. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's bood good. You've seen that.
- 35:11Speaker 2: I haven't seen it. No, I've obviously heard about it.
- 35:13Speaker 2: I've heard the name, you know, good eating. Yeah, it's
- 35:15Speaker 2: good eating.
- 35:15Speaker 7: Oh yeah, it's basically about For those that haven't heard
- 35:19Speaker 7: of it, Charlie's Angels. Charlie's Angels, because you should go
- 35:23Speaker 7: and check it out. It's worth it's worth a watch.
- 35:25Speaker 7: It's basically about a really poor kid who lives with
- 35:30Speaker 7: his grandparents and parents and a very sort of slummy
- 35:34Speaker 7: little hovel, a hellhole. It's a hellhole, if I could
- 35:38Speaker 7: be so bold. They all sleep in the same bed.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Yeah, they all sleep in the same bed.
- 35:41Speaker 7: And the nice thing about it is actually the family
- 35:44Speaker 7: is very close loving.
- 35:47Speaker 5: It's just very small.
- 35:48Speaker 6: It's only got one room in it, got a bucket
- 35:49Speaker 6: and the toilet for to deficting.
- 35:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, okay.
- 35:55Speaker 7: It was the sort of set up that you couldn't
- 35:57Speaker 7: have a keyesy midnight steamer in there, you know what
- 35:59Speaker 7: I'm saying you because we're ruined it forevery.
- 36:01Speaker 5: He could but won't be happy.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, but anyway Charlie's Angels.
- 36:06Speaker 6: Yeah, and so anyway, this little fallery just sort of
- 36:08Speaker 6: wants more for his life and he's got and fair enough.
- 36:11Speaker 6: You know, there's this there's this local fella. There is
- 36:14Speaker 6: a chocolate chocolate tear, isn't it. He's chocolate tar. He's
- 36:18Speaker 6: he's got this humongous factory and essentially, as it turns out,
- 36:22Speaker 6: this fella there is looking for somebody to hand down
- 36:26Speaker 6: his chocolate factory to his old chocolate.
- 36:29Speaker 5: Empire, an empire estate.
- 36:32Speaker 6: So he's running this competition and people can win these
- 36:35Speaker 6: golden tickets. Right, you buy this chocolate bar, and anyway,
- 36:38Speaker 6: old granddad there he's given his grandson there. He finds
- 36:41Speaker 6: a little penny that he doesn't goff, you go and
- 36:43Speaker 6: you buy a chocolate bar, and blah blah blah, and
- 36:45Speaker 6: and he keeps on losing, losing, losing. Anyway, eventually he
- 36:48Speaker 6: wins and he goes off and he goes into the
- 36:49Speaker 6: chocolate factory.
- 36:50Speaker 5: It's about half a dozen winners I think, for.
- 36:51Speaker 7: Yes, and most of them are not really deserving, no,
- 36:54Speaker 7: you know what I mean, they're wretch and their parents
- 36:56Speaker 7: sort of.
- 36:59Speaker 5: It's a mean Charlie sort of story. Up to that
- 37:03Speaker 5: point was a bit like me with lotto, you know,
- 37:05Speaker 5: where he just buys something and would never win. Yes,
- 37:08Speaker 5: but then he does get.
- 37:09Speaker 7: The golden ticket, doesn't he Yeah, exactly right.
- 37:11Speaker 6: And anyway, all of the other kids that the other
- 37:14Speaker 6: winners of the golden tickets, they're keys, they're all kids.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Because he's looking for somebody to be a successor, right, yeah, right, Okay,
- 37:23Speaker 6: they all die and so through through attrition. Really, isn't
- 37:27Speaker 6: it survival of the fittest through their own that well,
- 37:31Speaker 6: it's it's I'll be honest with you. And this is
- 37:33Speaker 6: kind of the time that the TV show Charlie's Angels
- 37:35Speaker 6: has said, and the occupational safety standards were terrible, didn't exist.
- 37:41Speaker 6: So they're going through this factory and people are getting
- 37:43Speaker 6: killed left, right and center. Their drowning and an action
- 37:47Speaker 6: an action, it's a serious it's bloody terrible.
- 37:50Speaker 7: But also what was really nice about all the you know,
- 37:52Speaker 7: these kids dying and stuff, it's because of their own greed.
- 37:55Speaker 5: You a story behind each of them, yes, indeed?
- 38:00Speaker 6: Yeah Everest Everest yea yes, And so ultimately old Charlie,
- 38:06Speaker 6: you know, to make a long story short, as the
- 38:09Speaker 6: hero of the day, wow, and ends up winning, doesn't
- 38:12Speaker 6: he He becomes a successor, yes, and then for he's
- 38:17Speaker 6: the king, he's the champ.
- 38:18Speaker 5: Right because basically he's a good bastard. He's a backbone.
- 38:22Speaker 5: That's the thing.
- 38:23Speaker 6: Like this was before backbones, but Charlie was probably an
- 38:26Speaker 6: og backbone yet right.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Yes, why is it called Charlie's Angels. Though all those
- 38:31Speaker 2: other kids died, so they went up to heaven? Yeah yeah,
- 38:35Speaker 2: or hell right, some of them would have gone to hell. Actually,
- 38:39Speaker 2: I got nice kids, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 38:42Speaker 2: it's called Charlie Charlie's Angels.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Oh, I have to look it up?
- 38:45Speaker 2: Ye do do?
- 38:45Speaker 7: Man?
- 38:46Speaker 5: I think your wife would love it. That's a good reminder.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Actually, pugs some when was that break from two years ago?
- 38:52Speaker 3: Ran about this time of year, August twenty twenty four.
- 38:55Speaker 2: And that's the thing is you say stuff like, oh,
- 38:57Speaker 2: check it out, and then two years that I still
- 38:58Speaker 2: haven't watched that film, which sounds like a great films.
- 39:00Speaker 3: You still haven't seen Charlie's Angels. Nah, serious, man, I
- 39:03Speaker 3: must check it out.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Have you seen it?
- 39:04Speaker 2: New Zealand three four eight three flickers of texts give
- 39:07Speaker 2: us a review? Should I waste my time on Charlie's Angels?
- 39:11Speaker 2: Weird plot? Not what I was expecting. Guns n' Roses Now.
- 39:17Speaker 1: The hold Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodachy.
- 39:23Speaker 5: That's right, it is the Big Show for August twelve.
- 39:25Speaker 5: It is a win.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Steve You've got Kezy and Pugs, Houghty J and MOGGI
- 39:28Speaker 2: are on holiday back Monday, and the Goat.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Starts Monday as well.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Regardless, the Big Show will forever be brought to you
- 39:35Speaker 2: by Reburger.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Crave with the street food freshly made with read, big.
- 39:40Speaker 5: Yish, crumbly obtious. Yeah.
- 39:43Speaker 2: At this point in the show, Pugs, we always like
- 39:45Speaker 2: to delve into what each member of the Big Show
- 39:47Speaker 2: is having for tea tonight.
- 39:49Speaker 5: I will start last night.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I had a slow cooker pork shoulder Dan's right, which
- 39:54Speaker 2: I made, and then we slow cooked throughout the day
- 39:56Speaker 2: and then we pulled apart and made tacos last night.
- 40:00Speaker 2: There was so much pork that and I love it.
- 40:01Speaker 2: When this happened, I sent to my wife, Hey, why
- 40:03Speaker 2: don't we do it again tomorrow? So picked up the
- 40:06Speaker 2: whole pot with lid from the slow cooker into the
- 40:08Speaker 2: fridge overnight.
- 40:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Back into the slow cooker today on low just as
- 40:12Speaker 2: I left for work to re Yeah. Because have you
- 40:16Speaker 2: ever looked at a slow cooker after it's gone cold?
- 40:19Speaker 2: You lift the stuff in there?
- 40:20Speaker 5: No, you don't.
- 40:22Speaker 2: So I'm hoping by the time I get home it
- 40:23Speaker 2: doesn't look like a congealed, disgusting miss and it actually
- 40:26Speaker 2: is delicious again fantastic.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I love a double whammy meal.
- 40:30Speaker 5: Yeah, what do you have?
- 40:31Speaker 4: I am going out fatigue again?
- 40:33Speaker 3: Yes, because I'm house sitting for Haughty Jake and round
- 40:37Speaker 3: the corner from him, there's a mushroom festival happening just
- 40:41Speaker 3: sort of down the road there, So a bunch of
- 40:43Speaker 3: restaurants along one road are doing mushroom dishes in some
- 40:47Speaker 3: reaction of the mushroom festival. My partner's vegetarian. I love mushrooms.
- 40:51Speaker 3: I'm a huge fan. So we're going to go to
- 40:53Speaker 3: a particular spot that I haven't been to before and
- 40:55Speaker 3: try what they're offering up for the mushroom festival before
- 40:58Speaker 3: we go to our gig.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Are you gonna do any mushroom huh?
- 41:01Speaker 5: What? Uh?
- 41:04Speaker 2: How long are you house sitting for till Saturday?
- 41:06Speaker 5: Are you gonna go to Houghty Jay's Hot pot while
- 41:08Speaker 5: living at Houghty Jay's house.
- 41:09Speaker 3: I think I will be because my partner's away Friday Saturday,
- 41:12Speaker 3: so I'm going to be a free man.
- 41:13Speaker 4: I'm going to walk around with my arms behind my back.
- 41:15Speaker 5: You know what you should do?
- 41:16Speaker 2: Go to Houghty Jay's Hot Pot, then go to Houghty
- 41:18Speaker 2: J's Frozen Yoga for dessert, and then watch Samsung TV
- 41:21Speaker 2: Fantastic Zoo. This is a tune by the way, Audio
- 41:24Speaker 2: Slave CoA cheese or isn't coach eyes?
- 41:27Speaker 5: Who cares?
- 41:28Speaker 1: You're on HADARKI The Hodiarchy Big Show with Jon, Mike
- 41:31Speaker 1: and Kezy. Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodachy.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Dave Grohl and the Fillies.
- 41:36Speaker 2: It is the Hudaky Big Show Wednesday Evening with Keezy
- 41:38Speaker 2: and Pugs Head at Pugs. What's on the news with
- 41:45Speaker 2: me Chazy? Interesting stuff happening in China. There was a
- 41:52Speaker 2: one child policy for a long time. They're Pugs yes
- 41:55Speaker 2: as a result, which meant basically they were encouraging families
- 41:57Speaker 2: to only have one child. However, obviously, the male usually
- 42:01Speaker 2: traditionally carries forward the family name, so that meant that
- 42:05Speaker 2: there was a real influx of people keeping male children
- 42:09Speaker 2: and unfortunately getting rid of female children, which now means
- 42:12Speaker 2: there are thirty million more males in China than there
- 42:15Speaker 2: are females.
- 42:17Speaker 4: That is one of the great backfires of all time.
- 42:20Speaker 2: It is right, It is a shocker, and what that
- 42:22Speaker 2: means is they're thirty million. That's what how many millionaire
- 42:25Speaker 2: in New Zealand, you know what I mean, that's five
- 42:27Speaker 2: times the amount of people in New Zealand. That is
- 42:31Speaker 2: how many more males there are than females in China.
- 42:33Speaker 2: As a result, there are a lot of lonely middle
- 42:36Speaker 2: aged men who have not been able to find a partner.
- 42:39Speaker 2: So there there has been a new scam that pops
- 42:42Speaker 2: up in magazines and newspapers.
- 42:45Speaker 4: And basically, girl Man, what actually.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Happens is a postal pop up on a newspaper and
- 42:51Speaker 2: magazine and say, hey, there are women from this particular
- 42:54Speaker 2: province are guay Yang, which is a sort of poorer province,
- 42:58Speaker 2: and the family is traditionally a poor over there. If
- 43:01Speaker 2: you will allow them to move to your house, give
- 43:04Speaker 2: them a home and stuff, then there are these women
- 43:07Speaker 2: who are ready to you know, be part of a family.
- 43:10Speaker 2: And the trade offers they get to leave their poor
- 43:12Speaker 2: village on the site far flung side of the country,
- 43:14Speaker 2: move to somewhere a bit more you know, modern, and
- 43:18Speaker 2: as a result, you know, you'll have a happy family.
- 43:21Speaker 2: And there's so many lonely people out there that the
- 43:23Speaker 2: pugs you're looking at me weird. Trust me, there's nothing
- 43:25Speaker 2: weird going.
- 43:26Speaker 5: Just let me finish. Okay, I haven't seen anything.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Man. It's a scam though, right because what happens, as
- 43:30Speaker 2: the agency says, like the way it works is, you
- 43:32Speaker 2: guys have to get married, so we'll tear you up.
- 43:34Speaker 2: You can meet online a couple of times and then
- 43:36Speaker 2: you have to and it's a big red flag give
- 43:40Speaker 2: all your life savings and then rarely we marry you.
- 43:43Speaker 2: And then the life savings is put together like a
- 43:45Speaker 2: family trust.
- 43:46Speaker 5: Sort of thing.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Oh my god, yeah, one hundred percent. But these guys
- 43:49Speaker 2: are so lonely and desperate it's quite sad. And so
- 43:51Speaker 2: this is there's an example here reading on the BBC
- 43:54Speaker 2: News site of a guy called Wang Xuang who was
- 43:57Speaker 2: thirty seven, did this exact thing, meet the lady ts online,
- 44:01Speaker 2: gave the agency his life savings, immediately lost all of it.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Yeah, turns out the lady he met was a former
- 44:08Speaker 2: karaoke hostess who's been married three times, has three children
- 44:11Speaker 2: and I'm quoting here a serious sexually transmitted disease.
- 44:14Speaker 5: And deeply in debt, and she lied about her age.
- 44:17Speaker 2: He's now married to her, and the agency has taken
- 44:20Speaker 2: all of the funds, but.
- 44:22Speaker 4: At least you wouldn't be lonely, right, Oh, or is
- 44:25Speaker 4: she even gonna go over there?
- 44:26Speaker 5: Don't know. I don't know.
- 44:28Speaker 2: I haven't read far enough to know whether she actually
- 44:30Speaker 2: But as soon as you find out all that stuff,
- 44:31Speaker 2: you're just like, oh what Yeah, So all I'm saying
- 44:33Speaker 2: post just be careful, al right, Sorry me, I'm just saying.
- 44:38Speaker 5: I'm just saying, be careful.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Me, be careful about what's happening in China.
- 44:42Speaker 5: Just be careful, POGs, is all I'm saying.
- 44:44Speaker 4: All right, Cheers man.
- 44:45Speaker 1: The Hurdichy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 44:49Speaker 1: in week days and four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Harvey Dangel on The Hidaky Big Show Wednesday evening with
- 44:53Speaker 2: Keezy and pugsn Full show back Monday. Right now, though
- 44:56Speaker 2: it's signed four, we're up to five. The Brewery of the.
- 45:06Speaker 5: That's right.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Every single day and the lead up to Beer Varner
- 45:08Speaker 2: down in Wellington, we feature a different brewery, all of
- 45:12Speaker 2: whom will be in attendance. Beer Varner twenty twenty six.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Get your tickets, Beer Vanner dot cot in Z will
- 45:16Speaker 2: see you down there. Today's brewery of the day, Yellow
- 45:19Speaker 2: Monkey Brewing. That's a curious name straight out of Japan.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Oh how good, very cool. A Japanese brewery can't have
- 45:26Speaker 2: to be a ven Yeah yeah, I like. I mean,
- 45:28Speaker 2: I've not had a lot of experience outside of your Sapporos,
- 45:31Speaker 2: your you know, your Asahi's and the one other that
- 45:34Speaker 2: I've had before as well.
- 45:36Speaker 5: So craft Japanese beer.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Very interested to get around there. One hundred percent are
- 45:40Speaker 2: they are. Yellow Monkey Brewing are bringing the unique take
- 45:42Speaker 2: on craft beer to beer Vanna this year. There's a
- 45:44Speaker 2: cool key connection as well. Kid brewer kN Go Saito
- 45:47Speaker 2: spent time as an assistant brewer at Wellington's Fork and Brewer,
- 45:51Speaker 2: so he's got fork and brewer clever and so he's
- 45:54Speaker 2: got a bit of altiat or brewing history behind him.
- 45:56Speaker 2: So he's come here, learned how we do it, and then
- 45:58Speaker 2: gone back to Japan started his own Yellow Man.
- 46:00Speaker 5: Which is pretty cool.
- 46:01Speaker 2: You can expect creative Japanese craft beers, a plenty of personality,
- 46:04Speaker 2: fresh ideas, and some seriously tasty drops. A reminder Beervana
- 46:08Speaker 2: next Friday and Sat Day down and well into Beervanna
- 46:10Speaker 2: dot Coto indead get your tickets there I will be.
- 46:12Speaker 4: Looking out for that when we're Beavanna on the Friday.
- 46:15Speaker 2: There differently, differently if you were going to start your
- 46:17Speaker 2: own craft beer pay or actually if we were starting
- 46:20Speaker 2: a brewery together, yep, what would you want to what
- 46:23Speaker 2: would be specializing in?
- 46:25Speaker 3: Well, I think going off what I look for in
- 46:27Speaker 3: a brewery when I go there for the experience. Do
- 46:30Speaker 3: you mean like more beer related stuff or just as
- 46:31Speaker 3: like just the whole thing as a.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Venue, because you've got the convenues part of it, right, Yeah,
- 46:35Speaker 2: So if it's okay, I'd like the venue to have
- 46:38Speaker 2: wood fire pizza.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:40Speaker 4: So with the wood fire pizza, man, as long as
- 46:41Speaker 4: I can get some fries in there, brother.
- 46:43Speaker 2: One hundred percent good fries, and then I wouldn't mind
- 46:46Speaker 2: a beer or a dish or something named after me.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Okay, see, now, come on, the fames get into your head, man. No, no,
- 46:53Speaker 3: that's not it's getting to you. But it's like, you know,
- 46:55Speaker 3: haven't even got what you've got a business plan?
- 46:57Speaker 2: Come on, man, But you know how you go to
- 46:59Speaker 2: some places and you get the big breakfast or something
- 47:01Speaker 2: it'll be named after someone.
- 47:03Speaker 5: Chezy Pizza, the Big Keezy Breakfast.
- 47:05Speaker 4: The Big keezy pepperoni meat petty.
- 47:08Speaker 5: One hundred percent.
- 47:09Speaker 2: There you go, and it's a pizza with just full
- 47:12Speaker 2: meat patties.
- 47:13Speaker 3: On two massive salamis on it. I'd also love somewhere
- 47:16Speaker 3: that would host live music. I'd love options for a
- 47:20Speaker 3: dark beer, a low card beer, and a just one
- 47:24Speaker 3: options of any different Yeah, yeah, like a good range.
- 47:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:28Speaker 3: You know some places you can't get some of those,
- 47:30Speaker 3: you know what I mean, So I'd like to make
- 47:31Speaker 3: sure we cover all of those. I like the spots
- 47:34Speaker 3: they have the brewing equipment in the background bats yeah, yeah,
- 47:37Speaker 3: but it can't be too cold because it's industrial a
- 47:39Speaker 3: lot of the time.
- 47:40Speaker 4: That makes them cold there.
- 47:41Speaker 2: But you could have like a nice separation of like
- 47:43Speaker 2: a cold ear you can see through the glass and
- 47:45Speaker 2: then insides nice and warm. An open fire. You got
- 47:47Speaker 2: the wood fire pizza. There they're making the cheezy pizzas Pugs.
- 47:51Speaker 2: What dish do you want named after you? The fries
- 47:53Speaker 2: the pugsun fries.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Yeah, man, it's a genius.
- 47:57Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just a bowl of fries fries ala Pugs.
- 48:01Speaker 2: But of course, Beavanna dot co dot in zis, get
- 48:04Speaker 2: your tickets and we will see you down there. Pugs,
- 48:06Speaker 2: you know what? Do you know what song we're going into?
- 48:09Speaker 5: Oh? Is this Metallica? Yeah, the Brewery of the Day.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Song, the Wold Aching Big Show with Jas, Mike and Kezy.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 48:27Speaker 2: That is the big show down a dustin for Wednesday,
- 48:29Speaker 2: the twelfth of August twenty twenty six, just Keezy and Pugs.
- 48:31Speaker 2: But Mike and Jas will be back on Monday and
- 48:33Speaker 2: the Goat will be getting underway, so it will be
- 48:35Speaker 2: a good time to lock back in as a show. Pugs,
- 48:39Speaker 2: what are you doing tonight?
- 48:40Speaker 3: No?
- 48:40Speaker 4: I want them locked in now man while they're on holiday.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent.
- 48:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:44Speaker 4: What am I doing tonight?
- 48:46Speaker 3: As I said earlier, I'm going out for dinner and
- 48:48Speaker 3: then I'm going to a gig at the town Hall.
- 48:51Speaker 5: What is the gig?
- 48:53Speaker 4: It's a singer from over in the US.
- 48:54Speaker 3: She's got like her name's like Leve or Laofi or
- 48:57Speaker 3: something like that, right, and she has a voice like
- 49:00Speaker 3: those old Transatlantic nineteen twenties type singers.
- 49:04Speaker 5: Right, like a lounge jerzy singer.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Yeah, a little bit like that. Yeah, oh cool, yeah, Yeah,
- 49:07Speaker 4: it's a great vite. Yeah. Nice It sounds great place
- 49:09Speaker 4: to have it at the town Hall.
- 49:11Speaker 2: How many gigs would you go to it a month?
- 49:13Speaker 5: Four?
- 49:15Speaker 4: Two to four?
- 49:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah nice, So that's pretty good. I'll probably go
- 49:18Speaker 2: to one gig every six months maybe.
- 49:20Speaker 3: But it depends on what you define as a gig,
- 49:22Speaker 3: Like a gig is anything live or it could even
- 49:24Speaker 3: be a gig, could be a DJ I want to
- 49:26Speaker 3: go see that's just playing at a bar.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Yeah, still a gig, right, Okay. The only gig I've
- 49:30Speaker 2: been to is Englebert Humperdink and you were there.
- 49:33Speaker 4: And what a gig man. But you're covered for gigs
- 49:35Speaker 4: for the year. Brother, that's right, I am.
- 49:37Speaker 5: What are you up to tonight?
- 49:38Speaker 2: My wife and I are going to have leftover pulled
- 49:40Speaker 2: pork tacos. We'll probably then watch Outrageous Fortune. She'll go
- 49:44Speaker 2: to beer and no. I want to go on line
- 49:45Speaker 2: with my mates bang and play big walk. Highly recommend
- 49:48Speaker 2: if you've got mates and you want to go online
- 49:50Speaker 2: have it a fun with them. So stupid, but there's
- 49:52Speaker 2: no jeopardy. It's not like you're shooting guns and call
- 49:55Speaker 2: a duty or anything like that. It's so chill.
- 49:56Speaker 5: I love it.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll be back again. Tomorrow with more beer of
- 50:00Speaker 2: the Big Show. We've also got some tickets to give
