- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's. Adam here now.
- 0:42This is quite a specialist hypnosis session because it was
- 0:47created for a client that was about to have a mastectomy.
- 0:53So surgery for the removal of breasts because they had.
- 0:58A. Tumor.
- 0:59Breast cancer and they were going to go through a removal of
- 1:03breast, the mastectomy and then plastic surgery to.
- 1:07Have the. New breasts to maintain and.
- 1:11Enhance the. The shape.
- 1:13Obviously they were apprehensive about the surgery, so this
- 1:17hypnosis session was designed to do 2 key things.
- 1:21One help them feel relaxed. And calm and.
- 1:27Empowered by what was happening rather than daunted.
- 1:30And then secondly, to give it meanings of fast healing and
- 1:35positivity that everything was going to go well.
- 1:39Now this was for a very specific case.
- 1:44It's unlikely if you're listening to this that you're
- 1:47just about to go through this very specific surgery in the
- 1:50same way that the client was, but there are lots and lots of
- 1:56empowering suggestions throughout this.
- 1:59So if you have any form of surgery on the horizon, you
- 2:02might find this useful. Or if you have had surgery and
- 2:06you want to hear hear healing messages, you also might find
- 2:11this session quite useful now because it was so bespoke.
- 2:15Ignore any suggestion that is not relevant.
- 2:17Hone into the ones that are and if you like the idea of working
- 2:22with me directly to have a bespoke.
- 2:24Session I would. Encourage you to look for the
- 2:26links in the description and there you'll find out how to
- 2:29explore working with me one to one, rather than listening to
- 2:33the recordings that were made for other people.
- 2:35So if that's of interest, check that out.
- 2:38For now though, I want you to find a quiet, relaxed place.
- 2:41The kind of place where you're not going to be distracted or
- 2:43disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 3:12Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:21resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:27And as you exhale, give permission to release any
- 3:38tension, any anxieties, any worries.
- 3:46Just allow the possibility that anything that's getting in the
- 3:55way of relaxation or optimism isn't necessary here.
- 4:05Breathing in resource for relaxation and exhaling tension
- 4:16and just scan your body from the top of your head down to the
- 4:21tips of your toes like a scan. Looking for any clues if muscles
- 4:30or tendons tensing when they don't need to.
- 4:34Tightness in the jaw, around the neck or the shoulders.
- 4:41Sometimes tension is hiding in the tiny muscles of the forehead
- 4:46or even in a finger or a toe. So as you breathe in that
- 4:53resourceful feeling of relaxation, let go of any ideas
- 5:02of holding on to tension. Start to imagine what your body
- 5:07would feel like if your limbs were like the limbs of a puppet
- 5:14with no strings, just loose and floppy, and relax.
- 5:20That's it. And I wonder if you can notice
- 5:26that the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel.
- 5:34And the more relaxed you feel the deeper you breathe.
- 5:42Each breath takes you deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 5:54In fact, you might allow yourself to elongate the breath
- 6:00even more, breathing in slow and long.
- 6:09And as you exhale, just allow that exhale to keep on breathing
- 6:16out. And as your breaths get longer,
- 6:26you are activating the part of your nervous system that can
- 6:31rest, digest and relax. And maybe your heart rate slows
- 6:39down slightly, your muscles let go of that tension.
- 6:46Maybe certain nerves activate and others become less
- 6:53sensitive. I want you to think of a switch
- 7:01or a dial inside. It starts to reduce those
- 7:06hormones like cortisol or adrenaline, increase those
- 7:13neurotransmitters that know how to relax.
- 7:21Just allow your body to move gently toward a state where
- 7:25healing mechanisms work optimally.
- 7:33That's it. You already understand
- 7:37Physiology, and you already know how expectation and relaxation
- 7:45influence the chemistry of the body.
- 7:50This is not about wishful thinking or believing something
- 7:54untrue. This is about allowing the body
- 8:01to enter the most supportive state possible, so as your
- 8:10breathing settles into a slow and steady rhythm, you can allow
- 8:17your mind to drift to a memory that represents love, safety and
- 8:26connection. I want you to imagine looking at
- 8:32photos of your wedding day, see who was there.
- 8:41Maybe there was a celebration, friends and family all gathered
- 8:47together and you know the year, you know the date.
- 8:56And I want you to find those photos of you smiling, not just
- 9:02looking happy, but being happy. And I want you to imagine
- 9:09bringing those photos to life, hearing the music, that ambient
- 9:16sound of conversation and laughter.
- 9:21And then I want you to imagine stepping into the photo, not as
- 9:29you were, but as you are now. I want you to imagine going
- 9:39back, back to that moment. Notice the people who matter
- 9:46most. And I want you to imagine that
- 9:50you even meet yourself back then.
- 9:56Maybe you see your mother, your grandmother, your brother, your
- 10:00family friend, the people who love you.
- 10:06They want the best for you. This isn't just a memory, it's a
- 10:14memory fusing. With your imagination.
- 10:18And I want you to invite your children and their current ages
- 10:22back to that day, that moment. And I want you to dial up the
- 10:28feeling of love, connection, harmony.
- 10:37Everyone who means the most to you is together in one place,
- 10:43past and present. And maybe you even choose to
- 10:48bring in people that aren't even born yet.
- 10:57Bring them all there and you can see their faces, feel the warmth
- 11:02of the room. And then just imagine having
- 11:09conversations. I want you to imagine that you
- 11:16congratulate that younger version of you on your marriage,
- 11:19but they're wishing you well for your operation, for your
- 11:27surgery. And I want you to imagine
- 11:34hearing the words coming from the mouths of the faces of the
- 11:40people that you love and love you.
- 11:42They're sending you encouragement, confidence, calm.
- 11:52Certainty hear. Them saying the surgery will go
- 12:03well, you'll heal quickly, hear the words that you will have a
- 12:12long, healthy, happy life ahead. There's no sadness, no
- 12:22trepidation, just positivity, love, smiles, confidence,
- 12:31reassurance. And I want you to connect with
- 12:35those feelings of support and love.
- 12:41I want you to borrow their confidence and feel it in you
- 12:45and just allow your body to absorb those messages.
- 12:53And I want. You to imagine even the people
- 12:58that aren't alive in the present but were alive then feel their
- 13:05presence, their positivity, almost like the essence of them
- 13:14is still within you, even though physically they can't.
- 13:21Be and. Then I want you to imagine
- 13:30finding a quiet room connected to where you were back then in
- 13:36that memory, with a large screen, and imagine this screen
- 13:45allows you to observe the future as you want it to be.
- 13:55I want you to see yourself arriving at the hospital, see
- 14:01yourself meeting the team, the two different surgeons, see the
- 14:09professionalism, the focus. The skill I.
- 14:15Want you to see see that the operating theatre is not a place
- 14:22of danger. It's a clean, precision
- 14:27environment. A coordinated group of
- 14:32specialists working together, plastic surgeon, the surgeon
- 14:42doing the operation, the anaesthetists.
- 14:47And they can all have to be in this room.
- 14:49They can be wherever you want them to be, but each one highly
- 14:53trained and each one focused on the same outcome.
- 15:03A good result. And that might mean clear
- 15:09margins, a small tumor removed. Completely no lymph.
- 15:21Node involvement and careful reconstruction.
- 15:30But let's rewind and just imagine observing things going
- 15:39as you want it to. Go just.
- 15:44Imagine there you are, maybe there's close family and then
- 15:53maybe you observe yourself talking to thee anaesthetists
- 16:01and then explaining the process. And then imagine.
- 16:07Observe, not experience. See yourself like you're someone
- 16:13else and see the anaesthetic is administered.
- 16:18Observe that version of you where your body relaxes, you're
- 16:23breathing steady, like a deep, deep sleep.
- 16:35And while you're resting deeply, I want you to see that your body
- 16:40cooperates perfectly with the procedure.
- 16:47See the surgical team working with precision.
- 16:51Tumor removed. Fully clear.
- 16:55Margins contained complete lymph nodes unaffected healthy tissue.
- 17:04Preserved. I want.
- 17:10You to imagine that things are working as the surgeons
- 17:16intended. Maybe you observe the nerve
- 17:22grafting. I want you to see that it wasn't
- 17:32just possible for the mastectomy, was also possible
- 17:40for the reconstruction. C Not just implants, but those
- 17:46implants, the preferred ones positioned with care and you can
- 17:55speed up time. Imagine that the way things have
- 17:57happened makes it easy for blood vessels to reconnect smoothly,
- 18:05the nerves to reconnect with sensations.
- 18:14See. Balance, stability, just.
- 18:20Imagine that you're observing that version of yourself where
- 18:23your immune system and all other systems are supporting this
- 18:30process or bleeding, efficient clotting, calm inflammation like
- 18:41there is an intelligence in your cells that knows what to do
- 18:47repairing, restoring, rebuilding.
- 18:57And then imagine seeing at four or five hours of surgery going
- 19:05well, but then you're taken to a different room, a recovery.
- 19:08Room but this. Is where you'll change
- 19:13perspective. I want you to imagine now that
- 19:18the surgery has finished. Imagine taking a first person
- 19:24perspective after the surgery but before you awaken from the
- 19:30anaesthetic. Connect with that deep feeling
- 19:34of relaxation and just imagine feeling that moments before you
- 19:45awaken, your unconscious knows that the procedure has gone
- 19:51well, the gym has been removed, the reconstruction completed,
- 20:00and your body begins the gentle process of waking.
- 20:07And your awareness returns slowly, and you might feel woozy
- 20:16or disorientated. So before any tangible, clear
- 20:21thoughts arise, I want you to connect to feelings of gratitude
- 20:30for your family, your husband. Imagine his face, your mother,
- 20:42your children, and you can feel the love you have for them and
- 20:50the love they have for you. Feel that support, that care,
- 20:58that connection. And then maybe you connect to
- 21:04that feeling of gratitude for the medical team and all
- 21:09involved who cared for you. You appreciate the skill, the
- 21:16dedication, the quality of care, the expertise that supported
- 21:23your healing. I can imagine in that
- 21:31disorientated aftermath of the anaesthetic, just imagine, just
- 21:39temporarily, what it would feel like if.
- 21:45People. From the past were in the room
- 21:48with you. You know it can't happen in
- 21:52reality, but just imagine the essence of people who shaped.
- 22:00Your life, people. From your past, people that if
- 22:12they weren't alive, would want to know that you're.
- 22:15OK. And just.
- 22:21Connect with that feeling of love you still carry for them,
- 22:26and that love becomes strength. And connect with something
- 22:33wonderful, something powerful. Love changes biochemistry, love
- 22:43reduces stress, love supports healing.
- 22:51And just allow that feeling of love to flow through you.
- 23:02And then imagine you're no longer in your body and just see
- 23:05yourself back on that screen in the hours and then the days
- 23:10following surgery and see that your body is cooperating.
- 23:19Remember how you prepared in many different ways,
- 23:28nutritionally, even body temperature, blood flow, oxygen,
- 23:39and almost imagine you can see warmth flowing gently through
- 23:43the tissues, blood supply nourishing the area.
- 23:51Your imagination can distort time, see cells repairing, see
- 23:58the inflammation remaining calm and controlled.
- 24:03And just imagine that any nutrition you've taken in,
- 24:08proteins, vitamins, minerals, hydration, all used
- 24:13intelligently by the body to support healing.
- 24:20Imagine seeing scar tissue forming.
- 24:23Neatly organize, collagen, smooth, repair, and you rest
- 24:31comfortably. Just imagine, even when you
- 24:37sleep, your body doesn't need to move that much.
- 24:43Your body seems to know to avoid movement, to remain still when
- 24:48necessary, and yet still sleeping deeply.
- 24:56The kind of sleep that is regenerative, restorative
- 25:00healing. Sleep and observe how each day
- 25:05brings small improvements, and then observe over the coming
- 25:11weeks how that healing progresses steadily, that you're
- 25:18giving your body the time it needs.
- 25:23That movement returns gradually, especially around the shoulders.
- 25:31And maybe the physical therapy helps restore strength and
- 25:35mobility. And before long, your shoulders
- 25:39can open, your arms can regain that mobility, and it won't be
- 25:46long until you're stretching again in the mornings.
- 25:51Your body is adapting intelligently.
- 25:56Your scars are healing and healing some more, and become
- 26:03less visible, becoming smooth, well integrated.
- 26:11I want you to see someone responding well to the surgery
- 26:21with a body that adapts, protects, and heals.
- 26:30And then let's move forward even further in time.
- 26:35Imagine seeing yourself two months after the surgery,
- 26:41looking stronger and doing things that demonstrate that
- 26:46strength and healing movement has returned.
- 26:53Your body has adjusted. Imagine seeing yourself looking
- 26:58at yourself in a full length mirror, happy with the result
- 27:05and seeing the skill of the reconstruction.
- 27:12You can see how it's balanced, aesthetically pleasing and
- 27:20healing continues to improve. And you recognize something in
- 27:27that future version of you. Two months after the surgery,
- 27:34you are still you. Your intelligence, your
- 27:38strength, your femininity, your identity has never been defined
- 27:44by tissue. Who you really are is not what
- 27:55you've gone through. It's who you are at your core.
- 28:00And I want you to connect with an idea that this surgery helped
- 28:12protect and enhance your future. So instead of going two months
- 28:20into the future, I want you to go a decade or two decades.
- 28:27Or even 3. Decades into the future and see
- 28:32that future version of you living your life healthy,
- 28:38active, connected with the people you love.
- 28:45And maybe imagine that future version of you 30 years from
- 28:49now, thinking back to that moment of surgery.
- 28:56Not as a inconvenience, A tragedy or frustration, or
- 29:01anything other than a turning point that in some way was
- 29:11necessary for you to have that healthy, happy future of
- 29:19vitality and connection. And you think back of how you
- 29:24handled it with courage, intelligence, a deep respect for
- 29:30your human body, with support and help.
- 29:35And you're grateful that your body did what it was designed to
- 29:39do, to adapt, to recover, and to.
- 29:47Heal as you. Drift, find yourself back in
- 29:59that room and then leave back to that celebration but feeling
- 30:11what you would feel like way after the surgery when the
- 30:16healing has taken place satisfactorily and how happy
- 30:23everyone is to see that you're doing well.
- 30:29Imagine giving hugs and saying you'd goodbyes before jumping
- 30:36back through that wedding photo. Can I imagine lying on a bed,
- 30:43head on a pillow, knowing that your unconscious mind now has a
- 30:49choice? Because very soon I will count
- 30:54from 1:00 to 10:00 and if your body is ready to awaken when I
- 31:00get to 10, my eyes will open and you will feel alert and awake.
- 31:09But if you're listening to this and your body wants to sleep,
- 31:17the me counting from 1:00 to 10:00 will just be stepping
- 31:22stones into deep healing, regenerative, restorative sleep,
- 31:30enabling you to rejuvenate while you sleep.
- 31:35Then you don't have to consciously decide, just allow
- 31:37your unconscious to do that for you as I now count from 1:00 to
- 31:4410:00, 123, 456, 789 and 10. Thank you so much for joining me
