- JonBE aka DJ Chill: Shout out to my brother. Shout out to my guy, the co-host of Is the Hyper Real Podcast, 623 a.m. He'll be back soon. He gotta handle some business. So ⁓ that was 623 a.m. Hey, you you gotta go check him out, man. The guy's got some heat and he's coming out with more. So ⁓ let that be that. All right, let's get into it. Welcome to this big shout out to 623 a.m. My man, man, Ray Wright. Check him out on across all platforms. KW: Big South Correct. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Welcome to the Hyper Real Podcast. We're going live right now. I want everybody to turn up, tune in, and show out. I'm your boy, John B, aka DJ Chill. I got my main man Cal from Warner Brothers podcast. What up, Cal? Man, everything. It's it's it's a crazy ⁓ couple couple of days going on in in in the world that we live in, you know, as far as sports and entertainment. So I'm excited to get into it and talk about it. How about you? KW: Mm-hmm. Most definitely man. Can't wait. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I think it's gonna be a little bit of a ⁓ a stretch on things because it's it's some things I wanna dive a little deeper into that I see going on in the world. So I'm excited to see how this is all gonna turn out. So without further ado, you know what I'm saying, ⁓ you ready to get this poppin'? KW: Okay. Let's do it. Let's do it. JonBE aka DJ Chill: All right now. Little bit of breaking news going on. We got my main man LaMelo Ball headed to the Minnesota Timberwolves. That's a major move. Power play. How you feeling about LaMelo Ball going to the Minnesota Timberwolves? And do you think it'll work? KW: Yeah. I feel a few ways about it. ⁓ listen, going into the last couple seasons, the Minnesota Timberwolves, their weak spot was point guard. And because of that, they'd they'd gathered some combo guards like ⁓ like Dante Di Vincenzo, but he played more of the two. But their big move last year was to go get Ayu Desumu, who's a combo guard, but you know, can play the point. So I was I was kinda surprised by this move. And it it it makes sense because hey, it is it was still kind of their weakness, right? Let's go get a point guard. We get a true point guard Lamello ball. But but they traded Nas Reed. Which wouldn't which wouldn't be as important if they didn't just trade Julius Randle the other night. ⁓ that's been the secret. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Think so. But True. They had to make room. KW: Exactly. Exactly. And that that's been the secret sauce of this team was their big man depth. ⁓ that's pretty much the only reason they could do the Carl Anthony Towns trade. was because they had Nas Reed and they were getting Julius Randle back, so they kept their size. They got a little smaller, but by and large they kept their size and versatility. Now you just traded the two guys that made that Carl Anthony Towns trade make sense. Now you have no big men outside of Rudy Gobert. You have nobody to back them up. And I do mean nobody. You have wings. You have wings, you have guards and you have one big man. And I don't know if anybody watched the playoffs, but JonBE aka DJ Chill: Nobody KW: Yeah, Victor Wembenyama out there. You got Nikola Jokic out there, and that's the whole reason why they beat Nikola Jokic, is their big man depth. ⁓ OKC has three quality bigs, and that was before they drafted a seven foot three guy in the first round the other night. So now OKC has four quality bigs with Chat Holmgren, Isaiah Harnstein, Jalen Williams, Jay Will, the other Jalen Williams. ⁓ and then now the and now the seven foot three Mara from from Michigan. So man, everyone else is getting bigger, which pause, which you know. Which which the T-Wolves already were. They already had size and then JonBE aka DJ Chill: The other Jalen Williams. The other other ⁓ KW: Now they're now they're downsizing. Now they got more more guard depth, which is never a bad thing. But I kinda worry they're getting away from their identity. That would be my worry. So I actually think the Charlotte Hornets won this trade, to be honest with you. JonBE aka DJ Chill: No. Wow. Can't agree with that. I think that I think both sides walked away unhappy because Minnesota yet again gave up a haul for a star player. They first did it with Rudy Gobert, and now they you know this is what they do the blankdom picks. They going after ⁓ somebody who is a star talent but a superstar personality in the league. His brand KW: Okay. Much. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It's gonna bring people to the seat to the seats. You know, he his his style of basketball is gonna make more people watch. I am interested to see how he's gonna mesh with Anthony Edwards. Because Anthony Edwards is not an off the ball really type of player. And the Mello likes to dominate the ball. But the trade itself, giving up, ⁓ they gave up, they got the Mello ball and Josh Green, and they gave up Nasreed. A twenty thirty-three unprotected first round pick. Now that's twenty thirty three. That's nowhere near the future whatsoever. So that's the s that's just a a drop in the bucket. But we're really long ways. But the it was the pick swaps. So you get three first round pick swaps, twenty eight, twenty nine, and thirty. So for the next three years, they can swap it out if Minnesota is lower than them or higher than them, should I say, they can swap and go up. I doubt it, but you know KW: Long ways away. Six. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It's a lot of picks. So they didn't really get a pick. They got a pick swap. And they got three and they and they got three second round pick swaps. Now those might turn into something you never know. So the combination of ball and edwards, it reminds me of more of the same from the Hornets. They they're except where they do have a dominant big. I do not think it puts them over the top in the West. I do not think it gives them the opportunity to beat a Wimbenyama, a young Thunder teams with Buku picks themselves. KW: Mm-hmm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I don't even know if they can get past the Lakers with Old LeBron. You still got you still got Kevin Garnett, Kevin Garnett, Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, depending on which way that goes. And who knows where Kawhi Leonard's gonna end up. So, you know, there's a lot of teams, but I still put them with this move as the probably sixth, fifth or sixth best team in the West. Do you think this bumps them up in the championship contention with this trade? KW: No, yeah. Yeah. I'd agree with that. No, it honestly like bumps them down for me, man. Like ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Bumps them down. You Nas Reed was that valuable? KW: I'm a big Nas Reed guy. Yeah. I mean, he he's you don't have many you don't have many centers who can spot up and hit a three, defend well, protect the rim, and put the ball on the floor and be able to get to the rim. Like that's a luxury to have. Like there's not many weapons in the NBA. Like in the NFL, like some teams have weapons and it can kind of take them over the top, you know, these speed guys or whatever, whatever. That's how I look at Nas Reed and Carl Anthony Towns being able to shoot the ball the way they did. And they traded both of them. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. Right. KW: him away. And you know, if they were to able if they made this trade like last summer and maybe gave up Nas Reed but also got a center back or were able to go get a center and maybe they will go get a center in free agency. Who knows? Because the other guy's like nineteen years old who's backing up Rudy right now. ⁓ they just don't have that much depth and not that much size in the West where you need size. And if you don't have size, then hey, you better be able to shoot the blood out the ball, which they kinda can. They kinda can, but ain't like they're, you know, the warriors in their prime or something like that. So they got a lot of talent, but I think there's a lot of areas to expose them to. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Do you think that this does anything to move the needle for the Charlotte Hornets? Because they got ⁓ Knipple, and he I guess they're gonna build their franchise around him now. Does this put them any closer? Because last year they were hot. They were on the hotter teams in basketball. You were figuring they're this young core, they're ascending. They look like they could be, you know, the mellow ball had the healthiest season of his career. It looked like they could actually make some noise the following year. What made what prompted them to say, you know what? Screw it. We're just gonna run with Knipple and and build around this guy and go from there. Do you think they're better and what made them trade this almost all star caliber player? KW: That's a good question 'cause you just made a great point there. Like last year was his healthiest season that we've seen in quite a while from LaMelo and we saw the fruits of it, right? Like we saw them in the second half of the season make a big run at the playoffs. They got to the play in, but they were like statistically one of the probably five to ten best teams the second half of that year. And JonBE aka DJ Chill: Big run. Especially from the three point line. KW: For sure, for sure, yeah. And you know, I would think, okay, if you're gonna trade Lamello, at least give it to the trade deadline, right? See what the first half looks like and you know what I mean? But it seems like they they got a desperate team here. I mean, the amount of picks the Timberwolves gave up, the fact that the Hornets have Kobe White on their team who's a starting level guard and was coming off the bench for them after the trade last year. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Right. KW: They got deeper just in the draft. They drafted two quality guys for front court depth just this past just this past Tuesday. Then got Nas Reed, who again is a weapon. ⁓ this team, I don't know if they're ready to contend right now, but they certainly are ready to compete, and they've got as deep of a roster as anybody. The fact that you could feel comfortable trading a LaMelo ball because you got Kobe White says a lot. And they're well coached, they're young, they're on the rise, and they're already got a taste of winning. Can they actually put it together and be like a JonBE aka DJ Chill: They did. Young guys. Yes, they do. KW: top six seed and make the playoffs by itself, we'll see. But I think I think they're in a better position in the East, even as deep as the East is, than the Timberwolves. I again I think the Hornets won this trade. JonBE aka DJ Chill: We shall see. I I don't think either team won this trade. No team is closer to a championship and you gave up a boatload of picks just to get a guy who you hope is gonna step into what the Hamelo Ball is such a big personality in persona in NBA, you would think that he's done more than what he already has. He's more known for his antics and his shoes than he is for being a great NBA player. He's a good NBA player. He's not a great NBA. He has the potential to be great, but it just seems like he hasn't hit that next level to be that great guy. So I don't think he brings that. As of right now, I don't think what he brings to the Minnesota Timberwolves is going to get them past anybody in the West. You got the young, hungry Spurs who are looking to bounce back. You got the Thunder, who want their get back. You still got an offensively great. Lakers team who I compare to almost like the Bengals. The Lakers are like the Bengals. They're great offensively, but defense they couldn't stop me. And I'm not even good at basketball. So it's just more so, what did this trade do for you but bring a personality to your bench? I don't think it to your bench, to your starting lineup. I don't think it fixes anything. I don't think it makes you better. So that's why I say they both lost. And you gave up all that cap draft capital. So it's almost like a wash. But it is what it is. All right. KW: It was it was needlessly it was no I was just gonna say it was needlessly desperate on the Timberwolves part 'cause I thought they were already close and to me they took a slight step back. But I do think the the Hornets are closer. Not necessarily this year, but in the coming years I do think they they gave themselves a better chance to compete. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Go ahead. Okay. I like it. All right, we had a lot of other NBA news going on. So ⁓ and Kobe White re-signed with the Hornets. So that that's that's gonna be their point guard of of of the of the future. They're gonna go ahead and just rock with him. ⁓ Los Los Taylor said, ⁓ what's going on, Los? He said, ⁓ gotta hope he stays healthy too. Absolutely. Absolutely. If he don't stay healthy, it's pointless. But I still don't think he takes him over the top. That's just, you know, my point. KW: Yep. Facts. That's a great point. JonBE aka DJ Chill: My thought process on that. All right. We had some more news. so my prediction for 2026 did not come to light. My prediction was that Giannis would get traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. In my heart of hearts, I I I just knew that's what was gonna happen. Instead, he got traded to the Miami Heat. Are the was I? I don't think so. Totally off. KW: I was thinking about this. You're close. ⁓ no. I mean yeah Yeah, I mean, you know, you gotta you gotta beach city at least. JonBE aka DJ Chill: It was close it was coastal, so that counts. ⁓ so is Giannis going to the heat making them NBA champions? Is I mean, 'cause of what you now you talk about giving up a hall. They gave up a lot of young talent who are proven scorers and can play in the NBA to get one guy, two guys, him and Bobby Portis, who are on the second half of their prime. Bobby Portis more so on the th ⁓ out of his prime and just a good role player. KW: Right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Mm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Does Giannis make the Miami Heat champions? And are they championship robust since they made this trade? KW: The Heat are kind of they kinda always swim in the water of championship or bust, even though they haven't had the rosters in the past couple years, ⁓ especially since they traded Jimmy. I talked about this on the Warner Brothers podcast Tuesday. I did this during the first round of the draft. ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes. KW: I view Giannis kinda like to use like an NFL comparison. I think it's like if a team were to land an elite quarterback. Regardless of the roster, you kinda like you kinda gotta build towards competing. And like you said, the Miami Heat gave up a lot. So so many people are saying like, hey, like, what's the point? Like, they're not gonna be much better than the Bucks. This was a play in team last year. Like JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm. Right. A whole lot, KW: What's really the point here? Like are are you really better off? And okay, the roster's hardly filled out. I get that. ⁓ but what I would what I would say and what I did say again on the WBP on Tuesday, go check that podcast out. Warner Brothers podcast. You pair Giannis with Eric Spolstra, who's an elite coach, who's a Hall of Fame coach. That ⁓ that alone is an asset. ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Warner Brothers Podcast across all platforms. Okay. KW: Let's say you get 65, 70 games out of Giannis, who has been injured the last few years. He's gonna produce. He's gonna get wins. Even just based off how hard he plays, he's gonna, he's gonna get you wins. And that's what they're all about in Miami is effort, playing tough, being in shape, all things that Giannis is all about. So this is a match made in heaven, player, coach, organization-wise. The problem is they don't have to roster yet. ⁓ JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm-hmm. She's KW: Bobby Portis does help. That's a quality rotation player. You've got Davion Mitchell there, you've got Andrew Wiggins there, and you've got Bam there. All four of those players, not Bobby, but the other four that are would be in the starting lineup, they can all defend. Giannis, Bamb, Davion, and Andrew Wiggins, all four are elite defenders at their position. Miami's gonna be a bitch to play because of that. But you need seven or eight players. ⁓ other side of that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes. You do. KW: Miami has consistently over this past decade plus found diamonds in the rough. They can go into the G League and just fucking find a quality player out of nowhere. So yeah, it'll probably be successful. Yeah, technically the championship are bust. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They have. KW: Do I see them actually like competing? It'll probably take a few injuries for that to happen. But I wouldn't I would not all the way rule them out for this year or next year. Because all it takes is a couple injuries. All it takes is a couple guys to show up out of nowhere, which happens to the Heat. Even on their best rosters, they have that. So just watch out. If they if they happen to get a couple of players who you wouldn't s expect to sign for like the minimum or something like that, you never know. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm. Think it'll be all right. KW: You never you they might be. They might be. I think they'll be middle of the pack, but they'll be lurking, man. ⁓ y let a few injuries happen, man. Yeah. Giannis is Giannis is Giannis and Eric Spoolstra Eric Spoolstra. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Eric Spolster has done more with less than any head coach I've ever seen in my entire life. And he's a younger guy. He's he's it's not like he's a a Popovich who's has all this tenure. True enough, he has not won a championship without LeBron. Fair. But he has took a Jimmy Butler led team to the NBA Finals, albeit the bubble. You know, so did he go after the bubble? They did go after the bubble. They did go after the bubble. KW: Right. And after the bubble. As a as a playing team at that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So the coaching is not the problem. But coaching to me wasn't a problem when he was in Milwaukee. They were winning. It's not like they weren't winning in a regular season and excelling. Maybe it's system. Maybe it's culture. Giannis to me he kinda he he copped out a little bit. He wanted to be in a bigger market. KW: Right. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He wanted to have an opportunity to play somewhere else where he can expand his brand, love the city he's in, you know, no state tax. Things like that go through players' minds when they really playing. Would you rather be pulling up in December to Milwaukee? Or are you rather getting off going home to a ⁓ or get off a plane and go to Miami and to go to your beachfront property? Sign me up too. Okay, so back to basketball, the aspect of it. I think it was KW: Sammy out. JonBE aka DJ Chill: A smart trade for the ⁓ Milwaukee Bucks because I'm a fan of saying if he's gonna leave, get something for him. He's he was going to leave after this season. He wasn't staying there, so get something out of it. And they got a they got somewhat of a haul. They a better haul than me than Minnesota. They got Tyler Hero, Khalilware, ⁓ J Jamar Jacques, and a second year guard, I can't say his name, ⁓ Cassip ca Casparis Jacukinus. I got that's a tough one. Plus three first round draft picks, twenty-six, thirty-one, thirty-three, a first pick swap, and a second round pick. True enough, it's Giannis. So you gotta pay up. But even with those pieces, they still are able to move a Tyler Hero, who's a Milwaukee native, by the way, born and raised, a Hawkes, a a Khalil Ware, who could possibly go to the Lakers. KW: Yeah, that was tripping me up too. That was tripping me up too. JonBE aka DJ Chill: guy like that would be great on the Lakers. So they are set up for the future because Giannis was the pass for them. I don't think he was injured last year. I think he was playing a little hooky and they they just wanted to sit him to the side so that way when they did trade him there was no issues that he maybe did get injured. Maybe he did pull a a A CL strain ACL Terry Kid. You know, things happen. He's on the other side of what, thirty now? So he's in this in the latter half of his prime. He's got another What what would you say? Three years to be prime Giannis? Maybe two and a half yeah, about three years, 'cause he hasn't developed a jump shot. He has no outside game. And yes, he's one of the best defensive players in the league. And I would say even behind Wimby right now, just 'cause Wimby's seven four. He can block anybody in anything. When Giannis plays at h the way he can uninjured, he is a top two player in the league. KW: It seems that way. It seems that way. It's true. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I I can't say who's won yet. You know, that's up a debate. People say Wimby, yada yada yada. But they so you can fill it in. But he's top two. And he could possibly be one, even though his game is very limited. So it we're gonna see because he went to a team where they they traded away all of their shooters and their leading scorer who gets you twenty and nice. So I think they're gonna get a lot of guys to come in and play minimum, minimum basketball on the vet side. Get some shooters in there, they're gonna build around him because I do trust in Pat Riley as a GM, like you say. They're they'll get guys who can fill a role and be able to do everything. Cause Giannis, as I saw him when he played a full effort, was more of a point forward now. He was getting that almost LeBron ish type of role going on. So to bring him into your building, you're already championship robust. It's just the way it is. If you don't sniff a championship with Giannis out there, it then it's just gonna be a waste of everybody's time. KW: Mm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So we'll see what happens. I'm excited. It's gonna be fun to watch. I'll tell you that much. I would have loved to see him in the Lakers uniform, but you know, who am I? So we're gonna we're gonna keep it moving. I wanna talk about some other NBA news. I wanna talk about this guy right here. Let me pull him up. I wanna talk about Jalen Brown. Yeah, I wanna talk about Jalen Brown. Jalen Brown was in all the talks about this whole Giannis situation. KW: Yeah. ⁓ wow. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: They wanted them to give Jalen Brown and three first round picks. Would you have made that trade if Shout out my main man Ray. Ray just pulled up. What's up, Ray? What up, big dog? We miss you. Come on home, big dog. Come on home. ⁓ Jalen Brown, would you have made the trade for the Milwaukee Bucks if you had to give a three first Jalen Brown, $100 plus million dollar man, sending him to Milwaukee, but you get Giannis and you get to keep Tatum. And why is it. KW: ⁓ yeah. Poppin' Ray. It's poppin' right. Mm. JonBE aka DJ Chill: And this is the second part of the question, that Jalen Brown is always the topic of discussion when it comes to trading. And Jason Tatum is not even talked about as a as an option. Your thoughts, first about would you have made the trade, second about the whole Tatum Brown dynamic. KW: Probably not with three first round picks. With two in Jalen Brown, like I think that's a good deal. ⁓ so three's probably where the Celtics backed out. ⁓ otherwise I think Jalen himself's honestly a better offer than what they got from the Heat. ⁓ it's surprising to me that really only the Heat and the Celtics were the two that were in on the trade. Like it's fucking Giannis. I don't care how old he is. Like you just said, like he is pretty limited as a player. But he does JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm. Yes. KW: the high athletic stuff at such a high level, which again, like you're right, it probably only has a two or three year shelf life, but man, does he try, man does he play hard, man is he a leader. I kinda would have had I would have rather had Jalen Brown than Tyler Hero and all them, but honestly if you kinda compare it like are those can those three guys or four guys in the draft picks, can they equal Jalen Brown as a whole? JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes, he does. Mayor. Yeah, he does. KW: Maybe. Maybe they can. So if that's the case, maybe they did make the the right deal. But I think JonBE aka DJ Chill: So Katala Hero, Haquez, Khalilware, and I can't say his name, all equal up to Jalen Brown. ⁓ KW: Yeah. They might. They might. Just because Khalil Ware looks like friggin' Timu, Giannis, like there's something there, but you just never know, kind of thing, 'cause JonBE aka DJ Chill: They they said, and this is to the second half of the question that I want you to answer right right back. ⁓ and I was asked about that. It says because Jathan Brown isn't as marketable, and he's speaking as as marketable as Jason Tatum. So leading into that, do you think that has something to do with why he's always on the market? So he led the team last year, was in MVP talks, led them pretty he led them to the playoffs. Why? KW: Jalen Brown is the smart. Right. Right. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Is this the situation that he's always the odd man out? And this isn't the first year. KW: So I am a self-proclaimed retired Celtics fan. I was a big Celtics fan for a segment of my life. And I I retired a couple of years ago. So when I was a big fan though, I I was part of the Jalen and Jason experience, part of them growing up, a part of the Celtics. ⁓ and and Jalen was at times mentioned in trade rumors, but Boston's a front office that really doesn't leak stuff. Like you don't really hear what's going on in that organization. JonBE aka DJ Chill: That's it. KW: And they've stuck by Jalen through a lot and Jason, obviously. ⁓ the reason why I think your question's especially relevant is because Tatum's coming off an Achilles injury. So if anything, Jalen's proven to be the healthier guy. So I think you have an argument there. But as I said, again, go check out the WBP the episode I did about Giannis and Jalen Brown. What I said about Jalen was he was offered because it was Giannis. If it was JonBE aka DJ Chill: Exactly. KW: A player who's a level down, I don't think you even hear about Boston offering anybody, whether it's Jalen, whether it's Jason, whether it's anybody. Jalen Jalen will I don't think so. I think I I believe he will be playing week one, game one for the Boston Celtics. I I think he'll be there. I think he'll be there. And I think you'll only hear him in these type of talks when it's a player like Giannis and all that. And I'm not even a Jalen Brown guy, to be honest with you, but ⁓ but hey. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I don't think so. I think they want him out of there. I don't. I think he'll be gone. I think he'll be gone. ⁓ My main my main man Ray said Jalen Brown's gonna show people how good he is once he gets his own team. It's because he's difficult. He's not gonna get the love. Jalen Brown, I agree, is highly intelligent. So you're not gonna just pull the wool over his eyes. And that's what people fail to realize. He is off the charts intelligent. And people who are off the charts intelligent are very difficult to deal with. Kyrie Irvin. KW: Yes. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He didn't just go to Duke because he could play basketball. You gotta have the grades. I'm sorry. It is what it is. This dude, Jalen Brown, gives TED Talks at like MIT. Come on now. I can barely spell MIT. So it's it's when you got somebody who may feel like they know it all, can see it all, and and to this point has done it all, finals MVP, Eastern Conference MVP. You know, led a team without Jason Tatum to the playoffs, top seed in the East. You know, MVP talks. And then you bring back Jason Tatum, all of a sudden he's the nappy headed stepchild, pun intended. You know, I'm not taking shots at Boston, but Boston has been known for being hard even on their own athletes with people of color. Let's just put it out there. I'm just saying it is what it is. Tatum is more appeasing to the eye to the Boston market. KW: I would again I I'm a I'm I'm a fan of the Patriots. I'm I used to be a fan of the Celtics. I'd push back on that a little bit. I think that narrative's slightly overrated, but that's that's a topic for another day. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You think so? That we'll have to bring that up. That's a good conversation. That's a good conversation. KW: I I I do want to bring this up about Jalen, because again, I don't think he's gonna get traded. Unless the only other deal I brought up that he could get traded for would be for Trey Murphy and Herb Jones. And I think it would be Jordan Poole, was the one people have brought up. And I think Keenan even brought it up, where the salaries match. I think that's good because Trey Murphy's a younger version of Jalen Brown, essentially. So you can like because that's the other part of this is Jalen's salary. It's not really Jalen's play. JonBE aka DJ Chill: She's getting paid ⁓ KW: Or Jalen's or Jalen's attitude. The other thing about it though, the only thing I would say if they ever wanted to trade Jalen, the only thing that he's done that like really hasn't looked great in the public eye was he hasn't really he hasn't shied away from saying he loved having his own team last year. And this is someone as he shouldn't as he shouldn't, but he also said JonBE aka DJ Chill: As he shouldn't, he bought out. KW: Hey, this was the most fun I've had during a season. When they've won championships and been in the NBA finals and stuff like that, they ch they choked against us JonBE aka DJ Chill: Think about it. Wouldn't you have fun if you were the man on your team and you've never got a chance to be the man? KW: Yeah, but do you say do you say that a day after you just blew a three one lead to the Philadelphia Seventy Sixers? I wouldn't that Yeah Right, right, right. So you know, I think if they were gonna trade him, he'd be gone already. I truly think he'll be around. But I think there was some minor things they were upset with, but I overall I think the relationship's good, honestly. JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ probably not. I don't his timing could have been better. I think he doesn't suit up in the Celtics jersey again. And I could be wrong. I think they're gonna get what they can get from him because now there is so much friction that it could mess with the chemistry of the team. And like and like my main man 623 AM, shout out, shout out Ray. He it comes across as difficult because he's not just gonna go for the flu gazy just because you tell him it's it's what it is. And I I give him every ounce of credit and I hope he does get his own team an opportunity to show people how great he can be because people don't think he can lead a team to any type of promised land. So we'll just have to see what happens with that. But I'm excited. If he does play, I hope he goes out there and he outplays Jason Tatum. Just to show him yet again that I'm the because why didn't Jalen Brown get an an invitation to the the Olympic Games? But Jason Tatum did. So people think overall Jason Tatum is the better player, but him coming off of injury, some guys are never the same. So we'll see what happens. Okay. Speaking of greatness and guys being the greatest player on their team, we're gonna start it super early. Season just stopped. Stove's still hot. And I want to get it from the hip, fresh off the top of your head next year. KW: Ha ha JonBE aka DJ Chill: Who's your and you can be fluid, this is not something you gotta stick to because this is really early. Who is your early MVP of the NBA next year? Chat, who you got for the early MVP of next year? KW: This will be the earliest MVP prediction I've ever given. ⁓ obviously the easiest pick to make is Wemby, 'cause it's eventually gonna happen and but that's boring. But that's boring. That's boring. But he I mean, he'll be on the short list. I'm actually gonna go with Luca though. I'm kinda I'm kinda doing this kinda like the Justin Herbert thing. ⁓ I it's kinda like now or never for Luca. I don't wanna say now or never, but like JonBE aka DJ Chill: Earliest. come on with the wimby. Yeah. Wow. KW: Wemby's coming. He's gonna he's gonna eventually get an MVP and probably several if he stays healthy. Jokic is always in the conversation. SGA's always gonna be in the conversation. Tatum or Brown's gonna be in the conversation. Jalen Brunson's gonna be in the conversation. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. Right. KW: The Lakers gotta put a great team together around Luca this year. I'm very interested to see what the offseason looks like. They just signed Austin Reeves to the max. We don't know what's happening with LeBron yet. The early rumors were that he might come back to LA. ⁓ they'll have an incredible offense. They'll be incredibly well coached with JJ. But if they can get the right guys around Luka It's time, man. ⁓ 'cause he's d he's deserved probably one in the past. There's one you could probably make an argument for. I forget which year it was. I think it was the year they made it to the finals. But I would have thought he would have had one by now. And his stats are always there and his teams are somewhere either between middle of the pack to the top of the conference. So if they can put together a quality team around Luca in a in a deep west, in a loaded West, yeah, man, if he can get a top three seed I'd like to see Luca get that award. And I'd like to see Luca like put together a full quality season being in shape and see what that looks like. 'Cause last year he was, I guess, in shape and it w you know, it looked okay. You got hurt? And they couldn't play defense like you said. So I'd like to see like what a quality product of this LA team looks around Luca. JonBE aka DJ Chill: He got hurt. He looked okay. He he looked good. He was just hurt. Jokic. Jokic is go is my early MVP pick. He is, have you seen him? He is lean, mean Jokic. He lost weight. He is still practicing. This Jokic is the most uncaring about basketball MVP top caliber player that I've ever seen in my life. He doesn't even care about basketball. He smokes cigarettes and dr I don't know if he smokes cigarettes, but he definitely drinks beers and everything after the game. And he'll still give you thirty, fifteen, and six. KW: No gets good can't go wrong. Can't go wrong. No. He's lost weight already? JonBE aka DJ Chill: You know, thirty fifteen and ten. You know. He he just it I just think I think y you he looks like a cigarette smoker. Doesn't he look like he definitely looks like supposed to s Virginia Slims, you know, it's like that way he can vouch for his stuff like, ⁓ it's just a Virginia Slim, it doesn't count. But I definitely think Jokic will be ⁓ V P of the lead next year. He's coming back with a vengeance, he looks great. It's almost like lean Luca. So unfortunately the American players are still KW: I think we should assume he smokes cigarettes. I think we should start that. He definitely enjoys a cigarette here and there, yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: s sucking dust pause, you know, 'cause they are unable to keep up with these aforementioned international athletes who are coming over more prepared, more serious, more ready. And like I say about Luca, he he isn't even taking his condition in serious and he's still better than your best player. He's still pretty you could pretty much you could make the argument that that Jokic is the best player in the league. KW: Yep. I'd agree with that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: You can legitimately make that argument that he is the best basketball player in the NBA, an American-born sport. So it's just gonna be fun to see what happens. So that's my pick. All right. We're gonna keep you can't go wrong with it. We're gonna keep it rolling. This should be interesting. I'd like to play a little game. And we've been playing the game called Stop Me Win. Chad, I want you to chime in too. Let me know what you think. You know, tell me what you think, chat. KW: Yeah. Can't go wrong. JonBE aka DJ Chill: This is called Stop Me Win. And usually we go by player, but I wanted to switch it up and do NBA Championship Edition. Now, this is gonna be pissing a lot of people off. All right. So the game is Stop Me Win. So, Cal, I'm gonna give you a team. NBA Champion. Okay. And then I want you to stop me win. Fair enough? All right, let me pull up my team. Let me pull up. Where's my team? Where are they at? KW: Okay. Okay. Okay. Fair enough. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Gotta find them. Here we go. ⁓ this ain't that ain't them. Doo-da-doo. Here we go. The 1996 Chicago Bulls Championship. Legendary team. I'm Jesus. Okay. I'm gonna name some teams. And I want you to stop me when I name a starting five that is better or you think could beat. KW: Legendary. Seventy two and ten. JonBE aka DJ Chill: The nineteen ninety five ninety six Chicago Bulls. KW: So just a starting five or the whole squad? What am I what am I taking into account? ⁓ wow. All right. Interesting. Okay. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Just a starting five. Just a starting five. All right, we're gonna take it way back. We're gonna take it back. The 1982 Los Angeles Lakers. Yeah, Magic Johnson, Norm Nixon, Jamil Wicks, Kurt Rambus, Kream Abdul Jabbar. No. KW: In theory they could. The starting five's throwing me off 'cause ⁓ any five can be any five. But ⁓ I'm gonna stay silent for that one. I'm gonna I wanna hear what's next. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. The nineteen eighty three seventy sixers, Maurice Cheeks, Andrew Tony, Julius Irvin, Mark I Lavado Rip, I can't say his name, and Moses Malone. Yes. KW: Abery. Moses Moses Malone. That's a great one. That's a great one. I'm gonna stay quiet for right now, though. That's a good matchup, though. I like that matchup. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Ooh okay, okay, all right, all right, all right Let's skip ahead. Let's skip ahead. The nineteen ninety nine shout out my main man Keenan Warner Brothers podcast, Spurs, Avery Johnson, Mario Ely, Sean Elliott, Tim Duncan, David Robinson. Could they be are they better than or could they beat the Chicago Bulls nineteen ninety five, nineteen ninety six? KW: Mm. Tough matchup. I like the Bulls. I like the Bulls in that one. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Wow, with with the Admiral and Tim Duncan? KW: Yeah, they lock in Avery Johnson's little lass up. He ain't getting the ball past the half court. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. Alright, now we got now it's about to get stinky. It's about to get sticky. I'm gonna I'm gonna take it back. The nineteen eighty nine Pistons. Isaiah Thomas Joe Dumas Mark is it Agoir? Aguire? We're gonna go with Aguire. Rick Mahorn, Bill Lambier. KW: Maguire. Both teams got Rodman too. ⁓ I'm gonna go with this version of the Bulls though. That that version of Jordan Pippen, it's tough to beat. Tough to beat. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes. Shhh. Okay. All right. Chat, time in. Tell me if you hear a team, stop me. You gotta throw out the team. The 2001 Los Angeles Lakers. Derek Fisher, Kobe Bryant, Rick Fox, Horace Grant, Shaquille O'Neal. KW: That's where it'd get tough, man. Who were like, come on, Shaq? It's Shaq. it's a seven game. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Could Dennis Robbins do anything with Shaq? And he's a bad boy. Dennis Robbins cold. KW: It's yeah, it's it's been said Rodman guarded him the best. Best of seven. It's going all seven. That one's a toss-up for me. So I'll I'll give the Lakers the respect of I'll speak up there because they could definitely beat this team. That's that's one that's the one where I think it would be a toss-up. But but I mean you still got prime Mike, you still got Prime Scotty, you got Dennis Rodman. And I'm not factoring in the bench. That's the thing here. That's where it gets tough. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. Wow, the Lakers? That's the one that could beat him? Yes. Okay. We're not factoring in a bench. We're just talking to starters. KW: That's where it gets tough because then you can hack a Shaq. You can foul Shaq out. You can get him at the line a lot. Then then you favor the Bulls a little bit. So JonBE aka DJ Chill: Who you got? Are you gonna stay quiet on that one? KW: I'm I'm still speaking up, but I do want to hear what else we got. I wanna hear what else we got. It's not a definitive one, but I that's the one the first one where I can say, Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. The two thousand eight, two thousand eight Ball and these are all championship teams. I'm just naming championship teams. Two thousand eight Boston Celtics, Rajan Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins. KW: Yep. Mm-hmm. That's a good one. That's an underrated championship team. ⁓ I I think I would ride with the Bulls on that one. But that's a really that's a really good team. They match up very well on both sides. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Man. Okay. The 2011 Mavericks, Jason Kidd, Deshaun Stevenson, Sean Marion, Dirk, Tyson Chandler. KW: ⁓ I'm going Bulls with that one. That one I'm I'm confident in. Though I like that Mavs team. I like that Mavs team, but I get the Bulls in that one. ⁓ that's a great one. That's a great matchup. JonBE aka DJ Chill: That's just confident, huh? 2013 Miami Heat. Mario Chalmers, Dean, Dwayne Wade, Mike Miller, LeBron James, Chris Bosch. KW: Same as with the two thousand one Lakers. I'm gonna speak up and give the Heat their respect. The Heat I'm not sure the Bulls might even be favored, but the Heat at least deserve to be like, Yeah, they could they could win that for sure. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. The two thousand and we'll go seventeen. Two thousand eighteen will make it even more interesting. Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, JaVel McGee. KW: Yeah, man, that's the one that's hard for anybody to beat. Like, I mean, it's Durant, Curry, and Clay. That's a lot of shooting. And Draymond. And Draymond. I I was I was talking about the shooters, but yeah, Draymond's in there too. That's the thing about Draymond though, Rodman might get his ass out of here with ⁓ you know what I mean? He might they they might. They might. They just might fight to the death. Exactly. Exactly. The pretty much. JonBE aka DJ Chill: And Draymond, don't don't don't don't forget Draymond, man. Don't They get each other out of there. That'd be interesting. They might fight. Yeah, they might fight to the death. 'Cause they're the same guy with different hair. I swear. KW: The Bulls are weirdly equipped to guard the Warriors, but and they got the size, but you know, the Warriors are just too explosive. That's like that's like greatest show on turf type shit that the Warriors got going on. So W Warriors are so offensively overpowered, man, it's hard to say that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes, it is. I'm a I'ma flip I'ma jump ahead a little bit. Oof, I love it. My man said, my man Mo said, nobody is stopping the Shaq and Kobe duo at all. Shaq putting 50 on Rodman. He probably is. But it's it's it's the Bulls. It's Mike. It's the it's the goat that people say. The majority of people say Mike is the goat. I'm just saying. But I I can see where you're coming from. You ain't you ain't spitting no no no false venom. All right, I'm gonna give you a couple more teams and we're gonna we're gonna keep it moving. KW: Ha ha You wrong. JonBE aka DJ Chill: The two thousand and twenty-three Denver Nuggets, Jamal Murray, ⁓ Contavio Caldwell Pope, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., Nikola Jokic. KW: That's tough squad. That is a tough squad. I'd probably take the Bulls gun to my head. But that Nuggets team, that Nuggets team is right there too. Nuggets are that's a great squad. I'd love to see I'd love to see Rod I just I was gonna say I'd love to see Rodman and Jokic, what that would look like. Because Jokic is a psycho low-key. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Who That's Two thousand and twenty. Go ahead. That'd be interesting. Yes. Yes, he is. Two thousand twenty one Milwaukee Bucks. Drew Holiday, Chris Middleton, PJ Tucker, Giannis Antecumpo, Brooke Lopez. That's a solid squad, man. KW: Solid squad. Solid squad. I'm gonna go Bulls there. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. The two thousand and sixteen Cleveland. This is for you, Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving, J.R. Smith, LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson. KW: Mm-hmm. Hey man, if they can beat the seventy three and nine Warriors, why can't they beat the seventy two and ten Bulls? That'd be a great series too. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I like that. I I respect that. That's that's some good solid comp. So we're gonna segue. Now I just I'm interested in team versus team. My man man Mo said Shaq and Kobe. So could two thousand sixteen Cleveland Cavaliers who beat the Warriors beat Shaq and Kobe and those Los Angeles Lakers starting five. I know. KW: At least here's the thing. The Bulls at least had Rodman and some seven footers to throw at Shaq. That Cleveland team, it would like Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love. And Shaq's just like I don't even want to know what Shaq would do to them, honestly. That like there's no Yeah, yeah, and by the Cavs would probably just put Shaq in the pick and roll on the other side, but and you got the Hackershack. That's the thing. You you would have the Hackershack. So JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm. ⁓ my goodness. Barbecue chicken. Barbecue chicken. But you got the hackershack. Got a hackersack. KW: But man, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson. And then who who backed them up that year? I think maybe Mazgov. Yeah. Yeah, man. I don't know. I don't know. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Timothy Mazgov champion. Okay. Let's keep it moving. You know what I mean? We got some more stuff to talk about. Let's get into it. Yes, sir. Where's it at? Where's my where's my where's my drop? Here we go. Man, he was serious as hell when he said he made me want to go for profession. That I love that part. All right, so we're gonna talk a little bit of football. I just want to get you very early coming into the season 'cause you know it's just it's just a good thing without seeing anybody. So I'm gonna put up last year, I got a ranking from last year, the the the best quarterbacks. I wanna get your top five QBs coming in of twenty twenty six. KW: What's your favorite part of the show right there? JonBE aka DJ Chill: No order needed. Just who is the top five guys coming into the twenty twenty six season? KW: Mine's kind of chalk, honestly, my five. ⁓ it's the core four there that you see at the top. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Patty Patty Mahomes. And then you gotta throw Stafford in there, who just won the MVP. So that's my chalk five. I could give you a next five though, if you want. That's my easy five. It's hard to dispute that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Okay. Say that's the easy five you gonna go with? ⁓ okay, give me five out of the top five. KW: Five out of the top five. ⁓ got you, got you. So the next five I had, and I couldn't really like I tried to argue either way, but the next five I had was no order here. Baker Mayfield. I had Justin Herbert. I had Drake May. I had Caleb Williams. And then that last ball. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Give me five outside of the top five. Mm. Mm. Wow. KW: Yeah, yeah. That last spot was kinda tough for me because I think you can put Purdy there. You can put Dak Prescott there. I'm gonna go Purdy just 'cause he's been the Super Bowl. So I got Purdy ten, Prescott Jordan Love, Darnold. Few of those guys would be like in the eleven range. So that would would be ever changing. But right now, just for the purpose of it, I'll settle on Brock Purdy as number ten. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So when I'm looking at this, I'm looking at it from the the lens of overall coming out of twenty six going into twenty seven go the twenty five season going into twenty six season. I can't put Mahomes at the top, he's hurt. I can't I can't go th I can't give Burrow the pass anymore of went to the Superbowl. KW: thought about doing that. I thought about doing that. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So is he's a great quarterback. But, you know, we're talking coming in the next year and we I'm being real hard on him. I I don't think he's top five. Top ten, maybe he'd be even six. You know I mean seven. So but I would take those two out. I would leave Josh Allen up there, even though I'm not really a Josh Allen fan. I'm s I'm iffy on Lamar because I don't know what this new offense is gonna look like. Cause last year he was throwing the ball, slinging it around. I don't know 'cause they if they're gonna what they're gonna do, they got defensive head coach. But ⁓ you know, for argument's sake, you know, without doing too much, I don't I'm gonna hold off. So without I would put Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, Drake May. KW: Mm. There. Okay. Okay. Okay. Two more. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Two more is difficult. Trevor Lawrence. KW: And not Lamar. Wow man. Somewhere Brandon Petty's happy. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Trevor Lawrence and Trevor Lawrence, man. I really think he's up there. And then if I had to s if I had to put somebody up there who I think is going to have a big season, I'll even give you Justin Herbert. And that's not saying they're better than the other quarterbacks. I just think at super early, they could be the top five quarterbacks in the league next year. Justin Herbert's got Mike McDaniels. ⁓ KW: Okay. Yeah. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: I think Matthew Stabbard, Matthew Stabbard still has McVay and he got some more he got some weapons. He got Miles Garrett. Come on, man. It's talking about making it easy on you. Josh Allen is Josh Allen, plus they got him a wide receiver. So that's gonna be interesting. Trevor Lawrence took off at the end of last season, and that same coach was Baker Mayfield's coach when he had his best overall statistical season, and they look great. They look great. And who was my last one? Who would I have? ⁓ Drake May. Can't forget Drake May. KW: ⁓ man. Yeah. Did Yep. Can't forget Drake May. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Come on, man, this will be his season approve it. Everybody says, including yourself and Keenan, he had one of the easiest schedules in football. True. Maybe. KW: Keen Keenan would agree with you. Keenan Keenan's more on your side than my side, I think, on that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Is he? Okay. Smart man. Smart man. But acquiring AJ Brown puts him at another level of opportunity. You know, their line's gonna get stronger. I think they need to move ⁓ what's his name? Will. Help me out here. Will Campbell. Move him. I said it before, moving the guard. Move him the guard, moving the center. He's not a bad line, he just can't he can't hold nobody. He's not his the arms are too short. It really is a thing with him. KW: Yes. Will Campbell. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So I think those are my gonna be top five super early picks going into next year as the best five quarterbacks in in football. I'm interested to see what Justin Herbert does. It should be fun. It should be fun. I'm excited about it. It's KW: Okay. I cannot wait to talk NFL, man. This is I c I could get in a full blown argument with like every quarterback there, I feel like. That w like we could just talk about ⁓ I could just debate about each way most of the quarterbacks there. I'm ready. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. All right. We gon get you got anything else on that? KW: No, I'm I'm excited to talk NFL. That's it. Once once August comes once August comes it's it's gonna be all football. JonBE aka DJ Chill: ⁓ it we it's on the way. It's on the way. So on it's on it's all football. I'm gonna bring back the live reaction Sunday. Live reaction Sunday coming back. ⁓ if you're watching right now, if you or if you were watching, make sure you go ahead and hit the like button. I got the ⁓ Apple Podcast and the Spotify Podcast up and running along with a YouTube podcast. Took a little time, but I got it together. ⁓ make sure you go on there and check it out. So if you can't watch the full episode, go back, give it a listen. It's gonna be dropping probably a little later tonight, if not first thing in the morning. All right, let's get into some entertainment news. KW: There we go. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So I'm gonna speak on the big three a little bit. The big three brought back the era of beef wrap, you know, to the to the to the major market, to the common consumer. Fair enough. KW: Yeah, yeah, most definitely, yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: So excluding them, what do you think was one of the best rap beefs that you could say we could say all time, or we could just say in general, your favorite rap beef when it came to hip hop? KW: First of all, you mentioned the big three. We're doing a big three podcast tomorrow, centered around Kendrick, Drake, J. Cole, with Keenan on the WBP. And it's gonna be some scoring that determines maybe who has the best career. I think that's ultimately the outcome between the three of us. We're gonna be scoring it with a f with a lot of different factors, actually a lot of different categories. So tune into that on Saturday evening, probably morning or evening. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yes, sir. Interesting. I love it. Warner Brothers podcast across all platforms. KW: Gonna be a fun show. I I can't wait to see what we got. Facts. Facts. But to answer your question, my favorite beef, if I had to pick one. They're two of my favorite rappers. I've said this many times on this podcast. ⁓ Jay-Z and Nas. That's that's my all-time favorite rap beef. We got we got Ether and we got Takeover, which are like not only two all-time great beef songs, but two all-time great songs, too. ⁓ so JonBE aka DJ Chill: Mm. Solid beef. Solid beef. KW: Classic, nobody got hurt. They actually like mended fences later on. We got great songs from Jay-Z and Nas themselves later on. So like no harm, no foul. And there was a lot of harm done actually. ⁓ but yeah, man, ⁓ that's like when I think of safe, you know, we got great rap. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Lot of harm. KW: hip hop beefs and it was two Titans, like two of the top three rappers of all time and at the time, probably the biggest rappers in the game too. Yeah, man. Can't you can't go wrong with that beef. And we got great music out of it. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. It When I heard Takeover, I was like, okay. You know, Jay Z was kind of a you know, almost like a Drake. He's kinda like he'll s he'll throw jabs. He's not really gonna go out and throw haymakers. When I heard Ether, pr it's flat out Jay Z. I said, Damn, he he not even gonna sugarcoat it. And the beat was one of the illest beats, almost like on some not like us for like the whole summer. It was us all you heard, everybody rapping over the ether beat, ether beat, ether beat, ether beat. That was honestly before Nas started messing with Hit ⁓ Hit Boy. Is it Hip Hit Boy he's messing with now? As far as his production? Is it Hit Boy? That was his best beat I ever heard him on, besides like Uchi Wally Wally. Because Nas's beats were not that great to me. But when he came off on that, I said, This man is going for the juggler. Who do you think won this battle? KW: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yep. Yeah. Mm. It's a classic beat. JonBE aka DJ Chill: 'Cause they really only put out one or so song against each other. KW: think N I think Nas ultimately won the battle because Jay Z was probably the more visible figure to like to like the public at large. ⁓ and he he threw haymakers and and Jay stumbled. And Jay stumbled. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. KW: I think Takeovers the better beef song, which is probably not a popular opinion, 'cause I think Takeovers got more truth in it, whereas Ether was just like, I'm going for your neck, fuck you, type of thing. ⁓ but I think if I had to pick a winner, Nas won the beef. Like, yeah, N Nas came out victorious in that one. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Yeah. I'm going at you. Yes, exactly. Feel it. I feel it. I if I was gonna go ahead, I'm gonna go ahead and pick my beef. But before I say that, I think this was it was almost good for hip hop Jay Z versus Nas. And it was clean cut. It wasn't like the Biggie Tupac where everybody was trying to be gangster. It was strictly lyrical. Yeah, it was personal, but it was they kept it in the booth and then that right there I can I can rock with. Almost like the new, you know Drake and Kendrick and J. Cole situation, even though it was lawsuits and whatnot going on. So whatever. Me, my favorite beef of all time is 50 Cent versus everybody. 50 Cent went off against the whole murdering crew. Jaru, Rick Ross, the game, Big Pun, Fat Joe, T.I., he KW: Yeah, true, true. This is a great one. This is a great one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Famously still picks on Diddy. Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, Ludacris, Young Buck, Nas, Big Pun, Fat Joe, Ameno, Pat Poose, Fabulous, Kanye West again, Ashanti, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss. He went out he went at Ashanti, he really did. Cameron, Cameron, Jim Jones, French Montana, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Meek Mill, Slim Thug, Beanie Seagull, Young Buck, and Benzino. KW: Yep. Yeah. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Those are what? Like, who hasn't this dude beef with? I if Biggie and Pac were alive, he'd have gave them an uppercut in the booth. He didn't care. He still don't care. He's the ultimate troll. You think Takashi69 is a troll? No, this man is a troll. He got T.I. out of his hookup. And TI never really get out of his hookup. TI was dropping diss tracks. I think he is the best. I won't say he's the best battle. KW: Good chance. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Rapper, but if when it comes to establishing a beef and winning the majority of them, even he's beefing against Floyd Mayweather. Like, come on, bruh. He no no cares given whatsoever. Fifty Cent is the ultimate beef artist and and every beef that he had I've enjoyed. I I've never seen him go against somebody in a beef that wasn't just fun to to enjoy to watch that you just gotta tune in. Any thoughts? KW: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Great pick. I thought when you said fifty, I'm like always going fifty and jaw rule. But I mean you made a you made a very apropos choice by saying fifty versus everybody because who hasn't fifty beefed with? ⁓ you could almost say the same thing about the game too. The game like loves to jump in beef. ⁓ he just he just loves to do that. But fifty, man, you're right. And then you just said it. He beefed with Floyd, which is like JonBE aka DJ Chill: Everybody. Mm. KW: That's one of my all time favorite internet clips when what was it, the fucking ice bucket challenge and the fifties like, nah, fuck the ice bucket challenge, Floyd. Can you can you can you read a book? Yeah, yeah. Can you read a doc a Harry Potter book? JonBE aka DJ Chill: Read a book challenge. He said, read me He said, read me three pages out the Harry Potter book. KW: cry every time I see that clip, I cry laughing. So I mean JonBE aka DJ Chill: He said Roy. He said this man can't read. Like that that's tough, man. Like, yo. I'm gonna see if I'm gonna see if I can find it, man. So go ahead. Go ahead. KW: ⁓ man, we ⁓ we might have to we might have to pull that clip up for the people. ⁓ but I mean fifty and ja rule was incredible. The whole G unit murder ink beef, like that was that was incredible and it was real. Like those two hate each other to this day. ⁓ it runs deep and like you said, man, fifty is the ultimate troll. JonBE aka DJ Chill: Of course. KW: Petty King, like he'll be doing this until he like they make him shut down his Instagram. Or if there's another social media platform where he can get his shit off, he'll be doing on that too. You know what I mean?
