- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark simone wr.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 0:11Speaker 2: seven ten is a number. Let's go to Ron in Pittsburgh. Ron,
- 0:15Speaker 2: how you doing. I'm good, Mark, how you doing today? Good?
- 0:19Speaker 3: Hey? Love your show.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Hey love Jimmy Feller.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Thank you for that. And Hey, if people complain about Bencon,
- 0:26Speaker 3: please keep him on because I love that guy. Hey,
- 0:29Speaker 3: but I got the thing I wanted to call you about.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I have an idea. How about Cuba is having a
- 0:35Speaker 3: blackout while all the green people take their soul panels
- 0:38Speaker 3: and windmills and get rid of all the power plants.
- 0:40Speaker 3: You show us how they work.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Well, that's a good idea. But the Cuba will be
- 0:46Speaker 2: free at some point, probably this summer. They'll free up
- 0:49Speaker 2: Cuba and then a lot of people will be heading
- 0:51Speaker 2: to Cuba for all kinds of opportunity, lots of lots
- 0:55Speaker 2: of interest in Cuba. Now you can just imagine that
- 0:58Speaker 2: by the fall, you could have a Ran free, no
- 1:02Speaker 2: more dictatorship. Same thing with Cuba. You could have two
- 1:05Speaker 2: of the biggest problems in the world all of a
- 1:07Speaker 2: sudden ended. Let's go to James and Secaucus. James, how
- 1:11Speaker 2: you doing okay?
- 1:13Speaker 5: Mark? I want to ask you. A Fourth of July
- 1:15Speaker 5: is a Saturday, celebrated Friday nine to eleven is Friday.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Chris was in New Year's Friday. Do you think he'll
- 1:21Speaker 5: put that prayer rug out? And if he does, well,
- 1:23Speaker 5: Kathy all will do anything about it?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yeah? Well wait, wait a minute. Fourth of July is
- 1:28Speaker 2: on a Saturday this year.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Yeah, but they celebrated Friday a lot of places.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Oh why would they do that when it's on a Saturday?
- 1:35Speaker 5: Well, anyway, you mean they get we.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Hat Friday off that weekend, not Monday.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yeah, Friday.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I don't like that. We should get Friday and Monday off.
- 1:45Speaker 2: We should get two days.
- 1:46Speaker 5: How you're doing? Get Friday, Saturday, you get Friday, Sunday,
- 1:50Speaker 5: you get Monday.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Now you got me all confused. Who's on first? I
- 1:52Speaker 2: don't know? But anyway, thanks for Colin. Let's go to
- 1:54Speaker 2: Paul and White Plains. Paul, how you doing, Mark?
- 1:58Speaker 6: I'm doing well, but I almost drove off the road
- 2:01Speaker 6: when I heard you say that Trump is going to
- 2:03Speaker 6: agree to allow the Iranians to tax every ship that
- 2:07Speaker 6: goes through.
- 2:08Speaker 2: This not not not not tax. But one thing they
- 2:10Speaker 2: want is a fee. It's not unreasonable. We do that.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Every country does.
- 2:13Speaker 6: That, but but Mark didn't.
- 2:16Speaker 2: We all see it's going to keep going. Every a
- 2:20Speaker 2: lot of countries do it. It's perfectly normal. We do it,
- 2:22Speaker 2: Harbor's do it. Ports do it. It's not unusual.
- 2:26Speaker 6: But isn't it giving them sort of like a little
- 2:30Speaker 6: payback for for what's going on? I mean, it seems
- 2:33Speaker 6: to make no sense.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You know, I could we could keep doing this for
- 2:36Speaker 2: an hour, and you're gonna keep saying that it makes
- 2:38Speaker 2: no sense. I don't. It's again, I'd rather not give
- 2:41Speaker 2: them a fee. I understand your feeling. But it's not
- 2:44Speaker 2: unusual happens, So it's got to be a reasonable fee.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I mean, but a million supports Harbor's countries. As I said, Egypt,
- 2:50Speaker 2: there's a fee that use the Suez Canal. It's done
- 2:53Speaker 2: all the time. You know you you do it, you
- 2:55Speaker 2: go through it yourself. You want to go over the
- 2:57Speaker 2: throgs Neck, you're gonna pay a fee. You'll want to
- 2:59Speaker 2: go through the Lincoln don You're going to pay a fee.
- 3:01Speaker 2: You want to come into Midtown, you're going to pay
- 3:03Speaker 2: a fee. Congestion pricing. Let's go to Mark and Allentown, Mark,
- 3:06Speaker 2: how you doing, Hey.
- 3:09Speaker 7: Good morning. Before I get to my question, uh, my
- 3:12Speaker 7: statement is that I was shocked watching ABC News World
- 3:15Speaker 7: last night. How they covered the poor girl.
- 3:18Speaker 4: That was killed in Chicago and they've said illegal immigrant
- 3:22Speaker 4: a few times.
- 3:23Speaker 7: That really floored me.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Wow, that's a big concession from them. Absolutely, it was
- 3:31Speaker 2: pretty amazing. Yeah, this poor girl was killed by this
- 3:34Speaker 2: illegal immigrant. You see very little coverage of it. Actually. Uh,
- 3:39Speaker 2: you know, if it was the other way around, if
- 3:41Speaker 2: she killed the immigrant, it'd be there'd be protests all
- 3:45Speaker 2: over the street, there'd be riots, would be every but uh,
- 3:48Speaker 2: this is getting very little attention. But good for ABC News.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Maybe they're maybe they're waking up a little. Let's go
- 3:54Speaker 2: to Linda and Pennsylvania. Linda, how you doing.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'm good. I just have a question. Why is there
- 4:02Speaker 1: no outraged over the fact that white is flooding and
- 4:07Speaker 1: SEEMA is not being paid?
- 4:11Speaker 2: Say again, what's flooding?
- 4:13Speaker 1: Okay, Hawaii, what's twenty years?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Oh, Hawaii, Hawaii.
- 4:19Speaker 1: And you hear nothing about FEMA, but yet FEMA is
- 4:23Speaker 1: one of the agencies that's not being paid.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point. Your a very good point.
- 4:27Speaker 2: After this Republican Congress holding this up. If the Republicans
- 4:32Speaker 2: held this up yet, it's all you'll be hearing about
- 4:34Speaker 2: is Hawaii is flooding while FEMA's not being paid. FEMA
- 4:36Speaker 2: is part of a department Homeland Security, not funded at
- 4:39Speaker 2: the moment. Let's go to Dennis in Long Island. Dennis,
- 4:42Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 4:44Speaker 4: Hey, Mark? How you doing?
- 4:45Speaker 3: Mark?
- 4:46Speaker 4: Great show? Mark?
- 4:48Speaker 5: Hey?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Everybody says, like a character from that in nineteen forties movie,
- 4:52Speaker 2: Hey Mark, why.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Are you Mark?
- 4:54Speaker 4: Yeah, Suma wants to tell Schumer wants used to take
- 4:57Speaker 4: their mads go up to identify them. Why do you
- 5:00Speaker 4: into playing field? All protesters cannot wear a mask so
- 5:03Speaker 4: we can identify the bad players.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, well, good idea. They do do that. In some
- 5:09Speaker 2: cities you're not allowed to wear a mask. But the
- 5:11Speaker 2: problem is you could have protesters with no masks and
- 5:16Speaker 2: the Republicans won't bother them, not gonna do anything about it.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But you know the problem with a nice agent is
- 5:20Speaker 2: if he's not wearing a mask. In today's world, you
- 5:23Speaker 2: can take a picture of their face. You can reverse
- 5:26Speaker 2: image search it. You can find out who they are,
- 5:29Speaker 2: You can get their address, you can go on the
- 5:30Speaker 2: internet and do this, get their address, and then Democratic
- 5:34Speaker 2: protesters will go to their house and terrorize their children
- 5:37Speaker 2: and their family, yelling and screaming and causing chaos outside
- 5:41Speaker 2: their house. It's called doxing. You find the address, you
- 5:44Speaker 2: go to the house, and it's just going to be
- 5:48Speaker 2: a nightmare for these families. So that's why they wear masks. Now,
- 5:52Speaker 2: Republicans never do this kind of stuff, never ever ever
- 5:55Speaker 2: do this kind of stuff. They don't surround somebody's house
- 5:58Speaker 2: and try to tear as their kids. So that's the
- 6:01Speaker 2: reason for the masks. They're not wearing masks at airports.
- 6:04Speaker 2: And a lot of people are worried about this, that
- 6:06Speaker 2: they're going to start photographing these ICE agents and start
- 6:08Speaker 2: doing this stuff. So we'll see. Let's go to Joe
- 6:11Speaker 2: and Nutley. Joe, how you doing?
- 6:14Speaker 7: Yeah, Hey, Mark, are you a longtime listener. I just
- 6:18Speaker 7: want to talk about the mid term elections coming up.
- 6:21Speaker 7: I've been hearing so much on even the Republican side,
- 6:25Speaker 7: how the GOP isn't going to do well in the elections,
- 6:28Speaker 7: and frankly, I just can't see how we can't.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Do well well. No, I don't don't fall for a
- 6:33Speaker 2: lot of fake poles being reported. We played the clip
- 6:36Speaker 2: of CNN yesterday where they had a real poll and
- 6:38Speaker 2: they had to admit Democrats are so far underwater, they're
- 6:41Speaker 2: down like fifty five points unders now. But also remember
- 6:45Speaker 2: you can't predict the midterms right now. People love to
- 6:48Speaker 2: do it. They love to predict, they love to guess,
- 6:50Speaker 2: they love to go to the polymarket, see where they gamblers.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It doesn't mean anything. This is like it's like trying
- 6:56Speaker 2: to predict who's going to win the super Bowl in
- 6:58Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight. Your way too far out to know
- 7:01Speaker 2: what's going to happen in the midterms. It's a long
- 7:03Speaker 2: way off now. Some will argue that as you get
- 7:06Speaker 2: into the late summer it gets set. I mean maybe
- 7:09Speaker 2: in the midsummer it starts to get locked in and so.
- 7:12Speaker 2: But but that even the midsummer, you're talking about months
- 7:15Speaker 2: and months away. Get a long way to go. Hey,
- 7:17Speaker 2: when we come back, Roger Friedman will be with us,
- 7:19Speaker 2: the great entertainment reporter. Lots to talk to him about.
- 7:22Speaker 2: We'll do that next on seven ten wor
