- 3:04He's been busy. He was traveling with his family
- 3:07over there to the winter meetings.
- 3:09He's been relaxing and we finally get a man.
- 3:11It's Jabba's man. We are now talking to MLB.com
- 3:14Yankees beat reporter and author of 62 Mr. Brian Hoke.
- 3:20Brian, what's up, buddy? I'm waiting for my.
- 3:22Jerky bee Hoke. It's kind of Santa Claus is
- 3:25bringing it to town. It's coming, I promise.
- 3:28Yeah. Yeah, wow, Jabba, I got to say
- 3:31you you joined the club here, huh?
- 3:33And you know what? You can only pause the 3rd so
- 3:36much B. You know what I'm saying?
- 3:37And it's why why didn't you tell me to join it earlier?
- 3:42Because it's so much easier. Oh yeah, you don't even have to
- 3:44worry about anything anymore. It's great.
- 3:46It's awesome. It takes 2 minutes, you jump in,
- 3:49then you clean the skillet and then you're good.
- 3:51I want to get into the Yankees. The Yankees have been the talk
- 3:54of New York. Well, actually, you haven't been
- 3:56in. The Mets have been a talk in New
- 3:57York. The Yankees have been no talk
- 3:59because the Yankees haven't done anything.
- 4:01It seems like Cody Bellinger is still a free agent.
- 4:05The Yankees lost Devin Williams to the Mets.
- 4:07The Yankees are still still trying to figure out who their
- 4:10closer is going to be. Are they going to add a Japanese
- 4:13pitcher? Are they going to go after
- 4:15Tucker? Are they going to sign Cody
- 4:17Bellinger? Are they going to make a trade
- 4:18for Bryce Harper? I don't know, Brian, what's
- 4:21going on with the Yankees? Well, I was going to say we
- 4:23don't have much to talk about, but you just covered plenty
- 4:26right there. And so, yeah, they haven't done
- 4:28much from outside. And I don't know where you want
- 4:30to start here, but let's start with Bellinger.
- 4:33He's their top priority. They want to bring him back.
- 4:35There's like 1000 reasons they should bring him back.
- 4:38And I just feel like they're, they're not going to come in
- 4:41with the top bid. And when you have Scott Boris as
- 4:43your, your agent, you're going to take every dollar that's on
- 4:46the table. And so I, I feel like Bellinger
- 4:48for the Yankees is a guy they want back.
- 4:51They should have back. But I feel like, I feel like if
- 4:54I'm a Yankee fan, I'm preparing right now to watch him go across
- 4:57town because that seems to be the MO of this offseason.
- 5:00Is that everybody trades their pinstripes and goes and suits up
- 5:04for Steve Cohen and puts on some orange and blue.
- 5:07So you asked me about 1000 more questions.
- 5:09Let's get to the other ones. No be like for me like going
- 5:15through these things and seeing kind of what has happened and
- 5:18what hasn't happened. Do you think the fear of them
- 5:23not signing a lot of these guys where we thought there would be
- 5:25some more stuff going? Do you think the fear of a
- 5:29stoppage is kind of slowing these guys down or not?
- 5:33I'm not sure to be honest with you, because you see guys
- 5:36signing all around the league, so I think that there's movement
- 5:40all around the league. So I can't say that it's because
- 5:43of that. I think that of course we all
- 5:45know that that is a possibility that's out there, but I feel
- 5:49like if you're a free agent right now in this market, you
- 5:51want to get paid no, no matter what's going to happen in 2027.
- 5:55So these guys are going to have to get their contrast because
- 5:57they got another year to go between them and they got bills
- 5:59to pay just like the rest of us. They just happen to be bigger
- 6:02than the rest of us, right? So there's even more motivation
- 6:05to to go get that money. But you asked about EMI, and I
- 6:08think that's a really interesting way the Yankees can
- 6:11go here because if Bellinger signs with Mets or whoever
- 6:15tomorrow, I think their move is to pivot to pitching.
- 6:18I think that this is a team that scored the most runs in a majors
- 6:21last year. They crush a bunch of home runs.
- 6:23They would score plenty of runs with or without Bellinger.
- 6:27You give Jason Dominguez a chance to show what he can do in
- 6:29left field. And I think where the Yankees
- 6:32really failed last year, where they fell short, was on the
- 6:35pitching side. And I think that when you can do
- 6:37it, you bring in an EMI. Even if you don't, you still
- 6:40have arguably the best rotation in baseball.
- 6:43You can bulk up the bullpen, too.
- 6:44I think that's what the Yankees would do.
- 6:46They'd have some money to spend if they don't bring back
- 6:48Bellinger and you bulk up that bullpen.
- 6:50David Bednar's probably their closer right now, but it's a
- 6:53little thin behind him. Camille Duvall is kind of a
- 6:56project. Tim Hill is a nice lefty guy,
- 6:59but I I think they could bulk that up in the back innings.
- 7:02What about the trade market for the Yankees?
- 7:03Because we're we're not going to hearing it as much because of
- 7:05the Mets versus the Red Sox and all these other teams that have
- 7:07the bigger prospect pools. But the Yankees, obviously with
- 7:09the emergence of a lot of the young pitching they had last
- 7:10year, especially with Schlittler, maybe there's some
- 7:12leeway to trade one of the other guys in their rotation.
- 7:15Will Warren maybe even heal in a bigger deal?
- 7:17What are you hearing from the Yankees trade market
- 7:19perspective? Yeah, absolutely.
- 7:21They're getting hits on all those guys.
- 7:23I don't think Schlittler's somebody that they're looking to
- 7:25trade. They possibly could do that in
- 7:27the right deal. I think Spencer Jones, the guy
- 7:29they're getting a ton of hits on right now because teams are
- 7:32trying to figure out with Jason Dominguez as well too.
- 7:35What we talked about there. What is their plan with
- 7:37Dominguez, with Jones? If you do bring back Bellinger,
- 7:40you can't keep them all. I mean, it does nobody any good
- 7:43to have Dominguez sitting on the bench for another season, which
- 7:46is basically what he did in the second-half in last year going
- 7:49into the playoffs. So I there's some questions
- 7:51there with the Yankees that what are they exactly?
- 7:54Are they going to do? Jazz Chisholm has been hit on in
- 7:56trade talks. He's in his final year of
- 7:58arbitration. Do they see him as their second
- 8:01baseman of the future or is he a guy that they could cash in if
- 8:05they get the right deal coming their way?
- 8:07And certainly you don't want to give up on Jazz.
- 8:09He's a 3030 second baseman who could possibly be 4040 for you
- 8:13if everything breaks right. But I mean, he's got value.
- 8:16And if they were going to make a major move with a contending
- 8:19Dean, probably then he would be one of their biggest chips.
- 8:22So I I don't necessarily see that one happening.
- 8:24But the guys you mentioned there heal Warren Schlittler.
- 8:28If the right move came along, I think you would think about it.
- 8:31You brought up something about Dominguez and Spencer Jones,
- 8:35right? And I think they're very equal
- 8:37in what they what they are. But Dominguez you've seen in the
- 8:41big leagues, Why didn't Spencer Jones get that opportunity?
- 8:44Because you obviously looked at like his value of what he was
- 8:48when he got to AAA, right? And they wanted to move to being
- 8:52as faster. And we've kind of seen what he's
- 8:54done in the big leagues. Why do you think that they
- 8:57didn't give Spencer Jones or bring him up at the end?
- 9:00Because it may have changed. We've all seen this where
- 9:03sometimes change of scenery makes it better.
- 9:06And he stayed there being the Martian and what he is now if
- 9:10you give Spencer Jones that chance.
- 9:12So do you think there's do you think they have value over one
- 9:16or the other? The only reason I would see it
- 9:19personally is the fact that he's played in the big leagues and
- 9:22not been what they thought he was.
- 9:24But you never had an opportunity to see what Spencer Jones is.
- 9:28Right. You know, it's funny that Brian
- 9:30Cashman did talk about that at the winter meetings.
- 9:31He said they talked about and thought about the idea that
- 9:35Dominguez wasn't playing. And look at how where outfield
- 9:37was last year, Judge was MVP, Trent Grisham was in the middle
- 9:41of a career year, Bellinger was doing great in left field.
- 9:44So there really weren't the at bats there for Dominguez to
- 9:47really get much playing time. And so they actually did talk
- 9:50about sending him down and they thought that it wouldn't be fair
- 9:53to him because it wasn't his fault.
- 9:55It wasn't like he played his way out of a job.
- 9:57It was basically they just couldn't justify playing him
- 10:00over the guys that I just mentioned.
- 10:01So maybe if the landscapes a little different, they could do
- 10:04that. And I think that with Jones,
- 10:06that was the same deal. You weren't going to call him up
- 10:08just to sit on the bench. Don't have a 40 man roster
- 10:11expansion, you got 28. So you really do have to kind of
- 10:15be selective and take the guys who can help you.
- 10:17And if Jones is going to sit on the bench all week and get one
- 10:20or two at bats a week, and you're taking away development
- 10:22time from a guy who did make some strides last year.
- 10:25He cut down on the strikeouts. The defense is pretty good, but
- 10:28he's still got room to to grow. And I, I won't be shocked if he
- 10:31begins the year in AAA again and then has to get called up later
- 10:35in the year. But I also wouldn't rule out the
- 10:38idea that he can make this team out of spring training because
- 10:40we saw it three years ago with Anthony Volpe.
- 10:43Nobody gave him a shot to be the opening day shortstop.
- 10:45And I know that it hasn't worked out as great as everybody
- 10:48thought it would then. But he came in, he tore it up in
- 10:51spring training. He was undeniable and they would
- 10:54have looked ridiculous sending him down.
- 10:56So I think if Jones has that kind of spring, he can make this
- 10:58team. Brian, you you look, you
- 11:00mentioned Anthony Volpe and a lot of people don't.
- 11:03There's a lot of fans out there that have gone out going after
- 11:06the Yankees and said move them, trade him, get rid of them.
- 11:08And I do believe he's still fairly young.
- 11:11He's 2324 years old, still has a lot of baseball left.
- 11:14The guy put up some power numbers.
- 11:16He had over 20 home runs at the shortstop position.
- 11:19Not many shortstops do that in the league.
- 11:21I know he's not hitting for average.
- 11:22I think he I think he was batting 2O5.
- 11:25He was batting in the ones at some point this year.
- 11:28He hasn't been good, OK, as far as offensively and he was one of
- 11:31the worst. He had one of the worst
- 11:32defensive years we've ever seen a player have since Chuck
- 11:35Noblock. OK, He hasn't been good, OK, But
- 11:39I do believe that Anthony Volpe has a lot of opportunity to to
- 11:44figure things out and still become the player that the
- 11:47Yankees believed he was going to be.
- 11:49He was a high draft pick. He has the ability to be a great
- 11:53an elite defender and he still has pop in his bat.
- 11:56Do you think the the Yankees are pushing away or pushing away
- 12:00from him and maybe decide let's move away from a let's trade
- 12:03him, let him, let's send him somewhere else.
- 12:05And do we go after a guy like Bichette who has been
- 12:08successful, that has the power that comes from the pedigree.
- 12:11His father was a sensational player.
- 12:14Do you think they go after a superstar like that?
- 12:16Nobody. Said he wants to move to second
- 12:17base and you're not just, you're not going.
- 12:19To. Move money.
- 12:20You're not going to move a 30. You're not going to move a 3030
- 12:22guy from second base because they tried him at third base.
- 12:24They're not going to move. They're not going to get a
- 12:26Pachette and move Jazz unless they move him.
- 12:29They're not going to do. It money talks and and it's all.
- 12:31About it does, but you're not going to move a 3030 guy unless
- 12:34you get something. I just believe that when with
- 12:37the Yankees, they're all about superstars over the years.
- 12:39Now, I don't know if Hal's thinking that way because he's
- 12:42not his his father George, but if it was George Steinbrenner, I
- 12:46could see them going after Pachette and trying to spin the
- 12:48wheel. But.
- 12:49You you hate jazz Chism, but I. Don't they don't like super?
- 12:53Is a superstar in his own right for what he's done.
- 12:56Bichette has never been Jazz Chisholm.
- 12:58Let's just look at it. Yeah, he led the league in hits,
- 13:00but he he's never been a 3030 guy.
- 13:03Again, he also didn't play in Yankee Stadium and Jazz Chisholm
- 13:06before he you. Still got to hit the ball, man.
- 13:09Yeah, he's, he played in Miami. He was all right in Miami.
- 13:12He comes to Yankee Stadium. It's all thirty home runs.
- 13:14You're going to tell me that Bichette comes to get to Yankee
- 13:16Stadium? He's not going to hit over 30
- 13:18home runs. The guy's got popping his bat.
- 13:20He plays with the Blue Jays. He plays in Toronto.
- 13:22That's not a hitting ballpark. Come on man, you're going to
- 13:25tell me that if. Well, it depends on if the roof
- 13:27is closed or not. I'm just saying, you're going to
- 13:30tell me that Bichette can't hit 30?
- 13:32He can't hit 40 over there in Yankee Stadium.
- 13:34Look at the short porch. I think you can hit 30, Jabba.
- 13:37I mean, seriously, I might see that.
- 13:40It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous to say, well,
- 13:43Jazz Chisholm or Chisholm, whatever you want to call him.
- 13:46Oh, he's a superstar in his own right.
- 13:48I think he's one of the most overrated players at his
- 13:51position and all he does does his yap, yap, yap, and he wears
- 13:54his stick chains and he shows off on and off the field.
- 13:57Well, guess what? Do it in the playoffs because to
- 13:59me he was a choke or a choke artist against the Blue Jays.
- 14:03He didn't show up in that series.
- 14:05And one of the reasons why the Yankees couldn't get over the
- 14:07hump against the Blue Jays was because of the old jazzy baby.
- 14:11That's what I think. Guys, this sounds like my
- 14:13Twitter mentions during the postseason last year.
- 14:15You guys, I've heard all this before.
- 14:18I've read it all before. I'm a I'm a Jazz Chism fan.
- 14:21I I know what he adds to the Yankee dynamic there.
- 14:24I like the the energy. I think it's something to where
- 14:27the clubhouse needs a player like that who can stir things
- 14:30up. And as a beat reporter covering
- 14:32this team, I love a guy who speaks his mind and does though
- 14:35without a filter. So no, I'm a big Jazz fan and
- 14:38you know, I got a lot of heat As for suggesting what I just said
- 14:42earlier here that the Yankees could entertain trading him and
- 14:45and of course, Frank Ashman confirmed that.
- 14:48But a lot of people were saying, oh, you hate Jazz because XYZ is
- 14:52no way. I'm just telling you what's
- 14:54happening, guys. And so to go back to your thing
- 14:56about Bichette, you know, I was talking to people in Toronto.
- 14:59I was covering the ALCS last year because I had to go up and
- 15:02do that Seattle Toronto series. And I was kind of poking around
- 15:05a little bit there and I asked, first of all, people in the Blue
- 15:10Jays, they think Bichettes coming back, but they also think
- 15:13if he went to the Yankees, he'd be a great fit there.
- 15:15He'd be a great fit in Yankee Stadium, in the clubhouse.
- 15:18His power numbers would go up in the Bronx.
- 15:21The the problem I would have with him bringing him in is
- 15:23defensively, he's not your shortstop.
- 15:25And I know Volpe had trouble defensively last year, but you
- 15:29can see where he would get better with better health
- 15:33because Shet needs to get moved off of shortstop.
- 15:35So you you're talking about him as a third baseman or a second
- 15:38baseman as we talked about there.
- 15:39Yankees are set at second base with Jazz for at least one more
- 15:42year. And don't forget they traded for
- 15:44Ryan McMahon and that's fifteen, $16,000,000.
- 15:47That's significant. It's not like you have Oswaldo
- 15:49Cabrera at 3rd and you can just move him off there.
- 15:51So I, I feel like the Yankees are just kind of too, too top
- 15:55heavy to bring in somebody like that without moving something
- 15:58off I. Want to ask about the veteran
- 16:00pictures now with with Rodon and also with Garrett Cole coming
- 16:02back. He had missed the entire season
- 16:04last year and then Rodon had a Goodyear strikeouts.
- 16:07Why? He's probably his best year as a
- 16:08Yankee, but still has been kind of up and down in his career.
- 16:10Like, could you see the Yankees potentially look if they maybe
- 16:13have a down year at the trade deadline or anything like that,
- 16:16shopping one of them or even like one of these trades in a
- 16:18bigger deal, a bigger. Trade.
- 16:20We're talking about moving Carlos Rodon.
- 16:23At that contract right right now or if that's the deadline you
- 16:26think? I don't know.
- 16:28It's a pretty significant contract.
- 16:29I mean, I I guess he has value. And yeah, you never say never,
- 16:33but that's The thing is that to to move these guys to move if
- 16:38you wanted to a Garrett Cole or a Carlos Rodon or a Max Freed,
- 16:41which of course you're not going to do.
- 16:42But to do that, there's so much weight on that and there's a
- 16:45very small list of teams that could even take on that kind of
- 16:48contract without going underwater.
- 16:51And so, no, I don't see it. I think that more likely if the
- 16:55Yankees needed to make a trade and they were trying to offload
- 16:58some pitching, it would be the younger guys, the guys under
- 17:00control, the guys who are more flexible there.
- 17:02There's Cam Schlittler, Louise Heel, you know, Will Warren.
- 17:07I think that any one of those guys way more likely than seeing
- 17:11Carlos Rodon. No, I think Rodon stays in the
- 17:14Bronx, probably for his entire contractor.
- 17:16Brian, look at Jabba was trying to put his hat on his head, the
- 17:19hat that he used to wear that he's trying.
- 17:23His sweat and all the other well in my bald skillet right now.
- 17:26Like you can't get a hat on as good as.
- 17:28You stop, Jabba, your hair, your mug just got bigger.
- 17:31That's what it was. No, it's literally it's the same
- 17:35size. But when we when we, when you
- 17:38talk about pitchers, right? And it's so they moved Antonio
- 17:42Gomez from catcher to pitcher, right?
- 17:44And we're talking about prospects too.
- 17:47And, and what you brought up a little bit earlier and a guy
- 17:50that moved in, do they see like trading pieces?
- 17:53And obviously we talked about Jones, but then you got another
- 17:56guy in Carlos Grange and what he's done too.
- 17:59And there's leverage in that. And granted, there the farm
- 18:03system isn't is great, but they have great pieces to it.
- 18:07Are they willing? Like I know Cam's probably he
- 18:09he's proven that that his value because he's done it at the big
- 18:13league level. And when you you, you know this
- 18:16as well as I do. If you're going to make a trade
- 18:19to get prospects, you want a big league ready guy, sure.
- 18:23But if you're going to get a guy that you moved with the
- 18:26potential from catcher to like, let's lose Kenley for an
- 18:29example. He was a catcher and look what
- 18:33he's done. He he's going to.
- 18:34Work out pretty well. He wasn't.
- 18:36He was my catcher in Hawaii. Is that right?
- 18:38I didn't know that. Yeah, and he couldn't hit where
- 18:41the lick. Yeah, look how it turned out.
- 18:46But you move a guy like Gomez and don't know what you're
- 18:49really going to get because he's just, but he's throwing 100.
- 18:52And then you have Carlos who's done what he's done and have
- 18:55some good secondary stuff. Needs to be more efficient with
- 18:57it. And I loved watching his videos
- 18:59because stature, it plays, right?
- 19:01It plays. I like him a lot.
- 19:03I, I got to see him a little bit in spring training and that's
- 19:06legit. He's raw.
- 19:07He he's got to grow into his body a little bit, but the
- 19:10confidence is there, the swagger.
- 19:11I really like that kid. And I think that if he comes
- 19:14into spring training this year, he's going to open a lot of eyes
- 19:16and I think people are going to know his name.
- 19:18And are they, are they willing to even entertain that at that
- 19:21point or, or do they want to keep those, those aspects of
- 19:26what they kind of have now compared to like, because if you
- 19:30want to get better, you got to take a chance.
- 19:32And you've seen when we've been successful in this organization
- 19:36is you got to take chance of people like, and that's not
- 19:39through free agency because we've seen how that's worked and
- 19:43it has worked in some aspects. But when you create like
- 19:47dynasties and you create like what the concept of the team is
- 19:52and you've built them from there, like, do you think they
- 19:55would entertain any of those guys even being in the?
- 19:57Conversation. How many times did you get
- 20:00mentioned in trade rumors? Around 2. 1000.
- 20:03Every year. Yeah, exactly.
- 20:05So, yeah. Would they entertain it?
- 20:06Sure. But I also remember a certain
- 20:08guy came up in O 7 and was the most lights out reliever I've
- 20:12ever seen, and he was basically Joe Torry's cheat code.
- 20:14So that's what you could get with a guy like Carlos LaGrange.
- 20:18I I think that, yeah, you have to kind of weigh that and say,
- 20:21all right, he could bring back X or we can use him for our own
- 20:25purposes here. For a guy who's, I mean,
- 20:27everybody throws so hard now. So it's not to say a guy's
- 20:30throwing 98 is not really all that novel anymore, but I mean,
- 20:34it moves and it's legit. And he's got a different look.
- 20:36I can't really explain what it is, but when you see it, it's
- 20:40just like, oh, you, you pay attention because, I mean, you
- 20:43don't have spring training goes. You're seeing games with seven
- 20:45guys on the mound for each team, and it's like they all kind of
- 20:48blur together. He stood out.
- 20:50And so I want to see more of him.
- 20:51But you, you, you bring up something that that I've touched
- 20:54on all the time. I think analyticals are very
- 20:57important. But you covered me when it
- 21:00happened. And they put Jean Michael, they
- 21:05put Billy Eppler, Brian Cashman, Reggie Jackson, all these people
- 21:08to put eyes on what it is. You can see what it is.
- 21:12But you've covered baseball. And I don't give a damn what
- 21:16anybody says. Men and women that cover the
- 21:19game of baseball, they see things differently.
- 21:22And like, if you see something, you can't quantify what it is,
- 21:26but you see what it is. But if you don't put that and
- 21:29just rely on what what you think and you haven't been wrong very
- 21:34often. I'm wrong sometimes?
- 21:37Yeah, well, we all are. But when it comes to like
- 21:40certain things, like the eye on the prize of what you think they
- 21:45can do, how you seen things progress, it's do you want to
- 21:51give up on that or do you want to ride that out?
- 21:53And I think that's kind of where where you're looking at.
- 21:55It's like, do you want to give up on that or do you kind of
- 21:58want to build something going forward?
- 22:00Totally. I, I think that building from
- 22:02within is always what you want to do, especially when you have
- 22:04an owner who's talking about it would be ideal to lower payroll
- 22:07and he's uncomfortable being a 319 and blah, blah, blah, blah,
- 22:10blah. And we can talk about, you know,
- 22:12his statement about do the Yankees actually make a profit?
- 22:15If they don't, then I don't know what we're doing here.
- 22:17But I, I think that can they be a World Series team from
- 22:23building from within. I think some of these pieces
- 22:26actually can help them. And look, because I don't see
- 22:28them right now with the Dodgers. And I was on another show I
- 22:31think 2 days ago and they, they said, what's the one move the
- 22:34Yankees could make to, to make them a World Series championship
- 22:38team. And I, I look at this free agent
- 22:39market. I can't tell you I, I can't tell
- 22:41you that signing Cody Bellinger or Kyle Tucker makes them a
- 22:44World Series favorite because look how stacked that Dodger
- 22:47team is. First, the first thing first is
- 22:49I need to see them go head to head with the Blue Jays and take
- 22:51care of business because Toronto is better, Boston is getting
- 22:56better, Baltimore just signed Pete Alonso, they're getting
- 22:58better. So I mean, the AL East is always
- 23:01going to be really, really good. And the Yankees right now
- 23:03haven't done anything to improve themselves.
- 23:05So maybe one way that you can do that, if you got a kid with
- 23:08lightning in his arm like Carlos LaGrange out down there, maybe
- 23:11you don't have them on opening day, you get them on July,
- 23:14whatever. Maybe that makes a big
- 23:16difference for you in the Pennant race.
- 23:17Do you think? But you think they hold on to
- 23:19them too, and the same. And you know this as well as I
- 23:21do. Do you think they wait till that
- 23:24threshold where it starts his clock?
- 23:27That's always, it's always part of it, right?
- 23:29I mean, you always got to think about that.
- 23:31And that is, I mean, that's what they do behind the scenes and
- 23:34that's part of the calculation that goes on there.
- 23:36But I would I would just look at is the innings pitch for him and
- 23:38he's so raw like that. That was the one thing that I
- 23:42saw with him in spring training last year.
- 23:44And I'm sure you had a whole year of development time since
- 23:46then, but you could just tell there was lightning, there was
- 23:50Thunder in that arm. But he needed time to Polish.
- 23:53And and part of that is just facing hitters more and more.
- 23:55I mean, he he's a baby. And you, you get that when you
- 23:58talk to him. You get those kind of bright
- 23:59eyes and the wide eyes. I saw that from you.
- 24:02I think. Where are we?
- 24:03The Futures Game in San Francisco.
- 24:05Remember that? That was actually the first time
- 24:07I met you. And so, yeah, I remember coming
- 24:10away from that and being like that.
- 24:11Kids going to come to the big leagues one day and he's going
- 24:13to be something. We are.
- 24:14It was only a month and a half later.
- 24:17I didn't think you were coming up that soon, but I I said I'm
- 24:20going to watch you. We are talking to mlb.com's
- 24:24Yankee beat reporter and author of 62, Brian Hoke.
- 24:27Brian, I just want to say I I want to go through a couple of
- 24:30things and I don't want to keep you on too much longer there.
- 24:34There's two things that I really wanted to get into when you were
- 24:36at the Winter Meetings and the Mets decided to let Edwin Diaz
- 24:41go. Whatever was going on with the
- 24:43the Mets organization and the Pete Alonzo thing, him signing
- 24:46with the Orioles, Was there anything that happened after the
- 24:50fact where there were people wondering what the Mets were
- 24:54doing? Was there anything that you saw
- 24:56at the winter meetings that made you think, are the Mets actually
- 25:01doing the right thing for the organization?
- 25:02Was, did it make you think that they, that the, the Mets weren't
- 25:06in the same place or the same position that they've been in
- 25:09every single year with an owner that will spend money after
- 25:12money after money after money and just continuously throw
- 25:17money out there? And all of a sudden over the
- 25:19last, the last, I don't know, last couple of weeks decide to
- 25:24let their star pitcher, their star relief pitcher to go to
- 25:27the, the, the Dodgers. And it was the one weakness the
- 25:30Dodgers have. He goes over there and then Pete
- 25:32Alonso goes in the American League East to play with the
- 25:34Orioles. Was there anything that you saw
- 25:37that made you think that the Mets are just not in the same
- 25:40place they were over the last couple of years?
- 25:43I'll put it to you this way. What the Mets are to me right
- 25:46now is a beautiful mansion where the basement keeps flooding and
- 25:51and some at some point you just have to say we have to tear this
- 25:55down and we have to fix it and we have to fix the flood because
- 25:57it keeps coming. And so every year you look at it
- 26:00from afar and you say that should really be great that
- 26:03that's going to be, that is a beautiful house.
- 26:05And then every time it rains, it floods.
- 26:07And that's what you see with the the Mets.
- 26:09And so I think that they did definitely have some issues in
- 26:13their clubhouse. And you hear about the things
- 26:14going on between Lindor and Nimmo and you know, I think that
- 26:19Diaz, I mean, why are these guys not trying to come back?
- 26:22And so I think it makes you question what exactly is going
- 26:26on behind closed doors with the Mets.
- 26:28And maybe they need change the scenery guys.
- 26:30And maybe there's a reason they keep poaching players from the
- 26:33Yankees who have been through New York and and can handle the
- 26:36spotlight there. And they're trying to bring in
- 26:38some more of that kind of attitude.
- 26:40And I don't want to say it's all one sided because the the
- 26:42Yankees have been picking up Met guys too.
- 26:45One of their signings this offseason is I'm Ed Rosario, who
- 26:48played across town. So I think it goes both ways.
- 26:50I think that when you're GM of a New York team, if a guy has
- 26:54played in a major market, if he's played in Chicago, LA, New
- 26:58York, I think that kind of carries a little extra weight
- 27:01for you. And that's brings me right back
- 27:03to Cody Bellinger, who has played in all three of those.
- 27:05So there's a ton of teams that I think would be interested in a
- 27:09player like that because he's proven himself on a big stage.
- 27:12And so I just feel like with the Mets, yeah, you got unlimited
- 27:15funds. You can go get pretty much
- 27:17anybody you want, but it hasn't worked out yet.
- 27:20And I know Steve Cohen wants to and intends to bring a World
- 27:24Series championship to New York. He just got his big casino deal
- 27:27right next to City Field. So that he's trying to make that
- 27:29a destination where the the chop chops were and all that.
- 27:33And so we'll see. We'll see.
- 27:35I mean, but I think what it does prove more than anything is you
- 27:38can't just throw your wallet at it.
- 27:39And that's takes me back to what the Yankees been doing for
- 27:42almost 20 years now is they've been spending a lot of money
- 27:45with not a lot to show for it. And I mean, they make the
- 27:47playoffs all the time, but they haven't been able to get that
- 27:50title. And I think that it proves that
- 27:52it's just not as easy as you think it's going to be.
- 27:54Jeff Kent, he's inducted to the Hall of Fame.
- 27:56Well deserved. Don Mattingly is a guy that I
- 28:00absolutely adore, is my favorite player growing up.
- 28:02Jabba knows that. Everybody that listens to the
- 28:04show knows that. Don Mattingly.
- 28:06I believe Don Manley should have been in the Hall of Fame a long
- 28:08time ago. He's obviously not.
- 28:11And now he has to wait until 2028 to possibly be inducted to
- 28:15the Hall of Fame. And also, Keith Hernandez should
- 28:19be in the Hall of Fame, one of the greatest first defensive
- 28:21first baseman of all time. Do you think at any point of the
- 28:25next 15 years, both these guys are going to see the Hall of
- 28:28Fame? We're talking about Mattingly
- 28:31and Hernandez. Hernandez, yes.
- 28:34I got to say I was actually on duty for the the announcement on
- 28:39Sunday and I had about 750 words ready to go.
- 28:42Donnie Baseball, he's in the Hall of Fame and here it is and
- 28:44XYZ and here's his whole career. And so I was as surprised as
- 28:48anybody. I thought Mattingly was going to
- 28:50get in. I thought maybe Jill Murphy
- 28:51would get in out of that group. And so I did not have Jeff Kent
- 28:55on my radar. And I don't have an argument
- 28:57with Jeff Kent. Great power hitting second
- 28:59baseman, more home runs than any other second baseman.
- 29:02But yeah, Donnie baseball, I mean, that peak from 1984 to
- 29:061989, that was just, I mean, he was the best player in the game.
- 29:09And so I think that it deserves another look.
- 29:13I'm surprised he didn't get as much support as he did.
- 29:16But I also put it to, I put it this way, if you ran for mayor
- 29:20of your town now 14 times and you didn't get elected mayor 14
- 29:24times, maybe you're just not going to be the mayor.
- 29:26Maybe that's just not going to be it.
- 29:28And so I think that I'm sure Donnie has had that thought.
- 29:32I'm sure he's disappointed. A lot of fans are.
- 29:35But I think that also you have to be realistic and say if it
- 29:38doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.
- 29:40And he's in Monument Park. He's a great Yankee.
- 29:42It doesn't take away anything that it did.
- 29:44Would it be awesome and would the Hall of Fame be a better
- 29:46place if Don Mattingly was in it?
- 29:48I think so. I I think having him as a
- 29:50representative would be great for the Hall, but not up to me.
- 29:53And so, yeah, I think that you got to be realistic.
- 29:57It's your. First vote this.
- 29:59Year. What's that?
- 30:00You got your first vote this year.
- 30:02I do, yeah. And who would you vote for Java?
- 30:07And no, and, and I first of all, that'll never happen to me.
- 30:11But in, in, I've known you for a long time and we've gotten to
- 30:15know each other on a different level and which I'm very
- 30:18thankful for. And I know you take pride.
- 30:22Buttering me up for that beef jerky, man.
- 30:25Well, I'm going to get it either way, Dang it.
- 30:28But and I, I know what that means to you, because at the end
- 30:31of the day, it's, it's, it's what we stand for.
- 30:33It's like you work hard for it, but you also care about it,
- 30:36like, and you care about like what is better for the game
- 30:40because so one thing we've talked about when you've had to
- 30:43cover bad stories of me and, and it's like, I didn't want to do
- 30:47it, but it's like, I've got to be the best at what I can do,
- 30:49right? And, and for me and the guys
- 30:53that we've obviously been encountering with that, that we
- 30:56are still great friends with that I'm always been honest with
- 30:59you guys. And, and that's the one thing
- 31:03where like I've always loved you because it's like you care about
- 31:08the game. This isn't about you.
- 31:10And it's like, I, I'm going to do what I think is right.
- 31:13Obviously, you never played the game at that level, which that
- 31:18is neither here nor there, but you are somebody that is valued
- 31:21in this game more than you realize.
- 31:25And when you get that vote and when you say it to that extent
- 31:29and and like how much that means to you when you got when you got
- 31:32that. And it's like when we get that
- 31:35phone call, right? When we get that phone call to
- 31:37get to the big leagues. And you've done this a long
- 31:40time. But when you've earned that
- 31:43right to have that vote, like, what does that mean to you in
- 31:47your career? Oh man.
- 31:49Well, first of all, thank you. I appreciate it.
- 31:52And you know, what we appreciated with you, Jabba, was
- 31:55always that you were a stand up guy.
- 31:56I mean, when it was good, when it was bad, I mean that that's
- 31:58really all we ask is just be accountable.
- 32:01And so you were always that and you you said what was on your
- 32:05mind and you didn't hide things, you didn't lie.
- 32:07And I mean, we, we appreciated it.
- 32:10I mean, that's you know, so I mean, no, there's no rule that
- 32:13says you got to stand at your locker and and talk to the ten
- 32:16of us after a game or whatever, but we appreciated that you did
- 32:18it. And so as far as getting that,
- 32:22yeah, it was cool. It was great.
- 32:24I mean, it's something that I never dreamed of.
- 32:26I grew up loving baseball, you know, since I was 7-8 years old.
- 32:29And you know, I didn't, I never thought I was going to play in
- 32:32the big leagues. And you know, I hoped I would be
- 32:34able to get into a press box 1 day and write about it and tell,
- 32:37tell your story and tell other guys stories.
- 32:39And so I hope I did that well over my time.
- 32:42And I'm still going. So I'm not retiring or anything.
- 32:45And so, but it is cool to know that I, I feel like it is a
- 32:49badge of honor. It is just to be able to, you
- 32:53know, just because my say doesn't mean everything.
- 32:57I mean, there's 405 hundred people voting, but to just have
- 33:00a little piece of it and to put my like finger on the scale and
- 33:04say. Will you post yours?
- 33:06Yeah, I'll do it. I'll do it.
- 33:07I'm not ready yet. I I think I'm ready in my mind,
- 33:10but I haven't sent it. And so I will.
- 33:13But yeah, I think it's an interesting ballot.
- 33:16It is. And so I I'll give you a sneak
- 33:19peek is that I always said before I got my vote, I said I
- 33:23would have voted for Barry Bonds.
- 33:24I would have voted for Rodger Clemens.
- 33:26So I think you can kind of make a connection that a rod will get
- 33:30a yes on my my ballot. Manny will too, because I think
- 33:32that the cats out, you know, I I think that the door is open
- 33:38already and so I think there's already guys in there who
- 33:41probably did a thing or two also.
- 33:43So I don't, I, I have an idea of where I'm going with it, but
- 33:47I'll I'll definitely give you more detail when it when it goes
- 33:50in the mail my. My last question, I want to
- 33:52mention it because I've, I've been in the Baseball Hall of
- 33:54Fame and it was so elaborate because of its history.
- 33:56There, you've been in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
- 33:59I know what. Visited there 13.
- 34:00Years OK Visit OK. I went there and like, because
- 34:03it closed early, I couldn't even finish it because baseball is
- 34:05such an elaborate history too. And you you would think in like
- 34:08a sport of controversy, like they would want to embrace it
- 34:10more. We talked about it last year
- 34:11when Pete Rose passed away, like he never got in.
- 34:13And then he gets in on the senior ballot.
- 34:14And even going before that too, with guys like Shoeless Joe
- 34:17Jackson, some of those controversies you saw throughout
- 34:19history and you just mentioned it with Barry Bonds.
- 34:21It was steroids. Like it like he's probably a
- 34:23Hall of Famer with he's definitely a Hall of Famer
- 34:25without steroids and seven. 160 two home runs.
- 34:28Yeah, he better be. Yeah, and even before steroids.
- 34:30He had Pittsburgh Barry Bonds. Stolen base and stuff like that
- 34:33too. So, like, do you think the sport
- 34:35and like the Hall of Fame is just trying to avoid the
- 34:37controversy or does it sound like it's more hypocritical?
- 34:40Well, no, I mean, in Bond's case, he was on the ballot for
- 34:4310 years. It was the writers who didn't
- 34:44put him in. And now you have that other
- 34:47committee that did not select him and Clemens.
- 34:49So I think that there's a lot of old school people still.
- 34:54I think that the voting contingent is getting younger.
- 34:57I can, I can definitely say that.
- 34:59And that I think I know there's a new influx of people because
- 35:02the reason I didn't have a vote until now, there was a rule you
- 35:06had to cover baseball for 10 years.
- 35:08And as Java knows, I started covering the Yankees in O 7.
- 35:11So if you do the math, wait, it's 2017.
- 35:14But they didn't let Internet people in until 2015.
- 35:18And so we were thought of as less than, you know, back when
- 35:21the Internet was a fad, I guess that they weren't sure was going
- 35:25to take off. So anyway, it took until 2015.
- 35:28Things move slowly in baseball. And so.
- 35:31So yeah, I definitely put in more than 10 years to waiting
- 35:34for it. But it was good to get finally
- 35:37get that in the mail. Do you think they'll be though
- 35:39on, on the same, same realm of, of like now when it changed to
- 35:44that 10 year mark of, of actually covering it And then
- 35:47when they moved from like the media side to actually like you
- 35:50guys are valued in what you do. Do you think there should be a,
- 35:56a caveat to that to where you have like obviously the MVP, but
- 36:01you have like the player's choice MVP and you have, do you
- 36:04think retired players in that have played against these guys?
- 36:09Do you think there should be value in, in their opinion or
- 36:12their vote as well? And where do you think that fits
- 36:15into the Hall of Fame committee? I I, yeah, I'm fine with that.
- 36:20I mean, the idea that, for example, a Joe Torry doesn't
- 36:25have a say in Hall of Fame voting.
- 36:27I I mean, I know he's been on a couple of those veteran
- 36:30committees, but I'm OK with the idea of a revamp.
- 36:34I think. Yeah, so much of it is, well,
- 36:38this is the way it's always been done.
- 36:39And so this is how it's going to be done going forward.
- 36:42And that's fine, but it's also stagnant.
- 36:44And so, you know, just because the Hall of Fame was founded in
- 36:471930s and the baseball writers were the most knowledgeable
- 36:52people at that time, the world's changed a lot since the 1930s.
- 36:55I mean, how many people still pick up a physical newspaper?
- 36:58I'm sorry to say, but it's not that many.
- 37:00And so I think that media has changed, the world has changed.
- 37:05And so at some point, that's probably going to happen.
- 37:09I think I, I know that, look, the Hall of Fame is all about
- 37:13tradition and, you know, honoring history.
- 37:15And, but I think that it's silly to say that you couldn't have
- 37:19input from a Joe Torre or when he was alive, a Vin Scully or
- 37:23somebody like that, that they wouldn't have something
- 37:26interesting or, or valid to say about who should or should not
- 37:29be in the Hall of Fame. So I, I say Susan Waldman is a
- 37:33perfect example. You're going to tell me that I
- 37:36know more baseball and Susan, I don't, I really don't.
- 37:38And so I think that if you were going to have any of these
- 37:43people be able to weigh in, if you put in a certain number of
- 37:47time or certain amount of years around the game and in it, then
- 37:50you should absolutely have a say in the Hall of Fame because it's
- 37:53a place, it's a museum that honors the game's history.
- 37:57And so you should have as many people who know the history and
- 38:01value it as you can. Brian, before we let you go, I
- 38:04have one more question to ask you.
- 38:05The Yankees right now is sitting and they're waiting.
- 38:09If you were the Yankees GM right now or you're the the back end
- 38:13guy that has the informed information behind.
- 38:16This I quit. I don't want the job.
- 38:18I quit right now. I turn in my resignation.
- 38:22I say, Hal, see you. I'm out.
- 38:24What do you think the Yankees are going to do?
- 38:29I think they are going to come in with a very strong offer to
- 38:33get Cody Bellinger. I think it's probably not going
- 38:36to be enough. I think he's going to get more
- 38:38years and more dollars elsewhere.
- 38:39And then I think they're going to pivot to pitching.
- 38:41They're going to try to bring in EMI.
- 38:43I don't know if they're going to be the high bid on that.
- 38:45The problem with it is seems like he's going to be pretty
- 38:48secretive and he's another Boris guy and they haven't had great
- 38:52success in the Japanese market. So then you move to maybe your
- 38:55next one on the list, Michael King.
- 38:57That's an interesting one to me. I think that there is a real
- 39:00chance they wind up with Michael King because it's a double
- 39:04whammy. You bring back a guy who you
- 39:06didn't really want to trade in the 1st place.
- 39:07You gave them up to get to Juan Soto who got you to a World
- 39:10Series. So you do that 10 times out of
- 39:1210. But a chance to bring back a guy
- 39:14who everybody in organization loves and you keep them away
- 39:17from other teams in your division.
- 39:19I can see them going that way and just try and build what
- 39:22could be the best rotation in baseball or certainly in the
- 39:24American League. Very interesting.
- 39:26Well, Bryant, I know you're a busy guy.
- 39:29I know you got a wife, you got a bunch of kids, so.
- 39:32I do. Oh, where is she?
- 39:34Oh yeah, right. You're traveling, but you're
- 39:38obviously back in spring training is around the corner.
- 39:41What do we have a couple of months and we're going to be
- 39:43talking about spring training. We're going to be talking about
- 39:45the season. Hopefully the Yankees do spend
- 39:48money because Hal is complaining and crying as we all expected
- 39:52him to do. And and Steve, Uncle Stevie, a
- 39:55lot of met fans are pissed off because they believe the only
- 39:58reason why Uncle Stevie bought the team was because he wanted
- 40:01that casino. He got what he wanted.
- 40:03And now all of a sudden he let Pete Alonzo gone.
- 40:05He let he's Edwin Diaz go and and it seems like he's sitting.
- 40:10With the team that he has, we'll see what the Mets do, but it was
- 40:13shocking that they let Pete Alonzo go.
- 40:16It was even more shocking that Edwin Diaz went to the Dodgers
- 40:20and now is sitting pretty with the one position, the one
- 40:24situation that the the Dodgers were so bad in back and forth
- 40:29all season long. And now they got the best closer
- 40:31in baseball. They have the best one of the
- 40:33best rotations in baseball and they probably have the best
- 40:36lineup in the last 25 years. So I, I don't know.
- 40:39I, I, I can't, I have nothing to say more but expect the Dodgers
- 40:44to win another World Series this year.
- 40:46A3 peat. So I don't, I don't think
- 40:48anybody is going to argue. That I think.
- 40:51They can be what do you think? Like now that they brought Devin
- 40:56over when maybe they thought they were going to have Edwin
- 40:59and now he's going to have the same controversy on the other
- 41:03side of the fence. Even though like, like you said
- 41:06earlier, it's like these big market guys that have been there
- 41:09before. Now he's going to be the end all
- 41:11the meets, all because who else are you going to bring, Speedy?
- 41:14You you know this as well I do as a Mets fan.
- 41:17Where do you go after Devin Williams, Luke?
- 41:19Weaver, of course. Isn't that where Aaron Boone
- 41:21went? Yeah, great.
- 41:24You know, that's a perfect last name for him.
- 41:26Let's weave out of something else.
- 41:29So I, I don't know, I, I think it's.
- 41:32Brian, the last Cardinals relief pitcher they tried to trade for,
- 41:35was an abject disaster. And Luke Weaver couldn't.
- 41:38Yeah, I did not. And you know what?
- 41:39I was wrong on that one, too, Jabba, There's one.
- 41:41I was wrong. And I said Ryan Helsley would be
- 41:43a great fit for the Yankees bullpen.
- 41:46I didn't know that they were going to go get David Bednar.
- 41:48I thought Helsley was the guy to go get.
- 41:50And look I I was wrong on that. Hey, B, remember, Remember Sean
- 41:55Kelly? Sure, look at Sean Kelly and
- 41:59David Bednar. Look at their profile pictures.
- 42:02They are I I literally when when they signed Bednar, I text Sean
- 42:07and I'm like, that's you in a different way.
- 42:09And then everybody's like ocean and everything.
- 42:11And it's like we've had this conversation plenty of times.
- 42:14What do they want? They they want personality on
- 42:17the back end of what it is. And they got what is successful
- 42:21because they were so spoiled with MO for so long.
- 42:25And then I came in and then they had Chapman, then they had D Rob
- 42:29and they had all those guys. And now they have somebody back
- 42:31in that has what the team didn't have right.
- 42:35And now at the back end of scene, like, and I love watching
- 42:38him because at the end of the day that they try to take
- 42:41emotion away from me. And now it's like they try to
- 42:44generate it with it and they're trying to bring it back because
- 42:48obviously in your captain, Aaron is is Aaron.
- 42:51And we're not going to take anything away from him because
- 42:53he's one of the greatest players in the game right now.
- 42:55But also he's not an emotional guy.
- 42:57Derek never was, Donnie Baseball never was.
- 43:00But you had to have those guys and what you said earlier and
- 43:03bring in that dynamic of a swish and why you like jazz, because
- 43:06you have to have that in a clubhouse to win.
- 43:08You have to have it. And what they have right now is
- 43:12is showing the fact that it takes more than just one or two
- 43:16things to make the piece of the puzzle work.
- 43:18And if you want to get to where you're at, you're going to have
- 43:20to figure out what that is. And I think that's kind of where
- 43:24they lack. That's why I asked earlier, like
- 43:26putting eyes on the prize of not only let's see not only what's
- 43:30best on the field, but let's see what's best for our clubhouse.
- 43:33Right now. Yeah.
- 43:35And I think that's some some things that they lack in the
- 43:37front office because they just look at numbers so much.
- 43:40I think it's interesting you bring that up because I think
- 43:43you at age 25, you might have had more fun with this team
- 43:47right now because they would have let you be yourself and
- 43:51they wouldn't have tried to tell you stop pumping your fist when
- 43:53you come off the mound. And, and so I think that's an
- 43:55interesting thought. I hadn't actually thought about
- 43:57that, but, you know, I, I don't know if that would have helped
- 44:00your performance or not. I don't know if that makes you
- 44:02better or worse, but I, I think you would have enjoyed it a
- 44:05little bit more in this current environment because I think it
- 44:08it is a little looser and it's a they, they let you be who you
- 44:11are. And today's athletes are just
- 44:13different across the board anyway.
- 44:14I mean, you know, I think that the, the things these guys do
- 44:18away from the field, I mean, they play video games.
- 44:20They, they don't go out clubbing and go to bars and stuff like
- 44:23that. I mean, it's just a different
- 44:24time in baseball. And so, yeah, I don't know, I, I
- 44:27think it would have been interesting to see what a 25
- 44:30year old Jabba would do in 2025. Ryan There is no clubs, There is
- 44:34no bars. Well, there are bars, but there,
- 44:36there are no clubs anymore. Nightclubs there?
- 44:39Really. Is no, doesn't exist, right?
- 44:41It's weird. And maybe social medias is part
- 44:43of that. I'm sure it is.
- 44:44You know, guys don't want to be on display.
- 44:46And you know, you know, Aaron Judge can't go out to Starbucks,
- 44:49let alone to go out to a nightclub and, you know, do
- 44:52whatever Derek Jeter was doing at the the China Club in the
- 44:5590s. It's just a different world.
- 44:56You can't do it. He's 69 and 280 lbs and he's
- 45:00built like a brick. So if he walks through the door,
- 45:02you know, it's, you know, we know it's Aaron Judge.
- 45:05It's like Mike Trout. If he was walking in New York
- 45:07City and he was wearing just a normal hat and a Jean jacket,
- 45:11you would not know it's Mike Trout.
- 45:13But Aaron Judge, I mean, as soon as he walks into a building,
- 45:16it's like Shaquille O'Neal. He walks into a bookstore, you
- 45:19know, it's Shaq. It's 7 foot two big man walking
- 45:23around weighing 300 lbs. So it's.
- 45:25Hard to miss. It's hard to miss, but Brian,
- 45:28we, we love you. We'd love to get you on probably
- 45:32when the preseason starts or a little bit before that so we can
- 45:35talk about what the Yankees didn't do and what the Yankees
- 45:37should have done. And where do we see the Yankees
- 45:40this year? But I expect the Yankees
- 45:43rotation to be great. Garrick Cole will be back one
- 45:45way or another this year. And you have Schlittler.
- 45:48I mean, this is a good rotation. And, and again, there's a guy in
- 45:52Pittsburgh that already said he wants to be in pinch drives one
- 45:54way or another. So we'll see what?
- 45:56Happens. Did he say that exactly?
- 45:57Are we sure about that? Everything.
- 45:59Was a little a. Little bit of fake news on that
- 46:01one. He's making assumptions.
- 46:03I'm. Just making assumptions.
- 46:04Hopefully it'll stick to the wall.
- 46:06I'll tell you what, let me tell you about Paul Skeens though,
- 46:08because and you talk about having cojones.
- 46:11So he came to the BBWA dinner in January to pick up his Rookie of
- 46:16the Year award, and he gave a great speech.
- 46:19And Libby Dunn was there and it was great.
- 46:21And he said at the end of his speech, he said, I'll be back
- 46:24next year to pick up the Cy Young.
- 46:26And I said, OK, all right, we'll see.
- 46:29And damn if he didn't back it up.
- 46:30And guess where he'll be in late January to pick up his Cy Young
- 46:34Award in New York. So pretty cool.
- 46:36Pretty cool to see a guy just throw it out there on the table
- 46:39and like, yeah, I'm great. And you're all going to eat it.
- 46:42Well, it's nice to watch him win all the awards, but I actually
- 46:46like looking at the woman he's dating too, so she's.
- 46:49A lovely lady and she was very nice.
- 46:51She met my daughters and she's awesome.
- 46:54She looks like a nice girl and she's a beautiful woman.
- 46:56And Paul Skeens is a very. But also be at the same time
- 47:00like he understands where he's at in Pittsburgh.
- 47:04Is is winning valued? And like I and everybody I've
- 47:07talked to said he's obviously a great human and the things that
- 47:11he does, you know, for our troops and the fact that we're
- 47:13free to do what what we do. But really like when it comes
- 47:18down to it, like is, is winning a thing?
- 47:20I'll never forget when Moose retired in O 8 and I get a phone
- 47:25call when I was struggling early to start and he's like, do I
- 47:29have to come back to to save your ass?
- 47:31And I'm like, maybe I don't know, like, what what the hell
- 47:36is going on? I have, I have no idea.
- 47:38Like, what am I? What am I to say to you?
- 47:40Like you're you're a Hall of Famer?
- 47:41Like, I don't, I don't know. But what does he want to win?
- 47:47Right well, first of all, I wish we had that moose story for the
- 47:50book because that would have been good.
- 47:51We could have worked that in for sure.
- 47:54Does he want to? Of course he has to win any
- 47:55questions you. Didn't ask me that one, sorry.
- 47:58I didn't know Mike Mussina called you early in the season
- 48:01and tried to bail you out. I wish I did.
- 48:04Does he want to win? Of course he didn't.
- 48:05He talked about that. He said that he's won at every
- 48:08level. He won in the military in
- 48:10college. And this is the first time he's
- 48:13experienced losing. And he doesn't like it.
- 48:14But, I mean, that's the reality of where he is.
- 48:17That's why he got to the Pirates, right?
- 48:18Because he was a high draft pick.
- 48:20He was a 11. And yeah, I think that, you know
- 48:23what the situation is in Pittsburgh.
- 48:25It's been that way for a long time, and I don't know when it's
- 48:28going to get better. And so, yeah, I think that if
- 48:31you being realistic, of course he wants to win a championship.
- 48:34So yeah, you would have to have one eye on the outside world and
- 48:37say, all right, I'm putting in my time here and if this doesn't
- 48:40get better by a certain date, I'm out.
- 48:43So he was playing, he was playing two ways and we'll let
- 48:45you go after this, playing two ways at Air Force and he won
- 48:49Player of the Year award. What was the what was the name
- 48:51of that player that he won? I don't know, was it the show?
- 48:54Hey, Tony Award. Well.
- 48:57It's years before that. Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 49:00Babe Ruth, the John Ullerood award.
- 49:02No way really for a two way player, huh?
- 49:07Yep, how about that? Should have put it I covered on
- 49:09all the route with the Mets. That's how old I am.
- 49:12I'm feeding you knowledge like now.
- 49:14Now that I'm done like I, I get time to.
- 49:17Wait a second, wait a SEC. Feeding him knowledge.
- 49:19I mean, was that in the book? Or are you telling him that
- 49:21you're one of the smartest baseball players of all time?
- 49:24I'm one of the stupidest, I just happen to be dumb enough to be
- 49:27good at something. He's got all the sports on
- 49:31Michael Barrett though, how many pitchers he hit in his.
- 49:33Career Well, I. Mean.
- 49:35Yeah, because I've what's thing called the Internet.
- 49:38Google it AI baby Chad GBT anyways as.
- 49:43New careful Chad GBT It can make mistakes, it tells you that.
- 49:47Well, Nick Goody is the king of using Chad GBT and we love A
- 49:52shout out to Nick Goody. I know he's been working and I
- 49:55know he's been wanting to come on the show.
- 49:56But Brian, we love you. Keep up the good work and we'll
- 50:00talk to you soon buddy. You got it guys.
- 50:01See you. Thanks for having me.
- 50:03Absolutely. Brian Hoch and and again, I, I
- 50:07want to say something and I want to give a shout out to our boy,
- 50:10the one and only Fish and I, I let Speedy Speedy, you're the
- 50:13one who typed it up and all that other stuff.
- 50:15I'll let you do the sports minute because I had no idea.
- 50:17I didn't think Jabba. He gives me like this huge like
- 50:21sheet paragraph and I'm reading it.
- 50:23I'm like, during the whole thing, I thought it was going to
- 50:25be like he was going to cut it down, slice it up because I know
- 50:28Fish puts it together before the show and he reads it over and
- 50:31over and over again. And he said, oh, I'm not going
- 50:33to be here. I'm going to cut it down for
- 50:34errors. So I'll make it easy for him.
- 50:36Dude. He gave me a whole like 2 pages
- 50:38worth of reading off a sportsman.
- 50:41And I'm like, I'm looking at it and I'm like, I just got off of
- 50:44being vertigoed. I mean, my eyes were, you know,
- 50:47I finally came out of it and I'm reading and I'm like, holy crap,
- 50:51I got to read this. So yeah.
- 50:54So Speedy will be doing the sports minute, but we got more
- 50:57segments to go. We got save your tears Mom.
- 51:01What's one thing? That you can't talk to me about.
- 51:04My sexual fantasies. No, no say your sorry.
- 51:09It's not ideal, but if it's what means it is not ideal.
- 51:12But if it's just not ideal. But if it is, what means?
- 51:15You can't treble stamp a double. Stamp.
- 51:16You can't treble stamp a double stamp Lloyd.
- 51:18You can't dribble stamp with double stamp, Lloyd.
- 51:21You guys, now it's time for save your tears.
- 51:29Oh right, are we ready for Savior tears?
- 51:31We don't have the one and only fish tonight, so we have the
- 51:35speedster. You ready?
- 51:36All right, yes, I'm ready to host the 1st edition of my
- 51:39Savior Tears version. We got week 16 match ups for
- 51:42three games that will be featured is the.

- 52:07Moore and Kate at 3. Justin Herbert, Rico Dowdell,
- 52:09The ex Cowboy. It's Cortland.
- 52:12It's Colston Loveland, he actually typed it wrong.
- 52:15Jaden Reed, Chris Godwin and Arande Gadsden.
- 52:17Or is that 2 and then Baker Mayfield, Amari and Hampton and
- 52:20Mecca Eggbuca, Lad Mcconkey and Luke Musgrave?
- 52:23Or is that one being that the Cowboys are playing?
- 52:26I won last week, Nathan, you are going first.
- 52:29I had to. Take a shit.
- 52:34All right, I'm going to go. I'm going to go Kayla Williams,
- 52:39Green Pie. I'm going to go Rico Droba.
- 52:45I'm going to go McMillan. Actually Droba.
- 52:48Yeah, Chris Godwin and then Droba.
- 52:56I'm going to do a Doo Doo Luke Bosgrove suck my Indo all.
- 53:06Right, so who does he have? Who is your quarterback?
- 53:08I missed your quarterback, Caleb.
- 53:09Williams, Caleb Williams. OK, see, he's got, he's got
- 53:12Caleb, he's got Caleb Williams, he's got Rico Dowdle, he's got
- 53:14McMillan, Godwin and Musgrave. You do know Caleb Williams is
- 53:18playing Green Bay this week? Right, I know all.
- 53:22Right, Jarrett, we'll go to you give.
- 53:24Me. Dak Prescott, thumb up my
- 53:28Omarion Hampton. My pinky is bigger than yours,
- 53:32Emeka. Ibuka.
- 53:34Let's see, he tastes himself and I'll go.
- 53:38George Pickens and Jake. Ferguson, good job.
- 53:41All right, that is 15. Dak Hampton, Ibuka to rookies
- 53:45there, George Pickens and Jake Ferguson.
- 53:47Lots of Cowboys. Dobber in the dirt.
- 53:49Jarrett's lineup. All right, let's go to Tommy.
- 53:54Give me Kayla Williams. Josh Jacobs, give me McMillan
- 54:01and then I should have $3. Give me like a serial killer.
- 54:09You know what? No.
- 54:10Give me you know. Yeah.
- 54:11OK, we'll do Godwin and then Musgrave.
- 54:13I was going to do Keenan Allen instead of McMillan.
- 54:16Caleb, I hope not. Caleb Williams, Josh Jacobs,
- 54:18McMillan, Chris Godwin and Luke Musgrave.
- 54:21All right, I'll go. I'll go next.
- 54:22For this one, I'll take Justin Herbert at $2.
- 54:26I will take. I'll take Swift for three.
- 54:30I'll take CD Lamb. I will take.
- 54:34I got 35 left, so I will take Moore and Gadson.
- 54:42All right, Jabba. I'm gonna take Herbert with you,
- 54:49then I'm gonna take DeAndre Swift.
- 54:52Thickness. Then I'm gonna go McMillan.
- 54:56Again, I'm anal. That gives me 6 left.
- 55:00Core bag. Then I'm gonna go and he.
- 55:06Buffed everything out. Of Chris Godwin and then Colin
- 55:10Loveland all. Right.
- 55:13So same same first two as me, Herbert, Swift, McMillan that
- 55:18makes 9, Godwin 11 and Loveland at 15 and Errol the round it
- 55:23out. All right, who's Baker playing
- 55:24Caroline Carolina. All right, I'm going to go.
- 55:26It's going to be a big week for the Bake man.
- 55:28I'm going to go with Baker Mayfield.
- 55:32I'm going to go definitely going with CD Lamb.
- 55:39Actually, I don't want to go with CD Lamb because I hope he
- 55:41doesn't play well because I'm playing you.
- 55:42And I also have Baker too, so. I I'm not going with CD Lambert.
- 55:46I'm going for the reverse jinx. I don't want, I don't want to go
- 55:49with him. I'm going to go with McMillan.
- 55:51I'm going to go with Mike Evans because I think he's going to
- 55:54have a big day. How many points do I?
- 55:56Have So you're keeping Baker? I'm keeping Baker.
- 55:58OK, so that's 10 right now running back and tight end as
- 56:02you got left, you got 5 all. Right.
- 56:07I'm going to go. I'm going to go with Dowdle and
- 56:10how many points. Got 3 left.
- 56:12All right, I'll go with. I guess I'm going with K dot.
- 56:18All right. Gatson's my tight end.
- 56:20Sorry. This week.
- 56:21It's interesting. I have Baker and CD Lim and
- 56:24Gatson against you on this board, but you're boarded.
- 56:27Baker, your board is Dowdle, your board is McMillan, Mike
- 56:33Evans and K dot, one of each number to go with.
- 56:36There you go. I think it's great.
- 56:38And throw you a bone, if you know what I mean.
- 56:41You got to put your tongue on something.
- 56:42Somebody's got to put a tongue on something.
- 56:44And hopefully you don't put your tongue on the old Nith.
- 56:48No, I will definitely never do that.
- 56:49And by the way, you know. Ball bag.
- 56:52Somebody is not playing with Nathan's ball bag tonight and
- 56:56it's definitely not going to be Jabba.
- 56:58Jabba doesn't. Play ball bags, he's saying.
- 57:00The only ball bag Jabba's going to be playing with is the one in
- 57:04his glove, right Java? That's why I said it.
- 57:12That's why I. Think Java's going to sign a
- 57:15minor league deal with the Yankees?
- 57:16Invite with you spring training. I like Angel.
- 57:19Hey, did you not see the Rich Eisen Show retweets?
- 57:22And Jet today was kind of funny. Java takes it up the ass.
- 57:29Hey only only during my life insurance policy where I take
- 57:33Ram Jam all. Right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 57:40that was the your very first savior tears without the
- 57:44Fishman, but. Where's the Fishman, by the way?
- 57:47So. Fish is dealing with family
- 57:49stuff. His dog.
- 57:51His dog is very sick. He had to rush him to the
- 57:55hospital and the doggy hospital. Hopefully his dog is doing well.
- 58:01I know it's fish is his dog is. His dogs are his, you know, his
- 58:07kids and yeah, him and his wife are, you know, they ran to the
- 58:11hospital. His dog ate cookies, chocolate
- 58:14chip cookies. Oh.
- 58:15My God. And you know, if anybody knows
- 58:18or doesn't know that you dogs are not allowed to eat
- 58:21chocolate. So he rushed the dog to the
- 58:25hospital. Hopefully the dog is doing
- 58:27better. My heart goes out to the family.
- 58:29Hopefully everything is OK. I don't Fish wanted to be here.
- 58:32So for all the fans that were expecting Fish to be here, don't
- 58:37worry, you still got me and you got job and.
- 58:40Now you got Nathan. Put put a mob.
- 58:46Goody has no woody. Or my favorite.
- 58:49One I love Lisa Ann or. This.
- 58:52One breaking news, I need Brittany also.
- 58:56Yeah, you want to jerk me off or I got to go back off now.
- 58:59Which he probably does every single night job.
- 59:02Anyways, that was save your tears.
- 59:06Now, ladies and gentlemen, we've got Speedy's 6 Pack of the Week.
- 59:12Let's have a sixer. Hey, who wants to play Drink the
- 59:15Beer? It's time for the Speedy 6 pack
- 59:18of the Way Oh. That's a nice loud burp.
- 59:23Goody. Has no woody.
- 59:25All right, so we're still waiting on Wes, He said he
- 59:28should be able to come in in a bit, but we'll start with the
- 59:31prime time game because we'll wait on Wesley.
- 59:33I know he doesn't like the prime time games.
- 59:35We'll go to the Patriots at the Ravens to start.
- 59:38Glory hole. The Ravens are 3 1/2 point
- 59:40favourites at home and I will take them in this spot.
- 59:42I think it's a desperation game for them.
- 59:45The Steelers won last week, so they're trying to just keep pace
- 59:47in the division. I think the Ravens defense has
- 59:50played a little better in the second-half of the season and I
- 59:52think the Patriots will be or the Ravens will be able to stop
- 59:55the run unlike. Like a serial killer.
- 59:58So I'm going to take the Ravens here in the spot.
- 59:59I'll let you lick my butt. I guess we'll go to, we'll go to
- 1:00:02Nathan. Speaking of dogs, there's
- 1:00:05Jabba's dog. Yeah, that's a go.
- 1:00:07Oh, wow. Nice dog, right?
- 1:00:09This shit. He loves his dog.
- 1:00:11What? What's your dog's name?
- 1:00:13Jabba Bailey. Bailey.
- 1:00:17I I remember you told me he. Bailey said stuff.
- 1:00:21Did he go go to a different go to arrow first it?
- 1:00:24Kind of. It kind of looks like you.
- 1:00:25It looks like you. I think, I think you're related.
- 1:00:29I think there's there's definitely some kind of relation
- 1:00:31right there. You're going to go to me.
- 1:00:33I'm the last guy to go. He's the last to go, Nathan.
- 1:00:35I said you're next, You're next. Patriots at Ravens.
- 1:00:38Ravens are three-point favorites at.
- 1:00:40I got, I got I got the Patriots. I think they're playing at a
- 1:00:43high level and they're Super Bowl contender and Mike Rayville
- 1:00:46obviously changing this culture at the Patriots team.
- 1:00:49And obviously Drake Mays playing like MVP.
- 1:00:51I got them winning against the Ravens.
- 1:00:53I'll let you lick my butt. All right to the coin.
- 1:00:59A lot of hot ladies. Heads.
- 1:01:02All right, Java is on the Ravens to cover the spread -3.
- 1:01:06All I definitely there's something that tells me the
- 1:01:09Ravens are going to win this game and they're going to play
- 1:01:11it. It's going to be very, very
- 1:01:13close. I think it'll be back and forth,
- 1:01:15but I think Lamar Jackson's going to prove himself.
- 1:01:17Oh, look at this. Look at this run by Walker
- 1:01:19touchdown. Now Seattle takes the lead and
- 1:01:23they're up. Well, they will be up 14 to 13,
- 1:01:27but yeah, I've got the Baltimore Ravens winning in a close one.
- 1:01:32All right, we'll go to the Buccaneers at the Panthers, one
- 1:01:35of the games mentioned in Savior tears.
- 1:01:36The Bucks are three-point favorites on the road at
- 1:01:39Carolina. Carolina again, it's tough to
- 1:01:41figure out. They've beaten some good teams
- 1:01:43and then they've got swept by the Saints.
- 1:01:44The Buccaneers don't look like the same team right now.
- 1:01:47I've if I was actually betting, I would probably bet the under.
- 1:01:49I think this is kind of a sloppy game.
- 1:01:51I'm worried about Baker even playing him, but I I'll take the
- 1:01:54Bucks in the spot to win a tight one.
- 1:01:59Well, I I I got the Bucks also, I think aren't they still
- 1:02:03fighting for a playoff spot? Buckingham, Both yes, teams are
- 1:02:07both team record. This is OK this big game for
- 1:02:08both team. All right, I got the I got the
- 1:02:10Buccaneers. I think they have more
- 1:02:12experience. Panthers is still young team.
- 1:02:14Yeah, I got I got the Buccaneers over the Panthers.
- 1:02:22Oh, I got tails. Oh all.
- 1:02:24Right Jabba on the. Bucks.
- 1:02:28I got the Bucks. I I think Mike Evans is going to
- 1:02:30have an explosive week. He looked pretty good last week.
- 1:02:34As long as he plays, I expect him to put up at least 100 yards
- 1:02:37and a touchdown. He's been he's in very important
- 1:02:40to their offense and you saw it last week how important he is.
- 1:02:43Even though they lost, you can see what Mike Evans could do on
- 1:02:46the football field. So give me the Bucks.
- 1:02:48All right, we got we got Wes in the studio now with us.
- 1:02:51Oh, it is Roll Tide for for tomorrow's game and Yum Yum.
- 1:02:55I do have to mention Wesa did send this to me earlier.
- 1:02:57He actually. He.
- 1:02:58Actually now has a book out right.
- 1:03:00Here. Disciplined sports betting Wes,
- 1:03:04you want to give a little bit of a sneak peek on that?
- 1:03:07Yeah, you know, I've, I've been working on this thing since
- 1:03:09COVID and in the last couple weeks I, I got serious about it.
- 1:03:13But it it is, it is not going to tell you what to bet or, or when
- 1:03:17to bet it. It is not giving you pics.
- 1:03:20It is, it is about how to how to look at this thing as as a
- 1:03:23business. I draw some comparisons to, you
- 1:03:27know, your 4-O1K and the, and the percentages that it would go
- 1:03:31up and what would satisfy you versus the mentality of what
- 1:03:35people are looking to do with sports betting.
- 1:03:37And you know, it put some structure behind it, some pay
- 1:03:41yourself activity, how to reinvest and up your bets.
- 1:03:45But then there's, there's some cool chapters with the seven
- 1:03:49deadly sins of sports betting and the 10 commandments of
- 1:03:52sports betting. And I even get into how to break
- 1:03:56down a weekly portfolio. A football season is a different
- 1:04:00approach than basketball season. And it just put some discipline
- 1:04:03and structure and, and some guardrails behind how to
- 1:04:06approach it. I see a lot of people and for
- 1:04:08years you guys have heard me talk about unit management, but,
- 1:04:11but I see a lot of people, you know, they, they, they deposit
- 1:04:14$100 into an account, they place one bet for 50 bucks, they place
- 1:04:18another for 25 and another for 10.
- 1:04:20And then they are out of money and they're wondering how and
- 1:04:24why. And, you know, there's just no
- 1:04:26structure to it. And so this gives it a, a
- 1:04:29business like approach. You invest in your sports
- 1:04:32betting account and you treat it the same way that you would
- 1:04:35treat a business. And, and you know, I've been
- 1:04:38doing unit management strategies like this for years.
- 1:04:43I don't think I've made a deposit into my sports betting
- 1:04:46account in about 18 months. And that was probably for, you
- 1:04:51know, a reason, not because of a bust.
- 1:04:53But your average person is betting these four way parlays.
- 1:04:56And you know, I'd like to offer people some help with that and
- 1:04:59see if we can take some money from the casino instead of
- 1:05:03giving, giving them more, making them fatter.
- 1:05:06Where can we find it, Wes? So it in the next few days it's
- 1:05:10going to be on Amazon in Kindle softcover and hardcover.
- 1:05:16Tomorrow I am going to get my own personal marketplace landing
- 1:05:20page up and running. But Arrow and I are working
- 1:05:22together on how we can get the download PDF e-book version of
- 1:05:26it for all the listeners and, and in this group.
- 1:05:29So here in the next 48 hours, we should be able to sell it on
- 1:05:35this worldwide sports radio Network page.
- 1:05:38And and we're going to, we're going to push it out there that
- 1:05:40way. If you're a betting man or woman
- 1:05:43and you want to learn how to bed, this is the book to check
- 1:05:46out and and Glass is one of the best we've ever had on this
- 1:05:49show. This guy during the CFL season,
- 1:05:52this guy is usually the year before, last of this past year
- 1:05:56he was at almost 70%. This year he was in the 60s.
- 1:05:59I think he was 68 or 66%. The guy knows how to bet and if
- 1:06:04you guys or girls love or want to make money for you and your
- 1:06:08families and you want to, you want to bring in some extra
- 1:06:11money on the side, well, this is the book to go and get.
- 1:06:13So I'm we're going to work on something.
- 1:06:16It's going to be up on the website and you guys can check
- 1:06:18it out PDF and you can read it or you can have it read to you
- 1:06:23so. All right, I do have to give my
- 1:06:25oblatory shocker to Wes. And thank you very much.
- 1:06:30I appreciate that. Appreciate the the shout out to
- 1:06:34the book. Wes, Congrats on the book and by
- 1:06:37the way, nice meeting you for the first time here.
- 1:06:39I'm the I'm the PR manager for the show.
- 1:06:41So nice meeting you virtually so.
- 1:06:44Awesome. Appreciate it.
- 1:06:45Thank you. All right, appreciate all the
- 1:06:47all the kindness. All right, my friend, we got two
- 1:06:51games that you didn't. You didn't give us your
- 1:06:54winnings. So speedy the 1st 2 that you
- 1:06:56were the Patriots at the Ravens. The Ravens are three-point
- 1:06:59favorites and then the Bucks 3 point Rd. favorites at the
- 1:07:01Panthers are the first two of my 6.
- 1:07:06This is to me. Yes, yes, these are the 1st 2:00
- 1:07:09and then we got four more. Running after that, I like the
- 1:07:13Ravens. This is a really weird one that
- 1:07:15the Ravens are favorite, but this thing opened at 8 1/2 and
- 1:07:19somehow has found its way to -3 There's just been so much
- 1:07:24action, public and sharp on New England.
- 1:07:28This is one of those WTF lines. When it first comes out, it's
- 1:07:32still Lamar, it's it's still Henry.
- 1:07:36I really like the Ravens in this spot.
- 1:07:38They only have to lay three at home in in A and they they just
- 1:07:42came off of a confidence building type of division win 24
- 1:07:46to nothing. It's easy to say that was
- 1:07:48because it was against the Bengals who are falling apart.
- 1:07:51But I I believe that the Ravens are going to show up here.
- 1:07:54I don't think New England gets exposed.
- 1:07:56They're still a great team, but I like this spot for the Ravens
- 1:07:59-3 all. Right.
- 1:08:00And then the Bucks Rd. favorites at the Panthers.
- 1:08:04Yeah, so I like the Panthers in this game.
- 1:08:06I don't like this Bucks team. I I just, I don't very much care
- 1:08:10for this version of the Bucks. I think that Bryce is playing
- 1:08:13good ball. I get I get a division match up
- 1:08:17with something significant on the line.
- 1:08:21I believe that Carolina is the better defense.
- 1:08:23They just don't have names that we can recognize.
- 1:08:28I think that Baker's going to be bakers, not as much of A grown
- 1:08:33up as some of these other quarterbacks in the league.
- 1:08:35And I think that Baker is going to have something to prove
- 1:08:37against Carolina and he's going to make mistakes.
- 1:08:40He's going to force a problem that that Tampa doesn't need.
- 1:08:43And so I like Caroline outright in this game and that will be a
- 1:08:47true play of mine to take some money line on this.
- 1:08:50All right, let's go to the Pittsburgh Steelers at the
- 1:08:52Detroit Lions. Kind of desperation for both
- 1:08:54these teams, All the Steelers trying to hang on the division,
- 1:08:56the Lions fighting for a playoff so that Lions are 6 point
- 1:08:59favorites. I think there's too many points.
- 1:09:00I think they will win the game, but I think it is closer.
- 1:09:02So I'm going to take the Steelers to cover, the Lions to
- 1:09:05win. All right, Wes, you'll go second
- 1:09:06for the rest of this rotation and then we'll go to Nathan,
- 1:09:08Jabba and then Errol. Yeah, the so at 7:00, I would
- 1:09:14have been at the Steelers. Pete, you're talking about 6
- 1:09:171/2. Yeah, I.
- 1:09:18Have 6 1/2. I looked on Vegas Insider.
- 1:09:20I don't know where you were looking at, but.
- 1:09:22Yeah, this is this is a situation where if you look at
- 1:09:25when Detroit wins, how they win is typically big or bigger than
- 1:09:326 1/2. You got them beating the
- 1:09:34Commanders 44 to 22. You got them beating Dallas 44
- 1:09:37to 30. You can go back to 24 to 9
- 1:09:40against the bottle before the bye week.
- 1:09:42So, So typically when they win, it is by a touchdown or more.
- 1:09:46If they don't win by more than a touchdown, they're not winning.
- 1:09:49So if you are of the belief that Detroit is the winner here, then
- 1:09:54they will cover this spread and I believe Detroit will win.
- 1:09:57Pittsburgh's defense is very, very not good.
- 1:10:00So I'm going to lay the points and take Detroit here.
- 1:10:03And this will be also one of my. Cost all.
- 1:10:06Right Ness, what do you got? I got, I got Detroit Lions.
- 1:10:10I think both, both teams are fighting for a playoff spot.
- 1:10:13And I think with the Detroit, the Detroit's win against Dallas
- 1:10:17and putting up 44 points and they and also their defensive
- 1:10:20point area had a game plan already set for Dallas and they
- 1:10:23did a better job of soppies bigger than yours.
- 1:10:26So I think I got I think the Lions will beat the Steelers and
- 1:10:30and they have more some they have they're fighting for, for
- 1:10:33something more and also the Steelers.
- 1:10:35But Detroit has found right now my opinion.
- 1:10:39All right, to the coin. All right.
- 1:10:47Couldn't see it very well. Java, can you show it again with
- 1:10:49the bigger screen? Looks like it's a tails.
- 1:10:51Yep, looks like that way. All right, so Java is on the
- 1:10:55Steelers to cover. Yeah, I got the lions.
- 1:10:58I think the lions are going to be explosive, and I and Jameer
- 1:11:01Gibbs did not have a big week. If you're a fantasy owner, bet
- 1:11:05Jameer Gibbs he's going to have a big day.
- 1:11:09Stuff them. Not gonna happen.
- 1:11:11All right, Chargers at the Cowboys.
- 1:11:13We'll go on to next Chargers 1 1/2 point favorites.
- 1:11:16I know I picked Justin Herbert and save your tears.
- 1:11:18But I do think Dallas does win this game.
- 1:11:19I think they're gonna fight to the end to try to stay alive in
- 1:11:21this division with the Eagles. The Chargers, they've been hot
- 1:11:24for a while. They've played very well amidst
- 1:11:25the injuries. But I think Dallas gets them
- 1:11:26here. Give me the Cowboys.
- 1:11:29Get it, Wes? Yeah, this one is a real
- 1:11:36struggle, right? Because because the Chargers,
- 1:11:38they barely won a game. I mean, I realized that that
- 1:11:42God, I this one's a struggle, but I am going to take the
- 1:11:48Chargers because they actually believe in playing defense.
- 1:11:51And Herbert, I saw Herbert play live.
- 1:11:55And I mean, the dude just gets rid of the ball really quickly.
- 1:11:59And he is a big guy. Like, like, I mean, that is a
- 1:12:03big quarterback. He looked bigger than Josh
- 1:12:05Allen. I realize that's not a reason to
- 1:12:09take a team but but the Chargers just simply play better defense.
- 1:12:12Dallas is usually good for 30 but the Chargers don't allow 30
- 1:12:16so and and the spread is nothing.
- 1:12:20Give give me the Chargers. Nathan, you take your Cowboys or
- 1:12:24you're going with the. Chargers I mean, this is a tough
- 1:12:27one because you know the Cowboys, the Cowboys that the
- 1:12:31Detroit game was big for them. I they met they they they had
- 1:12:34that was a big game. But now they also, so being you
- 1:12:39need the Eagles to lose basically all their games, but
- 1:12:41they got the commanders, Eagles got the Commanders place and
- 1:12:44obviously Jada Daniels is not playing.
- 1:12:46So I don't think it's going to work out for the Cowboys.
- 1:12:50So I got the Chargers winning this game.
- 1:12:53I think they have a much better team right now and I like I got
- 1:12:58the Chargers winning OK. I got to say something with you,
- 1:13:02Nathan. You.
- 1:13:03You just. Give us your pick and you're
- 1:13:05like all over the place. Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah
- 1:13:09Dick. You on this segment, he has to
- 1:13:10make it smart. I'm like Sydney, I'm like, go
- 1:13:13ahead, spit the damn thing. Out we also take over a role for
- 1:13:17Fish. Nathan has to do it in this in
- 1:13:18this segment. It goes from one place to
- 1:13:21another. Let's go to A-Z.
- 1:13:28So we get made. Went up for the time on the coin
- 1:13:30though. Yeah, well now you threw me off
- 1:13:35with where'd my coin go? Nathan, I think you hypnotized
- 1:13:40him. Yeah.
- 1:13:41Carl plays with himself. Don't worry, I got it.
- 1:13:45All right. Here we go.
- 1:13:49Head's always at home. All right, night Jabba is on the
- 1:13:52Cowboys and Errol will round it out.
- 1:13:55I'm going to go. I think the Cowboys aren't
- 1:13:57playing for anything. So if they're not playing for
- 1:14:00anything, and it seems like, I mean, they're still kind, are
- 1:14:04they still in it? I think they are.
- 1:14:05Still in it they. Have to win the Eagles.
- 1:14:08That's not going to have a small chance.
- 1:14:09I have the Chargers winning the game.
- 1:14:12All right, we'll go to the Jaguars at the Broncos.
- 1:14:14The Broncos are 5 1/2 point favorites at home.
- 1:14:16I will take them to cover the spread.
- 1:14:17I know their offense hasn't been overly great, but I do think
- 1:14:20this is Jacksonville, a warm weather team traveling there.
- 1:14:23It's going to be it's going to be cold in Denver, that
- 1:14:25altitude. Trevor Lawrence, a warm weather
- 1:14:27quarterback. Give me Denver here.
- 1:14:29This makes my pecker hard all right.
- 1:14:32Wes. 5 1/2 so. Favorites for the.
- 1:14:35Broncos 5 1/2 is a lot of points, and if this was a year
- 1:14:40ago, six months ago, even summer before the season started, I
- 1:14:43wouldn't be saying this about Trevor Lawrence.
- 1:14:45But I believe right now that the Broncos are about to play the
- 1:14:48best quarterback they've seen in quite some time.
- 1:14:52And and keep in mind the Chiefs season ticket holder, I'm
- 1:14:55throwing Patrick Mahomes out the window and calling Trevor
- 1:14:57Lawrence a better quarterback. Currently right now, Trevor is
- 1:15:01is playing really well. And if you look at who the Jags
- 1:15:05have been playing, Liam Cohen is got this team ready to play
- 1:15:10against good defenses. So Denver's coming off a really
- 1:15:14big win. I don't believe that Jordan Love
- 1:15:17and Trevor Lawrence belong in the same conversation right now.
- 1:15:20I think Trevor is Trevor is is taken off with his feet when he
- 1:15:25should, which is where he's dangerous.
- 1:15:27He he's got the same arm he always has, but he's really
- 1:15:30seeing the field. And if you just look at how the
- 1:15:32Jags did earlier in the season against the Houston defense,
- 1:15:36they they absolutely have. I mean, they smoked the charters
- 1:15:39earlier in the season that deep. That's another good defense.
- 1:15:42So I like the way that Jacksonville gets the team ready
- 1:15:46for good defenses. And I don't believe that Denver
- 1:15:49has seen a quarterback like the way that Trevor is playing right
- 1:15:52now. And this game has true meaning.
- 1:15:54I am taking 5 1/2 points. Don't know who wins but 5 1/2 is
- 1:15:57too many and I'm taking Jacksonville.
- 1:16:00Yeah, it's the same time I got the Jaguars also.
- 1:16:04Thank God finally he's figured it out.
- 1:16:07Jabba. Shit.
- 1:16:14I. Was on his son's team, the
- 1:16:15Broncos. Yeah, I got the Broncos too.
- 1:16:17I think it'll be close. I'm not a Jaguars fan and I
- 1:16:20don't believe in treble warrants, even though he kicked
- 1:16:23the crap out of The Jets last week.
- 1:16:24So yeah, I'm going Broncos. All right, final one will be
- 1:16:28West Side, the team you rooted for when you were growing up,
- 1:16:30the Chicago Bears hosting Green Bay Packers.
- 1:16:32The bears are currently one point favorite.
- 1:16:34The spread I think started with the Packers ahead and then the
- 1:16:36bears I think are now the favorites.
- 1:16:38Good for you. Basically, I pick them in this
- 1:16:40spot though. I think the pressure, I think
- 1:16:42the Packers have handled the pressure a little more obviously
- 1:16:44with Jordan Love in this core right now.
- 1:16:46Chicago's win a lot of close games.
- 1:16:48I think they're due to lose 1 tight one here.
- 1:16:50So even with Parsons out, I am going to take the Packers.
- 1:16:56The Bears have some injuries at wide receiver, so that concerns
- 1:17:02me here coming off of the the performance that the Bears had
- 1:17:05against the Packers the last time they played.
- 1:17:08These two teams are both at a quality where you would expect a
- 1:17:10split in the division. The Packers are coming off of
- 1:17:14something of an embarrassing loss.
- 1:17:16They don't have like a Parsons and the Bears are coming off of
- 1:17:20a situation or they're going into a situation where it's it's
- 1:17:26looking like a doomsday. He's not going to play and and
- 1:17:28Burden might possibly be a game time decision.
- 1:17:33I'm still going to take the Bears here just because the
- 1:17:36Packers will not be able to get the same pressure on Caleb
- 1:17:38Williams. And Caleb is very responsible
- 1:17:41with the football. Like normally with quarterbacks
- 1:17:44that are trying to find their way.
- 1:17:45They're reckless and they throw picks and commit turnovers.
- 1:17:48Caleb has not done that at all. So I don't have to lay very many
- 1:17:53points. This one's in Chicago, I think.
- 1:17:56I think this rivalry is due for a split and and the Bears are a
- 1:17:59very good team. Freaking daily lives.
- 1:18:06I got, I got the, I got the Bears.
- 1:18:08I think the bears, obviously they're a great team.
- 1:18:11So I got I got the spout Bears all.
- 1:18:12Right, we got to the coin. Tail all.
- 1:18:20Right, Java's on the Packers. Yeah, I'm definitely going with
- 1:18:23the pack. I I can't see the Bears winning,
- 1:18:26I can't see the pairs winning. So I'm going with the pack
- 1:18:29again. back-to-back games, baby. back-to-back games.
- 1:18:32Give me the pack. All right, that's it for this
- 1:18:34week of Speedy 6 Pack. And I will say, and I think, I
- 1:18:38think the fact that losing Michael Parsons and, and I know
- 1:18:42everybody keeps saying that because they lost Michael
- 1:18:44Parsons, they they're not going to have a chance to go to the
- 1:18:48Super Bowl this year. I think they're going to play
- 1:18:49even better because Michael Parson's gone.
- 1:18:51They're going to find ways to put more pressure on the
- 1:18:54quarterbacks who they're playing against.
- 1:18:56I think Caleb Williams is going to be running for his dear life.
- 1:18:59And I know a guy like Wes is not going to want to hear this
- 1:19:02because he is a Bears fan. But I think this is I think the
- 1:19:06Packers are going to win. I still think the Bears are
- 1:19:08going to win the division, but I think the Packers win.
- 1:19:11So there you go. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:19:15we got. Let's parlay.
- 1:19:25It's time for Let's parlay. All right, so ladies and
- 1:19:30gentlemen, before we get into the West picks, he's going to
- 1:19:33give you 4 of his top picks. He's going to give you 3 picks
- 1:19:36and his parlay. Again, I want to mention his
- 1:19:39discipline. Sports betting book.
- 1:19:41We're good. We're working on something right
- 1:19:43now. If you're a sports betting man
- 1:19:45or woman, we're going to have something up on our website at
- 1:19:48the worldwidesportsradio.com. You can check it out.
- 1:19:52Well, we're working on something.
- 1:19:54You can buy the book or you can actually we could get something
- 1:19:58that right, unless you're working on something that
- 1:20:01somebody could read the book to you, right?
- 1:20:03Yes, I'm not. I'm looking at it right now in a
- 1:20:06PDF. The manuscripts been, you know,
- 1:20:08it's in with the publisher like it's, I mean, I, I could send it
- 1:20:13to you right now if you said send me the book.
- 1:20:15So I'm we're going to be working on something and it like I said,
- 1:20:19I know there's a lot of sports betters out there and there's a
- 1:20:23lot of books out there, but this man has been working on it since
- 1:20:26COVID. He wanted to really be
- 1:20:29particular on how he wants to bring from 1, you know, put from
- 1:20:331 chapter to another on and how to you know, he has a way of
- 1:20:37doing and and investing in his money into units for sports
- 1:20:41betting. And he has a way of doing it
- 1:20:44where he's going to help you win money, not lose money from
- 1:20:47Vegas. So this is a must buy when it
- 1:20:51comes to books. So we'll have it posted on the
- 1:20:53worldwide sports radio network where you can buy it PDF where
- 1:20:57it could be read to you and you could just sit and hang out at
- 1:21:01your friend's house playing video games and listen to it.
- 1:21:04Or you could be driving, you know, a truck or whatever you do
- 1:21:07in your spare time driving around and you want to listen to
- 1:21:10it. This is a must book that you
- 1:21:13would want to buy. And it's Christmas time.
- 1:21:14Why not get the book? So we'll have it up on the
- 1:21:17worldwidesportsradio.com network page.
- 1:21:22There you go. All right, Wes, you ready?
- 1:21:24I am. I am.
- 1:21:25Let's get it. Give us your top. 4 Let's go.
- 1:21:28We're going to do NFL. Yeah, we're going to do NFL
- 1:21:32first, and I talked about it on our prior segment.
- 1:21:34But I one of my hottest plays of the week is the Jacksonville
- 1:21:37Jaguars at at 5 1/2. I get to, I get the points here.
- 1:21:42A sneaky stat that nobody quite realizes is Jacksonville Jaguars
- 1:21:48are #1 or #2 in rush defense and rushing yardage allowed.
- 1:21:54Which is wild to think that when you're playing against Denver,
- 1:21:57if they put Phoenix in an awkward position, right?
- 1:22:00Phoenix has been the biggest question mark that the media has
- 1:22:03or that fans have against Denver.
- 1:22:06You know, has he proven this? Can you do it on the stage?
- 1:22:09Well, when you're playing against the number one rushing
- 1:22:13defense in the in the league, there is no escape route.
- 1:22:16Bonex has to be the thing that scores the point.
- 1:22:19So I really like that component of Jacksonville.
- 1:22:21I truly believe that Trevor Lawrence right now is playing
- 1:22:24like a top five quarterback. And I'm giving the credit to the
- 1:22:28to the coach Liam Cohn, who ready he's he's playing loose.
- 1:22:31He's using his legs. I don't know that Jacksonville
- 1:22:34wins the game, but I think 5 1/2 is too many, especially coming
- 1:22:38off of that huge spot that Denver was just in in that
- 1:22:41Packers game. So I also think that if Micah
- 1:22:45Parsons finished that game, it would have looked a little bit
- 1:22:48different too for for Denver. So give me the 5 1/2 points on
- 1:22:52what I believe is a very impressive Jags.
- 1:22:56All right, give us your number 2.
- 1:22:58Let's go to college. I'm going to pull it up real
- 1:23:00quick. I want to make sure that I have
- 1:23:01my notes. A lot of meaningless football
- 1:23:04games going on in college and a lot of meaningless football
- 1:23:10games going on in college and I am going to jump on a meaningful
- 1:23:141 and I'm wearing this shirt and I'm going to take Alabama.
- 1:23:16I that was a close game in other than a few moments that that
- 1:23:22really changed the game. I don't understand this
- 1:23:24controversy with Caitlin de Boer and where he's going.
- 1:23:27He's the coach of Alabama. There's there.
- 1:23:31The university in Ann Arbor is not a better job right now.
- 1:23:34There is some ugliness that needs to be cleaned up.
- 1:23:37I don't get it. I think that there's some
- 1:23:40players on that Alabama roster that are just, they weigh
- 1:23:43outclass what the Oklahoma players can do now.
- 1:23:49They don't feel like a Oklahoma team of the past, but we're
- 1:23:53talking about 1 1/2 points. I like Bama by a touchdown in
- 1:23:57this situation. Caitlin De Boer has been in
- 1:23:59playoff scenarios before. I think that if we get to a
- 1:24:03place where where Oklahoma needs some points versus needing a
- 1:24:06stop, Brent Venables isn't going to know what to do in those
- 1:24:09scenarios. I think that Mitts here might be
- 1:24:12a little confused in this game, although I do think he's the
- 1:24:14best quarterback in the country. I think that he is better than
- 1:24:17the gentleman that just won the Heisman.
- 1:24:19Arrow you and I had to talk offline about that.
- 1:24:21But but give me Bam and I'm gonna lay 1 1/2.
- 1:24:23We did a call your shot last week.
- 1:24:25We were make prediction. I predicted either one of those
- 1:24:27teams to beat Indiana. All right, give me your #3.
- 1:24:32I'm staying in college and this is one that people might not
- 1:24:35agree with, but I am taking Miami outright to win the game.
- 1:24:39The smart play is that you take the 3 1/2 points, but this is
- 1:24:4311:00. This is this is in College
- 1:24:46Station. So it's going to be over 100K
- 1:24:48fans. It's going to be loud.
- 1:24:50The building is going to be shaking and all of those things.
- 1:24:52But I got to say it, yes, Texas A&M when 11 and 1, you have to
- 1:24:58look at who they did it against. They barely beat Notre Dame,
- 1:25:02who's not a playoff team right now.
- 1:25:03And they allowed forty points out of Notre Dame earlier in the
- 1:25:06season. That is the big win that they're
- 1:25:08hanging their hat on. They played against a very weak
- 1:25:11SEC schedule. They're, they're getting credit
- 1:25:14for going to LSU, which was a very broken team, really broken
- 1:25:19team led by an ass clown that got fired.
- 1:25:23You're, you're looking at, you know, they're getting credit for
- 1:25:27beating #22 Missouri. I speedy is Missouri even ranked
- 1:25:31right now? They went, they, they played 31
- 1:25:36to 30 against South Carolina. I'm sorry, Carson Beck or not,
- 1:25:40this Miami team is dangerous. And so I, I think Miami's going
- 1:25:46to go into this, this game and I, I believe that it might be
- 1:25:50close for a minute. And then it's just going to be
- 1:25:53belt to booty and, and Miami is going to take over this game.
- 1:25:58And as a as a die hard Buckeye fan, I am welcoming Miami to to
- 1:26:06buck around and find out. All right, give us your final
- 1:26:10pick of the week. Final pick, I got to go back to
- 1:26:16it, so this is a strange one, but I'm going to go to the FCS
- 1:26:25and this is a rivalry game and these two teams are playing each
- 1:26:31other again, Montana and Montana State.
- 1:26:35I'm actually going to take Montana State in this game.
- 1:26:38They are, I apologize, I'm taking Montana in this game.
- 1:26:42I'm taking the 5 1/2 points they won last game.
- 1:26:46They are the better team. Somehow there are 5 5 1/2 point
- 1:26:49dog I'm taking the Grizz in a playoff rivalry FCS game.
- 1:26:56All right, ladies and gentlemen, those are Wes's picks of the
- 1:27:00week. Again, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:27:03we're working on posting it up on a website,
- 1:27:06worldwidesportsradio.com where you can buy Wes's book.
- 1:27:11If you're a betting man or woman, if you're you're, you're
- 1:27:14anything to do, if you have anything to do with sports
- 1:27:17betting, you can check it out. This discipline, sports betting.
- 1:27:20He's been working on it for the last, I would say five years and
- 1:27:23he's it's going to be up. Well, it is up on prime.
- 1:27:26It's going to be up on the worldwide Sports Radio network.
- 1:27:28It's going to be up on West W is going to have it posted up in
- 1:27:31many different areas where you can buy the book.
- 1:27:33But we are going all the fans right now.
- 1:27:36If you're a sports betting fan, we'll have it posted up on a
- 1:27:40website where you can buy the PDF and you can buy the book on
- 1:27:44the worldwidesportsradio.com website.
- 1:27:49And by the way, this past month we hit 32,000 people that have
- 1:27:53been out in and out of our website.
- 1:27:55And my latest story, Speedy, you have my latest story. 12,209
- 1:28:00views. 12,209 views. I've been posting up a story
- 1:28:05every single day and it'll be connected to this book
- 1:28:09discipline, sports betting. So when you go to all my
- 1:28:12stories, all the fans that are going to go in and out of my
- 1:28:15stories to read them, they're going to see this blinking.
- 1:28:18So if you're we will make sure that.
- 1:28:20It will be seen. And I gotta say, those stories,
- 1:28:26they're very well written. Error.
- 1:28:27Thank you. They're really well written.
- 1:28:30They're a little bit old school, but they're about as subtle as a
- 1:28:35punch in the mouth. And it takes a lot of balls to
- 1:28:38say the things that you're saying.
- 1:28:40You've offended nobody, but you're, you're, you're, you're
- 1:28:43attacking general media and using very specific shows and
- 1:28:48very specific outlets as the example of where the world is
- 1:28:52going. And it takes a lot of balls and
- 1:28:54everything is really well written.
- 1:28:56I, I got, I got to give you a lot of credit, man, I'm really
- 1:28:58proud to read that kind of material and having a friend
- 1:29:01that's writing that kind of stuff.
- 1:29:03It's it's, it's a cool thing. I will say this and I've been, I
- 1:29:06write every single day because I'm not working a full time
- 1:29:08right now and I want to make sure that people see that I have
- 1:29:12things out there. If you're not listening to the
- 1:29:14show, you have an outlet to check out my craziness in my
- 1:29:17stories. I've been working really,
- 1:29:19really, really, really hard with my stories and my writing skills
- 1:29:23so people can come, come and check me out.
- 1:29:25I want to thank Mark Everett Kelly for, you know, give me
- 1:29:28some tips on how I can attack it and my storytelling.
- 1:29:31And now I've just been putting it out every single day.
- 1:29:34I got a new one, Speedy. Why don't you tell the fans?
- 1:29:36Yes, he's got another one on the New York Knicks, the NBA Cup
- 1:29:40champions, and why Knicks fans will probably overreact like
- 1:29:42they won a championship, a regular championship.
- 1:29:45Yes. So it's a funny, funny article,
- 1:29:48Yes. Did you do, coward?
- 1:29:52I didn't do that yet, but I'm going to do that.
- 1:29:54I know you want me to to go after Colin Cowherd and I am
- 1:29:58going to do that. That's going to happen this
- 1:30:00weekend. I do that.
- 1:30:01I have stories that I'm trying to figure out how to do it on
- 1:30:04the weekend or what should I write about on the weekend.
- 1:30:06That is one of my stories this coming weekend I'm going to
- 1:30:09write about. Well, I wasn't poking you or.
- 1:30:11Prompt No, I don't go. After him, he's he's one of my
- 1:30:15favorites and I actually like that he says the thing that most
- 1:30:17people don't. So I I'm interested.
- 1:30:20I'm just interested in your brutal, no, no hold barred take
- 1:30:23on his show and and what the climate of the world has has
- 1:30:28formed that into because he was very different 15 years ago, you
- 1:30:33know, on ESPN then he's been on Fox.
- 1:30:35So I'm interested in the arrow marks take on it.
- 1:30:37I am going to attack him from the past to now and I've I've
- 1:30:42listened to Colin Cowherd for a very, very long time and he is
- 1:30:46the Mel Kiper of broadcasters. This guy has come up with some
- 1:30:51takes that have you shaking your head just like Mel Kiper when it
- 1:30:55comes to the draft. And that's all I'm going to tell
- 1:30:58you with my take on Colin. Colin Cowherd.
- 1:31:02I will attack him this weekend. Beware, ladies and gentlemen, if
- 1:31:06you're a Colin Cowherd fan, beware that I am going to go
- 1:31:09straight after him, so be ready. That's all I'm going to say.
- 1:31:13Thank you, my friend. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
- 1:31:18Yeah, I'll talk to you tomorrow, guys.
- 1:31:20All right, ladies and gentlemen, that is the one and very, very
- 1:31:24only worldwide W He's been on our show many, many times.
- 1:31:28This guy's book go check it out. Discipline sports betting.
- 1:31:32I promise, I promise you guys, it's a must read.
- 1:31:34I haven't even read it yet, but I'm going to read it.
- 1:31:37I'm not a sports better, but I can tell you this, this man
