- 0:00Speaker 1: Here he is here, he is. I was just washing
- 0:06Speaker 1: my hands and I started singing Season two, Season two?
- 0:12Speaker 1: Who you know what? You know what that song is? No?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Who are you on? Have you season two? Jesus Christ Superstar?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Come on? Donald? Oh, I'm not up on that one.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You're not up on Jesus Christ Superstar. No. My brother
- 0:23Speaker 1: even performed it in high school. He played Jesus in
- 0:27Speaker 1: it too, and Nope. John Legend's version was amazing. I
- 0:31Speaker 1: don't know if they did a whole live thing. I saw.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I didn't see it the thing, but I saw a
- 0:38Speaker 1: little part of this one person singing the song, and
- 0:41Speaker 1: he was singing so passionately. He was a bald guy,
- 0:45Speaker 1: very big gentleman, and he was singing so passionately. Uh yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I think he was playing Judas. Was he playing? Yes?
- 0:51Speaker 1: I forgot the name of that actor. Yes, too, Well
- 0:54Speaker 1: you looked up for me. He's amazing. I think he
- 0:56Speaker 1: won the Emmy for it because it was a broadcast thing,
- 1:00Speaker 1: but it was really good. It was I mean, if
- 1:02Speaker 1: you like musicals and you haven't watched that listeners, I
- 1:06Speaker 1: encourage you to check it out because it was Fuego
- 1:11Speaker 1: was um um Mary dude? She's amazing too. I love
- 1:15Speaker 1: her song A love song Brandon Victor Dixon. This man
- 1:21Speaker 1: is such a good actor and such a good singer.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Holy shit. Yes, Sarah Barrellis uh can do no wrong
- 1:27Speaker 1: by me. Let me tell you. I do like her music,
- 1:31Speaker 1: and I like the story. I do like the story
- 1:33Speaker 1: behind that song too. I'm not gonna ride to a
- 1:36Speaker 1: love song. I like the story behind that too. Where
- 1:38Speaker 1: the label read a love song right and she was
- 1:41Speaker 1: she She's like, I don't want to write love song.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So she wrote that song and it became her biggest
- 1:46Speaker 1: song ever. But but she wrote this the musical Waitress,
- 1:49Speaker 1: which is just incredible and uh and man, she's just
- 1:53Speaker 1: so talented. I love her music. I love her music.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Did you ever see the movie Waitress? Yeah? I loved it. Yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 1: Carrie Russell, Carrie Russell and m Yeah. You know that
- 2:03Speaker 1: song I Choose You by Sarborellis. No, really, it's a
- 2:09Speaker 1: really good song. I don't know that one. I'm not
- 2:12Speaker 1: going to sing it for you. I don't know season two. Yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 1: but check this out, dude. A lot of things happen
- 2:17Speaker 1: in between season one and season two. So many things happened.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Speaking of musicals. Do you remember the season two musical
- 2:24Speaker 1: we had to do for the NBC Upfronts was yes, Yes,
- 2:30Speaker 1: so tell everyone that story. We were a big hit,
- 2:32Speaker 1: by the way, I just read, by the way that
- 2:34Speaker 1: season two I read this on Scrubs wiki was our
- 2:38Speaker 1: biggest rating season? Was this after we followed Friends? Though
- 2:44Speaker 1: I don't know, but maybe yes. Scrubs originally aired season
- 2:47Speaker 1: two between September two thousand and two and April two
- 2:50Speaker 1: thousand and three on NBC at averaged fifteen point nine
- 2:54Speaker 1: four million viewers per episode. That's insane. Now, for those
- 2:58Speaker 1: of you who don't know, nobody'd been number we'd be
- 3:01Speaker 1: number one on television, right, bigger than Fall now. But
- 3:05Speaker 1: neither one of us would have got canceled if we
- 3:07Speaker 1: got those numbers, I know, sixteen million people. You just
- 3:11Speaker 1: don't get ratings like that anymore. And that was our
- 3:13Speaker 1: So this was our most watched season, right, well, great,
- 3:17Speaker 1: great start to the season too. The episode is amazing anyway,
- 3:19Speaker 1: so yeah, go ahead tell them. So we find out
- 3:22Speaker 1: that we're getting picked up and we have to go
- 3:24Speaker 1: to Upfronts again, and all I can remember is, dude,
- 3:28Speaker 1: last year's Upfronts was so amazing. We'd already spent the
- 3:31Speaker 1: summer together, so I don't even I don't even think
- 3:33Speaker 1: we I guess we had started shooting. I don't know,
- 3:36Speaker 1: but I remember being like, holy cow, upfronts again, this
- 3:40Speaker 1: is gonna be the best night, so much fun. We
- 3:43Speaker 1: were exciting and uh and they said, hey, good news.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Um they're gonna do a sort of a musical number
- 3:49Speaker 1: and you guys are going to be the star of it.
- 3:52Speaker 1: And and it was. It ended up being humiliating, right,
- 3:55Speaker 1: it was the song you you didn't you did not
- 3:58Speaker 1: like it at all, but the song was you know,
- 4:01Speaker 1: the song was from back in a day, just to
- 4:04Speaker 1: remind people, just to remind people, this is like a basically,
- 4:08Speaker 1: it's a it's a it's a convention where where they're
- 4:11Speaker 1: gonna sell the show to advertisers. And we're like the
- 4:15Speaker 1: convention entertainment And they've taken the song ain't no stopping
- 4:18Speaker 1: Us Now and put lyrics about selling the show to
- 4:22Speaker 1: advertisers in right. No, they no, they put it into
- 4:24Speaker 1: they put they made the lyrics about how we were
- 4:28Speaker 1: coming back for season two. So instead of it ain't
- 4:31Speaker 1: no stopping is now, We're wrong to move they became
- 4:39Speaker 1: ain't us Now We've been renewed. Yeah, yeah, And then
- 4:45Speaker 1: then remember this one, scrub ain't gonna get scrubbed. We
- 4:50Speaker 1: got see the two. Yeah, someone wrote the genius lyrics
- 4:54Speaker 1: scrubs ain't gonna get scrubbed. We've been renewed. No, we
- 5:01Speaker 1: got seven two? Okay? And then do you remember any
- 5:04Speaker 1: more the lyrics? That's all I remember, But I remember
- 5:06Speaker 1: we all had a verse and something. Some of it
- 5:08Speaker 1: was like Scott Sassa wasn't no fast, something like Scott Sassa,
- 5:14Speaker 1: who was the who was the president or something at
- 5:15Speaker 1: the time. He's like Scott Sasa is so sassy or
- 5:17Speaker 1: something like that, something like that, something crazy. But it
- 5:19Speaker 1: was like a Vega It was like a fucking Vegas number.
- 5:22Speaker 1: It was humiliating. We came out on we came out
- 5:24Speaker 1: on gurneys. They pushed us out on gurneys and there
- 5:27Speaker 1: were dancers all around us. It was like it was
- 5:29Speaker 1: like a like a convention Vegas number, and we had
- 5:33Speaker 1: dance moves and everything. We had to rehearse a lot.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And remember we did it in front of Megan Uh,
- 5:38Speaker 1: Megan Malali and h jay Leno Jay Leno showed up
- 5:42Speaker 1: in the middle of I think they had yeah, And
- 5:44Speaker 1: then I remember in rehearsal we had to It was
- 5:46Speaker 1: so humiliating. We had to like we were like bumping
- 5:49Speaker 1: butts like on the side, like there was like and
- 5:52Speaker 1: I remember I had to bump Chining seas um butt
- 5:55Speaker 1: and I want I bumped him too hard ones and
- 5:57Speaker 1: he got really mad at me that I that I
- 6:00Speaker 1: hit I hit his butt too hard. Maybe Johnny got
- 6:02Speaker 1: a bad hip and never told us no. I think
- 6:04Speaker 1: I just was. I think that there was supposed to
- 6:06Speaker 1: be a gentle hip bump, and I just I went
- 6:09Speaker 1: too hard. And I remember Johnny giving me a look like,
- 6:12Speaker 1: bump my hip like that again. I'll fucking kill you. You
- 6:14Speaker 1: You took it too hard. Bangunna, we've been dude. I
- 6:22Speaker 1: wonder if I'm sure there is I'm sure there is
- 6:25Speaker 1: video of that. I'm sure if you look it up
- 6:27Speaker 1: some well, now you know what, somebody somewhere has that
- 6:31Speaker 1: on video. And I remember when I was a kid
- 6:34Speaker 1: and I would do stuff like that. I would try
- 6:36Speaker 1: to get that video so I could put it on
- 6:39Speaker 1: my reel. When I was auditioning for things like YO.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I was also in the NBC upfront. You know what
- 6:46Speaker 1: I mean? Did you ever do that? Did you ever
- 6:49Speaker 1: have a reel before? Yeah? Worse. Back in the day,
- 6:52Speaker 1: you had to have a reel and when I suppose
- 6:55Speaker 1: actors do these days as well. But now I guess
- 6:59Speaker 1: with the Internet, everyone one you can just you can
- 7:01Speaker 1: look on YouTube or Vimeo for people's reels. But at
- 7:04Speaker 1: the time, we had to, like you assemble on videotape.
- 7:07Speaker 1: You're a reel of your work, and you'd have to
- 7:10Speaker 1: like literally record it from the television. Could you know
- 7:14Speaker 1: what I mean? At least at least at least a
- 7:16Speaker 1: video camera on the TV. Well no, no, no, if
- 7:19Speaker 1: you had a r you have to literally tape it
- 7:21Speaker 1: off the television and then edit it together. I remember
- 7:25Speaker 1: doing all this. You could never get your ship from like,
- 7:27Speaker 1: no one was going to send it to you. Yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 1: the studio wouldn't send it to you for you. So
- 7:31Speaker 1: our ring tone is live. Finally, everybody, you can finally
- 7:35Speaker 1: get the song live. There's been a little controversy with
- 7:40Speaker 1: the missing mmmmm. Come on. Dan has sent them the
- 7:44Speaker 1: updated version, but a lot of people have said, where
- 7:47Speaker 1: we updated it. Dan just sent me a text that's
- 7:50Speaker 1: saying he sent the updated Are you allowed to update
- 7:52Speaker 1: ring tones? Dan? Dan? Why are you talking? Why? I'm sorry,
- 7:59Speaker 1: it's not even the this time. I just had it up. Yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you can update the ring tone if you want to.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Um and I you know, we'll see if they added
- 8:04Speaker 1: as another option, whether it's like a second option versus no.
- 8:08Speaker 1: But that version has been seven all. I just want
- 8:10Speaker 1: everyone to know because there was a lot of beautiful
- 8:12Speaker 1: requests for our theme song to be a ring tone.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It took a while for some reason, but we made
- 8:18Speaker 1: it happen. It's on Android, uh an Apple, and you
- 8:21Speaker 1: can get it by going to our Instagram links. I hope,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I hope Donald you put it up. I did put
- 8:28Speaker 1: the bio. Just click on the bio, or you can
- 8:30Speaker 1: look at our my Twitter I put it up there,
- 8:32Speaker 1: or of course you can just google Fake Doctor's Real
- 8:35Speaker 1: Friends theme song ring tone. But we're very excited. But yeah,
- 8:39Speaker 1: so I saw in the comments a lot of people
- 8:41Speaker 1: were like, why don't mmmm, And I was like, fucking Dan,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you didn't put them mm on. And then because he
- 8:50Speaker 1: is the one who sent them the fucking file, what
- 8:52Speaker 1: do you think, Oh, Joel, you did. It's totally me. Yeah,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I don't want to be mad at Joel. I want
- 8:58Speaker 1: to fund at me mad a Dan right here, it's
- 9:06Speaker 1: way more fun. I liked you well too much. I
- 9:09Speaker 1: want about it, Dan, listen. So then I was like
- 9:12Speaker 1: reading all the comments today. First of all, I couldn't
- 9:14Speaker 1: get the link right, and everyone's like, the link doesn't work,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and I was like filings an asshole. Finally I get
- 9:18Speaker 1: it right and people are like, where the fuck is
- 9:20Speaker 1: the mmmm and I'm like, fucking Daniel, Dan, I'm glad
- 9:23Speaker 1: you didn't put them because now there's two versions out there.
- 9:27Speaker 1: There's the original version and then there's the remix. That's
- 9:30Speaker 1: how you, that's how you. Oh, it's a remix. We
- 9:33Speaker 1: should have dropped it later, like the remix. But well,
- 9:36Speaker 1: then I saw people The comments were so funny. People
- 9:38Speaker 1: were like, can we get them separate because I want
- 9:41Speaker 1: that to be like my text alert. Oh wow yo, Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 1: you're gonna have to send them another one, yeah, send
- 9:51Speaker 1: them another one another, one another, one another. We keep dropping,
- 9:57Speaker 1: we keep dropping ring tones another Zach another one another one. Yeah.
- 10:04Speaker 1: That's how we go. That's how we drop our ring tones.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Now there's now there's Bill saying five six, seven eight,
- 10:09Speaker 1: another one, another one. We're gonna do it. That's it,
- 10:12Speaker 1: it's done. Another one. Now you can buy the best
- 10:16Speaker 1: we the best ring tones were the best ring tones.
- 10:21Speaker 1: M M yeah, dude. Do you remember the summer because
- 10:27Speaker 1: I remember the summer very well. Yeah, after we wrapped, Wait,
- 10:31Speaker 1: before we move on, shouldn't we sing it? Shouldn't you
- 10:33Speaker 1: sing us in your season two? Oh? My bad, Bob?
- 10:36Speaker 1: Six seven eights? Well that wasn't very enthusiastic. This is
- 10:39Speaker 1: the beginning of season two. Bro, you know something mine,
- 10:42Speaker 1: pretend you to just get off your angry peloton. Guy,
- 10:44Speaker 1: you know something? Man? Seven eight? Stories about sure? We
- 10:50Speaker 1: made about nurses? Stories should Yeah, everybody's ears are like
- 11:12Speaker 1: this right now. Don't you're drinking a beer? Huh? Just
- 11:15Speaker 1: a little beer at one? Listen, man, you drinking dent
- 11:21Speaker 1: You drinking some quarantine doing a little day drinking quarantine style. Well,
- 11:24Speaker 1: we're all back in the house, aren't we. Oh man,
- 11:26Speaker 1: we're so fucked in La here we go. We're so fucked.
- 11:29Speaker 1: It's worse we go. It's worse we go. We need
- 11:32Speaker 1: to live in a bubble. Remember that John Travolta thing
- 11:34Speaker 1: where he lived in a bubble. Yeah, man, we need
- 11:37Speaker 1: that around our houses. Yeah, we're back in. We're so fucked.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It's worse than ever. Yeah, you know, and and and
- 11:45Speaker 1: everybody was very out. I was very optimistic about reopening
- 11:49Speaker 1: and everything. We're the fucking masks. Man, Do you think
- 11:53Speaker 1: it's the masks? I think we just reopened too fast.
- 11:55Speaker 1: You know, Dan, you're so knowledgeable about this ship. Here's
- 12:00Speaker 1: the thing, though, you shit on them and you've made
- 12:03Speaker 1: them feel like shit, and now you're going to them
- 12:05Speaker 1: for the information. I love him, but when everyone says
- 12:08Speaker 1: there's no m I was like, this fucking guy, and
- 12:10Speaker 1: now I know it's Joel and I can't be managed
- 12:12Speaker 1: you while I love her too much. So I'm just lost.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I don't know what to do with myself now. Then
- 12:20Speaker 1: is it a mask no one's wearing? It's both. I mean, look,
- 12:24Speaker 1: this is this is a systemic problem. We are in
- 12:28Speaker 1: the middle of dealing with systemic issues in huge, huge quantities,
- 12:32Speaker 1: and unfortunately it's all collapsing at once. Our economy is
- 12:36Speaker 1: such that, like back in two thousand and eight when
- 12:39Speaker 1: the housing crisis happened, we changed rules so that we
- 12:42Speaker 1: couldn't make that mistake anymore. But banks are just finding
- 12:45Speaker 1: other ways to pick up debt from other things, and
- 12:48Speaker 1: instead of mortgages, this time it's businesses. And they're like,
- 12:51Speaker 1: surely this won't go bad, because a ship ton of
- 12:53Speaker 1: businesses won't go out of business all at once. And
- 12:56Speaker 1: now here we are, so the economy is crashing at
- 12:59Speaker 1: the exact same time this COVID thing is happening. So
- 13:01Speaker 1: people are like, we need to reopen the economy so
- 13:04Speaker 1: that we don't go into absolute critical red mode. And
- 13:07Speaker 1: by doing that, we had an incredible spike in cases
- 13:10Speaker 1: because people were like, we need to ope economy, we
- 13:12Speaker 1: need to get bars, we need to get blah blah
- 13:14Speaker 1: blah blah blah open, and people were so hungry just
- 13:16Speaker 1: to like get back out there again with no masks
- 13:19Speaker 1: and none of the proper equipment and no proper social distancing.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And so we are paying the price, I mean, we're
- 13:23Speaker 1: paying the price for so many years of not paying
- 13:25Speaker 1: attention to what super rich people have been doing to
- 13:27Speaker 1: this country, and unfortunately it's all unfolding once. That's truly unfortunate.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Well said, you're well said, and it's very upsetting. But
- 13:37Speaker 1: we're here to cheer people up, so we should change
- 13:39Speaker 1: the subject right, Donald, Absolutely, do you want to five
- 13:41Speaker 1: six seven eight it again? No, but I kind of
- 13:43Speaker 1: want to just do a quick I just kind of
- 13:45Speaker 1: want to sadly say it five six seven eight Okay,
- 13:54Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Anyway, this summer between season one and
- 13:58Speaker 1: season two, Donald and I live together. We've told you
- 14:00Speaker 1: this before, but we lived together in a loft in Soho, Manhattan. Yes,
- 14:05Speaker 1: where are our neighbor was? Our neighbor Tan Amy Tan?
- 14:11Speaker 1: And she really didn't like all the ruckis we were making,
- 14:13Speaker 1: which I understand. You live in a very expensive loft
- 14:15Speaker 1: and two fucking yoyo heads rent above you. Anyway, we
- 14:20Speaker 1: were fun as hell, right, we were good times. In
- 14:22Speaker 1: New York. Donald was making a movie called What Doll.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I was making Uptown Girls? Uptown Girl. What was the
- 14:29Speaker 1: story of Uptown Girls? For those that down girls? Of
- 14:32Speaker 1: course most people will know, but those who don't know.
- 14:34Speaker 1: It was a story of a young entitled girl who
- 14:41Speaker 1: lost all of her money and had to become a
- 14:44Speaker 1: nanny to make ends meet Brittany Murphy, right, Marley Shelton,
- 14:50Speaker 1: Dakota Fanning. Myself had a locklear nas. This is the
- 14:56Speaker 1: first time I got to me's nas. Quite a you
- 15:00Speaker 1: other people and did you enjoy directed by Boas Yakim.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I totally enjoyed making the movie. At this point, I
- 15:07Speaker 1: got braces right inside of my mouth, and I got
- 15:10Speaker 1: them right before I started shooting this movie. So this
- 15:13Speaker 1: was your first movie with a lisp. I don't have
- 15:17Speaker 1: a lisp. But the crazy thing is I don't have
- 15:20Speaker 1: And we'll get to the episode soon. But even in
- 15:22Speaker 1: this episode this, I have the braces on in this
- 15:24Speaker 1: episode and I've noticed it, but I'm not sure everybody
- 15:27Speaker 1: else could notice it. Well, I remember you coming to
- 15:30Speaker 1: set and it sounded like you you had you had
- 15:33Speaker 1: a lisp, And I remember Bill being like, what the
- 15:35Speaker 1: fuck are you doing with Did you notice it in
- 15:38Speaker 1: the show? I didn't. You did not notice? Didn't show?
- 15:42Speaker 1: This is the We could go right to Bill right now, Bill,
- 15:44Speaker 1: did you make me come back in and redo? Did
- 15:47Speaker 1: I have to a d R the first episode of
- 15:51Speaker 1: the season because or the first few episodes of the season,
- 15:55Speaker 1: because of the braces that I had put on the
- 15:57Speaker 1: inside of my mouth. After season one of Scrubs, after
- 16:00Speaker 1: the summer of Scrubs, I remember here because Donald came
- 16:04Speaker 1: back excited because his teeth, I mean his teeth did
- 16:08Speaker 1: look great. They still look great, but he was like,
- 16:11Speaker 1: so the cool thing. You can't even see the breakers
- 16:15Speaker 1: And because he had like big honk embraces that were
- 16:18Speaker 1: behind his teeth so they wouldn't show on camera, but
- 16:21Speaker 1: it made him sound like Sylvester the cartoon cat. And
- 16:25Speaker 1: there was definitely some loop in there. But hey, the
- 16:28Speaker 1: results are great, Faison, I love him, I love you guys. Well,
- 16:32Speaker 1: thank you, Bill. I don't remember, but I do remember
- 16:36Speaker 1: that I remember laughing at you, being like, what the
- 16:38Speaker 1: hell are you thinking? Because they were on the inside
- 16:39Speaker 1: of your teeth and you seem to have changed. You
- 16:42Speaker 1: were like, you seem to have a speak a speech
- 16:44Speaker 1: impediment all of a sudden. Well, yeah, well, what were
- 16:48Speaker 1: you in New York for? I was doing a production
- 16:51Speaker 1: of twelfth Night in at the Delacorte Theater. What's twelfth
- 16:56Speaker 1: Night about? I'm not going to summarize Twelfth Night every
- 16:59Speaker 1: but um um, but if you ever get a chance
- 17:02Speaker 1: when the world's back open, dear listeners, you want to
- 17:06Speaker 1: go to the Delacourt Theater in Central Park in the summer.
- 17:08Speaker 1: It's a beautiful open air amphitheater where they do free
- 17:12Speaker 1: Shakespeare and um, you can google how to do it.
- 17:16Speaker 1: You get in line early in the morning and you
- 17:19Speaker 1: sort of have a picnic and you and you can
- 17:20Speaker 1: hang out with your friends and and if you're in
- 17:22Speaker 1: line early enough, you get these free tickets. And they
- 17:24Speaker 1: have great actors, uh that come and do the plays,
- 17:28Speaker 1: and I mean much bigger stars than me. I mean
- 17:31Speaker 1: Meryl Streep and Natalie Portman and all these super fancy
- 17:34Speaker 1: people have have performed there and uh, and they and
- 17:37Speaker 1: they do really really cool productions. Mine had Jimmy Smiths
- 17:42Speaker 1: and Christopher Lloyd and Kristin Johnston and UM, Julia Stiles
- 17:49Speaker 1: and UM. Actually David Harbor. Interestingly enough, over Platt Oliver
- 17:55Speaker 1: Platte Sterling Brown was originally in the show with me,
- 18:01Speaker 1: and then he broke his leg and the part was
- 18:04Speaker 1: taken over by David Harborow. So there's the level of
- 18:08Speaker 1: actors that are rolling through the delic court and um.
- 18:11Speaker 1: And by the way, so then when it rains, you
- 18:13Speaker 1: can't do the show obviously, and it rains a lot
- 18:15Speaker 1: in the summer in Manhattan, and so you kind of
- 18:17Speaker 1: are like, it's like a like in sports playing when
- 18:20Speaker 1: when they take a break right in baseball, halftime, halftime. No,
- 18:25Speaker 1: when when it rains in baseball, they pull out the
- 18:27Speaker 1: big delay. They pull out the big tarps. That's always fun.
- 18:31Speaker 1: That was my favorite part of going to the baseball game.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Move you'd see all the guys roll out the tarps.
- 18:39Speaker 1: So not the game went to the game, you were like,
- 18:42Speaker 1: please please make it rain so I could see the
- 18:45Speaker 1: guys rolling. I just thought the game to me was boring.
- 18:48Speaker 1: But when all the men came out and then did
- 18:51Speaker 1: a choreographed in unison like tarp release, I thought that
- 18:54Speaker 1: was beautiful. I also like it. I also like it
- 19:01Speaker 1: in this what is it the seventh inning when they
- 19:03Speaker 1: when they clean up the dirt, you know when they
- 19:07Speaker 1: do like the like they yeah, you know they're in
- 19:10Speaker 1: the seventh thing set when they jog and they have
- 19:11Speaker 1: their little screens they pull and they make the dirt
- 19:13Speaker 1: look pretty. Oh my god, I like that part too. Anyway,
- 19:17Speaker 1: So this is my story the um So. I had
- 19:20Speaker 1: written Garden State and I was trying to get it made,
- 19:22Speaker 1: and I knew that Natalie Portman had done a play.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I believe she had done the Seagull in at the
- 19:28Speaker 1: Delacourt in Central Park, and I thought, oh, here's a
- 19:31Speaker 1: good angle for my letter to her. I as it
- 19:33Speaker 1: was reigning outside, and I believe I was in the
- 19:36Speaker 1: same dressing room that she had been in, and I
- 19:38Speaker 1: wrote her a letter saying, dear Natalie, I'm writing to
- 19:41Speaker 1: you from dressing room whatever be at the Delacort Theater,
- 19:45Speaker 1: which I believe was yours during Seagull, and I want
- 19:48Speaker 1: to talk to you about this movie. So that was
- 19:49Speaker 1: sort of my inn and I wrote her this personal
- 19:51Speaker 1: note and which led to her saying, I love the script.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Let's have lunch, and and then we were off to
- 19:58Speaker 1: the races. But it all began there at the Court
- 20:00Speaker 1: Theater in Central Park. Dude, I remember that letter, and
- 20:03Speaker 1: I remember you reading the letter to me. I did, Yeah,
- 20:06Speaker 1: you did read the letter to me. And first of all,
- 20:08Speaker 1: it wasn't just a letter. You put your heart and
- 20:11Speaker 1: soul into this. You got it, you gotta be, you
- 20:13Speaker 1: gotta give it, you gotta lay it all out on
- 20:14Speaker 1: the line, no doubt. But this wasn't like like I
- 20:17Speaker 1: feel like, there were so many versions of this letter,
- 20:20Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and you read me like
- 20:22Speaker 1: one of the final versions. And I don't want to
- 20:24Speaker 1: get too far into details because it really is a
- 20:27Speaker 1: message between you and her, but it was well tied together.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You were like, it just started raining in the beginning
- 20:33Speaker 1: of the letter, and at the end of the letter
- 20:35Speaker 1: you were like, they're gonna call me soon. The rain
- 20:38Speaker 1: is just stopped, dude. It was so it was a
- 20:43Speaker 1: fucking you read you You recounting my writing to me
- 20:46Speaker 1: give me goose bumps. I always write. In fact, I'm
- 20:50Speaker 1: gonna write one today to an actress, you know, as
- 20:53Speaker 1: you know during Quarantine, I've been writing this new screenplay, um,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and I'm very excited about it, and it's time for
- 20:58Speaker 1: me to write one of those letters again, you know,
- 21:00Speaker 1: for those of you're not in the business when you're
- 21:02Speaker 1: when you're reaching out to a star that you might
- 21:04Speaker 1: you might know them as an acquaintance, but you might
- 21:06Speaker 1: not know them at all. You might and then you
- 21:09Speaker 1: chatted with their agent and then I said, and the
- 21:10Speaker 1: agent might love it, and they say, okay, well before
- 21:12Speaker 1: I give it to her, do you want to say
- 21:13Speaker 1: something to her or him? And uh, And you write
- 21:16Speaker 1: a note and it's sort of like an impassioned plea
- 21:19Speaker 1: to really consider it. And so I'm writing one of
- 21:23Speaker 1: those after this, after this that's great, dude. You know
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'm never I'm starting right now, dear Donald. But oh
- 21:29Speaker 1: fu yeah, I was about to say, I've never received
- 21:31Speaker 1: one of those notes. I'm really looking forward. You never have.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm sure you probably gotten an email, maybe like I
- 21:36Speaker 1: like to do it, like like old school, like handwritten.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But I'm sure maybe you've gotten an email like, dear Donald,
- 21:41Speaker 1: we love you for this, please consider it. Well uh yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: of course, yes, yes, but not a freaking handwritten Zach
- 21:50Speaker 1: Braff note to star in a movie. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 21:53Speaker 1: write you one. I'm looking forward to it this time.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna write you one for this movie. I've even done,
- 21:57Speaker 1: you know, because I collect some old school, old school typewriter.
- 22:00Speaker 1: There's like really old ones, and I've I've even done, like,
- 22:03Speaker 1: I've even typed them out on my old fucked up
- 22:05Speaker 1: typewriter because that that kind of looks cool. Let's put it.
- 22:07Speaker 1: This might be one step too far, I think. No,
- 22:10Speaker 1: with this particular actress, I might go handwritten. It's well,
- 22:13Speaker 1: that's fine too, but it's not too far. This is
- 22:16Speaker 1: what I think. Look if I had from nineteen seventy
- 22:21Speaker 1: something envelope with a letter in it, from Spielberg asking
- 22:28Speaker 1: me to be in Jaws go on. I would freaking
- 22:31Speaker 1: lose my ship, and I would I would have and
- 22:33Speaker 1: I still had it. It would be worth so much
- 22:36Speaker 1: to me. It's priceless. I have a letter from Spielberg.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You know that. That's why I'm bringing this up. I'm okay,
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm trying to segue into this thing. So you have
- 22:45Speaker 1: a letter from Spielberg. Really good segue, Donald Um. Yeah,
- 22:50Speaker 1: I have a letter from Spielberg. After Garden State. He
- 22:54Speaker 1: wrote me a personal note saying how much he loved it.
- 22:57Speaker 1: And it said something incredible like on behalf of so many,
- 23:00Speaker 1: I want to wellcommute the world of being a filmmaker
- 23:03Speaker 1: or something like that. I mean, I'm acting like I
- 23:05Speaker 1: don't have it memorized and I framed it. It's it's
- 23:09Speaker 1: up in my house because I cherish it, right, That's
- 23:12Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say. Was it on typewriter? I
- 23:14Speaker 1: don't think he typed it. It was like it was.
- 23:17Speaker 1: It's a typewritten letter. It's a physical letter, and I
- 23:20Speaker 1: don't think he sat there and typed it. You don't
- 23:23Speaker 1: know that. I don't know that that's true. I guess
- 23:25Speaker 1: in my head. I always assumed he dictated it to somebody.
- 23:28Speaker 1: This is what happened after Season one of Scrubs. Life
- 23:32Speaker 1: became My point is, life became different. Life became different.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Way to wrap it all around, Yeah, but it but
- 23:38Speaker 1: it really did, you know what I mean? Like I
- 23:39Speaker 1: went away and I did a movie that I didn't
- 23:41Speaker 1: have to audition for. Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I got to be in a movie with a bunch
- 23:45Speaker 1: of really phenomenal actresses and actors and a great director.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And life had changed for us at this point. Yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 1: we were feeling ourselves. I was popping around the city
- 23:56Speaker 1: to Michelle branches everywhere. Yeah. Man, I just listen to
- 24:00Speaker 1: that on my workout today on the treadmill. It really
- 24:02Speaker 1: is a good workout song. You know, everye to me
- 24:07Speaker 1: when I closed my eyes, it's you I see, and
- 24:12Speaker 1: there after I'm not alone. And then there's the one
- 24:15Speaker 1: after it um all you wanted. That's another good one.
- 24:18Speaker 1: If you want to, I can take you away from here.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you guys, listen to that jam. If you
- 24:26Speaker 1: likes so lonely inside, get it out there. Yeah, and
- 24:31Speaker 1: on you on and so I when I hear these songs,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I think of this summer because it was hot as
- 24:36Speaker 1: fucking balls in Manhattan, and I remember I had my
- 24:39Speaker 1: walk my walkman on that you that my yellow Walkman
- 24:41Speaker 1: that you told everybody about. And I just remember like
- 24:44Speaker 1: bopping around the city to Michelle Branch because that was
- 24:46Speaker 1: the summer. Those songs came out and I was like,
- 24:48Speaker 1: the song is fire. It might even been the summer
- 24:51Speaker 1: before that, but it's all good, dude, don't nobody's Nobody's
- 24:54Speaker 1: trip about it. No. I remember it was like one
- 24:57Speaker 1: of those you know, like when the summer comes out,
- 24:58Speaker 1: there's always like those big pops you're gonna hear nine
- 25:00Speaker 1: thousand times. I'm pretty sure you were late to the
- 25:03Speaker 1: pop jam of Everywhere, No Way, No Way, Joel, Please
- 25:07Speaker 1: look that up. What year did Everywhere come out? Wait
- 25:10Speaker 1: a second, I don't want you saying I wasn't on
- 25:11Speaker 1: the current jam, because I know what the current kids
- 25:14Speaker 1: are listening to. Okay, you know what they're listening to.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Now what are they listening to? Now? I have no
- 25:19Speaker 1: idea what to listen. I put on Hits one, two
- 25:23Speaker 1: thousand one, Donald We Air two thousand and one, right,
- 25:26Speaker 1: And this was the fucking summer of two thousand and two.
- 25:30Speaker 1: What month? What? Yeah? Thank you? Well, it was the
- 25:33Speaker 1: first summer that the song was available to bop two. Whatever, dude, whatever, dude,
- 25:38Speaker 1: break you away from here, take me away, Michelle Branch.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Let's take a break. We'll be right back after these
- 25:45Speaker 1: fine words. So look, My point is this, though, when
- 25:54Speaker 1: we come into this episode and we do the recap
- 25:57Speaker 1: and everything like that, and we're now in it. Yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I laughed so much at this episode. A lot of
- 26:03Speaker 1: very funny, very funny moments. Well, we were feeling ourselves
- 26:06Speaker 1: a little. We had a we had a pep in
- 26:08Speaker 1: our step. We were a bit of a hit show,
- 26:10Speaker 1: and we had had an epic summer and now it's
- 26:13Speaker 1: time for to get back into it. And you had
- 26:17Speaker 1: you know, did you have a mustache? Season one? I
- 26:21Speaker 1: don't think I did. Know. I'm not sure if I did.
- 26:23Speaker 1: It wasn't that as thick as it is. And I
- 26:25Speaker 1: didn't see your mole. Your mole is out in this episode,
- 26:28Speaker 1: and I don't remember it shining so brightly in other episodes.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Really did the mole grow? Well? Yeah, it used to
- 26:35Speaker 1: be like a little tiny dot when I was a kid,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and then as a grown man, it's become this monstrous
- 26:41Speaker 1: thing that grows hair. Oh yeah, we've talked about that,
- 26:44Speaker 1: and you have to shave the mole. The hair is
- 26:47Speaker 1: a little bit thicker that comes, you know what I mean,
- 26:49Speaker 1: it's a little tighter and save that mole now listen, um.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I thought this episode was very funny. I laughed so
- 26:57Speaker 1: many times, and a lot of it is inside jokes too. Though,
- 27:01Speaker 1: what do you mean it? Well, we can get into it, okay.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I laughed at leaky oh ring leakio ring. Yeah, that's
- 27:10Speaker 1: an inside joke, dude, that's something that we would that
- 27:12Speaker 1: went on forever after this, and I didn't realize it
- 27:15Speaker 1: came from the janitor. We were saying, we've been saying.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I've been saying leaky oh ring because I thought it
- 27:20Speaker 1: was something I knew it was something that I heard
- 27:22Speaker 1: on scrubs. I didn't know that it was at that moment, right, Well,
- 27:25Speaker 1: I always thaw maybe I think I heard it from
- 27:28Speaker 1: this and then you and I used it to describe
- 27:30Speaker 1: like if you if you're if you're shake shake shaking,
- 27:32Speaker 1: no matter how many times you shake shake shaking, you
- 27:34Speaker 1: still get a little dribble. You got a leaky O ring,
- 27:37Speaker 1: You got a leaky o ring. But it came from
- 27:42Speaker 1: this dude. I promised my girlfriend's mom i'd limit the
- 27:45Speaker 1: Willie talk. But there's some WILLI talk in this episode.
- 27:47Speaker 1: There's a lot of Willie talking. This when he's when
- 27:49Speaker 1: he spraysed me with the when the thing for the
- 27:51Speaker 1: first time, and I sort of push out you can
- 27:54Speaker 1: kind of see my oh gosh, oh gosh. Well, well, no,
- 27:59Speaker 1: I'm series. I wrote it down. Oh it's not that bad.
- 28:03Speaker 1: But um, you're talking about your bulge. I have a
- 28:05Speaker 1: little bulge. Yeah, I wish it was wish it was
- 28:09Speaker 1: where you but we were when you saw that? Were
- 28:12Speaker 1: you like ye thirty eight I wrote, you can see
- 28:16Speaker 1: my peep lump. Well, Dubell is just slowly shit get
- 28:28Speaker 1: her head with her eyes closed. Well, I mean, listen,
- 28:32Speaker 1: not compared to Rob who fucking right. That's okay, right,
- 28:38Speaker 1: let's start from the beginning, all right, But I just
- 28:40Speaker 1: want to say Rob, Rob has This is the first
- 28:43Speaker 1: time we ever see Rob and his banana hammock Y
- 28:45Speaker 1: a Todd the Todd and it's you know, I don't
- 28:49Speaker 1: think it's appropriate for primetime TV. In fact, neither did ABC,
- 28:53Speaker 1: because when the show moved from NBC to ABC, which
- 28:56Speaker 1: is a Disney owned company. They forbid us to shoot
- 28:59Speaker 1: Rob like that from from the waist down. Yeah, and
- 29:03Speaker 1: they thought it was too inappropriate because he's you know,
- 29:06Speaker 1: he's got a big ass package and it's it's like
- 29:08Speaker 1: covered in fire. The banana hammock has fire all over it.
- 29:14Speaker 1: He's got a big people lump. Dude, his people ump
- 29:17Speaker 1: is huge. Pep up is huge. I wonder if Rob,
- 29:20Speaker 1: you know, maybe season two we should start and ask
- 29:23Speaker 1: Rob chapter. Let's do it. Okay, let's do it, because
- 29:27Speaker 1: everyone's been asking we're gonna have Rob on the show?
- 29:30Speaker 1: Um uh um. But I think it'd be funny since
- 29:33Speaker 1: he's such a fan favorite, if we occasionally do an
- 29:35Speaker 1: ask ask us asked the Todd asked the Todd ask
- 29:39Speaker 1: the Todd, ask the Todd. Now are we asking? We
- 29:44Speaker 1: don't want to ask him in character? You want to
- 29:46Speaker 1: ask Rob? Mashio, What are you trying to ask Rob
- 29:48Speaker 1: right now? Dude? I want to ask him if he
- 29:50Speaker 1: filled his peep lump um in the banana hammock. Are
- 29:55Speaker 1: you sure you want to ask Rob? Well? Don't. I
- 29:58Speaker 1: think the fans probably want an honest answer to this.
- 30:00Speaker 1: If that was filled out or not. Hold on, okay,
- 30:04Speaker 1: what are you editing? No, we don't have to do this.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I just thought it might be a good way to
- 30:08Speaker 1: start the Ask Rob chapter of season two. Okay, so
- 30:12Speaker 1: go ahead and ask him. Let's just see how it
- 30:14Speaker 1: turns out. Okay, well, how could this go wrong? You
- 30:16Speaker 1: go ahead and ask him. Rob. You know, this is
- 30:19Speaker 1: the first time we see your package, and the fans
- 30:23Speaker 1: all want to know, or at least I want to know.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Were you augmenting your situation in any way because your
- 30:30Speaker 1: peet lump is very large? Guys, I admit it. I
- 30:34Speaker 1: thought long and hard about augmenting it, maybe slip on
- 30:37Speaker 1: the weight grift from a dumbbell or whatnot. But in
- 30:40Speaker 1: the end I just went on that to Ral. I mean,
- 30:43Speaker 1: there's no stuffing in that loaf. Come on, we just
- 30:46Speaker 1: picked the ripe banana hammock one that kind of makes
- 30:48Speaker 1: everything stand at attention if you will. It's what I
- 30:51Speaker 1: also like to refer to as the package enhancer. Hey, now,
- 30:55Speaker 1: thank you, Rob. Right, I've got pictures yeah, okay, of
- 31:00Speaker 1: Judy of a Loma, all of these people. Rob has
- 31:04Speaker 1: posted them on his Instagram account. Checking out his meat,
- 31:10Speaker 1: His meat lump. Really, it's not meat lump, it's peep lump.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Meat lump sounds funny to me. Is gross. I don't
- 31:17Speaker 1: want to hear that. That's fucking nasty. All right. They
- 31:20Speaker 1: start from the beginning, good morning Tiger, right good. I
- 31:27Speaker 1: got even even before even before the good morning Tiger,
- 31:31Speaker 1: the twitch before we go into the recap. So you're
- 31:35Speaker 1: lying in bed and you do a little twitch right
- 31:38Speaker 1: before we go into uh, Jordan, I laughed my ass
- 31:43Speaker 1: off up. What's funny about the twitch? I got this.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I got it up on the screen here because you
- 31:48Speaker 1: were you were having a nightmare, dude, and I laughed
- 31:50Speaker 1: so hard. Well, listen, this was us. The funny thing
- 31:53Speaker 1: is that, like people will be watching this because we're
- 31:55Speaker 1: in bed together, because you've been kicked out of the
- 31:57Speaker 1: room by Carla like this. And the funny thing is
- 31:59Speaker 1: all this story you just told you about, like living together.
- 32:01Speaker 1: This was like this was us during the summer, like
- 32:04Speaker 1: literally in bed in our boxers, being like, last night
- 32:07Speaker 1: was crazy? Can you believe it? You skin the goat right?
- 32:13Speaker 1: Last night was crazy. I think I think you slept
- 32:15Speaker 1: on the pin pong table, dude. Is Amy Tannis mad
- 32:21Speaker 1: at us again, it was a great It was a
- 32:25Speaker 1: great summer. Anyway, if you want to picture what our
- 32:28Speaker 1: summer was like, it's a lot like this Donald and
- 32:30Speaker 1: I in Boxers talking about our nights. I love how
- 32:33Speaker 1: j D and Turk are like at sleepaway camp or
- 32:36Speaker 1: having a sleepover in JD's room in the beginning of
- 32:39Speaker 1: and throughout the show. And then you go, you go,
- 32:41Speaker 1: I thought we were gonna do to head to foot.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I say that. I said, I that're gonna go head
- 32:46Speaker 1: to the foot alignment. And then you go, what's the difference,
- 32:49Speaker 1: And I go with the head to foot alignment, there's
- 32:51Speaker 1: no way for them to lock in. You can't dock.
- 32:58Speaker 1: You can't dock. Yes, I think you can still doc
- 33:01Speaker 1: but that's a story for another day. How about Rowdy
- 33:04Speaker 1: humping my leg? That is like a classic moment in
- 33:06Speaker 1: Scrubs history. Absolutely and didn't go yeah hit that. Yeah, dude,
- 33:11Speaker 1: that is a classic moment. That's a meme. Dude, that
- 33:14Speaker 1: that shows up all the time. That's a meme. It's
- 33:17Speaker 1: a gift. It's all the things the kids love. Um.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I thought that was very funny. I don't know if
- 33:22Speaker 1: that was in the script or not. Was that in
- 33:23Speaker 1: the script. Oh, I don't know. I don't I would
- 33:27Speaker 1: be honored if I'm the one in improv the taxiderman
- 33:29Speaker 1: dog humping my leg. That's pretty funny. Yeah, rowdy, No, No,
- 33:34Speaker 1: he's just gonna abuse it. You know what? Yeah, you
- 33:39Speaker 1: know what, Let's go to Bill and ask him. No, no,
- 33:41Speaker 1: you can't ask Bill things like did zach improv this?
- 33:44Speaker 1: Because he's gonna be like no. That was my genius
- 33:46Speaker 1: idea five six seven, eight. Fucking guy. I just love
- 33:54Speaker 1: having him on the show Man. That episode was very
- 33:58Speaker 1: funny with him and Christa. I listened to it back
- 34:01Speaker 1: and I was laughing out loud a lot of it. Yes,
- 34:03Speaker 1: so was I. They're funny people. Um, yeah, you Luke Skywalker. No,
- 34:08Speaker 1: at the you did the Luke Skywalker No, dude, what
- 34:11Speaker 1: are you talking about? When Jordan's about to tell Cox
- 34:14Speaker 1: that you guys slept together, you give a little Luke
- 34:17Speaker 1: Skywalker no in your sleep? What do I do you
- 34:20Speaker 1: remember when Darth Vaders standing in front of Luke Skywalker
- 34:23Speaker 1: after he's chopped his hand off at Cloud City over
- 34:25Speaker 1: the planet Bespin. No, you don't remember, Joe, said joel Is,
- 34:31Speaker 1: once again sitting there nodding, being like Preacher, and he says,
- 34:34Speaker 1: and he says to and he says to Luke Skywalker,
- 34:37Speaker 1: if only you knew the power of the dark side.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Obi Wan never told you would happen to your father.
- 34:43Speaker 1: And then Luke says, he told me enough. Oh my god,
- 34:46Speaker 1: you killed him. Dan's lip sinking along, and then Vader
- 34:50Speaker 1: says him, no, I am your father, and then Luke goes, no,
- 34:57Speaker 1: that's not true. That's IMPI search your feelings, Luke, you
- 35:03Speaker 1: know it to be true. And he did exactly what
- 35:05Speaker 1: you did. Oh my god, good performance. It's one of
- 35:14Speaker 1: the best moments in cinema. I defy anyone on this planet.
- 35:19Speaker 1: When Nate when that movie first came out, if you
- 35:22Speaker 1: are still alive and you went and saw that movie
- 35:26Speaker 1: in the theaters, when Vader reveals himself to Luke Skywalker
- 35:30Speaker 1: to be Anakin Skywalker, no one saw that shit coming
- 35:34Speaker 1: and every it blew everybody's fucking mind. And to this day,
- 35:38Speaker 1: I don't care who you are. That's one of the
- 35:41Speaker 1: greatest pieces of cinema ever. And you can argue and
- 35:44Speaker 1: fight and say no, it's not. It's one of the
- 35:47Speaker 1: best moments in cinema history. I'm not arguing with you. Period. Oh,
- 35:52Speaker 1: he paused for the period. Now, Colin Hay, we haven't
- 35:56Speaker 1: spoken about Colin Hay. For those of you don't know,
- 35:58Speaker 1: Colin Hay was the lead singer of a very famous,
- 36:01Speaker 1: very successful band called Men at Work. Yeah, and they
- 36:08Speaker 1: were an Australian band, but Colin Scottish that part I
- 36:12Speaker 1: don't fully know the history of um and their music
- 36:16Speaker 1: was incredible, and so Colin um In, as we told
- 36:20Speaker 1: you on the in another episode, kind of went solo
- 36:23Speaker 1: and was playing clubs in La singing Zone songs, but
- 36:26Speaker 1: also singing some of his biggest Men at Work songs,
- 36:30Speaker 1: kind of just acoustically on a guitar. And that's where
- 36:32Speaker 1: Overkill came about. And that's where Colin came ont of
- 36:35Speaker 1: the show because we all loved him right well. Christa
- 36:38Speaker 1: said she she she told the story last episode, but
- 36:42Speaker 1: she said she found they found each other at one
- 36:45Speaker 1: of the shows at Largo. Yeah, and he agreed to
- 36:48Speaker 1: be on the show, which is amazing. It's very good.
- 36:51Speaker 1: First of all, we did a whole Colin It's like
- 36:54Speaker 1: a Colin Hayes slash Scrubs music video. In the beginning
- 36:57Speaker 1: of the show, ship's at least two minutes long. It's
- 37:00Speaker 1: at least two minutes long, now do you notice. So
- 37:02Speaker 1: there's a lot of talk about how you're holding those
- 37:04Speaker 1: coffee cups on the street because there's clearly no coffee
- 37:07Speaker 1: in them. You hand me these two coffee cups and
- 37:09Speaker 1: you're holding it like like this, and you're like here,
- 37:13Speaker 1: you know, you just ordered coffee, and then you hand
- 37:15Speaker 1: it to me like this like there's clearly no coffee
- 37:17Speaker 1: in the coffee. What kind of fucking coffee holding acting
- 37:19Speaker 1: is that? Oh my god, you hand it sideways for
- 37:22Speaker 1: the for the effect, and so you could see my face.
- 37:25Speaker 1: If I hope straight up years later you won't take
- 37:30Speaker 1: responsibility and say I did shitty acting with those coffee cups. What?
- 37:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, what? No, you you held them. There's clearly
- 37:40Speaker 1: no coffee in the coffee cup. That's not true. That
- 37:43Speaker 1: was there was there was Listen man, listen man, I'm
- 37:47Speaker 1: gonna be honest with you. I want to give a
- 37:48Speaker 1: young actors some advice out there. If you're holding a
- 37:51Speaker 1: fake cup. I didn't go to the Harvard of the Northwest.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I didn't go the Midwest whatever it is. They didn't
- 38:01Speaker 1: go to the Northwestern. We call it the Harvard of
- 38:04Speaker 1: the Midwest. Listen, I didn't go there. Well, we didn't
- 38:07Speaker 1: have a class in how to hold a fucking coffee cup.
- 38:09Speaker 1: If you're an actor, it's just obviously you did. You
- 38:12Speaker 1: studied some form of holding things with no weight and
- 38:15Speaker 1: making them feel like they had weight at college. List
- 38:18Speaker 1: I didn't do that. I'm winging it. If you're an actor,
- 38:22Speaker 1: I'm winging it. And you're holding a coffee cup, at
- 38:24Speaker 1: least put some water in there so it has some
- 38:26Speaker 1: weight to it. Okay, you've learned a lesson here today.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Why is that coffee cart in the middle of the sidewalks?
- 38:31Speaker 1: Did you notice that too? It's like they's just we're
- 38:33Speaker 1: walking down the street and there's just like a coffee cart.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Because this is back in a day when scrubs wasn't
- 38:37Speaker 1: supposed to be necessarily in California. It was just anywhere America.
- 38:41Speaker 1: And if you go down the street in New York
- 38:43Speaker 1: City and you walk down that, you'll find Barista's on
- 38:47Speaker 1: the street. You'll find bagel and donuts and stuff on
- 38:51Speaker 1: the street. But that's like the traditional New York City
- 38:53Speaker 1: street car. This was like as a dude who had
- 38:55Speaker 1: like a bar setup. I just thought it was weird
- 38:57Speaker 1: production design. That's all I promised you, just because they
- 39:01Speaker 1: wanted to represent street vendors in scrubs. Like if you're
- 39:06Speaker 1: anywhere in America, that's that's that's uh metropolitan or any
- 39:13Speaker 1: type of metro area, they're going to run into street vendors. Okay,
- 39:17Speaker 1: I believe that. I just thought he was placed oddly.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Um at four eleven, Colin really goes in the morgue drawer,
- 39:22Speaker 1: which is a bold move. I want people to know
- 39:24Speaker 1: this isn't a set. So just think how many corpses
- 39:26Speaker 1: have been on that drawer. And Colin was willing, as
- 39:30Speaker 1: part of his contribution to Scrubs to be rolled in
- 39:33Speaker 1: and closed into an actual morgue drawer with some skins on.
- 39:37Speaker 1: He had the underwear, the skins underwear. Yeah, you had
- 39:40Speaker 1: to have something because we would have seen up his gown, right,
- 39:43Speaker 1: he doesn't have a gown on in it. He had,
- 39:45Speaker 1: but no, he's butt naked when he's into morgue. Oh oh,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you're right. The guitar I think was hiding his giblets.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yea, yeah yeah yeah. But I remember thinking,
- 39:54Speaker 1: like like anytime we did stuff in that morgue freaked
- 39:57Speaker 1: me out because I thought about all the hundreds of
- 39:59Speaker 1: not thousands, no excuse me, the thousands of dead people
- 40:03Speaker 1: that had been in that room. And there we were
- 40:05Speaker 1: like acting, have you ever had you ever been inside
- 40:08Speaker 1: one of those draws? I don't remember if in in
- 40:12Speaker 1: eight seasons, if I ever was was forced to do that,
- 40:15Speaker 1: I really don't. I think I would have remembered it.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I imagine you would remember that. Yeah, that's one of
- 40:20Speaker 1: those things where it's like, holy cow, the sun just
- 40:23Speaker 1: came out. Donald, the sun just came out. Finally. Just
- 40:26Speaker 1: having some GTS kabucha. I love gets kombucha. I need
- 40:29Speaker 1: another package. Trilogy you ever had? This one? Trilogy is
- 40:32Speaker 1: one of my favorites. It's trilogy. It's kind of like
- 40:35Speaker 1: it's kind of like it's like the rainbow flavor. I
- 40:37Speaker 1: have a question, Joe, Wow, do you guys get Do
- 40:40Speaker 1: you guys get packages from GTS kombuchas? We need to
- 40:45Speaker 1: put an er, We need to put it first of all.
- 40:47Speaker 1: We need a rider first of all, and in the rider,
- 40:49Speaker 1: he's gonna go get kabucha for everybody, do you guys?
- 40:53Speaker 1: Of course you do? Yeah, we need to make ye,
- 40:57Speaker 1: I certainly wouldn't. Well, let's pull our limited strings. Let's
- 41:01Speaker 1: let's see what we can do. Let's see what we
- 41:03Speaker 1: can do. Let's see what we can if we come through.
- 41:05Speaker 1: You got to talk about it on the podcast. You
- 41:07Speaker 1: know what's gonna happen is that we're gonna be embarrassed
- 41:09Speaker 1: because they're gonna be like no, and then you and
- 41:11Speaker 1: I are gonna have to go and buy some shit
- 41:12Speaker 1: and just drop through. We're gonna off the front like
- 41:16Speaker 1: they were. See, we pulled our strings. If we gotta
- 41:19Speaker 1: breath me while it's driving up, no way. They would
- 41:22Speaker 1: never do us like that at GTS Kampucha. Yeah. How
- 41:31Speaker 1: about the new title sequence that's not on very many
- 41:33Speaker 1: episodes because people fucking hated it. I didn't mind it, though,
- 41:38Speaker 1: it's too liked it. That's what I t That's what
- 41:40Speaker 1: I wrote. I wrote, it's a little long, but I
- 41:43Speaker 1: like the new opening. It's crazy that after one year
- 41:46Speaker 1: of opening up I wrote it down. Obviously I'm I'm
- 41:49Speaker 1: reading it to you. It's crazy after one year, we
- 41:52Speaker 1: only had one year of the opening of our show,
- 41:54Speaker 1: and after one year of that opening, people lost their
- 41:58Speaker 1: mind when the new open and they came out and
- 42:00Speaker 1: were like, no, you can't do that. It's like, look,
- 42:03Speaker 1: imagine Family Ties, which had a new opening every year.
- 42:07Speaker 1: It was the same, same song, but different different same song,
- 42:11Speaker 1: different shots, different way of singing it. Wait was no,
- 42:14Speaker 1: they didn't change the way of singing it. I I've
- 42:18Speaker 1: somehow believed that at one point it got acoustic. I
- 42:21Speaker 1: could be wrong. No, but maybe I'm wrong, But different shots,
- 42:24Speaker 1: a different world. Every year, it seemed like there was
- 42:28Speaker 1: a new opening for the show, The Cosby Show every year,
- 42:32Speaker 1: a different opening for The Cosby Show. We tried it
- 42:34Speaker 1: on Thursday Night, but I guess we came out at
- 42:37Speaker 1: a time when like they weren't doing that anymore because
- 42:39Speaker 1: Friends had the same pretty much the same, even though
- 42:42Speaker 1: that was different clips. Also we tried it, and the
- 42:46Speaker 1: reason was because they wanted to add Neil, because Neil
- 42:50Speaker 1: Neil Flynn and the janitor had become a regular and
- 42:53Speaker 1: he wasn't in the title sequence, so they and that
- 42:55Speaker 1: took You can see that that took a long time
- 42:58Speaker 1: to shoot, like a full day to shoot those title
- 43:00Speaker 1: sequences because of the effect of it all. And it
- 43:03Speaker 1: came out and just wasn't as good they had had
- 43:05Speaker 1: to make the song slower. It just didn't work. It
- 43:08Speaker 1: was it wasn't as cool. Yeah, well I didn't think
- 43:11Speaker 1: the visuals were as cool. I like the fact of
- 43:14Speaker 1: everybody walking past and Neil's I like Neil just doing
- 43:18Speaker 1: Janet or work in the middle of the shot. Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I watched it and I was so anyway, there's not
- 43:23Speaker 1: that many epiles. I think that the fans revolted enough
- 43:26Speaker 1: and said, how dare you? You know? People get people
- 43:28Speaker 1: are very loyal to things Donald After one year though,
- 43:31Speaker 1: it wasn't like WED. It wasn't like you changed the
- 43:34Speaker 1: Cheers theme, you know what I mean? Like, imagine changing
- 43:36Speaker 1: the Cheers theme after five seasons. You'd be pretty pissed off.
- 43:40Speaker 1: But imagine slowed it down. Though it's like making you
- 43:43Speaker 1: way in the world. Today people were like, fuck that shit.
- 43:48Speaker 1: We were only on for one year. I didn't know
- 43:50Speaker 1: were popular. I mean, had sixteen million people watching it
- 43:52Speaker 1: that I was about to say it shows this imagine
- 43:54Speaker 1: we tried to change up our very popular theme song
- 43:58Speaker 1: now available as a ringdowne will never happen. People don't
- 44:01Speaker 1: worry about it. We're worried thinking about it. I was
- 44:03Speaker 1: at one point I was like, yeah, we should do
- 44:05Speaker 1: another version of the theme song. And then I thought,
- 44:08Speaker 1: right then and there. I remember when we tried to
- 44:10Speaker 1: change the scrubs same song and it didn't work out.
- 44:12Speaker 1: But you know what people want is they want an
- 44:14Speaker 1: extended version. They want the full song that we can sing.
- 44:18Speaker 1: You know, they want to make it into a full song.
- 44:21Speaker 1: They want us to make it into a full song.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Do they want a bridge and a hook? I mean
- 44:24Speaker 1: they want a bridge. We're gonna need all of it.
- 44:26Speaker 1: But I think Charlie's busy releasing an album, so it
- 44:28Speaker 1: might not be good timing. If he's not releasing an album,
- 44:31Speaker 1: he's definitely releasing five dollar foot long hot dogs. I
- 44:34Speaker 1: know Charlie's all over those. Make that money, Charlie, make
- 44:37Speaker 1: that money. Get that lamb boler foot long, get that right?
- 44:44Speaker 1: All right? Did you see those nikes I sent you
- 44:47Speaker 1: the other day? Those are nice? Right? You didn't send
- 44:49Speaker 1: them to me, you showed me a picture of them.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I know those are hot, right, They're dope. That's a
- 44:52Speaker 1: big difference from sending him to me and showing me
- 44:54Speaker 1: a picture. I'll get you a pair if you like him, dude,
- 44:57Speaker 1: I do like him. Did you get you gotta hook
- 44:58Speaker 1: up at Nike. No, I got to hook up with
- 45:01Speaker 1: um Travis Scott. That's his name, right, Are you fucking
- 45:05Speaker 1: kidding when you hang out with Travis Scott? Now, No,
- 45:07Speaker 1: I don't know Travis Scott, but I know someone who's
- 45:11Speaker 1: down with Travis Scott. Okay, let me get this straight.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Travis Scott sent you sneakers. He doesn't he wasn't liking
- 45:17Speaker 1: get these to Zach, but no, he indirectly did. Yes,
- 45:21Speaker 1: this is the bullshit I'm talking about. It's a great
- 45:24Speaker 1: thing that you're getting all these kicks and shit like that,
- 45:27Speaker 1: but you aren't going to wear them things like I'm
- 45:28Speaker 1: gonna wear them. They're so hot, aren't they? They're so dope, dude.
- 45:32Speaker 1: They called the Cactus. I'm a little jealous. I'm a
- 45:34Speaker 1: little jealous, just a little jealous what they were. They're
- 45:37Speaker 1: the Cactus something. They're so fire, they are like their
- 45:40Speaker 1: Airmax cactus something there Fuego. Are you guys googling them?
- 45:44Speaker 1: Dan and Joel, Yes you should their Fuego. I didn't
- 45:48Speaker 1: get those. I wore him yesterday and got hey, Travis,
- 45:52Speaker 1: thank you. I don't think Travis is listening, even if
- 45:55Speaker 1: he's not somebody is anyway. Nipsey Russell played the tin
- 45:58Speaker 1: man Donald. Now. I love the fact that we gave
- 46:01Speaker 1: a shout out to the Whiz. The Whiz and Nipsey
- 46:05Speaker 1: Russell had a catchphrase. Do you remember what it was?
- 46:09Speaker 1: In the Wiz? Not in the Whiz because that was
- 46:11Speaker 1: a scripted thing. But whenever he was in things often
- 46:14Speaker 1: you know, he only had it. He only had it
- 46:16Speaker 1: in Wildcat's not true. He said it in other things
- 46:19Speaker 1: and it was right. Yeah. Now, if you guys haven't
- 46:26Speaker 1: seen the movie Wildcats, it is a fucking masterpiece, right, honestly,
- 46:30Speaker 1: snipes Woody Harrelson. Ye, Goldie Hawn, yep. Movies movies that
- 46:35Speaker 1: I grew up on when I was a kid. I
- 46:38Speaker 1: loved that movie so much, dude, I love that movie
- 46:41Speaker 1: so much too. When I when you introduced me to
- 46:43Speaker 1: Goldie Hawn, when you made the movie with Kate and
- 46:47Speaker 1: you introduced me to Goldie Hawn, that was a highlight
- 46:49Speaker 1: of my life because it's the sport of kings better
- 46:54Speaker 1: than diamond rings football. Yeah, that was my damn. That
- 46:59Speaker 1: was the title sequence, the credit sequence. They sing a
- 47:03Speaker 1: song and the whole cast sings it, and it's got
- 47:06Speaker 1: that awesome hook. Someone should remix that song down. That's
- 47:09Speaker 1: the sportive case better than diamond football. And she couldn't
- 47:16Speaker 1: and she couldn't get it right until the end, and
- 47:18Speaker 1: then she finally gets it right football and she starts
- 47:20Speaker 1: singing the harmonies. Yeah, I got it football. I love that. Okay,
- 47:25Speaker 1: you all need to go watch Wildcats tonight because I
- 47:27Speaker 1: have a lot of fun memories from anyway, Nipsey Russell
- 47:31Speaker 1: played the team. What was his It was like the
- 47:34Speaker 1: principal of the school or something like that, right, and
- 47:37Speaker 1: he would say his catchphrase, which was right. I believe
- 47:42Speaker 1: it was only that movie that he did that catch
- 47:44Speaker 1: I that feels too hard for Juell to google, but
- 47:46Speaker 1: I believe that that was his good that was his
- 47:49Speaker 1: What you're talking about, willis? I'm pretty sure he didn't
- 47:52Speaker 1: do that shit in the Whiz? What would you google
- 47:54Speaker 1: for that? Nipsey Russell? Right? Um? How about the oh
- 48:00Speaker 1: so at eleven o one? There's this shot that pops
- 48:03Speaker 1: wide to the cars on the road as they as
- 48:06Speaker 1: you know, they're all like frozen. Do you remember that moment? Yes? Now,
- 48:11Speaker 1: I had coincidentally recently seen car guys on like Twitter
- 48:14Speaker 1: and the internet talking about this shot because apparently every
- 48:17Speaker 1: car in that shot is like some beloved car um
- 48:23Speaker 1: that people love. I'm not talking about like classics like
- 48:25Speaker 1: corvettes and shit. I just mean, like, if you're a
- 48:28Speaker 1: real car nut um, these guys were like, look at
- 48:31Speaker 1: this shot from scrut and I imagine is the guy
- 48:33Speaker 1: we hired to bring cars out probably just brought his
- 48:35Speaker 1: whole collection to make a block street. But some guy
- 48:38Speaker 1: was like, look at these cars. There's there's the VW Diddada,
- 48:43Speaker 1: and they were like laughing slash. I don't know. They
- 48:46Speaker 1: were enjoying the funny range of amazing cars that car
- 48:50Speaker 1: people love that were making this traffic jam. I had
- 48:53Speaker 1: no clue. I would never have known, because to me
- 48:56Speaker 1: they look like random cars except for the VW bug
- 48:58Speaker 1: that's in the foreground. But if you're a car nut,
- 49:01Speaker 1: I encourage you to go to eleven o one on
- 49:03Speaker 1: this episode and you'll you'll know what they're talking about.
- 49:06Speaker 1: Did you notice that in the shot after that, when
- 49:09Speaker 1: the camera didn't the camera over where it overshot the
- 49:16Speaker 1: angle and so you can see that there's nothing behind
- 49:20Speaker 1: what's in frame, You know what I mean, Like we
- 49:23Speaker 1: literally cut it off. We angled it up. We angled
- 49:26Speaker 1: it up as far as we could go, and there's
- 49:28Speaker 1: nothing after any of those cars. I don't think we
- 49:31Speaker 1: were allowed to block more than that section of the street.
- 49:33Speaker 1: They let us block that much, but in the last
- 49:35Speaker 1: shot you can see, holy cow, there's nothing behind these people. Well,
- 49:39Speaker 1: Riverside Boulevard is like where we shot is a is
- 49:41Speaker 1: a major street, and I think you're not allowed to
- 49:44Speaker 1: just like shut it down for a shot, for like
- 49:46Speaker 1: for that long. Yeah, it's one of the major streets
- 49:48Speaker 1: in the valley. Yeah, you know what I mean. There's Ventura,
- 49:51Speaker 1: Riverside More Park before you get into the deep Valley.
- 49:55Speaker 1: This is these areas would still be considered We weren't
- 50:00Speaker 1: allowed to shut that down for too long. I'm sure.
- 50:02Speaker 1: So they said, okay, you can have twenty cars or something.
- 50:04Speaker 1: I don't know, right, I want to say Aloma right
- 50:09Speaker 1: out the gate, Aloma crushes it. Here's the thing. There's
- 50:14Speaker 1: one thing that we didn't talk about while we when
- 50:16Speaker 1: we started this, and that's the layoff period. You and
- 50:19Speaker 1: I were very lucky. We went right into work right
- 50:22Speaker 1: after the season was over, and we both kind of
- 50:25Speaker 1: you know, kept our rhythm going throughout the summer, right
- 50:31Speaker 1: throughout the partying and everything like that, we were still
- 50:33Speaker 1: doing a job. I wonder if other people were working
- 50:39Speaker 1: that summer, if other people had the fortunate the fortune
- 50:43Speaker 1: that we had to be able to work, because I
- 50:45Speaker 1: remember there's summers that we didn't work or and it
- 50:49Speaker 1: was always like that nervous feeling when you came back
- 50:53Speaker 1: and feeling like by the time we get into episode three,
- 50:58Speaker 1: my rhythm will be back. But we were very lucky.
- 51:01Speaker 1: We came into this thing charged and ready to go,
- 51:03Speaker 1: you know what I mean. That's why I when I
- 51:05Speaker 1: look at the stuff that we did in the beginning
- 51:08Speaker 1: of the episode that you know that follows through the episode,
- 51:12Speaker 1: we're very in sick and we're very uh, I don't
- 51:17Speaker 1: know how to put it, but it seems like there's
- 51:18Speaker 1: a little bit of season on it, you know what
- 51:20Speaker 1: I mean. The funny thing is we hadn't separated. We
- 51:23Speaker 1: had spent the whole summer laughing and being ourselves Slash
- 51:26Speaker 1: Turk and JD together just in Manhattan, and then we
- 51:29Speaker 1: just rolled right into it. I mean, that's why I
- 51:31Speaker 1: think we're this episode. You and I are really funny
- 51:33Speaker 1: together in that in that whole bed joke because it's
- 51:36Speaker 1: just like that was that was kind of what we
- 51:37Speaker 1: did all summer. I wonder if Bill was probably imagining
- 51:40Speaker 1: that that's what we were up to. But um, you
- 51:42Speaker 1: ever give or fine. When you start a new movie
- 51:45Speaker 1: or a new project, like in the beginning, especially the
- 51:48Speaker 1: first week, you just feel so weird and rusty, and
- 51:51Speaker 1: you kind of always wish you could go back and
- 51:53Speaker 1: redo whatever you did the first week. Yeah, absolutely, I
- 51:57Speaker 1: find that I find that sometimes those are the better
- 52:00Speaker 1: scenes because you're not as you're not you're I don't know, man,
- 52:07Speaker 1: when you start to oh I nailed that or that
- 52:10Speaker 1: was what I wanted, you've already decided what your choice
- 52:14Speaker 1: was that you wanted to put into the scene. But
- 52:19Speaker 1: when you're rusty and you can't figure it out, you're
- 52:22Speaker 1: trying anything, and sometimes that's the best. You know, that's
- 52:25Speaker 1: the best thing, and you are yeah, and you've got
- 52:28Speaker 1: you've got an adrenaline going. But whether I'm directing or
- 52:30Speaker 1: I'm acting, I always feel like day one is so
- 52:32Speaker 1: crazy because you know, no one knows each other, You're
- 52:34Speaker 1: meeting everyone and and it's a it's a whole new world.
- 52:37Speaker 1: And and then then you have to go perform. I
- 52:40Speaker 1: always try to make the first couple days if I'm
- 52:42Speaker 1: directing super light, so people are, you know, especially, you
- 52:45Speaker 1: don't want to put anything like some big emotional scene
- 52:48Speaker 1: or a love scene or anything that's too intimate, because
- 52:50Speaker 1: you want people to sort of build the time you
- 52:52Speaker 1: get to know each other, and you try and pick
- 52:54Speaker 1: something strategically that that you know, that isn't too hard
- 52:58Speaker 1: of a of a day. But you know, I always
- 53:00Speaker 1: have this fantasy like, oh, we should go back and
- 53:02Speaker 1: like reshoot week one, you know, after we now that
- 53:05Speaker 1: we're all friends, we all now that we all know
- 53:07Speaker 1: each other, right right, Um, we paid There were a
- 53:11Speaker 1: lot of jokes in this episode that we you know,
- 53:14Speaker 1: we either put in the beginning of the episode just
- 53:18Speaker 1: so it could play at the end of the episode,
- 53:21Speaker 1: or something that are from last season, like Elliott telling
- 53:24Speaker 1: her mom about the guy at work that she's you know,
- 53:28Speaker 1: that she kind of still has feelings for on the
- 53:31Speaker 1: phone and her you hear oh no, no no, and
- 53:33Speaker 1: she goes, yes, Mom, I'm straight. That was a joke
- 53:36Speaker 1: from last season. Yea that finally gets paid off in
- 53:39Speaker 1: this in the first episode of the second season. Yeah,
- 53:42Speaker 1: well that's what Bill was talking about in last in
- 53:44Speaker 1: the last episode of the podcast when he said that, um,
- 53:47Speaker 1: you know, people like it when there's you know, these little,
- 53:50Speaker 1: these continuing things that they go, Oh, I remember when
- 53:52Speaker 1: she said to her mom that she was gay, you know. Right?
- 53:55Speaker 1: All right, so everybody listen, we have a guest. We're
- 53:58Speaker 1: gonna take a break and we'll be right back with
- 54:00Speaker 1: Season two, Episode one of Fake Doctors A real friend. Hey,
- 54:13Speaker 1: hello there, Julia five hy Julia, Hi, how are you
- 54:21Speaker 1: have on scrubs? Where are you right now? I don't
- 54:23Speaker 1: have scrubs. These are my clothes? Oh R D J
- 54:30Speaker 1: D and turk colors. She's wearing a Oh nice, nice,
- 54:38Speaker 1: Nice to meet Julia. Nice to meet you. I'm so thrilled. Dan,
- 54:43Speaker 1: big round of applause for Julia five Star. Go there
- 54:50Speaker 1: you go. There's your Oprah intro. Guys, you know you've
- 54:52Speaker 1: made it on the podcast when you get a Donald
- 54:54Speaker 1: phase on Oprah intro. I can't believe they just said
- 54:57Speaker 1: my name? Yep. How did we get two people at
- 55:00Speaker 1: at the same time? How did this happen? Well, they
- 55:01Speaker 1: might know each other. I bet there's something that Joel
- 55:04Speaker 1: is going to reveal, or maybe Julia is going to
- 55:06Speaker 1: reveal it. So we have a mother and son here.
- 55:08Speaker 1: They've been quarantined separately, but watching the show. They'd watching
- 55:12Speaker 1: the show together for a long time, since this kid
- 55:13Speaker 1: was thirteen, and it continues to bring them together. So
- 55:17Speaker 1: I wanted them to share their soul's sweet love. That's
- 55:21Speaker 1: crazy is that he looks like a grown man. So
- 55:23Speaker 1: that just makes me feel old. Well, he's how old
- 55:28Speaker 1: is Noah? Julia? He's twenty four. Oh he's a grown man.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's very grown. He's a grown man. Now,
- 55:35Speaker 1: Julia tell us the story. Did you guys were you watching?
- 55:37Speaker 1: When did you start watching? Did you were you always
- 55:39Speaker 1: watching together? Or did you were you watching when it
- 55:42Speaker 1: was originally airing? Well, I was always watching when it
- 55:46Speaker 1: was originally airing. I wasn't going to allow him to
- 55:48Speaker 1: watch that when it was originally airing. Noah, you missed
- 55:52Speaker 1: it already, but I said already, Noah, stop there you go.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Noah and Julie, I think you've done the Oprah intro. Jesus,
- 56:01Speaker 1: people's ears are gonna blow out. No, keep doing it.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Don't you like me to do it? Oh god, oh
- 56:09Speaker 1: my god, No, Please don't encourage this behavior. I expected
- 56:12Speaker 1: this out. I cringe. I love it, don't get me wrong.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Donald's opra voice makes my life. But I do have
- 56:18Speaker 1: to pull my ear at my headphone back from my ear,
- 56:21Speaker 1: and I'm always worried that someone's gonna be like on
- 56:23Speaker 1: a jog and like blow out their ear drum. Yeah, no,
- 56:27Speaker 1: that's fine. Tell us about you guys. Your mom started
- 56:29Speaker 1: to tell us, But like, how did you find the Scrubs?
- 56:31Speaker 1: And you guys are apparently watching it together through quarantine somehow. Yeah,
- 56:37Speaker 1: I mean it was a long time ago. We I
- 56:41Speaker 1: mean we got to watch probably shoot, when did you
- 56:44Speaker 1: guys start because I would say we were probably around
- 56:47Speaker 1: season three when we actually started watching, from when you
- 56:50Speaker 1: guys made it on TV, so we were like week
- 56:53Speaker 1: to week by that basis. But but you know, after that,
- 56:57Speaker 1: I'm still I'm young, but I'm still old enough to
- 56:59Speaker 1: like have the Dish, watch that pre Netflix, whole all
- 57:05Speaker 1: that stuff. Um, you know, I hope that people are
- 57:08Speaker 1: watching as we do the show. That's what we envisioned happening.
- 57:12Speaker 1: I don't know if I definitely, because a lot of
- 57:14Speaker 1: people ask me on on Instagram, like can you do
- 57:16Speaker 1: a summary of the show? At the top, And I mean,
- 57:19Speaker 1: I guess we could do that, but I just assume that.
- 57:21Speaker 1: I don't know. I guess a lot of people don't
- 57:22Speaker 1: have time to do that. But do you think we
- 57:24Speaker 1: should be doing Joel? Should we be doing a summary?
- 57:27Speaker 1: Is that better podcasting? It feels boring to me to
- 57:30Speaker 1: be like and this episode. Yeah, I thought people would
- 57:33Speaker 1: watch Alan, But if you're getting a ton of comments,
- 57:35Speaker 1: I think maybe we could try to do a timed one.
- 57:37Speaker 1: You could do like a thirty second recab show. Yeah, well,
- 57:41Speaker 1: Donald and I could try and do it like together,
- 57:44Speaker 1: like without reading it, because like you could easily read one.
- 57:47Speaker 1: But it'd be more fun if you're like, all right,
- 57:48Speaker 1: this is what happens. Yeah, totally try I'll have a timer.
- 57:51Speaker 1: I like, that's it. You can't explain anywhere of the show. Yeah,
- 57:54Speaker 1: And we only get thirty seconds to explain the show.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Or we could each have a competition where we each
- 58:01Speaker 1: have fifteen seconds to describe the show and then and
- 58:04Speaker 1: then you and Dan vote on who did a better
- 58:07Speaker 1: summow of the show. No, no, no, not now not?
- 58:09Speaker 1: Why not? Why not? Because you're you're a writer? One? Yes?
- 58:13Speaker 1: Two I I I no, No, absolutely not then I've
- 58:18Speaker 1: been vetoed. Yes, Vito, that shit okay, I think I
- 58:23Speaker 1: would enjoy. I would enjoy like the Donald summarizes, there
- 58:26Speaker 1: could be like a little music cue Dan, like a
- 58:29Speaker 1: like a bell tree or something like. Now. Donald Fhazon
- 58:32Speaker 1: summarizes the episode. All right, so this is what happens, right,
- 58:36Speaker 1: j D and Turk that shit would be you know what. Listen, Yeah,
- 58:42Speaker 1: we'll try it next time, but no rating, who did
- 58:44Speaker 1: it better? Okay, fine, fine, fighting listen. I just think
- 58:48Speaker 1: that for season two, we gotta you know, you always
- 58:50Speaker 1: want to introduce some new things for the fans. You
- 58:52Speaker 1: want to bring in like so now we're gonna do
- 58:55Speaker 1: an ask Rob, We're gonna do it. Donald summarizes the
- 58:58Speaker 1: show in thirty seconds. Okay, this is the this is
- 59:01Speaker 1: the people need two brand new things. Let's get back
- 59:06Speaker 1: to Oh my god, uh do you guys have a
- 59:11Speaker 1: question for for for Donald Fhazon and or I? I
- 59:17Speaker 1: mean I have a question and Noah has a question. Okay,
- 59:21Speaker 1: Julie you go first, you're the lady. My question is
- 59:24Speaker 1: um just for you that I was just wondering if
- 59:28Speaker 1: you had gotten around to watching remember the Titans. Yeah,
- 59:31Speaker 1: great question question, Julia, why are you putting me on
- 59:35Speaker 1: the spot? Well, for a couple of the reasons. Um,
- 59:39Speaker 1: I think it's one of the best movies ever made.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Thank you my top three. Um, And I mean Donald's character,
- 59:46Speaker 1: Pete Jones is the running back and running back that's
- 59:51Speaker 1: why he is the running back. It is. It is
- 59:54Speaker 1: a beautiful, beautiful movie. I it is one of the
- 59:57Speaker 1: movies that I thin if it's on TV, I'll watch
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: it with commercials. I'll see, Yeah, I don't where it's
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: at in the movie, and watch it beginning and the middle.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. I think I've seen it. I don't know,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: and I'm not exaggerating at least one hundred times. Julia,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: it's interesting all. First of all, Julia, I appreciate you.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: You are amazing for for that. Second of all, do
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: you know what you and Zach haven't don't have in common?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Have you've watched You've watched remember the time Listen. I
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: knew this was going to come up today and I
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: was very nervous about it. And I just want to
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: say I had my parents here this weekend and I
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: didn't have a time, but I'm going to watch it
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: as Zack it's one hundred and thirteen minutes. That's it. Okay,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: it's a beautiful, beautiful movie, and it's really indicative of
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: today's times, even though that's actually very sad that it is. Well,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: one more thing about remember the Titans we love fit
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: so much. Noah and I do that. Um, Noah got
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: married this past January. And Ain't no Mountain high enough?
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Was the uh? Was the mother's son dance? That's great,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: that's so sweet because of the locker room. Yeah, Vayne,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Ryan Gosling singing, Ain't no My mountain high enough? And
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: you guys spoilers, Julius spoilers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, good, won't know.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: You're right. You're right, and I'm ashamed about it. And
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you can believe that. I got a lot of a
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: lot of heat on my Instagram comments about how dare
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: you not watch Donald's movie, et cetera, the gorgeous, gorgeous film. Okay, Zach,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: have you seen Clueless? Of course I've seen Clueless. I
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: love Clueless. Okay, we're not gonna go through all your credits, Okay,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I haven't. Zack homies, Zach, Zach, Zach, I saw the
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Postman one the Postman? Why wash you saw Next Day air.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: That's because I brought you to my house. Okay, come on,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: you don't argue in front of the guests. Noah, do
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: you have a question that's unrelated to you? Ever watched
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Way Exhales? That you ever watched Waiting to Exhale's at
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Lake Great Whitney Houstons And that one's that I know?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: And Angela Bassett who was a friend of mine, by
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the way, award winning and uh Oscar Award winning Angela
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: waited Antela Bassett win Oscar. No Ah, it's a shame
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: she shot one that's right for for for for Tina Turner.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: You don't know that. No. Noah's question might be Zach,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: have you watched another one of Donald's movies? You don't
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: have find out? Okay, Noah, no pressure. No I wish
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I was better with my hands and looking up to
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: ask if he has um or you don't have to
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: look him up. They're all hits, Noah, they're all hits. No.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: I want you to be favor I'm gonna watch I'm
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: gonna watch Remember the Titans tonight. But I want you
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: to watch a little film called Homie Spamoni. You could
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: watch that if you want to, or you could watch
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Next Day Air or Kick Ass two or Clueless or
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Waiting to Exhale or Can't Wait, ju Juice or all
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: these movies are considered movies that made a lot of money.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: And guess who's never seen any of these movies. That's
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: not true. I saw Josie in the Pussycats. No, you didn't.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: I saw can't hardly wait? Who was I can't hardly wait?
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Uh and can't hardly wait? You're um, you're the guy
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: who's friends with the other guys. Yeah, exactly A Noah
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: as a question, zach Um. Okay, so I know that
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: obviously JD loves apples. You've been quoted saying you don't. Yeah. Um.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: A lot of people got upset. I think I tweeted
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: that years ago and people were like, what is life? People?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: People were like, I don't want to live anymore in
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: the world my reality. Yeah exactly. That was the reaction
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: people to have. They were like it was so funny.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: It got retweeted right. People were like, I don't want
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: to live in this world anymore. I'm just curious what
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you do drink and if you get a little handsy afterwards?
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: What that all looks like I can wait before you
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: can I answer the question was directed in me, dude. Yeah,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: but if you one of those questions that I should
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: probably answer, you can answer after me. Um. I like
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: this for both of you. I like all things UM
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I drink. It depends if I'm If I'm gonna have wine,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I like, UM like a sarah. Um. If I'm gonna
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: have red, I like a nice pino. UM. I like
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: if I'm gonna have a cocktail, usually vodka something vodka.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: So do you remember when you were in the gimlet Yeah,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I was in a gimlet phase for a while, and
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: then I like beer. I like beer, Um, but I'm
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: gluten free, so I drink gluten free. UM like um
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: pale ale because I like pale ale a lot. Okay,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: So listen. Zach never gets handy when he's drunk. Not
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: and handy in the sense of grabbing and hugging and
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: all of that stuff. But he does get very handy
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: with the with the with his points. Uh So, if
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: he has a point to make, Zach is very and
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: let me tell you, emphatic, very emphatic about how he
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: You guys can't see it at home. Listening to this,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: But it's one of those things where everything has his
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: pointer fingers pointed high, and then he brings it down hard,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: like a like a javelin. I think it's a common
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: quality for people who've been overserved that they get emphatic. No,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: that's what I drink. Donald drinks anything and everything. Listen.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I don't have a preference. Yeah, Donald, just as long
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: as that is alcohol. No, it's not. No. Well, no,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: let's be honest. Let's let's tell the truth. I do
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: enjoy uh libation? Are you? Do you have a plan
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: for the for the for the fourth Donald or you're
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: gonna make some fancy cocktail at your house? No, but
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I probably will make burgers and Frank's okay, But you
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: don't have like a frozen drink lined up. What do
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: you guys got plans for? Yeah? What are you, Julia? No,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I assume you're not together in the same city. We're
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: in the same city. Where're about time? And was trying
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: to be We're just trying to be um, you know. Good.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Do you guys go around you guys go around other people?
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Then obviously you've been around. No, we try to keep
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: it very I've really only been home. I have to
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: say I fell off the wagon Julia with my with
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: my mom because she she came to visit me. Um,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: and she's been very very strict, as as have I been.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: And uh so I felt and she'd driven, she didn't
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: fly and she I opened the front door and she said,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: are we gonna hug? And I said, you bet we are, Mom,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: that's right. We had the biggest hug. So why don't
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: you Why don't you guys if you guys have been
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: both quarantining for fourteen days without seeing anyone and stuff,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: we we try to um. All three of my kids
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: actually live in the city and we all live about
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: ten minutes away from each other. Um, we might be
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: able to see each other this weekend. Where is that
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: a little bit? You're living Grand Rapids, Michigan in the
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: house right on. Yeah, you guys are experiencing its spike
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: right now too, like we are in California. It's going up. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: nothing like La County though. Man, where we are is
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: just blowing the roof off the graph sadly. Yeah, it's
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: a shame it is. But we're here to cheer people up,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: so we're not going to dwell, right guys. That's right. Um,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: all right, well, thank you so much for coming on.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I hope you enjoyed your visit. An amazing pleasure. Thank
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: you so much. We were so glad you like the show.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: In the podcast where we hope we we're trying to
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: just trying to make people giggle a little bit during
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: this wacky time. Yeah, you've done a great job. Than
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: thank you. I just want to I just wanted to
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: reiterate what Julius said when she asked her question. Zach,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Oh God, tonight, it's give me tonight, to give me
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: tonight tonight. It's all heard it here tonight. We don't
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: have a we don't have a movie. We've been watching
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: alone though. By the way, have you guys watched the
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: show alone? No, Zach, everybody's watch rewatching. Remember the Titans
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: will watch. I will watch the fucking movie. But I
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: just want you to know I'm giving a shower. First
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: of all, it's not a First of all, watch your
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: mouth when you talk about the Titans. Okay, first of all,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: watch your mouth. Second, it's a classic, it's Disney and
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: it has a lot to do with what's going on
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: right now and your boys in it. Your homies in it,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: your friends in it, you're your your your your compadre
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: is in it. Oh you sorry? I thought you meant like,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: I know, den't sell or something. I'm gonna watch tonight.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: But listen, you guys, I'm gonna give a shout out
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: to this Netflix show. It's called Alone and they put
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: these survivalists in the middle of the Ic and they
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: have to see how long they can survive with nothing,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: and it's amusing. Doesn't sound better than Remember the Titans? Okay,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: well they have no music that Julia and Noah would
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: dance to it at Noah's wedding. I can guarantee you
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: that that's really cool, man, that's really cool. You're still married,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I am. Yeah. So you know why because of the song?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Because of the song? Yeah. Um, all right, we gotta
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: wrap this up because we've been going a very long
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: time and we have to finish talking about the episode.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: But thank you guys so much. We appreciate you, We
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: love you. Stay safe, stay healthy, and have a great
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: holiday weekend. People, Please give a big round of applause
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: to Julia and noahause Dan thundersupplause to them because they're
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: very nice people. Yeah, they were. How funny was my
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: pratfall when I reached for the dryer. I mean, come on,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: that was glorious. You got skills. I mean, did you
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: see that? The arms went up like this, I fall
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: back the hand. I'm like, I've got mine. I'm trying
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: to dry my crotch on the hand drive and then
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Kelso says something like you need to borrow that thing
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: dinner and uh, and then I follow who and my
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: arms go out. I was pretty proud of that one,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: by the way. That was the JD fall noise. Oh okay,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: that should be a ring tone. Everything. We're gonna make
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: everything a ring tone. Another one, another one, The best
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: ring tones were the best for the best ring tones.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Another one we dropped. Another one. How funny was when
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Cox is screaming at me and I'm like, yeah, that
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: wouldn't happen nowadays with Corona. It was very funny. It
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: was funny though, and the way it was shot slow motion,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: as I'm just like basking in a spittle. Now, then
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: there's this cool floating fantasy thing, very spikedly. Technique always
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: likely always has a moment in his movies where people
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: are sort of seemingly floating as though they're their feet
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: are on wheels, and we did that fantasy where it
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: seemed like everyone was floating around. It's always in a
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: one shot when they're walking down the street, so it's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: like a it's like a cowboy. Well the cowboy is
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: cowboys to where the where your guns would be if
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: you were a cowboy. So it's it's what's above that
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: then like just above that, like above the waist you
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: could say waisty okay, so it's up. But Donald saw
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: him out for those you don't know, is like there's
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: all sorts of shot sizes, have of people of actors
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: have these nicknames. One of them is like if someone's
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: framing up a shot, they're like, oh, kind of give
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: me kind of a cowboy, and that means as you
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: frame up the actor have the shot hold hold where
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: it's kind of like back to the old school Western's
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: like make sure you can see if you know where
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: the cowboys guns would be, so you're wide enough to
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: see that low on the person's legs, right, So that's
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: that terminology. But he always does it so you can't
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: see the legs moving, but and you can see them
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: all just gliding and they're gliding right, So, and we
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: did that, and this we did something similar to that
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: in this episode. Right, I'm gonna be honest with you,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I can't skate, so somebody had to push me to
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: get me to get that movement going right. And then
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: on the other side, somebody had to stop me because
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: I couldn't stop myself. I'm a horrible skater. Well, some
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: of the actors, some of the actors I forgot which ones,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I'm assuming Ken was one of them, are on just
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: like low you know, platform dollies that are being pulled
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: on ropes to make them glide like that. And then
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: some of the actors who could be on rollerblades were
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: on rollerblades. Sarah, who was a good rollerblader, is the
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: one who sort of takes the turn. Yeah. I thought
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: it's a really cool shot the way it was, so
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: I don't think it cuts. I think it's a wonder
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: and I don't know it was. I thought it was
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: beautifully done by Adam Bernstein, who and directed our pilot. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: who actually gets a shout out who shows up in
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: the show in the second get uh car scene when
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: they're like, is this the same kid? Yeah? At seventeen
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: forty one. When it cuts to people reacting, there's a
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: scene of the hallway and Bernstein pops up, Yeah, Burnstein,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Adam Burnstein. If you if you're if you want to
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: see a hitchcocky and director cameo, he pops up. He's
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: the one on mcgourney. How about Todd going at fourteen
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: fifty four, you look totally hot mirror Todd. Yeah, and
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: then you're grabbing his love handles. Yeah, grabbing his love handles.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: And then Sarah just having her bra out. That was scandalous.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: That was very scandal Do you think that would that
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: would fly nowadays? And yeah, I mean it's funny, it's funny.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: The bras is no different than a bathing suit, right,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: especially if it's that kind of bra. But I just
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: it's the context, right. Our brains go, oh, this is
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: so risque because she's in her bra, but it's not
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: like it's showing any more than a bathing suit would, right,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: don't you think? No? I agree with you one hundred percent.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: You know what made me laugh really hard though, was
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: when I forget what you said, what you did, but
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: for some reason, somehow you got me in trouble with
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Carla and I said to you tonight, I'm eating Mexican
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: and I'll see you in bench. Yeah, yeah, meeting. I'm
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: gonna be farting all night. Right. By the way, I
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: always had this idea of an invention that I'm now
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: going to give to the world to steal, although someone's
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: already stolen it. That someone makes a pill you take
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: and it changes the scent of your flatulence to something nice.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Is that possible? I didn't think it was. I wanted
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: to take it to Chris Socca, by billionaire friend, and say,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I have this great invention idea, let's develop it together.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: And then I just saw on the internet today someone
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: was selling these chocolate pills and you supposedly eat the
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: chocolate pills and they make your flatulence smell like chocolate. Bullshit,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Google it, Google that shit. So this is my invention idea.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: There were gonna be different flavors. You could have pol pourri,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: you could have any any flavor you wanted, butterscotch, I
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: wouldn't mind. Yeah, what if somebody what flavor would you choose? Right,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: that's a good question. If somebody farted, what smell would
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: you like to smell at them? Chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: chip cookies is a good part smell, yeah, or um
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: or or onions and garlic in the pan. Nah? Well
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: that nah that that. I tend to stay away from
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: the savory and go for the sweet. Okay, I'll go
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: with them. Sort of a chocolate chip cookie fresh out
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: of the oven. Yeah, that sounds something nice. So this
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: was my idea. I had this idea. You know, I'm
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: sure everyone listening has an invention idea that they never
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: took action on, and then it eventually comes out and
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: you're like, damn it, that person's gonna get rich off
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: that invention idea. Well, mine was some sort of vitamin
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: or capsule that you swallow that scientifically eliminates the flatulen
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: smell and changes it to something else. And now I'm
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: only it's a thing. I'm gonna buy it and try
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: it and see if it works. I would like some
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: of it too. I'll give it to you for um,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: I don't know, beliated Father's Day? Are you look at
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: the books I gave you at all? Don't put me
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: on a spot like that. You haven't you're putting me
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: on the spot with remember the Titans? Have you even
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: plants at the books I gave you. Have you even
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: plants at the motherfucker both I gave. Yeah, they're in
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: my bathroom. They're they're my bathroom reading. Okay, good, But
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: you just on your phone the whole time. They don't
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: want even open those books to you. Listen, man, I
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: want to know something. Are they on the floor? But
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: then when you're pulling, you just look at your phone?
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Keep it real. I love Shay, all right, Shay. I
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: bought Donald your books because I thought that he would
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: like them. And I think that him looking on his
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: phone might be upstaging them and they might be on
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: his bathroom floor. I love Shay. Um. What about Jay
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Johnny c McGinley smashing the guitar. I bet he loved
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: doing that. Yeah, that was one of those moments where
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: you could tell he was like, I'm like a fucking Colin.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Hey be here, steal here fucking singing this damn song.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: I've heard it all week long, Give me the guitar,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: and then he goes to town on it. He even
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: comes back around, He goes one side and then even
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: comes back around like with a backfist with the guitar
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: to Yeah. I bet that felt good though, I have
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: other songs. Yeah, and then Colin Hey goes, I have
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: other songs. I think they have places you can go
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: and you put on goggles so you protect your eyes,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: and you take a bat and you can just like
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: wail on a car. I think a lot of us
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: need that nowadays. That would be nice, right, just to
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: break something, Yeah, just to break something and not have
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: consequences after you break it, you know what I mean? Like, yeah,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: you know what they have in Vegas too. They have
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I really want to do this with you when the
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: world opens back up. They have a place in Vegas.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: You go and it's a giant, you know, construction site
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: type area and you can operate any of the giant
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: heavy machinery like bulldozers and cranes and wrecking balls and
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: like you could just the biggest construction equipment you've ever seen.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: It's like a giant, enormous sandbox for adults. I imagine
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: that could be a lot of fun, but I imagine
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: it's also very dangerous. I couldn't imagine myself. But with
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: the wrecking ball, how fun would that be? Though? Dude,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: we gotta do that. It would be fun at first,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: and then when the wrecking ball comes back and hits
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the fucking I'm sure. I be sure that they teach
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: you how to do it. I don't think they just
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: throw you in it and like good luck. You need
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: a license to use all of them. Obviously not everything's
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: off in Vegas. They're like they found a way around.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: The funny thing is I think there's a bar, but
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: like you can only go to the bar after the fact.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: This all sounds very sketches. I want to dig with you, dude.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: I want to dig with you. I would We can
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: make something together, right, we could dig. Let's dig. I
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: want to make something with you. I want to know this,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: what movies this? I want to be with you, guys.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Sixteen candles yea, it's easy, that's easy. Yeah, that's the
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: nerdy kid. The nerdy kid who doesn't want to go
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: to the doesn't want to go to and the parents
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: force him and he's They're like, they lock him in
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: the gym. They locked him in the gym. I want
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to stay home with you, guys. I want to be
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: with you guys. All right, yo, you grabbing the pillow
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: at the end of the show when I leave. Yeah,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: that's funny. So I feel whenever I part ways with you, Donald,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: I want to clutch a pillow. I feel that way
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: all the time when well not all the time, but
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: when we part and we part ways, you want to
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: clutch a pillow. Not necessarily clutch a pillow, but I
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: still want that extra hug. We haven't Wow, we haven't
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: huh on that note, we that's the episode everyone we
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: have kicked off season two. We haven't hugged in a
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: long time. I know, I miss your touch. You always
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: have such a good I like a man who hugs tightly.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: You know a lot of men do this bullshit because
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: they're insecure about their their their their sexuality or I
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: don't know what it is, but they do a they
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: do sort of a your groins can't be touching, and
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: they do they put the arm in between and then
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: they do a tap. They got a tap. That's not
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: how Donald and I hug. We get down there. No,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I like it when you fucking squeeze. Yeah. Randall Winston,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: who we've had on the show Man's hugger, he's a
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: good hugs. You're just on the verge of almost hurting. Yeah,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: it's almost a bear hug with d You want to
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: make sure you've taken a deep breath before you engage
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: with that, because because he's definitely knocking the wind out
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: of you. Yeah. Yeah, it's like it's like it's like
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: if you're going deep underwater, you just take a big
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: as breath. All right, Well, guys, we've kicked off season two.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: Go get the ring tone. There's talk that we might
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: make it available with them and with out them and
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: just the mm yeah, and maybe we'll even make available
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: m um, we love you. This is fun where we're
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: happy to be back season two, Season two and affect.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Y'all stay safe. Wear a fucking mask, right Donald, listen,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I think tell them to wear a mask. I am
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: going to tell them to fucking wear a mask. But
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: I think I think what's going on is people are
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: looking at it as a control issue, and people are
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: trying to control you. Please don't look at it that way.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Look at it more like, even if you don't think
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: you're sick, there's still a possibility that you could be
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: and you're asymptomatic. And imagine being a young child who well,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: you know, teenagers and young adults are the ones that
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: are getting this virus lot right now, and definitely can
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: pass it on to their parents, and they're the adult
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: figures in their life. And people above forty five aren't
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: faring well with this. So please Donald just turned forty six,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: So please, please, please wear and wear a mask out
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: in public. Okay. That's that's the prescription from two fake
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: doctors who love you very much and care about your
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: health and safety. Donald's count of sin five six, seven,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: eight stories about show we made about a bunch of
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: domes and nurses in jan I said, he's the stories
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Natal sho so yeat around you. Here are get around you,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: here are freeway. Show is m
