- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the Astrology for Beginners podcast.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I'm your host, Stefanie Kate Boucher, and I am so glad you're here.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: This is the podcast for you if you've ever been curious about astrology,
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: if you've wanted to understand your natal chart or make sense of what's happening in
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: the sky,
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: but maybe it's felt overwhelming, complicated, or hard to know where to begin.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: My goal here is to break things down in a way that's clear,
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: grounded,
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: and completely usable in real life so that over time,
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: you begin to understand your own chart and the language of the stars.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for being here and sharing your time with me.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Hello, everyone.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to Astrology for Beginners.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: We are here to talk about Leo season 2026. Who's feeling ready for this?
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: I am.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: I've got to tell you,
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: I like Cancer I'm a Cancer Sun,
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: and I have lots of water in my chart,
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: so I feel pretty comfortable there in Cancer Season.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Plus, I just really love the summertime.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: But, but, but, this one has been
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Interesting, I'll just say.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: The astrology has been intense and really,
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: really reflective, even for me, which is saying a lot.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: So I'm ready for a change, and maybe some of you are too.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: I suspect some of you are.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Now, if you've listened to this show for a while,
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: you know I don't really think of transits as,
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: you know, a list of disconnected events.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I like to think of transits as telling a story.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: And I see each astrological sign or season as a new chapter in a story
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: that we're already living.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Cancer season told a story.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: And now Leo season picks up where cancer season leaves off.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: And moves the story that just happened in a new, fresh direction.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Life doesn't simply happen, you know, one single transit at a time.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess it kind of does.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: But when you put them all together,
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: you get a bigger story that just continues to unfold over time.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: So today I'd like to start by talking about where we've just been in cancer season.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Then we'll look at where Leo season looks like it's headed.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: And after that,
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: we'll walk through the major astrological events of the season
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: in chronological order.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: And there are some pretty big ones.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: This is not a small or inconsequential month by any means.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Now before we begin that,
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: I just want to remind everyone that if you enjoy this show,
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: you can now get more from me by becoming a paid subscriber to my Substack.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And in addition to this weekly podcast,
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: which remains free, you'll also get a bonus episode of the show every month.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: You'll get weekly astrology posts and forecasts with rising sign info.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And in fact,
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: this Leo season forecast will also come out as a written post on Substack with
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: the individual forecasts by rising sign for paid subscribers.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: So I'd love to see you over there if that appeals to you.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: And the link is in the show notes.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Okay,
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: we are going to begin today's show by talking just briefly about cancer season,
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: which we've just left behind us.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: And if you're like most of us, you have maybe been feeling more emotional lately.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: I know I have.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: You've probably been a lot more reflective than you typically are.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Maybe more focused on the past, more nostalgic even.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've been a little slower than usual or not able to get
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: as much accomplished, even if you're really, really trying hard.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: This is the case for most of us.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: This is what we, as a collective, have been doing these last few weeks.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Cancer has had us all turned inward quite a bit.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Part of that is just the nature of being in water energy,
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: but much bigger than that was the fact that we've had mercury retrograde in cancer,
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: in a water sign,
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: in the sign of our emotional foundations,
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: urging us to revisit old conversations and Dig up old memories,
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: replay past events in our heads over and over,
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: and ultimately use all of that as a way to really look at our oldest,
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: maybe not always so healthy or functional,
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: emotional patterns that we've been carrying around with us or operating with,
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: maybe unconsciously even, that are really not serving us all that well anymore.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: So this was about taking a deep look at your emotional life
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: and identifying what needed an upgrade.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: This is what everyone has been doing.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: We have all been digging up the same stuff or the same emotional issues
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: that we've had a long time, but we've all been working on something.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: And most assuredly,
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: whatever came up for you was linked to some very early emotional programming
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: that you got about yourself.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: When you were very young, because this is the sign of cancer.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: So this has been intense.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Then, of course,
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: we also had a new moon in cancer that was conjunct Mercury retrograde,
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: which is a fairly unusual combination,
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: not unheard of, but not something that happens all that often either.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: So instead of simply planting new seeds or starting something new,
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: Like you would typically do at a new moon.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Many of us first,
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: had to take a look at some of the old stuff we're carting around in order
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: to move forward later on.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: We also had Jupiter opposing Pluto just a couple of days ago.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: That's still active by the way.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: We had Mars involved with the nodal axis and we have had
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: that historical configuration known as Barbo's Basket,
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: where the outer planets and Jupiter as well formed this supportive cradle
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: or basket formation across the early degrees of fire and air signs.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Now you don't have to know exactly what all of these transits mean at this point
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: to understand the overall vibes that they have created.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: when Mercury is retrograde,
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: That's never really seen as a time to rush ahead and go do all the things,
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: you know, particularly not brand new things.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Instead, this has been a time to understand ourselves a little bit better, right?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Why do I always react this way?
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Why does this situation affect me so much?
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Why do I keep ending up here again and again?
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Or how do I finally let go of this?
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: The Astrology isn't creating those questions,
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: by the way,
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: it's just creating the conditions that make us more likely to notice them
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: and actually think about them.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: Cancer, after all,
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: is a sign that is deeply connected with our roots,
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: our home, family,
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: emotional security,
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: the places we come from,
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: and the places inside of ourselves that still feel maybe a little raw and tender.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: It wants us to look at the foundations we're standing on
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: and determine what we really need before we go out and build something new in
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: the world, right?
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: This is the gift that cancer season has just extended to us.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: We can't just stay in that place.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: And who would want to, right?
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: If we're honest.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: There comes a point when all of that reflection has to turn into something productive.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: And that, my friends, is where Leo comes in.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Cancer really wants us to understand ourselves and our needs.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: But then Leo pushes us out into the world.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: More so that we can express ourselves authentically from the place of strength
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: and confidence that cancer already helped to create.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: This is going to be such a different energy, a much more outward facing energy.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: When the sun enters Leo, it enters its home sign.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: The sun rules the sign of Leo.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: This is where it's in domicile,
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: meaning it's operating in its own home, its own spot, its own natural environment.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: It's very, very comfortable here.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: It functions well here.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: Now, symbolically...
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: The sun represents our vitality,
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: our purpose, our identity, and really just our life force, life force itself.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: So every year when we enter Leo season,
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: this is the sun coming home to where it can really function at its best
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: and brightest.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: This year, though,
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Leo energy is going to be even more potent than it usually is because this is
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: the first Leo season we've had since Jupiter entered Leo a few weeks ago,
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: and that amplifies everything.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Jupiter amplifies and magnifies everything it touches,
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: which makes this Leo season feel like extra Leo.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: This is a very extra Leo season.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Leo amplified.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: It's time to stop apologizing for taking up space.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: It's time to allow yourself to be seen.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: It's time to step into leadership roles and If you feel inclined to do that,
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: it's time to express yourself more authentically.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: It's time to embrace all of the most positive attributes that we associate with the sign of Leo.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Now, sometimes, sometimes Leo gets a bit of a reputation.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: I love Leo as a sign.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: It's a lot of fun and very, very vibrant.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: But in its shadow,
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: when it's under pressure or stress,
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: it can veer off toward some traits we don't all love,
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: like attention-seeking or getting enmeshed in drama,
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: diva behavior, maybe, craving the spotlight or needing a lot of attention.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: And Leo does like to be seen.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: We know this, right?
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: It does appreciate an audience,
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: but I don't really think of this as being the heart of the sign, if you will.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: The heart of Leo is kind of actually the heart itself, right?
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Leo is also known for being a really courageous sign.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: And, um, Actually, the word courage comes from the Latin word core, C-O-R, meaning heart.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: So at its best, Leo is authentic and warm because it acts from the heart.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: And that, I think, is what we're going for this Leo season.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: How to act from the heart and express ourselves in a way that's very real for us.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: How to create a life that's authentic because it's true.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: It's not, hey, how can I go out into the world and get more attention?
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Or how can I get more likes on my post?
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Or how can I grow my audience?
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: That's the shadow side of this sign.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Instead, it's kind of like, what would it be like to live more wholeheartedly?
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: And how can I do that?
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: How would it feel to create something that To contribute to the world just
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: because it lights me up from the inside out.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: That's the only reason.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Or how would it feel to just, you know, say the thing you're afraid to say to someone?
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: To someone.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: To let people see who you actually are instead of who you think you're supposed to be.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: To stop making yourself smaller just to make other people around you more comfortable.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: That's real, real Leo energy.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Now, one thing I also want to mention before we dive into the dates is that
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: although Cancer season is behind us, some of its larger themes haven't disappeared.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: You know, astrology doesn't simply just disappear overnight always, right?
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: That cradle formation I mentioned...
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Barbo's Basket is beginning to loosen up, right?
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: The planets are slowly moving out of that exact geometry.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: They're not all going to stay at exactly,
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: four degrees of their respective signs,
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: but they are still in the general vicinity as they were in the early degrees still.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: So its influence is still active and will be for a while.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: The conversation is just evolving.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: It's not ending.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: We're still building on what we've been doing here with this one.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: So let's walk through this season together, okay?
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: The sun enters Leo on July 22nd,
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: which may in fact be when you're listening to this episode or shortly thereafter,
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: right?
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: The sun is in Leo as of July 22nd.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: I think it happens in the afternoon.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: And almost as soon as Leo's season begins,
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: just the next day on the 23rd, We get another important shift.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: On the afternoon slash evening,
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: depending on your location in the U.S.,
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: on the afternoon or evening of July 23rd,
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Mercury stations direct at 16 degrees of cancer,
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: ending the retrograde period that has defined basically all of cancer season.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: So if the last few weeks have felt like,
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: a really long conversation,
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: you Now, I do want to remind you that when Mercury stations direct, it doesn't
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Immediately jump back up to full speed moving forward again.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: It's a bit like a train leaving the station, right?
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: It is in reverse.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: It stops.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: It takes a little while to slowly start moving forward again.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: It takes a little more time to build up some momentum before it gets back up to full speed.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: So if things still feel slightly sluggish for a couple of days or
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: a few days afterward, that's perfectly fine.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: But symbolically, this is where we begin turning outward again.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: We will begin to gather some more momentum now.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Perhaps you've had an important realization over the past few weeks.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: So many people have.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've looked at an old emotional pattern that you have with fresh eyes.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've recognized a habit or a way of being that no longer serves you.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: So now, you know, you have this information and the goal isn't simply to go, aha, there it is.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Now I know and move on.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: The new energy we're going to be in wants you to do something with what you've learned.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: It wants you to begin changing the emotional patterns.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: It wants you to drop the habit or the way of being that isn't serving you.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: It wants you to start putting what you've learned into practice.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: That doesn't mean you're going to be perfect at it,
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: but you're going to start changing the practice and you're going to start evolving
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: toward a more healthy and mature version of yourself.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Hopefully that's the goal.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: The very next day,
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: on July 24th,
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Mercury,
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: which is now moving forward slowly at first,
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: forms a lovely sextile with Venus and Virgo.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: I really, really like this aspect, friends.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Mercury rules communication.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: Venus rules relationships, connection, harmony, and values.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Whenever these two are getting along like this,
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: conversations tend to flow a little more easily.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: This is a good time to have heartfelt conversations with people,
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: especially when these planets are in these two particular signs.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Because Mercury is still in Cancer and Venus is in Virgo.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: And this gives this particular aspect a really thoughtful quality.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Cancer communicates with compassion.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: And Virgo wants to help and be of service.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: And it's also really pragmatic.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: So this is a wonderful energy,
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: I think,
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: for having conversations that you've been putting off because it's an easier time
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: for everyone to speak to each other with compassion or to listen to someone else
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: with compassion.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: It's a good time to be able to say something difficult, but say it really tactfully, right?
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: This is great energy for smoothing something over,
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: for making amends, for expressing appreciation.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: It's wonderful for going back to someone afterwards.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: A tough conversation or a mercury retrograde misunderstanding of some sort,
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: because we know there must have been some of those over the last few weeks, right?
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: But it's a good time to go back after those tough conversations and say,
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: I've been thinking about what happened and,
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: you know, and then try to smooth things over.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: Or perhaps you just simply take the opportunity to tell someone you love them,
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: you know, hey, things have been tough lately, but I love you, right?
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: This is a great energy for all of these types of things.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: So I would pay attention to July 24th and, I don't know, use it.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Use it for some communication-related issue.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: Then on July 26th,
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: the 26th is actually a very,
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: very busy day, by the way, Saturn stations retrograde in Aries.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: Now, before anyone panics over hearing the word retrograde,
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: because I know both retrogrades and Saturn have reputations,
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: remember that Saturn spends several months of every year retrograde.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: It's retrograde a lot of the time, so this is not unusual.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: We spend a lot of our lives living under Saturn retrograde energy.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Like all retrogrades,
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: it's a review period around the issues that are related to the planet in question.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: So Saturn is about structure and building things and creating order, right?
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: So this is a chance for you to review the structures in your life,
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: particularly any structures you've been building over the past several months.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Are things going the way you want them to?
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Are structures working?
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Are they strong enough?
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Will they hold?
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: What adjustments need to be made?
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: And since Saturn is an Aries,
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: there may also be questions around independence that are tied into this, right?
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: This could be independence or acting the way you want to versus responsibility, right?
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Or it could be about leadership or personal initiative.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: Are you asserting yourself in the most constructive way that you can?
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Are you taking responsibility for your own life?
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Are you waiting for someone else to give you permission for something
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: where maybe you don't need to ask for permission?
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: So we get to review and that's healthy.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: sometimes slowing down for a moment to review something or to take stock
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: of what we've actually been doing instead
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: of just always plowing ahead mindlessly really helps us
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: to build something much stronger in the long run.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Now, also on the 26th, the Sun opposes Pluto in Aquarius.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Sun in Leo, Pluto in Aquarius.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: This is probably going to be one of the more intense days of the season.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: whenever Pluto is involved,
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: we're talking about power, transformation, control, truth that gets surfaced, right?
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Sometimes power struggles arise externally, right?
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: In ways we didn't expect, other times we realize we've been giving our power away internally.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Allowing something from outside of ourselves to dictate how we feel or what we do
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: or how we respond or how we're living.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: And remember here, Leo wants us to be authentic and live in our truth and shine.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: So this kind of feels like Pluto saying, well, what's stopping you?
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: What's stopping you from doing that?
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the answer isn't another person or an outside situation at all,
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: even if we thought that it was.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's just an old belief or an old story that we've continued to tell ourselves, right?
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: Other people are just mirrors, by the way.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Anytime someone in our life is bringing about a really strong emotional reaction
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: in us in some way, it's rarely actually about the other person.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: The other person is being offered to us by the universe in order
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: to teach us something about ourselves.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Pluto is pretty good at recognizing that.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: If strong emotions arise around this time, just,
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: maybe try becoming curious about what it's there to show you
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: before becoming reactive.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Again, Pluto usually wants to show us something that needs to change.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: You know, it's not punishing us.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: It's transforming us and it's helping us evolve.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Pluto is often about spiritual growth and initiation of some sort.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Okay, also on the 26th, I told you this is a very busy day, the lunar nodes change signs.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: This is a big deal.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: And it will change the entire tone of the next 18 months.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: For the next 18 months,
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: the south node moves through the sign of Leo,
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: while the north node moves through Aquarius.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: And if you're newer to astrology, you know, the nodes aren't physical planets.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Quick refresher here.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: They're points where the moon's orbit Crosses the apparent path of the sun.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: Symbolically, though, they tell a really fascinating story about our growth.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: The south node often represents familiar patterns or our habits or qualities
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: that we've already developed really well in the past.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: While the north node points toward growth, right,
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: toward new experiences we've yet to have or are trying to stretch toward, right,
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: toward the direction of Now,
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: I want to be a little careful here because this doesn't mean,
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: South Node in Leo,
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: South Node bad and Aquarius is good because the North Node is there, right?
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: It's so much more nuanced than that.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: South Nodes are often about letting go of We want to let go of
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: the more positive expressions of a sign.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: What we want to do is let go of its shadow expressions.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: And the way to do that is often by stretching toward
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: The positive attributes of the opposite sign where the North Node is.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: So in the case of having the South Node in Leo,
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: this could be about letting go of needing constant validation from outside yourself.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Or performing instead of expressing yourself authentically, right?
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: It's like performative behavior versus authentic behavior.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Fitting in instead of finding out where you Truly belong just as you are.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: Seeking attention for attention's sake and making yourself bigger than everyone else.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: Influencer culture really comes to mind for me here.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Influencer culture and social media are rife with the shadow side of Leo.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Or interestingly, it could go wrong.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Maybe you are making yourself much smaller than you really are.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're hiding or not allowing yourself to be visible
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: because you lack confidence right now or have in the past.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes both types of behaviors come from the same place, right?
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: A desire for approval in this case.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: Aquarius asks us to become authentic contributors, right?
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: To recognize that we each have something unique to offer a community.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: On a more collective level,
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: this nodal shift is probably going to coincide with A lot
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: of conversations around technology and AI and what it means to retain our humanity
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: in an increasingly technological world.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: AI is probably going to explode into something much bigger than it already is even
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: in the next 18 months because AI is a very Aquarian thing.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: But What will also explode are conversations about the impact it's having
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: or could have on humanity, right?
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Again, these are very Aquarian conversations.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: So with the North Node moving into this sign,
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: I fully expect to hear a lot of talk about this and see a lot of new developments
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: in this area.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: And then...
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: We arrive at what is probably,
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know, maybe it's the emotional centerpiece of Leo's season.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: I kind of want to put this one right at the center of the dinner table, right?
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: This is the full moon in Aquarius.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: This has definitely been getting a lot of attention and for good reason.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: The aspects involved in it are kind of stunning.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: Now, of course, again,
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: for our beginners,
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: a full moon is always an exact opposition between the sun and the moon, right?
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: The sun,
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: of course,
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: being in Leo,
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: it'll be at six degrees of Leo in this case,
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: and the moon being at six degrees of Aquarius, the opposite sign.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: The moon will be closely conjunct Pluto in Aquarius,
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: while the sun is exactly conjunct to Jupiter in Leo.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: And a planet being an exact conjunction with the sun is called a Kazemi.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: So this is a Jupiter Kazemi where Jupiter sits in the very heart of the sun.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Kazemis are considered very beneficial, by the way.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: These are moments of deep clarity.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: When the power of both planets are really amplified, it's a moment of renewal for that planet.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: And of course, Jupiter is already the planet of blessings.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: So this is extraordinary in its symbolism.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: On one side,
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: you've got the Sun and Jupiter together,
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: projecting out all of this confidence and meaning-making, growth, big, big vision.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: But on the other side, There's the moon with Pluto.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: Our emotions, right, with the planet of death and rebirth.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: So this looks like deep emotional truth coming to light.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Full moons release things.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: They shine a light on something.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: They illuminate something where there was once darkness.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: So this feels like deep emotional truth getting unearthed and brought to the surface.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: This is like energetic truth serum, I think.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't mean that there's going to be a scandal or anything like that or
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: that some deep secret gets exposed.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Could happen to a few people, but I'm not saying it's that.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: It's transformation through release.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: It may be that this full moon is here to help us reconcile two different truths, right?
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe two different truths that feel equally important.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: The person we're becoming or want to become or can envision ourselves becoming and
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: the emotional baggage we can no longer carry if we want that future for ourselves
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: in real life.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: So, I wouldn't be surprised if something becomes very clear to you around this time, right?
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: If something,
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: some kind of truth finally becomes illuminated for you and you go,
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: oh, okay, I see it now, right?
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: That kind of thing.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: On August 3rd, we are now in August.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: August doesn't have as many major things going on as July did.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: There were so many transits in July,
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: so by sheer numbers it doesn't have as many,
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: but it does have some pretty significant things.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: On the 3rd, Chiron stations retrograde.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: This is a retrograde that occurs for many months a year also.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: It's not unusual.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: But it will begin its retrograde and come September,
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: which is still a ways off,
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: it will eventually retrograde back into the sign of Aries for a final stay there
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: before moving back into Taurus in 2027.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: But with Chiron retrograde, you know, healing doesn't stop.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: You know, it simply just becomes more internal again.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: Things always become more internal or inwardly focused with retrogrades as compared
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: to outwardly focused when things are moving forward.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: So there's less outward healing, more inner healing.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Sometimes healing,
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: looks dramatic,
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: like particularly with forward moving planets,
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: but other times it looks like just quietly noticing things.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: That, you know, something is changing deep inside yourself.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: That some wound is just kind of quietly healing or quietly being worked on.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Chiron reminds us that our wounds can eventually become places of wisdom also.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: So this kind of internal looking energy can be really useful.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: On August 6th, Venus enters the sign of Libra.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: We love this.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: We love this one.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: This is home for her.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: She's in domicile here.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: She is at her best.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: And she really gets to be the truest version of herself.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: And how perfect is that for Leo season, right?
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: How perfect.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: Venus in Libra is lovely, delicious energy.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: This is all about beauty and elegance.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: It's about kindness and diplomacy.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: It's going to help everyone get along better.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: It's going to help people find win-win situations.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: It's great for making connections with other people,
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: you know, really heartfelt connections based on respect and admiration.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: And really just treating people well.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: Venus is the planet of relationships, and Libra is the sign of relationships.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: So we can expect our dealings with other people over the next few weeks
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: to go more smoothly than they probably have in a while,
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: especially with the Mercury retrograde energy in Cancer that we just had.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Just a few days later, on August 9th, Mercury also changes signs.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: And, um, Hey, it's joining the big party happening in Leo, right?
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: So our thinking and our communication are about to become more Leo-like.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: This is going to feel so different than Mercury and Cancer, y'all.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: It also just feels like Mercury has been in Cancer forever.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: But with Mercury and Leo, this likely means that our thinking becomes bolder again.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: Our communication becomes more expressive.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: We might feel a little more confident.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: It's also good for being able to think really creatively or express yourself very creatively.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: It's a wonderful energy for things like teaching or storytelling or public speaking,
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: writing,
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: creating, art,
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: or simply, you know, having the courage to just say what's genuinely in your heart.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Mercury in Leo is great for all of that.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: And I'll just add that if you've been sitting on an idea or a creative project,
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: that this might be the time to share it,
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: especially with Jupiter in this sign, kind of giving it its blessing.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Mars moves into Cancer on August 11th.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: You know, Mars doesn't operate so comfortably here, to be honest.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Mars doesn't love Cancer.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: Mars likes direct action.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: It's not a very contemplative planet.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Cancer, on the other hand, prefers emotional intelligence, nurturing, protectiveness.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: So the shadow of this placement,
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: Mars and Cancer,
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: is that Mars can get kind of passive aggressive here,
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: you know, if the emotions aren't acknowledged.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: But at its best...
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: It fights for what matters, right?
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: It takes that protective, nurturing cancer energy and uses it to fight for what it loves.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: It protects home.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: It protects family.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: It protects the people we love.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: And ultimately,
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: it uses it to create healthy boundaries or set healthy boundaries,
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: you know, as an act of care rather than an act of conflict.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: And finally, we arrive at the climax of Leo season.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: This is a big one, everyone.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: On August 12th, we have a total solar eclipse in Leo.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: This is a new moon eclipse.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: It will be at 20 degrees of Leo.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: So if you have planets or angles within a few degrees of that,
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: maybe 15 to 25 degrees of fixed signs,
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: so those being Leo,
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus, you may feel this one more than other people.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: And whenever eclipses occur or when eclipse seasons occur,
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: which is usually about twice a year, Life has a way of speeding up.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: We live on a sped-up timeline, typically, during eclipses.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: Events suddenly unfold.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: Some doors open.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: Others close.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: New information comes to light.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: Things we couldn't quite see before suddenly become obvious.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: Some part of our life can change with a moment's notice.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: Now because this eclipse occurs with the south node in Leo,
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: it's a south node eclipse, there's also a releasing quality to it.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: So this is often going to be about something closing or something coming
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: to completion or something ending.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: So you'll want to look at your natal chart to see what house this eclipse falls in for you.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: You can look to see where Aquarius is and what house cusp falls there.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: Now, on the Leo-Aquarius axis, perhaps we're releasing the need for constant approval.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: Perhaps we're releasing an old performance so that we can contribute to
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: the collective more authentically.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: Or perhaps,
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: and I think this is equally possible here,
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: we're releasing the habit of hiding or shrinking ourselves or believing we have
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: to stay small or waiting until we're somehow ready.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: I say ready in quotes.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: So we're going to talk much more about this eclipse
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: during our new moon gathering this month in August
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: because eclipses always deserve their own And again,
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: I'll talk about this more as we get closer to it,
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: both in the Moon Circle and probably again on this podcast.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, then on August 17th, Mars and Cancer squares Neptune and Aquarius.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: This can cause low energy,
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: maybe kind of like just a little more physical weakness or tiredness than usual.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: It can cause confusion around our actions or our drive or anxiety.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: Our ambition, sometimes lowered ambition, right?
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: I think this could be especially true with this one because Mars is already in
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: a sign it doesn't love and where it doesn't function all that well anyway.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: Fortunately, it's not a long-lasting transit.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: It's just a couple of days,
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: so you don't have to worry about it too much,
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: but just be aware of it in case you start feeling some burnout.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: And on the same day,
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: still the 17th,
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: Venus forms a harmonious sextile to Jupiter at 10 degrees of Libra and Leo,
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: respectively, bringing a sense of ease and generosity and connection.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: You know, Venus and Jupiter are always lovely together.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: And on the 22nd,
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: just before the sun leaves the sign of Leo,
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: on the same day, a little bit before, it conjuncts the south node.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: Almost like this, like,
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: final invitation that we're getting to leave behind or release whatever version
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: of yourself was built around you.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: Proving your worth rather than living into your worth, right?
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: The sun really,
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: really wants us to get the message here about what needs to be released
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: or what needs to be shed, what layers need to be shed before it moves on.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Because then we move into Virgo season later that day,
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: which will push us once again into a new chapter of our collective
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: and individual stories.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: But we'll talk about that much more next month.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's all for today, friends.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: If you want more information about my Substack,
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: about subscriptions,
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: or alternatively,
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: if you're interested in a reading with me or you want to join the next Moon Circle,
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: you can find links for all those things in the show notes.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for spending this time with me.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: Have a great week, y'all, and I will see you next time.
