- 0:00Speaker 1: Boulet Kap Podcast Special Guests. Man, my guy Desto is here, man,
- 0:03Speaker 1: what's up? Welcome, Welcome, welcome offul lot of it. Yes, Saisky, Hey,
- 0:08Speaker 1: it's crazy man, because uh, we were just talking off
- 0:10Speaker 1: camera about how the pandemic really changed changed things for
- 0:17Speaker 1: you and I. Right, so you would you know, for
- 0:20Speaker 1: people who don't know, I think a lot of people
- 0:23Speaker 1: kind of got hipps you originally because you were you
- 0:25Speaker 1: were kind of like Pump's la guy. Yes, sir, so
- 0:28Speaker 1: like peak a little pump. You were always with Pump
- 0:33Speaker 1: and you had always had that's an awful awful lot
- 0:36Speaker 1: of cough syrup. Started with the Dickey shit, right, well,
- 0:39Speaker 1: I had. I started with like a T shirt that
- 0:41Speaker 1: I made, you know what I mean. It's just's a
- 0:43Speaker 1: T shirt that I made. I got really started. I
- 0:45Speaker 1: got arrested it like probably like five four years ago
- 0:48Speaker 1: or whatever. The cop pulled me out the car and
- 0:50Speaker 1: he said, hey, that's an awful lot of cough shirt
- 0:51Speaker 1: because he found all the pints in the backseat of
- 0:53Speaker 1: the car, you know what I mean. And then from
- 0:55Speaker 1: then on, it's just like it's just always being like
- 0:58Speaker 1: this viral clip. And then I always made clothes. So
- 1:01Speaker 1: one day I'm just like, you know, I'm steadily like
- 1:03Speaker 1: bleaching and tie dwying other people's clothes and trying to
- 1:07Speaker 1: like do stuff to other people's stuff. But I never
- 1:08Speaker 1: had nothing that was mine. And then I literally was
- 1:11Speaker 1: just there one day like bro, why don't I just
- 1:13Speaker 1: put this on the shirt? Like just that's an awful
- 1:15Speaker 1: lot of coughs. So and then ever since then, it's
- 1:18Speaker 1: just I put it on the shirt. Started with one
- 1:20Speaker 1: T shirt I used to catch the bus to the
- 1:22Speaker 1: slass and swap meat. You know, I'll get them heat
- 1:25Speaker 1: pressed on, like twelve shirts, give away ten sell to
- 1:29Speaker 1: the two I made, I'll use two hours sold. I'll
- 1:32Speaker 1: use that money to make some more. Damn. And it's
- 1:35Speaker 1: crazy too because like during that era, like that was
- 1:39Speaker 1: really like that was when like leen was really booming,
- 1:42Speaker 1: the drug use in hip hop. I mean it still is, right,
- 1:45Speaker 1: but I mean like it was like, yeah, it was
- 1:47Speaker 1: like really booming. But it's crazy that that all kind
- 1:50Speaker 1: of started from an actual interaction you had from getting arrested.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Nigga turned the negative to the positive people. Yeah no, wow,
- 1:57Speaker 1: did you end up doing time or over that? No? No, no, no,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I got a lawyer. I got everything situated. Kind of
- 2:03Speaker 1: was like a dad reject. But I don't know where
- 2:05Speaker 1: that came from. This isn't even in my car, bro,
- 2:07Speaker 1: I'm using somebody else's car. Did y'all plint that there?
- 2:11Speaker 1: I have no regulation that that was ever there. That's
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's a beautiful thing, man. But you know, I know
- 2:17Speaker 1: you had like an option. There was a point in
- 2:19Speaker 1: time where you could have went on the road a
- 2:21Speaker 1: little pump, but instead you didn't. Right, yeah, well, you know,
- 2:26Speaker 1: it just got to a point where like me and
- 2:27Speaker 1: Pum was so close because he was literally like you
- 2:29Speaker 1: know when you booming at first, and as an artist,
- 2:31Speaker 1: La is like the capital of the music game, you
- 2:34Speaker 1: know what I mean. You know, you can do more
- 2:36Speaker 1: here in a month than you can, I mean in
- 2:38Speaker 1: a day that you can do anywhere else in a month.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You know. So he was living out here, he was
- 2:42Speaker 1: being out here a lot, and I just, you know,
- 2:44Speaker 1: always messed with him because he always like a good dude,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know what I mean, a good kid. Actually he
- 2:48Speaker 1: wasn't even a child, like fifteen, yeah, you know what
- 2:50Speaker 1: I mean. I'm just knowing these La streets and how
- 2:52Speaker 1: they are. I just told him like, you know, like, Bro,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I don't want nothing from you at all, never have
- 2:57Speaker 1: I never take anything. I don't want nothing. I just
- 3:00Speaker 1: want to make sure you safe, bro, Like make sure
- 3:03Speaker 1: you're safe. Because we were just coming off the No
- 3:05Speaker 1: Jumper tour and that's when I literally they was on tour.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I bought a van, filled it up with merch. You
- 3:10Speaker 1: just followed the tour all the way around. And that
- 3:12Speaker 1: was super early because that was even before No Jumper
- 3:15Speaker 1: had really really blown up. Adam Super him Super Adam
- 3:20Speaker 1: was a cam girl on that girl. Everybody Smoke Purp
- 3:23Speaker 1: Pump Yeah, yeah, all of them, and it's yeah, no,
- 3:25Speaker 1: that's crazy, like because that was before Pump was even
- 3:28Speaker 1: Pump because I met That's when the big one, because
- 3:32Speaker 1: I met Pump at uh my homie trap Zilla's crib
- 3:35Speaker 1: and in Panoramic City Trap because they used to go
- 3:38Speaker 1: over to the Traps house and pick up packs and
- 3:40Speaker 1: like you would go over there and they'd be like
- 3:41Speaker 1: all these little viral kids that yeah, like fucking six
- 3:45Speaker 1: or nine or Pump or smoke Purp or fat Nick
- 3:48Speaker 1: or whoever the fuck germ. Like it was like, bro,
- 3:52Speaker 1: that it was like the SoundCloud Castle it was like,
- 3:54Speaker 1: what is that one show a movie called Speaker City
- 3:58Speaker 1: or something. It just fucking pounds a weed everywhere, fucking dogs, kids,
- 4:03Speaker 1: all kinds of wild shit going on in Panorama City.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And I met Little Pump and I was like, Yo,
- 4:08Speaker 1: this is crazy because this is like a child like kid. Bro. Bro. Yeah,
- 4:13Speaker 1: it was a wild like time. But you know, I
- 4:16Speaker 1: just talked to I had fat Nick up here a
- 4:18Speaker 1: few days ago, and I told him. I was like, hey, bro,
- 4:22Speaker 1: not for nothing. But whenever I talk about twenty seventeen twenty,
- 4:27Speaker 1: like in the twenty sixteen twenty seventeen twenty eighteen, I
- 4:30Speaker 1: was kind of referred to it as like the Dark
- 4:33Speaker 1: Age of hip hop. It was like when like half
- 4:37Speaker 1: emo half hip hop. It was like, yeah, it was that.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And it was also the age of like people were
- 4:43Speaker 1: just getting signed over ig antics. Like there was like yo,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I think Supreme Patty got a record deal. You know
- 4:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Like there was like it was it
- 4:52Speaker 1: was the dark Age for the music industry because there
- 4:54Speaker 1: was so much bullshit that was getting signed. Like think
- 4:58Speaker 1: about what was that kid's name that we talked aout
- 5:00Speaker 1: out who said he was a clone like kid Boo
- 5:03Speaker 1: got a fucking record deal and his music is terrible,
- 5:05Speaker 1: like he got it was just so much shit, and
- 5:08Speaker 1: you know what it was was everyone was trying to
- 5:10Speaker 1: get the next pump. They realized at that time that, Okay,
- 5:15Speaker 1: we're looking for people that make music to build them
- 5:19Speaker 1: a fan base. When we have these kids that's on
- 5:21Speaker 1: Instagram that already have fan bases. They have followers. Followers
- 5:26Speaker 1: equals fans sometimes sometimes not always well back then, yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 1: sometimes at that time, if you had a million or
- 5:33Speaker 1: not even a million, you could have three hundred thousand,
- 5:35Speaker 1: but your antics was getting you twenty thousand a week,
- 5:38Speaker 1: ten thousand a week. You know, your your engagements, that's
- 5:41Speaker 1: what they're looking at, your engagements, your followers, how many
- 5:43Speaker 1: followers you get it? How many people are watching this post?
- 5:46Speaker 1: And they were just the same thing with YouTube, same
- 5:48Speaker 1: thing with my Space. People were getting signed off of
- 5:50Speaker 1: these things Instagram. Like you'd be like, dude, Like it'd
- 5:53Speaker 1: be like guy that guy like little nar right, who's
- 5:55Speaker 1: a good dude. Right, But he would just do wild
- 5:57Speaker 1: shit on ig and got a record deal because he
- 5:59Speaker 1: was just blowing ship up and firing bazookas and just
- 6:02Speaker 1: do it all kind of ill shit, And it was like, man,
- 6:06Speaker 1: like what happens when the music doesn't match? The fuck shit?
- 6:12Speaker 1: Because if eventually you got to come through with that music,
- 6:15Speaker 1: eventually do and some people you can't just keep out
- 6:17Speaker 1: doing yourself on Instagram because you're going yourself out. Yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you're gonna end up like the what was that? Dude?
- 6:24Speaker 1: Did John Cabana do? What was What do you think
- 6:25Speaker 1: about Boom Gang? You end up like that fucking guy.
- 6:27Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like went too crazy? Went
- 6:29Speaker 1: too crazy? But it's crazy because you were really a
- 6:32Speaker 1: part of that whole era integrate. You were there, bro,
- 6:35Speaker 1: I was there orchestrated, making sure they were straight, making
- 6:38Speaker 1: sure they didn't take too much of that, do too
- 6:40Speaker 1: much of this, you know what I mean? Like I
- 6:42Speaker 1: was around all of them. That's when I like, people
- 6:45Speaker 1: don't know I did tattoos, so like you know a
- 6:47Speaker 1: lot of these kids, Like I tatted Boom Gang face
- 6:50Speaker 1: before I tied it pump Face, I was tied at
- 6:52Speaker 1: Smoke Purp. I tied a lot of people. I even
- 6:54Speaker 1: tatt at Nipsey, So like a lot of these people,
- 6:56Speaker 1: like when that phase was going on, I was going
- 6:58Speaker 1: around them selling them probably probably going around and doing
- 7:01Speaker 1: the tattoos, you know what I mean, going around, you know,
- 7:04Speaker 1: selling them my merch or giving them my merch because
- 7:06Speaker 1: if they wear it and they got a fan base,
- 7:09Speaker 1: it's a movie. What what was it like kind of
- 7:12Speaker 1: being the adult in the room in that in a
- 7:14Speaker 1: lot of those situations, just really like bro y'all tripping.
- 7:19Speaker 1: There's just a lot of brain y'all trippings, like you
- 7:22Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like I would part take in
- 7:24Speaker 1: certain stuff, but it was really like even though I
- 7:26Speaker 1: was the adult, they really like pump bro. He had
- 7:29Speaker 1: this Instagram shit broke down to a science, Like to
- 7:33Speaker 1: a science. You'll think he was just no I'm doing this. No,
- 7:36Speaker 1: he knew that, like if I did this with that,
- 7:39Speaker 1: then this would happen. Yeah, he got hisself signed off
- 7:43Speaker 1: on Instagram, you know what I mean, Like he knew
- 7:45Speaker 1: how to get the people to watch videos like we done.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Literally sat down and spend like an hour or two
- 7:51Speaker 1: just creating a scenario just so that he can make
- 7:54Speaker 1: a fucking thirty second video the post that'd go viral. Know,
- 7:58Speaker 1: that's how he went from a couple of one hundred
- 8:01Speaker 1: thousand followers to like seventeen million. Mm hmm. It happened fast,
- 8:06Speaker 1: you know what I mean, happened Every antique or something
- 8:09Speaker 1: that he would do, it will blow him up. He'll
- 8:11Speaker 1: get more followers, he'll get more fans, He'll get more engagements,
- 8:15Speaker 1: He'll get more money. Everybody can't relate Instagram into money.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He's actually transferring them likes, views, engagements into actual hard cash.
- 8:24Speaker 1: What do you think, like, because obviously Pump is still
- 8:28Speaker 1: going to be able to make money off of music forever,
- 8:31Speaker 1: or at least off off of being a little Pump.
- 8:33Speaker 1: But I think that like the potential of Pump and
- 8:36Speaker 1: where he is now probably aren't where we all thought
- 8:41Speaker 1: it was going to end up, right, where do you
- 8:42Speaker 1: think like Pump, shit kind of went left for him.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Like I'm not saying he's like down down bad or anything,
- 8:49Speaker 1: but you know him and Purp, Like obviously that I
- 8:52Speaker 1: assume Pump was going to be a superstar. You know
- 8:54Speaker 1: what happened Pump? Like, honestly, he records every day, every
- 8:59Speaker 1: time I call him, records every day. He stopped putting
- 9:02Speaker 1: out music, like you know, like he has a fan base,
- 9:06Speaker 1: bro Like he hasn't. He has this star power about him.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That if anybody between a certain age sees him or
- 9:13Speaker 1: those of them a week later, they're gonna be mimicking
- 9:16Speaker 1: something that he does, you know what I mean. So
- 9:19Speaker 1: when he went to music, this is why I'll be
- 9:20Speaker 1: trying to get around to too. When he Like a
- 9:23Speaker 1: lot of people put energy into what they want, you
- 9:26Speaker 1: know what I mean. You want to be a rapper,
- 9:28Speaker 1: you want to be this, You're gonna put energy into it.
- 9:30Speaker 1: But if you take that same energy and put it
- 9:32Speaker 1: into anything else, you probably be way more you know,
- 9:36Speaker 1: up than what you think you was. So like he
- 9:39Speaker 1: was recording the stuff, but he wasn't putting the music out.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So it was just like, you know, it's just like
- 9:44Speaker 1: working out every day, but not like like just being
- 9:46Speaker 1: in the house. You're not it's not going to anything
- 9:49Speaker 1: when and when you're not feeding those fans, you're not
- 9:51Speaker 1: feeding fans. They go to rapers and they want music.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Bro Like, even it good, bad, whatever it is, you
- 9:58Speaker 1: just gotta keep pumping it out. I feel like six '
- 10:00Speaker 1: nine benefited from Pump kind of stopping putting out as
- 10:03Speaker 1: much music because he started putting on because he was
- 10:04Speaker 1: kind of like an evolution of what Pump was doing
- 10:08Speaker 1: on the internet. Yeah, but he just went south because
- 10:10Speaker 1: he went super gangster. But exactly, he just went super solid.
- 10:14Speaker 1: He like went super gangster when it was like, were
- 10:17Speaker 1: you around six nine at all? Back? Like I did
- 10:20Speaker 1: like a show before because I know he was in
- 10:22Speaker 1: la a lot. Yeah he was, but like I wasn't
- 10:24Speaker 1: really around them, and that even feel me like already
- 10:27Speaker 1: at that point, I was just making sure Pump was
- 10:29Speaker 1: straight at all times. How's your relationship with Pump now? Oh,
- 10:32Speaker 1: we're great. I can FaceTime right now. Pick up on
- 10:34Speaker 1: the first call he caused me asks about my daughter.
- 10:36Speaker 1: You know, every time he has a show. You asked
- 10:38Speaker 1: me if I want to go, like, bro, we're going
- 10:40Speaker 1: to Dubai. I'm like, man, I can't go to my
- 10:43Speaker 1: wife will start tripping. I just jump up. He can
- 10:45Speaker 1: go to Dubai with a little pump today, you know
- 10:47Speaker 1: what I mean. I'm gonna go to Dubai next week. No,
- 10:51Speaker 1: you're not. And I got a newborn now, so it's like,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you know, I got daddy duties. I remember there was
- 10:58Speaker 1: a certain point in time where you obviously being associated
- 11:03Speaker 1: with being the lean guy. You know. I know the
- 11:09Speaker 1: first rapper that I saw kind of come out as
- 11:13Speaker 1: someone who I knew every time I would see was
- 11:15Speaker 1: that was fucking high off his ass was Mazzi. Mazzie
- 11:19Speaker 1: did to kick the cup ship, right yeah. And I
- 11:23Speaker 1: know some people were like, man, that's corny whatever, but
- 11:25Speaker 1: I thought it was dope. But I remember when you
- 11:26Speaker 1: posted that, I was like, this is big man, because
- 11:29Speaker 1: you got it. You got a whole different grip on
- 11:32Speaker 1: some of these kids and the and the way they
- 11:33Speaker 1: look up to you, And I know that that's not
- 11:36Speaker 1: an easy thing to stay off of them. I mean,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm not saying you people don't. People don't relapse, they
- 11:40Speaker 1: don't fuck up or because that's a hard like whether
- 11:43Speaker 1: you do it or you don't, the biggest part is
- 11:46Speaker 1: not to do it in the public, not to glorify it, right, yeah,
- 11:49Speaker 1: like not to like like honestly, brot, I could sit
- 11:52Speaker 1: right here, take a picture, promoted my album, do whatever
- 11:55Speaker 1: promoted my clothes. It'd do whatever to do. Now if
- 12:00Speaker 1: I was to put a bottle of lean a double
- 12:03Speaker 1: cup or actually put me pouring Tolean while I'm telling
- 12:05Speaker 1: something like three hundred four hundred thousand more views than
- 12:10Speaker 1: than percent more views than the regular one. But the
- 12:14Speaker 1: thing again. It's like, Bro, like I'm not just trying
- 12:16Speaker 1: to like, you know, I got brothers. So when I
- 12:17Speaker 1: see my little brother pouring up, you know, spending his
- 12:20Speaker 1: money on trying to sib and it's like these kids
- 12:23Speaker 1: don't know what they doing. They can they grabbing anything
- 12:26Speaker 1: and just pouring it in a soda. And that's when
- 12:28Speaker 1: I kind of stepped back from just like you know,
- 12:30Speaker 1: glorifying it or like putting it out there, you know
- 12:33Speaker 1: what I mean? I also feel like you look a
- 12:35Speaker 1: lot healthier, man. He bro that like people don't really know,
- 12:40Speaker 1: like that shit really takes you over. Like I went
- 12:42Speaker 1: from like one hundred and eventy pounds to like two
- 12:45Speaker 1: point fifty, like you know what I mean you was saying.
- 12:48Speaker 1: He was like, Bro, I had to get off that
- 12:49Speaker 1: shit because I was getting fat. Bro, you get so
- 12:51Speaker 1: big and it's not even a lean, it's the soda
- 12:53Speaker 1: because you're drinking so much soda. You can getting so
- 12:55Speaker 1: much soda bout two three four five twenty ounces a day,
- 12:59Speaker 1: a two liter to two leaders a day. All that's
- 13:01Speaker 1: going in your face, going in your body, and then
- 13:04Speaker 1: it sucks up your inside, bro, like to a point
- 13:06Speaker 1: where like I was using the restroom and it was blood.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Oh wow, Like like they don't tell you about that part,
- 13:11Speaker 1: Like you'll be spitting it to be blood and you'll
- 13:13Speaker 1: spit you know, and that's normal. Like that's normal, and
- 13:17Speaker 1: it's like, no, bro, this can't be. How was it
- 13:19Speaker 1: hard to because you know, obviously with any sort of
- 13:22Speaker 1: opiate it's not the easiest thing. Oh yeah, it's hard,
- 13:24Speaker 1: but then you just kind of like get through withdraws. Yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 1: you get through it. It's like I'm not saying you
- 13:29Speaker 1: just go cold turkey. That's when it fucks you up,
- 13:31Speaker 1: but you go from you might go to the hospital. Yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: you're pouring a pine to day that like you know,
- 13:35Speaker 1: now I'm only doing like you'll do like an eight
- 13:37Speaker 1: to day. Then from there you'll just do like a
- 13:39Speaker 1: cup whenever your stomach start really hurting. And then after
- 13:43Speaker 1: that you just kind of like tone it down to
- 13:44Speaker 1: where you probably only sipping like once a day. Then
- 13:47Speaker 1: you sip in like once a week. Then it's like
- 13:50Speaker 1: you really don't even sip like that. Yeah, I feel
- 13:52Speaker 1: like too, like that era of hip hop where the
- 13:56Speaker 1: drug use and the lean use was ultra glorified then
- 14:00Speaker 1: I mean fetanol was always a thing I feel like
- 14:03Speaker 1: now it's really Yeah, that's another thing that slows you
- 14:06Speaker 1: down on a lot of that shit, like you around
- 14:09Speaker 1: awake a dead yeah, but they don't be putting the
- 14:11Speaker 1: fitting all in the drink. But it's just like the
- 14:13Speaker 1: prices of drink so high, and then the price to
- 14:16Speaker 1: drink so how you go to pills to try to
- 14:18Speaker 1: get the matter pills and then the pills is fake laced,
- 14:21Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You don't know what you
- 14:22Speaker 1: get nowadays you get so it just kind of just
- 14:26Speaker 1: best to just stay away from all that shit. Bro
- 14:28Speaker 1: So talk about you know, because for people who don't
- 14:32Speaker 1: know you took the clothing brand from being downtown setting
- 14:38Speaker 1: up shop in your van, that was always getting how
- 14:41Speaker 1: many times did this van get broken into? Bruh? Then
- 14:44Speaker 1: you're broken into at least like two or three times
- 14:46Speaker 1: a month, which has got that man, because that's the thing.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I stayed in the apartment building, and apartment building didn't
- 14:51Speaker 1: have parking for the van. It's only you know, it
- 14:54Speaker 1: only had car parking. So I will park next door
- 14:57Speaker 1: to my apartment building in the parking lot. And it
- 14:59Speaker 1: was an open public parking lot that you could just
- 15:01Speaker 1: pay and park your car, and then I would sit
- 15:03Speaker 1: there all day grinding, and then at night. You gotta understand,
- 15:06Speaker 1: half of the break ins was just smokers. Just a
- 15:10Speaker 1: smoker who probably walked past during the day. See this
- 15:13Speaker 1: motherfucker jumping come back at night. It ain't nobody there now.
- 15:16Speaker 1: They trying to pry their way up in there. And
- 15:18Speaker 1: crazy part. I had to reinforce. I had the back
- 15:20Speaker 1: door reinforce. I had, you know, these vands to go
- 15:23Speaker 1: seat and it's open, so I had like a cage.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I literally built the cage where I kept all the merchandise.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Didn't stop them. They'll break into it just to try
- 15:31Speaker 1: to steal some pennies out of the fucking cup holder.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You know, a shirt that's damaged just sitting in the front.
- 15:38Speaker 1: You know, shirts are like one hundred and twenty dollars,
- 15:40Speaker 1: So they breaking in trying to get a sock if
- 15:42Speaker 1: they could. They don't care, no, But you were pretty
- 15:46Speaker 1: much setting up shop downtown, hustling out the van. Walk
- 15:51Speaker 1: me through the progression on how you grew the business too,
- 15:54Speaker 1: cause you have you don't have the downtown space anymore.
- 15:56Speaker 1: That was like temporary, right, what you're like a retail
- 16:00Speaker 1: space downtown. Oh you still got it. So you have that,
- 16:02Speaker 1: and you got Melrose so you got two locations, two
- 16:05Speaker 1: point five two point five, three locations. That's crazy. So
- 16:09Speaker 1: kind of walk me through how the brand really blew,
- 16:12Speaker 1: because I feel like it really really happened. It was
- 16:15Speaker 1: always a thing where we would see people wearing it,
- 16:17Speaker 1: would see like Adam wearing it or Pump wearing it.
- 16:19Speaker 1: But like now it's like a legitimate like you said, man,
- 16:23Speaker 1: like you know, it was important for you to come
- 16:25Speaker 1: up here and explain to people that you don't got
- 16:28Speaker 1: to sell drugs or play ball, none of that. Like
- 16:31Speaker 1: this is my thing, This is my whole testimony. This
- 16:34Speaker 1: is what I want everybody to know. You do the
- 16:37Speaker 1: same energy that these kids, these grown men, these women,
- 16:41Speaker 1: any person is putting into trying to play a sport,
- 16:45Speaker 1: which the likely the likeliness of you making it into
- 16:48Speaker 1: impossible impossible. You know, but you spend like you spend
- 16:52Speaker 1: so much money, so much time, so much effort trying
- 16:55Speaker 1: to be a basketball player, trying to be a football player,
- 16:57Speaker 1: trying to play this, play soccer, play whatever. You spend
- 17:00Speaker 1: so much time trying to be a rapper, trying to
- 17:01Speaker 1: be a singer playing for versus paying for studio time,
- 17:04Speaker 1: paying for engineers traveling back and forth to the studio.
- 17:08Speaker 1: If you put that same energy into a business, whether
- 17:12Speaker 1: it's you could put that same energy into selling shoe strings.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Now I'm going to shoot. Now, I'm going to come
- 17:18Speaker 1: every shoe convention selling every person there my shoe strings.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You know, I'm making different shoe strings for different days,
- 17:23Speaker 1: different holidays. You know, if you put that same energy
- 17:26Speaker 1: into making a business, you'll win. Now, how I started was,
- 17:29Speaker 1: like I said, it came to the point where Pump
- 17:32Speaker 1: was moving out La. He moved back to Miami. You
- 17:35Speaker 1: know Adam, you know he still had no jumper, but
- 17:37Speaker 1: he closed down the store and he moved to Burbank
- 17:40Speaker 1: where he was just doing podcasts. So it's like, do
- 17:43Speaker 1: I want to just you know, jump into the field
- 17:45Speaker 1: and stay right with at him. Do I want to
- 17:48Speaker 1: go to Miami stay riding with Pump? And It's like, no,
- 17:51Speaker 1: I got it. I'm about to stay here in LA
- 17:53Speaker 1: and start from the ground up. Because once people don't
- 17:56Speaker 1: understand what you hanging out with these high profile artists,
- 17:58Speaker 1: even if you're their best friend, that's buddy, that's still
- 18:01Speaker 1: their money, not yours. Facts. Yeah you get free stuff,
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah you get a piece or something. You hit the
- 18:07Speaker 1: perks of it, but it's still theirs, right, Like I
- 18:10Speaker 1: can tell you from twenty eighteen to twenty nineteen, I
- 18:12Speaker 1: would roll in nothing less than a Mercedes beans. It
- 18:14Speaker 1: wasn't mine, you know what I mean. I had new clothes, shoes, everything,
- 18:19Speaker 1: but I didn't pay for them. I would go to
- 18:21Speaker 1: the store with somebody and they'll buy like twenty thousand
- 18:23Speaker 1: dollars worth of stuff, buy me two or three pair
- 18:25Speaker 1: of shoes, buy me a shirt and some pants. Now
- 18:27Speaker 1: that's more than most people, but it's still not me
- 18:30Speaker 1: with my heart earned cash. Because when I leave them,
- 18:33Speaker 1: I don't have shit. So when he decided to leave,
- 18:36Speaker 1: I just decided to stay here. And it basically started
- 18:39Speaker 1: with I knew I had this product that people wanted.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I had about eighty thousand followers. So I'm like, if
- 18:45Speaker 1: I can just sell one or two hoodies a day,
- 18:47Speaker 1: which is about two three hundred dollars a day, then
- 18:50Speaker 1: that's eating, you know what I mean. So I hired
- 18:53Speaker 1: me a driver, you know, because I didn't even have
- 18:55Speaker 1: a license. I didn't even have a car. Once pumps left.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I didn't have shit to drive, so you know, I
- 19:00Speaker 1: started off finding me a driver, one of my best buddies, Eddie,
- 19:03Speaker 1: and we would literally I would literally all day long, Hey,
- 19:06Speaker 1: who want a hoodie? On my story? Who wants this?
- 19:08Speaker 1: Who want that? I'll go through my requests, find one
- 19:11Speaker 1: or two people, get their number, get their address, and
- 19:13Speaker 1: put them the next day I'll pull up on them,
- 19:16Speaker 1: you know. So I was doing that for about like
- 19:18Speaker 1: two to three months. I did that's so much that
- 19:19Speaker 1: I moved out of my downtown apartment and got me
- 19:22Speaker 1: and my girls spot in Westchester. And I was doing
- 19:25Speaker 1: all that off of just basically Instagram, finding people wearing
- 19:29Speaker 1: my stuff, promoting my stuff, like if I wear it,
- 19:31Speaker 1: I know, I'll go through my comments, Oh I need that? Click?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Okay you in La? Where are you at in La?
- 19:37Speaker 1: Okay you here, Simeon. I just won't pull up on you. Wow,
- 19:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna bring it. So I did. So I did
- 19:42Speaker 1: that for about two or three months. Then it got
- 19:43Speaker 1: to a point where, like I would have so many
- 19:45Speaker 1: people to pull up on I wouldn't make it. And
- 19:48Speaker 1: besides that, I was pulling up in some sketchy ass places,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you know, pulling up and like fucking like you got anywhere? Yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 1: I got money. I'm pulling up real nice. You know.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Sometimes people will send me the address next door to
- 20:02Speaker 1: their house and I'll pull up and I'll see like
- 20:04Speaker 1: six people hopping out the hopping out of a different address.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm like, hold on, they coming from back there to
- 20:10Speaker 1: over here. But you know, in God's good, God's will,
- 20:13Speaker 1: you know, it's always been good. But then it just
- 20:16Speaker 1: got to a point where I didn't even have enough stuff.
- 20:18Speaker 1: We had like a ninety two Nissan CenTra. Oh wow,
- 20:23Speaker 1: that's who was riding around there. And then it got
- 20:26Speaker 1: to the point where and this is all right before
- 20:28Speaker 1: the Corona started and everything, but right before the corona started,
- 20:31Speaker 1: like probably three months four months before the Corona started,
- 20:35Speaker 1: it started being like damn, bro, Like I can't even
- 20:37Speaker 1: carry enough stuff for people. I will pull up on
- 20:39Speaker 1: one person. He'll want a two x to three xent.
- 20:41Speaker 1: He'll have his boy who want another large and the small.
- 20:44Speaker 1: So it's like, bro, I can't carry all this in
- 20:46Speaker 1: the central. So they're not invested in the van. Once
- 20:49Speaker 1: I invested in the van, we would do the deliveries
- 20:51Speaker 1: in the van. But and we'll have more merchandise. But
- 20:54Speaker 1: then what this one everybody was running when people was
- 20:56Speaker 1: running around picking up kids in vans, So it's like
- 20:59Speaker 1: I'm running around getting my money in his van, getting
- 21:01Speaker 1: pulled over two to three times a day because it's
- 21:04Speaker 1: just a white van, you know, they pulling me out,
- 21:07Speaker 1: searching the whole van. So then it's just like, Bro,
- 21:10Speaker 1: first of all, I can't make it to all these people.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Second of all, I'm getting pulled over left and right.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I don't have a license, you know, Like every time
- 21:18Speaker 1: I pull over, I got a switch seats with my boy,
- 21:20Speaker 1: like they jumping the drovers seat, bro, like they trip it.
- 21:22Speaker 1: So then it just got to a point where Corona hit,
- 21:25Speaker 1: and then more people wanted stuff. When Corona hit, all
- 21:28Speaker 1: the stores was closed, yep, you know. And another thing
- 21:31Speaker 1: people didn't realize. Once all the store closed, I mean
- 21:34Speaker 1: a lot of business was closed. Trap went up. It
- 21:37Speaker 1: was more people selling more weed, more people selling a
- 21:40Speaker 1: booming and edd was booming. So now it's like people
- 21:42Speaker 1: are making more money with nowhere to spend it. But
- 21:45Speaker 1: these high end stores because like other stores was closed
- 21:48Speaker 1: because that's when it was doing the break ins and
- 21:50Speaker 1: all of this because I was right around the same
- 21:52Speaker 1: time it was Black Lives Matter, So like a lot
- 21:55Speaker 1: of stores closed down that wasn't black because people was
- 21:58Speaker 1: kicking in the doors to George Floyd. Shit happened. So
- 22:02Speaker 1: I just found a parking lot right next to my
- 22:05Speaker 1: building that the like I didn't even pay for parking
- 22:08Speaker 1: at the time because the workers wasn't there because it
- 22:10Speaker 1: was Corona. So it got to a point where I'm like, yeah,
- 22:15Speaker 1: just meet me right here, downtown. Just meet me right here, downtown.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Pull up, pull up right here and right here in
- 22:19Speaker 1: this parking lot, pull up on me. And that's when
- 22:21Speaker 1: it was like after that, like my worker wasn't with me.
- 22:24Speaker 1: He was kind of sometimes with me. But I'll just
- 22:26Speaker 1: be like I got this now. So I'll literally park
- 22:28Speaker 1: there all morning, Like I'll get there like eleven ten
- 22:32Speaker 1: park still go through my DMS. You want it, a
- 22:34Speaker 1: you gotta pull up here and get it. You want it,
- 22:36Speaker 1: You got to pull up here and get it. So
- 22:37Speaker 1: then now they're pulling up to the van. They're pulling
- 22:40Speaker 1: up to the van to grab it all day long. Wow,
- 22:43Speaker 1: you know, And that's when it really started booming, you know.
- 22:46Speaker 1: And then it got to a point where my manufacturer
- 22:48Speaker 1: were closed, so I could still get the blanks, but
- 22:51Speaker 1: I had nobody to print print out. Yeah. So then
- 22:53Speaker 1: I'm like, fuck it, I'm about to start doing my
- 22:55Speaker 1: own printing. So I would sell a clothes during the
- 22:57Speaker 1: day and at night I would be in my apartments
- 23:00Speaker 1: screen print in the shirts, screen printing and paint everything.
- 23:05Speaker 1: It wasn't no middle man. Everybody was closed business. And
- 23:08Speaker 1: you stayed open there, they'll suit they'll tax your ass
- 23:11Speaker 1: for staying open during the pandemic. Yep. Everything. Well, now
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'm making my own ship. Next day, I'm going in
- 23:15Speaker 1: the parking lot. If somebody coming they wanted something out
- 23:17Speaker 1: of half, I'll make it the next night, take a deposit,
- 23:20Speaker 1: bring give it to them the next day, you know.
- 23:22Speaker 1: And then with that being said, stuff started opening back up.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Everything started being cool. You know. I still had all
- 23:28Speaker 1: these high end friends and clients. So when they come down,
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'm like, man, just pull up to the parking lot.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I got you. So now you got like peewee long way,
- 23:35Speaker 1: you got a little pump, you got young thug, you
- 23:38Speaker 1: got a little duke. You got all these people pulling
- 23:41Speaker 1: up to this parking lot buying stuff and I'm actually
- 23:44Speaker 1: recording it the whole time. So now the next person
- 23:47Speaker 1: to see it, and when it come to the parking lot,
- 23:49Speaker 1: theyself that's crazy. So then from there it's like the
- 23:53Speaker 1: parking lot was booming. You got Corona going on. All
- 23:56Speaker 1: the stores is closed. I'm making all of the clothes
- 23:58Speaker 1: by myself, by hand. It's no competition because nothing else
- 24:03Speaker 1: is open. And everybody had everyone got money. Everybody got money.
- 24:07Speaker 1: So you did like an awful lot of edd Yeah,
- 24:09Speaker 1: I made awful lot of it because I like, I
- 24:11Speaker 1: consider myself high in the street where and what's more
- 24:14Speaker 1: about the streets than dd For sure? That was like
- 24:17Speaker 1: Billboard for the streets. I can't wait till that documentary
- 24:20Speaker 1: comes out. Hey what up man? We gotta interrupt the
- 24:22Speaker 1: interview real quick to tell you about our family at

- 25:26Speaker 1: All right, go do that shout out to odd socks.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Let's get back to the interview. When they do a
- 25:31Speaker 1: documentary about the DD and PPP. Shit is gonna be
- 25:33Speaker 1: a movie because a lot of people won't know about it.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Was really just a California thing, That's real. CALLI had
- 25:39Speaker 1: was like they had people from all over the world
- 25:41Speaker 1: flying and Cali just to run eded. It was like,
- 25:43Speaker 1: if you was a scammer, this is like your golden year.
- 25:46Speaker 1: This is like the gold Rush for scammers. It was
- 25:49Speaker 1: the gold rush. Bro. There's people who I knew were
- 25:51Speaker 1: broke as fuck that were riding around in like maybag.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I'm like, bro, what the fuck? It was like all
- 25:56Speaker 1: of the underdogs I really wasn't making it, were started
- 25:58Speaker 1: making it because they have the time and they could
- 26:01Speaker 1: do it. So it went from like me selling a
- 26:03Speaker 1: few hoodies a day to me making like five six, seven, eight, nine,
- 26:06Speaker 1: ten thousand a day in the parking lot with no overhead,
- 26:10Speaker 1: with no overhead, no overhead, ten bands a day, every day,
- 26:14Speaker 1: no questions out the van. I started hiring employees to
- 26:17Speaker 1: work at the van, like kids that I could trust
- 26:19Speaker 1: because it's dangerous out there. But the crazy part is
- 26:21Speaker 1: I used to work at the parking lot selling and
- 26:24Speaker 1: then since it was nobody there, the lights never cut on.
- 26:27Speaker 1: So after the lights to cut off of me, after
- 26:29Speaker 1: to get dark in the parking lot, I would drive
- 26:30Speaker 1: to Benny Hibachi and post next today van. Because if
- 26:34Speaker 1: you simp lean, you eat Benny Hibachi. You know about
- 26:36Speaker 1: awful lot of costs serve of course, so I would
- 26:38Speaker 1: do like yo, for people who don't know you go
- 26:40Speaker 1: downtown to Bennie Abacchi. That shit is that's just booming. Yeah,
- 26:44Speaker 1: you'll be like anybody, anybody who's in town grabbing work
- 26:47Speaker 1: or whatever. They're all at Benny Benny Hibachi with offline
- 26:50Speaker 1: costs serve tracks, you know, straight up. So I will
- 26:52Speaker 1: park right there and just sell to theay clients and
- 26:55Speaker 1: vice versa. You know, people will pull up to buy
- 26:57Speaker 1: stuff for me and go to them. You know. Then
- 26:59Speaker 1: I think it got around like like you said, people
- 27:02Speaker 1: started breaking into the van. The parking people started coming
- 27:05Speaker 1: back after Corona. They start telling me I can't park there,
- 27:08Speaker 1: and I buy like five six, seven parking spots. Now
- 27:11Speaker 1: what's the problem Now. Then they're like, okay, this is
- 27:14Speaker 1: a parking lot. You can't have your clothes just set
- 27:16Speaker 1: up in a parking lot with tables and stuff. So
- 27:18Speaker 1: then I bought another van. I would keep one of them,
- 27:21Speaker 1: will keep the merchandise and storage. The other one I'll
- 27:23Speaker 1: have like displays out so when they pull up. So
- 27:26Speaker 1: it's like if you just drive past, you wouldn't see
- 27:28Speaker 1: nothing but two vans. But if you know this is
- 27:30Speaker 1: really where you get the awful lot of coff sirt at.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And with that being said, me dealing with all these
- 27:34Speaker 1: high artists. They'll post it on the ground and it'd
- 27:36Speaker 1: be like a hitting gym that you can't get to,
- 27:38Speaker 1: Like where's this act? Like nobody posts an address, but
- 27:41Speaker 1: I see everybody in this parking lot in downtown LA
- 27:44Speaker 1: with dub you know what I mean. I never would
- 27:46Speaker 1: really post the address. I'll just people want to know
- 27:48Speaker 1: you figure it out. You gotta figure it out. So
- 27:51Speaker 1: from there I got it just was so much getting
- 27:54Speaker 1: broken into police starting to harass me. I think like
- 27:58Speaker 1: I had a few robberies down there where people would
- 28:00Speaker 1: like follow my clients and rob on because they know,
- 28:03Speaker 1: like I'm talking, I'm big dogs, really put out there
- 28:05Speaker 1: spending like two three thousand on coft sir, And it's
- 28:08Speaker 1: one of the things where you'll buy it because when
- 28:10Speaker 1: you go home, yo, homie wants it, or you can
- 28:12Speaker 1: sell it to y'all homie for more, right, you know.
- 28:15Speaker 1: So then I got an opportunity to get a store
- 28:17Speaker 1: on Milros. I met a guy he was like, hey,
- 28:18Speaker 1: I got a store you know with the corona only
- 28:20Speaker 1: got paid twenty five percent of the rent right now,
- 28:23Speaker 1: I don't want to be in here. We're good until
- 28:25Speaker 1: like for like six months. If you give me six
- 28:27Speaker 1: months worth the rent, you know, the rent is like
- 28:30Speaker 1: probably like six seven thousand. Just give me like twenty
- 28:33Speaker 1: five thirty five hundred a month and I'll let you
- 28:36Speaker 1: keep it. But you got to pay it all up front.
- 28:39Speaker 1: So I'm like, all right, well, I'm gonna give them
- 28:41Speaker 1: like fifteen bands, fifteen man's. I was supposed to be
- 28:44Speaker 1: good for like five six months, you know what I mean.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Second month, they start cutting the lights off in the
- 28:49Speaker 1: building on Melros. Fucked. They locked the front door, changed
- 28:54Speaker 1: the locks on the front door, you know what I mean.
- 28:56Speaker 1: But this is still Corona, so you really technically can't
- 28:59Speaker 1: lock people out, you know what I mean. But then
- 29:02Speaker 1: it just got to a point where I had so
- 29:04Speaker 1: much inventory in there, and they're just like, look after
- 29:07Speaker 1: this date, we're gonna lock the doors and have to
- 29:09Speaker 1: This was a letter from the sheriffs. We're gonna lock
- 29:12Speaker 1: the doors and you're not gonna be able to get
- 29:14Speaker 1: anything out. So that was like February. I was literally
- 29:18Speaker 1: only there for like a month, but within that month,
- 29:20Speaker 1: I probably made like a million dollars. Wow, just being
- 29:23Speaker 1: on Milrose, Jesus, like probably two months to be exact,
- 29:27Speaker 1: two months. By the third month, I was like, I
- 29:28Speaker 1: gotta get up out of here, you know what I mean.
- 29:30Speaker 1: So by the third month, it's like, fuck, I really
- 29:34Speaker 1: gotta leave. I'm looking for different locations. I'm searching. You know,
- 29:39Speaker 1: they're still putting, trying to cut the lights off they
- 29:42Speaker 1: got the landlord is coming down, you know. So by
- 29:46Speaker 1: exactly like the fourth month, I found downtown. I got
- 29:49Speaker 1: signed the least for downtown, right next to the parking
- 29:53Speaker 1: lot that I used to sell out of. So it
- 29:55Speaker 1: was all right there, all worked out. Yeah, So then
- 29:57Speaker 1: I got that spot. Then like once I got that spot,
- 30:00Speaker 1: a week later, somebody hit me back for a spot
- 30:02Speaker 1: on Melrose, another spot on Melros, so then I took
- 30:06Speaker 1: that one too. Wow, well you have the old on
- 30:10Speaker 1: some Ship, right, yeah? So yeah, look so on some
- 30:13Speaker 1: Ship was the first building I have next door and
- 30:15Speaker 1: next door oh wow, okay, okay, okay, so the middle
- 30:18Speaker 1: building I got in the third work and you kind
- 30:22Speaker 1: of started selling in front of his store, right, That's
- 30:24Speaker 1: where I started. That's before like before when I was
- 30:27Speaker 1: still on tour with Pump. Yeah. I would get up
- 30:29Speaker 1: on Sundays and just post in front of the Atoms
- 30:31Speaker 1: store because everybody know me there. Yeah, and everybody was
- 30:33Speaker 1: pulling up because they were like wanting to run into
- 30:36Speaker 1: whoever the Yeah, that's what they do. They pull up
- 30:38Speaker 1: there to run into whoever's popular something first. Oh dub Yeah, okay,
- 30:41Speaker 1: you know me. You want a hoodie? Got these new hoodies? Yeah?
- 30:44Speaker 1: You know even though on my ground, you still see
- 30:46Speaker 1: to this day, I don't delete nothing. You could see
- 30:48Speaker 1: when I was still there selling in front of Atoms.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Now you got the spot. Now I got the spot.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Now I got two of the spots. That's it's crazy, man.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Now I just think it's dope because I spent just
- 30:59Speaker 1: watching the progress and like I was in Miami and
- 31:03Speaker 1: shout out to Ghazi. We're at his birthday party in
- 31:05Speaker 1: future walks in wearing the hat and I was like, man,
- 31:07Speaker 1: look at this guy. Man, that was like one of
- 31:09Speaker 1: the biggest things for in the future world, because it's
- 31:11Speaker 1: like without future and code and crazy, there'll be no
- 31:14Speaker 1: awful lot of costster. Fact, like I was listening to
- 31:18Speaker 1: March Madness when I got put over Wow, like on repeat,
- 31:23Speaker 1: like on repeat, bro, I was listening to nothing. That
- 31:25Speaker 1: was when the Future was going Monster March Madness Night
- 31:30Speaker 1: six nights, like he was going so crazy, Bro, I
- 31:32Speaker 1: was on repeat. If it wasn't for future with me, know,
- 31:35Speaker 1: off a lot of costs here, what for you? Like,
- 31:38Speaker 1: who's been somebody who supported I mean, first of all,
- 31:41Speaker 1: you've been doing a bunch of collapse. You talked about
- 31:44Speaker 1: Bennie Abatchi. You just did a collab with them, You
- 31:46Speaker 1: just did West Coast Customs. So this was my thing.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Once I got the store on Melros, my game plan was,
- 31:52Speaker 1: and I just got the store. Just got the store
- 31:54Speaker 1: in January this month. That was the first store. Then
- 31:56Speaker 1: I got kicked out in like April. Then I got
- 31:59Speaker 1: Downtown in and then anybody endo may I got the
- 32:01Speaker 1: other Merro store. So this is all. Don't think like
- 32:04Speaker 1: this took like literally within a month, I went from
- 32:06Speaker 1: a parking lot to like buying a million dollar crib,
- 32:10Speaker 1: owning the Rose Royce, having three three commercial stores, you know,
- 32:15Speaker 1: like within like nine to ten months. I did all
- 32:18Speaker 1: of that, you know what I mean. So I just
- 32:20Speaker 1: wanted people to think like, you know, at that time,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I kind of like I think it really went crazy
- 32:26Speaker 1: after I just told myself, like, look, I know I
- 32:28Speaker 1: know how to rap, I know how to make music,
- 32:30Speaker 1: but it's really a hobby at this time. It's a
- 32:33Speaker 1: hobby spending money on recording. I'm spending money on entertaining artists,
- 32:36Speaker 1: spending money on I slowed down on making music and
- 32:39Speaker 1: put more time into the clothes. Okay, because you were rapping,
- 32:42Speaker 1: you were, Yeah, I still wrap. I got a whole
- 32:44Speaker 1: mixtape with hit Boy right now. We just dropped our
- 32:46Speaker 1: first single like a lot, like two three weeks ago.
- 32:49Speaker 1: You kind of just put more effort into Hey, look
- 32:52Speaker 1: this close. I me because look at the end of
- 32:53Speaker 1: the day, if you're pulling even if you're making five
- 32:55Speaker 1: grand a day in that parking lot of like early right,
- 32:58Speaker 1: imagine making ten getting to the point whe're like, damn,
- 33:01Speaker 1: I'm making ten grand. Now, this is fucking crazy. Then
- 33:03Speaker 1: you go to that Merrow spot for however long it
- 33:05Speaker 1: was a million dollars in a month. This is an
- 33:09Speaker 1: astronomical amount of money, crazy amount of money. And then
- 33:12Speaker 1: with the price point, your margin's got to be crazy. Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 1: And then like I said, like once I got like
- 33:17Speaker 1: I told myself, when I go to Merrows, like this
- 33:20Speaker 1: is my whole plan the year when out the year
- 33:22Speaker 1: before I'm left like the year before the parking lot.
- 33:25Speaker 1: It was like, Okay, I'm gonna try to make a
- 33:26Speaker 1: million dollars this year. A million dollars a year is
- 33:29Speaker 1: only three thousand a day. Now, just because you made
- 33:33Speaker 1: a million that year, that don't mean you're gonna have
- 33:34Speaker 1: a million because you get overhead. Yeah. So after the
- 33:37Speaker 1: first year of me and I knew I could make
- 33:39Speaker 1: a million, the next year, I'm like, I gotta make
- 33:42Speaker 1: more than a million so I can put a million up.
- 33:43Speaker 1: You want to have a million in the bank. Yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 1: I want to have a million in the bank. So
- 33:47Speaker 1: then now I'm like, how do I do that? How
- 33:48Speaker 1: do I expand my expand my clothing line? I do collapse.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Once I get this storefront, I'm gonna do a collapse
- 33:56Speaker 1: every month. I mean, I may exchange my customers with
- 33:58Speaker 1: other people customers. You know, if you got a clothing line,
- 34:00Speaker 1: we do a collab. You get mine, I get yours.
- 34:03Speaker 1: But one thing that they're going to know that this
- 34:04Speaker 1: is where you need to go to get it. So
- 34:06Speaker 1: I went from doing collapse every month to where like
- 34:09Speaker 1: now I'm doing a collab like every two weeks. Who
- 34:12Speaker 1: have you done collabs with so far? I mean you've
- 34:14Speaker 1: done a lot so uh Like I said, I did
- 34:19Speaker 1: two collabs with Young Thug. I'm about to do a
- 34:22Speaker 1: collab with Gunner. I did a collab with my boy Sully.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I did a collab with Betty Hibachi. I did a
- 34:28Speaker 1: collabor with No Jumper. I did a collab with West
- 34:31Speaker 1: Coast Customs. I did a collab with Runts. Who else?
- 34:39Speaker 1: It's like six a lot, It's a lot, a lot
- 34:42Speaker 1: Exotic pop. You know, I grind it so hard, and
- 34:45Speaker 1: I've been messing with exotic pop. They gave me my
- 34:47Speaker 1: own sodas, probably one of their number one sodas everywhere.
- 34:49Speaker 1: You can see it in any smoke shop, liquor store,
- 34:52Speaker 1: grocery market, anywhere, any place. Detroit, La, Atlanta, Texas, New York.
- 34:57Speaker 1: They're everywhere, you know what I mean? Who else? I'm
- 35:04Speaker 1: working on some stuff with Travis uh uh, Travis Barker,
- 35:09Speaker 1: are you like interested in? Because I think what makes
- 35:13Speaker 1: your ship so fire and what shout out to Ithaca.
- 35:20Speaker 1: It's an interesting place over there. But you you you've
- 35:25Speaker 1: done like you're able to sell the ship you sell
- 35:30Speaker 1: at the price point. You're selling it not only because
- 35:31Speaker 1: it's fly, but also because it's hard to come by,
- 35:35Speaker 1: hard to come by and the people that's wearing it right,
- 35:38Speaker 1: So my question to you is are you doubling down
- 35:42Speaker 1: on the exclusivity of like what you're doing or like,
- 35:45Speaker 1: let's say, hypothetically speaking, Zoomis comes to the table and
- 35:49Speaker 1: they're like, we want to put your ship in our store.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Is that something you would even entertain at this point? Yes,
- 35:54Speaker 1: I would for a minute, I would say like no, no,
- 35:57Speaker 1: all what but this is the thing People like, Oh,
- 35:59Speaker 1: you're doing a lot of collapse. Oh, it's not as
- 36:02Speaker 1: rare as it. What bro these collapse I'm not doing
- 36:04Speaker 1: a thousand pieces. All these collabs are limited runs. If
- 36:07Speaker 1: you didn't get it at the pop up, you'll probably
- 36:09Speaker 1: never see it. You just did something with Bezo, just
- 36:12Speaker 1: did some word Vizo. It's so many collabs where it's
- 36:15Speaker 1: like I can't even keep up. But it's like it's
- 36:17Speaker 1: so limited, you know what I mean, Like me and Visil,
- 36:20Speaker 1: we probably only made about a hundred pieces, you know
- 36:22Speaker 1: what I mean, Like we're making like enough to go online,
- 36:24Speaker 1: to go here, to go there, no. Yeah, to post
- 36:26Speaker 1: these pieces, you gotta pull up and then it creates
- 36:28Speaker 1: the demand for it. And if the demand is high enough,
- 36:30Speaker 1: I might redo it and put it online. But besides that, bro,
- 36:33Speaker 1: if you don't get it in person. Now, I do
- 36:35Speaker 1: have items that I reprint, you know, like certain T shirts,
- 36:38Speaker 1: certain T shirt styles, Like I have a flip of
- 36:41Speaker 1: a waffle House shirt that's constantly on my website, that's
- 36:43Speaker 1: constantly in my store. It's a shirt. But certain hoodies
- 36:46Speaker 1: and certain stuff like that, you can't get it, you
- 36:49Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like this this hoodie right here.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Like if you don't get it when it's online and
- 36:53Speaker 1: the papa up within a month, it's gone forever, you
- 36:55Speaker 1: know what I mean? Do you see it? Like does
- 36:57Speaker 1: your ship like end up on eBay? And I I
- 37:01Speaker 1: was in Websters, I was in fred Siegel, Like like
- 37:03Speaker 1: that shit is everywhere and it's it's not on stock X,
- 37:07Speaker 1: but I see it on Holy Grail. You know it
- 37:10Speaker 1: holds it value. I had to go to this second
- 37:12Speaker 1: Street store on Melrose. They were buying my stuff and
- 37:15Speaker 1: reselling it. Wow, you know what I mean? And the
- 37:18Speaker 1: thing about it that was buying fake shit. That's how
- 37:20Speaker 1: high the demand is I walked in and I've seen
- 37:22Speaker 1: fake shit that they was buying and they were selling Like, bro,
- 37:25Speaker 1: it's not even Crosser, Like, it's not even my brain.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I never made this shirt of my life. Wow. So
- 37:30Speaker 1: it holds it value, has a great resell value, has
- 37:33Speaker 1: a great reseal value out of town. Out of town
- 37:35Speaker 1: people are selling my shirts for three hundred three fifty.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Are you still handling the production knowing everything every piece
- 37:41Speaker 1: of shirt that you don't war, I done touched it,
- 37:44Speaker 1: I done designed it, I do undid something to it.
- 37:46Speaker 1: It's nothing that go past me without these hands touching it.
- 37:48Speaker 1: That's crazy, man. Now I think it's dope because, like
- 37:51Speaker 1: you said, man, I just think that like being an
- 37:54Speaker 1: entrepreneur in hip hop is sometimes feels so far away
- 38:01Speaker 1: and unlike like when we see like when we think
- 38:03Speaker 1: of entrepreneurs and hip hop or in the culture, we
- 38:04Speaker 1: think of like jay Z, or we think of like nahs,
- 38:07Speaker 1: like invested in ring and like but like you, it's
- 38:10Speaker 1: to me, like your story is a perfect example of anybody,
- 38:14Speaker 1: no matter where you're at in life. It's not hard
- 38:18Speaker 1: to get from to that a ninety two CenTra to
- 38:23Speaker 1: a fucking Bentley or whatever. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 38:25Speaker 1: it's not and this the thing you just people aren't
- 38:29Speaker 1: directing their energy and they time the right place, broh.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Like everybody wants to be a rapper, everybody wants to
- 38:36Speaker 1: play sports. R do something else. Just try it. You've
- 38:39Speaker 1: been rapping for it three four years. What to just
- 38:42Speaker 1: get a few views on YouTube that pays you pennies
- 38:45Speaker 1: on the fucking you know, to get some shit on SoundCloud,
- 38:48Speaker 1: to get some shit on iTunes? When, bro, if you
- 38:50Speaker 1: just take that same energy and push your own clothing line,
- 38:54Speaker 1: push your own merch was it was? It was it
- 38:56Speaker 1: hard for you initially to like just figure out the
- 39:00Speaker 1: you know, like we're in LA so there's the garment district.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Like it's not hard to get a show. It's not.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I used to wake up every morning, not every morning,
- 39:07Speaker 1: but every time I wake up early, I'll just go
- 39:10Speaker 1: downtown to like it's between fourteenth and Maine and seventeenth
- 39:15Speaker 1: and Maine, and then it goes from Maine, Los Angeles,
- 39:19Speaker 1: Santa Fe all of them. Bro. You can literally it's
- 39:22Speaker 1: people besides me. There's people that go there, all these
- 39:25Speaker 1: girls with them online boutiques. They go there, buy the stuff,
- 39:27Speaker 1: selling stuff, all these little Yeah, there's like spots, like
- 39:31Speaker 1: you know, I'm from Phoenix, so there's girls who open
- 39:32Speaker 1: up botiques in Phoenix and all they do is come
- 39:34Speaker 1: to La buy stuff, pennies on the dollar and they
- 39:37Speaker 1: just yeah, little dresses, little all that shit. So it's
- 39:40Speaker 1: like I used to just wake up and just walk
- 39:42Speaker 1: downtown and see what I can put my logo on.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Like I'll walk like i'll today. I'll go on the block.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I'll walk in that store, see what I got, walk
- 39:48Speaker 1: in the next store and see what I got. Okay,
- 39:50Speaker 1: can I get one of those? One of those? I'll
- 39:51Speaker 1: go back, make samples. Then I'll go back and buy more.
- 39:55Speaker 1: But like that would be a part of my routine.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I would wake up, go downtown, restock on whatever blanks
- 39:59Speaker 1: I can open up the van, sell them pieces. Then
- 40:02Speaker 1: at night I'll make new pieces, post them on my
- 40:05Speaker 1: ground so people can see what's coming out tomorrow. Then
- 40:08Speaker 1: the next day it'll be for sale. Bro, It's so crazy,
- 40:10Speaker 1: because the reason why I love your story is because look,
- 40:13Speaker 1: when I was in high school, the reason I got
- 40:17Speaker 1: the name Bootleg keV was because from the ages of
- 40:21Speaker 1: sixteen to about nineteen. I was at the SWAT meet
- 40:25Speaker 1: every Saturday and Sunday in Phoenix. Remember when the picture
- 40:29Speaker 1: t's used to be popping with the heat presses. I
- 40:31Speaker 1: was running three heat presses at the same time, doing
- 40:33Speaker 1: the scarface picture ts, the Tupac mugshot, teas, all that shit.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Meanwhile getting all the bootleg dunks from fucking China, getting
- 40:41Speaker 1: all the bootleg persons from China, all the bootleg NFL
- 40:44Speaker 1: jerseys from China, and I had that shit booming. But
- 40:48Speaker 1: I literally be out there in my fucking pathfinder with
- 40:52Speaker 1: heat presses and a fucking PC. Motherfuckers will pull up
- 40:56Speaker 1: like yo, I want dish on a shirt. It's like cool,
- 40:58Speaker 1: come back in thirty minutes. I have your shirt ready,
- 41:00Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And like I just I was,
- 41:02Speaker 1: bro the hardest part was figuring out where to get
- 41:06Speaker 1: blank shirts and all that. But won't you figure that
- 41:07Speaker 1: shit out? Bro Like, There's really no excuse, man like.
- 41:11Speaker 1: And I just think that like that, that kind of
- 41:12Speaker 1: like story isn't glorified enough, bro Like. And you know
- 41:17Speaker 1: we always look at rappers and the quick come up
- 41:19Speaker 1: and everybody want that and the cloud and the fame
- 41:23Speaker 1: and all that shit. I'm like, bro, at the end
- 41:24Speaker 1: of the day, what matters is like financial stability, Like
- 41:27Speaker 1: no matter how you get it, and sometimes you just
- 41:28Speaker 1: gotta go a different route. Like like you, it's probably
- 41:31Speaker 1: like whoever watched this? You sitting at home doing whatever
- 41:33Speaker 1: you're doing. You feel me. Let's say you're sitting at
- 41:35Speaker 1: home just watching this TV on your couch and you
- 41:37Speaker 1: drink or so do you put it down? Oh? Why
- 41:40Speaker 1: don't we have coasters? Now let's say I'm not saying
- 41:43Speaker 1: you're gonna make become rich off of just coasters. It's
- 41:46Speaker 1: about your mindset too. It's about making a better coaster.
- 41:49Speaker 1: It's about putting more time in the coaster. It's about
- 41:51Speaker 1: promoting these coasts. I mean, you said shoelaces. There's literal
- 41:53Speaker 1: companies who kill it in the shoelace gains Like you
- 41:55Speaker 1: can go and just like okay, hey, you're like just it.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Don't even got to be a big person. You could
- 41:59Speaker 1: have friend, pick your friend with the most followers, tell
- 42:03Speaker 1: him you want to make that person the shoelace. Have
- 42:06Speaker 1: them promote that shoelace today, ten twenty thousand whatever. Now
- 42:09Speaker 1: out of that, you're gonna get people buying it, find
- 42:12Speaker 1: somebody else. You're gonna get more people buying it. Find
- 42:14Speaker 1: another person. Now you're growing your people, and you're growing
- 42:17Speaker 1: the catalog of shoelaces. You can do that with anything, bro, pencils,
- 42:22Speaker 1: you coasters. Uh my boy, Exotic Pop just did it
- 42:25Speaker 1: with sold us popshitz boom. He went and just started
- 42:32Speaker 1: getting stuff that people already used from different places, using
- 42:35Speaker 1: these artists to promote it. Once this artist drink it,
- 42:38Speaker 1: now all his fans want it, we're gonna have to
- 42:40Speaker 1: go back to get it through you. Now you're giving
- 42:43Speaker 1: these artists their own sold us, you know what I mean, Like,
- 42:48Speaker 1: come on, so many ways people y'all can get it.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Just stop trying to follow everybody else. Sometimes you just
- 42:54Speaker 1: need to see how they do it and take that
- 42:56Speaker 1: in do it your own way. Hats. I know a
- 42:57Speaker 1: homie right now killing it at hats. He's buying regular hats,
- 43:01Speaker 1: spray painting on him, putting his design on him, selling
- 43:04Speaker 1: on cracking fools for him. Now even like even like
- 43:07Speaker 1: the stitch joints, like you know, they're like, like you said,
- 43:11Speaker 1: you just gotta find your laying. I mean, just keep
- 43:14Speaker 1: going at it, you know, go from just buying go first,
- 43:17Speaker 1: you just buying a hat, putting a little something on it. Now,
- 43:19Speaker 1: get your packaging together, now, get your labels together, Now,
- 43:23Speaker 1: get your photography up, Now, get your promotion together. Now,
- 43:27Speaker 1: once you got a little money, pay people to wear it,
- 43:29Speaker 1: Pay models to wear it. You know what I mean.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Pay people to do commercials for it. Bless the right
- 43:33Speaker 1: people with your shit, you know what I mean. And
- 43:35Speaker 1: it's gonna grow. I promise you it's gonna grow faster
- 43:38Speaker 1: than your music career. It's crazy because obviously with guys
- 43:41Speaker 1: like Thug who had been big supporters of you, Like
- 43:44Speaker 1: when Thug pulls up, do you just bless him? What?
- 43:46Speaker 1: Thug gets everything when it first comes out, whether he
- 43:49Speaker 1: like it or not, Boom, as soon as I make it,
- 43:52Speaker 1: he damn there gets the samples, some samples he get
- 43:55Speaker 1: if he wear it. I will not make it just
- 43:57Speaker 1: because it's just for him. That's fine. He would like
- 44:00Speaker 1: I had a lot of people wear it, but a
- 44:02Speaker 1: lot of people aren't as influential as him. I can
- 44:05Speaker 1: promise you that guy first hand has helped me make
- 44:08Speaker 1: majority of the money I make today. Because it's not
- 44:10Speaker 1: like Okay, Thug put it on. I'm selling a lot
- 44:13Speaker 1: of more hoodies to all of these people. Know. Once
- 44:16Speaker 1: Thug put it on, the people that already know is
- 44:18Speaker 1: buying it faster. If I only got ten people, that's
- 44:22Speaker 1: my boy a, man, I need that one. Now they're
- 44:24Speaker 1: buying it faster. And now that they're buying it faster,
- 44:27Speaker 1: people are seeing them in it. And when he put
- 44:29Speaker 1: it on, it just turns. It turns from just being
- 44:31Speaker 1: a T shirt that I wear to support the homie
- 44:33Speaker 1: to drip. So now people really trying to like top him.
- 44:36Speaker 1: And it's not even just him, because it's like, if
- 44:38Speaker 1: you not this thug, don't be posting pictures of my shit.
- 44:40Speaker 1: He don't have to. He really doesn't have to because
- 44:44Speaker 1: the people around him that are so big that see
- 44:46Speaker 1: him wearing it. I'll get a text from whoever like, oh,
- 44:50Speaker 1: you must have seen Thug in it. That's why you're
- 44:51Speaker 1: hitting me up, you know what I mean? Once he
- 44:53Speaker 1: started wearing it, all of these people that already knew
- 44:56Speaker 1: me wanted it more and faster and quicker. Makes sense. Man,
- 45:02Speaker 1: have you had any bigger retail people reach out or
- 45:08Speaker 1: you know, you think of like a clothing line like cookies, right,
- 45:11Speaker 1: shout out to Berner Cookies as fucking one of the
- 45:13Speaker 1: first people to talk to me about doing the club
- 45:15Speaker 1: but never went together. But a whole lot of that's
- 45:17Speaker 1: an awful lot of cookies would be creating cookies. I've
- 45:19Speaker 1: been waiting on it. But you know, obviously he figured
- 45:23Speaker 1: out a way to scale it to where it's I mean,
- 45:26Speaker 1: obviously their surets are thirty five dollars, not one hundred
- 45:29Speaker 1: and twenty dollars. But you know, he's really mastered. We
- 45:34Speaker 1: just had him on the podcast last week. He said,
- 45:35Speaker 1: the cookies is the clothing line sixty million a year,
- 45:39Speaker 1: which is crazy. Have you had interest in like people
- 45:43Speaker 1: coming in trying to maybe either like a big retailer
- 45:46Speaker 1: or someone trying to come in and like partner with
- 45:49Speaker 1: you to take it to another level? Well no, not
- 45:52Speaker 1: like like like I said, I'm in fred Siegel's. That's
- 45:55Speaker 1: a big deal, big deal, yeah, fred Siegeles. I'm in
- 45:57Speaker 1: Webster's in Miami, and they have like two or three
- 45:59Speaker 1: other stories. They carry my stuff. But then again, like
- 46:02Speaker 1: I don't give them too much, you know, like I
- 46:05Speaker 1: still like I'm kind of old going sorry. I like
- 46:07Speaker 1: to control my own stuff. I have a few Buddies
- 46:09Speaker 1: that got a clothing line called Tulin. That's they don't
- 46:12Speaker 1: do retail, they don't do wholesale, they don't do nothing.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Everything that they do goes through them, and they're warehousing
- 46:17Speaker 1: their things. So like I kind of like that, you
- 46:19Speaker 1: know what I mean. I like being a majority shareholder,
- 46:22Speaker 1: the only person with the most you know what I mean.
- 46:25Speaker 1: So like people really feel that because I feel like
- 46:27Speaker 1: since I haven't spreaded my wings all the way out
- 46:31Speaker 1: that it just makes people want to come in more
- 46:33Speaker 1: because it's like he could really go there. I can
- 46:35Speaker 1: go to Tilly's right now, get a deal with my
- 46:37Speaker 1: shit is in autil you wait, wait it out, and
- 46:38Speaker 1: build your leverage up more. I don't need to. I'm saying,
- 46:41Speaker 1: like little two three years from now, you get that
- 46:43Speaker 1: that mother offer where you're like, Okay, I'm good for life.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Now let's go. Come on, man, let's go. I'm waiting
- 46:49Speaker 1: for the right one. But so you and you and
- 46:51Speaker 1: hit Boy putting out a project together, like for people
- 46:53Speaker 1: who don't know you're you're you're from the same area
- 46:56Speaker 1: as Nipsey, right, yes, sir, so you and Nipsy, Like
- 47:00Speaker 1: I know when he passed that that hurt you a lot,
- 47:01Speaker 1: but like, how would your guys' relationship? You said you
- 47:03Speaker 1: tattooed him in the past. Nip was one of the
- 47:06Speaker 1: first people with a platform that believed in me. Whatever
- 47:09Speaker 1: I did, now I told you I didn't like I
- 47:11Speaker 1: would do music. He fuck with my music. I made
- 47:13Speaker 1: clothes before off a lot of costshirt. He fucked with
- 47:16Speaker 1: my clothes. I did other things. I did tattoos. He
- 47:18Speaker 1: fucked with my tattoos. He just always said, whatever you got, bro,
- 47:21Speaker 1: you got it, and you need to run with it,
- 47:23Speaker 1: like you know what I mean. He was the first
- 47:25Speaker 1: person to start inviting me to the studio, you know, like, hey,
- 47:27Speaker 1: come over here. I want you to be a part
- 47:29Speaker 1: of this. You know we're doing it, we're filming this.
- 47:30Speaker 1: I want you to come here. A double law I
- 47:32Speaker 1: need you here for this, A double aw needs you
- 47:34Speaker 1: here for that. So, like you know, for somebody smaller,
- 47:37Speaker 1: when you have somebody with such a platform believe in you,
- 47:39Speaker 1: it kind of just gives you that extra like energy
- 47:42Speaker 1: to keep going, motivation. It's hard to keep going. He
- 47:46Speaker 1: low key motivated me to keep going until I find
- 47:48Speaker 1: my right little itch and twitch. You know what I mean?
- 47:51Speaker 1: Anything I ever did. He supported it the fullest. What
- 47:54Speaker 1: did you tattoo on that? I did the s on
- 47:56Speaker 1: his face, I did all my amb on his back.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I did when he finally got off probation, I did
- 48:03Speaker 1: finally free on his hands, and that was probably that
- 48:06Speaker 1: was pretty I did like three tattoos on that. What
- 48:08Speaker 1: did you do on Pump on Pump? I didn't get
- 48:11Speaker 1: on pump so many tattoos. It was a point where
- 48:14Speaker 1: we're overseas doing tour bro every night we were tap esketded,
- 48:18Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and different languages on our
- 48:20Speaker 1: arms and on other people. So we're in Switzerland, we'll
- 48:23Speaker 1: get it scattered in Switzerland. If we're in fucking uh,
- 48:27Speaker 1: what is the Portugal, we'll get in Spain? You know
- 48:30Speaker 1: what I mean? Like we're just going crazy, you know
- 48:32Speaker 1: what I mean. I would take I would have my
- 48:34Speaker 1: tat gun. I would have my clothes everywhere I went. Yeah,
- 48:37Speaker 1: the eskettered thing was it was I know a girl
- 48:39Speaker 1: who does radio who got a tattooed on her wrist.
- 48:42Speaker 1: She got scared her hair. I was like, yeah, I
- 48:46Speaker 1: was tapping out on everybody in sight, Like, if you
- 48:48Speaker 1: wanted to get it, I would give it to you.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Free tattoos. Free tattoos, that's crazy, it's legendary. At this
- 48:55Speaker 1: legendary would you ever open like a tattoo? Shot for sure?
- 48:59Speaker 1: Already in the work. So it's just right now. So
- 49:02Speaker 1: this is my biggest thing. I'm doing clothes. Clothes is
- 49:05Speaker 1: so popping right now. I'm about to do a colloid
- 49:07Speaker 1: with backpack boys. I'm about to do a cloud with
- 49:08Speaker 1: Alien Labs. I'm doing a colloub with all of these
- 49:10Speaker 1: alien labs just to laptops, right, no alien laps. That's
- 49:13Speaker 1: the that's connected connected to Alien. It's a week company.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I'm thinking of Alien. Where Alien. So the thing is,
- 49:20Speaker 1: it's like, okay, let's say all these people are coming
- 49:23Speaker 1: to me for to do collapse. I mean they like
- 49:26Speaker 1: what I got, they like my material, they like everything.
- 49:28Speaker 1: So I started an agency. So now after you come
- 49:31Speaker 1: and you do a collab with me, let me let
- 49:33Speaker 1: me design your merch, let me do let me run
- 49:35Speaker 1: your merch. Let me take this burden off your shoulders.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Let me do your distribution, let me do your designs,
- 49:41Speaker 1: let me let me do your mock ups. Let me
- 49:42Speaker 1: do everything for you. And since you know I know
- 49:45Speaker 1: what they like, you can tell I know what they like.
- 49:48Speaker 1: It's enough for this ship to go around. So go
- 49:50Speaker 1: from doing a collab with somebody to taking over their
- 49:53Speaker 1: merch to where it gets a point where I'm doing it.
- 49:55Speaker 1: I'm making money in the background. I was just saying,
- 49:57Speaker 1: what you build that agency up to be really like consistent,
- 50:01Speaker 1: and you have that. I mean, with all the relationships
- 50:03Speaker 1: you have, there's no reason why, yo, thug, let me
- 50:05Speaker 1: head of your merch, yo, pump, let me do the merch. Yeah,
- 50:10Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying. I just know, you know,
- 50:12Speaker 1: they like well you see you've seen me go from
- 50:14Speaker 1: zero to heroo. Yeah, but you know, I know the placements.
- 50:16Speaker 1: You know, I know, I know what they like. So
- 50:18Speaker 1: I'm just using that to my advantage right now. That's
- 50:21Speaker 1: big man, that's I mean, shit, dude, I just think,
- 50:23Speaker 1: like your story so inspiring. So I think like for
- 50:25Speaker 1: anybody who's you know, like we talked about you down
- 50:28Speaker 1: and out or you just don't know, like you know,
- 50:30Speaker 1: at the end of the day, man, not everything and
- 50:33Speaker 1: and and luckily for you, like what you're doing is
- 50:36Speaker 1: it is cool, it's hip, it's in. But like just
- 50:39Speaker 1: the idea of building a business doesn't always have to
- 50:42Speaker 1: be glamorous. It's not easy. But if you put one
- 50:46Speaker 1: thousand percent into anything like your chances are that it's
- 50:50Speaker 1: gonna work out. It's a big it's a bigger chance
- 50:52Speaker 1: of it working out, and you would make it some
- 50:55Speaker 1: type of money. Then then a lot of these other things.
- 50:57Speaker 1: If you're one to put in one foot out like it,
- 51:00Speaker 1: it's like, it's not gonna work. You gotta be ten
- 51:02Speaker 1: toes down. I just think, how hard is it to
- 51:04Speaker 1: pay six dollars for a shirt sell it for even
- 51:08Speaker 1: thirty dollars. It's not that hard. Now you do that
- 51:11Speaker 1: twenty times, you do that one hundred times, you got
- 51:13Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty times. It's all residual income. Bro,
- 51:18Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. You can still do whatever
- 51:20Speaker 1: you want to do, but you gonna see that putting
- 51:23Speaker 1: more time and effort than of this. I suggest everybody
- 51:26Speaker 1: to have some type of merch, Oh for sure. I
- 51:28Speaker 1: suggest everybody. Any person that has any type of platform,
- 51:32Speaker 1: I suggest that they have any type of merch. Whether
- 51:35Speaker 1: it's a T shirt, whether it's a beanie, whether it's
- 51:38Speaker 1: a hoodie that you drop every other month, every six months,
- 51:42Speaker 1: it's free money. People I feel like you should do
- 51:45Speaker 1: a collab with the full Sand guys on YouTube. Yeah,
- 51:49Speaker 1: that's an awful lot of Full Sand would be crazy.
- 51:52Speaker 1: That's why I just I just ran across them guys too.
- 51:54Speaker 1: They just got a bro. They do millions After this year, though,
- 51:58Speaker 1: Like I'm telling you, after this, I'm probably done with
- 51:59Speaker 1: like doing collouds with rappers. Yeah yeah, because I mean
- 52:03Speaker 1: you've done the big ones. Yeah. It's like I'm like,
- 52:05Speaker 1: like I might move on the pop, you know, I'm
- 52:07Speaker 1: looking at licenses and ship like I want to do
- 52:09Speaker 1: an awful lot of spinach. I want to do some
- 52:10Speaker 1: shit with popa you know what I mean. Like it's
- 52:13Speaker 1: bigger things out there than the rappers, you know what
- 52:15Speaker 1: I mean. Like I just tested the waters working with
- 52:18Speaker 1: like food companies and I mean ship the West Coast
- 52:20Speaker 1: Customs thing was kind of you know, that's a company,
- 52:22Speaker 1: you know what I mean, that's a that's a car shop,
- 52:25Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So like I'm just trying
- 52:26Speaker 1: different things, you know, but still keeping it going. You know,
- 52:29Speaker 1: it ain't gotta all just be wrapped around rap, you
- 52:31Speaker 1: know what I mean. I want to do some shit
- 52:34Speaker 1: about video games. That's an awful lot of Madden, you
- 52:36Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like stuff like that. We just
- 52:38Speaker 1: use some of the everywhere doing some stuff with my boy,
- 52:42Speaker 1: cool car, he gotta he got a shoe company, you
- 52:44Speaker 1: know what I mean, a collad with a shoe company.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Real quick plug the album with hit Boy, Oh awful
- 52:51Speaker 1: lot of hits. Me and hit Boy. It's an album
- 52:53Speaker 1: we made about a year ago. Every beat is slamming,
- 52:56Speaker 1: all of this ship is going crazy. We just dropped
- 52:59Speaker 1: the first single off of his We're about to drop
- 53:01Speaker 1: another one Intense, and it's really just songs just about
- 53:03Speaker 1: my life and like me going from like being like
- 53:06Speaker 1: a hustler to like being like a businessman, you know
- 53:08Speaker 1: what I mean. In these La streets. Hey man, congrats Bro,
- 53:13Speaker 1: you're you're killing it. Bro. The closer fire you got
- 53:17Speaker 1: to sew. I mean, look, man tapping. I love the
- 53:20Speaker 1: fact you got the van. Show everyone the chain man.
- 53:23Speaker 1: You can't never forget where you came from. And you
- 53:25Speaker 1: still got the van. Oh wait, they tricked the van
- 53:27Speaker 1: out of The van is on twenty folds. The van
- 53:30Speaker 1: is painted, the vans wrapped, the van, it's on air bags.
- 53:32Speaker 1: That motherfucker sit down to the ground like a little
- 53:35Speaker 1: kid throwing the temper tatrum. You never gonna get rid
- 53:37Speaker 1: of that van. Never. That van to me is like
- 53:39Speaker 1: the Statue of Liberty in New York, Like it's an
- 53:42Speaker 1: La staple. I didn't have that van in every I
- 53:44Speaker 1: didn't have that vent during the pandemic. I didn't have
- 53:46Speaker 1: that van in the riots. I didn't have that vent
- 53:49Speaker 1: in the protests. I didn't have that van. When did
- 53:51Speaker 1: you pull up to the protests and with with with
- 53:54Speaker 1: gear ready to go putting out with gear? I just
- 53:56Speaker 1: put up to the protest with the van, and I'm
- 53:58Speaker 1: like letting protesters sit on top of my band while
- 54:00Speaker 1: I'm driving and we're honking, you know, for freedom, for
- 54:03Speaker 1: for equality, for all that. You know what I mean?
- 54:06Speaker 1: That man is like an avid part of the community,
- 54:08Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Just all of the people
- 54:10Speaker 1: that would come down when I was in that parking
- 54:12Speaker 1: line and take pictures to it. I'll never get rid
- 54:14Speaker 1: of it. Did you document a lot of this stuff?
- 54:15Speaker 1: Everything is documented? So like in the parking lot trapping,
- 54:19Speaker 1: you got, bro. I can go through the archives right now,
- 54:21Speaker 1: you can. I can go for days. And besides that,
- 54:23Speaker 1: I don't delete posts. Yeah you gotta you gotta put
- 54:26Speaker 1: a little little docu series out once, you know, once
- 54:28Speaker 1: it makes sense. Man, Yeah, I'm looking for it, you know,
- 54:31Speaker 1: I just got to find the right person with my story.
- 54:33Speaker 1: I just want to inspire people, bro, I just want
- 54:35Speaker 1: people to like like for a lot of times. Because
- 54:37Speaker 1: you think you either got to sell dope. You know
- 54:39Speaker 1: what I mean, you got like these are most people
- 54:41Speaker 1: options as a kid, because I went through it. First
- 54:43Speaker 1: option is go to college. That only works if you
- 54:46Speaker 1: have some money, are you super smart? Or you could
- 54:48Speaker 1: sit there because it's hard as fuck to go to college.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Go to college, get a four year degree, and end
- 54:51Speaker 1: up a broke ass adult. Yeah you got college loans,
- 54:54Speaker 1: and then's working at some bullshit job. First one is college,
- 54:57Speaker 1: the second one is trapping. Tried that got my ass booked.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I spent three years in jail. On Christmas, I didn't
- 55:04Speaker 1: see Christmas for three years trying to trap. Yeah you
- 55:07Speaker 1: know what I mean. After trapping, then in la you know,
- 55:09Speaker 1: breaking in and stealing, pimping, it's sports. Then it's wrap.
- 55:13Speaker 1: You don't have to do none of those, bro, Start
- 55:16Speaker 1: a business, grind, put work into it, you know what
- 55:19Speaker 1: I mean. Get a fucking vending machine, dude, anything bro Like,
- 55:22Speaker 1: it's all types of stuff besides those, but that's like,
- 55:25Speaker 1: those are the ones that everybody. I'm saying, my son's
- 55:27Speaker 1: about to turn sixteen, and all I'm getting in for
- 55:31Speaker 1: I'm going to spend like five hundred dollars on candy
- 55:33Speaker 1: bars and chips and shit for him to take the
- 55:35Speaker 1: school and sell. That's where I started. Literally, that's what
- 55:38Speaker 1: he's getting for his birthday. That's where I started. I
- 55:40Speaker 1: used to be the kid that they used to pick
- 55:42Speaker 1: up and they used to drop us off in front
- 55:43Speaker 1: of banks and in front of like different stores with
- 55:46Speaker 1: the box of candy and excuse me, sir, do you
- 55:48Speaker 1: want to buy some candy dollar candies were selling it
- 55:50Speaker 1: for like five yep, you know what I mean. At
- 55:54Speaker 1: you know, in Birdbank, they don't got like a lot
- 55:56Speaker 1: of like you know, these healthy ass motherfuckers that fucking
- 55:58Speaker 1: they took that out of school a long time. Man.
- 56:00Speaker 1: The machines are trash. There ain't no suing. I'm like,
- 56:02Speaker 1: gro I mean, look, I'm gonna give him a little
- 56:05Speaker 1: hey look instead of me get because he wanted money,
- 56:07Speaker 1: and I was like, why don't I just give you?
- 56:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you the option to turn five hundred
- 56:12Speaker 1: and do a thousand. But you let's see what you're
- 56:15Speaker 1: made of. You know what I'm saying. If you like
- 56:17Speaker 1: your pops for my brother this year, like I buy
- 56:20Speaker 1: him stuff, all types of stuff. He loses Jeerry, he
- 56:22Speaker 1: read cars. So for this year, I went and bought
- 56:26Speaker 1: him some merch. Boom, bought him some merch. You sell
- 56:30Speaker 1: this like myself so much. You're my little brother. Think
- 56:33Speaker 1: your mind. Yep, they don't think this. Oh your brother
- 56:35Speaker 1: made this. This is awful lot of costs there yep. Okay,
- 56:38Speaker 1: bruning out of that, yep, yep. Go hustle this ship. Listen, man,
- 56:41Speaker 1: I appreciate you coming through. Man, that's soo dumb, my guy,
- 56:44Speaker 1: awful lot of bootlegs. Stop playing with his Let's go,
- 56:47Speaker 1: let's go.
