- 0:05Speaker 1: Drama Darling, Drama, Darling Drama Darling. Hello everybody, welcome back
- 0:22Speaker 1: into Drama Darling. It's a below deck kind of day,
- 0:26Speaker 1: So we're gonna go Dan and Dak in Emily's he
- 0:29Speaker 1: hated to do it with me. Hello, Emily, I.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Don't give up. You show up to tip meeting.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Oh my god, that was so it was very put on.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I loved it, but it was so like last night.
- 0:42Speaker 1: And I wasn't on a gummy. Okay, you guys, I
- 0:44Speaker 1: wasn't on a gummy And all I know what's real
- 0:48Speaker 1: now and what's fake. I've just gotten too good. I've
- 0:50Speaker 1: watched it for too long, and for two don't you
- 0:55Speaker 1: shake your.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Head at me.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I've been in this game way longer than you, my friend.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And see where they they have to push the needle
- 1:03Speaker 1: a little bit, and I don't mind because that's what
- 1:06Speaker 1: reality TV is. But you know, come on sometimes, well.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We'll see you know that they're good enough front. Ben
- 1:14Speaker 2: and Captain Jason seemed to be such good friends off
- 1:17Speaker 2: the boat that I could see Jason feeling Captain Jason
- 1:21Speaker 2: feeling comfortable to push it with him for the cameras.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You know, Ben's pushing it too. I mean, Ben's really
- 1:27Speaker 1: pushing it. See what I'm saying. That's but the drama
- 1:31Speaker 1: between Ben and Ellie totally real. Everything, Like, here's where
- 1:35Speaker 1: you have to understand what I'm looking at. I'm only
- 1:37Speaker 1: looking at the skeleton. I'm not looking at the meat.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'm saying that some of the things that they put
- 1:43Speaker 1: together for what to get from A to B is
- 1:47Speaker 1: a setup. It is produced. There's nothing wrong with that,
- 1:50Speaker 1: but that's what you do as a producer. You have
- 1:51Speaker 1: to do that. So when they have Captain Jason waking
- 1:56Speaker 1: up in the morning and he's like, I can't believe
- 1:58Speaker 1: they lift the boat like this. This, he's unacceptable and
- 2:02Speaker 1: these in his confessional he's like it's going to change,
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'm like, oh god, all right. Look if that was
- 2:09Speaker 1: very if that was actually real, I do think he'd
- 2:12Speaker 1: be that mad. But they're like, guys, don't clean up.
- 2:15Speaker 1: We're gonna deal with it in the morning, like after
- 2:18Speaker 1: the crew night and they run the boat. And then
- 2:20Speaker 1: they go to that meeting and he's like, I said
- 2:23Speaker 1: we were gonna start at seven am. No one's up,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and he's like waking people up. I'm like, this is bullshit.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Those are the little things, and I'm just it's fine,
- 2:33Speaker 1: But what about the Ben and Jenna sneaking into his
- 2:37Speaker 1: room and then having a little smoochie smooch and then
- 2:41Speaker 1: leaving and going and getting in bed with Eddie.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Last week, it didn't surprise me when she went into
- 2:48Speaker 2: Ben's room. I was like, surprise me zero. Then boy,
- 2:52Speaker 2: did she surprise me. They're going into Eddie. Yeah, right coming.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I didn't see it going either. I was surprised both
- 3:00Speaker 1: of them. But like, wow, she's she's she's something. She's
- 3:07Speaker 1: on her own bachelorette show. She's like, I'm drawn to Ben,
- 3:11Speaker 1: but I have a connection with Eddie, so I want
- 3:13Speaker 1: to explore that and see where that goes. So I'm
- 3:17Speaker 1: going to take him on the one on one. I'm like,
- 3:19Speaker 1: this is a whole Like she's gonna take one of
- 3:22Speaker 1: them to hometowns. I don't know who's gonna make it.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But she really is living her best life on this boat.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's doing it like she's kind of transparent
- 3:31Speaker 2: about it. I'm like, like Joao or any of these
- 3:35Speaker 2: other guys that we've seen in the past. I mean,
- 3:38Speaker 2: she is maybe doing things different than I would, but
- 3:42Speaker 2: she's like saying this is what I'm doing.
- 3:45Speaker 1: This is what I'm doing. Yeah, and she made know
- 3:48Speaker 1: if sands or butts about it. When she told Eddie
- 3:51Speaker 1: after they woke up from snuggles, She's like, not gonna,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I don't see us moving forward.
- 3:57Speaker 2: She didn't say I was just with Ben all night.
- 4:02Speaker 2: She didn't say that, but it's.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Right, Oh no, no, no, right now. Yeah did you
- 4:07Speaker 1: think that. I thought that you were saying that. But
- 4:09Speaker 1: she's been so straightforward, totally transparent, like wow, not bad,
- 4:16Speaker 1: not bad, not quite. That would have been hilarious though.
- 4:19Speaker 1: She's like, yeah, I was just in Ben's room, and
- 4:22Speaker 1: I've been thinking I don't see us.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I mean, I'm like ji woo, who, like what the hell? Dude?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Like, I don't like he doesn't know that guy Joe
- 4:34Speaker 1: he does.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, the other charter Joe that always gets in triangles
- 4:39Speaker 2: and Juan built the exact same in their brain.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Right, Well, a lot of men are, but at least
- 4:45Speaker 1: a lot of men on below deck are. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 1: all these love triangles. But like Jenna's like, I'm sick
- 4:52Speaker 1: of him, meaning Eddie love bombing me, and I was like, wow, he's.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Love bombing either. I think what he was saying, I
- 5:04Speaker 2: think I think just like a nice.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Guy, a nice guy just saying like, I want to
- 5:08Speaker 1: see what it's like to be with you. I guess
- 5:10Speaker 1: he thought that you were on the same page. I
- 5:12Speaker 1: don't know, but that's rough. And so she comes in,
- 5:17Speaker 1: like right before the charter starts and is like it's over,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know, And it's like giggling on the side about it,
- 5:25Speaker 1: like I've never had to break up with someone that
- 5:27Speaker 1: so soon. And he's walking by just so so sad,
- 5:33Speaker 1: his head is hanging low, and she's kind of giggling.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It's a little awkward until he got into that leopard uh,
- 5:41Speaker 1: those leopard shorts or the striptease.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I think she if he was more chill about not
- 5:47Speaker 2: talking about marriage and like everything right out of the gate,
- 5:52Speaker 2: I think she'd be more into it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So yeah, so you're saying she has a point, yes, right,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but that's I guess. Would you consider that love bombing
- 6:02Speaker 1: then or just coming on too strong?
- 6:04Speaker 2: No, because I don't think in his heart, and I
- 6:06Speaker 2: could be wrong, but I don't think he is trying
- 6:09Speaker 2: to manipulate her. And I think that's what bombing is.
- 6:12Speaker 2: It's when you're like going over the top to basically
- 6:16Speaker 2: grooming somebody.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah, she thinks that it's love bombing when it's just
- 6:20Speaker 1: somebody who's like really into her. And he's like he
- 6:24Speaker 1: doesn't have breaks, that's all no boundaries. Yeah, oh my god. Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 1: he was really you know, upset about it, very sullen,
- 6:36Speaker 1: little cranky. I get it. It's not got out of nowhere,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and that's fine. But they seem to make it through
- 6:42Speaker 1: this charter with getting to that Leopard party and then
- 6:45Speaker 1: kind of laughing it off, which was nice.
- 6:47Speaker 2: And I bet they still hook up because it's like,
- 6:49Speaker 2: I think she's into him as long as it's fun.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Her whole thing is like, buddy, you keep wanting to
- 6:55Speaker 2: talk about the future. Yeah, but we live on two
- 6:57Speaker 2: different continents. Yes, And you want kids and I want
- 7:02Speaker 2: kids and you absolutely don't want kids.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Right. How is he just you know, just kicking rocks
- 7:09Speaker 1: all over the yacht? He's got to figure it out. Okay,
- 7:15Speaker 1: when Alicia when they're cleaning the rooms and Alicia and
- 7:19Speaker 1: Micro in that room and he's like eating a funking
- 7:22Speaker 1: granola bar and you know how messy granola bars are.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I found a granola bar? Do you want some? And
- 7:29Speaker 1: it's just like, I'm just imagining all of the groanola
- 7:35Speaker 1: going onto the floor. I'm like, he is the worst.
- 7:37Speaker 1: He is the literal worst. Not only is he like
- 7:39Speaker 1: Tamra the tamera below deck, but to eat a granola
- 7:44Speaker 1: bar in a room you're cleaning takes it to a
- 7:47Speaker 1: different level of understanding who this person is.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I don't even know if he got to eat it.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I think he was just opening it for effort.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I probably try, like, because you can't if you're
- 7:58Speaker 1: in a predicament where you don't have a solid space
- 8:01Speaker 1: to eat this granola. Outside it is probably the only
- 8:05Speaker 1: place you can do it. But yeah, it's just gonna
- 8:10Speaker 1: fall everywhere. It's trying to navigate through that thing, try
- 8:14Speaker 1: to get it. He's like, oh, maybe it's better if
- 8:16Speaker 1: I break a piece off. That was worse because more
- 8:18Speaker 1: granola got everywhere. But if I bite it, it's gonna
- 8:21Speaker 1: it's gonna really, it's gonna spray granola.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I thought it was a nice gesture. I thought like
- 8:29Speaker 2: that he offered it.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, because after that meeting, Daisy's like, Daisy talks
- 8:38Speaker 1: to Mike later. Oh, this was later Daisy talks to
- 8:42Speaker 1: Mike and Daisy talks to Alicia and she's like the
- 8:44Speaker 1: Jovie oven egg I'm sick of you got to figure
- 8:48Speaker 1: it out on your own. And then Mike's like, well,
- 8:52Speaker 1: well I done, Like you're such an idiot. You were
- 8:57Speaker 1: eating granola on the floor and that probably pissed Alicia
- 9:00Speaker 1: off when she's trying to clean the room.
- 9:03Speaker 2: It does seem like he's now maybe a little eased
- 9:07Speaker 2: off of her and going for Jenna just to fuck
- 9:09Speaker 2: with her. Because of the Eddie stuff. Alicia might have
- 9:14Speaker 2: a couple of days off from from Mike.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:17Speaker 2: At the end of the day, though, Like Mike isn't
- 9:20Speaker 2: as offensive to me as other people have been in
- 9:24Speaker 2: that he's a harmless way.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's harmless. He's just he's stern it up.
- 9:29Speaker 1: He's a house.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah. He feels produced to me, And I don't know
- 9:32Speaker 2: why these gals are like taking the bait.
- 9:36Speaker 1: M h yeah, well they really are. He's like producing himself,
- 9:40Speaker 1: whereas others are like it's just like the producers are
- 9:44Speaker 1: saying to Captain, Okay, this is a mess. You have
- 9:46Speaker 1: to kind of do this. And Daisy, you've got to
- 9:49Speaker 1: go talk to Mike and Alicia like you would you're
- 9:51Speaker 1: upset about that, go in there and do that scene
- 9:53Speaker 1: and do tell them how you feel. Whereas Mike's like,
- 9:58Speaker 1: we done. Hey, Jenna, Eddie hates you. Oh, Eddie. Jenna
- 10:04Speaker 1: was in Ben's room last night, you know, like he's
- 10:07Speaker 1: just having fun.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Oh, he didn't know that the guy hired a glam team.
- 10:12Speaker 2: The charter let me open this granola for forty five minutes.
- 10:17Speaker 2: His hair.
- 10:18Speaker 1: We got another hairspray right front and center. Okay, so
- 10:23Speaker 1: let's talk about this new Oh god, we had to
- 10:27Speaker 1: go to wherever we were to meet Britt and Chanel
- 10:33Speaker 1: the co primaries and Joanna. We don't need to go there.
- 10:38Speaker 1: We could have learned about her on the boat. We
- 10:40Speaker 1: didn't need to do that. And also it was a
- 10:43Speaker 1: little misleading. I was like, oh, a lovely lesbian couple,
- 10:47Speaker 1: and then it was like, and we're married. I was
- 10:50Speaker 1: like boring, yeah, because they were doing their confessionals together
- 10:55Speaker 1: and they're like co primaries, and I'm like, Okay, this
- 10:58Speaker 1: is gonna be interesting. It'll be fun. We could just
- 11:00Speaker 1: see like some suburban lesbians like married and living that
- 11:04Speaker 1: suburban life, and then they're gonna go on a yah
- 11:07Speaker 1: and celebrate and it's like, Okay, we've got our husbands. Yeah,
- 11:12Speaker 1: you know, I would like them to take wah who
- 11:15Speaker 1: is or whatever? I think that Yeah, do you think
- 11:18Speaker 1: that was fake?
- 11:19Speaker 2: I think he was just like wahoo. I mean they're
- 11:24Speaker 2: they lived in Florida, so they would I would think.
- 11:26Speaker 2: But I need them to take the money they're using. Well,
- 11:31Speaker 2: but it's there's just fishing and fish no.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Not yeah, not well traveled. Well.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I need them to take the money they're using to
- 11:43Speaker 2: film these guests ahead of time and just pay the
- 11:47Speaker 2: deck crew, pay the blowdeck cast more. We don't need
- 11:52Speaker 2: to be sending people out to these places. Can you
- 11:55Speaker 2: imagine like they're sending.
- 11:58Speaker 1: They're not send out, They're not They're hiring local crew
- 12:01Speaker 1: to do that.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I'm saying there's a crew involved. They're not flying a
- 12:05Speaker 2: below deck production. I'm just saying there's they're paying a
- 12:08Speaker 2: crew to go to these homes.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I thought you meant sending them out from like the
- 12:12Speaker 1: production house in New York.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I know.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Now, Yeah, they're booking that crew, you know, and they're
- 12:18Speaker 1: getting them to that house there. They've got gaffers, they've
- 12:22Speaker 1: got it.
- 12:23Speaker 2: All, editors to light them all up.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It's a package. They might even bring in a little
- 12:29Speaker 1: bit of glam like lamb to do some touch ups. Yeah, sound,
- 12:33Speaker 1: give that ship to Daisy. Okay, boy does Joanna love
- 12:38Speaker 1: a lemon and garlic pasta? Okay, we get it, like
- 12:43Speaker 1: we get it, Jesus Christ. I mean, like, I love
- 12:47Speaker 1: pasta as much as the next guy. But Joanne put
- 12:52Speaker 1: a sock in it. All right.
- 12:54Speaker 2: We're Italian.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm like, oh God, you're making me embarrassed to be Italian.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Gonna bring it up anymore? You're making me ashamed even
- 13:03Speaker 1: like Leopard anymore. I'm kidding. She just was like, you know,
- 13:07Speaker 1: she was just like that kind of annoying Italian that's
- 13:09Speaker 1: like a Metalian.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Well, yeah, she needed the pastam.
- 13:17Speaker 1: She's a great cook. And it's like, hey, I made
- 13:20Speaker 1: lemon and garlic and anchovies again. What do you think
- 13:26Speaker 1: I think when I thought the last eighty five times
- 13:28Speaker 1: I've had it, Joanne Joanna? Oh my god, you know
- 13:35Speaker 1: what she reminded me of, though not anything else except
- 13:38Speaker 1: for this one thing. I believe everybody's birthday should be
- 13:41Speaker 1: celebrated big time. Jamie Moyer. Oh yeah, yeah, Jamie Moyer.
- 13:46Speaker 1: She will not let her birthday go by and I
- 13:49Speaker 1: am not like a birthday person. Imagine being friends with
- 13:52Speaker 1: someone who's that close to you that wants to celebrate
- 13:55Speaker 1: every fucking person's birthday and do something and by fucking
- 14:00Speaker 1: presence for everybody. And now that's who I.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Am, Jamie. I am telling Jamie.
- 14:04Speaker 1: It's like, okay, guys, Mary Beth and Annie's birthday, they're
- 14:09Speaker 1: they're March girls and Nicole too, Amy since your February.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't want to be celebrated, and she's like, wait,
- 14:17Speaker 1: we're not. We have to and I'm like, fine, but
- 14:20Speaker 1: you can throw me in with the March birthdays, but
- 14:22Speaker 1: we are not going out for my individual birthday. I refuse, like,
- 14:25Speaker 1: because there's too many birthdays. We can't do this. We
- 14:28Speaker 1: don't have that kind of time.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah it had, Jamie Moyle. I'm up.
- 14:34Speaker 1: It does celebrate us, I know, and I have no
- 14:37Speaker 1: problem doing that. But then I'm like, please don't pay
- 14:39Speaker 1: for me, Like, oh just stresses me out.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I am with you because I am not a one.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I am hey, I'm happy it's your birthday and I'll
- 14:50Speaker 2: kind of get into it, but I am not a
- 14:53Speaker 2: birthday person. I'm more like life achievements. Let's celebrate those
- 14:58Speaker 2: not not another year down. I'm not doing that.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And believe me, I do like seeing my friends and
- 15:05Speaker 1: at this time in our lives. It thank god that
- 15:08Speaker 1: she pushes it, or else we probably would never see
- 15:11Speaker 1: each other.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So well, yeah, and that way, that is nice because
- 15:14Speaker 2: it's like it is you need an excuse you do
- 15:17Speaker 2: and you have to push, and she does.
- 15:19Speaker 1: She sure she's on those threads. And she'll always start
- 15:22Speaker 1: it with like when she can do it, you know,
- 15:26Speaker 1: so She'll be like, how is Wednesday at two o'clock
- 15:30Speaker 1: or Saturday at four? And I'm like, neither one of
- 15:35Speaker 1: those times is ideal? Like did you throw out you
- 15:38Speaker 1: know what I mean? Rows it down? You know what.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I'm going to tell her. She's gonna be like, you
- 15:45Speaker 2: know what, no more birthdays for Amy.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Her last birthday was last year. It's over we already.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I celebrated with the March Girls. I celebrated with the
- 15:56Speaker 1: March Girls.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I do now. I knew it now even though my
- 16:00Speaker 2: birthday's in October. I'm gonna tell Jamie Amy's out put
- 16:04Speaker 2: me in with the March Girls.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Now you're the alternate.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Now that I'm really getting in the weeds, on how
- 16:11Speaker 2: much she loves a birthday, lean in sul Sandberg, lean in, Okay,
- 16:15Speaker 2: do it?
- 16:16Speaker 1: Do it?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Is that what that book's about.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I don't know. Sure, it's about birthdays, leaning into birthdays.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Hold on the other thing one more thing, which is
- 16:27Speaker 1: hilarious because I love her so much. She's such a character.
- 16:29Speaker 1: There's no one like her, and I get delight on
- 16:32Speaker 1: it now, like now, I'm fine. I had to go
- 16:35Speaker 1: through basically like a boot camp for years living in La. Well,
- 16:39Speaker 1: it started in Detroit, and I'm like, this is new
- 16:42Speaker 1: for me to celebrate people. Then once all of us
- 16:46Speaker 1: Detroiters were like here in La it's I'm used to
- 16:48Speaker 1: it now, I'm I plan for it. So then when
- 16:51Speaker 1: we're out at dinner and people have gotten each other gifts,
- 16:55Speaker 1: she wants to open the person has to open the
- 16:58Speaker 1: presence right then and there, and everyone has to stop
- 17:02Speaker 1: and watch. She's like you, guys, I and if you
- 17:05Speaker 1: don't pay attention, she will get mad. She's like, she
- 17:07Speaker 1: is opening my present. I would like to see her
- 17:09Speaker 1: enjoy it like she loves. She loves getting people stuff,
- 17:14Speaker 1: you know, and like giving it and seeing your reaction.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I mean, I do get that, but I yeah, these
- 17:25Speaker 2: birthdays are all right.
- 17:27Speaker 1: That's it up about that, darlings, Let's talk about shoes.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I know you all love shoes, and I know you
- 17:37Speaker 1: all love to be comfortable because you're like me. We
- 17:40Speaker 1: want to be stylish and we want to be comfortable.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Will take comfort in Born Shoes. My first order with
- 17:47Speaker 1: Born Shoes is a Zebra Modern clog. Yeah you heard
- 17:51Speaker 1: me right, Zebra Modern clog. Thank you. It's called the
- 17:55Speaker 1: Bangle look into. It comes in other colors. But anyway,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I digress. Here's what I knowed. I need comfortable shoes
- 18:02Speaker 1: to go to school, drop off, school pick up, look
- 18:05Speaker 1: great in between, when I have meetings or I'm walking
- 18:09Speaker 1: the runway in my own home, and frankly, I need
- 18:12Speaker 1: to look good. I'm really tired of trying to find

- 21:13Speaker 1: Reach your goals today. Okay, So Joanna is like, I
- 21:20Speaker 1: believe everybody's birthday should be celebrated big time, and that
- 21:24Speaker 1: is definitely something that Jamie does, So celebration for her.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Did your below decknotes? Stop there? And the rest of
- 21:31Speaker 2: your page is just like Shamie birthday notes?
- 21:40Speaker 1: Pretty much pretty much, pretty much pretty much. Okay. So
- 21:45Speaker 1: then we've got Daisy talks to Ben about like service
- 21:49Speaker 1: and before they start this charter, and he's already annoyed
- 21:52Speaker 1: with her, and she's like, I'm just asking, like what
- 21:56Speaker 1: the primary wants. He's like, oh, I didn't I called
- 21:59Speaker 1: this value. He's yeah, I get complicated. So they're kind
- 22:02Speaker 1: of getting off on the wrong foot. And then when
- 22:05Speaker 1: this chocolate moose cake thing came up, he did abandon
- 22:10Speaker 1: it for the leopard cake.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yeah, for the vanilla because it does say vanilla cake,
- 22:17Speaker 2: strawberries birthday.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Like, I love that you noticed that.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I was like, that is a bold move because he's like,
- 22:25Speaker 2: it doesn't say they don't like chocolate. So that's why
- 22:27Speaker 2: I did it. And you can't tell you fucked up.
- 22:31Speaker 2: He wanted to make that. Yeah, and then it's trying
- 22:34Speaker 2: to like retrofit it into the you know. I also,
- 22:39Speaker 2: I do think we're at a point in the charter
- 22:41Speaker 2: where you could say that things are being produced, or
- 22:44Speaker 2: you could say people just don't give a shit and
- 22:47Speaker 2: they fuck up and they're trying to just like stand
- 22:49Speaker 2: in it.
- 22:50Speaker 1: That. I don't think they produced that. I don't absolutely
- 22:53Speaker 1: believe that.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, And I do think Ben was tired and
- 22:57Speaker 2: wanted to take a nap and was like fuck this
- 22:59Speaker 2: and the not bad idea it absolutely Yeah. I mean
- 23:04Speaker 2: it's why this show is so good, because you very
- 23:07Speaker 2: easily get into situations that.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Are easily Yeah, you know what. I was actually thinking
- 23:13Speaker 1: about this last night too, Emily. I was like, they
- 23:17Speaker 1: this show below Deck is so good that it's very
- 23:21Speaker 1: few and far between where you see the seams of
- 23:25Speaker 1: what I saw last night. Yeah, and the only reason
- 23:27Speaker 1: why I'm pointing it out now is just because it's
- 23:29Speaker 1: funny to me to see the captain be like unexceptable,
- 23:35Speaker 1: you know, and it's confessional, but it's such a good show.
- 23:39Speaker 1: It's amazing to me. What an amazing job, what an
- 23:41Speaker 1: incredible job that the cast does. They have so much
- 23:45Speaker 1: going on. They have to work on this charter, They
- 23:48Speaker 1: have these emotional relationships, they've got work relationships, all these
- 23:52Speaker 1: interpersonal relationships happening. Then they also have to make time
- 23:56Speaker 1: to get a note from a producer where it's like,
- 24:00Speaker 1: these are the three things that I want you to
- 24:01Speaker 1: do today. At some point, you've got to talk to
- 24:04Speaker 1: Mike and Alicia. You've got to go discuss the dinner
- 24:07Speaker 1: with Ben, and you've got to go and do this
- 24:09Speaker 1: and other than that, I don't care what happens, but
- 24:11Speaker 1: these are the three things that you need to do.
- 24:13Speaker 1: They've got to remember the notes from that. And then
- 24:15Speaker 1: they have to also make time and do confessionals while
- 24:19Speaker 1: they're on the boat. Now, I know they do confessionals
- 24:21Speaker 1: later when they're off the boat as well, like pickups
- 24:23Speaker 1: and stuff. But they do have a room on the
- 24:26Speaker 1: boat typically where they do the green room confessionals and interviews.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So I was actually thinking, I wonder if they actually
- 24:35Speaker 1: have two days in between charters that they and they
- 24:39Speaker 1: don't tell us that one day is actually like a
- 24:41Speaker 1: production day where they do all their confessionals. I wonder
- 24:44Speaker 1: if they just don't tell us that.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Maybe because they also they do those at the hotel
- 24:49Speaker 2: as well, right, those interviews, I am curious about that
- 24:53Speaker 2: how that all works. Now. One moment that I was like,
- 24:56Speaker 2: oh shit, this is going to be huge is when
- 24:59Speaker 2: Joel pushed Captain Jason down the slide in front of
- 25:03Speaker 2: the guests because he doesn't want to be fucked with,
- 25:06Speaker 2: so he must have told him to do it.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, one hundred percent, Sorry, captain had to do it.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I'm like, bullshit, I call bullshit. There's no way the
- 25:17Speaker 1: captain would have allowed that. Yeah, and he made it
- 25:21Speaker 1: look like it was real because he had that little
- 25:23Speaker 1: like you know, can can oil can. He had that
- 25:28Speaker 1: oil can in there, you know. So yeah that he
- 25:33Speaker 1: had to have been like, hey, let's give these gifts
- 25:36Speaker 1: all real funny juke let's prank him.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Yeah. He doesn't like pranks and he doesn't like to
- 25:45Speaker 2: be the butt of the joke. No, way Eminem's.
- 25:49Speaker 1: That we talked about from the last underd Yeah, he
- 25:52Speaker 1: does not like it, no, so he for sure was
- 25:55Speaker 1: behind that. Yeah, but in that's.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Gosh of all the things, though, to be okay with
- 26:01Speaker 2: that was like such a fuck you to the captain move.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I think because he was in control of it. But
- 26:10Speaker 1: you're saying like, because he kind of looks like stupid
- 26:13Speaker 1: in front.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Of the gate, I mean really stupid. So I thought, like, I.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Mean, like the most stupid, like, I mean really when
- 26:22Speaker 1: he went down that, I was like, wow, you you
- 26:25Speaker 1: look humiliated, Like I've never seen someone so humiliated.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Well, shoving someone in the water even if you're not
- 26:32Speaker 2: ready to go in the water is the ultimate fuck you.
- 26:35Speaker 2: It is.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Oh, it is one hundred percent, one hundred percent.
- 26:39Speaker 2: So I was just like, Okay, I don't get it.
- 26:42Speaker 2: But yeah, Meanwhile, I was like, if this is put
- 26:46Speaker 2: on we didn't see him say it, right, that could
- 26:49Speaker 2: be the whole rest of the season of drama.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Right there, truly, which I'm like, the way that it
- 26:56Speaker 1: was edited it made me think, yes, we're really getting
- 27:00Speaker 1: into like the actual production of this this episode, so
- 27:03Speaker 1: let's just lean into it. As you said that Cheryl
- 27:06Speaker 1: Sandberg says, so it's possible they had a very weird
- 27:11Speaker 1: angle and shot of Joao running into Did you see
- 27:16Speaker 1: him run up into the slide?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Yes?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that was so weird, like a running And so
- 27:22Speaker 1: I was rewinding it, I'm like, that's such a strange
- 27:24Speaker 1: angle and a strange move and we didn't really see
- 27:28Speaker 1: much of it. So did the production not know that
- 27:30Speaker 1: he was going to do that because it's such a
- 27:33Speaker 1: bad angle of everything?
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah, right, right, So yeah, totally.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Or like or a camera failed and they didn't get
- 27:42Speaker 1: the right footage from the other side. That's kind of
- 27:45Speaker 1: the other thought I was thinking, because everything about it,
- 27:47Speaker 1: as we're saying, we know, the fact that we can
- 27:51Speaker 1: spend like ten minutes talking about this show is how
- 27:52Speaker 1: much we know this show. We know captain would never
- 27:55Speaker 1: put up with that bullshit, and we know and we
- 27:58Speaker 1: know it would be a storyline, and we also think
- 28:02Speaker 1: that the captain certainly allowed it. But was it something
- 28:05Speaker 1: that we were supposed to see on camera that was
- 28:07Speaker 1: supposed to be something that maybe the guests were involved
- 28:11Speaker 1: in where they're like push the captain down the slide?
- 28:14Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 28:15Speaker 2: And they yeah, because they love.
- 28:17Speaker 1: To like humiliate the crew. The crew knows if they're
- 28:21Speaker 1: like making themselves look less than or like clowns to
- 28:25Speaker 1: the primaries and to the charter guests, that's a win.
- 28:28Speaker 1: For the charter guests. They love it. They love making
- 28:30Speaker 1: them dress up and do weird things and just clown about. Wait, well,
- 28:37Speaker 1: what about Joanna? When the two Eddie and Mike started
- 28:42Speaker 1: their little magic Mike dance and they brought the chair
- 28:46Speaker 1: out and Mike turn it around.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Thank you, away from the guests.
- 28:51Speaker 1: And so she jumped on it like a stripper herself,
- 28:56Speaker 1: facing them. I was like, oh wow, because what else
- 28:58Speaker 1: would you do? I'm thinking, is that what she's supposed
- 29:01Speaker 1: to do? And they're like, well, that's the way you
- 29:03Speaker 1: want to sit? And She's like, I thought that we were,
- 29:06Speaker 1: am I not supposed to straddle this? And so I
- 29:09Speaker 1: guess the idea is like they're doing the dance for
- 29:13Speaker 1: her facing the other way, so that the guests can
- 29:16Speaker 1: see them dancing and not just their asses. That was
- 29:19Speaker 1: very confusing.
- 29:21Speaker 2: That was dumb because the guests don't care about you guys.
- 29:23Speaker 2: They want to see Joanna embarrassed?
- 29:26Speaker 1: Right, So what was that all about?
- 29:28Speaker 2: That made me nuts?
- 29:30Speaker 1: Okay, okay, thank you. Yeah, And I'm like, Mike is
- 29:33Speaker 1: supposed to be a professional, which makes me think this
- 29:37Speaker 1: is how they do it. They turn the chair around.
- 29:40Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm sure. Oh how sure? Are you well? Because I'm
- 29:44Speaker 1: thinking like when you were over at the Wild Rhinoceros
- 29:49Speaker 1: the other night.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Yeah, when they flew in the Chippendales from Vegas, which
- 29:53Speaker 2: my husband I were very offended by.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Oh my god, as you should be. Yeah, from Salt Lake.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Brett was there not my bra?
- 30:01Speaker 2: Not my bra?
- 30:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I think it was just a I bet that's what
- 30:07Speaker 2: you would do, but it wasn't the move for this.
- 30:10Speaker 2: They all wanted to see Joanna, not them.
- 30:13Speaker 1: He must not be familiar with doing bachelorette parties and
- 30:16Speaker 1: private parties because you don't turn the chair around. What
- 30:20Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 30:21Speaker 2: Yeah? Agreed, it's good in my notes. Good after pause
- 30:27Speaker 2: for Amy to talk about Jamie's birthday.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Birthday extravaganzas, Oh my god, that's hilarious. I loved when
- 30:37Speaker 1: Batoola was like, what is that sphinx? And he's like,
- 30:42Speaker 1: do you lie ye baby, and she's like, wow, so good.
- 30:50Speaker 1: It did look wild.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Well, then the guess is like, oh, it's a leopard.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I was like, nope, what that Hell.
- 30:58Speaker 1: What's that? I can't believe she was impressed.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that was so bizarre. It wasn't I thought maybe
- 31:08Speaker 2: God bless Ben leaned into it and acted like this
- 31:11Speaker 2: was maybe it looked better.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe. I love when he was sitting in the
- 31:15Speaker 1: crew mess and he had that cake there and he
- 31:18Speaker 1: put like the dried fern into it or yeah. But
- 31:26Speaker 1: I was like, it looks like the top of it
- 31:30Speaker 1: was gelatine. Like you know when they did those jelly
- 31:33Speaker 1: molds in the nineteen fifties, when they first got refrigerators
- 31:36Speaker 1: and doing those like big gelin gelatine things were a
- 31:40Speaker 1: huge symbol of wealth because not everybody had a refrigerator
- 31:45Speaker 1: and could keep something so cold. So like when people
- 31:48Speaker 1: would come over and they're like, oh, we've got the
- 31:50Speaker 1: flower gelatin, have some So in those big molds, that's
- 31:53Speaker 1: what it looked like. The consistency on the top of
- 31:55Speaker 1: it was like this thick layer of like a gelatine.
- 31:58Speaker 1: And you even saw the remains of it on the
- 32:00Speaker 1: plate from one of the guests.
- 32:02Speaker 2: It was like that. It was like that fond and glaze.
- 32:05Speaker 1: It was a fond and glaze I don't know.
- 32:07Speaker 2: But it is it is, Okay, I can it's a
- 32:10Speaker 2: glaze thing, that is. I've definitely seen it.
- 32:15Speaker 1: But I but okay, it's.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Maybe not my favorite thing. Yeah.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Is it glazy all the way through?
- 32:20Speaker 2: Or is?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Do you would it be a layer of whatever it
- 32:23Speaker 1: is and then you put a glaze on top.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I think so there's like a layer too. It's like
- 32:28Speaker 2: there's like a shell glazill kind of top. Okay, I'm
- 32:33Speaker 2: explaining it poorly.
- 32:34Speaker 1: No, No, I get well, you're explaining exactly what we saw.
- 32:37Speaker 1: So I just wanted to know if there's two steps
- 32:39Speaker 1: to that, and it sounds like there are. Yeah. Wow, Okay,
- 32:46Speaker 1: now listen, I did love the Leopard party. I'm not
- 32:48Speaker 1: gonna lie I do love Leopard. I mean, okay, I've
- 32:52Speaker 1: got cheet is on my wallpaper. I mean what am
- 32:53Speaker 1: I going to say? What am I going to do?
- 32:55Speaker 1: I do love Leopard. I like it. I like Leopard.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I'm wearing strikes. I like Leopard. Do you think I
- 33:01Speaker 1: like to s type? Do you think I'd like zebras
- 33:03Speaker 1: the rink stipe like lej like SPUs.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Pterinda, You're welcome.
- 33:13Speaker 1: After Leopard Cake, after Lapdan's leopard cake blah blah blah.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Morning Joao has not made a move yet on Daisy,
- 33:23Speaker 1: and she's very confused.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I would be too, because he has no problem
- 33:30Speaker 2: making a move. And then he's like again, back to Ellie.
- 33:33Speaker 2: I don't like it. Yeah, and I hope Daisy can
- 33:39Speaker 2: see through this. I don't want I need Ben to
- 33:42Speaker 2: step in again, like you should have stepped in and
- 33:45Speaker 2: stopped that cake going to Joel needs to stop Daisy
- 33:48Speaker 2: from going and bringing her own cake.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, now that.
- 33:56Speaker 2: It's Ben's job. But as a friend, I will say
- 34:01Speaker 2: I am liking Ben more than I ever have. He's
- 34:04Speaker 2: not perfect, but I do like that he has the
- 34:07Speaker 2: ability to really apologize.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Mm. I like that too. I do like Ben. Yeah,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I think we're on a good page with him. I
- 34:17Speaker 1: really am enjoying how much Ellie and Ben are getting along.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Certainly had a real pep in his step. The night
- 34:24Speaker 1: after Jenna visited his room and they bounded.
- 34:28Speaker 2: She said, what did you guys do or something? She's like,
- 34:31Speaker 2: we bounded She means bonded.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think bonded.
- 34:35Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 34:36Speaker 1: So we gag and bound each other.
- 34:41Speaker 2: She's like, here are the birthday cattles, like the what
- 34:45Speaker 2: the birthday? Oh the candles can caddles?
- 34:51Speaker 1: Oh my god? Because he wanted, he wanded, he wanted wandered. Yeah,
- 34:59Speaker 1: that's what I said, wanted. But yeah, Ben had a
- 35:03Speaker 1: real pep in his step in the kitchen and she's like,
- 35:06Speaker 1: what is happening with Ben? He's so giggly. He's like, yeah, baby,
- 35:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Love? Oh no, I did
- 35:16Speaker 1: it again. You're getting something in your honey pout. Yea,
- 35:21Speaker 1: my accents are a miss today, so I apologize. But
- 35:25Speaker 1: they're getting along. And I also liked how when Daisy
- 35:28Speaker 1: came in, was like, I also make the don't make
- 35:32Speaker 1: the most. You should have asked the guests and the
- 35:33Speaker 1: guests want cookies or whatever, and and Ellie was like,
- 35:38Speaker 1: agree with you, Like she totally took Ben's side, and
- 35:42Speaker 1: I loved that. I loved that they were collectively together,
- 35:47Speaker 1: you know, both wrong. Yeah? Was that for the moose
- 35:53Speaker 1: cake or was that for the cookies?
- 35:55Speaker 2: The cookies cause the Daisy put that peanut butter down
- 35:59Speaker 2: and the guests that I wish these were cookies. I'm
- 36:01Speaker 2: that nervous because Daisy was just saying they would love
- 36:04Speaker 2: to have cookies made, and she didn't specify peanut butter.
- 36:09Speaker 2: And I was like, this is going to be a
- 36:11Speaker 2: shit show. No matter what, she's gonna walk up there with.
- 36:13Speaker 2: It looked like it kind of looked like Ben was
- 36:15Speaker 2: making oatmeal raisin cookies, which I was like, that's a swing,
- 36:19Speaker 2: Like you better show up with peanut butter cookies like
- 36:21Speaker 2: I got chocolate chip.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I agree, And they were chocolate chip, correct.
- 36:26Speaker 2: They were. But the guests specifically, it was about the pana.
- 36:29Speaker 1: It was about the peanut butter, not the pasta. It's
- 36:31Speaker 1: about the peanut butter.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Peanut was about the pascha cookies in the pasta.
- 36:39Speaker 1: How is it it's the same, it's the same, anti Joanna. Okay,
- 36:47Speaker 1: But Daisy was right. She's like, I think the guys
- 36:50Speaker 1: want cookies and he's like, oh my god. But it
- 36:57Speaker 1: was true. They were in a back but man, yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 1: that feedback was bullshit.
- 37:05Speaker 2: You think Yeah, I thought it was right on.
- 37:08Speaker 1: The food wasn't very good. Well, Ben is slow and
- 37:12Speaker 1: someone said Ben as slow as molasses.
- 37:14Speaker 2: They didn't like the fish.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Yeah that's right. The fish was rubber.
- 37:19Speaker 2: And all that stuff, and they didn't want the fish.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I would be pissed.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Honestly, I'm just stuck on that crispy duck. It looks
- 37:27Speaker 1: so damn good.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Well did you know? And I don't know, maybe this
- 37:30Speaker 2: might have been the way it was edited. They were
- 37:33Speaker 2: like that is so good. But then I saw some
- 37:35Speaker 2: of them had not really had any and it was
- 37:38Speaker 2: like still put to the center of the table, like
- 37:41Speaker 2: we're done with this now.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Yeah, duck is a tough thing to quack out of
- 37:46Speaker 1: the kitchen for people. It's like it's not not everybody
- 37:49Speaker 1: likes duck. They say they wanted duck.
- 37:53Speaker 2: No, that's just it.
- 37:55Speaker 1: So yeah, okay, all right, I'm I'm on board now,
- 37:59Speaker 1: I get it. I get it.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, And I get that Ben wants to be
- 38:04Speaker 2: like minimal. He wants to be able to wow you
- 38:08Speaker 2: with what like without any notes. I get that chayof it.
- 38:12Speaker 1: For me, I'm just going to show up and show
- 38:16Speaker 1: my moose.
- 38:19Speaker 2: You didn't say you didn't want moose, right, But I think,
- 38:26Speaker 2: like I get why they did that, And if I
- 38:29Speaker 2: was on a charter, I would definitely like the whole
- 38:32Speaker 2: fun of it. For the guests, I would think is
- 38:34Speaker 2: connecting with the chef to be like what are you
- 38:37Speaker 2: thinking that's great, that's it.
- 38:40Speaker 1: That's all, that's all guest wants. But I guess I
- 38:44Speaker 1: was so misled by the food criticism because the last
- 38:48Speaker 1: thing I heard was Joanna be like, oh, you've been
- 38:51Speaker 1: knocking it out of the park. But then to get
- 38:53Speaker 1: these homemade cookies at the home.
- 38:55Speaker 2: That's not she did it. She was like this, you're
- 39:00Speaker 2: knocking it out of the park. At the end. Oh, yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 2: you're redeeming yourself.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Oh I didn't take it that way.
- 39:07Speaker 2: You were catching the Yeah, she was like, oh, you're
- 39:12Speaker 2: finally turning this show around.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Oh damn, that's auchie. I did not catch that. Ooh okay,
- 39:21Speaker 1: what's a slag.
- 39:25Speaker 2: But to you? But I can see where that would
- 39:27Speaker 2: be confusing, because it is. It does you're never quite
- 39:31Speaker 2: sure what's real and what's the edit. And they all
- 39:36Speaker 2: like the guy seemed really happy with the fish. They
- 39:38Speaker 2: were like, mine tastes great, Like so you don't know
- 39:41Speaker 2: what's what.
- 39:42Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, all right, they got a great tip
- 39:46Speaker 1: twenty eight hundred and Ben does get the helmets. So
- 39:48Speaker 1: there you have it, The Heads of Department dinner with Daisy,
- 39:52Speaker 1: Ben and Joao and not Mike and not Mike with
- 39:57Speaker 1: this little cardboard.
- 39:59Speaker 2: When Ben said that, I was like, oh, this is
- 40:02Speaker 2: gonna be good. And somehow someone got a conscience. Something
- 40:06Speaker 2: happened and Mike wasn't gonna go, but god, that would
- 40:10Speaker 2: have been great.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I know it's been funny, but yeah, Daisy was not happy.
- 40:16Speaker 1: She didn't like to be shooed out. And we did
- 40:18Speaker 1: see that in hand, shooing her out very disrespectful.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Those Memorial Day looks when they were like Daisy's like,
- 40:26Speaker 2: she's wearing half the American flag, that's right, the red
- 40:29Speaker 2: white dress. Yeah, and they all matched her, so they
- 40:31Speaker 2: all looked like the fourth of July.
- 40:33Speaker 1: I loved how Ben looked. I'm not gonna lie.
- 40:36Speaker 2: It looked good.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I thought those pants looked fantastic on him, and the
- 40:40Speaker 1: top and the top, the blouse, no, his button down
- 40:44Speaker 1: looked great. I was I was attracted to him. I was, yeah,
- 40:48Speaker 1: I love I loved it. But anyway, I was glad
- 40:51Speaker 1: that Ben did give her an apology. And Jao and
- 40:54Speaker 1: Daisy get mad at Ben. Wait what I have? I
- 40:59Speaker 1: have Joao and Daisy getting mad at Ben, and that's
- 41:01Speaker 1: the last thing I have. I don't even remember what.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Happened because he's like, fuck this.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Why did they get mad at him?
- 41:07Speaker 2: Because they both ganged up on him and then he
- 41:10Speaker 2: wasn't expecting it. I think he thought that, you know,
- 41:13Speaker 2: we were in a good place before your cigarette break,
- 41:16Speaker 2: and now you're mad at me. You're both turning on
- 41:19Speaker 2: me on this heads of department get together, like talk
- 41:23Speaker 2: to the guests. We need we do. The things that
- 41:25Speaker 2: Captain Jason said were very real and we're trying to
- 41:28Speaker 2: help you.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Okay, I got it, and I watched it like five
- 41:31Speaker 1: point thirty this morning, and I was very attentive, and
- 41:35Speaker 1: I guess at the very end, I don't know what happened.
- 41:37Speaker 2: And we made a chocolate moose cake. You no, I
- 41:40Speaker 2: didn't one.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyway, Well, it was a fun episode, very funny.
- 41:45Speaker 1: There wasn't enough Ellie. I have to say. That was
- 41:47Speaker 1: a disappointment, but it was still a great episode.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, there wasn't a lot of Ellie.
- 41:52Speaker 1: There wasn't. So anyway, thanks for listening, Darlens, and I
- 41:55Speaker 1: hope you have a great day. And you too, Emily,
- 41:58Speaker 1: you too.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Oh my god, Oh I think that is so thoughtful.
- 42:02Speaker 2: It is my birthday?
- 42:03Speaker 1: What oh no, no, day always always
