- 0:33Heroes Tour delivers a one of a kind show in Greenville,
- 0:37South Carolina. Blake Shelton brought his Friends and Heroes Tour
- 0:41to Bon Saccor's Wellness Arena in Greenville on Thursday evening,
- 0:45and it was clear from the start it would be
- 0:47a night to remember. Let me tell you something, everybody,
- 0:50you've never been to a concert like we're going to
- 0:52see here tonight, Shelton teased. The country superstar followed through
- 0:57on that promise, delivering a truly one of a kind
- 0:59concert that incorporated his biggest hits as well as those
- 1:02from his friends and heroes Craig Morgan, Deanna Carter, and
- 1:06Tray Satkins. This show offered a unique format that kept
- 1:09the audience on their toes throughout the entire evening. Shelton
- 1:13would take the stage for a few songs, then step
- 1:15aside to Lena let one of his genre heroes perform,
- 1:18before returning to keep the momentum going. It gave the
- 1:22show an all star jam session vibe rather than a
- 1:24typical concert, making it feel fresh and exciting. The show
- 1:28kicked off with rising star Emily Anne Roberts, who captivated
- 1:32the crowd with a heartfelt set of originals, including the
- 1:35tender love ballad easy Does It, The uplifting the building,
- 1:39and the bluegrass infused a.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Whole lot a little.
- 1:41Speaker 1: She's got the talent, charm, and star quality to make
- 1:44it big. It's only a matter of time before her
- 1:46moment arrives. Fans got their first glimp of Shelton when
- 1:50he hit the stage singing his latest chart topping hit,
- 1:52poor Me a Drink San's post Malone, setting the tone
- 1:56for the night ahead. Is this Thursday? The Oklahoma native
- 2:00the crowd There's no Thursdays in country music. This is Friday.
- 2:04The superstar went on to encourage fans to let loose
- 2:07and enjoy the night ahead, admitting It's Thursday and I'm
- 2:09really in a weird mood. He went on to sing
- 2:12hits like I'll Name the Dogs, all About Tonight and
- 2:15Neon Light before welcoming Craig Morgan to the stage. Morgan,
- 2:19joined by Shelton's band, then delivered performances of Redneck Yacht Club,
- 2:22That's what I Love About Sunday, and International Harvester, before
- 2:26Shelton returned with a major surprise after singing a Guy
- 2:30with a Girl. Fans were shocked when Shelton welcomed his
- 2:32wife Gwen Stefani to the stage for two of their duets,
- 2:36Nobody But You and Happy Anywhere. The smile on his
- 2:39face said it all as he proudly shouted Gwen Steffani,
- 2:42Everybody Steffani, sweetly blue Kisses, and smiled as the packed
- 2:46house welcomed her with a roar of applause. Diana Carter
- 2:49was up next, taking fans back to her iconic nineteen
- 2:52ninety five debut album with performances have We Danced Anyway,
- 2:56how Do I Get There? And her signature hit Strawberry Wine.
- 2:59The audience welcomed her with open arms, lighting up the
- 3:02arena with their cell phone lights. And singing along to
- 3:05every word. In the next part of the show, Shelton
- 3:08revisited some of his earliest hits, including the playful sum Beach,
- 3:11the fan favorite Old Red, and his career launching debut
- 3:14single Austin. After performing his oldest song, Shelton told the
- 3:19crowd it was only fitting to follow up with his
- 3:20newest track. He then launched into Texas, his latest chart
- 3:24climbing hit for relatively new release. The audience's response to
- 3:28the song was incredible. Look for this one soon to
- 3:30be number one. The next artist to take the stage
- 3:34was Trace Atkins, who entered the room singing Hockey TONK,
- 3:36Badonna KHNK, prompting the entire arena to sway.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Along with the addictive's beat.
- 3:41Speaker 1: After performances Were You Going to Miss This and Ladies
- 3:44Love Country Boys, Atkins teamed up with Shelton for back
- 3:47to back renditions of their hit duets hell Right and
- 3:50hill Billy Bone. Their hilarious banter added an extra layer
- 3:54of fun to the performance, making it a highlight that
- 3:56the fans absolutely loved things took it to learn. When
- 4:00Shelton invited Atkins, Morgan and Carter to join him for
- 4:02an acoustic segment, shining a spotlight on the heart of
- 4:05Nashville songwriting. Each artist took their turn performing a song
- 4:09they'd written, either for themselves or for others, creating a
- 4:13special intimate moment during the show. In true Blake Shelton fashion,
- 4:17he made this into a hilarious competition, which he dubbed
- 4:21the who has the best Song Left to Play? Competition
- 4:23of the Friends and Heroes Tour twenty twenty five, Shelton
- 4:27picked the energy back up with covers of George Strait
- 4:29and Alabama, before closing out the show with fan favorites
- 4:33God's Country Boys Round Here and an encore of God
- 4:36Gave Me You. Despite being a household name with sold
- 4:39out arenas and TV shows under his belt, Shelton never
- 4:43forgets his roots. Throughout the show, he shared stories from
- 4:46the early days of his career, reflecting on the times
- 4:49he performed in Greenville, reminding fans of the journey that
- 4:52brought him to where he is now. I've been coming
- 4:55here for a long time. I love Greenville. I played
- 4:58with Damn Blind Horse Saloon like twice a year, he recalled.
- 5:02Blake Shelton's Friends and Heroes Tour is one of the
- 5:04most unique concert experiences out there right now. Even after
- 5:07twenty three years in the industry, Shelton continues to deliver
- 5:11a stellar performance, combining his musical talents with his signature humor.
- 5:16His ability to connect with fans is unmatched, and the
- 5:19show in Greenville was a perfect example of that. Next,
- 5:23Luke Brian hilariously responds to being mistaken for Blake Shelton.
- 5:29Luke Brian and Blake Shelton have been known to take
- 5:31friendly jabs at each other any chance they get, which
- 5:34made it that much funnier when Brian revealed he was
- 5:37recently mistaken for his fellow country superstar while out on
- 5:41a fishing trip with his son, Tate. Brian filmed a
- 5:44video for social media that found him recapping the hilarious
- 5:47moment that had just taken place between him and a
- 5:50stranger at a gas station. So story of the day,
- 5:53Me and Tate were fishing and stopped by to get
- 5:55some snacks from a gas station. This kind of big
- 5:58guy tied it up, daring me down. I'm like, oh yeah,
- 6:01he recognizes me, he began, while the Georgia native obviously
- 6:05was under the impression that the man had recognized him
- 6:07as himself, Luke Bryant. It turns out he was confusing
- 6:10him with Blake Shelton. I walk up to the counter.
- 6:14He goes, man, god, dude, you look just like Blake Shelton.
- 6:16You're not Blake Shelton, are you? And I said, I'm
- 6:19not Blake Shelton. He goes, You've got to get that
- 6:22all the time. I was like, every now and then,
- 6:23I get it. But he goes, well, you're his doppelganger,
- 6:26and I mean, you know who he is. He's on
- 6:29that TV show. I said, yeah, I know who he is.
- 6:32Brian definitely got a kick out of playing along with
- 6:34the situation, But the best part came at the end
- 6:36when the man finished off their conversation by saying, could
- 6:39you imagine what it would be like to have Blake
- 6:41Shelton's money? The mind of a country Boy's singer let
- 6:44out a laugh before ending the video. His caption poked
- 6:47further fun at the mistake, as he wrote, identity theft
- 6:50is not a joke. Moving along. Miranda Lambert celebrates twenty
- 6:56years of Kerosene with two thousand and fives, I Don't
- 6:59Love Him Anymore and announces long awaited vinyl release. Miranda
- 7:05Lambert is marking the twentieth anniversary of her career changing
- 7:08major label debut Kerosene in a very special way. She
- 7:12released this week I Don't Love Here Anymore, and never
- 7:16before heard track recorded during the original album sessions. Additionally,
- 7:20the songsters announced that on April twenty fifth, fans will
- 7:23be able to get their hands on Kerosene on vinyl
- 7:26for the first time ever. As she said in a
- 7:29new Instagram post, it's about damn time for this, y'all.
- 7:32Kerosene debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Country
- 7:35Albums chart upon its March fifteenth, two thousand and five release,
- 7:40and eventually earned a platinum certification.
- 7:42Speaker 2: By the RIAA.
- 7:44Speaker 1: These songs laid the foundation of her iconic career, leading
- 7:48all the way up to her latest project, Postcards from Texas,
- 7:51which also serves as Lambert's tenth consecutive top ten album.
- 7:55This album changed everything for me, Lambert shares of the project,
- 7:59It's where my journey truly began, and I can hardly
- 8:01believe it's been twenty years. Releasing Kerosene on vinyl for
- 8:04the first time and sharing a never before heard song
- 8:07from that era feels incredibly special. I can't wait for
- 8:10you all to hear it and relive the fire that
- 8:13started at all. This is an incredibly important project for
- 8:16the Texas native to celebrate, as it will forever be
- 8:19on her for the impact it had on her twenty
- 8:21year career. It's safe to say that the artist she
- 8:24was at the time would be incredibly proud of how
- 8:26far she's come and the path she's paid for her
- 8:29to be a female act that others can follow. Miranda
- 8:33Lambert offers a dose of pure nostalgia for her Day
- 8:35One fans through I Don't Love Here Anymore. She wrote
- 8:39and recorded the song back in five, proving her belief
- 8:42that country music never gets old. Her youthful vocals came
- 8:46through clear as day amid the slow tempo tune as
- 8:49the powerful storytelling depicts a woman who feels unsettled in
- 8:52a relationship. While she's actually and technically content with the
- 8:56way things are, she also knows that there's better out
- 8:58there and that love filled memories she and her other
- 9:01were half once have made have been replaced by sadness.
- 9:05What good are these wings if you don't want to fly?
- 9:07Why share these two rings? If the sorrow's only mine.
- 9:10I don't know about you, but I've lost what I
- 9:12came for. It's an all right place to live, but
- 9:14I don't live here anymore, she sings in the emotive chorus.
- 9:18The anniversarial release of I Don't Love Her or I
- 9:21Don't Love Here Anymore follows Miranda Lambert's latest single, Run,
- 9:24which arrived at Country radio February twenty fourth with seventy
- 9:28three first week ads. The three time Grammy Award winners
- 9:32gearing up for a busy year on the road, She
- 9:34has been tapped to join Morgan Wallen for several stadium
- 9:37dates for the upcoming I'm the Problem to Her, in
- 9:40addition to headlining sets at festivals throughout the summer. Next
- 9:45John Parties, she Drives Away captures the bittersweet journey of
- 9:49fatherhood now that he's proud dad of two little girls.
- 9:54John Party is taking a break from his rowdy party
- 9:56anthems and tapping into his softer side with the heartwarming
- 9:59new song she Drives Away. The fresh release is set
- 10:02to appear on his upcoming fifth studio album, Honky Tok Hollywood,
- 10:06dropping April eleventh. Written by zach A Ben, Jimmy Bell
- 10:10Seth Ennis and Jordan Mitten and produced by Jay Joyce.
- 10:13She Drives Away powerfully portrays the emotional turmoil of father
- 10:17faces as he watches his daughter grow up. Party opens
- 10:21by sharing the moment he watches his little girl go
- 10:23off on her first date, although she might see him
- 10:25as overprotective, when he sits the boy down for a
- 10:28talk about treating his daughter right, he reveals his true
- 10:31feelings in the chorus, she drives away, and he's scared
- 10:34to death. You hold the wheel, he holds his breath.
- 10:37You ain't thinking about him, thinking it how it feels.
- 10:39Yesterday he drove her home. Now she drives away, he sings.
- 10:43The song goes on. The further emphasize how fast life
- 10:46truly goes, especially through.
- 10:48Speaker 2: The eyes of parents.
- 10:50Speaker 1: One day, they're holding their newborn in their arms, feeling
- 10:53like they have all the time in the world, and
- 10:55in the blink of an eye, sixteen years have passed
- 10:57and suddenly their kids are ready to take on.
- 10:59Speaker 2: The world all by themselves.
- 11:02Speaker 1: John Party admits he instantly felt a close connection to
- 11:05the story while reflecting on his own journey with his
- 11:07wife's summer and their two girls, Presley, Fawn, and Siana Grace.
- 11:12She Drives Away as a song that I knew I
- 11:14was going to record immediately, said Party. I think most
- 11:17of Dad's daughters will relate to it, but it reminded
- 11:19me so much of summer and my journey from when
- 11:23we started dating to ask her dad for her hand
- 11:25in marriage, and then having our daughters. Now I'll go
- 11:27through it from the other side with my daughters. It's
- 11:30a special song and I'm really excited for people to
- 11:32hear it. Adding to the sentimental nature of the song,
- 11:36Party also released a black and white music video that
- 11:38features a new adorable family moments in between performance clips.
- 11:43While John Party has true knack for creating late night anthems,
- 11:47this song is a great example of the tenderness that
- 11:49also lies within his artistry. This tear jerking song is
- 11:53one of the seventeen tracks that found their way onto
- 11:55the multi platinum Country Stars Next project. The country singer
- 11:59spent three weeks in the studio carefully bringing each track
- 12:02to life alongsideers, touring band and renowned producer Jay Joyce.
- 12:07She Drives Away joins previously released tunes Love the Lights
- 12:10Out and the project's lead single, Friday Night heartbreaker John
- 12:14Party will kick off his Honckey Talk Hollywood Tour on
- 12:17April twenty fifth, making stops and arenas and amphitheaters across
- 12:20the US with support from Caussie Ashton as well as
- 12:24Corey Kent on select dates. Back to Blake Shelton news,
- 12:28he announced his first solo album in nearly four years,
- 12:32for Recreational Use Only. Shelton returns after almost four years
- 12:37since his last studio album with for recreational Use Only.
- 12:40His highly anticipated debut under BBR music group BMG Nashville,
- 12:45slated for release on May ninth. Over the past few days,
- 12:49the Grand Old Operay member has sent fans into a
- 12:51frenzy with a series of cryptic posts on social media.
- 12:54On Tuesday, March twelfth, he posted a blank orange square
- 12:57with no context. Some fans wondered if he was sharing
- 13:01his pride for the Tennessee Volunteers, as it appears to
- 13:03closely match the team's color, while others wondered if there
- 13:06was a collaboration in the works, as they pointed out
- 13:09that it's nearly identical to the cover of Frank Ocean's
- 13:11twenty twelve hit album Channel Orange. He followed up with
- 13:16two more posts, both featuring the same orange background, except
- 13:19this time they had words. One simply read fruoh or fruo,
- 13:24and the second reveal that the letters stood for for
- 13:27recreational use only. While he certainly had fans scratching their heads,
- 13:31it's now clear that it was all leading up to
- 13:33the announcement of his new album. The project is poised
- 13:37to be deeply personal collection of twelve tracks that explore
- 13:40life's ups and downs through genuine storytelling, heartfelt emotion, and
- 13:44melodies that fans can't get enough of. Blake Shelton is
- 13:48also teamed up with a few of his fellow singer
- 13:50songwriters for collaborations across the project, offering guest appearances by
- 13:54his wife in superstar Gwen Stefani, country legend John Anderson,
- 13:59and his life longtime friend and tour mate Craig Morgan.
- 14:02It's been a long time since we had a new
- 14:04album out, and I want to thank the songwriters and
- 14:06musicians who help bring this record to life, said Shelton.
- 14:09Scott Hendricks and I have been working on this music
- 14:11for years and I'm beyond excited to finally share it
- 14:14with fans. The track list from for recreational use. Only
- 14:19stay country or die, trying Texas, hanging on strangers, let
- 14:24him in any way, having sweet home. Life's been coming
- 14:27too fast, don't Mississippi, all of my love, Cold can
- 14:32the keys and years. Now we slide on down to
- 14:37saving country music for news and commentary. With the first
- 14:40article dated March seventeenth, The Iron Hills Music Festival announces
- 14:45impressive inaugurial lineup.
- 14:47Speaker 2: You might be.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Surprised to learn that Birmingham, Alabama, right in the heart
- 14:51of country music homeland, does not have an annual country
- 14:54music festival. Well it does now It's called the Iron
- 14:58Hills Music Festival. One of the folks putting it on
- 15:01clearly have a good taste in country, from the Independent
- 15:04to legends to some of the better names in the mainstream.
- 15:07The Iron Hills Music Festival has announced its inaugural line
- 15:10up for October eleventh and twelfth, Happening at the historic
- 15:13Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark in downtown Birmingham. The two
- 15:19stage festival features the Turnpike Troubadours, Ryan Bingham and The
- 15:23Texas Gentleman Midland Travis trit Chase, Rice and Joe Dee,
- 15:27Messina as the top headliners with an undercar that also
- 15:30includes fast rising Mountain Grass Unit, American Aquarium, Cassius Culpeper Channing, Wilson,
- 15:36and others. Sloss Furnishes National Historic Landmark, Besides being tough
- 15:42to say, is a fifteen acre retired iron plant first
- 15:46founded in eighteen eighty seven. Birmingham, Alabama, is also proudly
- 15:50referred to as the Steel City and was once an
- 15:52iron or mecha, noteworthy for being one of the only
- 15:56geological sites on Earth where the four central elements in
- 15:59iron can ow be found. The location has hosted big
- 16:02music concerts in the past. The current climate of the
- 16:06music festival experience tells us that the fans expectations are
- 16:09at the highest level. Co founders Johnny Grimes and Chad
- 16:12Johnson say fans want what they pay for. Every principle
- 16:16involved in this event started out as a music fan
- 16:18long before we were with the ones producing the events.
- 16:22How do we extend beyond what money can buy and
- 16:24produce not just a concert or a festival, but a
- 16:27world class experience that will provide memories that will last
- 16:29a lifetime. We welcome the idea of such a challenge,
- 16:33and again the dates of the Iron Hills Music Festival
- 16:36in Birmingham, Alabama, October eleventh and twelfth. Well, if you're
- 16:40a regular listener, you must guess by now that Saving
- 16:43Country Music loves Zach Topp. So here's another story. Zachtops
- 16:47surges on charts sets Rodeo Record promises new album neo
- 16:52traditionalist Zach Tupp is the biggest new thing in country music,
- 16:56and he's only getting bigger. Albums do one of two
- 16:59things on the arts. They either go up or down.
- 17:02If they go down, they fall from their debut position,
- 17:04usually never to return to the prominence of their debut week.
- 17:08And if they keep going up, they tend to stick
- 17:10at the very top of the charts for a long time,
- 17:12often for years. Well that's the current trajectory, says Saving
- 17:16Country Music. For Zach tops twenty twenty four album Cold
- 17:19Beer in country music. The album has been doing well
- 17:23ever since its debut on April fifth of last year,
- 17:26but here in twenty twenty five, it's done better week
- 17:28over week, breaking into the top five on the country charts,
- 17:31surpassing Zach Bryan's recent albums and now competing with Morgan Wallen,
- 17:35Post Malone and jelly Roll for charts.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Supremacy.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Tops also broke into the top forty in the Billboard
- 17:41two hundred, meaning yes, he's now a top forty all
- 17:44genre artist. Check out the sales numbers you can realize
- 17:48that cold beer in country music for the first weeks
- 17:51of twenty twenty five and see how they're rising week
- 17:53to week. If they continue on this trend, he's likely
- 17:56to be in the top three in country music soon.
- 17:59The same popular larity is translated into the live space
- 18:02for the reigning saving Country Music Artist of the Year.
- 18:05Not only is Zach Top selling out any venue he
- 18:07posts on his calendar immediately, he recently set the twenty
- 18:10twenty five attendance record at Rodeo Houston by selling seventy
- 18:14eight hundred and sixty five tickets. That was on a
- 18:17Tuesday night. No less, he beat out Reba McIntyre and
- 18:20Brad Paisley among others to achieve that feat before Journey
- 18:24finally topped Zach on Friday at seventy two thy one
- 18:27hundred and nine. And for those hoping for more of
- 18:31where that came from, Zach Top might deliver sooner rather
- 18:34than later. During a Spotify Q and a at Rodeo Houston,
- 18:37Top shared, I just went in and tracked a few
- 18:39more songs to finish out the second record, So we
- 18:42got that finished up and are getting it mixed now.
- 18:45It'll come out at some point in the summer. I'm
- 18:47not sure exactly when yet, but there will be a
- 18:50new record coming this summer. A new album from Zach
- 18:53Top might shoot straight to number one and might knock
- 18:55cold beer and country music out of the way to
- 18:57get there. Meanwhile, Top is also so doing well on
- 19:00radio with his viral hit I Never Lie, currently sitting
- 19:03at number seven on the media based chart and is
- 19:06likely to get to number one before the summer. We've
- 19:09witnessed major chart surges by non radio country artists over
- 19:13the last many years, including multiple albums from Zack Bryan
- 19:16in Purgatory by Tyler Childers, but Zaktop is the first
- 19:20purely country artist to accomplish this, and it's probably a
- 19:23sure Betty's breaking down barriers for other throwback country performers
- 19:27in the process. Now on the menu, It's Tastes of Country.
- 19:32With the first article from TOC dated March nineteenth. Lollapalooza
- 19:37just announced its first ever country music headliner. Lollapalooza is
- 19:43going country in a way the Chicago music festival has
- 19:46never done before. The twenty twenty five lineup was just
- 19:49announced that it includes one of country music's biggest artists.
- 19:53Lollapalooza twenty twenty five takes place at Grant Park in Chicago,
- 19:57of course, from July thirty first to August third. Olivia Rodrigo,
- 20:02Tyler the Creator and Sabrina Carpenter are three of the
- 20:04most well known stars books to perform. Luke Combs is
- 20:08set to headline one of the stages, which is historic
- 20:11because no country artist has ever done that. In fact,
- 20:15the list of country artists to play the festival is
- 20:17so small that when Dirk S Bentley did so in
- 20:19two thousand and eight, he joked that he was Lalla's
- 20:22token country performer. Eric Church and Casey Musgraves are two
- 20:26more who played early in their careers there. Combs is
- 20:29the first to do so with a long list of
- 20:31certified country radio hits, and he's the first to close
- 20:35the stage down. Interestingly, it's not the only iconic music
- 20:39festival he'll play in twenty twenty five. Colmes is announced
- 20:43or not announced a headlining tour for the year. Instead,
- 20:45he's slated to play festivals including Tortuga and Stage Coach
- 20:49in April, Bonneroo and June, and his own bootleggers Bonfire
- 20:53in October. It's a relatively quiet time for an artist
- 20:56who has seemingly had at least one song on the
- 20:58radio airplay charts each week since he debuted with Hurricane
- 21:02back in twenty sixteen. Rufus Dusol twice as a p
- 21:08Rocky Corn, Gracy Adams, and dout Jay are some of
- 21:11the other headliners. As is usually the case, there is
- 21:14minimal country music to support Combs. There are one hundred
- 21:18and seventy acts on this year's Lolla Palooza lineup card. Next,
- 21:23Cody Johnson teases his next big superstar duet, and it's
- 21:28a big one. It's tough to follow up previous duet
- 21:31partners like Carrie Underwood and Jelly Roll, but as he
- 21:34works on his next musical chapter, Cody Johnson is teasing
- 21:37a new collaborator who might be.
- 21:39Speaker 2: One of the biggest yet.
- 21:41Speaker 1: During a conversation with Odyssey's Katie Neal this month, Johnson
- 21:44was asked if he'd ever think about dueting with Luke Combs,
- 21:47and well, he certainly didn't say no. I mean it
- 21:50could be in the works, Johnson hit it. I can
- 21:52either confirm nor deny. The two country powerhouses appeared together
- 21:56on stage during Johnson's Nashville show in mid February. Colmbs
- 22:00came out of the very end of the night during
- 22:02the second encore, and they sang a barn burning version
- 22:05of Colmbs's Beer Never Broke My Heart to close down
- 22:08the show. He wasn't the only unannounced guest during that show,
- 22:11but he was the most out of left field artist
- 22:13to join Johnson on stage, since he was the only
- 22:16one that night who hadn't yet released a duet with Johnson.
- 22:20But Johnson's conversation with Odyssey sure makes it sound like
- 22:22a Luke Colmb's collab is strong possibility. Maybe I'm going
- 22:27in this year to record a new album, the singer said,
- 22:29And there's a certain song that I'm pretty certain. We're
- 22:31just we're kind of playing with it. We're going back
- 22:34and forth. Johnson had nothing but praise for Comb's live presence,
- 22:38especially his signature trick of shotgunning a beer on stage during.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Beer Never Broke My Heart.
- 22:45Speaker 1: When he shots guns beer. It's like defy science and physics.
- 22:48To me, I'm like, where does the liquid go? Johnson joked.
- 22:51Johnson's most recent album is the deluxe version of Leather,
- 22:54which he released in November. That follows the original Leather Project,
- 22:58which came out in twenty twenty three. He typically gets
- 23:01back in the studio after an album at a pretty
- 23:03rapid clip. Normally, he averages an album release and sometimes
- 23:06a double album every two years, So if Johnson continues
- 23:10that pace, fans could certainly expect to see the fruits
- 23:13of his newest studio sessions, including a potential Comb's duet,
- 23:18within a year or so. Moving on, Kelly Clarkson returns
- 23:22to her talk show, gives no explanation for long absence.
- 23:27Kelly Clarkson has finally returned to the set of The
- 23:29Kelly Clarkson Show. The host was absent from her Emmy
- 23:31winning daytime talk show for the better part of March,
- 23:34missing nearly ten episodes. However, she returned to her couch
- 23:38on Tuesday, March eighteenth to chat with guests Adam Scott
- 23:41and Mark Reverlott. Despite missing several episodes, the pop singer
- 23:45offered up no explanation for her absence. Instead, she launched
- 23:49the show as she normally does with her Kelly Yoake segment,
- 23:52and then brought out her first guest entertainment. Tonight gave
- 23:55some insight on the reason for her absence on March sixteenth,
- 23:59citing an unnamed so who said Clarkson had a sudden
- 24:01family emergency that kept.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Her away from the show.
- 24:05Speaker 1: The nature of the event was so private, in fact,
- 24:07that even her guests were unaware she would not be
- 24:09there until the show's taping. Each guest host was notified
- 24:13upon arriving on set that they would not be appearing
- 24:15on the show to talk with their respective projects, but
- 24:18could instead host the show if they wanted to. Clarkson's
- 24:22first absence from The Kylie Clarkson Show was March third,
- 24:25when actor simmylub filled in for her. She returned for
- 24:28the following two episodes, leading many to believe it was
- 24:31just a wide off event. Now, the singer neglected to
- 24:34inform the art and say as to why she was
- 24:36not president at that time too. Once again, Clarkson was
- 24:39missing from her chair on March sixth, and it will
- 24:41be several days before she returned The show featured a
- 24:44list of guest hosts instead. Finally, from the Taste of
- 24:48Country of fifteen songs that made us all fall in
- 24:52love with country music. And that's according to the staff
- 24:55of Taste of Country. When you think back to your
- 24:58earliest memories of country music, songs come to mind, and
- 25:01this staff compile list the folks that Taste of Country
- 25:04share their stories that made us fall in love with
- 25:06this one of a kind genre. Well, we'll read through
- 25:09this list. See what you think. Garth Brooks, I've Got
- 25:12Friends in Low Places. One staff member says, I fell
- 25:16in love with this song when I was ten, and
- 25:17it was my first exposure to country music. I have
- 25:20fond memories of being on the school bus going to
- 25:22elementary school and coming home with a whole bus singing
- 25:25the chorus in Unison Shania Twain man I Feel Like
- 25:29a Woman. Two staff members voted for this one, remembering
- 25:34that their mom driving their best friend and her to
- 25:36school every morning. My mom was a cool mom, and
- 25:39each morning without fail, she'd play she Nia Twain's Come
- 25:42On Over album. My friend and I would beg her
- 25:44to play man I Feel Like a Woman. The Chicks
- 25:48Traveling Soldier staff member says, my first day is a
- 25:51country radio DJ was March tenth, two thousand and three,
- 25:55the same day that Natalie Maine said she was ashamed.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Of the president.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Before that, I never bothered with country, but I couldn't
- 26:01ignore the power of traveling soldier. How about Jason Aldeen's
- 26:05big Green Tractor. One employee says, I just gotten my
- 26:09license in a car. I thought I was so cool.
- 26:11The first thing I did was burn a CD full
- 26:13of my favorite songs, as one did back in the
- 26:16days before smart speakers. It was packed full of Taylor
- 26:19Swift and the Jonas Brothers, but Jason Aldeen's Big Green
- 26:22Tractor made my cut. Another staffer says, Hank Williams Junior,
- 26:27All my rowdy friends are coming over tonight. Yes, this
- 26:30is probably cheating, but in the stafford's opinion, there is
- 26:33no better song on all of the sports than the
- 26:35old Monday night football theme. Blue Clear Sky from George
- 26:41Strait one of the staffer's favorites of getting into country
- 26:45music from Taste of Country. Although this song made it
- 26:48to my playlist years after its release date, it solidified
- 26:51my love, she says for country music. First of all,
- 26:55it's from the King of country music. Second of all,
- 26:57this song instantly takes me back to being sixteen. Other
- 27:01staffers picked why Haven't I Heard from You? From Reba
- 27:03McIntyre growing up to the Houston Rodeo, and they saw
- 27:08Reba there in the early nineties. Dang, what a queen.
- 27:11Nineteen ninety four rolls around and this staffer is in
- 27:14elementary school and the talent show is fast approaching. My
- 27:17best friend and I decided to audition, and what better
- 27:19song to sing than Reba's hit That year, another staffer
- 27:23picked Leon Womack's I Hope You Dance, remembering listening to
- 27:27this with her friends as a kid, and it's one
- 27:29of the earliest memories they have of listening to country music.
- 27:33Glenn Campbell Jennel on My Mind. The Ban Perry's tremendous
- 27:36cover of Jennal on My Mind inspired another stafford to
- 27:39look more seriously at not only Glenn Campbell's catalog, but
- 27:42the catalogs of so many legends they'd appreciate later on
- 27:46Tim McGraw's Something Like That. Another employee says, working at
- 27:50a pop radio station, that I had a country station
- 27:52in the same building over the intercommon stations would switch
- 27:55out every fifteen minutes. One time I heard something like
- 27:58that come on, and I thought it was the catch
- 28:00and most melodic song ever. The remaining list from the
- 28:04staff of the Taste of Country about falling in love
- 28:06with country music. Kenny Rogers, The Gambler, the Oakridge Boys,
- 28:10I'll be true to you, Keith Urban, You'll think of
- 28:14me and somebody like you can't choose between them, Patsy
- 28:18Kleins Crazy of Course, and Travis Tritt It's a great
- 28:22day to be alive. To one person, this is the
- 28:24best country song ever. Well. This concludes the reading of
- 28:28Country Weekly for this week. If you have any comments
