- 0:14My hair is terrible because I'm going to work out with you and
- 0:17so I didn't wash it as money. And yeah, I just wanted to wait
- 0:22forever to get in here to pretty cool.
- 0:23Thanks everybody watching on the replay.
- 0:25You guys are absolute Heroes. Big love, see you guys.
- 0:27Hey how's it going? Cool.
- 0:32So just this is like a weekly episode.
- 0:35I want to do. Good morning down from barley.
- 0:39Good morning from Bali. Cool, that's awesome.
- 0:44Thank you. So this is a weekly episode.
- 0:47I'm going to do, which is T talks with Dan, so I just
- 0:49basically want to just do an episode where we talk.
- 0:54Just talk about things that happened.
- 0:58Basically, where are we now? So we're on Tuesday and I've
- 1:01been taking medication for 10 days, I think.
- 1:06So anybody who, who have been following my my Vlogs I'm doing,
- 1:13obviously, season to my Vlog, which is amazing, which is of my
- 1:15YouTube channel will know that I've been having a lot of anger
- 1:19management issues. So, I'm on do L'Occitane, which
- 1:23is like a Now a depressant, but it helps loads of things helps
- 1:27take the edge of, like, anxiety and stress and things like that.
- 1:29So hey, how's it going as religious people?
- 1:33That's awesome. So yeah, so I'm feeling pretty
- 1:35good at first. I was feeling really, really
- 1:37sick. Then I got really, really tired.
- 1:39And now I'm feeling. All right.
- 1:40Apart from is give me the bags under my eyes, even though I'm
- 1:42like sleeping eight to nine hours a night, which is crazy.
- 1:44Maybe I'll sleep in too much. Thank you formation.
- 1:47Oh, you're more than welcome. So, yeah, I'm just literally, I
- 1:52have like my goals written down here of like, All the things I
- 1:55want to do in, you know. So I obviously want to get like
- 1:58200,000 subscribers on YouTube this year I think we're on like
- 2:011831 doesn't run 118,000 currently, I think that's a
- 2:07current market and then I just want to kind of like you know
- 2:13make more content to be like somebody who is connecting with
- 2:17their fans more. So I was on so Serie telling 100
- 2:23mg y money on fake. Of gelatin, which is actually
- 2:28working really well. So I'm actually quite happy of
- 2:31how it's working out and it seems to be okay and I seem to
- 2:34be responding. Well, so that is a good thing.
- 2:37Also guys my office is super, super like minimal.
- 2:41Now, I might actually do a video of like, a tour of my office
- 2:43because I got rid of like these fields of shells behind
- 2:47collectibles on it. And then I went through and I am
- 2:48a eBay them all, because one of my obsessions anybody's got
- 2:51like, autism, obviously knows that people have to want
- 2:53obsessions, one of my obsessions was EBay and like wearing like
- 2:55wondering, like how can you like, make a job on eBay and I
- 2:59love that, like, idea of just like flipping stuff.
- 3:01So I just got all my collectibles.
- 3:02And I sold them on eBay and was really cool.
- 3:04Then I bought an iPad Pro, which is this thing who right here,
- 3:10which is pretty crazy. This is the iPad Pro, the 11.9
- 3:15inch or something like that, which is pretty fantastic.
- 3:19Actually, this this has been amazing, just just, just
- 3:22amazing, especially for autism. And it was something that I
- 3:25wanted to do a bit more of, as do bit more of like, autism and
- 3:31autism and iPads kind of videos, which would be pretty sweet.
- 3:36So, let me try and just my iPods, not adjusting, not really
- 3:40good. Where are we?
- 3:45My son is obsessed about about life's an arcade machines, but I
- 3:50do understand the first word. So yeah, iPads are just like the
- 3:56coolest thing ever. And I'm really, really, really
- 4:00happy with with iPads and specially iPad Pro.
- 4:02But, anyway, so yeah, responding.
- 4:05Well to the medication. I did a, I did a keynote talk,
- 4:10in an Autumn employability conference.
- 4:12I was talking about how, like, people can use.
- 4:16Hey, Alex. How's it going?
- 4:17I was talking about how people can use their, you know, autism
- 4:21traits to them like, create a A job out of it.
- 4:24I actually have created a course and online course specifically,
- 4:27on that. So if anyone's interested in
- 4:30that online course, drop me a comment in the comment section
- 4:32below, especially on the if you're watching this on
- 4:33Instagram, on the replay DME and then I'll link you to that
- 4:37course. But in terms of that conference,
- 4:40it was really really good. And I did a panel talk at the
- 4:41end, talking about like how, you know, what needs to change in
- 4:45the world in terms of like autism employability.
- 4:48And then also, the day before I did a briefing of the European
- 4:52Council Hearing on autism. So basically we're talking about
- 4:55is how autism support. It isn't is lacking.
- 4:58All of these videos will be online.
- 5:00I'm going to do, I did a vlog with the European Parliament,
- 5:03one, which will be online. And then also the, the one I
- 5:09did, the Autumn employability conference that talk will be
- 5:11online as well. So, I think, the automobile
- 5:13employability video will be on Saturday and then.
- 5:17Yeah. And then the other one will be
- 5:18on Sunday, or Monday. I can't remember, which day I'm
- 5:21gonna do that. Mom of two teenagers autism one
- 5:27son, one daughter. Now that's really super
- 5:29interesting. Actually girls have a harder
- 5:30time than the males because it was a difficult issue.
- 5:34Trying to find all of the diagnostic criteria to fit the
- 5:38females. My daughter doesn't feel ready
- 5:40for college yet and is causing her so much anxiety.
- 5:43What. Okay, you know, I suppose you
- 5:45know we all have times in our life will become ready for stuff
- 5:48and that is you know different in everybody.
- 5:51So I wouldn't worry about that. That.
- 5:54Oh, here you go. We have a question.
- 5:57Is it normal that I often have multiple meltdowns a week?
- 6:01It's it's normal for people on the autism spectrum to have
- 6:04meltdowns. Of course, why wouldn't it be?
- 6:05You know, Mount that has happened because we are
- 6:09obviously related, we are stressed, we are a depressed, we
- 6:12were anxious, you know, there's a bulge bunch of multiple kind
- 6:15of variables that would, cause not in the Meltdown.
- 6:17So that would definitely happen. And to have multiple ones or
- 6:20week, this is happening, this used to happen, to me, actually
- 6:23Anna. Is why I wanted to actually get
- 6:24some medication to see if I could help overcome those
- 6:28things. And it definitely has started to
- 6:29work, which is funny. One of the things that people
- 6:32been saying, what my Vlogs though is that the medication
- 6:34seems to be making me more hyperactive, which I don't seem
- 6:37to think so I feel like it's chilling me out, but maybe,
- 6:40maybe in. Chill is me being hyperactive?
- 6:42I have no idea. Hey, how's it going there,
- 6:44everybody, who's on the, on the live chat is really awesome.
- 6:47Thank you so much for joining the live chat here.
- 6:51Anybody watching this on the replay?
- 6:52Thank you so much for joining, and yeah, make sure you hit the
- 6:55Subscribe and notification belt on YouTube because YouTube have
- 6:58this hard time of actually telling my fans, when, my, my
- 7:01videos are uploaded. So if you are subscribed to me
- 7:03already, then hit the notification bar, which you're
- 7:05not already subscribed going. Subscribe to my YouTube channel
- 7:07and to the notification bar, which would be pretty pretty
- 7:10awesome. I'm actually going to share a
- 7:11video on my Twitter account. A minute, which is a vlog from
- 7:17Spain. When I went to Spain to do an
- 7:19Asperger's Galaxia talk in in Spain, it was really, really
- 7:23good and it was actually one of my I think it's my most
- 7:26favorable trip ever and it's also my favorite Vlog ever.
- 7:29So I'm going to publish the Vlog out so it was really, really
- 7:32good. Yeah, some good show.
- 7:37So this week I have no talks this week.
- 7:40Thank goodness. I am literally working on videos
- 7:43all week and then I am working on content for my other social
- 7:46media channels. And pretty much that is only
- 7:49doing this week which is really nice to catch up on actual work
- 7:52and stuff. But then I've got more talks
- 7:53going up and doing the autism show a Manchester Birmingham and
- 7:56London and also doing a lot of them show in, from, didn't know,
- 7:59and in Cardiff doing talks, and meet, and greets.
- 8:02And then I'm also doing A talk in the Isle of Wight with Alex
- 8:08W. You guys know how to watch my
- 8:09videos and hey, how's it going Francisco?
- 8:14How's it going? And then yeah we're actually
- 8:16doing what do I'm doing a talk and a show the day before in
- 8:21Isle of Wight, which is cool. And then I'm doing an employment
- 8:24conference with Alex, again in London in March.
- 8:29And I also have primarily some social media events to attend
- 8:33Also, it's all go and it's always all the time.
- 8:37So it's just kind of like one of those things I just thought I'd
- 8:40like, you know, wanted to update you guys on those those things
- 8:43to see if we have any more questions here.
- 8:46This is an interesting question. Is there a cure for autism?
- 8:48Absolutely not. So there was a, there was a time
- 8:50when people didn't understand much about autism.
- 8:53And then there was like a big question, like, can we cure
- 8:56autism? But often can't be cured,
- 8:58because autism actually is a neurological condition.
- 9:01So it's not like, it's not Like a disease.
- 9:04You can like potentially cure diseases or sicknesses But
- 9:07ultimately the sickness, it's a condition.
- 9:09It's a neurological way of how the brain is formed.
- 9:11So that is a no for curing autism, but you can treat it in
- 9:16a way to help with like, you know, symptomatic issues.
- 9:20So you can look treat with therapy and medication.
- 9:22How old are you? I'm 33 years old, as I got
- 9:25diagnosed with autism. When I have a problem sharing my
- 9:27things with other people. Is there any ways to cope with
- 9:29this with sharing? And yeah?
- 9:32What I used to do is have a set of things.
- 9:33So I actually experienced this as well.
- 9:35When I was in college, before I met University, I had pencils
- 9:39and pens, and my pencil case and people just like take them and
- 9:42use them because they were on the same table.
- 9:43And they thought that we were really good friends and they
- 9:45could just do that. And then I was like really
- 9:48freaked by the. So I basically have set of like
- 9:50pens and pencils that I didn't mind people using.
- 9:52So I had to set aside my set and I had set that people could
- 9:54share. So that's one way of doing it.
- 9:56How many people have autism? It's 1 in 100 people in the
- 9:59United Kingdom, and one in 59 in the United States.
- 10:03But You know, that number can vary quite a bit, just such a
- 10:08statistically that the numbers that statistically speaking.
- 10:10So, that's how that, that kind of works.
- 10:12So, Anyway, that was that was really interesting.
- 10:17So moving forward, I want to set up my own events like my own
- 10:21meetups and events where people can come and listen to me talk
- 10:24and have some of our guest speakers who are on the
- 10:25Spectrum, who are also video influencers.
- 10:27And I would love to do one like maybe Chester in Manchester in
- 10:30the United Kingdom. May be that way here this year.
- 10:32So let me know if you guys are interested in attending an event
- 10:36hosted by me and some of the autistic individuals.
- 10:40I would love to know because yeah, we're just going to be.
- 10:45We're going to be demoing different kind of like talks and
- 10:47stuff like that because I love like having like actual physical
- 10:50talks, get to meet people and then we get to like, you know,
- 10:53one-on-one people have like live questions is why I really enjoy
- 10:56my videos. And I just feel like that would
- 10:58be really, really awesome. But in terms of that, I want to
- 11:01make sure that I'm picking the right City.
- 11:04So UK only send me a DM and let me know which city you would
- 11:08like to see me talking. And I also put a poll up on my
- 11:13Instagram story, so that once you finish watching this video,
- 11:15I'm going to come story and check the pole and then like
- 11:18vote for it and I'll do like, you know, booming in Manchester
- 11:20Liverpool London Chester, you know, the big ones really and
- 11:24then see where I would, I would, would there be a meet and greet?
- 11:28Ya hundred percent. So, what I want to do is I'm
- 11:30setting up these talks where you can come and listen to it.
- 11:32Like I do love, like, motivational speaking for people
- 11:35on the Spectrum, which is pretty cool.
- 11:36And I have all the fun doing that.
- 11:38Get people like super like You know, pumped.
- 11:40And then after that, we do the community where people can like,
- 11:44literally just come and hang out and talk to me.
- 11:46And then, you know, we might have some merch for sale,
- 11:49they're like t-shirts and stuff. I got something kind of cool DM
- 11:51on here, or on Twitter. Anyway, you can DM me on
- 11:53Twitter. I here, let me know.
- 11:54There are also for the poll on Twitter, I'm going to pull out
- 11:56on all my social is actually just to see what we're doing.
- 11:59Southampton, if you guys want to see me now from your from
- 12:02Southampton, why don't you go to the Isle of Wight in April?
- 12:04I'm doing a big talk on the ELA in April and doing to of doing a
- 12:10Doing a festival called Spectrum festival and then the day before
- 12:14that doing a evening with like the as we world so you can come
- 12:17down and hang out and do a meet-and-greet there in a
- 12:20theater in the Isle of Wight, which is gonna be really cool.
- 12:23Hello from Aberdeen. I've never been to Aberdeen
- 12:26actually. But yeah, Scotland is quite a
- 12:29ways. It's like, typically like a
- 12:31very, very far away from where I am.
- 12:33So that's why I don't do much a stat that I will never see you
- 12:36because I'm from Barcelona and you never know.
- 12:39I might be doing a talk in battle and I do talks all over
- 12:41the world so don't never say never.
- 12:43I mean not them. That's not something that will
- 12:45actually happen, you know? It might you know, never know I
- 12:48might be doing talk in Barcelona.
- 12:52Anyway guys, this has been a really Cool.
- 12:54T talks with Dan, just want to do?
- 12:56Pretty much just to cut up cell phone and hello from boom, boom
- 13:01on the south London. Hello there.
- 13:04Hello what team do you support? I don't what about steel if I
- 13:10live in North Wales. So right up on the Welsh
- 13:13Coastline which is pretty cool. So got Mighty got my guys, you
- 13:17guys. You know, any my squad?
- 13:19And then yeah, we got some questions coming in here.
- 13:23Watch your favorite sensory tie. My favorite sensory toys.
- 13:25Actually the clicks. It's where did I put it?
- 13:28You did hit someone. Well I put it I've been using
- 13:33upstairs away. My favorite sensitizer clicks
- 13:35which is that clicks Gadget that like moves around and it looks
- 13:41sounds like popping like your pop in.
- 13:44What's it called? Bubble Wrap so kapiti love okay
- 13:49some another, look a question. I think there's another question
- 13:54here. Okay, here's a question.
- 13:56Does it seem like I'm being a hypochondriac for doing
- 14:00extensive? Research on autism and thinking
- 14:02I might have it and getting? No, I don't think that's been
- 14:09hypochondriac tie. Think that, like, you know,
- 14:11people on the autism spectrum, actually, research things quite
- 14:13extensively. You know, I was just things like
- 14:15crazily. One of my biggest obsessions is
- 14:18North Korea to I study a lot of olenick, North Korea stuff, and
- 14:20that's a bit weird, isn't it? But at the end of the day, it's
- 14:22what you The interested in so okay.
- 14:25Here's another question. Do you think that do you think
- 14:29is the traits in kids are very difficult for different from
- 14:31adults. Lovely Channel.
- 14:33Thank you so much for the love and no, I don't think the the
- 14:36traitor different. I think they are the same but I
- 14:39think how they are presented are slightly different, you know.
- 14:42So they're still gonna have issues with the tried impairment
- 14:44like social interaction, you know, certain aspects of kind of
- 14:48like organization and time management and social
- 14:52constructs. And social concept.
- 14:54All of those things are going to be quite, you know, across the
- 14:56board. But in terms of kids, it'll
- 15:00present stuff different kids. So people who stem as apples,
- 15:04may stem, especially people who are like, you know, on the lower
- 15:07support needs side of it, like Asperger's Syndrome, all terms
- 15:10and you're on high functioning autism, not stuff.
- 15:12Even we don't use the terms anymore.
- 15:14I think those people will stem kind of like quite privately,
- 15:18but kids will just kind of stem out, right?
- 15:20That's a good example of its outright my, my beard is
- 15:22tickling. My nose.
- 15:23It's we can we want to sneeze. What's your favorite color?
- 15:25My favorite color is like shocking pink but not actually
- 15:28only thing that shocking pink. He's on a bass guitar laughter,
- 15:30I can pick up. I might buy another one when I
- 15:32earned the money. So okay, let's do another
- 15:37question. So the question you do, good
- 15:41work man. Can you describe a difference in
- 15:44your typical thought and a s thought?
- 15:45So yes, as an Asperger's Syndrome different thought I
- 15:48guess people with neurotypical people who knew typical brains.
- 15:52They kind of understand social constructs and social concept.
- 15:55They kind of just see socializing is something that is
- 15:58easy to do and that thing horrible things, small talk is
- 16:00easy to do, and they do for small talk and then it's fine.
- 16:03But in terms of autistic people, the autistic brain doesn't
- 16:08really grab Raspy idea of that socializing small talk.
- 16:11So small talk will comes a bit different and difficult for
- 16:14someone on the autism spectrum to kind of deal with.
- 16:17So yeah, it's it's a bit of a difficult situation socializing.
- 16:24Okay, this is an interesting question.
- 16:25Why do people get autism when we get autism?
- 16:27People are born with Autism. So, that is basically how the
- 16:34brain it is created. When you're growing.
- 16:38You know, when you're under human your tiny human, you're
- 16:40growing your brain fuses are certain way and that causes
- 16:43autism, not like getting autism, that makes sense.
- 16:48Okay, here's a question advice on keeping my young son safe in
- 16:51public. He has absolutely no sense of
- 16:53danger and he, and so frightening.
- 16:55I did a video all about keeping kids safe on the autism
- 16:59spectrum, 100%, And it's on my YouTube channel, I only pulled
- 17:02it a couple of days ago and so it's a couple days ago, sorry,
- 17:07couple weeks ago maybe two weeks ago so it's about four videos
- 17:09away. So go check it out and and that
- 17:12might actually help you that answer the question better than
- 17:13I could do ad hoc on a live talk like this, okay.
- 17:17Okay, let's take a couple more questions.
- 17:21Is there such thing as being under stimulated?
- 17:23Yes, 100% like me in school. Okay, here we go.
- 17:28I was recently diagnosed with Asperger's at 18 and I have and
- 17:31told my friends, yet, any advice?
- 17:33And I'm just going to do a video on telling friends and family
- 17:36that you have an awesome scratching condition and my
- 17:38advice is just to be honest, open and 100% kind of like
- 17:42backed up. So if you say, hey, I've, you
- 17:45know, I've got this condition or I am autistic, this is
- 17:47information on it and then you can give them information and
- 17:49that information that will help them.
- 17:51Kind of go away and think about it and digest that because
- 17:53that's what people wanted to just want information, really?
- 17:55So that's how that works. Okay guys, will attend the live
- 17:58stream here. Thank you so much for watching.
