- 0:00Speaker 1: What are the top ten investment lessons of this year?
- 0:06Speaker 2: For me?
- 0:09Speaker 3: Defense? One pound of defense will save you ten pounds
- 0:13Speaker 3: of trouble. So I know we all want the gains,
- 0:16Speaker 3: but the gains that we want are baked into defense first.
- 0:20Speaker 3: So please write this down. In the worst case scenario,
- 0:23Speaker 3: if your life was on the line and all your
- 0:25Speaker 3: money went into one investment, whether it was a cryptocurrency,
- 0:27Speaker 3: a person a stock token, derivative, what is the absolute
- 0:32Speaker 3: rock bottom price that you should pay to get in
- 0:34Speaker 3: for it. Number two, your risk to reward ratio, especially
- 0:39Speaker 3: in a recession or depression, matters even more so for me,
- 0:43Speaker 3: even with people that I hire employee work with the
- 0:47Speaker 3: minimum that I'm looking to receive in twenty twenty three
- 0:50Speaker 3: going forward, it's eleven x. Secondly, is fifty x. Number three.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Regardless of what you're investing in, you have to look
- 1:01Speaker 3: at the top four and that space and don't deviate.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I know we want incredible gains to the upside, and
- 1:09Speaker 3: sometimes we want to gamble into space, but when the
- 1:12Speaker 3: drawdown hits us and some companies are like down eighty five,
- 1:16Speaker 3: it's not fun to go through. Number four. Please write
- 1:20Speaker 3: this down. Please stick with your process, no matter what
- 1:23Speaker 3: anyone on Earth tells you. I remember when I was
- 1:27Speaker 3: telling everyone twenty thousand was coming in bitcoin and what
- 1:30Speaker 3: seemed like these crazy prices and ethereum, and what if
- 1:35Speaker 3: Michael Saylor's fund potentially went under. I don't want Mike's
- 1:39Speaker 3: fun to go under, but it's at a level where
- 1:43Speaker 3: I'm worried about margin could be called pretty soon if
- 1:47Speaker 3: we have one more event, that's pretty bad for him.
- 1:53Speaker 3: And the thing going back to making eleven for every
- 1:57Speaker 3: dollar you put in, or making fifty twenty three to
- 2:00Speaker 3: twenty twenty six. If you get eleven 's, those returns
- 2:04Speaker 3: may have to stretch out for you over a three
- 2:06Speaker 3: or four year period. So I don't think we may
- 2:09Speaker 3: be looking at for a year over year returns. If
- 2:11Speaker 3: you're not a seasoned investor, you may have to look
- 2:14Speaker 3: to get gains over a two year period that will
- 2:17Speaker 3: last you for or one year the last year over three.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Number four. Always keep the investor in front of anything else,
- 2:25Speaker 3: and hunt for an edge in a market every day.
- 2:28Speaker 3: So in my walks on Wall Street in the New
- 2:31Speaker 3: York stocking shames, Peter, thank you, Frankie, thank you everyone.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I sit to theere, thank you. The one thing that
- 2:36Speaker 3: I see amongst the traders that are really good, and
- 2:37Speaker 3: there's a couple that I want to highlight. In twenty
- 2:39Speaker 3: twenty three, I met a gentleman who when he initially
- 2:43Speaker 3: went to a hedge fund only had three clients. He
- 2:45Speaker 3: now has thirty bulk of business at almost three hundred million.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I asks him what is he doing? And I'm seeing
- 2:50Speaker 3: them every time that I'm there. He's literally hunting for
- 2:53Speaker 3: deals for everyone and finding one way to get better
- 2:56Speaker 3: in the market every day, whether it's fundamentals, whether it's
- 2:59Speaker 3: technical analysis, whether it's understanding arbitrage and how to bring
- 3:03Speaker 3: deals together. So hunt for one edge in the market
- 3:07Speaker 3: every single day. Never give up on your macro research,
- 3:13Speaker 3: even when in the face of all the noise on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube,
- 3:17Speaker 3: et cetera, that it's telling you to deviate. Because anyone
- 3:21Speaker 3: who's been a season investment in more than four years
- 3:24Speaker 3: felt in twenty twenty one and end of top of
- 3:28Speaker 3: twenty twenty two that we were going to come down,
- 3:30Speaker 3: and it may take a while for those things to
- 3:32Speaker 3: come true, but here we are now and those that
- 3:35Speaker 3: play defense are in an amazing position to capitalize for
- 3:39Speaker 3: the next year, and I'll go to number seven. Then Troy,
- 3:43Speaker 3: I'll come to you, and they were shot, and I'll
- 3:44Speaker 3: circle around my last three. But it is mandatory that
- 3:47Speaker 3: you know how to trade, swing, trade, and invest, because
- 3:51Speaker 3: if you can't generate capital while you're going down, I
- 3:56Speaker 3: don't know how you continue to invest in the market.
- 4:00Speaker 3: A lot of my biases from the market comes from
- 4:02Speaker 3: me being able to trade the features market and be
- 4:04Speaker 3: a being able to generate the alpha on demand. But
- 4:09Speaker 3: trading also helps you allow to see when a market
- 4:12Speaker 3: is going to turn over faster. So like if you
- 4:14Speaker 3: only long term investment, never practice trading, your entries won't
- 4:18Speaker 3: be as sharp, like you're cutting with the acts opposed
- 4:21Speaker 3: to a scalpel. And even though you may be taking
- 4:24Speaker 3: losses in your trades, it will help your long term
- 4:27Speaker 3: entries a hell of a lot better. And also being
- 4:29Speaker 3: a long term investor helps you to see the trend
- 4:32Speaker 3: of your trades a lot cleaner. This is why you
- 4:34Speaker 3: need both. And if you can trend trade, day trade
- 4:37Speaker 3: and long term invest you have a formula that will
- 4:40Speaker 3: work for an eternity. So but Betray, I wanted to
- 4:43Speaker 3: come to you.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I think where you left off is probably where
- 4:46Speaker 2: I was gonna start, because you kind of nailed a
- 4:48Speaker 2: lot of the points. But I was going to say
- 4:50Speaker 2: that that point of yeah, long term investing, and that's
- 4:53Speaker 2: what we do, it's what we preach. But I would
- 4:56Speaker 2: say in twenty twenty two is one of those times
- 4:57Speaker 2: where it was like, all right, you're gonna have to
- 5:00Speaker 2: us you're playing a little bit adjust the person, all right,
- 5:02Speaker 2: and so like you're gonna have you may have to
- 5:04Speaker 2: make some trades. And so it wasn't even though it
- 5:05Speaker 2: wasn't a lot, it was still an adjustment because I
- 5:07Speaker 2: was so long term, long term, and when you're seeing
- 5:10Speaker 2: your portfolio turn red a little bit and you're like, wait,
- 5:15Speaker 2: there's still ways to make money in this in this environment.
- 5:18Speaker 2: And so it was like, all right, I've got to
- 5:20Speaker 2: learn how to you know, not even learn, but I
- 5:22Speaker 2: have to actually execute on now trading and the second
- 5:25Speaker 2: part of it, So that was the first part. The
- 5:27Speaker 2: second part was not falling in love with sectors. Yes,
- 5:31Speaker 2: so everybody knows how much we love technology, and everybody
- 5:34Speaker 2: knows how much we love consumer discretionary, but it was like,
- 5:38Speaker 2: there's money and to be made in these other sectors, right,
- 5:41Speaker 2: Like we always say if there's a recession somewhere, or
- 5:44Speaker 2: if there's a bull market somewhere, or there's a bear
- 5:46Speaker 2: market in another place, and vice versa. And so it
- 5:48Speaker 2: was like, all right, well, let's really lock in in
- 5:51Speaker 2: some of these other sectors. Let's look at the top
- 5:53Speaker 2: two or three and maybe one emerging. Like I know
- 5:56Speaker 2: we say that a lot, let's look at the top
- 5:57Speaker 2: two or three, but I would like that was one
- 5:59Speaker 2: of the things I implement. It was like, let me
- 6:01Speaker 2: find one emerging. Let me see what's one that's emerging
- 6:04Speaker 2: in some of these sectors.
- 6:05Speaker 4: And so it made me.
- 6:06Speaker 2: A better like analyst. Right now I can see the game.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I'm looking at the whole field, whereas I used to
- 6:12Speaker 2: just look at a few pieces of the field, Like
- 6:14Speaker 2: all right, technology good, consumer discretionary good, consumer stables pretty good,
- 6:18Speaker 2: healthcare is good. Oh but what about over here? This
- 6:24Speaker 2: episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.
- 6:27Speaker 2: A lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 6:30Speaker 2: and sure they definitely can be, But understanding a professionals
- 6:34Speaker 2: routine shows us how they achieve their success little by little,
- 6:37Speaker 2: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank.

- 6:44Speaker 2: decisions with your bank, but keeping your money boring is

- 8:14Speaker 5: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 8:18Speaker 5: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 8:22Speaker 5: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 8:26Speaker 5: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 8:30Speaker 5: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 8:34Speaker 5: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 8:38Speaker 5: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 8:42Speaker 5: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 8:46Speaker 5: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 8:49Speaker 5: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 8:53Speaker 5: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 8:57Speaker 5: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 9:01Speaker 5: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return
- 9:04Speaker 5: legally do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 9:10Speaker 5: border and families will.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Be protected sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
- 9:15Speaker 4: the utilities what about that, you know what I'm saying,
- 9:18Speaker 4: And so having a wider range looking at those top
- 9:21Speaker 4: two but trying to find one that you know, this
- 9:23Speaker 4: looks like it has some potential.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I think that was one of those things too, that
- 9:27Speaker 2: over the course of the past twelve months I've had
- 9:29Speaker 2: to implement in my game plan.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I love it, shout what about you? You have two more?
- 9:34Speaker 3: You want to throw it.
- 9:36Speaker 1: As far as lessons learned this year, yes, so I
- 9:41Speaker 1: think that the lessons learned this year is never react
- 9:45Speaker 1: off of FOMO. That's extremely important lesson, and even switching
- 9:49Speaker 1: gears to the real estate market. I think that that's
- 9:51Speaker 1: something that people learned, you know, in the springtime when
- 9:57Speaker 1: people were paying twenty thousand over asking in fifty thousand
- 10:01Speaker 1: and in Miami one hundred thousand dollars over asking, and
- 10:05Speaker 1: then the market corrected itself, and now it's like, all right,
- 10:10Speaker 1: if you paid fifty thousand dollars over asking because you
- 10:13Speaker 1: thought that the market is gonna keep going up, that's
- 10:17Speaker 1: what that's the definition of fomo right missing out. So
- 10:21Speaker 1: it's like, all right, this house is only worth five
- 10:23Speaker 1: hundred thousand, but they're not going to sell it to
- 10:28Speaker 1: me unless I give them five hundred and fifty thousand.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So I would rather pay five hundred and fifty thousand
- 10:34Speaker 1: because I think in two months it's gonna be worth
- 10:37Speaker 1: six hundred thousand. Well, that's not really the best way
- 10:40Speaker 1: to go about it. You buy investments low and you
- 10:47Speaker 1: sell high. This is the easiest thing. This is rule
- 10:51Speaker 1: number one. It's like in boxing. The number one rule
- 10:54Speaker 1: in boxing is protect yourself at all times. The number
- 10:57Speaker 1: one rule in investing is buy low, sell high. This
- 11:00Speaker 1: is extremely This is probably the most difficult thing to master.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Like you could have fundamentals, you can have all of
- 11:06Speaker 1: this stuff. If you don't have emotional intelligence, you're not
- 11:12Speaker 1: going to be able to be a good investor. You
- 11:15Speaker 1: have to be able to wait. You have Patience is
- 11:19Speaker 1: probably the biggest virtue that you have in life when
- 11:26Speaker 1: everyone like you have to be a special person to
- 11:30Speaker 1: just say no, not right now, I'm gonna wait because
- 11:36Speaker 1: human nature is that you're gonna feel like an idiot
- 11:39Speaker 1: because you're waiting and everybody's making money and you're not
- 11:43Speaker 1: gonna be able to live anywhere, and it's like just
- 11:46Speaker 1: chill out. Everything comes down. Everything comes down. Crypto comes down,
- 11:52Speaker 1: stocks come down, real estate comes down, NFTs come down,
- 11:59Speaker 1: Watch value come down. Everything comes down. You have to
- 12:05Speaker 1: be patient enough to wait, and then when it comes down,
- 12:10Speaker 1: you have to have enough courage to act, because that's
- 12:13Speaker 1: the second part of the situation. The second part of
- 12:15Speaker 1: the situation is that when it actually does go down,
- 12:18Speaker 1: human nature nobody wants to buy at the bottom because
- 12:22Speaker 1: something that is fifty percent off and you're thinking it's
- 12:25Speaker 1: going to zero. You see, you buy a bitcoin at
- 12:28Speaker 1: fifty thousand, but then when it gets to fifteen thousand,
- 12:33Speaker 1: you're thinking, this thing is going to two thousand. I'm
- 12:38Speaker 1: not going to lose all my money. So you have
- 12:40Speaker 1: to have enough courage to buy discounted investments and have
- 12:47Speaker 1: enough fortitude to stay in it for the long haul.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So this was a good year because when we first
- 12:53Speaker 1: started market Mondays during the pandemic, everything was going up.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Everybody's making money, everybody's trading options. Anything that you put
- 13:00Speaker 1: money and is going up, right, But now it's like, Okay,
- 13:04Speaker 1: who's going to survive the tough times. Who's going to
- 13:08Speaker 1: have enough education and enough perseverance to patiently wait it out?
- 13:15Speaker 1: And on the other side of the coin now in
- 13:18Speaker 1: ten years, fifteen years now, this is the long game, right,
- 13:21Speaker 1: So this is what we're in right now, and it's
- 13:26Speaker 1: extremely important to go through these adversities because it makes
- 13:31Speaker 1: you stronger, but it also makes you more intelligent. Very important.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Yeah, which brings me to my final three lessons. Number One,
- 13:39Speaker 3: the most important thing that you have to look at
- 13:41Speaker 3: is the macro economic environment that we're in. I've given
- 13:45Speaker 3: the indicator before, but there is an indicator that predicts
- 13:48Speaker 3: sessions ahead of time. And when you pair that with
- 13:51Speaker 3: quantitative easing, which is when it Federal Reserve prints money.
- 13:54Speaker 3: So when the quantitative easing stops, when you tie that
- 13:56Speaker 3: in with the indicator that tells you when market is
- 14:00Speaker 3: going to slow down the most important lesson, but you've
- 14:04Speaker 3: seen me struggle with and thank you for Peter for
- 14:07Speaker 3: telling me this. And then two people who run Ahead
- 14:10Speaker 3: Fund that I talked to in exchange this past week,
- 14:14Speaker 3: they said, to stop being offended when people do not
- 14:16Speaker 3: want to hear your advice. Your job is to make
- 14:19Speaker 3: sure you your family and your friends get rich from
- 14:23Speaker 3: what you know, And man, I tell you that was
- 14:28Speaker 3: fucking freeing. It's like I know you want to save everybody.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I know you do, but your job is to make
- 14:35Speaker 3: you sure that you first your friends and those with you,
- 14:40Speaker 3: and Red Panda get rich and whoever else. Listeners leave
- 14:43Speaker 3: it at that, and this person is close to a
- 14:46Speaker 3: billion dollars from trading. Sometimes our emotions can be so
- 14:52Speaker 3: big that we want to help people who are not
- 14:54Speaker 3: ready to be helped or who have not put in
- 14:57Speaker 3: the work to be besides you, to get that help
- 15:00Speaker 3: for all of you that watch Crypto nine to one
- 15:02Speaker 3: stock Shorty, like for all of those of you Aaron
- 15:07Speaker 3: p Don macdrew whose hearts are big, I have to
- 15:11Speaker 3: allow you to also be free and make sure the
- 15:13Speaker 3: number one rule is that you take care of yourself.
- 15:19Speaker 1: My graduates from my school being force back drop bag Drop,
- 15:25Speaker 1: Mike drop back.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Drop, an illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a
- 15:41Speaker 5: child in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al
- 15:44Speaker 5: Salvador accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged
- 15:49Speaker 5: with filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are
- 15:53Speaker 5: just some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of
- 15:57Speaker 5: President Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christine Home, the United
- 16:00Speaker 5: States Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal
- 16:05Speaker 5: border crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and
- 16:09Speaker 5: over one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If
- 16:12Speaker 5: you are here illegally, your next you will be fine
- 16:16Speaker 5: nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you
- 16:20Speaker 5: will never return. But if you register using our CBP
- 16:24Speaker 5: home app and leave now, you could be allowed to
- 16:27Speaker 5: return legally. Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump,
- 16:32Speaker 5: America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
