- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:29coop. So today I would like to talk to
- 0:32you about your path, that internal path that we all have.
- 0:37Some of us believe we don't have an internal path.
- 0:40We think we're just out there essentially roaming around
- 0:43bumping and bumbling, but that's not exactly true.
- 0:46We have an internal path that we actually follow.
- 0:51That's part of us and we definitely have it.
- 0:54Some of us guilt confused by the fact that we have it.
- 0:58Some of us don't know necessarily where it is.
- 1:00We'll go off the path, so to speak.
- 1:03And we think, oh gosh, I'm never going to get back on my path.
- 1:07But I personally don't believe that's true.
- 1:10All the spiritual work I've done, all the studying and, you
- 1:13know, different teachers that I've learned from, I personally
- 1:17believe that our path is within us.
- 1:20When we arrive here, we have a mission, if you will.
- 1:23We have an end game, a goal of what we're going to be doing or
- 1:29an idea of it, and our job is to redefine that message in
- 1:35ourselves as we go along and see it, remember it if you will.
- 1:39And we do that through our emotions, which guide us along
- 1:43the way. When things don't feel right, we
- 1:45get messages. We are excellent at ignoring
- 1:47said messages, but we still get the messages.
- 1:50And those messages help us move through things and help us move
- 1:54closer to the end game that we want to have.
- 1:57But we have to listen and we have to be attuned to it and
- 2:01attuned to ourselves. But I personally believe, and
- 2:04some of you may not agree with this, and that's OK, because
- 2:07this podcast is all about possibilities and giving you
- 2:09different ideas. But I I do.
- 2:12I personally believe that we all have this defined piece of
- 2:17ourselves that we are supposed to connect to, resonate with,
- 2:21and bring forward. And when we get off the path and
- 2:25if we veer off of our path, things start to go awry.
- 2:28And the more we stick to the path, the more things seem to
- 2:31stay in flow. And we get the messages from our
- 2:34emotions, we get the messages from the the results that are
- 2:39surrounding us in our life, and things just get exponentially
- 2:43better the more we pay attention to it.
- 2:45So the question you really have to ask yourself is how far do
- 2:49you have to go off the path before you realize you're off
- 2:53the path? And are you listening to those
- 2:55little whispers that show up when you go off the path so that
- 2:58you can course correct quickly and actually get back on the
- 3:02path? And really asking yourself, you
- 3:05know, what are the, what's the truth about the path that I
- 3:08want? Because what's interesting is a
- 3:10lot of times some of us will be very, very clear and we know it
- 3:15from when we're a child and then someone else says something and
- 3:20boom, we we are moved. So I'm going to give you an
- 3:23example. Heard me speak of my dad before
- 3:26when I taught on the podcast and my dad was clearly my best
- 3:29friend in life and I lost him when I was 25 and he was 57.
- 3:35And when I was young, probably 9 or 10 years old, I said to my
- 3:40dad, I want to be a school teacher.
- 3:43And my dad said, oh, you can't be a school teacher.
- 3:46There's no money in that. And I was like, oh, but I really
- 3:49want to be a school teacher. And he's like, no, you don't
- 3:52want to do that. I'm telling you, there's no
- 3:54money in that. You have to find something that
- 3:56you can take care of yourself. And he really was on a mission
- 4:00to empower me as a young woman to take care of myself and not
- 4:04need anybody to take care of me. And I appreciated that from him.
- 4:08And he definitely instilled those things in me.
- 4:11But I really wanted to be a teacher.
- 4:13And so I pulled myself back. And I said, OK, well, I'm not
- 4:16going to be a teacher. So, you know, time goes on.
- 4:19And I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do.
- 4:21Fast forward a couple years and I say, well, maybe I'm going to
- 4:24be a writer. And he says, oh, no, no, no, you
- 4:27don't want to be a writer. There's no money in that.
- 4:29OK. So I'm like thinking to myself,
- 4:31well, what else? And I'm super creative because
- 4:34my grandmother instilled that in me.
- 4:35I mean, I've always been creative.
- 4:37My grandmother really nurtured that piece.
- 4:39So here I am. OK, well, I'm going to go into
- 4:42being an artist in graphics. And this is at the time when,
- 4:46you know, computer graphics are starting to come out.
- 4:49So I'm like, OK, I'm, this is what I'm going to do.
- 4:50I'm so excited about it. I go to my dad and I tell him
- 4:53this is what I want to do and I want to have an ad agency.
- 4:56And he says that's excellent. That's exactly, you know, that's
- 4:59great. You can make great money in
- 5:01that. So I was like, OK, so I'm doing
- 5:03it. And it did.
- 5:05It worked out right. I had, I built my business and I
- 5:08had a great time until I felt like I had golden handcuffs and
- 5:12I was making money. But I was miserable every day
- 5:15and being doing artwork for other people and people
- 5:20constantly correcting my artwork didn't feel good.
- 5:24And I was too close to the art. Like, you know, I would do
- 5:28something and I would be proud of it, but then someone would
- 5:30come in and they would correct it.
- 5:31This just did not feel good. If I'm blatantly honest it
- 5:34didn't feel good. So and I'm getting you know I've
- 5:38got a photography studio as well and I'm I'm taking pictures,
- 5:41commercial pictures for products and whatnot and and it's not
- 5:45filling my soul out. It's not making me happy.
- 5:49And I had you know this moment that if you will to come to
- 5:52Jesus moment where I was like OK what am I doing?
- 5:55Well, after my dad passed away and I am in this I start to
- 6:00realize this is how I get into self development.
- 6:02I I put myself on this path of self discovery and I realized I
- 6:07was way off the path because there was part of me that still
- 6:10wanted to be a teacher, that still wanted to write books,
- 6:13that that was a mission in myself and I could not escape
- 6:17that mission. So it was still there.
- 6:20Well now look at what I'm doing. What am I doing?
- 6:23Right now, I'm teaching and I'm writing books and I have created
- 6:27what I would call the magical life because I went back to the
- 6:31path. I went back to the things that
- 6:34were in my soul, if you will, and here's the thing.
- 6:38My father wasn't wrong because he loved me.
- 6:41He was trying to correct me. I don't fault him for that.
- 6:43And all those gifts that I learned along the way are great.
- 6:46And I still have all those skills.
- 6:48I can create my graphics for all the stuff that I do.
- 6:50I can market myself. I can do anything that I want,
- 6:54but I always had to come back to the path and I think that's the
- 6:57the part of this that we have to check in with ourselves on and
- 7:02say, am I on my path or am I on the path that someone else
- 7:05created for me? And if I am off, what do I need
- 7:08to do to start to come back to my path?
- 7:11And I'm not saying you have to bang a hard left and all of a
- 7:14sudden just drop the world and go on to this other thing and
- 7:17maybe you want to, and that's your choice.
- 7:19But for most of us, we can make these corrections and come back
- 7:24and feel like we're gaining that momentum, gaining that charge in
- 7:28our soul again, that puts us on the right path and makes us feel
- 7:32good. So I'm going to challenge you
- 7:34today to go back and think about those moments and ask yourself,
- 7:38you know, am I, am I really on the path of what I want?
- 7:42Or am I doing these things because this is what somebody
- 7:45else put on me or redirected me or told me?
- 7:48And think about the story that I just told you and see how that
- 7:52you know can pertain in your life as well.
- 7:55And hopefully it will help you pick up some of the whispers and
- 7:57get you back to a place where, or at least aligned with a place
- 8:01where you can be in that process.
- 8:04I will see you tomorrow my friends, and I hope you have a
- 8:07fabulous day. Bye.
