- 0:04Speaker 1: And welcome back to creep Cast. How you doing. How
- 0:19you doing, Isaiah? How are you today?
- 0:21Speaker 2: I'm doing very good. I feel honored that you did
- 0:23the popa Meat. How you're doing things? I kind of
- 0:25miss that, I know, fu no, no, no, I kind
- 0:27of I like it because when I watch Papa Meat,
- 0:29I'm like, oh, he doesn't do that for me, but
- 0:31not for special I don't.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I don't want to mix the mix the waves too much.
- 0:35I get in a record mode and I just I
- 0:38started just saying all the random stuff I say verbatim.
- 0:42Speaker 2: So that's cute. That's cute. You have little catchphrases and stuff.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I think people just just get such a take out
- 0:48of it.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah, of course that's a word for it. Yeah. So
- 0:50hello everybody, Thank you so much for coming here. Thank
- 0:53you so much for stopping by the show. It means
- 0:55the most. Thank you all so much for the support
- 0:58that you showed on Creep TV. Was it brave of
- 1:01us to take our already successful podcast and push it
- 1:05in a direction we knew would be successful? It was,
- 1:07actually so.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I think it's incredibly brave.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it was very brave of us, and we're actually veterans.
- 1:14If you think about it like the same level of
- 1:16commitment and bravery at least as you told me before
- 1:19we started recording. So I'm glad that people recognize that
- 1:23our braveness.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Hey everybody, I hey, everybody. We won't let you know
- 1:27that we have merch. Now we have.
- 1:29Speaker 2: An awesome shirt.
- 1:30Speaker 3: This is what it looks like, but on the back
- 1:34it has the spider that goes down to your ex crack.
- 1:37It's very good and I could confirm that you'll make
- 1:40tons of friends when you buy this shirt.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And not only do we have the shirts, we have
- 1:44something else. Take it away, Isaiah.
- 1:49Speaker 2: In addition to the T shirt, you can also get
- 1:52this really cool hat. Not only does it have a
- 1:54raised font that says creep cast and these cool spiderwebs,
- 1:58but it also has like ripping across the bill and
- 2:01the hat itself to make it look like this old, weathered,
- 2:05tattered thing. And it even has the cool spider there
- 2:08so it matches your shirt if you want to wear
- 2:10them together. But most importantly, by getting the hat, you'll
- 2:13be supporting small independent creators like myself and definitely not Hunter.
- 2:18Speaker 1: So be sure to click the link in the description
- 2:20or in the comment section or wherever we pasted it,

- 2:52so you have until then stop asking us to make March.
- 2:54We've we've done it finally, all right back to the
- 2:56episode that further ado, Let's get in today's episode, which
- 3:02we are talking about. My wife has been peeking at
- 3:05me from around corners and behind furniture. It's gone from
- 3:08weird to terrifying. People have requested this before, and I
- 3:14wouldn't I want to say right now one of my
- 3:16favorite titles of a story we've we're getting ready to
- 3:19cover so far. Love the title. The title is pretty cool.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I'll admit I'm a little skeptical, mainly because the audience
- 3:25suggested this one and their track record has been questionable,
- 3:30been burned. We have been burned a lot, and you
- 3:32know what, for the record, I enjoyed Tommy Taffy, but
- 3:36that was your all's fault. Any problems you have with it,
- 3:38look in the mirror. That's who did it. But like,
- 3:42there's a lot of creepypasta, especially like Our Slash and
- 3:45No Sleep that have a title that's a question like that.
- 3:50We've covered a few, right. My dead girlfriend keeps messaging
- 3:52me on Facebook. The thing in the basement's getting better
- 3:55at mimicking people stuff like that, right, and it can
- 3:58be hit or miss. Now, I I'm with you. I
- 4:00think the title's great. I think it's a good hook.
- 4:02I am very excited for the potential, but the fact
- 4:05the audience suggested it makes me nauseous. But we'll see
- 4:10if they're worthy of being called our fans.
- 4:13Speaker 1: It's true. Well, and I shared some of that rage
- 4:15with you as well. I punched four holes in my
- 4:17wall just because I read the comments once. So there's
- 4:20a plethora of walls looks like a looks like a
- 4:23goddamn beehive in my room right now with the amount
- 4:26of holes and caverns that are. But I'm excited. I also,
- 4:30as we've said before, I really enjoy whenever the names
- 4:34of the stories also really heavily play into the social
- 4:37media post aspect to it.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, I do. I do think that's frequent because,
- 4:41like we've talked about before, the whole premise of our
- 4:43slash No Sleep is it has to be conducted in
- 4:46a way that makes sense for it to wined up
- 4:48on No Sleep, right. Yeah, So like some of them
- 4:52kind of try to hide it, like like they'll kind
- 4:55of fit it in at the end, like the Left
- 4:56Right game for example, the very end it's like I'm
- 4:59sending this as my final message, you know, something like that.
- 5:03Or the guy the framing device her friends who posted
- 5:06it online is the one who received the email. And
- 5:09there's others like this or my dead girlfriend that just
- 5:13full bore starts with like, hey guys, I know this
- 5:17is a subreddit. I'm going through this and you can
- 5:19do cool stuff with it when you kind of embrace
- 5:21the format. So again, we'll see how it goes.
- 5:23Speaker 1: The immersion is beautiful. Well, I say without for the dude.
- 5:26This is also by Malia Girl one three one four.
- 5:29So I say, let's just dive in.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Let's go ahead and dive in. There is one thing
- 5:33I want to get off my chest before we start, though,
- 5:35that mostly I feel like you'd appreciate. I was in
- 5:38the city, uh this weekend, and some girl runs up
- 5:41to me and she was like, oh my gosh, are
- 5:44you that guy from creep Cast. Not wind to Go,
- 5:47It's nice, not Isaiah, that guy from creep Cast. That guy,
- 5:52that guy.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You're the guy who does the Jeff Globebum impression, right,
- 5:55and dude, yes, yes.
- 5:56Speaker 2: If she said that, I would have been thrilled.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I've been like, that would have been fucked up that
- 6:00I would have actually quit the point. I would have
- 6:01been like, I'm done, I'm actually done.
- 6:02Speaker 2: I would have been like, that's right, that's me. No,
- 6:08she wouldn't know that because the editor keeps cutting it.
- 6:10At the Creep TV was the most the most the
- 6:13Jeff Goldbloom impression got out because Caitlyn wasn't allowed to
- 6:16touch it.
- 6:17Speaker 1: She enjoy it, Why you could because it's the last time,
- 6:23all right, let's get into it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Here we go. My wife has been peeking at me
- 6:26from around corners and behind furniture. It's gone from weird
- 6:29to terrifying.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Terrifying.
- 6:32Speaker 2: My wife, Lynn and I have been together for six
- 6:34years and married for eleven months. Our entire history together
- 6:38has been very normal, and never once have I noticed
- 6:41any weird behaviors or red flax. I can't stress enough
- 6:44how out of character this whole thing is for her. Okay,
- 6:47hold on, I'm I'm already surprised. I will Okay, from
- 6:52the title, I fully expected the beginning to be like, oh,
- 6:55my wife's dead, right, and now her ghost is Oh really?
- 6:59Speaker 1: I was thinking, and I was thinking this was gonna
- 7:01be the trajectory of like, I, oh man, we've been
- 7:06just so for some reason at this time, she's just
- 7:09like a switch has happened, and then we get to
- 7:12dive into that. I'm surprised. So you thought that. Did
- 7:14you think this was gonna be a ghost story?
- 7:15Speaker 2: I thought it was gonna be like a ghost story
- 7:16or something, yeah, or maybe like maybe not ghost necessarily,
- 7:20like skin walker kind of thing, like you know, she
- 7:23comes from the house.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm expecting it's like the the switches, She's like, oh whatever,
- 7:28And then it's maybe something where I don't know if
- 7:30she has been murdered and someone has replaced her, like
- 7:33like she is in a physical state still maybe.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's kind of like my bias. For the way the
- 7:38title was formatted, I talked about her, I was kind
- 7:41of expecting my dead girlfriend keeps messaging me kind.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Of does have you know, You're right, it does have
- 7:46that kind of ring to it.
- 7:48Speaker 2: But I but I emphasized that to say already, I'm like, oh, okay,
- 7:53let's let's see what you have. Okay.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Ah boy, oh boy. When I sit baking under these
- 7:58lights recording this creepy little podcast for you, I smell
- 8:01like and I think I bet my listeners smell like
- 8:04two each and everything in line of you. Which is
- 8:06why I have a couple of fragrances that I'm stoked
- 8:08to talk to you about today. Starting off with dirty Hanoki,
- 8:11my heretic. The sin of the Hanocchi, cypress and cedar
- 8:13are known to allevia anxiety, and I thought it would
- 8:16give a good overall coming effect to anyone.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I spray it on.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Another fragrance I wanted to try was a more Kafa
- 8:22by Mantiar Pari. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but
- 8:24the smell of coffee always gets my tiglan and the
- 8:27sin has notes of espresso, vanella, cream and brown sugar,
- 8:31making it the ultimate sweet treat yum. Next up is
- 8:34vanilla and bourbon by Sense of Wood. Spraying this in
- 8:37the air is like being dipped into a big old
- 8:39bowl of vanilla asscreen Underly, the covers are hints of
- 8:42cardamom oil and cinnamon bar. Last of the bunch is
- 8:45Antihero by Kua Tricks. Now that's cool. This fragrance might
- 8:49be my favorite one. It smells like stumbling out in
- 8:52an alley of a speakeasy in the best kind of way.
- 8:55It has notes of rum, pray, lean, apple and saffron,
- 8:58and all of these sense guess what they're from? Sipbird
- 9:02for less than seventy dollars a month, you can try
- 9:04different brands. Did you fight that week? What you nag?
- 9:07And all the vials come with a thirty day supply
- 9:11and Sindberd carries a wide range of brands including Prada, Shatcha,
- 9:15and Roha. Avoid the disappointment and stop wasting money on bottles.

- 9:21simberd use our code creep or click the link below
- 9:24to get fifty five percent off your Colognes and fragrance
- 9:27is at sptbird. That's code creep the check out to
- 9:29get fifty five percent off your first month. Thank you
- 9:32so much Simper for sponsoring this episode, and hey, back
- 9:35to the episode, you smelly fuck.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Lynna's very kind, intelligent, and thoughtful. She's always been the
- 9:42no nonsense type of person. Being childish or trying to
- 9:45scare me is not something she'd normally do. She doesn't
- 9:49even like watching horror movies. The lame gosh you married
- 9:52this girl?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I know the far are you thinking?
- 9:55Speaker 2: Man? Loser?
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, She's kind and thoughtful, can be too kind or thoughtful?
- 10:00Speaker 2: Roll back out that girl from pen pal who? I
- 10:03was like, wait into who? Then I realized she was
- 10:08a teenager and I backed off. You know whatever her
- 10:11name was. That would have been a better option. When
- 10:14we first started dating, she agreed to watch The Shining
- 10:16with me because she knew how much I loved horror.
- 10:19She was so scared that she didn't even make it
- 10:21through half of the movie before we had to turn
- 10:23it off. Okay, I'll stop, I'll stop breaking every paragraph,
- 10:27but the shining halfway what happens halfway through the shining
- 10:32that you would turn it.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Off Jack Nicholson's hairline, that.
- 10:35Speaker 2: You know what? Actually, that's fair, all right, continuing, She
- 10:38isn't into anything creepy and has never been into pranks.
- 10:42It's just not her cup of tea. And that's fine.
- 10:45But that's what was so strange about this. It's just
- 10:49so unlike her. I should also add that she never
- 10:52had any mental health issues, and as far as I'm aware,
- 10:55it doesn't run in her family. I know some people
- 10:58are able to hide their mental health problems, but in
- 11:01the six years we've been together, I think I had
- 11:03seen some sort of sign.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I love these build ups with these stories too, where
- 11:08it's just like he the author has not said anything
- 11:11specifically by what has happened, but it's been so many
- 11:13things like well, she never used to scare me. I
- 11:16also want to say that she has never been mentally
- 11:18deranged at all. So it's just like slowly building these
- 11:22pieces without ever actually being like, this is what she's doing.
- 11:25Speaker 2: It feels like a guy actually coming to the board
- 11:27for help, you know, so if you like, pretend like
- 11:30it's not our slash no sleep, it's like, yeah, this
- 11:33is formatted like a guy who's like, something's up with
- 11:36my wife? Does anyone have any advice with this? You know,
- 11:38something like that? Like I said, it embraces the format
- 11:41right right. Two months ago, I was in the kitchen
- 11:44making myself some coffee before work. I was ready a
- 11:47bit late that morning and knew I wouldn't be able
- 11:49to make it to Dunkin Donuts for my usual morning fix.
- 11:53I took a sip of my coffee as I hurried
- 11:54down the hall towards the front door, when I happened
- 11:57to notice Lynn peeking at me from around the corner
- 11:59ahead of me. I could only see her eyes and
- 12:02a strand of her long, dark hair hanging against the wall.
- 12:06The rest of her body was concealed behind the corner.
- 12:09I nearly spilled my coffee when I saw her. I
- 12:12did burn the shit out of my lips. Jeez, Lynn,
- 12:16I said, wiping a few drops of coffee from my pants.
- 12:19Speaker 1: You scared the shit out of me.
- 12:21Speaker 2: She immediately popped out of you like a little kid
- 12:24that had been caught. I heard her scurry off towards
- 12:26the living room, and by the time I got to
- 12:28the front door, she was out of sight.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I'm definitely picturing her peeking, and you can tell she's
- 12:33smiling about you. Her eyes, her eyebrows are raised.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You know, man, I'm already okay, yeah, I'm in you know,
- 12:39because like.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It's just so weird too. It's like, not, it's obviously strange.
- 12:45It's not that she's even threatening, because yeah, if I
- 12:47first saw this, I'd be like, what the hell are
- 12:49you even doing? And then just and then the shes
- 12:51off because she got caught. It's there's nothing threatening. It's
- 12:54just so surreal and odd that a grown woman would
- 12:56do that that it does make it creepy.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like so at a character, Like imagine your
- 13:01wife doing that kind of thing, you know, like.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That would yeah, no, I would be like, what the
- 13:05fuck are you doing?
- 13:06Speaker 2: It would be like, oh, no, come back here with
- 13:08that ext what that was?
- 13:10Speaker 1: Run off like a toddler?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, don't what, Like I'm imagining like my wife doing that.
- 13:15Like if I was walking through the house and it
- 13:16was like just an i of herbs, I'd be like no, no, no, no, no,
- 13:20no no, we're not going to bed until we talk
- 13:22about that.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no way. I'd be like, yeah, especially, can
- 13:26you imagine like living on the day normally after that,
- 13:29like we're like brushing our teeth at night, I'd be like, No, seriously,
- 13:32what the fuck were you doing earlier? It's just a prank.
- 13:36I'm like, well, don't do that no more.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Like what I'm sorry, are you a child?
- 13:42Speaker 1: Exactly? Were you a fucking jesture? I'm gonna get you
- 13:45a hat with some bells on it. You freak put
- 13:49a collar on her?
- 13:50Speaker 2: Like, well, that sounded weird, but you know what I mean, Like, okay,
- 13:54can take it back immediately down to that one. But no,
- 13:59it's like it is uncanny. It's like an odd it's creepy.
- 14:04It's it's creepy enough, you know. Yeah, it was really
- 14:07weird and just totally out of character for her, Like
- 14:10I said, but I also found it kind of funny
- 14:12that she was being more playful and a little less serious.
- 14:16I shouted that I loved her and called her a weirdo.
- 14:18As I shut the door behind me, I heard her laughing, Oh.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I don't like that, even from him. I don't know
- 14:24that whole interaction wasn't I love you, you fucking freak
- 14:30behind the door, Like, okay, you get the dinner parties
- 14:34at their house are unbearable. Hey worth the throwing on
- 14:37the football game tomorrow night. I'm like, no, no, I'm good.
- 14:40Hey babe, Hey, you freak of my attic. They just
- 14:43got a touchdown. She makes the best pork roast, does
- 14:46what she guys. It's like she's like hanging from the
- 14:48ceiling like a spider, and she's like Chris scampering across
- 14:51the walls. I got there.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Is it? Her guacamole? Delicious?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Oh man, it's delightful.
- 15:00Speaker 2: She's She's like you just hear Laddin coming. She's not
- 15:03speaking it, but there's Laddin coming from her. Her behavior
- 15:10was a bit odd, but it certainly wasn't something to
- 15:12call a priest over. I forgot about it by lunch,
- 15:15and by the time I got home, she was her
- 15:16normal self. I didn't bring it up, and neither did she,
- 15:19and life went on. The next incident happened three days later.
- 15:23It was around two am, and I had woken up
- 15:25to get a drink. I was standing at the kitchen island,
- 15:28jug of oj in hand, and I felt a strong
- 15:31feeling that I was being watched for whatever reason. I
- 15:36looked down at the floor and saw my wife's smiling
- 15:40face staring back. She was speaking at me from the
- 15:43other side of the island, staring up at me with wide,
- 15:47unblinking eyes and grinning, grinning like the cheshire cat. I screamed,
- 15:52I'll admit it, not out of irritation, but fear. For
- 15:56some reason, at that moment, I was scared at the
- 15:59sound to my scream, Lynn scuttled backwards out of my
- 16:03scuddled I do not like the words cuttled.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, no, no, no, no, she's.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Like vibrating backwards really quick, like yeah, her hands and
- 16:13feet smacking the tile floor. Oh, I don't like that either.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Her hands and feet smacking the tile floor, which she
- 16:21had goddamn duck.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Know.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I imagine that she's like running away like a duck.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Like it's just like feet pointed, just like blobbling side
- 16:28aside to the ground. That gets me in like horror
- 16:32films when it's like dark, but you hear like the
- 16:35like the running you know, getting quicker.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Okay, see I didn't I didn't have the visual of
- 16:40you doing that, so I didn't know what that clapping was.
- 16:42The uh, the the collar you know.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah, the.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I will say, the new context of this being at
- 16:50two am makes the one during the day, like you
- 16:53could easily see that being played off, but at two am,
- 16:55I'd be like, it takes on such a whole new entity.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like my wife's like pranked me before,
- 17:02you know, like, oh yeah, put something scary somewhere, so
- 17:05maybe you could ride it off as up, but I
- 17:07would I would ask her about it.
- 17:09Speaker 1: If it's super uncharacteristic, though, it just feels even more odd,
- 17:13you know, you know it's uncharacteristic. Pick this up, you
- 17:15know it's uncharacteristic.
- 17:16Speaker 2: But I mean we've only seen one instance, so maybe
- 17:18it happens here, But there's no alleviation after the scare,
- 17:23right Like if some if your friend scares you and
- 17:26you set me laugh, there's like the ha ha you
- 17:28know whatever I got you. But if that never happens,
- 17:33then there's like a it's like just a strange tension,
- 17:36you know. Yeah, that's kind of it's kind of the
- 17:38vibe I get scuttle down my view to smacking the
- 17:41tile floor. Wait, whoa hold on her hands and feet
- 17:45smacking the tile floor. She hurried out of the kitchen
- 17:48on all fours. Yeah, I didn't get that far.
- 17:52Speaker 1: She's running around the house. It's like I should have
- 17:54never taken to say, Planet of the Apes on all fours, like.
- 17:58Speaker 2: A joke about the in spider running across the walls.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I'm telling you, like a goddamn beetle walk around.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:05Speaker 1: No, it's no.
- 18:06Speaker 2: She's like, she's like six inches off the floor, her
- 18:09whole body parallel, and her arms and legs are bent
- 18:12at like the knees and elbows.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Like yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I'm expecting.
- 18:16Speaker 2: What the heck? I didn't run after her, or even
- 18:19yell after her. I just stood there, frozen in shock,
- 18:22wondering what had possessed her to do that. It took
- 18:25me a little longer than I'd like to admit to
- 18:27go back upstairs, but I eventually did. When I got
- 18:30to our bedroom, Lynn was lying on her side asleep.
- 18:34I would wake her up. I'd be like, no, no, no,
- 18:37we're talking about this. Yeah, I mean, oh, I don't
- 18:42wake her Like.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Hell, I'd fucking turn on the flip on the light
- 18:45and slam the door.
- 18:47Speaker 2: That's what I'd say, my prediction is that there's another
- 18:51entity in the house that looks like his wife.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Oh see, I'm I'm still if I was a betting man.
- 18:58I still think that his wife is gone and something
- 19:00has taken its place.
- 19:01Speaker 2: That's what it is, what I think that's possible. I'm
- 19:03assuming in between, though there's like a lot of like
- 19:06normal time.
- 19:07Speaker 1: At first, I imagine. I think it's gonna be a
- 19:09slow transition.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, or at least pretending to
- 19:13be asleep. I staid there for a while, watching her
- 19:15breathing to be sure she was really asleep. I had
- 19:18the feeling she might jump out at me the moment
- 19:20I got into bed, but she didn't climbed in a bed,
- 19:23and she didn't even move. Her breathing was soft and deep,
- 19:26and I was starting to wonder if I dreamt the
- 19:28whole thing. The next morning, I waited for her to
- 19:31come down for coffee, and after handing her mug and
- 19:33kissing her cheek, I decided to ask her about it.
- 19:36Speaker 1: What was that about last night?
- 19:39Speaker 2: I asked, keeping my tone light so I did an
- 19:41offend or embarrass her. She frowned over a cup of coffee,
- 19:45shaking her head like she had no clue what I
- 19:47was referring to.
- 19:48Speaker 1: You were peaking at me again from over there.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I said, pointing to the spot on the floor by
- 19:53the kitchen island. She followed my gaze, and when she
- 19:57looked back at me, she burst out laughing. You laugh
- 20:00so hard. I couldn't help a join her.
- 20:02Speaker 1: You creep me the fuck out sometimes, you know that.
- 20:05Speaker 2: She giggled and set her cup on the counter and
- 20:07wrapped her arms around my neck.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You creep me out all the time. So I guess
- 20:12we're even what that was a weird interaction. This is
- 20:16what I'm thinking. I'm thinking that this is just a
- 20:18fucking socially weird ass couple. Dude, I've done some people
- 20:21like this.
- 20:22Speaker 2: These are just some weird people.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Yeah, like where it's just like the guys just like yeah,
- 20:26I mean, my favorite thing to do is play Settlers
- 20:28of Catan and watch the Old Gargoyle show on Disney XD.
- 20:31And she likes to crochet and eat pears. You're like,
- 20:33what kind of fucking what world are you in?
- 20:36Speaker 2: Dude? The ampules are always so specific. You know, someone
- 20:41who played Settlers of Kittana watch this dark oil?
- 20:45Speaker 1: Yes, his girlfriend with cruche the whole time and you
- 20:48eat raw pears. It was so fucking odd. It was unbelievable.
- 20:52I'm telling you, described Yes, it's it's it's And I'm
- 20:55like it makes sense to where it's like then I'm
- 20:58reading this family you were talking. I don't know. All
- 21:06I know is when I read these things, I'm like,
- 21:08it is this is not out of the realm of
- 21:10reality of a guy being like just having these kind
- 21:13of awkward interactions and stuff. I don't know. There are
- 21:16a bunch of.
- 21:16Speaker 2: People I know who are like strange, you know, socially,
- 21:20and I'm like, what are they like at home? You know, yeah,
- 21:23like a day to day conversations. Yeah.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Also, I just want to say too, just looking back
- 21:28at her quote, was you creep me out all the time.
- 21:30So I guess we're even just reading that back, it
- 21:33feels like she didn't respond to anything besides there do
- 21:36you think that's like, I mean, it doesn't feel like
- 21:38a human interaction. Really, she feels kind of weird, like
- 21:41I don't know.
- 21:42Speaker 2: So I guess it kind of sounds like she's still
- 21:45not acknowledging what he's talking about.
- 21:48Speaker 1: What's what I mean is she's He's like, what is that,
- 21:49because it's sure she laughed, but to me, I read
- 21:51it kind of like she's fucking weird as hell, a
- 21:54creepy eating pears and doing whatever that she has to do.
- 21:57But I think, like, more so, wouldn't you be like,
- 21:59I know, I've just been messing with you, Like you
- 22:01would like have a trail on sentence to that, and
- 22:03then her it's like even it's it's even kind of
- 22:05a threat to or her being like you creep me
- 22:08out all the time. It's kind of insulting.
- 22:10Speaker 2: The closest thing I could think of is if like
- 22:12Kayla was pranking me and I was like, what's that about,
- 22:15she'd be like, I don't know what you're talking about,
- 22:17Like she would keep the game going, but like the
- 22:19whole yeah, you creep me out all the time, like
- 22:21almost making it like a like a cutesy romantic moment.
- 22:25You know that's what.
- 22:26Speaker 1: It's a backhanded it's a backhanded like compliment kind of thing.
- 22:30Or it's like it's supposed to be a cutesy insult
- 22:32to me. I'm like, oh to where in the moment
- 22:34you'd be like, oh, okay, it's normal. But I feel
- 22:36like on my drive. It would eat at me all day.
- 22:38My wife would get some some very inquisitive test What
- 22:42did you mean by that?
- 22:43Speaker 2: What are you talking about? It's so funny, the fair
- 22:46thing is so good. Just eating this sounds like this
- 22:50sounds like it eats dry spaghetti kind of person right
- 22:54like from the just opens a box eats the dry noodles.
- 22:58Speaker 1: You know, Oh dude, that kind thank you choose on
- 23:03dry noodles like chips and then cooks it and doesn't
- 23:06use like pasta sauce but ketchup. Yes, I mean it's tomato.
- 23:10I mean it's tomatoes.
- 23:11Speaker 2: It's all the same thing. You can't taste the difference. Yeah,
- 23:13those freaks, Yeah those Yeah, horrible.
- 23:17Speaker 1: The biggest horror of all.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Do you need to talk about it?
- 23:20Speaker 4: No?
- 23:21Speaker 2: No, I We said our goodvies and left for work.
- 23:26As I drove, I kept thinking about how creepy it
- 23:28had been. Seen her grinning at me from behind the
- 23:30island like that, the sounds her hands made on the floor.
- 23:33She crawled away, see like that. That takes me out
- 23:36of it. I've watched them, it's never crawled in.
- 23:40Speaker 1: There would be there would be some inquisitive text. I
- 23:42would have to send.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, what the heck? I told myself she was
- 23:47just trying to be silly, just trying to join me
- 23:49in my love of all things horror. It's not like
- 23:52I was afraid of her, but it still didn't set
- 23:54right with me. Yeah, yeah, maybe maybe this can confine
- 23:58in the realms of just like a weird couple.
- 24:01Speaker 1: That's how I'm reading it, Just kind of an odd
- 24:02ball couple.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Yeah. I started seeing her peeking at me more and more.
- 24:06Sometimes she'd be peeking out from behind the couch or
- 24:08living room curtains. Once you and man should get inside
- 24:11her grandmother's old trunk that sits at the foot of
- 24:13our bed, I might not have even known she was
- 24:16there at all, had the trunks old Higgins Hinges not
- 24:19giving her away.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Hey, babe, could you get out of the trunk.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Please? Imagine you're going to bed to not You're like
- 24:24in your boxers and T shirt, and you walk out
- 24:27of bed and your wife like.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Staking your balls, your farting and all kinds of stuff,
- 24:31and then like, my wife is just hit the foot
- 24:33of my bed in the smallest bulvarian trunk of all time,
- 24:38And I'm like, how the hell did you even get
- 24:40in there.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Can you please come get out of the trunk. Please,
- 24:46I'm I'm going to have an affair just to make
- 24:50you do something else, just to make you mad.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I don't want to, but I need to feel something
- 24:57else besides field.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Something I I'm constantly afraid in this house. People looking
- 25:05at me like a freak.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Well, she hasn't gone to work in four months because
- 25:09she just sits in the trunk all day.
- 25:11Speaker 2: You bring like her parents over there, like sweetie, you
- 25:14want to come out, just like looking at you like
- 25:16an eye.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we have to bring the family therapist over. It's
- 25:20because it's old German guy. He's like times, get trunk, Yeah,
- 25:24come to me. Then come, So he says.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Did this family? Did the Pear family have a German therapist? That?
- 25:33Speaker 1: I don't know?
- 25:33Speaker 2: Okay, that that was your first abstraction.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the first piece of fiction to that story.
- 25:39Speaker 2: By the way, she had the lip propped up just
- 25:43enough so that only half of her face peeked through.
- 25:46She'd been grinning like an excited toddler. It was unnerving.
- 25:50I didn't even know what to say to her. All
- 25:52I could do was stare. When I finally found my voice.
- 25:56I asked her why on earth she was doing this.
- 25:58She didn't answer. She had slowly closed the lid.
- 26:04Speaker 1: A dude, can we talk about this like adults.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I'll I'll let me read the sentence. She didn't answer,
- 26:15but she had slowly closed the lid, shutting herself inside
- 26:20the trunk. I just walked away, feeling disturbed. Imagine that
- 26:25you walk out, You're like, babe, can you can we
- 26:27go to bed? And she just like slowly sets the trunk,
- 26:31and You're like, I guess I'm watching Family Guy reruns.
- 26:35I guess I'm sitting on the couch. Oh, look, Family
- 26:39Matters is on reruns. I guess I'll leave that on.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Cosby shows on. I feel awkward about that, but I
- 26:46guess I'm watching it.
- 26:48Speaker 2: I didn't understand why she was doing it, but it
- 26:52clearly made her happy. I just hope she would tire
- 26:55out of the game quickly let it peek at me.
- 26:58For the next two weeks, I started to think she
- 27:01was done with her weird prank, and I was relieved.
- 27:03We're watching a show on Netflix one night, and I
- 27:05jokingly said that I hadn't seen her peeking at me
- 27:08lately and that she must have given up on her
- 27:10spy game. She looked up at me with a small
- 27:13smile and.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Said, maybe I've just gotten better at it. Oh, it's
- 27:17a great line.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I didn't like that.
- 27:20Speaker 1: That's that's a great line. That's fucking creepy. You. You
- 27:23know why that fucked me up though, too, is because
- 27:25my fat ass is thinking about like me chuck, like
- 27:28scarfing down some chocolate cake at night and not realizing
- 27:31that my wife is just watching me devour like a
- 27:34piece of like triple chocolate cake, and I'm like, did
- 27:36you see that? Did you see me the joul chocolate
- 27:39game bag?
- 27:39Speaker 2: I mean it's like, sorry, go ahead to finish your bed.
- 27:46I didn't cut you off through the bed. There's like
- 27:50this sacredness to your house, right, you know that, like
- 27:54when you're up at like two in the morning walking
- 27:56around and stuff like that, Like you know, you're in
- 27:58your own world. Who cares? But it's it's weird to
- 28:02think that the person kind of invading that privacy would
- 28:05be like the one person you share it with, you know,
- 28:08because there's not there's not any other scenarios I can
- 28:11think of where like my wife would feel like an intruder.
- 28:15Speaker 1: You know, yeah, to trust more than anyone else on
- 28:19earth exactly.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yeah. But if she was like refusing to talk about
- 28:24how she would spy on me for long periods of
- 28:26time and I couldn't see her, like, dude.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Well, it's just too it's just weird. It's good, that's
- 28:33I haven't.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Heard, you know. I can't think of a time because
- 28:35every like, oh, my wife is scary horror story I
- 28:38know is about like possession or you know, demonic stuff
- 28:41like that. Whatever. This was just kind of eerie. I
- 28:45like it. I didn't say anything, but I wondered whether
- 28:48or not she was joking. For the next few days,
- 28:51I couldn't stop thinking about what she'd said. Was she
- 28:53still peeking at me when I wasn't looking and I
- 28:55just hadn't noticed, And if so, what the hell was
- 28:58she getting out of this? I started to feel paranoid,
- 29:02constantly checking whether she was watching from around the corner
- 29:05or behind a door. I was jumping whenever I was
- 29:08home and she wasn't in in full view of me.
- 29:11I felt stupid and a little crazy. But after a
- 29:14few weeks without another incident, I began to relax. I
- 29:18stopped checking behind furniture and walls and told myself it
- 29:21was just a bad memory. Then a few days ago
- 29:25things got much worse. Lynn left to go to a
- 29:28friend's and I lounged on the couch and played a
- 29:30couple of games on my laptop. Around nine pm, I
- 29:33hopped in the shower as I was washing the soap
- 29:36from my hair. Okay, I'm getting chills now. Yeah, imagine
- 29:41because it's your wife, bro, you know, like it's supposed
- 29:44to be just positive feeling.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Well, one thing that's kind of interesting about these my wife.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Is than when I'm recording these episodes.
- 29:55Speaker 1: But the instinctual feeling of like knowing that someone is
- 29:59watching it was such a weird human trait to have,
- 30:02But for the idea of it to feel so foreign
- 30:04from someone that you're supposed to trust so much is
- 30:07just really interesting. Yeah, because I feel like I've had
- 30:09feelings like, oh I can tell him, I like you can.
- 30:11It's like different presence, you know what i mean. Yeah,
- 30:14Like whenever you feel like a stranger's looking at you,
- 30:16like and you have that feeling is different than when
- 30:18you feel like your wife is maybe looking at you.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 1: So I'm just I feel like his body is even
- 30:22picking up on like, oh, I feel like like some
- 30:24kind of stranger is looking at me right now.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, there's been a lot, so it's like that
- 30:29primal thing, right of like someone's looking at me. Someone's
- 30:31looking at me. Yeah, but you like don't get that
- 30:35with your wife or you know, the person you live
- 30:37with or whatever. But to like, yeah, like you said,
- 30:40like to pick up, it's almost like you relearn that
- 30:43fear of them, you know. Mm hmm. That's interesting. I
- 30:46was in the shower. I felt that awful feeling that
- 30:49I was being watched. Slowly opened my eyes and almost
- 30:51had a heart attack. Lynn was peeking from behind the
- 30:55shower curtain. Her entire head stretched into the shower, leaving
- 30:59just her body outside. Her long dark hair hung against
- 31:03the curtain, the end stripping with water. Her mouth hung
- 31:07open in a terrible grin, eyes wide and red as
- 31:12if she had it blaked in a while. I screamed
- 31:16and jumped back against the wall. She didn't move, nor
- 31:20did she smile, nor did her smile. Waver her makeup
- 31:23ran down her cheeks in two black streaks. She looked
- 31:27giddy and completely deranged. I was terrified. Oh that's awesome,
- 31:32that's really good, and that's good. Her eyes like she
- 31:35won't blink, She's just wanting to look at you. We
- 31:38stood like that for a few moments, neither of us
- 31:40saying a word. Finally, after what felt like forever, she
- 31:43slowly pulled her head back out of the shower, and
- 31:46I watched her blurry figure through the curtain as she
- 31:48moved backwards towards the bathroom door. A second later, the
- 31:52bathroom door slam shut, hard enough to rattle the mirror.
- 31:57I screamed again and jumped out of the shower to
- 31:59lock the door. I stayed inside the bathroom for over
- 32:03an hour. Maybe I overreacted to some of you, but
- 32:08joke or not, I wasn't going to put up with
- 32:10this crazy shit anymore. That's what I kept telling myself. Is.
- 32:13I paced in my bathroom, stopping to listen at the
- 32:16door every few minutes. Suddenly I heard a muffled sound,
- 32:20and I pressed my ear against the bathroom door, straining
- 32:23to listen. I couldn't hear anything, but I envisioned Lynn
- 32:27standing on the other side of the door, giggling at
- 32:29her joke. I felt a surge of anger. I was
- 32:33beyond pissed at being made to feel scared in my
- 32:36own house and made to hide in the bathroom for
- 32:38an hour, all for what some joke. If it was
- 32:42a joke, it was an awful one.
- 32:44Speaker 1: What the fuck, Lynn, this shit's getting really fucking annoying.
- 32:48Speaker 2: I waited for her to apologize or to call me
- 32:50a jerk, but instead I heard a faint moan so
- 32:54quiet I wondered if I heard it at all, and
- 32:56then complete silence.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Lynn.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I called out, not able to even hide the shakiness
- 33:03in my voice. I got no response, just my own
- 33:06heavy breathing.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I swear to God, just fucking stop it.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I yelled, pounded my fist on the door. I waited
- 33:15for her to cuss me out, something I would expect
- 33:18from me talking to her like that. I never screamed
- 33:21at her before, But there was nothing, just the occasional
- 33:25drip from the shower head. I won't deny that I
- 33:29was scared, too afraid to open the damn door and
- 33:32face my own wife. I waited another thirty minutes or so,
- 33:36which feels like a lifetime when you're scared. Finally, I
- 33:39decided I wasn't going to spend the night hiding in
- 33:41my bathroom, so I got down on my knees and
- 33:43peered under the door. I almost expected to see her
- 33:47face peeking back at me, but thankfully I didn't. I
- 33:50could see straight down the hallway to the top of
- 33:52the stairs, but no Lin. I didn't know if I
- 33:56should be happy about that or not. I looked for
- 33:59a few minutes, waiting to see her head pop up
- 34:01over the top step, but it never came. And ah, oh,
- 34:06what an awful idea, What an awful visual. I stood up,
- 34:11my hand hovering over the door, and mentally prepared myself
- 34:14to open it. I slowly turned the lock with shaky fingers.
- 34:18I was about to yank it open when I heard
- 34:21a sound still makes me feel nauseous when I think
- 34:24about it, A moan louder than before. But this time
- 34:29I was able to tell just where it was coming from.
- 34:33I turned my head to the closet door ooh, as
- 34:36if in slow motion, and locked eyes with my wife,
- 34:40who was peeking out from the slight gap. Her eyes
- 34:43were still wide as ever, and her mouth was hanging
- 34:45open in the most grotesque, gaping smile I'd ever seen.
- 34:50I didn't even scream. I was too scared for even
- 34:53that her hands were clasped to her chest, body trembling
- 34:57with sheer delight, as if she could barely contain her excitement.
- 35:02A short, raspy moue bubbled up from her throat, deep
- 35:07and raw, and it does shiver through my entire body.
- 35:12Speaker 1: How do you imagine the moon sounding.
- 35:17Speaker 2: You can't hear, but that they can, Okay, yeah, kind
- 35:21of like a like a death rattle kind of noise almost,
- 35:24you know.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Well, imagine if you're smiling, it's like, uh.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, like you're so eager with the excitement,
- 35:34you're like trying to hold in a scream almost, you know.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Yeah, almost, Like it's like the kind of like short
- 35:39burst of air you get from trying to hold in
- 35:41your laughter.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Almost.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I'm just like a picture of my head because this
- 35:45is there's so much, I'm so glued to the story.
- 35:49I haven't like even been wanting to talk. It's it's
- 35:51been so good, but I'm trying to get in my
- 35:53mind's I'm having a hard time figuring out what the
- 35:55short raspe is.
- 35:57Speaker 2: She like visibly like her eyes are red because she's
- 36:00holding them open her mouth. She has her hands clasped
- 36:05up to her chest, like not across her chest, but
- 36:08like like a kid who's like excited to go somewhere
- 36:12and has like his like fist up and he's like bouncing,
- 36:15you know.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Yeah, And I imagine a backpack or something.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's like yeah, yeah, exactly. And I imagine
- 36:23the moment to be like kind of like a little eke,
- 36:25you know, like like you know.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Yeah, like like a very like little high pitch frequency
- 36:30with it.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, like.
- 36:32Speaker 1: The little bit of the the big bubbling rasping, like
- 36:35the bubble that's coming up from her throat is carrying
- 36:38in just like a very low bit of wind coming
- 36:41from her her air coming that's over the top of this,
- 36:43just like leaking out a high pitch frequency.
- 36:46Speaker 2: She is so excited for this. Yeah. Yeah. Somehow I
- 36:50found the ability to pull the bathroom door open and
- 36:52ran as fast as I could all the way down
- 36:54the steps, snagging my keys and phone from the table
- 36:57in the living room before running outside of my car.
- 37:00I could hear her shrill laughter behind me, but I
- 37:02didn't hear her getting closer. I didn't bother shutting the
- 37:06front door, drove away from the house faster than I
- 37:09legally should have, shivering the entire time, either from fear
- 37:14or the cold, maybe a little of both. I didn't
- 37:17grabbed a coat or even a pair of shoes. I
- 37:19was still in my boxers and my hair was still damp.
- 37:23I drove straight to my brother Chris's house, about forty
- 37:25minutes away. You know, in any and every call in
- 37:27text I got, I didn't check my phone until I
- 37:31was safely parked in my brother's driveway. Lyndad called four
- 37:35times and sent a flurry of text all wondering where
- 37:38I'd gone and why I left.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Quote like that, I'm reading that she's sending these texts
- 37:43as well, Like I'm just picturing her smiling looking at
- 37:45her phone. Yeah, I think left like that. I think
- 37:48it's much more malicious or it's like, you know, like
- 37:50almost like mocking and tagging.
- 37:53Speaker 2: It's like, oh, why'd you leave like that? Oh you
- 37:54scared or you was scaredy boy, like that kind of thing.
- 37:57Speaker 1: What'd you leave like that?
- 37:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Like there's a there's like a like a high
- 38:02school mockery to it. Almost.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I threw my phone at the dash in rage, furious
- 38:08at her nonchalant attitude. My brother and his wife were
- 38:11surprised to see me, especially dressed in just a pair
- 38:14of boxers, but told me to stay as long as
- 38:16I needed. Chris let me some clothes and asked me
- 38:19what happened. Told him when and I had a fight,
- 38:22but didn't get into the details. I didn't want to
- 38:24think I was overreacting leaving my wife over a prank,
- 38:27even if it was a strange one. I mean, hadn't
- 38:30I encouraged her for years to lighten up instead of
- 38:33being so serious all the time. I wanted her to
- 38:36relax and loose it up. But this, it's definitely not
- 38:39what I'd had in mind. That that is a hard
- 38:41situation to get anyone else to understand, you know, like
- 38:45your your friend comes over. He's like, well she she
- 38:49peeked at me, she's really excited about it.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Well, I think it's just it's just it's insane. I mean,
- 38:56like you probably feel like you're going absolutely crazy.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like how do you reason that through?
- 39:01I mean even to himself, He's like, he understands that
- 39:05this is an absurd situation, but it's how long it's
- 39:09gone on and her like unreasonableness afterwards that's got him.
- 39:13So I'd understand being mad, you know.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and being in a relationship too. I think that
- 39:18there's a lot of like give and take, especially when
- 39:21you've been within a relationship so long. That's just like,
- 39:24I don't know, like the amount of guilt you must
- 39:26feel as well, or like just be like what am
- 39:28I doing? I'm overreacting like you would be lying. You
- 39:31would be dancing circles around your head trying to make
- 39:34sense of all this.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I tried to sleep on their sofa, but
- 39:38my brain wouldn't let me sleep. Every time I close
- 39:41my eyes, I saw Lind's face staring at me from
- 39:43inside the closet, knowing she'd been in there with me
- 39:46the entire time. It made my skin crawl. She never
- 39:50left the bathroom at all, said, she flipped inside the
- 39:53closet and slammed the bathroom door shut to fool me.
- 39:57The mere thought of going back home gave me inside.
- 40:00I tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Chris ended up
- 40:04giving me a sleeping pill so I was able to
- 40:06get a little rest. Sleep was filled with terrible dreams,
- 40:10all of Lynne's smiling face.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I think this could be some kind of creature that
- 40:14is uh like feeding off of fear.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Almost it could be like like a mimic of sorts.
- 40:20Speaker 1: That's kind of like it's like relishing in the idea
- 40:22of just watching him be afraid, ye haris you know, yeah,
- 40:28that's what I mean.
- 40:29Speaker 2: That question would be if it just looks like his
- 40:31wife and it killed her, or maybe it's kind of
- 40:33like a possession thing, like it controls his wife, you know.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm almost wondering if it's something that gets passed
- 40:39on as well, like and it follows deal of like
- 40:43is did something similar happen that maybe she didn't talk
- 40:45to her husband about before he even knew she was gone,
- 40:49and this thing had replaced her.
- 40:51Speaker 2: So if I think if it is just like a woman,
- 40:53like when I picture the story in my head, it's
- 40:55it's more really scary, you know, like a like a stranger,
- 41:00like making that face and like smiling, being so happy.
- 41:02But when I picture my wife, it's more so like
- 41:07it's just annoyance.
- 41:08Speaker 1: You know, I guess it's annoyance, But to me, it's
- 41:11even worse because you you can it's much easier whenever
- 41:16it's a stranger because you've never perceived that person any
- 41:18other way. Probably besides this so when it's some of that,
- 41:21you know, one my immediate thing is you feel guilty,
- 41:23and you're also like are you okay? Yeah, you are
- 41:26annoyed because you're like I'm trying. I'm like trying to
- 41:29help you, but at the same time, I feel like
- 41:30I want to leave and I feel guilty. Like there's
- 41:32so many different kinds of I think emotions that go
- 41:34into it.
- 41:35Speaker 2: It's yeah, it's a weird emotion. You know. It's almost
- 41:38like have you ever tried to like reason with someone
- 41:40who's high. Yeah, where it's like where you're like, you
- 41:44kind of come on, talk to me talking they like,
- 41:47you know, they're in there, but you can't get through
- 41:49to them. So you're trying to figure out how to
- 41:51phrase yourself to get through to them, you know. Like right,
- 41:55it's it's yeah, it's like there's a veil almost. It's
- 41:58kind of it's creepy in that way.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:00Speaker 2: I woke up just as the sun started to rise.
- 42:03My sore body ached from the sofa and I felt drained.
- 42:06I knew i'd have to call in at some point,
- 42:08but I didn't know what to say to her. I
- 42:10wouldn't be going home unless she gave me her word,
- 42:12she never do any more creepy shit. I just wanted
- 42:15my wife back, her normal, serious self. Never looked so
- 42:18good to me. I was contemplating calling her and telling
- 42:21her that when that familiar feeling came over me, I
- 42:25was being watched. I was staring at the ceiling, my
- 42:28heart in my throat. Didn't want to look away. But
- 42:30the longer I ignored the feeling, the worse it got.
- 42:34My eyes drifted away from the ceiling, almost on their own.
- 42:38Her face was pressed up against the window beside the couch.
- 42:42Oh man, staring down at me with that same gaping smile. Bruh, Yeah,
- 42:52oh gosh. It followed him all the way there. Drool
- 42:56dribbled down her lips, leaving two long streaks down the glass.
- 43:00I didn't know how long she'd been there, but something
- 43:02told me she'd been there for quite a while, possibly
- 43:05all night. Bro.
- 43:06Speaker 1: If that's the case. If that's the case, then two,
- 43:08I think that you were right to assume that's something paranormal. Yeah,
- 43:12I mean, how else would it know? Yeah, of course
- 43:14you were at It knows where he went. It was
- 43:16a forty minute drive and it got there, you know. Yeah,
- 43:19unless it stewed away in the car with him. How
- 43:21could it do that if not paranormal exactly, Which that's
- 43:25another terrifying fact that it was in the car with
- 43:27him the whole time. But yeah, that was moving and
- 43:29keep it keeps moving and like plotting how it's going
- 43:32to like follow and watch him. Yeah, it's just interesting.
- 43:37Speaker 2: I didn't bother screaming, though I was afraid. Anger trumped
- 43:40any fear I felt at that moment. Jumped up from
- 43:43the couch and pouted, my palm against the glass.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Lynn, are you crazy? What the hell is wrong with you?
- 43:49Just go home now?
- 43:52Speaker 2: She didn't move, and her ghastly expression never changed, but
- 43:55anything or smile only grew, as if she had never
- 43:58been more elated. I could hear Chris and his wife
- 44:00moving around upstairs, as if Lynn could hear them from
- 44:03her place outside. Her head twitched slightly in their direction,
- 44:06and she began to close her mouth slowly. Chris called
- 44:09my name from upstairs, obviously concerned. I turned to see
- 44:13him and his wife, Rebecca, hurrying down the steps, and
- 44:16I turned back to the window. Lynn was gone. The
- 44:19only sign she'd been there at all was the two
- 44:20streaks of drools still dripping down the glass. I tried
- 44:24explaining to Chris and Rebecca about waking up and seeing
- 44:26Lynn watching me through their window. They were skeptical, who wouldn't.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Be That's a nice setup, not to interrupt you. That's
- 44:33a nice so too, because Chris did give our protagonist
- 44:38some like sleeping tilly before me two yep, so who
- 44:42knows I meant? And we don't know I mean? It
- 44:43could still be a hallucination of some kind.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Good bee. Chris and I went outside to the spot
- 44:48in front of the window, but there were no footprints
- 44:50in the dirt, just a slight indent animal, probably Chris
- 44:54guest and I didn't argue. He and Rebecca assumed I
- 44:57dropped the entire episode, but they didn't underst dan and
- 45:00I was too tired to explain it to them. I
- 45:03called out of work that day and turned my cell off.
- 45:05I didn't want to face Lenn. Just talking to her
- 45:08was too much for me. At that point, I really
- 45:11started to believe something was irreversibly wrong with her, that
- 45:14no matter what promises she made, we never be the
- 45:17same again. The thoughts saddened me to my core. I
- 45:21cried most of the morning. By noon, I figured I
- 45:24was ready to confront her, give her one last chance
- 45:26to explain herself. I could at least give her that
- 45:29after six years, I told myself. Turned my phone on
- 45:33and saw the dozens of texts she'd sent, all from
- 45:35a seemingly concerned wife.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Can we talk, I love you, Please call me. I'm
- 45:41really worried. Can you answer? Just come home?
- 45:45Speaker 2: And more of the same, all text telling me she
- 45:48loved me and she wanted me home, how worried she was?
- 45:52Not a damn one addressing the crazy shit she pulled,
- 45:55like she had been acting like a character from a
- 45:56Stephen King book. I'll also mention those texts are very
- 46:00vapid and just like generic you know, well to yeah
- 46:05and to end with just come home. I mean it
- 46:08feels like bait. Yeah, yeah, yeah it does. It does
- 46:11feel like swinging the carrot on a stick sort of right, definitely, Yeah,
- 46:16Even her texts were different. She normally texted novels just
- 46:19to tell me to pick up a loaf of bread.
- 46:22You'd think she'd have more to say after her bizarre shenanigans.
- 46:25That's what I mean, right, Like, normally, like your your
- 46:29person will text you more detail or something more specific
- 46:33than just I love you, please call me. You know, well, yeah,
- 46:37it's it's it's very skinned walker esque. I know it
- 46:41probably seems childish just some of you who are miles
- 46:44away from this situation. But if you saw the way
- 46:47Lynn had looked at me, how she scampered away on
- 46:49all fours like some wild animal, printed at me from
- 46:52inside the closet like a lunatic, and I think you
- 46:54find my reaction was warrnted. Yeah, I get it, bro,
- 46:58I'm I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm fully there with you.
- 47:00I look, I was. I would have said grounds for
- 47:04divorce after the crawling away on all fours. Everything else
- 47:08is just reaffirmed that point.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I would have never spoken to this person again as
- 47:13soon as she got in the fucking trunk. The trunk
- 47:15was last strong for me.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, like maybe you can save the marriage after
- 47:19the shower thing. Maybe, but that yeah, no, absolutely not. Yeah.
- 47:26I ended up saying with christ and Rebecca for another night.
- 47:29I didn't wake up yesterday until afternoon, and thankfully I
- 47:32did see Lynn's face watching me through the window.
- 47:34Speaker 1: I don't want to pry because it's not my place,
- 47:37But is this fight something that can be mended.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Rebecca asked. She made us bout the sandwich for lunch,
- 47:42and I knew she wanted to breach the subject without
- 47:44seeming to be nosey.
- 47:46Speaker 1: I don't know. I just she's like a different person.
- 47:49Speaker 2: I said, choosing my words carefully. S wasn't ready for
- 47:52her or Christen of the full extent of the batshit craziness.
- 47:55Speaker 1: I'd been dealing with people change, Ben, She's still the
- 47:59same woman you marry. Maybe people just need to talk
- 48:02to the issues. Whatever's going on. I'm sure it can
- 48:05be fixed, she said, Ever the peacemaker, I think it's
- 48:09beyond that now. I don't think. I don't think talking
- 48:14would help.
- 48:15Speaker 2: I just don't trust her, I said, the words sung
- 48:19in my heart. I missed and loved my wife. How
- 48:22could I live with someone like that? Living in constant
- 48:25fear didn't sound too appealing.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Lynn loves you. She has to be absolutely crushed. I
- 48:32don't know about that. Well, she certainly seemed like it
- 48:36to me. I've never seen her so upset.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Very much unlike the Lynn I know, she said, shaking
- 48:42her head sadly. It took a full minute for her
- 48:45words to really sink in and when they did, I
- 48:48felt dread worming its way through my skin.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Wait, what do you mean you saw her? You saw low?
- 48:53Speaker 2: Oh I didn't even register that.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I told me a second two. I'm like, oh fuck,
- 48:57when did you see her today?
- 48:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 48:58Speaker 1: Or is she in the house?
- 49:00Speaker 2: Oh?
- 49:03Speaker 1: Like waking up?
- 49:04Speaker 2: Like waking up?
- 49:04Speaker 1: And it's like, oh yeah, we invite her over for dinner.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Oh shut up, shut up, shut up. Rebecca nodded casually,
- 49:12as if the fact wasn't nightmare fuel. Maybe for her
- 49:15it wasn't.
- 49:16Speaker 1: She stopped by this morning just after Chris.
- 49:25Speaker 2: You've been in the house all day, a safe space.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Oh god, sleeping too, defenseless, gosh.
- 49:34Speaker 2: She said, cleaning the plates from the table.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I do you see your car?
- 49:37Speaker 5: Though?
- 49:38Speaker 1: Maybe she took an uber or something. Dude, he told
- 49:42you that she was outside the door. And Chris was like, ohright,
- 49:44but it's like a deer.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Well, I mean, realistically, I come to your house and
- 49:49I'm like, yeah, dude, Kayla, she was pressed up against
- 49:52the glass this morning?
- 49:54Speaker 1: Oh sure, sure? No, no, yeah, here's the thing. Let's
- 49:57say that happens, right, you say that to me, I
- 50:01say this to my wife. Yeah, I don't know I
- 50:03think Isaiah, I think he's still a bit loopy. He
- 50:05said he saw Kayla come up, and my wife would
- 50:08be like, oh yeah, he's probably just you know, still yeah,
- 50:12dozing off. And then if if Kayla was like, hey,
- 50:16can I come in, and I'd be like the next day,
- 50:19the next day, I'm like, okay, okay, it's the next day.
- 50:21You're right, you're right, Okay, you're.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Right, which does give it some level of like, okay,
- 50:25forget about that. Oh here she is.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Sure. I would still be yeah, I don't know. It
- 50:30puts me on edge of it. Back what did she say?
- 50:35Did she come inside?
- 50:37Speaker 2: I asked? What? Starting to break out on my forehead?
- 50:40I began looking around, examining corners as though a predator
- 50:43lurked behind them.
- 50:44Speaker 1: No, she just asked if you were awake yet, and
- 50:47I said that you weren't. I asked her she wanted
- 50:50to wake you, but she said no, just said to let.
- 50:53Speaker 2: You sleep, she said, as she washed the dishes.
- 50:56Speaker 1: That's all. She didn't say anything else. No, she looked awful, though,
- 51:01like she had in such in days. I think you
- 51:03should call her.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I got up from the table and thanked Rebecca for lunch.
- 51:08I felt a little bit better at the knowledge that
- 51:11at least she hadn't come inside. Still, I need to
- 51:14double check that the doors were locked. Except for a
- 51:17while trying to figure out what to do next. I
- 51:19didn't want to go home, but I felt that I
- 51:21owed it to Lynn to help her if I could,
- 51:24had I sworn an oath to love and honor her
- 51:26through sickness and in health. Clearly she was very sick,
- 51:30and that's a good point, right, Like, true, my wife's
- 51:32had some mental snap. I want to help her if possible,
- 51:36of course.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's not the main characters on a monster.
- 51:39He's just completely drained. I mean he's he slept for
- 51:42basically twenty four straight hours because of just probably tossing
- 51:46and turning. Think about this stuff.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Nothing supernatural has happened in the story, right, Like we're
- 51:51theorizing what it might be. But it's I like the
- 51:54mention of like, I need to make sure the doors
- 51:56are locked, because yeah, that probably would keep her out,
- 51:58because we haven't seen anything so far like oh she
- 52:00can lie, you know, crawl phase through a door or
- 52:03something like that.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Well, he's scratching. He's scratching for any kind of security
- 52:07at this moment. Yeah, he does completely restless mind.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I'm so locked in. This is great. Yeah,
- 52:14you know what, audience, you're You're all right for now.
- 52:19It's going to be like two paragraphs later, it's gonna
- 52:21be like, there's a seven year old boy and he's like,
- 52:23have you.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Seen Rebecca brought out her cousin, her nine year old cousin.
- 52:29Speaker 2: We're going to go to see the skin. Ben like, yeay,
- 52:34oh is that a guy? Yeah, Rebecca shows up in
- 52:36a bear suit. Yeah, I'd be like, okay, all right,
- 52:40I see, I see what happened here. If she was sick,
- 52:43which I truly believe she was, I had to try
- 52:46and get her the help she needed. But I didn't
- 52:49even know where to start. I didn't want to call
- 52:51the police, and besides, what the hell was I going
- 52:53to tell them that my wife was peeking at me,
- 52:56she was being creepy. It's bizarre she'd been She's still
- 53:00hadn't committed any crime, not yet. Anyway, the police would
- 53:04have probably said that I was overreacting. But this wasn't
- 53:08some prank. It felt wrong, dangerous, even, like something sinister
- 53:13lurked beneath her smile. I knew was her husband. I
- 53:16was well within my rights to have her committed. But
- 53:19what if that's a funny way of phrasing that line.
- 53:23That's what I'm saying. I know that when a woman
- 53:27begins to lose her mind, it's only right that she'd
- 53:30be put into a ward as anyone, any normal, as
- 53:35any respectiful, God fearing husband would, and then sleep with
- 53:38his secretary to take the pain off of his mind,
- 53:41you know, as God intended in the Bible, as my
- 53:45pastor said. But what if she simply acted normal in
- 53:49their presence. She'd obviously been able to fall Rebecca into
- 53:52thinking she was just a concerned wife, as long as
- 53:56the doctors didn't find her a danger to herself or
- 53:58others that have no choice but to release her. After
- 54:01seventy two hours, I felt lost and overwhelmed. I will say,
- 54:06if this story was said of the nineteen fifties, would
- 54:08have been two paragraphs long. My wife leaned around a corner,
- 54:12So I shot her anyway, Yeah.
- 54:15Speaker 1: So I So I choked her out and threw it
- 54:18in the lake. That old teacher for burning the roast,
- 54:21Yeah that yeah, yeah, exactly, And Nasha stopped crying so
- 54:25much around the house.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Maybe if she wasn't like Pagan, this wouldn't have happened.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Yeah, oh well, she's she is Catholic.
- 54:32Speaker 2: What do you do? God bless you, FDR. So I
- 54:37did what any husband in my position would do. I
- 54:40called her mother.
- 54:45Speaker 1: That's a funny that's a funny line.
- 54:47Speaker 2: I didn't want to believe me. Her mother, mary Anne,
- 54:50and I were never on the best of terms. I
- 54:53never fought or anything like that. She just wasn't a
- 54:56very warm person and it wasn't really easy to get
- 54:58along with. She ever smiled, and when she did, only
- 55:02her lips would move into a thin lips smile leaven
- 55:04her eyes as blank as before. She gave off this
- 55:07aura that felt like she was permanently on the offensive.
- 55:11I'd only ever met her twice, and both times were
- 55:14for such short visits. I got the oppressed, and she
- 55:18didn't approve of me. For her daughter, Alynn always ushered
- 55:21us out quickly, and she didn't want me to feel uncomfortable,
- 55:24which I was grateful for. Being at her mother's company
- 55:27felt almost unbearable, like walking on glass. I was glad
- 55:32when we moved three straights away so we didn't have
- 55:33to see her often. I was happy to avoid the
- 55:35woman I needed her help. I really didn't want to
- 55:39talk to her at all, but I had to talk
- 55:42to someone, and someone who knew Lynne better than I did,
- 55:45so I gripped my teeth and did what I had to. Yes,
- 55:49she answered, already sounding irritated.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Mary Anne, it's me, ben Do you have a minute
- 55:55to talk?
- 55:56Speaker 2: I asked. I could hear her cluck her tongue in irritation.
- 56:00Speaker 1: I'm in the middle of writing some checks, but if
- 56:02you insist, I suppose I can spare a moment. Was
- 56:06it that you want to discuss, Benjamin, she said coolly.
- 56:09It's about Lynn. She's been acting strangely, and I was
- 56:14wondering if you had any idea whether there was something
- 56:17I was quickly interrupted. It's a bit difficult to follow
- 56:20your rambling, Benjamin, What is that you want from me?
- 56:23She asked.
- 56:24Speaker 2: I could almost see her standing there with her thin
- 56:26sweater and slacks, tapping her fingernails impatiently on the table.
- 56:30Speaker 1: I wanted to know if you've noticed any odd behavior,
- 56:33or possibly any mental health issues.
- 56:35Speaker 2: There was a long, uncomfortable pause that I couldn't tell
- 56:38was because she was just thinking or something else. Finally,
- 56:43after a few seconds, she spoke.
- 56:45Speaker 6: Unless sure if this is one of your jokes, Benjamin.
- 56:48But if so, I don't find the humor it now.
- 56:51I do have business to attend to, as I've said,
- 56:53so if you don't mind.
- 56:55Speaker 2: She said, But I cut her off before she could
- 56:57get rid.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Of me, Mary, And it's not a joke. I'm sincerely
- 57:00concerned about Lynn's mental health. Her behavior has been very
- 57:04radical lately, and I'm very worried about her, and I figured,
- 57:06as her mother, you would be as well.
- 57:09Speaker 2: I said, the frustration evident in my voice.
- 57:11Speaker 1: If you're truly concerned that, I suggest you get the
- 57:14health professionals involved. I don't know what you expect of me,
- 57:18she snapped.
- 57:19Speaker 2: I could tell she was seconds away from hanging up,
- 57:20and for some reason, I was desperate not to let her.
- 57:23I had the feeling that she knew a lot more
- 57:25than she was letting on.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Please, if not for me, do it for Lynn.
- 57:32Speaker 2: I heard a faint, shaky intake of breath, as if
- 57:35she were trying to hold her steeply persona together.
- 57:39Speaker 1: But failing, Marian, what, Benjamin, I don't know what to
- 57:43tell you. My only advice would be to seek professional help.
- 57:46Do not call here again? Goodbye.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Tried to call out to her, but she'd hung up.
- 57:51I tried to wrap my head around the call in
- 57:53her refusal to help me, even if she didn't like me,
- 57:56Why wouldn't she want to help her own daughter. I
- 57:59couldn't understand that. I tried to replay the conversation, desperate
- 58:02to find something I missed. After a while, I almost
- 58:05gave up till I remembered her last words to me,
- 58:09seek professional help. She said those words with a bit
- 58:12of urgency. I could have just been grasping at straws,
- 58:16but no, I was sure her voice had changed ever
- 58:20so slightly when she said that, as if they were
- 58:23very important. What had she meant? I assume she'd been
- 58:28referring to medical professionals, But maybe she was referring to
- 58:30someone else, someone that she didn't, for some reason, feel
- 58:37comfortable saying directly. May maybe I was just desperate. Well,
- 58:43I feel like the mom has seen this out of
- 58:46Lynn before.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Maybe yeah, yeah, I think so.
- 58:49Speaker 2: And maybe that's why she had all of the animosity
- 58:53towards Benjamin, like when they were dating and stuff like that,
- 58:56because she didn't want Benjamin to go through it.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Perhaps, Yeah, I'm thinking that that. And because Lynn they've
- 59:02been married six years, or they've been together six years
- 59:05and married for eleven months. Yeah, and he's only seen
- 59:08her mom twice and now they leave live three states away.
- 59:11What I'm wondering is is Lynn keeping him from her
- 59:16shady past or her past self to where he didn't
- 59:19want She doesn't want him to be around Benjamin, to
- 59:22be around the uh mary Anne, because mary Anne might
- 59:26be like, hey, you don't know what you're getting yourself into.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Uh huh. Or maybe like maybe she has something that
- 59:33comes out, you know, once every ten years or something
- 59:35like that.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 59:37Speaker 2: I waited for Chris to get home, and after a
- 59:39very long and exhausting conversation with him and Rebecca, convinced
- 59:42him that Lynn truly needed psychiatric help. I didn't tell
- 59:46them everything, so prepared to go into it yet, but
- 59:48I told him about our last encounter, how she's hid
- 59:51into the bathroom peeking at me from the closet. They
- 59:54were obviously shocked, but thankfully they believe me. They too
- 59:58just wanted to help her. Still, they didn't think it
- 1:00:01was all that serious. Weird maybe, but not dangerous. They
- 1:00:06just kept saying that Lynn had to be playing some
- 1:00:08kind of weird joke.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Maybe for YouTube.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Everywhere you look everywhere.
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Nan, she's actually a very prolific YouTuber called Lennyboo
- 1:00:25seven five five.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: She's a cam girl, Benjamin.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: She's really into this thing called creep cast, and she
- 1:00:31figured if she acted strange enough, maybe you'd put it
- 1:00:33on our slash and no Sleep. Sorry. Chris didn't think
- 1:00:36we should involve the police just yet. He offered instead
- 1:00:40to go with me, and I readily accept it. He
- 1:00:43reasoned that calmly talking to her, trying to coax her
- 1:00:45into going willingly, was the best. Of course, I agreed
- 1:00:48to do it his way. At least I wouldn't be
- 1:00:51going to that house alone. We drove over this morning,
- 1:00:55just after breakfast. There was no way I was going
- 1:00:58to night. We pulled it a driveway. My stomach began
- 1:01:01doing somersaults. Her car wasn't there, but I still didn't
- 1:01:05let my guard down. The front door was ajar, and
- 1:01:08for a split second I thought we'd seen her eyes
- 1:01:10staring through the gap. I was shaking and starting to sweat. Chris, however,
- 1:01:15was fine. He waited for me to open the door,
- 1:01:18his hands in his pockets, like he was going on
- 1:01:21a stroll through the park. I envied his ignorance. I
- 1:01:25pushed the door open and was immediately hit with the
- 1:01:27stench of rot. Chris smelled it too. He walked in
- 1:01:31the house behind me with his nose scrunched up.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: One of you guys used to clean the floors around here. Shit,
- 1:01:37shut up.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: I said, my eyes darting around for any signs of
- 1:01:41blind The house was deadly quiet and dark, despite being
- 1:01:44ten in the morning. All the curtains were closed up tight,
- 1:01:48using to allow any sunlight inside. If I haven't left
- 1:01:51it just two days prior, i'd have thought the house
- 1:01:53to be abandoned. Move through each room, carefully checking any
- 1:01:57place she might hide, occasionally calling name.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: What the fuck are you looking under the couch? Are
- 1:02:03we looking for your wife?
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: He was looking at me like I was a moron.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Let's just go upstairs.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: He shook his head, but followed me up the stairs,
- 1:02:11checked the bathroom and spare bedroom. On the way up,
- 1:02:14my shoes crunched over pieces of glass that looked to
- 1:02:16be littered over a few of the steps. I noticed
- 1:02:19that one of Linn and my wedding portraits that hung
- 1:02:21on the wall along the staircase had been smashed. The
- 1:02:24frame hung crookedly, all the glass removed. I stared at
- 1:02:28the picture, the lump forming in my throat. We had
- 1:02:32taken the photo just after leaving the church after saying
- 1:02:35our vows. She looked so beautiful in her white gown.
- 1:02:39I looked at Lynn's beautiful face. I never dreamed her
- 1:02:42face would never be a source of terror for me.
- 1:02:44We climbed the rest of the steps and checked the
- 1:02:46spare bedroom, but it looked completely untouched. I was hesitant
- 1:02:52to go into the bathroom, my fear from that night
- 1:02:54coming back to me all at once. Chris noticed and
- 1:02:58offered to go in by himself, but I couldn't let
- 1:03:00him do that, so he walked in together, checking the
- 1:03:03closet and the shower. The bathroom looked as if it
- 1:03:07hadn't been touched since the night I left.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I don't think she's here, Ben. Why don't you pack
- 1:03:12some clothes and we'll should coming back tomorrow or something.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Chris said. I nodded and went into our bedroom and
- 1:03:18shoved some clothes into a devil bag. When I checked
- 1:03:20inside our closet, I came across the source of the
- 1:03:23smell and gagged. Chris took one look and lost all
- 1:03:27color in his face. He had to go stand by
- 1:03:29the stairs to get away from the side and smell.
- 1:03:33I gazed down in shock at what lay inside my
- 1:03:36bedroom closet. Soaking into the rug were at least a
- 1:03:41dozen eyeballs, all carefully laid out in pairs. Some were
- 1:03:47as large as a quarter, while others were as tiny
- 1:03:50as a marble. I stared down at the eye she
- 1:03:53collected from the small animals and wondered how she got them.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Shuddered at the thought man on a headed bed with
- 1:04:00begger shoe addiction. But fuck me, your wife's in here
- 1:04:04collecting eyeballs, then I think we should go. I'm getting nauseous.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: I would I would punch him in the face.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, you're ah, I thought my I thought my
- 1:04:18broad was with all of her weird shoes. A man
- 1:04:21shoes is legitimately a lunatic. I'm getting the hell of it.
- 1:04:24Smells like baby diapers and ship eight pal lisis are
- 1:04:28less expensive, Am I right?
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: You can get eyebells in the backyard. Ain't gotta spend
- 1:04:32the check on the missus. The old ball and shade
- 1:04:34in your hair.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you're lucky, pale? All right? I wish had eyebright.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Get some for breeze, clear that right up?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I get some for breeze. You can't go to
- 1:04:44you can't. You can't go to prison for tackling the
- 1:04:46neighborhood dog and ripping out his eyeballs. You'll be just fine.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: But you know, you know what you can't get over
- 1:04:52that price from pay Less shoes, That that receipt she
- 1:04:56brings home, am I right? But her?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: There a The one thing you can't get over is
- 1:05:01a Balenciaga receipt.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Yeah right, I'll tell you what you think. You think
- 1:05:04eyeballs are bad? How about some eye Balenciaga on over
- 1:05:07a seat you're here, Yeah, I'll tell you what.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: I grabbed my defel and shut the closet door on
- 1:05:14my new Nightmare, stepped out into the hall and took
- 1:05:16a deep breath of air. I tasted the broad of
- 1:05:19my tongue and I couldn't help the gag.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: The fuck lines of eyeballs in their closet like that.
- 1:05:25I tried to tell you she needed help. She doesn't
- 1:05:28need help. She needs a fucking exorcist, you come in
- 1:05:32to what I can't stand the smell ony.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: His words died in his throat, and his eyes grew
- 1:05:36wide with fear. I didn't ask him why. I could
- 1:05:40feel it. Someone was watching me, and I didn't think
- 1:05:43it was the eyes in the closet. I turned around
- 1:05:47my slowly scanning the bedroom. Christ I whispered as I
- 1:05:52finally saw what we missed under the bed hurled on
- 1:05:56her side, watching us with the excitement of a kid
- 1:05:59on Chris this morning was my wife. She held her
- 1:06:04hands together just under her chin, and they were shaking
- 1:06:07eagerly now that she knew she'd been found. I could
- 1:06:11hear the quiet noises. She was making a sort of
- 1:06:15hiccuping sound in her throat, as if the excitement was
- 1:06:18just too much for It was unnerving, to say the least,
- 1:06:23wide eyes in that same huge smile. Everything in me
- 1:06:28told me to run, but I forced it anyway. This
- 1:06:31was my wife, no matter how twisted, she was still
- 1:06:33the woman I married. I had to help her.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Lynn.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: She didn't respond, but her head bobbed back and forth
- 1:06:41in two quick little movements, as if she were nodding.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Baby. I just want to help Okay, can you let
- 1:06:49me do that?
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: I'd taken a single step forward, approaching her like some
- 1:06:53kind of dangerous animal. I love you, Lynn, I said, softly,
- 1:06:58taking another step closer. She let a tiny moment escape
- 1:07:01her wide open mouth, and I had to resist the
- 1:07:03urge to run. Her shoulders were starting to quiver, and
- 1:07:07her eyes grew as large as saucers. Crouched down so
- 1:07:11I could see her better and immediately saw the blood
- 1:07:15her hands were covered in it. It trembled more the
- 1:07:18closer I got, as if she were barely able to
- 1:07:20contain herself. Then. But you hurt, You're bleeding, I said.
- 1:07:27She bobbed her head again, and her bloody fingers, moving
- 1:07:30up and down as if playing an invisible piano, occasionally
- 1:07:33grazed her chin, leaving smears of blood on her skin.
- 1:07:37I wanted to recoil and disgust. The smell that was
- 1:07:40coming off of her was revolting. I could feel the
- 1:07:43vomit trying to climb up my throat. Her lips were
- 1:07:46dry and stretched thin, blood seeping between the cracks. I
- 1:07:50knew she wouldn't come out on her own, but I
- 1:07:53didn't want to leave her in the state she was in.
- 1:07:56I scooped it closer and reached out to her. The
- 1:07:59excited hiccopping sounds got louder, and her hands shook, fingers flexing.
- 1:08:04It's then that I could see the blood oozing from
- 1:08:06in between her fingers.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Oh my Godlin, you're bleeding.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Instinctively, I reached out to take her hand, but before
- 1:08:13I could even touch her, her hands sprang out towards me.
- 1:08:17Sharp pain shot through my arm and I fell back
- 1:08:19on my ass. My arm burned, and I could see
- 1:08:21the blood dripping down onto the carpet. I looked back
- 1:08:25at her and shock, and saw her grinning madly, her
- 1:08:27fingers clutching a large shard of glass.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: You all right in there. I hate Chris Chris so
- 1:08:41he's like taking all of the wind out of this
- 1:08:43really good story. It's so fucking annoying. Hey, I know,
- 1:08:46I saw those eyeballs, and you've been like you saw
- 1:08:48your dead wife. R. It's not doing okay.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I thought those shoes were bad, buddy. Anyway, let's get yo.
- 1:08:55Oh man, anyway, you all right in there. I thought the.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Bogo wings we got Buffalo wow wings were bad. But
- 1:09:02she looks crazy.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: She's right behind you, isn't she?
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Uh, Benjamin, She's right behind you, isn't she. It's like, Chris,
- 1:09:14you can see you would know.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: That you're looking at me.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: You are looking at me right now. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:19she's behind you.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Ierm ben You're gonna want to see this. I turned
- 1:09:28my head slightly nodded to him, cradling my arm to
- 1:09:31my chest. When I turned back to face Lynn, I
- 1:09:34saw that her focus had shifted. She wasn't looking at
- 1:09:37me anymore. She wasn't smiling anymore either. She was staring
- 1:09:41past me, her eyes glaring at Chris the way a
- 1:09:43hungry lion might stare in an antelope. Her mouth was
- 1:09:46still hanging open, but it was twisted into a snarl.
- 1:09:51I got on my feet and began walking backwards down
- 1:09:53the hall, afraid to take my eyes off her.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Are you bleeding?
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Chris asked, the moment the words up his mouth, Lynn
- 1:10:00started fast, scooting out from under the bed the glass yard,
- 1:10:03still on her fist.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, Chris, run.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Go, I yelled. You must have been too afraid to move,
- 1:10:09because a second later I felt my back bump into him.
- 1:10:12He was still standing at the top of the stairs,
- 1:10:14staring at the horror that was my wife. Lynn had
- 1:10:17crawled completely out from under the bed and stood in
- 1:10:20the bedroom doorway, her face twisted in rage. Her whole
- 1:10:24body was visibly tense. Blood ran down her fingers and
- 1:10:27onto the floor.
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: Jesus, Lynd, you you played hide and seek? I God,
- 1:10:40damn it, grass, God, God damn it. Oh my gosh,
- 1:10:50Jesus Lynn, you played hide and seek? Yeah?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: What the hell you doing? What is his operation?
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: WHOA? Don't go away? Look there must be that time
- 1:11:11of the month of something going a little crazy.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, bloody for what reason?
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Ew hey, pal, don't we all got him? Oh? I
- 1:11:21see some blood on her hands. I know what that means.
- 1:11:23They all get a little wacky, they all get a
- 1:11:25little eyeball, you know what I mean.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I hope Chris gets skinned alive here. He also want
- 1:11:30to say, before before Chris completely ruins this story for me,
- 1:11:34it does. If she is looking at everybody else as
- 1:11:37a threat and like threaten to kill their people, do
- 1:11:40you think that she uh was like looking at her
- 1:11:42husband with like some kind of weird demented love, then still.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: No, I think she I think so. I think happened
- 1:11:48that she's possessed, okay by something and whatever entity it
- 1:11:54is is feeding off of Ben, feeding off of fear.
- 1:11:57Fore Like, like I said earlier, parasite right, and other
- 1:12:02people can endanger that or basically give up the charade, right,
- 1:12:06because what the parasite wanted was to just spin the
- 1:12:09life of feeding off of the energy, the fear or
- 1:12:11whatever of Bin. But if someone else is there, then
- 1:12:13that ruins the charade, right, m hm, So I think
- 1:12:17that's one of those. But although that being said, she
- 1:12:21did collect the eyeballs and then stab Bin, So maybe
- 1:12:25it's like reaching some apex whatever this possession or like
- 1:12:29you know, Poltergeist did.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I didn't know if it was just over I just
- 1:12:31didn't know if it was over indulgence, like feeding so
- 1:12:35much that now you're like like just a blood rage.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Ca. Yeah, yeah, it might be. It might be uh okay, yeah,
- 1:12:40but locked in before Chris can ruin it, I reached
- 1:12:43back and pushed him towards the steps movie your ans, Chris,
- 1:12:47I said, as quietly but firmly as I could. Lin
- 1:12:50bobbed her head in fast, sharp motions and began to grin,
- 1:12:54stretching her mouth open wider and wider, so that her
- 1:12:57chin seemed to touch her chest. I heard Chris mutter prayer,
- 1:13:00and then he was running down the stairs. I stood
- 1:13:03at the top of the steps, stuck between the love
- 1:13:05for a woman who clearly needed serious help and self preservation.
- 1:13:09I really want to help, I said, choking back tears.
- 1:13:13Her eyes focused on me once again as she slowly
- 1:13:15lifted the glass, holding it out in front of her,
- 1:13:19and then she started sprinting towards me, grinning without her excitement.
- 1:13:24Bro Thankfully, my body took over and I flew down
- 1:13:28the stairs, skipping two or three at a time. I
- 1:13:30made it to the front door before I felt her
- 1:13:32leap onto my back, wrapping her arms around my neck,
- 1:13:35her open mouth next to my ear so that I
- 1:13:37could hear those terrible hiccuping sounds up close. I shook
- 1:13:42her off me, knocking her to the floor. I felt
- 1:13:44searing pain in my back as she went, but I
- 1:13:47tore open the front door and bolted to my car.
- 1:13:50Chris was standing in the front yard talking on the
- 1:13:52phone with the police. He's on the phone like she's
- 1:13:57right behind him.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: I need you to deliver this as fast as a
- 1:14:00Jimmy John Sun.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I want this hot ready or else, it's free.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Hear exactly. This is being absolutely wild. She's on screwy dewey.
- 1:14:12Get over here.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: I bring us a glass of wine and a weekend vacation,
- 1:14:18if you know what I mean. The woman's going a
- 1:14:19little stir crazy over a.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Right like, sir, what the hell are you even calling
- 1:14:24us for.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: I didn't say a word. I just ran to my
- 1:14:27car and jumped in. Chris took the hint and followed me,
- 1:14:29still on the line with nine one one. I watched
- 1:14:32the rear view mirror, sure I'd see her there running
- 1:14:35after us, but I never did. I went straight to
- 1:14:38the ear and got eleven stitches in my arm, three
- 1:14:40on my back. The police asked a lot of questions
- 1:14:42and went back to the house to do a search,
- 1:14:44but of course Lynn wasn't there. They advised me to
- 1:14:48stay with a friend or relative for a while, and
- 1:14:50to follow a restraining order as soon as I could.
- 1:14:52But none of those things would matter. Somehow, I just knew.
- 1:14:56I dropped Chris off at home and went to a
- 1:14:58hotel an hour away. Why on earth would you go
- 1:15:01to a motel? No, I don't know. Why would you
- 1:15:04go anywhere with that why would you drop Chris off,
- 1:15:09tell the police, and then go isolate yourself? Okay, all right,
- 1:15:15this is where I've been for the last four hours.
- 1:15:18I thought maybe the police would find her, maybe they'd
- 1:15:20get her the help she desperately needs. But I don't
- 1:15:23think so, because forty minutes ago I got a text
- 1:15:26from an unknown number, just three words, I found you
- 1:15:32and a picture attached. Picture was dark and grainy, but
- 1:15:35I instantly knew what it was. There was no mistaking.
- 1:15:38My wife's eye started typing this out immediately after. I
- 1:15:44don't know what to do. I'm alone and scared. I
- 1:15:47can't help but feel that I'm being watched by story.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: That's a good one. That's a good one.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: It kind of the story to me like last ten
- 1:15:58percent kind of fumble bit. Uh, but here's here's all
- 1:16:03the concept. Yeah, I think great. I mean, first, I've
- 1:16:08been spooked in a while.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: That got me.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: That got me.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: There's a lot of good stuff. I wrote some questions
- 1:16:13down throughout that I would like to discuss with you now.
- 1:16:17Now one earlier earlier in the uh in the story.
- 1:16:22I wrote this earlier in and I think that the
- 1:16:24so I wrote, does this feel more believable? More believable
- 1:16:28if they were just dating for six months and not married.
- 1:16:32I say this because because of the back and forth
- 1:16:35of if your wife was being that way, I feel
- 1:16:37like you'd be a lot more You'd be a lot
- 1:16:40more confrontational, you'd be more open to being like what
- 1:16:42is hat? Like what are you doing? Like you would
- 1:16:44you would not let something lie versus if you were
- 1:16:47dating somebody for six months, like okay, I haven't really
- 1:16:49had a girlfriend in a while. I guess this is whatever,
- 1:16:52Like I would rather be with somebody than with nobody,
- 1:16:55you know what I mean? And I know that they
- 1:16:56have the I know that they kept it being a
- 1:16:58marriage because it's like, well, of course, where she wouldn't
- 1:17:00just like leave.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: Yeah yeah right, but still you'd like, I mean, like, okay,
- 1:17:07I think I think leave the marriage part right, because
- 1:17:11you can make it be like you just got engaged
- 1:17:14or something, right, because that puts it in a middle ground,
- 1:17:18because the idea of the marriage thing is that it's
- 1:17:20too strong of a bond to separate. Because I feel
- 1:17:22like if they're just dating, then this would be grounds
- 1:17:25to be like and we broke up, you know, like to.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Me, it's like it's more about the amount of time.
- 1:17:30I mean six years, like a two year relationship, I think, sure,
- 1:17:37that's about right. I think, yeah, not super long, but
- 1:17:40not like short to the point where it's like, well,
- 1:17:43I mean I've invested this much time into this thing.
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: There would be a thing if you were dating for
- 1:17:48like two years of like a weird middle ground of
- 1:17:50like is she okay or something I think I know?
- 1:17:52Or six months is like okay, bye, But six years
- 1:17:55is like.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: What what? You You have so much more room. You
- 1:18:01have so much more room to actually be confrontational and
- 1:18:05be like like talk.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Years in a relationship. Honestly, after like four years, you're
- 1:18:09comfortable to start a fight, you know, if.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: You're past the honeymoon stage and now you're this is
- 1:18:15where the relationship actually begins.
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's like if there's an issue, you're because
- 1:18:20like before, it's like if there's an issue in your head,
- 1:18:22you're like, well, I don't want to cause any problems.
- 1:18:24But after like four years, it's like this needs to
- 1:18:27be fixed. Time to start a problem, you know, if
- 1:18:29need be, And this would absolutely be caused to start
- 1:18:32a problem, you know.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Yeah, no one hundred percent. I was The next one
- 1:18:37I had too, is was the movie Smile based.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: Off of this? How old is this story?
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Hold on, it's two years old.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: There's no way they turned Smile around that quick. Smile
- 1:18:48came out like a year ago, right, I think not officially.
- 1:18:53I think I would have heard something about that, right
- 1:18:56if it was based off creep Now it came out
- 1:18:57September thirtieth of twenty twenty two.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Okay, so these came around just like a similar time. Yeah,
- 1:19:03I mean, like creepy smiling stuff is like a pretty
- 1:19:07standard trophy thing. But it was just some of the things.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: I just there was there was some specific notes. I think, uh,
- 1:19:14but they they're they're I mean, even if they there
- 1:19:17was enough time for one to be based off the other,
- 1:19:19I think there's enough uniqueness, you know that maybe it
- 1:19:22got conceptual. There's no way, though, that the movie came
- 1:19:24off of this story, because that's just that you sure, Yeah,
- 1:19:28you can't make a film that quick.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: I was just curious. I mean, I don't think either
- 1:19:31or is like parasitic tod yeah product, Yeah, I just
- 1:19:36wrote Chris Jokes sucked, just but just made a note
- 1:19:40for that, just because that every one of them sucked
- 1:19:43up so much. I mean, is I think all of them,
- 1:19:45all of the jokes sucked. I feel like he was
- 1:19:48the He was the only thing that made the story
- 1:19:51feel a little not poorly written, but just like just unbelievable.
- 1:19:56Like and then also it's like it's just not funny.
- 1:19:58And also I just don't think you need to have
- 1:20:00that quirky character and something like something. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:20:06here's here's another thing too. What do you think about
- 1:20:09her collecting eyes? Does that feel so random or is
- 1:20:12there a correlation there besides the aspect of staring. I
- 1:20:16really can't think of, like why why eyes?
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: Well, it's got to be a staring thing, right, Well,
- 1:20:22what actually what I think it is is so when
- 1:20:24he how she keeps doing these elaborate pranks kind of
- 1:20:28of like you know, slamming the door so that she's
- 1:20:30standing in the closet. I bet she did it so
- 1:20:32that he opens the closet and there's things staring at him,
- 1:20:36like not, it's not that the eyes have a significance
- 1:20:39beyond haha, it's something else looking at you. And then
- 1:20:43she's super excited watching from under the bed like haha.
- 1:20:45Made it look at you.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Yeah, he puts an emphasis on the joke aspects that
- 1:20:49could be I almost read it at first as like, oh,
- 1:20:52is she plucking the eyes of things that are staring
- 1:20:54back at her?
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: I had that thought at first. I thought it was
- 1:20:57people's eyes and she was like a serial cop.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: Okay, animals, So yeah, it's just animals.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: But I think it's more than likely she like is
- 1:21:06getting a kick off of staring at him. So it's like, haha,
- 1:21:11made more things stare at you, you know. Yeah, Like
- 1:21:15if it's just like, oh, she's getting to the point
- 1:21:18she's killing animals, I think that's kind of lame, But
- 1:21:21as an extension of the whole staring joke, I think
- 1:21:25it works. I think that's fine.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: So the thing ends, and it's supposed to be that, oh,
- 1:21:30she found him, and that's how it ends. I think
- 1:21:34is it a better ending if when they get outside
- 1:21:37the cops have already showed up, because because Chris is
- 1:21:41called the cops to show up, and she's holding the
- 1:21:43knife and she's charging at Ben, she gets shot boom,
- 1:21:46So you don't even know what was going on with her.
- 1:21:48You're just like, what the fuck even happened? When they
- 1:21:50go back and they're figuring out what stuff going on,
- 1:21:53or Rebecca shows up to pick it up. It's like
- 1:21:55Chris hugs Rebecca whatever. And then as Benjamin looks up,
- 1:21:57Rebecca smiling because Lynn had that moment with her alone
- 1:22:02as well. So it's like passed on. That would have
- 1:22:05been a funer thing to where you were like, I
- 1:22:07don't know how that ended as inexplicable, but it doesn't
- 1:22:11end where she's like, oh, she's still out there. More
- 1:22:13so the thing has been passed on or this thing
- 1:22:16is like it's larger than her.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: Give me a second, I think, Okay, I'm not The
- 1:22:21ending's fine. It's like the standard creepypasta ending, the ending
- 1:22:25in the store.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: It's like you're saying the same as the dead girlfriend.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's your typical like, oh, it's still
- 1:22:31out there, it's going to come get me, you know whatever.
- 1:22:37Even if I think it's a bit contrived that he
- 1:22:39would make himself alone in the hotel, like no, he wouldn't,
- 1:22:43you know, Yeah, but it kind of forces to get
- 1:22:48the whole like, oh, she sent me a picture of
- 1:22:49her eyes. She's still out there. Sending a picture of
- 1:22:51the eyes kind of goofy too, Like I can't imagine
- 1:22:55a demon like holding the iPhone camera up to their
- 1:22:59eye and then like waiting for it to focus and
- 1:23:01then being like I.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Kind of read like and then it kind of reading
- 1:23:04gets that of okay, Like you know, it reminded me
- 1:23:08almost like the ending to like a Jungi Eto comic
- 1:23:12and that absurdist kind of Japanese manga storytelling kind of way,
- 1:23:17which I kind of liked, but I just feel like
- 1:23:19it's not the strongest ending. I also think that my
- 1:23:22another general complaint I maybe had is I feel like,
- 1:23:25don't include the mom section of the story. It doesn't
- 1:23:27really lead anywhere, and I don't think it like I
- 1:23:29don't think the carret that you're dangling with the story
- 1:23:32of like, oh, she knows something that we don't know.
- 1:23:34I don't know if that really leads anywhere. And I
- 1:23:36think it also just takes away from what this entity is,
- 1:23:39which at the end of the day, I think it's
- 1:23:41strongest when you don't know.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Yeah, the strongest element of the story was someone you
- 1:23:45love developing this insane joke basically, yeah, and the mother
- 1:23:52element almost explicitly said it was like demonic, right, like yeah,
- 1:23:57a professional, you know, that whole thing. Yeah, So if
- 1:24:03it had gone somewhere, probably would have been fine. But
- 1:24:06as it stands, it kind of just it gives you
- 1:24:09an out right like, oh, it's a demon, you know,
- 1:24:12and that's I don't want to feel satisfied with a
- 1:24:15creature in the way of like, oh I've I've figured
- 1:24:18it out, because the scary especially like it's unexplainable.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I was gonna say, if it's unexplainable, and
- 1:24:25especially if the format of the story that you're telling
- 1:24:27is through the social media post, I think it's better
- 1:24:30if you don't have these things where it's like, well,
- 1:24:32I better go see your mom or something. I feel
- 1:24:35like it just needs to be more self contained in
- 1:24:37that way to feel like this post is coming or whatever,
- 1:24:41and you can have this guy reaching out because he's
- 1:24:43just like I just don't know what's going on, and
- 1:24:45I feel like it's just more contained to his personal
- 1:24:47experience and he hasn't like gone out and done these things.
- 1:24:50It isn't totally unbelievable. It's just my personal preference. So
- 1:24:53I just I guess I just wanted to say that too.
- 1:24:54I think it's just my personal preference.
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: I think I think this would be a better ending.
- 1:25:00This is very pretentious to me, by the way, to
- 1:25:02be like, oh, I think what would be a better
- 1:25:04but I think something that would maybe follow through on
- 1:25:09the best. In my opinion, the best parts of the
- 1:25:11story would be if he goes over to her right
- 1:25:17out there at the house, and you can have the
- 1:25:19eye part. I think the eyepart kind of works right
- 1:25:22if you do it this way, so the eyes are
- 1:25:25there to be like, aha, it's staring at you. You
- 1:25:28could even up the stakes a bit if you want it.
- 1:25:29Maybe there's like dozens of pairs of eyes, right, and
- 1:25:32she's like standing in the corner all excited, and then
- 1:25:36he gives his whole like Lynn, I want to help
- 1:25:38you or whatever, and then you don't have the kind
- 1:25:41of horror movie ending where she chases him and like
- 1:25:44running and stabs him, because then it's just like every
- 1:25:47other horror movie creature. Right. What if instead she's just
- 1:25:51standing there like mouth open, excited and he's like, come
- 1:25:55come with me, And what if she's like still like
- 1:25:57smiling and excited, and she's like did you see my
- 1:26:00did you see my prank? Did you like it? Are
- 1:26:01you scared. Are you scared? Did you like being scared?
- 1:26:04And he was like, yeah, yeah, honey, it was really good.
- 1:26:07You got me good, and like, do you.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Think that works too? Is at the beginning, it's like,
- 1:26:13because I see what you're saying, you have like that's
- 1:26:15pretty demented and just fucking like mentally weird, you know,
- 1:26:19like I like that like kind of psychological ending. Do
- 1:26:21you think that it all starts off with? Then of
- 1:26:23them him, of him pranking her at the beginning, he's like,
- 1:26:27it was a helpless prank and like that's the thing
- 1:26:29that triggered this like response all does.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: That almost makes it too defined of like oh well,
- 1:26:37she just snapped on it. I think it makes it
- 1:26:40a bit scarier if she just started doing this and
- 1:26:43you don't know why, like there's not really an explanation.
- 1:26:46And then she's like did you see it? Did you
- 1:26:48like that? Because the one thing she says is like
- 1:26:49maybe I've gotten better at it, so maybe there at
- 1:26:51the end she says something like I'm really good at this,
- 1:26:54Like I've gotten really good at this, and he's like, yeah, babe,
- 1:26:56you are you know, I love you, And then he
- 1:26:58takes her to be committed and she goes into like
- 1:27:04she goes into a mental health facility, and he was like,
- 1:27:07I go to visit, but she won't really talk to me.
- 1:27:11The doctors have told me not to bring up what
- 1:27:13has anything specific about the peaking or whatever, because they're
- 1:27:16afraid that might agitate her. So I try to small
- 1:27:19talk with her about life and stuff like that, but
- 1:27:21it doesn't really go anywhere.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: Yeah, when I visit her, she just sits under the
- 1:27:26table and peaks at me from up under.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: The Yeah, like she's not getting better, Like it's.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: Just getting work.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: It's but there's no abject danger to it. It's just
- 1:27:37the unknowingness of why can't my wife be helped, you know,
- 1:27:41what's going on?
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: The uncanny nature of like this mental deterioration, which I
- 1:27:45think too, is just unbelievably horrifying as well. I'm curious
- 1:27:48what people have to say, like what people think of
- 1:27:50the ending and what people have maybe you know, do
- 1:27:53you agree with what we're saying, do you like the
- 1:27:55ending and how it is. I'm kind of curious to
- 1:27:56see what people say from there.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: There's a few ways you could end it. You could
- 1:28:00end it with just him writing about what happened is
- 1:28:03like this was a weird scenario. You could have her die,
- 1:28:06maybe somehow in the mental health facility, like you know,
- 1:28:09she does it herself or something like that. You could
- 1:28:12have her if you really want to have a monster
- 1:28:14in and you could have her escape or something and
- 1:28:16you don't know where she's at. You could have like
- 1:28:18a little ending where he has some like normal interaction
- 1:28:25with a person in public, maybe another relationship, maybe just
- 1:28:30someone in public who he thinks was maybe peeking at him.
- 1:28:34But it could also just be a normal scenario, you know,
- 1:28:37but he's so paranoid now he can't trust anyone. Something
- 1:28:40like that.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: I think the best way to end it would be Benjamin,
- 1:28:45in a fit of rage in a rainy night, shows
- 1:28:49up at Chris Jones's house or Chris Chris's house and
- 1:28:51just shoots him three times in the chest, and that's
- 1:28:53how it ends. Chris opens the door and like you're like, oh,
- 1:28:59this is horrible. I mean, he's not really going to
- 1:29:01do this, is he? But then Chris The first thing
- 1:29:02Chris says is cal bunga with a question mark, which
- 1:29:05doesn't even make sense. And then Benjamin's just like, God,
- 1:29:08get just.
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: The shotgun directly into his face. Yeah, boom, and.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: The smiles, and that's how the curse gets transferred over.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: You could have an ending. Okay, so imagine, Okay, let's
- 1:29:18rewind a bit. He takes her to the mental health
- 1:29:20facility and then he was like, that was yesterday, so
- 1:29:23she's still in the health facility. Whatever. He was like,
- 1:29:25I drove over to talk to Chris about it tonight
- 1:29:27and I noticed Rebecca was looking at him from the
- 1:29:30from the bedroom window.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so I think I think having it passed on
- 1:29:34to Rebecca after after we have that thing where Lynn
- 1:29:39has talked to Rebecca. Yes, he was sleeping, like something
- 1:29:43happened there. I think it just sets it up for
- 1:29:45a great continuation of it and like or even like
- 1:29:47not continuation, but like, oh passed on and this is
- 1:29:50where did it go. Yeah, and somebody must have had
- 1:29:53this interaction with Lynn as well. I think that's just
- 1:29:55like a fun way to go about it too, And
- 1:29:57I'm curious with it. That's not to say that this
- 1:29:59is bad in now, No, I'd like you. I think
- 1:30:03I think the verbiage of this would be a better
- 1:30:05ending is probably not correct. I think it was that
- 1:30:09I would have written it, which isn't by no means
- 1:30:13a like perfect. I'm not the arbiter of good writing
- 1:30:17by any means, of.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: Course, I think it. I think it worked well.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: I love had a great time.
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: I did have a great time. I thought that one
- 1:30:25line was insanely good. Uh, maybe I've just gotten better
- 1:30:28at it. Yeah, that was so good. I thought the
- 1:30:30whole bathroom section was fantastic. That was great.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but the bathroom is definitely the highlight. That the
- 1:30:36beautiful tension race from there, and just like the kind
- 1:30:39of anticipation of waiting, I think that that was all
- 1:30:41really done really well. I also just liked Benjamin too
- 1:30:44as a main character. I liked him. I think that's like,
- 1:30:47I think you did everything like in a believable good way.
- 1:30:51I just felt bad for him. I think that. I think, Yeah,
- 1:30:54as a protagonist in a horror story, I don't think
- 1:30:56you could be much better.
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: So yeah, I don't know.
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: Curious y'all think let's know what you think down below
- 1:31:02and be sure to uh yeah, I guess just keep
- 1:31:05the suggestions. And this is a good suggestion.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: You know what you guys did good this time? So
- 1:31:09that is one four or five. I think how many
- 1:31:12of how many of that?
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: I won't hold it against him.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: Tafy. Okay, so that one like that, I'm not.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: Gonna I'm not even gonna bring up the word again.
- 1:31:24I don't want us to be crucialiy.
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: I am going to I have access to this channel,
- 1:31:29So I am going to make an entire Tommy Taffy
- 1:31:33like parts three and four episode.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: You're gonna, Yeah, it's gonna be basically fan fiction, the
- 1:31:39same way that like fanaf gets fan fiction and Tommy Taffy,
- 1:31:42I'm sure.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: People, And it's gonna be Hunter like. It's gonna be
- 1:31:45like at the ending, it's like I've I've got like
- 1:31:48a cigar in my mouth and I'm like out of AMMO,
- 1:31:50and there's hundreds of Tommy Taffy's and Hunters like laid
- 1:31:53on my feet in like a white dress like Isaiah,
- 1:31:56what are we gonna do? And I'm like, we're gonna
- 1:31:58keep killing or whatever, And that's how it is, too. Yeah.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: The first video of mine is going to be the
- 1:32:02Rise and Fall of Wind again.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: OK. Yeah, that's cool.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: And then I'm gonna have that.
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna make a video that's actually talking about how
- 1:32:09if we analyze Meet Canyon's cartoon history. We can actually
- 1:32:11see a history of alt right supremacism throughout his works
- 1:32:15and these, uh, these total.
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: You team up with the guy who did who made
- 1:32:19the video on you to make it on me.
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: It's both of us standing in front of a green screen.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like, what the hell is like, what are
- 1:32:30you doing?
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: The enemy of my enemy is my friend?
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: Me is my friend exactly. That's the first line, is
- 1:32:37the first line in quotes by some guy.
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: I mean, like we're both in pre scarb, like we
- 1:32:44have to stop him. All right.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: Well, I think that does it for our episode today.

- 1:33:12but to support me and I appreciate it, So that's right,
