Manuel Hernandez, the 46-year-old captain of the overloaded boat that capsized in New York Harbor and killed mother Sara Sanchez and her infant daughter Antonella, is now in federal custody—possibly facing deportation to El Salvador. The vessel, carrying 14 people far beyond its capacity of 9-10, sank on August 8th.
