Latest / Podcast - Big 98.7 / What Your Sleeping Positions Say About Your Relationship
Transcript
- 0:03You did. You did not prepare me for savage garden. One can truly
- 0:09never be prepared for savage garden. Man. That looks very you know,
- 0:13because I was talking about laying with somebody forever. The way you lay together
- 0:18can say a lot about your relationship. You know that. The way you
- 0:21and your partner sleep in the bed. Okay, yeah, somebody put together
- 0:25this list, which may or may not be taken seriously. Like number one,
- 0:29they say, sleeping close together. Now, Amanda, you and Nick
- 0:31you gotta sleep in the same bed. Correct, you're not sleep divorced.
- 0:34No, we sleep in the same bead. Okay, well you ding ding
- 0:36when I get the right one. Okay, sleeping close together? What that
- 0:40says about your relationship. The closer you are in bed, the more secure
- 0:44your relationship is. You feel comfortable being physically close to your partner both in
- 0:48bed and that's outside of the bedroom. And also bonus points, they say
- 0:52if you keep your butts touching the entire night. We used to be very
- 0:56very close and then yeah we were talking, but the butts. Oh yeah,
- 1:00so I used to do this thing. So I would go underneath his
- 1:03arm, snuggle in real tight. God, I'd have my arm. I
- 1:07always put my hand on his chest, up his shirt. It was like
- 1:11this weird like going up his shirt shirt. It's my eighth grade self,
- 1:15like right on his heart. My hand would be. Then I would be
- 1:19there for probably three minutes. He'd always laugh at me. This is a
- 1:22thing. I then flip over, push my butt out, like I don't
- 1:26want to be next to you, but I'd still be touching him. Now,
- 1:30we have two kids, and you know one of them, if not
- 1:34both, end up in our bed just about every night. Well from the
- 1:37sounds of it, at any given time, you might have as many as
- 1:38six people and animals in your bed. No, no, no, maybe
- 1:42that's not the official count. Number two though. They say if you're sleeping
- 1:45facing away from each other, it says that independence is important to have in
- 1:49your relationship. And that's to me, that's kind of how we do it,
- 1:53my wife and I in our bed, I do that. My husband's
- 1:57kind of a back sleeper, sprowler, but he sleeps on his way a
- 2:00starfish on its back kind of yeah really, uh huh. Sometimes he'll snuggle
- 2:05over to the side, but for the most part he's just he just flopping
- 2:07laying there what's that The confidence of the kind? I mean, that's to
- 2:12me, that says he's just totally comfortable, he's just ready to I want
- 2:15to see the real Is there an actual you? Just a video? Oh?
- 2:21You want me to show you what I'm imagining? Nick sleeping like no
- 2:23picture of starfish flopp. I thought you had some studies over there. Now
- 2:27you're just making up, just just sleeping away from each other. It's pretty
- 2:30self explanatory. I don't think I need to get a die you gramm out.
- 2:32That's how we sleep. And it's only because I trained myself years ago,
- 2:36Amanda, to be able to sleep always facing the outside of the mattress
- 2:39because of my night breath in my morning breath. And I feel like I'm
- 2:43not alone in that. But I just like would hate to subject anybody to
- 2:46that, you know what I mean, especially early on if you're looking to
- 2:49have somebody sleep over a second time. You don't want to make the morning
- 2:54I just experience at your personal Airbnb miserable. Also, now this is where
- 3:00it kind of gets off the rails a little bit. What your sleeping position
- 3:02says about your relationship. Your partner is spooning a third person in the bed.
- 3:08I'm sorry, Well you heard that right. If they are certain couples
- 3:13may or may not end up adding another body to the bed, and in
- 3:15that case, your partner has his bed. Okay, So they're probably talking
- 3:21about kids. Well, it's up to interpretation. So my there are all
- 3:25kinds. My daughter is a huge fan of sleeping with us, and so
- 3:30she is she's the mouth. Her mouth is like right up in my How
- 3:35do kids have bad breath? I don't even know. Yes, yeah they
- 3:37do. It's really funny because they did it like it's an old man.
- 3:39Oh, it's kind of like a puppy thing, like if it's like,
- 3:42oh, cute puppy breath. And then like kids, oh, you don't
- 3:44have bad breath. And I'm like, seriously, like, go get your
- 3:47face out of here. Do they brust their own teeth? Oh? Yeah,
- 3:51see the kids. You can't trust kids to do anything when it comes
- 3:53to that, you know, right, I mean yeah, at night I
- 3:55go in and I'm like trying to really get those sugar bugs out of here
- 4:00for them. Help they Now, do they use listerine? The kiddos?
- 4:02No, I'll get them a good mouth, got a good alcohol face?
- 4:06Yet for the mouthwash. They'll be swallowing it. Bike there's some kid toothpaste
- 4:12and stuff too. You know, those little bodies will be blown a point
- 4:15too by the time it's trending. Now here's what you need to know the
- 4:20yikes. Almost a hundred people have reportedly been infected with salmonila, and of
- 4:25forty five I guess have been hospitalized to deaths in Minnesota, all because of
- 4:29a widespread outbreak connected to whole and cut cantelope. The CDC says that it's
- 4:33affected thirty two stands. So if you have any candlope, break now,
- 4:38either toss it, look at it. I yikes, yeah, thankfully.
- 4:42I generally just put my candleope in the garbage. You're not a candlope guy,
- 4:46you know, just those like arrangement of fruit. It's like, give
- 4:47me strawberries and pineapples, hostmailon can. It's just filler. I just love
- 4:53that. But when you get a good candlope that's nice and juicy and you
- 4:57add a little do you have a add salt to it kind of like water?
- 5:00Are you insane? Oh my gosh, so good. I don't want
- 5:02to entice you to buy a candaalope right now. Because there's an issue.
- 5:05But I'm just shouldn't we If it's nice and juicy, then is that an
- 5:10exception? Is that a sign it doesn't have salmonella? I don't know what
- 5:13to believe. Just check check your cantelopes? What are we checking for?
- 5:17Well, you're I'm not gonna do you want me to go through the codes
- 5:20and all this stuff there? I'm genuinely asking, how would I know that
- 5:25a candalyp has salmonella? What would indicate that to me? There's gonna be
- 5:30a product code and okay, I don't want to do. You to issue
- 5:34the numbers so you would know it's recall f m ao is. But in
- 5:41general, if they hadn't recalled it, there's nothing that would tell you that
- 5:44salmonella. No, no, it's not like a pinkish hue, say salmonilla
- 5:49on it. You got it open and it's like, surprise, I've got
- 5:54salmonilla in here. Little flag pops up. There's a little man in there
- 5:57telling them. The fact we're making light of salmonilla and catalope is frightening.
- 6:02But anyway, I think we got the point across. Get rid of it.
- 6:08I would just be safe and just throw it all out. Today is
- 6:10Giving Tuesday, and one way to give back is through the Big ninety eight
- 6:13point seven Christmas Wish Program. You know, we do it all year long.
- 6:15We like to amp it up a little bit through the holidays, but
- 6:17we couldn't do this without your help, the community giving back to the Christmas
- 6:21Wish Program. Therefore, we're able to help families. First of all,
- 6:25if you know somebody who's going through a really hard time right now, go
- 6:28to Big nine eight seven dot com and nominate them for a Christmas Wish,
- 6:30because we are going to be granting a lot of wishes through the holiday season.
- 6:33Now, if you want to donate, you can get to our Facebook
- 6:36page right now, there's a donate button. Click on that. That money
- 6:40goes directly to a family that will be helping out. We don't keep a
- 6:43dollar of it. If you're thinking, you know what, I want to
- 6:45have a little fun, I want to see Santa Claus, and I want
- 6:47to help out. We've got the PJ Party coming up on Saturday, yes,
- 6:50nine to eleven at Sweet Shots, and tickets are going fast. People
- 6:53are realizing that for only ten bucks you're gonna be able to a meet Santa
- 6:56Claus with the whole family, get the photo take and not pay any extra
- 6:59for the photo. You don't have to wear matching jammies, but it's a
- 7:01pajama part I strongly encourage. Yeah. You're also gonna be able to have
- 7:04a nice hot breakfast, delicious food from Sweet Shots and Cisco. And we're
- 7:09gonna have golf bays open, so you know, of course Sweet Shots.
- 7:11It's outdoor driving range that's heated, so you don't have to worry about that.
- 7:15You can whack some golf balls. They're gonna have some fun games.
- 7:16I know. I'm working right now on putting together the cute little Santa list
- 7:19so that people can write what they want to give to Santa. There's gonna
- 7:23be some coloring sheets. My kids are really excited, Pike, because you're
- 7:28coming with a whole setup so that we can watch two d Tae and they
- 7:30can have a little dance party area too. It's just gonna be a vibe.
- 7:33It's gonna be hold. It's gonna be sick, as the kids might
- 7:35say. Yeah, ticket's only ten bucks, but you can get them right
- 7:39now. You can make your donations and you can nominate for giving Tuesday at
- 7:42big ninety eight to seven dot com and I only had to talk about this
- 7:45because you thought that the airlines were just Razins Pike. But almost three million
- 7:48passengers were screened at American airports on Sunday, the highest number in a single
- 7:54day. Well, no, I just said every before Thanksgiving they'll go they're
- 7:58expecting the biggest travel year ever. It's like, well, yeah, they
- 8:01say that every year, and I'm sure it is, but it's just it
- 8:03just it was more of me saying I don't care. I guess so you
- 8:09don't care, and I'm gonna bring it up, bring it up again.
- 8:11So how big was it? Did they say? Yeah? Almost three million
- 8:16passengers? That was a ton of passengers. Heck, what was last year?
- 8:20Two million? All Right, I gotta calmm down, Sorry you do.
- 8:24I don't know why, but actually pretty shocking. Although nine hundred flights
- 8:26were delayed, only three were canceled out of Chicago, and that's usually the
- 8:31hub that a lot of them are canceled out. Yeah, historically that's a
- 8:35that's a tough airport. You know, even going back to the nineties when
- 8:37Kevin McCalister not at their wrong airplane. Just you just never know. Be
- 8:45easy to get lost there you're running through. You gotta get there. Early
- 8:48eight years old, was able to board a plane, the wrong plane,
- 8:52an unaccompanied niner here his family was headed to Paris, and he gets on
- 8:56a plane headed straight to New York City, one of the large cities in
- 9:00the world, by himself. What ended up happening? Oh, it's a
- 9:03crazy story. How much time? And I think we've got all morning,
- 9:07Pike. I can't wait to see how it ends. Of all the cities
- 9:11in the world, you wouldn't believe the two guys he ran into. Yeah,
- 9:16some familiar foes, I'll tell you that much. Wet Bandits, oh
- 9:20God, aka the Sticky Bandits one of the worst crime teams. Enough with
- 9:24your home alone, nonsense, all right? Weatherwise, today it's going to
- 9:26be sunny, little bit of wind, height of about thirty eight right now,
- 9:30though it is Chili's still like one below with the wind chill. I'm
- 9:33just saying, if you're a flight attendant or you work at an airport and
- 9:35you're listening, I mean, my god, just make sure you like completely
- 9:37identified the boy's father before you let him on the plane, and not just
- 9:41look at like you know lazily. Look at his backside. Oh yeah,
- 9:43it looks like his jacket. By the way, A shout out to them,
- 9:46because growing up I was an n accompanied minor. I'd go back and
- 9:48forth between and they were always so good. Sometimes the flight attendant would take
- 9:52me up that sounds really weird, into like a secret room area like in
- 9:58Minneapolis, and they'd have like tree, some movies. Yeah. I was
- 10:03never lured into that room, but it sounds like a good time. And
- 10:07one other warning before we move on. I would not worry about the batteries
- 10:11till you get on the airplane. That's that's it's not about. Yeah,
- 10:15that's not a priority when you're running late for your flam anyway, take in
- 10:18Amanda in the morning. Seven. If you were back home or wherever you
- 10:22celebrated Thanksgiving, you might have some family that fits into the Generation Z category
- 10:28or we're talking like teenagers early twenties totally, and you probably heard some things
- 10:33that age you immediately, right when you hear a phrase or word and you're
- 10:35like, I don't know what that is. You know what I mean.
- 10:39It happened to me a lot because my wife Lauren has like some younger siblings
- 10:41who are like seventeen and eighteen. Yeah, and they're just like prime YouTube
- 10:45TikTok saying these things and they're giving us lessons. I'm like what they mean
- 10:48and yeah, like I said, I felt like I was a thousand years
- 10:52old. Yeah, because we've talked about some of them, like is oh
- 10:56that slaps? Is that still a thing? See, you feel old when
- 11:00you feel like I'm just getting too saying slaps, But that to me indicates
- 11:03that it's surely it's all way way cast it. I know my niece and
- 11:07nephew they go over to DGF and every time we get together and they great
- 11:11school. I know, you'd be affecular school. They say things and sometimes
- 11:16I'm like, are they messing with me? Like they want me? I
- 11:18try to use it a word and they look at me like don't yeah,
- 11:20like don't even go there. Really yeah. They for example, the youngest
- 11:24one, the seventeen year old, was giving us all lessons on how to
- 11:26not text like a dad, you know, saying things like just k or
- 11:31okay period or just ending any text with a period. I see, I
- 11:35feel like my husband and I text like a dad really yeah, sometimes back
- 11:41and forth yeah or a thumbs up. Oh that was the biggest, the
- 11:43biggest violator, a single thumbs up, and it gets me. It's so
- 11:48annoying. It's like, geez, just slap me in the face. You
- 11:50might as well. There's a new word, though, a new gen z
- 11:52slang word that is taken over social media that I want to inform you about
- 11:56in case you hear it and you go, huh, guy at guy out
- 12:00guy. First of all, are we sure you're saying this right on,
- 12:03Amanda, I'm very I am very cool. Guy yacht like guy at g
- 12:07y a t t okay. It's not like well in a way, and
- 12:16it essentially means gosh dang, as if let's say, an attractive person was
- 12:20walking by my god dang you yeah you got ya wow. And so,
- 12:26of course I've never heard this. I was gonna say so next time I'm
- 12:31out and about, oh yeah, prancing through Costco and somebody goes, yea,
- 12:35you know, well hang on, we're getting a phone call. I'm
- 12:39afraid of what this is gonna be. Good morning, who's this, Jenny?
- 12:41What's going on? Well, you were saying guy yacht, right,
- 12:46I said something like that. I was saying guyacht do you have a correction,
- 12:50I'm assuming yeah, it's actually yacht and it means like your butt,
- 12:54your butt, Oh my gosh, like a rear end. So pike,
- 12:58you were giving us fake in for this whole time. I'll be honest,
- 13:01I could have researched the pronunciation a little more. So it's not guyat,
- 13:05it's what no, yeah, yeah, yeah, Jenny, if you don't
- 13:09mind me asking how old are you thirteen thirteen yacht age. If you don't
- 13:15mind using this in a sentence, that would be great. I don't know,
- 13:18like if you're just walking by somebody and they see that you have a
- 13:20big butt, they'll just yell yeah, a big button. Oh jeez,
- 13:24I will never hear this ever. This is too sad and is lacking in
- 13:30the yacht department. And Amanda in the morning on Big seven, are you
- 13:35ready? Let's see it is piping hot today and now Amanda stills the sea,
- 13:43let's see. So I saw probably five or six baby announcements on my
- 13:46news feed through the holiday season. Super cute from you know, we're expecting
- 13:52a little Turkey in a few months, or I'm super thankful because we're having
- 13:56a baby, or guess who got stuffed. Yeah. No, they're a
- 14:00fun T shirt. That's the turkey. Yeah, all the Thingspike. No,
- 14:03there's any number of options Thanksgiving thing. But anyway, who made a
- 14:07big announcement, Well, Paris Hilton. We found out over the weekend that
- 14:11she secretly had a second child, so we know she went through a surrogate.
- 14:15Again. I'm like, okay, that's super sweet. But what I
- 14:16did not know is she didn't even tell her family. She rolled up Thanksgiving
- 14:22Day and told them that she had a performer, So everybody thought there was
- 14:26going to be a magician, which is also weird. You're just bringing a
- 14:28magician to Thanksgiving? I know, would you even welcome that and be like,
- 14:31uh no, we're not going to bring some circus man into my home
- 14:35on the holiday. I guess if you have a lot of kids, great,
- 14:39okay, Paris, you've got a ton of money, and you guys
- 14:41have a magician on Thanksgiving. No, she walks in with a pink blanket
- 14:45and a baby, and everybody went, wh what a bait? Well,
- 14:50yeah, did the baby perform a number? No? I think the baby
- 14:54was didn't do any pull any rabbitizer as well, except that we've got another
- 14:58baby in the I mean cute, but also whoa so over the top.
- 15:03You don't get many opportunities to have a big surprise like that. Oh that's
- 15:07cool, I like it, No, it's I'd still be waiting for a
- 15:09magician if I was the family, but probably like you know, there's a
- 15:13one knee sitting there. She's like, cool, but I thought that you
- 15:16were where's the performance? Speaking behind the baby carrier? So where's the guy?
- 15:22The guy's coming? Still ride and Taylor Swift? She touchdown in Kansas
- 15:26City. I really love it. Boy, this girl is obsessed. Yeah
- 15:31she is. Well traps couldn't go to see the second she can. She
- 15:33just gets on a plane right to Kansas City, Missouri. I also think
- 15:39about that. I know all the NFL markets that you could head a boyfriend
- 15:43and you're just in the dead center of the country. She would never have
- 15:45been caught there in any other six situation, just hanging out in Chief's territory.
- 15:48Don't know how long she's gonna be there. I'm guessing a couple of
- 15:52days before he has to really hunker down because he's headed to Green Bay.
- 15:56Is she gonna go? I mean, I was trying to think is there
- 15:58any It really doesn't matter if her and Brittany Mahomes are still friends, just
- 16:03hopping with her there? Why not a girl's weekend in Green Bay? Well,
- 16:07she got something going on. But I mean, Taylor's ever had cheese
- 16:11curds? That's Amanda. I couldn't say, do you, I don't know.
- 16:15I feel like she's a girl's like, there's gonna be like the Instagram
- 16:18reveal, she's like, first time with ge Oh my gosh, I've never
- 16:22had cheese curds. These are amazing, Amanda, Green Bay so much mo.
- 16:26It's not just all cheese curds and Super bowls Okay, Oh more than
- 16:30that going on. By the way, I totally forgot about this. I
- 16:33saw this over the weekend. Brittany Mahomes. You know how everybody was digging
- 16:37up Travis Kelsey's old tweets. Yeah, Brittany mahomes old tweets. Uh tweets
- 16:41are bashing Taylor Swift. A couple of them are. No. I mean,
- 16:45this is like fourteen years ago, and you got to think she was
- 16:48probably fourteen at the time. But can Taylor write anything more than just old
- 16:52boyfriends? Though? Oh, it's such low hanging fruit. Yes, I
- 16:55mean so nothing over the top, but enough that made me giggle because I'm
- 17:00going, how are you going to explain that? If your tailor? You
- 17:03have to even if you're just kidding, because you got to understand, just
- 17:06bring it up and just be dead seriously about it, be like, hey,
- 17:08what the heck is this? Explain this? Britney Right, and Mark
- 17:12Wahlberg, you think he's probably one of the most disciplined actors in Hollywood.
- 17:18Well you don't look at the guy and think, well, there's an undisciplined
- 17:19man. It's like him in the Rock. They're kind of up there with
- 17:22that. Well, he said, he's not even close to what his thirteen
- 17:25year old daughter is actually like. She's way more disciplined than me. He
- 17:27said, I wasn't that way until I was in my thirties. But she
- 17:30is doing the work. He went on to say that she wants to be
- 17:36an Olympian. I always thought that the Patriots going to the Super Bowl was
- 17:38the most nerve wracking experience I've ever had. Nope, there's nothing like watching
- 17:42my daughter on a horse. So I was thinking about this. I should
- 17:47have looked this up. Is she an equestrian like that or are we thinking
- 17:51like a gymnastics horse? What I'd have to learn more about gymnastics horse?
- 17:56What is that? And that the where you run and go over the horse.
- 18:00The vault like using the horse is kind of like the vault the pull
- 18:04the eye. Isn't that vault? The vault the pummel horse? Is that
- 18:07what you're thinking of? The pumb horse? Okay, so that's not going
- 18:10to be an actual This is going to shock you. I was not not
- 18:12a gymnast. You don't strike me as a horse girl either. It like
- 18:18in a minute in the morning on Big nuety eight point seven. You know,
- 18:22Merriam Webster, it's your favorite dictionary, isn't it. Yeah? Of
- 18:26course my big go too. Yeah. Well they've revealed the twenty twenty three
- 18:30word of the year. All right at that time, it's the end of
- 18:33the year. I gotta be honest, I just lied to you. Dictionary
- 18:34dot com has been my real go to. Yeah, I know, after
- 18:38all these years, got rid of that hard copy, been going to the
- 18:41wole internet. The word of the year, any any guess doesn't any care
- 18:45to take a hack at it? I mean last year for reference twenty twenty
- 18:48two, the word of the year it was gas lighting. Oh okay to
- 18:52kind of like a new entry into our vocabularies. Gosh, what could it
- 18:56be? What the heck? I'll tell you. Okay, are you ready.
- 18:59The ord of the year of twenty twenty three, according to Miriam Webster's
- 19:03Dictionary, is got it's too long a drum roll. Uh huh. Authentic
- 19:10authentic command. Be your authentic self, authentic self, authentic cuisine, authentic
- 19:15voice, authenticity. That's what it's all about, Amanda. Yeah, I
- 19:19love this. It's to be real, not false or imitation. I love
- 19:26a good authentic person. I feel like I'm allergic to people who aren't being
- 19:29authentic because you can just tell even if you don't know the person. For
- 19:33example, I really struggle and I know, like customer service voice is a
- 19:37thing, but like if you're at a restaurant, the server, like,
- 19:41I just want you to be yourself, just be a you can be kind,
- 19:45you know what I mean. You can be a certain over the top
- 19:48the voices that people put on as a server. That we had breakfast the
- 19:52other day and the lady came up and she was so so nice, Amanda,
- 19:56but I could just tell that. She like probably had this straight face
- 20:00before she walked up to her boots. She was like psyching herself out in
- 20:03the me You're like slapping her face, don't time, Oh no, put
- 20:04it on, come on, here we go. And then you come up
- 20:07and you like, hi, everybody, how are we doing today? I'm
- 20:10like, do you go talk to your friends like that? Are you really
- 20:11nice? Are gonna walk back in the kitchen and use that same voice?
- 20:15I don't think so. So I feel like I talk the same way,
- 20:18but apparently when I do get in front of a microphone, it's just like
- 20:22on a little bit. Oh yeah, you got this radio thing, but
- 20:25don't you absolutely not. Once upon a time, I think in this business
- 20:30people struggle with authenticity all the time because you know, you think you're supposed
- 20:33to be this certain way on the radio. And it's like any job you
- 20:36maybe like grow up in the industry learning from somebody and you think, well,
- 20:40that's how I gotta do it. I gotta do it how that person
- 20:41did it. But then you just find yourself not being yourself. And to
- 20:45me, there's just no worse thing. I know. I feel like I'm
- 20:48pretty myself. Oh mean I'm just saying, sometimes you talk a certain way
- 20:51well, and I think that's just like as soon as, for instance,
- 20:53if we're like doing a live broadcast somewhere, I'll be talking to you and
- 20:56I feel like I'm talking like this. I mean, for example, if
- 21:00I brought up our PJ party on Saturday and said, nobody said a Maana,
- 21:03tell me about the PJ party, it would be like special time.
- 21:08Let me try me in the most casual again, authentic the word of twenty
- 21:14twenty three, tell me about the PJ party. So we have this my
- 21:19favorite. This is before I know exactly what you're gonna say, but go
- 21:22ahead. So it's the first ever PJ party. It's coming up on Saturday
- 21:26at Sweet Shots. Super excited about it. It's only ten dollars and that
- 21:32is gonna not only get you your picture with Santas for the low low price
- 21:36of ten dollars, which is a thing you would say in a conversation,
- 21:37Oh here come Santa Claus hot free breakfast, thanks to our friends at Cisco
- 21:44in Sweet Shots. There you go. See, that's that's not authentic saying
- 21:47thanks to our friends over at It's just like that just screams commercial to me,
- 21:52I'm just eeasing. You're good. You're very authentic. Some people are
- 21:53not even like, you know, just being around certain people, you just
- 21:56find yourself acting a certain way. Young people especially like it's just be yourself.
- 22:00Don't try to impress people, don't try to be cool. Tell you
- 22:03I have got And I think it comes in age. I remember a lot
- 22:06of people when I was growing up, was like, you'll just get to
- 22:08a point. And I feel like it's truly after you have kids. Yeah,
- 22:11not that you don't care, but you don't. But you don't,
- 22:15you really don't. You're just hey, this is what what you see is
- 22:18what you get. You know, it's it's sometimes you show more sunshine and
- 22:22rainbows, but I also like to show it's not perfect. It's not and
- 22:26that's okay to show that. But then at the same time, I have
- 22:30this conversation with myself, like, oh, just be like when you're posting
- 22:33something, for example, yeah, if you like writing the caption now and
- 22:34you're like, well, this is what I would say if I was just
- 22:37at the bar with my friends. But now is that while authentic, is
- 22:42it appropriate for the mass? Probably not? Go go ahead, I just
- 22:45gotta tell you. You know, you were just talking about me not being
- 22:48authentic. It must have. Really. The reason I'm saying this is because
- 22:52Josh, thank you for just buying tickets to the PG bar. Oh Josh,
- 22:59he did. He bought some tickets and I think he's bringing the kids
- 23:00on Saturday, so we appreciate you. Only a limited supplies gets left called
- 23:07out like it a minute in the morning. Come on, get up on
- 23:11Big seven. It's Soliday season, low season. Fine, it is a
- 23:17time where you can start decorating without the judgment of the rest of the world
- 23:21because it's after Thanksgaving. Oh my god, December first starin is down the
- 23:25throat here right, Yeah, but some things that you want to actually consider
- 23:27when you're decorating, not just safety, but just like decorating in general.
- 23:32Okay, and I know you've already put as you refer to it as Christmas
- 23:36up oh gap at your house, not completely though, Okay, Yeah,
- 23:40well, these are still some notes you'll want to heed then, like,
- 23:41for example, neglecting safety issues you want to be careful, like how many
- 23:45lights it's safe to plug in and also how long you can leave the lights
- 23:49on without causing a fire. Yeah, an electrical issue. I don't know
- 23:53if you saw this video. It was going viral the last couple of days.
- 23:56There was a guy who was a celebrity site and he drives by Calabasas
- 24:02next to all the celebrities like Conan O'Brien, the Kardashians, a bunch of
- 24:06them are there and everybody has like, of course, not in comparison to
- 24:11what we have, beautiful lights up. And then you get to Kim Kardashian's
- 24:14house and these are like the brightest white of lights, like you couldn't sleep
- 24:18at night if you live next door, just feel like a constant hum.
- 24:21Yeah. Really, it's just crazy to me. And you know what I
- 24:23mean, They're just really bright. And her house hasn't burned down. No,
- 24:27well that's good to know, because we got like a few on a
- 24:30railing outside and it's like, you know, I like, I say,
- 24:32leave them on because I'm not going to remember to plug him in every night.
- 24:34Wait, so you leave him on even during the day. Oh yeah,
- 24:37I'm a real sicko like that, a real Christmas sicho. Also,
- 24:41we got a little Christmas tree in the in the kitchen, as you know,
- 24:45like a foot and a half tall tree. I leave that bad boy
- 24:48lit up too. So one of my favorite things is to keep the Christmas
- 24:52tree on as soon as it gets dark. And I would love to have
- 24:55the Christmas tree on still when I walk downstairs at you know, four o'clock
- 24:59in the morning. My husband unplugs that bad boy the second he You're missing
- 25:03out on so much holiday spirits, I know, because of that, because
- 25:07of that grinch of a husband of yours. Fact, we go to beddle
- 25:08like six thirty, so it's only game lit for like an hour. Oh
- 25:12my god. It'll save us though in the long run, because I won't
- 25:15have to. There's nothing worse than putting up the Christmas tree. And there's
- 25:18some it's already a pre lit tree and then one of the lights is out
- 25:22or a stringth ho. Well, not to mention. Just think about the
- 25:25four cents you're saving on your electric bill. There's that. There's that.
- 25:27Also another note, when decorating for the holidays, going overboard on bargain purchases,
- 25:33you want to be careful for that. You don't want to turn into
- 25:34your grandma who ends up with just an obscene amount of holiday decorations she found
- 25:38at the Dollar store. Yeah, No that or you sometimes you gets six
- 25:42sucked into that fifty percent off a hobby lobby. Oh I got we got
- 25:47fully sucked into that one. No you didn't. You got four items.
- 25:49We saw them. It's so significantly more sucked in that i'd been in years
- 25:55past. To be fair, Yes, we went to hobby lobby and picked
- 25:57out like three four things. No, but I get it. It's because
- 26:02I don't need to have a full on and I could go crazy for it.
- 26:06And that goes right into this number one warning the experts when when it
- 26:10comes to holiday decorating, or warning you about purchasing holiday items you don't need
- 26:14over decorating your space. My mom used to have a Christmas tree in every
- 26:18room. I'm talking the bathroom are rooms. She had bathroom tree storage,
- 26:25holiday toats. I mean you'd have the garland up on top of the both
- 26:30like kitchen stuff. I mean it was crazy to me. Trees upstairs downstairs,
- 26:34I mean it was the holiday plates would come out. I say,
- 26:38like, I get just chills thinking about the storage required. My grandma was
- 26:44the same way, And I feel like, obviously the older you are,
- 26:45probably the more stuff you had just in general, right, but my grandma
- 26:49like every room, like you said, the kitchen alone, Christmas salt and
- 26:53pepper shaker, Christmas napkin holders, it crispin plates, you know, napcin
- 27:00works. You know. I I have a Christmas tree that is still underneath
- 27:03the stairs because I'm like, oh, I want to keep that because as
- 27:07the kids get older, maybe we'll put a Christmas tree downstairs as well.
- 27:11Like I don't know, I think I'm good with just one Christmas. It's
- 27:14just there's just a lot of work here. Mother in Lund ask me the
- 27:18other she goes, so where do you put like the kid's ornaments? Because
- 27:22if you look at my Christmas tree, on the side, it looks like
- 27:25it's just my own like vibe. But on the back I have all the
- 27:30kids stuff, well, your own vibe, like pictures of you as a
- 27:33kid, Amanda's third grade ornament she made, and Amanda in the morning on
- 27:40Big Seven. Man. If I, as a kid would have had the
- 27:42opportunity to call Santa Claus direct Amanda to the North Pole, I feel like
- 27:48I'd be a lot different as an adult. But you do have the opportunity.
- 27:51We have a direct line to the North Pole. It's called the Santa
- 27:52hot line. It's been blowing up. Kids calling all over the place wanting
- 27:56to tell Santa what they want for Christmas with some of the other miscellaneous messages.
- 28:02So if you want your kids to call, number is seven oh one
- 28:04four nine nine six' nine zero three. It makes me excited just hearing
- 28:08their reaction when they hear Santa on the phone and just the I mean,
- 28:12their minds are blown because it is the direct line of Santa. And uh,
- 28:17like yesterday we had somebody who called that because after they had told Santa
- 28:21something, They're like, oh no, I mean it could biarly sleep.
- 28:22And then because it was some miss information, well they might have messed up
- 28:26what they said. And that's the thing. You meet them, you know
- 28:27santat the mall or whatever, it's like, well you get that one shot
- 28:30on his lap, and then you get home it's like, oh, I
- 28:32should have said that. Well, that's why I got the Santa hotline.
- 28:33So again the number is at Big nine eighty seven dot com seven oh one
- 28:37four nine nine six nine zero three. But I thought this one was just
- 28:41the cutest. Hi Santa being well and have you been a good girl.
- 28:48I'm a big girl. Mishard the question, but she's to confirm a big
- 28:55girl yep. Then Mom goes back with it, have you been a good
- 28:57girl? Nope? Oh, honesty thinks I mean, honesty is the best
- 29:04policy. Have you been good? No? But you know what, maybe
- 29:07I'll work on it since I'm for Christmas. Admitting it is step number one.
- 29:14Also really concerned? Are they still a thing of Ferbie? Did she
- 29:18say she said her baby or Ferbie? I thought she said a Ferbian blocks
- 29:22Either way, Ferbie's terrified me growing up. What the heck is a Ferbie?
- 29:26Remember? They were those little uh kinda that's what they look like and
- 29:33freaked me out. But squish mellows are like the hot new thing and they
- 29:37kind of give me a little Ferbie vibe. Some of them really all right?
- 29:40Well, this one I thought was cute as well. And what you
- 29:42want? I want an army show for it, and I want to look
- 29:48into cars. Thank you, thank you Santa. An army Swiss knife.
- 29:55Yeah, I'm sure it's a toy, of course, brush, but the
- 30:00remote control car. This kid sounds like he's in right in my nephew's wheelhouse
- 30:03of their agent. I got them, my nephew Liam a remote control car
- 30:07for his birthday. Loves it. Yeah, just wearing the batteries at is
- 30:11up on the top shelf with the batteries out. Just oh yeah, I
- 30:15couldn't couldn't quite get to the battery store, mom. Yeah, the battery
- 30:18store has been closed for a while because it just kept ramming and ramming and
- 30:22ramming into the stove. And what are the floorboards do to deserve that beating?
- 30:29Oh? The Santa hotline is for seven one four nine nine six nine
- 30:33zero three. Santa would love to hear from your kids, so give him
- 30:34a call.
