I'm your host, Smokey the Bandit, and today we're tapping into some real West Coast history. My guest today is somebody who's been in this game for decades. An artist, entertainer, entrepreneur, and a man who's been right there alongside some of the biggest names to come out the bait. He's been rocking with the Sick Witty family since back in the day, working alongside the legendary E40, touching stages, making records, building relationships, and watching hip-hop evolve through generations. But today, we ain't just talking about who he's been around. We're talking about his story. So, I actually met this brother out in Los Angeles while celebrating Bone Thugs and Harmony, receiving their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. My mentor, deacon of the church, made the introduction. And sometimes one introduction opens the door to a whole history you didn't even know was there. So we finna talk West Coast history, sick with it, E40, the music, the grind, longevity, some stories from behind the scenes, and you know we gotta have some fun with it. So whatever you smoking on, whatever you sipping on, get comfortable and lock the fuck in. But before we get started, make sure you subscribe, subscribe. Hit that like button, share this shit, and comment. See if you got some questions, drop some questions, cause this is the smoker section. Big Omeezy: Out here out here in in in out here in Cali we we on the we on the genetics. We wanna we don't just wanna smell it, we wanna know the genetics of that motherfucker. We wanna know exactly what's in it, all the shit, you know what I'm saying? Straight up. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: Do you remember that? Meneschi. Big Omeezy: Who's the digging at a chair? Smokey Da Bandit: Menesky. Big Omeezy: Yeah, that's a good one, bro. It's not it's not on the top of my wig. okay, Smokey Da Bandit: At the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Big Omeezy: yeah, okay. Recently. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. I Big Omeezy: Yeah, yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: was there with Bone. We was at the bar. Look, see he smoking that good. Big Omeezy: Man, I was high as a motherfucker and I was off them buzz balls, fucking with fucking billet. You know, that's the wrong one to drink with. Smokey Da Bandit: man, he was lit. He was lit, he was feeling good, celebrating. We was all having a good time. Then I call him deacon. I mean, I call him Mininsky, but he known as Deacon of the Church from Black Hole of Watts. Big Omeezy: okay, okay, yeah, okay for sure. When we was at the hotel. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So where did you get the name Big O' OMEEZY come from? Where did that come from? Big Omeezy: big OMEEZY OMEEZY actually I was named by by Forty. E 40 gave me that name. you know, it was Big O 'cause my real my real name is Omar. And then then and then, you know, when he when he got into the Easy's and the Feezys and the Shees and shit, he just started calling me O MEEZY And then we just put it and then we did Rap City. I don't know if y'all up on Rap City back in the days, but that was that's one of our historical Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: hip hop, you know what I'm saying? brands and shit and we and I came down the stairs and shit and and he said he had come my pa he said my father big old OMEEZY and named everybody and I was like, shit you know, once you get once once somebody give you a name and shit, that's pretty much it, right? You know what I'm saying? Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, hell yeah. That's how I got my name. Big Omeezy: But it wasn't it wasn't my rap name at first, man, when I my first rap name was PMO Prime Minister Omar. Smokey Da Bandit: Prime Minister Omar, okay. Big Omeezy: Prime Minister Omar, I was on some pro black radical shit. I I I wanted to be X Clan and and all kind of motherfuckers. Poor righteous teachers. I wanted to be all them motherfuckers straight up. Paris. Smokey Da Bandit: Okay. Big Omeezy: You know what I mean? I was coming for it. But then I Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: you know what I'm saying, I got with 40 and like nine fifths, ninety-five and shit, and just start observing how all these different legendary motherfuckers were, you know, let were recorded and shit like that. Mainly 40. recording with a you know, you know, you know a microphone and shit, you know, so you can remember your your your your shit. You know what I'm saying? Just learn how to actually be an artist. You know what I mean? It's one thing to learn how to do music. It's another thing to actually learn how to be an artist in and of itself. You know what I mean? Now you gotta think you gotta think you gotta think the cats in Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, it's a journey. Big Omeezy: Motown and all these different labels, they was getting conditioned and trained, you know what I'm saying, on how to do all just the shit we doing right now. You know what I mean? You had to get media trained in order to do a podcast or something like that. Nowadays everybody just get on here and shoot the shit. You know what I mean? But everybody still can't do it though. It's not you know what I It's not natural like an afro with everybody. You dig? Smokey Da Bandit: That's yeah, it ain't natural like an afro. Big Omeezy: Hello. Smokey Da Bandit: I've been doing this shit for a minute though. This shit ain't nothing but some sitting back smoking with my homie shit. Getting familiar with the legend, you know what I'm saying? Paying homage. Big Omeezy: And you do know that. Wow, yeah. Yeah, I used to have I used to do the r the my my podcast was the real spiel show. I used to do it on Block Talk Radio. I did like three years and shit. So you had some shit on Block Talk? That was the shit, huh? Wasn't that the shit, bro? Smokey Da Bandit: I had that That's where mine started at on Blog Talk. Yep. This this Yeah, that's what's up, see? Yeah. I I had I had supporters from Big Omeezy: They fucked it up, bro. They fucked it up. I was making money with that motherfucker too. Smokey Da Bandit: Iraq and everything calling in and shit. Big Omeezy: I had commercials. I had real life commercials, like thirty second, sixty second spots and while folks shot me like fifty, a hundred dollars a month. You know what I mean? Like I had that shit lit. Play with any music I w any music I wanted to and man, Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Hey, that's what's up. Blog talk. Big Omeezy: that shit they need to bring that back, man, real life. Smokey Da Bandit: Damn, that's what's up. I ain't never met somebody else that was using blog talk, especially somebody of your caliber. Big Omeezy: everything. That shit was hella fun. I was every time it was like a it's I had like can I had like Cam on there, I had four Smokey Da Bandit: That's dope. That's yeah, man. How was you how was you doing yours? Off the phone? Big Omeezy: Yeah, yeah. Well I have my computer, of course, you know what I'm saying? and then I Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: and then yeah, off the phone. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. I did my my first episode of this, basically a reboot of this show. I explained how we was doing it back in the day on blog talk and and I Big Omeezy: Not yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: have footage of how of of us doing it off the little flip phone and shit with the computer, like you just said. Yeah. Big Omeezy: Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying. And then you could you can have you can ha 'cause I was I think I was paying like fifty a month or something, but I you can get unlimited callers and shit, you know what I'm saying? And just when I actually actually actually Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, yeah. Big Omeezy: just when I had stopped and to go on hiatus, right before they shut down, I had had all my shows all across all the platforms and shit. They still on there. You can still look up the real spiel show on all the platforms and just like fuck, man. Right when the nigga got got bracket, that's when the shit Smokey Da Bandit: Nah, that shit that shit gone. I looked for it. Big Omeezy: They said we go out of business. I said, what? Damn. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah man. I went to try to go get some of the Big Omeezy: And you could tell where you can tell somebody just somebody actually probably just bought him out 'cause it was there's no reason to just shut it down. You know what I'm saying? Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, that was bogus. They had some of my old episodes up there. I was trying to go grab Big Omeezy: They was gone. Smokey Da Bandit: But they gone. The whole site, everything you can't look, you can't even look for it. It's gone. Yeah. Wiped it out. Yeah, broke my heart too. Big Omeezy: Yeah, I know. Yeah, that broke my heart. They try to give me some alternative and shit. I was like, No alternatives ain't the same. Nigga, I don't wanna see that shit. I was Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: looking at Citrus Three, you ever heard of that? Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: Citrus, I ain't I ain't signed up for it yet though. I want to see what that was about. It's like Smokey Da Bandit: Nah. Big Omeezy: like no, it ain't cool. Smokey Da Bandit: This so that's what that's what this show is basically a reboot of what I was doing on Blog Talk. It's a is I Big Omeezy: okay. There you go. Smokey Da Bandit: had my shit was called the Smoky Section on on Blog Talk. So that's what this is. So thank you for Big Omeezy: so you this one this one you finally found. okay. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So you from the Bay Area? Big Omeezy: But the only thing is I didn't have to we didn't have to worry about Yeah, I'm from I'm from East Oakland, deep East Oakland. Yeah. Yep, Smokey Da Bandit: East Oakland, that's where you was born at. Big Omeezy: yep, yep. If you if you look if you look if you look it if Smokey Da Bandit: Okay. Tell us about how how it was for you growing up. Big Omeezy: you looked on my birth certificate, you was it would probably say San Leandro Hospital because San Leandro is right next to East Oakland. Like you you you know what I mean? So it was like if you had to go to the hospital Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: in a hurry, you gonna be going to the one closest to you, you know what I'm saying? So and it's on my birth certificate, so you know what I mean, but yeah, my parents divorced when I was Smokey Da Bandit: So I'm from Chicago. You gotta break down your s your area where you from at for me. How was it like for you growing up there? Big Omeezy: I mean shit, hella hella I mean it w you know in in in Oakland in in East Oakland, just like in Chicago, it's like survival of the fill survival of the fittest. You know what I'm saying? It's like I grew up watching good times and shit because I could relate to good times. You know what I mean? So if I can't if I had if I had to say what Smokey Da Bandit: Dude. Big Omeezy: what growing what was like at that time, it's like good times, but with with divorced parents. You know what I'm saying? Like my father's side, my father was in Frisco, my Like Fillmore and my mother's in eat in East Oakland and all the family is from Oakland. You know what I'm saying? On her side. So it's like, you know, you it's like a mixture of of of both for me. You know what I'm saying? I'm all Bay but it's Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: just that it's just that my mother moved us. My mother moved us right before I was supposed to go to high school or middle school, my mother moved us to Ogden, Utah. We got on the Greyhound bus, me and my sister and my brother and my and my mother. You know what I'm saying? Just trying to escape escape poverty and shit. Living in motels and shit. You know what I mean? Just like you know what I mean? It's just like Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: But at the same time, I don't know if you know about the nation of Islam. You know about the nation? My father was a I Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Yeah. Big Omeezy: grew up in the nation of Islam. So my father was a minister. Smokey Da Bandit: Okay. Big Omeezy: My father was a minister and and and and you know and I was not at now when we was in Frisco, I wasn't a I wasn't in I was FOI but I wasn't I was still a young mustache. But I just say that to say that I got a I got a pro a project called Duality because I do have a a duality of way of thinking. I have a East Oakland you know, mentality and I have a you know, Frisco mentality, you dig? But I have a all world view, a all world view of of of life in general. You Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: understand me? If that if that makes sense. You know what I mean? But it's all in my music. At the end of the day, I'm you know, it's all in my music. That's why that's why as artists that w that's what we do. We when we when we put our heart and our soul into our music, that's why I don't fuck with the AI music shit 'cause ain't no heart and no soul in it. You know what I mean? So if if if somebody do like 40 just dropped four albums, that's four albums out of his brain. Out of his own brain. You gotta respect that. You gotta respect shit when it comes out of your own. This is four like if I I just dropped the EP Pride and Dignity, that's five songs. That's you know, that added to my catalog of seven albums. You know what I'm saying? So that's like, but that's that's that's my brain. You know what I'm talking about? That's my soul. That's the shit that the ancestors gave me and said we want you to make this song. You know what I'm saying? That's why artists like artists most artists can't even sleep like until they get the the the specific song out of their head. You know what I'm saying? It's like the shit of just play in their head all day, just all day, just going to sleep, going to sleep, waking up, Smokey Da Bandit: You know what I'm saying? Mm-hmm. I I what they want to. Big Omeezy: goddamn, I gotta get to the studio. This shit got to be get it out the way. Like, you know what I'm saying? That's how you know the ad that's Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: how you know your ancestors are telling you to make it. They telling you what to do. Straight up. That's the way I look at it. So to sum it to sum it up, I've been through I've been through some Smokey Da Bandit: I like that. Big Omeezy: shit, you know what I'm saying? my full story, you know, I've said I've talked about it in many in many interviews and shit, but at the end of the day, my music tells you that no matter what situation you start from and what you go through, you know, as a individual human, you have to see yourself into prosperity or whatever you see you as a individual individual human being. With with you know what I mean, with your own force free free will, Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: you gotta wheel yourself into success. And that's pretty much what I did. Cause Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: that's like on what on on my song that I that I got out right now, called Do My Thing. the first bars I say is Coulda gave up a long time ago, but I got tenacity and I ain't never letting go. You know what I'm talking about? Like that's all letting you know off the bat there's a different type of fire inside of big O. Like it's just like you know what I mean? That's it. That's what Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: we own. Smokey Da Bandit: That's what I said. So so what got you into music? And and and when did you think when do you think you started? Big Omeezy: what actually actually no when I no no no no Smokey Da Bandit: Was it when you was in in the bay or when you moved to Big Omeezy: no that well to in the bay was when I first heard hip hop music, you know what I'm saying? Like first listening to hip hop period. but that wasn't enough. That wasn't enough until I got to Utah. and and you just had to peep the demographics you know, it's black folk there where I was in Ogden, Utah, but at the same time it's a lot of Hispanics and a lot of white Mormons and shit like that. So it really wasn't no hip hop presence. So the catch that I was around was with the shit. You know what I'm saying? They you know I mean you some t you know, they they from LA, they from different places, job court, this that the military, whatever, but they all ended up here in this place, Oven, Utah, you know what I'm saying? So it's like it was two cats named Bobby Kersey and Bobby Bobby Kersey and Troy, DJ Tan is like these cats was already Kevy Kev. These cats was rapping opening up a Doc Box Be Fresh and fucking Rodney on Joe Cooley and shit. But these is homies from the from the from the hood. Niggas a hoop with and all that shit. So I that's that's that's what I that was the first thing that I looked at to say, you could be you know, a regular motherfucker could be could turn himself into a a artist, you know what I'm saying, and do and do the shit that we see on Rap City and fucking Yo T V raps. You know what I'm saying? Imagine being a kid, I don't know how old you are, but when I was a kid, when we watched Yo T V raps, them motherfuckers was like superheroes and shit. Smokey Da Bandit: I watch Joe and T A V raps. Yeah. Big Omeezy: Nigga nigga X when you sing X Plan, you sing all of and LL Cool, them niggas were superheroes. You know what I'm talking about? Like you and you know these like Cool Cool Mod and Cool Mo Cool Mo Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. So that's who so that's who influenced you, L L? Big Omeezy: really heavy D. Heavy D for sure, you know, heavy D for sure. Smokey Da Bandit: Eee, heavy RP heavy D, hell yeah. Big Omeezy: Yeah, L E D for sure ain't even go ho, you know, cause he was a big dude with swag, you know what I'm saying? And he was just like swag down. He was just like Smokey Da Bandit: Swagged out. Swagged out. Big Omeezy: one of them niggas that'll pop you in your face and shit like that. Then that that's the type of motherfucker I want to be. You know, just just you know saying it was just when you see it as a young, he was like, ain't Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: nobody bullying him and none of that shit. that's that's and he get rabbit dancing, all that shit. That's some fly shit. But then, yeah, like a motherfucker, Smokey Da Bandit: dance and everything. Big Omeezy: L L I fuck with L L, but LL just he just he he not my spirit don't work with cocky people. Even though I did work with a cocky artist, Doy Rob artists rest in peace from Sack, but my s because but he was like a he was like a L a darker version of LL in Sack, but but my spirit don't let me work with cocky, arrogant people. You know what I'm saying? That's why I never gravitated, even though he a bad motherfucker. I want the poor righteous teachers, the ice cubes, the the you know saying that type of shit. You did the MC Light, Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: the MC MC Light where she had paper thin and shit like that, you know, salt pepper with Houdini, runden, you know, all that type of shit. You know, I'm I'm a I'm a hip hop head, I'm just I'm Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, Danny, yeah. Big Omeezy: I'm a hip hop head, I'm just not a backpack rapper. I feel like you could do you could be both. You could be both. Smokey Da Bandit: Right, okay. Big Omeezy: You know what I'm saying? You can be a hip hop head and not be a backpack rapper. You know what I mean? Straight up. I'm not gonna be in no in no ciphers and none of that type of shit. I'm just gonna make music and make songs. I'm really a songwriter that that raps it and can do it. You know, when I'm on stage with 40, if I if I gotta sing five on it or if I gotta sing service on it, I'ma sing that shit. I know how to harmonize. You know what I'm saying? I'm a real artist. You know what I mean? You Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: know you're a real artist when you perform in front of like fifty, sixty thousand people and your heart rate don't even go up. You just it's normal at that point. You know what I'm talking about? That's the type of shit we do in real life. You know what I mean? Smokey Da Bandit: yeah, I know. I love it. Big Omeezy: You see SeaWorld, you see it's that SeaWorld and shit like that. You Smokey Da Bandit: I know the feeling. Big Omeezy: know what I mean? I'm just saying when you get that, when you go if you want bigger than any drug, I'm if you would I want you to look up the footage of the shit we just did in Detroit. The the the fucking Aretha Franklin Theater is sitting on the water, on the water, with boats, with black folk with boats in the water behind us while we perform, you know what I'm talking about? Outside the shit is the ill Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: as shit and then it's packed full of black folk packed to the gill full of Detroit players, like players and playettes. The who's who of Detroit is in this motherfucker. No, I'm just Yeah, Smokey Da Bandit: Damn Yeah, I'm gonna have to check that out. I you talk about people in boats watching the show? Big Omeezy: I'm not so angry bullshitting me. Look at that. It's it's all out there. It's Smokey Da Bandit: That's hard. That's hard. Big Omeezy: all out there. You'll see the clips as it unfolds and shit like that. I hate when my don't you hate when your lighter go out? Smokey Da Bandit: Okay, I'm gonna check that Big Omeezy: Don't you Smokey Da Bandit: out. Big Omeezy: hate when your lighter go out when it's like one of the worst feelings ever when your lighter just just tap taps out on you and shit? I'd be like, use a bitch. I'd be like, use Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, you gotta keep tapping that motherfucker. Big Omeezy: a bitch. You could have gave me some type of warning or look, I had a I had a baby flame and let it go. I had a baby flame. Yeah, that's some bullshit. I guess it's telling pause. Smokey Da Bandit: So It's telling you to pause. Big Omeezy: You tell me pause my money for the smoking obviously it's cool. Smokey Da Bandit: You gotta bang that shit. Hey, so you've been connected to Sick With It, the Sick Witty family going way back to around like nineteen ninety five, right? Big Omeezy: Yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: How did you originally meet E 40? You said you just you still rockin' with him, so that's way back in ninety five. How did you originally meet him? Big Omeezy: Well, you know, you know, growing growing up in a nation, you learn as a child to protect dignitaries and do security and do pat downs and shit. You know, when people come into the mosh, you always you learn how to do pat downs and all that. So I eventually took that and started working, you know, doing security. You know what I'm saying? You know, it's like if I me you know, if I'm you have all these different abilities and shit like that, I might as well be putting them putting them to work. So it was a black owned business called Cal State Patrol. a black owned business in sack the cow Cal Shape Patrol that I had started working with and then I s I I started working at this club. This night this club called fuck is it called? it's on Florida Road in Sack Lemission. It was LaMission. And it had lighter shade of brown there, I think, right? And I met a I met I met I met a a homie named named JB and he had a company called Hit Hard Security. So to make a long story short, you know we we became super, super, super tight as as you know, and as a crew, like I'm talking about you talking about a crew of ten, fifteen, twenty motherfuckers that that's setting up shop throughout the city. Holding it down at different venues, different clubs and shit like that. Real hitters and shit like that. You know what I'm saying? And so we just we Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: we we had this club called Episodes that Forty and them used to pull up to with the Lexus and shit when when Cap when when Cap and Saber Hoy came out. You know, they'd pull up LAD. We're like, Who the fuck is these niggas, right? And then It's just the way God do God makes shit unfold, man. I'm gonna be honest with you all around. I is it's like if even if I told you the story, you still wouldn't believe the shit. You'd be like, This nigga full of shit. There's no way that happened like that. You know what I'm saying? But basically but basically Smokey Da Bandit: I'm here to hear. I'm here to hear the story. Big Omeezy: the homie Kev Dixon, who was Captain Saber Hole, he was 'cause I guess Forty was fucking up. He was getting DUIs or some shit. I don't know. Some shit like that. Anyway, they probably had to convince him that he needed security. You know what I'm saying? Like four, you gotta get you you get you you Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: getting too big, you you know say you gotta get security. So me and my bro, me and my bro J B, we was known as them guys. You know what I'm saying? You know, we you know, and we had them guys. So, you know what I'm saying? we had a we had one d doing security at one of the worst clubs in Vallejo called Nubians Cafe. So and that shit was on real stories of the highway patrol. I don't know if you ever seen that shit. That's how bad that club was, but we But we was in that bitch holding it down. And Kev Dixon said, I need y'all, basically he said I need y'all to to fuck with 40, to eat 40. And I had already got hi the mailman for the album The Mailman, not the mailman, the tripper, One would practice looking hard and I don't know. The mailman. Yeah, I'm trivial. Smokey Da Bandit: You had an album out before you met him? Big Omeezy: No, hell no. Nope. No, I didn't I Smokey Da Bandit: okay. Big Omeezy: didn't even at that time I wanna say I was actually working on an R and B album on some real time. I was working on an R and B album yeah. I had yeah, in real life. Smokey Da Bandit: For you? For you? You sing? Big Omeezy: I can do it I d I if I want to. I can't I ain't gonna hold you. I g I g I I got I I can Smokey Da Bandit: You got some singing songs out. I was listening to your catalog. I ain't hear you singing. Big Omeezy: well one of don't count because it my homie put the auto-tune on it, but I'm still singing. It's called My Soul. actually, actually, if you hear me on level 2022, you done a lot of good things, but you ain't on my level, level, level, get on my level. You ain't heard that one? You trippin'. Level 2022. Smokey Da Bandit: Hold on, I think I do got that right there. I did. Big Omeezy: Level twenty two e two, I'm singing on that motherfucker. Yeah. Loved ones, I'm singing on a song called Loved Ones. If I ever had a chance to see my loved ones. Smokey Da Bandit: All I was listening to was turned up shit today. Yo yo your catalog got a lot of turned up shit. Big Omeezy: Ha ha I got him too, I got I got the turtle to Smokey Da Bandit: I was I was barbecuing this shit like like all right nigga yeah Big Omeezy: You hear back yeah backyard music, it ain't none of that backyard music. I got some random I got some random shit 'cause Smokey Da Bandit: And I was having a good time. Big Omeezy: white niggas was trying to be gangster, I was trying to be Will Smith, nigga. I ain't gonna hold you. You know what I mean? I Smokey Da Bandit: Okay. Big Omeezy: had no intentions of trying to be like, you know, even though I do have a couple clap back songs, like I'll be done and some other shit, you know, a bet not and some other shit like that. But for the most part, I ain't trying to kill nobody, bro. I'm just trying to motivate you and get and tell you you you you can do it. That's it. You know what I'm saying? And Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: that's it. That's a none n none too none too heavy. You know what I mean? Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. So you became his Big Omeezy: Except for these new new. Smokey Da Bandit: You became 40 security. Big Omeezy: Yeah, we became we became his security Smokey Da Bandit: And then what happened after that? You became his his artist or his hype man? Big Omeezy: And see that that that that just being well just being just being on the first of all, being a student of the game and not really and thinking that I had missed my opportunity at being being a rapper per se, I started a management company, O L H Entertainment and Artist Management. So at the same time I really started being that I was under f forties manager Jazz Hayes, who taught me how to do contracts and shit like that and and and book shows and all that. And and and and so so once so that became a a a revenue stream and then at the same time what's up there and then at the same time I was I was booking shows for 40 and I was this is before I even stopped performing. I was still I was still basically bodyguarding, but at the same time I was given the opportunity to to, you know, climb the ladder. You know, I started at the bottom and I worked my way you know I mean, you know I mean we got it out the mud. That's Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: a warning or something. Smokey Da Bandit: Somebody text me. I gotta put my shit. But go ahead. Big Omeezy: Yeah, so basically I was I was w I was working my working my way up the ladder. And at the same time working on my image and my you know, A and R in myself, learning from other learning from other artists, watching, you know what I'm saying? I was stage fright my whole life. So there's no there was no way at that time that I was even gonna be able to go on stage. There was no way. Even if I even regardless, you know what I'm saying? So but I could I could I could I could see what needs to be I could very gourdy that shit that shit, you what I'm saying? Like I could see it until and I had a I had hella artists or hella producers or I was managing all kinda motherfuckers, booking hella sh hundreds of thousands of dollars a show with with 40 and shit like that. And then it just opportunity came about where cave cousin Caveo couldn't go couldn't couldn't perform. You know what I'm saying for for whatever reason. And so we had a show at San Quentin. That was actually the first show because he was a he's a you know, he's not able to go to San Quentin. So I had to I had to fill in for that, right? And that was just like the test of water. But I really got my confidence up more when I was starting performing with Sugar Tea doing like background shit for her, like during shows and D shot when I was doing background ship. Yeah, Smokey Da Bandit: Shout out to Sugar T. Big Omeezy: and D shot, but I was in the background, in the back back out, like you know what I mean, like You know I'm talking about? It wasn't it wasn't until Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: the opportunity with 40 popped up and we had a show, I believe, in Den it was in Denver and you know, it was like DJ Pizzo like 40 big ol big ol' Meesy could do it. And I was and he You could do it on Meezy. I said, you know, if I get off this good Rossi and you know and it's Carlos Rossi and you know what I'm saying, you know, 'cause I knew that was my opportunity. You know, I knew I knew that that was my time. That was like, you know what I mean? Like, you know how they say, you only got one shot do not miss the fact like that was Hey, I went on ahead and took that and we Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Yeah, Eminem. Do not miss your chance to blow. Big Omeezy: killed that shit because I was in the studio when Forty was recording all those songs. So I got a lightweight photographic memory, so I knew all the songs anyway. You under dig so like I so that goes back to me watching, you know, being a fan of hip hop and really just watching the run DMCs and watching you know, public enemy and flavor flavor and just watch being a fan, you know, absorbing the game and s and watching 40 show and saying to myself, damn, if I got an opportunity, this is what I would actually do. And then but then actually it's a whole different personality that that came about that that once I put them once I put them shades on. You can see in some of my early early pictures, I got like some some silver elvish shades, 'cause once I put them motherfuckers on, that was a whole different person. In real life. Yeah, so that's sometimes sometimes that's where you gotta Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. I know that feeling for real. Big Omeezy: that's what you gotta do. You gotta create an alter ego. And this nigga is not for play. This thing was not for play. Cause Smokey Da Bandit: And black Yeah. Big Omeezy: 'cause you gotta understand, we doing this this Smokey Da Bandit: Mm. Big Omeezy: is the height of the hypey movement in six. We doing like major shit. You know what I'm saying? We doing like major shows. Like we doing like like overseas shows in Norway and all this shit. And so as a motherfucker who grew up stage fright, And now I got this new personality that's helping me get through this shit. You know what I'm saying? We did a whole and one mixtape tour in you know I'm saying six. You know what I mean? This shit was crazy, bro. It's all historical facts. It's all out there for y'all to see. Just Google the shit, Google E40, and just go through the historical documents and you can see that what this is what we've been doing. And my I got the pictures, you know, I learned from Chaz Hayes, always take pictures, and I got pictures with everybody. the the who's who of everybody in the game, you know what I'm saying? And so you know, but Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: we still active man, we stay we we still we still humble and we still get into it as a collective, as a collective force. Smokey Da Bandit: That's what's up, man. So man, who Big Omeezy: wait, hold on. So let me say don't get to say this. No, this is the this is the the last the was the last piece to the puzzle. So in twenty in twenty two thousand nine, we was performing at the Zoom festival, I believe it was. And coolness came and Bosco super producer Bosco was like, you tripping, bro? And I was like, What? He was like he was like, Well, you should be working on your own your own 'cause they see me on stage give down, but I'm not even thinking about about being nobody becoming nobody or like, you know what I'm saying? I'm not I'm just up there with big bro. I'm not thinking about dropping no album, none of that shit. Even though I could write and I got but sh cause I got cause for you got let me get writers credit on like Repio City and Behind Gates and shit like that. I got real credits for you know platinum flakes real real spillage. So I wasn't even thinking about this rap shit like that. You know what I'm saying? I was writing hooks for people and shit like that. I was content with done type of shit. But when they said that And it was like a couple of people I started hitting like Paul Wall and them and when they started sending me verses back, I'm like, shit, I might really do this. And I went I went full fled. I'm on the phone. I'm on the phone. Yeah. I'll call you back. I'm on the phone. so anyway, what I was saying, you talking about so excuse me, sir, I'm over here on the phone. Smokey Da Bandit: You was talking about before you even created a you was talking about before you even created your own project, you was like writing hooks and stuff and you was writing songs for Paul po linked up with Paul Wall and Big Omeezy: Yeah, so I was in it, but I really w so so I basically had some I had a couple I had a couple I I had a couple yeah, I had a couple of artists that that like I said, can had had the trait of arrogance and I didn't like that. Remember I told you earlier, I don't like I don't I don't fuck with that vibe, you know what I'm saying? So and then the shit was shit the shit of being a manager really stresses you out. So I was like, you know what, all this attention that I'm putting on these niggas, I should just put on myself to turn my you know. Turn myself back, you know what I mean? And and fulfill my destiny that I was, you I mean that I was I was going in the studio and was on a trajectory to do anyway. This is just this is just was more reaffirming when I when you got, you know, people fix fixtures in the game like pulling us at Vosco telling you, bro, you tripping, like, you know, and I'm like tripping, like I'm already on the case. I'm already three, I got a I got a young a youngster named Spitz Old of Prodigy that's 14 years old and I'm ha managing him and I already recorded two, three songs. With him, me personally, you know what I mean? So for the nine one six like it's all kinda shit going on and I'm just you gotta just be able to navigate this shit and and and let the story unfold. So basically that's what I do. I let God make the moves and I just let the story unfold and fall into place and you know. So after I dropped my first project in twenty ten, that was d during that's when we did the independent grind tour with Kendrick and and Tech Nine and and Glass Malone and just, you know. Chris Calico and just you know everybody, you know, it was crazy shit. And I'm out there slanging my CDs, you know what I'm saying, getting off stage with 40 and slang, you know, is slanging my my first album and I'm I got pockets full of money and shit, like and so once that once that happened, and I got addicted to this shit. You know what I'm saying? It was like put out an album tour, put out Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: an album tour, put out an album tour, do features, tell the feature. That's cause that's fuck that 20% being a manager, that's sucker shit. Just being honest. When you're an artist, you get all of it. You know what I'm saying? Okay, you get Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: all of it. You get the features, you get the publishing. You know what I If you if you're doing your shit right, you know what I'm saying? If you're doing your shit right, you getting all you're getting all the shit. I a hundred percent own my company, OLH Entertainment. I put I I f I physically physically Came out of my own pocket for all my shit, all my videos. Go to big oldmeezy dot com. You'll see all at least ninety nine percent. It's two videos off a double. Smokey Da Bandit: What's Big Omeezy: Huh? Big oldmeezy dot com. Smokey Da Bandit: What's the what's the best what's w what's your most memorable h show that you ever did, though like your favorite show that like man, you was like, damn, that was man, that was when you was on Big Omeezy: Well, right as of right as a as of right now, I I would have to I as of right now, as far I'm about to say as far as with 40, it would have to be it w it would have to be just when we did SeaWorld 'cause never in my mind of mind actually so it's two actually. It's Sea World and then on the Rock the Bell s cruise in the Bahamas. So we l we got on we got on a boat f in Florida. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: And took it and it was a three-day three-day cruise to the to the Bahamas and back, you know what I'm saying? And we was on the boat with like fucking Roxanne Shante and fucking like DJ Red Alert and Rockim and fucking like you know anywhere you can name was on this motherfucking boat. But you know what I mean? And so we performed on the upper, the Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: upper deck, the upper deck, the main upper deck. We killed that shit. And we was and we was on there Nick Cannon, all kind of motherfuckers. It was 40's birthday. It was the ill as shit. I'm just being honest. So that was that was one and as far as me and my own solo career, it's when I we had they put me on the show in in Salt Lake City, which is right next to Ogden, and they put me on the Summer Jam. Big old Measy. They big old Meazy on the summer jam with G Eazy, with G Eazy, Warren G. Bunch bunch of motherfuckers. I had my own dressing room with my own name outside. Have a whole entourage of like twenty niggas from Ogden. They gave me my own van. You know, like they gave me like my my my homies like that that run the station, they they they they rolled out the red carpet for a nigga. And you know, especially when when when when you get to bring your homies not only to the show like that, but to the after party. You know what I'm saying? Where it was no issue, like you know what I'm saying, like 20 niggas, they give you we we gonna just give you a van with the with a driver so that we don't have no issues. That's the shit right there though. That's why you do it though, you know what I'm saying? And you getting paid? Holy shit. And that was Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Straight up. Big Omeezy: and that was multiple years ago. So yeah, I think I already got that part out the way. You know what I'm saying? Now anything I do now is just a fucking bonus. You know what I'm saying? I already made my point, like you know what I'm saying? Cause niggas was already like, how the fuck this nigga who's supposed to be security and this that and this this this and now this nigga this you know, you know what I mean, and now he over here a rapper with his own yeah, all that. And performing with 40, and on stage with la all that shit, bro. Yeah, yeah, that's me. Dream of Believe it achievers. You can do anything you put your mind to, straight up. You know what I mean? Hard work and dedication. That's it. Straight up. Nothing no just like just like Nip said, the only thing, you know what I'm saying? The only thing that I n didn't do was didn't I just didn't give up. Didn't give up. That's the only thing. He could have gave up hella turn. Smokey Da Bandit: What's the craziest E 40 show? What's the craziest E 40 show you can tell us that you ever that y'all did? The craziest, like Big Omeezy: we was in we was in Okinawa we was in Okinawa, Japan on the military base, E 40 two short, and you understand me. And we seen all these during the day this Smokey Da Bandit: Japan. Big Omeezy: is yeah, Japan. We went we did that twice. But okay, now did during the day they showing us the artillery, they showing us how to you know the how you know how to drive big ass tanks and all this shit. They all the all the All the females is all, you know, got the ponytails and got their shit in the uniform. You know, they all they looking like real military people. But that night, though, at the that night at the club though? Mmm. They was in there shaking that mocking nigga with the with the main people up sitting up top looking at them like, What in the hell this is going on? Yeah, that shit I'll never forget. I'll never forget Smokey Da Bandit: Damn. Big Omeezy: that shit. Haloo's on the base, on the military base in Smokey Da Bandit: Boom. Big Omeezy: Okinawa, Japan. You understand me? That shit was amazing. So yeah, but it's been it's been it's been Smokey Da Bandit: Wow. Big Omeezy: plenty at ours, man. It's been it's been plenty. Smokey Da Bandit: What was that? Big Omeezy: When was that? You said when was that? Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Big Omeezy: Che I don't know, that was like two thousand fourteen or something. Some shit like that. You know, the shit the shit really is just a blur to to me though. I ain't Smokey Da Bandit: Thank you. Big Omeezy: gonna hold you. All this shit all this shit really been a been a blur to a nigga to be honest with you. I ain't even gonna hold you. You know what I mean? I blink my eyes, next thing you know, I was married with three adult grown ass kids living in Orange County. I'm still I'm still amazed by this shit. I'd be like, I don't even know. Smokey Da Bandit: So Big Omeezy: shit. Smokey Da Bandit: You got a nickname. Is is who gave you the nickname the Great Communicator? Big Omeezy: Actually my my pops my pumps gave me the the nickname. when I was a kid growing up in San Francisco, when I would go when I would go out and play with the kids and shit and the kids would come I'd be I'll just be finding random random kids to play with. I wouldn't give a fuck if they was Japanese or Chinese or fucking Indian or fucking Russian or fucking you know, i it and then when so when they came so Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: when they came to to to the to our spot and was like rock Ali can you can Omar come out and play? And he looked down and it looked like motherfucking United Nations of motherfuckers. You know what I'm saying? Cause I grew up with I'm a trekkie. I grew up watching Star Smokey Da Bandit: Mm-hmm. Big Omeezy: Trek and shit. You know what I'm saying? So I'm watching this this motherfucker on the you know on the ship and it's all kind of different races of people. So I sh I want to be like Captain Kirk. I want Smokey Da Bandit: D. Big Omeezy: to be like Captain Kirk nigga I wanna I wanna you know what mean? I'm fucking Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: with all races of people. So that already eliminated the the you know you know You know, even though I'm in the in the nation and I'm supposed to be a hundred percent pro black, I'm s it's still say friendships of all walks of life. So you're supposed to be guaranteed money, good homes, friendships of all all walks of life. And I feel like I I feel like I got that. I feel like I live by that. So my father took called me, he said, You know, you're son, you're a great communicator. He said, You're a great communicator and I just said the great communicator That was before I knew that they called Ronald Reagan the great communicator. You know what I'm saying? And so just being a child of the 80s, I'm like, well, I'm taking that. You know what I'm saying? I'm more of a communicator than that nigga than Ronald Reagan. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: You know what I'm saying? You know what I mean? So I just took that shit. I took Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Yeah. Big Omeezy: that shit. So now when you Google it, you Google that shit, my shit pop up too. Cause I've done enough at under great communicators and watch it. You'll see my shit and Reagan shit. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, 'cause you got a album title you got an album with that title too, right? Big Omeezy: Yeah, I would be a great communicator one, great communicator two, then I'd start saying TGC just to just make it short, TGC three, but right now if you listen to evolution, Smokey Da Bandit: You got you got you got the great communicator, duelty, prayers, and profanity, evolution and now pride and dignity. Those two Big Omeezy: if you listen to evolution, evolution is me and me and clippings of my pops' sermons. So so if you hear me, you I'm I'm rap I'm and then my my daughter is on there too singing on the on the intro and shit like that. So you know, you know, that's that's that that's right there and it and you know I mean they all mean something to me. Freedom of freedom freedom Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: of freedom of street was just me. If you listen to my if you listen to my early ones before Freedom of Street, I I barely cuss. Like I like. Is there'll be no profanity on you like so you gotta be like my wife my wife be like, You on some you on some real Smokey Da Bandit: So these these albums is like Big Omeezy: evolution. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. That's what I was about to that's what I was about to say. Your your albums is a evolution of you of big old music. Big Omeezy: From from inception from inception from from inception of even just trying to figure this shit out. You know what I'm saying? And then I'm telling you, I'm telling you, okay, it's a it's Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: a duality of just I'm trying to figure this shit out, but we're gonna work together. You know, we gon' work together to fig to figure out a happy medium. You know what I'm saying? Present profanity. I said let's get into it. Let's fuck you know, it's it is what it is. You know what I'm saying? They're gonna have you know what I mean? 'Cause 'Cause what it does is it opens it opens Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: my ability to rap on other people. I'm already rapping on other people's shit, talking about different shit. So I can't be a hypocrite and be like, well, I don't Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: put it on my own personal albums, but I rap but I say the shit on other people's shit. That just ain't that's not even fair to me as an artist. You know what I'm saying? So Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: after after that, I just I now I just go f I I say what I say. I if I cuss, I cuss. I ain't just I just ain't running around calling women bitches and all that shit. I don't do that. Smokey Da Bandit: Okay. Let's talk about pride and dignity. Where's big big old Meezy mentally and creativity in 2026? Big Omeezy: at the I'm I'm I've I've like like already graduated already graduated damn near professor at this shit. You know what I'm saying in real life, putting putting putting songs together, putting projects together, shit, putting people together, putting features together, all the shit. It's Smokey Da Bandit: Toward. Big Omeezy: all yeah, all the whole shit is all doing merch. I can do merch website. The whole foundation is there. I ain't I I I ain't gotta do a website Got like, you know, it's all the sh all the foundational shit that you do as a artist to try to, you know what I'm saying, to try to get you, you know, get your feet. My shit is all my songs is is registered, control ass cap and shit. You know what I'm saying? Like all of everybody, all my producers getting they split, all the artists on the songs, including the new the new joint, everybody getting they everybody getting they split, Smokey Da Bandit: Pay attention, pay attention. Big Omeezy: so I don't have there's nothing that nobody can come at me and say this, that, the third. You know what I'm saying? 'Cause I handle my business. It's all on me. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: It's all on big O, you know dig? And if you ain't having fun with it, ain't no sense of doing it. I've been having fun with this shit. You know, I had hella fun last night. I had I had Smokey Da Bandit: H I see you Big Omeezy: so much fun last night. I you know what I mean? Smokey Da Bandit: but I was gonna ask, has there ever been a time when you was just like, Man, fuck this shit, I don't wanna do this shit or you felt like it weren't like you weren't getting nothing out of it, or like you ain't you just didn't wanna do it no more, or you just you know, what keep you going? What keep you as a artist, staying as a artist instead of a manager or security or in the industry period, 'cause you know how how you know, it's a lot of fuckery in this industry dealing with all the Big Omeezy: No, I could have I could have just I could have just stayed as I could have just yeah, I could've did all that shit. I ain't gonna hook you, I could have did all that. I don't know, it's just a calling that just told me just just tells me to keep keep going. You know what I'm saying? And when you listen to the a and if if if if God wasn't giving me these songs and giving me you know what I'm saying and and and all these different beasts that just help I got some shit and I'm finna go record Wednesday that that's that is that's next level shit. Everything out every everything every beat I rap on is different than anything that's out there. You know what I'm saying? So I already know at some point, at some point how how valuable my catalog is gonna be. You know what I mean? I got songs with Foy Spice, one, two short, baby Smokey Da Bandit: You got a big catalog. Big Omeezy: badge, San Quint, you know, like you know what I'm saying? Like the who's who of this shit, you know what I'm saying? And it's and I own all that shit. You did two songs of Paul Wall, you know what I'm talking about? Shit, come on bro. All independent and Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: I had to pay for none of that shit. Imagine if a nigga had to pay for feature never pay for a feature in my life. This is all friend all all friendships. You under all friendships. Never pay Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: for a beat in my life. Smokey Da Bandit: That's love. That's love. Yeah yeah. Who who is Big Omeezy: Right here. How you gonna charge me for a big you get? Smokey Da Bandit: is there s is there anybody that you was a big fan of that you w like never thought you would work with and and have and have worked with them or has that not happened yet? Big Omeezy: yeah, well it was a song 40 got a song. Smokey Da Bandit: Who who was somebody that first f hold on f first, who was somebody that you always wanted to work with and then you finally did work with them and then who was somebody that you always wanted to work with that you haven't? Big Omeezy: Well, the people that I recently wanted to work with, they done played they self out of me everyone there. Like I w I w for some reason I I wouldn't wanna do a song with Jay Z. I don't wanna do a song with Rick Ross, I don't wanna do a song with the game, I don't wanna do a song with Drake, I don't wanna do a song with Kanye, like you know what I'm saying, like niggas who was really my like I was really fans of. I I don't wanna do nothing with none of them. They just they just all over the place like Yeah, Smokey Da Bandit: Why? Big Omeezy: they just all over the it would be messy, like you know, like they they they you know what I'm saying, i all of them is intertwined in something. And in their the they all i it it's not it's not just about music with all of them different people. You know what I'm saying? They g they got like like side Smokey Da Bandit: Okay. Big Omeezy: they got like side like drama type things attached to all of them. And I just don't want that You know what I mean? I they I I wouldn't want to even be around them to be honest with you. Even j even Ho. Like, you know, I wouldn't want to be around them, but this is just I just you know what I'm saying? I feel like I feel like my my Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: my discernment would not allow me to be around certain people. It otherwise and I've been in the studio with Hove back in the days when we was you know, when we w you know, even though w you know It was just like real it was like real quick, but shit. We was in that motherfucker. I took a picture with him. I posted that motherfucker. It's on my you know I mean on my social media, you know what I'm saying? We was at baseline in New York, you know what I mean? So I'm just saying, right now Smokey Da Bandit: That's what's up, shit. Yeah. Big Omeezy: in twenty twenty six, you know what I'm saying? It's certain s even like Stephen A. Smith and shit, do you know off the record I talked to somebody that I that that I really value their opinion out 'cause I was really a fan of Stephen A. Smith and I and I asked him, I said, Man And I got witnesses and I was like, Man, is Stephen A really a you know, like a coon, like a sellout? He was like, he gave me that look like, you know what I'm saying? That shit broke my heart, bro. I was like, damn, I really can't fuck with dude damn. You know what mean? Like if some like if I like I don't wanna be the dude, like if I meet him then I was trying to take pictures and do all that weird shit knowing that this nigga is what he is, you know what I mean? Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, like what that's what's that saying, when you meet your idols, never meet your idols or something. I forgot what that shit is. Big Omeezy: Yeah, or get to know they motherfucking You can meet just don't get to know You know what I'm saying? It's that's you know, you meet that's whatever. But when you get to know you be like, man, it broke my heart. Damn, that's Smokey Da Bandit: Idols become rivals or some shit. Big Omeezy: No, I actually just block these niggas out. I d I just block these Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, I don't I don't Big Omeezy: niggas out. I'm gonna be honest with you. It's not really hard. You know, I had this mechanism from the childhood. I just block niggas out. You know what I'm saying? Act like they don't even exist. Until the until they do something until Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: they do something to get me get back in my in my mental gracious gracious. You know what I'm saying? Smokey Da Bandit: All Big Omeezy: shit. Smokey Da Bandit: right, so who's somebody that you did work with that you never thought you would have? That you was a fan of? Big Omeezy: too short. Shit, I got a song I got a song with two w well, you know, I've been out from East Oakland, and you know, you know, and you never in your in your life think you'll do a song with somebody like Too Short, you know what I'm saying? And and and back then I I feel like it was so easy if I asked, they would just they they was they would they they was you know what I'm saying, they would do it. So I flew me on my own dime. I flew out to Burbank, got w got with my homie DJ D Rack, who's a DJ for Wildin' Out, and And he had he had the studio at Nick let me Nick Cannon let me use his studio and shit and two short pulled up and did it right there at the studio. I fool I got my shit and flew right back to sack, nigga, with a two short verse. Nigga, that shit was amazing. Smokey Da Bandit: Damn. Big Omeezy: Nigga didn't charge me nothing, didn't ask for nothing, none of that shit, man, to this day. Smokey Da Bandit: That was her first time meeting him. Big Omeezy: No, hell no. That was the first time with me saying me me saying, you know what I mean? You know what I mean? You know, let's get on a record. Like, you know what I mean? on a record type shit. You know what I mean? But I done met damn near I done met Smokey Da Bandit: I Big Omeezy: damn near everybody you can meet in the game, to be honest with you, bro. Not even being funny. Yeah, everybody. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, you said that, yeah. Big Omeezy: Ice cube, everybody. You know what I'm saying? I still if if I had a song with ice cube, that would be dope. I would love to do a song with cube. Smokey Da Bandit: I so d since this the smoky section, we're gonna get into some little smoke smoktivities, right? Big Omeezy: Yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: Loosen up a little bit before I let you go. who would you say was the west coast Mount Rushmore? You only give four on it. Big Omeezy: The West Coast. I mean I still say I still say 40 short I still say 40 short Q. Snoop, I always say Snoop. I I say the one the one the one they pick as far as West Coast. Forty. Smokey Da Bandit: Shorty fork, shorty, shorty, you said 40 short, 40 short cube and snoop. Big Omeezy: Yeah, that's that's that's the Mount Westmore. Who else? Who else? That's that's the group Mount Westmores. Who Smokey Da Bandit: All right. I mean that's the that's the that is the group, ain't it? Big Omeezy: who who else? Now now when you talk about the East Coast, now when you talk about the East Coast, I can agree I can agree that it could it could be I could agree agree that it could be Hove and It could be Hove and Biggie and and Nas and whoever the fuck else after that. I would probably after that I after that I probably Smokey Da Bandit: That for that mouth mushroom. Big Omeezy: would just say Diddy. I would put Diddy on there. You know what I'm saying? As an artist and see Yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: For the East Coast Mount Rushmore. Big Omeezy: Who did it who did it bigger than Diddy? Name I'm waiting for nigga to talk to me. I'll talk back. Pick somebody. Smokey Da Bandit: We talking about we talk about artists or what business? Big Omeezy: Yes. Yes. He responsible for everything bad boy related, including Biggie. Smokey Da Bandit: He is. And he was a artist, I guess. Big Omeezy: Yeah. Talk to me. Take the take the take the baby oil out of it. That's all that's all I'm saying. It got slaps. Even the last even the last paint last train to Paris was dope. Smokey Da Bandit: I mean, no, you know, he ran it. Bad boy. He and he was a artist. And he was a artist too. He was a artist. He was he was he was he was puffy. He was he was puffy. He was Puff Daddy. He was Diddy. He was P. Diddy. Big Omeezy: Yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: He was love. He was an artist. And he was the ran the East Coast with the bad boy. Bad boy. I yeah. All right. Big Omeezy: Come on, bro. Who else? That's all I'm trying to say. I would've been, it would have been, it would have been X, it would have been Smokey Da Bandit: Alright, what's what's your favorite E 40 song you never get Big Omeezy: X if he X, if, if he ran, if he ran Rough Riders. Come to find out, he was just an artist. How the fuck DMX just an artist? Nigga, Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: that's crazy. You had a regular artist deal, nigga. That's sick. No wonder he was so stressed out. No, he ain't had no label. Rough Riders was already something else. Smokey Da Bandit: I think he had his own label too though. It was called Blood Blood Big Omeezy: But not Rough Riders. I'm just saying Rough Riders is the you what I mean just imagine you doing all that scraping Rough Riders and you don't own none of that shit. That's crazy. I'm just saying. But he would he would have been if he was like I'm saying, if he was if he was the the one that's let's say he signed the locks and all that shit and signed E like Tar I'm talking about I'm talking about DMX, then he would have been on Diddy's level as far as mogul shit, like you know what I'm saying? Like on some mogul shit. Like even Ho even Ho left even Smokey Da Bandit: So who your East Coast Mont Rush Roy? You say Diddy, Jay Z, Nas, and who? Big Omeezy: Biggie. Smokey Da Bandit: Biggie. Okay. Big Omeezy: Yeah, you gotta have a big deal now. Who who you got on it? Smokey Da Bandit: Who your top ten? Who your Big Omeezy: Football, basketball went. Smokey Da Bandit: top ten? Big Omeezy: That's what I went. What do you mean? Smokey Da Bandit: Ba no music, music, music. Big Omeezy: top ten of all time. Smokey Da Bandit: Any anything, yeah. Any anybody. It could it don't even gotta be just brat. It's your your top ten. Big Omeezy: shit. shit. You got like you put ice cube on there somewhere for 40 in there somewhere. you put short in there for sure. Anita Baker up in there, Luffy Managros up in there, Whitney Houston up in there. we already put cube in there so he covers all the pro Pro black radical shit. Put Michael Jackson up in there. That's damn near what, eight, nine, eight? Hey, okay, we gotta put Quincy Jones up in there 'cause a lot of the music that I fuck with wouldn't even be possible without him. So they know that and then let's let's just pick one more for the Energizer. see, now you gotta think it would have been a lot of the it would have been Kanye, it would have been Hove or somebody like that, but they done later late later in life let a nigga down. So when you later in life let a nigga down, I've got you got to get up out of there. that's why I ain't putting no R. Kelly and none of that shit on there. You know what I'm saying? So a lot of niggas move themselves out of the way, not because they they they ain't great or they wasn't great or shit like that. Just like they let time bump their way out of it. bump they shit, bump they self out the way and shit. Smokey Da Bandit: Did you say pot? Big Omeezy: yeah, Pac, there we go. I mean that's so he'll be in the top five for sure. Smokey Da Bandit: I I'm like, wait a minute, hold on. I didn't hear Pocket, he said I'm like, hold on. Big Omeezy: But he now he not him but he but I didn't put him on the I didn't put him on the on the melt on the mount Westmore because I don't know exactly who he what side he claimed. East Coast, West Coast, like he's he screamed West Coast because he had to, but the nigga was so you know what I mean. I don't know. He's Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. He's from New York. Big Omeezy: from New York though. You know what I'm saying? It's just like, you know. I put I put Plac in his own. I put I put Plac Smokey Da Bandit: So who was your favorite between Pac and Biggie? Big Omeezy: I put Pop Pac, I put Pac in his own category. You know what I'm saying? Like there'll never be nobody like Tupac. You gotta think about it, overall. It was a anomaly of life. Like there's no other be, you know what I mean, son of of a pac of a Black Panther with all these revolutionaries. Like you can't even create a Tupac in twenty twenty six. There's not enough there's not nothing going on. You know what I mean? It ain't happening. Niggas is too soft Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: and shit like that. So I put him in a in a he wasn't just making music and shit. He was like, diff doing different shit. You know what I'm saying? If a nigga found a Tupac song right Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, he was Big Omeezy: now, niggas would get excited. Guess what I found? We opened the vault and it's a whole nother niggas would be like, What nigga? I gotta hear this shit, nigga. Right or wrong. Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, hell yeah. Big Omeezy: Niggas will go crazy. The lost album. Smokey Da Bandit: All right, so so for you is it you said y is Pac over Biggie for you? Big Omeezy: Yes, of course, absolutely. Smokey Da Bandit: Okay, s too short of Snoop Dogg. Big Omeezy: True sure. Smokey Da Bandit: Old school West Coast Old School West Coast or current West Coast? Big Omeezy: Well, the old school West Coast is the current West Coast. You think about it. Yeah. Smokey Da Bandit: Mm-hmm. Big Omeezy: All the all the old Jesus out there. They they'll w the Mount West Mount West Come Smokey Da Bandit: mean it's it's some new I mean the OGs is out there though. They out y'all y'all out there. Big Omeezy: on man. The old is new, bro. Big Omeezy: Yeah, money Honey Holyfield, yeah. Bag bag baby Millie, yeah. Yeah, we ain't playing, man. We ain't playing. It's got you Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Yeah. Big Omeezy: know, I like work I like working with a bunch of people that that that that got ten that also have tenacity. You know what I'm saying? And you know when you when you you know and you you just get that energy. When you need to find energy from somebody it's better to get some motherfuckers out there that that's on the same trajectory as you type shit. You know what I'm saying? And position being bone throws Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah. Big Omeezy: and harmonies DJ plus an artist himself. You know what I mean? He wrote that motherfucking hook on on g on do my thing and sang that motherfucking nigga. That's a talented brother right there. I ain't gonna hold you. So, you know what I mean? Them brothers Big Omeezy: We was just Smokey Da Bandit: haven't Big Omeezy: with everybody and they was happy as shit and now niggas just talk about the how one Smokey Da Bandit: Yeah, yeah. You know, they brothers, man, they get into it and they they they fight, they hug, they they they go to war with everybody. Big Omeezy: Scrub, just rub, just rub in front of me. Smokey Da Bandit: You know. studio or the stage? Big Omeezy: Stage, ooh, stage, stage, Smokey Da Bandit: Right. Big Omeezy: hell yeah, stage. And this is just like real cat piss back in the day. Other than that shit, I ain't I have yet to find some Smokey Da Bandit: I listen. Big Omeezy: Something that does that to a president.
