- 0:39Sean McAllister: Vegas Revealed, presented by Galindo Law, starts now.
- 0:44Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 293.
- 0:47Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you.
- 0:51Sean McAllister: And uh Dana, we kind of lived out a 90s musical uh experience on the strip recently.
- 0:59Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 1:00Dayna Roselli: Alanis Morset kicked off her mini residency, I would call it, because she's not here for too long.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: In fact, she's only got about four more shows at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: But if you want to see her live in her element and doing something different here in Vegas, you'll want to go.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: So we're gonna get into that in just a minute.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: But I just want to say again, nostalgia.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: We talk about it all the time.
- 1:21Dayna Roselli: It just seems like this is the guy it's just crazy how many artists from our upbringing are getting shows in Vegas.
- 1:32Sean McAllister: It's true, and it's not only shows, it's experiences and attractions here in Las Vegas that are basing their success around that nostalgic feeling.
- 1:44Sean McAllister: People of, you know, people who are in their 40s and 50s now, the these businesses and you know, concert promoters are tapping into what was big when in our formative years in the 80s and 90s.
- 2:00Sean McAllister: And I mean, I love it.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, what did we just we just did a TV show where we were listing off, and I was like, wow, Cindy Lauper's coming.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: Boy George just announced shows, more shows in Vegas.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: He was over at the win for a little while, and now he's coming back to the Venetian.
- 2:15Sean McAllister: Toto, Toto, another big one, yeah.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: Kings of Leon.
- 2:19Sean McAllister: Kings of Leon.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: We have Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block, and now we're even like inching into the early 2000s as well, with a couple uh One Direction band members doing solo shows on the strip.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: And No Doubt just announced at the Sphere.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: That's gonna be so good.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: I mean, so it's so interesting because you know, now No Doubt is where Gwen Stefani was a lead singer and got her start.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: She went off solo for a little while, and then they did a couple appearances since then, but now they're coming together as a full band again and playing the sphere, and they put a run of shows on sale and they've already had to add more.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 2:58Sean McAllister: So I think No Doubt is going to be absolutely bananas.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: Don't pardon the pun.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:06Sean McAllister: Cause you know, there are going to I can almost guarantee there's gonna be lots of bananas.
- 3:10Dayna Roselli: You think, well, I don't know, because it that's one of Gwen's songs, right?
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Well, that's a solo artist.
- 3:14Sean McAllister: So I wonder But I mean, I don't know if you can do shows and not have bananas.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: Well, they the whole orange thing is the big symbol.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Orange, yeah.
- 3:25Sean McAllister: Yeah, they turned the sphere into an orange for the big announcement.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: I thought you were gonna say, I have no doubt they'll sell more sell out more shows.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: Well, that is also true.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: All right, let's go back to Alanis.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: Ready?
- 3:40Sean McAllister: I'm ready.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: Because we gotta run through a bunch of stuff.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: First of all, this show had an intermission.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: It was at the Coliseum at Caesar's Palace.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: That was different.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: It was very different.
- 3:48Sean McAllister: You don't really see residency shows, residency style shows with intermissions.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: I mean, they're generally produced to a a pretty tight 70 to 90 minute time frame.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: And, you know, that's done from the view of the casino operators to get people in, see a good show, and get them back out to spend money in the casinos, at the bars, at the restaurants.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: And there was a line to get in.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: It was packed.
- 4:17Sean McAllister: There was.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: I mean, I looked around and most seats were taken.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: I think I glanced up at the balcony, and there may have been a couple seats up there, but I would say it was pretty much sold out.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: And yeah, the the lines and all of Caesars Palace was busy before the show.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: The show started at eight.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: Um it was opening night, so I think she started more like 8 15, 810.
- 4:39Sean McAllister: 815-ish.
- 4:39Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: But it was about two and a half hours.
- 4:42Sean McAllister: It was a it was uh I mean, listen, anybody who bought a ticket and went to that show got their money's worth for sure.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:51Dayna Roselli: So this was a different type of show, and it was longer because she did some talking, some acting, some some skits, some some she gave examples of the ups and downs in her life.
- 5:03Dayna Roselli: We saw a lot of pictures.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: Um, I think her husband made an appearance at once too, and then I think so.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: Uh there was some like comedy, visual arts, interpretive dance.
- 5:13Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's a little bit of everything.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: And when I left, I felt like I really knew her, but then I was also tired that night and we had a long day.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: So the next day, as I sat around and thought about it, I thought, that was different.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: I don't know, but as the day went on, I was like, you know, I really like that.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: I feel the same way.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: And I was texting with a a colleague in the um casino world who asked my opinion the next morning.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: And I said, you know what?
- 5:41Sean McAllister: This was different, but for me, I I found it really refreshing that Alanis decided to go with her gut to do what she wanted to do, because that's not been the case for a lot of her career, which is one of the themes in the show is that people have told her what to do, what to say, how to do things.
- 6:01Sean McAllister: And this is a moment where she's like stepping out on stage as her own person, doing her own thing, doing it her way, and it really was kind of refreshing that she decided to I'll say use non-traditional storytelling to uh kind of get us through her show.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: And like maybe that's not non-traditional for like if you were on Broadway, and maybe this is eventually where but it was non-traditional for Vegas.
- 6:30Sean McAllister: A hundred percent.
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: And then we were thinking, like, well, okay, so it a la Atlantis fans probably love this, but they were like, okay, well, if it was a Vegas show, would it bring people in?
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: Um, would they be satisfied or maybe care to learn this much if they weren't a huge fan?
- 6:48Sean McAllister: For more of a general audience, yeah.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: But then maybe you're like, well, maybe they didn't know much before and now they do.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: I mean, I felt a little that way.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: I definitely like her music and I knew a little bit of her story, but not exposed as much as she exposed it.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: But then again, she's doing eight shows.
- 7:04Dayna Roselli: Hey, listen, I don't know, she might extend, but I feel like they would have added more already.
- 7:09Dayna Roselli: But maybe she will be back.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: But this is perfect for eight shows because you're getting the diehards, the Alanis fans, the people who love her music and know enough about her to enjoy this show.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 7:21Sean McAllister: And I think that it really does give um, at least for me, I got new insight um to a lot of the music that I've listened to for decades now.
- 7:31Sean McAllister: Since what was it, 1995 when Jagged Little Pill came out?
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: I mean, it really explained Yeah, 1995.
- 7:38Sean McAllister: A lot of that music, and I was like, oh wow, that's what that song was about.
- 7:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:42Dayna Roselli: And every song on that album was like a hit.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: We did have a couple people chime in and tick TikTok and say, Hey, I hope she sings songs outside of Jagged Little Pill.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: Like the diehards want to hear, they love everything.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: Not just the mega hits.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: Um, I even went to Earth, Wind and Fire recently, which I can talk about in a minute, but they even said, Well, listen, we know you want to hear the hits hits, the radio hits, but you're gonna have to listen to just a couple of the songs that we love that we put together because they know, you know, that you've got to give what but yeah, Jagged Little Pill.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: I've missed that voice.
- 8:11Dayna Roselli: I enjoyed it so much because I was like, I mean, every now and then I'll hear a song, but you know, because I don't anyway listen to the radio as much as I used to.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: I don't know if you those songs aren't in the rotation of my life anymore.
- 8:25Dayna Roselli: Where you used to just you'd have a radio station on and they always played Alanis, didn't matter what year it was.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: You know, if it was that kind of radio station, but now you've got to actually pick it.
- 8:34Dayna Roselli: You do, or it needs to be in your rotation.
- 8:37Dayna Roselli: So I was listening to her going, I miss first of all, she uh another thing, she sounds amazing.
- 8:42Sean McAllister: Sounded and looked fantastic.
- 8:44Sean McAllister: Yes, and by the way, I was thinking during the show, that stage inside Caesar's Coliseum is massive.
- 8:51Sean McAllister: Yeah, and she was back and forth across that stage the entire time.
- 8:56Sean McAllister: And I was wondering, I was like, is she wearing a Fitbit so that she can see how many steps she's getting in?
- 9:01Sean McAllister: Because it had to have been easily 10,000 throughout the course of that two and a half hour show.
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: I know, I know.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: Well, she worked it.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: I mean, because they had, you know, when it was just her singing, it was just her.
- 9:12Dayna Roselli: So maybe she felt like she wanted to fill the space.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: And I know that she even made a comment at the beginning of the show, like, can't wait to see you up there in the balcony.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: And they were like, No, no, you know, we've got a show to do.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 9:23Sean McAllister: She wanted to say hi to everybody.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so maybe that was her way of going one side to the other side, and it was important to her.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: But um, yeah, definitely did learn a lot.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: I thought it was different, and um she sounded great.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: The crowd was into it.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: I got some video at the end of the show, and then I was looking back as I was editing some video, and I was noticing the crowd was on their feet.
- 9:43Sean McAllister: Oh, they were emotional and happy and during the encore and the end the end of the second act set list and into the encore, people were on their feet the entire time.
- 9:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: It was good.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: She is back.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: What did I say?
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: We got a couple more shows to go here.
- 10:00Dayna Roselli: November 1st and 2nd, this podcast dropping on the 23rd.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: So uh she also has shows this weekend, 24th and 25th of October.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: So four more shows um at the Coliseum, and we'll see if if she comes back or adds more, but welcome back.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: It was great to see her.
- 10:17Sean McAllister: It was great to see her.
- 10:18Sean McAllister: It was a different type of show, and uh like I said, I think it was refreshing and and good to see um a different kind of a different kind of show on the Vegas strip.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 10:31Dayna Roselli: Um I did go to Earth, Wind and Fire, I wanted to mention at the Venetian, they're in town too, um, doing a a few more shows, but and they usually come back, so I think they'll be back.
- 10:40Dayna Roselli: But that show just it's always good.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: I haven't seen them in a really long time, but I knew that I loved it.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: But the amount of musical instruments they use and the amount of singers, some sweet Philip Bailey is still in the group and sings a lot of the songs, but other people come in, and I think he said uh his son was one of them.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: So I mean it was um they just have like a good large group of people on stage that things are always changing up, voices are changing, instruments are changing, and I always feel like it's was such a uh good live music experience.
- 11:12Sean McAllister: Well, and whenever I see images of their shows, it like the first thing that pops into my head is that it it seems like kind of a jam band.
- 11:22Sean McAllister: Yes, it's just you know, where it's just fun, where things happen organically and things flow from one thing to the next.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: Yes, totally that way, and they they work it and the crowd gets on their feet.
- 11:34Dayna Roselli: This was at the um Venetian theater.
- 11:37Dayna Roselli: So I love that theater.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: I hadn't been there in a while, and I was excited.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: It was full and packed.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: I saw some person running in at the end trying to get one ticket at the box office, and they're like, uh, and then then they found like one.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: But yeah, they sell out, they do well.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: Earth, wind, and fire at the Venetian.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: If you haven't seen them, I definitely put it on your bucket list.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: It's good for a date night.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: Saw lots of couples enjoying what seemed like uh, you know, beginning of a relationship.
- 12:03Sean McAllister: You could just tell it was like so it was early on.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: Early on.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: I felt like there was a lot of that.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: It was a good, safe earth wind, and fire.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: Little September, let's groove tonight, you know.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: Well, they they say it is cuffing season when people get all locked into locked into relationships.
- 12:22Sean McAllister: Uh hey, coming up in November, we have uh the Formula One race returning here to Las Vegas.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: That is uh later in November, like the 20th through the 22nd.
- 12:35Sean McAllister: Um but leading up to that, there is a massive F1 arcade that has just opened up inside Caesar's Coliseum.
- 12:46Sean McAllister: And this is uh a pretty cool thing.
- 12:49Sean McAllister: Oh, I have the Coliseum on my mind.
- 12:52Sean McAllister: Yeah, this is over at the forum shops at Caesar's Palace.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: Um, and this is a kind of a one-of-a-kind entertainment and hospitality destination.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: They do have F1 arcade uh like simulators, tons of them that you can uh try your hand at.
- 13:09Sean McAllister: Um, but they also have great food and drinks and other activations that will put you at the center of the Formula One experience.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: And it's the largest US location to date.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: So welcome.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: I'm sure it's great over there at the Form Shops.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: I think it will do well.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: It's 20,000, 21,000 square foot space.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: So that's a lot.
- 13:29Sean McAllister: And by the way, there are going to be a lot of other uh F1 activations popping up at resorts up and down the Las Vegas strip.
- 13:37Sean McAllister: Some are free, a lot are free, actually.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: Uh some are paid.
- 13:42Sean McAllister: But just to let you know, keep your eye out.
- 13:44Sean McAllister: If you're coming into town between now and uh the end of November, you're gonna see a lot of F1 everywhere.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: And I think this one's here to stay.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: I don't think it's like a pop-up, so um year-round.
- 13:57Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, we ran over to Ellis Island to check out the deck.
- 14:00Dayna Roselli: This is a rooftop bar that just opened.
- 14:03Dayna Roselli: Ellis Island Casino is at the corner of Lomingo and Coval, right there in the middle of all the F1 action when that weekend comes up.
- 14:12Dayna Roselli: Um, but it's a great casino that has some really cool spots for sports viewing, brewery, karaoke room, and now a rooftop bar.
- 14:21Dayna Roselli: And we went up there, it just happened to be the most perfect weather as it usually is here in Las Vegas in fall.
- 14:26Dayna Roselli: And it what a spot.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: I mean, it really is.
- 14:29Sean McAllister: This is part of a$35 million renovation uh that they're doing over at Ellis Island.
- 14:36Sean McAllister: And we talked to Christina Ellis, who is part of the Ellis family, and Ellis Island gets its name from the Ellis family.
- 14:43Sean McAllister: Uh, she is the vice president of development over there at Ellis Island, and we talked to her about all the development that they're doing.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: We just opened phase one of our construction.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: So we have a new casino expansion with that new casino bar, big screens for sports.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: And on top of that expansion, we have our new rooftop bar where we're at right now.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: Uh, with a bar, we have great seating, open air, of course, being on the rooftop, great views of the strip.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Uh, and then our next phase of construction, we have more casino that'll get a little facelift to the property, and then from there the restaurants go under construction.
- 15:17Sean McAllister: And we always say that anytime that you can add patio space, that's like a key thing because you think it's a no-brainer in Las Vegas, but not everybody has it.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: No, it's true, and the weather here is really so beautiful so much of the year.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: You know, we get a little bit of a bad breath for our hot summers, but beautiful night tonight for the majority of the year.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: It's so nice.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: Um, so we have the front yard, which is great, indoor-outdoor, and now we're excited to welcome this roof top venue.
- 15:44Sean McAllister: I know, and I think we were over here when the front yard was brand new and talked to you.
- 15:50Sean McAllister: And uh to have this evolution of um, I don't know, new experiences at Ellis Island continually rolling out.
- 15:59Sean McAllister: Um, how exciting is that for you guys and your customers?
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: It's so exciting, and the customers really love it and really appreciate it.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: We're still the same value-driven price point we've always been, still the same Ellis Island, but introducing these new amenities where you can enjoy rooftop dining at the deck, you can enjoy a place to watch sports and have great beers at the front yard, and now carrying that onto our casino floor.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: Same$5 blackjack, just in a brand new, beautiful environment.
- 16:24Sean McAllister: And so uh up here on the deck, what is offered?
- 16:28Sean McAllister: Is it just lounge?
- 16:30Sean McAllister: Is it taking in the views?
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: It's a little bit of everything, right?
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: We have lots of beautiful lounge furniture up here.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: Of course, the view speaks for itself, a great vantage point of the strip.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: But it's cocktails, it's our Ellis Island beers, of course.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: Great place to grab a small bite and a drink, whether it's before dinner, after dinner, in place of dinner.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's just a great spot to hang.
- 16:49Dayna Roselli: And we'll have more with her in the future because we talked to her all about F1 coming up and some of the things they've got going on.
- 16:55Dayna Roselli: And boy, do they have a great deal.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, the F1 deal that they have.
- 17:00Dayna Roselli: We'll put it next week, maybe.
- 17:01Sean McAllister: I might, I'm I think I'm gonna take advantage of that myself.
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: Well, now I feel rude.
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: Should we just say it?
- 17:06Sean McAllister: Okay, it was a hundred bucks for the Thursday night of Formula One at the front yard at Ellis Island, which is their indoor-outdoor uh venue over there.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: So you'll be right there on the corner of the action.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: And what did she say?
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: Food and drink included.
- 17:21Sean McAllister: Uh food and drink included, and I believe access to the viewing platform, Ellis Island's viewing platform.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: I mean, what a deal.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: Get in quick on that.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: Maybe go to their website and look for that.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: Man, that's shoot.
- 17:35Sean McAllister: I'm gonna have to get my ticket now.
- 17:37Dayna Roselli: It's true.
- 17:37Dayna Roselli: You might need to.
- 17:38Sean McAllister: Because I think they're gonna sell out.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: You were taken back, uh taken back by that.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: You were gasping.
- 17:42Sean McAllister: I I was.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: I had no words.
- 17:44Sean McAllister: I was like, whoa, wait a second.
- 17:46Sean McAllister: Is this the best deal in Vegas right now?
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: All right, well, let's talk wellness.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: If you don't want a beer and a drink and some food, maybe you want a smoothie, stick with us here.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: We've got a great tip right now.
- 18:05Sean McAllister: Okay, let's dive into tips.
- 18:06Sean McAllister: And this is something that we've talked about before here on the audio podcast, and that is wellness tourism.
- 18:13Sean McAllister: This is a trend where people are traveling, vacationing with the entire idea that their vacation is going to be centered around activities, meals that make them feel better.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: And I kind of thought when we first started talking about that, I remember we talked to a woman from Forbes Travel, right?
- 18:34Sean McAllister: That was the first time we heard about it.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: And I was like, who's coming to wellness, right?
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: But then we went over to Fountain Blue and I was like, okay, I get it.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: Now, also we partner with Fountain Blue for these blue access segments.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: This is part of that.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: But we also actually go over to do the reporting and learn about, you know, the topic.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: And by the time I left there, I was like, this is heaven.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: I mean, now I get it, and I feel like it's true.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: You don't want to always wake up, eat bad, have the whole day, be no nutrition.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: And there are things that you want to do to improve your experience and it to be a part of your travel.
- 19:17Sean McAllister: When especially if you're spending money on a good vacation, you want to feel good during your vacation so that you can make the most of it.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: Right.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: You don't want to wake up feeling hungover and sluggish and waste half the day because you have to sleep in and get over your hangover.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's so true.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, they are taking luxury to the next level with this uh health and wellness program that they have going on over there.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: They have everything from a top-of-the-line fitness center and spa.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: They have a new wellness bar.
- 19:49Dayna Roselli: They're updating their menus with more nutritious sections so that they stick out and you can see exactly what item might be more, you know, beneficial for you.
- 19:58Sean McAllister: We went over there and we talked with Chef Joe from Fountain Blue.
- 20:02Sean McAllister: We also talked with Ashley Tulo, who uh runs the spa over there.
- 20:07Sean McAllister: Um, check out everything wellness that Fountain Blue has going on.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: The health and wellness trend has definitely taken off over the last couple of years.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: A big part of the health and wellness that we believe in is actually where the ingredients come from.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: We have great relationships with all the farmer markets in Arizona and California where they you know they hand select vegetables and fruits for us specifically.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Um we have an amazing, uh, fully sustainable beef program and water when we stay up.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: We use the list of everything's from the Minecraft in the shape.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: I'm eating a little injured summer and eight summer.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: I'm two fish and we have a salad we have a healthy driven, we have a healthy salad section, and then ultimately what the women is individually.
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: When you vegan, you need to be, you know, energized and healthy for the whole day.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Dynamic, the margins have definitely shifted to where people want to go and work out.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: And when they're staying in the hotel with a group of people, they all go to the gym and then they'll all go to the spa.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: And then when they come and dine, it's the same thing.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: It's communal dining, eating healthier, and still enjoying yourself.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: So it's a really great change, I think, for the city itself.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: Um, and and we're super proud to be hopefully one of the one of the leaders in that in that segment.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: We have people say they come here again just because this is the best hotel gym they've ever been to and they stay here exclusively for that.
- 22:33SPEAKER_03: Our goal with our Fitness and Wellness Center was really to make it an advanced training facility.
- 22:38SPEAKER_03: So we have multiple rooms.
- 22:40SPEAKER_03: We have your strength and conditioning room, we have a stretch and recovery room, as well as a movement studio where we offer complimentary group fitness classes every single morning to our guests.
- 22:51SPEAKER_03: It's really fun because we have certain equipment like a Kaiser compression system, an entire turf track with a sled push, as well as a great view of Las Vegas Boulevard from all of our cardio equipment.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: Everyone raves about the spa.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: Spa is one of my favorite places.
- 23:06SPEAKER_03: I'm a spa girl at heart.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Our facility here, it's very unique.
- 23:10SPEAKER_03: Not only is it a large facility, we have two stories, but we have one of the largest co-ed spaces, as well as a multitude of rooms, including a salt mist cave, infrared saunas, herbal inhalation room, a snow shower, celestial shower experience, zero gravity chairs.
- 23:29SPEAKER_03: So there's just so much to do here, and you can do it individually on the men's and women's side or together in our co-ed experience.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: Our herbal room as well as our spa, it has a pulse to it.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: Our spa is based around this circadian rhythm.
- 23:42SPEAKER_03: So in the morning when you go in, you're gonna get these hues of blues and purples, also these soft smells of lavenders.
- 23:48SPEAKER_03: Then at two o'clock, everything switches to your reds and orange.
- 23:52SPEAKER_03: Even our event sauna, we switch our smells to the cinnamons, more spicy, more invigorating.
- 23:57SPEAKER_03: So you actually get two different experiences depending on what you're looking for.
- 24:01SPEAKER_03: The reboot lounge is like our express a la carte experience.
- 24:05SPEAKER_03: Sometimes people may be walking around and they only have a little bit of time and are not looking to partake in a full spot experience.
- 24:12SPEAKER_03: So we have this relaxation area downstairs where they can immerse, get their feet rubbed, lay back, have a hot compress over their neck, pop in for maybe 30 or 45 minutes, and then go back about their day feeling refreshed.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: Alright, and if you actually want to look at this story, visualize what we're talking about, you can get it.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: Which you should.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, which you should.
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: You can go to our YouTube channel, our at Vegas Revealed YouTube channel.
- 24:37Dayna Roselli: We have the full story on there, and you can see us going, you gotta see this gym and this spa.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: Incredible, right?
- 24:43Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 24:44Sean McAllister: I mean, uh uh they make it snow in there, it's a double decker spa.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: Relaxing.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: Um so also, just so you know, they have these sauna meisters at the spa.
- 24:56Dayna Roselli: Because sometimes people go to a spa, and believe it or not, not everyone has been to a spa.
- 25:00Dayna Roselli: You might be a first timer and you want to start trying out spas as part of your travel tourism.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: Um they have sauna meisters that help guide you through the sauna experience, and then they also help you with the cold plunge and all that kind of thing.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: So um they guide you through, which is great.
- 25:17Sean McAllister: Which that's nice to have, especially like you said, if you are just dipping your toes into the spa waters.
- 25:22Sean McAllister: And on the dining side, they're also uh incorporating wellness menus at a couple of the restaurants over there at Fountain Blue, including La Fontaine and Vita.
- 25:33Sean McAllister: They plan to have more uh as time goes on as well.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: So keep an eye out if you're dining at Fountain Blue for the healthy sections on the menus.
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Chef was saying it'll stick out, like you'll see it.
- 25:45Dayna Roselli: You know, sometimes you have to go hunt for it.
- 25:47Dayna Roselli: They're trying to do like a you know a nice square on the menu where it sticks out, and you can say, okay, here's a great alternative or choice.
- 25:55Dayna Roselli: And if you want to dig in an adult, go do something else.
- 25:57Dayna Roselli: Like that's fine too, you know?
- 25:59Dayna Roselli: So yeah, really great over there.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: Um, I'm gonna be I got my best friend coming into town.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: Um I had her stay at the Fountain Blue, her and her husband coming up.
- 26:07Dayna Roselli: I got a bunch of girlfriends coming into town, so I feel like I'll be at Fountain Blue a lot, and then over at I got some friends staying over at Virgin hotels too.
- 26:14Dayna Roselli: So we're going to see new kids on the block and the whole thing.
- 26:17Dayna Roselli: So um I'll have some tips from that as sure.
- 26:20Dayna Roselli: But for sure.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: But I guess what I'm trying to get at is that my one friend, she is like, no matter what, I'm going back back to Fountain Blue's spa for a facial because she said it was the best facial she's ever had in her life.
- 26:32Sean McAllister: Well, I mean, there are people who specifically stay at Fountain Blue for the spa and the gym.
- 26:37Dayna Roselli: Yes, it's true.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: It's a nice gym.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: And maybe you see Tom Brady in there.
- 26:40Sean McAllister: Hey, you just might.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 26:43Dayna Roselli: Well, thanks for joining us, everyone.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: Um, we gotta make this one kind of quick today.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: I think people are getting used to our long podcast, but um, we need to jet and go do some new coverage.
- 26:53Dayna Roselli: We are actually going to the opening next week of the Jabberwockies.
- 26:56Dayna Roselli: Actually, this week, when the podcast drops, it'll be this week, the Jabberwockies are back at MGM Grand.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: So we'll be talking to them and check out their new show and a ton of other stuff as well.
- 27:08Sean McAllister: We'll also be checking out a new hotel in downtown Las Vegas.
- 27:12Sean McAllister: It's a non smoking, non-gaming property, but there are definitely reasons for you to stop in there, and we'll get into that next week here on Vegas Reveal.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: All right, have a good one.
