- 0:00Speaker 1: Did we see the greatest performance in fantasy football history
- 0:06Speaker 1: this past weekend?
- 0:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 0:08Speaker 1: We're gonna have to break this down in this week's
- 0:10Speaker 1: edition of Fantasy Freaking Football.
- 0:13Speaker 2: It's time to.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Review your fantasy team. Here now, commissioners, it's time for
- 0:22Speaker 1: Fantasy freaking Football. Well, we have a bittersweet episode here
- 0:29Speaker 1: because this is it for B Dub for filling in,
- 0:32Speaker 1: so it will be back after it. Well, I don't know,
- 0:35Speaker 1: we'll see man, very popular B Dub has been filling
- 0:39Speaker 1: in for the past three weeks. I appreciate you, Brian
- 0:41Speaker 1: hanging out with me. It's like the old days, you know.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Bringing back some memories. My dms have been blowing off.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Really is that right?
- 0:48Speaker 3: No, but I've always wanted to say that out loud.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I don't even know what it means. It's been a
- 0:54Speaker 3: lot of fun.
- 0:54Speaker 1: For Yeah, no being able to talk fantasy. We're in
- 0:56Speaker 1: two leagues together, so it's just kind of sort of
- 0:58Speaker 1: makes sense. And yeah, or we'll be back from his
- 1:01Speaker 1: paternity to leave when we get back from Thanksgiving break.
- 1:04Speaker 1: So this is it for b Dub, So go crazy, man.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I am I'm going on. Okay, what I.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Was just referencing there is Josh Allen's performance in Fantasy
- 1:14Speaker 1: this past weekend. I'll be honest with you, I've been
- 1:17Speaker 1: playing Fantasy for almost well twenty five, twenty six years
- 1:21Speaker 1: something like that. You've been playing even longer because you've
- 1:23Speaker 1: been playing since you were a little kid in your
- 1:25Speaker 1: dad's league. I don't know that I've seen a game
- 1:27Speaker 1: like this for Josh Allen. He was responsible for six touchdowns.
- 1:34Speaker 1: You've seen six touchdown performances before, but not necessarily from
- 1:38Speaker 1: a quarterback. From a quarterback perspective, you obviously get points
- 1:42Speaker 1: for the touchdowns, and he had three rushing which are
- 1:46Speaker 1: usually more points, three passing, and then of course all
- 1:49Speaker 1: the passing yards as well. He had an incredible game.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I'm lucky enough to have him in two leagues. It
- 1:56Speaker 1: was one of those ones that I targeted him early
- 1:59Speaker 1: and I just had a feeling about Josh all year
- 2:01Speaker 1: long where I was like, I really I want to
- 2:04Speaker 1: walk away with Josh Allen.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I really did.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I know you have the same feeling about him, because
- 2:08Speaker 1: I snuck him right before you in our work league Happy.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I knew you were going to take him at some point,
- 2:13Speaker 1: so I was like, I got to get him before
- 2:14Speaker 1: be Dove because we kind of think alike in fantasy,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and so I targeted Josh in the two leagues that
- 2:20Speaker 1: we're actually in together, and I was able to snake him,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and so he was unbelievable for me. I apologize to
- 2:27Speaker 1: anybody out there who was playing against him this week
- 2:29Speaker 1: because he was putting up obviously depends how your league
- 2:33Speaker 1: is scored forty to fifty points, which is almost unheard
- 2:36Speaker 1: of for a single guy to do.
- 2:37Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 2:38Speaker 3: They're completely game changers. We talked about the week before
- 2:40Speaker 3: with JT. Jonathan Taylor having such a big week, but
- 2:43Speaker 3: when you're starting quarterback, is getting you that so consistently
- 2:46Speaker 3: in terms of getting you thirty plus every single week,
- 2:49Speaker 3: it just allows you so much more flexibility across your lineup.
- 2:52Speaker 1: His rushing numbers, his rushing touchdown numbers are crazy.
- 2:55Speaker 3: He's he's going to go down after it's all said
- 2:58Speaker 3: and done as one of the all time leady rushing
- 3:00Speaker 3: touchdown people.
- 3:01Speaker 2: As a quarterback and quarterback. He's already went away.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I think he's went away from the actual all time
- 3:07Speaker 3: record was Cam Newton for quarterbacks.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I think it was seventy.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Three, and I'll be honest, I'm just gonna say this,
- 3:13Speaker 3: hel it. I think Buffalo's specialty guys are average at best.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Outside of Cook. Cook is great.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Cook is a really good running back and he's proven
- 3:20Speaker 3: that at times. But the wide receivers I think are
- 3:23Speaker 3: only getting prominent attention at times because he's involved in
- 3:28Speaker 3: the process.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Well, the only way they're winning games is because of him. Yeah,
- 3:32Speaker 1: he puts the.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Entire Sam Coleman obviously the issues there. You could tell
- 3:36Speaker 3: the players are down on him. Shakure went almost all
- 3:39Speaker 3: game long without even catching a pass. They have knocks,
- 3:43Speaker 3: they have Kincaid, solid serviceable tight.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Ends, but they are hit and miss.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah, they have.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Another wide receiver that I'm totally blanking on because they
- 3:51Speaker 3: don't make an impact on the regular They'll catch passes
- 3:55Speaker 3: though when you need him, and all of a sudden
- 3:56Speaker 3: you're like, oh, I kind of forgot he was on
- 3:57Speaker 3: this team, and like, oh, he had like three catches
- 3:59Speaker 3: for some yards. Josh Allen is literally the premier player
- 4:04Speaker 3: that makes that engine go for that offense.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we were talking. Is Jonathan Taylor the Fantasy MVP
- 4:09Speaker 1: last week? And maybe Josh Allen, you know, you think
- 4:12Speaker 1: about it, He has had a couple of down weeks,
- 4:15Speaker 1: but I mean that's that's normal. But overall he's been incredible.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that offensive line has just done such a good
- 4:21Speaker 3: job of just keeping him upright. For the most part,
- 4:23Speaker 3: doesn't take too many hits, and when he does, I
- 4:26Speaker 3: think they're calculated, like he knows, I need to stay
- 4:28Speaker 3: in here to get the pass off.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Very similar to the Indianapolis.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Colts where they've actually retooled some of their premier guys
- 4:33Speaker 3: as they've like you know, drafted in the draft. It's
- 4:36Speaker 3: just a great reminder that certain teams in the sport
- 4:39Speaker 3: of football, if you do not handle the trenches, if
- 4:43Speaker 3: you do not worry about your lines, you will not
- 4:45Speaker 3: be a successful team. People talk about Philadelphia and the
- 4:48Speaker 3: Tush push and what's going on there. And you lose
- 4:49Speaker 3: Jason Kelsey, who was at the tip of the spear
- 4:52Speaker 3: for that whole thing. They found somebody in there that
- 4:55Speaker 3: replaced him. They completely stay together. They've lost Lane Johnson,
- 4:58Speaker 3: they still are able to kind of still move the
- 4:59Speaker 3: need as an offensive line, and that's the key. The
- 5:02Speaker 3: best teams in sports, in sport of football have good
- 5:05Speaker 3: offensive and defensive lines. It's just it's fact as good
- 5:08Speaker 3: as your quarterback is. If you don't have lineman, you're
- 5:10Speaker 3: not gonna be very Succe.
- 5:11Speaker 1: They were talking about it on Monday Night Football of
- 5:13Speaker 1: like the Countdown, I believe it was where they were saying,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you know what, why did the Raiders go out and
- 5:18Speaker 1: draft Ashton Genty when you need to build from the
- 5:22Speaker 1: inside out and your your offensive line is not good,
- 5:25Speaker 1: your defensive line is not good, and you drafted a
- 5:27Speaker 1: running back like it's that's a novelty pick. It's a
- 5:30Speaker 1: nice he's a good running back. I'm sure you know eventually,
- 5:33Speaker 1: but if you have nobody to block for him, what
- 5:35Speaker 1: are you gonna do?
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't blame him because you've actually watched how
- 5:39Speaker 3: they've done play calling. You've watched how they've struggled so fast,
- 5:43Speaker 3: you know, being down in points. He hasn't come close
- 5:46Speaker 3: to even coming remark like remotely scratching the surface of
- 5:50Speaker 3: what people thought or projected he would do. And I
- 5:53Speaker 3: don't blame him. Yeah, I think that whole regime, I
- 5:56Speaker 3: know it was cool and nostalgic and like, hey, Pete's
- 5:59Speaker 3: going to bring him back and the Raiders and what's
- 6:00Speaker 3: kind of going on there.
- 6:01Speaker 2: It hasn't worked.
- 6:02Speaker 1: No, and Gino Smith has been really literally one of
- 6:05Speaker 1: the worst quarterbacks in football.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and and I don't fully blame him, even though
- 6:08Speaker 3: he's made some poor decisions. You could see his frustration.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I mean, he's definitely a guy that struggled early in
- 6:12Speaker 3: his career, but he's been a above average and serviceable
- 6:17Speaker 3: quarterback and given teams a chance to win in recent years.
- 6:20Speaker 2: We saw what happened in Seattle.
- 6:21Speaker 3: So you're not going to get the dynamic Josh Allen,
- 6:24Speaker 3: you know, Pat Mahomes, even Lamar Jackson. But you're gonna
- 6:27Speaker 3: get a guy that could move the chains and you
- 6:29Speaker 3: put a good defense around him and good special teams
- 6:32Speaker 3: and they could win games. And that's not happening right
- 6:34Speaker 3: now because they don't have line.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Well, in terms of fantasy, you'll have, you know, a
- 6:37Speaker 1: big before, like like look at what Jacoby Brissett did
- 6:39Speaker 1: last week.
- 6:40Speaker 2: In a losing effort. I just picked him up in
- 6:42Speaker 2: one of my teams.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It was kind of crazy when I didn't realize, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 1: because the Niners were killing him most of the game,
- 6:47Speaker 1: and then you look at the stat line afterwards. He
- 6:49Speaker 1: broke the record for completions. He had four hundred yards passing.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I'm was like, wait, he did light bulbs should go
- 6:56Speaker 1: off right right out of the box, right.
- 6:57Speaker 3: A more dynamic and more athletic courts back in Callum Murray, however,
- 7:01Speaker 3: playing the position of quarterback in the NFL built around
- 7:04Speaker 3: that offense. Those offensive linemen knowing that they're gonna have
- 7:07Speaker 3: a guy sting in the pocket that doesn't flush at
- 7:09Speaker 3: the with the blink of an eye or because somebody
- 7:11Speaker 3: goes boo and he just takes off running like Caler
- 7:14Speaker 3: Murray would do. They've been successful. They had Marvin Harrison out.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I mean, they really did it with two guys Wilson
- 7:21Speaker 3: in Trepa Wright. I mean, it's there. They were the
- 7:23Speaker 3: two or three running backs already out. I mean, it's
- 7:25Speaker 3: amazing that Arizona's being as competitive as they are, and
- 7:28Speaker 3: I think it starts with their defense. But I do
- 7:29Speaker 3: think that Jacoby Brissett, who's never been a great quarterback,
- 7:33Speaker 3: but he's he's a backup. He's one of the better backups.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Right compared to some of the other guys that came in.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I mean, we can get into that a little bit later,
- 7:40Speaker 3: Like in Cleveland and some of the other stuff around that.
- 7:43Speaker 2: You know, guys that are wearing don't pick, do not face.
- 7:46Speaker 2: That's my biggest fantasy advices exactly.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Let's get to your questions. Of course, you can hit
- 7:50Speaker 1: us up on X at the show, Eddie at the
- 7:53Speaker 1: show or we still aren't really sure about btw if
- 7:56Speaker 1: he's even on Twitter. Uh, And then we do have
- 8:00Speaker 1: are we do have our email address. Of course you
- 8:02Speaker 1: can hit us up on email. And then we did
- 8:03Speaker 1: confirm that our our specialty email address f FF at
- 8:08Speaker 1: rock one five three dot com is available. So if
- 8:10Speaker 1: you want to, if you want to email us your
- 8:11Speaker 1: question you can't.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Do please do it? Well, please, you just love that
- 8:14Speaker 2: email address.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I do all right. First question is who do I
- 8:17Speaker 1: start at wide receiver Michael Pittman versus Kansas City or
- 8:22Speaker 1: Juwan Jennings versus Carolina. I know you're a big Michael
- 8:25Speaker 1: Pittman guy.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I do, so go back with the family a little bit. Uh.
- 8:30Speaker 3: He struggled though, like he's been boom or bust early
- 8:32Speaker 3: on good and it was a credit to Daniel.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Jones terrible week last week.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Richardson could never figure him out when he was
- 8:38Speaker 3: the quarterback. But he really was very poor last week,
- 8:41Speaker 3: didn't use him much, and I think that's going to
- 8:43Speaker 3: be probably changed for.
- 8:44Speaker 2: The week Priory had Yeah bye week.
- 8:46Speaker 3: So I got to think they go into the room realized, Wow,
- 8:48Speaker 3: we didn't get him the ball enough. We probably didn't
- 8:49Speaker 3: force some passes in there. Uh, they like to stretch
- 8:52Speaker 3: with Pierce and then of course Johns Josh down.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Ye, they got that random guy there.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Tight Jones is actually making these guys become more prominent,
- 8:59Speaker 3: like either you know, or at least they're getting more
- 9:01Speaker 3: attention because he's moving the ball around.
- 9:03Speaker 1: That means there's a lot of mouths to feed though,
- 9:05Speaker 1: So you know, I'm not really sure that Pittman is
- 9:07Speaker 1: the guy against Kansas City. This is make or break
- 9:10Speaker 1: for me for Indianapolis. If they are able to beat
- 9:13Speaker 1: the Chiefs, you're a legitimate contender. If you fall to
- 9:16Speaker 1: the Chiefs, I'm not sure if we have just a pretender.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And so I'm fascinated with this game. Juwan Jennings is
- 9:23Speaker 1: obviously going to benefit from brock perty being back, and
- 9:27Speaker 1: you know, you saw what the offense is able to
- 9:28Speaker 1: do with Brock. You could say what you want. He
- 9:31Speaker 1: didn't put up gaudy numbers by any means, but he
- 9:33Speaker 1: is very efficient and he runs that offense very well.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And Juwan Jennings had a decent game. And so if
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'm looking at Pittman or Jennings, I think Jennings is
- 9:42Speaker 1: the safer play, But Michael Pittman has the ability to
- 9:45Speaker 1: go off.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Yeah, coming off of buye, I think Pittman's gonna have
- 9:48Speaker 3: probably a better bounce back, or at least theyre going
- 9:50Speaker 3: to try to give.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Them the ball more in Kansas City.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I said this last week, though, I said the differences
- 9:54Speaker 3: of Pretty and Mac Jones two different types of quarterbacks,
- 9:57Speaker 3: and they're not as really as comparable as you would think.
- 10:00Speaker 3: And you already saw what happened when Pretty came back.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Kittle more involved in the offense way more than ever
- 10:04Speaker 3: before outside of one game. And you know, I do
- 10:07Speaker 3: think that's one of those things where it starts little McCaffrey. Yeah,
- 10:10Speaker 3: McCaffrey a lot of underneath stuff that within fifteen yards
- 10:13Speaker 3: and then he sets up the deeper pass. So I
- 10:15Speaker 3: think there's maybe a bigger chance for a boom with
- 10:19Speaker 3: Juwan Jennings. I would tend to lean here with Michael
- 10:21Speaker 3: Pittman with more of a consistent, higher number consistent.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Gotcha flex question Michael Wilson, who we just mentioned versus
- 10:28Speaker 1: Jacksonville or Woody Marx versus Buffalo.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I think Woody Marx is gonna have a huge game
- 10:33Speaker 3: against They're gonna have to pound the rock.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I mean, c J.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Stroud, how far removed we are from this guy is
- 10:39Speaker 3: the next Yeah, the next guy and he's gone. So
- 10:40Speaker 3: now you have, you know, his backup who's actually played
- 10:44Speaker 3: pretty consistent and not trying to do too much. And
- 10:46Speaker 3: I think that's where they've been leaning on the run.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Now Buffalo probably knows that. But I think Woody Marx
- 10:50Speaker 3: has solid I think he's gonna get a ton of touches.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I think they're gonna work him into that offense a
- 10:54Speaker 3: whole lot more. Whereas on the flip side.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Of you know who we compare him to Michael Wilson.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Yeah, Michael Wilson, you still have Harrison's questionable it might
- 11:04Speaker 3: be back this week. You still have McBride, you still
- 11:05Speaker 3: have other people that are gonna spread the ball around
- 11:07Speaker 3: to a little bit.
- 11:08Speaker 2: So I'm leaning on Woody.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Mark Jacksonville is a lot better versus the past too,
- 11:12Speaker 1: and so you know, I tend to lean in a
- 11:16Speaker 1: flex question to the running back because you're almost guaranteed
- 11:18Speaker 1: touches right. And they've utilized Woody Marks in the passing
- 11:21Speaker 1: game as well. And so Michael Wilson, Yeah, you had
- 11:24Speaker 1: a big week. I'm always like, you got to show
- 11:26Speaker 1: me more than just one week type of guy. Woody
- 11:29Speaker 1: Marks has been pretty serviceable. So I'm going to give
- 11:31Speaker 1: the edge as well to Woody Marks in that one.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Love this next question. This is like kind of like
- 11:36Speaker 1: a philosophical question. So I really like this. I'm fascinated
- 11:40Speaker 1: to see what you say about this, says. I have
- 11:42Speaker 1: a question for you guys. I'm in a league where
- 11:44Speaker 1: we have a guy who doesn't fix his lineup every week.
- 11:48Speaker 1: We all know this guy, everybody has this guy. Well,
- 11:51Speaker 1: this week, that guy is playing against another guy who
- 11:55Speaker 1: I need to lose him to lose because we are
- 11:58Speaker 1: in a battle for the final play off spot. Do
- 12:01Speaker 1: I say something to him in hopes he fixes his lineup?
- 12:06Speaker 1: Or is that not cool? Is it all fair in
- 12:09Speaker 1: fantasy football?
- 12:10Speaker 2: What do you do? Well, it's not cool, but I
- 12:13Speaker 2: would do it.
- 12:13Speaker 1: You really, you would tell the other guy like, hey, man,
- 12:16Speaker 1: you're gonna fix your lineup this week?
- 12:17Speaker 3: I might just might just might do it, depends on
- 12:19Speaker 3: like where you're at and how like bad you need it.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I I think you.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Always like don't want to wake a sleeping bear when
- 12:25Speaker 3: you know you're gonna plan, but then afterwards you're like
- 12:27Speaker 3: you nudge that. I've probably been known to do that
- 12:30Speaker 3: before or said something in my lifetime over forty years
- 12:33Speaker 3: of playing fantasy with that said though, is it's not
- 12:36Speaker 3: cool and it's probably not like.
- 12:39Speaker 1: It's up to that kind of that. Yeah, you know,
- 12:42Speaker 1: but at the end of.
- 12:42Speaker 3: The day, like hey, if you're not cheating, you're not
- 12:44Speaker 3: trying like that may tell it's not.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Really even cheating. It's not you're just saying you're trying
- 12:48Speaker 2: to win.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, listen, yeah, I don't I don't really
- 12:52Speaker 1: have a problem with it. I would hope that that
- 12:55Speaker 1: guy would get his stuff together and go, come on, man,
- 12:58Speaker 1: like you got to fix your lineup. But you're right,
- 13:00Speaker 1: that could come back and hurt you because sometimes you'll
- 13:03Speaker 1: go against the guy and they don't realize, oh, there's
- 13:04Speaker 1: a bye week. And you know, if if somebody did
- 13:06Speaker 1: that and I found out somebody told I would be upset.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah, like you might end up like waking him up.
- 13:11Speaker 3: He al sudden starts him and then a sudden you
- 13:13Speaker 3: play him in two weeks, right, and then he crushes
- 13:15Speaker 3: you and he still loses that karma. Yeah, But I
- 13:20Speaker 3: don't know if, like when you have money on the
- 13:22Speaker 3: line and you have like a win or go home mentality,
- 13:25Speaker 3: I don't know if we really couldnot have it a
- 13:27Speaker 3: little bit of an edge. I don't know about Beandie.
- 13:29Speaker 3: I'm like the PC kind of like the nice, fancy guy.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I'd rather be known as a guy that beat up wins,
- 13:35Speaker 3: like the guy I just kept called myself a third person,
- 13:38Speaker 3: which is weird, but like, hey, hey, like I win
- 13:40Speaker 3: like and people know me. It's like he's competitive, he
- 13:42Speaker 3: always puts a good lineup out there. He's always he's
- 13:43Speaker 3: always fighting to the end, even if he has a
- 13:45Speaker 3: losing record.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And where it's at. I don't like the guys that
- 13:47Speaker 2: mail it in. I hear you.
- 13:49Speaker 1: All right, Let's get to our starts and sits for
- 13:51Speaker 1: the week. At quarterback? Who is your start?
- 13:53Speaker 2: Who do you like? This is a bounce back game.
- 13:56Speaker 3: A lot of it I think was weather induced against
- 13:58Speaker 3: Philadelphia but I have Jared Goff. I think them not
- 14:01Speaker 3: win that game. That was a very tough matchup against Philadelphia.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Playing the Giant. He was my sit last week he
- 14:06Speaker 2: was your shit, which was a good call.
- 14:07Speaker 3: And that's kind of why I wanted to also point
- 14:09Speaker 3: it out there is I think now it's a bounce back.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Jared Goff to me the most underrated quarterback in the
- 14:14Speaker 3: NFL last year four years in terms of just what
- 14:16Speaker 3: he's done making that a winning organization.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Leaving away to.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Ask you this, Jared Goff at this point, he's been
- 14:23Speaker 1: to a super Bowl, he's had I mean, his numbers
- 14:26Speaker 1: are huge. Is he putting together almost a fringe Hall
- 14:29Speaker 1: of Fame career?
- 14:30Speaker 2: This is kind of where I was going with, Okay,
- 14:32Speaker 2: the fact that they were so good early.
- 14:34Speaker 3: It's almost like, if you're gonna consider Matthew Stafford, he's
- 14:38Speaker 3: following in the same footstep.
- 14:39Speaker 1: He's won a super Bowl though he has so that's the.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Only now that he transferred teams.
- 14:43Speaker 3: But I mean it's kind of the same way he
- 14:45Speaker 3: was a winning quarterback, built up the organization, moved over
- 14:49Speaker 3: and now built that organization up a little bit more.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I mean, because Matthew Stafford had them always being good.
- 14:53Speaker 3: They've gotten much better underneath it. Goff In regards to
- 14:56Speaker 3: more polished, a more polished team, So I think he's
- 15:00Speaker 3: I think he's head in the right direction for sure.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I think if the Lion, if the Lions somehow win
- 15:04Speaker 1: their first ever Super Bowl and Jared goff is the quarterback,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I think it's a Hall of Famer after you look
- 15:09Speaker 1: at his numbers. And that sounds crazy, but I actually
- 15:11Speaker 1: think it.
- 15:12Speaker 3: You plan a flag and you make somebody prominent and
- 15:14Speaker 3: get him to the Promised Land. I mean people talking
- 15:17Speaker 3: about that with Joe Damoth right with the Jets.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I mean that would be two Super Bowls that he
- 15:21Speaker 1: played in, and if he won one, I mean that's
- 15:23Speaker 1: kind of yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 3: And you know how I hate being a San Diego
- 15:26Speaker 3: growing up here in my whole life. I mean, two
- 15:27Speaker 3: of the most prestigious quarterbacks in the history of the
- 15:30Speaker 3: NFL never even got to a Super Bowl, and Dan
- 15:32Speaker 3: Felts and Philip Rivers, and yet that's the only way
- 15:34Speaker 3: people sometimes measure them. I hate that as a measurement
- 15:38Speaker 3: tool because the mouth breather won two of them, and somehow.
- 15:41Speaker 2: That's why we refer to Eli Manning.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and somehow Philip Rivers is always measured against him
- 15:47Speaker 3: being in the same draft and where it's at. I
- 15:49Speaker 3: just hate that comparison because they think there's so much
- 15:51Speaker 3: more to that and it really downplays a team because
- 15:54Speaker 3: the Giants, we all know those teams were so good
- 15:57Speaker 3: in that window and they had so many talented people
- 16:00Speaker 3: and they don't.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Win Siper Bowls, Like they don't think you're I'm.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Definitely bitter fan, right and I'm like, I own it.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Yeah, my start this week, I again, I'm looking for
- 16:09Speaker 1: a bounce back game as well. Uh, it is kind
- 16:11Speaker 1: of crazy to think that the Seahawks even had a
- 16:14Speaker 1: shot in that game against the Rams with Sam Donald
- 16:16Speaker 1: throwing four interceptions, but literally they had a chance to
- 16:19Speaker 1: tie the game at the end. So it was kind
- 16:21Speaker 1: of crazy. But Sam, this is sort of what you
- 16:24Speaker 1: get with Sam Donald's He's been playing incredible, he's been
- 16:27Speaker 1: playing really well, and then you're gonna have a stinker
- 16:30Speaker 1: and that's just kind of Sam Donald's career. So I
- 16:32Speaker 1: do truly believe he's going to have a bounce back
- 16:34Speaker 1: game and probably a big game against Tennessee. So I
- 16:37Speaker 1: like Sam Donald this week, Who's your siit.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I have JJ McCarthy and that's just playing simple. They
- 16:43Speaker 3: look so inconsistent. He looks very poor. He's not getting
- 16:47Speaker 3: any help. I mean, Addison dropped multiple passes in that game.
- 16:50Speaker 3: They can't get He's overthrown everybody. Yeah, he can't get
- 16:53Speaker 3: Jefferson into the end zone, which is really frustrating if
- 16:56Speaker 3: you have Jefferson.
- 16:57Speaker 2: On your team.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Sounds personal, But JJ McCarthy what people have to remember.
- 17:01Speaker 3: He's twenty two years old.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he's twenty time. He's very young.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I mean, he came out after a couple of years
- 17:06Speaker 3: in Michigan, and I think he still has a big upside,
- 17:09Speaker 3: especially being tied to Kevin O'Connell, friend of the show.
- 17:12Speaker 3: But I do think that JJ McCarthy is a guy
- 17:15Speaker 3: that I would definitely back away for a while.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I played against him last week and it was not good.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Well, in Green Bay's defense, they know right now their
- 17:22Speaker 3: offense we talked about it before.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I'm sure we'll talk about a little bit more.
- 17:24Speaker 3: They're struggling, and Jordan Love right now is just as
- 17:27Speaker 3: off as JAJ McCarthy is. Why Green Bays defense feel
- 17:30Speaker 3: like they have to actually come to the table more
- 17:32Speaker 3: I expect them to be very aggressive against Minnesota.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I said, this week is a guy who is, you know,
- 17:37Speaker 1: pretty good in fantasy so far, but I don't think
- 17:40Speaker 1: he's gonna have a good week this week. I'm talking
- 17:41Speaker 1: about Joe Flacco for the Bengals. You're taking on a
- 17:44Speaker 1: Patriots defense who is just they're playing lights out and
- 17:48Speaker 1: you're not gonna have Jamar Chase because of the spitting
- 17:51Speaker 1: the magic Loogie incident situation that happened. So Flacco is
- 17:55Speaker 1: not going to have weapons. You know, You're just got
- 17:57Speaker 1: to stop t Higgins at that point. And so I
- 18:00Speaker 1: just got to imagine Joe Flacco's numbers are not going
- 18:02Speaker 1: to be as gaudy as they have I know.
- 18:03Speaker 3: But you know, going back to the conversation of Hall
- 18:06Speaker 3: of Famers, and I never thought in my wildest dreams,
- 18:09Speaker 3: I'd be talking about this Delaware quarterback. But the fact
- 18:12Speaker 3: that he's gone to multiple teams, it looks like you'll
- 18:15Speaker 3: keep playing for a couple more years.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Because the guy could still chuck the ball because he's
- 18:18Speaker 2: a big dude. Does he I mean he's won a
- 18:20Speaker 2: Super Bowl?
- 18:21Speaker 1: He has won a Super Bowl?
- 18:22Speaker 2: I mean, is he a Hall of Fame quarterback.
- 18:24Speaker 3: I mean, I would never say that, but before, but
- 18:26Speaker 3: he's one with all these other teams.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying. I have a hard time
- 18:31Speaker 1: saying a guy's a Hall of Famer if you've gone
- 18:33Speaker 1: to so many different stops because you don't seem to
- 18:36Speaker 1: make it with that team. Are you a Hall of
- 18:37Speaker 1: Famer if you can't play with the Jets and the
- 18:40Speaker 1: Browns and all these you know, bad organizations. That doesn't
- 18:43Speaker 1: make sense. So yeah, I would probably say no. If
- 18:46Speaker 1: he somehow turned an organization around right now and like
- 18:49Speaker 1: went to another super Bowl, then you can't deny it.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I think if the Bengals were somehow to get into
- 18:54Speaker 3: the playoffs, which I think is kind of a reach
- 18:56Speaker 3: right now, but then he gets all the credit in
- 18:58Speaker 3: the world because.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Browning was well, Joe Burr is coming back.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Let me ask you the question, if they win their
- 19:05Speaker 3: next two games before, do you still put Burrow in
- 19:07Speaker 3: over Flacco?
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, I mean's Joe Burrow?
- 19:10Speaker 2: I mean, but Joe Burrow is good.
- 19:13Speaker 3: The guy's missed a lot of time, and he guy's
- 19:14Speaker 3: been out for however many weeks, whereas Flacco has been Actually,
- 19:17Speaker 3: they've been scoring points, they still have a horrible defense.
- 19:20Speaker 3: My point is, like, as good as Joe Burrow is,
- 19:23Speaker 3: is he that good?
- 19:25Speaker 1: He's he's excellent, but he is too injury prone, right,
- 19:29Speaker 1: you know, you always hear the best ability is availability,
- 19:32Speaker 1: So he's he's got to figure that out.
- 19:35Speaker 2: What he gets smoking a cigar in the locker.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Running back, Who's your start?
- 19:39Speaker 2: I went with Trevon Henderson.
- 19:43Speaker 3: It's very obvious now, stud that everyone was thinking this
- 19:46Speaker 3: year was going to be the year the guy emerged.
- 19:48Speaker 2: He did well, he's a rookie.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Well yeah, but Romandi Stevenson kind of was still getting
- 19:52Speaker 3: a lot of the carries early in the season. You're
- 19:54Speaker 3: wondering what was going on. He's now had a couple
- 19:56Speaker 3: of big games. I think Stevenson's like, crap, he just
- 19:59Speaker 3: got Wally pipped. I don't know if he'll ever get
- 20:01Speaker 3: you know, he might be like a short yardage guy
- 20:02Speaker 3: or maybe a goal line guy. Really impressed with the
- 20:04Speaker 3: Stevens in going against Cincinnati. We just talked about that defense.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Big day for him.
- 20:08Speaker 1: My start this week is Quinchawn Jenkins from the Browns.
- 20:13Speaker 1: You're taking on the worst run defense in the league
- 20:16Speaker 1: against the Raiders. The Raiders can't stop anybody, and so
- 20:20Speaker 1: he is going to go off. He's going to have
- 20:21Speaker 1: a big game. So I like him as my start.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Who's your sit?
- 20:24Speaker 3: I went with Sead White, and that is because Tucker
- 20:27Speaker 3: emerged himself. Buck Irvan's been supposedly coming back, not come
- 20:31Speaker 3: who knows.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I mean, like you just feel sorry for those people
- 20:34Speaker 2: hanging on Buckyarvi. That'd be me.
- 20:37Speaker 3: But Rashad White's just kind of like I think he
- 20:39Speaker 3: had ten carries fifty one yards and still did okay,
- 20:40Speaker 3: but like he was like the guy when buck Yrvin
- 20:44Speaker 3: went down and actually was a nice compliment to Buck Irvin.
- 20:46Speaker 3: And actually there maybe a year before buck Yerrvin emerged
- 20:49Speaker 3: last year, but Tucker looked really really came out of
- 20:52Speaker 3: no especially against the Bills. Yeah, so I think they're
- 20:54Speaker 3: going to ride him into this week as well.
- 20:57Speaker 1: My sit this week as I'm staying in that same game,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but I'm going with the opposite team. And it's a
- 21:01Speaker 1: guy we just mentioned, Ashton Genty. All right, Genty, you know,
- 21:06Speaker 1: talk about a massive fantasy disappointment. Genty, you know, was
- 21:09Speaker 1: a first rounder in a lot of leagues and so
- 21:11Speaker 1: I mean he's just not been productive at all, and
- 21:14Speaker 1: you're taking on the Browns defense, which you can say
- 21:17Speaker 1: whatever you want about the Browns, their defense is lights out.
- 21:21Speaker 1: They have been outstanding all year long. So this is
- 21:23Speaker 1: not the game that Ashton genty I'm going to be
- 21:26Speaker 1: feeding him the rock NonStop or whatever. I just don't
- 21:28Speaker 1: see it happening. Wide receiver, who's your start?
- 21:30Speaker 2: I went Roman Donza playing Pittsburgh.
- 21:33Speaker 3: He was the primary target gay last week with six
- 21:36Speaker 3: and if you look at his kind of game log,
- 21:38Speaker 3: it's like every other game he pops. So he had
- 21:40Speaker 3: like seventeen point six against the Giants down to five
- 21:42Speaker 3: point one against the Vikings.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I think he'll have another big game again. Part of
- 21:46Speaker 2: that's Kill Williams.
- 21:47Speaker 3: And I don't think that obviously I'm not a big
- 21:50Speaker 3: Devonte Swift guy this week either or you know, in
- 21:53Speaker 3: terms of the running game. So I do think that
- 21:55Speaker 3: you're going to see them throw the ball, and obviously
- 21:58Speaker 3: that like kind of goes into.
- 21:59Speaker 2: His favorite DJ Moore is still there.
- 22:01Speaker 3: They saw some other you know guys, but I think
- 22:03Speaker 3: Roman Dunesa he's kind of now the main guy. Yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 3: and I think he's gonna get more more touches and targets.
- 22:08Speaker 1: My start this week is basically, if you've been watching
- 22:11Speaker 1: the Eagles, you know they they're like intentionally feeding the
- 22:15Speaker 1: rock to AJ Brown. Last week it was like NonStop.
- 22:18Speaker 1: It was to the point of where it was kind
- 22:20Speaker 1: of ridiculous.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yep, where you go.
- 22:21Speaker 1: You know, you have another guy on the other side
- 22:23Speaker 1: who's really good. You might want to throw him a
- 22:25Speaker 1: pass or two. I'm talking about Davonte Smith. So if
- 22:27Speaker 1: you keep feeding a J. Brown, you're gonna make him happy.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Everybody's great, but then you're not gonna score a lot
- 22:33Speaker 1: of points. What happens with Davante Smith has big games,
- 22:36Speaker 1: they score a lot of points. They do, and so
- 22:38Speaker 1: you're taking on Dallas, who you know, you look at
- 22:41Speaker 1: their defense and it's not very good. So I think
- 22:43Speaker 1: the Eagles win big and I think it's because of
- 22:45Speaker 1: Davante Smith this week. So that's that's my start. Who's
- 22:48Speaker 1: your sick?
- 22:48Speaker 2: I like your rationale. I picked Smith.
- 22:51Speaker 1: See, we're on different pages when it comes to this thing.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Does your rationale is good? Yeah?
- 22:55Speaker 3: But what I saw was Owner meets with AJ Brown.
- 22:59Speaker 3: We're gonna at AJ Brown the ball until I don't
- 23:02Speaker 3: see that. I think it'll happen again. It's gonna be
- 23:04Speaker 3: against Dallas. What's gonna be Premiere? AJ is gonna want
- 23:07Speaker 3: I'm going against Pickens, I'm going against c Lamu ceedee Lamb.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I want the attention. And unfortunately that's kind of what
- 23:13Speaker 3: they're probably gonna do to try to keep him happy.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Nick Sirianni seems like he kind of goes with the flow,
- 23:18Speaker 3: and you'll probably be told this on when you do.
- 23:19Speaker 3: You're right about DeVante Smith though he has his biggest
- 23:22Speaker 3: games when nobody's counting out there and and more. He
- 23:24Speaker 3: doesn't complain. He's just a He's very much a professional.
- 23:28Speaker 3: But I would stay away until I see them back
- 23:31Speaker 3: off for that.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Now, I'm fascinated to see this guy. Yeah, it'll make
- 23:33Speaker 2: it fun. Happen. It'll make it fun. Who's your sid?
- 23:37Speaker 2: My said?
- 23:38Speaker 1: Is a guy who popped last week. He had a
- 23:40Speaker 1: big game. It doesn't make a lot of sense that
- 23:43Speaker 1: he had this big game, but he he did. I'm
- 23:45Speaker 1: talking about Parker Washington from Jacksonville who he was kind
- 23:48Speaker 1: of like again the popular pick up this week because
- 23:51Speaker 1: everybody saw, oh, he had this big game in Jacksonville
- 23:54Speaker 1: and blah blah blah, blah. I'm like, well, whoa pump
- 23:56Speaker 1: the brakes here? There are still other guys in Jacksonville. Yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 1: maybe this part. Parker Washington had a big game again.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I'm a show me guy. That's great. You had one
- 24:05Speaker 1: big week. Can you do it twice in a row?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah? I have no idea. Isn't Tuton there isn't it?
- 24:10Speaker 2: He's a running back? Yeah?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, we have Jacoby Myers. There is Brian
- 24:15Speaker 1: Thomas ever coming back. Yeah, I'm assuming he's gonna come
- 24:18Speaker 1: back at some point. So I don't I don't imagine
- 24:20Speaker 1: Parker Washington is gonna be the guy every week.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I did happen to see some of that.
- 24:24Speaker 3: I went to like a little like kind of brunch
- 24:26Speaker 3: thing down the street with the neighbor, and they had
- 24:28Speaker 3: only that game on. Oh and it's I haven't been
- 24:30Speaker 3: able to confirm if the charters actually showed up the
- 24:32Speaker 3: play because I saw the players shuit it up, but
- 24:34Speaker 3: I don't know if those Royal NFL players.
- 24:35Speaker 2: It was very tough to watch. That's a disappoint That
- 24:38Speaker 2: was a look ahead.
- 24:39Speaker 3: At the bye week, thinking we're going they never travel well,
- 24:41Speaker 3: never play well in the ten am game.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I mean that's been going on for years.
- 24:44Speaker 3: But the tutin guy for Jacksonville emerged to me and
- 24:48Speaker 3: popped like in my eyes.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I like, I think he didn't.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Get banged up and he's kind of questionable, but I
- 24:52Speaker 1: saw what you saw.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Like I'm like, oh, if they can get him running
- 24:55Speaker 3: the ball a little bit like it is because you
- 24:57Speaker 3: need to take the pressure off Trevor Lawrence.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Trevor Lawrence is not what everyone wants him to be.
- 25:02Speaker 2: He's just not. I don't think he's that guy. I
- 25:03Speaker 2: don't think.
- 25:04Speaker 3: But he's got some athleticism. It sets up play action
- 25:06Speaker 3: pass where he does have a strong arm.
- 25:08Speaker 1: At ten had a good game.
- 25:10Speaker 3: If they could run the ball there, they're going to
- 25:11Speaker 3: be better. So I'm kind of buying into what you're saying.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Tight end, who's your start?
- 25:15Speaker 3: This is easy coming off the big week. Jake Ferguson Dallas.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I think he's a good tight end. He's healthy right now.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Dak Prescott had all of his pieces. You saw the
- 25:24Speaker 3: be able to score points. I know is the Raiders,
- 25:26Speaker 3: but that offense still is able to score. He's moving
- 25:28Speaker 3: it around a little bit. Seedee Lamb only makes Jake
- 25:30Speaker 3: Ferguson that much more dangerous.
- 25:32Speaker 1: My start this week is Hunter Henry. I think he
- 25:34Speaker 1: was your start last week. I like him this week. Obviously,
- 25:37Speaker 1: you're taking on the Bengals. The Bengals defense is you.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Could have put all five guys.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, honestly, you could pick pick, take your pick.
- 25:43Speaker 1: With the Patriots, they're just playing so well right now.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I just like Hunter Henry Henry this week. Who's your ship?
- 25:49Speaker 3: So I told you I liked what he marks a
- 25:51Speaker 3: ton for Houston. I don't like Dalton Schultz.
- 25:53Speaker 2: No, not this week.
- 25:54Speaker 3: No, not this week going against Buffalo. I think he's
- 25:56Speaker 3: been putting up double digits. He has been, but I
- 25:59Speaker 3: think Baltimore, I mean, Buffalo is going to really try
- 26:01Speaker 3: to like stop and put all you guys up front.
- 26:03Speaker 3: That's going to take away that short passing game. They're
- 26:05Speaker 3: gonna have to stretch the game a little bit with
- 26:06Speaker 3: those wide receivers, the Nico Collins of the world, some
- 26:08Speaker 3: of the other guys. I just I'm staying away from
- 26:10Speaker 3: Dalton Schultz. I think he's actually a guy that I
- 26:13Speaker 3: like overall, is a tight end. He's not much of
- 26:15Speaker 3: a blocker, so when he's in there, you know that
- 26:16Speaker 3: he's probably gonna be running routes.
- 26:17Speaker 2: I think they're gonna lock him down.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I heard this stat last week and I really held
- 26:21Speaker 1: on to it, and so I got to put this
- 26:23Speaker 1: guy as my sit this week. The only team to
- 26:26Speaker 1: not have a tight end catch a touchdown. Do you
- 26:29Speaker 1: know the answer?
- 26:29Speaker 2: Tampa Bay?
- 26:30Speaker 1: It is Tampa Bay. So, Kate Dodden, you got it here? Yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 1: you know you're taking on the Rams.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I picked him up last week.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Oh see, the beat up curses is a real thing.
- 26:38Speaker 1: And so if Kate Dodden, if maybe they're gonna try
- 26:41Speaker 1: and feed it to him because they heard that stat
- 26:43Speaker 1: was going around a lot.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Well, I saw when the game popped on, I did
- 26:46Speaker 3: hear that, And I'm like, oh, I'm glad I picked
- 26:48Speaker 3: Kay too.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Not perfect timing.
- 26:49Speaker 2: That was such a dumb move, you know.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Yeah, And the Rams defense is legit, and so I
- 26:54Speaker 1: you know, I gotta imagine that the Rams are gonna
- 26:56Speaker 1: play really well in that game. Maybe they feed k
- 26:58Speaker 1: the ball because they want to get to this stat.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Yeah, but Baker's that kind of guy, right, like he
- 27:03Speaker 3: hears everything. Baker's a quarterback that's very conscious of his teammates. Listen,
- 27:06Speaker 3: he's sophomoric and immature early on, but the way he
- 27:10Speaker 3: kind of hailes himself, he's kind of that old school quarterback.
- 27:12Speaker 3: I think you're right. I think he's a guy that
- 27:14Speaker 3: will probably be conscious of it in the next couple
- 27:15Speaker 3: of weeks to make sure he tries to get him impossibly.
- 27:17Speaker 1: We'll see what happens there, all right, hopefully there's another
- 27:20Speaker 1: history making performance. Beat up, Thanks for sitting in for
- 27:22Speaker 1: my pleasure a week, and hopefully you go out there
- 27:24Speaker 1: and get a win.
