Safari Vehicle Plunges in Mara River | Tanzania News
A safari vehicle carrying four Swiss tourists plunged into the crocodile-infested Mara River during the Serengeti Migration—marking the first time such an accident has occurred. Despite the chaos, most passengers escaped by jumping from windows before submersion, while the driver and one other were rescued in the nick of time. Tanzania’s National Parks agency is now launching a full investigation into the incident, calling for stricter safety protocols and warning tour guides against reckless driving during peak migration seasons.
