- 2:52SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 2:52SPEAKER_08: Raylan, you had a question about the musical?
- 2:54SPEAKER_08: Go ahead.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: Um I was gonna ask you, how are you gonna get the whole school to Southside?
- 3:01SPEAKER_08: So we get the whole school to Southside by the morning of the musical.
- 3:04SPEAKER_08: We all just get in buses, and we just load up the buses, and then we all just get in.

- 3:28SPEAKER_07: Yeah, like classic fun.
- 3:30SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 3:30SPEAKER_07: I think I might do that too.
- 3:32SPEAKER_08: Do you think do you think well you gotta pick one when you get this?
- 3:34SPEAKER_08: If you pick my class, you don't really get to sing.
- 3:36SPEAKER_08: You get to just make videos about the show.
- 3:40SPEAKER_07: Like all the time when a song was like.
- 3:42SPEAKER_08: You think Carson is a good singer?
- 3:43SPEAKER_08: Sing us a song.
- 3:44SPEAKER_08: Sing us a song.
- 3:45SPEAKER_08: Let's find out if you're a good singer.
- 3:46SPEAKER_08: I'm not gonna sing a single thing.
- 3:48SPEAKER_08: Then how do we know you're a good singer?

- 4:41SPEAKER_08: Something about your hair bothers me, Woody.
- 4:43SPEAKER_08: I don't know what it is.
- 4:44SPEAKER_08: For the people listening at home, Woody has the most perfect Justin Bieber swoop.
- 4:49SPEAKER_07: It's not Justin Bieber, bro.
- 4:51SPEAKER_07: That's that Woody haircut.
- 4:52SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it's the Woody haircut.
- 4:54SPEAKER_08: That's the Woody haircut?
- 4:55SPEAKER_07: Yeah, they named the haircut after me.

- 5:08SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 5:09SPEAKER_08: I play football.
- 5:10SPEAKER_08: QJ, who clearly doesn't know how podcasts work.
- 5:13SPEAKER_04: I play football.
- 5:14SPEAKER_04: I play football.
- 5:15SPEAKER_08: That was not the question.
- 5:17SPEAKER_04: I know what you why would you and then we have Ray.
- 5:20unknown: Hi.
- 5:20SPEAKER_08: Hi, Ray.
- 5:21SPEAKER_08: See, Ray gets the question.
- 5:23SPEAKER_07: I did it.
- 5:24SPEAKER_07: You asked me a question, actually.
- 5:25SPEAKER_08: Alright.
- 5:26SPEAKER_08: Here is what we're talking about today.
- 5:28SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 5:29SPEAKER_08: I want to know musical that's coming up.
- 5:33SPEAKER_08: Okay.

- 5:34unknown: Oh, yeah.
- 5:35unknown: The fifth grade music, yeah.
- 5:36SPEAKER_08: The fifth grade musical, Madagascar.
- 5:38SPEAKER_08: Madagascar.
- 5:39SPEAKER_08: What do you know about Madagascar?
- 5:41SPEAKER_05: There's a lion.
- 5:43SPEAKER_08: There's a lion?
- 5:44SPEAKER_08: Okay, yeah.
- 5:45SPEAKER_05: A lot of characters, because my sister's in it.
- 5:47SPEAKER_08: Your sister's in it, yeah.
- 5:48unknown: Uh I don't know.
- 5:49SPEAKER_08: You don't know?
- 5:51SPEAKER_05: Wait, are we going to Southside?
- 5:52SPEAKER_08: Yep, we'll go to Southside again.
- 5:54SPEAKER_05: Southside.
- 5:55SPEAKER_08: Um, what are you doing it's gonna be a good show?
- 5:58SPEAKER_05: Yes, sure.
- 5:59SPEAKER_05: My sister's already showed me like the whole thing.
- 6:02SPEAKER_08: She's showing you the whole thing?
- 6:03SPEAKER_05: Not actually, but like most of it.
- 6:06SPEAKER_08: Can I tell her when she does her podcast later that you said it wasn't gonna be good?
- 6:10unknown: What?
- 6:11SPEAKER_08: That would be funny.
- 6:13SPEAKER_08: That would be funny, guys.
- 6:14SPEAKER_08: I won't do that, but I'll think about it.
- 6:16SPEAKER_08: Alright, so um what do you think is the coolest part about the fact we get to do musicals here at Weiser Park?
- 6:23SPEAKER_08: I'll start with you, QJ.
- 6:24SPEAKER_08: What's like the coolest thing about like the shows and stuff?
- 6:27SPEAKER_08: Because you guys are gonna do your show in spring for the first time.
- 6:29SPEAKER_04: Like, so just like I really don't know how to explain it.
- 6:36SPEAKER_08: Clearly.
- 6:42SPEAKER_05: Oh, oh, oh, oh, I thought you were someone uh.
- 6:46SPEAKER_08: Anyway, Ray, what's like the coolest part about the musicals?
- 6:50SPEAKER_05: It's cool, and some schools don't even get to do musicals.
- 6:54SPEAKER_08: No, not not to this level, they don't.
- 6:57SPEAKER_08: I don't think so.
- 6:57SPEAKER_08: Um, Woody.
- 6:59SPEAKER_07: It's cool because you get to hang out with your friends.
- 7:03SPEAKER_08: It's not about hanging out with your friends, it's about the show.
- 7:09SPEAKER_08: Can you sing, Woody?
- 7:11SPEAKER_08: No, can you try to sing?
- 7:13SPEAKER_07: No.
- 7:13SPEAKER_07: I can sing.
- 7:14SPEAKER_07: All right, can you just hear no?
- 7:15SPEAKER_07: I'll sing a song.
- 7:16SPEAKER_07: Can you just go, oh he's not bad.
- 7:20SPEAKER_07: He's not bad.
- 7:21SPEAKER_08: You want me to sing?
- 7:22SPEAKER_07: Yeah, you should sing.
- 7:23SPEAKER_08: You want Mr.
- 7:23SPEAKER_08: Martone, the media arts teacher to sing.
- 7:26SPEAKER_08: Yes.
- 7:26SPEAKER_08: No, I don't sing.
- 7:29SPEAKER_08: Ray, can you sing?
- 7:30SPEAKER_08: I sing just all the time.
- 7:31SPEAKER_08: All right, here's here's here.
- 7:32SPEAKER_08: Ray.
- 7:33SPEAKER_08: Ray, give us a note.
- 7:35unknown: I don't know.
- 7:36SPEAKER_04: Do same thing, guys.
- 7:38SPEAKER_08: Just go, oh.
- 7:40SPEAKER_08: That was good.
- 7:40SPEAKER_08: I liked it.
- 7:41SPEAKER_08: All right.
- 7:42SPEAKER_08: Um, should people go to the musical?
- 7:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 7:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 7:46SPEAKER_08: Should they maybe wouldn't it be great if like right now a voiceover played of where to buy tickets?
- 7:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 7:53SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 7:55SPEAKER_08: Well, you're in luck because here right now on your screen, guys, point up like this.
- 8:00SPEAKER_08: Point up on your screen.
- 8:01SPEAKER_08: Or you can look in the bio of the podcast.
- 8:04SPEAKER_08: You can get tickets to Madagascar Jr.
- 8:06SPEAKER_08: this October 14th and 15th at Southside High School.
- 8:09SPEAKER_08: Tickets are available now, so get them ready and buy them so you can support our school and make sure we can continue to do great and amazing things here at Weiser Park and at Whitney Young.
- 8:21SPEAKER_08: Who was that guy?
- 8:22SPEAKER_05: You.
- 8:23SPEAKER_08: No, I wasn't.
- 8:24SPEAKER_08: It was some voiceover guy.
- 8:25SPEAKER_08: Oh, you know what I should have done?
- 8:27SPEAKER_08: I should have done it like this.
- 8:28SPEAKER_08: You can't hear this because you don't have your headphones on, but I should have done the voice changer.
- 8:32SPEAKER_07: It would have been funnier.
- 8:34SPEAKER_07: So you don't even know.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: I can hear it.
- 8:36SPEAKER_08: You can hear it?
- 8:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you can barely hear it.
- 8:40SPEAKER_08: Well, anyway.
- 8:42SPEAKER_08: I mean, third grade, what should the people do?
- 8:45SPEAKER_08: Thanks for listening.
- 8:46SPEAKER_04: Buy tickets.
- 8:47SPEAKER_04: They should buy tickets.
- 8:48SPEAKER_08: And most importantly, they should stay.
- 8:54SPEAKER_08: Hello, everyone.
- 8:57SPEAKER_08: It's a new segment here.
- 8:59SPEAKER_08: I've got Eva and I've got Charlie.
- 9:03SPEAKER_08: Hi, guys.
- 9:04unknown: Hi.
- 9:04SPEAKER_08: Eva, you wanted to talk about what did you want to talk about today on the Quality Podcast?
- 9:09SPEAKER_06: So our idea, we're sitting on the ground.
- 9:11SPEAKER_08: I was just thinking, let's do a like a behind-the-scenes behind the scenes of the quality podcast.
- 9:19SPEAKER_08: Well, the quality podcast takes a long time to make, and it's usually me who does it.
- 9:25SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 9:25SPEAKER_08: But we usually but I do a lot of the stuff that like you guys wouldn't be able to do.
- 9:32SPEAKER_08: But you guys come up with the segment ideas mostly.
- 9:36SPEAKER_06: Most of the time.
- 9:37SPEAKER_08: Most of the time.
- 9:39SPEAKER_08: And then we put it on a program and then I we edit the audio a little bit.
- 9:44SPEAKER_08: We do watch it though.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Yes, we do.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Sometimes.
- 9:47SPEAKER_08: What do what but we do have, but I mean we are a public school, so our audio sometimes is a little shaky.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:54SPEAKER_08: But um sometimes kids are talking while you're trying to teach and trying to do stuff.
- 9:59SPEAKER_08: Right.
- 9:59SPEAKER_08: Kind of like regular.
- 10:00SPEAKER_08: Like right now.
- 10:00SPEAKER_08: Yeah, like that and they're all looking at me like I'm crazy.
- 10:03SPEAKER_08: Um, but people do want to know what we do in the class.
- 10:06SPEAKER_08: We do we make posters sometimes.
- 10:08SPEAKER_06: We do?
- 10:09SPEAKER_06: What's just a new thing?
- 10:11SPEAKER_08: I do make the posters, but you guys do the thumbnails for the videos.
- 10:15SPEAKER_08: You do that.
- 10:15SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 10:16SPEAKER_06: What we do is like sometimes we'll take turns recording it.
- 10:19SPEAKER_08: True.
- 10:20SPEAKER_08: True.
- 10:20SPEAKER_06: Right now, Jorge is behind doing all the sound stuff.
- 10:24SPEAKER_06: Hi.
- 10:24SPEAKER_08: Yep, Jorge is on the soundboard, so he is doing that.
- 10:28SPEAKER_08: Um, and then we need to check our stats.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: Yep, we just check our stats.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: We just checked our stats.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: And right now, outside of the room, they're probably talking and rolling around in Mr.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: Martin's chair.
- 10:40SPEAKER_08: That's usually what they do is mess around.
- 10:42SPEAKER_08: But they do get work done, so I can't be too mad.
- 10:45SPEAKER_08: Now, do you guys now tell everyone this is your Wednesday class.
- 10:48SPEAKER_08: Explain to the listeners what your Wednesday class is.
- 10:50SPEAKER_06: Okay, so Wednesdays, we have special at like 2.25 to 3.15.
- 10:55SPEAKER_08: And she even gave it time.
- 10:57SPEAKER_06: I do.
- 10:57SPEAKER_06: I want to stop a bit.
- 10:59SPEAKER_06: But anyways, we do the um quality podcast on Wednesday afternoons, and then right on Thursday morning I have to come early for school for the widespread news, which is Well, what how is your Wednesday class different from your other classes?
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: Well, um um well this class, you get to like actually be like on we get to be at on social media on camera.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: And this is like a very, very funny.
- 11:25SPEAKER_08: And you have this class all year.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: Yes, we have all year.
- 11:28SPEAKER_08: Yes, you'll guys will have this even after.
- 11:29SPEAKER_08: Can't get rid of us trying not to, but but yeah, that's basically it.
- 11:34SPEAKER_08: There's really too much nuance to it.
- 11:36SPEAKER_08: So that is our behind the scenes look at how a podcast is made.
- 11:40SPEAKER_06: Stay quality.
- 11:42SPEAKER_08: Hello everyone.
- 11:44SPEAKER_08: It's Mr.
- 11:45SPEAKER_08: Martone.
- 11:46SPEAKER_08: We are doing our Madagascar podcast today, and today we have some of the stars of the show.
- 11:53SPEAKER_06: We have I'm the king of New York City.
- 11:57SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 11:58SPEAKER_06: Alex Delana!
- 12:02SPEAKER_08: I didn't ask you to sing yet, but that's okay.
- 12:05SPEAKER_08: All right, so we have River.
- 12:08SPEAKER_08: River, can you tell us who you are playing?
- 12:11SPEAKER_06: So I'm the hippo Gloria.
- 12:14SPEAKER_06: If you never watch Madagascar, she's like a sassy, like big hippo.
- 12:19SPEAKER_08: Wow, we really didn't typecast this one.
- 12:21SPEAKER_08: Um Zoe, you are playing Alex.
- 12:24SPEAKER_06: Alex the Lion.
- 12:25SPEAKER_06: Yes, um, he's very like main character.
- 12:31SPEAKER_08: Adelaide, who are you playing?
- 12:33SPEAKER_06: Well, so I'm the understudy of Marty.
- 12:36SPEAKER_08: Well, you're so you're playing Marty.
- 12:38SPEAKER_08: You're playing Marty.
- 12:39SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 12:40SPEAKER_08: Alright, so I'm gonna start.
- 12:41SPEAKER_08: This is a real simple question.
- 12:42SPEAKER_06: Can I say something?
- 12:43SPEAKER_08: I mean, you just interrupt me all the time, so go ahead.
- 12:46SPEAKER_06: So the main four leads are there's a giraffe, which is Melman, there's uh hippo, which is Gloria, there's a zebra, which is Marty.
- 12:56SPEAKER_06: We know there's yeah, we know.
- 12:57SPEAKER_06: I was getting to that.
- 12:58SPEAKER_06: Technically it's me.
- 13:00SPEAKER_08: So let's get into this.
- 13:02SPEAKER_08: I want to start with River.
- 13:05SPEAKER_08: River, what has been the most challenging part of the show so far?
- 13:09SPEAKER_06: Probably Memorizing my lines is not that hard.
- 13:18SPEAKER_06: But when I wasn't there one day and I had to learn this dance.
- 13:24SPEAKER_06: So maybe that.
- 13:26SPEAKER_08: The dancing part.
- 13:26SPEAKER_08: Zoe, what about you?
- 13:28SPEAKER_06: Um, I think what's kind of hard is um, well, I kind of have two.
- 13:33SPEAKER_06: The first one is um, because I have an understudy, we take turns doing it.
- 13:37SPEAKER_06: And it's kind of sometimes like only one person does it per day, and you kind of just I don't know, kind of doze off, and then the time when Mr.
- 13:46SPEAKER_06: Curtis has you do it, then you don't know what to do.
- 13:49SPEAKER_08: So that would be challenging.
- 13:51SPEAKER_08: What about you?
- 13:52SPEAKER_06: I agree with Zoe, but I also agree with Herver too.
- 13:55SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 13:55SPEAKER_06: Wait, let me wait, I add one more.
- 13:56SPEAKER_08: Okay, go ahead.
- 13:57SPEAKER_06: Um it's also um what what how you like you practice how you play?
- 14:04SPEAKER_06: Because like some of the stuff I have to do is kind of embarrassing.
- 14:08SPEAKER_06: Like I have to roar really loud.
- 14:11SPEAKER_08: Move your mic away and give us a practice roar.
- 14:18SPEAKER_08: That was impressive.
- 14:20SPEAKER_08: Wow, let's give her a round of applause.
- 14:24SPEAKER_06: Please do the applause.
- 14:26SPEAKER_08: All right.
- 14:26SPEAKER_08: So can well now we now please, uh, before I ask this, uh, Universal Studios, uh, please don't sue us.
- 14:35SPEAKER_08: Um, can you sing um one?
- 14:38SPEAKER_08: Can you sing just like a little snippet of your favorite song?
- 14:42SPEAKER_08: River, sing your sing just a little snippet.
- 14:45SPEAKER_08: Um just to get people, we want to we want people to come to the show.
