Robby Albarado, the legendary retired jockey with over 5,200 wins and a career worth more than $221 million, passed away at 52 in his sleep in Saratoga Springs. Still riding horses as an exercise rider in the mornings after retiring in 2021, he’d recently undergone a heart procedure — a stent placement followed by another cardiac event — and was staying with trainer Ken McPeek.
