Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning friends and enemies.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: In today's video, we are going through the top thirty six wide receiver rankings for twenty twenty five fantasy football yesterday.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: We did the top thirty six running backs.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you missed that, we will link it in the show notes down below.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: You can go check it out.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: But today top thirty six wide receivers as we did yesterday.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing it in a half.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: PPR setting, adjust accordingly for your leagues.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: And as we did yesterday, we were jumping into the draft guide because we have this beautiful product available to us.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: Why not use it in our videos, okay?
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: You could see all the rankings to the left there.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: So if you just didn't want to see anything else, you can simply exit out, but I want to give you as much context as I can within this video to help you make.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: informed, educated, semi, probably not too smart decisions, but the smartest decision you can make in your draft is Jamar Chase at the one of one of his available half PPR full PPR does not matter.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: He is now in a league of his own.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: As far as I'm concerned, I mean his biggest projection you could see at thirteen hundred and five receiving yards.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: on the surface doesn't seem very high, but when you compare it to every other player in Vegas, it is very, very high.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that is a large number because they take into account injuries and they bake that into the rejection.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: So don't worry about the raw number.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's the highest that the reason Vegas, Jamar Chase is coming off the triple crown year.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: Don't overthink it.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you have the one on one in your draft, you want to take Mr. Jamar Chase.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: After that, I've recently moved CD Lamb above Justin Jefferson.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Some minor injury concerns with Justin Jefferson pulled his hamstring and Kevin O'Connell said he will be sitting out until the regular season.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not overly worried about it.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's my wide receiver three, but when I think about CD Lamb and when I think about just what this offense brings here, within the draft guide to have all these numbers for you.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: But I think about the last time that him and DAC played together a full healthy season, hundred and eighty one targets, hundred and thirty five catches, seventeen, hundred, forty nine yards.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: You bring pickings over and maybe that capsist target ceiling, like maybe you won't get one eighty again, but you just simply can't put a safety over the top when you have pickings running routes on the other side.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Him and Dak obviously have a legit chemistry.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at his playoff strength, the schedule, seventh in the NFL, pace of offense last year was first in the NFL.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: They're playing a dome.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: You get to watch him six times in prime time games.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Lot of fun to have a guy like CDLAM.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: Also think this defense could just be something that bottoms out here and they just have to pass the ball a million times over.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: So CDs might too Jefferson's my three and then you've got this tier and I hate to like even have to rank one guy over the other but Nico Puka Malik neighbors Brian Thomas and Amon Ross Saint Brown
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: or the next six guys, five guys that go after each other, I love them all.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: I really think the best draft pick to have in this year's draft is the back end of the first, because there's a really good chance that you're able to stack two of these guys together.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: If you told me any of them, Nico, Puka, Malik neighbors, Brian Thomas, Jr., led all fantasy-wide receivers in point scored.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: I would not bat in I. If any of them led the league in receiving arts or receptions, I think Nico coming back with CJ Straud, I think he's going to be a good bounce back candidate.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think this run game is going to be bad without Joe Nixon, possibly missing time with a really bad offensive line.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to have to go.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: super duper pass heavy and Nico is going to be the dude for them.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: They're obviously Puka.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's just a peepy art monster.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's a dude who's average nearly ten targets a game since stepping foot on the field and I'm sure he's there and he's going to eat up some targets, but like Puka's chemistry and the fact that Puka is just the guy who has become their motion guy.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: He has become the guy that they move around the line of scrimmage.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: As you can see within the little right up we have here is reception, perception, numbers are insane, eighty-fifth percentile success rate versus man, ninety-first versus zone, and ninety-second versus press.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: Vegas projections have them at twelve hundred and five receiving yards, which is better than everybody in the NFL except for Jamar Chase.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: So Puka, Malik, BTJ, I think they're all really obvious candidates here to just be phenomenal picks and fantasy football.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on Ross St.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Brown at the YC for eight.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, just an extremely high floor player has finished as the YC for three.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: The YC for three and the YC for seven over the last three years.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really see a cause for concern as to why he won't be a goat again.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Drake London at the wide receiver nine when I think about Drake London.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I, I, a lot of good feelings go through my body if I'm going to be honest, but I'm, I'm excited to see what him and Michael Panics can do together when you take a look at this Falcons offense man.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's Loki a great environment.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not even Loki.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: They're not expected to be some explosive team.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Their win totals only at seven and a half wins as you could see here, but they have a great fantasy playoff strength of schedule.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to the fact that they play in the NFC South.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: They have a really good offensive line, so Penix will have time.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: They have a high-paced offense as well, which is something that's not really talked about, or he Morris runs a pretty fast-paced offense.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: They play in a dome and just his target shared numbers when Penix was on the field.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, he owned fifty percent of Atlantis targets inside the ten-yard line.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: led the NFL with a thirty nine point four percent red zone target chair, right?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: His touchdown upside is through the roof.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: He is the guy that they look at every single time they're down there when they're not handing it off to be John Robinson.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: So let me some Drake London, AJ Brown, I'm okay with that.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you ever ten, lad McConkey, I'm okay with that.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you ever eleven now there was some news that came out a little bit earlier today that Keenan Allen is visiting the L.A.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: Chargers facility.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: And this always made a little bit of sense.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: If he was going to return and play for a team, I feel like he fits really well with LA.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, he's comfortable with the city.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's comfortable being there.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's obviously played and been very successful with Justin Herbert.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: I do think when I think about lad Maconkey and just like his incredible rookie year, I think you'd have to imagine that King Allen eats into this a little bit.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I think with lad Maconkey, I don't move him down in my positional ranks, but
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: like we have obviously overall in flex rankings and super flex rankings.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Latamaconkey's a dude that in my overall rankings, I probably had him around player, nineteen or twenty, and then the next receiver on here, JSN was probably around like twenty, eight, twenty, nine.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think the addition of Keenan Allen, why it's not going to like move Latamaconkey drastically, it might make me second guess if I want to put him at pick, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, and probably closer to the end of the second round.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like Keenan Allen,
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: is likely dust and he's probably not going to make a huge fantasy impact on laddama conki, but I would think that given what they have at Widersy, where you have Quentin Johnson, who can't catch the ball, you have a rookie in trayharrers, you have another rookie in counter-elaborate Smith who looked really good in the first preseason game at the end of the day, like Keenan Allen's gonna step on the field and play a lot of snaps for this team and take even if it's just eighty targets this year, that's still eighty targets that matter in a relatively low passing volume offense.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think you have to dock lad Maconkey a little bit.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like in the overall rankings, I'll move him down slightly, but he's not going to shift in my wide receiver rankings.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: After that, you got Jason, you got to Higgins, you got Garrett Wilson at the thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, two, open up the high end wide receiver, twos.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: I like Jason to just be a target vacuum out there in Seattle with his new quarterback Sam Donald.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm cautiously optimistic that this offense can be okay with Clint Kubiak coming over to it, but I don't want to like harp on the ceiling that I'm not sure really exists there for the Seattle passing offense.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, Diggins was obviously a monster last year with Burl, their defense should be questionable once again and have to throw the ball million times.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all know I have been pretty off of the New York Jets.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I don't have a lot of faith in this passing game, the consistency, the upside, anything like that.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: So Garrett Wilson, listen, I got him at Widershoe for fourteen.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think if he drops into like the late third early fourth round, especially in a half or full PPR type of league, we're going to be okay drafting him.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, but again, like his Vegas projection for receiving touchdowns is just four and a half.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is not a team that's expected to put up a lot of points.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: This is not a team.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: That I think is going to try to operate through the air often.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to try to win games on the ground between Braylon Allen and Breeze Hall and Justin Field and then try to win with their defense.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: So Garrett Wilson's fine, but I'm not going over the moon about him.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: You got Terry, there's obviously this risk here.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we have him tagged as a risky player because of what's going on with the contract now.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think they get something done.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Most of this like trade request sheet that we're hearing from Terry that we're hearing from like a parsons that we're hearing from all these guys I want new contracts are just that it's just posturing to get a new contract like you're showing up you're being around the fans you're being around the media you want people to like love you and you want
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: the fans to put pressure on the franchise, and that's why you do stuff like that, that's why you're seeing it with Terry.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they get something done.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: That being said, though, if it takes all summer, then you know, you're missing out on a lot of the building throughout the summer that has caused a lot of receivers
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: in recent years to get off the slow start.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think like the longer Terry holds out for in the longer there's not a deal in place.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: The risk of your he becomes that being said he's still an incredible wide receiver one for an up and coming like superstar at the quarterback position and I don't want to overemphasize and start to knock him out of the wide receiver to range.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: I still like drafting Terry even in the baked in risk.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: I got Mike Evans at seventeen.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: I got Devontate Adams at sixteen.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: I got Mike Evans at seventeen and Evans is a tough a tough case.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Not a tough case.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, but actually like the least tough case because we know exactly what he's getting.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: I will say like with Mike Evans, I think you have the inherent like he's eventually going to hit the age cliff there.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: So every year that goes by gets a little bit more risk even if it's just tacking on a little five percent tag on top of them.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: They drafted a Mecca, Buco, who is just getting nonstop praise from Tampa Bay.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: And Chris Godwin, I do think he probably starts on the pup, but I do think it also needs to be noted that one, they have a new OC for the second year in a row.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: But two, in games when Godwin played last year, Evans was just the wide receiver, twenty in fantasy.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so still a good player.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like I have them at Widersy for Seventeen and we are expecting God when to miss time.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: So that does give Evans a boost for at least a specific portion of the year.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think there's a little bit of a resencibious in what we believe Mike Evans to be versus what his actual situation is in twenty twenty five.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: So really strong Widersy for two, but won't go too deep into Atari kill.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think has risk ran all over it.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just think NFL teams have kind of figured out this Miami offense and they're just not going to allow them to
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: throw the ball deep here.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm out on, uh, I'm out on the Miami passing game on less outside of Devon HN who absolutely love, but outside of HN like the receivers, those players, they would have to fall pretty significantly in drafts for me to want to press the draft button on them.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: As you could see in my rankings, and this will reflect itself in where he sits and like the overall and the flex rankings, I think I have Tyree Kill as like player forty in my rankings, which is outside of the top three rounds.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going off of my draft guide, you are not going to end up with Tyree Kill on your team.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel good about having you guys who watch me not have Tyree Kill on your fantasy team.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: this year.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: So if you caught the draft guide, which is available on bdge.co, full price right now, because it did go live yesterday on August first.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: However, we have a very, very discounted price for you guys.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: If you're on the website and you click partner offers up there on the top left.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Partner offers will give you instructions on how you can get the draft guide for just ten bucks, extremely discounted price.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: If you go to the partner offers link on the top left up there.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: So bdge.co.draft guide is available for you.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing you can do too in the draft guide, which is pretty neat is you can select the players.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, if you wanted to use a little bit of like a tiebreaker matrix, we have this graph available for you guys.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: So it's stretched out.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: My screen is like very, very long.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: So it's stretched out, but it works perfectly in mobile.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's fucking
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: beautiful for you and you could look at any of these stats that we had in the tiebreaker matrix here.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: They're Vegas receiving yards.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: How often they're playing in the slot.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're projected team went total fantasy playoff strength schedule and you can compare them next to each other.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like the point of this product is to help you make the best decision when you are on the clock in your draft.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: That is like the North Star of this product.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: We wanted to build these useful tools around that.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: So you might be on the clock and you might look at, you know, Nico versus Brian Thomas and say, Hey, Nico plays in a dome here.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'd rather have him on my team, or you might look at, um, League Neighbors and say, hey, he's got a much better fantasy playoff strength, the schedule.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to lean that way, or you might say, hey, Pook has got a better Vegas receiving yardage line, right?
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they're all little tie breakers.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's what this tool is called, the tie breaker matrix.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: So you can compare, contrast, do all that kind of stuff, mark players off as drafted, if you are using this in real time in your drafts, etc.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: So after my Gavans, we have Tyree Kill, we have Cortland Sutton who I think is a rock solid, wide receiver, two out there in Denver.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: We've got Marvin Harrison, Jr.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: Devante Smith, George Pickins, Calvin Ridley, and James and Williams wrapping up the wide receiver, two's.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Marvin Harrison Jr., you know, you have to acknowledge the upside and the fact that he was a top five pick going into year two.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: I just question if Drew Petzin can figure it out.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: I do, if I had to bet money, I think this offense runs through the passing game, runs through Tray McBride, for at least one more year.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be the focal point of this passing game.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think he has more targets than Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: at the end of the year.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: And if that's the case, I think you're going to be hard pressed to draft Marvin Harrison as like a top twelve guy.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: But if I end up with them on my team, like, I'm not going to be pissed about it.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the upside does sit there with Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Montois Smith, George Pickings.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Calvin Ridley is a dude that I absolutely love that talk about him at nauseam.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I'm way higher on Ridley than anyone else in the industry to be honest with you.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I have him at Widership of twenty three.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: I want you guys.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: If you are drafting your fantasy teams using my draft guide, like I want Calvin Ridley to end up on your team.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he's the twenty-third pick here, but he's a guy that you're going to be able to get in the six or seventh round of your draft.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: So great value here.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: After that, we got Jamal Williams, and then one of the more interesting back-to-back rankings are Xavier worthy and Rashi Rice.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can't really compare the two because most of their objective stats are the same.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: There's not gonna be any numbers for Rice up in Vegas right now, obviously, with the suspension looming.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: Xavier worthy's up at eight twenty five point five, six point five.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: Touchdowns and we did a full Vegas video a couple days ago that jumped into projections of like how likely is this guy to go for a thousand yards, so a hundred fifty yards, but you guys really liked and I went in depth on Xavier worthy and I think his upside is definitely prevalent here in this ranking.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: If Rashi Rice misses a bunch of time with this suspension, there's a good chance at Xavier worthy just kind of goes nuclear over the first half of the year.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: The reports out of camp between worthy in my homes sound pretty good, so we're going to keep them there.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Rice is obviously going to be a moving target all summer long until we hear concrete news about his suspension light.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Z-flowers at twenty seven.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: Good, but not great fantasy player low volume passing offense out there in Baltimore.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: He really hasn't cracked like the top
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, twenty five fantasy wide receivers yet and Lamar is coming off of, you know, in all time year his career best across the board and passing and say flowers at the end of the day, you know, cracked a thousand yards, but four touchdowns.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's just not involved in the red zone.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: They just run the ball every time they're down there.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard press to say there's a lot of upside with Mr. Zay, but in a PBR league, you're going to feel fine with him as your wide receiver three of your flex DK Metcalf.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: You got DJ Moore and Roman Dunesay.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's another one I should probably talk about here.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: So you got DJ Moore at wide receiver twenty nine.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: I got Roman Dunesay at wide receiver thirty.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be honest.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fully Roman Dunesay piled.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have a very strong take on him throughout most of the summer.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: But I am I'm pretty all in on him right now.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: I have him back to back with DJ Moore.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Moore's been the one there, but from everything I'm hearing out of camp every little note that I paid attention to everyone that I trust that's a reporter out there has pretty much said the same thing and it's that it's very clear that Rome is going to be the guy this year.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Rome is going to take the step to be the wide receiver one.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: When you hear about Ben Johnson talking about Roman pressers, like he came out and he was like, yeah, Rome is a pure extra receiver, which was not the position he played last year.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, Rome can win any type of coverage.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: He can win any type of route you're playing.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is a guy that we're going to utilize really heavily.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: in the position that he was made to play.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: So Rome's going to dominate on the outside this year.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: You pair that with Caleb Williams strong arm.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm really excited with this revamped offensive system offensive line.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in on Roman doomsday.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's one of my most draft like breakout players of the year.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to pay the Marvin Harrison price for him.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Even though he's got similar draft capital.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I'm just very, very in on Roman doomsday this year.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: I get why people would think he's risky and if you don't feel the same way that is fine, but I'm just telling you where I stand right now.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: I can't point to a lot of statistics last year that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside because they don't really exist, but I believe in Rome as a player and I believe in what Ben Johnson is going to do in Chicago this year.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Right after Rome, we got set McMillan the rookie, the first rookie in my rankings out there in Carolina, you know, number eight overall pick.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: If Bryce Young takes a step forward, that's going to be, you know, a huge reason why and could immediately just enter that massive rookie breakout second half of the year, even earlier than I think he'll come in a bunch of targets right out of the gate.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: He was one of the most prolific college wide receivers in this year's class and over the last couple of years.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like he just did it consistently.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's not really like an upside projection.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's already been there done that and created out everything really well.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: So a big fan of tech Chris Alava have it down at wide receiver thirty two.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: He's like kind of a target for me.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's like a great value and if I end up with him as my wide receiver three flex and PPR, I'm going to feel good about it a lot.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: At the end of the day, when he is healthy and he's on the field, which is an if a little bit with a concussion, which I'm not really going to try to read into too much.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: At the end of the day, he's a thousand-hour receiver every time he's healthy.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like his individual numbers, his analytics, his statistics, just point to being one of the better receivers in football.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't want to like dive too deep into resencibias over like what happened last year that broke wrong for them.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's the same reason I have Devonta Smith up at like twenty one where it's always this recycling of these really talented guys who are like white or silver twos threes, but we just rank one over the other because of what they did last year, even though they're just as talented as the other guys and their situation doesn't change really.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: They just so happened to have had a couple things break wrong last year.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not betting on that to happen twice in a row.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: That I don't know if that makes any sense.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's just very much like Devante Smith and Chris Alave were both looked at as like second round picks last year.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: They both had unlucky years last year and it's like they're going into pretty much the same situation.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: A little bit different for Alave.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's got the quarterback question marks.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, but they're going to be a bad team and they're going to have to throw the ball like five hundred and eighty five plus times this year.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: And Alave's a guy who will command twenty seven percent of the targets and
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: He'll have a hundred and forty targets by the end of the year and I'm in on a lot of as a nice floor play.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: We've got Travis Hunter right behind him.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Hunter's got all the upside in the world.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, if Liam Cohen can hit building this offense around Trevor Lawrence and Travis Hunter plays a lot of the snaps on offense.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: We still don't have a clear picture on what Travis Hunter is going to do.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we've had a lot of reports coming out of camp about
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: where Travis Hunter's been playing, he's taking full practices with the defense, full practices with the offense.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: I still think he's a one cent in generation type of player and he's going to play both sides of the ball and he's going to play a lot of both sides of the ball.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: But I still think you need to factor in the, you know, with him playing double the amount of snaps.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_00]: You have double the chance of getting injured.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the stamina's obviously going to be a real thing.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's not as easy to
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: go out and tackle a running back and then have to run a go route.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it'll be very involved around the line of scrimmage.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll get them involved with screens.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'll take some shots down field, but BJ is the alpha there.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I'd be okay.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: And this might be a bad mindset to have.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'd be okay on letting someone else draft Travis Hunter for year one.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: And once we feel really good about who he is and what role is going to have in Jacksonville.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Then I'm okay drafting him into the future.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: After Hunter, we've got Jayden Wattle, thirty-four, Jacobie Myers at thirty-five, Joanne Jennings at thirty-six.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: You just have a lot of really good value picks.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: After Travis Hunter, that are a lot of the same players.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: After him, I've got like the Clealsha Keers, the Jane Reeds, Josh Downs, all of whom I like to pepper, you know, the seventh eighth ninth round with two, just like stack my line up a little bit.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's crazy.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: You got your Kobe down at thirty five.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: That feels super undervalued.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, it's like, I'm not really going to put them all the way up above D.K.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: Metcalf.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to put them above Roma Dunes A or Tent McMillan who can have like monster ceiling breakout years.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: So as much as everybody likes to say, like, oh, jocobie Myers, the most undervalued player.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, yeah, but he still probably needs to get drafted between water, silver, thirty and thirty five at the end of the day, which is a good value.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm, I'm happy to take him in the seventh or eighth round with the, with the quarterback upgrade of Geno Smith and
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: when I think should be just so overall offensive upgrade with P Carol and Chip Kelly coming in.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then Joanne Jennings actually moved Jennings down a little bit before I started filming this video and you know, all my rankings, everything in the draft guide is like interactive obviously I will be updating it throughout the entire summer.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: any time something happens, any time news breaks, any time injuries happen or whatever, all these rankings and all of the articles and stuff will be updated throughout the summer.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't have to worry about that.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: I just moved down to Juan Jennings either this morning or yesterday because of the calf strain that he suffered apparently.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's a calf thing that he was dealing with earlier on in like OTAs and voluntary mini camp and all that kind of stuff and now he just kind of retweeted it.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's sitting out again.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't love that, right?
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm not going to severely penalize him.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think I actually updated his right up based on this.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, injury update.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: Joanne Jennings is now sideline training camp with a calf strain that bothered him early on in the summer.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have word on the severity yet.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: So we don't want to overreact.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to me.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: Read my own fucking mind.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: If it's a grade one strain, we'll buy the dip, given that you should only be sideline for a couple weeks.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: So a grade one is a normal hamstring calf pull where you're out probably.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: Some are between like two and three weeks, which is fine at this point in the summer.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: However, if it is a grade two strain, that's like a five, six week time line typically for you to get back to full strength.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Now we are dipping into the regular season.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: And as I say, every off season, it's like, don't find injuries.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: Don't go buying dudes who are injured entering the year, because throughout the year, injuries are going to find you.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, so if they're going into the year injured, they're just off my radar.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not there with Joanne Jennings, obviously.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: If it's grade one, I'm fine with it because it's not a player.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: Joanne is familiar with Kyle Shanahan.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's familiar with the schemes familiar with Brock Perti.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: So like, of course, the practice reps are always valuable, but they're not needed for him because he's so comfortable with the system already.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll keep an eye on his reports.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could enter the year legit as their wide receiver one.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't hold up over Rikki P over I.U.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: returning eventually.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but I do think it'll be a very strong play for like a good ten week period.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: So I like Joanne Jennings as the bottom of the wide receiver three category here.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: So these are my top thirty six wide receivers for twenty twenty five fantasy football and they will be changing all the time.
