- 3:53Speaker 1: We having a episode. Were having some fun, listen, I
- 3:55Speaker 1: know we we have not got a chance to talk
- 3:57Speaker 1: about this. Happy that you were here. We're about talking
- 3:59Speaker 1: about this right now, Come on, man, the CEO and
- 4:02Speaker 1: miss h you know what I'm saying. At the Coldplay concert,
- 4:05Speaker 1: my boy was outside with his side piece having a
- 4:07Speaker 1: blast and got caught on the kiss cam. Loaded Drake
- 4:11Speaker 1: like that was tough.
- 4:15Speaker 3: They said they was in a sweep.
- 4:17Speaker 1: He called them out too. That is crazy. I would
- 4:21Speaker 1: have to go around to and say, how would y'all
- 4:23Speaker 1: act in that moment? I don't know. I wouldn't even
- 4:26Speaker 1: put myself in that moment. Yeah me, I'm gonna give
- 4:29Speaker 1: y'all real answer. I would have just stayed there right
- 4:32Speaker 1: as well, because the video would have never surfec because
- 4:34Speaker 1: they would have really thought we was a thing that no,
- 4:38Speaker 1: y'all hold on, did y'all not hear that?
- 4:41Speaker 3: Man say?
- 4:42Speaker 1: They they started running around?
- 4:45Speaker 3: They made it too crazy though they.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Made it high. I would have pointed at the carav
- 4:49Speaker 1: been like, yeah, we made it.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I would have grabbed her here even if the side
- 4:53Speaker 2: piece you just if you playing in normal then I
- 4:57Speaker 2: don't think everybody would have reacted like that.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Please go back to the see how comfortable that was.
- 5:03Speaker 3: I feel like that now.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Whoever it was he knew too much about Buddy bro.
- 5:06Speaker 1: He is the CEO of a company and she is
- 5:08Speaker 1: the HR head of the company. That's what makes it funnier. Yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: because okay, bro duck down he got.
- 5:20Speaker 3: She turned around like like, that's what.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Kilt it right there?
- 5:23Speaker 4: She said, Oh lord, you can't be scared of them
- 5:26Speaker 4: we got.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Us, I would have just start putting my hands up.
- 5:31Speaker 1: He would. Yeah, everything this campbout to be half by
- 5:34Speaker 1: the fucking morning. Oh man, that's crazy. Man. Shout out
- 5:42Speaker 1: to the people outside doing what they gotta do, for sure.
- 5:44Speaker 1: But how you live? You know what I'm saying. You're
- 5:45Speaker 1: doing everything right now, couch and getting fly you on TV?
- 5:48Speaker 1: How is life treating?
- 5:50Speaker 3: I mean, life is good for me, you know. I
- 5:51Speaker 3: just focus on whatever is in front of me.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Like when we got when when Tea Spoon got fired
- 5:58Speaker 2: from Chicago, we didn't know that was gonna happen, and
- 6:00Speaker 2: so luckily I had already signed my deal to do
- 6:04Speaker 2: like the TV show.
- 6:05Speaker 3: So I just you know, work with what I got
- 6:06Speaker 3: going on.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Man, what a transition. Let's start to the ortion of
- 6:11Speaker 1: it obviously. You know what I'm saying. Want the coaches
- 6:12Speaker 1: to do. You know what I'm saying. Growing up where
- 6:13Speaker 1: youre growing up? Landy High School with Jordan went to school,
- 6:16Speaker 1: you go to James Madison. What's that life like for you?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Being caught in your city and then you go to
- 6:20Speaker 1: James Madison.
- 6:23Speaker 2: You know, I went to a school where I felt
- 6:25Speaker 2: like I could play right away and I knew going
- 6:27Speaker 2: to JAMU, I didn't have to sit behind those scenes.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I didn't have to wait like I was going to
- 6:31Speaker 2: be a media impact. I was going to be able
- 6:33Speaker 2: to do my thing. And that was one of the
- 6:34Speaker 2: reasons I went there. And you know, when you go
- 6:37Speaker 2: from being that star player and you go to like
- 6:40Speaker 2: I didn't really experience it until the league. So in
- 6:43Speaker 2: college I still got to play freely and do my thing,
- 6:47Speaker 2: and that's what I feel like helped me prepare for,
- 6:50Speaker 2: you know, the next level, because I'm getting it in
- 6:52Speaker 2: right from the jump.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Yeah, because you had went to the other schools like
- 6:55Speaker 1: Carolina Autumn Carolina schools. Because you had went.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Carolina was late with recruiting me.
- 7:02Speaker 2: N C State was a school that my high school like,
- 7:05Speaker 2: it was our team thing to go to. So those
- 7:08Speaker 2: were schools that I was looking at, being from North Carolina.
- 7:10Speaker 2: But when they wasn't really recruit me, I said the
- 7:12Speaker 2: hell with it.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel that straight up. And you talk about
- 7:15Speaker 1: this all time as a coach. Go somewhere where you
- 7:16Speaker 1: can go and get your shit off, somewhere just because
- 7:19Speaker 1: it's the name, where you sit behind people, Go where
- 7:21Speaker 1: you can get on the court and the most successful
- 7:23Speaker 1: people go to schools where they play right away.
- 7:26Speaker 3: You need that experience't get no experience on the bench.
- 7:29Speaker 1: No, hell.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Y'all would recommend a kid to go to a smaller
- 7:35Speaker 4: school more so than like a like a big school.
- 7:38Speaker 1: After gate ship be here and shiit go where you celebrated.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Now you tolerateed well for me now in this climate,
- 7:43Speaker 1: like you can go to a small school kill and
- 7:46Speaker 1: get a lot of money. Yeah, that's true. You know
- 7:49Speaker 1: what I mean, you can go, that's true.
- 7:52Speaker 4: You're right, Yeah, that's everybody got a little paper.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Now, yeah, R conversation, Now change your decision. You're still
- 7:59Speaker 1: going where you or she's going to get the paper?
- 8:04Speaker 3: It depends, you know.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Like I can't really say because I didn't experience it,
- 8:08Speaker 2: but I felt like even at JAMU, I probably would
- 8:10Speaker 2: have got the paper too.
- 8:11Speaker 1: All right, let's let's put the scenario out there. Let's
- 8:13Speaker 1: say you got fifty thousand that ju Jmu and you
- 8:18Speaker 1: got five hundred thousand at Carolina. But you know you're
- 8:21Speaker 1: gonna sit the bench. You know.
- 8:24Speaker 3: It's a big difference the way that I love the game.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Though, I would have went to JAMU because I would
- 8:30Speaker 2: have felt like I would have worked myself into getting
- 8:32Speaker 2: a bigger bag later.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I hate.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I don't like like I worked to her. I don't
- 8:37Speaker 2: like sitting the bench, you know, as a hoop, as
- 8:39Speaker 2: a competitor, you know. So I feel like I would
- 8:42Speaker 2: have still went to Jamu and got the bag eventually.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I never been a tight to just chase bread though.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 3: It depends on the person and what you what you're chasing.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I fuck with that. My parents would have been
- 8:53Speaker 1: like you going, Carolina. Yeah, but I'm just thinking, like,
- 8:57Speaker 1: if you're in.
- 8:57Speaker 4: That position, like, I fuck with that story, work work hard,
- 9:01Speaker 4: grind hard. God damn, I feel like you have to
- 9:07Speaker 4: take that same competitive.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Position.
- 9:19Speaker 2: But after being in the league and dealing with politics,
- 9:21Speaker 2: you know, you better than players and you beat them
- 9:23Speaker 2: out in practice and you still be on the bench.
- 9:25Speaker 1: That's true. Damn. So politics is heavy and women's basketball,
- 9:29Speaker 1: every basketball. I didn't know.
- 9:30Speaker 4: That's news to me.
- 9:32Speaker 3: It's heavy in the world.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't know girls was getting you know, black
- 9:37Speaker 4: ball like that just the best player to play ship.
- 9:41Speaker 1: No, that's not true. Every little and everything, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 1: it's it takes a little different conversation. That's not true. Damn.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So what's the experience, like, you know campus, you know
- 9:50Speaker 1: what I'm saying, and you like the one on campus?
- 9:54Speaker 3: I mean it was it was amazing, like everybody's showing love.
- 9:57Speaker 3: But I also was like a workaholic.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So even though I was the best player, I still
- 10:02Speaker 2: was the hardest working player on my team. And I
- 10:05Speaker 2: think that just was rooted in high school because I
- 10:08Speaker 2: was you know, I would get spoiled and I try
- 10:10Speaker 2: to do things, but then my coach would punish me immediately.
- 10:13Speaker 2: So even being the start player in high school, my
- 10:15Speaker 2: coach wasn't going for none of that. So I felt
- 10:18Speaker 2: like that helped me transition to college and still being
- 10:21Speaker 2: a star player but still having.
- 10:22Speaker 3: That work ethic.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Do we still see that with kids now? Obviously with
- 10:25Speaker 1: your coach and like I know, especially in your day,
- 10:28Speaker 1: it didn't matter who it was, they was hard on whoever.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But nowadays, like with the social media and stuff like that,
- 10:32Speaker 1: if I got a million followers before I go to college, coach,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you really can't tell me I'm doing suicide. Like bro, Really,
- 10:38Speaker 1: they don't really run and stuff in college no more,
- 10:41Speaker 1: m because like going to these visits with kids and stuff,
- 10:44Speaker 1: they don't do that no more, like all the stuff
- 10:46Speaker 1: we went through. They don't do it no more, they said,
- 10:48Speaker 1: because it's too too valuable. Like I'm giving you a
- 10:51Speaker 1: million dollars if you get hurt while we're training and
- 10:54Speaker 1: you gotta sit out because you pulled a hamstring, you
- 11:00Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like my job on the line,
- 11:02Speaker 1: they like conditionings, Oh no, we just play. We don't
- 11:05Speaker 1: do condition I was like, what, because you know they
- 11:07Speaker 1: saying it to kids that go to my school. I'm
- 11:10Speaker 1: we running miles and they like, we don't do miles
- 11:12Speaker 1: no more.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Like the time, I'm like what you saying.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Supposed to stay in shape, though I don't. I feel
- 11:19Speaker 1: like you're on contract if you know, you get following
- 11:22Speaker 1: too much? Though, bro, I don't like that ship. No.
- 11:25Speaker 1: You know, if you like got too much, they got
- 11:27Speaker 1: you on contract. Your body fat is too high. If
- 11:30Speaker 1: you don't meet certain requirements, you get fine.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So I don't got to do that. You're gonna be
- 11:35Speaker 1: in shape where you're gonna get fine. People will play
- 11:37Speaker 1: when they need that money. Okay, four million, and they
- 11:41Speaker 1: say you ain't making your We're gonna find you ten
- 11:43Speaker 1: thousand every time you don't meet this, you're gonna be
- 11:45Speaker 1: like different. Damn. That's crazy, especially like some of the
- 11:49Speaker 1: players we've had on recently talking about what they had
- 11:51Speaker 1: to deal with. You know, we had Gabby Wheels, she
- 11:53Speaker 1: won a national championship and some minte rights after. That's crazy.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Now they pulling up the campus with the y'all men's
- 12:00Speaker 1: like before we pull up, how much money was getting college?
- 12:04Speaker 1: You can say that now you was getting somewhere for
- 12:06Speaker 1: fifteen hundred dollars, ain't it?
- 12:08Speaker 2: Bro?
- 12:09Speaker 3: I was getting no money in college?
- 12:10Speaker 1: You boos was out of the pocket. It was popular.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I wasn't. I wasn't getting no bread. We wasn't
- 12:17Speaker 3: none of that, bro.
- 12:18Speaker 1: She was hitting her hands.
- 12:21Speaker 4: She's trying to go back to didn't want I didn't
- 12:23Speaker 4: want her to transfer, trying to go back.
- 12:26Speaker 1: To the church. Has already left out.
- 12:28Speaker 3: She's trying to get no bread.
- 12:31Speaker 1: She's trying to get you.
- 12:32Speaker 2: She's trying funny, Anna, I was rich with the fifteen
- 12:37Speaker 2: hundred paragram she kicks wait.
- 12:40Speaker 1: For us already. That wrote me off. It's a good baby.
- 12:45Speaker 1: You're from the trenches. I don't know if she grew
- 12:47Speaker 1: up like you.
- 12:48Speaker 4: She was probably cool with that fifteen family does. He
- 12:51Speaker 4: acts like he's from the under the god damn great
- 12:54Speaker 4: for real? Yeah, I got Hunter is probably smooth for real.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Yours is like I got foster brothers and sisters. They count, yes, Yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 1: they start coming back around about two months ago. One
- 13:08Speaker 1: of my foster brothers and sister. Well you act fake now.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Biggs only in the house for three months.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Brother, having the ten brothers, we got to have some fun.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Time is to be here. Barbie. Oh man, she showed
- 13:25Speaker 1: up to work three episodes in a row. This is uh,
- 13:28Speaker 1: let's get her around. Yeah, shout out to bar you
- 13:31Speaker 1: came three times. Be a contract here for Barbie.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I know.
- 13:38Speaker 3: We better not be paying this brokind of work.
- 13:44Speaker 4: So take her son on the trip.
- 13:46Speaker 1: This is the Moucker all right. But what we got today,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I take that nigga to Chucky Cheese Okay, Strawberry, Okay,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I appreciate that, you know. Shout out to Barbie. I
- 14:03Speaker 1: signed the Rock Nation. Now I was with Clutch We
- 14:07Speaker 1: already right, Clutch Sports allegations.
- 14:10Speaker 4: My boy left the Rock and went straight to do
- 14:12Speaker 4: something I never was.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I was never the allegations of crazy rock. No, No,
- 14:25Speaker 1: don't no, no, no, He's joking. I want to know
- 14:28Speaker 1: when you was in high school. That's that's a touching subject.
- 14:34Speaker 1: You should do that. Listen, did you did you get
- 14:38Speaker 1: Jordan's when you was like like crazy Jordans.
- 14:41Speaker 2: It didn't get crazy until later, like once they changed
- 14:45Speaker 2: the gym, put the emblem in the middle and all
- 14:47Speaker 2: of that.
- 14:48Speaker 3: It was getting like basic Jordian's one sweat suit.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Stay out of pockets, that's crazy. One T shirt?
- 14:59Speaker 4: He was stories, we got one, Mike like that.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Can We're not putting that.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I have more Laney T shirts without the Jordian emblem
- 15:11Speaker 2: than I did with the Jordan m I'm just saying,
- 15:14Speaker 2: but they got.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Better now though.
- 15:16Speaker 4: You know y'all college stories now school high school, go
- 15:22Speaker 4: to my college.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I'm just saying, like general, he wanted to go to Wake.
- 15:32Speaker 1: He wanted to go to Wake.
- 15:32Speaker 4: But I'm just saying in general, like my high school
- 15:35Speaker 4: was pissed poor and just getting one T shirt broke somebody.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Jordan with the Jordan old Lady shots the lightning manchol
- 15:45Speaker 1: shout the Laney. Is it a big high school like respect?
- 15:49Speaker 3: I wouldn't say big, but it's.
- 15:51Speaker 1: How many students I don't know, because we got like
- 15:54Speaker 1: five thousand at my high school.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know that.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I would imagine like everybody would want to go to you,

- 17:24Speaker 1: too much. That's the name of their parts and stuff,

- 18:12Speaker 1: to ask you now, do you feel like he was
- 18:13Speaker 1: ahead of your time for what they doing now.
- 18:14Speaker 3: In the w Oh absolutely yeah.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I got blackball for a lot of it too, And
- 18:18Speaker 2: I'm like, damn like the league then open up with
- 18:21Speaker 2: what they accepted and what they got going on now.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that shit is crazy. I like that they embraced it,
- 18:27Speaker 1: but like you said, it's a lot of people who
- 18:29Speaker 1: came before them that did not get the opportunity, and
- 18:31Speaker 1: they looked at them a little bit differently. And I
- 18:33Speaker 1: know you could probably fully understand from that shit.
- 18:35Speaker 2: You know, It's funny because I was talking to my
- 18:38Speaker 2: friend even Race was saying, like he was comparing me
- 18:41Speaker 2: as being like the female iverson like for our league,
- 18:44Speaker 2: and like the time of the things that I was
- 18:45Speaker 2: doing and what I got, you know, like kind of
- 18:48Speaker 2: black ball for like doing reality TV. Was frowned upon
- 18:52Speaker 2: coming to the game as fly as I was, like,
- 18:54Speaker 2: I had my coach talking to me crazy about it, like, oh,
- 18:58Speaker 2: you're coming off the bench. You on the front page
- 19:01Speaker 2: magazine of fashion magazines.
- 19:03Speaker 3: I'm like, what guy, gotta do anything? You got me
- 19:05Speaker 3: coming off the bench?
- 19:06Speaker 1: I should be starting my nigga. I can sell right now,
- 19:08Speaker 1: A right, you know.
- 19:10Speaker 2: But it's like now you see all the fashion and
- 19:13Speaker 2: all the tension that they're getting from it, and even
- 19:16Speaker 2: with the stub Budds streaming part, like.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yeah they had the commission on one of them. She
- 19:21Speaker 3: was on one of the streams.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah. I was just like, wow, this weekend in New

- 20:32Speaker 3: But that's something that I've been even in meetings trying
- 20:35Speaker 3: to push. It's like with the marketing of the league.
- 20:36Speaker 2: It's like you need to showcase the ladies off the
- 20:39Speaker 2: court as well. My fans want to feel like they
- 20:41Speaker 2: get they know it, they know us, and you get
- 20:43Speaker 2: more fans in Yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I was so dump found it because I'll talk about
- 20:48Speaker 1: all the time I tried to work for the Fever
- 20:49Speaker 1: and they were so excited about the fact that, oh,
- 20:51Speaker 1: we're gonna do tunnel fits. No shit, everybody has the Instagram.
- 20:55Speaker 1: What's so innovative about that? You have women who get
- 20:58Speaker 1: fly who are literally models, and your happy about that.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And it's just like now they're more progressive with stuff,
- 21:03Speaker 1: and now that the personality is selling the game, It's like,
- 21:05Speaker 1: what took y'all along to get there?
- 21:07Speaker 4: I mean, there's the younger people running stuff now on.
- 21:09Speaker 1: The w No, it's just things are inevitable just at
- 21:11Speaker 1: some point you just look foolish if you're not growing
- 21:13Speaker 1: to not embracing the things that can help you grow.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Because the media covers now run the w is way
- 21:18Speaker 4: bigger than it's ever been though, So maybe that's it.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Man. I had a shot the stuff, but they had
- 21:24Speaker 1: the city crack and angelis talking about it's Miami and Angie.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I don't know why what Miami she's been to, but
- 21:29Speaker 1: if you feel like that about Adi Napolis, salute will
- 21:30Speaker 1: take the compliment. Now it felt like Miami.
- 21:38Speaker 3: And was also twenty three, so yeah, okay, so she went.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Out with us in Miami. Actually, so she definitely went out.
- 21:47Speaker 1: I felt like that night I should have been out there.
- 21:51Speaker 4: I've seen Kelsey Plumb taking the Crown Royal to the
- 21:54Speaker 4: throw too. I said, boy, they having a time boy.
- 21:57Speaker 1: On the straight, But that's not I know. She was different.
- 21:59Speaker 1: That's that's my second favorite Wite girl. All that you know,
- 22:02Speaker 1: I forgot you rock with your first. Yeah, she got
- 22:06Speaker 1: nice shoes is tough, Brina in that three point contest,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I ain't checking dog. She want Alicia made.
- 22:18Speaker 3: At Lang.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Yeah there you did pick the brain you're gonna go
- 22:24Speaker 1: against I guess see I rock. I think.
- 22:32Speaker 3: That's why you got over there.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Ain't got the spraper. She can't up the life she
- 22:41Speaker 1: was gonnahit my head that she lost shut out to breath.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I was talking about that too, obviously, the progressive sports gambling,
- 22:49Speaker 1: how would you felt, you know, said, the possibility of
- 22:51Speaker 1: being able to like gamble on the games and stuff.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Obviously not you as a player currently, no John tap Porter,
- 22:56Speaker 1: no Terry Rose here, but just so much let's just
- 23:00Speaker 1: keep going whatever you got going off. She said. She
- 23:05Speaker 1: just got done coaching to though, but she probably will
- 23:07Speaker 1: still want to be a part of you, so she
- 23:08Speaker 1: can't talk about this stuff. I understanding the possibility that
- 23:10Speaker 1: that's even there, Like he said, you're joking about but
- 23:12Speaker 1: we even can't do that now. That wasn't even the
- 23:14Speaker 1: possibility that sports gambling there, Sports gambling is nuts.
- 23:17Speaker 3: But do you gamble?
- 23:20Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I'm gonna ask you this about the gambling.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Do you hear people at the games because he got
- 23:25Speaker 4: rid of cute from getting a rebound in the NBA game,
- 23:28Speaker 4: do you hear my fucker's game like fans going crazy
- 23:31Speaker 4: like damn put her in the game, or god, damn,
- 23:34Speaker 4: we need two more points?
- 23:35Speaker 1: From you da da dah.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Yeah, if they saying close enough.
- 23:38Speaker 2: And it's funny because I was at a Atlanta game
- 23:40Speaker 2: the other week and one of the fans were sitting
- 23:43Speaker 2: beside me.
- 23:43Speaker 3: He was like, when we be yelling and y'all out there,
- 23:45Speaker 3: can y'all hear us? I'm like, yeah, when y'all court
- 23:48Speaker 3: side and y'all like right by us.
- 23:49Speaker 2: If it's like a dead moment, yeah, but a lot
- 23:52Speaker 2: of times when you locked in, you not really hearing
- 23:54Speaker 2: it unless it's like something crazy.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, because he heard the fan talking to him,
- 23:59Speaker 1: now they started, Yeah, Bobby needs more more. That's how
- 24:03Speaker 1: his name that Bobby. Yeah. They needed one rebound and
- 24:06Speaker 1: I didn't know, like they like get them rebounds on.
- 24:19Speaker 1: It's a nigga who was passed to and you lily
- 24:24Speaker 1: rebound literally rebound. I'm scared to roll my ankle. The
- 24:28Speaker 1: ball literally just fell on my hand. I'm like, I
- 24:31Speaker 1: start to break, come down. They subbed me out. They're like,
- 24:33Speaker 1: what the hell are you doing?
- 24:35Speaker 4: You get three rebounds on the whole year, says.
- 24:37Speaker 3: The fun down.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I'm like, be talking about got to the locker room.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Needed one more rebound. I was rolling. Yeah, That's the
- 24:48Speaker 1: funny thing about it, because I can imagine going as
- 24:50Speaker 1: a player. I ain't nice to meet you. Hey man,
- 24:52Speaker 1: you owe me some money. Yeah. People be saying that.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Yeah, the fans, they don't care.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Matter of fact, I do that your party. The other day,
- 24:58Speaker 1: the Hendry experience asked me if he could sue Beasy
- 25:01Speaker 1: then why because he was like, hey, am I allowed
- 25:04Speaker 1: to sue him because he had one three? And I
- 25:08Speaker 1: feel like he didn't take the three because oh yeah,
- 25:10Speaker 1: he was bitt And I was like, niggas, go sit down,
- 25:12Speaker 1: you can't so but he was dead. Seriously want to
- 25:15Speaker 1: do that? No, No, I feel that somebody in the
- 25:18Speaker 1: classation lawsuit because you did your job what you do.
- 25:22Speaker 1: But it's hilarious. So the nigga didn't go protect the
- 25:25Speaker 1: door security help me telling people to go you weren't good.
- 25:34Speaker 2: I'm like three niggas that walked in here about to
- 25:37Speaker 2: be down security guard tripping about that.
- 25:40Speaker 1: But do you feel about to grow for the game
- 25:42Speaker 1: though the w No.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I feel like it's very like it's elevated social media.
- 25:48Speaker 2: But honestly, when the league first got when the lead
- 25:51Speaker 2: first started, games was being sold out, games was packed.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I remember my auntie was a season ticket holder for
- 25:58Speaker 2: the Liberty and we were end up high like because
- 26:01Speaker 2: the games were sold out, you know.
- 26:03Speaker 3: And so now it's like new fans.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Are people that's starting to watch the w is thinking that, oh,
- 26:08Speaker 2: it's a major difference now when games was being sold
- 26:12Speaker 2: out then, But now it's it's almost like it's going
- 26:15Speaker 2: back to that time. Now you're seeing players in different
- 26:17Speaker 2: commercials and things that happened back in ninety seven ninety
- 26:20Speaker 2: eight when the league first started.
- 26:22Speaker 4: This is probably why people are feeling that way too,
- 26:25Speaker 4: because of the drop off of the year. Yes, I
- 26:27Speaker 4: feel like after the comments went on, they run and then.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Who was it the Sparks Sparks Trait one?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Then after that it was kind of like a dead period.
- 26:37Speaker 1: What do you think happened?
- 26:40Speaker 2: I honestly go back to the marketing. It's like it
- 26:43Speaker 2: got to a point where they was just trying to
- 26:44Speaker 2: market certain players. And when you think about the league,
- 26:48Speaker 2: like what Jordi of the league is black, like we're
- 26:51Speaker 2: keeping it a buck, you know, and it's like you
- 26:53Speaker 2: not marketing those players the same as you was trying
- 26:55Speaker 2: to market certain players. But now I feel like they're
- 26:58Speaker 2: doing a better job anymore players making it more relatable.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Yeah, showing y'all personality because most people looked at it,
- 27:07Speaker 1: it's like, oh, it's just these girls playing basketball and
- 27:11Speaker 1: you ain't know what they was about. Like, now you
- 27:13Speaker 1: get to see Angels's personality, even Kaitlyn Cork like we
- 27:16Speaker 1: just seen. I know they don't want us to see
- 27:17Speaker 1: her drinking and being that kind of person, but it
- 27:19Speaker 1: make her feel more relatable, Like damn, she's actually a human,
- 27:23Speaker 1: she had real ship humans. Show that.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Yeah, but y'all wasn't playing that many games either.
- 27:30Speaker 3: What do you mean that many?
- 27:31Speaker 4: Because I feel like a motherfucker was twelve and six
- 27:34Speaker 4: and then now we're about to start ship.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Motherfucker.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Give me your chance to watch this ship and maybe
- 27:42Speaker 4: I'll have to fuck moved up? Like five games?
- 27:47Speaker 3: Talk about.
- 27:50Speaker 1: This season was twenty eight games like it shout out
- 27:54Speaker 1: to the women. You feel me? I fuck for real?
- 27:56Speaker 4: Like we talk about I know we get a lot
- 27:57Speaker 4: of slack for the w but we talking about the
- 28:00Speaker 4: Cheryl swoops in them all the time.
- 28:02Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 28:03Speaker 4: But I feel like it's just you talk about the market,
- 28:05Speaker 4: but I'm like, how can you market them? And we
- 28:08Speaker 4: we see y'all just for a couple of months and
- 28:10Speaker 4: then it's a rat.
- 28:11Speaker 1: This is a high take for me. I think college
- 28:13Speaker 1: basketball kind of messed up to w because we didn't
- 28:16Speaker 1: really when the comments and on them was winning. We
- 28:18Speaker 1: didn't really get to see them ladies in college basketball.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Like I don't remember oh Bro, I remember her playing
- 28:25Speaker 1: to college. I was like, yeah, but start Overseas. Yeah,
- 28:30Speaker 1: but Yukon was so dominant college at that period of time.
- 28:34Speaker 1: You didn't really even get to see anybody. If you
- 28:36Speaker 1: didn't go to Yukon, you didn't really matter almost at
- 28:39Speaker 1: that point because they was winning so much and they
- 28:41Speaker 1: was like beating people by eighty. So when they went
- 28:44Speaker 1: to the league, it's like, we're gonna watch Yukon, but
- 28:46Speaker 1: we're looking for the girls party. Yeah. Yeah, But now
- 28:53Speaker 1: it's more like people going to different schools and it's
- 28:55Speaker 1: more people like, you know, you got an Iowa with
- 28:58Speaker 1: Kaitlin Clark, you got Juju at USC, you got these
- 29:00Speaker 1: other schools, and you start looking at players like too,
- 29:04Speaker 1: Angeli l s U. We didn't really get to see
- 29:06Speaker 1: that because everybody was just going to Yukon.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah, now you got the players difference.
- 29:11Speaker 4: What made you jump off the porch with it? Like,
- 29:14Speaker 4: fucking ain't branding me? I'm about to godamn get it cracking?
- 29:17Speaker 4: Did you got to crack?
- 29:18Speaker 2: It was more so like the fans was like asking
- 29:21Speaker 2: about buying my jersey, and like I was a fan favorite,
- 29:25Speaker 2: but I wasn't a star to where the league was
- 29:27Speaker 2: selling my jersey. So I started with T shirts and
- 29:29Speaker 2: I saw this like just my logo T y one
- 29:32Speaker 2: and they was buying them up. So then I continue
- 29:35Speaker 2: to just grow the brand. It was really like the
- 29:38Speaker 2: fans just showing love and made me really jump into it.
- 29:41Speaker 1: See that's crazy that as a player that your jersey
- 29:44Speaker 1: isn't it like the team shop, So you have to
- 29:46Speaker 1: make your own merch for people to buy.
- 29:47Speaker 2: And guess what after I started selling my own merch,
- 29:49Speaker 2: they started selling my jersey.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah. What made you so popular though?
- 29:58Speaker 3: With the fans personality?
- 30:00Speaker 2: Like it's even in college, like I would do certain
- 30:03Speaker 2: stuff like I was scoring college throw up number eleven,
- 30:05Speaker 2: throw up t wise, Like I just interacted with the
- 30:08Speaker 2: fans and I had that same personality whether I was
- 30:11Speaker 2: coming off the bench, whether I was starting, whether I
- 30:13Speaker 2: was scoring two or twenty, like I just interacted with them,
- 30:17Speaker 2: so I was already showing my personality.
- 30:20Speaker 1: So when you do that in college and its successful
- 30:22Speaker 1: and you get to the w obviously lottery pick, what's
- 30:25Speaker 1: that moment, like did your coaching bracetap? They're telling you, nah,
- 30:28Speaker 1: you need to tap back in with the program.
- 30:30Speaker 3: So initially she didn't really say too much until it
- 30:33Speaker 3: was a veteran player that kind of started hating easy.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I would just playing NA.
- 30:46Speaker 3: I like her, and I'm just like, I was like, oh,
- 30:52Speaker 3: you don't understand. You were rookie.
- 30:54Speaker 2: But I got to make some changes and she made
- 30:57Speaker 2: changes and it's just like for what you know, but
- 31:01Speaker 2: it didn't change our outcome.
- 31:02Speaker 3: We still was four and like thirty.
- 31:05Speaker 1: But I.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Started having a conversation like, you know, you're not in
- 31:10Speaker 2: college no more. You need to start sharing the ball
- 31:12Speaker 2: with your teammates and I so it kind of.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Got in my head. You know, I was a rookie,
- 31:17Speaker 3: so now I'm questioning my own game.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Damn.
- 31:20Speaker 1: That's crazy that every player who comes on this platform
- 31:22Speaker 1: says that they get the culture early on the questions
- 31:24Speaker 1: that they can play basketball now and y'all be the
- 31:26Speaker 1: people who make it. And we both got drafted to Atlanta,
- 31:29Speaker 1: atl Yeah, what was your experience like going getting drafted
- 31:33Speaker 1: to Atlanta? Because mom's a man. It was a good girl.
- 31:37Speaker 1: It was nasty on Atlanta. What's your name? He's talking about?
- 31:41Speaker 1: My girl did three sixty andrelculchure.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Angel was after me.
- 31:46Speaker 2: The year she came. I ended up getting traded at
- 31:48Speaker 2: the end of the season. But my first year, welcome
- 31:53Speaker 2: to Atlanta. Like I remember one time I was in
- 31:56Speaker 2: We was in New York for the game and I
- 31:58Speaker 2: almost missed the bus to go to the game because
- 32:02Speaker 2: I was out shopping. I literally had to get out
- 32:04Speaker 2: the taxi and like run to make it. So it
- 32:08Speaker 2: was different things. You know, I'm hanging out getting used
- 32:10Speaker 2: to it.
- 32:10Speaker 3: But it was cool.

- 32:18Speaker 1: you had to be somewhere.

- 32:26Speaker 3: thing for me.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I used to go shopping on game days. I didn't
- 32:28Speaker 2: take naps, but the traffic in New York had me
- 32:31Speaker 2: messed up that day.
- 32:34Speaker 1: My tone was that day, learned before that game is crazy.
- 32:41Speaker 1: It's crazy. The games are like twelve though, I guess.

- 33:45Speaker 1: Are you a piece by piece or you an outfit

- 34:21Speaker 1: What you do, I don't worry about what you're doing
- 34:24Speaker 1: that for.

- 34:35Speaker 1: left when I was twenty eight, I think twenty seven eight.
- 34:39Speaker 1: You know, you didn't always lead to lit I moved
- 34:43Speaker 1: when I was thirty something. It was about, Yeah, Atlanta cool.
- 34:49Speaker 1: It's easy to figure it out. Though. It's like a

- 34:58Speaker 1: You figure that out there. Yeah, you you will get
- 35:01Speaker 1: out of it. Like at first you'd be like that's

- 38:08Speaker 2: Dallas for like a month and some change almost two months,
- 38:10Speaker 2: and I liked it.
- 38:12Speaker 3: It's cool.
- 38:13Speaker 1: So what's that moment like when you go to your
- 38:15Speaker 1: coach and say, Hey, coach, I'm about to be on TV.
- 38:19Speaker 3: I don't you just do it on TV?
- 38:24Speaker 1: So they don't got Like, I mean, I don't know
- 38:26Speaker 1: how that worked though I've never been on TV like that.
- 38:29Speaker 1: You just do it. Like the NBA, they they might
- 38:32Speaker 1: reach out to you, I mean NBA millions, ANBA like hey, yo,
- 38:38Speaker 1: what's up? What you got going on? Like that, that's
- 38:40Speaker 1: all said. Is there a conversation needs behaved? Yeah, we
- 38:45Speaker 1: don't really got an ex mission. But I just feel
- 38:47Speaker 1: like I was a teammate with a guy that was
- 38:50Speaker 1: on TV and it was just like a lot of rules. Yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 1: like Chris Humphreys, I was on TV. He was on
- 38:59Speaker 1: the Craziest show here.
- 39:01Speaker 2: But it's a lot different for y'all though, like y'all
- 39:04Speaker 2: making a lot more money and then especially then like yeah, they'
- 39:07Speaker 2: making more money now, but then.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Like.
- 39:12Speaker 2: I mean, they didn't like it obviously, like and they
- 39:14Speaker 2: started being weird afterwards. But I gotta do what's best
- 39:17Speaker 2: for me. Like the league is a business, they gonna
- 39:19Speaker 2: do what's best for them every.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Time, So I gotta do what's best for me.
- 39:23Speaker 1: You enjoy being on TV, It's cool.
- 39:26Speaker 2: It's different when I did Love and Hip Hop than
- 39:29Speaker 2: now doing basketball wives. But for me, I don't change
- 39:33Speaker 2: like I'm me whether I'm on TV or not, So
- 39:35Speaker 2: it's not complicated. A lot of people get on TV
- 39:37Speaker 2: and they start trying to be somebody they not. Now
- 39:40Speaker 2: you got to kind of live up to that.
- 39:41Speaker 1: You was gonna be here favorite show? What Love It?
- 39:44Speaker 1: Hip Hop? Baby?
- 39:45Speaker 3: I was tapped in back then. It was way better too.
- 39:49Speaker 3: It was way better back then.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I don't even watch it now we can have some good,
- 39:53Speaker 1: good talks about that. I only see Love and Hip
- 39:56Speaker 1: Hop with the first four seasons Love Top Tier. That's
- 40:02Speaker 1: when Jim Jones on there, No, that was that's New York.
- 40:05Speaker 1: That's New York. Oh you're talking about to hear you now?
- 40:08Speaker 1: Oh that's New York respect No no no no no
- 40:15Speaker 1: no no no no no no no, that's what I bro.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Why you be doing like that? Why why y'all be
- 40:31Speaker 1: doing the T shirt? Not for that reason. Bro. So
- 40:39Speaker 1: I just remember because we used to bring the parties,
- 40:43Speaker 1: like all the Love and Hip Hop people. That was
- 40:45Speaker 1: everybody from New York though Atlanta. That the first couple
- 40:49Speaker 1: of seasons and some of my favorite TV of all time.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Who I feel like back then.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Too, is it was more real Like now, I feel
- 40:55Speaker 2: like a lot of people are trying to do storylines
- 40:59Speaker 2: just to be on TV. Yeah, back then you could tell,
- 41:03Speaker 2: like even the shocking factors like damn, like she didn't
- 41:06Speaker 2: even know that was coming.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Yeah, damn, I got I didn't know you was on?
- 41:10Speaker 1: Basketball was my fault. I probably didn't do my research,
- 41:13Speaker 1: but damn, that's what's up? What's that? Like?
- 41:15Speaker 2: See basketball wise, I'm a main cast, so it was
- 41:19Speaker 2: I had to do way more filming than I did
- 41:20Speaker 2: Love and Hip Hop. I just did guess appearances with
- 41:22Speaker 2: my lady. I was with them, so it was more filming,
- 41:25Speaker 2: but it was less time.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Like, it was way more production. Was way better than
- 41:31Speaker 3: when I was doing like Love and Hip Hop.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I feel like, yeah, and you guys are going there
- 41:36Speaker 1: with the camera, you got to get your shirt off
- 41:37Speaker 1: and leave. Yeah, that's the best part of loving hipp
- 41:40Speaker 1: The cameos a hard Quest that was on that show
- 41:42Speaker 1: used to be hilarious. You come here from Miss the
- 41:44Speaker 1: funk up a whole week worth the ship.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Mana is still to go, bro, Mana is still the goat.
- 41:48Speaker 4: I ain't hit the tap then, Yeah, Mama Scott, That's
- 41:51Speaker 4: the only thing I remember about Basketball Wives. They used
- 41:53Speaker 4: to always go on like fake trips.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Trips.
- 41:58Speaker 3: They weren't fake. Why are you saying?
- 42:00Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, I'd be like, a right,
- 42:02Speaker 1: I ain't watched it with Shack wife and now yeah,
- 42:07Speaker 1: I'm like, y'all all hate each other that you're about
- 42:09Speaker 1: to go to going Costa Rica Heaven together.
- 42:13Speaker 2: But that's kind of like, okay, so let's working, you
- 42:17Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. So you really will be beefing
- 42:19Speaker 2: with people. Indeed, you gotta go on the trouble.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Nothing that's not that's a fight. Yeah, that's exactly what I.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Now like fish fighting. But they well, I mean, you
- 42:30Speaker 3: watched this season.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Somebody threw a drink on you.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Nobody throwing a drink on me.
- 42:38Speaker 1: That's the that's the only person that reality a drink.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Love It hip Hop. That's why I love love it
- 42:44Speaker 1: because I knew that so I gotta, I gotta go start.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Y'all went on a trip this year.
- 42:54Speaker 3: We went on two trips. You got way more boo.
- 42:57Speaker 3: The ladies is more boogie basketball wise, that's.
- 43:00Speaker 1: A little bit of a different budget as well. Yeah,
- 43:02Speaker 1: they're all coming from some nice situations.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Right exactly, so it's different. But yeah, we went to
- 43:08Speaker 2: Vegas and we went to Hawaii.
- 43:09Speaker 1: So the beefs be real though, Yeah damn because I
- 43:15Speaker 1: didn't know the beef I thought it was. I thought
- 43:17Speaker 1: that is.
- 43:18Speaker 2: It's like you would have something going on with somebody
- 43:21Speaker 2: and then you would have a scene and you don't
- 43:23Speaker 2: really know who's gonna be at your scene, so then
- 43:26Speaker 2: like it's somebody that you're kind of not you know
- 43:28Speaker 2: what I mean, like beef and where you be like
- 43:30Speaker 2: then they say something, you ready put them?
- 43:34Speaker 1: Okay, send them with her ball. I can't wait to
- 43:43Speaker 1: see that. That's a vibe all right for listening. Shout
- 43:46Speaker 1: out to chime man. We love chiying chiyme mom. We
- 43:48Speaker 1: want to ask you what was that first moment like
- 43:51Speaker 1: where you got some paper, would you do? Would you
- 43:52Speaker 1: crash out with? Now something responsible? Now go buy your
- 43:55Speaker 1: mama house, not go pay no bills? To loans. You
- 43:57Speaker 1: went to them all, we're crazy, what you do?
- 44:00Speaker 4: Oh you?
- 44:01Speaker 1: I was buying clothes, are you? You crashed off the
- 44:04Speaker 1: closed shoes.
- 44:05Speaker 2: I had the belts and back then when I first
- 44:08Speaker 2: was in the league, got the Gucci belt with the
- 44:09Speaker 2: Gucci shoes, the Gucci polo just looking like a whole mannequin.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeaheah, that's the I from. Definitely with the
- 44:17Speaker 1: rookie budget. For sure, you smoked that. You smoke what
- 44:22Speaker 1: you buy a Gucci to you?
- 44:24Speaker 3: I came from fifteen hundred dollars, yeah, thirty.
- 44:29Speaker 1: K oh, yeah, you fucked that up with you that
- 44:33Speaker 1: day she bought the whole.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Lot to go receive.
- 44:46Speaker 1: What's overseas like you're enjoying different.
- 44:50Speaker 2: I enjoyed the experience, but it was long them seven
- 44:54Speaker 2: eight months over There was tough ship, like away from
- 44:57Speaker 2: your family and you know, living in a different culture.
- 45:00Speaker 3: All you really had was basketball practicing twice a day.
- 45:04Speaker 3: It's a grind.
- 45:05Speaker 1: What some of the countries you play, the.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Brazil China lot via French.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Turkey, Damn, Brazil and China is a vast difference.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Pil probably live Brazil was nice and it was high.
- 45:19Speaker 3: I was by the beach. Yes, English. I went to
- 45:24Speaker 3: Israel three times.
- 45:25Speaker 1: My brother say, loving it like a baby Miami.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I love Israel Americanized. Everybody speak English, and back
- 45:32Speaker 2: then I had four Americans on my team.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so was having a talk.
- 45:37Speaker 2: When all the teams is like right there by each other.
- 45:39Speaker 2: The Featherst team was like an hour or two hours.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's small. Damn so White, I'm confused with that.
- 45:46Speaker 1: It's only twelve months in a year.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Three four months that it was the twelve.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Trying to figure it out. She played all year round. Yeah,
- 46:01Speaker 1: damn all year around. Well, I guess you got to
- 46:04Speaker 1: to make it make sense. Yeah.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Out here said that's crazy because like overseas, it kind
- 46:09Speaker 2: of like overlaps, so like if you make it to
- 46:11Speaker 2: the playoffs, then you late going.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Overseas m so you definitely trying to miss the money difference,
- 46:18Speaker 1: like like not to be in your pockets. But like
- 46:20Speaker 1: from the NBA W to like overseas, it.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Depends on the team and the players. Like for me,
- 46:27Speaker 2: it wasn't that crazy, except when I went to China.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Like what I was making in China for a month
- 46:34Speaker 2: was like I say, a little bit less than what
- 46:39Speaker 2: I was making for like six months in Israel, damn.
- 46:43Speaker 2: But then like Israel is like they kind of try
- 46:46Speaker 2: to pay you a little less because they know that
- 46:49Speaker 2: Americans want to come there, you know what I mean. Like,
- 46:51Speaker 2: so it ain't like you going to somewhere where it's
- 46:54Speaker 2: like Russia and freezing cold, you know what I mean.
- 46:56Speaker 3: So they kind of play into that. But it's some
- 46:59Speaker 3: players that was making millions overseas. I wasn't making millions overseas.
- 47:02Speaker 2: So I'm cool like I did five years back to back,
- 47:06Speaker 2: and then I started taking breaks.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Damn and a million stuff. It's not like you did
- 47:11Speaker 1: the bier he said five years back to you said,
- 47:13Speaker 1: she may seem like prison. I ain't gonna lie.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I started, you know, like straight five years w NBA overseas,
- 47:20Speaker 3: like no break. That's tough.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Ain't that adjustment coming back to the w You know
- 47:23Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Coaches got sisters over there, probably letting
- 47:25Speaker 1: you get your ship off a little bit more. Yeah,
- 47:27Speaker 1: for sure, it was a little more physical to overseas.
- 47:30Speaker 1: What do you think about Like you said, you made
- 47:32Speaker 1: your the most money in China, Yeah, did you? I
- 47:36Speaker 1: know you feel like a superstar though, yeah.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I mean, but most teams, I felt like a superstar
- 47:40Speaker 2: overseas because they want the Americans to basically like do
- 47:44Speaker 2: the moment.
- 47:44Speaker 1: I'm saying as far as like the fans like China,
- 47:47Speaker 1: they love basketball.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Everywhere I played overseas, they loved the gain.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Damn for real, I gotta get out.
- 47:53Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Yeah, damn, I know. China was crazy.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Yeah, China was crazy. Though I loved China.
- 47:59Speaker 1: So imagine I went to China one time. Yeah, I
- 48:04Speaker 1: was a star. Yeah, nigga, Yeah, my name or you
- 48:09Speaker 1: had a thousand fans. D Rose had one hundred and
- 48:11Speaker 1: fifty thousand. Steph Curry had three hundred thousand. Right now
- 48:16Speaker 1: was a ornament on the trees. No, it was crazy
- 48:24Speaker 1: that nigga was in the bag. I got niggas in
- 48:28Speaker 1: the bad. Nigga said, I was a star. That got
- 48:31Speaker 1: you to be a star, like to be a starter,
- 48:34Speaker 1: not a star ship to be starting on the team.

- 50:04Speaker 1: the pants they see me was fine, but the yeah,
- 50:07Speaker 1: do you know, I mean, it's crazy when I got
- 50:10Speaker 1: them on, they don't you hear me? Respect when they're off?
- 50:14Speaker 1: That is none of Arkansas respect. Respect King. What's the
- 50:19Speaker 1: difference between you obviously playing at a high level and
- 50:22Speaker 1: now instructing people to play at a high level? What's
- 50:23Speaker 1: that like the transition, like trying to get players to
- 50:25Speaker 1: play like how you play it or tell them to
- 50:27Speaker 1: be professional you know what I'm saying on the other
- 50:29Speaker 1: side of the table now it's.
- 50:31Speaker 2: It's different, you know, But I just try to teach
- 50:35Speaker 2: them the things that I've learned, you know, from playing,
- 50:38Speaker 2: and sometimes as a coach after like being a player,
- 50:42Speaker 2: you be like damn, like sometimes you just feel like
- 50:44Speaker 2: you just want to get out there and show them
- 50:46Speaker 2: or do it yourself. So but it's just about adjusting
- 50:49Speaker 2: and learning that each player is different, and how you
- 50:52Speaker 2: speak to each player and how you get each player
- 50:54Speaker 2: going is different.
- 50:55Speaker 3: But you just you learn and you adjust as you're going.
- 50:58Speaker 1: These players more spoiled, now, what way more spoiled? Oh dang,
- 51:05Speaker 1: are y'all just the old heads now? And these unspoiled
- 51:09Speaker 1: whipper snappers? Yeah?
- 51:10Speaker 2: Now, I'm like, I'm not far removed, Like I was
- 51:13Speaker 2: just playing with some of them last year. So I'm
- 51:15Speaker 2: not hating, and you know, it is what it is.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Like some of the things, like even for other coaches
- 51:22Speaker 2: that I spoke to before I got into my coach
- 51:24Speaker 2: in realm, is that they have to coach these kids differently.
- 51:27Speaker 2: They can't take it like you got mental health things now,
- 51:30Speaker 2: you know, so you gotta watch how you speak to them.
- 51:33Speaker 2: My coaches were slipping tables over when I was playing,
- 51:36Speaker 2: you know what I mean. So it's just it's just
- 51:37Speaker 2: a difference. And even if they're not spoiled, it's just
- 51:41Speaker 2: a different.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Generation, especially like some of these kids kids with some
- 51:46Speaker 1: of these young ladies and young men going into these programs. Shit,
- 51:48Speaker 1: y'all making one way of the coaches yeah. Now you
- 51:50Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. In certain place that was always
- 51:52Speaker 1: a case, but especially now, like especially women's basketball and
- 51:54Speaker 1: now you like we talked about the NCAA. They've had
- 51:56Speaker 1: the best tournament the last five to six years, last lot,
- 52:00Speaker 1: so that's reflecting their pay. Now I'm going to the
- 52:02Speaker 1: in the W like all I make more made of
- 52:04Speaker 1: everybody here. Bro, you're not about talk to me.
- 52:05Speaker 4: Crazy kids use that mental health ship a little bit
- 52:10Speaker 4: too far, Like you can't say.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Well, you can't.
- 52:14Speaker 4: I am fuck that they do, bro, because sometimes that
- 52:19Speaker 4: getting away of them working hard for real, Bro, for
- 52:22Speaker 4: real mental health is definitely for real.
- 52:23Speaker 1: It's real. There's people who know that. It's people who
- 52:26Speaker 1: really deal with that. But Bro, your coaching on that
- 52:28Speaker 1: you's not mental health.
- 52:30Speaker 4: It's okay, Bro, just lock in.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Bro, you're not not hurt your feelings. You don't have
- 52:34Speaker 1: to go listen to right way even think about ending it,
- 52:37Speaker 1: you know what I mean. It's cool. I'm just saying,
- 52:42Speaker 1: for real, bro, the kids is way too soft these days.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Let me say that. You don't got to say that
- 52:47Speaker 1: I did not. It ain't bullying. I just can't.
- 52:53Speaker 4: Coaches are really like it's kind of hard because you
- 52:56Speaker 4: got to like them to coach all these kids different
- 52:58Speaker 4: for real. But you don't from a uh you had
- 53:02Speaker 4: crazy coaches, you did too, bro y'all come from two
- 53:04Speaker 4: different you know what I mean, sides of the earth.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Now, when you got kids, you gotta Johnny thesee this
- 53:09Speaker 1: type of love.
- 53:10Speaker 4: You can't love on him as far as you love
- 53:12Speaker 4: on Isaiah, or you can't be on him as hard
- 53:14Speaker 4: as you as you know what I'm saying the next motherfucker.
- 53:17Speaker 1: But that's that's always been a part of it though.
- 53:19Speaker 1: That's like being a point guard. And she would know too.
- 53:22Speaker 1: You know, being a guard, you got different relationships with everybody,
- 53:25Speaker 1: so you're gonna talk to you. You might talk to
- 53:27Speaker 1: your big man a little different because you know he
- 53:29Speaker 1: said in screens or she saying screens for you to
- 53:31Speaker 1: get you open. You might have a hey, I'm hit
- 53:34Speaker 1: you on that role next time from a player. Yeah,
- 53:37Speaker 1: but I'm saying it's the same thing from coaches because
- 53:39Speaker 1: when you're a guard, you're a coach on the floor.
- 53:41Speaker 1: That's why it's easier for point guards or guards to
- 53:43Speaker 1: transition to coaching because we know we already got a baby.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Certain people or talk to this person this way, and
- 53:48Speaker 1: then you might have another guard on the team where
- 53:50Speaker 1: you can cust them out, get going the what the
- 53:52Speaker 1: hell you doing? Let's get yeah. Yeah.
- 53:55Speaker 2: And that's what I've seen too from the coaching side,
- 53:57Speaker 2: just because from a player, you not really looking at
- 54:01Speaker 2: your teammates the same way as you are as a coach,
- 54:03Speaker 2: and you realize some players they react or act the
- 54:06Speaker 2: way that they do because of even their upbringing, are
- 54:09Speaker 2: what they're not getting at home, and so it's like
- 54:12Speaker 2: you gotta be a little show them a little lighter
- 54:14Speaker 2: love where some players they get in the love at
- 54:16Speaker 2: home where you could show them tougher love and they
- 54:18Speaker 2: understand I got you so yeah.
- 54:21Speaker 1: But you learned that as a player though, Like you
- 54:23Speaker 1: be around people when you hear people story like us,
- 54:25Speaker 1: when we talk, you'd be like, boy, you act like
- 54:27Speaker 1: you was the poorest nigga in the cirl. You do.
- 54:29Speaker 1: I ain't I a lot of people Carol and Sean,
- 54:35Speaker 1: please because they always act like you was just dirt poor.
- 54:38Speaker 1: Actink I was dirt poor. We just got a lot
- 54:39Speaker 1: of kids.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Your mama be that and me for the ship. You sure,
- 54:44Speaker 4: I'm like this is you don't God damn son sharing
- 54:46Speaker 4: these dark ass stories.
- 54:47Speaker 1: They had a lot of kids. I'm like, why I
- 54:49Speaker 1: have all these damn kids. I ain't gonna lie growing
- 54:53Speaker 1: up a bunch of group home babies wuld have been that.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I mean, it was always seven or eight people in
- 54:57Speaker 1: my yeah kids. Bro. Always that's funny coming from you
- 55:02Speaker 1: because you know you had a lot of siblings, but
- 55:03Speaker 1: out of ten.
- 55:04Speaker 4: But it's different, Like in my household, it wasn't like
- 55:07Speaker 4: randoms coming into the crib what they band.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Crazy. Y'all lived with us at that period. Shout out
- 55:15Speaker 1: to the dark lives. I'm saying, they was good people them, George.
- 55:24Speaker 1: That little nigga stole my George. I still forget you
- 55:26Speaker 1: had no dark times like that, Bro, there was ten
- 55:28Speaker 1: of us. That little nigga that stole my George. I
- 55:32Speaker 1: was you know what I'm saying, it was never knowing.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Truth was walking to the crat had niggas down to
- 55:38Speaker 1: do it. She's family. So just veryly podcast. How we going,
- 55:45Speaker 1: Just like we get you a guess you just you're
- 55:47Speaker 1: just part of the family.
- 55:48Speaker 4: Now, I'm ambling, as you got two okay, so it
- 55:52Speaker 4: was like you I got something the baby.
- 55:58Speaker 1: You was growing up Yeah, that's nigga. My shoes bro
- 56:06Speaker 1: Broy probably locked up right now. Man, if you're doing Roy,
- 56:09Speaker 1: we need you on this platform.
- 56:11Speaker 4: Told you that Team Household didn't do ship for you.
- 56:16Speaker 1: That my coach team man, No, he was my dad
- 56:19Speaker 1: held down. You know what's crazy. I know you want
- 56:21Speaker 1: to see Roy. Listen. We had Roy got kid or family.
- 56:26Speaker 1: He talked to me the other day. Roy good. Roy
- 56:29Speaker 1: was the first person to get the Steal tens. Yeah,
- 56:31Speaker 1: my pops brought him to steal tens and nobody else.
- 56:35Speaker 1: And I said, I remember, I said, how the hell
- 56:37Speaker 1: he get them shoes? Because niggas I had to buy
- 56:40Speaker 1: him something. It's part of the program because Pop's got
- 56:43Speaker 1: that ship. Yeah, shoes, I said, Nigga, it's been a
- 56:47Speaker 1: little bit on us. It's twelve us get paid. You
- 56:50Speaker 1: been home pretty much.

- 56:56Speaker 1: Man, it's my favorite weird quarter level. You nothing. I
- 57:02Speaker 1: love shoes. They beautiful shoes, but they am my favorite. Jordan,
- 57:06Speaker 1: what's your favorite? Six? Is varsity six? Damn aqua a

- 57:19Speaker 4: But this is the only eight that I wear, though
- 57:22Speaker 4: all the rest of them looked like, I can't.
- 57:25Speaker 1: He disrespectful to the class and that they disrespect classes.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Just talked about this to They're doing better, but they
- 57:31Speaker 1: disrespected class.

- 57:34Speaker 1: You like twelve? Talk to him?
- 57:36Speaker 3: Was my first pair of Jordan's twelve time.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Yeah. I was about to say, yeah, it's.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Like I don't even remember how old I was, but
- 57:45Speaker 2: I know I was playing at the girls club and
