Transcript
- 0:10Hello, America. Welcome to the Junto Podcast, where we promote the practical
- 0:15applications of critical thinking and bold creativity.
- 0:18I am your host, Edgar Mills. Thanks for joining.
- 0:28Hello, America. Welcome to episode 30 of the Juneteau podcast.
- 0:32Thank you so much for listening. Thank you so much for staying with me.
- 0:35So what are we going to talk about today?
- 0:38I'm going to talk a little bit about intellectual consistency,
- 0:41political consistency, and double standards and where we see them at out there in the wild.
- 0:48So a friend of mine hit me up just yesterday, and we talked a little bit about the subject.
- 0:56And it's something that kind of weighs on him a little bit. He was curious to hear my thoughts on it.
- 1:03So we're going to get into it. Now look, again, you all know I'm a libertarian
- 1:07by politics and the libertarian platform,
- 1:12and you can think libertarian, you can think classical liberal,
- 1:16you can think constitutional purist if you want, or originalist.
- 1:22You can think a lot of things, but definitely not Republican or Democrat.
- 1:27Individual liberty, individual autonomy, free markets, genuine free markets,
- 1:33and consistent principles.
- 1:36We put those things above all other things when it comes to politics,
- 1:40consistent principles being very important.
- 1:43We do, I don't, you're hard-pressed to find libertarians who are hypocritical
- 1:51Because they're willing to do some reflection and they're willing to adjust
- 1:58or consider alternative perspectives.
- 2:04And the hypocrisy that we see in the mainstream politics or the extremes of
- 2:11either sides of that politics,
- 2:12it just chips away and erodes at our own personal freedoms and ultimately invites government overreach.
- 2:22Now, I'm of the opinion that Democrats, for sure, and more and more and more,
- 2:28we're seeing that Republicans, they're all perfectly happy with government overreach.
- 2:32The battle is no longer big government, little government.
- 2:36The battle now is who controls the enforcement apparatus of government.
- 2:44That's what it is now. They're all happy with big government.
- 2:48Republicans and the MAGA movement, all of them, they're happy with big government.
- 2:54Now, during the presidential campaign, DJT ran on very libertarian sort of talking
- 3:03points, and he had some support from libertarian-type people.
- 3:09But where is that today? Did he stick to his guns? No, he didn't.
- 3:15So what we see with the Republicans and their MAGA, the MAGA faction,
- 3:21and we'll point out some of the hypocrisies that they show.
- 3:25And then with the Democrats and the Antifa factions, we'll look at some of their,
- 3:32I don't know, I'd say pretty blatant inconsistencies.
- 3:36And they all, all of them apply double standards to issues that suit their agendas.
- 3:42And then they all apply selective outrage to issues that seemingly harm their agenda.
- 3:51And all this selective outrage, it's all disingenuous. It is selective.
- 3:56If you apply the same standards across the board, you would always be outraged.
- 4:02Really? I think so. You hear the MAGA movement out there.
- 4:08You hear a lot of them raging against illegal immigration.
- 4:12Celebrating all these ice raids and things like that.
- 4:16And their claim is that the illegal immigrants are a drain on resources and
- 4:22a frigging threat, physical threat to security.
- 4:27And they would even say national security.
- 4:30Now, there is some truth in that, some truth in that.
- 4:34And even though I am a libertarian, I do not advocate open borders.
- 4:38And when I say open borders, I mean unchecked free flow of humans without any
- 4:45kind of accountability whatsoever.
- 4:46I believe that Congress has just failed to to posit a functional immigration
- 4:55policy and they don't want to.
- 4:58I've said this in other episodes and I'll say it again.
- 5:01Congress doesn't want to to institute a practical, efficient immigration policy
- 5:08because it's a great friggin campaign talking point.
- 5:12To blame the other side for whatever perceived ills of illegal immigration.
- 5:19But the MAGA, yeah, yeah. They drain on resources and threat to our security.
- 5:25But then the business of the people in the agriculture industry,
- 5:31the MAGA movement who are part of that industry or the hospitality industry,
- 5:39specifically hotels, that they're happy to overlook illegal immigration when
- 5:45it benefits their interests.
- 5:49Right? And some of you may not know this, but Trump curtailed or suspended ICE
- 5:56raids on hotels, on farms, and on restaurants in 2025.
- 6:02This year, he suspended ICE raids on those very specific industries.
- 6:10And I imagine the farms that were spared are government-subsidized farms.
- 6:17And I imagine a lot of the hotels that were spared probably had ties to Trump,
- 6:25or at least, yeah, some ties.
- 6:28So he was happy to protect allies, right, business allies.
- 6:32But then we're still seeing
- 6:35them on television and all social medias these
- 6:38these very aggressive ice raids
- 6:41and a lot of right-wingers man they're like on board yeah yeah yeah it's awesome
- 6:47we got we got dudes that look like uh call of duty you know operator types going
- 6:54out and snatching up illegals from wherever, not hotels, not restaurants,
- 6:59but out and about somewhere.
- 7:01And people are all about that. Yeah, yeah, the right way.
- 7:08There's a right way and wrong way to do anything. And I don't think it's by
- 7:13accident or by ignorance. I
- 7:15think they want that vision. I think they want that that image out there.
- 7:21They want to push that scary image of massed up,
- 7:27heavily armed operator types out there in the general public,
- 7:31snatching people up in a very violent way and just creating general chaos among the public.
- 7:38Where there's going to be ice raids, there's going to be protests.
- 7:41Where there's protests, there's going to be eventual violence. And what does that do?
- 7:48It just invites more government overreach. And I said this before, and I'll say it again.
- 7:55If any reaction from Trump, if it's anything, it's an overreaction.
- 8:02So, and look, he's been doing business long before he was ever in politics,
- 8:07right? He's been doing business.
- 8:09And people say the things they say about him. Was he a racist?
- 8:13No, I don't think Trump is a racist at all.
- 8:16He's done great things for the black community.
- 8:19Tangible, tangible things. I don't think he's a racist, but I do think he's a harsh businessman.
- 8:24And I do think he's an opportunist. and practices that he used in his business,
- 8:31like hiring illegal laborers.
- 8:35He turns around as the president and condemns it and then puts all these scary
- 8:42dudes out on the ground to strike fear into the illegal immigration population.
- 8:48I agree that all immigrants should come here legally. I do.
- 8:52But there's ways. There's right and wrong ways to do things.
- 8:58So, yeah, MAGA's too happy to dogpile on to the illegal immigration situation
- 9:05here, but then they're too happy to defend their own use of these illegal immigrants.
- 9:13And that's hypocritical. Yeah, that's hypocritical. Don't be a hypocrite.
- 9:20What else? What about surveillance? What about this mass surveillance? And what about Alt.
- 9:27Just surveillance of American citizens in general.
- 9:31But if you roll out some Palantir program where they compile all this data from
- 9:40all these government agencies and there's easy access and it's easy to build these lists of people.
- 9:46And you do it in the name of security.
- 9:51In the fight against terrorism. the red hat MAGA crowd is too happy to jump
- 9:58on board man they're too happy to jump on board,
- 10:03but then there's another side of that coin folks then they want to criticize
- 10:07a big topic in the libertarian movement is all these flock traffic cameras that
- 10:13are constantly recording not just I just you know people running red lights
- 10:18but always they're always recording they're always compiling data,
- 10:22and they essentially can be used to track you anywhere you go.
- 10:28Now, the MAGA people tend to frown on that, but it's very difficult to have
- 10:33one overreach without the other overreach.
- 10:36So they're happy when it comes to, well, we're using all this surveillance,
- 10:42mass surveillance, to pick up illegal immigrants and spot early warning of terrorists
- 10:48and facial recognition of bad guys and all this.
- 10:54But if it can be used against them, folks, it can be used against you.
- 10:58And that's the crux of this whole story here, is that whatever government overreach
- 11:03is happening, if you're in charge and you're like, oh, yeah, that's nice.
- 11:06Imagine that power and that resource in the hands of your political opposite.
- 11:15And all of this is just another form of cronyism. That's all it is.
- 11:21That's using these resources to essentially benefit and profit your homies,
- 11:32your associates, your people.
- 11:36Yeah. So the right wing, they demand strict borders.
- 11:43And I think borders are important but then they turn around and profit from cheap labor,
- 11:49illegal labor they exploit don't think that illegal immigrants who do come here
- 11:55to work I'm not talking about criminals folks I'm not talking about people who are trafficking in,
- 12:01child labor and child prostitution I'm talking about laborers I'm talking about
- 12:05people coming up here to pick friggin strawberries,
- 12:09the Republicans are more than happy to exploit that cheap labor.
- 12:13And if you don't think so, you're delusional.
- 12:17You're delusional.
- 12:19Let's move on to Democrats for a moment.
- 12:23Now, Democrats are happy to open the doors, aren't they?
- 12:26They want the doors open. Why? They want as many undocumented citizens as possible.
- 12:31And why? Because you can look around the nation at various Democrat-held cities,
- 12:37and they're trying to register illegals to vote.
- 12:40You get a driver's license, you can vote.
- 12:42You don't have to be a citizen. That's what they want. That's what they believe.
- 12:47Well, that's essentially.
- 12:51Cronyism on the other end of the scale. They're essentially buying votes.
- 12:55You come over here, you vote Democrat, and you get all these benefits,
- 13:00and you get the state. You don't have to work.
- 13:01We'll protect you. We'll put you in a, what do they call it?
- 13:06Safe haven, what are they called? Sanctuary cities.
- 13:10Yeah. Oh, you don't need to work. We'll put you on the snaps.
- 13:15Yeah. So they're happy to exploit illegal immigration for votes.
- 13:22Do you think the Democrats really and truly do much for the illegal population?
- 13:26Or for the immigrant population at all? Not really.
- 13:31They have a deeper agenda to erase the American identity.
- 13:35And, you know, whatever. for whatever reason, but that's their game.
- 13:40They want to erase the American identity, and they want to flood the polls with
- 13:47illegal voters in order to maintain power.
- 13:51And then once they get control of the state apparatus, the state power,
- 13:55then they will try, just like Democrats are trying their best to,
- 14:00or Republicans are trying their best to maintain that control.
- 14:04I saw in recent days, old DJT was talking about a third term.
- 14:10Well, that's not bueno, folks.
- 14:13I don't care what you think about him getting robbed out of his second term or not.
- 14:19That's a whole different game.
- 14:22He's served two terms, or he will have served two terms.
- 14:27And that's enough. The last time we saw a three-term president,
- 14:32Congress had to rectify that because that last time we had a three-term president,
- 14:39he was essentially a communist sympathizer.
- 14:43Yeah, and you can hit me offline, however you feel about Franklin Delano.
- 14:48All right, never mind illegal immigration.
- 14:51Let's talk a little bit about the far left. Let's talk about the Antifa crowd,
- 14:56who on a daily basis decry fascism.
- 15:02Their name is Antifa, anti-fascist.
- 15:06They say they defend free speech as long as it aligns with their views.
- 15:11Yeah as long
- 15:14as it aligns with their views they are perfectly happy
- 15:18to use these state
- 15:22resources of surveillance to monitor your social media to make sure that you
- 15:29are not saying anything potentially racist or what's the catch for hate speech
- 15:35oh my god hate speech we can't have that Oh,
- 15:39no, we defend free speech, but not hate speech.
- 15:42I got news for you. If you draw in a distinction between free speech and hate
- 15:46speech, you're all wrong.
- 15:49You're confused and you have an agenda.
- 15:52Now, the difference between saying something ugly to somebody and calling their
- 15:57communistic views stupid and dangerous is different than actually threatening
- 16:05to kill someone or hurt someone. are actually.
- 16:10Inciting violence by actually telling someone, I want you to assemble and then
- 16:16go and attack this event or that event.
- 16:20That's not hate speech or free speech. That is, that's a clear threat.
- 16:25And there is a difference there. It's subtle. The hate speech,
- 16:29just calling something you don't like hate speech is not, that's not it.
- 16:34That's, you're not pro free speech.
- 16:37You're stifling opposing views, and that's a very fascist thing to do.
- 16:44Nobody is more coercive in their operations than Antifa in order to silence
- 16:51opposition, to silence conservatives.
- 16:54We have seen more in the way of silencing conservatives than we ever have in
- 17:01the way of silencing liberals, more violence.
- 17:06I'll give you a pretty egregious example. And this was, there was a girl named
- 17:12Lola Daviette, and she was a 12-year-old French girl, murdered by an Algerian immigrant.
- 17:19And Antifa went out there and protested against, they destroyed this girl's
- 17:26portrait, and they had a violent clash with, you know, regular citizens.
- 17:35In opposition to the indictment of this Algerian fricking migrant who murdered this girl, by the way.
- 17:45So murder is no longer a standard for the left. That's not the point at all to them.
- 17:50As long as it was a white girl, by the way.
- 17:54So there is a very big and obvious double standard from both sides of the aisle, folks.
- 18:02And Antifa, they're quite violent. They're quite violent.
- 18:05And I can tell you that Trump designated Antifa as a terrorist organization.
- 18:11Only last month or the month before. Okay, it's recent.
- 18:16And one of the things he cited as the reason for that was that their protests,
- 18:23that they use their protests, violent protests, as a means to suppress any and
- 18:29intimidate and suppress dissent, any opposing thought.
- 18:33And that's what they did. They do. They strong arm. They go out in force, in numbers.
- 18:39And by the way, they hire paid agitators to join in on these things.
- 18:45Now, are they a terrorist organization?
- 18:48I'd say they're more of a criminal organization than terrorist organization.
- 18:51Now, there's always the component, right? There's a handful of definitions of
- 18:57terrorism kind of floating around out there.
- 19:00SOCOM has one, you know, the State Department has one.
- 19:03They're a little different, I think. But the common theme that separates terrorism
- 19:10from criminal is the political component.
- 19:13And can we say Antifa is political?
- 19:16Yeah, I mean, we can. I think by definition, you could call them a terrorist organization.
- 19:25Based on the actual documented physical destruction that they do,
- 19:30and then based on the political component.
- 19:35If you put a dollar amount on how much damage to property Antifa's done over the past several years,
- 19:45or how many actual physical assaults they've perpetrated,
- 19:51they did it would
- 19:54it would be a lot there'd be high numbers there and
- 19:57those techniques are very very very fascist in nature very authoritarian in
- 20:04nature so it's not that they oppose fascism or authoritarianism it's that they
- 20:11oppose who's in charge of the,
- 20:15the authoritarian regime there as
- 20:19long as they're in charge if they're in charge and it's all good I guess.
- 20:23Mainstream Democrats will ignore all of this. CNN will report a mostly peaceful
- 20:29protest when they, when, when there's cities on fire in the background.
- 20:33And that's, you know, that's from a while back, but it's absolutely true.
- 20:38And they'll, they'll conveniently ignore all these actions.
- 20:42And then anybody who criticizes those actions, they'll just label them as racist
- 20:46and extremist demanding. They demand tolerance of their position, right?
- 20:54Well, no, it's American. It's the most American of all things to go out and
- 20:58protest, which ain't wrong.
- 21:01But it's not American to go burn down city blocks or to assault and murder the opposition.
- 21:10That's not American. So they leave out these little details.
- 21:16And this hypocrisy from the left and right, from the MAGA and the Antifa,
- 21:20from the Republicans and the Democrats, all it does is stifle any voluntary,
- 21:26rational, voluntary discourse.
- 21:28And every time there's an event, an incident at an event, every time there's
- 21:36a murder or someone beaten to a bloody pulp, I'll see you next time.
- 21:43All it does is invite the state into the situation. And like I said earlier,
- 21:48I think Republicans and Democrats, I think both of them want state control.
- 21:57They just want to make sure that they're in charge of it.
- 22:02And that might be a bridge too far here, but you have to, as an individual,
- 22:07hold yourself accountable to a standard of behavior.
- 22:11Believe what you believe, man.
- 22:13But don't think because there's a mob going on, you can throw a mask on and
- 22:17go and bust a bottle over somebody's head, jump up and down on a police car.
- 22:26Because then you're just a savage. If you're doing that only because you can,
- 22:31only because you're just a savage.
- 22:33There is no there is nothing good nothing profitable nothing advancing an argument,
- 22:43about destruction so look at yourself
- 22:46and look at look for your own inconsistencies and I'll give an example of that
- 22:50I and I've said this on a podcast I repeat myself a lot I know but here's the
- 22:56example I like to use because it's true now you've heard me say this folks there
- 23:02are some people out there that need killing.
- 23:05There are some people out there that need killing. I'm not going to say who.
- 23:11I'm not going to say what. I'm not going to say anything like that.
- 23:14But I used to be very much legally for the death penalty.
- 23:20I used to be for the death penalty because I think there are people who've done heinous, heinous,
- 23:29unthinkable crimes and are dead inside and empty inside and just don't care
- 23:36and have zero remorse and will do it again given the opportunity.
- 23:44Think those people do need killing. However, my cynicism, my faith in the state is so low.
- 23:54My faith in the state is so low that I don't think the state and that our system is capable,
- 24:03of assessing and adjudicating death upon anyone because they will too readily do it.
- 24:12Kind of, I don't know, I don't want to say flippantly.
- 24:16Everybody pretends to be very meticulous about their decision-making process,
- 24:20but you do have judges out there who are looking for a little bit of fame or
- 24:27whatever their reasons for doing things are.
- 24:30The system is flawed, folks, and it's flawed because it's filled with humans, and humans are flawed.
- 24:36But I no longer believe in a death penalty as a legal matter.
- 24:42Now, I do 100% believe if somebody breaks into your house and you shoot them, you're justified.
- 24:47Well, what if he just wanted to get out of the weather? What if he just wanted a sandwich?
- 24:53That's fucking irrelevant. I got to imagine somebody breaks into my house uninvited.
- 25:00I don't have time to assess their mental state. I don't have time to pontificate upon their motives.
- 25:11They've done a thing that's universally accepted as wrong.
- 25:15It's wrong to come into someone else's house uninvited. That's called trespassing.
- 25:20And libertarians do, among other things, value property rights.
- 25:25And you should value property rights.
- 25:28Even if you don't own property, even if you live in a, I don't care if you live
- 25:33in a Section 8 in the hood, behind that door is your domain.
- 25:40Should care for your domain and you should maintain it and be proud of it and
- 25:46be mindful of who comes in and out of it.
- 25:49And if somebody comes in it uninvited, well, why are they coming in uninvited, right?
- 25:56So I'm dragging on about people deserving what they get.
- 26:00The state, I don't think, has the wisdom.
- 26:03I don't think the state has the wisdom to put someone down.
- 26:06And there's plenty of examples of men who have been falsely accused,
- 26:13tainted evidence, some nefarious cop, lawyer,
- 26:19jury member, someone in the system who did a thing with ill intent.
- 26:27And then even then, dna right
- 26:30these days there are people who there's
- 26:34cases being reopened based on dna new dna
- 26:38technology that didn't exist in the 70s or
- 26:4180s or even early 90s and they're being exonerated because dna proves them innocent
- 26:47and and having spent you know 15 20 years in jail so the legal system has it's
- 26:54flaws because people in the legal system are flawed.
- 26:59That's just the answer there. So no, I don't think. So that's an example. That's my example of...
- 27:07To a consistency of intellectual consistency, right?
- 27:14I dislike the state. I distrust the state.
- 27:17If somebody I think is a criminal gets sentenced to death, I think the state has overreached.
- 27:25And if they put that person to death, then they've potentially just murdered
- 27:30someone who very potentially didn't deserve it.
- 27:34Now, that being said, There are some cases out there, folks,
- 27:37that are very cut and dry.
- 27:39And now you've got to have the sort of question about rehabilitation and things like that.
- 27:46I'm all about criminal reform, the criminal system, right, the justice system.
- 27:51I'm all about that. There needs to be that.
- 27:56But you can't complain about government overreach as a conservative or small
- 28:02government as a conservative.
- 28:04And then turn around in the same breath and carry on about being tough on crime,
- 28:10and putting everybody in jail for the most minor of infractions.
- 28:14Because these jails, and I'll point to Fulton County Jail right now on Rice Street.
- 28:18That place is an absolute shithole. It should be condemned. Now, do the prisoners do it?
- 28:26Mostly. How long has that building been standing, you know?
- 28:30And yeah, prisoners have a vested interest in destroying things.
- 28:33There. They use parts. They use bits for shivs.
- 28:38They use mattresses to bunker themselves in. There's all kind of stuff.
- 28:43They'll flood the toilet to get somebody in there to have to do the work so
- 28:48they get out of the cell for a little bit.
- 28:51There's just different things, but you can't be about small government and then
- 28:56be about building bigger and more prisons, more and more and more prisons.
- 29:02That's inconsistent. You can't be about, well, immigration, immigration, immigration.
- 29:08Let's cut down on all. What about the H-1B visa immigration?
- 29:13So we want to crack down on immigrant labor.
- 29:17Well, we'll say illegal immigrant labor.
- 29:20But then we want to be very selective about the H-1B visas so that we can bring
- 29:26tech, tech savvy Indians and whoever else in.
- 29:31It ain't about the race. It's just that it happens to be the tech sector.
- 29:35So do we favor the tech sector?
- 29:37So much so that we can give visas to these folks, but then we don't favor the
- 29:43agricultural system to give visas to those folks.
- 29:48That's where your cronyism comes in. I don't know, man. It's crazy.
- 29:52It's crazy how we can overlook one thing but then harp on another thing.
- 29:58And I attribute that to the mainstream media and to our echo chambers that I've talked about a lot.
- 30:04Be intellectually consistent. Be politically consistent.
- 30:08Don't let Trump slide, man. Don't let him slide on things that are wrong or bad.
- 30:14I remember the Clinton years. Well, I remember George H.W. Bush years, too.
- 30:20I remember the Clinton years. And the economy was pretty good under Clinton, if you remember.
- 30:26But if you also remember, there was a Republican House and Senate.
- 30:30So Clinton was pretty well stood up with, and you can like or hate Newt Gingrich,
- 30:36but he was a good politician.
- 30:40The economy was good. I think everybody would agree with that.
- 30:44Literally, everybody let that guy slide for getting a blowjob in the White House. Yeah.
- 30:52Charming. If you guys remember the Clinton years, they were touting the Clintons
- 30:57as the new, the second coming of Camelot.
- 31:01If you guys remember J.F. Kimmy and Jacqueline Onassis, back in those days,
- 31:06they called that Camelot.
- 31:08It was like a fairy tale, handsome and articulate and all that stuff.
- 31:14And Jacqueline Onassis was glamorous and reserved and perfect wife.
- 31:22Yeah all this and jfk was
- 31:25a war hero and yeah and
- 31:28he was sympathetic to to the well and
- 31:32you know he was anti-cia by the way and so that
- 31:35was camelot and then bill clinton because he's a lick willie because he's a
- 31:41smooth talker and he played the saxophone you guys remember that on arsenio
- 31:45hall he was cool man yeah he got oh i'm cool he's a cool president like the
- 31:51first like cool cool president.
- 31:53Now, JFK was really the first, but I think that's where they're making comparisons. You know what I mean?
- 31:58JFK's got Marilyn Monroe up there singing him happy birthday.
- 32:03Hanging out with Frank Sinatra and whatnot. Bill Clinton.
- 32:07Was that the second coming of Camelot? Nah, not really, man.
- 32:10Dude got a blowjob in the Oval Office.
- 32:13Dude put a cigar up Monica Lewinsky's bits.
- 32:19He got a free pass. He still gets a free pass.
- 32:22That joker's you know it goes around god knows how much
- 32:25they make him and and hillary how much
- 32:28they make uh you know doing a just doing
- 32:31a speaking to you know on a speaking tour on a speaking
- 32:34engagement i'd like to know i should i don't know if i could look that up or
- 32:38not i wonder how much they make on on one single speaking engagement and then
- 32:43where's the money go does everybody remember haiti i remember that yeah haiti
- 32:49you think monica linwinski was screwed by the Clintons.
- 32:53Haiti was screwed by the Clintons, good people.
- 32:56Screw it, but he got free pass. He was charming. He was charming. Played saxophone.
- 33:02What if Donald Trump was up in the Oval Office with, I don't know, an intern?
- 33:11Some intern, some 20, I don't know, 23, 24, 26 max year old intern.
- 33:19What if Donald Trump got a blow job today? Right now, today,
- 33:24in the Oval Office, and put a cigar in our private bits.
- 33:31Can you imagine the liberal explosion?
- 33:39Oh, my God. Inconsistency, folks. Double standards.
- 33:43Both sides hold double standards. It's good for me, not good for you, and vice versa.
- 33:49Is that okay?
- 33:52Now, I always say this, the left, you know, they kind of lean a little bit on communism.
- 33:57And they might say, well, if they're honest, they'll just say,
- 34:00yes, that's what we want.
- 34:03But one of the prevailing principles there is that the ends justify the means.
- 34:08So the left, you know, they have varying degrees of, you know, moral values, right?
- 34:16Varying degrees in a
- 34:19sense that and I'm not going to attribute the
- 34:22right in Christianity that ain't necessarily
- 34:26the case at all but the left makes no such pretense on Christianity or anything
- 34:33else they're happy to be belligerent and be heathenistic and all that stuff
- 34:39and that whatever man on a personal note,
- 34:43whatever but on a political note,
- 34:47And that's where Republicans go wrong when they apply.
- 34:50Now, I'm not saying it's wrong to apply some moral standard to a policy or to
- 34:54a thing, but you got to apply it consistently.
- 34:58And it can't be a moral standard.
- 35:01Based on your personal religion it needs
- 35:04to be a universal moral standard now i know
- 35:07like that's hard to that's kind
- 35:10of hard to pin down a universal moral standard and i
- 35:14and i differentiate between ethical and moral i
- 35:17think morals probably come from your religion
- 35:20and all these things and your upbringing and that
- 35:23and then ethics is sort of a yeah
- 35:28universal standard of behavior so you
- 35:31got to have ethical decision making and ethical policies
- 35:34that are universal now we
- 35:37can get a deeper conversation on whether we think sort
- 35:41of all ethics derive from christian values i think they kind of do but that's
- 35:47another conversation so that's where the republicans go wrong is they They try
- 35:52to attribute the things they're doing to being Christian or within Christian
- 35:58values instead of just being ethical.
- 36:00And a lot of lefties will look at the Republicans and their treatment or their
- 36:05attitudes of illegal immigration as unethical.
- 36:08Because we always talk about human rights as well, right? The standard of human rights.
- 36:13So every human has a basic dignity and a basic right as a human, not as a criminal.
- 36:20Even criminals have basic human rights, but that's where it kind of goes sour,
- 36:26where the Republicans will...
- 36:30They say it's moral, but it ain't necessarily ethical, which is weird, right?
- 36:36They'll say it's moral within their Christian values, but it ain't necessarily
- 36:39ethical on the treatment of people, you know, on a personal level. Yeah.
- 36:45Sort your stuff out, good people. and especially
- 36:49if you're into politics if you are into politics you know by all means please
- 36:54please you know get your sources from other places like don't just follow fox
- 37:03news or newsmax or whatever don't don't just follow hard right.
- 37:09And yeah, it's painful to go over to the opposite end of the spectrum and watch hard left outlets.
- 37:15It is painful. It's painful for me to watch either one.
- 37:18But I do occasionally, just to see the freaking blatant hypocrisy in action. Just to see.
- 37:27Yeah. So check it out. I could write a scathing and blistering critique of, I don't know what,
- 37:38a generic critique of the way the Democrats treat the Republicans as people.
- 37:47And I could go into great detail and I could use examples. And then what I could
- 37:52do is that very same article, that very same essay that I write,
- 37:57I could do an opposite swap of Democrat and Republican in the words, right?
- 38:05Every time I reference Republicans in that essay, take that out and put Democrat and then vice versa.
- 38:13And it would be the same exact article. I could talk about hyperbole and I could
- 38:20talk about exacerbating division and being,
- 38:28if not physically complicit,
- 38:31at least morally complicit in promoting violence against the other side.
- 38:41I could just swap the names, and it would be the exact same article.
- 38:45No words other than those two would change, and it would be equally as valid. Yeah.
- 38:53Both sides are very hypocritical.
- 38:57Both sides have very, very, what's the word I'm looking for? They read the news.
- 39:04They consume the actions and activities that go on out in the world.
- 39:11They consume that stuff with blinders on or with red colored lenses or blue colored lenses.
- 39:19And that's got to stop. That's contrary to critical thinking.
- 39:24Yeah, that's contrary to critical thinking. Be an individual.
- 39:30Step out of the red and blue.
- 39:33Criticize your own team if they deserve criticism.
- 39:39And if it's criticism to the point that you are intellectually honest and you
- 39:43go, you know what, that doesn't represent my beliefs.
- 39:46Hey, folks, the Libertarian Party is wide open.
- 39:50And you can, most people are misguided about the Libertarian Party,
- 39:54by the way. Most people are misguided.
- 39:56And I've said this before, and it's hilarious and true.
- 39:59Nobody is more critical of Libertarians than Libertarians.
- 40:03But isn't that the way you want it? Isn't that correct after all?
- 40:08Don't you want Republicans to be critical of themselves, to hold themselves to a higher standard?
- 40:14Don't you want Democrats to be critical of themselves and hold themselves to a higher standard?
- 40:20That's what libertarians do. They're very critical of themselves,
- 40:24and they all hold themselves to a higher standard.
- 40:26Now, there's some who have reached levels of smugness that is very about being
- 40:32so, that's the word I'm looking for, consistent,
- 40:34and I'm so much smarter than you that I'm elevated beyond you but that doesn't
- 40:40play out in the political world most in my in my experience most libertarians
- 40:47at least respect that the other guy has,
- 40:51a valid point it might be a weaker point than yours but it's valid maybe you
- 40:55know what I mean I don't know man I'm not I didn't mean to get on here and push
- 40:59libertarianism I just want to point out based on my conversation with my friend Hooch that.
- 41:07There being hypocritical stuff you know it's
- 41:10once a bad look for you makes
- 41:14you look like a weak person and you are a weak person if you push hypocrisy
- 41:19by any other name you know it's still hypocrisy so don't be a weak person be
- 41:25strong and stand in your actual beliefs now hey by saying that,
- 41:31if you are a right-wing extremist and you are a racist and you don't believe
- 41:39that there should be any brown people in America, then stand on it.
- 41:42Show the world what you are and be that and own it.
- 41:47Don't try to infiltrate what generally would be considered moderate,
- 41:53factions of the party and try to infect it with your church.
- 42:02Stand on your beliefs. Be man enough or woman enough to stand on your beliefs
- 42:07and then take what comes.
- 42:09And the same goes for liberals, antifas. I don't even know what your real true belief systems are.
- 42:16If you want everybody in the world to be transgender and
- 42:19light tan mocha chino
- 42:23and get their
- 42:26genitals mutilated and i don't know what i mean i don't even yeah be communists
- 42:32and was somehow communist but also islamists i saw a picture of a trans queer
- 42:41muslim something i'll just sign up.
- 42:47I'm a trans, queer, Muslim or something you may believe that you're you may
- 42:54be trans and you may be queer but you're not a Muslim you're not a devout Muslim anyway.
- 43:02They're not compatible, good people. I don't care what you think.
- 43:05I don't care what kind of fairy tale you weave into that situation.
- 43:13But that person holding that sign was not in a Muslim country,
- 43:16by the way. They were probably in the northwest of America somewhere.
- 43:22But if you want to be that, hey, stand on it. Stand on it.
- 43:26Be that and be all of that. But guess what? But don't try to make me stand on
- 43:30it because I'm not going to stand on it.
- 43:33Don't force me to do anything.
- 43:36You're going to hold your beliefs, however extreme they may be.
- 43:39Hold them and put it out there.
- 43:43And that's it. Don't try to put them onto me.
- 43:47I don't want the extremes from either side of that equation.
- 43:50I don't want it. I don't need it.
- 43:54It's inconsistent with what I think living a normal whatever life.
- 43:58And the word normal is very subjective, folks.
- 44:01But you can be a happy human being without ever forcing or trying to cancel,
- 44:07or trying to call out someone or trying to do all these things.
- 44:11Stand on your beliefs by all means. But don't be a hypocrite.
- 44:18Don't say you hate surveillance, but then you want certain groups,
- 44:22social media, to be monitored for hate speech.
- 44:26Don't say you hate surveillance, but you want to use facial recognition to spot
- 44:32potential criminals and terrorists.
- 44:35Because it's all of it. The state apparatus, every resource within the state
- 44:43is a double-edged sword and it cuts both ways.
- 44:49And the people who wield the sword at the time, they're only slicing it one
- 44:53way, but it's always going to change hands.
- 44:57And if it ever gets to the point where it doesn't change hands,
- 45:00we would probably got a big problem.
- 45:02The Democrats will be perfectly happy to flood America with illegal aliens who
- 45:09will vote Democrat and never have to worry about another campaign in their whole entire life.
- 45:16Always be in power and they would be so happy and the world and in america would go to shit,
- 45:23financially it would become a third world country and then it would be like
- 45:27every other third world country the highest levels of government would government
- 45:32would live very comfortably like they do now they would still enjoy all the
- 45:38the goodness that they get to enjoy and we would be out here,
- 45:43on some kind of universal income, free health care that is barely at the level
- 45:54of an infantry or like a medic, you know what I mean?
- 45:57Like the quality of services would drop.
- 46:01The cost, well, the cost would drop. I mean, we wouldn't have to pay for it
- 46:06for sure. We would pay for it via taxes.
- 46:08You wouldn't see very much of your paycheck if you had a paycheck at all.
- 46:13And if they were able to make everything state regulated, then you would just be on the state dole.
- 46:18And then what if Republicans took over? I don't know, man. I don't know. What if?
- 46:23It would be a very probably, well, I don't know, in any extreme version,
- 46:27I imagine a bunch of like American psychos, you know what I mean?
- 46:32A bunch of money hungry traders and mergers and acquisitions. Yeah.
- 46:40Murders and inquisitions and the weirdos and the weirdos and the,
- 46:45and the hippies would be second-class citizens.
- 46:49And, you know, I, I'm not a hundred percent sure what that would look like,
- 46:53but they would still be probably very much operate in the same way.
- 46:59As far as state control, I imagine. Yeah. I imagine.
- 47:03So I don't know what now I'm going off on like unverifiable things.
- 47:08I'm just telling you opinions here, but it's always just my opinion anyway,
- 47:12folks. It's always just my opinion.
- 47:15I'm going to circle back though. Here we go. Don't be a hypocrite.
- 47:19If you believe a way, believe that way, but don't, don't conveniently massage
- 47:23it in certain company. Just stand on your beliefs.
- 47:28Yeah. Just stand on them politically.
- 47:32If you believe it's okay to go out and murder somebody, no, that's psychotic and wrong.
- 47:40Believe what you want to believe and let other people believe what they want to believe.
- 47:45If it comes down to you arguing about it and fighting over it, just don't.
- 47:49Just choose not to. You can just as easily cuss somebody out or go,
- 47:56hey, man, you want to go grab a pint and talk shit over at Guinness?
- 48:02You might find out you both like some of the same things. You know what I mean?
- 48:06Yeah. It's just as easy to do one as the other.
- 48:10But these days, political discourse, at least on the socials and at least on
- 48:16TV, it's all dominated by emotion.
- 48:18And and that's emotions will play tricks on you so don't be guided by emotions
- 48:25stand on your beliefs don't be a hypocrite don't let emotions dictate your actions
- 48:31feel what you need to feel but
- 48:34don't let them dictate your actions because you get in trouble that way.
- 48:39Man all right i droned on and on i
- 48:42droned on and on what i'm getting at is
- 48:45be consistent don't be hypocrite consider
- 48:49other people have every bit
- 48:52as right to believe something as you do and if it's and if those beliefs are
- 48:58inconsistent they that doesn't change their rights it doesn't change yours you
- 49:03do not have a right to infringe upon someone else you do not have a right to
- 49:09infringe upon someone else.
- 49:13Good people golly land navigation

- 50:35All right. And then for shooting wise, let's see, November 9th,
- 50:38we got the Fall of the Wall two-gun match, celebrating the Fall of the Berlin
- 50:43Wall, one of the most iconic symbols of communism ever to have existed.
- 50:48I can remember watching that on the news as well on CNN, the very,
- 50:55very day that that wall came down.
- 50:57And it was very inspiring. And it's what inspired me, one of the things that
- 51:02inspired me to join the Army.
- 51:05Two-gun match november 9th and that's
- 51:08going to be four action stages at least
- 51:11two two-gun stages and probably one pistol one rifle
- 51:14and then two two-gun stages so it's
