  Speaker 2: prep on Sunday and then do the colosko. I was

  Speaker 2: Now the prep is uh if you haven't had one.

  Speaker 2: And it's cliche to say it's worse than the procedure itself,

  Speaker 1: I don't mind it. You don't know, no, because once

  Speaker 1: it's complete, I feel lighter and clean.

  Speaker 2: We're talking about while you're drinking drinking the stuff.

  Speaker 1: Well, it's once it's done, little feel good. It's a

  Speaker 1: little difficult to get through, but getting through it.

  Speaker 2: So there's a couple different ways you can you can

  Speaker 2: do the cleanse. There's a there's one where they just

  Speaker 2: have you get a bunch of Dulcalax and mirralaxe and

  Speaker 2: drink that. Or there is a prescription and so and

  Speaker 2: and when I when I got the prescription, the nurse said,

  Speaker 2: by the way, it tastes like coughs rup. Don't why

  Speaker 2: they don't make it taste better. There's got to be

  Speaker 2: a way they could put some different flavoring it.

  Speaker 1: I mean the one I did them before they offered

  Speaker 1: me different flavors.

  Speaker 2: I didn't have a different flavor tastes like coughs rup.

  Speaker 2: And so, so you have to to fast first, which

  Speaker 2: is not fun. And then you got to drink the

  Speaker 2: stuff and it's it's sixteen ounces of this liquid that

  Speaker 2: that tastes nasty. And then you have to drink two

  Speaker 2: more of those sixteen ounce glasses in one hour. Yeah,

  Speaker 2: you can't like spread it out. It's gotta be.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, and got to get things going fast.

  Speaker 2: And uh, I read some tips about how to prepare

  Speaker 2: for it, and they said things like, you know, have

  Speaker 2: Netflix handy, oh like like on your phone and and

  Speaker 2: be and be ready to just be in the bathroom

  Speaker 1: All the time. Yeah. I had. I moved actually I

  Speaker 1: had a portable toilet put in where the TV was.

  Speaker 2: Now they have changed the screening ages used to be

  Speaker 2: starting at fifty. They have moved it to forty five.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, and then if they and then it's just like

  Speaker 1: five years every five years or something fine something. Yeah.

  Speaker 2: So so for the last few years, my doctor has

  Speaker 2: been having me poop in a box which is the

  Speaker 2: COLIGARH and uh I've done that a couple of different

  Speaker 2: times and it's always come back negative. And she said

  Speaker 2: this time. You know you've done that a couple of times,

  Speaker 2: we should probably do the real thing.

  Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, because that other one is really not that accurate.

  Speaker 2: Well, that's not true.

  Speaker 1: It's not as accurate as a colony.

  Speaker 2: I will explain it to you because I talked to

  Speaker 2: my doctor at the colonoscopy when he was asking me

  Speaker 2: about it, and I said, is is the Is the

  Speaker 2: colon guard accurate? And he said, it's very accurate for

  Speaker 2: detecting cancer. What's better, though, is catching it before it
• 3:39
  Speaker 2: becomes cancer. If you have cancer, it will catch it,

  Speaker 2: but makes more sense to have a colonoscopy. And uh
• 3:48
  Speaker 2: so if.

  Speaker 1: You have a polyp, find those little polyps and they
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: can just take them out.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, and then that because those are the things that
• 3:54
  Speaker 2: turn into turn into cancer. So so I had I

  Speaker 2: had two polyps, which they he said, I cold snared.

  Speaker 1: Them, which is like you know about that man, I

  Speaker 1: cold spared them.

  Speaker 2: Like a little a little loop of wire.

  Speaker 1: Yep, yep. So so it's now, am I right? Do

  Speaker 1: I remember this? Right? If there are If there are

  Speaker 1: no polyps, you can wait five years.

  Speaker 2: Correct.

  Speaker 1: If you have some polyps, they want you back in
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: like three years. Three?

  Speaker 2: Yeah, So I so I have to come back in

  Speaker 2: three years. So they'll send those little guys off to

  Speaker 2: pathology and they'll look at them under a microscope.

  Speaker 1: Now, were you so they give you what ver said?

  Speaker 1: Or did they get the milk? So the first time

  Speaker 1: I ever had a colonoscopy, they gave me what's called
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: verse said, and they said, I said, well, this knock
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: me out. And they said, well, it just makes it
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: so you don't remember anything. You'll be pretty conscious, but
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: you won't remember what's going on. And I thought, okay, Well, well,

  Speaker 1: as it turned out, I was quite aware of what
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: was going on, and uh, and it wasn't it didn't

  Speaker 1: It wasn't painful or anything. But the doctor said, you're

  Speaker 1: pretty much awake or caught, right? I said yeah? And

  Speaker 1: he said you want to watch I can turn the
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: screen around and so I watched it.

  Speaker 2: I can't imagine that.

  Speaker 1: He said, Yeah, he said, you want to watch the

  Speaker 1: camera go go through your It was kind of an

  Speaker 1: odd sensation. I'm watching TV realizing I'm watching the inside

  Speaker 1: of my body.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, I wouldn't.

  Speaker 1: I wouldn't do that, right, Well, it was interesting.

  Speaker 2: I'm grateful for the profofall. Yeah, it works really well.

  Speaker 1: big colon os can be trying to sway people away

  Speaker 1: from the cheaper, more fun alternative of pooping in a box.
