Fancy’s is set to open in Washington Heights, transforming the historic Vliet Street corner once home to Biersal Tavern and Wonder Bar. Owner Nate Stiemke, known for bartending in a suit, is bringing back the neighborhood bar vibe with pool tables, TVs, and 16 rotating beers — including High Life — plus killer cocktails. He’s preserving the building’s charm with its tin ceiling and wood walls, even eyeing a revived (and cleaner) free peanut tradition. New touches? Popcorn machine, vintage oak booths, and fresh signage. License pending, but if approved, it’ll be open 11 AM to 2 AM, later on…
