- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the show, Carmen.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: I am so thrilled that you have the time for this.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Thank you very much for having me here and share a little bit of the brand uh history and the future of the brand.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I that's where I want to actually start, is just the real the beginning.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Like I want to know like what inspired you, what led to the creation of this amazing brand, you know, um all the all the details, if you could share those with us.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: I I'll try to, you know, it's a it's a long story and it's been already almost 12 years or 13 years, I think we're going for the 13 year.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Uh believe it or not, this came as uh as a beautiful surprise in my life.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Um uh about 12 years ago, I had a problem with my hair.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Somebody really messed up my hair, and at that point, my hair was really my kind of security blanket.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: And yeah, and and you know how it is when somebody like does a horrible job with a collar or a haircut and it tunes your whole day and your whole life.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: So, lucky for me, I was traveling at the time and I happened to come across what is today the Moroccan oil treatment.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: And his headdress says, I'm gonna put this product in your head and you're gonna see incredible results.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: I was blown away uh the moment he uh put it on my hair.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: And and that was love at first sight.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: So I had really no intention of creating anything.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: I simply got inspired by this incredible product.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: So I I went back home and immediately with uh my husband at the time, we started questions to bring it to North America and share it with the rest of the world.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: I thought it just I I had never encountered anything like it.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: And from the fragrance to the results, and even today, you know, I truly think that this is a product that I cannot live without it for my eat.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: And I hear often that people, you know, it is really one of most favorite products for you know, in in oh my gosh.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's an understatement.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: I can't live without it at this point.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's it's such an amazing, amazing brand.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And I think that every single product that I've you know I've encountered, I've tried, it's just everything is so unique and so well crafted.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: And that's really why, you know, I've been so excited to talk to you because you know, you've just done such an amazing job with the whole line.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: And you know, I want to dive into that more, but I for first I want to know, like, you know, other than I know that the hair care thing, like you, you were, you know, had a bad experience, but what else like, you know, inspired you to move into hair care, specifically like oil-infused?
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Yes, uh, actually, uh the time that my hair was ruined, I had a salon of my own.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Um, don't ask me how I got involved in a salon, uh, but I I will answer you.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: I had a hairdresser that was really nice, and you know, you create a relationship with your hairdresser that's almost as if they are family, brother, best friends, whatever.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: And he was uh looking for to open a salon in the neighborhood where I lived at the time in Montreal, Canada.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: And I thought, what a great opportunity.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I'm ready to go back to work, and I think it would be fantastic for me, even though I don't know anything about hairdressing or salon business.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: And I just jumped in and you know, uh little I knew that this was for me um kind of like uh the preparation for what was coming because what I've learned in this salon uh has no, I not university would have given me uh the knowledge that I acquired while I was an owner of a salon.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: Um and because of that, uh when we brought the brand to North America, immediately we decided that it would be something that would be distributed through salons, not immediately a retail product.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Well, why did you why did you choose that avenue?
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Like just because of, I mean, I I'm just curious, like, why did you want only salons to carry?
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Because I I experienced it in a salon.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Uh, like when I brought it to Canada and and I passed it along to some of the hairdressers, I I realized how blown away they were.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Uh the couple of reasons why this product is so amazing for the hairdresser.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: First of all, uh the intention is always to facilitate their work, their job, whatever they're doing with the hair.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: And what the Moroccan treatment did or does to this day is it speeds up the process of blow drying, leaves the hair manageable and easy to style.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: And you know, that alone makes the makes the styling a lot shorter.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: So you at least have 20% extra time as a hairdresser to do something else.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: So you know, then you realize that this is the best way uh to promote it, to market it, because they are the professionals, they can talk to the clients, they had experience, and and and and listen, the moment that somebody has the product put in their hair, you immediately fall in love, and then you touch your head and you see how soft it is and how amazing these conditions, and so it was no brain it kind of.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you know, I think that's that's actually very brilliant of you to do that because you know, I know that for me personally, like I trust my hairdresser, like I think more than I trust anybody on the planet.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Like, you know what I mean?
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Like when they tell me Exa use this for your hair, I'm like, okay, on it.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, I immediately buy it.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: So I think that's truly brilliant that you did that.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I think it it's it's good that the brand was, you know, recognized in that way before anything.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, one thing I want to talk to you about and I actually want to rave about is how the the oil and the products work for almost every single hair type.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: You know, for me, um, growing up, like I've had I have Indian hair, right?
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: So I'm Indian and my hair is like right in between of like Caucasian and you know African and African hair.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: And I've always had problems, you know, like with products.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: Either they're not enough or like they're too heavy, but with your products, like especially the oil, like I feel like I can put it on after I shower, and then I don't need to style my hair, you know, if that makes sense, you know.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: So like yeah, so like I want to know about that formulation and that you know that that detail that you we went behind making these products because it's truly, truly magnificent, you know, in terms of how it like attaches to my hair, how it works with my hair, you know.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: Yes, uh, I wish I could give you the formulation, but I will not.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: It's a very well-kept secret.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: And I mean, that's precisely why I fell in love with it in the first place.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Uh, the fact that it can be for all head types, uh, it's just just amazing.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: And and and after that, after we realized the morganol treatment is to be used for all head types, we always had that philosophy uh in the company as to create every single product is catered to you know every head type.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: Now, of course, we have categories such as volume, such as uh smoothing, such as curl that require certain products, but mostly, you know, uh for all hair types.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, and it really shows, you know.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: I think I don't think I've you know, for me, I tried it with my um, so my fiance has, you know, this interesting hair type.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: It's like it's very curly.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: And you know, we I put it in his hair, and he was like, Oh my god, like this is the best I've ever had my curls look.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Yeah, I told you it's magic.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: It's like it is, I think it's the argan oil that you know gives you that benefit for the hair and that hydration, that softness, that manageability that are all looking for.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: By the way, I'm really surprised that if you have Indian hair, you would have trouble because every time that I meet somebody from India, they have this gorgeous, like dark, thick, beautiful hair that looks like effortless.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: No, honestly, Carmen, I'm telling you, people don't know how to style our hair.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: You know, that's the biggest problem is like for me, I've had to hunt so many times for a good hairstylist that can properly cut my hair, properly layer it, because they'll do it, and then it just looks like you know, and I've had to tell them, I'm like, you know, you have to make sure that you understand my hair doesn't lay, you know, like normal, like you the way that after it's dry.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it's been it's challenging sometimes.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: That was my point.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, we all have you know issues with the hair.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: Very few people can just walk out of the shower and then let it dry naturally and you're happy or go and have a haircut that you are happy with.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: I think, you know, hair is one of those things that you have to get used to living with it and find products that are gonna help you and keep it healthy and is part of life.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: And I think, you know, okay, so like I want to actually say this on air because, you know, for me, like I'm very um, it's very close to my heart is, you know, in my culture and Indian culture, you know, I grew up with my mother always giving me like a coconut hair, you know, oil hair massage every single day.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: And like, you know, putting oil in our hair is like part of our own, you know, culture.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: And it's like embedded in just how Indian women take care of their hair, you know.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: So I think that, you know, having products that you can use that are not only like, you know, good for your hair, but they also kind of remind you of, you know, like just your own traditions and your own culture.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: I think that's just so inspiring.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: So I think you know, there's so many different layers to what you've done here with this line.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: So I I really appreciate that.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: And I just wanted to say it.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: You're totally right.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: I think we are looking for, I mean, in the past, people used to use oil directly in the hair, you know, avocado oil and all kinds of oils, and it's there to stay.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: I think now the way with technology, how can we apply oil without being oily?
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: It's just amazing.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: And you know, we managed to achieve that.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: And I'm so happy that people appreciate that.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Um, I want to actually move on and ask you a little bit about, you know, um just the you know, the impact you've had on the education um of hairstylists and you know, helping salons, you know, just understand hair better, you know.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: So I want to talk about the education aspects of your company and um, you know, if you can tell us a little bit about that.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: Um, the stylist and salon community has been a key contributor to the success of Moroccan oil from the very beginning.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: Honestly, they are the bread and butter of who we are as a brand.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, as I told you earlier, our earliest adopters were head stylists.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: They were vital in the launching of the products.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Uh, and honestly, we would not be here without them, uh, with their support and back in the salon.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: So uh, you know, we are we're giving back now, you know, now we're very well established as with the academy, and and honestly, for us it's so important to continue um educating uh with because there are new techniques and new products and new uh uh developments are there all the time.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: So for us it's very important to continue that relationship that we have with them.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: In fact, you know, uh for me personally, uh the goal is to uh highlight even more.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: It's not not highlight, it's not the right word, but I wanted to say is to elevate progressing, uh you know, not as a profession, because it is a profession, it's not just a trade anymore.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: And and and that's the goal.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: And you know, so glad that we were able to create this beautiful academy that it's been going on without stop since we opened it uh about a year and a half ago, two years ago.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Excuse me.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, it's uh it's uh super, super important for us to have education.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Um right.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: Now I think I, you know, and that's very that's very interesting that you mentioned that because I know on a few of my previous episodes, you know, I was talking to, I think, um, you know, one an editor, and we were talking about hair.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: And I'm sorry, do you need do you need a break, Carmen?
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: I was just trying to find the microphone.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Um, I I wanted to just say, you know, I think it's very interesting because, you know, I was talking to um, you know, an editor, and we were talking about hair and how important it is for hairstylists to understand and you know be more educated in all types of you know, hair, like just different um, you know, textures of hair.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Like you should be able to like go to a hairstylist and they are well versed in how to like take care of you and you know, just give you the best tips and stuff.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: So I think education is such a fundamental, you know, aspect in this industry, um, especially right now, you know, especially when things are opening up again with COVID and you know, all that good stuff.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: So I love that you um I love that you're really dedicated to that aspect, you know, in in terms of education and stuff.
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: And um I think this is just the beginning for us because you know, now with online classes and in-person classes and so much going on, honestly, that it is wonderful.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, the education team has grown tremendously since we started with education.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: I it's it's really, really nice to see that.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Now I I want to move on a little bit and ask you about um, I know you had, you know, a new launch on the 13th for the the body, the hair and body mist.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: And I am really excited to learn about that and talk about like just how scent plays a role in the line.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Because, you know, I can honestly say, like, you know, even with the oils and the products that I've already tried, like it's the the scent is almost like aromatherapy.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm trying to say.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, it's like almost like you're in an you have an experience when you're using the product.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: You know, it's not just about, oh, I'm putting, you know, a hair product in my hair.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: It's more about this is a minute, you know, let me just breathe.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: And and it really takes me into that space of just, you know what I mean, calm calming me down.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: So I want to talk about that and um, you know, just how you've crafted that in terms of like um all the aspects, you know, around of course, of course.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: Um, first of all, uh it brings uh to life the scent that we're known for.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: So many people remark on the scent of our products and how they use some of the products to be able to have the scent.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Uh, so it made perfect sense to give people our iconic scent in a fragrance.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: Um you know, as you know, our Moroccan Old Treatment launched this brand with the scent.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: So to bring it in full cycle with an actual fragrance is really special.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: Uh this is just a beautiful product, honestly.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: Like four years in the making, um it it takes a long time to get something right because it wasn't just about the fragrance, it's it's about how it dispenses, and that the bottle is it's it's it's a beautiful bottle and comfortable to hold it in the hand.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: Um so many different aspects.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: So we waited until it was absolutely perfect.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: And to be honest, uh, on top of that, uh the fact that we launched right now after this horrible kind of year of being uh locked down and uh it's just perfect timing.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: So we cannot be happy uh to launch this product at this time and share with the rest of the world.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: I think it's gonna be an amazing product.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like everything else that you come out with.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: You know, I and I and I like that.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: I like that you you put so much thought into your line, you know.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: I think in this in this industry, in this business, like, you know, I see so many brands that are just coming out with like redundant things, you know, and it's like every day, it's like, well, well, how is your product different than, you know, so XYZ?
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: You know, and I never like when I, you know, especially with the products I've used, I never felt like that with yours.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: It's always like a unique experience and something that, you know, it's like I can't live without it.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: It it's my essentials, you know what I mean?
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: So, like, how do you maintain that?
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I want to ask you like, how do you maintain that uniqueness and that that space in this industry where you don't have to like, you know, it's really like no one's really competing with you.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: You're in your own, you know, like it's a own your niche, like you have your own niche.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: Uh, I think a couple of factors.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, one is uh the fact that we have uh the fragrance is our own fragrance, and you know, very special and iconic.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: Then we have the argan oil story that is also very honorable, like and and I think those two factors are super important.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: Then very, very important as well is that we are in content, constant, constant communication with the consumer, uh, with the salon.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: So we're listening, and I think that's something that we have never never stopped doing is listening to what what is needed out there, what are the consumers looking for, and and listen, we live in a very fast world today where you know we have to have our fingers on the pulse to see what's going on.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: And it's not just about creating another product, it's making sure that the product that you are creating will be used, and that would be uh have incredible uh, you know, that the claims are really true to what we're claiming.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: And and it just again, you know, listening to what the consumer is looking for and making sure that we don't repeat and that we're not copying and trust me, it's not easy, it's quite challenging because you know, when you look around you, you know, how can you be creative when everything is practically, you know, out there?
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: But there are ways to create things that are special and different, whether you know, even if it's like a category that it already exists, but you know, you give it a twig and and there you have something new and different.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: And and again, uh you said it perfectly.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: We're not about quantity, it's about quality of the product that we create.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, absolutely.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: And that shows, you know, it really shows.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: I want to actually, you know, talking about amazing products in your line, I want to actually move to the dry shampoo for dark tones because this is, you know, everyone listening out there, you need to go get this product like right now if you have like darker hair.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: And because for me, I never used dry shampoo, you know, in the past.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: Like I every time I've tried to use uh dry shampoo, it leaves that white, you know, the white residue, and it just like doesn't smell good.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: And like, you know, I just had so many issues with other products.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: But then when I tried yours, it's just it's amazing, you know, and it not only is it good because I have darker hair and it blends in, but it's more importantly, it doesn't have this overwhelming, like, you know, like scent or aura that just make you know what I mean, like you're breathing it in all day.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: So I want to talk about how you came up with this idea and you know what made you really launch this product.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Yes, of course.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, the marketing team, we have an incredible team uh of people that are consciously looking at how to make things better.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: And we realize that, like yourself, that most of the dry shampoos out there in the market will leave that white residue.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: So if you're not blonde, you really like you have to wait a long time to get rid of that white residue.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: So the technology that that used to create to make the dark tones dry shampoo is precisely not to have that uh that kind of residue.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: Um if you would like more technical information, I'm sure one of the girls will be happy to uh give you um more information.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I mean I'm just I was just very interested because this is like the first time I've used, you know, a dry shampoo and just fell in love with it.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: So, you know, I'm just I want to just rave about it.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: And everyone listening, like this is genuinely one of my favorite products.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Like, I keep it with me.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: You know, if I'm going to the hospital, I have like I'm on call like all night, I'll have it with me.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: Just one of those like like must-have products for me at this point.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: And that's why I was just so impressed.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: So Yeah, that's so nice to hear.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: I we hear it often, actually.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: It's one of our best sellers, both blonde and the dark tones.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Um, thank you.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: And um, I actually, you know, I want to talk a little bit more about um, you know, in terms of like just the way that things are changing in the beauty industry, you know, something I'm starting to notice is so many people are talking about sustainability and you know, everyone's just kind of you know on this mission of just, you know, checking off.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: I feel like they're checking a list off.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: So, but like I want to talk about your approach to sustainability and you know how um how the brand is really approaching that aspect.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: Uh super important to us.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: We started actually quite some time ago uh with different initiatives.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Uh to put it simple, I think you know, sustainability for everyone today is like a journey.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: I think we are learning every day of new ways how to improve uh the practices that companies have, from offices practices to the manufacturing practices, shipping and all that.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Um for us, you know, at the moment we are improving packaging, we are doing responsibly manufacturing, supporting our communities through uh meaningful partnerships, all these kinds of things are happening uh regularly.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Uh but again, is it's a journey.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: We can, I mean, I wish I had a little magic wand that I can just change uh you know, all the plastic that exists, you know, like uh anything that is really damaging to the earth.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: I wish, but it it cannot happen overnight.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: But you know, what is important I think is to be aware and and to be constantly looking for ways to change.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: And also for us, it's super important to, whenever we have an opportunity, is to educate other people on the impact that we can have uh by the way that we consume products and the way we consume things in general.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: And having this platform for us is like incredible to be able to share with the world uh the small little changes that we're making, but that in the long term, hopefully, you know, in 10, 20 years, we'll have a very different conversation.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: Um it's a journey.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you know, small changes is what matters because that's what builds up to create actual change, you know, like big time.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: So I I like that you're being you know honest and and real about it.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: You know, I think a lot of companies they overcommit, you know, to sustainability and like in a very extravagant way.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: And I think, you know, for me, I look at that and I'm like, I don't think this is logical, you know, what you guys are saying.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: But like, you know, I know with with you, you're just what you described, like this makes sense.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, it's small changes, educating the consumer, you know, these are all things that really at the end of the day are you know true sustainabilities, you know.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: So um, yeah, thank you very much for that.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: And you know, we'll continue this commitment.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: Um, I actually want to ask you just, you know, my my one question I I like to ask all the amazing women um that I invite onto the show is for some advice for all of the young entrepreneurs out there, the young hairstylists, or if there's someone out there who wants to start your own salon or your own line, can you offer some some guidance and some wisdom for them?
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: You know, uh that's it, that's a question that you know you get to ask uh constantly.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: And you know, I wish I had a a two-answer to say, like, do this, do that.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: Uh it is hard.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: I mean, besides having a passion for something, I think today, whoever goes into any uh any businesses, yeah, do a lot of research.
- 25:58SPEAKER_01: I think be very knowledgeable on what you're doing, be prepared to uh work really hard.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: Uh but but but you know, you have to really go into something with passion.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: You have to go to do something, not just put the money.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: I think the money to me comes as a bonus.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: But I think it's like when we have a purpose, when we do something with a purpose, and and and this something that you do and will contribute to a better world, uh to make a contribution to society, I think it's it's it's gonna succeed.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: But again, I I think uh getting knowledge of whatever that is, if you are creating a line of product, is that line necessary?
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: Like why do you believe in that line?
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: And and how can you make it the best imaginable line that you know you envisioned from the beginning, whatever the idea was, and go all the way and own it, you know, but with a purpose, with a passion.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: Uh and everything else is just like technicality, you know, your accounting, you know, operations and everything else.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: But I think that purpose and that passion is what needs to drive that business.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: That's such good advice.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: And I hope everyone listening out there please take heed to that because you know, I that that's very true, especially, you know, in a world we live in.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: We live in this world of just, you know, people want quick money, they want quick success, you know, they want everything overnight, and it's just it doesn't work that way.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: So I completely, I completely believe in what you just said.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
