- 0:48Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin.
- 0:51This is Angel, and I want to welcome every single one of you to this show.
- 0:55If you don't know me, Angel Santana here.
- 0:58Today's message will hit homes for so many of us, and it's entitled,
- 1:02Don't Let Stress Steal Your Peace.
- 1:05It's kind of like a backup to the 60-second message that I put on earlier this
- 1:09morning. So let's be real.
- 1:11Stress has a way of showing up in every season of my life and your life,
- 1:15everyone's life, right? Maybe it's your job, your finances, your family, or relationships.
- 1:20But one thing that I've learned is this.
- 1:24Stress doesn't define us. Faith does.
- 1:28And I've talked about that before. We live in a world where pressure never seems to stop.
- 1:33Maybe you're trying to buy a home, and every time you check the interest rates seems impossible.
- 1:39I know that feeling, right, honey? Yeah. Maybe you're a new parent or juggling
- 1:44work and family, wishing you could just sit down for a few seconds,
- 1:48a few minutes, sometimes even with your spouse, for a quiet meal without interruptions.
- 1:52Or maybe you're in a workplace filled with negativity where someone always has
- 1:57something critical to say. Been there, done that.
- 2:00It's easy to let those moments build up until you feel like you're running on
- 2:05fumes. But here's the truth.
- 2:07God never intended for stress to control your life.
- 2:11He calls us to hand it over to him. So do that.
- 2:15Because if we turn to one of my favorite verses in the Bible,
- 2:19it's Philippians chapter four, verses six through seven.
- 2:22Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition.
- 2:29With thanksgiving, present your request to God.
- 2:33I said it slowly, present your request to God.
- 2:36I'm repeating that. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
- 2:41will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- 2:46That's scripture. And that scripture reminds us that peace doesn't come from
- 2:51everything going right.
- 2:53Peace comes from giving everything to God.
- 2:55You see, faith isn't about pretending.
- 2:59Faith isn't about pretending life is easy. It's about remembering who walks
- 3:03beside you when it's not.
- 3:05So when you wake up in the morning, pray before the stress begins.
- 3:08When the co-worker tests your patience, pause before you respond.
- 3:13When your mind starts to spiral, stop and say, God, I trust you with this.
- 3:20I have had those moments to myself.
- 3:23And times when I felt stretched in, running around with my children,
- 3:27running from one thing to the next, wondering how I'd make it all work.
- 3:32But every time I stopped to breathe, to pray, to hand my worries back to God,
- 3:38something amazing would happen.
- 3:40My perspective then changed. The problems didn't vanish overnight, but my peace returned.
- 3:45God's peace isn't about ignoring reality. It's about reminding you that he's
- 3:50bigger than your reality.
- 3:52And if you give him your stress, again, if you give him your stress,
- 3:57he will replace it with his strength.
- 4:00Think about that today. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before you today
- 4:04with gratefulness and we are grateful for your unending love.
- 4:08We lift up every person listening to us here today and those carrying burdens,
- 4:13those feeling tired and those unsure of what tomorrow holds.
- 4:17Remind us, Lord, that your peace is stronger than your stress.
- 4:20Calm your hearts, renew our minds and guide us back to you.
- 4:25One prayer, one moment at a time.
- 4:29In Jesus' name we pray. Friends, as you heard this message today and you head
- 4:34into your weekend, remember this.
- 4:36You're not alone. You're not forgotten.
- 4:39Whatever you're facing, God is already there working it out for the good.
- 4:47That faith, live again. And it starts right now. Exactly, Ariel.
- 4:52And that wasn't an accident. Ariel's telling you.
