- GTW Rapsodo MLM2XPRO audio: RapSoto just released the MLM 2X Pro. It's the follow-up to the MLM 2 Pro, one of the most popular launch monitors under a thousand bucks. And it sells for $899.99. It reads putts now, it's faster, and it brings RapSoto's first ever PC app and a new library of premium studios courses. We both put it through its paces, and today we're telling you what we found and who should buy it. This is Golf Tech Weekly. Presented by Play Better. Welcome back. Today it's all about the brand new RapSoto MLM 2X Pro and the new software that comes with it. We'll get into the upgrades, the new PC app, and RapSoto Studios courses, putting, and what we found in our testing. If you're watching on YouTube, give us a like, subscribe, and drop your questions in the comments. And if you're shopping, use promo code GTW at PlayBetter for the best pricing on qualifying products. Well, so we've got the MLM two X Pro for $899.99. the old outgoing or or still current actually, but no longer upgraded or updated MLM two pro originally listed for $699.99, but can currently be found on sale for as little as five forty nine ninety nine. the new device looks quite similar to The old device. almost identical, I would say. Daniel, was that was that your first impression? I I suppose it's the it's the obvious one. Yeah, there's been a few times when I was doing the testing process and even when we first got out of the box, it's like how am I gonna tell these apart? Luckily the the new MLM two X Pro says it's it's model right on the back of it, so you can actually see it right there. that's the only bit the way that I've really been able to determine the difference, and they are slightly different colors. But yeah. you know, I think they they team at Rap Soto really liked the MLM2 looks, so they kept it pretty much the same. Yeah, yeah. Functional device to start with. physically, let's talk through just kind of what physical differences there are here. There are a couple. Daniel, you noted the color. the probably the most notable one to me is that we now have an adjustable back. tripod leg which which aids leveling when you're on uneven terrain. We also now get a built-in display on the on the top of the device that g that gives you an actual leveling guide so you you know when the device is precisely leveled. It also shows you your battery status, your connection status. This is not a data readout screen so so not to be confused with something like the The new Foresight GC2 or the Bushnell Launch Pro or Unicore i Mini or something like that. Still though, very functional. We now get 12 RPT balls included with purchase. So these would be the balls needed for accurate indoor spin measurement. with the original MLM2 Pro, we only got three of those. and other than that, looks wise pretty much identical. the biggest upgrades here are are mostly internal. So a much faster processor. we now get a faster shot to show time. Rap Soto claims that connection to be twice as fast and the shot to show time to be twice as fast, hence the 2x name to the model number. probably most notably we now have putting, whereas the old MLM2 Pro was strictly autoputt. the MLM2X Pro. now gives us the option to play all the way to the cup in sim rounds. and we get a brand new PC app for the first time with RapSoto. We also get an updated mobile app and for the first time we get new RapSoto Studios courses. These would be their new premium native sim courses. we're gonna break all of this down in depth, but that's just kind of a I'll walk through of a few of the high points. Quick membership heads up here. A lot of what we'll talk about today does run on a membership. There are two yearly tiers. You've got core for $199.99 that unlocks the full data, swing video, all the practice tools, the PC app and the standard courses, and then you've got Studios for $399.99, which adds Those new premium courses. So we'll get into all of the costs and what's associated with what as we go. Probably the good news here is that RapSoto left alone what was already working so well. Daniel, you and I talked in a previous episode. We went deep on the original MLM2 Pro. And at the end of that, I think both of us were satisfied that to us the MLM2 Pro was in fact the most accurate launch monitor under $1,000. Well, now it's every bit as accurate, but even slightly more accurate. And so that's great news. And by and large, they've left kind of the the tracking engine other than the faster processing speed alone. so okay, so of these upgrades, and we'll go in depth on each of them, but Daniel, which one of these excited you most upon testing? Yeah, so like like you said, Mark, we we really deemed the L two Pro as, the most accurate, probably the best launch monitor under a thousand dollars. I think we confirmed and agreed on that. and while we found that that was the most accurate and and the best, now I feel like this L two X Pro is the most complete launch monitor under that thousand dollar price point. But my favorite upgrade and the best the best thing is pretty simple. I think it's honestly the built-in screen on the top of the device. it's very basic, but it's extremely functional. leveling the device for the proper tilt makes things extremely easy. and then even as simple as like when you're powering off the device, just indicating how long you need to hold the power button for so then you fully turn the device down. The battery level, even the battering level while you're charging. So It's small, but it's very functional and it does everything you need it to. Sure, we'd love a display maybe on the front of the device that shows some data. maybe that's maybe in the future for Rap Soto or something down the line. but overall I think that's my favorite feature. what about you, Mark? I mean, what what kind of blew you away right away? Yeah, I'd say two things probably. Probably first and foremost for me was the the shot to show time. they say it's twice as fast. I think it's at least twice as fast. the MLM2 Pro had had a bit of a a notable lag to it from the time that you hit the shot to this time that you would see that shot tracer show up in the software. Now it's pretty much instantaneous. And that, those are small things, but they do add to kind of the realism and and just the pace of play as you're as you're enjoying sim golf or even just hitting balls on the virtual driving range. And so that really stood out to me a lot. And then the whole leveling thing that they've that they've put together here is super slick. Like you said, you get to see it on the screen. so it actually shows you as you're moving this scrolly wheel, it shows you as the as the tilt of the device comes to perfectly level. And then you also get that confirmation in the app also. found that to be super useful. did want to call out something that you you were at least for me were the first to call out. when when this product first came out, you said, Why didn't they make all three of the legs telescopic? where all three of them could could have that that leveling. And I totally agree with you. I think that that would have been a smarter design. sure it it there might be some cost added to that, I understand. But boy, you know, s it it is great to have this for uneven train, but still now if we encounter side hills of any kind, it doesn't really help us there. So so Had we been able to get that in all three legs, that would have just been the ultimate. As it stands, I'll still take it. I mean, this is this is pretty sweet and a really, really nice improvement. so both of us tested this indoors and outdoors quite extensively. And I know you also put it up against the Pro T VX overhead device indoors, which on the surface for for Rhapsoto, it might not be a fair fight because the the Pro T V X is a more expensive unit and and and probably a more capable one. But curious to see to to hear from you how it held up. Yeah, and honestly there was there was two realistic reasons why I I tested it against the Pro T V X number one. It's very simple to not have a favored target line or have any type of of like interference with any radar signal, anything like that. So for me it just made made sense to to do that type of comparison. And it's what our indoor facility has. So to be able to go there and be able to just simultaneously test it, it's awesome. so it was more just a a data verification test for me with that. and just making, you know, kind of seeing how the numbers lined up. So the the kind of the numbers I like to see and and compare are obviously ball and clubhead speeds and then launch angle, spin rate and any club data that lines up that they both get. So again like clubhead speed, club path, just to kind of see how they're comparing to each other. quite frankly, I was pretty blown away. it was it was marginally different, if anything, and the differences were consistent across the way. So for instance, my carry distance were like three to four yards off with every single shot. So that doesn't mean that one is right or wrong. That just means that they're using a different algorithm to calculate their distances. So in reality, ball speed, spin, All the other data lined up within very, very much reason. it was marginally different. Spin rates within fifty to a hundred RPMs on every swing. Now, this is while I was using an RPT golf ball. Right. So overall I I hit wedge, I hit middle iron, I hit a lot of drivers because I just got a new driver. So I was doing some comparison testing to my to my old driver and my new one. And honestly, I I just was blown away with with the with the accuracy, but then like you said, Mark, I was even more to blown away with the lack of shot latency. literally almost instant. Like I I obviously I was in the simbe, so I'd hit the shot and I'd look up ahead of me. But there was a few times I hit and then I look at my phone 'cause I was running the mobile app on the L two X Pro and it was instant. All the shot shapes were identical. I mean it it really did perform very impressively using the RPT golf balls. How was your experience as far as indoor testing? Did you would you find it to be pretty similar to that? Absolutely. I I actually found it to be pretty much spot on, similar to my experience with the MLM two pro, which I already thought was extremely accurate. one thing about the MLM two pro in my experience was I I had some some issue with capture rate with shorter chip shots, and I found that to be improved with the MLM two X Pro. So I thought that was a win. we're gonna get into putting here in a little bit, which is one of the big breakthroughs for the MLM 2X Pro. But yes, just as you said, found it to be undeniably accurate. I think that's one of the most compelling stories here to tell for the price point. is man, I mean, impressively accurate for something that costs less than a thousand dollars actually puts a lot of pressure on products that cost more money because for some people, you know, with taking to account all of the other variables that go into it. But gosh, when we're talking about just data tracking, you know, man, you can get quite a lot without even cracking that $1,000 mark. I do think it's interesting that you brought up specifically the RPT balls. I know you did some testing without the RPT balls. Talk about that experience and how that differed. Sure. So for those of you that don't know, maybe you're just getting into research with Rap Soto products, but the MLM two pro and the MLM two X Pro require that you use these RPT golf balls. And what they are is they're a golf ball with a specific pattern around the golf ball. It's not a consistent pattern, it's kind of random from what we see on the golf ball. but it allows you to set the golf ball down, you don't have to set it any certain direction and you can just hit the golf ball. And when you use these golf balls, the the backspin or spin rate of the golf ball is measured. Okay. And people might think, okay, well that's not really that big of a deal. You know, I can just use regular golf balls and I'll just get calculated spin rates. Sure, you can, and everything is going to function. You know, it's going to capture every swing most likely. But with spin rate being calculated, now your distance is cow is calculated even more. It's not a it's not a true measurement of distance. It's not a true measurement of ball flight or shot shape. so it affects multiple different areas of the trajectory and the distance of of each swing. So this is the same as if you take either of these device to a normal driving range. You're gonna be getting calculated spin rates outdoors versus indoors. Now outdoors, because there is some radar involved with the product, there is gonna be some measurement and and at least assistance there from radar. But overall it's not gonna be as accurate of a product if you're not using those RPT golf balls. And I saw that to be true. now the spin measurements were close, but they were probably more so in the 500, you know, within 500 RPMs of spin rate. Sometimes they were, you know, a thousand or two hundred. Maybe it was like a double spin or a half spin or something like that. but it just you could tell the consistency dropped off significantly once you stop using those golf balls. But when using them, it it's insanely impressive with my testing. Well and what's cool too is is you now get a dozen of them. So that's a big upgrade. the MLM two pro came o with only three of these. You also get options. So you can get these including in the Pro V1 model or the Callaway Chrome Tour, which is what I was testing with. so that's nice as well. so you get some premium golf ball options, but getting 12 of them was really, really nice for one thing because the golf ball obviously eventually does wear out. but really just practically speaking, I found it really enjoyable to be able to just hit all the way up to a dozen shots before I had to then go over to the to my impact screen and corral them and collect them and bring them back to my hitting area. Much more rhythmic for my practice rather than having to stop after every three shots to collect the golf balls if you hadn't, you know, purchased extras. so nice there. these are about a s 70 bucks a dozen. So right there you can see a little bit of the value coming back to you. right away that price difference. you know, that's a that's real value. So so that's a nice inclusion and and I think a a a a win. so as for as good as some of the the physical improvements are, to me, the biggest story really with this whole relaunch or the the MLM2X Pro is the accompanying software. and of those components. I think the new PC app might be the biggest biggest leap in the whole bunch. Daniel, you got you got a look at the PC software when it was still in development at the PGA show. And we had a hard time getting you out of the hitting bay. you you found it impressive right off the bat. just kind of talk about your initial impressions with that and and what that adds now to the product. Yeah, I I think my very first initial impression will probably go carry quite a bit of weight with it. when we when we walked into the PGA show booth, they kinda had this software playing on all these big TVs around the booth and and just spots that were at good vantage points for people to be able to see it. And we walked in and I was like, cool, they're running GS Pro on these on these screens and stuff. I'm like, That's pretty cool. You they got all these set up with GS Pro and stuff like that, you know. And we walked into the bay and started learning a little bit and it was like, my gosh, this is actually your own software. that looks really impressive. So, yeah, we spent a lot of time with with they were also announcing their overhead launch monitors. We sent a lot of time hitting on this software on that device, which is still yet to be announced and released. but then also on the MLM two pro at the time we we did a lot of testing and and hitting on this software. It's really impressive. it's visually pleasing. It looks like a high end simulation software. It plays and feels like a high end simulation software. it it really feels like they've they've brought what was a very basic option and and brought it to now being a very premium feel golf simulator. I mean, to be able to have simulation software like this, with a product under a thousand dollars, I think that carries a lot of weight. And and really helps people make that decision a little easier, I think. Yeah, I agree. I I was very, very impressed with the PC app. We'll talk more about the new and improved mobile app in a second, but the PC app to me was the big win here. just as you said, very aesthetically pleasing, very intuitive and chalk full of options. You've got a lot, a lot of choices as far as practice options. I the driving range, it's a virtual driving range. It's it's maybe in and of itself still somewhat basic, but you do now even have some more customization options in terms of, what time of day you want to hit or a little bit of what you want the background to look like. Those are cool improvements, but it's all of the configurability of how you want to see the data, how much data you want to see, what data points you want to see, what practice options you want to go into, and just the way that it's all organized so intuitively where it's just so simple. To click around and and find what you want, the mini map functionality that's that's available to you if you want it, or you can you can minimize it and get rid of the screen. the data parameters that you have on the left side, you can choose multiple different tiles up to 10. automatic swing video replay after each shot, the whole alignment feature. and we haven't even gotten into the the golf courses themselves, the new RapSoto Studios courses, but just this new PC software, it's impressive. It is every bit up to par with maybe the standard that we see from other leading brands in terms of their PC software. but just like with some of those other things, it does require a Windows PC and a somewhat substantial one. Not Quite as substantial as what some of the other competing softwares require in terms of horsepower, but still you're gonna need a gaming PC to pull this off. you can go all the way up to 4K graphics, but you do have a a little bit lower tier HD option that is still quite impressive. and it's a big win. you also have some functionality options to Either mirror what you're seeing on your projected image with what you're seeing on your computer image, or if you want to get the two separate displays concurrently, you can do that, which which I find to be super cool because now essentially you have two screens going at once that you can operate on. these are all great wins, and I think something that Rhapsoto right rightfully is proud of. and so as part of this this new PC software. They have their Rapsoto Studios courses. and Daniel, just as you were kind of talking about there, visually quite stunning. so with the MLM Two Pro, we always always had standard courses. those are a bit more like kind of the original version of Garmin's Home T hero in that the graphics quality is a little bit more like what I would call cartoonish. not quite as as as vivid or and certainly not as detail oriented. and so the the s the the distances of the holes, the shapes of the holes, the sizes and shapes of the green complexes, those kinds of things are are accurate in the standard courses, but it's all of the the surrounding detail that just isn't it's just it ain't all that. They did enhance it a bit with this kind of relaunch, but To me, they're still just that. They're they're relatively standard. That isn't to say that they're not useful. there's thirty thousand plus of them. So you you know, good chance that the course that you play every day is on there and that's cool to be able to pull up your home course and play it, or if you were getting ready for a a trip and you wanted to preview a course you were going to be playing, that's cool as well. or if you didn't want to pay for the upgraded membership and you were satisfied. paying just the core membership. We're gonna get into the memberships in a second. There's cost saving opportunity that still allows you to play sim golf, or if you didn't have a gaming PC and you want to play these courses on your mobile device, your phone, you have that option. So that's all good. But the studios courses are really the showstopper here. Right now there's about 30 of them. There are some big names included. You got Things like Quail Hollow, Sweeten's Cove, Tobacco Road, gosh, Paynes Valley, I know is in there, kind of going off memory here. Should have made a few more notes. But visually, very, very stunning, very engaging. And personally, I put them just short of maybe the standard of the new Forsyth's new premiere SIM software. That's very subjective. you know, aesthetics of of of sim golf courses is that's subjective or or subjective, I should say. And and so somebody may see it differently. I don't have them quite on that same level, but I do think that they're right there. I mean, it's impressive. and like you said, to now have access to this for a sub thousand dollar device, it's awesome. It's awesome. Well, any other comments there, Daniel, before we before we keep trucking here? Yeah, I mean think even like, you know, you compare this product to some other products maybe that are close to it. So like immediately I think of like Flight Scope Mevo Gen two and and the Square Launch Monitor, maybe if you're indoor only, but you look at what comes now in the native software options and it's really tough to kind of win an argument outside of this new MLM two X Pro, like I'm not sure if you tested any of the driving range combines and games and stuff, but it's like they have constantly different ways that you can practice and play and entertain yourself. So kind of found myself losing track of time just because there were so many different things to kind of do with it. And I was I was just testing it with the mobile phone software on you know when I've had it this last week. So overall really impressed, like we've said, with the software that they've released now. I mean If you think about how many things that they've pushed out in the last week, it's been a whole overhaul of of everything that they had. So it's it's really impressive to see them roll all this out at the same time. And honestly, everything's functional. Like everything that I tested has been public release and everything from the connection process to playing and hitting shots and playing rounds of golf, it's really impressive. The one thing I will say that I know that we didn't cover just talking about it, but if you are in the PC section, it's USB C connection to the computer, right? There's no wireless connection option. whereas with the mobile p with the mobile devices you can connect wirelessly just like you could before with the Rap Soto MLM two pro. but just important that if you're going PC route, you might need a longer cable than what's supplied with the device just to make your connection. Yeah, they give you a pretty short cable, by the way. I found I had a kind of reposition my laptop to have it kinda right next to the right next to the device itself, but great point. and and I love that you brought up again all of the different practice features. I specifically loved the the target feature that they have where you've got like eighty-six different greens that you can choose from of all kinds of different distances. There's like eight or nine different fairway targets. another kind of cool, subtle point to that is they have all of that practice and those tar in those target ranges measured with strokes gained. and so you input your handicap. or a range of handicap and then it's going to kind of continuously grade you on on how you're doing relative to your benchmark. which is which is pretty cool and and pretty pretty useful information. ball physics also I found to be impressive in the sim play and in the practice. I mean the you know, the ball spins in after it lands the way you would expect the shot to. Rollout seams and you can adjust firmness. Of course you can adjust different parameters like your sea level and and wind and all of those sorts of things that are gonna affect all of that. But found all of that to be to be really spot on, actually, quite impressive. so maybe the biggest piece of news, not to bury it, but putting. So now we've got putting with with the an MLM series from Rhapsoto. That was not something available with the MLM two pro. It is not going to be available with the MLM two pro. That is something that you would need the new MLM two X Pro to enjoy. and I gotta say, in testing it in the simplay, I found it to be very impressive. if I intentionally pushed the putt, the ball started off to the right, pulled it, started off to the to the left. God forbid I should start one online, it went online. You know, speed seemed to be spot on accurate. and I have to say, overall, I thought this was a a strong addition for Rap Soto. I I absolutely respect that putting for a sim golfer is still, at least in my opinion, the least realistic part of the of the experience. But this this part of the experience for Rhapsoto at least is Just as good as what you're gonna get with anything else, and now you have it. So if you want to play a complete round and and putt out and you you now have that option. you do also still have the option to set auto putting if you want to, and you can choose your gimme circle of of varying sizes. you can set your your stint meter at various speeds, and it's just a it's an all-around win. I mean, Daniel, I know that. as somebody that even plays sim golf competitively, putting can be a frustration if you're in a tournament or an event that that forces it. but it's still, would you agree, a nice a nice option to have? Yeah, I think it's a nice option. The key is that it needs to be functional and consistent. You know, if it it it doesn't need to be exactly like real putting, but if it reacts consistently and if it function each time you hit the putt. You can get used to it and you can it you can find joy or enjoyment out of it. you know, I think the one thing to to keep in mind with with a product like MLM two X Pro, we've we've gotten this question already a lot. It's, you know, how far does the ball need to travel where it picks up the putt? I know you have a five by five hitting mat, Mark. So were you able to get putting to work pretty well even on your five by five hitting mat? I actually was shocked by the capture rate. That was one thing I thought On the short putts, I thought, and I did test this, just just try to hit a little, a little three foot putt and see if in fact it picks it up and if it reads that distance w what feels like accurately or realistically. And I have to say I was really surprised. This also goes back to capture rate that is, including full shot to I really love how in the in the app you get a a visual box that pops up and shows you an actual the live camera view of of your hidden area and shows you your the box and then the box within the box for full swing for club data. And so you know precisely if you have the ball placed correctly. Furthermore, on the device itself you get a green light when the ball is in position to for the device to to capture it. So I really I think that that aids the the impressive capture rate that we're seeing is because to start with, you're not hitting the shot until you know the ball is in there. And it makes it very easy to do that. The box pops up visually, you put the ball in the box, then the box disappears from the screen. You hit your shot and bang, it captures. Capture rate, including putting, was one of the biggest, the biggest wins, I would say, overall. And so again, yes, even on short putts, found it to be impressive actually. Yeah, and I think that's important to note too, because there's competitive products and even, higher end products that are similar. They sit behind you and maybe they they need to see a certain length of putt before they capture. And even a couple feet before it drops off of a hitting mat, some of those other products they struggle just to even capture, you know, twenty, thirty foot putts if the putt isn't flat all the way to the screen. So I was curious on your testing with that because you have that setup that we sell a lot of our Play Better Sim studios with or similar to it, with that size hitting mat. So I think that's important to note too that even finesse putting or even long putts off of just a standard five by five hitting mat are functioning really well, which is great to see because usually when when new products come out, the first place they struggle is short game chipping and putting. So to see this device excelling right out of the block. Is is pretty impressive and it's an it's a nod of the cap almost to the Rap Soto team for for having it be functional so well so early. I'm glad you bring up short chips as well. now on the tiniest little chip shots. I tried to test little, little itty bitty touch chip shots, and occasionally I would get a no read. probably really the only scenario where I was encountering that at all throughout all of the testing. But overall, the short chips, the capture rate there was was another strength. And that was something that I noted as something of a weakness with the original MLM2 Pro. So there does seem to have been some improvement made there. So yeah, a lot to be excited about. now they also kind of updated their mobile app. and to me this this part of the of the experience was a little bit more of a refresh rather than a a major breakthrough. But that's not to say that it's it's not an improvement. And hey, we'll take any improvement we can get. they do have some new features in there, and I think overall it is an improvement. full disclosure, when I was testing, I was still using the beta version of their mobile app. And I did encounter some some drop connection issues and a couple of other little bugs that I gave feedback to the Rap Soto team and they acknowledged that these there were still things that they were ironing out and smoothing out and full confidence that those things in fact have been or will be smoothed out. And I think Daniel, you maybe have tested with the fully released version. So maybe you could confirm if you had any connection issues or or if it went smoothly for you on the mobile app. Yeah. So the only connection problem I had, and we've we've had a few customers that have had this too. That's the only reason I bring this up, is originally I had the wrong app downloaded. So I there is a I I had the old MLM two and it was just by mistake I clicked on the wrong one. so you have to make sure that you're using the new Rap Soto Golf app. but honestly it was it was so fast. I had I had powered on the L two X Pro and in the top right corner there's like a device button that has a plus symbol. You push it once and it walks you through a connection. You can choose to connect it through your local Wi Fi or just to the direct device itself. And it it was less than twenty to thirty seconds. I mean b both just testing it here at my desk before I went to the location to test it in person and then setting it up and everything. I mean it was it was very impressively fast. So very user friendly and simplistic. Everything that you would want out of out of a you know consumer launch monitor, I feel like. Yeah, I think I I think Rhapsodos really nailing it here in terms of ease of setup and now they've made it only easier. You got that adjustable tripod leg. You have the built-in display that includes the alignment guide right on the device, quick, reliable, steady connection. just makes for a simple product, a simple process. And believe it or not, that's a big part of of the the overall experience. People don't want to be choking their brains out when they want to play some sim golf or or hit some shots for practice or try to get some numbers pre-round. and so another thing too is with the detachable tripod legs. In the really sleek carrying case, it's very, very portable. You legitimately could slide this into the garment pocket of your golf bag. It's not terribly heavy. So all great things that make it portable. We should have noted earlier too that easily read shots hit off of natural turf, another nice win for it that other devices have struggled with. and so lot to be excited about, gotta say. now the memberships. you've got if you did not pay for a membership at all, you could use your MLM 2X Pro as a pretty basic ball data only launch monitor. you wouldn't get most of the features that I think people are most likely going to be interested in. so you've got to pay up to the core membership for $199.99 a year. That's gonna give you every metric. So you get your spin, you get your club data, you get all of the practice modes, you get swing video, which is a sweet feature. You get impact vision, which is a slow motion close-up of the club contacting the ball, another kind of cool feature. You get the 30,000 plus standard courses on mobile and PC, and you get up to two profiles. now if you pay up to the studios membership, that's gonna cost you $399.99 a year. you get everything in core, plus you get those studios courses that we talked about, those premium graphically enhanced, beautiful sim golf courses that I would expect they'll add to the library that right now is sitting at about 30. So and then you you get on-course practice, which is another really cool feature. you can I use this quite a lot. I played around with this quite a lot. I really enjoy any of these softwares that allow you to drop the ball down on any hole anywhere and and just hit shots from from any place as many as you want to. Another cool thing about that is when you're practicing on course, you've got this dispersion map that you can pop up and it'll show you all of those shots that you've hit from from there. so you can just like you would kind of get on a driving range, a virtual driving range. and then it's color coded. Your last shot is is color coded, I want to say in blue, so so you know which one was your most recent. I really liked that. I really like that feature a lot. anyways, that all is hidden behind that studio's membership. also with the studio's membership you get up to four profiles. now RapSoto's RapSoto is doing away with their lifetime membership for new buyers. There is a transfer option for existing MLM2 Pro users. and you also have the option to to kind of add studios to that lifetime membership. But but new buyers no longer get a lifetime option. You're gonna be paying yearly either $199 a year or $399 a year. And so obviously something to factor in. You know it's just the it's just the reality for most of the brands that we deal with and it's one of the things that makes a brand like Flight Scope. or a brand like Square have a have a nice kind of competitive advantage or it's kind of their calling card compared to some of these other options. I think that most users who buy an MLM 2X Pro are inevitably going to most likely want to add one of those membership tiers. Daniel, your thoughts on that? Yeah I think a hundred percent you know I think if you're looking for really good piece of hardware under a thousand dollars And the ability to maybe even grow it as you go software wise, this is a really, really good candidate for that too. So yeah, I I it it's gonna be obviously if if you want no subscriptions, this might not be the product for you. there's not a lifetime option anymore. So that's something that that may tip the scales in the favor of another product whereas before we had that lifetime thing to kind of lean back on as an option. So times are changing and subscriptions are the new normal. Then fortunately with simulator golf, it just feels that way. Yeah. Yeah. Well let's let's get out of here with with who should buy this thing. you you you kind of hit on a a few of the points just right now, but but go ahead and and elaborate on that. Who do you see this as a fit for, Daniel? Yeah, I think, when we see inquiries come in and people are are looking for specifically a launch monitor under a thousand dollars and they have the space indoors to use it, this is a home run hit in my opinion anymore. you know, the upgraded features that they've added to it and now these software options that come with it, it really is an impressive and and it feels like a premium buy. You know, it doesn't feel I think it is a premium buy, you know, under that thousand dollar price point now. So yeah, I think if people are looking for that first home golf simulator and they really want to to have great value with with a little bit of a subscription to it, then this is a great option. And we've already had customers that have inquired and purchased and are are starting to get these installed in their homes. So it's it's been already a very successful product, and I think it's gonna continue to grow as more reviews and more information gets out there on it. Great summary. Couldn't agree more. and reminder to everybody if you do have more questions, that's exactly what Daniel does. hit him up, hit our our our team of experts up. Also go to playbetter.com and use the Golf Simulator Advisor tool that's at the top left hand page, excuse me, the top left hand corner of the homepage. very, very useful tool that's going to ask you kind of questions about your own specific space, budget. use cases and that's gonna end up at Daniel's desk and and he'll come back to you with some recommendations. reminder to everybody that Playbetter sells all of these launch monitors. So this is very much a no pressure situation. we do not care if you buy the MLM two X Pro legitimately. we saw the competing options as well. So he's simply there to try to help you make your best decision. So Please keep that in mind. And while you are there at playbetter.com, a reminder to use code GTW for the best pricing on qualifying products. Daniel, this has been a fun one. I like what you said at the outset. I think with the MLM2 Pro, we had an exceptional launch monitor for under $1,000, but it did include a couple of holes. And I think now with the MLM2X Pro, some of those holes have been filled, and we now have an even more complete. Best launch monitor under a thousand dollars. So a win overall, something for everyone to check out and consider. And thank you everybody for tuning in. Please catch us next week for another episode of Golf Tech Week.
