- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman would be the perfect governor for New York.
- 0:09Speaker 2: We're all hoping and praying that he wins. Now, it's
- 0:11Speaker 2: not too late to help his campaign. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com, donate, volunteer,
- 0:17Speaker 2: whatever you can do. BlakemanForNewYork.com. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing?
- 0:24Speaker 1: Mark, it's always a pleasure to be with you. I'm
- 0:26Speaker 1: doing great.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Hey, let me ask you this first. Kathy Hochul has
- 0:31Speaker 2: been spending millions of dollars on attack ads against you.
- 0:34Speaker 2: She's running them 24-7. That usually indicates panic on her part.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Has she looked at the internal polling? Is that why
- 0:41Speaker 2: she's doing this?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Well, according to my friends in the Democratic Party, her
- 0:46Speaker 1: hair is on fire because we're in a virtual dead heat.
- 0:50Speaker 1: She never expected to be in that position. She wants
- 0:53Speaker 1: to talk about everything but her record because it's a
- 0:56Speaker 1: record of misery and failure. Think about it. The highest
- 0:59Speaker 1: taxed state in America. Utility bill 70% higher than the
- 1:03Speaker 1: national average. And she's the most pro-criminal governor in the
- 1:06Speaker 1: United States of America. Mark, she doesn't want to talk
- 1:09Speaker 1: about her record because she's made everybody miserable. Yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Hey, to do these attack ads, they had to do
- 1:14Speaker 2: all kinds of opposition research on you. And apparently the
- 1:18Speaker 2: only thing they found is your friends with Donald Trump.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It's quite a compliment that that's all they came up with.
- 1:25Speaker 1: It's absolutely hysterical because... All she says is Trump, Trump, Trump, MAGA, MAGA, MAGA. Look,
- 1:33Speaker 1: Donald Trump's a friend of mine. But if there's anything
- 1:37Speaker 1: about me that I've demonstrated throughout the years is that
- 1:41Speaker 1: I make my own decisions. I don't take orders from anybody.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I work for you, the taxpayers. That's who I'm beholden to.
- 1:48Speaker 1: So she can say whatever she wants. But the fact
- 1:51Speaker 1: of the matter is I have a record of cutting taxes. U.S.
- 1:54Speaker 1: News and World Report said we have the safest county
- 1:56Speaker 1: in America. And Kathy Hochul doesn't talk about her record
- 2:00Speaker 1: because it's one of failure.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, the fact that you're friends with Donald Trump,
- 2:04Speaker 2: the fact that he likes you, wouldn't that mean you
- 2:06Speaker 2: could get more done for New York, more money, more whatever,
- 2:09Speaker 2: than she can?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Well, I'm sure it does. And it's always good, whether
- 2:15Speaker 1: it's a Republican president or a Democratic president, when the
- 2:18Speaker 1: president returns your call and listens to you. So I
- 2:23Speaker 1: plan to use my relationship with the president to get
- 2:28Speaker 1: more for New York, to get our fair share, and
- 2:31Speaker 1: to make sure that we restore our economy here in
- 2:34Speaker 1: New York. Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost
- 2:37Speaker 1: in the last year. Hundreds of thousands of people are leaving.
- 2:42Speaker 1: It's just a death spiral right now, Mark, and we've
- 2:46Speaker 1: got to pull out of that death spiral. And I
- 2:48Speaker 1: can assure you, I'm the pilot that can pull us
- 2:51Speaker 1: out of that death spiral.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Well, you've done it for Nassau County. You're considered the
- 2:55Speaker 2: best county executive in America. That's basically the same job
- 2:58Speaker 2: as governor. Hey, the president's schedule has him in Syracuse
- 3:03Speaker 2: later today. Are you going to Syracuse?
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm on my way to the airport right now.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Oh, okay. So that'll be good. So you're going to
- 3:11Speaker 2: campaign with him?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we're going to have a rally in Syracuse. The
- 3:18Speaker 1: people in upstate New York are very excited. They rarely
- 3:22Speaker 1: get a visit from the president of the United States,
- 3:24Speaker 1: so this is very special to them. And you know, Mark,
- 3:28Speaker 1: Kathy Hochul likes to portray me as this right-wing extremist.
- 3:33Speaker 1: You know, I've been endorsed by liberal Democrats because they
- 3:37Speaker 1: know I'm a common-sense person, that I'm a reasonable person.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I mean, Deborah Messing is a Democrat, liberal. She's an actress.
- 3:47Speaker 1: She never supports Republicans. She endorsed me. Bonnie Lautenberg, the
- 3:51Speaker 1: widow of Senator Frank Lautenberg. Frank Lautenberg was... a pillar
- 3:55Speaker 1: of the Democratic Party in the United States Senate. His widow,
- 4:00Speaker 1: a Democrat, a liberal, is endorsing me for governor because
- 4:04Speaker 1: their party is not liberal anymore. It's insane. They want
- 4:09Speaker 1: to become a socialist, anti-Semite, anti-Christian, anti-American party. And my
- 4:16Speaker 1: election will actually help the Democratic Party because it'll be
- 4:19Speaker 1: the beginning of the end of the DSA.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yeah, good point. Hey, Tuesday night is the debate. Kathy
- 4:24Speaker 2: Hochul has turned down all the real TV stations. She's
- 4:28Speaker 2: only agreed to New York One. So what do you
- 4:31Speaker 2: think will happen Tuesday night?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Well, I'm very happy to talk about my record. I'm
- 4:37Speaker 1: sure she's not going to talk about her record. And
- 4:40Speaker 1: I think we'll have some fun. I think it will
- 4:41Speaker 1: be instructive to people who watch or listen. They'll get
- 4:46Speaker 1: to know more about me. They'll get to know more
- 4:48Speaker 1: about her record. which many of them already know because
- 4:52Speaker 1: they tell me they're miserable under Kathy Hochul. So it's
- 4:56Speaker 1: a good opportunity. Hopefully it will be about the issues
- 4:59Speaker 1: affecting New Yorkers, state issues. Kathy Hochul will try and
- 5:02Speaker 1: make it into a food fight. That's not my intention.
- 5:07Speaker 1: My intention is to talk issues. Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Now it's New York one, very few viewers. The other
- 5:12Speaker 2: problem is it's the most liberal biased Errol Lewis and
- 5:15Speaker 2: very nice guy, but very, very left wing. He's going
- 5:18Speaker 2: to run the debate. That's not a problem. That doesn't
- 5:20Speaker 2: bother you, does it? You can handle that.
- 5:22Speaker 1: It doesn't bother me at all. And probably by the
- 5:24Speaker 1: end of the debate, Errol will be voting for me
- 5:26Speaker 1: as well.
- 5:29Speaker 2: That could be. Hey, the ICE incident yesterday in New York, Mamdani, Tish,
- 5:36Speaker 2: not Tish, Letitia James, all grandstanding like crazy. What do
- 5:42Speaker 2: you think will happen with this? It looks like the
- 5:44Speaker 2: body cam footage will be released.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Well, first of all, I think the question has to
- 5:50Speaker 1: be asked, what was this guy doing in New York?
- 5:53Speaker 1: This is a guy who's a convicted felon. He's an
- 5:56Speaker 1: illegal migrant. He's being charged with drug dealing right now.
- 6:03Speaker 1: He's got another charge for drug dealing and he's got
- 6:06Speaker 1: alleged associations with gangs. And he's an illegal migrant. What
- 6:11Speaker 1: is he doing in New York? Kathy Hochul's caused this
- 6:14Speaker 1: problem by creating us by creating a sanctuary state, which
- 6:18Speaker 1: is like a magnet to steel for every illegal migrant
- 6:21Speaker 1: with a criminal record because Kathy Hochul won't let local
- 6:24Speaker 1: law enforcement cooperate with ICE. If NYPD was cooperating with ICE,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I guarantee you this probably would never have happened.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, but explain, in Nassau County, you've had no
- 6:37Speaker 2: problems because you made sure that the local police cooperated
- 6:41Speaker 2: with ICE, right?
- 6:43Speaker 1: We got out. illegal migrants with criminal records ranging from murder,
- 6:48Speaker 1: attempted murder, rape, robbery, burglary, drug dealing, and gang activity.
- 6:53Speaker 1: We removed them without raiding a school, without raiding a
- 6:56Speaker 1: daycare center, without raiding a hospital, without raiding a church.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It was all smooth and organized and safe. And then
- 7:05Speaker 1: Kathy Hochul said, we can't cooperate with ICE anymore. And
- 7:10Speaker 1: a 14-year-old girl in Nassau County was raped. By an
- 7:14Speaker 1: illegal migrant. Kathy Hochul, you have blood on your hands.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That is something that should never be tolerated. And yet
- 7:24Speaker 1: you allow these people to remain in our state. Shame
- 7:26Speaker 1: on you.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Hey, Bruce Blakeman, you were like 20 points behind now
- 7:30Speaker 2: in the latest polling. I'm talking about the real polls,
- 7:32Speaker 2: not the public ones, the real polls. You're neck and neck.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You're both within the margin of error. But in this
- 7:38Speaker 2: other polling, apparently you have the big majority with independents.
- 7:42Speaker 2: What does that mean? Isn't that the key to winning independents?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah, listen, I've consistently had a majority of independent men
- 7:51Speaker 1: and women supporting me. You can't believe these woke university polls,
- 7:56Speaker 1: many of which are funded by the state. And who
- 7:59Speaker 1: controls the state? Kathy Hochul. So you can't believe them.
- 8:03Speaker 1: We've seen a number of polls that show we're in
- 8:07Speaker 1: a statistical dead heat. So I am very confident that
- 8:12Speaker 1: if everybody gets out to vote and everybody does their part,
- 8:16Speaker 1: that I will be the next governor of the state
- 8:17Speaker 1: of New York.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Okay, but I hope you will. We really hope so.
- 8:22Speaker 2: When they say a Republican can never win, didn't they
- 8:25Speaker 2: say that to you in Nassau County too?
- 8:28Speaker 1: They did. And here's the thing. Every day, another Democrat
- 8:32Speaker 1: comes up to me and says, Bruce, I'm a lifelong Democrat.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I've never voted for Republicans in my life. I'm voting
- 8:38Speaker 1: for you this year. Because people are fed up, number one.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Number two, people say, well, how can a Republican win
- 8:47Speaker 1: in a blue state? And I reply, how can Kathy
- 8:51Speaker 1: Hochul win when her unfavorables are anywhere between 50% to 60%
- 8:56Speaker 1: of the people think that she's doing a terrible job
- 9:00Speaker 1: and don't like her? So I believe those people are
- 9:03Speaker 1: going to come out on Election Day and vote for
- 9:06Speaker 1: me because they're fed up with her.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Is it really a blue state if you go north
- 9:10Speaker 2: of New York City? How blue is it?
- 9:13Speaker 1: It ain't very blue north of Westchester, I can tell
- 9:16Speaker 1: you that. But listen, even in the blue parts, you know,
- 9:21Speaker 1: Erie County is a blue county. The last poll that
- 9:24Speaker 1: was done up there, I didn't do the poll. It's
- 9:26Speaker 1: not my poll. The last poll that was done, 45 Blakeman,
- 9:31Speaker 1: 45 Hochul. Okay? That's Kathy Hochul's hometown, Buffalo. We're dead even.
- 9:38Speaker 1: We're 10% undecided. The undecided generally break against the incumbent.
- 9:42Speaker 1: We're going to win Erie County. We're going to beat
- 9:44Speaker 1: her in Buffalo, her hometown. She's booed at Buffalo Bill games.
- 9:49Speaker 2: All right, Bruce Blakeman. Now, what do you want people
- 9:52Speaker 2: to do? Your website is BlakemanForNewYork.com. But what would you
- 9:56Speaker 2: like people listening to do for you right now?
- 9:57Speaker 1: Donate, donate, donate. Give us a donation, whatever you can afford.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It's expensive to stay on TV, social media, radio, and
- 10:05Speaker 1: all the other outlets. Donate to the campaign, BlakemanForNewYork.com, BlakemanForNewYork.com.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Get a lawn sign, put it up. Also, make a
- 10:15Speaker 1: list of people. Make sure they get out to vote.
- 10:18Speaker 1: The reason why Mondami's mayor is a lot of good
- 10:20Speaker 1: people didn't vote in New York City. He didn't have
- 10:23Speaker 1: a big victory. There was low turnout. Get out to vote.
- 10:26Speaker 2: All right. Very important. It's the website is Blakeman for
- 10:29Speaker 2: New York dot com. Blakeman for New York dot com.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I will be watching later today in Syracuse. Big, big
- 10:35Speaker 2: events coming up for you today. Bruce Blakeman, good luck.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Thanks for being with us.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Well, God bless you and thank you, Mark. You're a
- 10:42Speaker 1: good friend.
- 10:43Speaker 2: All right. Take care. Yeah, everybody help out. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com.
- 10:48Speaker 2: It's neck and neck in the real polls. That's where
- 10:51Speaker 2: you need to turn out. You need to donate. You
- 10:54Speaker 2: need to do all that stuff. Hey, coming up at
- 10:56Speaker 2: noon today, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. They do a
- 11:00Speaker 2: great show every day at 12 noon. 3 o'clock, you
- 11:02Speaker 2: got the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 11:06Speaker 2: You got Jesse Kelly at 6. The very funny Jimmy Fallon,
- 11:10Speaker 2: 9 o'clock. I'm here three hours now, three hours every day,

- 11:22Speaker 2: all here on 710WOR.
