- 0:00Speaker 1: This is The Mark Simone Show on 710WOR.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hey, it's almost Friday. It's Thursday. Almost Friday. A lot
- 0:10Speaker 2: to get to today. There's going to be a lot
- 0:13Speaker 2: of trouble in Alaska. People are going to go to jail.
- 0:16Speaker 2: We'll get to Bruce Blakeman and Kathy Hochul. We'll get
- 0:20Speaker 2: to the Ukraine. We've got a lot to cover today.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We'll get to congestion pricing and a whole lot more.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Don't forget, this weekend... A lot of stuff is happening.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Saturday night is Halloween. We have that going on. Then Saturday,
- 0:36Speaker 2: 2 a.m., we go off daylight saving time. So at
- 0:41Speaker 2: 2 a.m., it'll become 1 a.m. You get an extra
- 0:44Speaker 2: hour of sleep Saturday night. And then Sunday morning, you'll
- 0:47Speaker 2: wake up to the Marathon, which will cause traffic problems
- 0:52Speaker 2: all over New York City, every borough. So Sunday, don't
- 0:55Speaker 2: even think of driving into New York City. If you're
- 0:58Speaker 2: thinking of coming in, remember the Marathon. will be going
- 1:00Speaker 2: on all over the place, and that, of course, a
- 1:03Speaker 2: lot of security. Police Commissioner Tisch.
- 1:06Speaker 3: As for the logistics on Sunday, spectators entering designated marathon
- 1:10Speaker 3: viewing areas in Central Park should know that bags are
- 1:14Speaker 3: subject to inspection. Prohibited items include coolers, oversized bags, chairs, umbrellas, and,
- 1:21Speaker 3: of course, all weapons. Additionally, the use of drones is prohibited,
- 1:25Speaker 3: given the complex threat environment.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Now, you know, they do this. No umbrellas. You're not
- 1:31Speaker 2: allowed to bring an umbrella. But if it rains, if
- 1:36Speaker 2: it's raining, you've got to stand out there without an umbrella.
- 1:38Speaker 2: The forecast is for no rain. The forecast is for nice, clear,
- 1:41Speaker 2: dry skies for the next four or five days. So
- 1:44Speaker 2: the marathon will be on Sunday. And don't forget, it's
- 1:46Speaker 2: going to get dark at 5 o'clock, maybe even a
- 1:49Speaker 2: few minutes earlier. So these are the last couple days
- 1:53Speaker 2: of staying light out until 6 o'clock. Hey, in Alaska...
- 1:57Speaker 2: This is one of the dirtiest political tricks you can do.
- 2:00Speaker 2: It's been done before, but this is on a big scale.
- 2:04Speaker 2: And this is going to end up with prosecutions. People
- 2:07Speaker 2: most likely will go to jail over this. The Democrat
- 2:11Speaker 2: candidate in Alaska, Mary Peltola, is running against a guy
- 2:16Speaker 2: named Dan Sullivan. He's the Republican candidate, Dan Sullivan. So
- 2:22Speaker 2: what they did It's a common name. They went out
- 2:25Speaker 2: and found a couple of other Dan Sullivans, not politicians.
- 2:29Speaker 2: One's a teacher, one's a plumber, one's a this, one's a...
- 2:33Speaker 2: And they somehow got them on the ballot. So when
- 2:37Speaker 2: you go to vote, there's Mary Peltola and there's a
- 2:43Speaker 2: bunch of Dan Sullivans. So Republicans going to vote for
- 2:47Speaker 2: Dan Sullivan might hit this one, they might hit that one,
- 2:50Speaker 2: they could hit this one. That would end up splitting
- 2:52Speaker 2: the vote up on the Republican side, making it easier,
- 2:56Speaker 2: much easier for the Democrat to win. It's fraud. Legal
- 3:02Speaker 2: scholars have looked at this. It is absolutely fraud. President
- 3:06Speaker 2: Trump is going to go after Peltola and everybody on
- 3:11Speaker 2: the campaign that was involved in it. Now, they denied
- 3:13Speaker 2: having anything to do with this other Dan Sullivan. They
- 3:16Speaker 2: kept denying and denying and denying. The New York Times
- 3:20Speaker 2: has come out with a massive expose with documents, with proof,
- 3:25Speaker 2: with phone calls, with texts proving they were behind it,
- 3:29Speaker 2: proving her staff took great pains and made a great
- 3:33Speaker 2: effort to make this happen. It's absolutely proven in the
- 3:37Speaker 2: New York Times article. How'd they get all this information? Well,
- 3:41Speaker 2: the Paltola campaign got into fights with them, and they
- 3:44Speaker 2: ended up firing a campaign manager. They fired her. So
- 3:49Speaker 2: she took all this stuff and went to the New
- 3:51Speaker 2: York Times and gave it to them. So they are
- 3:54Speaker 2: all caught. Now, definitely the campaign staff that did this,
- 3:58Speaker 2: they're going to get prosecuted.
- 4:00Speaker 4: U.S.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Attorney will come after them. The Alaska state governor is
- 4:04Speaker 2: now talking about opening up an investigation into them. This
- 4:09Speaker 2: is out and out voter fraud. And if they're convicted,
- 4:13Speaker 2: these people most likely will go to prison for this. Again,
- 4:16Speaker 2: top legal scholars have looked at it, said it's absolutely,
- 4:20Speaker 2: absolutely fraud, President Trump.
- 4:22Speaker 4: They said they didn't do it and we caught them cold.
- 4:25Speaker 4: And Mary Peltola should resign from the race. I think
- 4:30Speaker 4: she should be prosecuted criminally for what she did.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the Justice Department has gone ahead with it.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Alaska locals are going to prosecute.
- 4:37Speaker 5: So that's a fraud. It's a fraud to the public.
- 4:40Speaker 4: And they had a Dan Sullivan running against Senator Dan Sullivan.
- 4:45Speaker 4: And they didn't put Senator in front. She had two
- 4:47Speaker 4: Dan Sullivans. The people aren't going to be able to tell.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's out and out fraud. She is denying any
- 4:54Speaker 2: knowledge of it. It's slightly possible that when they did this,
- 4:58Speaker 2: the campaign guys did this, they deliberately... She obviously knew
- 5:02Speaker 2: something was going on, but sometimes in a campaign they'll say,
- 5:05Speaker 2: we're taking care of it. We can't let you know
- 5:07Speaker 2: the details, but we're taking care. So it could have
- 5:09Speaker 2: been something like that, possibly. But most likely she was involved.
- 5:12Speaker 2: This is her.
- 5:14Speaker 6: I have every confidence that Alaskan voters know what they're doing.
- 5:18Speaker 6: And I believe in the rule of law and free
- 5:21Speaker 6: and fair elections. And I have all the faith that
- 5:24Speaker 6: this is going to get sorted out in the right way.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, which means she'll get prosecuted. a good chance of
- 5:30Speaker 2: going to prison, and that's how it'll get sorted out. Now,
- 5:35Speaker 2: if she wins and they'll look at the Dan Sullivan votes,
- 5:39Speaker 2: if they were split up enough to cause a Dan
- 5:42Speaker 2: Sullivan loss, they'll most likely void the whole election. The
- 5:46Speaker 2: other problem in Alaska, it's the stupid ranked choice voting,
- 5:51Speaker 2: which would make the whole thing even more confusing. So
- 5:55Speaker 2: expect some serious legal action in this case. President Trump
- 6:00Speaker 2: every day flying to another state, another city, another town,
- 6:04Speaker 2: running around the country doing these rallies. Today, he's going
- 6:07Speaker 2: to do a couple, but there'll be Zoom, tele-rallies. Not
- 6:11Speaker 2: actually Zoom, but high-quality, high-def television rallies. The reason he's
- 6:16Speaker 2: not going in person, he's going to stay in the
- 6:19Speaker 2: White House. Tonight is the big Halloween stuff at the
- 6:22Speaker 2: White House for kids and families. That's a big, big
- 6:26Speaker 2: thing going on tonight. A election is five days away.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Five days away. Hard to believe, just five days away.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Now they're pushing these fake polls, these college polls, these
- 6:39Speaker 2: media polls that are totally rigged. The Republicans, they brought
- 6:43Speaker 2: it down to 20% of the sample. 80% of the
- 6:47Speaker 2: sample are Democrats. They don't use voters. They don't use
- 6:50Speaker 2: the right demos. They totally rigged the polls to get
- 6:53Speaker 2: these results. Bruce Blakeman and Kathy Hochul, the candidates, pay
- 6:57Speaker 2: a fortune for real polling, the real polls. The real
- 7:02Speaker 2: polls have them both pretty much tied within the margin
- 7:05Speaker 2: of error. And that's why you've seen Hochul go into
- 7:09Speaker 2: total panic in the last week or two, running millions
- 7:13Speaker 2: and millions and millions of dollars of attack ads against Blakeman.
- 7:19Speaker 2: And then she got a lot of criticism. Well, first
- 7:22Speaker 2: of all, The attack ads, they couldn't find anything to
- 7:24Speaker 2: really attack Blakeman on except that he's friends with Donald Trump.
- 7:27Speaker 2: That's about all they came up with. And then they
- 7:30Speaker 2: doctored up some things where he wants to get rid
- 7:32Speaker 2: of your Medicare and the things that weren't true. And
- 7:35Speaker 2: then she got a lot of flack for not having
- 7:37Speaker 2: any positive ads. What about your accomplishments? Well, she came
- 7:42Speaker 2: out with positive ads for her accomplishment. The only accomplishment
- 7:44Speaker 2: you see in the ad, something she did to help
- 7:47Speaker 2: the menu in the school lunches. That was it. So
- 7:52Speaker 2: Blakeman is, you know, he's fighting these fake polls. They're
- 7:55Speaker 2: called suppression polls. They put them out to make it
- 7:59Speaker 2: look like it's hopeless so that Republicans don't bother to
- 8:02Speaker 2: come out and vote. And by the way, early voting
- 8:06Speaker 2: is going crazy, especially here in New York. It's up
- 8:11Speaker 2: 40 percent from last time. So huge numbers are coming
- 8:16Speaker 2: out early voting. Now, the thing is, that's most likely
- 8:18Speaker 2: Democrats voting. It's Democrats that mostly do the early voting. Republicans,
- 8:24Speaker 2: whatever reason, they always wait till election day. So change that.
- 8:28Speaker 2: There's heavy Democrat turnout. So if you want Blakeman to win,
- 8:32Speaker 2: it's very important for New York. Get out there and
- 8:34Speaker 2: vote now. Today, tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, do the early voting.
- 8:40Speaker 2: You'll be glad you did because you won't wait in line.
- 8:42Speaker 2: It's real easy. You just sail right through. Bruce Blakeman
- 8:46Speaker 2: on the polls.
- 8:46Speaker 7: The dirty tricks have started already. We knew it was common.
- 8:50Speaker 7: They want to suppress all of our voters. So they
- 8:53Speaker 7: talk about polls from woke universities that say we're behind.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, and it's an amazing whole system they've put together.
- 9:05Speaker 2: They put out the fake poll. The New York Times
- 9:07Speaker 2: will quote it. You could even be watching TV and
- 9:10Speaker 2: watching that Robert Moses, that very left wing slanted reporter
- 9:14Speaker 2: on Channel 5. And he said, this poll shows definitely
- 9:17Speaker 2: 15 points. He's never looked at the metrics in the poll,
- 9:22Speaker 2: never saw that it was a poll of mostly Democrats.
- 9:25Speaker 2: They forgot to put Republicans in the sample. You can
- 9:28Speaker 2: see that when you look in the metrics, what they
- 9:30Speaker 2: call the crosstabs.
- 9:31Speaker 7: We can win this thing if people get out to vote.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Because remember, if good people don't vote, you get bad laws.
- 9:39Speaker 7: And that's what we've got in this state.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah, get out and vote. That's the whole key. If
- 9:43Speaker 2: you're saying to yourself, how did Mamdani get it? Because
- 9:45Speaker 2: only about 4% of New York showed up to vote.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Everybody get out there and vote. Kathy Hochul responds on this.
- 9:52Speaker 8: That's a novel approach to how.
- 9:55Speaker 9: You read polls since we've had polls in this country
- 9:58Speaker 9: since about 1822. And I never heard them being defined
- 10:03Speaker 9: as something that's intended to suppress people getting out to vote.
- 10:06Speaker 8: So that's a new one. That's a new one. So
- 10:10Speaker 8: I will dismiss that outrageous claim.
- 10:11Speaker 2: All right. Now, that's one reason you should vote against her.
- 10:15Speaker 2: She actually knows that everything she's saying is a preposterous lie.
- 10:20Speaker 2: She's got her own real polls. She'd pay a fortune
- 10:22Speaker 2: for these internal polls. You can see the public polls
- 10:25Speaker 2: are a million miles away from the real polls. And
- 10:27Speaker 2: she knows. She's seen the metrics in the real polls.
- 10:30Speaker 2: She knows how it works. So that's an out and
- 10:32Speaker 2: out lie. She'd lie to you that just blatantly. And
- 10:36Speaker 2: did you see how sincere she sounded when she lied?
- 10:39Speaker 2: That should scare you a little, that she sounded that
- 10:41Speaker 2: sincere lying. And her whole campaign is yelling and screaming, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.
- 10:47Speaker 9: All the promises that were made by Donald Trump and
- 10:49Speaker 9: repeated by Bruce Blakeman, who says he's going to cut
- 10:53Speaker 9: Medicaid in half and he's going to cut utility bills
- 10:56Speaker 9: in half on day one.
- 10:57Speaker 8: He's going to drive down price. None of this happens.
- 10:59Speaker 9: And I think what people saw with Donald Trump is
- 11:02Speaker 9: he says anything to get elected. You know, see the
- 11:04Speaker 9: parallels here in New York State say anything to get elected.
- 11:06Speaker 2: All right. But it's never going to happen.
- 11:11Speaker 10: It's happened.
- 11:12Speaker 2: You can cut the electric bills by hundreds and hundreds
- 11:15Speaker 2: of dollars a month. It's happened before. It's easy to do.
- 11:18Speaker 2: You just open up the fracking. It's natural gas. It's
- 11:23Speaker 2: the cleanest, safest kind of energy. It's all kinds of
- 11:26Speaker 2: things you do. You get rid of all the increases,
- 11:29Speaker 2: the taxes on your energy. You know, they keep talking
- 11:31Speaker 2: about gas prices. What's the effect of a higher, slightly
- 11:35Speaker 2: higher gas price? Well, you could pay an extra $ 100
- 11:37Speaker 2: a month or $ 150 a month. But with your electric bill,
- 11:42Speaker 2: you're paying an extra $ 300 a month thanks to Kathy
- 11:45Speaker 2: Hochul and her buddy Cuomo over there, Shut Down Indian Point.
- 11:48Speaker 2: That was 25% of our electricity. Bans fracking. You know,
- 11:54Speaker 2: in Pennsylvania, it's booming because they've got the fracking. Their
- 11:57Speaker 2: electric bills are nothing there. I mean, if you're going
- 12:00Speaker 2: to talk about gas prices, you've got to talk about
- 12:02Speaker 2: your electric bill. Those combined are the energy costs. And
- 12:07Speaker 2: she talks about affordability. You got to remember, Democrats have
- 12:12Speaker 2: controlled every inch of New York for 15 years. City Hall,
- 12:16Speaker 2: City Council, Albany, State Legislature, Governor's Mansion, 15 years total
- 12:22Speaker 2: control by the Democrats. So if there's an affordability crisis,
- 12:26Speaker 2: it's on them. They caused it. So why would you
- 12:29Speaker 2: keep them there if they're the ones that caused it?
- 12:31Speaker 2: You tried them for 15 years. And by their own admission,
- 12:35Speaker 2: there's an affordability crisis. There's a crime problem. There's this problem. Hey,
- 12:39Speaker 2: there's a lot of flack now about Kathy Hochul yesterday.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman has said if he's elected, he'll get rid
- 12:47Speaker 2: of this congestion pricing the day after the election. And
- 12:51Speaker 2: it has come out that if Hochul is reelected, she
- 12:54Speaker 2: plans to bring the congestion pricing to everybody. It's going
- 12:59Speaker 2: to go to Brooklyn. It's going to go to Queens.
- 13:02Speaker 2: It's going to go everywhere. You're going to have it
- 13:03Speaker 2: all over the place. It's going to go to Albany
- 13:05Speaker 2: and Rochester and Syracuse. So she comes out with these
- 13:09Speaker 2: fake studies that traffic is 12% lower, 17% lower. People
- 13:16Speaker 2: are able to drive 10 miles an hour fast. Well,
- 13:19Speaker 2: none of this is true. This is completely false. The
- 13:24Speaker 2: trucking industry, they've got their own numbers because the trucks
- 13:28Speaker 2: all have GPS. They've got all kinds of things in
- 13:32Speaker 2: the truck that measure all of this. And according to
- 13:36Speaker 2: their numbers, There has been no drop in traffic at all.
- 13:40Speaker 2: She claims it's cut by 11%. They actually show nothing.
- 13:44Speaker 2: There's been no change in traffic. And you know that
- 13:47Speaker 2: if you've been driving in New York or if you
- 13:49Speaker 2: live in New York. You look out the window at
- 13:50Speaker 2: the streets. There's been no change in traffic. Congestion pricing
- 13:54Speaker 2: has done absolutely nothing to fix anything. It's just a
- 13:58Speaker 2: cheap money grab. This slime ball that runs the MTA,
- 14:02Speaker 2: Jano Lieber, that's Hochul's guy there. put out a statement
- 14:06Speaker 2: saying it's an unqualified success. All the metrics show people
- 14:11Speaker 2: are saving time. There's absolutely no evidence of that. In fact,
- 14:17Speaker 2: the actual measure of it by legitimate sources shows absolutely
- 14:23Speaker 2: no difference in traffic since the congestion pricing. You know,
- 14:27Speaker 2: the other reason you got to elect Bruce Blakeman, you
- 14:30Speaker 2: got to start doing something about this anti-Semitism. It is
- 14:34Speaker 2: frighteningly out of control, especially here in New York. And
- 14:37Speaker 2: Mamdani's just throwing gasoline on the fire. So you got
- 14:42Speaker 2: to do something about that. Blakeman, Jewish himself. Blakeman, an
- 14:45Speaker 2: anti-Semitism fighter. You need somebody like that in government. It's
- 14:49Speaker 2: just getting crazier and crazier. And people are getting nuttier
- 14:53Speaker 2: and nuttier. It's not just here. It's this anti-Semitism. Wherever
- 14:56Speaker 2: you got blue states, they let it run wild. Although
- 15:00Speaker 2: I'll give them credit. In California... You can get these
- 15:04Speaker 2: personalized license plates everywhere. So in California, a woman wanted
- 15:07Speaker 2: a personalized plate, and the DMV wouldn't allow it. Her
- 15:13Speaker 2: personal plate was RVRTSEA, which is river to sea. RVR, river, T, sea.
- 15:23Speaker 2: River to sea, which is, of course, a very anti-Semitic thing,
- 15:27Speaker 2: calling for Israel to not exist. So the DMV in
- 15:32Speaker 2: California wouldn't allow the plate. She's now suing them. That's
- 15:36Speaker 2: California suing them because they're trying to impede her anti-Semitism.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And imagine that in California, driving around with that anti-Semitic
- 15:46Speaker 2: license plate. But that's what, and that's just the silly
- 15:50Speaker 2: little stuff. I mean, the real dangers of anti-Semitism, even,
- 15:54Speaker 2: you know, much more serious than that. And that's the
- 15:57Speaker 2: other reason you need to, bruce blakeman in new york
- 16:00Speaker 2: hey we got a lot to get to this morning
- 16:02Speaker 2: it's three hours every day mark simone here now nine
- 16:06Speaker 2: to noon every day on 7 10 wor it's the.
- 16:10Speaker 11: Mark simone show live from the wor life vac studios.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Hey um remember obama's cheesecake factory joke about president trump
- 16:24Speaker 2: it uh It's done some damage to Obama, and he's
- 16:28Speaker 2: out there fighting on the campaign trail about this again.
- 16:32Speaker 2: The joke was that President Trump, first he started saying
- 16:36Speaker 2: he's too busy. We're all worried about his home renovation.
- 16:42Speaker 2: But then he went after the way the Oval Office
- 16:44Speaker 2: is decorated. All that gold. And looks like Saddam Hussein
- 16:51Speaker 2: opened a cheesecake factory. Well, let's be honest. It is
- 16:55Speaker 2: too much gold in the Oval Office. And it's nice
- 16:57Speaker 2: to put some more paintings in, but he put 4,000
- 17:00Speaker 2: paintings on the wall. I mean, it's a little too much.
- 17:02Speaker 2: And I like the idea of putting the gold in.
- 17:05Speaker 2: But not every inch of every wall is a lot
- 17:07Speaker 2: of gold in. It looks like Liberace or something in there.
- 17:10Speaker 2: But that's his taste. So that's fine. You can make
- 17:15Speaker 2: jokes about that. The problem is, with this joke, Obama
- 17:20Speaker 2: didn't seem to understand... you know, because he's so out
- 17:24Speaker 2: of touch with normal people. He didn't seem to understand
- 17:27Speaker 2: what role the Cheesecake Factory plays in American life. You know,
- 17:32Speaker 2: remember Obama's an elitist, Ivy League elitist guy who travels
- 17:38Speaker 2: in the most elitist DC, you know, Georgetown circles, lives
- 17:43Speaker 2: in five mansions, lives in Martha's Vineyard. You know, this
- 17:48Speaker 2: Martha's Vineyard You see it, too, Southampton, even some of
- 17:52Speaker 2: the Upper East Side and the Georgetown, Martha's Vineyard people.
- 17:55Speaker 2: They have no contact with actual America or real Americans.
- 18:00Speaker 2: They just live in their bubble, and they just don't
- 18:03Speaker 2: understand certain things. When it comes to politics and when
- 18:07Speaker 2: it comes to just normal life, they have no idea
- 18:10Speaker 2: what a wah-wah is. They've never seen that. They don't
- 18:14Speaker 2: know what the Olive Garden is. They've never heard of it.
- 18:17Speaker 2: And they've heard of Cheesecake Factory because they're so everywhere,
- 18:21Speaker 2: but they don't really know what it is. So when
- 18:24Speaker 2: Obama made the joke, it was as if the Cheesecake
- 18:28Speaker 2: Factory was some cheap little thing, like it was a
- 18:30Speaker 2: 7-Eleven or something. I don't think he realizes. I know
- 18:34Speaker 2: he doesn't realize that to most Americans, the cheesecake is
- 18:38Speaker 2: a high-end place. It's not a little cheesy thing. No
- 18:43Speaker 2: pun intended. It's a special thing for most Americans. It's like...
- 18:48Speaker 2: special occasion, the birthday party. So that's where you go
- 18:51Speaker 2: to cheesecake factory for most of, you know, for the
- 18:54Speaker 2: middle of America. I don't think Obama understood that at all. So, uh,
- 18:58Speaker 2: Trump went after him on the cheesecake factory. Everybody went
- 19:02Speaker 2: after him for it. Uh, and then Scott Besson, it
- 19:05Speaker 2: turns out who looks pretty elitist, you know, Scott Besson
- 19:09Speaker 2: with his, uh, Harvard and his, uh, 12 degrees and
- 19:12Speaker 2: his hedge fund background and his, those elitist glasses and, uh,
- 19:17Speaker 2: He lives in a two, three mansion. But it turns
- 19:20Speaker 2: out he's a real guy, a regular guy who's out
- 19:23Speaker 2: there in the heartland, knows real America. And it turns
- 19:25Speaker 2: out he's a big Cheesecake Factory fan. So when Obama
- 19:29Speaker 2: made the joke, the next day he went to the
- 19:31Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory and had lunch. And when he was coming out,
- 19:34Speaker 2: the reporters tried to say and imply he didn't know anything. Well,
- 19:38Speaker 2: what's good on the menu of the cheesecake? Oh, the
- 19:40Speaker 2: best thing is the French dip cheeseburger, which I didn't
- 19:43Speaker 2: know about. I hadn't been to the Cheesecake Factory in
- 19:46Speaker 2: a while, but then they started showing pictures. It looked great.
- 19:49Speaker 2: French dip sandwiches are huge now. So Cheesecake Factory, the
- 19:53Speaker 2: French dip cheeseburger, phenomenal. So Obama on the campaign trail
- 19:57Speaker 2: now trying to make it look like Trump did something
- 20:00Speaker 2: wrong when he actually, Obama himself, made a mistake with
- 20:04Speaker 2: that Cheesecake Factory comment.
- 20:06Speaker 11: I accused this administration based on the facts that they
- 20:11Speaker 11: were engaging in unprecedented levels of corruption.
- 20:14Speaker 5: They didn't say anything about that.
- 20:18Speaker 11: The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison.
- 20:25Speaker 2: That part didn't bother him.
- 20:28Speaker 5: But he was very upset.
- 20:31Speaker 2: About the Cheesecake Factory comments.
- 20:35Speaker 5: He took great umbrage.
- 20:38Speaker 2: See, he's the audience. It's all Democrat Obamas. They're laughing
- 20:43Speaker 2: at you. You and your Cheesecake Factory. He went on
- 20:47Speaker 2: to blast. He said, even the man in charge of
- 20:50Speaker 2: the U.S. economy, what the hell was he doing going
- 20:53Speaker 2: to the Cheesecake Factory? Well, it's Scott Besson. He loves
- 20:55Speaker 2: the Cheesecake Factory. So he didn't say anything about Obama
- 21:00Speaker 2: saying it's unprecedented corruption because it's just a ridiculous, stupid accusation.
- 21:05Speaker 2: It's just Democrat hyperbole. Who would even respond to that?
- 21:11Speaker 2: He also went on to say he didn't say anything
- 21:12Speaker 2: about his out-of-control inflation. You know, the actual fact is
- 21:17Speaker 2: inflation was much higher under Obama than under Trump. You know,
- 21:21Speaker 2: gasoline prices were higher under Obama than under Trump. So
- 21:26Speaker 2: there was no reason to respond to that. But it's
- 21:30Speaker 2: killing him, this Cheesecake Factory backlash that he's getting, because
- 21:34Speaker 2: he still doesn't know what it is. And when Besset,
- 21:36Speaker 2: when he came out, I remember he said, and it
- 21:38Speaker 2: was a good point, he said the Martha's Vineyard set
- 21:42Speaker 2: might do themselves some good to get familiar with the
- 21:44Speaker 2: Cheesecake Factory. And that is Obama nowadays. Part of the
- 21:49Speaker 2: Martha's Vineyard set. That's him. Totally, completely out of touch now.
- 21:55Speaker 2: You know, we have an ambassador to the United Nations.
- 21:58Speaker 2: It's the world's worst job. President Trump and everybody hated
- 22:04Speaker 2: Nikki Haley, but they needed to get her out of
- 22:07Speaker 2: South Carolina because they loved the lieutenant governor. They wanted
- 22:11Speaker 2: him to become governor. So they had to get her
- 22:14Speaker 2: out of there. So the first Trump administration, he said,
- 22:17Speaker 2: I got somewhere I can dump her. And they made
- 22:18Speaker 2: her the ambassador to the UN. It's a ridiculous job.
- 22:23Speaker 2: It doesn't do anything. But she loved it because she
- 22:26Speaker 2: went around there and got friendly with all the swamp people,
- 22:28Speaker 2: with all the elitists. Although she's a nasty person in
- 22:32Speaker 2: real life, a nasty person. And after a while, they
- 22:36Speaker 2: all came to realize that and stopped dealing with her.
- 22:39Speaker 2: And you remember when Trump got reelected, she kind of hinted, well,
- 22:42Speaker 2: I'll be in the cabinet. He put out a statement immediately.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Nikki Haley will not be part of my administration. She
- 22:49Speaker 2: was in the first one and caused nothing but trouble.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Everybody in the administration will tell you. lying, scheming, worst
- 22:56Speaker 2: person they ever worked with. So don't expect to hear
- 22:58Speaker 2: much from her again. But our current UN ambassador is
- 23:01Speaker 2: Mike Waltz. I don't know why he wanted this job.
- 23:04Speaker 2: He could have gotten almost anything he wanted, but I
- 23:06Speaker 2: guess he likes trying to battle these people. UN is
- 23:10Speaker 2: like the most anti-Semitic, awful place, anti-American. It's basically a
- 23:16Speaker 2: VIP lounge for dictators and socialists. So he's taken on
- 23:20Speaker 2: the Cuba delegation, fighting with them, If you go down
- 23:25Speaker 2: to Cuba, conditions are horrible, just horrible, horrible. They have
- 23:29Speaker 2: government-run supermarkets. Everything in them looks awful. There's hardly anything.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Most of the shelves are empty. And instead of all
- 23:38Speaker 2: the brands of cereal we have, you just see white
- 23:39Speaker 2: boxes that just say cereal on them. It's just generic
- 23:44Speaker 2: government-made stuff. Most people living in poverty, except for the leaders.
- 23:48Speaker 2: This always happens in these socialist countries. The leaders are
- 23:51Speaker 2: in palaces. Everybody else in poverty. So he's telling this
- 23:54Speaker 2: Cuban delegation off, fighting with them. They're yelling and screaming.
- 23:58Speaker 12: Your ex would say, I know you don't like to
- 24:00Speaker 12: hear this. This is America, my friend. This is the
- 24:03Speaker 12: United Nations. This isn't your communist dictatorship. You cannot silence
- 24:08Speaker 12: me or you cannot silence my colleagues.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Good for Mike Walsh. He's gone.
- 24:13Speaker 13: He is going to be on a plane to Havana
- 24:16Speaker 13: within the next 24 hours. You lay a hand on
- 24:19Speaker 13: an American here in the United States, President Trump, Secretary Rubio,
- 24:25Speaker 13: and myself, we're not going to stand for it.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Yeah, no, they throw out anybody that does it.
- 24:30Speaker 8: Back up, Ambassador.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Back away.
- 24:32Speaker 5: This isn't Havana. I'm suspending the meeting.
- 24:35Speaker 2: You're not going to intimidate me. I'm suspending this meeting.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Do you understand who you're dealing with? This is America.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Back up.
- 24:41Speaker 12: The rule is clear. This is the substance of the speech.
- 24:44Speaker 12: There are no procedural. The meeting is suspended.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Please sit down. Sit down. Good for him. And it's
- 24:53Speaker 2: the U.N. They hate America. They hate Jews. They hate
- 24:56Speaker 2: a lot of stuff over there. But you're the U.N.
- 24:59Speaker 13: Guy.
- 25:00Speaker 2: We must suspend. Stop this right now. That gavel. You
- 25:05Speaker 2: ever been in the UN? It is the dumpiest building
- 25:08Speaker 2: in New York. It is a decaying, dumpy building. Nothing
- 25:12Speaker 2: has been fixed or touched since 1960. It's the oldest looking,
- 25:16Speaker 2: crappiest building on the inside. It's just awful. Hey, we
- 25:19Speaker 2: got a lot coming up. We'll take some calls too.
- 25:22Speaker 2: On 710WOR. Much more Mark.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Mark Simone.
- 25:27Speaker 11: Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 25:30Speaker 5: On 710WOR.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Well, let's see here. DoorDash is buying Instacart. These are
- 25:39Speaker 2: two of the big delivery giants. They'll be one company now.
- 25:43Speaker 2: DoorDash will buy Instacart for $ 17 billion.
- 25:46Speaker 13: Wow.
- 25:46Speaker 2: $ 65 per share. DoorDash reported better than expected quarterly profits.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't like any of these services.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Go pick it up yourself. Go pick it up yourself.
- 26:01Speaker 2: You know, if you ever saw what happened to your
- 26:03Speaker 2: DoorDash Instacart, what's the other one? There's a bunch of these.
- 26:08Speaker 2: If you ever saw what happened, it sits in the
- 26:10Speaker 2: restaurant for like a half hour. Then the guy picks
- 26:14Speaker 2: it up, throws it in his car, takes his time
- 26:17Speaker 2: getting to you, sometimes makes a stop, Bunch of stops.
- 26:21Speaker 2: By the time it gets to you, it's like two
- 26:23Speaker 2: hours old. It's Grubhub, all of them. Go get it yourself.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Go get it yourself and bring it right home. It's much, much,
- 26:32Speaker 2: much easier. What else is going on? Hey, Wendy's is,
- 26:36Speaker 2: remember I told you, Wendy's was closing 60 stores. The
- 26:41Speaker 2: finances look very bad. And then the billionaire, Nelson Peltz,
- 26:47Speaker 2: Looks like he wants to buy Wendy's. Looks like he
- 26:49Speaker 2: wants to take it over, maybe even take it private.
- 26:52Speaker 2: So as a result, the stock is going up. But also,
- 26:57Speaker 2: you know, Nelson Peltz has been a pretty smart investor,
- 27:00Speaker 2: buying companies here and there. So when he showed this
- 27:02Speaker 2: great interest, a bunch of other companies now looking at Wendy's.
- 27:07Speaker 2: All of a sudden, it's a takeover target. A lot
- 27:09Speaker 2: of people looking at it, hoping to get control of it. Hey,
- 27:13Speaker 2: let's take some calls. $ 800. 321-0710 is the number. 800-321-0710.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Let's go to Kathy in North Carolina. Kathy, how are
- 27:26Speaker 2: you doing?
- 27:28Speaker 14: Good morning, Mark.
- 27:29Speaker 15: It's always great to hear you.
- 27:31Speaker 8: I want to talk about polling.
- 27:33Speaker 16: I know you always have that fabulous guest on who
- 27:36Speaker 16: is the expert on polling.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Well, no, he's just the best pollster in the world.
- 27:39Speaker 2: He's the one the candidates use behind the scenes. He's
- 27:42Speaker 2: the real pollster.
- 27:43Speaker 16: Okay, so there's different kinds of polls, I guess. Like
- 27:46Speaker 16: when you're a candidate and you privately hire a polling
- 27:49Speaker 16: company to tell you how your numbers are doing, that's
- 27:52Speaker 16: what he does, correct?
- 27:54Speaker 2: No, what it is, the public polls are the most tiny, frivolous,
- 27:58Speaker 2: junk polls. They do maybe 500 people, 800 people. They
- 28:03Speaker 2: just call whoever the hell they want. A public poll,
- 28:06Speaker 2: the one at the college, these things cost $ 3, 000, $ 4, 000
- 28:08Speaker 2: to do. The real polls, it's like a million dollars
- 28:13Speaker 2: a month a candidate will pay for them. They're deadly accurate.
- 28:16Speaker 2: They use 20, 30, 40,000 people, scientifically chosen to represent exactly.
- 28:23Speaker 16: That you're hiring somebody at a million dollars or whatever
- 28:25Speaker 16: to do this private polling. You're not obligated to tell
- 28:30Speaker 16: the truth about the polling. Like I could say, oh,
- 28:33Speaker 16: the polling says that I'm ahead and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 28:36Speaker 16: Like there's no, or are you even telling anybody?
- 28:39Speaker 2: We played a clip earlier of Hochul out and out lying.
- 28:43Speaker 2: She's got these private polls. She has them. She sees
- 28:46Speaker 2: that it's deadlocked now. They're both within the margin. So
- 28:48Speaker 2: she keeps lying. The public polls are great. How could
- 28:51Speaker 2: anybody attack them?
- 28:53Speaker 16: But is it illegal for her to do that?
- 28:55Speaker 13: No.
- 28:55Speaker 16: That's what I'm wondering.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Illegal for a candidate to lie?
- 28:58Speaker 12: No.
- 28:58Speaker 16: Okay. Well, I just feel like there should be some
- 29:02Speaker 16: kind of overhaul of all these polling things because we
- 29:06Speaker 16: keep on talking about you can't trust the polls, and
- 29:08Speaker 16: then you do the polls, and then you say you
- 29:09Speaker 16: can't trust the polls.
- 29:10Speaker 2: It's not even the fault of the polling companies. I
- 29:13Speaker 2: could show you the metrics, and you'd say, oh, my God,
- 29:15Speaker 2: it's totally rigged. you could show this to the New
- 29:17Speaker 2: York times. You could show us to everybody on TV
- 29:20Speaker 2: and they'll keep quoting these polls as if they're real. They,
- 29:23Speaker 2: they know they're, they're not real. They know there's suppression polls.
- 29:27Speaker 18: I get it.
- 29:28Speaker 16: I wanted to tell you in North Carolina that they
- 29:30Speaker 16: did a kind of sneaky thing. I call it reverse
- 29:33Speaker 16: psychology in the Senate race here. When I did start
- 29:37Speaker 16: to notice kind of a manipulation, whereas Cooper's campaign wrote saying,
- 29:45Speaker 16: you know, the polls say that he's behind when they
- 29:49Speaker 16: didn't really say that. He's behind, so don't believe that.
- 29:52Speaker 16: You guys get out.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's a suppression poll.
- 29:54Speaker 16: It was reverse psychology.
- 29:56Speaker 2: It's crazy. But don't believe it at all. Hey, Israel's
- 30:00Speaker 2: a good example. They did this crap in Israel, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 2: putting out these polls. Bibi has no chance. He's a
- 30:04Speaker 2: thousand points behind. Bibi can't win. Fifty points behind. A
- 30:08Speaker 2: million points behind. Look what happened. Absolutely deadlocked. It's two
- 30:12Speaker 2: days later. He's still so close he can't even tell.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Polls were totally wrong because they were rigged. Now, a
- 30:18Speaker 2: lot of times you'll see some of these fake polls.
- 30:21Speaker 2: The night before, they'll unrig it. At the last second,
- 30:25Speaker 2: it'll suddenly be a real poll. And that way, They
- 30:28Speaker 2: can later claim, hey, we got it right. We got
- 30:30Speaker 2: it right. They forget to mention it was only the
- 30:32Speaker 2: last hour before the campaign was over. They got it right.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Let's go to Bob in Florida. Bob, how are you doing?
- 30:39Speaker 2: I'm doing well, Mr.
- 30:40Speaker 19: New York.
- 30:40Speaker 20: How are you doing today? How's the weather?
- 30:42Speaker 2: 60 and sunny. It's beautiful. How's the flooding down there?
- 30:46Speaker 2: Where are you in Florida?
- 30:48Speaker 20: I'm on the west side of Florida.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Oh, okay. On the east coast, they've got terrible flooding everywhere.
- 30:54Speaker 19: Yeah, I heard that.
- 30:56Speaker 2: King tides. The tides are so high. They flooded Miami.
- 31:00Speaker 2: They flooded Fort Lauderdale. They're flooding Palm Beach.
- 31:04Speaker 20: They said fish were swimming down the street, but I
- 31:06Speaker 20: didn't really pay attention.
- 31:07Speaker 2: That's okay. Don't worry. The alligators will eat them.
- 31:11Speaker 20: Yeah, or the 20-foot Burmese pythons.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a wonderful state. If you like snakes and
- 31:16Speaker 2: alligators and lizards, it's the place to be.
- 31:18Speaker 20: Another thing, if you want to live in a sauna,
- 31:22Speaker 20: come on down here, okay? Because the humidity here is
- 31:25Speaker 20: beyond imaginable. I want to talk about the weather on Saturday, though. Yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 20: What I should have said was, when you said it
- 31:34Speaker 20: was 60 on Sunday, perfect weather for early voting. Bruce
- 31:39Speaker 20: Blakeman needs to get people in the city to vote
- 31:42Speaker 20: Friday or Saturday in the nice weather because you've got
- 31:46Speaker 20: the marathon on Sunday. It's going to follow everything up.
- 31:48Speaker 20: You won't be able to go anywhere.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Well, this is New York. Unlike Florida, where you've got
- 31:53Speaker 2: to get in your car and drive half an hour everywhere.
- 31:55Speaker 2: This is New York. Wherever you live, there's a polling
- 31:57Speaker 2: place a couple blocks away you can easily walk to. Well,
- 32:01Speaker 2: that's New York.
- 32:01Speaker 20: Before I was in Las Vegas, they had the marathon.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I rode the bus.
- 32:04Speaker 20: We had to take about a half-hour detour. around the strip,
- 32:08Speaker 20: around the airport to come back up to Tropicana so
- 32:10Speaker 20: I could go and play poker.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Are you one of those poker players?
- 32:14Speaker 20: Anyway, uh, uh, yeah, if I had money, I'd be
- 32:18Speaker 20: a poker player.
- 32:19Speaker 2: What is the thrill? I got kicked out of the,
- 32:21Speaker 2: what is the thrill of sitting in a dark room
- 32:23Speaker 2: in the middle of the day playing cards when you
- 32:25Speaker 2: could be out in the sun and fun?
- 32:28Speaker 20: Well, you know, I don't want to say it's like
- 32:30Speaker 20: homo club, but it's like homo club. All these guys
- 32:33Speaker 20: giggling and laughing, trying to get their money. But, uh,
- 32:36Speaker 20: I don't know if I could say that.
- 32:38Speaker 21: You're just trying to.
- 32:38Speaker 20: Get their money.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's great. Thanks for calling. These guys with
- 32:44Speaker 2: the poker, and they don't just play for it. It's
- 32:46Speaker 2: not like you go, oh, let me play for 20 minutes.
- 32:47Speaker 2: They sit there for 11 hours. They go to Las Vegas.
- 32:53Speaker 2: It's a dark, you're in a casino in the middle
- 32:55Speaker 2: of the day. There's no windows. They sit there for
- 32:57Speaker 2: like 18 hours playing cards. Two days in a row,
- 33:00Speaker 2: then they come home. How was Las Vegas? It was great.
- 33:02Speaker 2: They never even saw Las Vegas. They're in this one
- 33:05Speaker 2: room for 500 hours during the trip. Let's go to
- 33:08Speaker 2: Bruce in St. Louis. Bruce, how are you doing?
- 33:13Speaker 21: I'm doing fantastic. How are you today?
- 33:15Speaker 2: I'm good. What's going on in St. Louis?
- 33:19Speaker 18: Well, I just wanted to say that Obama commenting on.
- 33:25Speaker 18: Trump's architectural taste when his library looks like R2-D2 crossbred
- 33:32Speaker 18: with a kitchen trash can is more than a little ironic.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a very good point. Excellent point. I forgot
- 33:39Speaker 2: to mention that. Besides Obama criticizing Trump's decorating, the other
- 33:45Speaker 2: arguing against him, he's the last guy on Earth who should.
- 33:49Speaker 2: ever talk about decor since he is now credited with
- 33:52Speaker 2: building the single ugliest building in the history of america
- 33:56Speaker 2: his predated presidential library is so ugly a lot of
- 34:00Speaker 2: the houses that around that park are actually suing because
- 34:05Speaker 2: it's such an eyesore and has ruined their neighborhood let's
- 34:08Speaker 2: go to uh let's go to brendan in ulster county
- 34:12Speaker 2: brendan how you doing Good morning, Mark.
- 34:15Speaker 22: Thank you for taking my call. Hey, I appreciate all
- 34:18Speaker 22: you do. You make me feel good about and optimistic
- 34:21Speaker 22: about all the negativity going on out there, you know?
- 34:24Speaker 22: I really appreciate that. I just want to let you
- 34:26Speaker 22: know that Obama stole that joke from Trump himself. Trump
- 34:32Speaker 22: was on Saturday Night Live in 2006 in a skit,
- 34:35Speaker 22: and there was one of the actors was playing him,
- 34:38Speaker 22: and he was playing a janitor, and they were twins,
- 34:40Speaker 22: kind of like a Prince and the Pauper thing, and
- 34:43Speaker 22: the The actor playing Trump was the president of his
- 34:46Speaker 22: business and asked Trump the janitor what he thought of
- 34:50Speaker 22: his office. He said, well, it looks like the inside
- 34:52Speaker 22: of one of Saddam Hussein's castles. So he stole it.
- 34:56Speaker 23: Oh, yeah.
- 34:56Speaker 19: No, no, no.
- 34:57Speaker 2: No, the Saddam Hussein part is fine. That's okay as
- 35:00Speaker 2: a joke. But Obama didn't seem to understand what Cheesecake
- 35:04Speaker 2: Factory really means to people. He was using it as
- 35:07Speaker 2: if it's some cheap, crummy place. not realizing most people
- 35:12Speaker 2: consider the Cheesecake Factory upscale and a fine-looking place. And
- 35:17Speaker 2: if you go to a Cheesecake Factory, it's not tacky-looking.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It's pretty nice-looking in a Cheesecake Factory. Yeah, that's the
- 35:24Speaker 2: good old days. Remember when they loved President Trump at
- 35:28Speaker 2: Saturday Night Live? They loved him at NBC. They thought
- 35:31Speaker 2: he was great back then. Hey, we've got a lot
- 35:34Speaker 2: to get to. We've got two more hours to go.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I'm here now nine to noon every day, three hours
- 35:38Speaker 2: every day. 9 to noon. Then at noon, Buck and
- 35:42Speaker 2: Clay do a really good show every day. Then at 3,
- 35:44Speaker 2: we've got the most listened to radio show in America.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Sean Hannity. You've got Jesse Kelly. He's on every night
- 35:50Speaker 2: at 6. At 9 every night, the very funny Jimmy Fallon.
- 35:55Speaker 2: And he'll be with us. He'll be on the show
- 35:57Speaker 2: in the next hour. It's all coming up on 710WOR.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Mark Simone.
- 36:05Speaker 19: More Mark.
- 36:06Speaker 13: On 710WOR.
- 36:10Speaker 2: That's right, three hours every day, 9 to noon. If
- 36:12Speaker 2: you're just tuning in, you missed the whole first hour.
- 36:14Speaker 2: 9 to noon every day. So it's the middle of autumn,
- 36:21Speaker 2: although signs of winter are coming. The ice skating rink
- 36:25Speaker 2: opened now in Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center. They're ice skating
- 36:29Speaker 2: as we speak. I saw the very first Christmas tree,
- 36:33Speaker 2: the one above the Radio City Music Hall marquee. That
- 36:37Speaker 2: Christmas tree is up. It's fall weather, though. It's going
- 36:41Speaker 2: to be about 67 today. Now, I'm looking at the forecast.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Nothing but sunshine until, you know what? It looks like
- 36:52Speaker 2: a week and a half of no rain. That's the
- 36:54Speaker 2: current forecast. It couldn't change. But it's bright sunshine for
- 36:57Speaker 2: the next four or five days. You can be sure
- 36:59Speaker 2: of that. 67 today. 69 on Friday tomorrow. Around 60
- 37:05Speaker 2: over the weekend. But it's going to be bright sunshine.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Beautiful autumn weather. Leaves look great, especially just as you
- 37:11Speaker 2: get outside of New York. Beautiful. That fall, autumn colors
- 37:15Speaker 2: are everywhere. It looks great. Marathon is on Sunday. Daylight
- 37:20Speaker 2: saving time ends Saturday night. So it's going to be
- 37:25Speaker 2: rough starting Sunday. It'll be dark out by 5 o'clock.
- 37:28Speaker 2: So don't forget about that Saturday night. We've got two
- 37:31Speaker 2: more hours to go. Back right after the news. Mark
- 37:34Speaker 2: Simone here on 710-W-O-O.
- 37:38Speaker 11: The Mark Simone Show, now nine till noon weekdays on 710WOR.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Hey, if there's some good news here, if you're a Democrat,
- 37:53Speaker 2: cover your ears for a minute. The GDP, the growth
- 37:56Speaker 2: numbers have come out. We were expected to grow 3.1%
- 37:59Speaker 2: the GDP. The numbers have come out and we've actually
- 38:04Speaker 2: grown even more. It's 3.4%. beating expectations. That's pretty good
- 38:09Speaker 2: GDP growth. It indicates a good, booming, healthy economy. All right,
- 38:16Speaker 2: if you're a Democrat, you can uncover your ears. So
- 38:19Speaker 2: that's good news. Now, the elections in Israel are too
- 38:23Speaker 2: close to call at this point. Bibi Netanyahu has a lead,
- 38:26Speaker 2: but a very slight lead, so they won't officially declare
- 38:31Speaker 2: a winner yet. Netanyahu slightly ahead, and That lead is
- 38:37Speaker 2: held for about the last 24 hours, so that's good news.
- 38:43Speaker 2: The opponent, Eisen... What's his name? Eisenglatt. Close second. Now,
- 38:48Speaker 2: at some point, it's possible that one of them, most
- 38:52Speaker 2: likely Netanyahu, will get the other parties to form coalitions.
- 38:56Speaker 2: You have to get over 61 seats to take control,
- 39:00Speaker 2: so that could happen. But they'll keep trying to get the...
- 39:04Speaker 2: the final, final, final numbers and then declare a winner.
- 39:07Speaker 2: But Netanyahu, so far in the lead, but very slightly,
- 39:11Speaker 2: and he's going to have to get some other parties
- 39:13Speaker 2: to join him, create a coalition to be in control.
- 39:17Speaker 2: We'll see what happens. The opposition guy, former IDF, Israel
- 39:24Speaker 2: Defense Forces commander, the difference between him and Netanyahu, as
- 39:30Speaker 2: far as the war, they both would go all out
- 39:35Speaker 2: to defend Israel, of course, against any Hamas or any
- 39:39Speaker 2: craziness like that. They differ on Iran. Netanyahu would like
- 39:44Speaker 2: to just go totally, totally wipe out Iran's regime uh
- 39:50Speaker 2: the opponent though he's all for um military strikes on
- 39:55Speaker 2: iran he doesn't believe it's possible to get regime change
- 39:58Speaker 2: so president trump would rather have netanyahu i think trump
- 40:01Speaker 2: wants regime change as most people do looking for a
- 40:06Speaker 2: more permanent solution so it's going to be another day
- 40:10Speaker 2: or two before we get a definite winner in israel
- 40:13Speaker 2: hey uh the evening news they still have this believe
- 40:16Speaker 2: it or not it's an antiquated sort of thing you
- 40:18Speaker 2: know back in the Good old days. You'd get home
- 40:21Speaker 2: and you'd watch the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Or you'd watch NBC News. It was Huntley and Brinkley.
- 40:29Speaker 2: And then it was John Chancellor. And then it was
- 40:32Speaker 2: Tom Brokaw. You know, you worked all day. You went
- 40:35Speaker 2: to school all day, whatever. You were busy all day.
- 40:38Speaker 2: And then you got home and you put on the
- 40:40Speaker 2: local news. You got all your local news at 6.
- 40:42Speaker 2: And at 6.30, you got all the national news. And
- 40:46Speaker 2: that was it, believe it or not. That was all
- 40:49Speaker 2: you got as far as the news. One hour, six
- 40:51Speaker 2: to seven of news on television. That was it. There
- 40:56Speaker 2: was nothing else. Now, then Ted Turner comes along and
- 41:00Speaker 2: he invents CNN. Oh, look at that. You could watch
- 41:04Speaker 2: the news anytime you want. In fact, you could watch
- 41:06Speaker 2: it all day if you want. There was nothing but news.
- 41:09Speaker 2: And remember, in the old Ted Turner beginnings of CNN,
- 41:12Speaker 2: it was fair, balanced, neutral. It was legitimate news back then.
- 41:17Speaker 2: And everybody said he was crazy. How the hell could
- 41:21Speaker 2: you have news all day? Who's going to want a
- 41:23Speaker 2: 24-hour news channel on television? They thought he was insane.
- 41:27Speaker 2: His family wanted to have him committed. They thought it
- 41:29Speaker 2: was nuts. But he always said, they got these all-news
- 41:34Speaker 2: radio stations, and in every city where they have them,
- 41:38Speaker 2: they do really well. Some cities, the all-news station is
- 41:40Speaker 2: number one. So he said, if it's working on radio,
- 41:43Speaker 2: why wouldn't it work on TV? And that's where he
- 41:45Speaker 2: got the idea. And of course, CNN took off, big,
- 41:49Speaker 2: big help by the Gulf War, the old Gulf War,
- 41:54Speaker 2: because then everybody wanted 24-7 coverage, and they turned to
- 41:57Speaker 2: CNN for the Gulf War, and some real stars emerged
- 42:01Speaker 2: from that. That's how Wolf Blitzer became famous. Who was
- 42:04Speaker 2: the other guy? The Studs, the Scud Stud. Remember him,
- 42:08Speaker 2: the good-looking guy with the Scud missiles? What was his name?
- 42:11Speaker 2: I don't even remember. That's how everybody got to know
- 42:14Speaker 2: Christiane Amanpour, and there was CNN... Well-known anchors, Bernard Shaw
- 42:19Speaker 2: and all those guys. And that's the good old days.
- 42:22Speaker 2: What was my point? Oh, the point is it's now 2026.
- 42:25Speaker 2: You know, you had CNN came along, then Fox News
- 42:31Speaker 2: and MSNBC got three or four. You got Newsmax. You
- 42:34Speaker 2: got a whole bunch of 24-7 news channels. And then
- 42:37Speaker 2: the internet comes along and you got a million news sites.
- 42:42Speaker 2: You can get news every second, all day, 24. So
- 42:45Speaker 2: what's the point of the evening news? What's the point
- 42:49Speaker 2: of it? Who needs it? I guess some older people.
- 42:54Speaker 2: I'm looking at the ratings. The demos on the evening
- 42:57Speaker 2: news on the networks, very, very, very old. So I
- 43:00Speaker 2: guess it's people that don't get their news off the internet.
- 43:04Speaker 2: But it's interesting. ABC with David Muir, that network newscast,
- 43:09Speaker 2: number one with over 8 million viewers. In fact, believe
- 43:13Speaker 2: it or not, most weeks it's the single biggest show
- 43:15Speaker 2: in television, aside from football and all that. It's the
- 43:19Speaker 2: most watched show. Beats everything in primetime with $ 8 million.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Number two, NBC with $ 6 million, which is not bad.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Pretty good. That's the new anchor whose name is, I
- 43:31Speaker 2: can't remember, but he's the guy that replaced Lester Holton.
- 43:34Speaker 2: He's doing great. Now, CBS News, $ 4 million, half of
- 43:40Speaker 2: what ABC gets. It's a distant third place at $ 4 million,
- 43:44Speaker 2: and that's this Tony DeCouple show. I don't know what
- 43:50Speaker 2: they can do over there. I mean, we could just
- 43:52Speaker 2: put it out of its misery. No reason to do
- 43:54Speaker 2: the evening news anymore. Do something else. Put a game
- 43:58Speaker 2: show on it. It'll get triple their ratings. Do something else.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Or I guess you can just, you know, you can
- 44:06Speaker 2: make a living with 4 million viewers watching you. So
- 44:10Speaker 2: I guess they're happy with it. It's okay. But now
- 44:14Speaker 2: there's stuff going on all over the world. With Ukraine
- 44:17Speaker 2: and Russia, they are going to sit down and talk.
- 44:19Speaker 2: The U.S. will be there. They call that trilateral talks.
- 44:23Speaker 2: They will begin within days of the midterms. In fact,
- 44:28Speaker 2: probably the week after the midterm election. Election day is
- 44:31Speaker 2: next Tuesday and probably right after that. They'll start the talks.
- 44:35Speaker 2: It'll be Ukraine, Russia, the U.S. face-to-face talks. They'll take
- 44:41Speaker 2: place in Abu Dhabi in the UAE and Now, the
- 44:49Speaker 2: only thing going on as far as Ukraine and Russia,
- 44:51Speaker 2: the normal fighting, the only thing going on is there
- 44:54Speaker 2: was a massive drone attack against Russia's capital. I don't
- 44:59Speaker 2: know what he was thinking because, you know, wait for
- 45:01Speaker 2: the talks. But Zelensky tried to hit Moscow hard with
- 45:06Speaker 2: a massive drone attack aiming right for the capital. Russia
- 45:10Speaker 2: managed to shoot down 10 drones heading into Moscow. So very,
- 45:16Speaker 2: very aggressive on the part of Zelensky. Hey, the marathon
- 45:20Speaker 2: is this weekend. That's on Sunday. But you've got to remember,
- 45:23Speaker 2: Friday night and all day Saturday, restaurants will be going
- 45:28Speaker 2: crazy with these marathon runners. They come from all over
- 45:31Speaker 2: the world. Thousands of these runners come in, and they
- 45:35Speaker 2: do this stupid thing they call carb loading, where they've
- 45:37Speaker 2: got to eat pasta all day and night. And if
- 45:41Speaker 2: it's an Italian restaurant, it will be clogged up with people.
- 45:44Speaker 2: You're going to find it very difficult to get in
- 45:47Speaker 2: anywhere Friday and Saturday. And actually, non-Italian restaurants deliberately changed
- 45:53Speaker 2: the menu for a special marathon menu for carb loading.
- 45:58Speaker 2: So that's this weekend. Marathon on Sunday. Be a traffic
- 46:01Speaker 2: nightmare trying to get around. So just remember that. As
- 46:06Speaker 2: I said, the GDP looks great. Growth over the last
- 46:10Speaker 2: quarter better than expected. Fed meeting yesterday. Kevin Warsh talked
- 46:16Speaker 2: about inflation.
- 46:16Speaker 24: Real activity is clearly pointing in the right direction. That's
- 46:20Speaker 24: good news. But inflation is too high. Energy and related
- 46:25Speaker 24: prices have moved higher again in recent weeks. And our
- 46:29Speaker 24: job is to ensure that relative price changes in some
- 46:32Speaker 24: sectors do not broaden out across the economy.
- 46:37Speaker 2: No interest rate hike, though.
- 46:39Speaker 24: Economic activity is expanding at a strong pace. While uncertainty remains,
- 46:45Speaker 24: owing in part to geopolitical developments, domestic spending has been resilient.
- 46:51Speaker 24: Productivity growth is strong, and capital investment robust.
- 46:56Speaker 2: He's a very nice guy, Kevin Warsh. I know the guy,
- 46:58Speaker 2: and sometimes you sit and talk with him, and he
- 47:00Speaker 2: tells you about that stuff, and you look at him
- 47:03Speaker 2: and you go, I don't know why a guy would
- 47:06Speaker 2: want this job. But some people love this stuff. Hugh Hefner.
- 47:15Speaker 2: I knew him a little and he used to come
- 47:17Speaker 2: on the show. Remember, we used to have Hugh Hefner on.
- 47:19Speaker 2: He was, you know, funny, charming and had all those
- 47:25Speaker 2: women and had that big round bed and he spent
- 47:30Speaker 2: his whole day in his pajamas walking around with that
- 47:33Speaker 2: smoking jacket. But he did have a wife the last
- 47:38Speaker 2: few years. The wife is now talking. I don't know
- 47:41Speaker 2: who to believe in all this, but the wife And
- 47:44Speaker 2: a couple of former playmates, they're all talking. First of all,
- 47:47Speaker 2: there were a lot of celebrities at that Playboy Mansion. Ooh,
- 47:50Speaker 2: he had parties all the time. I went to a
- 47:52Speaker 2: few of those. And he'd have movie night. The funniest
- 47:56Speaker 2: thing with the movie night, Hefner loved movies. You'd all
- 47:58Speaker 2: get in this room, and he'd have all the bunnies
- 48:02Speaker 2: and the playmates, and they'd show a movie. The problem was,
- 48:07Speaker 2: these playmates, these centerfolds, they're all 23 years old. Hefner
- 48:12Speaker 2: would always show a movie from the 1940s. These people
- 48:16Speaker 2: didn't know what the hell they were looking at. They'd
- 48:17Speaker 2: never seen black and white. They didn't know who the
- 48:20Speaker 2: hell Humphrey Bogart is or any of these people. So
- 48:23Speaker 2: they would just doze off there. He would love these movies,
- 48:27Speaker 2: all the classics from the forties. They had no idea
- 48:31Speaker 2: why they were looking at this. And then of course
- 48:33Speaker 2: there was the grotto and all of that. And, uh,
- 48:36Speaker 2: there were celebrities that were, uh, taking advantage of all
- 48:39Speaker 2: of this. So, uh, Hefner's ex-wife said the worst was
- 48:43Speaker 2: Jack Nicholson, who was always there treating it like a drive-thru.
- 48:49Speaker 2: She said Nicholson was such a frequent visitor that they
- 48:54Speaker 2: called it Jack's drive-thru. At one point, he would... And
- 48:57Speaker 2: she said it was not only women, but sometimes if
- 48:59Speaker 2: you needed food, he'd just come through. They had buffets everywhere, everything.
- 49:04Speaker 2: So Nicholson, always there. But she also... Gets into a
- 49:08Speaker 2: lot of stuff about Hefner and the sex life and how, yeah,
- 49:14Speaker 2: he did have three, four, you know, the problem is
- 49:18Speaker 2: if you sleep with a million sexes, and a million
- 49:21Speaker 2: play but i've seen this with famous actors if you
- 49:24Speaker 2: sleep with millions and millions and millions and millions and
- 49:26Speaker 2: beautiful women after a while it kind of gets boring
- 49:30Speaker 2: to you've done it 10 million times it doesn't do
- 49:32Speaker 2: anything for so then they got to start having two
- 49:35Speaker 2: women at once and three women at once and four
- 49:37Speaker 2: women at once and and then after a while that gets,
- 49:40Speaker 2: you know, do you remember Peter Lawford, his wife told
- 49:43Speaker 2: me when she said that after that, he was like,
- 49:46Speaker 2: it would be ducks and horses, anything, whatever he had
- 49:49Speaker 2: to do. But, um, she says Hefner had, um, more
- 49:54Speaker 2: and more women at the same time. And then, uh,
- 49:57Speaker 2: he bought out these dirty sex toys, wanted them to
- 50:00Speaker 2: use them. And then he would have twins and, uh, uh,
- 50:04Speaker 2: wanted them to have sex with each other. She said,
- 50:06Speaker 2: it just got more and more and more gross. So,
- 50:09Speaker 2: But I don't know, what's the point of saying all
- 50:11Speaker 2: this now? Why bring it up? Hey, this Katie Zachariah,
- 50:16Speaker 2: I don't know why she's doing these shows. She runs
- 50:19Speaker 2: around doing these TV shows. You know, the smart thing
- 50:22Speaker 2: to do, go away for a while. Give it six months,
- 50:25Speaker 2: let it die out. But she goes on with Piers Morgan,
- 50:29Speaker 2: who's always looking for trouble. So he's tearing into her
- 50:33Speaker 2: about exactly how did you get fired? What did President
- 50:35Speaker 2: Trump say to you? And she's being very diplomatic and
- 50:39Speaker 2: very gracious. And she said, well, President Trump and I
- 50:41Speaker 2: have a good relationship and I still admire what he's
- 50:44Speaker 2: doing for the country. And she started talking to his
- 50:46Speaker 2: accomplice and he starts yelling at her. Cut the crap,
- 50:49Speaker 2: he said. You're not his press secretary anymore. I'm asking
- 50:53Speaker 2: you what happened when you got fired. Well, she didn't
- 50:57Speaker 2: really want to talk about it. He said, you're dodging
- 50:58Speaker 2: the question. Well, she's being gracious. He said, it was
- 51:02Speaker 2: very nice to me. He was very kind to me
- 51:04Speaker 2: and my family. And he's already saying that. Well, President
- 51:08Speaker 2: Trump has already revealed what he said. There's no reason
- 51:11Speaker 2: to do this. But that's Piers Morgan. He comes from
- 51:13Speaker 2: the British tabloid world where you try to create a sensation.
- 51:18Speaker 2: But what the hell is she doing on this show?
- 51:21Speaker 2: Stay home for a while. Stay home. You know, the
- 51:24Speaker 2: problem is when she was press secretary, it wasn't going well.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Then she did that infamous Hannity interview where she wasn't
- 51:30Speaker 2: good at all. And he was asking the tough questions
- 51:33Speaker 2: in a very nice way. I mean, it wasn't browbeating
- 51:36Speaker 2: or anything, but she didn't handle it that well, and
- 51:38Speaker 2: that helped speed up her departure. So since she's not
- 51:42Speaker 2: good at these interviews, don't do them. Don't do them.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Write a book, write an article, do something else, but
- 51:49Speaker 2: don't do these interviews and give the host a chance
- 51:52Speaker 2: to just beat you up or showboat for the cameras.
- 51:56Speaker 2: So Kamala Harris, one of the great goofballs of the world,
- 52:02Speaker 2: Kamala Harris, is now running around speaking to Democrats, advising them.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Kamala Harris, though, is warning Democrats against impeaching Trump. If
- 52:16Speaker 2: somehow the Democrats take control, she said, don't spend all
- 52:21Speaker 2: day impeaching. Use the energy and resources for something better.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Get something done for America.
- 52:29Speaker 15: Wow.
- 52:31Speaker 2: Believe Kamala Harris giving common sense advice. But she also said,
- 52:35Speaker 2: hold everybody accountable. These Republicans are ruthless, ruthless. Do it
- 52:41Speaker 2: to them. Hold everybody accountable. You know, actually, the Republicans
- 52:45Speaker 2: aren't so ruthless when it comes to hearings in the House.
- 52:48Speaker 2: You know, you watch those Democrats when they hold hearings. Oh,
- 52:52Speaker 2: my God, they are brutal. There's a million soundbites that night.
- 52:56Speaker 2: But Republicans, they're not so good at doing hearings. But
- 52:59Speaker 2: she says, go after everybody. Go after Pete Hegseth, who
- 53:01Speaker 2: I think is hollowing out our military, politicizing our military.
- 53:06Speaker 2: You know, you can't really go after Hegseth for that
- 53:09Speaker 2: because in the last year that he's been there, we
- 53:13Speaker 2: have pulled off the most successful military operations in history,
- 53:18Speaker 2: from the Maduro capture to the taking out that nuclear
- 53:21Speaker 2: mountain in Iran. And he's pulled off some amazing stuff.
- 53:25Speaker 2: The rescue of the downed pilots in the middle of Iran.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Some amazing military operations. All successful on his watch. Hey,
- 53:34Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. Give
- 53:40Speaker 2: me a call, especially if you're a new caller. 800-321-0710.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios, the Mark Simone Show. Hey,
- 53:53Speaker 2: let's take some calls. Let's go to Tom in Delaware. Tom,
- 53:58Speaker 2: how you doing? Hey, Mark.
- 54:00Speaker 15: Thanks for taking my call. I've been here about two
- 54:03Speaker 15: and a half years. I moved from New York after
- 54:05Speaker 15: 68 years living there. And I just want to make
- 54:08Speaker 15: a comment on the governor race in Maryland. The governor
- 54:12Speaker 15: there is Wes Moore.
- 54:13Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 54:14Speaker 2: And if you drive.
- 54:15Speaker 15: Along Route 50, you can see the signs.
- 54:17Speaker 2: You know, more is less. No more lies. They really
- 54:21Speaker 2: trash him. But life in Delaware is good. What do
- 54:24Speaker 2: you do down there in Delaware?
- 54:27Speaker 15: I'm retired, so in the summer I try to go
- 54:30Speaker 15: to the beach. I'm three miles from Bethany Beach.
- 54:33Speaker 17: All right.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Beautiful beaches. What do you do in the winter down there?
- 54:37Speaker 15: Well, a lot of people socialize and drink and, you know,
- 54:41Speaker 15: party and carry on.
- 54:42Speaker 17: All right.
- 54:43Speaker 2: That's not bad. That's not bad. Thanks for calling. Sounds good.
- 54:47Speaker 2: You notice when you say to somebody in Delaware, what
- 54:49Speaker 2: do you do down there? You get, well, it's not
- 54:54Speaker 2: like New York. You're missing a lot of fun. when
- 54:57Speaker 2: you leave New York. Let's go to Randall in Maryland.
- 55:00Speaker 2: We were just talking about Maryland. Randall, how you doing?
- 55:03Speaker 21: Good, Mark. Boy, you're right about Les Moore. We don't
- 55:07Speaker 21: like Les Moore whatsoever. He's a fraud. But I wanted
- 55:13Speaker 21: to thank you for bringing up Dan Rather again. You
- 55:17Speaker 21: called him the father of fake news. That is right.
- 55:21Speaker 21: And didn't he also... Called the election prematurely before the
- 55:28Speaker 21: West Coast for John Kerry.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, he was always fake news. Always fake news.
- 55:34Speaker 2: He did that in the... He tried to tamper with
- 55:37Speaker 2: the Bush-Clinton election with his fake economy and crisis reports.
- 55:42Speaker 2: And then he finally went too far.
- 55:44Speaker 23: And he got caught.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he finally went too far.
- 55:46Speaker 21: He got caught.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Actually using forged documents and... He was so bad at it,
- 55:52Speaker 2: and he got caught so badly, even CBS had to
- 55:54Speaker 2: fire the guy. It was always a little slant to
- 55:58Speaker 2: the news, but he went into total fraud fake news.
- 56:02Speaker 2: You can thank Dan Rather for that. It says, Al
- 56:07Speaker 2: used to be one of our most frequent callers. Is
- 56:10Speaker 2: this Al Harris?
- 56:12Speaker 25: Mark, good morning. It's a pleasure. It's a pleasure, Mark. Mark,
- 56:17Speaker 25: you want to hear something Monday?
- 56:18Speaker 2: I'm home. Is this really Al?
- 56:21Speaker 25: It's, Mark, I had surgery. My voice isn't the same, Mark. Mark,
- 56:28Speaker 25: Monday morning, I'm listening to you. About 10 o'clock, I
- 56:31Speaker 25: had company say, shut the radio off. My buddy calls
- 56:35Speaker 25: me up and goes, Al, you want Mark Simone? We're
- 56:37Speaker 25: asking for you this and that. I tell him he's
- 56:40Speaker 25: joking around. So I finally, the last couple of days.
- 56:45Speaker 2: I used to call all the time. Al was your former,
- 56:47Speaker 2: what did you do for a living?
- 56:49Speaker 25: I have a correction.
- 56:50Speaker 2: All right, that's right. Did I ever meet you?
- 56:54Speaker 25: Oh, a couple of times. Mark, I got pictures of
- 56:56Speaker 25: you all over my house.
- 56:57Speaker 2: All right, this really is Alvin. Okay, I believe you.
- 56:59Speaker 19: Oh, yeah.
- 57:00Speaker 25: Sure, Mark. Mark, you know something? I went into the
- 57:05Speaker 25: hospital three years ago for a spine surgery. I was
- 57:08Speaker 25: supposed to be in and out in two days. I
- 57:10Speaker 25: was in there five months. They severed my artery. I'm
- 57:14Speaker 25: on a feeding tube.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 57:17Speaker 25: I'm walking around with a cane, yada, yada, yada. But, Mark,
- 57:20Speaker 25: I have not stopped listening to you.
- 57:22Speaker 18: All right.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Well, you sound good, Al. You know, your old voice,
- 57:25Speaker 2: it was higher, lighter. I like this voice. I like
- 57:29Speaker 2: this voice, but you sound tougher this way, Al. Pretty good.
- 57:32Speaker 22: Yeah, Mark.
- 57:33Speaker 25: You know, something just, you know, I'll never forget the
- 57:36Speaker 25: first phone call they gave you. It was about 15
- 57:39Speaker 25: years ago. You were talking about Chick-fil-A.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:43Speaker 25: And I said they built one in Amityville. And I go,
- 57:48Speaker 25: it's a brothel, you know, Chick-fil-A.
- 57:50Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 57:51Speaker 25: That was my first joke.
- 57:52Speaker 2: I forgot he used to make these bad jokes. But
- 57:54Speaker 2: he's a nice guy.
- 57:55Speaker 25: But, Mark, thank you and your callers. Your callers for
- 57:59Speaker 25: remembering me.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Everybody remembers you.
- 58:02Speaker 25: It blew my mind, Mark.
- 58:04Speaker 23: It really did.
- 58:05Speaker 25: Hey, Mark, on the serious side, you know, you mentioned
- 58:09Speaker 25: Tony Coppola. You know, I put him on a couple
- 58:13Speaker 25: of times. Just, you know, he comes off like a
- 58:15Speaker 25: nice guy. Very nice looking. The other day when I
- 58:19Speaker 25: saw him interviewing Trump. You know, the snake came out.
- 58:23Speaker 2: No, no. Well, they're all crazy left-wingers.
- 58:25Speaker 25: I know.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Hey, Al, we got to go. But you sound good, Al.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Thank you. It's good to hear from you. You sound okay.
- 58:31Speaker 25: Nice talking to you. Great voice, Mark. Thank you.
- 58:33Speaker 17: Bye-bye.
- 58:34Speaker 2: All right. Good to hear from you. Take care. Yeah,
- 58:37Speaker 2: he was one of our most frequent callers years ago.
- 58:39Speaker 2: Sounds different now, but he sounds good. He sounds good. Anyway,
- 58:43Speaker 2: we got, oh, coming up, the great Jimmy Fallon. He
- 58:48Speaker 2: does one of the funniest shows you'll ever hear. It's
- 58:50Speaker 2: every night at 9 o'clock. Here on WOR, he does
- 58:53Speaker 2: the best late-night show on television. Saturday nights on the
- 58:57Speaker 2: Fox News Channel. We'll talk to him next on 710WOR.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Let's get the latest news. Here's Daria Albinger.
- 59:04Speaker 17: Hey, Mark.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Sunny and warmer today with a high of 68 degrees.
- 59:07Speaker 1: New Jersey lawmakers sent a letter. to New Jersey Transit.
- 59:12Speaker 1: They say, we'll be understanding, to a point. Three of them,
- 59:15Speaker 1: representing Bergen, Passaic, and Essex County, say they know the
- 59:18Speaker 1: project to modernize the Port Authority bus terminal is going
- 59:20Speaker 1: to add to the commute time. But the agency says,
- 59:23Speaker 1: they say the transit agency must do all that they
- 59:26Speaker 1: can to minimize those delays. Five days to the midterms.
- 59:30Speaker 1: President Trump and former President Obama will be back out
- 59:33Speaker 1: on the campaign trail. The president in South Carolina today,
- 59:36Speaker 1: the former president in Georgia. Unemployment claims took a big
- 59:39Speaker 1: drop last week. The Labor Department says requests for benefits
- 59:42Speaker 1: dropped by about 1,000 from the week before. Mayor Mamdani
- 59:46Speaker 1: admitting that he and his friends used the NYPD Training
- 59:49Speaker 1: Academy gym for late-night pickup basketball games. He said he
- 59:53Speaker 1: was told it was okay. He said if there's a problem,
- 59:55Speaker 1: he'll find somewhere else to play. On Wall Street, the
- 59:57Speaker 1: Dow is down 114 points and NASDAQ is off 314
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: and the S & P is off 19. Next news,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: 11 o'clock, bulletins at once. Wake up with Curtis Lewa
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: and Larry Menti. Six to nine weekdays. I'm Daria Albinger
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: on 710 WOR.
- 1:00:12Speaker 26: I'm meteorologist Ken Boone with your WOR forecast from the
- 1:00:14Speaker 26: Weather Channel. Pleasant weather for us here today. Sunny skies
- 1:00:17Speaker 26: and warmer closing in on 70 this afternoon. 10 plus
- 1:00:20Speaker 26: degrees above average. Fair to partly cloudy skies tonight, middle
- 1:00:22Speaker 26: to upper 50s, sunny and breezy for tomorrow. Again, temperatures
- 1:00:25Speaker 26: above average with highs near 70. Cooler this weekend. Currently
- 1:00:29Speaker 26: 56 at WOR.
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: Now 9 till noon weekday.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Smart Simone.
- 1:00:35Speaker 11: Only on 710 WOR.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Well, Jimmy Fela, he does a great show here every night,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: 9 to midnight. It's really funny, interesting. I don't know
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: how he keeps it up for three hours, but he does.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: And then on Saturday nights, he does the best late-night
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: show on television, Saturday nights at 10, Fox News Channel.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: The finest monologue in all of television. Make sure you
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: watch it. Jimmy Fela, how you doing?
- 1:01:01Speaker 11: Good.
- 1:01:01Speaker 17: I survived a wild night in Fairfield, New Jersey with
- 1:01:04Speaker 17: the WOR listeners last night.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I heard you sold out the whole place.
- 1:01:11Speaker 17: Yeah, Kachina Calandra. You know you've made it when you're
- 1:01:14Speaker 17: on the breadstick circuit, you know?
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:17Speaker 17: A lot of guys wanted to get on Carson. They
- 1:01:19Speaker 17: wanted to get on the Vegas Strip. I wanted to
- 1:01:21Speaker 17: get on Route 46. And a ship has sailed in.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: It was great.
- 1:01:26Speaker 10: We loved it.
- 1:01:26Speaker 17: Good, rowdy crowd. You cannot offend a New Jersey audience.
- 1:01:30Speaker 17: And believe me, I tried everything. It didn't happen.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: But, you know, you travel the country every week and
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: you play the biggest venues. Isn't it kind of nice
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: to be a more intimate kind of club?
- 1:01:41Speaker 17: Yes, because that's how you start out as a comic.
- 1:01:44Speaker 17: You're not playing 2,000 and 3,000 seat theaters. You usually
- 1:01:47Speaker 17: are partnering with a restaurant to do like a comedy night.
- 1:01:51Speaker 17: And the funny thing about last night, and this is
- 1:01:54Speaker 17: what was different about it, is obviously it's a much
- 1:01:57Speaker 17: classier venue than I started out in. But also, the
- 1:02:00Speaker 17: customers knew there was going to be a comedy show, okay?
- 1:02:03Speaker 17: One of the things they do in Manhattan.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: And they do a little bit out on Long.
- 1:02:06Speaker 17: Island is sometimes you'll show up to a night of
- 1:02:09Speaker 17: spaghetti thinking you're going to have a quiet dinner, and
- 1:02:11Speaker 17: then you find out two bites in that you're in
- 1:02:13Speaker 17: the front row of a 35 comic extravaganza. So it
- 1:02:18Speaker 17: wasn't an ambush. It was a premeditated attack, and everybody
- 1:02:21Speaker 17: was in on it, and it was so great.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: So shout out to WOR. They did a good job
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: on that. Because of you. You did it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 17: I guess.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Let's talk seriously about the Cheesecake Factory. I got the
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: impression that Obama did not really understand what Cheesecake Factory
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: means to Americans, real middle America. Number one.
- 1:02:42Speaker 17: Number two, his apology of, he said... You know, I
- 1:02:46Speaker 17: have two daughters. I hung out at the Cheesecake Factory.
- 1:02:49Speaker 17: That was my jam. He wasn't going to the Cheesecake Factory, okay?
- 1:02:54Speaker 17: Or they'd be putting up pictures to defend him, you know?
- 1:02:57Speaker 17: They don't have those pictures because he wasn't going because
- 1:03:00Speaker 17: he is an elitist snob. I should tell you this,
- 1:03:04Speaker 17: you know, because everybody always says, well, you know, Michelle
- 1:03:07Speaker 17: Obama is going to run someday. She's not going to
- 1:03:09Speaker 17: run someday because she hates everybody. She doesn't want to
- 1:03:12Speaker 17: be around little people like us on the campaign trail,
- 1:03:15Speaker 17: and neither does he. So when he showed up and
- 1:03:17Speaker 17: did his little– he does his little routine and he
- 1:03:20Speaker 17: bangs on Trump and everything else, and the crowd loves it.
- 1:03:22Speaker 17: But you know who doesn't love it? Everybody else. Like,
- 1:03:26Speaker 17: Obama is a star if you're in the room. But
- 1:03:29Speaker 17: if you look at his endorsement record, okay, Obama's presidential
- 1:03:32Speaker 17: endorsements have clothed half the people in Honduras. There's President
- 1:03:37Speaker 17: Hillary hoodies. There's, you know, Kamala Harris 2024 first email.
- 1:03:42Speaker 17: We broke the glass ceiling. It's all down there.
- 1:03:44Speaker 10: They're walking around in it right now.
- 1:03:45Speaker 17: They're wearing Tampa Bay Rays World Series championship outfits as
- 1:03:48Speaker 17: we speak. That's what Obama does.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: Yeah. That's a good point. There would be photos of
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: him in the Cheesecake Factory if he'd ever been there. Totally.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: He must experience this, though, with some of these, you know, Washington, D.C.,
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Upper East Side, Southampton crowd. They've never been to real America.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: They've never heard of the Olive Garden. They don't know
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: what it is. They think the Cheesecake Factory is a
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: little store that sells cheesecakes. They think that's all it is.
- 1:04:18Speaker 17: You know one of my favorite things, because you're right
- 1:04:20Speaker 17: about that, They don't travel, you know, what they consider
- 1:04:23Speaker 17: to be the flyover states or actually, you know, the
- 1:04:26Speaker 17: best states. You're never going to walk out the door
- 1:04:29Speaker 17: in Finley, Ohio, and see some wizard with no pants on,
- 1:04:33Speaker 17: you know, sitting on a park bench like you might
- 1:04:35Speaker 17: here in New York. And they don't realize that those
- 1:04:38Speaker 17: people culture-wise have everything we do now. In the age
- 1:04:41Speaker 17: of the internet, everybody has the same restaurants. Everybody has
- 1:04:43Speaker 17: the same stores. It's all the same. But the most
- 1:04:46Speaker 17: offensive thing New York coastal elites ever did regarding the
- 1:04:50Speaker 17: Cheesecake Factory is, do you remember when Bloomberg started slapping
- 1:04:53Speaker 17: calories on all the menus? I was like, hey, Bloomberg, okay,
- 1:04:58Speaker 17: nobody was counting calories at a place called the Cheesecake Factory.
- 1:05:03Speaker 17: It was implied in the bargain that I might be
- 1:05:07Speaker 17: eating a little unhealthy tonight.
- 1:05:09Speaker 19: Okay?
- 1:05:10Speaker 17: I mean, come on, man.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: I love the Cheesecake Factory, but like you.
- 1:05:14Speaker 22: Me too.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: You look at the menu, I knew it was calories,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: but sometimes like 3,800 calories on one entree. Who knew
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: it was that bad? But it's worth it, isn't it?
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: It's good stuff. Guys like you, Hannity, you're different from
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: people on MS Now or CNN. They just live in
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: the bubble. But guys like you, Hannity, all these people,
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: you travel the country. You've been in a diner in Pittsburgh.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: You've been in an IHOP in the middle of Nebraska.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: So it's an experience. None of those Democrats have. They
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: never talk to real people, do they?
- 1:05:49Speaker 17: No, they don't even talk to their staff. They don't
- 1:05:51Speaker 17: even talk to their coworkers. Like, you know what's interesting
- 1:05:55Speaker 17: about Fox, okay? You can throw on Hannity at 9 o'clock,
- 1:05:58Speaker 17: and you might see a Fox & Friends host on
- 1:06:00Speaker 17: there as a guest, meaning a morning guest. You might
- 1:06:02Speaker 17: see a midday guest. We all do each other's shows.
- 1:06:05Speaker 17: There's a little more of a community here. You've never
- 1:06:07Speaker 17: turned on Morning Joe and seen Rachel Maddow on the panel.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: That's true. You know what I mean?
- 1:06:12Speaker 17: You're never going to turn on Rachel Maddow and see
- 1:06:14Speaker 17: Mika Brzezinski doing a nighttime hit. Yeah. Because they all
- 1:06:17Speaker 17: think they're the center of the universe, and they hate everybody.
- 1:06:21Speaker 17: So you can't imagine how they feel about going out
- 1:06:24Speaker 17: to Long Island to the Embassy Diner and, you know,
- 1:06:27Speaker 17: meeting Gus and one of the guys over there serving
- 1:06:29Speaker 17: you good Greek food. Oh, my God.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: You know what I mean, Gus?
- 1:06:32Speaker 22: These people are monsters.
- 1:06:33Speaker 17: Monsters.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallon, Ilan Omar. Now they find out this is
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: just breaking her real name, Dan Sullivan. So maybe she
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: could join us too.
- 1:06:45Speaker 19: You got me.
- 1:06:46Speaker 23: Good job.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: That's amazing. So, hey, this is Dan Sullivan. Trump is right.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: These people should be arrested for this fraud, shouldn't they?
- 1:06:55Speaker 17: Totally. But I want to be upfront with the audience.
- 1:06:57Speaker 17: We tried to do this in 2024. We wanted to
- 1:07:00Speaker 17: find another Kamala Harris, but we couldn't get into the
- 1:07:02Speaker 17: AA meetings.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: It was tricky.
- 1:07:05Speaker 17: But yeah, no, it's a definite scam.
- 1:07:07Speaker 22: And my favorite thing.
- 1:07:08Speaker 17: About it is, Every Democrat has spent the last week
- 1:07:11Speaker 17: telling us Trump's going to interfere, he's going to send
- 1:07:13Speaker 17: in ICE, they're going to confiscate the ballots. They constantly
- 1:07:17Speaker 17: accuse us of cheating while they're actually cheating. They put
- 1:07:21Speaker 17: two Dan Sullivans, and I saw a girl on CNN
- 1:07:23Speaker 17: last night, okay? She said- Well, there's a history of this,
- 1:07:26Speaker 17: because if you remember when RFK was running against Biden,
- 1:07:30Speaker 17: the Republicans supported RFK. I'm like, but they have two
- 1:07:33Speaker 17: different names. One is Joe Biden. The other is RFK Jr.
- 1:07:37Speaker 17: The only person who wouldn't know the difference is Biden.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Now, apparently Republicans wanted to do it, but they couldn't
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: find a guy named Mohammed Abdul El-Sayed. It's not easy
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: to do.
- 1:07:50Speaker 21: That's too funny.
- 1:07:51Speaker 17: You know, wouldn't it be easier at this point if
- 1:07:54Speaker 17: the media just did tell us, like, which terror groups
- 1:07:57Speaker 17: he doesn't have ties to? It's like he collected them
- 1:08:01Speaker 17: like Pokemon cards, man. You got to catch them all.
- 1:08:03Speaker 10: This is crazy.
- 1:08:05Speaker 19: Wow.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Hey, in New York, Bruce Blakeman looks very, in the
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: real polls, not the fake ones, the real polls, it
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: looks deadlocked. You think he can actually win?
- 1:08:15Speaker 17: Yes, he's on my show this weekend. He's going to
- 1:08:17Speaker 17: be on Saturday night. And, you know, let's hope, you know,
- 1:08:21Speaker 17: people actually tune in with an open mind, because if
- 1:08:24Speaker 17: you listen to him talk. You go like, oh, this
- 1:08:27Speaker 17: guy could actually lead the state. If you listen to
- 1:08:29Speaker 17: Kathy Hochul, you realize she's only governor because she was
- 1:08:32Speaker 17: the one chick in Albany that was too annoying for Cuomo.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: To hit on. You know, she doesn't know what she's doing.
- 1:08:38Speaker 17: And she's like following Mom Donnie now. Now she wants to,
- 1:08:40Speaker 17: you know, every tax, every dumb spending initiative because she
- 1:08:44Speaker 17: wants to be on the right side of Mom Donnie, which,
- 1:08:45Speaker 17: of course, for the state is the worst thing that
- 1:08:47Speaker 17: could possibly happen. So. Let's hope the Jimmy fail-a-bounce gets
- 1:08:51Speaker 17: old Brucie Blakeman over the finish line.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so watch him on Saturday night. It's a great
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: show every Saturday night at 10 o'clock. And can people
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: be in the audience? Can they get tickets? Are there
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: still some for... Yep. Tickets are always free.
- 1:09:03Speaker 17: If you want to come to a taping, we tape
- 1:09:04Speaker 17: Friday night, and the tickets are free at foxacrossamerica.com.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Come down this weekend.
- 1:09:10Speaker 17: You'll see the governor. You're going to see a lot
- 1:09:12Speaker 17: of Fox people because it's the midterm, so they send
- 1:09:14Speaker 17: the adults out. I can't have my comedy buddies on
- 1:09:17Speaker 17: the Make Balloon Animals this weekend. It's going to be
- 1:09:19Speaker 17: a lot of adults, but it's going to be a
- 1:09:20Speaker 17: good show.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: We're fired up for it. We can't wait. Yeah, it's
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: a great free date if you want to bring somebody
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Friday evenings, but the tickets are free. Go to Fox
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: across America.com. And then the radio show is every weeknight,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: nine to midnight, but it's really funny. But how do
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: you keep that up for three hours? There's nonstop jokes
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: for three hours. You know what, man?
- 1:09:41Speaker 17: I'm just in it.
- 1:09:42Speaker 8: And you've got to remember this.
- 1:09:43Speaker 17: I'm used to keeping it up for 12 hours.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: I was a taxi driver.
- 1:09:47Speaker 17: And as a taxi driver, you've got to be entertaining
- 1:09:48Speaker 17: for 12 hours or somebody's going to hit you in
- 1:09:50Speaker 17: the head with a thermos, choke you out on the
- 1:09:53Speaker 17: West Side Highway. So for me, I'm working like a
- 1:09:56Speaker 17: quarter of a shift right now.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: This doesn't bother me at all. When you were a
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: taxi driver, weren't people a little shocked? They get in
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: the cab and they find out you speak English and
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: you've got a real personality? That's unusual.
- 1:10:06Speaker 17: Yeah. Can I tell you something? People would like literally
- 1:10:09Speaker 17: like want to want you to like call their parents
- 1:10:12Speaker 17: and leave them a voicemail. Like you wouldn't believe what
- 1:10:14Speaker 17: I saw in New York City.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: So you're like your own little tourist attraction. You're right
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: about that.
- 1:10:20Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: Hey, the marathon is this Sunday. That is one of
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: the stupidest sports. I mean, I can see being a
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: great golfer, learning how to play tennis. But learning how
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: to run for 25 miles, where would you need this skill?
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: I mean, it's a strange thing.
- 1:10:35Speaker 17: Well, you know, the way Mom Donnie's going with the police,
- 1:10:38Speaker 17: learning how to run might be a good thing. Maybe
- 1:10:42Speaker 17: not for 25 miles, but if you could make it
- 1:10:44Speaker 17: across the park in one piece, you'd be an anomaly
- 1:10:46Speaker 17: these days.
- 1:10:47Speaker 22: We'll take that.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: If Blakeman wins, he can kind of keep a lid
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: on some of the Mom Donnie nonsense. Also, it'd be
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: a great thing in this anti-Semitism world world now to
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: have a Jewish governor, wouldn't it?
- 1:11:02Speaker 17: Oh my gosh, it's what we need just because, you know,
- 1:11:05Speaker 17: what they're getting wrong, and there's really no politician who's
- 1:11:08Speaker 17: doing a perfect job of explaining this, is everybody on
- 1:11:12Speaker 17: the Mamdani side of this conflict is an idiot. Okay,
- 1:11:15Speaker 17: like think about right now, the people are yelling free Palestine, okay? Palestine,
- 1:11:20Speaker 17: well Gaza, is currently run by people who don't hold elections. OK,
- 1:11:25Speaker 17: so it's not Israel that's keeping them under wraps. It
- 1:11:28Speaker 17: is Hamas, the terror group, you idiots. I'm like, so
- 1:11:31Speaker 17: when you say free Palestine, you maybe want to follow
- 1:11:33Speaker 17: it up with from who? Israel ain't in control of it,
- 1:11:36Speaker 17: you know, and maybe Blakeman could do that. And, you know,
- 1:11:38Speaker 17: I was not supposed to be the voice of reason
- 1:11:41Speaker 17: as a guy who went to Nassau Community College.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: But here we are.
- 1:11:44Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: Two state solution. Didn't we just try that? Look how
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: it worked out. It wasn't so successful. So listen to
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallon tonight, 9 to midnight. What are you going
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: to be doing on tonight's show?
- 1:11:55Speaker 17: Well, because we're in that homestretch preview of the new
- 1:11:59Speaker 17: White House press secretary, you're probably going to hear Caroline
- 1:12:01Speaker 17: Sunshine and Anna Kelly, two people who were talked about
- 1:12:04Speaker 17: quite a bit as the next replacement for Katie Zachariah
- 1:12:09Speaker 17: and her mighty one-day tour de force. These girls got
- 1:12:12Speaker 17: big heels to fill. You better wish them luck.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: That's a good show tonight. Listen to Jimmy Fallon. Every weeknight.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: I'm telling you, you're going to love the show. You're
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: going to get addicted to it every weeknight, 9 to
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: midnight here on WOR. Make sure you watch his TV shows,
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: the best late-night show on television, Saturday nights at 10,
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Fox News Channel. Jimmy Faleth, thanks for being with us.
- 1:12:35Speaker 15: You're the best, Mark.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: See you.
- 1:12:36Speaker 22: All right.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Take care. Hey, don't forget, coming up at noon, Buck Sexton,
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Clay Travis. That's a great show every day. 3 o'clock,
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: you've got the most listened to radio show in America.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Sean Hannity, Jesse Kelly, 6 o'clock, and then, of course,
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: 9 o'clock, Jimmy Fallon, you just heard. That's all on 710WOR.
- 1:12:59Speaker 5: Back to Mark Simone.
- 1:13:01Speaker 11: On WOR.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Well, a busy day. President Trump in South Carolina right now.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: As you know, he's been... just crisscrossing the nation for
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: the last couple of weeks, state after state after state
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: after state. So South Carolina now heads back to the
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: White House, meetings throughout the afternoon. Then he's got a
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: couple of more rallies, but they'll be done, televised rallies. Well,
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: he'll do it from the White House. Then tonight, Halloween
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: stuff at the White House, the Halloween party, kids, all
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: that sort of stuff. It's going to be a beautiful
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: day here. It's going to be sunny in the 60s,
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: upper 60s. And it'll be like that the next few days. Now,
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: don't forget, Saturday night at 2 a.m., we go off
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: daylight saving time. Saturday night, 2 a.m., you set all
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: the clocks back one hour to 1 a.m. Starting Sunday,
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: it'll be dark out by 5 o'clock. Sunday's also the marathon.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: That's going to be a messy day here in New York.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: Election day is just five days away. Coming up Tuesday,
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: it's election day. Get out and vote. Do the early voting.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: It's the easiest thing to do. Do it today, tomorrow,
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: over the weekend. Got one more hour to go. Back
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: after the news on 710WOR.
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: The Mark Simone Show, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Hey, it's hour number three. Now, President Trump in South Carolina.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: He's been traveling all over the country. He's back there
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: to do a rally today. For Darlene Graham, that's the
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: sister of Lindsey Graham, who's running for his Senate seat now.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: She's not the greatest candidate, but she's new to all
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: of this. But Trump has gone back today. I think
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: it's the third time he's come there to do rally
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: for her. Now, if you're watching the fake news, if
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: you're watching MSNOW or CNN, they'll tell you, well, it's
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: obvious that they're in trouble in South Carolina. If he
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: has to go back there three times, why, it's obvious
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: that they're in real trouble. It's actually the other way around.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: If he's coming back there again, it means now they're
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: not using the fake public polls. They would use the deadly, accurate,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: real polls. If he's gone back there, it means she's
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: got a good chance. If it was hopeless, they wouldn't
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: go back there. That wouldn't look good for the president
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: who endorsed the candidate who's about to lose. So they
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: only go back if they see he's got a good chance.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: So obviously things don't look that bad for her. Otherwise,
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: he wouldn't be there for the third time today. These
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: rallies will continue on the weekend. He's going to go
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: crazy flying all over the country doing a million rallies.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: Election day five days from now. It's Tuesday, but do
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: the early voting. Get out and vote today or tomorrow
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: or Saturday. Much easier to do the early voting and
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: it'd be a big help. Don't wait till the last minute.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: Elon Omar is in real trouble. She's got some big,
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: heavyweight Washington, D.C. lawyers because it looks like they got
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: the goods on her. Marrying her brother, they got DNA,
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: they got all kinds of things. They got text messages,
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: they got documents, they got her old tweets. It looks
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: like they got her. She's in real trouble. And Elon Omar,
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: a petition was done by the House of Representatives. demanding
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: that President Trump, the Justice Department, drop the investigation, stop
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: weaponizing law enforcement. Well, 175 House Democrats signed the petition.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: But what's interesting is 40 Democrats refused to sign. 40
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: Democrats did not want to take Ilhan Omar aside. 40
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Democrats wanted to distance themselves from Ilhan Omar. That included
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Tom Swasey from Long Island, Laura Gillen, Josh Gottheimer, Speaker
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: of the House, former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi,
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: chose not to sign the document, not to sign the petition.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: How about that? Hakeem Jeffries, of course, signed it, but,
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: you know, he's kind of a goofball. But interesting how
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: many smarter Democrats refused to sign that thing. Hey, Hassan Piker,
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: this awful, awful anti-Semite, is now suing Scott Jennings, the
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: conservative CNN commentator. Scott Jennings also does a big radio
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: show that's heard all over the country. And I think
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: that's where the comments took place. Hassan Piker suing Scott
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Jennings for $ 73 million in damages. Uh, for apparently he
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: thinks that Jennings advocated, uh, Jennings claim that, uh, Hassan
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: Piker was for lynching black people. Uh, the complaint centers on, uh,
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Piker who said on his own stream, well, this is
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: a quote from Piker. He says, we need more Klansmen. Okay.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: Can we go back to a better time when lynchings
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: were happening? Well, if he said that, and that's the
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: quote from his thing and, uh, If that's what he said, well,
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: Jennings is right, and Piker should be the one getting
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: sued by everybody. But Piker is now saying he was
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: talking about a debate between black political commentators, and he
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: was making fun of a conservative saying that. So he's
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: claiming he wasn't saying that as himself. He was imitating
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: what he believes as a conservative. Of course, either way,
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: it's crazy. But he's claiming Jennings distorted the quote. So
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: we'll see where that lawsuit goes. The problem is in
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: the lawsuit, Jennings would be able to depose him, question him,
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: bring up all kinds of bad past stuff of Hassan Piker.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: Not going to look good for for piker you know
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: these ai data centers these massive massive data centers all
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: over the place well with the build the data center
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: it's not just an enormous building but it's got a
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: lot of stuff in it all kinds of state-of-the-art stuff
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: in there and that all is delivered by ships it
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: all comes to docks and criminals are ripping off the
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: shipments you remember watching the sopranos where they controlled the port.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: Remember the docks and the guy would say to Christopher,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: floor tiles, look at that, floor tiles. Oh, what's that
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: over there? High-speed cable, fiber optics. And they'd kind of
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: give a wink and it would all disappear. And was
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: that the Esplanade? I don't know. I can't remember all that.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: And then Johnny Sack would have to come in from
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: New York. I told you, no looting on that job. Remember,
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: there was one where you weren't supposed to take anything,
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: but what's his name? Parisi said to Stevie Van Zandt,
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: what do you think? And he goes, go ahead.
- 1:20:22Speaker 10: What?
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: You sure? I got your back. So apparently that's going
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: on now. $ 100 million in data center gear just in
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: the last few months went missing. Very expensive semiconductor chips.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: Fiber optic cables. servers, copper wire, Bitcoin mining machines. These
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: have all been disappearing. Now this is not, uh, Christopher and, uh,
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: the guys, uh, strong army. Apparently a lot of it
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: is done with all kinds of technology. They hack into systems,
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: get it delivered to the wrong place. They're using phony
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: driver's licenses and, uh, phony GPS coordinates to pull off
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: some of these highs. Some of it just out and
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: out stolen, but, uh, They also stole roughly a couple
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: million in custom-made modular power equipment. You've got to give
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: these mobsters credit. Boy, they keep up on all the
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: latest stuff. They change with the times. You know that
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: Coca-Cola has a strange relationship with Gen Z. Gen Z
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: has now taken to Diet Coke, and they're calling it
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: fridge cigarettes. What the hell does that mean? Well, I
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: guess they call it the, it's a midday thing. It's like,
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: you know, a lot of people go outside to have
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: a cigarette. You're not allowed to smoke in the office. So,
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: you know, you're addicted. You go out and you have
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: a cigarette. So they're calling Diet Coke fridge cigarettes. In
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: other words, it's kind of a thing when you're stressed
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: out in the office. Instead of a smoke break, you
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: get a Diet Coke out of the refrigerator. Instead of
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: the nicotine, you're basically swapping cigarettes. caffeine for the nicotine.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: So they asked the CEO of Coca-Cola and he said,
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: we embrace it. Yeah, no, it's fine. It's great for us. Actually,
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: they love it because it means a big resurgence in
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: Diet Coke among Gen Z. And he said he's happy.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: It's a brand that's like reinventing itself with the next
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: generation of consumers. Hey, you know, it's interesting. You go
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: down the East River, Manhattan, of course, the greatest skyline
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: And then over the last few years, you look across
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: in Queens. Oh, there were actually a couple of skyscrapers,
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: two or three. Now you go down there, there's a
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: whole skyline. Brooklyn has a skyline. Skyscrapers everywhere in Queens, Brooklyn.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: There's a new one that's the tallest, single tallest building
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: in Queens, 70 stories, 7-0, 70 stories, 823 feet high.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: It's the tallest building in Queens. It's got rental apartments,
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: and it turns out they just leased 90% of them.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: It's only been on the market nine months, but they've
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: leased 90% of them. Now, the good news is if
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: you're living on a skyscraper on the east side of Manhattan,
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: you look out and you get an incredible view of Queens.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: It's okay, I guess, but if you live in one
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: of these Queens skyscrapers, you got a better view because
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: you're looking at Manhattan. You're looking at all the iconic
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: Manhattan buildings on that skyline. Same thing if you're in
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: Fort Lee or Edgewater, if you're in New Jersey, all
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: those condos along the water. What a view you have
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: of the Manhattan skyline. Of course, the problem is you're
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: in New Jersey. All you get to do is look
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: at Manhattan. You're not there. And they tell you, well,
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: it's right over the bridge. Oh, I'm right next to Manhattan.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: Right over the bridge. Yeah, try to get over that
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: bridge in the middle of the day. Take you an
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: hour and a half to get over that bridge. Now, McDonald's,
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: I don't know why they're going so crazy trying everything.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: Just stick to what you do. But McDonald's keeps trying
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: to reinvent. Now they're getting in all kinds of special drinks.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: McDonald's will be unveiling these drinks at all the McDonald's.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: They all sound terrible. Look at this. A frosted cranberry
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: splash with Sprite. I'm not that crazy about Sprite. Cranberries,
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: I guess, are healthy. Frosted cranberries? What the hell is that?
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: It'll include a mix of orange and cranberry flavors, cold foam,
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: and red sprinkles. Does that sound good to anybody? I
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: don't think so. Then you can get the Red Bull
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: Cranberry Energizer, a high-caffeine sip for packed holiday schedules and
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: festive adventures. You see, this came out of the McDonald's
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: test kitchens. You know, they've got these labs at McDonald's.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: research and development. They come up with new stuff. Do
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: you know that everything they've ever come up with was
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: a disaster? The actual guys in the McDonald's research development lab,
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: every single thing they've ever come up with bombed, like
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: the McLean and all the things that worked. The Filet-O-Fish,
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: the Big Mac, those were invented by individual franchises who
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: put them on the menu and then McDonald's went nuts
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: saying you can't make up your own things. Well, it
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: turned out they were big sellers of The company took
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: them for everyone. So this is probably the research and
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: development guys. They also came up with cookie butter drinks.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: What the hell is a cookie butter drink? Which cover
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: both hot and cold coffee options with sugary flavor profiled,
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: topped with caramel cookie crumbs and sweet vanilla whipped cream.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Does this sound good to anybody? Sounds horrible. President Trump...
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: really going after Obama. Now, Obama made those Cheesecake Factory claims.
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: He's going after for that. But he also started making
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: fun of, you know, Obama making fun of Trump's decorating skill,
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: which is a joke because Obama just built the single
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: ugliest building ever seen. But Trump going after Obama's eating habits.
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: You know, one thing about Trump, an American can relate
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: to a guy. Do you know what Trump has when
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: he goes to McDonald's? Do you know what his standard
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: order is? I mean, I admire this. I could never
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: do it. His standard order is two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fishes,
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: and a large chocolate milkshake. That's almost 3,000 calories. I
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: would love to have that every time, but I could
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: never do it. I like the Big Mac. I could
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: have that. I could have a Filet-O-Fish. I can't have both,
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: and I can't have two of both. But he does it,
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: and he said, he's not wrong about this, Obama orders
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: a piece of lettuce, and it has to be a
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: perfect piece of lettuce. And he cuts up the lettuce
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: and eats it slowly. It's kind of true. Remember when
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: Obama was in the White House and they found out
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: at night his dessert after dinner, he would watch TV.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: His dessert was seven almonds. Not five, not six, not eight.
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: That was his thing every night. Seven almonds. Now, I
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: like almonds, but like you, you know, I rip open
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: the bag and have 30 of them. Seven almonds. What else?
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: Joe Scarborough really going after Elon Musk. Now, Musk was attacking,
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: you know, Musk has been donating hundreds of millions to
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: the midterm election to Republican candidates. I think he's up
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: to 500 million all over the last year or two
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: he's been donating. So when they come after him, he
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: points out the Democrats have 30 guys doing that, especially
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: George Soros. He's given a billion dollars. George Soros, a
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: Scarborough is going after Musk saying it's obviously anti-Semitic. Why
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: else would he go after Soros? Because it's Soros. It's
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: a guy who's tried to bring down countries. He's destroyed currencies.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: Soros is a convicted felon. There's a lot wrong with Soros.
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: He is financing riots. He's financing Antifa, all that stuff.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: I know he runs it through three other funds to
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: launder it. But he's also spent a fortune getting the
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: world's worst DAs elected, like Alvin Bragg, those types that
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: let all the criminals loose. So that's why you go
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: after Soros. It has nothing to do with anti-Semitism. In fact, Soros.
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: has quite a history, especially as a young guy, of
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: anti-Semitic activities. Hey, we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is.
- 1:28:52Speaker 10: The number.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: Hey, if you're a new caller, we always love hearing
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: from new callers. Wherever you are in the country, give
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: us a call.
- 1:28:58Speaker 10: 800- 321-0710.
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: What's better than two hours of Mark Simone?
- 1:29:06Speaker 23: Three.
- 1:29:06Speaker 11: The Mark Simone Show. Now nine till noon weekdays.
- 1:29:12Speaker 18: 710WOR.
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Ron in Smithtown,
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: Long Island. Ron, how you doing?
- 1:29:20Speaker 23: Yeah, hi, Mark. This is for the two and a
- 1:29:25Speaker 23: half million senior drivers in New York State, both Republicans
- 1:29:28Speaker 23: and Democrats. Did you know that Governor Hochul, if re-elected,
- 1:29:32Speaker 23: plans to make all senior drivers as young as 65
- 1:29:36Speaker 23: be retested every three years, and those over 85 every year,
- 1:29:41Speaker 23: even if they have perfect driving records?
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I don't know if that's a bad idea.
- 1:29:48Speaker 23: This has been in the works for a year already,
- 1:29:50Speaker 23: but they delayed starting it until after the election.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: Well, I don't know if she's really going to do
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: that or she'll ever get that passed, but she is
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: doing it.
- 1:29:55Speaker 23: Florida's doing it.
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Florida, they should do it. You ever drive
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: in Florida?
- 1:29:59Speaker 23: Yes, I had a house there.
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: Now, you live in Long Island. She's going to do
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: the congestion pricing everywhere. You'll have it on Northern Boulevard.
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: You'll have it everywhere. You'll have it on Jericho Turnpike.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: You're going to have it everywhere. It's going to be everywhere.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: So a lot of reasons to vote against Kathy Hochul.
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: Do it today. Do the early voting. Go out and
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: vote against her. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 1:30:26Speaker 10: Good morning, Mark.
- 1:30:27Speaker 17: I'm doing very well, thank you.
- 1:30:29Speaker 27: Mark, in the nostalgia department, I remember back in the
- 1:30:32Speaker 27: day the hot Christmas toys, such as Cabbage Patch Dolls,
- 1:30:36Speaker 27: Rubik's Cube, Care Bear, Furby, Beanie Babies. My question is,
- 1:30:43Speaker 27: in some cases, fights would break out in stores because
- 1:30:46Speaker 27: there wasn't enough.
- 1:30:48Speaker 22: Has this craze stopped?
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: Well, yeah. Now, you know, you order online. In the
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: old days, it was a mom-and-pop store. They didn't stock enough.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: Now you order it online. Of course, Amazon has plenty
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: of it. Rubik's Cube. I always had one of those.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: I could never do it. I could never get anywhere
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: with it. I mean, anybody can actually finish a Rubik's Cube.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: Something is wrong with you. You know what? Just go
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: be on Jeopardy. Stop bothering people. But it looks good.
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: It's a nice little decorating thing, a Rubik's Cube somewhere.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: Let's go to Barbie in New York. Barbie, how you doing?
- 1:31:20Speaker 18: Hi, Mark.
- 1:31:22Speaker 10: Mark, why do you always say Obama is a good speaker?
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: Oh, he's a great speaker.
- 1:31:30Speaker 10: He sounds like a babbling idiot.
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: I hate to break it to you. He's quite an orator.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: He's pretty good at it. I mean, everything he's saying
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: might be a lie or crazy, but powerful orator. That's
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: how he got elected president. This guy never had a
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: job in his life, and he's president of the United States. Oh,
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: he was a senator, but only for 143 days did
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: he actually serve in the Senate. The guy went from
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: nowhere to president just by being a great speaker. Let's
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: go to Sharon in New Jersey. Sharon, how you doing?
- 1:32:00Speaker 14: Hi, good morning, Mark. Thanks for taking my call. And
- 1:32:02Speaker 14: I am a big fan of yours, and I think
- 1:32:04Speaker 14: you're the best one on WOR. But my question is, yesterday,
- 1:32:07Speaker 14: Mikey Sherrill came out and said, it's fine for non-citizens
- 1:32:11Speaker 14: to vote in New Jersey. Don't you have to be
- 1:32:13Speaker 14: a citizen? And with all the scandal going on about
- 1:32:16Speaker 14: people who shouldn't be voting, which I know there always are,
- 1:32:19Speaker 14: I don't know. Can you see do that?
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's New Jersey. What the hell is wrong
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: with you people? You keep electing these crazy governors in
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: New Jersey. Why do you keep doing that?
- 1:32:29Speaker 14: I don't keep electing them.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: I don't mean you personally, but in New Jersey, look
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: at the governors you've had. Not just the Democrats. Some
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: of the Republican governors, they're all ridiculous choices, these Democrats.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: Mikey Sherrill?
- 1:32:42Speaker 17: I agree.
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: Who was the governor before that? I'm blanking out. Who
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: was governor before Mikey Sherrill?
- 1:32:47Speaker 14: Oh, before that? Oh, he was horrible. That one from
- 1:32:49Speaker 14: Goldman Sachs.
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: Oh, God, yeah. Remember the Goldman Sachs with the beard?
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: Didn't he get indicted for something?
- 1:32:55Speaker 14: Oh, that was Corzine. He was a rival, but this
- 1:32:57Speaker 14: was the last time. I think he was such a
- 1:32:59Speaker 14: bad memory, and now I have to bring my own
- 1:33:03Speaker 14: bags to the shop, right? Because he took them away. Oh,
- 1:33:06Speaker 14: my gosh. I forgot his name. And I just think
- 1:33:09Speaker 14: I'm blanking out because I'm glad he's not governor anymore.
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: Well, they're like nightmares, these governors. You have to forget them. Corzine,
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: I don't think he got indicted, but there was some
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: kind of scandal where it was the Obama administration that
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: had to make it go away. Let's go to Ernie
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: in Morristown. Ernie, how you doing?
- 1:33:26Speaker 19: Good, good.
- 1:33:27Speaker 28: Mark, you know, during the course of business, I drive
- 1:33:30Speaker 28: a lot in the Huntington area. And these campaign signs,
- 1:33:33Speaker 28: what I never see is, am I a Republican or
- 1:33:37Speaker 28: a Democrat?
- 1:33:39Speaker 10: What's up with that?
- 1:33:39Speaker 28: Don't you think that you'd want to know who is
- 1:33:42Speaker 28: represented by who?
- 1:33:43Speaker 10: You know, it's kind of odd.
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: You mean they just put the name, they don't put
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: the party?
- 1:33:49Speaker 17: Exactly.
- 1:33:49Speaker 28: You know, all of the signs. I'm out in Ashroken
- 1:33:52Speaker 28: right now. Nobody's got it.
- 1:33:53Speaker 22: They have their name, but are they a Republican?
- 1:33:55Speaker 10: Are they a Democrat? It's pretty deliberate.
- 1:33:57Speaker 22: It's just, I find it amazing.
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I know what you're saying, but who cares? It's
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: these lawn signs. Stop with the lawn signs. Nobody's going
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: to change their vote because you've got a lawn sign.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: You're driving along and you see a lawn sign.
- 1:34:09Speaker 21: Hochul.
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: You're not going to go, oh, wow, I guess I'm wrong. Okay, Hochul.
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: Who the hell's listening to a lawn sign? And as
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: soon as you put your lawn sign down on the
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: curb on the corner, there's 37 other signs all around it.
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: And next thing you know, the top of the lawn signs.
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing?
- 1:34:29Speaker 19: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. You were speaking about
- 1:34:32Speaker 19: John Corzine, who mysteriously caught an account for $ 50 billion
- 1:34:40Speaker 19: in investors' funds. He went before Congress. They held congressional hearings.
- 1:34:46Speaker 19: And he did a Joe Biden. Oh, I don't know
- 1:34:49Speaker 19: where the money went. If that was anybody else, you'd
- 1:34:52Speaker 19: be doing what he made all the time, rotting in jail.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: When you had money at Goldman Sachs, somehow it got
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: taken out of your account. I mean, it was not right,
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: whatever happened in He was responsible as chairman at the time.
- 1:35:03Speaker 19: $ 50 billion it was. Mark, this cop who killed the
- 1:35:09Speaker 19: guy on the George Washington Bridge... If he, depending on
- 1:35:14Speaker 19: which side of the bridge, because there's a dividing line
- 1:35:17Speaker 19: right down the middle that says New York or New Jersey,
- 1:35:20Speaker 19: he better hope that it was on the Jersey side
- 1:35:23Speaker 19: because or the feds charge him with civil rights violations.
- 1:35:28Speaker 19: Because let me tell you right now, and this is
- 1:35:31Speaker 19: why this guy should plead out. If he goes to
- 1:35:34Speaker 19: state prison in New York, I would put a cow
- 1:35:38Speaker 19: sheet bet that he doesn't last six months. Or they're
- 1:35:42Speaker 19: going to have to keep him in solitary confinement for
- 1:35:47Speaker 19: 23 hours a day. And this is why I said that.
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but he's an ex-cop. You think maybe the correctional
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: officers as an ex-cop might try to take care of him?
- 1:35:56Speaker 19: Protect him uh no what's gonna happen is is some
- 1:36:00Speaker 19: life uh since we don't have the debt penalty in
- 1:36:04Speaker 19: new york some life uh he'll stick a shiv in
- 1:36:07Speaker 19: his liver in the showers and that'll be done because people.
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: Like him it's getting close to lunchtime i know you're
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: not wrong but uh.
- 1:36:21Speaker 19: Mark, people like him are the dirty cops, and that
- 1:36:25Speaker 19: you killed a brother? Forget about it. I'd put my
- 1:36:30Speaker 19: money six months the guy lasts, if even that. Or
- 1:36:34Speaker 19: if he goes to federal prison, Mark.
- 1:36:37Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:36:37Speaker 19: He could cut a deal like that creep, what was his,
- 1:36:41Speaker 19: the Gilgo Beach Killer. He could cut a deal. He
- 1:36:44Speaker 19: could say, send me here. The food is better.
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: All right, that's all. That's good advice, Vincent. You're absolutely right. Listen,
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: this guy is just a nightmare monster. He shot a wonderful,
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: innocent man for absolutely no reason at all. So no
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: sympathy for that guy. Hey, when we come back, we'll
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: talk to Howie Carr next on 710WOR.
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: News breaks out in every show.
- 1:37:07Speaker 9: Mark Simone on 710WOR.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: Well, Howie Carr, one of the very best talk show
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: hosts in America. Also, you can hear him on iHeart.
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: You can get his show, his podcast. Just go to iHeart.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: He's a best-selling author. Great books. The latest is Mass Corruption,
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: Volume 2. You can get his column, the books, the show.
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: Everything's at HowieCarrShow.com. HowieCarrShow.com. Howie Carr, how are you doing?
- 1:37:38Speaker 10: Very good. Very good. I'm enjoying this Alaska situation. It's
- 1:37:43Speaker 10: pretty funny. We have a long track record of this
- 1:37:48Speaker 10: stuff in Massachusetts, as you probably know. We had a
- 1:37:53Speaker 10: president named John F.
- 1:37:54Speaker 2: Kennedy. Yeah.
- 1:37:55Speaker 10: You've heard of the guy, right?
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:37:58Speaker 10: When he was senator, this guy, he worked in the
- 1:38:02Speaker 10: stock room at the Gillette Razor Factory in South Boston.
- 1:38:06Speaker 10: He said, you know, I could win statewide office because
- 1:38:08Speaker 10: my name is John F.
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: Kennedy.
- 1:38:11Speaker 10: And he did. Three times. Never spent a dime. Just
- 1:38:15Speaker 10: got elected time after time because his name was John F.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: Kennedy.
- 1:38:19Speaker 10: He was finally term limited out in 1960 and he said, hey,
- 1:38:24Speaker 10: I got elected treasurer statewide. I'll get elected governor. But
- 1:38:28Speaker 10: That was the same year JFK. the other JFK, was
- 1:38:31Speaker 10: running for president, and he lost. So I think the
- 1:38:33Speaker 10: lesson here, Mark, is you can pull this kind of
- 1:38:37Speaker 10: stuff off with these candidates at lower level offices, even
- 1:38:41Speaker 10: if it's a statewide office, but you can't go beyond
- 1:38:45Speaker 10: a certain level. And I think I think that was
- 1:38:47Speaker 10: Mary Tola's offense. You know, that was her problem. She
- 1:38:52Speaker 10: went a little too high. It wasn't going to work, ever.
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: Yeah, well, she found another guy named Dan Sullivan. Now,
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: if Republicans wanted to try this, how did they find
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: a guy named Muhammad Abdul El-Sayed? That's not that easy
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: to find another one with that name.
- 1:39:08Speaker 10: Well, you know, you can change your name. People have
- 1:39:10Speaker 10: been known to do that, too. You know, that's another.
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: Thing in Boston.
- 1:39:14Speaker 10: There were there were a lot of guy, Irish guys
- 1:39:16Speaker 10: named Foley. And this guy was, I think his name
- 1:39:19Speaker 10: was William Introversoda. He was an Italian guy. This was
- 1:39:22Speaker 10: in the fifties. So he said, all these Foley guys
- 1:39:25Speaker 10: are getting elected. So he changed his name to William
- 1:39:28Speaker 10: Introversoda Foley. Didn't work again. Didn't work a little bit.
- 1:39:32Speaker 10: It just made him a laughing stock, but you know, they,
- 1:39:35Speaker 10: they gave it a shot, but I, I don't think it's,
- 1:39:37Speaker 10: I don't think it's a crime, but, uh, you know,
- 1:39:40Speaker 10: You know, the thing is, did you see that the
- 1:39:44Speaker 10: Democrat candidate, they've got a tape of her a few
- 1:39:46Speaker 10: months back saying, politicians who lie should be put in jail.
- 1:39:51Speaker 10: I don't think that's aged very well for her, considering
- 1:39:55Speaker 10: how many lies she's told about this guy.
- 1:39:58Speaker 2: Although Alan Dershowitz looked at all this. He said it's
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: definitely fraud. You could prosecute somebody for this. It's out-and-out
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: fraud on the voters.
- 1:40:07Speaker 10: Yeah, but where's the statute that says you can't commit
- 1:40:10Speaker 10: fraud on the voters? I hate to go against Alan Dershowitz,
- 1:40:17Speaker 10: Professor Dershowitz, but I don't know. I think it's pretty
- 1:40:21Speaker 10: hard to prosecute that one.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: Hey, speaking of Kennedy, you wrote the best books on JFK.
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: You've written the best books on the Kennedy family. There
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: was talk about the bringing back the White House swimming pool.
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: Trump said absolutely not because he doesn't swim. The last
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: president who really used that pool was JFK. Tell everybody
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: what JFK used that pool for.
- 1:40:43Speaker 10: He had these two young women. They called them Fiddle
- 1:40:49Speaker 10: and Faddle. They were secretaries. And so Joe Kennedy, his father,
- 1:40:54Speaker 10: gave him a present as he was inaugurated. They built
- 1:40:58Speaker 10: the pool at the White House. and he would go
- 1:41:01Speaker 10: down there with fiddle and saddle and they would, they
- 1:41:04Speaker 10: would swim food during the, uh, during the lunch break. And, uh,
- 1:41:09Speaker 10: and that's what they, and he brought down, he had a,
- 1:41:11Speaker 10: he had one of his aides, this old time guy
- 1:41:13Speaker 10: from Charlestown, uh, Boston. And, uh, he, he, he had,
- 1:41:18Speaker 10: he instructed fiddle to get her a paddle to give,
- 1:41:20Speaker 10: give him a, uh, a, a, a Lewinsky, shall we
- 1:41:24Speaker 10: say at the pool. I have a picture in Kennedy
- 1:41:27Speaker 10: Babylon of, uh, of Caroline Kennedy, uh, posing with this guy.
- 1:41:32Speaker 10: I think his name was Dave powers.
- 1:41:33Speaker 19: I forget.
- 1:41:34Speaker 22: Oh yeah.
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: Dave powers.
- 1:41:35Speaker 10: Yeah, they were, they were, I say they were remembering
- 1:41:38Speaker 10: the good old days of fiddle and paddle down by
- 1:41:40Speaker 10: down at the pool. And, uh, yeah, they, they actually, uh,
- 1:41:45Speaker 10: I mean, I got lots of pictures of fiddle and
- 1:41:47Speaker 10: paddle and Kennedy and Kennedy Babylon. I think it's volume one.
- 1:41:50Speaker 10: I put him at, I got two volumes, but it's
- 1:41:52Speaker 10: in volume. I think it's in volume one. Yeah, they
- 1:41:57Speaker 10: actually did a story in the Hearst Sunday publication at
- 1:42:01Speaker 10: the time about Fiddle and Faddle and some of the
- 1:42:05Speaker 10: White House beauties are working on the staff for JFK. Yeah,
- 1:42:10Speaker 10: they're working all right. They're working. Yes, indeed they are.
- 1:42:13Speaker 10: And then you know what happened to the pool, right?
- 1:42:16Speaker 10: When Nixon got in, he knew what was going on
- 1:42:19Speaker 10: in that pool. Andrew Hoover told him. He made it
- 1:42:23Speaker 10: into a bowling alley.
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: So Donald Trump has an assistant named Natalie Harp who
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: works her tail off, you know.
- 1:42:33Speaker 27: Right.
- 1:42:33Speaker 10: She's always sending stuff. I'm sure you're getting the text
- 1:42:35Speaker 10: just like I am. She's always sending out texts. Check
- 1:42:39Speaker 10: out President Trump's Truth Social. That's what she does. That's
- 1:42:43Speaker 10: her job.
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: Yeah, but why is she? Why is Natalie Harp always around?
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: So how come there was no fiddle-faddle coverage by the media?
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: How come they didn't do that story?
- 1:42:52Speaker 10: There was fiddle.
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: I told you.
- 1:42:53Speaker 10: They got a nice puff piece there. Oh, apparently one
- 1:42:58Speaker 10: of them was on the plane to Dallas and had
- 1:43:02Speaker 10: to go back on the plane with the body and
- 1:43:05Speaker 10: Jackie Kennedy. I mean, these are the stories you never
- 1:43:07Speaker 10: heard until decades and decades later.
- 1:43:12Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: But between this fiddle and faddle and Judith Exner and
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: Marilyn Monroe, if you ask those old-time reporters, they'd say, well,
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: it was a different era. Is it just simply because
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: he was a Democrat? Had that been Nixon, they would
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: have exposed that in a second, wouldn't they?
- 1:43:26Speaker 22: Yeah, no, I think it was.
- 1:43:28Speaker 10: JFK was married before Jacqueline Kennedy. He got married in
- 1:43:34Speaker 10: Palm Beach. And JFK, Joe Kennedy, his father, went in
- 1:43:39Speaker 10: and had all the documents lifted out of town hall
- 1:43:42Speaker 10: in Palm Beach. And then JFK, the woman lived in
- 1:43:48Speaker 10: Palm Beach, his first marriage to a divorced Protestant woman.
- 1:43:53Speaker 10: And she lived in Palm Beach. And one day at
- 1:43:55Speaker 10: the Everglades Club, he and Ben Bradley, the then soon-to-be
- 1:44:00Speaker 10: Nixon exposure in Watergate, they were playing golf at the
- 1:44:05Speaker 10: Everglades Club in Palm Beach, right in the middle of town.
- 1:44:10Speaker 10: And JFK, President Kennedy, introduced Ben Bradley to his first wife.
- 1:44:17Speaker 10: Didn't say it was his first wife, obviously, but he
- 1:44:20Speaker 10: introduced her. I mean, Ben Bradley put that in his...
- 1:44:23Speaker 10: In his memoirs.
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: Wow. Well, if you want more of this.
- 1:44:26Speaker 10: That's how old they were.
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: If you want more of this, get Howie Carr's books,
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: Kennedy Babylon, Volume 1, Volume 2. Amazing stuff in there.
- 1:44:36Speaker 10: Yeah. I don't know if it's back on Amazon yet,
- 1:44:38Speaker 10: but it soon will be. They're just, they're toying with me, Mark.
- 1:44:42Speaker 10: But it'll, Kennedy Babylon Volumes 1 and 2. You can actually,

- 1:44:55Speaker 2: What's going to happen in Maine? Susan Collins, she'll win
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: that race, won't she?
- 1:45:00Speaker 10: I think so. Six years ago, she was running against
- 1:45:03Speaker 10: a Democrat out of Central Casting, but she could speak
- 1:45:08Speaker 10: in complete sentences and wasn't a complete boob, and she
- 1:45:11Speaker 10: wasn't married to her cousin. She was ahead in the
- 1:45:14Speaker 10: polls by like seven points at the end, and Collins
- 1:45:18Speaker 10: ended up winning by nine. I got to think, you know,
- 1:45:23Speaker 10: this is going to be the same kind of situation.
- 1:45:25Speaker 10: Did you see Plattner yesterday? The New York Post caught him,
- 1:45:29Speaker 10: you know, and took pictures of him, and he's going,
- 1:45:33Speaker 10: you people from away don't understand what it's like for
- 1:45:36Speaker 10: us people down east. Like, this guy went, again, this
- 1:45:39Speaker 10: guy went the hotchkiss. That makes St. Paul's, where John
- 1:45:43Speaker 10: Kerry went, look like, you know, look like a technical
- 1:45:47Speaker 10: high school in the Bronx.
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: Well, Hey, Obama, speaking of elitists, Obama doesn't seem to
- 1:45:54Speaker 2: realize what Cheesecake Factory means to most Americans.
- 1:45:57Speaker 17: I know.
- 1:45:58Speaker 19: I know.
- 1:46:01Speaker 10: But obviously someone told him that he really stepped on it,
- 1:46:05Speaker 10: stepped in it. Because I guess last night in Georgia,
- 1:46:08Speaker 10: he was just going on and on. That's all Scott
- 1:46:11Speaker 10: Bess and Scott to do is to do, he's not
- 1:46:14Speaker 10: worried about affordability and the price of gas. He's doing
- 1:46:17Speaker 10: a press conference outside the Cheesecake Factory. You know, Mark,
- 1:46:21Speaker 10: me thinks Obama doth protest too much, right?
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, Howie Carr, great as always. Hey, everybody listen

- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Hey, Ilhan Omar marrying her brother, the investigation into that,
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: as you remember you heard, it started under the Biden administration. Actually,
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: new evidence has come out. It's been confirmed. The investigation
- 1:47:45Speaker 2: into Ilhan Omar started during the Obama administration. It started
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: in the Obama administration as evidence was seen. Well, now
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: it turns out a U.S. attorney in Minnesota appointed by
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: Biden Shut it down. Shut down the probe in 2021.
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: So this probe was underway under Obama and Biden. We'll
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: have more on that for you tomorrow because we're out
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: of time right now. Going to be a really nice day.
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: Bright sunshine, mid-60s. I'll be back tomorrow, 9 p.m. to noon,
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: and I'll talk to you then right here on 710WOR.
