- 0:01No matter how strongly we hold an idea or an emotional
- 0:06attachment or even a vital desire.
- 0:09We find that over time, any of these can be shaken disrupted or
- 0:16even converted into its opposite.
- 0:19The various parts of the human instrument, the body, the life
- 0:23force, and the mind are all in constant and variable are
- 0:30Subject to pressure to changes of circumstances, or even just
- 0:35the maturation process of the individual as he grows, learns,
- 0:41and expands his Horizons. The question then arises as to
- 0:46how one can achieve an unshakable faith.
- 0:49If that Faith depends on the stability of these instruments
- 0:54dogmas or principles held by the Mind tend to be brittle.
- 0:58And thus, either become fanatical in nature and thus not
- 1:03subject to recep tivity and growth or else can be shattered.
- 1:09When the right pressure is applied, We are all aware of
- 1:13situations where love has turned into hatred or we're friends of
- 1:17turned into enemies based on perceptions or circumstances the
- 1:23challenge our faith on the objects of our love or
- 1:26friendship. The dhammapada addresses, the
- 1:30issue of Faith. The aphorism below refers to
- 1:34Mara, who is the embodiment of Illusion.
- 1:38Illusion, adheres to the external life and our
- 1:42instruments of interacting with that life.
- 1:45The mothers commentary on this aphorism.
- 1:47Makes it clear that unshakable faith is not based in the mind
- 1:52or the emotions or even a particular teaching, the faith
- 1:56that is unshakable, is that which originates with the soul,
- 2:00the psychic being, which holds the true purpose and
- 2:05potentiality of the individual Quote Justice.
- 2:11The strong wind has no hold Upon A Mighty Rock.
- 2:14So Mara has no hold upon a man who is endowed with unshakable
- 2:18faith and who waste not his energies and quote the
- 2:24dhammapada the mother notes quote, what the dhammapada means
- 2:30when it speaks of faith is not at all, the belief in, a Dogma
- 2:33or a religion. It is not even faith, in the
- 2:37teaching of the master. It is Faith in one's own
- 2:40possibilities. The certitude that whatever the
- 2:44difficulties, whatever the obstacles, whatever, the
- 2:48imperfections, even the negations in the being one is
- 2:53born from realization and one will realize The will must never
- 2:58falter the effort. Must be persevering and the
- 3:02faith unshakable then instead of spending years to realize what
- 3:07one has to realize, when can do it in a few months, sometimes
- 3:12even in a few days. And if there is sufficient
- 3:16intensity in a few hours that is to say, you can take a position
- 3:22within yourself and no bad. Well, that attacks the
- 3:26realization We'll have any more power over you than the storm
- 3:31has over a rock. After that, the way is no longer
- 3:37difficult, it becomes extraordinarily interesting.
