And today we're building on our direction phrases from a while back. Remember we did 'go straight'? Luna: Yeah, 直行. That was episode 84, right? Lucas: Exactly. Now we're adding left and right. So listen: 轉左. Luna: 轉左. Lucas: That's turn left. 轉 is turn, 左 is left. Now turn right: 轉右. Luna: 轉右. Left and right — got it. Lucas: Let's do a mini story. Imagine you're walking down a street and someone asks for directions to the MTR station. Luna: Okay, I'll be the lost tourist. Lucas: And I'll be the helpful local. You say: 請問地鐵站喺邊度? Luna: 請問地鐵站喺邊度? Where is the MTR station? Lucas: Good. And I answer: 直行, 然後轉左. Luna: Go straight, then turn left. 直行, 然後轉左. Lucas: Let's practice that a bit. Say 直行, 然後轉左. Luna: 直行, 然後轉左. What if they want me to turn right? Lucas: Then say 直行, 然後轉右. Let's try that. Luna: 直行, 然後轉右. That's go straight then turn right. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's add 'in front' — 喺前面. Like: 地鐵站喺前面. Luna: 地鐵站喺前面. The MTR station is in front. Lucas: And 'cross the road' — 過馬路. 你要過馬路. Luna: 你要過馬路. You need to cross the road. Lucas: You're picking this up fast. Let's put it all together. I'll give you a full set of directions. Listen: 直行, 過馬路, 然後轉左. 地鐵站喺前面. Luna: Wow, okay. So: go straight, cross the road, then turn left. The station is in front. Can you say that again slowly? So if I said 喺你右手邊, that's on your right side. Luna: Got it. Let me try: 喺你右手邊. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's do a quick review. I'll say English, you say Cantonese. Luna: Okay, hit me. Lucas: Turn left.
