- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning friends and enemies in today's video.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna be going through these sharpest ads on the bottom of your roster All right, so it's week one We're about to kick off, but there are some spots open up.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: You've got a luxury ad You've got a guy that you're able to throw into your IR because you got ruled out here are the players that are gonna pop in week one That you now will not have to spend a dime on in the waiver wire after week one because we're telling you to put them on your roster
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: right now.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to waste any more of your time.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: So let us begin.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Michael, as we start to think about the guys, we want to grab at the end of our rosters.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: We can maybe start with a more overall picture of how you think about patting the bottom of your rosters.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: And one other thing I want to kind of mention before we even jump in is like, why this episode's important?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's weird because you're like, why would I hit the waiver wire now?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: I just drafted.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: But between now and Saturday, there's going to be a lot of players that
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: And on most fantasy leagues, I think you'll be able to throw one or two guys into your IR spot and pick someone up on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, which is why in episode like this, I think is important because it's important to figure things out very early in the season because a lot of the times, you know, guys who pop come from unknown depth charts or we don't really know what their role is going to be and it's fruitful to just be like very, very tapped in and tuned in early on in the season, which is why I think we're going to name a lot of dudes that will probably end up
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: as popular pickups week one, week two, on the waiver wire.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: When you're building your team in a redraft league, are you trying to build it with guys in mind that could have crazy upside towards the second half of the year?
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Are you trying to build for death, three?
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if this guy gets hurt, I still have a nice, like, nine point PPR do to get in there.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Is it some sort of, like, a mixture?
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: Are you, you know, go for it all?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: Or, like, completely floor play, secure, just get me in the playoffs type of ways.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Or, anyway, you look at it.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: It was just, like, it just happened as you're drafting.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I've talked about this a ton on my own personal channel.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: I have not necessarily a unique philosophy, but the my benches typically look pretty strange.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: I always say that it's important to consider your lead context as well as your teams individual context as well.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in an eight man league and your benches are thin, this isn't necessarily applicable, but I am
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: stockpiling, just massive upside swings on my bench for the most part.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: If I punt like a 1z position, if I just don't take a tight end until the 11th round, I'll add a backup tight end onto my roster.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: But for the most part, it's running backs in wider sewers.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: All of which, whom have just massive upcut, I
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: outside outcome.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: So it's young, ascending wide receivers and a ton of handcuff running backs.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's just how I like to build out my bench because I've talked about this again.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just think depth like in the traditional sense is the most overrated thing in fantasy football.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Just in the sense of I can slot this guy in as my flex position if I need to.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: If a guy's injured, if a guy has a bi-week
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I've used Wandell Robinson as my poster boy for that kind of discussion like Wandell, the thesis is great, he's going to get 125 targets, he's going to be a nice PPR guy to have on your team, but the upside is so, so limited.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't look for depth in that sense.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking for depth pieces where if they hit the 80th percentile outcome, the 90th percentile outcome, there are a guy that I want to get into my line up every single week.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: So the range of outcomes for the guys that I put on my bench are pretty wide.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: They could be stone cold zeroes all season long, but I'm going to hold on to them for at least a good stretch of the year because I know if they hit, they're going to be a piece that helps me legitimately win my lead and I'm just fired up to get them onto my starting line up every single week.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I kind of fall somewhere in the middle.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't mind taking shots and I think a more likely to take shots on super high upside guys when I have like a really secure starter in my lineup and I'll give an example once we kind of like dive into some of the names but like
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: you know, I've had a fan in my tight end in my big money league and I'm like, okay, I feel good about him, but I'm just probably just going to leave him my tight end slot plug and play for the remainder of the year.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that can go for him, but it can also go for if you draft a like, report a lovelin, bowers Kelsey.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to roster a back up tight end, a player like that allows you to just go for straight upside.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to draft a dude like, you know, a Dallas god or Travis Kelsey,
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: It might make more sense to pair it with a Jake Ferguson or a Travis Kelsey or a Dallas gotter on the flip side where it's like, you might actually need to stream or play matchups whereas when you have a solidified starter, it's specific positions or if it's like a start to running back league and you have, you know, Kenneth Walker, Derek Henry or Chase Brown, I'm already in Hampton or Sake Juan and whatever, it gives you a lot more leverage to not care what's on your bench and I'd agree with you in some part where I think depth is overrated, but more so in the beginning of the year.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need depth when you start the year.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: There are no bioweeks that are very few injuries.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: Again, going back to like when the waiver wire becomes important, it's like the most uncertainty is at the beginning of the year.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so it's like you don't need to have your bench figured out because in weeks one, in weeks two, in weeks three, that's when we get so much more information than we had over the previous like four or five months where you'll be able to start.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: kind of like stockpiling guys that you're like, oh, I'm feeling better about this.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: This guy could be legit depth.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: This guy could have legit upside, whereas he was just sitting on the way to a wire.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I think to like try to know who the depth pieces are throughout the summer is pretty much fools gold.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm kind of halfway in the middle with you.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think depth matters a little bit later in the season as injuries pile up as there's more bio-ease as X, Y, Z happens.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: But for the most part, yeah, I'm like, upsides wings or dudes that are like, okay, 10.12 points, PPR, get them into my lineup.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Good to go.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start the list here, Michael.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you have?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't necessarily need to be top of the list, but who's a guy that you're looking at as a kind of a must add priority for you at the end of benches?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so the first one that I got onto my list here, only owned in like 10% of ESPN leagues right now, and I can't seem to get a grip on why.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's Buffalo Bill's running back a raid Davis, and this kind of fits in with the theme of me saying, these are upside swings.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: This guy could very well be a zero all year long.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: But if it hits, it's gonna hit in a massive way.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: And Ray Davis's price has been depressed all off season.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: You obviously see it, he's going undrafted in the vast majority of leagues on most platforms.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: I would go ahead and assume I can't seem to understand why we were drafting him pretty aggressively last year behind James Cook and the bet.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: hasn't changed and I've been saying this all off season long like what is the difference between the bet we're making on Ray Davis in twenty twenty six versus twenty twenty five what people work comfortable drafting him as one of the priority hand cuff running backs he is still the clear cut primary ball carrier behind James Cook if he misses any time this becomes Ray Davis's backfield he's not going to be a three down weapon but a very significant role in the offense handling the vast majority of the carries that's exactly what I think we're going to
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then the other aspect here is this is quite obviously an offense that we want to make that son.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: We know that it is valuable for fantasy football.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then specifically for the running backs and the backfield as a whole, they have very, very heavily leaned into the ground game over the last couple of years under Joe Brady.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: They've ranked top
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: top 10 in total rushing offense and total rush attempts in each of the last three years.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Last year in 2025, they ranked first in both categories, so this is a run first team.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: I would expect to see some sort of a shift in philosophy, should James Cook go down, but generally speaking, I think this is going to remain a run first team.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: If Ray Davis is inserted as the starting running back, so this is just a team that's liable to score 30 points in any given week.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: They have a run-first mentality and I have no questions about what Ray Davis's role looks like should James Cook go down.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think he kind of like gets lumped into this tier of handcuff running backs where it's like you should at the lowest rate have one of these guys on your bench one or two like you know we can't sit here and tell you like Ray Davis is more likely to be inserted into your starting lineup than a guy like
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: tank bigsby but they're in the same tier to me and it's interesting because a lot of the workhorse or the the clear handcuff running backs feel like they're in offenses where you're like wheels up here.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: They're not necessarily attached to like really shitty offenses.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm talking more so about guys that were in draft.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's like obviously Mike Washington comes to mind, but he was probably very heavily drafted in most redraft leagues, but I think of Ray Davis the same way I think of like tank bigsby the same way I'm thinking of maybe like a Jonah Coleman the same way I'm thinking of an image Johnson.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: These are guys where
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: massive upside number one waver wire pick up the week.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: No doubt about it.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: If the guy in front of them ends up going down.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I think every redraf league would you do yourself a clean service.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: If you have minimal one probably too.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: If you got some luxury spots on your bench because those are the guys that end up being like the clear top guy.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: in the following week, like running backs for so much easier to target on the wire because you know exactly what you're getting for the most part receivers.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think even if a receiver is a good game one week, it has no prediciveness towards like what's happening the next week running backs, you typically pick them up because the guy in front of them got hurt.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: So they're going to have a ton of production and a ton of opportunity coming their way in the very following week.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I clump a lot of those guys in together in the fact that like they might never get on the field, but we know what the role is going to be if they do most
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: There's a duo of receivers that I want to talk about out in Miami.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's these rookie receivers in Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Chris Bell was kind of like the first round talent ended up going the third because of, you know, the lower body injury that he had to recover from throughout most of the summer.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: But Chris Bell cleared, you know, any injury designation he had throughout the summer actually played in their final preseason game.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just overall like they are obviously just clearing the way for someone to emerge in this depth chart.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I would be more surprised than not surprised if by week six.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's not Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas has like the main outside guys here.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think I would rank it Bell over Douglas if I was picking one over the other because I think the town profile is clearly in favor of Chris Bell.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: I also think like if you're picking one of these guys up, they're not going into your lineup.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're worried about like, oh, Caleb Douglas is a lot healthier right now.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: And ready to go like that might be the only time you're even thinking about getting one of these guys in your lineup.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's probably wise to just like leave a little bit of room for hey, maybe milk wool is a little bit better than we think he could be as a quarterback.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then there might be a dude that he just like locks into from a target chair perspective and I go Chris Bell, but I don't think either of these guys Chris Bell or Caleb Douglas.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Our guys at like if we escape week one and Caleb Douglas has seven or eight targets like he's going to be a very highly sought after guy on the waiver wire immediately.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I like taking shots in this Miami wide receiver group that they're going to travel a lot.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have to throw a lot, but it's so uncertain within the depth chart right now.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: I have been having a hard time getting to the Miami guys as Ben stashes because of the point that you brought up, I think the the clearest path to them being factors week to week in your starting lineup, someone you're considering starting or just jamming in there every single week.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to require what you said, just real clear consolidation of the targets they are going to have to
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: emerge as the obvious number one because it's not an offense where multiple guys are going to be hitting just given what we are expectations are for Malik Willis and this offense and it's entirety.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I've been having a little bit of a problem with it because I'm not sure if I buy into the talent enough of either bell or Douglas to be the obvious clear cut number one guy.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: But again, what I was saying earlier, it comes down to teen context.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: given that uncertainty that you were discussing, there's no doubt that one of these guys could emerge.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if you need some upsides, some juice at the end of your bench at Y to see her, it makes sense.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: Personally, I'm not building my teams that way.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: Again, my benches are largely full of these handcuff running backs, these ambiguous situation running backs.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: So it makes sense for certain teams in my opinion.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: There are a couple other guys that are on waiver wires kind of everywhere that I am getting to a little bit more at the wide receiver position.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: One of them is Pat Bryant.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: He is basically unrestored literally everywhere, but this is once again an offense that we want to be betting on.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: We know that this is a pass first offense.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Unlike the Buffalo bills,
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: pretty heavily involved as a featured weapon, even into the postseason, the playoffs that run that they had.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: He deals with injuries down the stretch, which really limit his ability to become a featured piece of this passing attack.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: They obviously do add Jalen Wattled this offseason as well, but I can see outcomes where he is consistently running upwards of 70% of the routes.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's challenging Portland's Sutton even for target.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: This really for me, it's a talent that I was intrigued by coming out of the draft, like to what I saw last year.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think we would be talking about Pat Bryant at a much higher level, hold him in much higher regard if he had remained healthy down the stretch last year.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: So those two factors combined, I just want to see how things play out within this Denver Broncos wide receiver room.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to talk too down on Portland Sutton, but I think he is on the decline of his career.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: I can see a world where Pat Bryan begins to challenge him for targets, and I just want to invest in this offense, especially if it can come for next to nothing.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: You could just go grab this guy off the waver wire, heading into week one.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's stone cold free.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: You see what happens and just go from there.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I have such a hard time, like I like Pat Bryan a lot.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: I have a lot of Dynastee and him, the Dynastee shares of him, because I remember last year, like no one, no one really knew who he was, but he got third round capital.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: He went to this Bronco's offense and he was like a fourth round pick in every rookie draft.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I ended up just taking him there.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: I was happy I got him, because I thought he's looked good, playing on the NFL field.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: I just like really don't see a very clear path to him.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Being a factor this year in fantasy, outside of like a sudden injury.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: Once wild got there, it kind of felt like it was a little bit dead for him.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: This year, I could see him being like a real big factor.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: next year.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Broncos are probably too good to move Cortland saw in that like the trade deadline, but, you know, in maybe a non-good year, this, he would be like the perfect trade deadline candidate where you get Pat Bryan into your lineup.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really on the side that I think Cortland saw in like falling off by any means.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting a little bit older.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he looked good last year.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he's looked good in the preseason so far.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: Thousands of yards back to back seasons, like yards per reception numbers are still up there.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think he has a really good chemistry with Bonyx still, and the utilizing really heavily in the red zone.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: If Waddle was not there, I would be like, yeah, Pat Bryan is like such a, like a sharp sleeper to like emerge over the Troy Franklin's and the Marvin memes of the world.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a,
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: different talent level than those guys.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't really know how much we're going to get out of him with Sutton and Wattle on the field.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like I haven't really seen enough that feels like okay, it looks like Broncos are moving off of Sutton.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're going to start playing Pat Bryant over a quarter in Sutton.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like a future move that like, you know, Pat Ryan can get on the field for maybe 50% of the snaps and be a slot guy, move outside, talented guy, but I don't know how that I see the path form there.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I would say like I actually feel a guy like Chris Bell
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: Upside this year even in like a shitty offense, then I got like Pat Bryan because of the nature of like who they are as players and the barrier of talent is like so fucking low in Miami It's like the fact that they got rid of two to at well and you're like all right like we're moving up the deaf chart now is like kind of telling there You know like all you gotta do is beat out fucking milk Washington, so you know It's not even like how are these guys even that talent?
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you don't really need to be that talented to get that high of target share Whereas in Denver like you gotta be pretty damn talented to
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: you know, surpassed water, surpassed in the running backs also get a shit ton of targets.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you know, they'll get their chunk of 25% of the targets in this offense as well.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: So like Pat Ryan is a player, but I do think he probably needs an injury to one of those guys to be like in your lineup's weekly.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's fair.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: I will say if one of those guys in Miami is obviously very early the number one and is consolidating the volume.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: It will be very easy to pivot to one of those guys and it will become a very trendy popular and obvious waver wire pickup.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: Just ahead of time, given the uncertainty in both situations, just in Miami, the quality of the offense, Denver, the pecking order, and the access to routes, I kind of tend to view towards uncertainty in the depth chart and
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: where his access to routes as opposed to the quality offense.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just like betting on talented players in good offenses, as opposed to obvious paths to volume.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: But if we get two, three weeks in the season, one of these guys in Miami is smashing, it'll be easy to move off of it.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want to talk about a tight end that I feel like you were probably going to bring to the table as well.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: A much more high upside guy out in LA, turns Ferguson, super athletic second year guy.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: McVay went out and handpicked him in the second round.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, getting a ton of hype this off season about being like the third wide receiver in this offense.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: How true is that?
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but this is an example of what I was talking about in my big league where I have fan in,
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Furious sin was the guy targeted on the waiver wire to be able to sit on my bench and kind of see what happens over the first month because he's very high upside But there's a chance that I end up you know dropping him after a month of the season, you know, he's not playing enough snaps.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's not running enough routes whatever as opposed to like there were some guys that I thought were decent
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: waver wire like Mark Andrews was on the waver wire.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think even Jake Ferguson was on the waver wire and I opted to go at Terrence Ferguson over those guys because I wasn't going to play them over fan and but I like the upside swings of a guy like Terrence Ferguson and again I think there are a lot of points that you could you know get excited about with Ferguson just his profile obviously being attached to this offense is great maybe about the atoms really is starting to like
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: fade away a little bit and Ferguson can be more of a factor.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: I see him a little bit like Mike and Sikki where if something happens to either the other receivers, he comes in and he really is like the widersiever tune this offense.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: I also do see and I want to say this first and foremost, like there are so many ways this can go wrong.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like the week one we can go out and he can run 30% of the snaps and be like I can't believe we were there's there's five guys there's four guys on that dev chart that can all run routes.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: We can get out there and be like, oh, Tyler Higby's like the clear red zone tight end when they get inside, you know, the 10 yard line to take be running every route down there.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: So clearly a lot can go wrong here, but I do think if there's one guy that's going to have a ton of upside that again was taking very early in the second round last year by Sean McVay has a vision for him who's a rookie last year hard to break in when you have these three or four other tight ends on the depth chart.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: to be sitting on.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's the ultimate see what happens, Titan.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's so exciting man.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like how many Titans last year, his rookie or how many Titans have an eight out of 18 yards and also draw seven end zone targets.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's just insane the way he was utilized last year.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: So you have that already solidified.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: He can be used in that manner.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: All the rumblings of him getting more diverse usage.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: Some of the intermediate short targets that would help boost his floor on top of the ceiling
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: his ability to create chunk plays down the field.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's so awesome.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I have him on my list.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: I would have been happy to talk about him.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: But also in the tight end realm, I kind of have the inverse Terrence Ferguson.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: So when I've been talking about how I'm approaching the tight end position this year, if I'm waiting, if I'm not getting one of the guys, like obviously Bowers McBride, but if I'm if it's packed,
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: past, Harold van and Tucker craft, Sam Laporta, all those guys, I'm usually waiting pretty far to get and start addressing my tight end room.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm getting someone like Terrence Ferguson, but then I'm also pairing him with someone like Dalton Schultz, who is the tight end that I'm gonna be talking about here.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: I like to pair one of the massive upsides swings and one of the floor driven volume-based bets.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Dolan Schultz is the perfect candidate for that volume based bet.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: The target competition in Houston is just horrific.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's Nico Collins.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm on record saying I think he can't lead the lead in target share this year.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: Nico Collins.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: But behind him, there is no proven target earners other than Dolan Schultz.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: 0.14 career targets per outrun, Xavier Hutchinson, 0.13, Jalen Null is a complete mystery box after a pretty limited rookie year.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: So there's not really that much.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: And we saw this play out last year, Dalton Schultz earns a hundred targets last year, which is pretty wild.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I really think that Dalton Schultz has a very obvious path
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: to just PPR scamming his way to a top 12, top 10, top eight type of season, just based on volume alone, the target competition is so, so limited.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: I know this is going to be a team that wins with its defense and is run first on offense.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: still that they're going to be throwing the ball.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: Nico Collins solidified clear cut number one target.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: Donald Schulz, I really don't see much of a competition for those underneath.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: Those kind of dump-off safety blanket type of routes and targets.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: So if I'm looking for someone to pair alongside a Kenyansodik, a Terence Ferguson, Donald Schulz is one of my priority targets.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a sharp call.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I've dropped this step before.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think I tweeted it out too.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: But Don Shultz last year posted the single best fantasy season by a Texan's tight end all the time.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: It was the best Texas.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I see season ever.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like it wasn't good.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: But it was like that's crazy.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe the answer to Jaden Higgins being hurt is Don Shultz.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like clearly has a very like real
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: floor security type of chemistry with CJ Straud here and I actually I wanted to circle back on Terns Ferguson for a second.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like you brought up the A-Dobbing 18 yards outfield, due to average 21 yards per seption, which is like that's like Deshawn Jackson in his prime tight numbers.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: He had this, I mean, he was nowhere near like,
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: even a top 20 guy in terms of routes run.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: He had these single most deep targets 20 yards plus downfield of all tight ends in the entire NFL despite like barely running routes last year.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: So again, the upside is extremely uncapped.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: If he becomes the tight end that they used down in the red zone, like they were scoring.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: Tighten touchdowns weekly if not like multiple times per week less here if he gets a more solid fight role I mean that could be just so so so juicy.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: I like the Donald Schultz call as a floor plan curious Do you like either the other Texans or any of the Texans receivers here because I wrote down boot a and no But not because I like like I'm I just thought they were discussion points here because somebody else like probably has to get targets It sounds like you're more in the direction of Schultz.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm kind of off these guys too because we don't really know what the snaps here are gonna be behind
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: Nico, like we saw it even last year, behind Nico, it was like all these guys, even Jayden Higgins, they were like capped out at 55% of the routes on a weekly basis.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like we never knew if we were going to get more than 40% from Jayland, well, or 40% for Xavier Hutchinson, or even like Jayden Higgins was like never really seeing above 60%.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: So it does feel like, take what you know is going to be the dude who are on the field in Houston, Nico, Schultz, Dave Montgomery's going to get carries kind of thing and just walk away.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: You have any interest in like even putting a, a, a, a, a, a well on your bench.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think we talked about this last week.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: Cacheon booty is going to be a trendy waver wire pickup one week for all the wrong reasons.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be a horrible pickup.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: We know who Cacheon booty is.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: He is a downfield playmaker who doesn't earn targets with regularity.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: So when he hits on that 45 yard touchdown, that 55 yard touchdown, everyone's gonna be running to the waver wire they're going to see.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: see the 14.5 PPR points that he had in that game and they're going to be happy to pick them up.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not going to be consistent enough for you to reasonably get him into your lineup anyways.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I know what Kishan booty is.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'll leave the light on for Jalen Null.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what like you said, what the route rates are going to look like, what the personnel deployment is going to look like because
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: We heavily expect them to really lean into the 12 and 13 personnel, just given the injury to Jaden Higgins, the investments they've made at the tight end position.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know how many just wide receiver snaps they're going to be available period.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: So Jail Noelle has a tough path.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: to snaps to begin with.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I will leave the light on for him just given the uncertainty.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: We really don't know how he would function in a full-time or even semi-full-time role.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: So if you need some interesting piece of talent you want to bet on at the end of your bench, I would grab him.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: But Hishon Boody, I'll leave him for everyone else to go grab him when he has that big spike week.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, fair enough, fair enough.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: I want to move to the New York Giants.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: I got a couple of names on here, first being Malachi fields.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think the big news over the last 24 hours for the Giants is the fact that they just cut dairy and sweeten, which was pretty big surprise cut.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's been like a consistent part of their offense for the last, you know?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: half decade they gave them an extension last year, two years ago or something like that, but kind of just got rid of them and even prior to that cut, all of the reports had pretty much penciled in Malachi field as the Widers Hever 2 opposite of Malik neighbors seems like Malik neighbors is going to be a full go.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: But anytime you can kind of get a dude who were just anticipating running a shit ton of routes in an offense that
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, maybe we don't really think of them as just like high power offense right now, but they're one of those like mystery ones that are that they're a candidate to be a very high powered up in coming offense.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know if that's going to come to fruition, but if at the end of the year, the giants were, you know, a top 12 or top 14 scoring offense, I don't think I'd be overly surprised just giving the amount of playmakers that they have on on the field.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: Does that always translate to like the widest you were to being a dude?
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, but Malachi feels I think has a lot of traits that have translated clearly throughout the summer to being a playmaker for the giants, and because they lack so much playmaking billet on the outside besides milk neighbors, like they, you know, they get a rid of Wanda Robinson, they get rid of Darius Slayton, they got Odele Beckham Jr, who's like legit fucking 34 years old right now.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: I say likely probably the widest here for two there, but I think Malachi fields can be a dude who kind of just like backs his way into
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: a decent fantasy or because he's going to be on the field so much and they play Dallas week one, which is one of the higher game totals of the week.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: Dallas has passed the offense is obviously when you can kind of throw all over.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: So when we surprise if he ends up having like a little bit of a spike week, even if it's like he scores a title, he goes like three for 40 and a touchdown.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be a guy that like people are going to want to go out of their way to get on to their on their rosters.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: for fields for me.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: Again, it's a little bit tougher because just thinking through his player archetype, he's this big body contested catch type of wide receiver.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: Is that a sort of player who I'm comfortable getting into my lineup with any sort of regularity?
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: I have a harder time with it.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt that
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: He is the second widersiever behind moeak neighbors that if you're going to own a giant swine deceiver, it is undoubtedly Malachi feels the red carpet has been rolled out for him to be a starting widersiever for the New York giant.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: So the routes, the snaps, I don't really have a hard time with that just the path to volume and any sort of consistency is where I get there is where I start having a hard time.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: The spike weeks will undoubtedly be there just what I was saying earlier his player archetype his presence in the red zone that is going to be beneficial for the giants as a team that will lead to some big time performance is in fantasy where he's like on your bantries on the waver wire and you're like damn I wish I had this guy in my lineup this week he just scored 18 points with two touchdowns.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I won't.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if then like you almost look at him as more of like how people play dynasty where he's almost like a stock where it's like you want to get ahead of it because he's going to have the spike weeks and then people are going to want him but like you can you can already envision yourself never wanting to actually play him so maybe in shallow release I don't think you're playing any sharp leagues where it's like someone's going to go out of the way to trade for Malachi fields but you might be in the New York New Jersey area you pick a Malachi fields people giants fans like fuck you like I want this guy on my team maybe it's one of those guys you just get like ahead of the curve on
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: not necessarily thrown into your lineup every single week, but I do imagine like early in the season, rookies who have big spike weeks, other ones that go for like a ton of fab right off the rip.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think that is definitely true.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: My kind of upside case for Malachi fields is that he's a great glass in case of emergency kind of flex guy.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like how you were laying it out, if this offense is homing there at top 10,
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: Top 12 unit.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: We know that scoring could be plentiful in any given week with Jackson Dart, Malik neighbor, Scataboo, all those guys humming.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: He could be someone you jam in your lineup in a deeper league where you're just spraying on a touchdown or two coming out of your flex spot.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: So that's kind of how I see fields, but I really think that's
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: mostly applicable for like the deepest of leagues.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in a 10 man league, probably not worth your while.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I can see an outcome where where he is that break glass in case of emergency guy.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: I just I just have a harder time seeing much more than that.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: any interest in Najiharis.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's a crazy question.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: There's like a part of me that's like, I think you can do worse than picking up Najiharis.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're obviously in a deep league, campskattabos, a crazy person, and it doesn't feel like, I don't know if they don't trust title and Tracy clearly.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: Devon single Terry's got to be the fourth running back in that
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: And Ajay Harris just has a very overlapping skill set with CamScat.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I could just so see a world where we're eight weeks into the season and Ajay's like the number one waiver wire pick up for the week being ranked as like the RB 16 just all hell breaks loose over there.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't hate Najihar.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: She's wanting to get that on the record.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: The funny thing with Najay is that every bone in my body wants to say you cannot touch this guy whatsoever in fantasy football or something.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: there's something there.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's up here.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's up here for me because the one thing that we always seem to forget about is that assuming that coaches in the NFL think logically and rationally, it's such a bad idea because they do dump shit all the time and this coaching staff Harba, Greg Roman, all these other adults, Najiharis is like,
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: the king to them.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: They love these kinds of guys like this just reliable grinder who can get it done in all phases of the game.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: So if camscadaboo were to miss any time, there is no doubt in my mind that they are just going to load up Nasji Harris with touches.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think they give some to Devon single Terry too because like you said, I'm at the point where I think that they just hate Tyrone Tracy Jr.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: But it's, it's not hard to see Greg Roman and Harbaugh just loading up Nazzie Harris with 18 carries in a week nine game against the Washington commanders.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: So that, that kind of projection that kind of outlook is someone that is RB to viable if you're pretty in a pretty bad spot at running back.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_01]: So I would rather go for the handcuff type of guys who we know are an incredible offense is like no doubt about it, barring and injury to the quarterback.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: So he's pretty far down the list of priority handcuffs for me.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: I still see an outcome where it's under 18 to 20 touches.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's underneath Ray Davis and tank bigsby and like the Amazon's and stuff for the world for sure, but he's like right below that tier though.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like I probably take him over Seth McGowan who would be like, yeah, indie fucking handcuff.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, yeah, who the fuck is Seth McGowan?
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: those are those two are in the same tier for me.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think I've gotten out of your handful spot to head.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: One dude that I want to throw out here that I think is like legitimately playable this week is Devon Valy of the New Orleans Saints.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: I actually think he's a pretty good player.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a good receiver.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's shown plenty in both his time in Denver and then last year.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think he goes into an up
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: uh, like a situation that is quite envious for like most fantasy receivers right now with obviously one short enticing is back on the field.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you want no part of a lay, but we don't know what that's going to be.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: That could be in four weeks.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: It could be in six weeks.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know when he's going to recover from the hamstring injury.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's just a lot of opportunity to be had in this passing game outside of a lot of it.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like Joanne Johnson, I'm sure we'll get six or seven targets to game.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: He'll be involved.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: But these first few weeks, especially like they're playing Detroit off the rip and week one, one of the higher game totals of, of
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: the week that's going to be very high scoring.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of offense in that they're in the dome like very fast pace.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: I can see they're having a pretty solid like flex where the week one and then people kind of realizing like, oh, I might actually be able to just like low end flex this guy for a few weeks while Jordan Tyson is out.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: So think he's relatively talented in even better situation that when you combine the two, I think are they're usable.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I like they lay a lot.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: I like that shout too.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm starting him in a 16 team league this week.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're on the same page there.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: I've talked about this game environment.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's so awesome.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think that the Lions defense is going to be pretty, pretty horrific.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: Both of their starting safeties are on IR slash PUP to open the year.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: other real questions about the state of the secondary in general.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I can see both teams pushing each other and this one, getting the 60 points potentially.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: So really, really good option.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in a very, very deep league.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't have the numbers in front of me, but they list target earning and just volume metrics down the stretch last year.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: We're really good.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_01]: He was showing up as a blip on the radar.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: He was fantasy relevant.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, it's not a guy that you're thrilled to jam into your lineup.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: But given the Tyson injury,
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: what we think about this offense moving forward in year two of the Tyler Shot Kellon Moore era definitely a good shout for sure.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I did have to say, I got Jordan Tyson onto my list here.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: We said the qualifications for this is don't be a jackass about who you're getting on to your list.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Tyson is definitely a jackass type of name without blit.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: Somehow he's only owned a 37.2% of ESPN League.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: So all I'm going to say is if you're in a 10, 12 team league and you have an IR slot, and this guy somehow isn't rostered, drop what you're doing right now, go add this guy, put him into your IR slot and stash him for the next four to six weeks because it's just ridiculous.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: This guy needs to be owned in 75, 80% of leagues.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: He is such an incredible talent.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, to to quote myself Mike basically text me was like is there a cutoff for you know what like the roster percentage and I was like just don't be a dickhead, you know, like don't aim dudes like Jordan Tyson and then put him in this and throw it out there have to be a lot of us being players he is 75% owned in sleep relief so that kind of like give you a little bit more of a taste for but for sure, especially you got an IR spot.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if he's available even if you don't have a fucking IR spot, you should go.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: and probably take him up because second half of the year going to be fantastic for the Saints.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: I've no doubt about that.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: One dude that's 18% owned on sleeper right now and might be a dude that you end up dropping relatively quickly.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: But it's Jalen McMillan.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's kind of looked at it as like a very boring option at this point.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's a lot of people at that presume that he could have a huge ceiling here.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't necessarily know that I look at him that way either, but a bookable be the clear one.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: I just have questions about God when at this age.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: I have questions about whether or not he's got any juice left.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: He should be given the opportunity.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think to start the year to show if he could be the real wide receiver too and to be the full-time slot guy in Tampa Bay, but I also think McMillan's probably going to be listed or I think he was listed as a starter today, but I think he will play, like as many snaps as Chris Godwin will.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: And this is an offense that has a ton of opportunity with Mike Evans gone like they have to re, you know, rework their entire passing game through these new names that they have.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: And they have a lot of dudes there between himself and Ted Hearst and Tess Johnson and whatnot.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think the pecking order is going to be a boooka.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then like we're not going to be able to know if it's Godwin or McMillan after a boooka.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like I've
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's something that we're going to learn over the first few weeks of the season.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: And while Godwin's getting picked in like the 7th or 8th round of PPR leagues, McMillan's kind of free and just floating on the wire right now, obviously much younger coming off of a big injury year, but the youth is on his side.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think is the explosions probably on his side.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: And this is an offense that I expect to have a pretty nice bounce back and Baker like two years ago through for 40 touchdowns was in like the MVP race for half the year.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm a fan of getting McMillan on the bench and seeing if he can surpass Godwin pretty quickly there.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: I have waffled on God when so hard throughout the off season.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot make up my mind on this guy because the upside, the positive aspect of his outlook.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's so obvious.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this guy was what the Y deceiver two and points per game in 2024 last year, obviously heavily impacted by the recovery from that injury deals with fibula issues as well.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: And the numbers come crashing down.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: There were some encouraging numbers once he finally got ramp back up and integrated into the offense in the final month of the year.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: I do like Godwin as a start this week.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, just such an awesome game environment against the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: It can go so many ways, though.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: It can go so many ways.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I think I think
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: Macmillan is fine to add on the end of your bench just given the fact that Godwin just being totally cooked and done for is 100% in the range of outcomes.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: How likely it is, again, I have not made up my mind on it.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: I have really no idea because we're dealing with a very small sample from last year and a sample that was impacted by the injuries that he was dealing with.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: So a little bit, I'm kind of throwing up my hands with the buck and ears wide receivers.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's just so hard to get a
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: we see them out on the field.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think that getting ahead of McMillan could be a sharp call because if he is obviously ahead of Godwin, and this is an awesome spot for him to have a potential blowup game against a potentially improved but generally underwhelming Cincinnati Bangles defense.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to get out ahead of that, I want to be too shocked if it ends up being a good idea.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like you can't get out ahead of God because he's he's his own everywhere.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like I'd rather kind of you know look the other way here I think there's a few things going with the game environment like one.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a world where like Chris Godwin just ends up being this year's Keenan Allen where it's like he's clearly on the decline He's not very good, but he's still like usable on fantasy because he has a hundred twenty targets
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's just 120 like useless targets that kind of just like piss everybody off like his numbers doesn't played many games over the last two years doesn't have a ton of targets But if you stay healthy, they're probably gonna force him into a big role.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know playing the bangles great match up the bangles do have like a legit shutdown corner on the outside and DJ Turner I don't know if he's gonna move around with a boooka like all these guys their roles are very difficult to figure out in Tampa Bay because they all kind of seem like the same dude where they're like
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: Could be the flanker.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Could be the Z.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Could be the X.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Could be this.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Could be that.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I don't know what's going to play, but if DJ Turner ends up shadowing Ibuka in week one, I do feel pretty confident that one of these other receivers is probably going to have a good game.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: If it ends up being McMillan, he's going to be very hard to get.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm someone that I think I'm just going to try to get ahead of it.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: Again, if it doesn't work out, God will go 7 for 80 and like McMillan 3 for 20, could always drop him.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: he's that's an easy drop after week one of things don't go out according to plan the next guy that I had here I do at some point during this program I have to attempt to sell you on Emmett Johnson one more time he does undoubtedly fall in that cluster of priority handcuff running backs that we've been talking about yeah yeah Nadji Harris yeah the Nadji Harris tier famously is where Emmett Johnson falls
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: But man, since we last spoke, they wave a Mari di Mercado, that they clearly signal that this is the RB2 and he read follows it up with some quotes saying how much he loved Emma Johnson's performance in past protection.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: So there is really no doubt in my mind that should Kenneth Walker miss any time.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Emma Johnson becomes the three downworkhorse for the chiefs.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: That definition can take on a variety of forms, whether it's 65% of the snaps, 75% of the
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think he is going to be the very, very obvious number one.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: I said it on record.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying it again.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: For Shard Smith, Gadget Guy, he's fun.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's special.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: He may be an explosive playmaker, not a real running back.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't really count on the depth chart.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: He can do the pass catching stuff.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: They kick returning.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: But outside of that, not a real complete skill set.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: Emma Johnson on the other hand, they're talking him up.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: He shows in college that he has the workhorse, the three down skill set.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: The runway is so, so obvious.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: And the team seems to love this guy.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, listen, the demarcado cut is like, it's big for your bullshit.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's big for your bullshit.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: I need talking points for this narrative, man, I need talking points.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: There's no, I don't think there's any real argument against it at this point.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: Once you got rid of, you know, the the child there over there with demarcado, it's like cool.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of hands up for for Emma Johnson.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely in that tier, right below Najihar, you know, right in that tier.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've been debating my gallon versus Emma Johnson all week, man.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I think it's, I think it's ever there.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, I'll give you, I'll give you the win with Emmid over Seth McGowan.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: I thank you.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: Kansas City though.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: Any interesting Cyrus Allen, you know, a lot of hype throughout the summer, obviously.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think the hype probably went too far.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's a very high chance that we don't see really like any Cyrus Allen this year.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think there's so much uncertainty around the receiving core with Kansas City that he could be a stash.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: He could be the last player on your bench that you're like, all right,
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: Xavier worthy hasn't really proven to be a legit NFL receiver by any stretch of the imagination.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: Rashi Rice has looked horrible in every video that's come out.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know if he's like fully healthy and ready to go at this point.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: Is he just a product of like all these fake you know targets for himself as well?
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: Does that get exposed this year?
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Chiefs do like Tyquan Thorin like way too much and he'll probably play.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: He'll be like the Xavier Hutchinson of the Kansas City Chiefs in a way.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I think Cyrus Allen's kind of like the mystery box here.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's like does he have upside in an offense that maybe we want pieces of so any interest in throne Cyrus at the end of your bench?
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: No, no of that.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: I can't really do it.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: I can't do it, Cyrus.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's like the whole like talking point is like Patrick Mahomes finally has his man beater.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know what teams do in the NFL?
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: They play his own coverage, like 70% of the time.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is just not better than these other guys.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: They invest first round draft capital in Xavier where he has a disappointing year one.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: I've been willing to say all off season that year two is basically a loss year given the shoulder injury that he suffers on the what third snap of the season and then all.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's enticing don't do this to yourself, bro.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: Where are these fucking cheeks?
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's so bad.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's so...
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying he's going to be good, but they got to see what they have in this guy.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is a first round player.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_01]: They've only got what, 16 real healthy games out of them.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's like dealing with shoulder stuff again.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't see Cyrus Allen leapfrogging these guys.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like the thing that he's good at, it's a meaningful skill in the NFL.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's not something like I'm not going to say Cyrus Allen is such a good man beater that he's going to force his way on in the field.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just don't get the whole Cyrus Allen thing.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't really bought into it.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is just like one of those training camp clips gone wild type of situation.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, what are we doing here?
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: Now, fair, fair, let's stay along that tight beat though.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: Any interest in Jacobi Lane.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's another rookie Baltimore Ravens third round pick, ton of hype this preseason.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't look like he's gonna jump a shot baitman yet, but it does look like he's cleared the wide receiver three roll.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy that I'm interested in having on my bench to see if he can kind of overtake Bateman be the two here.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of production from the tight end position over the last, you know, bunch of years in Baltimore where it's like Andrews's way past his prime, Blakely's not there anymore.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: So do they look towards a bigger body guy down there outside his A-flowers?
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: Could that be Jacobi Lane?
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: Does Declan Doyle bring like more stability to the passing game here in Baltimore?
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: I like what I've heard and he's one where it's like, you know, you could look at like Chris Bell and then you could look at Jacobi Lane and say, hey, you know, attached me to a better offense, one with the more stable quarterback, one with more stable play calling.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: Lane's a guy that I feel like the the hype does feel semi legitimate behind it.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: And it does feel like there's a little bit of like staying power behind him, making some noise this year.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, with Lane, it's similar to like the Malachi field thing I think Lane is definitely a better player than Malachi fields, but what you're asking is some big body contested kind of guy to also become a real target earner and someone who can come in volume because
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: If if Lane is this red zone weapon, this just contested situation downfield playmaker, that's great.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like he could put up some good fantasy numbers as a rookie, but can I get him into my lineup with any sort of confidence that he is going to have.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: the volume and the floor needed to be anything other than like a zero or a 13 point player.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: So this is one where I like the offense.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously the buzz is there and you don't really have to give anything up to to get them in like best ball and some like high stakes leagues like he was steaming up to where you had to spend legitimate draft capital.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: But if you can just stash lane on your bench because you picked them up off the waiver wire you got them in the last
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: see if you can eat into Z-flowers target share, see if you can establish himself as a regular receiver in this offense because I'm very, very high on the Baltimore Ravens.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: I always have been throughout the Lamar Jackson era.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: They bring in Declan Doyle, Lamar Jackson has been talking crazy about how good this offense is going to be in 26.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: I want to buy into it.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm skeptical that that lane can can be that consistent target earner and weapon for this team.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: But if it happens, I think it could be a good hit just because of how good this offense is going to be.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll give it a handful of weeks.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: See if he is starting to emerge alongside of some of these more established guys and then go from there.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think for the most part I agree like it is it is going to be a little bit difficult to have a ton of value as the second or third passing option in this offense at just historically not been a high volume passing offense, but it does kind of make me think like chicken or the egg has the second option in the Lamar Jackson passing offense never succeed because they haven't had like a legit one or.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, vice versa, Kenji Kobielane be like a T-hig in type where he's just like a high level number two to supplement the real number one guy there and, you know, any time you want to think of like a tiebreaker it is usually just sound process to lean in the favor of someone attached to the margins and someone attached to the Baltimore offense, just like kind of go down that path.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: So jk Kobielane's a do that I'd like to have at the end of my roster if I'm just thinking of upside dudes in redraft anybody else in your list.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I did want to, I know we've been talking so much about quality offences and guys who can hit consistently, but I do need to throw.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Dee, is he coming?
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: He was the last guy on my list to let's go.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's coming.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's coming.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Ad9 Mitchell.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: His problem is that coaches hate him and his hands have been terrible, but man, how can you give up on this guy?
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's he's so good at everything else.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like he gets open, he earns volume, he can be a playmaker with a ball in his hands.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's not owned basically anywhere because they see jets, they see the additions to the Y-to-Ceverroom and just the past catching core in the draft.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: But this guy, he was exciting and he posted some good numbers down the stretch last year.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you just go take a quick look at the game logs.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's like six targets, eight targets, nine targets.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: You got up to 12 targets in a single game that comes with a caveat that Garrett Wilson was shut down for the season at that.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: point.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: But when he gets playing time this guy, he just creates separation.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: He earns targets.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: He just does everything that you want to see out of a fantasy-wide receiver.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: Except for some time, he drops the ball and looks like a jackass out on the field.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: He drops the ball before he gets into the end zone two and makes his coaches want to sit and send them to New York to go suffer with Justin Fields in company.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: Still, this is a talent that I have not given up on.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we should if this offense is even semi-competent and he separates from Omar Cooper Jr. from Kenyan City clearly becomes the number two behind gear wasn't I think he will get the first crack as being the quote unquote number two wide receiver.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: Omar Cooper Jr. said he they're going to have to take that job from ahead and I mentioned but if he can hold onto it over the course of the season, I think there can be something there.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's super talented.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's like an explosive guy that also gives you that like spike week boom week value where he's always gonna be on the top of mind for fantasy players because you know, even if you forget about him, like a week later he's gonna have a big game and then be top of the waiver wireless for people.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the schedule over the first half of the year kind of like points in that direction where they get 10 to scene week one, good matchup obviously.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: We three and four they get Detroit Chicago a few weeks later they get Miami Las Vegas.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: So they have these like chunks of their schedule
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: really, really saw a passing game matchups.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: And it's absolutely his job to lose as the Wider Seever 2 there with Omar and Kenyan Siddiquin.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: They don't really have many other targets of consequence.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: They're outside of Garrett Wilson, like Breeze Hall out of the backfield, but Adam Mitchell's like more of a downfield, explosive playmaker, and Gina loves throwing the ball downfield.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think he's at that point now where it's like he feels like he's got something to prove.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably going to launch passes all over the place.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think him and Adam I have a good chemistry so far.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know, whether or not the jets are going to actually prove any of their delusional fans, right?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: For like once this decade, we'll see, but I like the call on AD a lot.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_00]: He was he was the last guy I kind of had on this list that I'm like, I would definitely throw him on my roster and see if he can kind of go bar for bar with Garrett Wilson in terms of just like explosive weeks kind of going back and forth.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's, I think it's definitely possible.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're on the same page there for sure.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_00]: Anyone else to wrap up with?
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'll throw a Keaton Mitchell if he's not on your team or not owned in your league.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think I pulled the SPN numbers.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's sitting right around 20% right now, which is kind of wild.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: Just a very exciting and interesting player, as well as a very exciting and interesting offense.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: don't only need to say more than that, just see what happens.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: See what Mike Daniel has planned for him.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: He has been dealing with an injury for the last two weeks, but I believe he returned to practice yesterday.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: So it seems like he'll be good to go for week one.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_01]: People want to make the comparison at Devon HN.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's a little disingenuous HN's kind of one of one, but a playmaker, a quarterback offense.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: We all want to invest in special guy with Keaton Mitchell as well.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, he's only 35% owned in sleeper leagues.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I will say, like, this could be the last time to pick him up, considering the gamescript in week one, like their 10 point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Hampton is going to get his, but the entire running back room might combine for, you know, 35, 40 touches in this one.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_00]: There's, there's probably not a real path for Herbert throwing the ball 40 times when they're not going to need to against the Cardinals.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's either running back, having like a very big day, a couple of big explosives from keeping make sure against the Swiss cheese, like Arizona Cardinals.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to be all over, yeah, waiver wires.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: So like, yeah, keyed Mitchell like that pick up as well.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like we could wrap up there.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: You guys will be watching this Wednesday, which means the very first game is tonight.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's official football's back to ruin our lives for the next five months, every single day consecutively.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_00]: We'll leave you there.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be back next week, of course.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: Still trying to like, now or down the exact content schedule for you.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: But Michael will be back throughout the rest of the season.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to be putting out a bunch of content.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm assuming on your internet.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_00]: individual channel right throughout the throughout the year.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: If I haven't someone call my mom or the police or something because something has happened to make big plans over on the channel.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: Big day, big plans, big stuff.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure you hit the button that looks like this down below.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: Subscribe to the channel if you're new here.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: Subscribe to Michael's channel as well.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: Follow him on Twitter and we will see you when we see you.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: Smooches.
